  Speaker 2: What prayer did for me was was it tied me

  Speaker 2: to my creator. It gave me a sense. And I'm

  Speaker 2: describing it this way, but I'm telling you it's deeper

  Speaker 2: than this. But it gave me a sense that I

  Speaker 2: wasn't alone, and at actuality I wasn't. But prayer helped

  Speaker 2: connect me to the power source that was available to
• 1:44
  Speaker 2: me to get through, get around, or get over whatever

  Speaker 2: it was that was in the way. Whether it was
• 1:54
  Speaker 2: just a period I stretched, I had to go through

  Speaker 2: hard work. It had a period I had to go

  Speaker 2: through to learn some lessons, some periods I had to

  Speaker 2: go through from having to pay for some of the

  Speaker 2: mistakes I've made.

  Speaker 2: Prayer gave me a decided advantage, especially, oh, here we go,

  Speaker 2: especially over my enemies. Now, the majority of people in

  Speaker 2: my life that were my enemies, I didn't want them

  Speaker 2: to be my enemies, make no mistake about this. But

  Speaker 2: through the thing called life, some things went down. Some

  Speaker 2: things happened from here and then went over here and

  Speaker 2: over that way, and a person became my enemy. The

  Speaker 2: majority of enemies I had came out of nowhere. I

  Speaker 2: have no reason to even see why they are my enemies.

  Speaker 2: But you know, life goes on, man, It happens from

  Speaker 2: time to time. Some people just won't let it go. See,

  Speaker 2: some people, in their quest to do something to you

  Speaker 2: or to make you pay they just won't.

  Speaker 3: Let it go.

  Speaker 2: What it may cause you some discomfort, and some of

  Speaker 2: it may be lies about you and all of this

  Speaker 2: and all of that, but that that can't prohibit you

  Speaker 2: from going forward. So what I'm saying is prayer gave

  Speaker 2: me the strength, wisdom understanding the carriage to either go
• 3:21
  Speaker 2: through it, go around it, or go over it.

  Speaker 3: But it happened.

  Speaker 2: I do not know how I could have made it

  Speaker 2: without faith and without prayer, it would have something would
• 3:38
  Speaker 2: have got me.

  Speaker 3: YouTube would have got me. The bloggers would have got me.

  Speaker 2: My partners that I grew up with that used to

  Speaker 2: laugh behind my back, they would have got me. My

  Speaker 2: friend that went over my mother's house one time and

  Speaker 2: told her, you know what Steves problem is he out

  Speaker 2: there telling them jokes. He just lazy, he don't want

  Speaker 2: to work. That would have got me. They didn't know.

  Speaker 2: I ain't really mad at them because they were just
• 4:12
  Speaker 2: All they was doing was based in their conversations and

  Speaker 2: pasting judgment based on what they knew, based on what
• 4:19
  Speaker 2: they believed.

  Speaker 3: They didn't believe I was gonna make it. But that's
• 4:24
  Speaker 3: them though.
• 4:26
  Speaker 2: If it was not for the faith, which is the
• 4:29
  Speaker 2: belief in things that you cannot see. I wouldn't have
• 4:31
  Speaker 2: made it because I would have listened to everybody else
• 4:36
  Speaker 2: who didn't see me getting here and went along with it.

  Speaker 3: And then prayer.

  Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, man, how many times has prayer bailed

  Speaker 2: me out? Prayer has bailed me out, press still bailing

  Speaker 2: me out. Tell you the truth, man, quiet as it's kept. Prayer,

  Speaker 2: that connection to your heavenly Father, that connection to your creator,

  Speaker 2: that connection to that source of power and inspiration, that

  Speaker 2: connection of never feeling that you were alone. You know,

  Speaker 2: I was watching the Bishop Jakes on TV yesterday and
• 5:14
  Speaker 2: it was a repeat, and one of the things he
• 5:18
  Speaker 2: was talking about, well, let me just get to the
• 5:22
  Speaker 2: gist of it. I was going through a portion of
• 5:26
  Speaker 2: my life and I went through it for some years, y'all.

  Speaker 2: I had gotten myself into a jam that lasted for years,
• 5:35
  Speaker 2: I'm telling you, for years, with some serious consequences to follow.

  Speaker 3: For years.
• 5:44
  Speaker 2: And I was so busy looking at where I was at.

  Speaker 3: I was sulking.
• 5:53
  Speaker 2: Sometimes, Man, I'd get on the radio, man, I'd be

  Speaker 2: just done.

  Speaker 3: I was sulking. My spirit had gotten low.

  Speaker 2: I had gotten tired of the fight, and would I

  Speaker 2: would come on some mornings, man, and I would try

  Speaker 2: try not to let on, but I was hurting. I

  Speaker 2: was because I had been in for years. Man, I

  Speaker 2: had been in this thing for years. And one thing

  Speaker 2: I was doing, I was so busy looking at where

  Speaker 2: I was at. And when I was watching Bishop Jakes
• 6:25
  Speaker 2: he preached his sermon. He was talking about so busy
• 6:35
  Speaker 2: looking at where.
• 6:35
  Speaker 3: You at.

  Speaker 2: That you don't even realize that God has been with
• 6:44
  Speaker 2: you the entire time. And you know what, Man, just yesterday,
• 6:51
  Speaker 2: just yesterday, I heard this and I text him.

  Speaker 3: I text Bishop Jakes.

  Speaker 2: And I thanked him because it was an old message
• 6:58
  Speaker 2: I could tell and I call, I text him up

  Speaker 2: and I said, Man, thank you so much. I was

  Speaker 2: just watching you on TV and you told me, Man,

  Speaker 2: something that I that I'll always remember that whatever you're

  Speaker 2: going through, that he's there with you the whole time.

  Speaker 2: But see when sometimes when you're so busy looking at
• 7:17
  Speaker 2: where you at, you don't even notice where he is.

  Speaker 2: And see sometimes, Man, that helped me, and that's going
• 7:24
  Speaker 2: to help me in the future to realize that what

  Speaker 2: I'm going through, that he's there.

  Speaker 3: He's there with me.

  Speaker 2: And he gonna protect me and he ain't gonna let
• 7:32
  Speaker 2: my enemies overcome me, and he ain't gonna let nobody

  Speaker 2: overtake me, and he ain't gonna let me go on

  Speaker 2: there because he's there. It's just you can't be so

  Speaker 2: busy looking at where you at that you don't take

  Speaker 2: notice of where he at. God is always there, He's
• 7:45
  Speaker 2: always available, and the best way to tap into that
• 7:48
  Speaker 2: and know it is you got to pray. Prayer has

  Speaker 2: changed my life. Prayer can change your life. You can
• 7:55
  Speaker 2: become something if you just pray.
