- 0:14Speaker 2: The fourth of July has been a time for many
- 0:18Speaker 2: different things in our nation, but one of those things
- 0:22Speaker 2: is for fireworks designers and pyrotechnician artists to showcase their stuff.
- 0:28Speaker 3: We sat down with four of the countries premiere firework
- 0:33Speaker 3: designers to see what goes into making a show, what
- 0:36Speaker 3: constitutes a good fireworks show, and why it's so hard
- 0:39Speaker 3: to take pictures of them.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Now, let's light up and listen in.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Whoa it is?
- 0:50Speaker 5: That's to hang out with you guys today.
- 0:52Speaker 1: It is lit up.
- 0:54Speaker 4: I can't believe that.
- 0:56Speaker 6: I absolutely cannot believe it. The times are oh oh no,
- 1:00Speaker 6: get me, I.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Got you, get me.
- 1:01Speaker 5: I'm shooting my love all over the place, shooting.
- 1:08Speaker 1: The place good. I feel good.
- 1:17Speaker 6: I can't believe it. I just to I just flew
- 1:19Speaker 6: off a plane.
- 1:21Speaker 1: You flew off?
- 1:23Speaker 6: Yes, horrible accident, unbelievable.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Whoa, No survivors, just me because I was looking for
- 1:30Speaker 2: my drink in the prime in the time, and I
- 1:33Speaker 2: did know my seatbelt on. Everyone else did, and it
- 1:37Speaker 2: was the seat belts they were the problem. So I
- 1:41Speaker 2: just flew off a plane from Ontario and I'm so
- 1:44Speaker 2: excited to be here.
- 1:47Speaker 6: Oh right, is rain anyway?
- 1:52Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:53Speaker 2: Absolutely, Well, I'm so excited to be here to talk
- 1:55Speaker 2: about my favorite thing in the world, fireworks.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Talk about it?
- 2:03Speaker 5: Oh, yeah about it. Have you guys heard that internet
- 2:07Speaker 5: parody of Mama Number five? But it's Mama number fireworks.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I haven't.
- 2:13Speaker 6: Play it.
- 2:14Speaker 7: A little bit of in my life, a little bit
- 2:17Speaker 7: of boo on that long, a little.
- 2:19Speaker 4: Bit of whoo I am, A little bit.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Of is where I was fight? You have heard it?
- 2:28Speaker 7: You know?
- 2:28Speaker 2: I think I remember it from the Fireworks Technician epic
- 2:31Speaker 2: meme page on Instagram that.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I hate that you can only see firework tech in
- 2:37Speaker 1: the title when you type it in what the full
- 2:39Speaker 1: name is? Fireworks Technician epic mean page? How's it? Are
- 2:42Speaker 1: you guys still in there? I got banned from it
- 2:44Speaker 1: because you were posting all that weird stuff.
- 2:47Speaker 7: Yeah, hell from posted I posted whole I said, here's
- 2:52Speaker 7: some fireworks for you.
- 2:54Speaker 6: Yeah, that'll get your band.
- 2:56Speaker 7: My asshole on, it'll get your.
- 3:01Speaker 5: People would think that it was a firework.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Oh it was, clearly.
- 3:05Speaker 6: I don't know how it would look like that.
- 3:07Speaker 4: But let me say, speaking of YouTube links with fireworks
- 3:11Speaker 4: in the in the in the bio or in the name,
- 3:14Speaker 4: I will anticipate a lot of people watching this video
- 3:18Speaker 4: for fireworks out toos. I put up a fireworks out
- 3:21Speaker 4: too for New Year's Eve. I said, if you want
- 3:23Speaker 4: to do fireworks with your family in your backyard, here's
- 3:26Speaker 4: how you can do it. Save fireworks in the backyard.
- 3:29Speaker 4: That is at twenty five million views.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Wowow video.
- 3:33Speaker 4: Because that's the best part about fireworks that I love
- 3:35Speaker 4: talking about. We could talk high level with the best technicians,
- 3:39Speaker 4: best artists in the world, and then we could talk
- 3:41Speaker 4: to Uncle Joe, who does fireworks in the backyard, who
- 3:44Speaker 4: does sparkles in the backyard.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Everyone's a pro, that's what we say. Single one of
- 3:50Speaker 1: us is a pro.
- 3:51Speaker 7: You can light it and get it in the sky.
- 3:52Speaker 7: You're literally a pro at fireworks.
- 3:54Speaker 4: All you gotta do is buy them.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Let's go around and introduce ourselves. How about that? Yeah
- 3:59Speaker 1: sounds good? You got it?
- 4:01Speaker 5: You want me to start?
- 4:01Speaker 1: Oh? Of course?
- 4:02Speaker 5: What's up, guys.
- 4:03Speaker 7: My name is Francisco Tampa. I'm a fireworks technician. Yeah,
- 4:09Speaker 7: I get pretty busy around this time of year. You
- 4:11Speaker 7: might say that I do a lot of different kinds
- 4:14Speaker 7: of fireworks and they call me the loudest guy in
- 4:16Speaker 7: the room. I fucking love fireworks. I used to be
- 4:21Speaker 7: part of an eighties hair band. That's why I was
- 4:23Speaker 7: singing a little bit earlier. I'm really, really, really into that.
- 4:27Speaker 7: I was a part of a band called hard.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Dick that couldn't have gone well. H innuendo.
- 4:34Speaker 7: People were doing Motley group, people were doing a lot
- 4:37Speaker 7: of slippery and what kind of stuff. We said, let's
- 4:39Speaker 7: cut out the inn window, let's just really do it,
- 4:41Speaker 7: and it was too much for them. But what I
- 4:43Speaker 7: found out is I was on these stages. I was
- 4:47Speaker 7: at the Irvine Amphitheater, right, I was at Jiffy Loube
- 4:50Speaker 7: Live in Bristow, Virginia. I always have these incredible venues,
- 4:54Speaker 7: and I realized I cared so much more about the
- 4:57Speaker 7: Pyrone tectics that we were doing then I care about
- 5:01Speaker 7: playing bass on any of our songs. So I said,
- 5:03Speaker 7: fuck this noise, let's get in the skies. So I transitioned.
