- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Welcome to the Almost Famous podcast. We're today We're back
- 0:10Speaker 2: breaking down episode two of the Real Housewives of Rhode
- 0:13Speaker 2: Island with the incredible spectacular co host of mine, Lauren.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Welcome back, Hello, thank you for having me back. It
- 0:23Speaker 3: was so much fun last week. I have to keep
- 0:25Speaker 3: coming back.
- 0:26Speaker 1: You know.
- 0:27Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever felt like the Almost Famous
- 0:31Speaker 2: podcast has gotten such positive feedback. And when we announce
- 0:35Speaker 2: you as the co host for the Housewives.
- 0:38Speaker 3: The engagement on that Instagram is popping off.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Guys, you really are the difference maker. I don't know
- 0:46Speaker 2: what that says about myself. Ashley is a lot of love,
- 0:49Speaker 2: but I think that.
- 0:50Speaker 3: It may be the fact that people really want to
- 0:52Speaker 3: know we have to say about Ashley on TV again.
- 0:54Speaker 3: But we can make it about ourselves if we.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Want, well, we can make it about us. But I
- 0:59Speaker 2: do actually want to make it about your dad. Oh
- 1:01Speaker 2: your dad.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:05Speaker 2: So I have been able to talk to Ashley in
- 1:08Speaker 2: the interim between episodes and life and she mentioned to me,
- 1:13Speaker 2: I was I'm curious, your dad's a fantastic man. I've
- 1:17Speaker 2: known him, met him just enjoy being around him. And
- 1:20Speaker 2: I was like, Ashley, does he watch this stuff, like
- 1:23Speaker 2: and when he does, kind of how is he watching it?
- 1:25Speaker 2: Is he like weird it out or what? And she said,
- 1:29Speaker 2: you got to ask Lauren about that.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Oh yeah, well I haven't watched Housewives with him, but
- 1:35Speaker 3: I would watch Bachelor And like his normal like reaction
- 1:39Speaker 3: is always just smacking his head, like smacking his forehead,
- 1:42Speaker 3: like every time she says anything. But I mean, I
- 1:46Speaker 3: think he thinks it's hilarious. I mean, he's very proud
- 1:48Speaker 3: of her, this is huge. But he doesn't really say much,
- 1:51Speaker 3: but he'll like laugh at it. I'm sure it's very
- 1:55Speaker 3: weird to see. He doesn't really speak that much. He
- 1:58Speaker 3: doesn't really speak that much. Okay, guys, Like he's very
- 2:00Speaker 3: he's very smart and kind and amazing. We love him.
- 2:03Speaker 3: But like I don't really know what's going on in
- 2:05Speaker 3: his head a lot at the time. But like when
- 2:06Speaker 3: he smacks his head, I know he thinks it's hilarious,
- 2:09Speaker 3: So that's a reaction.
- 2:12Speaker 2: It's there's just some moments. I mean, for the most part,
- 2:15Speaker 2: Ashley has had no embarrassing moments or even moments that
- 2:20Speaker 2: as a I think as a dad, you'd be like,
- 2:22Speaker 2: oh my gosh, I cannot believe she's saying this or
- 2:24Speaker 2: doing this.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, because like a lot of people that go
- 2:29Speaker 3: on dating shows and stuff like this are absolutely absurd
- 2:31Speaker 3: and they're talking about, like, you know, having sex with
- 2:34Speaker 3: tons of people and all this stuff, and they have
- 2:36Speaker 3: to be kind of semi ashamed, and all she's saying
- 2:39Speaker 3: in this episode in particular, is like, yeah, I didn't
- 2:41Speaker 3: have sex until I was twenty nine. You know. It's like, Okay,
- 2:44Speaker 3: that's a much easier watch than a lot of the
- 2:46Speaker 3: other people, you know, like I'm a little concerned for
- 2:48Speaker 3: like Joe Ellen or Rosie's dad when they're talking about
- 2:51Speaker 3: like penises and stuff.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Yeah, one hundred percent. You're spot on, have you Okay,
- 2:56Speaker 2: you've followed along, you obviously have the inside scoop. Yeah,
- 3:00Speaker 2: I'm watching the Real Housewives of Rhode Island. Is it
- 3:04Speaker 2: normal for so many women to have so many different secrets?
