- 0:08Speaker 4: Astumes are correct.
- 0:10Speaker 5: Act Buck Mary kil wide shot, two shot, close up.
- 0:13Speaker 2: This is artist on artists.
- 0:15Speaker 3: On artists on artists.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Do you know why they call it show business? I
- 0:19Speaker 2: always wonder that. Welcome back to artists on artists on
- 0:25Speaker 2: artists on artists.
- 0:26Speaker 1: This week, the Academy Awards released their nominations for twenty
- 0:31Speaker 1: twenty two.
- 0:32Speaker 2: But what about the people who were snubbed? Well, we
- 0:37Speaker 2: want to talk to them.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Sure, Vanity Fair brings around all the nominated actors, but
- 0:43Speaker 4: artists on artists on artists on artists today has a
- 0:46Speaker 4: group of people who weren't nominated.
- 0:49Speaker 5: Remember, none of these people will receive awards for their work.
- 0:53Speaker 5: None of these people will get credit for what they've done.
- 0:57Speaker 5: None of these people are worth mentioning.
- 1:01Speaker 3: So let's dig our heels in and listen in.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Well, it didn't happen. Again, it didn't happen. Man, oh man,
- 1:13Speaker 1: it didn't happen.
- 1:15Speaker 3: It didn't happen. Yeah, it did it happen.
- 1:18Speaker 5: Yeah, it didn't happen for me, didn't happen for me.
- 1:22Speaker 4: It's all right, I say, I say it's all right,
- 1:25Speaker 4: so it will be all right.
- 1:27Speaker 5: I guess we should go around. My name is Artie Shallet.
- 1:32Speaker 5: I played Eric Carl in the biopic about his life,
- 1:35Speaker 5: Brown Brown Beer, and I was not nominated for an
- 1:39Speaker 5: oscary this year.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Let's do we have to say that when we check
- 1:43Speaker 4: in maybe the movie we worked.
- 1:45Speaker 3: On, what you were not nominated?
- 1:48Speaker 4: Okay, let's call it Sade's fade? Good?
- 1:52Speaker 3: Okay, Hey, what's up? My name is Doukie Mandenkis, and
- 1:57Speaker 3: I was not nominated for my work in both the
- 2:02Speaker 3: acting side of the movie Far From Alone and also
- 2:07Speaker 3: my original song that I made for the movie, also
- 2:10Speaker 3: titled the same name. Far from Alone. Really thought I
- 2:13Speaker 3: at least get a song now. I really thought.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Oh wow, hello, my name is Judy Bumpkin.
- 2:25Speaker 6: I'd have to say I was snubbed for my biopic
- 2:31Speaker 6: about Queen Elizabeth's maid who decided to build a biday
- 2:37Speaker 6: for Queen Elizabeth.
- 2:39Speaker 4: And I was not nominated for that shrilling performance.
- 2:42Speaker 3: I mean it was shrill, it was thrilling.
- 2:46Speaker 4: But England, when a performance is good, we say it
- 2:50Speaker 4: is shrilling.
- 2:52Speaker 3: That's crazy because in America we say thrilling, we say
- 2:55Speaker 3: thrilling shrill is it kind of means a different thing.
- 3:00Speaker 4: We switch them, switch them on the head.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Well, here we are.
- 3:04Speaker 1: My name is Sarah Jody and I was not nominated
- 3:08Speaker 1: for my role as the teacher in Oh Teacher, My Teacher.
- 3:13Speaker 1: It was about an inner city school teacher during the
- 3:17Speaker 1: Great Depression, but.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Also set during the Civil War. And I am snubbed.
- 3:26Speaker 3: I can tell you why you were snubbed. I can
- 3:28Speaker 3: tell you why you.
- 3:29Speaker 5: Were That's a little bit rude, Dukie.
- 3:35Speaker 4: I think we explain why we think the other was snubbed.
- 3:40Speaker 4: I love.
- 3:42Speaker 3: This because I want to know Dukie man wants to
- 3:45Speaker 3: know why Far from Alone the original song that crushed
- 3:49Speaker 3: on TikTok was not nominated.
- 3:52Speaker 5: Okay, I don't want to say anything negative because every
- 3:58Speaker 5: movie that's ever been made as a mirror, every single movie.
