- 0:59Speaker 2: basically the weekend. Guess what? Uh what it was in
- 1:06Speaker 2: the car last night after dinner?
- 1:09Speaker 5: Did you wake up sad like I did yesterday?
- 1:11Speaker 2: No?
- 1:11Speaker 4: Okay, well yeah it was pretty early. I was kind
- 1:14Speaker 4: of off bingals down eleven. Caught the uh I believe
- 1:20Speaker 4: it was on ESPN Radio. Caught the last two minutes
- 1:24Speaker 4: of the Pelicans.
- 1:25Speaker 5: Go block up.
- 1:28Speaker 2: If you did, you were excited. I was pumped up.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I'm a fan. Is that what you do? Fluck up?
- 1:35Speaker 2: Is that a real thing? Or is that that it is?
- 1:40Speaker 2: Which is awesome?
- 1:42Speaker 4: But like Chris Anderson the bird Man when he played
- 1:44Speaker 4: for the Pels it was the Hornets.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Then he's like nice bluck up. I don't know, I
- 1:48Speaker 2: like it ish, I like Winds two in a row,
- 1:52Speaker 2: big deal. Don't let the kids get hot. Uh so
- 1:56Speaker 2: you're in now? Oh yeah, Cooper Flag, sorry you take home?
- 2:00Speaker 6: And now oh they beat your Maverige.
- 2:03Speaker 7: That they did, he's now these Pels Now what a bandwagoner?
- 2:09Speaker 2: Yeah, he's Pels. Well, because I tried.
- 2:11Speaker 6: To get you to come to the Spurs.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Danny and t Bob like force me to like the Pelicans.
- 2:17Speaker 4: They said I couldn't like the Knicks anymore. And I'm like,
- 2:19Speaker 4: I'll be a team guy. I'll get behind this and
- 2:22Speaker 4: then Nick, I'm not really good. I don't care enough
- 2:25Speaker 4: hell pells, but here we are.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't care enough about basketball anymore to like,
- 2:30Speaker 2: you know, try to be loyal to the Mavericks. So
- 2:33Speaker 2: let's go fluck up. Okay, I still feel like I
- 2:38Speaker 2: feel still feel like kind of dirty when I say
- 2:40Speaker 2: flock up. For some reason, it's really close, you know,
- 2:43Speaker 2: not really, I mean, I mean, I don't know.
- 2:46Speaker 4: You did say all store toilet for about a month,
- 2:49Speaker 4: so maybe you will have a slip up.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Gordon McCarney, He did have that Ordon McCarney side the
- 2:57Speaker 3: blender it.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Let's ticket prices just went up though in a.
- 3:03Speaker 8: Row they did with the Matt Flinn endorsement.
- 3:06Speaker 4: And also also you know who they have coming up Saturday,
- 3:10Speaker 4: doesn't matter, Spurs on.
- 3:12Speaker 6: The road in San Antone.
- 3:17Speaker 2: So does this happened every year? Ever? There's just better
- 3:19Speaker 2: without Zion? Yes, okay, well they played.
- 3:21Speaker 8: Most of their games without Zion's sure, they're not great.
- 3:25Speaker 2: But they're better.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Can we certainly didn't have us starting the show here,
- 3:30Speaker 4: but here we are, there we go. I don't think
- 3:33Speaker 4: Zion's like trying to miss these games. I bet I
- 3:37Speaker 4: have been with teammates that signed big deals. We talked
- 3:40Speaker 4: about it a couple of years ago when it happened,
- 3:42Speaker 4: signed big deals and they never got back on the field,
- 3:46Speaker 4: and doctors like, I don't know what's wrong with the guy.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I don't even see anything.
- 3:50Speaker 4: And they signed a big deal and they're like, I'm good,
- 3:52Speaker 4: I'm just gonna ride off into the sunset take they
- 3:54Speaker 4: guaranteed money signing bonus and football, you know, guaranteed money
- 3:59Speaker 4: is kind of a thing that doesn't exist.
- 4:01Speaker 2: But I don't think it's that. I don't think it's that.
- 4:05Speaker 4: But also, how do you not stay healthy for any
- 4:11Speaker 4: extended period of time.
- 4:13Speaker 2: It's hard to do.
- 4:14Speaker 4: And I know he's twitchy, and I know he's like
- 4:15Speaker 4: everybody said, well, he's almost like too athletic for his
- 4:18Speaker 4: body type. His gate's bad, and I'm like, he's a
- 4:21Speaker 4: like multi million dollar individual.
- 4:24Speaker 2: He can't figure out his gait in the off season.
- 4:28Speaker 4: He can't figure out some things to help out his
- 4:30Speaker 4: training regimen to be able to shore up some things.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Are he saying no, if we can't, we can't. I
- 4:41Speaker 2: don't know. Is he not practice hard enough like first
- 4:44Speaker 2: half of the Lcie Tigers this year. I mean it
- 4:46Speaker 2: feels like he was skinny skinny's eyeon. Is most of
- 4:51Speaker 2: us like soft tissue too?
- 4:53Speaker 6: It was a hammy this year?
- 4:55Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean almost all.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Of it is. M Yeah. I don't buy the whole
- 5:01Speaker 2: too athletic for your body type deal.
- 5:04Speaker 6: You don't think that's what it is.
- 5:04Speaker 2: He's got a new body this year, he's got a
- 5:10Speaker 2: train harder, not training game speed. Maybe i've actually, you
- 5:16Speaker 2: know's defense, I've never seen him train callous yourself a
- 5:19Speaker 2: little bit, if you yourself those hammies well, or maybe
- 5:24Speaker 2: just like maybe not go so hard in the paint.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I don't know if that's it. Lebron walks around, doesn't
- 5:34Speaker 2: he don't basketball players do that. They do a lot
- 5:38Speaker 2: of walking around until it's time to go. Yeah, time
- 5:42Speaker 2: for that layup? Sure, basketball guy.