- 5:08Speaker 7: I've been doing a lot of stuffer rock stars, and
- 5:09Speaker 7: now I'm mostly doing the easy stuff.
- 5:12Speaker 5: That's right.
- 5:12Speaker 7: Firework shows after baseball games in the summer. That's mostly
- 5:16Speaker 7: what I do. Oh, that's mostly what I'm up to.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Iconic, legendary, amazing, and every now and then I.
- 5:21Speaker 7: Do live in Miami, so I jump out on some
- 5:23Speaker 7: boats and I do some boat fireworks shows around this
- 5:25Speaker 7: time of year.
- 5:26Speaker 4: That's incredible. Well, you, I will say, I read something
- 5:28Speaker 4: about I don't know which stadiums you do? Did I
- 5:31Speaker 4: miss that a little bit.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Of I do a lot of them. I do the.
- 5:36Speaker 7: Dolphins, I do the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, I do
- 5:42Speaker 7: the Texas Rangers, I do the Atlanta the Falcons.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I do all sorts of sports too Okay.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Well, too bad. You listened to the one that I
- 5:49Speaker 4: was going to talk about. You didn't listen to one.
- 5:51Speaker 4: The Dodgers, I heard sell more tickets just for the
- 5:54Speaker 4: fireworks shows alone, more than any of the show's other years.
- 5:58Speaker 7: I do Dodgers sometimes, Yeah, I do do he zoomed in.
- 6:02Speaker 7: It's harder. Yeah, it's I'm telling you. I'm like guys,
- 6:05Speaker 7: I gotta either I gotta smell the gunpowder. I gotta
- 6:07Speaker 7: look at the canister before it goes out there. But man,
- 6:11Speaker 7: oh man, we still get it going.
- 6:12Speaker 1: So do they have somebody carrying you around on a
- 6:15Speaker 1: computer or do they just throw you up on the
- 6:16Speaker 1: big screen and it's just one giant zoom screen.
- 6:19Speaker 7: But they turned the diamond vision into a zoom screen.
- 6:23Speaker 7: I don't know if you know this, but that diamond
- 6:24Speaker 7: vision is shaped like a woman's vagina.
- 6:27Speaker 6: It is.
- 6:28Speaker 5: Did you guys know that it is? There's a specific
- 6:30Speaker 5: woman that I knew back in the day when Vagina. Yeah,
- 6:34Speaker 5: I called her a lady Lavender. She was my main bitch.
- 6:39Speaker 7: She inspired me to do a lot of stuff. But
- 6:42Speaker 7: you know, I don't know where she is now, and
- 6:43Speaker 7: I know where I am in Miami.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Wow, making dreams come fucking true, dreams come true and
- 6:50Speaker 1: dreams come true. Who are you you? Who are you that?
- 7:00Speaker 2: Because I flew off a plane in Ontario you want to.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Talk to me? I'm so interested?
- 7:08Speaker 6: What about me? It makes you want to know who
- 7:10Speaker 6: I am?
- 7:10Speaker 1: First? Your hand?
- 7:11Speaker 5: Okay, lady, we are first?
- 7:13Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 7:13Speaker 6: Absolutely?
- 7:14Speaker 1: Is it broken?
- 7:15Speaker 2: No?
- 7:15Speaker 1: Okay, he's looking for her drink.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Well, yes, I have Phantom Martini arms, so it's always
- 7:24Speaker 2: I'm always in ready position to hold.
- 7:26Speaker 6: My name is Marianna Boats.
- 7:29Speaker 2: My husband is the owner of Carnival cruises and I
- 7:34Speaker 2: fell into fireworks because I wouldn't stop pestering my husband.
- 7:39Speaker 2: I said, Honey, what are we doing today? What are
- 7:41Speaker 2: we doing today? What are we doing later? What are
- 7:43Speaker 2: we doing now?
- 7:44Speaker 6: What are you doing? What are you reading? What's on
- 7:46Speaker 6: your phone?
- 7:47Speaker 2: And he said, you know what, God damn it, Marianna,
- 7:50Speaker 2: you need a damn hobby.
- 7:52Speaker 6: And I said, whatever am I gonna do?
- 7:54Speaker 2: And then that's when the fireworks up here and above
- 7:58Speaker 2: the boat.
- 7:59Speaker 6: I said that and he said what?
- 8:02Speaker 2: And I said that I want to do that, And
- 8:05Speaker 2: so ever since I have been a fireworks designer.
- 8:09Speaker 6: I have a team of six lovely.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Teenagers and they execute my fireworks dreams into reality.
- 8:17Speaker 6: And I my calling card. I don't know if you
- 8:20Speaker 6: have a calling card. My calling card is the wiggly ones.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Oh yeah, fireworks ones, the ones that go shit?
- 8:31Speaker 8: Do?
- 8:32Speaker 4: I love the wiggly one. It's incredible. That is absolutely
- 8:37Speaker 4: I think I believe you might be one of the
- 8:39Speaker 4: pioneers of female firework artists.
- 8:42Speaker 6: It's true, there aren't a lot of us out there.
- 8:44Speaker 4: It's fortunate it's a male dominated engdlistry.
- 8:46Speaker 2: It's really just for boys from Orange County. They don't
- 8:50Speaker 2: really let a lot of other people in.
- 8:54Speaker 6: Okay, Yeah, I can tell. I could tell.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I definitely could tell. Sorry, can you make the sound
- 9:03Speaker 1: of the wiggly one again? Gotta gotta just say really quick.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I feel like that's the sound of almost any.
- 9:17Speaker 6: Can tell the difference in the air. It's wiggling in
- 9:20Speaker 6: the air. Well, it's lovely to be here.
- 9:23Speaker 2: I'm so excited to be here, and I'm excited to
- 9:25Speaker 2: make magic.
- 9:26Speaker 1: This all of money. I'm happy you're alive.
