- 0:00Speaker 1: Where should I begin?
- 0:00Speaker 2: Can we talk about this?
- 0:01Speaker 3: Say, what are you trying to do beyond the usual
- 0:04Speaker 3: controversial talking over the welcome to one to prepare yourself
- 0:14Speaker 3: okay for Craig, okay, preparing my despect to go here.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Particulate stimulated right there there you go.
- 0:26Speaker 4: Oh yeah, you start becoming a gen.
- 0:30Speaker 5: Is the Craigncullin Show.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Jesus, oh no dot talking This station is well the
- 0:37Speaker 2: ultimate power in the universe.
- 0:39Speaker 6: Your host, he's a.
- 0:40Speaker 7: Good man, Craig.
- 0:42Speaker 3: That's right, It is the Craig Collins Show. K s
- 0:45Speaker 3: e V seven hundred am the Voice of Texas. Thanks
- 0:49Speaker 3: to Bench dru Sant, who was filling in for Chris
- 0:52Speaker 3: X this afternoon, for asking me to hop in and
- 0:54Speaker 3: be a part of the show. I do like the
- 0:57Speaker 3: fact that he kept calling me the w NBA X
- 1:00Speaker 3: of KSV Radio, because it's kind of like tallest midget
- 1:04Speaker 3: version of a thing. No offense to anybody. A lot
- 1:07Speaker 3: of us are not huge WNBA fans to begin with,
- 1:10Speaker 3: so the fact that I know maybe a little bit
- 1:12Speaker 3: more about the WNBA than the rest of them makes
- 1:15Speaker 3: me the expert internally. But I am not watching a
- 1:17Speaker 3: tremendous amount of WNBA in general, although it's hard not
- 1:21Speaker 3: to right now. I will say that I know that
- 1:25Speaker 3: producer Phil who's here today is a basketball guy and
- 1:28Speaker 3: an NBA guy, which I'm much more of an NBA
- 1:31Speaker 3: guy than WNBA, But I think it is hard not
- 1:36Speaker 3: to at least know some of what's going on because
- 1:38Speaker 3: of how consistently this has been in the news. And
- 1:40Speaker 3: the funniest thing from the other day a couple of
- 1:44Speaker 3: days ago has been the former NBA players who said
- 1:47Speaker 3: that they're willing to play in the WNBA if they
- 1:50Speaker 3: let that French do into the league. The guy who
- 1:53Speaker 3: is playing in the secondary tier league of the French
- 1:58Speaker 3: women's basketball whatever that is dominating that sport because he's
- 2:03Speaker 3: a dude and he's got ridiculous forearms compared to the
- 2:06Speaker 3: ladies that he's elbowing every time he goes into the paint.
- 2:09Speaker 3: So it is funny to watch the WNBA implode in
- 2:14Speaker 3: the sense that their logic is becoming exposed for being
- 2:18Speaker 3: terrible and idiotic, which it's just constantly landing in that
- 2:22Speaker 3: category every time you watch a conversation happen in the
- 2:27Speaker 3: world of this sports league, and they don't do the
- 2:31Speaker 3: easy right thing like say that it seems absolutely wrong
- 2:36Speaker 3: for one player to close line another player and that
- 2:39Speaker 3: the foul or the you know, the flagrant fowl should
- 2:44Speaker 3: not be on the player who got closed line and
- 2:46Speaker 3: dropped to the floor, Or that Caitlin Clark gets suspended
- 2:49Speaker 3: because of a flagrant fowl where she bumps into a
- 2:51Speaker 3: ref after completing a play where she shoved at a bounds.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Like there's so many versions of just do the normal thing, people,
- 2:59Speaker 3: and as long as you do the normal thing, everything
- 3:01Speaker 3: will be entirely fine and everybody will be very very happy.
- 3:06Speaker 3: I don't know if Phil closed the thing for our
- 3:10Speaker 3: video or not, because I do see what you're doing
- 3:12Speaker 3: up there in the video, and if you need help
- 3:14Speaker 3: figuring that out for obs, we can take a break
- 3:18Speaker 3: and then we can get back to it.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I can fix all that and you're good.
- 3:21Speaker 3: It's all good, Okay, cool, But yeah no, because I'm
- 3:24Speaker 3: watching and Phil was doing a great job unexpectedly trying
- 3:28Speaker 3: to handle a bunch of things all going in the
- 3:30Speaker 3: air at the same time as far as the last
- 3:32Speaker 3: show goes.
- 3:33Speaker 1: But I do want to play some audio.
- 3:35Speaker 3: I want some of this audio that gets out there,
- 3:38Speaker 3: to include the video clips that I often include with
- 3:40Speaker 3: this stuff, which I'll do on this end, But this
- 3:43Speaker 3: is to me one of the more obvious crazy things
- 3:47Speaker 3: where they start and Scott Jennings is so good at
- 3:51Speaker 3: this on CNN, they start arguing about the stupidity of
- 3:54Speaker 3: the left and the stupidity of the craziness, and you
- 3:57Speaker 3: have somebody on a panel somewhere who's to defend the ridiculousness,
- 4:01Speaker 3: And then you have at least one sane person saying
- 4:05Speaker 3: the thing the rest of us need to hear, because
- 4:07Speaker 3: the sanity of so many of these arguments is I
- 4:11Speaker 3: think going to be the winning message that transforms, potentially
- 4:14Speaker 3: transforms the midterm elections. A lot of people believed that
- 4:18Speaker 3: Democrats were going to easily win the House, potentially take
- 4:21Speaker 3: over the Senate, and I think that the Democratic Socialists
- 4:24Speaker 3: are making this a fair game. Although I fully agree
- 4:27Speaker 3: with Ben Strusan and what he said during the beginning
- 4:30Speaker 3: parts of Chris's show, which is that tall Ico has
- 4:33Speaker 3: a real shot to win Texas. I didn't believe it before,
- 4:38Speaker 3: and I said this last week in the show, and
- 4:40Speaker 3: Chris and Spring called in to say that he still
- 4:42Speaker 3: feels the way I used to feel, which I feel like.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I understand where that's coming from.
- 4:47Speaker 3: But when I went to Paks's event and saw how
- 4:49Speaker 3: little the attendants, how small the attendance was, how little
- 4:53Speaker 3: the interest or the enthusiasm seemed to be, how a
- 4:56Speaker 3: lot of the talking points on stage were ones you've
- 4:58Speaker 3: heard a lot of times on our side, and a
- 5:01Speaker 3: message that's not getting through well enough to the other side.
- 5:04Speaker 3: I have concerns, But then you watch people say, and
- 5:07Speaker 3: even Bill Maher say, how crazy the left has become,
- 5:11Speaker 3: and you wonder how they could possibly actually win elections.
- 5:13Speaker 1: A case in point is this from CNN to the election.
- 5:16Speaker 8: So I noted AOC's comment this weekend. You know woke
- 5:20Speaker 8: one was crazy. Let me introduce you to woke too,
- 5:22Speaker 8: Electric boogloo. This is the craziest sequel in the history
- 5:26Speaker 8: of politics. If you think what they were selling back
- 5:29Speaker 8: in twenty twenty, abolished police or defund the police was crazy.
- 5:32Speaker 8: Now it's abolish police, abolish prisons, abolished border, abolished the
- 5:37Speaker 8: US cent, which really means abolished constitution. And it gets
- 5:41Speaker 8: even crazier abolished Thanksgiving because fundamentally they hate what the
- 5:46Speaker 8: United States of America stands for. You cannot have any
- 5:50Speaker 8: conversation about affordability with voters. When you're out there saying,
- 5:54Speaker 8: you know, this country really is rotten at its core
- 5:56Speaker 8: and it needs to be ripped out, root and branch.
- 5:58Speaker 8: Was exactly what these democratics socialists are doing. Yes, you
- 6:01Speaker 8: can make all the happy smiley videos you want, but
- 6:05Speaker 8: until you solve the crazy problem of all of these
- 6:09Speaker 8: supposed hot takes, how do you ever break through to
- 6:13Speaker 8: average voters who are just looking for something.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Normal, right, They're just looking for something that they, you know,
- 6:19Speaker 3: very simply hope becomes a message from either side that
- 6:22Speaker 3: prices are going to go down, that things are going
- 6:24Speaker 3: to become more affordable. I think one of the strongest
- 6:26Speaker 3: messages Jimmy X, who's calling in, He actually said this.
