- 0:00Speaker 1: Stirring the pot, one morning at a time. Welcome to
- 0:04Speaker 1: the Alabama Show.
- 0:16Speaker 2: If we both revolt today, then we can't both get
- 0:20Speaker 2: in trouble.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I don't think it works like that.
- 0:22Speaker 2: It does. If we both revolt today at work, if
- 0:26Speaker 2: we both leave early today, we can't both get in trouble.
- 0:30Speaker 1: We're already the trouble child of the station.
- 0:33Speaker 2: We're both leaving early today at the same time. That way,
- 0:38Speaker 2: neither one of us can be like, I don't know,
- 0:40Speaker 2: Alabama did it. So if we both leave early today,
- 0:45Speaker 2: we both can't get in trouble.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Are you convincing me or yourself on this one?
- 0:50Speaker 2: You, I'm telling you, you're leaving early with me today.
- 0:52Speaker 2: We're leaving early today.
- 0:53Speaker 1: It's Friday.
- 0:53Speaker 2: We're getting out of here. Boss, if you're listening, it's Friday.
- 0:59Speaker 1: We're leaving.
- 1:00Speaker 2: We got things to do. I got chickens to get.
- 1:03Speaker 1: We're going.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I got a chicken deal going on after work. I'm
- 1:06Speaker 2: leaving early to pick up these chickens.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Why didn't you leave with that? What do you mean
- 1:09Speaker 1: you got a chicken deal?
- 1:11Speaker 2: Don't worry about it. Just we're leaving early. That's all
- 1:13Speaker 2: we're saying. Okay.
- 1:14Speaker 1: It's Friday.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Anyway, good morning. Thanks for listening to the Alabama show.
- 1:18Speaker 2: If you're new here, we are the troublemakers. Thanks for
- 1:21Speaker 2: being here. Call the show. What are you doing this weekend?
- 1:25Speaker 2: 833-501-BAMA is the number. That's 833-501-2262. Happy Friday.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Stop.
- 1:32Speaker 1: It's What the Hell Headlines.
- 1:33Speaker 2: What the hell are you talking about?
- 1:35Speaker 4: On the Alabama show.
- 1:37Speaker 2: There was a cheesesteak assault in Philadelphia. What the hell?
- 1:42Speaker 1: I mean, that's the only place it can happen, but
- 1:44Speaker 1: I don't know what you mean by an attack.
- 1:46Speaker 2: A Philly cheesesteak restaurant in Pennsylvania is looking for a
- 1:49Speaker 2: man who threw a cheesesteak at an employee's face and
- 1:53Speaker 2: then ran off. Listen to this.
- 1:56Speaker 3: The person showed up with a camera and tripod, leading
- 1:59Speaker 3: him to believe he may be an influencer. He ordered
- 2:02Speaker 3: a cheesesteak with whiz and onions and came back a
- 2:05Speaker 3: few minutes later.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Hit me in the face.
- 2:07Speaker 5: He stood at the window and then he took off
- 2:09Speaker 5: running down the street. Turns around and he says to me.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Well, he says it's garbage.
- 2:13Speaker 5: There was another couple eating outside. I pointed at them
- 2:16Speaker 5: and I said, guys, how was your steaks tonight? They said,
- 2:18Speaker 5: our steaks were great.
- 2:20Speaker 6: Why would you throw a cheesesteak in someone's face?
- 2:21Speaker 1: That's assault.
- 2:22Speaker 6: I'm thinking about offering a 500, no, maybe a $ 5, 000
- 2:24Speaker 6: cash reward. for the arrest and prosecution and jail and
- 2:29Speaker 6: jailment of this person for assault and battery on my manager.
- 2:33Speaker 7: What the hell?
- 2:35Speaker 4: Super Easy Trivia with The Alabama Show.
- 2:40Speaker 2: 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show if you
- 2:42Speaker 2: ever want to play Super Easy Trivia. Tanya, good morning.
- 2:45Speaker 2: What are you doing right now? I'm driving to work.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Where do you work? What do you do? I work
- 2:50Speaker 2: at Peterbilt at Birmingham. Heck yeah. Well, thank you for
- 2:52Speaker 2: what you do. Tanya, you want to play super easy
- 2:55Speaker 2: trivia and win tickets to Homestead Hollow? Yes. All right.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I got you. Producer Blake is your lifeline if you
- 3:01Speaker 2: need him. Here is question number one. How many legs
- 3:04Speaker 2: does a spider have? Eight.
