- 2:15Speaker 3: whole entire crew.
- 2:16Speaker 4: We just did Jaystone. Yes, she was the only one
- 2:19Speaker 4: that wasn't part. Did you see the All Money in
- 2:20Speaker 4: an interview? Yeah? Hell yeah, I don't watch all the interviews.
- 2:23Speaker 4: What do you think about it. That was dope.
- 2:25Speaker 5: That was dope.
- 2:26Speaker 6: And then my guys, you know what I'm saying, they
- 2:28Speaker 6: they like one of the first people to inspire me
- 2:32Speaker 6: what they was doing because it was like we all
- 2:34Speaker 6: coming out of South Central, these niggas that I see
- 2:37Speaker 6: in traffic stop and high at but they was doing
- 2:39Speaker 6: the thing though in the world.
- 2:43Speaker 5: I got to see it and fell it be around it.
- 2:46Speaker 6: So yeah, all money in it is definitely like a
- 2:48Speaker 6: big inspo for me to this day.
- 2:50Speaker 4: That's a fact. We had blast on.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Guy, blast my guy rather sticks of course Sticks just
- 2:56Speaker 2: got so.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Yeah, he's all good guys.
- 3:00Speaker 3: They be tapped into the right people. So, g Perico,
- 3:05Speaker 3: how is it going, my brother, how you doing?
- 3:07Speaker 5: I'm doing great, man, it's going great.
- 3:09Speaker 4: You know.
- 3:10Speaker 6: The opportunity is endless. I could see it, I could
- 3:13Speaker 6: feel it.
- 3:13Speaker 5: You know what I mean. So you know, we're just
- 3:16Speaker 5: making it happen, executing that's it.
- 3:17Speaker 4: So where's the name come from?
- 3:20Speaker 6: So the name came from like it meant some time
- 3:23Speaker 6: now originally I never used to say, but like it
- 3:26Speaker 6: just came from hustling, you know what I mean, And.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Like I assumed, but yeah, you never know.
- 3:32Speaker 6: And then around the time when I got coined that
- 3:35Speaker 6: because they call me G Slim BG or Skriller, Like
- 3:38Speaker 6: I got like three different names in the hood, you
- 3:40Speaker 6: know what I mean. Like my friends call me Skriller.
- 3:43Speaker 6: If you hear somebody call me Scriller, that's one of
- 3:45Speaker 6: my friends. If you hear somebody called me G slims
- 3:48Speaker 6: they knew me way back in the day. Gang bang
- 3:50Speaker 6: and BG is just what it turned into. But like
- 3:53Speaker 6: just hustling around the time like Lil Wayne and that
- 3:56Speaker 6: G Prico is what I'm knowing to have. So I'm
- 4:01Speaker 6: coming through the spots, you know what I'm saying, doing
- 4:03Speaker 6: my thing. And it was a joke, you know what
- 4:06Speaker 6: I mean. And I'm like, Nigga, that's my.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Name, so I you know, I ran with it, you
- 4:11Speaker 5: know what I mean.
- 4:12Speaker 6: But it was like it was a joke that was
- 4:13Speaker 6: calling me G Perico Gee Periico as a joke because
- 4:18Speaker 6: it always came through with the sack.
- 4:20Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, ain't funny no more.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Yeah, it was like LFA Like it was like they
- 4:28Speaker 3: was like, oh, it's like no.
- 4:29Speaker 4: This is the duo.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, So here we are, So let's talk
- 4:35Speaker 3: about let's start with the music. You put out three
- 4:37Speaker 3: projects this year so far?
- 4:39Speaker 4: Yeah so far? You got another project? Yeah, I got
- 4:42Speaker 4: another one, So all right? Why are you putting out
- 4:45Speaker 4: so much music?
- 4:46Speaker 3: Most people take the approach where less it's more, but
- 4:50Speaker 3: they put out one project every two years. One project
- 4:53Speaker 3: that you're putting out. You don't feel like that's saturating
- 4:56Speaker 3: the market.
- 4:57Speaker 6: Nah, definitely not because it's you know, with that type
- 5:00Speaker 6: of approach, it comes with bigger budgets, right, And that's
- 5:04Speaker 6: one thing I didn't have. I had the big budget
- 5:06Speaker 6: to three million dollars to spend on one project and
- 5:10Speaker 6: blow it out, you know what I mean. And then
- 5:12Speaker 6: also like I got so many thoughts and I didne
- 5:14Speaker 6: lived so much life, and like I could just explain
- 5:19Speaker 6: a feeling and a thing to the t, so well
- 5:22Speaker 6: it's like why not, you know? And then another thing
- 5:26Speaker 6: outside of that is naturally.
- 5:28Speaker 5: The streaming and the leverage and all that.
- 5:31Speaker 6: So I stacked the projects to use leverage as my value.
- 5:35Speaker 6: So now I'm worth a few million because of all
- 5:39Speaker 6: of this music, you know what I'm saying, as opposed
- 5:41Speaker 6: to me doing one project and then you know, running
- 5:45Speaker 6: around complaining, I ain't nobody fucking with it, that's your valuation. Yeah, yeah,
- 5:50Speaker 6: I'm not into complaining. I'm into making it happen and
- 5:52Speaker 6: figuring it out. So that was pretty much the best
- 5:55Speaker 6: route for me dealing with you know, the opportunities that
- 5:59Speaker 6: I had, you know what I'm saying, And so I
- 6:00Speaker 6: got to I got a laptop, I gotta interface, I
- 6:02Speaker 6: got a mic, I got producers. Let's get busy. Let's
- 6:06Speaker 6: build this value up. And then the most important reason
- 6:09Speaker 6: why I do it is like all my favorite artists
- 6:12Speaker 6: that I fell in love with dropped a lot of music,
- 6:14Speaker 6: whether it was mixtapes before the album, Wayne Gz, Game,
- 6:19Speaker 6: Wiz Spita, you know what I'm saying. All these people
- 6:22Speaker 6: that I love and brung me into their lifestyle, and
- 6:25Speaker 6: I took pieces of they shit and live with it,
- 6:27Speaker 6: you know what I mean.
- 6:28Speaker 5: So my whole thing is like, at the end of
- 6:31Speaker 5: the day, influence.
- 6:32Speaker 6: So I know that with my music, if it don't
- 6:36Speaker 6: happen while I'm here and alive, it's gonna happen when
- 6:39Speaker 6: I'm gone. I'm an influencing entire generation, you know what
- 6:42Speaker 6: I'm saying. And I'm creating a whole new lifestyle, a
- 6:45Speaker 6: subculture within the culture.
- 6:46Speaker 4: You know what I mean.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Yeah, five hundred million streams, that's a lot. You're building
- 6:50Speaker 2: that valuation up took about the process of doing it independent,
- 6:54Speaker 2: like you spoke about Wayne, right, and you spoke about
- 6:57Speaker 2: the influence that the all money and team. That's a
- 7:00Speaker 2: and combo, right, because we watched these guys grow up,
- 7:02Speaker 2: and we watched Nip through it from an independent standpoint,
- 7:06Speaker 2: and we watched Wayne put out the product. So I'm listening,
- 7:08Speaker 2: it feels like there's a merger of both those those
- 7:11Speaker 2: influences in your life.
- 7:12Speaker 1: About the independent route that you've taken.
- 7:14Speaker 6: So the independent route. I was signed to a label before,
- 7:17Speaker 6: so I started off independent with the same mind frame
- 7:21Speaker 6: and just understanding how a label operate. I need a
- 7:24Speaker 6: digital team, I need PR I need certain things, you
- 7:27Speaker 6: know what I'm saying. So when I signed, I already
- 7:30Speaker 6: had my I didn't even realize I had a label
- 7:32Speaker 6: of my own, you know what I'm saying, Because when
- 7:34Speaker 6: I signed, it was the same thing. I gonna hire them, Yeah,
- 7:38Speaker 6: it's the same shit. The only thing that changed was
- 7:42Speaker 6: my output. Now now I got to go explain while
- 7:45Speaker 6: I'm necessary and what I mean to the culture. You know,
- 7:50Speaker 6: it's different when you walking in the office and people
- 7:55Speaker 6: not in the streets, they not feeling the culture. They
- 7:57Speaker 6: on a computer, you know what I mean. So it's different,
- 8:00Speaker 6: and that was a struggle. But like just being independent,
- 8:03Speaker 6: I got the freedom to decide I want to put
- 8:05Speaker 6: out a project. I want to I want to drop
- 8:08Speaker 6: some clothes with it and do ten fifteen shows with it,
- 8:11Speaker 6: you know what I mean, and spread my message and
- 8:15Speaker 6: you know, impact and have all these little small victories
- 8:18Speaker 6: that lead up to the big one, you know what
- 8:20Speaker 6: I'm saying.
- 8:20Speaker 5: So like independent for me is the best route.
- 8:23Speaker 6: And it's like I always grew up having like a
- 8:27Speaker 6: problem with authority, you know what I'm saying.
- 8:29Speaker 5: That was like the you know, the nigga and me
- 8:32Speaker 5: the street nigga. You know what I'm saying.
- 8:34Speaker 6: And you know, when you sign like just having an
- 8:38Speaker 6: answer to somebody, like and you supposed to be a boss,
- 8:41Speaker 6: you really turn into a worker, like to extent, you
- 8:45Speaker 6: know what I'm saying, depending on how hot you come in,
- 8:48Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying. And I didn't come in
- 8:50Speaker 6: super hot, so you know, it was just a struggle.
- 8:53Speaker 6: So you know, the independent is the route for me.
- 8:56Speaker 6: Like I could wake up and do whatever the fuck
- 8:58Speaker 6: I feel like, and I'm living like a fucking platinum artist,
- 9:02Speaker 6: like you know what I mean, and my like my
- 9:05Speaker 6: streams accumulate to a few million soul you know what
- 9:07Speaker 6: I mean.
- 9:08Speaker 3: So you know, you brought up a good point as
- 9:11Speaker 3: far as having an expermission. That's something I don't think
- 9:14Speaker 3: people fully understand, like there's any hierarchy, like if you
- 9:18Speaker 3: you got to ask you want this single to get
- 9:21Speaker 3: put out, and they got to approve it and they
- 9:23Speaker 3: got to do that, and that's something that, yeah, is
- 9:28Speaker 3: mentally draining, right frustrated as opposed to just having the
- 9:32Speaker 3: independence of just being able to do whatever you want
- 9:34Speaker 3: to do. I want to put this out on Friday,
- 9:35Speaker 3: and put it on Friday. If I want to put
- 9:36Speaker 3: this single out, I want to put this art work out.