- 5:48Speaker 5: They finally start playing Derek Queen. That's turned out well.
- 5:52Speaker 7: The thing for the Pelicans. Look, however, many games win
- 5:55Speaker 7: or lose. Look like they've hit on both of their
- 5:58Speaker 7: both of their early pigs. Jeremiah Fears looks great. Derek
- 6:02Speaker 7: Queen's coming along, Like you've actually done a really good
- 6:04Speaker 7: job in the draft.
- 6:05Speaker 8: We're begging the Saints to hit on first.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Rump picks, second round, third round, fourth round, so on
- 6:13Speaker 4: and so forth.
- 6:14Speaker 6: Just in the draft.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Yeah, just hit.
- 6:19Speaker 6: Everybody wanted Willy Green fire two days ago.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Look at you two game win streak.
- 6:24Speaker 6: Don't let him get hot. He heard the talk. He's
- 6:27Speaker 6: like NBA is billionapier that.
- 6:29Speaker 8: That's a big Willy Green fall.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I mean, he'll be the great Marshaldoon Dimmian this right.
- 6:38Speaker 5: Uh, Matt wants to get Willy on the show.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Why not? Why not?
- 6:43Speaker 7: I told you, Look how early they are in the season.
- 6:46Speaker 7: They've already doubled the Saints wind total exactly. That's crazy,
- 6:50Speaker 7: way better than the Saints.
- 6:55Speaker 6: Shout out the pearls lock up.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Yeah, you got to play your guys that you got
- 6:58Speaker 2: to see what you got.
- 7:02Speaker 4: If I hear you have to see what you've got
- 7:05Speaker 4: one more time, it's professional God, go see what you
- 7:08Speaker 4: got you got to it's pro football.
- 7:11Speaker 5: They don't practice how they do They saw what they had.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Oh, they actually are on the field every single day
- 7:17Speaker 2: for two to three hours.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I got you, passes, spark I'm gonna start yelling
- 7:24Speaker 4: at let's called shuck Sparky.
- 7:26Speaker 6: Yeah that feels disrespectful.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Well, okay, I don't mean it at him, just the
- 7:34Speaker 2: people that say that. All right, all right, I don't
- 7:36Speaker 2: even know.
- 7:38Speaker 4: We're not talking about the Pelicans and the Saints in
- 7:40Speaker 4: the same segment.
- 7:40Speaker 3: How I love how you thought there was gonna be
- 7:42Speaker 3: a spark to an offense where nothing else but the
- 7:45Speaker 3: quarterback change.
- 7:46Speaker 4: Yeah, and the quarterback he took out. It wasn't perfect
- 7:50Speaker 4: by any means, but he could create some things on
- 7:53Speaker 4: his own.
- 7:55Speaker 2: He took that out. Yeah. Yeah, spark ain't gonna work.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Sparks don't work when you're trying to light wet wood.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Matter.
- 8:00Speaker 6: We got the Mary.
- 8:06Speaker 8: Missing the bigger picture. It's at the time this weekend.
- 8:10Speaker 2: That's right, that's right. He's gonna have a big role.
- 8:14Speaker 5: He's got thirty seven yards receiving.
- 8:16Speaker 2: On the season. He's got xavierly gets stats.
- 8:22Speaker 8: Right now, kids, The Road to one K.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Starts this week.
- 8:28Speaker 8: Yeah, this week to one hundred. Tell me what we're
- 8:35Speaker 8: halfway this season?
- 8:37Speaker 2: Thirty seven, two hundred. That's right.
- 8:41Speaker 6: I think I added an extra zero to your prediction.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not me. Two hundreds.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Great, we'll keep a vet here in studio. Road to
- 8:52Speaker 4: one hundred thirty seven yards. That's good.
- 8:56Speaker 6: Actually, Xavier Leget.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Has twenty so, oh he's got more than twenty.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Okay, maybe I'm look at the wrong I think he's
- 9:01Speaker 3: got one hundred and he's like one fifty.
- 9:04Speaker 6: Oh wait, I'm looking at that, my bad one.
- 9:06Speaker 4: So he's already as no, don't put that about the
- 9:12Speaker 4: wrong thing.
- 9:14Speaker 7: Let's see he's about to pop off and look at
- 9:18Speaker 7: the defense. He only has twenty catches.
- 9:19Speaker 6: Yeah, that's what I was twenty catches.
- 9:25Speaker 2: I don't know if you're counting, but it's a little
- 9:27Speaker 2: bit over nine yards of catch right there.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Oh, you traded the same thing that Seattle traded for
- 9:37Speaker 4: Shia fourth round.
- 9:38Speaker 2: There you, yeah, but they got to re sign him.
- 9:44Speaker 4: True, true, Well, here we are talking about the Pails
- 9:50Speaker 4: and the Saints, and the Saints in the opening segment.
- 9:52Speaker 2: An electric you gotta laugh through the pain people. Yeah. Hey,
- 9:58Speaker 2: I wasn't even a fan of either team, but for
- 10:00Speaker 2: I got on this radio show. So I blame this
- 10:02Speaker 2: radio show. It's not really anything the show can do
- 10:06Speaker 2: about it. Where relocated. Yeah, it's true. I couldn't. I
- 10:11Speaker 2: didn't even like the Saints. You didn't even like the Pelicans.
- 10:14Speaker 2: But now I'm a fan of both.
- 10:16Speaker 5: All right, God bless and got speed.
- 10:21Speaker 2: I gotta tell you that it hadn't been great. M hm.
- 10:24Speaker 7: You haven't enjoyed your early fan I have not enjoyed
- 10:27Speaker 7: it yet early returns.
- 10:28Speaker 2: But thanks a lot for that, guys. It used to
- 10:32Speaker 2: be a fan of winners.