- 4:02Speaker 5: It's so hard to make a movie, you know what
- 4:05Speaker 5: I mean. It's really hard, and so I don't want
- 4:09Speaker 5: to say anything negative. But I will say that your sound,
- 4:12Speaker 5: Douchie Maine, your sound, it was not being shared because
- 4:17Speaker 5: it was a like good song. It was because there
- 4:22Speaker 5: was that clip where you fell into a vase and
- 4:26Speaker 5: then you screamed a vase A vase. I broke a
- 4:29Speaker 5: vase with my face.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Yeah, and so that's where people were. Actually it was
- 4:34Speaker 3: a BTS moment of they caught somebody leaked it and
- 4:37Speaker 3: it was me because they were recording the song live. Yeah,
- 4:41Speaker 3: far from but right at the end, I tripped and
- 4:46Speaker 3: I started screaming avase a ase, I broke with my
- 4:48Speaker 3: faate people.
- 4:49Speaker 5: Yeah, it kind of it.
- 4:50Speaker 3: They jumped onto it and it became a huge trend.
- 4:52Speaker 3: You know.
- 4:53Speaker 5: It became the new oh no, our table It's broken,
- 4:55Speaker 5: yeah kind.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Of and like people like, really, it just took off
- 4:59Speaker 3: in this new like twenty twenty two meme way when
- 5:02Speaker 3: people like titled my Far from Loane as like America
- 5:08Speaker 3: and then as amaze probably my face. They'd be like Russia, Ukraine.
- 5:12Speaker 3: It was kind of crazy to watch.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you're like, yeah, the kids have been making memes
- 5:17Speaker 1: about me as well.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Uh.
- 5:20Speaker 1: They they call me Sarah Jody never gonna get an oscar.
- 5:26Speaker 1: They keep making these memes that say I'm never gonna
- 5:29Speaker 1: do it.
- 5:30Speaker 2: They keep calling me an icon.
- 5:34Speaker 4: It just sounds like you're on the internet.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Really, what is a meme? Now? What is a meme? Now?
- 5:40Speaker 2: Listen, I'm sixty eight years old. I am.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I just go off of what my assistants tell me.
- 5:45Speaker 1: They say that I'm all the rage on the internet,
- 5:48Speaker 1: that things are going really really well. They're all everybody's
- 5:51Speaker 1: joking around and making little pictures about how I'll never
- 5:54Speaker 1: get one.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, it does kind of sound like a meme.
- 5:58Speaker 4: I guess that you're one of these panels because I've
- 6:00Speaker 4: done I've done three of these panels each year, but
- 6:03Speaker 4: not nominated panel. Yes, yes, no.
- 6:06Speaker 5: I've never done one of these panels before because this
- 6:09Speaker 5: is my first big movie I ever did. I did
- 6:12Speaker 5: get a lot of buzz and so I got really excited.
- 6:16Speaker 5: But this is my first panel, so I'm just really
- 6:19Speaker 5: happy to be around other actors too.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, I would love to jump into artie for
- 6:24Speaker 3: a second. You did Eric Carl Yeah, the famous author
- 6:29Speaker 3: children's author who wrote The Hungry Caterpillar.
- 6:31Speaker 5: Yeah, very Hungry Caterpillar.
- 6:34Speaker 3: I guess what I would say is, yeah, it just
- 6:37Speaker 3: not a lot happened in that movie. And it was
- 6:39Speaker 3: crazy that it was called brown Bear brown Bear, because
- 6:41Speaker 3: that didn't really I mean, how do you think that
- 6:43Speaker 3: that title tied into the.
- 6:45Speaker 5: Plot brown Bear Brown Well, that's the name of one
- 6:47Speaker 5: of his books as well. It's less popular than Very
- 6:51Speaker 5: Hungry Caterpillar. But this movie was basically about over a
- 6:56Speaker 5: thirty six hour period where he created brown Bear, Brown Bear,
- 7:00Speaker 5: because the kind of miraculous thing about that.
- 7:03Speaker 7: Book is that he created it really fast, which a
- 7:07Speaker 7: lot of people don't know that I didn't know.
- 7:10Speaker 4: They just kept trying to tell me that this was
- 7:14Speaker 4: happening really fast in the film, and it just bumped
- 7:17Speaker 4: me a couple of times.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I cut a bumped because I mean it's a
- 7:20Speaker 3: it's a children's novel. I mean, it wasn't writing a
- 7:22Speaker 3: ton of words.