- 6:29Speaker 3: So I'm gonna bring on Jimmy X and then I'm
- 6:31Speaker 3: actually gonna credit him for being one of the people
- 6:33Speaker 3: that said this gas prices going down would be a
- 6:37Speaker 3: huge win as far as Republicans go in the midterm elections,
- 6:41Speaker 3: because affordability is really the hot button issue for many
- 6:45Speaker 3: many Americans.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Jimmy, I know you agree.
- 6:47Speaker 8: With that.
- 6:49Speaker 7: Game changer, right, absolute game changer. Yes, But first I
- 6:53Speaker 7: do want to say that the Judge did a really
- 6:57Speaker 7: nice job hosting the show earlier for christ Act. You
- 7:02Speaker 7: mean the smart one was on point?
- 7:04Speaker 1: You mean the smart one? You mean Ben Streets.
- 7:06Speaker 7: Oh no, oh sorry, I was gonna miss up his
- 7:10Speaker 7: name like he called you Chris.
- 7:13Speaker 1: That's nice, that's nice of you. That's not dude.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I don't mind being a Chris at this station because
- 7:17Speaker 3: you have two chris Is already. I'll just be Chris
- 7:19Speaker 3: number three.
- 7:20Speaker 1: That's fine.
- 7:22Speaker 7: Well, I just I mean once twice, but the third time.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Come on, man, that's right, that's fine. They all know, Yeah,
- 7:31Speaker 1: go ahead.
- 7:33Speaker 7: Well, as long as the paychecks does Craig.
- 7:35Speaker 9: And uh, it's true.
- 7:38Speaker 7: But but but I knew if he's listening, I would
- 7:41Speaker 7: get his goat by calling him to Judge.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Sure, yeah, that's not And look at me not even
- 7:46Speaker 3: understand the joke and immediately defend him.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I look at me.
- 7:49Speaker 10: Screw it all up there, that's it man.
- 7:52Speaker 7: So but yeah, man, so gas price is game changer.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Yes.
- 7:57Speaker 7: Here's the other thing, though, Greg, We were dooting in
- 8:01Speaker 7: this election fan Wesley Hunt being our nominee. Okay, if ken,
- 8:11Speaker 7: if John Cornyn was our nominee, there was going to
- 8:15Speaker 7: be a huge part of the population in the voting
- 8:18Speaker 7: public who were simply sick and tired of voting for
- 8:22Speaker 7: that guy, like we held our nose in twenty twenty,
- 8:26Speaker 7: held their nose in twenty fourteen, held their nose in
- 8:29Speaker 7: two thousand and eight, Okay, because we were tired of
- 8:32Speaker 7: being duked by John Cornyan and John Cornyan, John Wayne
- 8:37Speaker 7: Cornyan made his own bed. Yes, Okay, I.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I totally agree with you.
- 8:44Speaker 3: By the way, everybody who's who's talking about how Paxton
- 8:48Speaker 3: is struggling in the polls compared to what they hoped
- 8:50Speaker 3: he would be doing right now absolutely misunderstands the idea
- 8:55Speaker 3: that there's a lot of people who would just simply
- 8:58Speaker 3: not vote for Cornyn and allow the grenade to go off.
- 9:01Speaker 3: That is tall rico because of their anger with the
- 9:04Speaker 3: political establishment on their own side of the aisle.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Continue.
- 9:08Speaker 7: Absolutely, Cornyan has a voting record that people are sick of.
- 9:13Speaker 7: Paxton has his own personal issues, okay, But the fact
- 9:18Speaker 7: that this guy is not outspending money and defining James
- 9:24Speaker 7: Talawaco is just it's a criminal. Okay. You can't think
- 9:31Speaker 7: just because you have an R behind your name in
- 9:34Speaker 7: the state of Texas that you're just gonna walk into
- 9:37Speaker 7: the US sendenc you better get your head out of
- 9:40Speaker 7: your four points of contact, and you better start spending
- 9:43Speaker 7: some money, and you better start defining this guy before
- 9:47Speaker 7: it's too late. And I'm just baffled at the Ken
- 9:54Speaker 7: Paxton campaign right now.
- 9:56Speaker 3: I think that's fair, although I would say that they're
- 9:58Speaker 3: struggling to raise money. I know that a bunch of
- 10:01Speaker 3: people reported on the funding difference between the two campaigns.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Tallarico twenty one point five million dollars, a ton of
- 10:08Speaker 3: it not coming from Texas at all, and then Paxton
- 10:11Speaker 3: one point eight million dollars. So wherever that money is
- 10:15Speaker 3: supposed to be coming from, it's not coming and Paxton
- 10:19Speaker 3: needs it. And oddly he didn't really spend money any
- 10:22Speaker 3: of the other times in the original primary race and
- 10:25Speaker 3: the runoff to the extent that he probably should have,
- 10:29Speaker 3: because often it was a hatred for Cornyn that I
- 10:32Speaker 3: think was actually helping prop him up. But now, as
- 10:35Speaker 3: you said, people really need to understand who Tallarico is
- 10:38Speaker 3: and what he stands for in order for Texas to
- 10:41Speaker 3: resoundingly reject the man. And Paxton's campaign isn't doing enough,
- 10:45Speaker 3: isn't raising enough to get that.
- 10:47Speaker 7: Done, Craig. He has money in his campaign, coffers that
- 10:52Speaker 7: he has accumulated over several state month elections.
- 10:55Speaker 1: That's true.
- 10:56Speaker 7: He has the Republican Senatorial Committee, he has uncle Donnie Trump. Okay,
- 11:02Speaker 7: he's got cousin Elon Musks, people that he can go.
- 11:07Speaker 7: He does help fund his campaign. Okay, because this Texas
- 11:12Speaker 7: falls it all over. Yeah, people have to realize that.
- 11:17Speaker 7: Do I want to vote for Ken Paxton?
- 11:20Speaker 11: No?
- 11:20Speaker 7: I don't. Am I gonna vote for Ken Paxton? Absolutely? Yeah, okay,
- 11:26Speaker 7: one hundred percent.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:28Speaker 3: I actually, I actually want to talk about something you
- 11:30Speaker 3: said a second ago, Jimmy, because I think it's a
- 11:31Speaker 3: really good point and I think people are missing it.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Texas going to a Democrat, a statewide race, a Senate
- 11:40Speaker 3: seat going to a Democrat, especially one as crazy as Tallarico,
- 11:44Speaker 3: but one in general, is the kind of lightning rod
- 11:47Speaker 3: the Democratic Party wants to use throughout the country. So
- 11:50Speaker 3: when you talk about the significance not just here in
- 11:53Speaker 3: our state and the feeling we'd have if if the
- 11:57Speaker 3: insane happens and taller Ico walks off to d C
- 12:01Speaker 3: and pretends he represents us when he does not represent
- 12:04Speaker 3: the average Texan the The other thing they'll do with
- 12:06Speaker 3: that is they'll talk about how the world itself is changing,
- 12:09Speaker 3: the country is changing, and it will motivate people.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I used to live in Illinois.
- 12:13Speaker 3: People there would believe that if Texas can do it,
- 12:17Speaker 3: we can do it with any any Now. Granted, Illinois
- 12:19Speaker 3: already does a whole lot of democratic electing, but I
- 12:22Speaker 3: think that that would be a huge shot across the
- 12:25Speaker 3: bow throughout the entirety of the country. We cannot allow
- 12:28Speaker 3: it to happen here in Texas because we cannot allow
- 12:32Speaker 3: that foothold to become a reality that invigorates the left
- 12:36Speaker 3: even more.
- 12:39Speaker 7: You are one hundred percent on point your point, and
- 12:45Speaker 7: I appreciate that. But you know, the point is is
- 12:48Speaker 7: that they will they will use this yes to prop
- 12:52Speaker 7: up and normalize communism. Yes, okay, you see even Texans
- 12:58Speaker 7: want communist. James tallerco is a communion. He is a
- 13:04Speaker 7: Democratic Socialist of America, Okay, which I you and I
- 13:08Speaker 7: both call communists. And you know he's trying to hide
- 13:13Speaker 7: it a little bit right now, but he won't deny
- 13:16Speaker 7: anything that they stand for. And all these other candidates
- 13:22Speaker 7: around the country, Okay, the idiot in Wisconsin Knight, who's
- 13:26Speaker 7: probably going to win Francesca Hank, Yeah, who's Who's you know,
- 13:34Speaker 7: trying to make this its crazy world that Asian people
- 13:40Speaker 7: get discriminated upon so much, and her child is half
- 13:45Speaker 7: white and half Korean and has to go through all
- 13:48Speaker 7: of There's nobody does that. No, Okay, I mean, first
- 13:54Speaker 7: of all, you live in Wisconsin. Okay, there's nobody. There's
- 13:59Speaker 7: no field white people, and won't there are a bunch
- 14:04Speaker 7: of cheeseheads man, yes.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Yeah, Well you know it's also funny.