- 10:33Speaker 6: LSU basketball beat Charlton State last.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Night, Texas.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Also it is they did look good third, I think
- 10:41Speaker 4: third best shooting percentage in like history.
- 10:44Speaker 8: Yes, seventy point look good.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Dish the ball around, leave over twenty five assists in
- 10:52Speaker 4: the game.
- 10:52Speaker 7: If you give d Dam Thomas shooters on the outside,
- 10:55Speaker 7: he can make some things happen for you.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Yesterday we were talking about the game. We were talking
- 11:01Speaker 2: about the Tarleton State's mascot being the Texas Riders, which
- 11:05Speaker 2: just like a weird way to say a cowboy, I think.
- 11:09Speaker 2: And right after we were talking about that, I was
- 11:11Speaker 2: looking at the logo and I was seeing like a cowboy,
- 11:14Speaker 2: and y'all kept talking about shooters. All right, I'm an idiot,
- 11:18Speaker 2: but you kept talking about shooters and I was like, cowboys,
- 11:22Speaker 2: That's all I could think about.
- 11:24Speaker 8: That's actually what they do.
- 11:25Speaker 2: When I was watching the game a little bit last night,
- 11:27Speaker 2: I was at dinner watching the game up on the
- 11:29Speaker 2: on the screen, and that's all I can think about
- 11:31Speaker 2: was pewope, pew dev our boy holdomatoes.
- 11:35Speaker 4: In the chat said un O beating TCU first game
- 11:38Speaker 4: out was strong as garlic.
- 11:39Speaker 2: We talked we sitting on the air because Masterpiece of GM,
- 11:42Speaker 2: yeah he was the only the only team in Louisiana.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I think that one.
- 11:46Speaker 4: Yeah, we have a shoutout master p which I think
- 11:52Speaker 4: they are maybe going to be a part of.
- 11:55Speaker 2: The l s U.
- 11:57Speaker 6: That's what they say.
- 11:58Speaker 2: System again, which I saw that.
- 11:59Speaker 5: But you know what, who knows what's real?
- 12:05Speaker 2: What do you mean chancellors just thought I thought everything
- 12:08Speaker 2: was done.
- 12:09Speaker 8: We just needed a coach.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Well, we'll come back. Turns out we'll get that show started.
- 12:16Speaker 4: This show started, and we'll try to figure that out
- 12:19Speaker 4: today right here on O TV, off the bench, all right, today, tomorrow,
- 12:27Speaker 4: this weekend, any day, anytime is a great time to
- 12:30Speaker 4: go for dose. So if you've got a watch party

- 12:56Speaker 2: and UH had a buddy in town, and we went
- 12:59Speaker 2: and had some Ji salt, a little case and guess

- 14:54Speaker 4: But good jo I mean everything goes a few seasons
- 14:57Speaker 4: too long for the most part of that is just right.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Well, you find like a good show or a good movie,
- 15:06Speaker 2: and yeah, so what and maybe it lost its fastball,
- 15:10Speaker 2: but it's still getting people out. Yeah. It's like, you know,
- 15:13Speaker 2: Rocky five, all right, not great, but still better than
- 15:18Speaker 2: No Rocky. It's fair. You could have no Rocky. You
- 15:21Speaker 2: could have no Rocky. Yeah, or you could have a
- 15:24Speaker 2: bad Rocky. I choose a bad.
- 15:26Speaker 6: Same about the Fast and Furious.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Well series or Jake does Yeah, hell yeah. I don't
- 15:33Speaker 2: even think I've seen the complete first one. So it's
- 15:42Speaker 2: one of the chats said, man, y'all hate a real
- 15:44Speaker 2: topic in the first segment, day but what are you
- 15:47Speaker 2: talking about?
- 15:48Speaker 7: Pelicans one basketball, Pelicans and the Saints. Yeah, none of
- 15:52Speaker 7: those teams are real. Yeah, good luck.

- 15:56Speaker 2: topics in one segment. Oh my, he was I know,
- 16:03Speaker 2: I know he put a haha on it.
- 16:05Speaker 4: But if you ever come here thinking and be like
- 16:08Speaker 4: immediately Lasu's president interim.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Tag, is it foold? Is it not? Not gonna be
- 16:14Speaker 2: the show? Now?
- 16:14Speaker 4: Second segment? We got you, we got you, we got you,
- 16:17Speaker 4: but we gotta get the vibes out. We got to
- 16:19Speaker 4: see what everybody's doing, what everybody's been up to, and
- 16:22Speaker 4: Matt's was flocking up. So that's what we want.
- 16:25Speaker 2: A big deal. Fandom is real. I want to get
- 16:28Speaker 2: a jersey?
- 16:30Speaker 6: Who who would you get?
- 16:34Speaker 2: No, I don't do that. Who should I get? You said?
- 16:38Speaker 2: Two names that I've never heard of before, Pears and

- 18:40Speaker 4: show started, Taylor, come to you.
- 18:44Speaker 7: Uh.
- 18:45Speaker 4: Yesterday we talked about the new athletic director for LSU Athletics,
- 18:49Speaker 4: for Joshbury. Somebody we know, somebody we've known for a
- 18:52Speaker 4: long time, good friend of ours, and let's move forward.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Got a president, got alignment is happy. But as Lee
- 19:03Speaker 4: Corso would say, not so fast, my friend.
- 19:07Speaker 7: Yeah, you guys thought we were alive, you thought we
- 19:10Speaker 7: were moving forward.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Yeah, fools, I mean, why would we do that?
- 19:15Speaker 5: He says in the Bible, don't say fools.
- 19:17Speaker 8: Why would we do that?
- 19:18Speaker 7: Why would we Why would we do something smoothly and
- 19:20Speaker 7: in the correct order? Why would we go l s
- 19:22Speaker 7: U A d coach that that makes no sense at all?
- 19:25Speaker 2: Ready? So yeah, right right, aim ready, No.
