- 0:26Speaker 1: It is time to believe your worries outside. Laugh with
- 0:30Speaker 1: us inside the Treehouse. I'm Dan O'Malley, along with Trey
- 0:33Speaker 1: Trenholm and Raj Sharma on Wednesday, January twenty second, two thousand,
- 0:39Speaker 1: twenty five. Welcome Trey, Welcome Dan, Welcome Raj. How Dan,
- 0:50Speaker 1: We're a little late to this drug party, but we're
- 0:55Speaker 1: not always punctual, but we're usually pretty damn funny inside
- 0:58Speaker 1: the treehouse. And what I'm talking about is this. The
- 1:03Speaker 1: Houston Police Department never welcomed the drug addicted rats inside
- 1:07Speaker 1: their evidence hold. But they're there and they've set up shop,
- 1:13Speaker 1: they've made homes, and I don't know if there's ever
- 1:18Speaker 1: been a happier group of rats than the drug addicted
- 1:20Speaker 1: rats that have holed up inside the Houston Police Department's
- 1:24Speaker 1: evidence hold in Houston, Texas. They at this point, rats
- 1:33Speaker 1: are very industrious creatures. In case you didn't know.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Yeah, reading that article, At this point, they haven't just
- 1:40Speaker 2: set up shop, they've got an they've got an empire running.
- 1:44Speaker 2: By this point, I mean, this is generational.
- 1:52Speaker 1: It's true, It's very true. This is like this is
- 1:55Speaker 1: sort of like the Roman Empire for people, but for rats.
- 1:59Speaker 1: This is like, it's like this group of rats are
- 2:02Speaker 1: entering into their golden age.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Yeah, actual rats, not like prison snitches.
- 2:06Speaker 1: No, yeah, like actual Yeah, furry furry but bare legged.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Rats, coked out rats. I see.
- 2:17Speaker 1: You see what Cocaine Bear started. Who knew that Cocaine
- 2:21Speaker 1: Bear was going to be such an inspirational film.
- 2:25Speaker 3: For all the for all the creatures in the land.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Yeah, kind of like the stories and the films and
- 2:35Speaker 1: the books of my youth coming true fruition, but in
- 2:40Speaker 1: ways that no one imagined. Because one of my favorite
- 2:43Speaker 1: movies growing up as a kid was an American Tale
- 2:48Speaker 1: that was the story about I believe it was a
- 2:51Speaker 1: little Jewish little Russian Jewish mouse or was it a
- 2:55Speaker 1: German mouse escaping the Holocaust? I don't remember. It was
- 2:58Speaker 1: a story about a little Jewish mouse, uh, making the
- 3:02Speaker 1: trip to America and the land of possibilities and prosperity.
- 3:05Speaker 1: That it was American tale starring the tiny mouse fival.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Then there was also the Rats of Nim so Planet
- 3:15Speaker 1: of the Apes. They escaped from the testing facility and
- 3:18Speaker 1: kind of take over the world. Rats and nim very
- 3:20Speaker 1: similar heroes journey, but instead of apes, it was rats.
- 3:23Speaker 1: They also were being tested on, and they grew very
- 3:26Speaker 1: smart and wise. And their leader was no Dummas Nicodemus,
- 3:32Speaker 1: Nicodemus inky tray. I knew it was slightly off there.
- 3:39Speaker 3: The rat that can see the future, he did die.
- 3:46Speaker 3: They grew strong and mighty and knew how to cut
- 3:48Speaker 3: up lines.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Yeah, the rats of Nim have have graduated.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I want to see all the I want to
- 3:54Speaker 3: see all of this, like the rats of Nim, the
- 3:56Speaker 3: methamphetamine mice, the delauded deer. I can't wait to see
- 3:59Speaker 3: how all of this turns out. With all the woodland creatures.
- 4:02Speaker 1: It's.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Watch out for crazy those hallucinating possums. Yeah, they do.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Instead of bum fights, they do.
