- 0:01Speaker 1: Now, Ron Verb on NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Well, here we are on a Monday afternoon, August 24th,
- 0:10Speaker 2: 73 degrees. Ron Verb, NewsRadio 570 WKBN. How about this?
- 0:14Speaker 2: I mean, explain this one to me. It just doesn't
- 0:17Speaker 2: make a lick of sense to me. San Francisco 49ers
- 0:20Speaker 2: owner John Jed York was arrested in the Valley over
- 0:26Speaker 2: the weekend and found guilty of two misdemeanor charges involving
- 0:29Speaker 2: after court documents state that he responded to an undercover
- 0:32Speaker 2: law enforcement advertisement on a prostitution website. York was arrested
- 0:37Speaker 2: Sunday in East Palestine and posted $ 5, 000 bonds. An affidavit
- 0:42Speaker 2: states York responded to an ad on a known prostitution
- 0:45Speaker 2: website that, unbeknownst to him, was posted by an agent
- 0:50Speaker 2: with the Moaning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. The document
- 0:54Speaker 2: states that York arranged to have sexual activity with a
- 0:56Speaker 2: woman in exchange for He arrived at set location with
- 1:03Speaker 2: the phone he used to arrange the meeting and was
- 1:06Speaker 2: taken into custody. The police report lists the time and
- 1:10Speaker 2: location of the arrest as 9.35 a.m. at Wheat Hill
- 1:16Speaker 2: Mobile Home Community off State Route 170. York pleaded no
- 1:21Speaker 2: contest Monday morning to misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and
- 1:25Speaker 2: possessing criminal tools. I wonder what that means, I mean,
- 1:31Speaker 2: possessing criminal tools. He's the, I don't know, what does
- 1:37Speaker 2: that mean? Records state he was originally charged with engaging
- 1:42Speaker 2: in prostitution, but it was amended to disorderly conduct as
- 1:46Speaker 2: part of a plea agreement. Well, why was that pleaded down?
- 1:53Speaker 2: This is on WKBN's website. I mean, I don't understand
- 1:56Speaker 2: some of this stuff as I go through here. Do
- 2:00Speaker 2: you want to know the best? First of all, what
- 2:03Speaker 2: is a guy like this? Why is he going? He's
- 2:06Speaker 2: going on these websites. How many times over the years
- 2:14Speaker 2: have you seen these people engaging on these websites? Not
- 2:19Speaker 2: just here, but all over the country. And it's some
- 2:23Speaker 2: cop on the other end. I mean, it's gone on
- 2:27Speaker 2: this way for years. I mean, you see the news
- 2:31Speaker 2: stories about it. You see the reports about it. And
- 2:35Speaker 2: yet these idiots fall for it. And they show up
- 2:40Speaker 2: thinking they're going to have sex with somebody and they
- 2:43Speaker 2: get arrested. And it happens all the time, even though
- 2:52Speaker 2: these sting operations have been going on for the longest
- 2:55Speaker 2: period of time. It's just one of the dumbest things
- 2:57Speaker 2: you could possibly do. Now, why wouldn't he? I mean,
- 3:06Speaker 2: let's just let me speculate. Let's say he wanted to
- 3:10Speaker 2: have sex with a prostitute. He could easily get on
- 3:15Speaker 2: an airplane and fly to Las Vegas. He could fly
- 3:19Speaker 2: out there where this is legal. I'm sure he can
- 3:24Speaker 2: afford it. So I'm sitting back trying to figure all
- 3:29Speaker 2: of this out as I read this news story. I mean,
- 3:33Speaker 2: there's areas where prostitution is legal. So he could get
- 3:36Speaker 2: on a plane and fly out there. And he wouldn't
- 3:39Speaker 2: have to worry about this or the embarrassment. It would
- 3:42Speaker 2: be an easy thing to do. But he chose not
- 3:45Speaker 2: to do that. So he gets on a website where
- 3:51Speaker 2: they know, as I say, over the years, these sting operations.
- 3:54Speaker 2: That's a pretty good bet. It's not some woman talking
- 3:57Speaker 2: on the other end. And he gets caught by the cops.
- 4:03Speaker 2: And I'm thinking to myself, you want to know the
- 4:04Speaker 2: best pickup line that a man could possibly have? I
- 4:11Speaker 2: think it's a pretty good one, too.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I do.
- 4:15Speaker 2: You could say, hi, I'm John Judd York, and I'm
- 4:19Speaker 2: the owner of the 49ers. I think that's a pretty
- 4:22Speaker 2: powerful line. You know, I think that's a pretty powerful line.
- 4:31Speaker 2: So I'm just trying to figure all of this out.
- 4:33Speaker 2: I mean, I'm just reading this news story. He's a
- 4:37Speaker 2: nice looking guy. He's a nice looking guy. He's the
- 4:42Speaker 2: owner of the 49ers. And yet this guy's caught in
- 4:45Speaker 2: a prostitution sting ring. I don't understand. If that's what
- 4:55Speaker 2: you want to do sex wise, why wouldn't you go
- 4:57Speaker 2: where it's legal? I don't get that, but that's me.
- 5:03Speaker 2: I just don't understand it. And then, of course, how
- 5:07Speaker 2: does it go from York pleaded no contest Monday morning
- 5:14Speaker 2: to misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools?
- 5:18Speaker 2: Records say he was originally charged with engaging in prostitution.
- 5:22Speaker 2: How does it go from engaging in prostitution to disorderly
- 5:26Speaker 2: conduct as part of a plea agreement? I mean, doesn't
- 5:32Speaker 2: it seem, wouldn't it seem pretty obvious, the evidence? I
- 5:34Speaker 2: don't know. I'm asking. NFL says we are aware of
- 5:45Speaker 2: the matter which will be reviewed under personal conduct policy.
- 5:49Speaker 2: As this is a legal matter which has been resolved,
- 5:51Speaker 2: we will not be providing any further comment at this time.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Court records show York filed a motion to seal court
- 5:56Speaker 2: documents related to the incident. That motion was denied. York
- 6:00Speaker 2: was sentenced to two days in Columbiana County Jail to
- 6:03Speaker 2: be served concurrently. With credit for a day served, he
- 6:06Speaker 2: was also ordered to pay $ 1, 150 in.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Fines.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Court orders show that the cell phone was ordered to
- 6:14Speaker 2: return to York, but $ 160 seized shall be forfeited to
- 6:18Speaker 2: the Moaning Valley U.N. Trafficking Task Force as part of
- 6:21Speaker 2: his agreements. York is a Cardinal Mooney graduate and became
- 6:26Speaker 2: team president of the San Francisco 49ers in 2008. WKBN
- 6:33Speaker 2: has reached out to York's attorney for comment, but has
- 6:36Speaker 2: yet to hear back.