- 9:38Speaker 3: I don't have to get approval in the label and
- 9:42Speaker 3: different things in nature. That's actually extremely important for people
- 9:45Speaker 3: to fully understand.
- 9:45Speaker 6: That, Yeah, because it's like a lot of songs is
- 9:49Speaker 6: like you know, there may be something that lived for
- 9:51Speaker 6: a long time, but a lot of them like are
- 9:53Speaker 6: are like best form to come out in that time
- 9:56Speaker 6: where you're feeling it, you know what I mean.
- 9:58Speaker 5: As an artist.
- 10:00Speaker 6: I mean, now, like the business and the artistry, it
- 10:03Speaker 6: don't always blend well, you know what I mean.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Well, let me ask you this, what challenges do you
- 10:08Speaker 3: face being independ because it's like, you gotta get your
- 10:11Speaker 3: music out there, you got to market it, you.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Got to get the DJs to play it.
- 10:14Speaker 3: So like you know, being on the ground and doing
- 10:17Speaker 3: everything for yourself, what do you have to do that
- 10:20Speaker 3: you know you probably wouldn't have to do on a major.
- 10:22Speaker 6: Or you would have to do it all on a major,
- 10:26Speaker 6: you know what I mean, because you got to develop
- 10:28Speaker 6: some type of traction and order for them to open
- 10:30Speaker 6: up your budget, they got to see some numbers moving
- 10:33Speaker 6: in order for them to really put the machine behind you.
- 10:36Speaker 6: Or you gotta be a darling in the building, you
- 10:38Speaker 6: know what I'm saying. So it's like, you know, everything
- 10:42Speaker 6: that I got to do would be something that I
- 10:44Speaker 6: would normally have to do on the major to get
- 10:46Speaker 6: you know, the traction going. But the great part about
- 10:49Speaker 6: it all is like, shit, it's all mine at the
- 10:52Speaker 6: end of the day, I own it, you know what
- 10:54Speaker 6: I mean. So you know that's it. It's like it's
- 10:58Speaker 6: like real estate. Like when I say, now, with a
- 11:00Speaker 6: financial advisor and they was telling me how they've been
- 11:03Speaker 6: advising people to buy content. That's when I realized how
- 11:07Speaker 6: even more valuable what I'm doing is, whether it's visual content, music,
- 11:13Speaker 6: whatever it is. You know what I'm saying, it's like it's.
- 11:17Speaker 5: Wealth at the end of the day, it's building wealth.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Yeah, you're building wealth.
- 11:20Speaker 2: But at the same time, you're building brand, right sure,
- 11:23Speaker 2: because I mean you just said it's important.
- 11:25Speaker 1: I'm living like a platinum rapper.
- 11:27Speaker 2: So most people assume that because somebody went platinum, they
- 11:30Speaker 2: made this amount of money.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Because of their records.
- 11:33Speaker 5: That's probably in the hall, you.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Know, because there's a machine behind them. There's advances that
- 11:37Speaker 2: go into that. There's that that's accumulated because of that.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Whereas where you're building a brand, whether it's from like
- 11:42Speaker 2: you have other investments, maybe.
- 11:43Speaker 1: It's the T shirts.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Like we'll talk about the real estate a little bit
- 11:47Speaker 2: all that or majority that is coming to you or
- 11:49Speaker 2: is it all that's going to you?
- 11:51Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 11:51Speaker 6: Majority, majority, eighty percent coming to me. And it's like
- 11:55Speaker 6: the recouping process is like fucked up. So it's like
- 11:58Speaker 6: when you got to eighty five fifteen, like you're recouping
- 12:02Speaker 6: out of your fifteen percent type shit, you know what
- 12:04Speaker 6: I'm saying.
- 12:04Speaker 5: So that's how niggas think you spend a million and
- 12:07Speaker 5: make a million. You only made one hundred and fifty thousand,
- 12:09Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying.
- 12:10Speaker 1: So simple math.
- 12:14Speaker 3: You said somebody advisor told you that he's inviting people
- 12:17Speaker 3: to invest in content.
- 12:18Speaker 6: Yeah, content, explain that, like content like a catalog. People
- 12:24Speaker 6: that do YouTube, they buying that.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Out, YouTube channels, Instagram pages, yeah.
- 12:28Speaker 5: Short film all that, you know what I mean.
- 12:31Speaker 6: And then when it's been this wave of people selling
- 12:34Speaker 6: a catalog, you know what I mean, Like people came
- 12:37Speaker 6: and offered me a few million for my catalog earlier
- 12:40Speaker 6: this already Yeah, and I'm like, nigga, what I'm gonna
- 12:44Speaker 6: do with that? You know, like a couple minut and
- 12:48Speaker 6: the way that I spend Like and then after I
- 12:50Speaker 6: said it this like I don't.
- 12:52Speaker 5: I don't have that value on myself anymore.
- 12:54Speaker 6: So I got to create, which is like it just
- 12:57Speaker 6: all depends on how you look at it and how
- 12:58Speaker 6: you play it, you know what I mean.
- 13:00Speaker 5: So, uh, it could be a good thing, it could
- 13:02Speaker 5: be a bad.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Well you bring up a good point because everybody talks
- 13:06Speaker 3: about people selling their music has laws. But remember that kid,
- 13:08Speaker 3: this whole Instagram page for eighty five million want did
- 13:12Speaker 3: you want?
- 13:12Speaker 1: Yeah, well they said he did.
- 13:14Speaker 4: It was a whole profile audience.
- 13:16Speaker 2: It wasn't just one Instagram he had built up like
- 13:18Speaker 2: I think fifteen to twenty pages.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Like over fifty million followers. Yeah, but you could like
- 13:24Speaker 3: shade them right now. They could probably sell their whole
- 13:27Speaker 3: portfolio for like one hundred million dollars.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, evaluation probably crazy because.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Look at the influence that you have by having that
- 13:33Speaker 3: many followers every single day, Like you know what I'm saying.
- 13:36Speaker 3: That's how that's how labels are actually marketing music through
- 13:39Speaker 3: like academics, these page Like when you just see this
- 13:42Speaker 3: random artist, this drill artist that you've never heard of before,
- 13:45Speaker 3: Just how you feel about this.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Like that's not done by accident play?
- 13:49Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, Well the way that contest is being
- 13:53Speaker 2: viewed as different, the way it's being consumed is different.
- 13:55Speaker 2: So you gotta change from the old form, Right, People
- 13:58Speaker 2: don't watch TV, people aren't listening to radio the same
- 14:02Speaker 2: right there on their phones, and so wherever the content
- 14:04Speaker 2: is being made to have the the type of margins
- 14:08Speaker 2: that you want, right, You got to make sure that
- 14:10Speaker 2: there's not large overhead, right, which if I'm sitting in
- 14:12Speaker 2: my living room with a camera, not much overhead, you
- 14:15Speaker 2: know what I'm saying. So if I can get all
- 14:16Speaker 2: that content and push it out with millions of people watching.
- 14:19Speaker 1: It's a better business decision.
- 14:20Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 14:21Speaker 2: You said something this is literison, right, you just said
- 14:23Speaker 2: the way I'm spending. But you also said you spoke
- 14:25Speaker 2: to a financial plannet. So this tells me that there's
- 14:30Speaker 2: somebody inside of you that's like, you know what, I
- 14:33Speaker 2: have to have this financial discipline, but I got to
- 14:35Speaker 2: call somebody just to make sure.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I'm what's that trajectory like for you? What is that
- 14:40Speaker 1: duality like for you?
- 14:41Speaker 5: So it's just like experience, right.
- 14:44Speaker 6: So like when I first came in, I made some
- 14:46Speaker 6: money and then I got me a big ass house,
- 14:49Speaker 6: a gang of cars, and then I lost all that
- 14:52Speaker 6: shit and was brought the house.
- 14:53Speaker 5: And the cars, yeah, all everything.
- 14:55Speaker 6: Yeah, and I had like a few pair I ain't
- 14:58Speaker 6: even have no where to keep all the clothes.
- 15:00Speaker 5: Was like I had rooms and shoes and shit.
- 15:03Speaker 6: Just gave everything away and started over, and I'm like,
- 15:06Speaker 6: I never want to be in this space again.
- 15:08Speaker 4: How did that happen?
- 15:10Speaker 6: Just spending partying, believing in the system, spend money, was making,
- 15:16Speaker 6: yeah for sure, and believing more in the system than myself,
- 15:20Speaker 6: you know what I mean, believing that like some fairy
- 15:24Speaker 6: was gonna come down.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I made a half a million, I can make another half.
- 15:28Speaker 6: A million exactly, and not doing the work. So you know,
- 15:30Speaker 6: I just got caught up in the fund. And then
- 15:32Speaker 6: it was like I spent a lot of time in
- 15:34Speaker 6: and out of jail. So that was probably like my
- 15:36Speaker 6: honeymooning stage, you know what I'm saying, lived it up,
- 15:40Speaker 6: enjoyed it, and then I'm like I stopped drinking and everything.
- 15:43Speaker 6: I ain't drinking like four years coming up on four years, but.
- 15:47Speaker 5: Uh congress, Yeah, it was just experience.
- 15:50Speaker 6: And then I was like, all right, I gotta do
- 15:53Speaker 6: all this work, rebuild the brand, start creating this momentum again.
- 15:58Speaker 6: And it's like I don't want to do all of
- 16:00Speaker 6: this work and then end up in the same place,
- 16:03Speaker 6: Like it's like where I'm gonna go after where I
- 16:06Speaker 6: can't go back to the hood.
- 16:07Speaker 5: These niggas gonna kill me if I.
- 16:09Speaker 6: If I'm broke and I come back. You know what,
- 16:11Speaker 6: I'm saying, because you know.
- 16:13Speaker 4: That ye leave to come back exactly like guys didn't
- 16:16Speaker 4: work out right, it's's naturally upset.