- 9:29Speaker 4: I cannot believe you mad what oh oh?
- 9:34Speaker 2: Because I flew off the plane. I was like, what
- 9:37Speaker 2: do I have a bug in my hair that I
- 9:39Speaker 2: don't know about?
- 9:41Speaker 6: Something?
- 9:42Speaker 4: If you're wreck loose on my arm, if you had
- 9:46Speaker 4: your hair, I wouldn't believe you to be alive. I
- 9:48Speaker 4: would only believe you to be damn.
- 9:51Speaker 1: I also would believe you have bugs in your hair.
- 9:53Speaker 1: We flew off a babe, probably flew into trees.
- 9:57Speaker 6: Well that's a good point. I better check my hair
- 9:59Speaker 6: for two.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Well you're doing that. I'll explain who I am. Hello everyone,
- 10:05Speaker 4: my name is Dre Saunders. Dre Saunders here. I am
- 10:09Speaker 4: a fireworks artist, firework technician. Grew up in the South
- 10:14Speaker 4: All different parts. Come from a military family. And what
- 10:17Speaker 4: I am most known for, what put me on the map,
- 10:20Speaker 4: what put me on the skyline map, is I did
- 10:24Speaker 4: fireworks for a little megachurch called The Rock, and I
- 10:28Speaker 4: did fireworks they do, they do fireworks after big services,
- 10:32Speaker 4: and I did fireworks explaining the gospel. And now they
- 10:37Speaker 4: have me do it all the time. They have, They
- 10:40Speaker 4: had me going around big churches and I just we
- 10:43Speaker 4: just do it. We do it for Christmas, Christmas, big year.
- 10:45Speaker 4: We do Eastern fireworks. I really did try for Eastern
- 10:49Speaker 4: fireworks to do fireworks during the day. I tried it morning. Yeah,
- 10:53Speaker 4: And I will say I've tried it all. I've tried
- 10:56Speaker 4: doing story fireworks right. I'm a big fan of the
- 11:01Speaker 4: people at Disney that do the fireworks am I always
- 11:04Speaker 4: have wanted to show beginning, middle, and at right, and
- 11:09Speaker 4: to just not only use the colors, but to use
- 11:11Speaker 4: the soundscape. I love sound, and I love using sound
- 11:15Speaker 4: with fire.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I think you're bearing the lead just a little bit here,
- 11:17Speaker 1: if I may. You are the pioneer of capturing the
- 11:20Speaker 1: firework that embodies Jesus on the Cross dying.
- 11:24Speaker 4: And it took me months to figure it out. Months
- 11:26Speaker 4: months months, because there are fires. There are fireworks that
- 11:30Speaker 4: I think everyone at this table knows that that that
- 11:32Speaker 4: that kind of have an X. And I went, wait,
- 11:35Speaker 4: turn that around. That looks like a cross.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Oh genius, Yeah, brilliant and the smiley face brilliant. Shit. Yeah,
- 11:45Speaker 1: you added the smiley face to the cross, so it
- 11:47Speaker 1: made a kind of look smiley face on cross so
- 11:50Speaker 1: people could get Jesus.
- 11:52Speaker 5: I realized, bless you keep going.
- 11:57Speaker 6: Well, thank you. Not often I mean to right, proper
- 12:00Speaker 6: gentleman from Irvine, especially in.
- 12:02Speaker 4: The fireworks space. I'll say this right now. Maybe it's
- 12:05Speaker 4: because I work in the church space. I believe a
- 12:07Speaker 4: lot of firework technicians to be rowdy, to be irresponsible,
- 12:12Speaker 4: and sometimes to be a little I would say, off putting.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Get the yes charged, yeah see what. And I will
- 12:23Speaker 2: also say I saw this about.
- 12:25Speaker 6: You, and and I know, I know, I know, I
- 12:27Speaker 6: know you probably don't want to brag too much. Oh
- 12:30Speaker 6: where'd my voice go there? It is?
- 12:32Speaker 2: Okay, So I saw your article in Fireworks magazine and
- 12:37Speaker 2: you were the first person to ever do the whole
- 12:41Speaker 2: Bible in the sky.
- 12:42Speaker 4: That took me months too, months, month, months, And that's
- 12:46Speaker 4: a fast timeline.
- 12:47Speaker 1: My friend.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Yeah, that one was a little different than turning an
- 12:50Speaker 4: X around that one. I took John three sixteen forever,
- 12:55Speaker 4: Oh loved him. Yeah, and I and I found a
- 12:58Speaker 4: way with sound, color and light to emulate the letters
- 13:03Speaker 4: and do that. And I won't explain that trick because
- 13:08Speaker 4: I do believe I have a corner of the firework market,
- 13:11Speaker 4: which is spelling shit out loud, yeah, out in the sky.
- 13:14Speaker 1: I can't spell Worth Dick.
- 13:16Speaker 4: And that's because I come from a background. I used
- 13:18Speaker 4: to work on the blimp. I'm a man in the sky.
- 13:21Speaker 4: My canvas is the sky.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Goodyear, Good Year.
- 13:24Speaker 4: My daddy ran good Year, did a Good Year blimp,
- 13:27Speaker 4: and I grew up behind that Goodyear blimp. I was
- 13:29Speaker 4: born on a Goodyear blimp. I'll tell you I got
- 13:32Speaker 4: a whole story. It's just incredible. Matthew McConaughey bought the
- 13:36Speaker 4: rights to my life.
- 13:39Speaker 2: WHOA say that turn away?
- 13:44Speaker 1: I technically part of your life. Was interested in what the.
- 13:48Speaker 4: Whole story was. I'm a man in the sky.
- 13:51Speaker 7: I met that guy, Matthewey. They had a bit of
- 13:54Speaker 7: Chili's in Austin. I said, do the line?
- 13:57Speaker 1: What line? Did he do?
- 13:59Speaker 4: All?
- 13:59Speaker 1: Right? All right, all right, Oh nice, he wouldn't do
- 14:01Speaker 1: it though. He's a total pussy.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Oh my god. But anyway, grateful to be here. I
- 14:07Speaker 4: love fire.