- 19:31Speaker 8: We're we're shooting first. We're not even ready for shoot.
- 19:33Speaker 2: We're shooting first.
- 19:34Speaker 7: So Piper Hutchinson interviewed Wade Ruth yesterday and was asked
- 19:41Speaker 7: about naming for Jawsberry's the athletic director because Wade Ruth said,
- 19:45Speaker 7: I am removing the interim tag. And he said, well,
- 19:48Speaker 7: I'll remove the interim tag and then we'll assess the situation.
- 19:53Speaker 7: I can't make a very good decision after being on
- 19:56Speaker 7: the job for eight hours. I would agree he he
- 20:00Speaker 7: didn't make a good decision because now he's backtracking everything.
- 20:03Speaker 8: So I'll give him that.
- 20:05Speaker 7: And he said, I don't know what permanent means versus
- 20:09Speaker 7: removing the interim I mean, I know what interim means. Yeah,
- 20:13Speaker 7: interim means temporary, and then when you remove the interim tag,
- 20:17Speaker 7: you're no longer temporary.
- 20:19Speaker 8: That's just how I view it.
- 20:20Speaker 7: I mean, could be wrong there, but he also went
- 20:24Speaker 7: on to say, when you're trying to hire a coach,
- 20:27Speaker 7: instability is not healthy. I kind of feel like Wade
- 20:32Speaker 7: rus is the one that has created this instability, kind
- 20:34Speaker 7: of going back and forth. So it doesn't sound like
- 20:37Speaker 7: Virgil Olsbury is the permanent athletic trim because if he
- 20:40Speaker 7: was going to be, he wouldn't have backtrack this comments.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Let me let's let's start with how the news broke
- 20:49Speaker 2: and what manner did it break that the interim tag
- 20:52Speaker 2: was going to be removed in the first place. Because
- 20:54Speaker 2: they never made an actual announcement, correct, We just the
- 20:59Speaker 2: reports came out based on was it like a booster
- 21:01Speaker 2: meeting or something like that. People had a.
- 21:04Speaker 7: Ceremony for him, and just at the ceremony he was like, oh,
- 21:08Speaker 7: I'm removing the interim tag.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Okay, but that was the only thing that we knew, right,
- 21:13Speaker 2: and I guess it never confirmed nor denied. I guess
- 21:17Speaker 2: it was. I mean, it's a weird way to deny it. Yesterday.
- 21:22Speaker 2: What he said doesn't really make sense, right. I don't
- 21:25Speaker 2: know what the difference is between removing the tag and
- 21:28Speaker 2: a permanent U.
- 21:33Speaker 7: He's a doctor, he smarter than me, But I mean
- 21:37Speaker 7: I know what interim means and what it doesn't.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Sounds like you just kind of messed up an.
- 21:40Speaker 6: Interview, yeah, or maybe spoke too soon.
- 21:44Speaker 2: But who did he speak to?
- 21:46Speaker 6: Getting again?
- 21:47Speaker 3: I think it was like Taylor said that it was
- 21:48Speaker 3: at the ceremony. He just kind of said.
- 21:50Speaker 7: It got all fired up and was liked, we could
- 21:52Speaker 7: remove the HUD, remove the internet.
- 21:55Speaker 6: To be fair, like removing the interim tag. I guess it.
- 22:00Speaker 3: If we're like getting real semantic about it, doesn't really
- 22:03Speaker 3: mean that he is the I mean, maybe acting versus
- 22:07Speaker 3: like the actual going to be the new hire A
- 22:11Speaker 3: d whatever.
- 22:11Speaker 2: But so do we think that people reported it may
- 22:14Speaker 2: have overreacted to that to comment?
- 22:18Speaker 4: Maybe, yeah, I believe it was Delhi that first had
- 22:21Speaker 4: it come on Delhi Ve Deli. It's the first person
- 22:24Speaker 4: that I saw and talked about the President making the
- 22:27Speaker 4: decision to elevate Verge Osberry's permanent full time athletic director.
- 22:31Speaker 4: And they said a formal announcement is expected in the
- 22:33Speaker 4: coming days. That was the original report. Now maybe that
- 22:39Speaker 4: was originally the intent. Wasn't there some rumors swirling around yesterday.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Do you think they tried to are trying to backtrack
- 22:49Speaker 4: on Verge?
- 22:50Speaker 3: Well, Piper also asked him about the title nine stuff
- 22:55Speaker 3: with Verge, and Wade Ruth said that he wasn't familiar
- 22:59Speaker 3: with Verges Title nine stuff that happened back in twenty twenty,
- 23:06Speaker 3: So maybe he was told that and then started kind
- 23:09Speaker 3: of like.
- 23:13Speaker 7: This whole thing is that's that might be the most
- 23:16Speaker 7: concerning part to me, you know, any of this.
- 23:23Speaker 2: But he hasn't been on the job for very long, right,
- 23:25Speaker 2: I mean, if.
- 23:25Speaker 8: You're twenty four you right, I mean, like it was
- 23:29Speaker 8: it was a big news.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Shouldn't be this hard. No, I was there. I don't
- 23:32Speaker 2: really know about him. It should not be this hard
- 23:35Speaker 2: in fairness to just hire.
- 23:37Speaker 4: A president, an athletic director, and a football coach, right,
- 23:43Speaker 4: I mean, I know typically you don't do it all
- 23:45Speaker 4: at the same time. But you've known you needed a
- 23:49Speaker 4: president for a very long time.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Yep.
- 23:51Speaker 4: The athletic director stuff, obviously, I don't think any of
- 23:54Speaker 4: us had that on the BINGO card. But you got
- 23:57Speaker 4: to hire a coach. I understand like that part of it.
- 23:59Speaker 4: But you've known you needed a president for a long time. Yeah,
- 24:05Speaker 4: you don't want to just maybe.