- 16:19Speaker 6: Like if it may be somebody that I'm I'm rolling
- 16:22Speaker 6: doing my thing and they somewhere I don't see them
- 16:25Speaker 6: now they mad about that.
- 16:26Speaker 5: It's just be a little silly shit like that.
- 16:28Speaker 6: So it's like, I know that I don't want to
- 16:30Speaker 6: be in a losing position, So I got to set
- 16:33Speaker 6: myself up. And the way I hustle now is like
- 16:36Speaker 6: not for right now, because it's like all the work
- 16:38Speaker 6: that I've been doing the last couple of years got
- 16:41Speaker 6: me living right now. So I'm in a position to
- 16:44Speaker 6: where I could hustle for the next.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Few years and shit going to jail that last time
- 16:50Speaker 2: changing for you.
- 16:51Speaker 6: Hell yeah, Like that was an eye opener because like
- 16:55Speaker 6: before that, I ain't give a fuck about nothing, like
- 16:59Speaker 6: fuck it is what it is, like we in the life.
- 17:02Speaker 6: This is what I'm doing. I know how to get money.
- 17:04Speaker 6: I know how to do this, like you know what
- 17:07Speaker 6: I mean. I'm a gaster basically, and like my first
- 17:11Speaker 6: time in the joint, I was still I was catching
- 17:14Speaker 6: cases in there, and then when I went back, I
- 17:17Speaker 6: had caught it like a cell phone, the little right
- 17:21Speaker 6: up and shit, they added ninety eight something like that
- 17:23Speaker 6: for month, something like that. But I'm like, I'm looking
- 17:27Speaker 6: around and I'm like I was on the yard that
- 17:29Speaker 6: was sweet, and then I ended up on the yard
- 17:32Speaker 6: where everybody got life and nobody's going home, you know
- 17:36Speaker 6: what I mean. And then my daughter was freshly born,
- 17:39Speaker 6: her mama in jail. My daughter was born in child
- 17:42Speaker 6: chill at state prison, you know what I'm saying. So
- 17:45Speaker 6: it's like damn, and God can't be and then just
- 17:51Speaker 6: then my granny died. It's like, damn, I ain't got nobody,
- 17:53Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying. So just all that in
- 17:55Speaker 6: my mind, you know what I mean. It was like
- 17:57Speaker 6: I got to get something together. And then when I
- 17:59Speaker 6: got it together, I was in party mode. So you know,
- 18:02Speaker 6: luckily I got to still got an opportunity and still
- 18:05Speaker 6: feel fresh and still energetic and like it's not over,
- 18:09Speaker 6: because you know how this shit is like, you know,
- 18:12Speaker 6: once people get a little bit of run, like the
- 18:14Speaker 6: first thing the people do in the offices everywhere, it's done.
- 18:18Speaker 5: We've fucked this. You on the what's next? You know
- 18:20Speaker 5: what I'm saying.
- 18:21Speaker 6: So you know, bless what the opportunity to still be
- 18:24Speaker 6: here in a lot of good relationships.
- 18:26Speaker 5: So I got to set it up right, you know
- 18:28Speaker 5: what i mean.
- 18:29Speaker 3: So talking about you do invest in real estate at least? Yeah,
- 18:33Speaker 3: because you're in a building right what I got Dave
- 18:36Speaker 3: Gross out the day, So talk about that. How did
- 18:40Speaker 3: your relationship with Dave Gross come about? And how did
- 18:43Speaker 3: you get into buying a building?
- 18:46Speaker 6: So with Dave, his little brother Sean Mack rest in peace.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Yeah from inn HP pie Ro. Yeah, that's my boy.
- 18:56Speaker 6: Sean Mack was like a real good pot, no mine, like,
- 19:00Speaker 6: and we had just met a couple of years before
- 19:02Speaker 6: he died, you know what I'm saying. But we hit
- 19:04Speaker 6: it off like and like he was coming through every
- 19:08Speaker 6: day we making music and he was telling me, yeah,
- 19:11Speaker 6: I got a brother.
- 19:12Speaker 4: Man.
- 19:12Speaker 5: He was square though. Man.
- 19:15Speaker 6: I remember he came through in the suit and I'm like, damn, maggy,
- 19:18Speaker 6: what you got to suit on?
- 19:19Speaker 5: Fock and be like shit, I've been working for my brother.
- 19:23Speaker 6: And I'm like yeah, and then I've seen I've seen
- 19:26Speaker 6: who Dave Gross was, but I didn't know that was
- 19:28Speaker 6: his brother, you.
- 19:29Speaker 5: Know what I mean?
- 19:30Speaker 6: And And like we like kind of connected through Sean Macpasson,
- 19:35Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying, Like through tragedy basically. And
- 19:38Speaker 6: we also got the building through tragedy, which is crazy
- 19:42Speaker 6: because the owner passed away, you know what I mean,
- 19:46Speaker 6: and the opportunity was there, and shit, I had the money,
- 19:51Speaker 6: so we did it.
- 19:52Speaker 4: So you just hit him like I know, you know
- 19:54Speaker 4: about real estate.
- 19:55Speaker 6: So it went. It kind of went like this, like
- 19:58Speaker 6: I was chilling with d Smoke. D Smoke one of
- 20:01Speaker 6: our partners too, and and I met him at the
- 20:06Speaker 6: boxing gym. I didn't even know he saying or anything
- 20:09Speaker 6: like that.
- 20:09Speaker 5: I just knew he was.
- 20:10Speaker 6: A boxer and he'd be fighting and we was doing
- 20:13Speaker 6: a song and I'm like, bro, I would love to
- 20:16Speaker 6: own that building. Bro, That's always like been a dream
- 20:18Speaker 6: of mine. Like I don't care if I make money
- 20:20Speaker 6: or anything, I just want to have it. And he
- 20:23Speaker 6: liked me too. And then like a week later Ms.
- 20:26Speaker 6: Larkin died, you know what I mean, So Smoke Hick
- 20:29Speaker 6: Dave and Dave hit me. He like, wait this this
- 20:34Speaker 6: Perico hood.
- 20:35Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying. So I didn't know Smoke
- 20:37Speaker 5: hit Dave, Dave hit me. What's up?
- 20:39Speaker 6: What you want to do give me such and such.
- 20:41Speaker 6: I'm like, all right, let's do it, you know what
- 20:43Speaker 6: I mean. So that's pretty much how that came together.
- 20:46Speaker 6: And you know, we just building it out.
- 20:50Speaker 4: So what's in the building.
- 20:52Speaker 6: So it's like the oldest boxing gym still standing in
- 20:55Speaker 6: Los Angeles Broadway Boxing My original store was there, my origin.
- 21:00Speaker 6: No studios there, which I hadn't been to in like years,
- 21:04Speaker 6: you know what I mean. But it's just like a
- 21:06Speaker 6: it's like a lot of history right there.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Like I got my virtual commercial.
- 21:09Speaker 6: Yeah, it's a commercial building. So I got my first
- 21:12Speaker 6: tattoos there. It used to be a tattoo shot when
- 21:14Speaker 6: I was like thirteen. I'm in shot right there.
- 21:17Speaker 5: Like it's just like a gang in history where I
- 21:20Speaker 5: grew up right there.
- 21:21Speaker 1: So it's your neighborhood.
- 21:22Speaker 5: Yeah, being able to own owner this dog.
- 21:26Speaker 6: So the blue T shirt brand, that's where it starts. Yeah,
- 21:29Speaker 6: blue T shirt. I came up with the idea in
- 21:31Speaker 6: that building. So I mean developed it right there.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Imagine that, right, Like I wonder what that's like for you,
- 21:36Speaker 2: right like you said there's these game of experiences you
- 21:39Speaker 2: said something probably like in just like I want to
- 21:41Speaker 2: own this one day to now being an owner in it.
- 21:44Speaker 2: How involved in it are you now? Knowing that this
- 21:48Speaker 2: was like almost like a dream board it came into fuition.
- 21:50Speaker 6: Yeah, like I'm I'm I'm super hands on. You know,
- 21:55Speaker 6: it's a lot going on right now. So like the
- 21:57Speaker 6: last month or so, I've been all the way to
- 22:01Speaker 6: and getting the uh getting the gym like spruced up
- 22:04Speaker 6: a little bit so we could do a regrand opening
- 22:07Speaker 6: and get that back going for the community and start
- 22:10Speaker 6: my youth boxing league and everything. So we man tuned
- 22:13Speaker 6: in putting the team together and everything. Me and Smoke,
- 22:16Speaker 6: So you know, that's gonna be big for me, Like
- 22:19Speaker 6: even if I don't even care if I make a
- 22:21Speaker 6: dollar off of that, because it's like it's a passion
- 22:23Speaker 6: thing for me.
- 22:24Speaker 4: And that's in your neighborhood. Yeah, and that's what is there.
- 22:27Speaker 4: Whe's aread again.
- 22:28Speaker 5: It's south south Central, Yeah, the east side.
- 22:30Speaker 6: Yeah, basically the east side of South Central, Like it's
- 22:33Speaker 6: where the east side start. So it's like it's some
- 22:37Speaker 6: people could say west, some people say majority ninety five
- 22:41Speaker 6: ninety nine percent of the city called it the east side,
- 22:44Speaker 6: but the east side start a block after the building.
- 22:47Speaker 4: So that's interesting. He was like my brother he's squared though.
- 22:52Speaker 1: I'm sure you're gonna love to hear that.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Now, but it's interesting to even like, you know, I
- 22:57Speaker 3: feel like language is very important, yeah, right, And I
- 23:04Speaker 3: feel like a lot of times people, well they're starting
- 23:07Speaker 3: to change now, but for a long period of time,
- 23:09Speaker 3: like people were discouraged to do more positive things because
- 23:13Speaker 3: it was looked at his lane, Yeah for sure, But
- 23:17Speaker 3: in rale reality, that's what you actually should be doing, right,
- 23:20Speaker 3: that's the pathway forward. So life, how are you able
- 23:24Speaker 3: to like kind of change that mindset within yourself to realize, like, nah,
- 23:29Speaker 3: real estate, this is where it's at, Like, you know,
- 23:33Speaker 3: glorifying everybody starts off glorifying what they see streets and
- 23:36Speaker 3: different things that you realize that that's nothing to really
- 23:39Speaker 3: glorify because there's no real win in this situation. Right,
- 23:42Speaker 3: So when did that mindset change from you?