- 3:06Speaker 1: There you go.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Good job. Next one. What is the fastest land animal?
- 3:12Speaker 1: Cheetah.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Cheetah, cheetah, pumpkin eater. Yeah, I just made that up.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Last one for the win. Tanya, who is Batman's crime
- 3:23Speaker 2: fighting partner? Robin. Robin is it. Congratulations, Tanya. You just
- 3:38Speaker 2: won super easy trivia. Thank you.
- 3:41Speaker 4: It's three things you need to know with.
- 3:44Speaker 2: The Alabama Show. Don't forget, Rock the South is this weekend,
- 3:47Speaker 2: and it's in a new location. It's in Decatur, Alabama.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Jason Altean, Jesse Murph, Riley Green, all the amazing country artists.
- 3:55Speaker 2: And they have some carnival rides this year because it's
- 3:58Speaker 2: in October. It's in fall, so you'll have all the
- 4:00Speaker 2: fall time vibes. But Rock the South this weekend. If
- 4:03Speaker 2: you're going, have fun. Be safe. Send us all the
- 4:05Speaker 2: photos and tag us because we want to see how
- 4:07Speaker 2: awesome of a weekend you're having.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Tinder.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Tinder. Just launched a group hangouts feature for friend style dating,
- 4:14Speaker 2: which allows three or more users to connect with other
- 4:17Speaker 2: groups to go do stuff together. So it's an expansion.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I didn't even know that Tinder had this. It's their
- 4:24Speaker 2: app's double date mode. It just extends on that. So
- 4:27Speaker 2: what groups can do, you can add an activity of
- 4:30Speaker 2: interest like hiking and then go find other people with
- 4:33Speaker 2: matching preferences and be like, hey, I want to go
- 4:35Speaker 2: for a hike. And then you can all go for
- 4:36Speaker 2: a hike. Diddy is back in solitary confinement after the
- 4:41Speaker 2: story broke about his contraband.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I'm so happy. Why was this not a thing already?
- 4:46Speaker 2: I don't know. NBC News revealed that Diddy was using
- 4:49Speaker 2: a contraband cell phone to look at Instagram. He had
- 4:52Speaker 2: Hennessy in his jail cell. and was watching Netflix on
- 4:56Speaker 2: a jailbroken tablet. So now the prison that he's in
- 4:58Speaker 2: in New Jersey has put him in solitary confinement. Diddy
- 5:02Speaker 2: is expected to be released from prison and be back
- 5:06Speaker 2: out into the free world in early 2028.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I don't think that's right. I don't agree, but, you know,
- 5:12Speaker 1: what am I supposed to say?
- 5:13Speaker 2: This whole thing is crazy.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Anyway, that's three things you need to know. More at thealabamashow.com.
- 5:20Speaker 4: You are listening to The Alabama Show.
- 5:22Speaker 2: The following program is on demand. Good morning, Ryan. What's
- 5:26Speaker 2: your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 5:28Speaker 7: Am I wrong for not letting my brother use my
- 5:30Speaker 7: Airbnb for free?
- 5:31Speaker 2: Oh, that's why we do Ask Alabama. If you ever
- 5:34Speaker 2: have an issue, call the show, especially Family Drama. We'll
- 5:37Speaker 2: do our best to help you. 833-501-BAMA is the number.
- 5:41Speaker 2: What's going on? Why aren't you letting your brother use
- 5:43Speaker 2: your Airbnb for free?
- 5:45Speaker 7: I own a small Airbnb that I rent out to
- 5:47Speaker 7: help cover my mortgage and other bills.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Okay.
- 5:50Speaker 7: And my brother recently asked if he could stay there
- 5:53Speaker 7: for a week with his family for free because it's
- 5:57Speaker 7: just sitting there empty.
- 5:58Speaker 2: And what did you say to him?
- 6:00Speaker 7: Well, I told him I could give him a discount
- 6:02Speaker 7: of great, but I won't let him stay there for
- 6:05Speaker 7: free because I still have bills and other cleaning costs.
- 6:08Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 6:09Speaker 7: And he got annoyed and said I was treating family
- 6:12Speaker 7: wrong and I should be willing to help them out.