- 14:09Speaker 3: And I'm gonna play this audio and I'm going to
- 14:11Speaker 3: keep you, and I see that we got another caller
- 14:12Speaker 3: that I'm gonna throw a hold that we'll get on
- 14:14Speaker 3: in a second, but I'm gonna keep you because one
- 14:17Speaker 3: of the things Francesca has now said to explain away
- 14:20Speaker 3: her most insane positions, and Jimmy, you follow the news
- 14:24Speaker 3: so much, you properly already know this, is that at
- 14:26Speaker 3: one point she wanted to be a sports journalist, So
- 14:29Speaker 3: she's claiming some of her insane takes were really just
- 14:32Speaker 3: her trying to get off the ground as a sports journalist.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Let me play this real quick and then we'll both
- 14:36Speaker 1: react to it.
- 14:37Speaker 11: And I was actually trying to become a sports journalist
- 14:39Speaker 11: when I first went to college, so I learned then
- 14:43Speaker 11: you have some hot takes, sometimes bad takes.
- 14:46Speaker 3: On Twitter, like her bad takes her Thanksgiving is terrible
- 14:50Speaker 3: and it needs to go away. And now she says
- 14:52Speaker 3: that it's actually her favorite holiday. But that's her explanation
- 14:55Speaker 3: for her insane far left rhetoric over the last few years,
- 14:59Speaker 3: is that she just wanted to be on ESPN.
- 15:02Speaker 7: Dude, I've seen the video of her and Assan Piker,
- 15:06Speaker 7: Yes okay when he goes rapid fire and all those
- 15:09Speaker 7: questions and she goes, yes absolutely on everything.
- 15:14Speaker 9: They believe it.
- 15:15Speaker 7: There's no hot take, right okay.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Well they're all hot takes. They're just their actual beliefs.
- 15:22Speaker 3: And I love that they try to explain it away
- 15:24Speaker 3: by saying, I really just wanted to be in sports
- 15:26Speaker 3: journalism for a bit, because that's what makes a sports
- 15:29Speaker 3: stylist famous.
- 15:30Speaker 1: They're political hot takes.
- 15:33Speaker 7: So it's called the hot mic, which is really you're
- 15:36Speaker 7: saying what you really believe.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Yes, absolutely absolutely, man. Well thank you for the call, dude.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Anything else you want to say before I let you go?
- 15:44Speaker 7: No, just again, you know, judge Drew saying, if you're
- 15:47Speaker 7: out there listening, great job, Brothers.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Thank you Jimmy.
- 15:51Speaker 3: It's so funny when listeners are regular listeners, people like
- 15:54Speaker 3: Jimmy want to defend me. We also got to call
- 15:57Speaker 3: off the air from somebody that said that I was
- 15:59Speaker 3: doing a great job and they love the show and
- 16:01Speaker 3: they loved the new app and like, we're all on
- 16:03Speaker 3: the same team.
- 16:04Speaker 1: We're all together. But yeah, no, my name is Craig,
- 16:08Speaker 1: not Chris. Let's do this. This is Frederick calling in Frederick.
- 16:11Speaker 10: What do you want to say, Well, this is Frederick.
- 16:15Speaker 10: So my comments is that at the beginning of the year,
- 16:19Speaker 10: and with the war on Iran, it looked like we
- 16:22Speaker 10: were going to have Venezuela, Iran, and Russia all fall
- 16:26Speaker 10: the same year. And then all of a sudden we're
- 16:30Speaker 10: told that the Republican Convention, we don't want to deal
- 16:33Speaker 10: with international politics when we're winning. I don't get it, guys.
- 16:40Speaker 10: I mean, if you just stuck with the fact that
- 16:42Speaker 10: no one wants to be Cuba, no one wants to
- 16:45Speaker 10: be paid four thousand dollars a year like in Russia,
- 16:48Speaker 10: and we definitely don't want to be Iranian.
- 16:50Speaker 3: No, we don't how can you not win this election?
- 16:53Speaker 1: Right? Yeah?
- 16:53Speaker 5: No?
- 16:53Speaker 3: And and how can the things that they're doing to
- 16:56Speaker 3: fight some of this craziness throughout the world not actually
- 16:59Speaker 3: be benefit to the political party and not the opposite, Frederick,
- 17:03Speaker 3: I've said this a lot about the idea that if
- 17:05Speaker 3: it was a Democrat taking on Iran, media would be
- 17:08Speaker 3: praising that democratic politician right now. But they attack Trump
- 17:12Speaker 3: for doing it because they hate Trump no matter what
- 17:14Speaker 3: he does.
- 17:16Speaker 10: My whole point is you need to put some hot
- 17:18Speaker 10: mics on our rand Ukraine and Cuba and see who
- 17:24Speaker 10: do you need to vote for Texas.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Sure well, thank you very much for the call, Frederick,
- 17:29Speaker 3: I agree with you, and again I do very much
- 17:32Speaker 3: feel that one of the oddest things happening over the
- 17:35Speaker 3: last few months, whether it is the United States standing
- 17:38Speaker 3: with Israel and fighting literal terrorism that gets funded all
- 17:42Speaker 3: throughout the world by Iran, and the way in which
- 17:45Speaker 3: that message is being received by media today compared to
- 17:50Speaker 3: if Biden had had the you know whats to actually
- 17:53Speaker 3: do that himself, or any of the Democratic politicians that
- 17:56Speaker 3: said we should take on Iran, if any of them
- 17:59Speaker 3: had the the kajone is to actually do it, we
- 18:02Speaker 3: would have seen widespread praise.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Let's do this. Let's say we got Chris callin INTWO
- 18:07Speaker 1: before we take a break. Chris, what do you want
- 18:09Speaker 1: to say?
- 18:10Speaker 6: Hey buddy, how are you?
- 18:11Speaker 10: Hey?
- 18:12Speaker 1: Chris and Spring.
- 18:13Speaker 6: Yeah, so that previous caller, what's he talking about? Putin
- 18:17Speaker 6: is not going anywhere? You're not okay?
- 18:20Speaker 3: I did not correct him on saying that Russia was
- 18:23Speaker 3: going to fall, but you are right. Out of the
- 18:25Speaker 3: three countries he mentioned, Russia was not falling anytime soon.
- 18:29Speaker 6: Not only that falling, they're gaining ground every day and
- 18:32Speaker 6: that's you know, whatever the self preservation is for that,
- 18:35Speaker 6: you know, NATO, it's not going to end well. By
- 18:38Speaker 6: the way he's used a couple of those Cage one
- 18:40Speaker 6: or two hypersonic missiles, it's pretty impressive. I don't know
- 18:43Speaker 6: why we don't have that, sech Maybe we'll get there
- 18:45Speaker 6: one day as much money as we spend on the military.
- 18:48Speaker 6: But I you know, I did want to talk about Paxton.
- 18:50Speaker 6: You know, if everyone's thinking, you like, somebody's not thinking
- 18:53Speaker 6: that was the general patents same. I'm not understanding the
- 18:58Speaker 6: hysteria right now. Have we gone that radical? In literally
- 19:03Speaker 6: two years we've we've voted for Trumps biggest election land side,
- 19:08Speaker 6: and now we're going to all of a sudden switch
- 19:10Speaker 6: because some Republicans are upset or moderates or rhinos or
- 19:14Speaker 6: independents who have no stay in the state anyway, because
- 19:17Speaker 6: we should never allow people like independence to have a
- 19:19Speaker 6: say in the state. I don't understand that.
- 19:22Speaker 3: I just not. It's not Let me ask you a
- 19:24Speaker 3: couple of things, because first, from the hypersonic missile comment,
- 19:28Speaker 3: the US has mock five missiles. We have a bunch
- 19:30Speaker 3: of them. Dark Eagle, I think is the name of
- 19:32Speaker 3: one of the weapons. It can exceed ranges of one
- 19:36Speaker 3: and twenty five miles per hour.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 19:39Speaker 3: I don't know where that came from to pretend as
- 19:41Speaker 3: though we don't have the military capability of Russia. So
- 19:44Speaker 3: I just want to address that first because it didn't
- 19:47Speaker 3: make any sense to me. Okay, But then we can
- 19:49Speaker 3: talk about the thing where I definitely agree with you, Chris,
- 19:51Speaker 3: that it's insane that people are acting as though tall
- 19:54Speaker 3: Ico's baggage or excuse me, Packson's baggage is too significant
- 19:58Speaker 3: that they would allow Talarriko to win the action. Because
- 20:01Speaker 3: it's insane for people to say that, but the US
- 20:03Speaker 3: has the same capabilities, if not more capabilities than Russia
- 20:06Speaker 3: from a military standpoint across the board.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Technologically, yeah, I.