- 6:36Speaker 4: All right.
- 6:37Speaker 2: That's, I don't know. That's always interesting. 411 in the afternoon,
- 6:44Speaker 2: News Radio 570, WKBN, and Ron Verb, you're on air.
- 6:49Speaker 5: Hey, how are you doing this afternoon?
- 6:51Speaker 3: Good, sir.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Go ahead with your comments, please.
- 6:55Speaker 5: That whole thing with Mr. York, I mean, the criminal tools,
- 6:58Speaker 5: the human trafficking task force, there's probably a lot more
- 7:02Speaker 5: to it, Ron, that I'd hate to say it, but
- 7:07Speaker 5: to get on the East Coast.
- 7:09Speaker 2: What do they define? Criminal tools. All right. It's a
- 7:13Speaker 2: pretty good bet. If you're the owner of the 49ers,
- 7:16Speaker 2: you are more than likely not out breaking into somebody's garage,
- 7:19Speaker 2: wouldn't you think? I mean, what is that?
- 7:22Speaker 4: You would think. You would think.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't get that, in possession of criminal tools.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I mean, what would that be, a crowbar?
- 7:31Speaker 5: Let's hope it was only a crowbar and not duct
- 7:37Speaker 5: tape and other things.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Oh, well, I'd like to know more. I'd like to
- 7:42Speaker 2: know more. Possession of criminal tools, yeah. It doesn't make
- 7:46Speaker 2: sense to me, though. I mean, I'm not trying to
- 7:47Speaker 2: be a smartass here. I mean, I'm trying to tell you,
- 7:50Speaker 2: based on what I see, he's a nice-looking guy. He's
- 7:52Speaker 2: the owner of the 49ers. He could easily get on
- 7:55Speaker 2: a plane and go where prostitution is legal. I don't
- 7:59Speaker 2: know if he's married or has a girlfriend or anything.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I just don't understand. I guess it's just what some
- 8:04Speaker 2: guys are into, but it's– how's that a good idea?
- 8:07Speaker 2: You're going to drive down, engage in sex with some
- 8:13Speaker 2: woman supposedly in a trailer park for $ 140, and you've
- 8:17Speaker 2: got to know that the cops do this stuff all
- 8:19Speaker 2: the time.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Oh, absolutely. Absolutely.
- 8:24Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 8:25Speaker 2: And I would have to ask you, I mean, when
- 8:27Speaker 2: I say $ 140, what are prostitutes charging these days? I mean,
- 8:32Speaker 2: what do they charge, sir?
- 8:34Speaker 5: Well, fortunately, I don't know.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Oh, it was a trick question. I was setting you up.
- 8:38Speaker 2: That's all.
- 8:40Speaker 5: Especially the 140. You better hope you're not getting ruled
- 8:45Speaker 5: maybe at the same time, depending on where you're at.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Well, you know what comes with that? Sex and herpes
- 8:51Speaker 2: at the same time. You get the gift that keeps
- 8:53Speaker 2: on giving. There you go.
- 8:56Speaker 5: Very, very, very, very much so. Something else I wanted
- 9:00Speaker 5: to talk to you about.
- 9:01Speaker 6: You know what?
- 9:02Speaker 5: I am so sick and tired of the news media
- 9:04Speaker 5: letting Sherrod Brown get away like he was never in office.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Yes.
- 9:08Speaker 5: He started in 2015 supporting data centers, okay, which has
- 9:15Speaker 5: probably given him money to his campaigns, and now he's anti-dictation.
- 9:20Speaker 5: The man does nothing but lie and do nothing.
- 9:23Speaker 2: I don't know. Listen, I'm not opposed to people changing
- 9:27Speaker 2: their mind as they get more information about things. So
- 9:30Speaker 2: I don't know that that's lying as you get more information.
- 9:33Speaker 2: We are all getting more information about data centers as
- 9:36Speaker 2: time goes on. And we are learning a lot of
- 9:39Speaker 2: things as far as our electric bills going up and
- 9:42Speaker 2: maybe continuing to go up. I mean, I don't think
- 9:44Speaker 2: that Joe Bagadona should have to subsidize data centers as
- 9:48Speaker 2: far as their electric usage at their home and or
- 9:51Speaker 2: their water consumption. and you and you're starting.
- 9:54Speaker 5: On about the water yeah that's been kind of debunked
- 9:59Speaker 5: and if you're living next to a golf course they
- 10:02Speaker 5: use two times what a data center uses for water
- 10:05Speaker 5: yeah but usually people mention about.
- 10:07Speaker 2: That well i can answer that question a lot of
- 10:09Speaker 2: golf courses the sprinkling system runs out of a lake
- 10:12Speaker 2: that they have on the course they're not paying like
- 10:15Speaker 2: out of your uh residential service it'd be very expensive
- 10:18Speaker 2: to do that's.
- 10:20Speaker 5: It would, but the chemicals they put on the grass
- 10:22Speaker 5: to maintain it and look good leaches itself into the groundwater,
- 10:26Speaker 5: causing problems for people around that golf course to have
- 10:29Speaker 5: issues if they have a well, to have other issues
- 10:33Speaker 5: because of those chemicals. So they're not innocent in.
- 10:37Speaker 4: A lot of ways.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Well, yeah, but don't you, do you fertilize your lawn
- 10:41Speaker 2: and put on grub control? I do.
- 10:43Speaker 6: You may be right.
- 10:45Speaker 5: A lot of people do, and a lot of people don't.
- 10:48Speaker 4: I know.
- 10:48Speaker 5: But at the rate a golf course would be putting
- 10:51Speaker 5: it on there, it's probably double to triple what a
- 10:54Speaker 5: lawn owner would be putting on his lawn.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Right, but that's why golf courses don't have weeds and
- 11:02Speaker 2: are just very picturesque. Now, I do the same thing
- 11:07Speaker 2: over at Verb Manor. I don't necessarily do it. I
- 11:11Speaker 2: have this company called True Green that comes and does it.
- 11:14Speaker 4: Right, right.
- 11:16Speaker 5: And that's your choice.
- 11:18Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 11:19Speaker 3: Yes.
- 11:19Speaker 5: But, Ron, what my point is..
- 11:21Speaker 2: I don't want to see..
- 11:22Speaker 5: And the reason I brought it up..
- 11:23Speaker 2: You don't want dandelions in your yard, do you, sir?
- 11:27Speaker 6: No, I don't.
- 11:28Speaker 5: And I don't want the Chinese, which Bernie Sanders is
- 11:30Speaker 5: probably getting kickbacks to, to win the AI war, because
- 11:33Speaker 5: then we will truly be done.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Well, when it comes to these centers, I mean..
- 11:41Speaker 3: As.