- 24:07Speaker 2: You just didn't have a bad conversation about Hey, here's
- 24:11Speaker 2: here's our candidates, here's everything we got on them, here's
- 24:14Speaker 2: the profile. You got it. And look, maybe they're smarter
- 24:18Speaker 2: than all of us and they know exactly what they're doing.
- 24:20Speaker 2: They're playing chess. We're all playing reporting on checkers. But
- 24:23Speaker 2: it seems like they just didn't have a plan. They
- 24:25Speaker 2: had to make a snap decision on fire and Scott
- 24:27Speaker 2: before they were ready to fire Scott because of the
- 24:29Speaker 2: governor's comments. I left him no choice, right, even if
- 24:34Speaker 2: Scott was going to get fired eventually, at least maybe
- 24:37Speaker 2: not do it. Then let there be some stability while
- 24:40Speaker 2: you figure out a plan. Maybe let's I don't know,
- 24:45Speaker 2: it seems wild, maybe it's not wild. Maybe we're all overreacting.
- 24:50Speaker 2: But the optics. Optics are just messy. And it's every every.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Time I have somebody me on off campus the last
- 25:02Speaker 4: however many days, first thing they say, I can ask him, Hey,
- 25:06Speaker 4: how you doing, what's going on? Thanks for coming on? Oh,
- 25:10Speaker 4: doing a whole lot better than you do, Louisiana.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 25:14Speaker 4: That embarrass every single embarrass every single one of them.
- 25:16Speaker 4: I'm talking about ten for ten. Yeah, so it's being
- 25:20Speaker 4: talked about.
- 25:20Speaker 2: What you say, what's your answer? Like, hopefully they get
- 25:25Speaker 2: it figured out.
- 25:26Speaker 4: Your team, we got a committee, but like we're being
- 25:30Speaker 4: talked about as a joke right now.
- 25:32Speaker 5: Well, I mean because of how this is all played out.
- 25:34Speaker 2: The governor's involvement.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Good to a point, like, yes, he appoints the board
- 25:42Speaker 3: of supervisors, but why are you so deep in this
- 25:45Speaker 3: that you're making headlines about it?
- 25:48Speaker 6: It just it doesn't make any sense to me.
- 25:50Speaker 3: I mean it does in a sense that he does
- 25:52Speaker 3: want to be in the headlines and he wants to
- 25:54Speaker 3: make noise, and he wants to be in the news
- 25:57Speaker 3: and be in national news and be talked about nationally.
- 26:00Speaker 9: But it just you appointed this board of supervisors that
- 26:04Speaker 9: hired this president, or that appointed this president that is
- 26:07Speaker 9: now walking back comments about an athletic director that he
- 26:11Speaker 9: didn't know was involved in Title Nights.
- 26:13Speaker 6: It's all very messy and it is kind of a joke.
- 26:16Speaker 7: The instability quote he was instability is not healthy. I'm like, brother,
- 26:22Speaker 7: They're not more unstable than this right now.
- 26:24Speaker 2: I know you've been on the job for like a
- 26:27Speaker 2: couple of days now, but maybe not. Maybe not go
- 26:30Speaker 2: find a microphone anytime soon. Maybe know what you're doing first.
- 26:34Speaker 2: I get it. Nobody knows what they're doing the first
- 26:36Speaker 2: couple of days in the job. I got it. It's fine,
- 26:39Speaker 2: you get a pass for that. Maybe you are uncertain
- 26:42Speaker 2: about everything. Maybe a rumor was falsely reported that the
- 26:46Speaker 2: interim tag was getting removed and Verge is going to
- 26:48Speaker 2: be the permanent again. Maybe that was falsely reported. Maybe not,
- 26:52Speaker 2: but like hmm, it's better to be thought a fool
- 26:55Speaker 2: than to speak up and remove all doubt, right type situation.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Maybe educate a little bit first. Yeah, as great as
- 27:06Speaker 2: this job is.
- 27:06Speaker 4: We talked about it yesterday, universal almost everybody talked to
- 27:10Speaker 4: your top three. Even an LSU hater would say top five.
- 27:15Speaker 4: What is all this done to that? Like if you're
- 27:19Speaker 4: on the outside looking in and you're wait, hold up
- 27:24Speaker 4: what yep? So I've got to go win at this
- 27:29Speaker 4: kind of level, and then I also have to deal
- 27:31Speaker 4: with some situations that don't happen everywhere. And I've got
- 27:37Speaker 4: the whole governor situation. I mean, there's gonna be some
- 27:41Speaker 4: people that are gonna run away from that.
- 27:45Speaker 2: And you know what's like to me, what the saddest
- 27:48Speaker 2: part about this whole thing is, and the most upsetting
- 27:51Speaker 2: part is, as you know, there's turmoil, there's confusion, it's
- 27:54Speaker 2: a mess, like the people making decisions don't really feel
- 27:57Speaker 2: like they know what they're doing. Maybe they do. I
- 27:59Speaker 2: hope they do. But the part to me is like
- 28:03Speaker 2: we're talking about that, but like the football portion of
- 28:07Speaker 2: this whole thing is probably healthier this week and it
- 28:10Speaker 2: has been in a long time. Like those that team
- 28:14Speaker 2: over there, that coaching staff that supports that are so
- 28:17Speaker 2: ready to go right, And Frank said it on the
- 28:20Speaker 2: show yesterday, I don't know what the result's going to
- 28:22Speaker 2: be on the scoreboard this weekend, but it's going to
- 28:25Speaker 2: be different, and like that is so much healthier than
- 28:28Speaker 2: what's happening above, Like people pulling the strings like that.