- 14:09Speaker 5: Great, great to meet you, is it okay? If we
- 14:11Speaker 5: cost a little bit, even though.
- 14:12Speaker 4: You're involved, appreciate it. I do not believe that God
- 14:17Speaker 4: is real. I believe fire.
- 14:20Speaker 1: You got to believe it.
- 14:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I work with these people. It's just where I
- 14:26Speaker 4: grew up, and it's just where the money is. Believe
- 14:27Speaker 4: it or not. People don't talk about how much money
- 14:29Speaker 4: is of the church.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Well it's your turn, like, this is my turn. What
- 14:33Speaker 1: I've been waiting for this whole time. Hey, guys, why
- 14:38Speaker 1: hold the mic like that? I just have been holding
- 14:40Speaker 1: the mic like this the whole time.
- 14:41Speaker 6: I've never seen someone hold a microphone that way.
- 14:44Speaker 1: You just started that. I guess I'm just a little
- 14:46Speaker 1: bit of a new age freak.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Oh, here we go.
- 14:51Speaker 1: I know you guys are on to fireworks, but I
- 14:54Speaker 1: hate to burst the bubble. Oh no, I know who
- 14:56Speaker 1: this is. I am a fireless worker. That's right. No,
- 15:01Speaker 1: I do firework drone shows. I do.
- 15:08Speaker 2: I have to say I don't feel hate for many
- 15:11Speaker 2: people in this world, but for you, I am disgusted.
- 15:15Speaker 6: I am built with hat.
- 15:17Speaker 1: That's why I waited so long.
- 15:19Speaker 4: I knew i'd the pot.
- 15:22Speaker 7: You know what, I call your kind to my steps
- 15:25Speaker 7: On bb gun practice, I say, let's get him steps
- 15:30Speaker 7: On like you my steps On inconclusive.
- 15:33Speaker 5: Does he like me?
- 15:34Speaker 1: I don't know. Does he hang out with me? Yeah?
- 15:36Speaker 1: Is the phone always out? Yeah?
- 15:39Speaker 5: Does my new wife talk to me about it?
- 15:41Speaker 1: No? So I don't know where it's going. So yeah.
- 15:44Speaker 1: My name is Celo Sebastian Green.
- 15:48Speaker 7: Out of the Sebastian recently, huh the Sebastian turns out the.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Seo of.
- 15:55Speaker 4: I imagine you're trying to get your business off the
- 15:57Speaker 4: ground and it's kind of hard.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I go buy Celo ass Okay.
- 16:04Speaker 6: You're You're in live in real time rebranding.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Your name absolutely, Selo sea Bass is the name. Fireless
- 16:13Speaker 1: Work is my game. I do drone show, meaning I
- 16:17Speaker 1: don't launch a single firework. I used to. I used
- 16:21Speaker 1: to be one of you good for nothing Firefox dul
- 16:26Speaker 1: I's found a better way to go about it. What
- 16:30Speaker 1: I set up drones I know? But how how how?
- 16:34Speaker 4: I honestly have never gave a seat at the table
- 16:38Speaker 4: to want to use, and I'm trying to have an
- 16:40Speaker 4: open broth.
- 16:40Speaker 1: So maybe y'all will learn something.
- 16:42Speaker 9: You dig about my life, about my backstory, about how
- 16:47Speaker 9: I got to where I was, and why my fleet
- 16:50Speaker 9: of two thousand drones will blow away any fireworks show
- 16:55Speaker 9: in history.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Oh okay, I'll tell you.
- 16:59Speaker 6: What I have aproshbrush on youh me? How dare you listen?
- 17:05Speaker 1: Man? You're a fad? What you're a fad? Excuse me?
- 17:13Speaker 1: You think I'm like that?
- 17:14Speaker 7: Love is love is love? Motherfucker sor more than that?
- 17:17Speaker 7: Fuck as fuck as fuck? That fire, if it's wet,
- 17:22Speaker 7: it can.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Get you think about bad You know what?
- 17:25Speaker 7: Hey?
- 17:25Speaker 4: You thinking fire? You could diere Well, that's right.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Guess whose fuse is running out of time? Fireworks? The
- 17:32Speaker 1: industry's changed.
- 17:34Speaker 7: You know who invented fireworks the Chinese a thousand years ago.
- 17:38Speaker 5: You know who invented drones, Bill Gates eight months ago.
- 17:41Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 17:43Speaker 6: Let me tell you something.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Your little robots in the sky taking good jobs from

- 18:14Speaker 4: You do a lot of things in this world scare dogs?
- 18:17Speaker 4: A lot of good things in this world dogs.
- 18:28Speaker 7: Would you say that to someone with an vacuum cleaner,
- 18:29Speaker 7: you fucking piece of ship?
- 18:32Speaker 4: Why don't you tell a cloud that he isn't good
- 18:35Speaker 4: because it scares dogs?
- 18:37Speaker 1: Why don't you tell a tall man?
- 18:39Speaker 4: Yeah? What about? What about a helmet? Why don't you
- 18:42Speaker 4: get on a bond.
- 18:43Speaker 6: Roller skates that they're bad?
- 18:46Speaker 4: A lot of good things in this world scare dogs,
- 18:48Speaker 4: and it's not the way we should govern this country.
- 18:50Speaker 5: How do you feel about something that kills birds?
- 18:53Speaker 1: If you think my things kill birds, imagine a bomb

- 19:09Speaker 5: a status.
- 19:10Speaker 1: I haven't killed one bird since the first job.
- 19:13Speaker 4: Part about my wife. The fat about my wife is
- 19:19Speaker 4: the times of the day where she's in a couple
- 19:22Speaker 4: of ales couple of beers and her makeup starts as much,
- 19:26Speaker 4: and I can see the marks of her beauty.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Okay, where is this?