- 11:46Speaker 2: You learn more about it, I mean, obviously they say
- 11:49Speaker 2: we're in a race with China over AI, but I
- 11:52Speaker 2: don't want to subsidize AI with your electric bill. It's
- 11:57Speaker 2: doubled for us here in Mahoning County. I don't want
- 11:59Speaker 2: to see a triple that we're subsidizing.
- 12:02Speaker 5: We subsidize football fields, like up in Cleveland.
- 12:05Speaker 4: Well..
- 12:06Speaker 2: I'm not for that either. Well, here's the deal with subsidizing.
- 12:12Speaker 2: They're going to use the unclaimed funds. It's supposedly a
- 12:15Speaker 2: loan that they're going to have to pay back. So
- 12:18Speaker 2: we shall see about that. But I would agree with you.
- 12:21Speaker 2: But I'm not for subsidizing. Why should my electric cost
- 12:24Speaker 2: twice as much or even more to subsidize an AI center?
- 12:29Speaker 2: Here's my thoughts on AI. Under no circumstances should they
- 12:32Speaker 2: get any tax abatement. If you want to build one,
- 12:35Speaker 2: they should be energy independent so that it doesn't increase
- 12:38Speaker 2: the cost of everyone on the grid, which it's doing.
- 12:41Speaker 2: And thirdly, what is the water consumption and what is
- 12:45Speaker 2: the pollution that comes from the water just for peace
- 12:48Speaker 2: of mind?
- 12:51Speaker 5: Like I brought up the golf course, I mean, there
- 12:53Speaker 5: are other things and the chemicals they use. I mean,
- 12:56Speaker 5: it's a fair debate. But as far as subsidizing them, No, Ron,
- 13:03Speaker 5: I agree with you. But at the same time, you know,
- 13:06Speaker 5: we have subsidized other things that really don't produce anything.
- 13:10Speaker 5: And I don't know if you missed it or not,
- 13:12Speaker 5: but President Trump and Lee Greenwood, not Greenwood, Lee Zeldin,
- 13:16Speaker 5: the EPA, gave these guys permission to build their own
- 13:19Speaker 5: substations for their power.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Right.
- 13:23Speaker 4: As far as.
- 13:24Speaker 5: The electric goes, under back in 2008, We had power
- 13:31Speaker 5: stations building stacks and mine scrubbers. They were putting out
- 13:37Speaker 5: cleaner water than they were taking in. And Obama drove
- 13:40Speaker 5: all those out.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Well, I know.
- 13:41Speaker 5: Which drove up your electric.
- 13:43Speaker 2: I know.
- 13:43Speaker 5: Because coal being evil. So there are other issues as
- 13:47Speaker 5: to why your power is so expensive.
- 13:49Speaker 2: I know.
- 13:50Speaker 5: It's like down in Toronto, and they got rid of
- 13:52Speaker 5: that power plant. So these data centers are going to
- 13:56Speaker 5: build their own substations, which... BPA has approved under President
- 14:01Speaker 5: Trump and they're doing it. And then they sell back
- 14:04Speaker 5: to the grid.
- 14:05Speaker 4: That's a good thing.
- 14:05Speaker 3: All right.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Thank you. Appreciate it.
- 14:08Speaker 5: Think about what I said.
- 14:09Speaker 2: I'm going to dwell on it.
- 14:10Speaker 5: The people leading this charge for Bernie Sanders is one
- 14:14Speaker 5: in his pocket for China.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Well, people can disagree and not be pro-China. It is
- 14:22Speaker 2: okay in the United States of America to disagree with
- 14:26Speaker 2: some of the stuff that Trump stands for with AI centers.
- 14:30Speaker 2: It's okay to say, how many of these do we need?
- 14:33Speaker 2: What's the benefit from it? How many people's jobs will
- 14:36Speaker 2: be replaced as a result of it? What are the
- 14:39Speaker 2: effects as far as the power that is drawn? What
- 14:41Speaker 2: are the effects as far as the water usage that
- 14:44Speaker 2: is needed on these AI centers? It's okay to ask
- 14:48Speaker 2: those questions. You're on the air.
- 14:52Speaker 4: Hello.
- 14:55Speaker 2: You're back on hold. You're on the air. Hello. I'm
- 15:02Speaker 2: moving as quick as I can here.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Are you there?
- 15:09Speaker 2: Apparently not. Okay. You're on the air.
- 15:12Speaker 4: How are you doing?
- 15:15Speaker 2: I'm okay.
- 15:17Speaker 4: This York guy.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Yes.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Who cares?
- 15:22Speaker 2: I do. I do.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Oh, that's good. Now, Denny, was it Denny from Rock Creek?
- 15:29Speaker 4: He says Reagan was a very intelligent person. Well, to Denny,
- 15:35Speaker 4: anybody's an intelligent person.
- 15:37Speaker 6: Come on.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Now, sir, that's a vicious thing to say. Well..
- 15:43Speaker 4: I'll get more vicious.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Well, you should let the kinder side of yourself.
- 15:48Speaker 4: And also, has Verb Manner been renamed Trump Manner?
- 15:53Speaker 3: I know.
- 15:54Speaker 4: He might have got his name in there and had
- 15:57Speaker 4: his picture in the front of your house.
- 15:59Speaker 2: You know, maybe he is. Maybe I should look. Maybe
- 16:02Speaker 2: it's his Verb Trump Manner.
- 16:04Speaker 4: Well, yeah, yeah, the combination.
- 16:07Speaker 2: I better look because Kennedy Center, although his name was
- 16:11Speaker 2: taken off and they tried to get it back on
- 16:13Speaker 2: and they haven't been successful in that. I do have
- 16:15Speaker 2: a beef with Trump wanting to put his name on everything,
- 16:18Speaker 2: but I'm going to check my house and see if
- 16:19Speaker 2: his name's on it.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Yeah, your golf courses generally have water wells on them anyway.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Right, and they have ponds that they usually draw.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Right, exactly.
- 16:29Speaker 2: I think that guy hated golf, don't you?
- 16:33Speaker 4: Maybe he had a hole in one one time in
- 16:35Speaker 4: his lap and he didn't like it. I'll talk to you. Goodbye.
- 16:38Speaker 2: I think he was probably a lot of bogeys. I
- 16:42Speaker 2: doubt if he ever had a hole in one. I
- 16:43Speaker 2: think he just hated golf and golf courses. But there's
- 16:49Speaker 2: a legitimate debate going on on AI centers. There's a
- 16:53Speaker 2: legitimate one and it should continue to go on. A
- 16:56Speaker 2: lot of people say they don't want him in neighborhoods.