- 28:32Speaker 2: That's what I hope we kind of get past this
- 28:34Speaker 2: and they and everybody just shuts their mouth for a
- 28:36Speaker 2: little bit. Stop talking. Everybody stop talking. Yeah, let the
- 28:41Speaker 2: team go be the focal point right now. Let their
- 28:45Speaker 2: response to Brian Kelly being fired in a new regime change.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Let that speak for Louisiana. You stop speaking for Louisiana
- 28:52Speaker 2: right now. Just hump the brakes. Let the team go
- 28:55Speaker 2: do it, because that is healthy right now. That that
- 28:59Speaker 2: is good. That's something we need to be cheering instead
- 29:03Speaker 2: of being embarrassed about what people are talking about. That's
- 29:10Speaker 2: a good point. Sometimes you don't have to talk. Sometimes
- 29:14Speaker 2: you just do us exactly.
- 29:17Speaker 6: Put the mic down and put it down and.
- 29:20Speaker 4: The words of figure yes and figure it out before
- 29:24Speaker 4: you speak, have a plan before you speak, just say hey,
- 29:29Speaker 4: no comment at this time. We're working through our structure,
- 29:32Speaker 4: and we'll have a structure and at that time we'll
- 29:34Speaker 4: have an.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Announcement and the words of Kunu and.
- 29:38Speaker 4: Then behind the scenes, behind the scenes, if you're talking
- 29:42Speaker 4: to agents and coaches, you let them know what you're thinking,
- 29:44Speaker 4: love them, know what the deal is.
- 29:46Speaker 2: You don't have to do it in.
- 29:47Speaker 4: Front of everybody when you don't have an idea, what
- 29:50Speaker 4: your structure is going to be, what the plan is,
- 29:52Speaker 4: and where you want to live for the next.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Couple of years. So it's just like anything in life, right,
- 29:57Speaker 2: Nobody really knows what they're doing in life until you
- 29:59Speaker 2: figure it out. Yeah, Oh, we don't tell anybody that.
- 30:05Speaker 5: All right, We're gonna talk actual ball when we come back.
- 30:09Speaker 4: Oh, I'm kind of over government being involved and people
- 30:13Speaker 4: saying this, that and the other, and who's this role,
- 30:15Speaker 4: who's that role.
- 30:17Speaker 5: We'll talk about what we do know football.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Alabama LSU coming up this weekend, and we'll do it
- 30:22Speaker 4: right here on OTB off the bench, all right. Giggordon
- 30:27Speaker 4: dot Com, Gordon McKinnon injury attorneys right there on the website.

- 30:33Speaker 4: You can check out cases they can handle for you
- 30:34Speaker 4: in the courtroom, past client results all right there on
- 30:38Speaker 4: the homepage. I forget about what they're doing in the
- 30:40Speaker 4: community throughout Louisiana at GID Gordon is always going to
- 30:44Speaker 4: be the handle on all major social media. And then
- 30:46Speaker 4: if you want to pick up the phone in Louisiana,
- 30:48Speaker 4: you know it's.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Your area code.
- 30:50Speaker 4: Follow about eight eight eight eighty eight eighty eight, get
- 30:52Speaker 4: Gordon and get it done.
- 30:53Speaker 2: But not like in the like the small cities though,
- 30:56Speaker 2: right everywhere Stonewall, Louisiana. What about Haaren CP.
- 31:02Speaker 5: Yep Haran Crow, Louisiana as well.
- 31:03Speaker 2: So anywhere in Louisiana, all you gotta do is pick
- 31:06Speaker 2: eight A. So you've been injured, whether it's in a
- 31:09Speaker 2: car accident, whether it's on the job, and you want
- 31:11Speaker 2: somebody that gets back to Louisiana. Do you want them
- 31:14Speaker 2: to fight for you. They've been doing it for thousands
- 31:16Speaker 2: of people all over Louisiana called Gordon Gordon McCarney injury attorneys.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Not Gordon McCarney, it's Gordon mccarnaan.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Two thousand and seven Shamps Purple and Gold to the core.

- 32:49Speaker 4: Campus Federal dot org. That is Campus Federal dot Org.
- 32:54Speaker 4: All right, Matthew, Hey buddy, start to watch a little
- 32:56Speaker 4: bit of your tape there breakdown of the Alabama am
- 33:00Speaker 4: a Crimson Tide.
- 33:02Speaker 5: You have to say, quick report on what you see.
- 33:07Speaker 5: They're in Tuscaloosa.
- 33:10Speaker 2: I see a very good football team, you know if
- 33:14Speaker 2: I've I've texted the group a lot throughout the throughout
- 33:16Speaker 2: the season saying I don't like el like because I've
- 33:18Speaker 2: been watching film of you know, whether it's Vanderbilt or
- 33:21Speaker 2: whoever it is playing. I'm like, oh man, was good.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Now I've watched the last couple of games they played.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Of course they played, uh, they beat Tennessee. Then they
- 33:31Speaker 2: beat South Carolina in South Carolina. Uh, and it wasn't
- 33:35Speaker 2: kind of the runaway that we all kind of that
- 33:37Speaker 2: I thought it could be. So they really good team.
- 33:41Speaker 2: I don't think that anything that they do is necessarily great.
- 33:44Speaker 2: I think Ty Simpson's really good. I think he's gonna
- 33:46Speaker 2: be a Heisman finalist. He's just playing. He makes like
- 33:50Speaker 2: a couple of a handful of plays every every single
- 33:53Speaker 2: game that it's like, oh my god, that was a
- 33:55Speaker 2: great throw. Now they don't get guys open everywhere all
- 33:59Speaker 2: the time, so sometimes his stats aren't like so eye popping,
- 34:04Speaker 2: but he makes really he's really good in the pocket.
- 34:06Speaker 2: The good pocket presence, slides instead of scrambles a lot,
- 34:12Speaker 2: which is a really like a lot of times in
- 34:14Speaker 2: college people will go through their first couple of reads
- 34:16Speaker 2: and they try to get outside of the pocket before
- 34:18Speaker 2: he tries to move the pocket with a slide slidestep,
- 34:21Speaker 2: which creates some late development routes. And he's got those
- 34:23Speaker 2: good receivers on the outside. I think what we're really
- 34:25Speaker 2: going to see, the matchup that's going to make or
- 34:28Speaker 2: break this game is going to be on the outside
- 34:31Speaker 2: our corners versus their receivers. They have some really good ones.