- 3:08Speaker 3: Okay? So I had a client this morning who is
- 3:11Speaker 3: the most diehard Real Housewives fan knows everyone from every franchise,
- 3:15Speaker 3: goes to Bravo Khan and she said that this has
- 3:20Speaker 3: been the most juicy first season of any Housewives and
- 3:24Speaker 3: she was like, I can't believe these Rhode Islanders have
- 3:28Speaker 3: so many secrets. It's so juicy from the jump, and
- 3:33Speaker 3: I'm like, Wow, the other seasons must be really, really
- 3:35Speaker 3: boring because it usually builds up to that drama. But
- 3:39Speaker 3: I guess the fact that they're very open about their
- 3:42Speaker 3: relationship drama is what's interesting. Because she's saying that on
- 3:45Speaker 3: New York, On New Jersey Housewives, everyone just pretends everyone's
- 3:49Speaker 3: amazing and they dig up secrets rather than offering these secrets.
- 3:54Speaker 3: You know.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I think that actually makes it, maybe
- 3:57Speaker 2: for me, in my own pert preference, a better watch
- 4:02Speaker 2: than seeing somebody's life, Like, people are gonna make mistakes, right,
- 4:06Speaker 2: I'm not here to throw stones, but it's it'd be
- 4:09Speaker 2: I think it'd be hard for me to see somebody's
- 4:10Speaker 2: life get ruined on TV because they signed up for
- 4:13Speaker 2: a show. But if they're out there being like, hmmm, no,
- 4:16Speaker 2: I've slept with this dude and he's sleeping with this
- 4:18Speaker 2: girl and we're just kind of all figuring this, Like,
- 4:21Speaker 2: I think that's easier for me to like consume.
- 4:24Speaker 3: I get that, and a lot of people, like in
- 4:27Speaker 3: the Housewives franchises have like gone to jail for like embezzlement,
- 4:31Speaker 3: Like a lot of them, A lot of the husbands
- 4:34Speaker 3: are doing sketchy And I don't know why you'd sign
- 4:38Speaker 3: up for this show if you're not willing to expose
- 4:40Speaker 3: all your secrets. And that's a huge secret, you know.
- 4:43Speaker 3: So like that's also kind of brings me to this
- 4:46Speaker 3: episode when the rula is introduced and they talk immediately
- 4:50Speaker 3: about her husband cheating on her, and it's like, I
- 4:53Speaker 3: the balls to go on here, just knowing that's going
- 4:56Speaker 3: to be dug up, and especially him as a pediatrist,
- 4:59Speaker 3: I like that could really ruin like your livelihood.
- 5:01Speaker 2: You know it is, but it does. I'm almost having
- 5:04Speaker 2: a hard time tracking who, like who's sleeping with who,
- 5:08Speaker 2: and like who actually like has a relationship that like
- 5:12Speaker 2: is not you know, having extra marital affairs and not
- 5:16Speaker 2: totally And we kind of see it at the beginning
- 5:20Speaker 2: with Liz and Jerry they they hang out the in laws.
- 5:24Speaker 2: This is I think a very I think that's a
- 5:28Speaker 2: very sweet scene.
- 5:29Speaker 3: I loved it.
- 5:31Speaker 2: It's very nice. Like their daughter. You see Liz as
- 5:35Speaker 2: a mom, which I think is cool, you know, as
- 5:37Speaker 2: a stepmom, but a mom. Yeah, you see the boyfriend
- 5:41Speaker 2: bring his family in, and the boyfriend probably like peeing
- 5:43Speaker 2: down his legs so nervous.
- 5:45Speaker 3: You know, yes, yes, I know, I know. It's very cute.
- 5:49Speaker 3: And I also kind of like how Liz didn't really
- 5:53Speaker 3: disclose why they end up getting pretty much like full
- 5:56Speaker 3: custody of the girls. They she didn't air that out,
- 5:59Speaker 3: and that's protecting the kids and stuff. So I thought
- 6:02Speaker 3: that was really nice to see. And the boyfriend, yes,
- 6:08Speaker 3: must be very nervous and expecting the question when is
- 6:11Speaker 3: the ring coming? They didn't get into that. Maybe they'll
- 6:14Speaker 3: get into that later, but it's very overall sweet scenes,
- 6:16Speaker 3: super Italian, super like. Yeah, And what I love about
- 6:19Speaker 3: this season is we see all of these women eating,
- 6:22Speaker 3: and I feel like on Beverly Hills and all the
- 6:24Speaker 3: other seasons, no one's eating. Like it's a very big
- 6:26Speaker 3: cultural thing up there to be eating the cheese and
- 6:29Speaker 3: all the Boston and all that stuff.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, my wife's family has a fairly like a
- 6:35Speaker 2: big East Coast presence, but some of them are in
- 6:38Speaker 2: Rhode Island, and oh my god, yeah, they eat. Like
- 6:42Speaker 2: when I say they eat, they eat, and they eat
- 6:44Speaker 2: all the time, Like there's platters of food that come
- 6:47Speaker 2: out throughout the day.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Yes, Oh, it's so amazing. So is she watching this?