- 17:01Speaker 2: There are two sides. to the AI Debates. We'll be back.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Here's a great employment opportunity if you're looking for a

- 18:11Speaker 2: Mike Rowe here with a random fest. News, weather, and
- 18:15Speaker 2: talk station, 570 WKBN. All right, News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 18:19Speaker 2: A lot of people email me saying when they say
- 18:23Speaker 2: York was charged with criminal tools that People are saying
- 18:28Speaker 2: it was his phone used to set up the encounter. So, okay.
- 18:33Speaker 2: That's what some people are speculating. Let's see. San Francisco
- 18:39Speaker 2: 49ers owner John Jed York was arrested in a valley
- 18:41Speaker 2: over the weekend and found guilty of two misdemeanor charges
- 18:44Speaker 2: after court documents state he responded to an undercover law
- 18:47Speaker 2: enforcement advertisement on a prostitution website. I always, like I said,
- 18:52Speaker 2: I just shake my head how many people just fall
- 18:54Speaker 2: for this when for years you see these sting operations.
- 18:58Speaker 2: York was arrested Sunday in East Palestine and posted a
- 19:00Speaker 2: $ 5, 000 bond. Affidavit states York responded to an ad on
- 19:04Speaker 2: a known prostitution website that unbeknownst to him was posted
- 19:07Speaker 2: by an agent with the Moaning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Document states that York arranged to have sexual activity with
- 19:14Speaker 2: a woman for $ 140. Hmm. He arrived at a set
- 19:24Speaker 2: location with the phone he used to arrange the meeting
- 19:26Speaker 2: and was taken into custody. Police report lists the time
- 19:29Speaker 2: and location of the arrest, 9.35 a.m. at Wheat Hill
- 19:32Speaker 2: Mobile Home Community off State Route 176. Eric, please no
- 19:36Speaker 2: contest Monday morning. That would be today, right? Two misdemeanor
- 19:40Speaker 2: charges of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools. It's tools, plural,
- 19:46Speaker 2: so it would be just as following. Records state that
- 19:50Speaker 2: he was originally charged with engaging in prostitution, but it
- 19:53Speaker 2: was amended to disorderly conduct as part of a plea agreement.
- 19:59Speaker 2: I mean, why would you plea that down? Isn't it obvious?
- 20:02Speaker 2: I don't know. WKBN reached out to the NFL requesting
- 20:06Speaker 2: comment on York's arrest and received the following statements. We
- 20:10Speaker 2: are aware of the matter, which will be under review
- 20:12Speaker 2: for personal conduct policy. As this is a legal matter,
- 20:15Speaker 2: which has to be resolved, we will not be providing
- 20:16Speaker 2: any further comment.
- 20:19Speaker 4: All right.
- 20:19Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 20:22Speaker 6: Hi. Are we talking about flock cameras anymore?
- 20:25Speaker 2: Yeah, we're talking about prostitution and flock cameras. Which would
- 20:30Speaker 2: you like to talk about?
- 20:31Speaker 6: I don't know anything about prostitution. I've just never been
- 20:35Speaker 6: into it myself.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Well, why do you think a guy that they say the..
- 20:38Speaker 6: I have no idea. People are just... There's so many
- 20:44Speaker 6: things I don't understand what people do.
- 20:46Speaker 2: It's very confusing, isn't it?
- 20:49Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I don't know. Sex must be really,
- 20:51Speaker 6: really a stronger draw than, you know, whatever.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean, the thought of saying... I'm going
- 20:59Speaker 2: to pay this person to have sex with me, doesn't
- 21:01Speaker 2: want to have sex with me. I mean, I don't
- 21:03Speaker 2: find that very appealing.
- 21:06Speaker 6: Well, I'm glad it doesn't appeal to you. It wouldn't
- 21:09Speaker 6: appeal to me, and I certainly hope and hope that
- 21:12Speaker 6: it never would have appealed to my husband.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Well, did you have, how long were you married?
- 21:17Speaker 6: Oh, well, almost 50 years.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Has he passed away? Yes.
- 21:22Speaker 6: Really? Really?
- 21:25Speaker 2: How long have you been widowed? How long have you
- 21:27Speaker 2: been widowed?
- 21:28Speaker 6: About 16 years.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Do you miss them every day?
- 21:33Speaker 6: Honestly?
- 21:34Speaker 4: Yes.
- 21:35Speaker 6: I miss them sometimes, but I can't say every day.
- 21:39Speaker 2: I love your honesty. After 16 years, you move on
- 21:42Speaker 2: a little. The memory fades.
- 21:50Speaker 6: Yeah, well, there are things I miss. I miss having
- 21:52Speaker 6: somebody to sit and read the paper in the morning
- 21:55Speaker 6: and talk about news with.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Have you ever thought about snagging another guy?
- 22:03Speaker 6: I do not want to take care of another old man.
- 22:07Speaker 6: And most men that want to get married at my
- 22:09Speaker 6: age want a nursemaid, a house cleaner, and maybe a
- 22:12Speaker 6: bank account.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Really?
- 22:14Speaker 6: I don't want to be out. Oh, I think so.
- 22:16Speaker 2: How old are you?
- 22:17Speaker 4: 85.
- 22:18Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Well, you'd want a younger guy anyway, wouldn't you?
- 22:23Speaker 6: Well, that's true.
- 22:25Speaker 4: I mean, but..
- 22:26Speaker 6: I don't know. I don't, you know... I cannot imagine
- 22:29Speaker 6: anymore adjusting my life to someone else.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Really?
- 22:33Speaker 6: Really.
- 22:35Speaker 2: So you're kind of..
- 22:35Speaker 6: And then you get into families. He has a family.
- 22:38Speaker 6: You have a family. It gets hard enough with family
- 22:41Speaker 6: trying to figure out holidays, where you spend it, and
- 22:44Speaker 6: so on. I just don't need that at a Additional aggravation.
- 22:49Speaker 2: You seem like you're very good. You make a lot
- 22:51Speaker 2: of good points. You're very content with your life at
- 22:54Speaker 2: this stage in it. I mean, you make a lot
- 22:55Speaker 2: of sense to me.
- 22:57Speaker 6: I am. And can I tell you about why flock
- 22:59Speaker 6: cameras are all the big thing now?
- 23:01Speaker 2: Yes, please.
- 23:02Speaker 6: Because of ICE. ICE. It started with the people that
- 23:07Speaker 6: were anti-ICE. They started saying, they're going to use those
- 23:11Speaker 6: flock cameras to catch illegals.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Oh, stand by for me. Stand by there. Hang on, okay?
- 23:15Speaker 2: Just hang on. I want to get back to her.
- 23:17Speaker 2: There's an interesting woman right there. I want to get
- 23:20Speaker 2: back to her right after this. Stay tuned. News Radio

- 25:43Speaker 3: 85.
- 25:45Speaker 6: I'll put 86.