- 23:47Speaker 6: I mean it changed when I was sitting in jail, bro,
- 23:50Speaker 6: because it was like I just kind of like woke
- 23:53Speaker 6: up one day.
- 23:53Speaker 5: I was talking to my cellar.
- 23:55Speaker 6: You had life without and I think I was like
- 23:58Speaker 6: twenty two or something at and he was twenty two
- 24:01Speaker 6: when he got life, and he was like Damn, they're
- 24:04Speaker 6: sixty and he looked young as fuck. I wouldn't have
- 24:07Speaker 6: thought he was sixty. But and then my homie was
- 24:10Speaker 6: in the building. He got life for something that he
- 24:11Speaker 6: didn't do. So I'm like, Damn, the life really don't
- 24:14Speaker 6: bring nothing to you, but like just heartache and pain.
- 24:18Speaker 6: Like you get them them highs, them quick highs, you
- 24:21Speaker 6: know what I'm saying. It's like a crack high like
- 24:23Speaker 6: you own for a second. Then it's over and you
- 24:26Speaker 6: fight these niggas and going through this, and I'm just like,
- 24:29Speaker 6: it just really wasn't no life to the end of it,
- 24:33Speaker 6: And to this day it's still one of my biggest
- 24:35Speaker 6: struggles though honestly, like I'm gonna keep it all the
- 24:38Speaker 6: way real because I was like my first love and
- 24:40Speaker 6: my family and my thing, Like you know what I'm saying,
- 24:43Speaker 6: I ain't really had no family like that, so it
- 24:45Speaker 6: was the hood. So that's one of my biggest struggles.
- 24:48Speaker 6: But at the end of the day, the question always
- 24:50Speaker 6: come to, like, Damn, what's the like what you get
- 24:54Speaker 6: out of this, Like what's the point like to go
- 24:57Speaker 6: sit in jail for life or to get killed and
- 25:00Speaker 6: don't have nothing and nigga's having a fucking car wash
- 25:04Speaker 6: for you and like you know what I mean, And
- 25:07Speaker 6: it's like it just really.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Ain't remimy something like That's like the fish Frock, one
- 25:12Speaker 3: of my favorite rappers of all times, Azy, he had
- 25:14Speaker 3: a dope blom when he was like, there's more to gain,
- 25:16Speaker 3: its just street Nigga fame them same thoughts. I fought
- 25:19Speaker 3: like sugar shame, and I feel like it's like quick saying,
- 25:21Speaker 3: like because it's alluring, like like you said, like you know,
- 25:24Speaker 3: to go and to have hood fame and to be
- 25:27Speaker 3: able to beat a man in your block and everybody
- 25:30Speaker 3: you know recognizes you and it's it plays your ego
- 25:34Speaker 3: and it's something that it actually is appealing. But it's
- 25:39Speaker 3: like you got to kind of fight that because it's
- 25:40Speaker 3: like if you stay there too long, like quick saying,
- 25:42Speaker 3: you're going, you don't realize that you're sinking. That's the
- 25:44Speaker 3: thing about quickstanding. You don't really realize that you're sinking.
- 25:46Speaker 3: You think you're just standing there. Before you know it,
- 25:48Speaker 3: you're like six feet deep. So it's that's an interesting
- 25:52Speaker 3: dynamic that you said. You're even still fighting that to
- 25:54Speaker 3: this day because a lot of people can't understand it,
- 25:56Speaker 3: but I can understand that aspect of it where it's
- 25:59Speaker 3: like you can't really get that feeling anywhere else, but
- 26:03Speaker 3: you know that ultimately it's not going to lead you anywhere.
- 26:06Speaker 5: Right. It's definitely ego driven.
- 26:09Speaker 6: And I kind of like compare it to like somebody
- 26:12Speaker 6: that smoke crack, Like they know it ain't good for
- 26:15Speaker 6: they try to quit, but it's like they back on it.
- 26:17Speaker 6: Like it's the same shit with the streets, bro, and
- 26:20Speaker 6: the same thing with hustling. You know, Like I kind
- 26:24Speaker 6: of battle with doing nigga shit all the time, you
- 26:27Speaker 6: know what I mean. But at the end of this day,
- 26:30Speaker 6: it's like.
- 26:31Speaker 4: Just keep it occasional.
- 26:32Speaker 5: It's no keep it all and not like.
- 26:39Speaker 6: Basically meant not even real, like for real, because bro,
- 26:43Speaker 6: it's nothing at the end of it, Broy. You know,
- 26:47Speaker 6: every every nigga that I know that made it to
- 26:50Speaker 6: old age is a street guy. Like they're dealing with
- 26:53Speaker 6: so much mentally, and then it's like even the ones
- 26:56Speaker 6: that's not like still made it out what they sense.
- 26:59Speaker 6: It's like, all right, you do this shit, you fuck
- 27:02Speaker 6: around and be rich in the streets and all this,
- 27:04Speaker 6: and then it's over and then you got to start
- 27:06Speaker 6: all over at the beginning of the work world doing
- 27:10Speaker 6: some shit that a nigga that's eighteen.
- 27:12Speaker 1: It's the fact is your supervisor.
- 27:15Speaker 6: Right, and then you already got this nigga ego. I
- 27:17Speaker 6: know that shit to eat you up. And it's like,
- 27:19Speaker 6: before I get to that point, I need to like shift,
- 27:23Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying.
- 27:24Speaker 2: So knowing that, I wonder, like you said, you have
- 27:26Speaker 2: the boxing gym, and that speaks to youth, right, giving
- 27:29Speaker 2: back to youth. Knowing where you're at now, having some maturation,
- 27:34Speaker 2: having some incasional tendencies, is the vision now somewhat make
- 27:40Speaker 2: sure that the youngest behind me have a different alternative.
- 27:44Speaker 1: They can see something different. Right.
- 27:45Speaker 2: I know that you're coaching summer leagues and doing the
- 27:47Speaker 2: boxing gym, So how much of an impact does that
- 27:50Speaker 2: have you that the young is coming up?
- 27:51Speaker 6: I mean that's like super important, bro, cause like the
- 27:55Speaker 6: next era is the future, you know what I mean?
- 27:57Speaker 5: And then just understanding what what they'll go through if.
- 28:02Speaker 6: I'm like directing somebody in the wrong way, Like because
- 28:05Speaker 6: I had a group of like young homies after me,
- 28:09Speaker 6: they got life, they did they fried You know what
- 28:12Speaker 6: I'm saying so, and it was like a lot of
- 28:14Speaker 6: them was like following my leadership, you know what I mean,
- 28:17Speaker 6: And I ain't know no better, you know what I mean.
- 28:19Speaker 6: That like we was gonna end up fucked up, you
- 28:21Speaker 6: know what I mean, even though I saw it in
- 28:24Speaker 6: front of me though, you know what I mean, But
- 28:26Speaker 6: I was so in ah with like my older homies
- 28:29Speaker 6: and big homies. I'm like, Nigga, this is what it is.
- 28:31Speaker 6: That's what we're doing, you know what I'm saying. So
- 28:34Speaker 6: just knowing that, bro, it ain't no life at the
- 28:37Speaker 6: end of that, bro, Like I'm much rather like how
- 28:40Speaker 6: you like boxing or rapping, or doing short films or
- 28:46Speaker 6: going to be a doctor anything like, or or owning
- 28:51Speaker 6: ownership in business building whatever it may be. I'm much
- 28:55Speaker 6: rather have you doing that a podcast than like gang
- 28:59Speaker 6: banging and on street shit because I know where you're
- 29:02Speaker 6: gonna go. Nobody this shit been around in LA had
- 29:05Speaker 6: been around over fifty years, you know what I'm saying,
- 29:09Speaker 6: Like all these hoods having their fiftieth anniversaries like this year,
- 29:14Speaker 6: you know what I mean. And then the Crip and
- 29:15Speaker 6: the blood shit been out years before. It was individual set.
- 29:18Speaker 6: So it's like this shit been around over fifty years. Bro,
- 29:21Speaker 6: ain't nobody beat it yet that ain't like transition. Ain't
- 29:25Speaker 6: nobody that stayed in it beat it? And like ninety
- 29:28Speaker 6: percent of niggas not finna get past twenty five without
- 29:33Speaker 6: being life or like shot up back, can't walk like
- 29:38Speaker 6: or shot in the head and fucking mind is gone.
- 29:41Speaker 5: Now you know what I mean? Like it's really fucked up, bro,
- 29:43Speaker 5: like the real reality of it.
- 29:45Speaker 6: So yeah, I much rather have I much rather use
- 29:49Speaker 6: my influence and my energy to help niggas do some
- 29:51Speaker 6: other shit. I know I ain't gonna be able to
- 29:53Speaker 6: save everybody, but if I can help some niggas that
- 29:55Speaker 6: can help they niggas and help they niggas, then you
- 29:58Speaker 6: know it's important.
- 29:59Speaker 4: Yeah. So you involved in vector ninety Nah?
- 30:02Speaker 5: No, nah, I don't have nothing to do with fact
- 30:04Speaker 5: in ninety.
- 30:04Speaker 4: Okay, okay, So.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Talk about you know, your path in music streaming? Like
- 30:13Speaker 3: what's the most important thing for independent artists? Is it
- 30:16Speaker 3: to focus on marketing or is it to focus on
- 30:20Speaker 3: relationships getting features?
- 30:22Speaker 4: DJs?
- 30:22Speaker 3: Like, what's your path with a lot of people are
- 30:25Speaker 3: independent artists, but a lot of people aren't successful as
- 30:28Speaker 3: independent artists.
- 30:29Speaker 6: Yeah, I think this is all equal. Like it's like
- 30:33Speaker 6: the brand, what is it? What's your story, who you're
- 30:38Speaker 6: talking to, what you represent? You got to identify that
- 30:42Speaker 6: so you know, you can identify your audience, you know
- 30:46Speaker 6: what I mean. And it's marketing and like most importantly
- 30:49Speaker 6: it's relationships. Like I got good relationships from like over
- 30:54Speaker 6: the years, you know what I mean, just organic, Yeah,
- 30:56Speaker 6: just a lot of people that fuck with me. And
- 30:58Speaker 6: it's a lot of relationship. It's like we ain't never
- 31:01Speaker 6: asked for favors or nothing like that. We just tight,
- 31:04Speaker 6: you know what I mean. And you know, if time
- 31:06Speaker 6: come to do some business, I know it to go well.