- 6:52Speaker 2: She will be, I obviously have the screeners, and so
- 6:55Speaker 2: tonight I think during the National Championship of the basketball game,
- 6:58Speaker 2: she's going to be catching very fair Rhode Island. I
- 7:03Speaker 2: do want to get into the Ashley scene obviously with
- 7:05Speaker 2: Joel in the park, but we I think, just for
- 7:09Speaker 2: my brain, it makes more sense to honestly go to
- 7:13Speaker 2: the Kelsey Liz Rula getting drinks seen because there's so
- 7:17Speaker 2: much of the like Liz's life that's brought up, and
- 7:22Speaker 2: we obviously saw at the beginning of the episode Liz's
- 7:24Speaker 2: life in such a like dynamic way with the you know,
- 7:27Speaker 2: kids and the baby on the way and the grandparents,
- 7:32Speaker 2: and Rula really makes her entrance here. I'm still shocked,
- 7:36Speaker 2: and I've been on reality television. I'm shocked that people
- 7:40Speaker 2: can get into these kind of conversations knowing it's going
- 7:43Speaker 2: to be aired on National Time.
- 7:44Speaker 3: I know, that's what I'm saying. It's kind of nuts. Yeah,
- 7:48Speaker 3: she went into it knowing that they're going to bring
- 7:50Speaker 3: up the fact that her husband had an affair and Liz,
- 7:54Speaker 3: which I love the quote, like they were like, oh,
- 7:57Speaker 3: is it still ongoing? Is this a fair song going?
- 7:59Speaker 3: And She's like, no, it was last summer or whatever.
- 8:02Speaker 3: And then Kelsey's talking about the timeline of their outfits
- 8:05Speaker 3: and being Christmas or summer or whatever, and Liz goes,
- 8:08Speaker 3: but it is MA, and that's going to be a
- 8:10Speaker 3: line of mine until the end of time. But it
- 8:12Speaker 3: is MA because everyone is talking about it and seeing it,
- 8:16Speaker 3: and I'm going to have a little inside scoop. Now,
- 8:18Speaker 3: all the inside scoop that I have is actually not
- 8:20Speaker 3: from Ashley because I'm not going to get her in trouble,
- 8:22Speaker 3: but it is from my sleuthing on the internet. So
- 8:25Speaker 3: allegedly she works in the building next to Brian, and
- 8:30Speaker 3: later in the episode, Brian says, Rula, this affair cannot
- 8:34Speaker 3: be going on because I share my location with you,
- 8:38Speaker 3: you know where I am. It's like, yeah, you work
- 8:41Speaker 3: next to your mistress, like you know, like you could
- 8:44Speaker 3: be doing whatever you want. So I thought that was
- 8:47Speaker 3: a very interesting tibot. And she does work in aesthetics,
- 8:51Speaker 3: like Joellen says, So Joe Ellen allegedly follows her on Instagram,
- 8:58Speaker 3: so that's yeah.
- 9:00Speaker 2: So this is okay. He does he know he's been caught.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Brian knows that everyone knows, and he apologized and said
- 9:08Speaker 3: it it ended and that it's not ongoing. But apparently
- 9:14Speaker 3: Liz has some insider scoop and knows it's still going on.
- 9:17Speaker 3: And we don't really know how she knows that though.
- 9:19Speaker 2: But this lunch is kind of the moment to I mean,
- 9:24Speaker 2: is do you think this lunch is meant to help Rula?
- 9:27Speaker 2: Is it meant to expose like what's happened? Like this
- 9:30Speaker 2: is where I'm getting confused on the Real Housewives, because
- 9:34Speaker 2: is it actually meant to be helpful?
- 9:36Speaker 3: I think it's both. I think it's great television. This
- 9:40Speaker 3: is when you're going to bring up Rules affair or
- 9:43Speaker 3: not Ruald affair or whatever, Brian's affair and let her
- 9:47Speaker 3: know like you shouldn't trust him yet like we know
- 9:50Speaker 3: some information and we're being good friends and just keep
- 9:54Speaker 3: an eye out.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Really I get I'm shocked, Like if this was a
- 9:59Speaker 2: thing a year go, how somebody can say, yes, I
- 10:02Speaker 2: want to go on this show now, like I know
- 10:04Speaker 2: this is still.