- 6:14Speaker 7: Now he's saying I'm being greedy and called our mom
- 6:17Speaker 7: over it and she's blowing on my phone saying I
- 6:19Speaker 7: should help my brother out. Am I wrong for this?
- 6:21Speaker 2: Producer Blake, would you give your brother an Airbnb for
- 6:24Speaker 2: free if you owned it or charge him?
- 6:26Speaker 1: I'm charging.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Why would you know?
- 6:27Speaker 1: It's your business. You're such a little brat.
- 6:29Speaker 2: It's sitting there for free. Nobody's in it anyway.
- 6:33Speaker 1: It's my business. I'm not going to just give it
- 6:35Speaker 1: out for free to anybody.
- 6:36Speaker 2: That doesn't make sense. They could literally clean up after themselves.
- 6:40Speaker 2: I think you should let them stay there.
- 6:42Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't know.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Are you saying you'd give your family free radio commercials?
- 6:47Speaker 2: No.
- 6:47Speaker 1: It's the same thing. It's the same thing.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Call the show. 833-501-BAMA is the number. Should Ryan let
- 6:55Speaker 2: his brother use his Airbnb for free or should he
- 6:58Speaker 2: charge him?
- 6:58Speaker 3: 833-501-2262.
- 7:01Speaker 4: The Alabama Show on demand. Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 7:06Speaker 2: 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show. Nolan, good morning.
- 7:10Speaker 2: What do you think about Ryan's brother wanting to use
- 7:12Speaker 2: the Airbnb he owns for free?
- 7:15Speaker 9: Honestly, I think you should charge him. But definitely a
- 7:19Speaker 9: discounted rate for family.
- 7:21Speaker 2: But why not just give it to him for free?
- 7:23Speaker 2: It's literally a house that's sitting there that nobody's going
- 7:25Speaker 2: to be using. And he could let his brother just
- 7:28Speaker 2: stay in it.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Do you give a.
- 7:29Speaker 9: Lot of things to your family members for free?
- 7:32Speaker 1: Good question.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Yes, I drive my grandmother around all the time. She's
- 7:36Speaker 2: on my phone bill.
- 7:37Speaker 9: I mean, that's honorable. That's very honorable.
- 7:40Speaker 2: But.
- 7:41Speaker 9: You've got to charge family members for property they use
- 7:45Speaker 9: unless you're literally willing to volunteer it yourself.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I mean, if it were like a distant cousin, I
- 7:51Speaker 2: would charge you, but your brother, I mean, come on.
- 7:54Speaker 3: No.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Nolan, thank you for calling.
- 7:58Speaker 4: It's three things you need to know with The Alabama Show.
- 8:01Speaker 2: The Summit just sold for $ 508 million to a firm
- 8:07Speaker 2: in Maryland. The Summit is the most visited retail destination
- 8:11Speaker 2: in Alabama. It's right off 280 in Birmingham. It gets
- 8:14Speaker 2: 9 million visits every single year. We don't know if
- 8:17Speaker 2: the people who bought it are going to add any
- 8:19Speaker 2: more stores to it because the Summit right now is
- 8:21Speaker 2: like 92% filled in all the storefronts, but we do
- 8:25Speaker 2: already have things like the Apple Store, Trader Joe's, Nordstrom Rack,
- 8:28Speaker 2: and more. Halle Berry's ex filed a restraining order and
- 8:32Speaker 2: it was granted. According to people, her ex Oliver Martinez
- 8:36Speaker 2: said that she attacked their 12 year old son that
- 8:38Speaker 2: they have together. He's asking that she not drink or
- 8:41Speaker 2: be under the influence when she is around him and
- 8:43Speaker 2: that she take a sobriety test before every single visit.
- 8:46Speaker 2: He's also seeking sole custody of their son. I am
- 8:49Speaker 2: hoping this is a hard one for me to report
- 8:51Speaker 2: and to hear because I like Halle Berry. And if
- 8:54Speaker 2: she has a problem, I hope that this is the
- 8:57Speaker 2: beginning of her her. working on it and getting the
- 8:59Speaker 2: help that she needs caleb flynn former american idol contestant
- 9:05Speaker 2: was found guilty in the unaliving of his wife i
- 9:09Speaker 2: mean that is a tough situation this has been all
- 9:12Speaker 2: over tiktok he was having an affair with another member
- 9:15Speaker 2: of the church flynn said that an intruder had broken
- 9:18Speaker 2: in and gotten his wife and that was not the
- 9:21Speaker 2: case The court case was wild. They were playing songs
- 9:25Speaker 2: that he had written for his mistress. And you can
- 9:28Speaker 2: see the video of everybody in the courtroom.