- 34:36Speaker 2: And the way that LSU likes to play defense is
- 34:39Speaker 2: to be aggressive. We like to put Monsour on an
- 34:41Speaker 2: island by himself. I think we're gonna see some fireworks
- 34:45Speaker 2: of some matchups this weekend when some lose some I
- 34:49Speaker 2: don't know what's gonna happen, but their number one, their
- 34:52Speaker 2: number two versus Montour when they get lined up, because
- 34:55Speaker 2: you know, Blake Baker's gonna they're gonna man some people up.
- 34:58Speaker 2: This is one of those weeks you got rid of
- 34:59Speaker 2: a there's a there's an interim tag. This group's got
- 35:03Speaker 2: like nothing to lose right now, which makes you very dangerous.
- 35:07Speaker 2: But guess what you're gonna do. You're gonna take some
- 35:09Speaker 2: risks that you might not have if you have no
- 35:11Speaker 2: losses or one loss right now. So you're gonna see
- 35:13Speaker 2: some man deman matchups. And I'm really really excited. Like
- 35:16Speaker 2: when I watch and I'm and I'm and I'm watching
- 35:19Speaker 2: the game on Saturday and I see a loaded box
- 35:22Speaker 2: for LSU on defense, I'm gonna be watching the outside
- 35:25Speaker 2: because it's gonna be some fun matchups. Because you've got
- 35:27Speaker 2: you got you got future pros on both sides that
- 35:30Speaker 2: I think you're gonna see some Mandaman matchups and it's
- 35:32Speaker 2: gonna be fun to watch. But I look at their defense,
- 35:35Speaker 2: and their defense does everything really well. They don't do
- 35:39Speaker 2: any one particular thing great, and that's what I've kind
- 35:42Speaker 2: of seen all over, like offense and defense side of
- 35:45Speaker 2: the ball. They have some great receivers on offense, their
- 35:47Speaker 2: quarterback's great. But on defense, they just do everything very sound.
- 35:51Speaker 2: They're very well coached. They have some big defensive line.
- 35:54Speaker 2: They got number twenty three. I don't even know his name,
- 35:56Speaker 2: but I know I know Jamis Smith, so he is.
- 35:59Speaker 2: He's just he's a pillar in the inside. They got
- 36:02Speaker 2: some big boys that just can't be moved and they
- 36:04Speaker 2: do their job really well. They take up gap, they
- 36:06Speaker 2: have really good gap integrity, and they just make it
- 36:08Speaker 2: hard to get to the second level for running backs
- 36:10Speaker 2: right now. They wear out. There's some teams like Tennessee
- 36:13Speaker 2: started having a lot of like they couldn't run the
- 36:15Speaker 2: ball early, started having success running the ball in the
- 36:17Speaker 2: second half. You have to be committed to it. On
- 36:20Speaker 2: the secondary, they're all pretty they're good cover guys. They
- 36:24Speaker 2: got one one guy, number seven, who's a liability. So
- 36:27Speaker 2: if you see him on the field, Shawn Jones, Good
- 36:32Speaker 2: for you, dude, what you just know all these names?
- 36:35Speaker 2: The stone, random defensive. He's not even a starter. He
- 36:38Speaker 2: just comes in every now and then. But he's a liability.
- 36:40Speaker 2: So if you see number seven on the field, Jack
- 36:42Speaker 2: seven seven seven. Now, he's fast, he's got a good
- 36:46Speaker 2: straight line speed, but his speed get stuck in the
- 36:47Speaker 2: mud when you're breaking, so like any outbreak. And he
- 36:49Speaker 2: had a touchdown thrown on him against Tennessee where it
- 36:53Speaker 2: looked like Looney Tunes where he gets started and his
- 36:57Speaker 2: feet moved, but he's not going anywhere but exactly. But
- 37:01Speaker 2: he is fast straight line. Yeah, they just do everything well,
- 37:04Speaker 2: so they're gonna throw a lot of different coverages at you.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Against South Carolina, they played a lot more single hide
- 37:10Speaker 2: than they did against Tennessee because of Leonora Sellers just
- 37:12Speaker 2: put an extra guy in the box. But quarter quarter
- 37:16Speaker 2: halves a lot of straight cover two. I didn't see
- 37:19Speaker 2: a lot of just straight quarters, which I would love
- 37:21Speaker 2: to see as a quarterback, but a lot of quarter
- 37:23Speaker 2: quarter have against South Carolina, a lot of cover three.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Not a ton of man, but they will. They're kind
- 37:31Speaker 2: of like everybody that has a sound defense. They'll bring
- 37:33Speaker 2: Cover zero blitz, but it's probably less than seven or
- 37:37Speaker 2: eight percent of the time. That's just a guess, though.
- 37:41Speaker 2: You got the breakdown right now.
- 37:43Speaker 4: Alabama plays cover zero nine point seven percent of the time.
- 37:46Speaker 4: There we go Cover one eleven point three percent of
- 37:50Speaker 4: the time, Cover two twenty four point eight percent of
- 37:53Speaker 4: the time, Cover three thirty nine point one percent, Quarters
- 37:56Speaker 4: only three point four percent. And then let's see quarter
- 38:00Speaker 4: quarter halves. It is eight of the time.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Yeah. Sometimes their quarter quarter halves is tough to decipher,
- 38:07Speaker 2: like it.
- 38:08Speaker 5: Looks like Cover three lumped into the three.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it is. But they do they play.