- 19:36Speaker 4: She though? Is beautiful without paint? I can see the
- 19:40Speaker 4: beauty that she painted on. When I see drunk fireworks
- 19:44Speaker 4: and I don't see smoke, I don't know what the
- 19:46Speaker 4: fuck I'm looking at because I don't see the paint brush.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Smoke is our paint brush. I get to see the
- 19:54Speaker 4: artist's intent. I get to see fire a fucking element
- 20:00Speaker 4: in the sky being used to tell story, and I
- 20:05Speaker 4: don't see any of that. When I see drum fireworks,
- 20:07Speaker 4: I feel like I'm just some fucking shrooms.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Isn't that awesome? Isn't that cooler? Guess what you guys
- 20:13Speaker 1: can do. You can make a big cross and a
- 20:15Speaker 1: big smiley face and a big explosion. I can make

- 20:36Speaker 6: But no one can do that.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Don't make him do that. What can you make big
- 20:40Speaker 1: explosion go round? I can make big explosion go dove.

- 20:53Speaker 6: You have no honor of the spirit of what fireworks
- 20:57Speaker 6: are all about.
- 20:58Speaker 1: What is that spirit?
- 20:59Speaker 6: Fireworks are about looking up into the sky and going
- 21:02Speaker 6: oh wow. And I don't feel that when I look
- 21:06Speaker 6: at a bunch of drones.
- 21:07Speaker 1: You haven't seen my drones. I dare you to say
- 21:09Speaker 1: that again?
- 21:10Speaker 4: No, I believe because with a firework you go whoa, whoa,
- 21:14Speaker 4: And with a drone you go huh?

- 21:19Speaker 1: You know where the drones go? They're so far away
- 21:24Speaker 1: you can't hear them. I can hear them. I have
- 21:26Speaker 1: great fucking hearing when you hear it.
- 21:29Speaker 4: And why don't you address all of the people who
- 21:31Speaker 4: are directly under your drone firework, who lose cell service
- 21:34Speaker 4: until the beginning and the end of your shot, all.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Of those victims. What about those victims?

- 34:20Speaker 2: Where they do the little ice cream bar and then
- 34:23Speaker 2: the hotel person sings the little games, and he sings
- 34:27Speaker 2: musical chairs for all the children, acapella musical chairs.
- 34:32Speaker 6: You've never seen anything like it.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Sorry, your husband is singing a cappella musical chairs for children.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Yes, he's singing acappella musical chairs. And there's no reason
- 34:40Speaker 2: why musical chairs can't be a cappella.
- 34:42Speaker 1: He's a little haunting.
- 34:44Speaker 7: They have a man singing a song and a bunch
- 34:45Speaker 7: of children walking in the circle, and then when he
- 34:47Speaker 7: stops there for.
- 34:48Speaker 1: The song of musical stops.
- 34:56Speaker 7: He's constantly singing because because if there's any pauses in song,
- 35:00Speaker 7: they're gonna sit, So he's gotta constantly be sing Is
- 35:04Speaker 7: there a.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Special well he rotates between a couple. My favorite is
- 35:08Speaker 2: la cucaracha.
- 35:09Speaker 1: He does that.
- 35:09Speaker 6: He's doing a cappella La cucara.
- 35:11Speaker 5: Been on a ship because he does the.
- 35:12Speaker 7: Hey, hey baby, I want to know if you'll be
- 35:17Speaker 7: mad girl.
- 35:18Speaker 1: That's tough because right after that there's a pause and
- 35:20Speaker 1: then and then, Oh, it's like a bad fan. It's
- 35:27Speaker 1: like a bad fan at it.
- 35:29Speaker 4: Okay, Well, here's my question though, do you ever because
- 35:31Speaker 4: do you have the fireworks on ship with you?
- 35:34Speaker 6: Oh, on the carnival cruise.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Well, I try to bring my squigies to the carnival
- 35:39Speaker 2: cruise to show Randy, But he doesn't want to know.
- 35:42Speaker 2: He just sits in his screening room watching football television
- 35:46Speaker 2: all day long at the bottom of the ship, and
- 35:48Speaker 2: he says, oh, very nice, dear, Oh very nice. But
- 35:52Speaker 2: he doesn't care about my squeakies.
- 35:54Speaker 7: Can I give you some advice? I do this sometimes
- 35:56Speaker 7: when I go on some cruise ships. Is three in
- 35:57Speaker 7: the morning. I brought a couple of fireworks. I snuck
- 35:59Speaker 7: them in some coke cans or whatever. I go out
- 36:02Speaker 7: there sometimes coke cans. Sometimes I shoot fireworks down into
- 36:06Speaker 7: the water. See how many fish are down there to see.
- 36:11Speaker 1: It light.
- 36:12Speaker 4: That's so sad. You're right. If we stop the world
- 36:20Speaker 4: at things that made fish said, we'd stop the world.
- 36:24Speaker 1: We reckon this world for fishing. We can't feel bad
- 36:26Speaker 1: about it.
- 36:27Speaker 4: No, you're right. Once I do that, we stop moving.
- 36:29Speaker 4: But I'll say this.
- 36:31Speaker 1: The Middle Ages.
- 36:33Speaker 4: But Where you do your fireworks is a big part
- 36:36Speaker 4: of you Disney. Good guys, good guys, a hell of
- 36:40Speaker 4: an ego, hell of ego guys. But they have quite
- 36:44Speaker 4: quite the control room where they where they set ship off.
- 36:48Speaker 4: And I'm curious, like where we do it? Like where
- 36:51Speaker 4: so you don't do it on the ship, you do
- 36:52Speaker 4: it somewhere else.
- 36:53Speaker 6: I don't do it on the ship.
- 36:55Speaker 2: I do it in a sort of any park I
- 36:58Speaker 2: can get my hands on, really, And I just have
- 37:00Speaker 2: to hope that when I show up with the wonderful
- 37:03Speaker 2: kids I've hired.
- 37:05Speaker 6: That there is a celebration going on.