- 20:10Speaker 6: Mean I'm not gonna well the reason why because they
- 20:13Speaker 6: both got the German the Germans that's World War Two.
- 20:15Speaker 6: But that's another conversation for another bit.
- 20:17Speaker 3: But no, but can we go back because you said
- 20:19Speaker 3: we hope to have the technology someday and that was
- 20:21Speaker 3: just a blatant lie in my opinion, we do have
- 20:23Speaker 3: that technology.
- 20:24Speaker 6: We don't we don't have We don't have hyperstonic missiles
- 20:26Speaker 6: that we're using in the battle shield right now.
- 20:28Speaker 3: We have hypersonic missiles, we're not using them. That's a
- 20:31Speaker 3: totally different thing. Saying that we don't have them is
- 20:33Speaker 3: very different than saying we're not using them, but we
- 20:36Speaker 3: do have them mock five weapons.
- 20:38Speaker 6: Why don't we Why don't we use them on Iran?
- 20:40Speaker 6: Then if we have them and ready to go.
- 20:42Speaker 3: I think part of the reason that we're not using
- 20:43Speaker 3: a lot of things on Iran is because of a
- 20:48Speaker 3: you know, weird version of somewhat being placated by mass
- 20:53Speaker 3: media's push to not go harder in the paint every
- 20:57Speaker 3: time that I think Trump says, you know, a strike
- 21:00Speaker 3: like you've never seen before. Some of those capabilities is
- 21:04Speaker 3: what he's actually talking about, a lot of people pretend
- 21:06Speaker 3: that it's just bluster, but I think it's bluster plus
- 21:10Speaker 3: the possibility of ramping up the way in which we're
- 21:13Speaker 3: attacking Iran. And every time it doesn't happen, but I
- 21:16Speaker 3: think it should happen because I think it would be
- 21:19Speaker 3: what inevitably ends this fight, and for some reason it's
- 21:22Speaker 3: not occurring. But not seeing that in Iran doesn't mean
- 21:25Speaker 3: we don't have them.
- 21:27Speaker 6: Okay, that's fair. But as much money as we spend
- 21:31Speaker 6: on this military every year, every decade, I mean, if
- 21:36Speaker 6: we don't have the capability to take Iran, then we
- 21:39Speaker 6: need to cut back that spending and prioritize elsewhere, because
- 21:43Speaker 6: what is the purpose of spending that much money. We
- 21:46Speaker 6: spend more than Russia, China, France, Germany, all of them combine,
- 21:50Speaker 6: and then some. So Yeah, I don't I just I
- 21:55Speaker 6: don't know, and I.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Don't know that we can't defeat Ron right now. I
- 22:01Speaker 3: think that there's some choices we're making that allow this
- 22:04Speaker 3: to take longer than it should. And I like you,
- 22:07Speaker 3: and you've said it before, and I've heard it before.
- 22:09Speaker 3: I am confused as to why it's not over yet,
- 22:12Speaker 3: and I think we have the capability to end it.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Sure.
- 22:15Speaker 6: That's even more perplexing, is this pass and narrative. You know,
- 22:18Speaker 6: unless the polling is just egregious, which I mean, I
- 22:21Speaker 6: don't have any insight to that, but you know, maybe
- 22:26Speaker 6: greg Ada can get on his stool and maybe endorse
- 22:28Speaker 6: them or support them a little bit in the Senate.
- 22:30Speaker 7: Governor.
- 22:30Speaker 6: I mean, let's start locally and then we'll spread out
- 22:33Speaker 6: the Trump and everything. But yeah, I'm not too worried.
- 22:36Speaker 3: I do well, I know you're not, and I do
- 22:38Speaker 3: think that part of what's actually happening within the party
- 22:40Speaker 3: is something that I agreed with you on up until
- 22:43Speaker 3: like a week ago, which was that Tallerico just can't
- 22:45Speaker 3: win the state of Texas. That when you get to
- 22:49Speaker 3: the point where people are voting in November, if enough
- 22:52Speaker 3: people are even remotely aware of some of the positions
- 22:54Speaker 3: he has on a wide variety of topics, he can't win.
- 22:58Speaker 3: And it's the same conversation that was happening with better
- 23:01Speaker 3: work a few years ago that we saw fail. However,
- 23:05Speaker 3: all of the pulling that I normally dismiss and then
- 23:08Speaker 3: my own personal experience at a rally for Paxton leads
- 23:11Speaker 3: me to believe that it's going to be a relatively
- 23:14Speaker 3: close race, which in and of itself is shocking because
- 23:17Speaker 3: Tallarico is far too radical and to the left for
- 23:21Speaker 3: me to think that he should lose by just a
- 23:22Speaker 3: point or two.
- 23:25Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 23:25Speaker 6: The other thing, I think there is a tool that'
- 23:27Speaker 6: said like thirty nine or he's underwater. Paxton on the independence,
- 23:32Speaker 6: first of all, that's wonderful and fine. If you're an independent,
- 23:36Speaker 6: what do you exactly stand for? You need to stand
- 23:39Speaker 6: for something, especially in Texas. Are you really going to
- 23:42Speaker 6: give You're going to give these people, the psychopaths, for sure,
- 23:46Speaker 6: a stay in this state. Everything is this state is
- 23:50Speaker 6: growing and growing and growing and growing and growing. And
- 23:53Speaker 6: guess what the government in Austin they have a surplus,
- 23:57Speaker 6: unlike Harris County, in Dallas County, Travis County. Sure, what
- 24:01Speaker 6: are these people thinking?
- 24:02Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 24:04Speaker 3: And it's funny that you say that, because part of
- 24:05Speaker 3: what I think about Chris when I when I hear
- 24:07Speaker 3: you say that, thank you very much for the call,
- 24:09Speaker 3: And I, you know, like the fact that I can
- 24:11Speaker 3: challenge you and that you don't mind the challenge at
- 24:13Speaker 3: all on some of the topics we talk about. And
- 24:17Speaker 3: tall Rico, I think was leading by twenty three points
- 24:19Speaker 3: according to Fox twenty six with independence. But I agree
- 24:23Speaker 3: with with Chris and Spring. I don't even know if
- 24:27Speaker 3: there really are that many independence in Texas, Like I know,
- 24:29Speaker 3: polling is going to claim that a lot of them exist,
- 24:32Speaker 3: But if you talk to someone that describes himself as independent,
- 24:35Speaker 3: especially here, you can figure out what side they're on,
- 24:38Speaker 3: and it only takes like three questions.
- 24:41Speaker 1: To figure out if they're on the right or the left.
- 24:43Speaker 3: So I kind of feel like the independent discussion is
- 24:45Speaker 3: just dumb because I really don't believe that there's a
- 24:49Speaker 3: lot of people that would weigh tall Rico and Paxton
- 24:53Speaker 3: in a similar way, be like, well, I don't know
- 24:55Speaker 3: which one of these two guys I'm going to vote
- 24:57Speaker 3: for because one is in credibly radically to the left
- 25:01Speaker 3: the other one.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I guess.
- 25:02Speaker 3: One of the controversies about Paxston is that he's been
- 25:05Speaker 3: very efficient as far as an attorney general goes in
- 25:08Speaker 3: supporting many of the things that Trump has wanted to
- 25:11Speaker 3: see done, or fighting the lunatic left when it was
- 25:14Speaker 3: Biden or someone else in charge. So Paxton has certainly
- 25:17Speaker 3: been further to the right than a rhino like Cornyn is.
- 25:20Speaker 3: I still don't consider him radically to the right, But
- 25:23Speaker 3: I just can't imagine that there's people in the middle that, like,
- 25:27Speaker 3: you know, wigh those two individuals and see them both similarly.
- 25:30Speaker 3: I don't think we're in a society where that exists.
- 25:32Speaker 3: A Rusty has called into the show too. I'm getting
- 25:34Speaker 3: a lot of calls how to start the show today?
- 25:38Speaker 1: Thanks, Rusty Craig. How are you doing, buddy?