- 4:19Speaker 2: You know, it's it's like turf force between the raccoons
- 4:22Speaker 2: and the possums. Throw out a little blow and see
- 4:25Speaker 2: who wins.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Throwing eight ball out in the middle and fight to
- 4:30Speaker 3: the death.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Possums wins because they put their knives on the little
- 4:34Speaker 2: babies too, and so there's.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Like that's a terrible tactic. But by a fact.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Uh. The Houston Police property warehouse, where thousands of pounds
- 4:44Speaker 1: of drugs, blood samples, and countless pieces of evidence have
- 4:47Speaker 1: been collected at crime scenes is in desperate need of
- 4:50Speaker 1: a cleanup because it's been attracting rodents for years. The
- 4:55Speaker 1: Houston Police Department, Mayor John Whittmeyer, and the newly elected
- 4:59Speaker 1: Harris District Attorney Sean Tier announced that they are all
- 5:03Speaker 1: joining forces to tackle the issue of decades old evidence
- 5:07Speaker 1: that has led to a rat investation in the evidence room.
- 5:11Speaker 1: According to Mayor Whitmeyer, he said, for many years, we've
- 5:14Speaker 1: recognized that the property room and the evidence kept there
- 5:17Speaker 1: has not been given the attention it needs in this system.
- 5:22Speaker 1: To explain the volume that Houston Police has to deal
- 5:25Speaker 1: with in its evidence rooms, Mayor Whitmeyer detailed a growing
- 5:29Speaker 1: problem of rats invading old evidence. He said, we got
- 5:34Speaker 1: four hundred thousand pounds of marijuana in storage that the
- 5:38Speaker 1: rats are the only ones enjoying. Ooh oh. Houston Police
- 5:45Speaker 1: Chief no Diaz asserted the issue in its evidence room
- 5:50Speaker 1: has been kicked down the road by previous HPD and
- 5:54Speaker 1: city officials. The department keeps over one point two million
- 5:57Speaker 1: pieces of evidence in storage, some of which are no
- 6:00Speaker 1: longer needed due to those offenses having already passed through
- 6:05Speaker 1: the legal system. I don't know about you, but I'm
- 6:08Speaker 1: hearing a new season of storage wars in order, and
- 6:14Speaker 1: it could be really exciting.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Four hundred pounds of weed, the slow Poke Rodriguez story,
- 6:28Speaker 3: slow to return.
- 6:31Speaker 2: They got weed from the eighties, kilos of coke from
- 6:34Speaker 2: the nineties. Yeah, it's like a time capsule of drugs.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Does does does? I've never done it? But does cocaine
- 6:43Speaker 3: get better with age? I don't know. How is it
- 6:45Speaker 3: like wine if you keep it like properly stored in
- 6:48Speaker 3: a cellar? How long does? How long does weed last?
- 6:51Speaker 1: I don't It's a plant. I don't think it ever
- 6:54Speaker 1: goes bad. I have I have no idea. I really don't.
- 6:58Speaker 1: My my drug knowledge is minimal at best. And you're right, Roger,
- 7:03Speaker 1: it's a great question. I don't know if cocaine age
- 7:07Speaker 1: is like wine or cheese, you know. I don't know
- 7:11Speaker 1: if anyone's ever waited long enough. I don't know if
- 7:13Speaker 1: anyone who does cocaine has the patience to wait years
- 7:16Speaker 1: to see if it ages. Well.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like you don't need to take a little
- 7:20Speaker 3: snort and it say, m that's a nineteen ninety Columbian nice.
- 7:24Speaker 3: That's a I mean.
- 7:27Speaker 2: For the finally aged stuff. Do you did like a
- 7:29Speaker 2: skeleton key and a bump off that.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I don't know, what's the training like for a cocaine somlier.