- 38:13Speaker 2: They play decent amount quarter quarter halves. They play quarter
- 38:15Speaker 2: quarter halves and whoever, if you haven't, if you're new
- 38:19Speaker 2: to the show, whatever quarter quarter haves is playing your
- 38:21Speaker 2: one side of the field, usually the strong side, the
- 38:23Speaker 2: strength of the formation, which is usually to the field,
- 38:27Speaker 2: is going to be quarters, where your corner's playing deep,
- 38:30Speaker 2: your safety is playing deep, and they each have one
- 38:32Speaker 2: quarter of the field deep. Then they'll play halves to
- 38:36Speaker 2: the backside of the weak side, usually to the boundary,
- 38:38Speaker 2: which is a corners playing like a cloud coverage where
- 38:42Speaker 2: she doesn't get deep and the safety plays over the
- 38:44Speaker 2: top heat the safety has the whole deep part of
- 38:47Speaker 2: the field there, so quarter quarter halves at least call
- 38:51Speaker 2: it cover six.
- 38:52Speaker 4: Ye.
- 38:53Speaker 2: Our cover eight is where it's cloud corner to the
- 38:58Speaker 2: field and quarters to the boundary. So just backwards reversed.
- 39:03Speaker 4: People do the either addition or multiplication sometimes quarter quarter
- 39:09Speaker 4: a half.
- 39:09Speaker 2: I don't know why, ye, I don't know AnyWho. That's
- 39:13Speaker 2: what they got.
- 39:14Speaker 4: What about the aggressive nature of the Alabama defense? Did
- 39:18Speaker 4: you see anything where they're going to give you something
- 39:21Speaker 4: a little bit different look? I know, capwell Ma's done
- 39:23Speaker 4: that in the past, but I.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Had not a ton much. I hadn't seen a lot
- 39:26Speaker 2: of creative looks. They'll do some double A gap mugs
- 39:30Speaker 2: where two linebackers in the A gaps. You got two
- 39:32Speaker 2: wide three techniques on the defensive line front, which does
- 39:35Speaker 2: create some protection issues, but not a lot of creative
- 39:38Speaker 2: blitz us off of that. It's either they both come
- 39:41Speaker 2: or they both drop. But no, not a ton of
- 39:45Speaker 2: creative stuff that I saw, Just good sound defense.
- 39:48Speaker 4: Yeah, five man pressure forty seven point eight percent of
- 39:50Speaker 4: the time, only bring six eight point nine percent of
- 39:54Speaker 4: the time. So even if they bring somebody, it's just
- 39:57Speaker 4: bringing five yep.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Yeah, like I I'm trying to like I've been well,
- 40:02Speaker 2: I've watched these games a couple of times now, just
- 40:04Speaker 2: trying to figure out like, oh, it would be a
- 40:05Speaker 2: good clip to show on the like to show on
- 40:07Speaker 2: the show. And there's really nothing that sticks out because
- 40:12Speaker 2: they don't do anything that's real like like I said,
- 40:14Speaker 2: that's real special, just real sound defense. You have to
- 40:16Speaker 2: be really disciplined because they're not gonna you're not gonna
- 40:19Speaker 2: see guys just wide open. But you're gonna have opportunities
- 40:23Speaker 2: throughout the game to go through your progressions, to go
- 40:25Speaker 2: through your reads. Be creative. South Carolina hit some nice
- 40:28Speaker 2: screen routes on them, like big explosive like forty fifty
- 40:31Speaker 2: yard gains on some screen routes. A couple of checkdowns.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Oh don't let LSU see that. No, they weren't wide
- 40:37Speaker 2: receiver screens. Tennessee tried to do that about ten times
- 40:39Speaker 2: in the game. We're probably a total of I don't know,
- 40:42Speaker 2: eleven yards. Yeah maybe, but they got that completion percentage up.
- 40:48Speaker 2: Oh no, one yard screens please. Tennessee's offense is very
- 40:54Speaker 2: similar to Issu's offense. And that's not like a praise. No,
- 40:59Speaker 2: they live outside the hashes. They live outside the hashes
- 41:02Speaker 2: a lot. They do more inside the ashes. Doesn't take
- 41:04Speaker 2: much to do that.
- 41:06Speaker 5: Yeah, you got two if you have two plays.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm lucky. Yeah. The mc gump in the
- 41:11Speaker 2: chat says, Ben don't break defense. Yeah kinda, but like, yeah,
- 41:17Speaker 2: I guess it is a Ben don't break defense. I
- 41:19Speaker 2: usually look at that as teams that play like big
- 41:21Speaker 2: shell over the top, let you get a lot of
- 41:23Speaker 2: like they'll still press on the outside and make you
- 41:26Speaker 2: try to hit them, hit them deep. Usually to me
- 41:29Speaker 2: when I think of Ben don't But it's like the
- 41:30Speaker 2: old Chicago Bears when we went ten years ago with
- 41:32Speaker 2: Brian Urlaka, they played cover two like ninety of the snaps. Yeah,
- 41:36Speaker 2: and they played shell, so they never let you throw deep.
- 41:38Speaker 2: You always had to keep taking checkdowns. Now people are
- 41:41Speaker 2: trying to trying to hit them deep because they but
- 41:45Speaker 2: you know, Tennessee and South College just didn't have a
- 41:47Speaker 2: lot of sense. Suff was taking a checkdown. It's hard
- 41:50Speaker 2: to go broke when you're making a profit. Yeah, I guess, no,
- 41:57Speaker 2: it's checkdowns. What it is.
- 42:01Speaker 4: To your point of Ben don't break six of Alabama's
- 42:05Speaker 4: defenders PFF grades are between seventy three and seventy six.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Yeah, like solid, super solid. Yeah there, there wasn't like
- 42:16Speaker 2: besides number seven, I didn't see like a real weakness.
- 42:18Speaker 2: They have a really good, a nice rotation to A
- 42:21Speaker 2: sixty seven. Because they're on offense. It's like ezy easy alright.
- 42:29Speaker 4: Alright, alright, flavor flave. We'll be back for flavor flave
