Interview with Mona Awad, author of the novel BUNNY
Mona Awad’s novel BUNNY is a wicked satire of life at a graduate program for creative writing. The grad student Samantha resents and envies her classmates in one of her workshops, whom she refers to as the Bunnies. Their affluence and cliquishness reinforces her own academic, economic, and social struggles. But once they invite her to become part of their clique she abandons her only friend, and gets caught up in their strange rituals. In the process she risks losing her true self.
Mona Awad is a Canadian novelist and short story writer.