- 7:40Speaker 1: I mean, do you still get the experience at the
- 7:42Speaker 1: high end restaurants or they come over with the white towel, Well,
- 7:45Speaker 1: I guess it have to be like a black towel
- 7:47Speaker 1: or cocaine draped over the arm and then they present
- 7:50Speaker 1: it to as if you know something about it, which
- 7:52Speaker 1: you don't, and they say is this satisfactory to you?
- 7:55Speaker 1: Nod approvingly, and then they they pour a little line
- 7:59Speaker 1: onto your tail, and then you're supposed to I don't know.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Well, do you do the do you do the thing
- 8:04Speaker 2: they did in the in like the eighties, like where
- 8:06Speaker 2: you take the pinky?
- 8:08Speaker 3: Yeah, taste of it.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what every drug That's what every narcotics cop
- 8:12Speaker 1: did in the eighties. They're a tongue on the pinky
- 8:15Speaker 1: and they dabbed it in the mystery white powder and
- 8:17Speaker 1: they taste it and be like, oh, that's cocaine. Well,
- 8:20Speaker 1: of course a narcotics cop from the eighties gonna know
- 8:22Speaker 1: what cocaine tastes.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Like, Yeah, I mean it's like, oh, yeah, it's an
- 8:26Speaker 2: eighty eight Chateau de Escobar.
- 8:33Speaker 1: And I and I there's there's there's like a there's
- 8:36Speaker 1: there's a there's like a note of Crockett and tubs
- 8:38Speaker 1: in here as well.
- 8:42Speaker 3: This is a beautiful mediine. You like this one.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I still like the idea of Houston Police Department taking
- 8:48Speaker 1: part in their own season of storage wars, Like it's
- 8:51Speaker 1: gonna be fun in here, man. You can stell raffle
- 8:54Speaker 1: tickets and people could buy them. And then they get
- 8:56Speaker 1: to keep whatever's in there.
- 8:58Speaker 3: That's hil there's they they didn't get so high on
- 9:00Speaker 3: the weed. They just keep actually the same storage unit
- 9:03Speaker 3: over and over and over again. They don't even move
- 9:06Speaker 3: to the next units.
- 9:11Speaker 2: And then at some point, you know, they get some
- 9:13Speaker 2: weed and they're like, oh this sucks.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Those hippies.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Part. That's what happens mandon storage. You know, it's a mystery.
- 9:23Speaker 1: You never know what you're gonna get. It might be
- 9:27Speaker 1: the dirt weed, it might be the old stuff that
- 9:29Speaker 1: you know, it may not have been weed at all.
- 9:31Speaker 1: It might have just been some grass that came out
- 9:33Speaker 1: of the underwear of a homeless murderer.
- 9:36Speaker 2: If it kind of takes you back to that era,
- 9:38Speaker 2: you know whatever it was, you know, and it's like
- 9:41Speaker 2: one day you're you're a yuppie, the next day you're like,
- 9:45Speaker 2: damn it, Grungeuse us online.

- 10:55Speaker 1: you very much. Daniel Maley, along with Trey Trenholm and
- 10:58Speaker 1: Raj Sharma with you inside the treehouse, and I have
- 11:01Speaker 1: something astounding to show you both today inside the Treehouse.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I hope you're super excited, but deep down you might
- 11:09Speaker 1: be a little terrified as well, because researchers seem to
- 11:16Speaker 1: have found researchers seem to have found the world's largest
- 11:20Speaker 1: snake in the Amazon. I'm going to show you a
- 11:24Speaker 1: video of this snake. This is taken in the Amazon River,
- 11:28Speaker 1: somewhere in the Amazon in South America. And in this
- 11:32Speaker 1: video is going to be a video of an anaconda.
- 11:34Speaker 1: And in the video also as a man with a
- 11:38Speaker 1: breathing apparatus. So it's sort of like a cross between
- 11:41Speaker 1: snorkeling and scuba diving as he's swimming alongside this super
- 11:46Speaker 1: large and a conda. So here we have the world's
- 11:50Speaker 1: largest snake. The world's largest snake has been discovered in
- 11:57Speaker 1: the Amazon. Ironically, to see the man next to the
- 12:02Speaker 1: snake in the video, the world's biggest idiot was discovered
- 12:05Speaker 1: right next to.