- 25:44Speaker 12: They you know Paxton he's got one thing going against you,
- 25:49Speaker 12: He's he just looks like a loser to me. Yeah,
- 25:53Speaker 12: I mean his business employees. Yeah, him into the FBI.
- 25:58Speaker 3: Right, you're saying that the thing you don't like about
- 26:01Speaker 3: Paxston is the way that he physically looks, or you're
- 26:03Speaker 3: trying to make a joke that sounded like that.
- 26:07Speaker 12: Oh no, he he had a long time extra marital affairs.
- 26:11Speaker 12: I'm awareorious, I think.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Okay, does do you think I'm just genuinely asking this?
- 26:19Speaker 3: I'm not someone who's supporting extra marital affairs, but.
- 26:22Speaker 12: Do you think that impacts hold on?
- 26:26Speaker 11: All?
- 26:26Speaker 5: Right?
- 26:26Speaker 1: I want to ask a question.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Do you think that his the accusations of an extra
- 26:30Speaker 3: merial affair make him any less of a valuable politician? Meaning,
- 26:34Speaker 3: do you think it makes him any less capable of
- 26:36Speaker 3: doing the political job that he's running for?
- 26:41Speaker 12: You mean, can I separate the two?
- 26:44Speaker 3: Do you think that his personal life impacts his ability
- 26:47Speaker 3: to do the job of being a US senator?
- 26:50Speaker 12: Well, you know, deep down, everybody's got a personal life,
- 26:54Speaker 12: so you know they're going to do what they're gonna do.
- 26:57Speaker 3: I just I just was looking for a yes or no.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Do you think that regard wardless of his personal life,
- 27:01Speaker 3: that he could do the job of being a US
- 27:03Speaker 3: senator even if you don't like the way he do it?
- 27:06Speaker 3: You don't think that his the accusations of his extra
- 27:09Speaker 3: marital affair and the fact that he's no longer in
- 27:11Speaker 3: a marriage would actually impact his ability to be a senator? Well?
- 27:18Speaker 12: Just you know, as a commitments Okay, stand behind right,
- 27:25Speaker 12: But you're.
- 27:29Speaker 1: So you think that his personal life makes him incapable
- 27:31Speaker 1: of being a senator. So you're saying.
- 27:33Speaker 12: Because he because his business partners were turned him into
- 27:37Speaker 12: the FBI.
- 27:38Speaker 3: So then I can go down the list of all
- 27:40Speaker 3: the Democrats who have terrible personal lives that I bet
- 27:43Speaker 3: you voted for, and ask you why it's it's hypocritical
- 27:46Speaker 3: of you to say that it's incapable of being something
- 27:49Speaker 3: for Paxton to successfully do, but a bunch of Democrats.
- 27:53Speaker 12: I'm agreeing with you, Kin, it's going to be easy
- 27:55Speaker 12: to vote for Tallery code. Why is it running away
- 27:58Speaker 12: from Trump and accident?
- 28:03Speaker 3: I'm I want to Rusty. I really appreciate that you
- 28:05Speaker 3: call the radio station.
- 28:06Speaker 1: I know you.
- 28:07Speaker 3: I disagree on a lot of stuff. I'm gonna I'm
- 28:08Speaker 3: gonna try something with you. Is God non binary?
- 28:15Speaker 12: I wouldn't know personally, I mean in your in.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Your own opinion. Do you think God is non binary?
- 28:26Speaker 12: God?
- 28:27Speaker 1: Okay?
- 28:28Speaker 3: Do you think the story of Mary demonstrates that abortion
- 28:31Speaker 3: should be legal throughout the country?
- 28:34Speaker 12: Well, I'll go back to the other What is non binary?
- 28:37Speaker 1: No?
- 28:37Speaker 4: No, no, I want to.
- 28:38Speaker 1: I want to do these.
- 28:38Speaker 3: I want to do these one at a time because
- 28:40Speaker 3: these are all positions. It's fine, these are all positions
- 28:44Speaker 3: in tallarycause I disagree with you. I don't think God
- 28:46Speaker 3: is not binary. Do you think the story of Mary
- 28:49Speaker 3: demonstrates that abortion should be something that's legal and allowed
- 28:52Speaker 3: throughout the country. Tall Rico has said that do you
- 28:58Speaker 3: think that that's true? No, okay, you don't think that
- 29:02Speaker 3: that's true. Do you think that our southern border do
- 29:05Speaker 3: you think that our southern borders.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Should be wide open and have a welcome.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Mat at the at the ground level, so anybody that
- 29:12Speaker 3: wants to come in can come in. Do you think
- 29:13Speaker 3: that that's a thing that we should have.
- 29:16Speaker 12: You mean, go back to that.
- 29:18Speaker 1: I know I'm doing.
- 29:19Speaker 3: I'm doing every position tall Rico is taking. Well no here,
- 29:24Speaker 3: all right, So if you were willing to say yes
- 29:27Speaker 3: or no to my questions, this is what would happen, Rusty.
- 29:29Speaker 3: I would demonstrate to you and the audience that tall
- 29:32Speaker 3: Rico does not believe in things that every day Texans
- 29:37Speaker 3: believe in, even on the Democratic side of the aisle.
- 29:39Speaker 3: He is antithetical to many of the beliefs of everyday
- 29:44Speaker 3: people who live in this state. And that's a problem
- 29:47Speaker 3: in electing someone. And there's so many more here we'll
- 29:50Speaker 3: bring Rusty back on. Do you think that transgender men
- 29:54Speaker 3: need birth control pills and need to be treated with
- 29:59Speaker 3: you know, any sort of abortion type of medical treatment,
- 30:02Speaker 3: biological mood?
- 30:04Speaker 12: Okay, if they're transgender and I still have a paenist,
- 30:08Speaker 12: then they should be.
- 30:10Speaker 3: There's no way to build and have a baby. There's
- 30:13Speaker 3: no way to do it. Tall Rico has said that
- 30:16Speaker 3: he thinks that transgender women who are biological men need
- 30:20Speaker 3: to have the same birth control, you know, abortion types
- 30:24Speaker 3: of healthcare that women have, which would be a blatant
- 30:28Speaker 3: waste of money. But that is one of many positions
- 30:31Speaker 3: that tall Rico has had that is just extremely to
- 30:33Speaker 3: the left.
- 30:34Speaker 12: Have you ever heard the word bush? Have you ever
- 30:36Speaker 12: grown up with a girl and she was kind of
- 30:39Speaker 12: a tomboy?
- 30:39Speaker 3: And no, all right, I'm gonna let you go because
- 30:43Speaker 3: I don't know where that's going, and I don't I
- 30:44Speaker 3: don't want to get fined by the FCC rusty. But here,
- 30:47Speaker 3: let me say it this way, because I think it matters.
- 30:50Speaker 3: I think there are a lot of people. I don't
- 30:53Speaker 3: think that as many of them live in Texas as
- 30:55Speaker 3: mainstream media wants us to believe live in the state.
- 30:57Speaker 3: But I think there's a lot of people throughout the
- 30:59Speaker 3: country who just want to vote against Trump. And I
- 31:02Speaker 3: think part of the Democratic Socialists of America actually having
- 31:06Speaker 3: potential success when they say things that Bill Maher can admit,
- 31:11Speaker 3: are absolutely insane. Bill Maher even went off on Fauci
- 31:15Speaker 3: the other day, which I thought was amazing, and that's
- 31:17Speaker 3: still somehow a contentious discussion between the right and the left,
- 31:20Speaker 3: even though Fauci, who has a pardon, you know, pled
- 31:24Speaker 3: the fifth one hundred and eleven times when being asked
- 31:27Speaker 3: simplistic questions like is the carpet a certain color. What's
- 31:31Speaker 3: so crazy about all of this is that the only
- 31:34Speaker 3: reason that some of these candidates might succeed is that
- 31:37Speaker 3: media has successfully convinced that side of the aisle, the
- 31:40Speaker 3: side that they cater to, that Trump is an evil
- 31:44Speaker 3: that needs to be fought by anybody that you should actually,
- 31:47Speaker 3: you know, nominate a shoebox into a position of power,
- 31:51Speaker 3: or someone who believes that everything that is America.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Should go away.