- 25:47Speaker 2: And she has no desire to get married again. She's
- 25:50Speaker 2: not going to take care of some old, decrepit guy, right?
- 25:55Speaker 5: Right.
- 25:56Speaker 6: I did that. And I've been with him for 50 years,
- 26:00Speaker 6: so that's a whole different matter. I don't want to
- 26:03Speaker 6: marry somebody and two years later he's got a stroke
- 26:05Speaker 6: or he's got cancer or whatever. I don't want to
- 26:08Speaker 6: sound selfish, but.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Maybe I am. How's your health?
- 26:14Speaker 6: It's very good. I... Last time I saw my doctor
- 26:18Speaker 6: this summer, she said, well, let's make your appointment for
- 26:20Speaker 6: next year. And I said, are you that optimistic? And
- 26:22Speaker 6: she said, I could make your appointment for the next
- 26:24Speaker 6: 10 years.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Really?
- 26:27Speaker 4: Really.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Now, I went to, you know, I recently saw my doctor.
- 26:32Speaker 2: And he said, well, you know, he asked me all
- 26:36Speaker 2: these questions. You know, as you get older, your bowel
- 26:39Speaker 2: movements and that stuff and that. I said, doctor, you know,
- 26:42Speaker 2: I have a bowel movement every morning at 6 a.m.
- 26:45Speaker 2: And he said, well, that's good. And I said, but
- 26:47Speaker 2: the problem, doc, is I don't wake up till 7 a.m.
- 26:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I've heard that one before. That's an old one.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Well, I'm an old one, too. I know, but not
- 26:57Speaker 2: as old as I am. All right, so you're physically
- 27:01Speaker 2: in good shape. You don't have any problems.
- 27:04Speaker 6: Not really. I don't take any medication.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Are you able to drive?
- 27:07Speaker 3: Really?
- 27:07Speaker 2: You don't take any medication? Of course.
- 27:10Speaker 6: I take a lot of vitamins.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Well, really? Do they make a difference, do you think?
- 27:15Speaker 6: No, but, you know.
- 27:16Speaker 2: You ever smoke?
- 27:17Speaker 6: I have to say something. No, I never did.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Ever drink?
- 27:22Speaker 6: Well, of course. Well, I can say of course, but yes,
- 27:24Speaker 6: I still break drink.
- 27:27Speaker 2: What do you drink?
- 27:29Speaker 6: Oh, beer and wine, basically. Sometimes gin.
- 27:32Speaker 2: But not a lot?
- 27:33Speaker 6: Or a margarita.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Really?
- 27:35Speaker 6: No, socially.
- 27:37Speaker 2: I see. And you still drive? I mean, you're able
- 27:41Speaker 2: to drive.
- 27:42Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 27:42Speaker 2: And you don't mistake the brake for the gas and
- 27:45Speaker 2: vice versa.
- 27:46Speaker 6: Not so far.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Really? How about this? And do you enjoy each day
- 27:53Speaker 2: to its fullest?
- 27:56Speaker 6: I don't have enough hours in the day to do
- 27:57Speaker 6: everything I want to do.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Is that right?
- 28:01Speaker 6: Right now I'm getting ready to go out and mow
- 28:03Speaker 6: my lawn. If it doesn't rain.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Look at you.
- 28:06Speaker 6: I feel like I'm living in a monsoon area.
- 28:13Speaker 2: It does feel that way, doesn't it? But look at you.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Look at you. You know, you are a woman that says,
- 28:20Speaker 2: I'm going to go mow my own yard.
- 28:22Speaker 6: All my friends are the same. I have a friend
- 28:24Speaker 6: who's 94. She plays golf twice a week.
- 28:28Speaker 2: You know how many women can't mow their own grass
- 28:30Speaker 2: and that kind of stuff? And look at you. You're
- 28:31Speaker 2: doing it at 85 and enjoying it.
- 28:33Speaker 6: Well, I've done it since I was 11. My dad said, okay,
- 28:37Speaker 6: you're big enough. And that was a push mower.
- 28:40Speaker 4: Right.
- 28:41Speaker 6: He said, you can take over the lawn care now.
- 28:44Speaker 6: And then my husband was not big into it, so
- 28:46Speaker 6: I almost always did the lawn mowing.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Now, do you fix anything around the house?
- 28:52Speaker 6: Of course.
- 28:53Speaker 2: You're good at that, too.
- 28:55Speaker 6: Yep.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Well, see, you're a unique person.
- 29:00Speaker 6: See, I don't think so. All my friends are about
- 29:03Speaker 6: the same.
- 29:03Speaker 2: They are like you. Now, are they all widows as well?
- 29:09Speaker 6: Pretty much, yeah. Not all of them. I have a
- 29:11Speaker 6: few friends that are, but most of us are.
- 29:14Speaker 2: And what do you guys do?
- 29:15Speaker 6: By the time you get into this point, you've just,
- 29:17Speaker 6: you know, you men don't take good enough care of
- 29:19Speaker 6: yourselves or something. I don't know.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so what do you girls do? Go out and eat?
- 29:26Speaker 2: We do.
- 29:27Speaker 6: We go out. We play cards. I play a lot
- 29:29Speaker 6: of bridge. I volunteer at the local historical society. I
- 29:34Speaker 6: do things at church. As I said, I work around
- 29:38Speaker 6: my yard. I'm big into genealogy. Anything to keep my
- 29:41Speaker 6: mind going.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Isn't that something? How long did you have long your
- 29:49Speaker 2: family tree? I mean, did your mother and father live long?
- 29:54Speaker 6: Well, my dad did not, but my mother lived to
- 29:56Speaker 6: be 96. A lot of Most of my family lived
- 30:00Speaker 6: into their 90s. I mean, even like great aunts and
- 30:03Speaker 6: uncles who probably never saw a doctor until they were
- 30:06Speaker 6: in their 60s. Still lived into their 90s.
- 30:08Speaker 2: And when you go get blood work, you don't need
- 30:10Speaker 2: any cholesterol medication? You don't take any medication for anything?
- 30:13Speaker 6: No, no, no, no, no.
- 30:15Speaker 2: You ever have any major surgery? Nope.
- 30:20Speaker 6: Well, I've had two knees replaced. Two knees replaced.
- 30:25Speaker 2: That can be brutal.
- 30:27Speaker 6: Not really.
- 30:27Speaker 5: Really?
- 30:28Speaker 6: I didn't think it was bad at all.
- 30:30Speaker 2: The recovery in that? You didn't think it was bad?