- 12:06Speaker 3: The world.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Just anaconda. Don't want none unless you got tongues on
- 12:29Speaker 1: that thing creeps me out. So yeah, the world's largest
- 12:32Speaker 1: snake has been discovered, interestingly, right next to the world's
- 12:36Speaker 1: biggest idiot.
- 12:38Speaker 2: This okay, I have my first question on this. Why
- 12:42Speaker 2: is the guy dressed like he could play guitar for
- 12:44Speaker 2: ac DC.
- 12:47Speaker 1: The outfit is interesting, you, I think interestingly point out
- 12:50Speaker 1: that he looks dressed like Angus Young from a C
- 12:52Speaker 1: d C. I think he's dressed like a seventy eight
- 12:57Speaker 1: year old uh uh lady hiker because he's got like
- 13:05Speaker 1: the long sleeve button down shirt, shorts and the Tiva
- 13:09Speaker 1: hiking sandals.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Yeah, that's just that's but.
- 13:15Speaker 1: At the at the end of the day, researchers have
- 13:17Speaker 1: found world. They're very excited about it.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Hey, let me say this because not that really anybody
- 13:23Speaker 2: had any questions, but just just in case you were wondering, yeah,
- 13:26Speaker 2: the guy's white than.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Sorry, was was that not just implied?
- 13:34Speaker 2: You know, just to make sure there's the reason why
- 13:39Speaker 2: even those Amazonian tribes don't go in that water.
- 13:43Speaker 1: But this guy swimming alongside this massive anaconda in the
- 13:48Speaker 1: Amazon on the river bed, right next to its head,
- 13:53Speaker 1: and he's trying to offer up scale so you can
- 13:55Speaker 1: get an idea of how big the snake is. Uh.
- 13:57Speaker 1: They believe this is the world's largest conda, four hundred
- 14:01Speaker 1: and forty pounds, twenty six feet in length, and its
- 14:07Speaker 1: head is comparable to that of a human head.
- 14:12Speaker 3: And it could have swallowed Trevor whole.
- 14:17Speaker 1: We don't know that it was. This is just before video.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Was it was it a Cooper or a Connor? I
- 14:29Speaker 3: mean he's in a button down in shorts, so you
- 14:31Speaker 3: might be right. It might be a Noah, they all
- 14:35Speaker 3: they all look alike. I've been saying it for years.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Who knew Raj will get validation in today's show.

- 15:42Speaker 1: Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma with you inside the Treehouse.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Coming off the massive snake found in the Amazon There's
- 15:50Speaker 1: something else trolling around that I think will be a
- 15:53Speaker 1: benefit to all of us that I'm going to share
- 15:55Speaker 1: with you. Now, raise your hand if when you fart,
- 15:59Speaker 1: they're usually stinky. My hands up, ras, your hand is up,
- 16:04Speaker 1: pray hands up.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Uh.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I will admit, and I don't think I'm alone in this,
- 16:09Speaker 1: but I'm gonna come out and say it that that
- 16:11Speaker 1: when I toot, they're more often than not smelly. Okay,
- 16:18Speaker 1: but there's good news. There is a way, according to
- 16:21Speaker 1: a doctor, that you can actually fart clean. Hm hmmm,
- 16:25Speaker 1: because that does happen on occasion and those and those
- 16:28Speaker 1: are fun days or minutes when you toot a turn
- 16:32Speaker 1: and smell and you smell nothing, You're like, oh, this
- 16:34Speaker 1: is fun. I get all the noises, none of the smell.
- 16:36Speaker 7: Does Does pegging affect your hearts?
- 16:48Speaker 1: No idea that question?
- 16:51Speaker 3: Is there like a LATEXI smell? Maybe someurthane?