- 10:06Speaker 3: How could Brian ever sign off on this? It makes
- 10:08Speaker 3: him look like a masrule look stupid and so Liz, Yeah, yeah,
- 10:15Speaker 3: they want to Liz. Okay, so I'm trying to remember Liz. No,
- 10:22Speaker 3: Joe Wellen sent Liz the pictures of Brian having an affair,
- 10:28Speaker 3: and that's that's she's.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Like private investigating.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Yes, Rula saw the pictures from Liz, and then I
- 10:37Speaker 3: guess down the line they blame Joeellen for exposing this
- 10:42Speaker 3: entire affair. And that's what they get to at the
- 10:46Speaker 3: winery later on. Is and that's why Joellen hates Rula
- 10:50Speaker 3: so much, because they blamed her for her own husband
- 10:54Speaker 3: having an affair. It's like, that is his problem, and
- 10:57Speaker 3: that is that is not Joellen. She's being the messenger.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Yeah, unless, I mean, the only thing I can think
- 11:04Speaker 2: here is that it was done with this not the
- 11:09Speaker 2: spirit of I'm trying to help you, but the spirit
- 11:12Speaker 2: of I know something that you know, I'm in on
- 11:17Speaker 2: the joke or I have a little you know, like
- 11:19Speaker 2: there is that element too, you're like when I screw
- 11:21Speaker 2: you too. Yes, we all have that in our life
- 11:25Speaker 2: where it's like you did this, you sent me a picture,
- 11:28Speaker 2: you know what's happening, but you're almost proud that you're
- 11:32Speaker 2: the one to find it, and not it's not helpful,
- 11:35Speaker 2: it's actually very hurtful to me.
- 11:37Speaker 3: One hundred percent. I understand. I can see that, and
- 11:39Speaker 3: as women, I think we love a little bit of drama.
- 11:41Speaker 3: And then she got the drama. You know. It's not
- 11:45Speaker 3: speaking for all women, but if I saw that, I
- 11:47Speaker 3: would be like, I would probably show my friends and
- 11:50Speaker 3: I'm an asshole for it, but I would need to
- 11:54Speaker 3: talk about it, and then eventually I think Rulas should
- 11:56Speaker 3: have known. I don't think that Joel should be in
- 11:58Speaker 3: trouble for showing Ula. But Rula does not like Joellen.
- 12:03Speaker 3: We've seen that she she she hates her for it.
- 12:06Speaker 3: And last night, after this episode aired, Joellen wrote on
- 12:12Speaker 3: Instagram referring to Rula, you shop in Cranston, you golf
- 12:17Speaker 3: in Cranston, and your husband sleeps in Cranston. Because it's
- 12:22Speaker 3: like look, because she was talking to it on Cranston
- 12:24Speaker 3: and now she's on this whole Cranson parade because it's
- 12:27Speaker 3: not the most expensive area and so Rula was talking
- 12:30Speaker 3: shit about that. So they're already firing shots and I'm
- 12:33Speaker 3: very looking I'm looking forward to the reunion.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Now.
- 12:35Speaker 3: If this is all we get for someone talking on
- 12:37Speaker 3: one town, you know.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Does the reunion happen? After the whole show's done.
- 12:43Speaker 3: I don't know. I think so, but there are so
- 12:46Speaker 3: many episodes that I think they do like a chunk
- 12:49Speaker 3: and then a chunk, like a midway season.
- 12:53Speaker 2: I was gonna say, because like there's some stuff already
- 12:55Speaker 2: I want them to have to like bick her out.
- 12:58Speaker 3: I can't even imagine. I haven't in the next episode,
- 13:01Speaker 3: so I don't have any more like inside scoop on
- 13:04Speaker 3: what's about to come. All what I've heard is like
- 13:08Speaker 3: they're literal physical fights, so well they were union maybe
- 13:11Speaker 3: even wild.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that's this is this is the wildest thing I've
- 13:16Speaker 2: ever entered into. We've covered so much of the episode already,
- 13:30Speaker 2: but I do want to get to the part that's
- 13:33Speaker 2: so intriguing to our listeners is Ashley. Yeah we did.
- 13:36Speaker 2: We get to see Ashley and Joel on at the park.
- 13:39Speaker 2: It looks really hot.
- 13:41Speaker 3: It's too hot for them. Those poor kids have those
- 13:44Speaker 3: red little cheeks. They're so sweaty. I would be so overstimulated.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I couldn't do it. And the fact that they were
- 13:51Speaker 3: able to have somewhat of a conversation amazes me.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, this is a moment where we see
- 13:57Speaker 2: Ashley express some emotion. You know, she's talking about Jared,
- 14:02Speaker 2: and I think I want to clarify this, and I
- 14:05Speaker 2: think Ashley would like it if we did clarify. Knowing
- 14:09Speaker 2: Ashley and Jared ashally, Jared is an incredible husband, man,
- 14:13Speaker 2: and father. I think there there is a world in
- 14:17Speaker 2: which and I don't think this is what Ashley meant.
- 14:20Speaker 2: I don't think it is actually what she was saying.