- 37:08Speaker 2: And you know, some days are good days and we
- 37:10Speaker 2: get like a little there's a birthday party, or perhaps
- 37:13Speaker 2: a Fourth of July, or perhaps a New Year's Eve
- 37:16Speaker 2: or what have you. But some days there's just no
- 37:18Speaker 2: one in the park at.
- 37:19Speaker 1: All, And I don't know if you're showing up for
- 37:23Speaker 1: perhaps there's a Fourth of July.
- 37:24Speaker 6: Well, you never know when on's gonna happen.
- 37:27Speaker 2: And I know when you're gonna walk in the park
- 37:29Speaker 2: and go, oh, look at all these barbecues.
- 37:30Speaker 6: There's a Fourth of July.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Right, Well, I've got a question for you. You must
- 37:34Speaker 1: be doing it in churches, right, or in gatherings.
- 37:37Speaker 4: Well, we'll do it for big church revivals, big church celebrations,
- 37:41Speaker 4: and mostly holidays. I stick to the same holidays six
- 37:43Speaker 4: to July fourth New Year's Eve. It was sometimes we
- 37:46Speaker 4: do Christmas and.
- 37:48Speaker 1: I ask you something. Yeah, I read an article that
- 37:51Speaker 1: was kind of admonishing you because you one time did
- 37:54Speaker 1: a fireworks show inside a Catholic church filled with pine
- 37:58Speaker 1: glass windows. That's bad, yes, I.
- 38:01Speaker 4: Know, but I regret it.
- 38:02Speaker 1: I do.
- 38:04Speaker 4: It was I was paid by man, paid by man
- 38:08Speaker 4: and a cloak to do it.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Gotta be careful about those. How many of us I
- 38:13Speaker 1: think this is really how many of us were paid
- 38:16Speaker 1: by man. And here's what I tell myself.
- 38:21Speaker 7: Indeed, here's what I tell my step son. Look, when
- 38:25Speaker 7: a man and a cloak comes to you, there's two
- 38:27Speaker 7: things that are gonna happen. One, he's going to offer
- 38:29Speaker 7: you more money you've ever heard in your life.
- 38:31Speaker 4: That's exactly what.
- 38:32Speaker 5: It's going to be the scariest thing you've ever experienced.
- 38:35Speaker 7: It's true, it's so what happened.
- 38:39Speaker 4: I went in there. I just thought it was a
- 38:40Speaker 4: normal gig, because I think with fireworks it's hard. We
- 38:43Speaker 4: don't have a union, we don't have managers, we don't
- 38:45Speaker 4: have people to just like be like, what is this gig?
- 38:48Speaker 4: Because technically I'm freelance. I do work for a big,
- 38:50Speaker 4: huge church who has so many parties and celebrations. But
- 38:54Speaker 4: I pick up gigs. I pick up work. And when
- 38:57Speaker 4: I did this one a man and a cloak them
- 39:00Speaker 4: up to me said the biggest number I've ever heard
- 39:01Speaker 4: in my life. It was one of those dealer no
- 39:04Speaker 4: deal numbers where a woman is holding so many zeros.
- 39:08Speaker 6: They go like, oh my god, was it in a
- 39:10Speaker 6: banker's case.
- 39:12Speaker 4: No, no, it was in his cloak. It was a
- 39:14Speaker 4: paste paper and a cloak. But this looks like number yeah,
- 39:18Speaker 4: types of the cloak. And I went, that looks like
- 39:20Speaker 4: as many zeros as those girls a hold where I
- 39:22Speaker 4: don't even know where to begin.
- 39:23Speaker 7: Yeah, I think the top price on there was a million.
- 39:27Speaker 7: It must have been just under a million, and that's big.
- 39:30Speaker 4: So I went and I did it, and I lit
- 39:35Speaker 4: this church on fire, and I did it to the
- 39:38Speaker 4: tune of of of On Maria because I thought that
- 39:41Speaker 4: might be on brand. Yeah, I thought it would be
- 39:44Speaker 4: as similar to playing like dream. Our dream is the
- 39:46Speaker 4: wish to make your heart makes and Disneyland, I said,
- 39:48Speaker 4: what's their song? I don't know, played that and did
- 39:52Speaker 4: some jail time. Got an ankle bracelet on steal, which
- 39:56Speaker 4: I like. It keeps me from looking around.
- 40:00Speaker 6: I've had one once. It's really nice and it helps
- 40:02Speaker 6: you be present in a way.
- 40:04Speaker 4: Yeah. I like not traveling because I travel within my
- 40:07Speaker 4: state lines.
- 40:08Speaker 6: I don't. You're believed of the freedom of choice.
- 40:12Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's what I learned. I'm not gonna There
- 40:14Speaker 4: are a lot of rules and regulations about fireworks. There
- 40:18Speaker 4: really are, yeah, and we should talk about some of
- 40:21Speaker 4: them because they change.
- 40:23Speaker 6: And it's state to state too. Oh, no.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Rules regulation, grey area, gray area. You guys are caught
- 40:33Speaker 1: in eighteen fifteen, oh whatever, in the Battle of eighteen fifteen,
- 40:39Speaker 1: the battle Battle. You want to know my playground is
- 40:43Speaker 1: the battle, my playground the world. You want to know
- 40:46Speaker 1: where I do my drones, anywhere I can get a
- 40:48Speaker 1: drone to fit. You want to know my special move
- 40:51Speaker 1: scanning your face at the end of the performance and
- 40:54Speaker 1: then projecting your own shocked face into the sky for
- 40:58Speaker 1: a mile long?
- 40:59Speaker 4: Well, can I ask you what's the difference between that
- 41:01Speaker 4: and a projector.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Because I begin to explain how different.
- 41:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I have a friend at the youth group who
- 41:10Speaker 4: does projector movies in the swimming pool. We put the
- 41:12Speaker 4: projector on. That to me looks like the same shit.
- 41:15Speaker 4: You're new, You're just projecting light up there.
- 41:18Speaker 1: M You guys have no idea. Your industry is over.
- 41:23Speaker 1: You're You're an urchin at the end of its life,
- 41:26Speaker 1: about to be stomped by the bigger fish. And that's drone.