- 31:55Speaker 3: They're anti capitalism, they're anti you know, anything that made
- 32:00Speaker 3: us what we are. They want to do away with
- 32:02Speaker 3: the Senate, they want to do away with the President,
- 32:04Speaker 3: they want to do away with cops. These are crazy positions,
- 32:08Speaker 3: and most people can admit, if they're not trying to
- 32:11Speaker 3: win a political argument, but just being a rational, honest person,
- 32:15Speaker 3: that these don't these positions don't make sense to them
- 32:18Speaker 3: or to anybody else. And I think that's the problem
- 32:20Speaker 3: we have right now, is that there's a lot of
- 32:22Speaker 3: people who want to argue an argument from the side
- 32:25Speaker 3: of but Trump did this instead of actually looking at
- 32:28Speaker 3: the thing being said by the people that are running
- 32:31Speaker 3: on the opposite side of the aisle and saying, do
- 32:34Speaker 3: I believe that stuff?
- 32:35Speaker 1: Do I actually agree.
- 32:36Speaker 3: With people in these positions because you don't, and you
- 32:40Speaker 3: know you don't. And yet some people out there, and
- 32:43Speaker 3: again I don't think as many in Texas as the
- 32:46Speaker 3: mainstream media narrative wants us to believe exist here, actually
- 32:49Speaker 3: are going to vote for people they categorically disagree with
- 32:53Speaker 3: on very simplistic positions, like ownership of land. That's another
- 32:58Speaker 3: one of my favorite ones from the DSA. They think
- 33:00Speaker 3: private property should be done away with, essentially meeting the
- 33:03Speaker 3: government controls all of property and they decide who gets
- 33:06Speaker 3: it and who doesn't. So no matter how much money
- 33:09Speaker 3: you have, you cannot buy it. And if you already
- 33:11Speaker 3: own property, it's going to be taken away from you.
- 33:14Speaker 3: These are horrible positions, and yet people are likely to
- 33:17Speaker 3: vote people that think these things into power because they
- 33:20Speaker 3: think they're taking a shot at Trump, and it's just
- 33:23Speaker 3: it's surreal to me that we've gotten here. We're forty
- 33:26Speaker 3: minutes into the show. I have not taken a break yet,
- 33:29Speaker 3: so I'm going to take a quick break. Phil is
- 33:32Speaker 3: answering the phone so he doesn't have to worry about this.
- 33:34Speaker 3: I'll play the break from my computer, so you don't
- 33:36Speaker 3: have to worry about anything. Phil, just keep answering the phone.
- 33:38Speaker 3: We are getting a lot of calls. You can call
- 33:40Speaker 3: and be a part of the show. I don't give
- 33:42Speaker 3: the phone number out a lot, but I don't I'm
- 33:44Speaker 3: not anti phone calls. Two eight one five, five eight,
- 33:47Speaker 3: five seven three eight two eight one five five eight
- 33:50Speaker 3: five seven three eight. I just don't really prep a
- 33:52Speaker 3: show that depends on calls. I mean, I don't think
- 33:55Speaker 3: anybody else does. But I really prep a show where
- 33:57Speaker 3: I assume I'm just going to do the talking. But
- 34:00Speaker 3: if you want to call in and be a part
- 34:01Speaker 3: of it, you absolutely can. You want to take you
- 34:03Speaker 3: want me to take this car? I fine, I'll take
- 34:05Speaker 3: this call first and then uh, actually Phil will play
- 34:08Speaker 3: the break, but first we'll take the caller, Mark, What
- 34:11Speaker 3: would you want to say.
- 34:12Speaker 9: Mark, Hey, Craig, what's going on, sir?
- 34:15Speaker 1: Not much? How you doing?
- 34:17Speaker 9: Good? Sir? Did Chris that perhaps you on Rusty the
- 34:22Speaker 9: Rusty Cage?
- 34:23Speaker 1: I do know.
- 34:23Speaker 3: He's called the show enough times that I know I
- 34:25Speaker 3: know him and I know what he says, what he does.
- 34:28Speaker 9: He has to call it Chris on a long time
- 34:29Speaker 9: because I think Chris just wore his ass out. I
- 34:34Speaker 9: think I think Rusty Rusty eight crayons as a child. Yeah,
- 34:38Speaker 9: he done it all with it. You know the fact
- 34:43Speaker 9: that what and I understand where he's going. He goes,
- 34:46Speaker 9: do you know a girl who's the butcher? And do
- 34:48Speaker 9: you know what? I grew up with a girl who's
- 34:50Speaker 9: the tomboys.
- 34:51Speaker 3: That's fine, you know what, I know, I know what
- 34:53Speaker 3: tom boys.
- 34:55Speaker 9: He's still done by the female. He's like a good
- 34:57Speaker 9: boys and it did everything like she's played with dolls,
- 35:01Speaker 9: but she still identified herself as a female. So that's
- 35:04Speaker 9: that's the time boys said. It's okay, but you know
- 35:07Speaker 9: what I mean, I mean, it is what it is.
- 35:10Speaker 11: And so that's but.
- 35:14Speaker 9: As far as I was listening to Michael Berry earlier today,
- 35:21Speaker 9: never heard of it.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Never heard of Michael Berry. No, I'm kidding, Go ahead.
- 35:25Speaker 7: I know, I know.
- 35:25Speaker 9: I'm sorry. I'm sorry to mention.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Good guys show continue.
- 35:33Speaker 9: Well, I mean, the problem is that that's the thing
- 35:35Speaker 9: is that I mean, we all, I mean, I know,
- 35:38Speaker 9: I know a lot of your listeners listen to him
- 35:39Speaker 9: in the morning, and it all depends on when y'all
- 35:41Speaker 9: come on in the day. So, but he had he
- 35:46Speaker 9: had passed it on. And he he used a lot
- 35:49Speaker 9: of money to speak Corning, which took a lot of
- 35:51Speaker 9: money to see cornying, and and and he didn't defeat
- 35:54Speaker 9: just to feat Corning. He killed it. He didn't just
- 35:57Speaker 9: barely speak Corning. He killed it. So people got to realize.
- 36:00Speaker 9: And I understand what Bis Screws is saying. I said, yes,
- 36:02Speaker 9: we all need to wake up. I said, uh, well not.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Hold on, Mark. Yeah.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Let me ask you a question, though, Mark, because I'm
- 36:10Speaker 3: curious about something. Do you think that Paxton would have
- 36:13Speaker 3: done as well against Cornan without Trump's endorsement. I'm not
- 36:17Speaker 3: saying I I firmly believe Paxton would have won anyway,
- 36:21Speaker 3: but I don't think it would have been the the
- 36:24Speaker 3: demonstration of the end of a career that Cornyn's career
- 36:27Speaker 3: became with how badly he lost to Paxton without Trump's endorsement.
- 36:33Speaker 9: I believe that that Paxton would have won without Trump's dodorsement.
- 36:36Speaker 1: But do you think it would have been as resounding
- 36:38Speaker 1: of a win.
- 36:40Speaker 9: Uh, That's it's hard to call. It's hard to call.
- 36:43Speaker 9: But as of right now, you got a lot of
- 36:45Speaker 9: people that that what that were on the side of
- 36:47Speaker 9: prosekut Paxston five years ago. Sure there's important Paxtan now
- 36:51Speaker 9: because they realized how serious this is. So that's what
- 36:54Speaker 9: people got to realize, is that you got a lot
- 36:56Speaker 9: of people that that that want to prosecute Cordons for
- 36:59Speaker 9: the proscute paston for the same things they do for
- 37:02Speaker 9: Donald Trump. Right is that's I mean, they're coming out.
- 37:07Speaker 9: They understand the difference. So so that's what people got
- 37:10Speaker 9: to realize. I said, look, relaxed people, let it play out.
- 37:13Speaker 9: I said, you know, remember in twenty twenty two, we're
- 37:15Speaker 9: so said this huge red waves going across and it
- 37:18Speaker 9: was just a trickle.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:20Speaker 9: So I don't trust I don't trust Poles. I trust
- 37:23Speaker 9: people getting out there. And and just because I said
- 37:28Speaker 9: to the fact that that Ted Cruz, dep Dabid Dewhurst
- 37:30Speaker 9: and David de Harris had a war chest like Governor
- 37:34Speaker 9: Abbot did, sure and sed Cruse still pulled it out
- 37:36Speaker 9: of one.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. O. Fair enough.
- 37:39Speaker 9: We all have got realize is that all if the different.
- 37:43Speaker 9: If the Republicans lose, it's their own fault because it
- 37:47Speaker 9: goes back to uh Governor Perry trying to promote all
- 37:51Speaker 9: these California businesses inside saying that going we want y'all here,
- 37:54Speaker 9: we want y'all here, will chall here. I said, you
- 37:57Speaker 9: don't know how they're gonna vote. You do not know
- 37:59Speaker 9: how they're gonna vot.
- 38:00Speaker 1: That's true.