- 16:56Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm not into pegging. There is my.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Wife, is there a difference between a queef and a fart?
- 17:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it's all about location, just like real estate.
- 17:14Speaker 8: Is that.
- 17:14Speaker 3: She's not into pegging. So you're a sound sleeper. That's
- 17:16Speaker 3: good to know.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I hate when you guys hijack things.
- 17:27Speaker 3: I'm just saying, you don't know if you're into it,
- 17:30Speaker 3: if you're unaware of it.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Anyway, you guys, anyway, if you have interest in farting clean,
- 17:40Speaker 1: meaning to toot with no smell. I'd like to introduce
- 17:43Speaker 1: you to a doctor that will share with you the
- 17:47Speaker 1: ways in which you can fart clean, which means to
- 17:51Speaker 1: fart without any smell. Okay, so here we go.
- 17:56Speaker 8: If you think you fart more than anyone else, first,
- 17:58Speaker 8: you're probably wrong. Second, there's any fixed for smelly flatulence.
- 18:01Speaker 8: I'm doctor Tricia Pistrica, and I'm a gastroentrologist and an
- 18:04Speaker 8: instructor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. And here's how
- 18:06Speaker 8: to avoid offending people with an ill timed fart. Real
- 18:09Speaker 8: legitimate gi studies have found that farting anywhere from ten
- 18:13Speaker 8: to twenty times per day is normal. Ninety nine percent
- 18:15Speaker 8: of our intestinal gas is made of odorless gases like nitrogen, methane,
- 18:19Speaker 8: carbon dioxide, but one percent contains sulfur. And it's that
- 18:23Speaker 8: for containing gas that makes fart smell so bad. So
- 18:26Speaker 8: if you're worried about smelly flatulence before a high risk
- 18:28Speaker 8: social event, take a medication like bismus salicillate or peptobismal.
- 18:32Speaker 8: These have been shown to reduce ninety five percent of
- 18:34Speaker 8: sulfide containing gases. And reduce symptoms of flatulence. There is
- 18:37Speaker 8: some concern about salicylate toxicity if you take it regularly
- 18:40Speaker 8: in the long term, but if you're just trying to
- 18:42Speaker 8: ease your social discomfort for a day or two, by
- 18:45Speaker 8: all means, take a dose by mouth up to four
- 18:47Speaker 8: times a day beforehand. You might want to try this
- 18:49Speaker 8: before a long flight. It's in at Harvard Medical School.
- 18:52Speaker 1: So there you go. If you would like to fart
- 18:54Speaker 1: clean no stinky toots, have build bismol recommended dose. It's
- 18:59Speaker 1: for a couple of days. You should be good to go.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I love that. It's a it's a really pretty
- 19:05Speaker 3: Indian doctor. That's the one who's giving the advice out.
- 19:09Speaker 3: That's a see, that's the type of arrange marriage I
- 19:11Speaker 3: could have gone for. Uh, that's the just a listener qualification.
- 19:17Speaker 3: That So what did she do? She's a doctor, she's
- 19:19Speaker 3: in Harvard, she's very pretty. Her heart don't smell. And
- 19:23Speaker 3: I'm like, the line would be out the bathroom door.
- 19:32Speaker 1: You just you wouldn't. You couldn't wait for the for
- 19:35Speaker 1: the wedding.
- 19:37Speaker 3: We would fart the whole way.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Meanwhile, the elephant looks back here and goes bro really

- 34:24Speaker 1: to prison and your new cellmate asks you what are
- 34:27Speaker 1: you in for, and you're like, I stole meat. I'm
- 34:30Speaker 1: the beef thief.
- 34:33Speaker 3: In prison. I think you lead with fentanyl.
- 34:36Speaker 1: It's a good idea because otherwise when you say I'm
- 34:40Speaker 1: the beef thief and the cellmate responds with, actually, that's
- 34:42Speaker 1: my nickname.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Speaking of pegging, the first brought up dri.