- 41:31Speaker 2: No, No, that's fireworks will never go away. Fireworks are
- 41:36Speaker 2: what makes people people, what gives you a soul.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Prove it. Prove to me how much you love fireworks.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Right now, you know what I think we should do
- 41:48Speaker 1: a draw off. I brought a whiteboard, thank god, thank god.
- 41:51Speaker 4: I'm a listener at home.
- 41:52Speaker 1: A whiteboard for the listener at home. This next part.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Watched the video.
- 41:58Speaker 6: There's next part.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Call on YouTube dot Google Francisco Tampa whiteboard. Actually, don't
- 42:03Speaker 1: do that. Actually google Francisco Tampa white don't Google. No,
- 42:10Speaker 1: don't do.
- 42:11Speaker 4: More board or not do that, do not do that.
- 42:14Speaker 4: So here's the thing, if you are listening or watching
- 42:17Speaker 4: it home, the firework technicians wat board is I would say,
- 42:22Speaker 4: I don't know Hamilton's gun exactly exactly, Hambleton's gun lead
- 42:27Speaker 4: Manuel Miranda's piano.
- 42:29Speaker 1: There we go. Yes, I don't know who that guy is.
- 42:33Speaker 6: Yes you do. There was a twinkle in your eye.
- 42:36Speaker 1: I don't know him. I'm doing a Milana show for him.
- 42:42Speaker 1: You are on spec.
- 42:43Speaker 5: I hope he likes it, all right.
- 42:45Speaker 7: So what I want to do is what I want
- 42:49Speaker 7: to do is I want us to do our dream
- 42:52Speaker 7: version of a firework. All right, show what doesn't exist
- 42:56Speaker 7: yet but could exist?
- 42:59Speaker 5: Okay, and a four colors.
- 43:00Speaker 1: I got blue, I got black, I got green, I
- 43:02Speaker 1: got red.
- 43:02Speaker 2: So you're asking me to be clear to invent a
- 43:05Speaker 2: firework no one's ever seen before.
- 43:07Speaker 7: Yeah, give me a brand new firework, and I got
- 43:10Speaker 7: one that I can do right now.
- 43:12Speaker 4: Wow, Now what you're doing fireworks? Are you listening to
- 43:15Speaker 4: music when you're designing?
- 43:16Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I'm listening all the time. I'm listening to the.
- 43:19Speaker 1: Song put it on? You want to put it on? Yeah?
- 43:21Speaker 1: You do know?
- 43:21Speaker 5: Lick it off by kiss?
- 43:23Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 43:24Speaker 4: Is that what you have? Come on, baby, come on,
- 43:28Speaker 4: lick it off. Don't say too much of it. Don't
- 43:33Speaker 4: say too much of it.
- 43:34Speaker 1: It's not how that works.
- 43:36Speaker 4: It is. You can't say, I'm telling.
- 43:37Speaker 1: You I'm not. Don't worry, it's it's not the song
- 43:41Speaker 1: that will ever be registered YouTube algorithm. You it off,
- 43:51Speaker 1: lick it up, come whip cream, lick it off.
- 43:55Speaker 2: The listener at home, he's holding the mic cap No,
- 43:59Speaker 2: the the maker cap it is.
- 44:00Speaker 8: Oh, it doesn't even against Tune into the video video.
- 44:04Speaker 1: Tune into the video.
- 44:05Speaker 4: Into the video with the commenters. Can Tom stip where
- 44:08Speaker 4: they started drawing?
- 44:10Speaker 1: Are you ready to reveal.
- 44:11Speaker 6: I love handing out jobs? Lick it up?
- 44:19Speaker 1: Wait? Is the YouTube gonna flag me?
- 44:21Speaker 4: Lick it up?
- 44:22Speaker 6: Ye, lick it up?
- 44:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it's good. All right? You guys ready for
- 44:27Speaker 1: a dream fucking firework?
- 44:29Speaker 6: Yes, show us.
- 44:34Speaker 1: An acoustic guitar specifically, and then at.
- 44:37Speaker 6: The bottom is text in a different color.
- 44:43Speaker 1: It's his tit.
- 44:44Speaker 7: So this is just kind of a quintessential guys fireworks,
- 44:49Speaker 7: and I think finally it's one for the guys. Fireworks
- 44:53Speaker 7: tend to be a little feminine. They're all shaped like breasts,
- 44:55Speaker 7: which guys don't have a problem with. But I'd like
- 44:59Speaker 7: to see one like this. You think your drone could
- 45:01Speaker 7: do this?
- 45:02Speaker 1: I think exactly that. I really really would love to
- 45:10Speaker 1: show you how much your drone could show that.
- 45:12Speaker 7: All let's have you go last, because losers finished last.
- 45:18Speaker 6: All right, well let me do it, twig girl.
- 45:21Speaker 2: I think I have some toast that's almost ready.
- 45:24Speaker 6: I'm about to get to it.
- 45:26Speaker 1: It's very obvious you want music.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Yes, can you put on my Sharona please? And a
- 45:36Speaker 2: new firework that's never been done before?
- 45:41Speaker 1: You cover my Sharona.
- 45:45Speaker 7: At the Lake Harris Thursday Nights.
- 45:48Speaker 6: Ever even heard of? What the hell is?
- 45:55Speaker 1: Firework?
- 45:56Speaker 4: No one's ever even seen before?
- 46:00Speaker 6: It's firework.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Before and this was your cover for the audio listener.
- 46:17Speaker 1: This is definitely a good time to tune out or
- 46:19Speaker 1: turn down the volumes.
- 46:22Speaker 2: It's a new firework that it's never even been seen before.
- 46:26Speaker 2: It's a new firework on's ever even seen before.
- 46:29Speaker 6: Are you ready?
- 46:31Speaker 1: Wow? Okay, it's a bunch of shapes with smiley faces,
- 46:37Speaker 1: says Pizza, A big question. That's okay.
- 46:41Speaker 2: These are just the little shapes that I like to
- 46:43Speaker 2: see before I go to sleep.