- 30:33Speaker 6: No, I really didn't. I mean, I know they say, oh,
- 30:36Speaker 6: but I had exercised a lot beforehand, and about 10
- 30:40Speaker 6: days after I had my knee replaced, I sort of
- 30:43Speaker 6: walked off. I thought, oh, wait a minute. I don't
- 30:45Speaker 6: have a pain or anything anymore. Oh, well, I guess
- 30:47Speaker 6: I don't need it.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. Very interesting. Who was your heartthrob as a young woman, like,
- 30:56Speaker 2: you know, that... What famous person was your heartthrob when
- 31:00Speaker 2: you were younger?
- 31:02Speaker 3: Oh.
- 31:03Speaker 4: Or maybe even older.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Or maybe even older. I'm going to go with..
- 31:07Speaker 6: Well, my husband and I had this agreement that if
- 31:14Speaker 6: Kelly McGillis or Veronica Hamill ever showed up at the
- 31:17Speaker 6: door and wanted him, as long as he left me
- 31:19Speaker 6: the money and the house, he could go. I had
- 31:22Speaker 6: the same agreement with... And I had the same agreement with,
- 31:29Speaker 6: you know, this is where my problem is, is names.
- 31:32Speaker 6: Hal Linden, I liked him. If he showed up.
- 31:37Speaker 4: Pardon?
- 31:38Speaker 6: Oh, my. Yeah, so he had a couple of, oh, and, oh, Christ,
- 31:44Speaker 6: the guy that's in blue bloods.
- 31:46Speaker 2: Oh, Tom Selleck.
- 31:48Speaker 4: Yes.
- 31:49Speaker 6: If he ever showed up, I could leave, too.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Now, how did you meet your husband? How did you
- 31:57Speaker 2: guys meet?
- 31:57Speaker 6: In college. In graduate school.
- 32:01Speaker 3: Really?
- 32:01Speaker 2: And was a love at first sight?
- 32:03Speaker 6: Not really.
- 32:05Speaker 2: How do you woo you?
- 32:05Speaker 6: So I have to tell you about my husband and
- 32:08Speaker 6: Kelly McGillis. So we were in... So Kelly McGillis, I
- 32:12Speaker 6: think it was because he liked her boobs from all
- 32:18Speaker 6: the Amish.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 32:21Speaker 6: The Amish movie.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 32:22Speaker 6: And so we were in... Key West. And we went
- 32:29Speaker 6: into this restaurant, and we're reading the menu, and he says, gee,
- 32:33Speaker 6: this restaurant's owned by Kelly McGillis. I said, well, that
- 32:35Speaker 6: explains why she's standing behind you.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Was she?
- 32:40Speaker 6: Yes, she was. And I said to her, you know,
- 32:44Speaker 6: you're one of the people that my husband can leave
- 32:46Speaker 6: me for without any recommendation. I won't bite it at all.
- 32:49Speaker 6: And she said, oh, really? And I said, yeah. And
- 32:52Speaker 6: he said, oh, gee, she's kissing him and hugging him
- 32:55Speaker 6: and carrying on. I thought he was going to die.
- 32:58Speaker 6: Of course, fortunately, he died before he found out she
- 33:01Speaker 6: was a lesbian. Because I think he would have been
- 33:05Speaker 6: really disappointed.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Really?
- 33:08Speaker 2: I didn't know that. So she was harmless.
- 33:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 33:15Speaker 2: That would have broke his heart, I think, don't you?
- 33:17Speaker 6: Yeah, I think so. That's what I said. I thought
- 33:19Speaker 6: they're fortunate that he didn't have to find that out,
- 33:22Speaker 6: at least on here.
- 33:24Speaker 2: So how did you know this was the guy you
- 33:26Speaker 2: were going to marry once you met him?
- 33:29Speaker 6: Oh, we had the same values. You know, I liked his...
- 33:36Speaker 6: All the men in his family were good men. You know,
- 33:42Speaker 6: when I met his family, his uncles, his dad... They
- 33:46Speaker 6: were all good husbands, good fathers, good men. I figured
- 33:49Speaker 6: he would be as well.
- 33:51Speaker 2: And was he?
- 33:53Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 33:55Speaker 2: And was it a good marriage?
- 33:59Speaker 6: It was, for the most part. I mean, no marriage
- 34:01Speaker 6: is perfect. I was perfect, of course. He did have
- 34:04Speaker 6: his faults.
- 34:06Speaker 2: But you honed him in, right? He was like a
- 34:08Speaker 2: rough diamond. You had to polish him.
- 34:11Speaker 6: Yeah, well, sort of. Because he was from Youngstown, you know.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Well, where were you from?
- 34:16Speaker 6: Canton.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Oh, Canton. Okay.
- 34:19Speaker 6: Yeah, much better.
- 34:20Speaker 3: I see.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Well, you're a fascinating woman. So you say people are
- 34:24Speaker 2: opposed to flock cameras because of the illegals.
- 34:27Speaker 6: That's what started it. When they started, they were so afraid.
- 34:31Speaker 6: The people that were, you know, opposing ICE and so
- 34:35Speaker 6: on kept saying, oh, they're going to use those cameras. Well,
- 34:37Speaker 6: that wasn't really upsetting people enough because most people said, okay,
- 34:42Speaker 6: too bad. So then they said, we've got to broaden it.
- 34:46Speaker 6: So then they went into privacy. It's not just for
- 34:50Speaker 6: illegals that are going to get caught. It's going to
- 34:51Speaker 6: be all of you other people that are criminals.
- 34:57Speaker 2: The rest of the criminal elements.
- 35:00Speaker 6: But I really think, because the first time I even
- 35:02Speaker 6: heard about block cameras, it seemed, it was because they
- 35:04Speaker 6: were complaining that they were using them to capture, to
- 35:07Speaker 6: catch illegal aliens.
- 35:09Speaker 2: I think you might be right. I think you might
- 35:12Speaker 2: be right. You might not be able to remember names,
- 35:14Speaker 2: but you can remember a lot of other stuff.
- 35:17Speaker 6: Yeah, it's just names. Sometimes downs.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:22Speaker 6: You know, you can't keep it forever.
- 35:25Speaker 2: No, but you're in really good shape for 85. I mean,
- 35:28Speaker 2: you know, you got your attitude is half the battle.
- 35:31Speaker 2: I mean, you got a great attitude.
- 35:34Speaker 6: Well, that's one thing you have to do is be
- 35:36Speaker 6: resilient because as you go, everybody keeps dying on you.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Yeah, is that depressing when you see all your friends
- 35:43Speaker 2: passing away?
- 35:44Speaker 6: Well, it is. It is, but that's what I'm saying.
- 35:46Speaker 6: You have to have a certain amount of resiliency. Otherwise,
- 35:49Speaker 6: you would be deeply depressed, I think, in getting older.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Do you believe in God? Do you have faith?
- 35:55Speaker 6: I do.
- 35:56Speaker 4: I do.
- 35:57Speaker 6: For the most part, I'm counting on it.
- 36:04Speaker 2: You're hoping that happens, right?