- 31:09Speaker 6: But the relationship is highly important, you know, And like
- 31:13Speaker 6: people got to understand like the power of just respecting
- 31:16Speaker 6: people also because the ego shit and the street nigga shit,
- 31:21Speaker 6: having niggas being an asshole and a dickhead like thinking it.
- 31:25Speaker 6: You know, you in a position that's untouchable or shit
- 31:29Speaker 6: can't change, you know what I mean, Because you know,
- 31:32Speaker 6: it's a lot of people that's at the that may
- 31:34Speaker 6: be at the bottom of the totem pole right now
- 31:37Speaker 6: this day and in fucking twenty four months, which flies
- 31:42Speaker 6: by like nothing. You know, they may be the top
- 31:45Speaker 6: motherfucker pushing buttons, you know what I mean.
- 31:47Speaker 5: So relationships super important.
- 31:50Speaker 2: How is it dealing with the complexity of you got
- 31:55Speaker 2: the street dudes that you're with, Yeah, and now you
- 31:58Speaker 2: have business ventures and realizing that some of them can't go,
- 32:02Speaker 2: most of them not gonna be able to go with you. Yeah,
- 32:05Speaker 2: how's dealing with that complexity?
- 32:07Speaker 6: I mean, that's that's a whole nother struggle, you know
- 32:10Speaker 6: what I mean, Because like every time I've been on
- 32:12Speaker 6: a run since I've been out, first thing I do
- 32:15Speaker 6: is go back and grab some of my niggas like
- 32:17Speaker 6: look this, this, this, and it never it ain't worked
- 32:20Speaker 6: one time, you know what I mean. And I'm just
- 32:23Speaker 6: realizing that right now, like damn, this shit never works.
- 32:26Speaker 5: So you know, it's.
- 32:29Speaker 6: Like, bro, the whole street thing is a struggle. And
- 32:32Speaker 6: then like my business guys like hate it, you.
- 32:34Speaker 5: Know what I mean?
- 32:36Speaker 1: Worlds.
- 32:36Speaker 6: Yeah, Like, nigga, your heart is entirely got you full. Like, yeah,
- 32:42Speaker 6: I'm foolish sometimes, you know what I mean. But you
- 32:46Speaker 6: know that's why I work so hard. So it's like
- 32:48Speaker 6: if we make a mistake, you know what I mean,
- 32:50Speaker 6: we could make up for it with the work.
- 32:52Speaker 5: You know what I mean. But it's definitely it's definitely
- 32:54Speaker 5: a mission. Man.
- 32:55Speaker 6: The two definitely don't blend at all, Like the two
- 32:58Speaker 6: worlds don't even understand each other at all either, you
- 33:02Speaker 6: know what I mean.
- 33:03Speaker 5: But by me being a hybrid, it's good for me,
- 33:07Speaker 5: you know what I mean. I just everybody can go,
- 33:10Speaker 5: like the saying go, you know what I mean, everybody
- 33:15Speaker 5: can go. That's a fact.
- 33:16Speaker 4: So does that lead to the level of resentment?
- 33:19Speaker 1: I was just gonna say that, Yeah, for sure.
- 33:22Speaker 4: How you deal with that?
- 33:23Speaker 5: For sure?
- 33:23Speaker 4: Bro?
- 33:24Speaker 6: That's like that's another pressure, that's another pressure on your mind.
- 33:28Speaker 6: Just think about like just coming from something with people
- 33:32Speaker 6: that you love and you fuck with, and then you
- 33:35Speaker 6: bless with a vision as well as the opportunity and
- 33:38Speaker 6: the drive to get it done, and you want everything
- 33:43Speaker 6: that you got for your niggas too. But they not
- 33:45Speaker 6: trying to understand. Only thing they can understand is create
- 33:50Speaker 6: a riff with you or try to discover some type
- 33:54Speaker 6: of problem and live off of that. Instead of trying
- 33:56Speaker 6: to find a solution on how we could bubble. I'm saying,
- 34:00Speaker 6: how my nigga, you could bubble with I'm saying straight up. So, yeah,
- 34:04Speaker 6: that's difficult. That's what I'm run into like ninety nine
- 34:07Speaker 6: point nine percent of the time across resentment. There's plenty
- 34:11Speaker 6: of niggas that can't stand me right now. But you know,
- 34:14Speaker 6: oh well, shit, don't stop. Sure you've been you've been
- 34:17Speaker 6: chosen to lead. So I wonder because you've worked with
- 34:20Speaker 6: the word pressure. It's a lot of pressure, a lot
- 34:21Speaker 6: of pressure, and it is right.
- 34:23Speaker 2: You're dealing with two different worlds you're navigating, you're learning,
- 34:26Speaker 2: you know, one world, you're entering this new space in
- 34:28Speaker 2: the world of business and business ventures, and you're learning that.
- 34:33Speaker 2: At what point do you check in on your own
- 34:35Speaker 2: mental health during this process because it can be waning.
- 34:39Speaker 2: You've seen some tragedies, you've seen chaos, and even in
- 34:42Speaker 2: the business world, there's gonna be there's a lot of
- 34:45Speaker 2: that is tricky. It's real tricky. And you can't react
- 34:48Speaker 2: to the same way to both, No, you can't. So
- 34:50Speaker 2: when do you check in on yourself?
- 34:52Speaker 5: Man, that's a that's a great question because.
- 34:56Speaker 6: That's one thing that I'm still not sure of, you
- 35:00Speaker 6: know what I mean, Like I know it's it's some
- 35:03Speaker 6: type of confusion inside of me, you know what I mean.
- 35:05Speaker 5: But I don't know if like the work, like the
- 35:09Speaker 5: work and me just.
- 35:10Speaker 6: Knowing that I'm doing something great, like I'm inspiring motherfuckers
- 35:13Speaker 6: when I see people like that's refreshing for me.
- 35:16Speaker 5: That's what helped me.
- 35:18Speaker 6: Like, you know, I may wake up in a funk
- 35:20Speaker 6: and then when I jump up and go outside and
- 35:23Speaker 6: niggas is like, gee, nigga, I know what I'm doing.
- 35:27Speaker 6: Is like I know I'm on the right path, you
- 35:29Speaker 6: know what I'm saying. So that like tends to my
- 35:32Speaker 6: mental health and you know the feelings and the emotions
- 35:36Speaker 6: that I go through.
- 35:37Speaker 3: So how important is it to have a team? And
- 35:39Speaker 3: what is who's on your team? You probably got a
- 35:42Speaker 3: publicist manager, Like how important is that?
- 35:45Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 35:46Speaker 6: I mean the team is highly important, bro, because like
- 35:50Speaker 6: I got big vision and like just you know, just
- 35:54Speaker 6: want to take over the world. So it's like we're
- 35:57Speaker 6: working on movies, we're doing clothes, visual all type of
- 36:02Speaker 6: different content, working with different brands. And then the division
- 36:08Speaker 6: that I got is way broader than that. So like
- 36:11Speaker 6: it's important to have somebody to bounce off of, and
- 36:14Speaker 6: it's important to have somebody that can execute on a
- 36:17Speaker 6: high level. It's important to have people around that think big,
- 36:21Speaker 6: you know what I mean, and see big ship, you
- 36:24Speaker 6: know what I mean. And it's also important to it's
- 36:27Speaker 6: a thin line, like it's important to be able to
- 36:30Speaker 6: be modest at the same time too of just knowing
- 36:33Speaker 6: where you're at right now, but knowing where that you
- 36:36Speaker 6: got where you got to take it. So, like a
- 36:38Speaker 6: team is extremely valuable in this ship right now.
- 36:40Speaker 4: So who's who's what's the members of your team, like
- 36:43Speaker 4: the close in the circle.
- 36:45Speaker 6: So we got like management, you know what I mean.
- 36:49Speaker 6: We got a digital social media Yeah, we got digital.
- 36:56Speaker 6: We're working on a new social media person right now,
- 37:00Speaker 6: but like digital on the music, and we got PR
- 37:05Speaker 6: and then uh, it's just a few people that, like
- 37:09Speaker 6: I don't want to call them assistance, they do a
- 37:11Speaker 6: variety of Yeah, it's a few people that make sure
- 37:13Speaker 6: things get executed and carried out, you know what I mean.
- 37:16Speaker 5: But it's very.
- 37:17Speaker 6: It's minimal, you know what I mean. It's only like
- 37:20Speaker 6: three four people on the team, you know what I mean.
- 37:24Speaker 6: And everybody is like snipers.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Super efficient. Yeah. So you said you got the big vision.
- 37:31Speaker 1: How how independent is the process?
- 37:32Speaker 4: Right? I know?
- 37:33Speaker 2: You got shows. Are you guys booking the venues? Are
- 37:36Speaker 2: you setting the ticket prices? How how independent is this
- 37:40Speaker 2: whole thing?
- 37:41Speaker 6: So for some of the some of the shows, like
- 37:44Speaker 6: when we hit the roll, some of the shows I
- 37:46Speaker 6: do buck the venue and we just get the whole thing.
- 37:49Speaker 6: And then some of the shows I get a guarantee, you.
- 37:53Speaker 5: Know what I mean.
- 37:54Speaker 6: And that's part yeah, And that's because like, well right
- 37:58Speaker 6: now I'm getting guaranteed them there everywhere now, but like
- 38:01Speaker 6: just breaking through the market and just showing that I
- 38:04Speaker 6: can bring people out and sell tickets and I got
- 38:06Speaker 6: to establish like tickets seale. You can pull me up
- 38:09Speaker 6: and see how many tickets are sold and shit. So yeah,
- 38:13Speaker 6: right now we're just getting guaranteed. But yeah, like this year,
- 38:17Speaker 6: we was booking a lot of venues.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean you learned so much through that process. Yeah,
- 38:22Speaker 2: and you get to keep the over right, the margins
- 38:24Speaker 2: are a lot larger if you're doing it yourself. We
- 38:26Speaker 2: actually went to a few shows with some established artists
- 38:29Speaker 2: and they were like, this is the first time we
- 38:30Speaker 2: actually booked our own show. Yeah, but I feel like
- 38:33Speaker 2: that's changing right through the more that people get experienced.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Younger generation sees what the old one did. Now we
- 38:39Speaker 2: implement How do you determine which markets to go to?