- 14:22Speaker 2: I think it was just how it was shown where
- 14:24Speaker 2: it was almost like Jared's just like this unhappy, like
- 14:26Speaker 2: grouch walking around all the time, and he like and
- 14:29Speaker 2: that's just not the case. But he he takes a
- 14:32Speaker 2: lot of his responsibility seriously, and I think it's an
- 14:35Speaker 2: admirable thing. And I think he is an admirable able admirable.
- 14:41Speaker 3: I need to pick it up your stuff to say.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Yeah, he's he's a great man. And I think this
- 14:49Speaker 2: was a hard moment because Ashley's kind of talked about
- 14:53Speaker 2: it on almost Famous before where he gets down on himself.
- 14:57Speaker 2: But yet if you walk into Audrey's, you're like, this
- 14:59Speaker 2: is one of the coolest places that exists.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Yeah, awesome, Yeah, I feel really that was very emotional.
- 15:06Speaker 3: I was just like my throat had a lump watching
- 15:09Speaker 3: her because you know, you're stressed out with the kids
- 15:11Speaker 3: and you're just trying to convey this. But Jared literally
- 15:14Speaker 3: is the best. Like I'll tell everyone, like he if
- 15:17Speaker 3: he's not at Audrey's, he's playing with the kids, he's
- 15:19Speaker 3: planning Disney trips, or he's on like a date night
- 15:22Speaker 3: with Ashley, like and the only thing he wants to
- 15:25Speaker 3: do is like play softball on Sundays, So like that's
- 15:28Speaker 3: what he lives for. He's the best. So I don't
- 15:30Speaker 3: want anyone to look at this being like, oh, she
- 15:32Speaker 3: has the husband that only cares about work and stuff.
- 15:35Speaker 3: It's quite literally the opposite. And also I want to
- 15:37Speaker 3: mention that since airing that he's like has way more
- 15:42Speaker 3: like work life balance, Like he's at home like twice
- 15:45Speaker 3: as often. So that was just like a rough period, I.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Think sure, and Audrey's has picked up a little bit
- 15:51Speaker 2: and probably customers so.
- 15:53Speaker 3: In the past two days.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Hell yeah, Okay, it works out for the housewives and
- 16:00Speaker 2: be a good thing for those who attend. There's a
- 16:03Speaker 2: scene at Alicia's house. It's a party busy. Alicia says
- 16:09Speaker 2: that Ashley looks like a medieval princess in fact, do
- 16:14Speaker 2: you think she does.
- 16:16Speaker 3: I'd like to address this. Okay, I bought her that outfit,
- 16:19Speaker 3: but I never intended her to wear it to a
- 16:22Speaker 3: housewife gathering or any kind of winery. I thought it
- 16:26Speaker 3: was cool. I wore that to Ashley's baby shower at
- 16:29Speaker 3: a tea party. It was a tea party outfit sort
- 16:31Speaker 3: of situation. And then the day, the morning of filming comes,
- 16:35Speaker 3: she calls me. She says, what do I wear? It's raining,
- 16:37Speaker 3: la la, la, la la, all these outfits. I was like,
- 16:38Speaker 3: I don't know what to tell you, what you wear
- 16:41Speaker 3: to a winery, but like, I probably wouldn't pick that,
- 16:43Speaker 3: and she's like, it's all I have. I'm just wearing it.
- 16:45Speaker 3: And then they're making fun of her the whole time. Oh,
- 16:48Speaker 3: I feel bad. But she really owns being the worst
- 16:51Speaker 3: dress on that show. And that's okay. She knows it.
- 16:54Speaker 3: She knows that's her role. She does not care what
- 16:56Speaker 3: her outfit is. She only cares what her hair and
- 16:58Speaker 3: makeup looks like. And that's always good.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Has that always been the thing with her? Always? Okay,
- 17:04Speaker 2: it's not the outfit, it's the hair and makeup.
- 17:06Speaker 3: She will be going to the Grammys or the Oscars,
- 17:09Speaker 3: and she won't think about what she's wearing until the
- 17:12Speaker 3: day of, but will have her makeup and hair all prepped,
- 17:15Speaker 3: you know. So that's just not it's not her thing.
- 17:17Speaker 3: So they're going to make fun of her a couple
- 17:19Speaker 3: more times, probably for her outfits.
- 17:21Speaker 2: She I mean it honestly, though, is some of these outfits.