- 36:06Speaker 6: Yes, I'm hoping it. I'm hoping it's all true.
- 36:10Speaker 2: So, like, a big day for you is what, going
- 36:12Speaker 2: to the grocery store?
- 36:13Speaker 6: Oh, I try not to go to the grocery store. Well,
- 36:18Speaker 6: today I made some appointments in the morning. I went
- 36:21Speaker 6: and played bridge up at the senior center. Then I
- 36:23Speaker 6: went to Home Depot to buy some supplies to have
- 36:29Speaker 6: some lawn repaired. And then I just came home, and
- 36:32Speaker 6: now I was thinking about dinner. And as I said,
- 36:35Speaker 6: I think I'm going to go out to— Well, I've
- 36:39Speaker 6: got some leftovers. And I think I'm going to go
- 36:42Speaker 6: out and mow my lawn.
- 36:44Speaker 2: What are the leftovers? Are you a good cook?
- 36:48Speaker 6: I used to be, but boy, it's hard to cook.
- 36:50Speaker 6: That's the worst part is cooking for one.
- 36:54Speaker 2: What do you think the best thing is that you cook?
- 36:58Speaker 6: Oh, I don't know. I can't really say that. I'm
- 37:02Speaker 6: a very good pie maker, but then I'm not going
- 37:04Speaker 6: to make a pie very often. And... And I can
- 37:09Speaker 6: cook a lot of stuff. I just, like I said,
- 37:13Speaker 6: I don't really have a specialty. My kids don't come
- 37:15Speaker 6: to the house and say, oh, mom, thanks. Haven't you
- 37:17Speaker 6: been such and such? When my kids come to the house,
- 37:20Speaker 6: I say, let's go out to a restaurant.
- 37:21Speaker 2: How old are your kids?
- 37:24Speaker 6: One will be 59 this year. The next one will
- 37:27Speaker 6: be 56.
- 37:28Speaker 2: And are they married? Yep.
- 37:34Speaker 6: I have five grandchildren.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Now, did they, good wives, did they meet good women
- 37:39Speaker 2: or good husbands, whatever the case?
- 37:42Speaker 6: Well, yeah, my son married a good wife, and my
- 37:45Speaker 6: daughter married a good husband. They're both still married. But,
- 37:48Speaker 6: as I said, three, five good grandchildren.
- 37:51Speaker 2: And did they visit you regularly?
- 37:54Speaker 6: Pretty much. Not as much, maybe, as I would like,
- 38:00Speaker 6: but I actually go to them. I mean, I drive
- 38:02Speaker 6: to Columbus and back sometimes.
- 38:04Speaker 2: At 85, you go to Columbus on the freeway?
- 38:08Speaker 4: Of course.
- 38:08Speaker 6: How else am I going to get there?
- 38:10Speaker 2: I can't imagine. I just can't imagine 85. What do
- 38:13Speaker 2: you drive, 43 miles an hour the entire way?
- 38:17Speaker 6: I try not to go over 85.
- 38:19Speaker 2: 85. Jesus, you are something else, man. So you're on
- 38:26Speaker 2: the freeway at 85 doing 85.
- 38:30Speaker 6: Well, no, I never go over 80. Okay.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Okay. So, man, that's a beautiful thing. I enjoyed my
- 38:36Speaker 2: conversation with you. You made my day. Thank you for calling.
- 38:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I will. Keep it up.
- 38:41Speaker 2: God bless.
- 38:42Speaker 4: All right.
- 38:43Speaker 6: Okay, thank you.
- 38:44Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Hey, good afternoon, Ron. Yes. God bless that lady. I mean,
- 38:49Speaker 3: that's a life well lived there. That is.
- 38:52Speaker 2: She's got spunk.
- 38:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, if you're lucky, you get to have
- 38:58Speaker 3: a life as good as what it seems like that
- 39:00Speaker 3: lady's had.
- 39:01Speaker 2: And you can tell she's enjoying it, too.
- 39:04Speaker 3: Yep, yep. Yeah, it's probably a little combination of good genes,
- 39:07Speaker 3: good living.
- 39:08Speaker 4: Right.
- 39:08Speaker 3: You know, clean living. So, I mean, God bless her.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Beautiful day out, though, isn't it? It's fantastic. This is
- 39:14Speaker 3: just a gorgeous Ohio day.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Yep, perfect day. So what seems to be on your mind, Ricardo?
- 39:19Speaker 3: Well, I think the Jed York thing, I think, you know,
- 39:24Speaker 3: I have a thing I like to tell a lot
- 39:25Speaker 3: of people, like my young workers and that, is that
- 39:27Speaker 3: smart people do dumb things. It never fails to amaze me.
- 39:32Speaker 3: People that I've known that are really smart in their lives,
- 39:34Speaker 3: you know, intelligent people, and then they pull stupid stunts
- 39:37Speaker 3: like that. I think when you get to have, I mean,
- 39:40Speaker 3: the guys, you know, a billionaire probably several times over,
- 39:44Speaker 3: the 49ers alone I think are worth like $ 10 or
- 39:46Speaker 3: $ 12 billion now at some point. And did you ever
- 39:49Speaker 3: see what the old man paid for that when he
- 39:52Speaker 3: bought it in 76 or 77, whenever that was? No,
- 39:57Speaker 3: I think it was something like 13 or $ 17 million
- 40:01Speaker 3: when he bought the 49ers. And if you remember, they
- 40:04Speaker 3: were terrible, they were horrible. And within like three or
- 40:07Speaker 3: four years, they won the Superbowl because he knew how
- 40:10Speaker 3: to treat, you know, he, Eddie Jr took him over
- 40:12Speaker 3: and treated people right. And we got, you know, took
- 40:14Speaker 3: care of everybody and they loved him. He loved them. And,
- 40:18Speaker 3: They won the Super Bowl within, I think, four or
- 40:19Speaker 3: five years that DeBartolo was owning them.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Well, isn't the best pickup line for any woman is, hi,
- 40:26Speaker 2: my name's, what is his name here? My name's John,
- 40:29Speaker 2: and I own the 49ers. How do you overcome that line?
- 40:33Speaker 3: Well, I mean, like you said, I don't know. Is
- 40:34Speaker 3: he married? I have no idea. You know, I don't
- 40:37Speaker 3: know what his personal life is.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Somebody said he was. Somebody sent me an email that
- 40:41Speaker 2: said he was married with two kids. I don't know
- 40:42Speaker 2: if that's true or false. I'm just reading that email.