- 38:43Speaker 4: Right?
- 38:43Speaker 1: Are y'all looking at the analytics? You're looking at data?
- 38:45Speaker 6: Yeah, we're looking at We're looking at analytics data. And
- 38:48Speaker 6: then also like where other like West Coast artists slide through,
- 38:53Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying, Because it's a few spots
- 38:56Speaker 6: that I didn't think, like I'm sure we go here
- 39:00Speaker 6: and like, uh Nebraska, Yeah, like yeah, we went through Nebraska,
- 39:08Speaker 6: going through Nebraska, we went through Nebraska, Idaho.
- 39:11Speaker 5: I knew it all these different spots.
- 39:12Speaker 4: You know what I mean.
- 39:13Speaker 5: And you know, the people came out, you know what
- 39:15Speaker 5: I mean.
- 39:16Speaker 6: So it was dope, Like even Atlanta, Like I was
- 39:19Speaker 6: sketchy about Atlanta. Atlanta was sold out, you know what
- 39:21Speaker 6: I mean. So yeah, I just I learned a lot
- 39:24Speaker 6: about what was going on and the work that we
- 39:26Speaker 6: was doing this year.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Which one do you like better?
- 39:28Speaker 3: Being booked as talent promoter or actually doing it yourself?
- 39:36Speaker 4: Y'all?
- 39:36Speaker 6: Kind of like doing it back because like a lot
- 39:39Speaker 6: of promoters like aren't really promoters, like you know what
- 39:43Speaker 6: I mean, Like you're running across somebody that want to
- 39:45Speaker 6: toss you some money, and then it's like like for
- 39:49Speaker 6: me right now, yeah, for me right now, bro, what's
- 39:52Speaker 6: more important? Like is the of course the money, Like
- 39:55Speaker 6: we're gonna get paid, but we got to make sure
- 39:57Speaker 6: this motherfucker filed up to you know what I'm saying. Like,
- 40:01Speaker 6: so a lot of promoters see me like I come
- 40:04Speaker 6: through a city it's sold out, and they just think
- 40:07Speaker 6: that they could have me posted on Instagram.
- 40:10Speaker 4: A couple of times and that's going to do it.
- 40:12Speaker 6: Yeah, so you know you run into it just you
- 40:16Speaker 6: just gotta just fuck with reptable people though, you know.
- 40:18Speaker 5: What I mean.
- 40:18Speaker 2: At the end of the day, it's interesting, like the
- 40:21Speaker 2: I remember growing up, promoters it was a thing like
- 40:23Speaker 2: they actually sold the shows, they marketed it.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Now promotions like you put the fire.
- 40:29Speaker 5: Up, that's like the money ain't bro, And can you
- 40:31Speaker 5: post the flying gun?
- 40:32Speaker 4: Can?
- 40:33Speaker 6: It's like, nigga, this is you have a job and
- 40:37Speaker 6: I have a job. My job is to come entertained
- 40:40Speaker 6: and I'm gonna come. I'm gonna promote also because I'm
- 40:43Speaker 6: into the overkill, you know what I mean. But a
- 40:47Speaker 6: lot of people don't understand their role. It's like it's
- 40:50Speaker 6: just like, damn, what's the world. I'm short on words,
- 40:54Speaker 6: like people just entitlement, Like like nigga, niggas just don't
- 40:59Speaker 6: understand what they're doing basically.
- 41:01Speaker 3: So as an independent artist, will you make most of
- 41:04Speaker 3: your money shows or actually selling music? Close close close,
- 41:10Speaker 3: that's more way than anything. Yeah, yeah, and all right,
- 41:13Speaker 3: so talk about that. So what's the what's the model
- 41:15Speaker 3: behind that.
- 41:18Speaker 5: The actual brand or just like how we're moving it, how.
- 41:21Speaker 4: You moving it.
- 41:22Speaker 5: So it's like we started off just with like the scarcity.
- 41:27Speaker 4: Like West Side Gun.
- 41:29Speaker 6: Yeah, so scarcity like to just get people to run
- 41:33Speaker 6: through as opposed to over a week period.
- 41:37Speaker 5: Nigga, we want everything. So this weekend, you know what
- 41:40Speaker 5: I'm saying, or a matter of.
- 41:41Speaker 4: Fact, Friday limited drop, you know what I mean.
- 41:43Speaker 6: Yeah, So, which is like the limited the limited drop
- 41:48Speaker 6: starts off small and then the limited drop goes from
- 41:51Speaker 6: maybe two hundred pieces to five hundred to one thousand
- 41:55Speaker 6: to a couple thousand, and it's still a limited drop,
- 41:58Speaker 6: but these pieces is gone quick as shit, you know
- 42:00Speaker 6: what I'm saying. So like just promoting through you know, scarcity,
- 42:04Speaker 6: and then like just continue promoting the the idealism behind
- 42:10Speaker 6: the brand and the lifestyle behind the brand.
- 42:12Speaker 5: You know what I mean.
- 42:13Speaker 6: And blue T shirt is pretty much like a progressive
- 42:17Speaker 6: lifestyle brand.
- 42:18Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 42:19Speaker 4: Blue T shirt? What is that? Is that? Is that
- 42:21Speaker 4: a gang reference?
- 42:22Speaker 6: Nah, it's not at all.
- 42:28Speaker 5: It's basically just perception.
- 42:29Speaker 6: Look like we were saying earlier, like as far as
- 42:32Speaker 6: the resentment and then you know, just different ship Like
- 42:35Speaker 6: that blue T shirt is similar to me walking into
- 42:39Speaker 6: a circle of the homies like, hey, uh, we could
- 42:42Speaker 6: make fucking ten million with this rap shit. All you
- 42:45Speaker 6: gotta do is this this this man. Hell no, I
- 42:48Speaker 6: ain't doing this ship. That shit ain't gonna work, you
- 42:50Speaker 6: know what I mean. So it's like just ship that
- 42:53Speaker 6: I experienced, is you know, the idealism behind blue T shirt?
- 42:58Speaker 6: Like nothing is blue. I mean sometimes it ain't even
- 43:01Speaker 6: a T shirt, but it's blue T shirt still though
- 43:04Speaker 6: it is a blue T shirt, you know what I mean,
- 43:07Speaker 6: Because I'm making it happen.
- 43:08Speaker 5: I can make it happen, so you just.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Makes sense right.
- 43:11Speaker 2: So like if it's a limited drop, I'm assuming now
- 43:14Speaker 2: when I go to the shows, I know who the
- 43:15Speaker 2: real supporters are because most times they're gonna have the
- 43:18Speaker 2: blue Yeah.
- 43:19Speaker 5: Bhir, bring on? Yeah, how do these cities like that.
- 43:22Speaker 6: Shit feel good to want you hit a different city
- 43:25Speaker 6: and niggas already got.
- 43:27Speaker 4: You're selling stuff at the Yeah for sure at the
- 43:30Speaker 4: core audience.
- 43:31Speaker 2: How do how do we envision this? Because you said
- 43:33Speaker 2: that there's a big vision this too. It's a two
- 43:35Speaker 2: part question. Can the can that vision be fully executed
- 43:40Speaker 2: while in La, right or do you have to actually navigate.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Throughout that globe?
- 43:46Speaker 6: You definitely have to navigate throughout the globe. Now, LA
- 43:49Speaker 6: is a big market. It's an important market. It's a
- 43:52Speaker 6: market that you got to have, especially being from La.
- 43:55Speaker 6: But it's you know, if you don't step outside of that,
- 44:00Speaker 6: then you just like it's a seling, you know what
- 44:02Speaker 6: I mean, It's definitely a ceiling.
- 44:04Speaker 5: So you definitely gotta like step out.
- 44:07Speaker 6: And move around and spread the message and connect and
- 44:11Speaker 6: learn new ship in different ways to do ship. Like
- 44:14Speaker 6: you can't know everything, but La niggas do know everything,
- 44:17Speaker 6: you know, I mean, So you know that's also something
- 44:21Speaker 6: that I had to overcome, like to l a nigga,
- 44:24Speaker 6: the crypt nigga in me. You know what I'm saying that, Yeah,
- 44:27Speaker 6: fuck that, you know what I'm saying. So, yeah, you
- 44:29Speaker 6: definitely we definitely got to step out. So you know,
- 44:32Speaker 6: we're moving around and I'll speak a little bit more
- 44:36Speaker 6: about what we're doing right now later, but yeah, right now,
- 44:38Speaker 6: we you know, we outside the box for sure.
- 44:41Speaker 2: When you said Idaho, I'm thinking to myself, if there's
- 44:44Speaker 2: people in Idaho, there's definitely people in the UK. Yeah,
- 44:47Speaker 2: definitely people in Paris and and Lakos not.
- 44:50Speaker 6: So we sent shit to We sent shit to London, Japan,
- 44:57Speaker 6: a few like Vancouver. I ain't really he been, like,
- 45:00Speaker 6: I ain't been doing the orders in about a year.
- 45:03Speaker 6: But when I was doing the orders myself, like these
- 45:05Speaker 6: were spots that we were saying, sh it to its direct,
- 45:08Speaker 6: like a direct, So I got everything at.
- 45:11Speaker 4: One spot, it gets sent there.
- 45:14Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, So I got somebody that come through.
- 45:17Speaker 6: He come through once a week, ship everything, you know
- 45:20Speaker 6: what I mean. And when we do drops, you know
- 45:23Speaker 6: what we're doing like more consistent drops now, So yeah,
- 45:26Speaker 6: he comes through it once a week. Get the orders out.
- 45:30Speaker 6: And then I got the studio right there, were working.
- 45:32Speaker 6: I got my camera guy right here. We could shoot
- 45:35Speaker 6: a video at anytime. We shoot an episode. We're about
- 45:39Speaker 6: to start season three of uh you know my vlog,
- 45:42Speaker 6: so you know, why isn't.