- 17:25Speaker 2: I mean they're all wonderful and they're like outrageously like
- 17:28Speaker 2: you'll net you would never wear those out to lunch
- 17:30Speaker 2: with your friends. Some of the stuffer seeing. And so
- 17:34Speaker 2: maybe Ashley is the fashionista in the sense of this
- 17:37Speaker 2: could be your everyday outfit.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Yeah, except not the turkey like outfit. But but there
- 17:44Speaker 3: was a TikTok that was that someone just made and
- 17:46Speaker 3: I should find the creator. But she goes through all
- 17:49Speaker 3: the girls and what they've worn this season and where
- 17:51Speaker 3: they get it from. This is the most like low
- 17:53Speaker 3: budget outfits of any franchise ever. Like a lot of
- 17:57Speaker 3: them is fashion, a lot of them's fashion, no, and
- 18:00Speaker 3: like nothing's over one hundred dollars. Usually a lot of
- 18:03Speaker 3: it is like obviously Revolve, but like not even the
- 18:07Speaker 3: high end stuff on Revolve, So like people, it's more affordable,
- 18:11Speaker 3: like they're putting on like a face, but they all
- 18:13Speaker 3: look great. I love that it's an affordable fashion season.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Do you think that will continue if they make it
- 18:17Speaker 2: like five seasons and now they all start getting like
- 18:20Speaker 2: big old paychecks.
- 18:21Speaker 3: No, they're gonna buy a whole bunch of bullshit. But
- 18:23Speaker 3: Ashley will not. She won't.
- 18:26Speaker 2: She doesn't care.
- 18:27Speaker 3: No, she does not care. She never buys any clothes
- 18:30Speaker 3: for herself.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Oh that's amazing.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I know. All right, So yeah, we're out Alicia's
- 18:36Speaker 3: house and Alicia kind of apologized to Kelsey for bringing
- 18:42Speaker 3: up her relationship again, just like she was inquiring. And
- 18:45Speaker 3: then there she goes inquiring about rural You do the
- 18:48Speaker 3: same thing, and I'm like, I get it, you get
- 18:50Speaker 3: I get it. You want to talk about it, and
- 18:52Speaker 3: it's just funny. They're like. And then Kelsey's like, yeah,
- 18:55Speaker 3: but what's going on with real It's like, you're just
- 18:56Speaker 3: doing the same thing. Okay, but another since this is
- 19:02Speaker 3: the only time we really talk about Kelsey and like
- 19:04Speaker 3: her her relationship other than at the box game. At
- 19:08Speaker 3: the end of the winery, Kelsey's boyfriend has been revealed
- 19:11Speaker 3: to the public. And I don't know if all of
- 19:12Speaker 3: your listeners know who it is now, but it's Judge
- 19:16Speaker 3: Caprio's son, John Caprio, who Judge Caprio has gone viral
- 19:23Speaker 3: many times on like Instagram and TikTok for being like
- 19:26Speaker 3: the sweetest Judge of all time and gives people out
- 19:29Speaker 3: of grace and it's amazing, heartwarming videos. He passed away
- 19:33Speaker 3: I think in twenty twenty three, five, I'm five, Okay,
- 19:38Speaker 3: you do this, Skuy. Isn't he an amazing, amazing man?
- 19:41Speaker 2: Yes? Yeah, so.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Yes, so Judge Caprio, John Caprio, I guess. And he's very,
- 19:50Speaker 3: very wealthy, he's pretty handsome, he's older, and apparently he's
- 19:52Speaker 3: to date Paula Abdul, So that's pretty cool.
- 19:56Speaker 2: I feel like Paula pops up a lot in pop culture.
- 19:59Speaker 3: That's what I said. I was like, she has dated
- 20:03Speaker 3: every tall dark hancer man.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Yeah, and she was on the Bachelor for some episode.
- 20:10Speaker 3: I don't remember which season that was, but.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Yeah, she just like is she like stays in it.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Yeah, she loves it and she loves boys. So yeah,
- 20:19Speaker 3: John Caabrio. And then the other girlfriend that apparently John
- 20:24Speaker 3: Cabrio has is they actually stop dating and he doesn't
- 20:28Speaker 3: actually have another girl. But this is also alleged, but
- 20:33Speaker 3: all of that is alleged, but allegedly. The girl's name
- 20:38Speaker 3: is all over the internet, and I did not get
- 20:40Speaker 3: it from Ashley. I found myself. The other girl is
- 20:42Speaker 3: Crystal Camera and she is floing. She's very very hot.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Really yeah, I can send you screenshot later.
- 20:52Speaker 2: So this dude's just out there just dating pretty people.
- 20:55Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, of course, So that's all that's all
- 20:58Speaker 3: I got. But yeah, I don't think he's actually dating
- 21:02Speaker 3: someone else.
- 21:03Speaker 2: You knew that was about to happen to like, yeah,
- 21:07Speaker 2: this guy probably didn't want that to happen.