- 9:30Speaker 1: That one, that one is, I shouldn't laugh at it,
- 9:34Speaker 1: but that one was a crazy situation.
- 9:36Speaker 2: People were trying not to laugh in the courtroom and
- 9:38Speaker 2: keep their composure. They also made his mistress read some
- 9:41Speaker 2: of the text online. that she sent to him and
- 9:45Speaker 2: some of her texts were like i wish your wife
- 9:48Speaker 2: wasn't here anymore and i i think that she should
- 9:51Speaker 2: they should go after her next i feel like she
- 9:53Speaker 2: influenced him to do it well she was.
- 9:55Speaker 1: An accomplice it sounds like but i mean what can
- 9:57Speaker 1: i say that's just a it's crazy.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Yeah that's the things you need to know more at
- 10:02Speaker 2: the alabama show.com you are listening.
- 10:05Speaker 4: To the alabama show on demand if.
- 10:08Speaker 2: You have good news call the show 833-501-BAMA is the
- 10:11Speaker 2: number my good news is is what my possible future
- 10:15Speaker 2: that i have dreamed up That is.
- 10:18Speaker 8: You are insane. Producer Blake, I had a dream last night.
- 10:23Speaker 8: I came into work and I told Producer Blake, I
- 10:26Speaker 8: was like, I had a dream last night that I
- 10:27Speaker 8: was dating Ryan Seacrest.
- 10:30Speaker 2: And then I said, I said, maybe that means that
- 10:34Speaker 2: I could date him one day.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Yeah, okay. It's not going to happen.
- 10:38Speaker 2: And this is producer Blake's reaction. You don't know that.
- 10:41Speaker 2: We work for the same company. Your reaction is what's
- 10:45Speaker 2: making me mad. It's not out of the realm of possibilities.
- 10:49Speaker 1: You're so right.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Literally, his old boss is our show coach. We talk
- 10:54Speaker 2: to one guy every two weeks that talks to him
- 10:57Speaker 2: every day.
- 10:57Speaker 1: And that'll help.
- 10:59Speaker 2: I can tell him to put in a good word
- 11:01Speaker 2: for me if I want it.
- 11:02Speaker 1: How are you going to reach out to him?
- 11:04Speaker 2: I got him to record the Wheel of Pumpkin thing
- 11:07Speaker 2: for us.
- 11:07Speaker 1: You know what? You go shoot your shot.
- 11:10Speaker 2: See what I had happen?
- 11:11Speaker 1: Watch.

- 11:15Speaker 1: Wait.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Wait.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Pumpkin!
- 11:20Speaker 2: This is what's awesome today. I did this. Welcome to
- 11:25Speaker 2: Wheel of Pumpkin.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I'm your host, Ryan Seacrest.
- 11:28Speaker 2: In honor of fall, the Alabama show is having producer Blake.
- 11:31Speaker 2: He said my name right there. Try all the pumpkin
- 11:33Speaker 2: spiced flavored treats this season has to offer. Tell me
- 11:36Speaker 2: I can't date Ryan Seacrest.
- 11:38Speaker 1: You can't date Ryan Seacrest.
- 11:40Speaker 2: You never know. It's not that far out of the
- 11:44Speaker 2: realm of possibilities.
- 11:46Speaker 1: And I've got a shot with Sabrina Carpenter. No, you don't.
- 11:49Speaker 2: That's never happening for you.
- 11:50Speaker 1: It's in the realm of possibility. It's music. We work
- 11:52Speaker 1: on a music station. That's how it works.
- 11:54Speaker 2: No.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Yes.
- 11:55Speaker 2: It is not the same.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Yes, it's going to work.
- 11:59Speaker 2: You're a jerk.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I'm not a jerk. I'm realistic.
- 12:02Speaker 2: You're not realistic.
- 12:03Speaker 1: This is realism.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Quit raining on my parade.
- 12:08Speaker 1: You keep dreaming, baby. I will.
- 12:10Speaker 2: It was a dream. Anyway, if you have good news
- 12:13Speaker 2: you want to share, call the show 833-501-BAMA is the number.