- 45:44Speaker 5: We vertically integrated?
- 45:46Speaker 4: Integrated?
- 45:49Speaker 3: So talk about the content the vlog and why is
- 45:54Speaker 3: that important?
- 45:55Speaker 4: And who's idea was that?
- 45:59Speaker 5: I want to say, is my idea? You know what
- 46:02Speaker 5: I mean?
- 46:02Speaker 6: I'm not I can't say if somebody is like, you
- 46:04Speaker 6: need to vlog and I was like, yeah, but for
- 46:07Speaker 6: the most part, is my idea. And I just feel
- 46:11Speaker 6: like people need to like see the lifestyle, you know
- 46:14Speaker 6: what I mean, people need to see what's going on
- 46:16Speaker 6: because I come from an era of if you know,
- 46:18Speaker 6: you know, nigga, like but this ain't the time if
- 46:22Speaker 6: you know you know, because it's so many motherfuckers they
- 46:25Speaker 6: show so you know, you know what I'm saying, And
- 46:27Speaker 6: that's the game, Like show me something, let me see
- 46:30Speaker 6: something like how is popping up on how many times
- 46:33Speaker 6: you popping up on here? And what are you doing?
- 46:36Speaker 6: And how it is you inspiring me nigga? And why
- 46:38Speaker 6: do I want to fuck with you? You know what I'm saying?
- 46:40Speaker 5: Fuck what I heard? You know what I'm saying.
- 46:42Speaker 6: And then like the way that the street culture is
- 46:45Speaker 6: like just taking it like nasty turn right now, like
- 46:50Speaker 6: you got to put it out there, like where you
- 46:53Speaker 6: you know where you're coming from and what you represent,
- 46:56Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying. And then again that's like
- 46:59Speaker 6: lack of budget, like we don't got like millions to
- 47:02Speaker 6: spend at one time, not yet, you know what I'm saying.
- 47:04Speaker 6: And it like in this next run, we will you
- 47:07Speaker 6: know what I'm saying, And we're still gonna flood like that,
- 47:10Speaker 6: but you know, we gotta give it to them, you
- 47:13Speaker 6: know what I mean.
- 47:13Speaker 2: So it's more music, more content, is the Blue T
- 47:18Speaker 2: Shirt brand? Is it more items as well?
- 47:22Speaker 6: Is that part of the playing So yeah, so this
- 47:24Speaker 6: year we're moving into items like uh, like backpacks, household items,
- 47:32Speaker 6: you know what I mean, have real estate in people
- 47:34Speaker 6: house that's always good. Were just looking to create a
- 47:37Speaker 6: brand like that people could really live by, you know
- 47:40Speaker 6: what I mean, just for a lifestyle, like everything you
- 47:43Speaker 6: do in Blue T Shirt could be involved.
- 47:46Speaker 4: So essentially your music is a commercial for the clothing.
- 47:50Speaker 1: For sure.
- 47:50Speaker 4: Clothing is number one priority.
- 47:52Speaker 6: Yeah, clothing and touring is like neck and neck, you
- 47:58Speaker 6: know what I mean. Yeah, but like clothing like smoking
- 48:01Speaker 6: everything though, honestly, and like you say, the music is
- 48:06Speaker 6: a commercial for the brand. That's crazy, that's what like,
- 48:09Speaker 6: that's what Jigga told me. That's what em Emery told me.
- 48:13Speaker 4: Well, because you know, you know what's funny about that,
- 48:15Speaker 4: because who told us that was Dame? Yeah, so Dan,
- 48:22Speaker 4: that was Dan told us that.
- 48:23Speaker 3: He was like, yo, when he does his movies, he
- 48:25Speaker 3: was like, Yo, I'm wearing I'm wearing my clothes. He's like,
- 48:27Speaker 3: this ship is an hour long commercial for me to
- 48:30Speaker 3: promote my my marijuana, promote my clothes, promote my liquor.
- 48:33Speaker 3: Like I could promote everything like within the hour without
- 48:36Speaker 3: you even knowing.
- 48:37Speaker 4: I'm really promoting it exactly.
- 48:38Speaker 6: And that's what we're getting into movies Hotshot too with
- 48:42Speaker 6: DJ Drammas on the way, and we got a movie
- 48:45Speaker 6: coming with that. And like you said, that's a commercial
- 48:48Speaker 6: for the brand. I mean it's a commercial for the
- 48:50Speaker 6: brand and myself and just everything that I represent.
- 48:56Speaker 2: So who are who is some of your your icons
- 48:59Speaker 2: or some people that you love to looked up to
- 49:01Speaker 2: inside the world of brand buildings? Well, I guess slash
- 49:05Speaker 2: Fashion because I feel like we have this conversation with
- 49:07Speaker 2: Berner and his thing was the merch, the merch, the merch. Yeah, Torow,
- 49:11Speaker 2: marijuana's cool, but the merch, the merch, merch and I'm
- 49:13Speaker 2: in it from you.
- 49:13Speaker 1: It was the merch. The merch.
- 49:15Speaker 3: Yeah, you know Burner makes more money off off of
- 49:17Speaker 3: merch than cookies.
- 49:18Speaker 4: Did you know that? Yeah? For sure? You know that.
- 49:21Speaker 5: Hell yeah yeah Burner.
- 49:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I was surprised. I didn't think I wouldn't. I
- 49:25Speaker 4: wouldn't have that.
- 49:25Speaker 6: Cookies just that cookies booming man for sure. But yeah,
- 49:31Speaker 6: people like Berner, you know what I mean. It's it's
- 49:36Speaker 6: so many different designers bro that I'm inspired by, and
- 49:40Speaker 6: just people that got brands like we. That's like a
- 49:43Speaker 6: whole hour long conversation right there. Like, but I would
- 49:47Speaker 6: just say, I'm just I'm just inspired by like success
- 49:51Speaker 6: and like with me, success don't always mean who made the.
- 49:55Speaker 5: Most money that year, you know what I'm saying.
- 49:57Speaker 6: It's kind of like who made the most impact that year,
- 50:00Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying, And who touched the most people,
- 50:03Speaker 6: which ultimately equals dollar signs, you know what I'm saying.
- 50:08Speaker 4: So who inspires your fashion? Because I see you got
- 50:11Speaker 4: the Chuckers on us very vintage New York What Chuck is?
- 50:15Speaker 4: I mean the constructions?
- 50:16Speaker 1: Whoa shoty shy?
- 50:19Speaker 4: My boy, that's a New York thing. Not an l
- 50:26Speaker 4: a thing. Well he knew he was coming here, That's
- 50:28Speaker 4: what I'm getting that.
- 50:28Speaker 6: Now I had something else on, like I slid through soaps.
- 50:33Speaker 6: So we went around the corner to do something before this,
- 50:35Speaker 6: and I was trying to go do some shopping before
- 50:38Speaker 6: I jet it, and I just only I wasn't feeling
- 50:41Speaker 6: the jays I had on. I'm like, I need some
- 50:44Speaker 6: tims with this, you know what I'm saying. That's gonna
- 50:47Speaker 6: set me off.
- 50:47Speaker 5: Right, went around there and then I was trying to
- 50:51Speaker 5: make it to evisual.
- 50:53Speaker 6: But uh yeah, man, Bro, the fashion is inspired by
- 50:59Speaker 6: like multiituel the people.
- 51:01Speaker 4: Bro, You've been in the fashion for a long time.
- 51:04Speaker 5: I mean I've been getting fly for a long time.
- 51:06Speaker 6: And but this is my thing though, like like real
- 51:09Speaker 6: fashion people and fashionable people like kind of look at me,
- 51:13Speaker 6: like you know what I'm saying, because I'm like just
- 51:15Speaker 6: like a fly street guy. Like it's not necessarily fashionable.
- 51:20Speaker 4: Like fashion show type.
- 51:21Speaker 6: Yeah if that makes sense, you know what I mean.
- 51:24Speaker 6: I'm just like just a fly street you know. We're
- 51:26Speaker 6: in looking tour runway show if necessary occasionally. Yeah, Like
- 51:33Speaker 6: I'm an I'm gonna mix it to like to where
- 51:36Speaker 6: you could I still look like a South Central guy.
- 51:38Speaker 3: I was about this, ask you that that's what I
- 51:40Speaker 3: was getting at. So New York obviously it's the home
- 51:44Speaker 3: of fashion. We can say, right, we can say yeah.
- 51:53Speaker 4: For sure. So it's like that's part of the culture.
- 51:55Speaker 3: Like you had to get dressed everybody you know in
- 51:58Speaker 3: middle school, high school, it was like, you know, but
- 52:00Speaker 3: I feel like LA, that's not the same culture, right,
- 52:03Speaker 3: It's not the same pressure to get fly.
- 52:06Speaker 5: LA, Like, well you got fly niggas in LA. You
- 52:11Speaker 5: know what I'm saying. It's just not like fashion fly driven.
- 52:15Speaker 4: It's not like super focused on that. Yeah.
- 52:18Speaker 6: Yeah, it's not fashion like high fashion driven. It's just
- 52:22Speaker 6: like just clean fly ship, you know what I'm saying.
- 52:26Speaker 5: You know what I mean.
- 52:27Speaker 6: And it's it's pretty much a uniform in LA, like
- 52:30Speaker 6: if you want an inner city type shit, you know
- 52:32Speaker 6: what I'm saying.
- 52:34Speaker 3: So let me ask you to speaking of law, how
- 52:38Speaker 3: big of a role was Nipsey Hustle to the city
- 52:42Speaker 3: of LA. I mean, obviously everybody you know appreciated him
- 52:44Speaker 3: all over the world, but in LA, like you know,
- 52:48Speaker 3: just from hearing from you and talking to Blast and
- 52:50Speaker 3: different people from LA, that wasn't even a part of
- 52:53Speaker 3: his immediate in the circle, but I could just see
- 52:55Speaker 3: different influences. Like how how impactful was that to actually
- 52:59Speaker 3: see his rise and his you know, rise to power.
- 53:03Speaker 6: Like Nip was like, See, the thing about Nip was
- 53:07Speaker 6: like he was one of them niggas that that you're
- 53:11Speaker 6: gonna see on a block, like you gonna see him
- 53:14Speaker 6: out and then he like from like one of the
- 53:16Speaker 6: most notorious hids in La.