- 21:08Speaker 3: But I mean if also, this is my other take,
- 21:11Speaker 3: is if Kelsey really wanted to continue her relationship with
- 21:15Speaker 3: this man, she would to go on this show because
- 21:18Speaker 3: he's not gonna like that.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Yeah, this could be her out right, It must have already.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Been on the way out. And she said, I don't
- 21:25Speaker 3: know if I can say that on your Almost Manous podcast,
- 21:27Speaker 3: but you know, okay, yeah, so that is yeah. And
- 21:32Speaker 3: then so Alicia and Kelsey are at their house are
- 21:35Speaker 3: talking about how they're gonna plan on a winery day,
- 21:37Speaker 3: and then I guess they flash forward to the winery day.
- 21:51Speaker 2: I mean obviously we're at the winery day. Is there
- 21:53Speaker 2: any big standout moments now as the episode kind of
- 21:55Speaker 2: closes up, Oh, we do have to talk about Actually
- 21:59Speaker 2: I want to talk about is so bad? Yeah, the
- 22:02Speaker 2: one on one interview with Alicia, and she's like, I
- 22:05Speaker 2: don't like driving on the highway. Yes, she's like, goes
- 22:08Speaker 2: through all the things that she's done on a highway.
- 22:10Speaker 2: She's like, I've hit a woman.
- 22:11Speaker 3: A woman like Alicia, I think it's not about the roads.
- 22:14Speaker 3: I think you're just a bad driver. I don't think
- 22:16Speaker 3: it's about driving in Rhode Island.
- 22:19Speaker 2: There's a large percentage of people that don't do the
- 22:21Speaker 2: things you just said you did.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Correct. She's like, I'm over driving. I just want to
- 22:24Speaker 3: eat my krack as since like, I don't think you're
- 22:29Speaker 3: a good driver. But yeah, that was kind of funny.
- 22:32Speaker 3: I don't know. People in Rhode Island don't drive further
- 22:34Speaker 3: than fifteen minutes, as we said in the beginning of
- 22:37Speaker 3: the last episode, but like, they don't drive very far.
- 22:39Speaker 3: If you have to drive further than twenty minutes, you're
- 22:41Speaker 3: driving to another state. So I hate it.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Yeah, they don't they don't leave their little bubble.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why she said she doesn't go on like
- 22:49Speaker 3: the highway so weird.
- 22:52Speaker 2: So I just I think it's so wild lord that
- 22:55Speaker 2: like she can sit there and have an interview and say,
- 22:58Speaker 2: I've gone off the I've hit a person there, Like
- 23:01Speaker 2: what do you mean by that? She's like, yah, I
- 23:02Speaker 2: don't worry about it, and they're like okay, yeah, no,
- 23:04Speaker 2: we won't worry about it.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Then, like, hey, don't let that fly out of your mouth.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Maybe yeah, maybe don't tell us that you hit a
- 23:11Speaker 2: human driving and don't expect us all to go. That
- 23:15Speaker 2: feels like an arrest, correct anything else.
- 23:18Speaker 3: So Joellen kind of well, Kelsey lets Joellen know that
- 23:23Speaker 3: Rula is coming to the winery and Joellen loses her ship.
- 23:27Speaker 3: And she says once the picture of Brian and his
- 23:35Speaker 3: mistress got out that Brian like retaliated, I guess against
- 23:39Speaker 3: Joellen and try to get her fired from her job,
- 23:42Speaker 3: which is awful. We don't know if that's true or not.
- 23:45Speaker 2: So this is all alleged.
- 23:46Speaker 3: It's all alleged because she makes it seem like it's
- 23:49Speaker 3: Rulea's fault. But I'm thinking, like, maybe it's just Brian
- 23:52Speaker 3: who is like, how dare you call me out on
- 23:55Speaker 3: my cheating, So I don't know if it's Rulea's fault.
- 23:59Speaker 3: But Rula ends up not coming to the winery because
- 24:01Speaker 3: she's sick allegedly.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Yeah, so sick.
- 24:06Speaker 3: She's so sick.
- 24:08Speaker 2: We really haven't seen that much of her. I mean
- 24:10Speaker 2: this episode we did, but we just haven't seen that
- 24:12Speaker 2: much of her in the first, you know, two episodes.
- 24:15Speaker 3: No, we haven't seen her at all in the first episode.
- 24:17Speaker 3: And this was just that was just the lunch really.
- 24:19Speaker 3: And they also were asked Rosie if she had sex
- 24:21Speaker 3: with a coach, and they never say who the coach is.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Did you pick up on that? I was like, who
- 24:25Speaker 3: is this coach?
- 24:26Speaker 2: Yeah? No, and it's like she I think She responds
- 24:29Speaker 2: with that she's never had sex with a basketball.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Coach, right, she said she never met on or anything.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Is that going to be? Is this foreshadowing?
- 24:36Speaker 3: You think that's what I'm thinking? I'd hope And I
- 24:38Speaker 3: was like, is it Bill Belichick? But it's a basketball coach,
- 24:40Speaker 3: it's not. But I was like, that would be good
- 24:42Speaker 3: because she kind of does look like Belichick's new lady.