- 46:45Speaker 6: They float through the sky and I go.
- 46:47Speaker 5: That's nice. I'm going to suggest you took a picture
- 46:51Speaker 5: of that and show it to the doctor.
- 46:52Speaker 1: When you go. That's definitely.
- 46:55Speaker 6: I love to see it.
- 46:58Speaker 7: Okay, well, so far two fireworks that are better than
- 47:02Speaker 7: anything a drone could do.
- 47:03Speaker 1: That is so easy on a drone. You would not
- 47:06Speaker 1: believe how easy that would be on a drune.
- 47:09Speaker 6: But can the drone capture the whimsy of what I
- 47:11Speaker 6: just did?
- 47:12Speaker 1: Honestly, yes, it's that's what drones are known for, as whimsy?
- 47:15Speaker 1: All right?
- 47:15Speaker 4: Can I have the other colors? More colors or as
- 47:19Speaker 4: color escaped your brain at this point and.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Passed them over to your confession lady? There they are. Yeah,
- 47:26Speaker 1: you're sitting on it.
- 47:27Speaker 4: Did they all look like gray to you?
- 47:29Speaker 6: Well? They are?
- 47:34Speaker 1: Oh god right, you are our only hope?
- 47:38Speaker 4: All right?
- 47:38Speaker 1: Have you ever seen that Star Wars and bringing up
- 47:41Speaker 1: the only hope?
- 47:43Speaker 7: All right?
- 47:43Speaker 4: What I'm about to do, What I'm about to do
- 47:46Speaker 4: I can't do with a mock in my hand. So
- 47:49Speaker 4: I'm gonna put the mic down, don't freak out, and
- 47:52Speaker 4: I'll pick it back up at a later But if
- 47:54Speaker 4: you want to narrate for the listener, I'm gonna do
- 47:56Speaker 4: the motion of my fireworks. I'm gonna do a firework
- 47:59Speaker 4: as it's not the end result right times the initial Okay,
- 48:05Speaker 4: you're gonna see it.
- 48:05Speaker 6: Move any music requests, let's do a.
- 48:10Speaker 1: Hm, great, god, somebody time, let's see it go. Okay,
- 48:24Speaker 1: she's starting.
- 48:26Speaker 4: Starting whoa.
- 48:31Speaker 1: There turning?
- 48:32Speaker 5: You're spinning around in a circle technique.
- 48:35Speaker 6: Yes, it's like wasps.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Do you want to describe your technique? Just to make
- 48:40Speaker 1: sure I'm looking at the right thing? Shooting up? Okay,
- 48:44Speaker 1: that's what fireworks usually do, so basically for the audio
- 48:47Speaker 1: listener again, turn tune into the video. But she's doing
- 48:51Speaker 1: a bunch of awkward, oblong, kind of strange lines, and
- 48:55Speaker 1: the firework is breaking, turning off, turning on.
- 48:58Speaker 2: It st of looks like when you wind d eyes
- 49:00Speaker 2: and you look in the sun and then you open
- 49:03Speaker 2: them and you see a bunch of scragglyes.
- 49:05Speaker 6: In the air.
- 49:05Speaker 1: It looks like a one year old's version of art
- 49:08Speaker 1: to me is what it looks like that?
- 49:10Speaker 4: All right, maybe this is too advanced, but I'm gonna
- 49:12Speaker 4: talk fireworks right now.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Let's get into it.
- 49:14Speaker 4: Do you see ablongs teal? Yeah, shape, it's a shape
- 49:20Speaker 4: we make with fire ablongs teal. And then do you
- 49:22Speaker 4: see a hunker torn a hunker toe? Yeah, that's in there.
- 49:26Speaker 1: I see that.
- 49:27Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 49:27Speaker 4: And then I did some repetition of a hunker torn
- 49:30Speaker 4: and then I did a spirally fire.
- 49:34Speaker 2: Yeah, nal hunker tone, hunker tone, spiral fire, yeah, got it.
- 49:37Speaker 4: Maybe this is too advanced for the I see all
- 49:40Speaker 4: of it.
- 49:41Speaker 1: I feel like that freak in a beautiful mind.
- 49:44Speaker 4: That's what I feel like too, And that's what I wanted.
- 49:46Speaker 4: I wanted just call me crazy, but I wanted you
- 49:49Speaker 4: to see the motion, because all you're gonna show me
- 49:53Speaker 4: is the end result.
- 49:54Speaker 1: If you don't think my drones can do that, you
- 49:58Speaker 1: don't even know a drone, easy could see one in
- 50:01Speaker 1: your face.
- 50:01Speaker 6: Well why don't you damn well prove it?
- 50:03Speaker 7: Then you you you are acting like this character that
- 50:09Speaker 7: my steps on went as for Halloween from Dragon ball Z.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Who vegeta the green guy? Oh Piccolo, it's usually the
- 50:18Speaker 1: side nice guy, except in one arc he's nice.
- 50:21Speaker 4: What you're thinking of?
- 50:22Speaker 1: Cell or freezer? I don't know any of those words.
- 50:25Speaker 1: I'm in englishman, I guess if I had to imagine.
- 50:28Speaker 1: But my drones can do anything.
- 50:30Speaker 7: Let's see if the drones can be what we've shown.
- 50:33Speaker 7: Because you've shown that fireworks leave marks, You've shown that
- 50:36Speaker 7: fireworks can be simple and confusing, and I am shown
- 50:39Speaker 7: that fireworks.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Can be for dudes, and my drones can do all
- 50:43Speaker 1: of that. Let's but I'll try to do something that
- 50:46Speaker 1: a drone maybe can't do. Any song you want, could
- 50:49Speaker 1: you sing? Uh yeah, FCP remix? No, no, no, I
- 50:56Speaker 1: can't do you guys know any do you guys know
- 51:00Speaker 1: any jorn? Okay, fine, just play y m c A.
- 51:07Speaker 6: I'd love to stay at the why mc hey, I'd
- 51:12Speaker 6: love to stay at.