- 53:18Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying.
- 53:19Speaker 6: And he's there like front and center and you may
- 53:22Speaker 6: bump into him, like and then me and Nip used
- 53:25Speaker 6: to bump into each other all the time early morning,
- 53:27Speaker 6: you know what I mean. So he had dude, you're
- 53:29Speaker 6: gonna see. But he's from the culture, he's from the lifestyle,
- 53:35Speaker 6: and he's like.
- 53:36Speaker 5: Just a full at the stamp of what it is. Right.
- 53:41Speaker 6: But the twist is he's also like a nigga with
- 53:46Speaker 6: big vision that's making it happen outside the box. And
- 53:50Speaker 6: he's moving across the world and across the country and
- 53:53Speaker 6: he and you could see him in your face and
- 53:56Speaker 6: see he's doing great shit, you.
- 53:58Speaker 5: Know what I'm saying.
- 53:59Speaker 6: And like the city always loved them, you know what
- 54:01Speaker 6: I mean now people everywhere else that wasn't from this
- 54:04Speaker 6: shit probably didn't get it until after he passed away.
- 54:07Speaker 5: But like Nip was like.
- 54:11Speaker 6: Probably like one of the most influential niggas to like
- 54:14Speaker 6: ever come up out of La from our era and
- 54:17Speaker 6: probably the errors before and a few.
- 54:20Speaker 5: Errors after, you know what I'm saying.
- 54:21Speaker 6: Like, like his influence was unmatched, Like he inspired like
- 54:25Speaker 6: niggas that's like naturally posed to hate them, you know
- 54:28Speaker 6: what I'm saying. Like, and you know, the city loved them, bro,
- 54:32Speaker 6: Like I don't think it'd never be another, like never
- 54:36Speaker 6: ever like that. Nigga was just special, man Like he
- 54:42Speaker 6: was special, Like he was like the first motherfucker that
- 54:44Speaker 6: was like it's okay to think, it's okay to read
- 54:49Speaker 6: like I'm still I'm still a gangster, you know what
- 54:51Speaker 6: I mean. Like, but it's okay to bring all these
- 54:55Speaker 6: slashes into your game and you could still be here,
- 54:58Speaker 6: you know what I mean.
- 54:59Speaker 5: So oh yeah, yeah, I mean the influence is I
- 55:04Speaker 5: mean extremely strong.
- 55:05Speaker 2: It may not be another hymn, but I feel like
- 55:07Speaker 2: the influence, it's like the pot theory of I might
- 55:10Speaker 2: not be the roads that grew from concrete that theory
- 55:14Speaker 2: where it's like I might not change the world, but
- 55:15Speaker 2: I'll sparked the mind that does. I feel like there's
- 55:19Speaker 2: artists and maybe you know better from the city of
- 55:21Speaker 2: La more than just one that can carry that torch.
- 55:24Speaker 2: So like even what you're doing with the youth, I
- 55:25Speaker 2: feel like that's important. I feel like you creating brand,
- 55:28Speaker 2: that's important. You do a shows in La that's important.
- 55:32Speaker 2: We'll get to that, the novel theater. But like do
- 55:34Speaker 2: you feel that word pressure to carry that that legacy
- 55:38Speaker 2: or part of that legacy.
- 55:40Speaker 6: Because like at the end of the day, bro, like
- 55:42Speaker 6: Nip is his own man, is his own thing. He
- 55:45Speaker 6: had a vision of his own and you know, he
- 55:48Speaker 6: completed to a certain point it and it's then turned
- 55:51Speaker 6: into something else after he's gone. Like he did a
- 55:55Speaker 6: great thing, Like he created a like a forever brand,
- 55:59Speaker 6: you know what I mean, And like he inspired niggas
- 56:02Speaker 6: to create their own. So like I would never ever
- 56:06Speaker 6: in life, like even in soa bro or like lack
- 56:14Speaker 6: of better terms, and sow my own vision like trying
- 56:17Speaker 6: to walk in the next man's shoes.
- 56:19Speaker 2: Not walking in shoes, but sparked the next generation. Oh yeah, yeah, way, yeah, yeah.
- 56:24Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, so yeah, so yeah,
- 56:28Speaker 6: I definitely I don't think it's any pressure because like
- 56:32Speaker 6: what I learned from Bro is it is no like,
- 56:35Speaker 6: whatever my mission is and whatever I'm on, as long
- 56:38Speaker 6: as I'm like really glued to it and executing and
- 56:43Speaker 6: like really serious about it, I'm doing the right thing,
- 56:46Speaker 6: you know what I mean. Like, even if another thing
- 56:48Speaker 6: I learned is from Bro is even if people don't understand,
- 56:53Speaker 6: because it was a lot of people that didn't understand Bro,
- 56:55Speaker 6: you know what I mean. And even if people don't understan,
- 57:00Speaker 6: and I know that I'm doing the right thing in
- 57:02Speaker 6: my heart, my mind, and my soul, then I'm in
- 57:05Speaker 6: the right direction.
- 57:05Speaker 5: So there's no pressure.
- 57:07Speaker 3: Who's some of your favorite artists that's coming up out
- 57:09Speaker 3: the What the West got a lot of dope artists
- 57:12Speaker 3: that song you know, bubbling right now on like the
- 57:15Speaker 3: R and B side, like Todd Dollars on and Blast,
- 57:18Speaker 3: And then on the rap side.
- 57:20Speaker 4: Who's some of you know, people that you actually listen to.
- 57:24Speaker 6: Wally I think Wally going like like Wally did sense
- 57:28Speaker 6: say Bro? I think he gonna like change the world, honestly,
- 57:32Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying. In all honesty like bro
- 57:35Speaker 6: is like he just speaks from a whole different place
- 57:38Speaker 6: than everybody else. And it's like, you know, it's not
- 57:43Speaker 6: like selfish, like you know what I'm saying, Like he
- 57:46Speaker 6: really giving you him like uncut, unfiltered, like it's shit
- 57:50Speaker 6: you could feel, you know what I'm saying, and it
- 57:52Speaker 6: sounds great like Wally Dope Roochie Dope. It's like it's
- 57:56Speaker 6: a lot of people, man, I don't want to get
- 57:58Speaker 6: to name it people and leaving nobody out, like the
- 58:01Speaker 6: l A is definitely.
- 58:02Speaker 5: Bubbling right now, you know what I mean. And I'm
- 58:04Speaker 5: about to hit another like major wave.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Mhm, my brother.
- 58:10Speaker 4: Yeah, it's been real man.
- 58:11Speaker 1: We appreciate the construct construction teams first, let's do that.
- 58:14Speaker 5: The construction town. We appreciate the versa less. Yeah, for sure,
- 58:20Speaker 5: g B I G.
- 58:22Speaker 2: I felt like yo p p A very reminiscenting.
- 58:25Speaker 1: You knew the assignment, my brother. So from to New Yorkers,
- 58:29Speaker 1: who did you?
- 58:30Speaker 4: Who? God?
- 58:31Speaker 1: Who should appreciate you?
- 58:31Speaker 4: Who? You? Who did you grow up? You said you
- 58:34Speaker 4: grew up on a little wing.
- 58:35Speaker 5: Yeah, weezy wiz spader, you know what I mean?
- 58:40Speaker 4: Geezy g z g z uh.
- 58:44Speaker 5: The game you said Gucci game, French.
- 58:49Speaker 6: Yeah, like all these different people that was just flooding,
- 58:53Speaker 6: like just giving us content.
- 58:55Speaker 5: Like you know what I'm saying, that YouTube era.
- 58:58Speaker 3: Like that mid two thousand and two thousand and five,
- 59:00Speaker 3: that type of yeah.
- 59:01Speaker 5: Yeah and beyond Yeah. So it's just like just a
- 59:05Speaker 5: lot of people just.
- 59:06Speaker 4: Who's your goat, who's your great who's your who do
- 59:08Speaker 4: you think it's the go for you?
- 59:10Speaker 5: My goal?
- 59:11Speaker 4: Your goal?
- 59:12Speaker 3: Not like they seriously I would I would expect you
- 59:17Speaker 3: to say Wayne because most people from that era they
- 59:19Speaker 3: think Wayne is the greatest ever.
- 59:21Speaker 6: No, Wayne, Wayne the greatest, But like when like my goat,
- 59:25Speaker 6: like just like it's just more than just rap, like
- 59:28Speaker 6: he like Fody, Like of course I was near when
- 59:32Speaker 6: all that ship was dropping, but I'm a student of
- 59:34Speaker 6: the ship. And like he was like one of the
- 59:37Speaker 6: first niggas dropping consistent NonStop, and he was like a
- 59:41Speaker 6: major independent, you know what I mean.
- 59:43Speaker 5: He owned all this ship and then he got all these.
- 59:45Speaker 6: Different businesses and the niggas still tight, Like it's not
- 59:49Speaker 6: like other OG's when they drop ship, Like the youth
- 59:53Speaker 6: is still playing eat Fody, Like we still go crazy
- 59:56Speaker 6: when we see Fody, you know, what I'm saying, and
- 59:59Speaker 6: he I think he just like a great example of
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: like business and how to how to age and the
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: gang and still be the ship and still be successful
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: and do other ships. So yeah, forty man, that's my
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: final answer.
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: Shot shot after forty water.
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: Shout out to forty man. Good dude. We had him
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: on the show.
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: Ran into him a few times, said us some spirits nice,
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: good due South good due. All right, my brother, I
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: appreciate me. How can people follow you with social media
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: and all the.
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: Beg perico on pretty much everything.
- 1:00:34Speaker 4: It's summer all year round.
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: La La had rained for like three days and then
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: we're back to.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Trying to put the jet skis on the lake.
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: That's a fact. All right. Thank you gouys rocking once
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: for see you next week.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Peace, Peace, Peace.
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from l Salvador
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charge with
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 1:01:04Speaker 7: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 1:01:16Speaker 7: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 1:01:20Speaker 7: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 1:01:23Speaker 7: are here illegally, your next you will be fine nearly
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 1:01:31Speaker 7: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 1:01:35Speaker 7: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 1:01:38Speaker 7: Do what's right, leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 1:01:43Speaker 7: border and families will be protected.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security,