- 38:00Speaker 9: They want the business here, they want to they liked
- 38:02Speaker 9: to taxes, know Texes, but they don't understand where they're
- 38:05Speaker 9: target heads that you're leaving something and you want to
- 38:08Speaker 9: create here in Texas. And if they lose it, it
- 38:11Speaker 9: could be a California people over here voting for a
- 38:15Speaker 9: Democrat because they don't know anything different.
- 38:17Speaker 1: That's a great point. Thank you very much for the call. Mark.
- 38:19Speaker 3: You're absolutely right to put more blame on Rick Perry
- 38:23Speaker 3: in the way in which he encouraged people to move
- 38:26Speaker 3: from very liberal places and then a lot of these
- 38:29Speaker 3: same liberal places like California and Illinois where I moved
- 38:32Speaker 3: from also are very much discouraging these successful businesses from Steak.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Caterpillar is a great example.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Caterpillar is a company that was for a long time
- 38:42Speaker 3: headquartered in more rural Illinois and then moved closer to Chicago,
- 38:46Speaker 3: Illinois and now is headquartered in Texas. Because it was
- 38:50Speaker 3: horrible as far as the way that Illinois treated that company,
- 38:54Speaker 3: and how much more willing Texas was to make things
- 38:57Speaker 3: fair for a company as successful and bigg as ata Pillar.
- 39:01Speaker 3: And to Mark's point, people come with these companies, and
- 39:05Speaker 3: some of these people who live in these other places
- 39:07Speaker 3: might not believe the same thing that we all believe.
- 39:10Speaker 3: And also this is true that when you let a
- 39:12Speaker 3: whole bunch of people in illegally and some of those
- 39:14Speaker 3: people wind up finding some sort of legal means to stay,
- 39:17Speaker 3: they might also change the outcome of an election. That's
- 39:20Speaker 3: a real thing that gets talked about a lot. I
- 39:22Speaker 3: don't know if it's as significant as people make it
- 39:24Speaker 3: out to be, but it's real. And so all those
- 39:26Speaker 3: things together, the question becomes has Texas changed? And my
- 39:31Speaker 3: own personal experience living here for over a year now
- 39:34Speaker 3: and living in one of the most liberal cities that
- 39:37Speaker 3: exists in Texas As.
- 39:38Speaker 1: It hasn't changed.
- 39:39Speaker 3: It is by and large the same politically as I
- 39:42Speaker 3: thought it was from Afar, which is fairly conservative. And
- 39:46Speaker 3: there's just a lot of things that that Taller Rico
- 39:48Speaker 3: simply believes that the average Texan doesn't. And if you
- 39:52Speaker 3: face those thoughts, if you address those issues, the average
- 39:57Speaker 3: Texan I think, can no longer vote for tall Rico.
- 40:00Speaker 3: We got to take a break. We went way too
- 40:01Speaker 3: long there. Producer Phil is going to hit the brake
- 40:04Speaker 3: for us. We're going to take a break. Play all
- 40:06Speaker 3: the commerce, whatever commercials we have, just play it all
- 40:08Speaker 3: in this break. This is the Craig Collins Show KSSEV.
- 40:12Speaker 3: This is the Craig Collins Show KSCV, the Voice of Texas.
- 40:15Speaker 3: I just got a message from a listener that said
- 40:17Speaker 3: that the new app, which I don't mean to brag about. Phil,
- 40:21Speaker 3: I did make the app, and I feel like this
- 40:22Speaker 3: is a little bit too much of patting myself on
- 40:24Speaker 3: the back to talk about this on the radio. But
- 40:26Speaker 3: the new app allow and now Phil is trying to
- 40:28Speaker 3: pat me on the back from far. It allows you
- 40:30Speaker 3: to call in the app, so as you're listening to
- 40:33Speaker 3: the show, the button directly under like Listen Live says
- 40:37Speaker 3: call the show. You just click the button and it
- 40:38Speaker 3: calls it. And somebody was like, man, that's why you're
- 40:41Speaker 3: getting so many.
- 40:41Speaker 1: Calls, dude.
- 40:42Speaker 3: Is that the app allows you to call this station
- 40:46Speaker 3: more easily than having to dial the number, which feels
- 40:49Speaker 3: like it's not that much more challenging.
- 40:51Speaker 1: But I don't know.
- 40:51Speaker 3: Maybe people who are listening are like, man, I should
- 40:53Speaker 3: call the show, and then they just see the button.
- 40:55Speaker 3: But thank it everybody who called in and participated in
- 40:58Speaker 3: the show. Today probably the most calls I've ever gotten
- 41:01Speaker 3: on this time slot from six to seven o'clock at night,
- 41:05Speaker 3: and so I have a bunch of stuff I wanted
- 41:07Speaker 3: to play still and we only have like ten minutes
- 41:09Speaker 3: left to do it, So fastest show in all the
- 41:11Speaker 3: radio I got even faster. Hillary Clinton called President Trump
- 41:16Speaker 3: Saddam Hussein. It's a real thing that happened. So I
- 41:18Speaker 3: know that Hillary Clinton's voice even annoys some people a
- 41:21Speaker 3: whole lot.
- 41:22Speaker 1: But I did want to play part.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Of this because this is the radical left, and it's
- 41:26Speaker 3: radical rhetoric that they seem to be totally fine with
- 41:30Speaker 3: as long as it's anti Trump, which is it seems
- 41:33Speaker 3: the only goal.
- 41:34Speaker 4: I think they'll have to be some You'll probably have
- 41:38Speaker 4: to take down the arch, which he is determined to
- 41:42Speaker 4: put up, which I think is just just a terrible idea.
- 41:46Speaker 4: I think we'll have to worry about what's wrong with
- 41:48Speaker 4: the art they're reflecting pool because it's not going to
- 41:50Speaker 4: be fixed by the time he leaves, assuming he leaves,
- 41:53Speaker 4: So there's.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Going to be a long list.
- 41:55Speaker 4: I'm making a list. Are you going to de goold
- 41:58Speaker 4: the horses?
- 41:59Speaker 1: The gold horses? Take down? Have you seen him on
- 42:02Speaker 1: l Okay?
- 42:03Speaker 3: This is so stupid, by the way, I'm so annoyed
- 42:06Speaker 3: by so much of this, because the back and forth
- 42:08Speaker 3: about how like this is.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Bad and Trump's bad.
- 42:11Speaker 3: Here and the arch is terrible, the arches is stupid.
- 42:16Speaker 1: But I don't have a problem with it at all.
- 42:18Speaker 1: I think it's fine.
- 42:19Speaker 3: And I think if I went and saw it once
- 42:21Speaker 3: it's completed in DC and like, looks all fancy, I'll
- 42:23Speaker 3: actually be happy that it's there, much like any other
- 42:26Speaker 3: monument in DC.
- 42:27Speaker 1: But continue, Hillary Clinton, if you're here to the.
- 42:29Speaker 4: Fall of Saddam Hussein. I had meetings. I was then
- 42:33Speaker 4: a senator. I had meetings in some of his palaces,
- 42:37Speaker 4: and they were quite reminiscent of what we are seeing
- 42:41Speaker 4: in our own White House.
- 42:42Speaker 3: It's just this is beyond stupid to hear her say
- 42:46Speaker 3: that she thinks that the types of things being created
- 42:49Speaker 3: by Trump are similar to the palaces that Saddam Hussein
- 42:52Speaker 3: ad before he hid in, you know, soil in order
- 42:55Speaker 3: to run away from us. Every part of this is
- 42:59Speaker 3: ridiculous to me because it's narrative fulfilling and not based
- 43:03Speaker 3: in factor, logic or truth. It's behaving as though the ballroom,
- 43:08Speaker 3: which a bunch of people admit we absolutely need, is
- 43:11Speaker 3: the same thing as a dictator having his own ballats,
- 43:14Speaker 3: which it's just not. And one other thing, I do
- 43:16Speaker 3: want to play, and we have very little time left
- 43:17Speaker 3: to do it because I also want to do some
- 43:19Speaker 3: silly stuff.
- 43:19Speaker 1: Before we get out of here.
- 43:20Speaker 3: But Nancy Pelosi saying how big the tent is for
- 43:23Speaker 3: Democrats and claiming that, you know, all these DSA Democratic
- 43:28Speaker 3: Socialists of America are very welcome in the party.
- 43:31Speaker 5: So when you want to talk about differences that we have,
- 43:35Speaker 5: we have differences. It's a big tent. I've always said
- 43:39Speaker 5: I'd rather not be in charge of the party that
- 43:42Speaker 5: is lockstep this way. No, we have our diversity of opinion.
