Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: So we spoke previously on a on your relationship with God and how you can sometimes be under God, you can be a puppet of God, you can in a way be manipulating God, but there's an opposite approach.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: And what you'll come to learn is it seems like if that approach was so bad, if being under God is so bad, then the opposite approach would be the right way to go.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: But unfortunately, it is not that simple, and here's why life over God, it can be in various different ways.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: You have deism, the idea that there was a God, but he's no longer actively engaged in our world.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: Or you can be an atheist, you don't believe in God.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: But the crazy part is even Christians can live a life over God.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: A life over God means we need less, we need less God, we need Jesus, we need less Jesus, we need less of the Holy Spirit, we don't actually need Jesus in our life, we don't actually need a relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: And here's the scary part.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: If you don't believe in a devil, then either all that is bad is done to you by God, or it's done because of you.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: And so if you believe in a God where you are giving all the glory, you have to believe in the equal opposite, you have to believe in a devil, the devil who is doing all bad things.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: And some people might take it as a lack of accountability, and it's not because you can always be more in touch with your relationship with God than the devil, that's the difference.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: Life over God is church and Bible, studying his word, getting to know God.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: But those are the facts, and the facts aren't a relationship.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: If you watch and consume all of my content, all of Tony Boutros' content, all of the reborn podcast, then you will know the facts about me.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: You will know who Tony Boutros is, but you will not have a relationship with him.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: I will not know who you are.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: So it's the same thing with God.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: You're studying all up on him, but then one day you are at heaven's gates and he does not recognize you because you have never reached out to have a relationship with him.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: It works the same way.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: So, what can you do?
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: You need to have solitude time, you need to have time in solitude with God, talking with him, talking about your issues, your your shortcomings, being transparent, being honest, and accepting him as your God.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: Because the truth is, what you see and experience seem more real oftentimes.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: It's difficult to think that something that we cannot see, that we cannot hear, that we cannot smell, that we cannot touch, is more real than that that we can see, that we can experience.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: But that is how God works.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: You must put faith first.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: And here is the action step I would give you.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Read the Bible and talk.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: And not or read the Bible and talk with God to learn more about Him.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: Now, it can be difficult because as a Christian, we it's it's easy to think, oh, you know what?
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: I prayed today, so so God is giving me His glory.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: But we need to develop a relationship, and just reading the Bible is learning the facts, but not a relationship.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: I hope everyone here has a blessed evening.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: And look up this word, valor.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: Look this word up.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Have a blessed evening.