- 40:45Speaker 3: Here's the thing.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 40:47Speaker 3: Here's the problem with rich people. When you have so
- 40:51Speaker 3: much money that you want for nothing, you start to
- 40:54Speaker 3: get bored. And when you get bored, you start to
- 40:57Speaker 3: get in trouble. Because very few people... Imagine having so
- 41:02Speaker 3: much money that you can go, you can do anything
- 41:05Speaker 3: you've ever wanted to do, buy anything you want, and
- 41:08Speaker 3: money is not an object.
- 41:09Speaker 2: But let me put it this way. If that was
- 41:11Speaker 2: the case, I got to confess to you, the last
- 41:14Speaker 2: thing I would want to do is go to the
- 41:16Speaker 2: Wheat Hill mobile home community and have sex with a prostitute.
- 41:21Speaker 2: That wouldn't even be on the radar screen.
- 41:24Speaker 3: Like I texted you, the guy's, you know, I'm sure
- 41:25Speaker 3: he flew in on a private jet. Number one, you
- 41:28Speaker 3: could have the girl meet you at the jet, and
- 41:30Speaker 3: you could join the Mile High Club if you wanted.
- 41:33Speaker 3: Or you could, you know, in Vegas and Nevada, it's legal.
- 41:36Speaker 3: And I could be wrong, but... But I would think
- 41:40Speaker 3: the woman that is available to you in Las Vegas
- 41:43Speaker 3: is going to probably be a little bit more physically
- 41:45Speaker 3: attractive than what you're going to find in the Wheat
- 41:46Speaker 3: Hill Mobile Home Park in East Palestine.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Well, there was some cops on the other end of
- 41:51Speaker 2: the line.
- 41:53Speaker 3: I'm assuming they probably sent a picture of somebody or something.
- 41:56Speaker 3: I don't know. In all honesty, I mean, you've legalized
- 41:59Speaker 3: pot and a lot of other things. They should probably
- 42:01Speaker 3: just legalize and tax the hell out of prostitution. You know,
- 42:06Speaker 3: clean it up, make sure everybody's protecting themselves so you're
- 42:09Speaker 3: not spreading disease and.
- 42:10Speaker 4: Stuff like that.
- 42:11Speaker 3: But there's a lot worse things, you know, people could
- 42:16Speaker 3: do in their lives, I guess. But it just, it
- 42:18Speaker 3: never amazes me how people screw up. But I think
- 42:21Speaker 3: you're just bored.
- 42:22Speaker 2: And this has gone, these sting operations have been going
- 42:25Speaker 2: on for years. I'm shocked that people get stuck in
- 42:28Speaker 2: them to this day, that they wouldn't know better.
- 42:32Speaker 3: It's probably the thrill of the chase, you know, not
- 42:35Speaker 3: so much even the conquest, but usually when you talk
- 42:39Speaker 3: to people, it's when they start, you know, when you
- 42:41Speaker 3: were a young kid, if you were sneaking your dad's
- 42:44Speaker 3: booze out of a liquor cabinet.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Standby. Back in a minute, News Radio 570 WKBN, Ron Furb,
- 42:49Speaker 2: Kingdom of Mahoney. I heart radio. WKBN. News Radio 570 WKBN, 455, and...
- 42:56Speaker 2: All right, Rich..
- 43:03Speaker 3: Anyway, it just never amazes me how smart people do
- 43:06Speaker 3: dumb things. Although, if you remember, Eddie Jr. lost the
- 43:08Speaker 3: team when he was down in, what was it, I
- 43:10Speaker 3: think in New Orleans or Louisiana. He lost it for gambling.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he did get in trouble back then.
- 43:21Speaker 2: But now gambling's legal. Maybe as time goes on, prostitution
- 43:25Speaker 2: will be illegal.
- 43:27Speaker 3: Well, I mean, like I said, I mean, I wouldn't
- 43:30Speaker 3: lose any sleep over it if they legalized it. I mean...
- 43:33Speaker 3: legalize it, regulate it, make sure, you know, make it
- 43:35Speaker 3: as safe as you can and tax the heck out
- 43:37Speaker 3: of it. Might as well make money off of it
- 43:39Speaker 3: through the government. But if they have our hand in
- 43:43Speaker 3: everybody else's wallet, they might as well put their hand
- 43:45Speaker 3: in that one. But what do you think of the
- 43:49Speaker 3: Iran economic sanctions, Besset announced today?
- 43:52Speaker 2: It says, let's see, they pleaded it down to a
- 43:56Speaker 2: disorderly conduct, did I say on that, or something like that?
- 43:59Speaker 2: It was interesting what it got pleaded down to.
- 44:04Speaker 3: And ask your son. I think anything you use in
- 44:06Speaker 3: the commission of a crime, I think, is a criminal tool. Computers, phones, anything.
- 44:12Speaker 3: It doesn't have to be a hammer and chisel or
- 44:13Speaker 3: anything like that.
- 44:16Speaker 2: When we're talking prostitution, please don't say anything you use
- 44:20Speaker 2: could be a criminal tool. Try to use different lingo
- 44:25Speaker 2: just in case with that. I don't know that that'd
- 44:28Speaker 2: be it. A criminal tool. Could you imagine if he's
- 44:30Speaker 2: married going home to your wife? Oh, my God.
- 44:32Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 44:34Speaker 2: I mean, really. He probably would want to spend more
- 44:39Speaker 2: time in jail after this as opposed to going home.
- 44:44Speaker 2: But what were you asking about?
- 44:46Speaker 3: What do you think of that? Do you look at
- 44:49Speaker 3: what we did to Iran today economically with the increased
- 44:52Speaker 3: sanctions Bessar put on today?
- 44:54Speaker 2: I did not. And what are they?
- 44:57Speaker 3: Well, basically, if you're going to help Iran, we're going
- 45:00Speaker 3: to take you out of the dollar system, is basically
- 45:03Speaker 3: what happened. The oil market liked it. Oil was down,
- 45:06Speaker 3: I think, about two bucks a barrel. So apparently, you know...
- 45:11Speaker 3: And look, if you read anything over the weekend, I
- 45:14Speaker 3: think Iran is hurting a lot more than what they're
- 45:18Speaker 3: putting on. The Iranian president actually came out and said
- 45:21Speaker 3: it's time that we just declare victory and put this
- 45:23Speaker 3: behind us because... The economy in our country is not good,
- 45:27Speaker 3: and that's coming from the president of Iran, who doesn't
- 45:30Speaker 3: have any power. The people who have the guns have
- 45:31Speaker 3: the power, but he's sort of like head of the government.
- 45:36Speaker 3: And I think he's worried that if this keeps up
- 45:38Speaker 3: much longer, it's probably going to foment some revolution and
- 45:42Speaker 3: some uprising over there. So it'll be interesting to see
- 45:45Speaker 3: what happens. You know what?
- 45:49Speaker 2: All Iran has to do to win is just survive,
- 45:54Speaker 2: I guess.
- 45:55Speaker 3: Right?