- 43:45Speaker 5: We represent different districts.
- 43:48Speaker 3: Okay, the diversity of opinion on the Republican side of
- 43:51Speaker 3: the aisle is very different than the diversity of opinion
- 43:54Speaker 3: that exists on the left. The left is talking about,
- 43:56Speaker 3: as I said, abolishing the Presidency, the Senate, in some cases,
- 44:00Speaker 3: the House. Most of the things the founding fathers created
- 44:04Speaker 3: personal property, which is one of my favorites that gets
- 44:07Speaker 3: talked about less than it should. The DSA wants to
- 44:10Speaker 3: do away with personal property, which seems bad. That seems
- 44:14Speaker 3: like a bad plan. They want to have things like
- 44:16Speaker 3: the government funded grocery stores in New York that are
- 44:19Speaker 3: going to bankrupt mom and pop versions of those stores
- 44:22Speaker 3: by being twenty percent cheaper than they could possibly be
- 44:25Speaker 3: and like willfully losing money. But the DSA believes in
- 44:28Speaker 3: a myriad of things that are uniquely stupid and Unamerican.
- 44:32Speaker 3: And they also hate capitalism, which seems to have done
- 44:35Speaker 3: pretty well in the world of the United States being
- 44:37Speaker 3: at the forefront of so many things they're at the
- 44:40Speaker 3: forefront of. So it's just it's ridiculous to have a
- 44:44Speaker 3: series of conversations about a wide variety of topics where
- 44:48Speaker 3: insane thing gets set, gets set again and again, and
- 44:51Speaker 3: then someone like Nancy Pelosi, who eventually is going to
- 44:54Speaker 3: want the Democratic Socialists to shut up, but for now,
- 44:57Speaker 3: if they can win some primaries and then event wins
- 45:00Speaker 3: some midterm elections, she wants them to say crazy stuff.
- 45:04Speaker 3: But then once they get elected, if they do, she
- 45:07Speaker 3: will be part of the machine that tries to silence
- 45:08Speaker 3: them and shove them into the corner, the same way
- 45:11Speaker 3: that she shoved a broken brain Joe Biden into a
- 45:14Speaker 3: closet and then allowed a Kamala Harris to run without
- 45:17Speaker 3: getting a single primary vote. All of those things are
- 45:20Speaker 3: just things that categorically show how corrupt and awful and
- 45:23Speaker 3: terrible that side is. And yet they're the side right
- 45:27Speaker 3: now claiming that their tent is big and that they're
- 45:29Speaker 3: willing to accept anybody because they just want to win.
- 45:33Speaker 3: And then they'll figure out the other stuff later, all right,
- 45:36Speaker 3: before we get out of here, at least from a
- 45:39Speaker 3: silly point of view.
- 45:40Speaker 1: There's something I saw.
- 45:41Speaker 3: That I didn't want to play that I liked, and
- 45:44Speaker 3: I guess I like this and it's a very dumb thing,
- 45:47Speaker 3: but because it makes me feel better about how I
- 45:50Speaker 3: got married or how anybody got married, because you probably
- 45:53Speaker 3: did better than these people. Although they are longtime workers
- 45:56Speaker 3: at a McDonald's, two coworkers got married inside the restaurant
- 46:01Speaker 3: that they work at. Jamie and George are the names
- 46:04Speaker 3: of the two people that got married there. I think
- 46:06Speaker 3: there's some audio that's gone viral as far as the
- 46:08Speaker 3: story is concerned.
- 46:09Speaker 11: I actually moved to Akron shortly after that and applied
- 46:13Speaker 11: here as well, and ended up working right alongside George.
- 46:17Speaker 11: We opened together five days a week. As of right now,
- 46:20Speaker 11: I'm actually now training to be a manager here, so oh,
- 46:23Speaker 11: my schedule is changing.
- 46:24Speaker 10: A little bit.
- 46:25Speaker 11: But he is a regular opener at this store.
- 46:27Speaker 3: That's Jamie who got married to George and will also
- 46:30Speaker 3: be his boss now. But they got married inside of McDonald's. Look,
- 46:34Speaker 3: I do whatever you want. Everybody get married their own way.
- 46:37Speaker 3: I'm happy that I paid for my own wedding with
- 46:39Speaker 3: my wife in Mexico and we got married there. However,
- 46:43Speaker 3: I will tell you that one of my favorite memories
- 46:46Speaker 3: of something that didn't involve me, but it was something
- 46:49Speaker 3: early on that I did in my career as a broadcaster.
- 46:53Speaker 1: I was a public address.
- 46:54Speaker 3: Announcer for the South Bend Silverhawks, who are now known
- 46:58Speaker 3: as the South Ben Cubs, affiliate of the Chicago Cubs
- 47:01Speaker 3: in South Bend, Indiana, and I did a wedding from
- 47:04Speaker 3: the PA booth of a minor league baseball stadium. So
- 47:08Speaker 3: they asked me the PA guy to like yell people's
- 47:11Speaker 3: names like I was doing a starting lineup as they
- 47:13Speaker 3: ran out onto the field and then got married and
- 47:16Speaker 3: then had a reception in one of the press boxes
- 47:18Speaker 3: and some of the other fancy areas at the establishment.
- 47:21Speaker 3: It's one of the most ridiculous things I ever did
- 47:23Speaker 3: in the world of media. And it was so fun
- 47:28Speaker 3: to watch the excitement of these people get married at
- 47:31Speaker 3: a single a ballpark in South Bend that I never
- 47:34Speaker 3: would actually do myself, Like, no judgment, I wouldn't go
- 47:37Speaker 3: that road. I'd at least shoot for Triple A, maybe
- 47:40Speaker 3: a major league ballpark if I had a shot at it.
- 47:43Speaker 3: But now they did it there, and they had a
- 47:45Speaker 3: good time, and they seem to enjoy how ridiculously I
- 47:48Speaker 3: yelled their names, and so there's something kind of funny
- 47:50Speaker 3: about that. And you see these sort of things go
- 47:52Speaker 3: viral all the time in the world of like a date,
- 47:55Speaker 3: someone takes somebody on to White Castle. There's no white
- 47:58Speaker 3: castles in Texas? Right, do we have white Castle at
- 48:01Speaker 3: all here?
- 48:03Speaker 1: Do you know what? You know what it is? You
- 48:07Speaker 1: know you know what it is though?
- 48:08Speaker 12: Right?
- 48:09Speaker 3: Is it because of the movie the Harold and Kumar
- 48:11Speaker 3: go to White Cat That's why White Castle is pretty good.
- 48:15Speaker 3: It's a little slider cheeseburger. By the way, I'm gonna
- 48:18Speaker 3: say one last thing. It's just in my brain right now.
- 48:21Speaker 3: I went to the Prime Burger place today and Beck's Prime.
- 48:28Speaker 1: It is really good.
- 48:30Speaker 3: Beck's Prime is much better than what a Burger. I'm
- 48:34Speaker 3: just throwing it out there. That's a controversial take with
- 48:37Speaker 3: two minutes left where listeners can't call in. Beck's Prime,
- 48:41Speaker 3: which I'm pretty sure is specific to Houston as well,
- 48:45Speaker 3: is just fundamentally better then, like everything about it is
- 48:50Speaker 3: better than what a Burger that I don't even think
- 48:53Speaker 3: they're in the same league as far as and I
- 48:55Speaker 3: know that that's crazy to say. And I love that
- 48:58Speaker 3: the show's about the end because nobody can get mad
- 49:00Speaker 3: me for saying this. What a Burger is fine, but
- 49:03Speaker 3: it's to me kind of typical fast food burger, Like
- 49:07Speaker 3: it might be a little bit better than some of
- 49:09Speaker 3: the other guys. Beck's Prime, and the guys even told
- 49:12Speaker 3: me to shout him out on the radio. So I'm
- 49:14Speaker 3: doing this even though they didn't cut me a discount
- 49:16Speaker 3: on my burger at all.
- 49:17Speaker 1: I paid full price.
- 49:18Speaker 3: But they're really good, and so I had a great
- 49:21Speaker 3: time going there before coming to work today.
- 49:24Speaker 1: And I also I did a jury duty today. I
- 49:28Speaker 1: was a jury duty.
- 49:29Speaker 3: I know Phil's laughing right before the show, and I
- 49:31Speaker 3: found out you get paid six bucks for that here
- 49:33Speaker 3: in Harris County, six dollars. We have somebody calling in,