- 12:16Speaker 4: The Alabama Show on demand. Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I can't wait to go to the Butterbean Festival tomorrow.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I will tell you what. I'm going to get my
- 12:28Speaker 1: Butterbean on.
- 12:31Speaker 2: There's this thing that happens in Pinson. It's called the
- 12:33Speaker 2: Butterbean Festival. It's been like a tradition since as long
- 12:38Speaker 2: as I can remember. You eat Butterbeans, you ride carnival rides.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Apparently my Starbucks girl, her little brother's in a band
- 12:43Speaker 2: and he's performing. There's vendors.
- 12:47Speaker 1: We're going to be there. We're going.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I'm making producer Blake go because he moved to Pinson,
- 12:52Speaker 2: which is where I grew up, and we're going to
- 12:53Speaker 2: the Butterbean Festival.
- 12:55Speaker 5: I'm in.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I love butter and I love beans. I love a
- 12:59Speaker 1: butter bean. Just trust me. I know what it means.
- 13:02Speaker 9: Okay.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I love Butterbean.
- 13:05Speaker 2: If you're at the Butterbean Festival this weekend, make sure
- 13:08Speaker 2: you say hey to us. And no, we were not
- 13:10Speaker 2: paid to talk about this.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I just love Butterbean.
- 13:12Speaker 2: We were just really excited to talk about it.
- 13:15Speaker 4: You are listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I witnessed a murder happen yesterday on my property.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Was it an animal or was it a person?
- 13:26Speaker 7: It was crazy.
- 13:27Speaker 1: That's a big deal.
- 13:29Speaker 2: To the Alabama show I'm Alabama with producer Blake I've
- 13:32Speaker 2: got peacocks chickens dogs cats and farm life.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Okay okay okay and now I feel better.
- 13:38Speaker 2: So I'm washing my dishes and at my kitchen sink
- 13:42Speaker 2: there's a window that looks out over my back patio
- 13:45Speaker 2: and one of my peacocks is out there yeah and
- 13:47Speaker 2: he starts shaking his head and flinging something up in
- 13:50Speaker 2: the air he throws it up And then it falls
- 13:53Speaker 2: down on the ground and it moves. And then he
- 13:56Speaker 2: picks it up and shakes it. Kind of like a
- 13:57Speaker 2: dog with a dog toy when they're throwing stuff up
- 14:00Speaker 2: in the air and playing with it.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 14:02Speaker 2: My peacock was doing it. And I went, what has
- 14:04Speaker 2: he got?
- 14:05Speaker 1: Okay.
- 14:05Speaker 2: And I kept watching. And then I noticed the legs
- 14:09Speaker 2: hanging on it. It was a frog.
- 14:10Speaker 1: He got the frog.
- 14:13Speaker 2: He played with it like a cat does a mouse,
- 14:16Speaker 2: and then finally he ate it. He swallowed it whole.
- 14:20Speaker 1: How big was the frog?
- 14:22Speaker 2: Big enough. I was standing there watching going, oh, my God.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Did you look away? No, I watched the whole thing.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I was like, this is like National Geographic. What's happening
- 14:33Speaker 2: in my yard right now? That was sick.
- 14:35Speaker 1: How many toss-ups did it get before it ate it? Enough.
- 14:38Speaker 2: I don't know, like three or four.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Okay, so he was trying to do some damage before
- 14:42Speaker 1: he ate it.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Yeah, and there was a moment, because if you have
- 14:46Speaker 2: a cat, call the show 833-501-BIMA. I've had a cat
- 14:49Speaker 2: that's killed a mouse before, and I've flipped out and
- 14:51Speaker 2: taken the mouse away from the cat. So I was
- 14:53Speaker 2: standing there for a minute going... Do I go take
- 14:55Speaker 2: this frog away from the peacock? But no.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I think it's natural, right? Do peacocks natural? Are they
- 15:02Speaker 1: the natural predator of a frog?
- 15:03Speaker 2: It says they eat rodents and they'll eat snakes. I
- 15:07Speaker 2: was like, get a snake, buddy. Why you got to
- 15:09Speaker 2: get the frogs?
- 15:09Speaker 1: I don't know. It was weird. I've never heard of it. Well, also,
- 15:12Speaker 1: I've never heard anyone having 10 peacocks in their yard before. So,
- 15:16Speaker 1: I mean, this is a little bit different in general.
- 15:17Speaker 2: I do have 10 peacocks. But you got to, if