- 24:47Speaker 2: That would be a wild That would be wild. Bill
- 24:49Speaker 2: Belichick shows up to the real Housewives of Rhode Island.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Yeah, well I think that's pretty much all the standout
- 24:55Speaker 3: stuff from this episode.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Yeah, we're just kind of building now on like it
- 24:59Speaker 2: feels like in the first up, So we've built into
- 25:01Speaker 2: all these storylines that again, it's hard for me to
- 25:04Speaker 2: keep track of who actually is sleeping with who, who
- 25:07Speaker 2: has like a marriage that doesn't have like any outside influence.
- 25:11Speaker 2: It does to me, and I'm biased, but it does
- 25:14Speaker 2: to me seem like Ashley and Jared are coming out
- 25:17Speaker 2: of this looking like so insanely normal to the like
- 25:21Speaker 2: populations that would watch this.
- 25:23Speaker 3: I know. I mean I think it'll stay that way,
- 25:27Speaker 3: it will what could possibly come up? Yeah, sorry, guys,
- 25:31Speaker 3: no tea on Ashley and Jared there, but we're very
- 25:34Speaker 3: grateful for that.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, Audrey's has gotten just as much screen
- 25:38Speaker 2: time as anything else in their relationship, and that's amazing
- 25:41Speaker 2: for them.
- 25:42Speaker 3: It's great. But then also I'm a little mad because
- 25:44Speaker 3: then Audrey's will be so busy and they'll never end
- 25:47Speaker 3: up moving back to Virginia to be with me. So
- 25:50Speaker 3: it's okay, I'll sabotage in another way.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's when they get their jet and they can
- 25:54Speaker 2: just fly back and forth.
- 25:55Speaker 3: That's what I'm thinking.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that'd be nice. That's even actually better for everybody.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Hey.
- 26:01Speaker 2: In the next episode, Lauren, we see some things. We
- 26:04Speaker 2: meet Kelsey's other boyfriend. There is a Studio fifty four
- 26:08Speaker 2: theme party and Joe Ellen and Rula have a confrontation
- 26:12Speaker 2: that I think so many of us are on the
- 26:14Speaker 2: edge of our seats.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I'm very excited. I think that Joel's gonna
- 26:19Speaker 3: be very scary again. And everyone looks really beautiful in
- 26:22Speaker 3: their seventies outfits. I told Asha to do bangs so
- 26:26Speaker 3: it looks good.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Do you know, I think we can ask this when
- 26:30Speaker 2: like they have a party like this, a theme party,
- 26:32Speaker 2: does actually pick out her outfit?
- 26:34Speaker 3: Yeah, she picks out her outfit.
- 26:36Speaker 2: She picks out her outfit. That's impressive. Do you help her?
- 26:39Speaker 3: She just happened to have that outfit in her closet
- 26:41Speaker 3: and she goes, she faced on me. She goes, does
- 26:43Speaker 3: this look good? And I was like, that's absolutely flawless,
- 26:45Speaker 3: great execution.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, good, you're just a hype the hype sister
- 26:50Speaker 2: there you sometimes all right, Hey, we'll be back next week.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Breaking Down Episode three of the Real Housewives of Rhode Island.
- 26:59Speaker 2: We've already pre view that next episode. Yeah, I have
- 27:02Speaker 2: never seen any other seasons of the Real Housewives, but
- 27:05Speaker 2: if any of them are like this, and it sounds
- 27:07Speaker 2: like from what Lauren's saying, none of them really are.
- 27:09Speaker 2: This is the most dramatic, the most engaging few first
- 27:13Speaker 2: episodes of any season to date. But it's keep me
- 27:20Speaker 2: on the edge of my seat. I'm watching because I
- 27:22Speaker 2: love Ashley so much and I love Jared so much,
- 27:24Speaker 2: and I'm like watching and like so having fun with
- 27:28Speaker 2: it from that angle. If it wasn't for them, I
- 27:31Speaker 2: would be very uncomfortable watch it, Like I would have
- 27:34Speaker 2: turned this off by now. Yeah, I know I like it.
- 27:37Speaker 2: I do like it. It's just like it's not it's
- 27:39Speaker 2: too much. It's too it's too awkward. There's too much
- 27:42Speaker 2: like weird stuff happening. But I'm watching it, and I'm
- 27:44Speaker 2: happy to be watching it because of the two of them.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Same. I agree with everything you just said.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Hey, We'll be back next week with another episode of
- 27:53Speaker 2: the almost famous podcast breaking down The Real Housewives of
- 27:56Speaker 2: Rhode Island starring Ashley I Kennetty. Until next time, I've
