  Hello, and happy new year. Welcome to the

  year 2026.

  Today, we're gonna be starting a new
• 0:36
  podcast series this month
• 0:38
  entitled New Year, New Grace, where we'll be
• 0:41
  addressing renewal,
• 0:42
  restoration,
• 0:43
  deliverance, and healing.
• 0:47
  I wanna open up today's session by covering
• 0:50
  the key scripture,
• 0:51
  which comes from Romans twelve two.
• 0:55
  And
• 0:56
  I wanna start by saying
• 0:58
  that
• 1:00
  a new year or a new beginning
• 1:03
  starts
• 1:04
  with
• 1:05
  renewal.
• 1:06
  Before God restores, delivers, or heals,
• 1:10
  he renews.
• 1:11
  Renewal is the clearing away of old patterns,
• 1:14
  old mindsets,
• 1:16
  and old weights so God can breathe fresh
• 1:18
  life into us again.
• 1:20
  Paul tells us in Romans twelve two that
• 1:23
  we are to be transformed by the renewing
• 1:25
  of our mind.
• 1:27
  That renewal happens through the power
• 1:30
  of God's word.
• 1:32
  His word washes our thinking,
• 1:34
  reorders our priorities,
• 1:36
  and softens our hearts where life has made
• 1:39
  them hardened.
• 1:42
  But strongholds often resist renewal.
• 1:48
  A stronghold
• 1:50
  tells us this is just who we are
• 1:52
  or nothing will ever change
• 1:54
  or you're not good enough.
• 1:57
  But the word of God tells us that
• 1:59
  through him,
• 2:01
  all things are possible,
• 2:03
  and he makes all things new.
• 2:06
  Our part in this
• 2:08
  process
• 2:08
  is prayer.
• 2:10
  Praying the word over our lives,
• 2:13
  praying over our thoughts,
• 2:15
  and saying, lord, remove anything
• 2:17
  that keeps me from being renewed.
• 2:21
  This is where the journey starts,
• 2:23
  asking God to renew our minds,
• 2:26
  renew our strength,
• 2:28
  and renew our desire to seek him above
• 2:31
  everything else.
• 2:33
  And now
• 2:34
  allow me to pray for you.

  Lord,
• 2:38
  renew my mind,
• 2:40
  renew my spirit,
• 2:42
  and renew my hunger
• 2:43
  for you.

  Let your word break old patterns
• 2:47
  and shape new ones.
• 2:49
  I give you every stronghold,
• 2:52
  every
• 2:53
  thought,
• 2:55
  every secret place in my heart

  that needs

  fresh breath.