- 7:23Speaker 5: Well, and it was just so the thing about Eric
- 7:25Speaker 5: Carl is that he used construction paper and he would
- 7:28Speaker 5: cut out the construction paper and then put it together
- 7:32Speaker 5: and that's how he made his illustration. So it's kind
- 7:35Speaker 5: of about his breakthrough where he found the right paper
- 7:38Speaker 5: and he looked at a bear and he looked at
- 7:40Speaker 5: the paper and he said, wow, that's it.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Most of the dialogue in the movie, from what I remember,
- 7:46Speaker 1: was the sound of scissors cutting the paper. Yeah, hardly
- 7:51Speaker 1: any words were spoken, but but.
- 7:54Speaker 5: We did use we did use the scissors sound as dialogue.
- 7:57Speaker 5: So I a lot of the time be.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Going, yes, you just don't get an oscar for that autie.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You just yeah, typically you don't, And I was I
- 8:06Speaker 1: didn't think I would.
- 8:07Speaker 5: And but then all these people started telling me they
- 8:10Speaker 5: thought it was amazing, Like all these illustrators said it
- 8:13Speaker 5: was the most realistic representation of their life and they
- 8:16Speaker 5: couldn't believe somebody got some of the fastest that we got.
- 8:20Speaker 5: Well the dryness and the lack of activity.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Yes, very good reviews.
- 8:26Speaker 8: You know.
- 8:27Speaker 1: AARP magazine called it the number one movie to check your.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Phone to, and.
- 8:36Speaker 3: They said it was a breeze to sit through. It
- 8:39Speaker 3: was like being in a park for an hour.
- 8:41Speaker 1: They said it was incredible to pull things up on
- 8:44Speaker 1: your phone to.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Well, it's a great thing to have on in the background.
- 8:48Speaker 3: I will say, you know, like that's what makes a snub.
- 8:51Speaker 3: You know, a snub is a movie that should have
- 8:54Speaker 3: been nominated, but wasn't the amazing thing about your movie
- 8:58Speaker 3: Bear Brown Bears. I thought for sure was gonna get
- 9:00Speaker 3: some sort of animation or editing, because that the way
- 9:03Speaker 3: that you guys like tied in Eric Carl's original animation
- 9:08Speaker 3: into like the plot of telling the story was amazing.
- 9:10Speaker 3: The acting, the other hand, it just didn't seem like
- 9:12Speaker 3: there was much acting ever in the movie.
- 9:15Speaker 5: And I think that was a creative choice because everything
- 9:18Speaker 5: was a wide shot, so they shot me from it.
- 9:21Speaker 5: I was inside the house we shot. We shot up
- 9:23Speaker 5: in mammoth and I was inside the house, and they
- 9:26Speaker 5: always shot outs, not only outside the window, but they
- 9:29Speaker 5: shot about fifty feet into the woods. And my director,
- 9:33Speaker 5: he said it was from the point of view of
- 9:35Speaker 5: a bear, because it's imagining a bear seeing someone crazy.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Now I do make and so you.
- 9:43Speaker 5: Really only see me in windows, but I look, I
- 9:47Speaker 5: guess My question for you guys is because I'm only
- 9:50Speaker 5: you know, I'm only thirty eight years old. This is
- 9:52Speaker 5: my first movie.
- 9:55Speaker 3: It's not that young. I thought you were a lot younger.
- 9:59Speaker 3: I started, you're a lot yeah, you know, you.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Sounded look like a tiny, little anibity baby.
- 10:04Speaker 4: And did you play a young a young man?
- 10:08Speaker 1: No.
- 10:09Speaker 5: Eric Carl found success late and so young for him
- 10:12Speaker 5: was thirty eight as well. Right, My question for you
- 10:17Speaker 5: guys is what do you do about the hype because
- 10:20Speaker 5: it's very strange when you don't think something's gonna be something,
- 10:24Speaker 5: but everyone kind of says that it will be. That's
- 10:28Speaker 5: what I'm kind of dealing with right now, because I'm
- 10:31Speaker 5: sad I didn't get stuck because someone said I wouldn't
- 10:33Speaker 5: exactly exactly.
- 10:35Speaker 4: And I think that's why when we really narrow down,
- 10:38Speaker 4: what the snubbed is is that we were given the
- 10:43Speaker 4: nomination in another way, right by word of mouth, by
- 10:48Speaker 4: just opinion.
- 10:49Speaker 3: All thought yes.
- 10:50Speaker 4: So then when this happens, it's like it was taken away,
- 10:53Speaker 4: but we were never given it before, but you were
- 10:56Speaker 4: given it by someone else, right who gave.
- 10:59Speaker 3: It to you?
- 11:00Speaker 4: Judy, I'd have to say my family. My family loved
- 11:06Speaker 4: the movie. My family loved the movie so much, and
- 11:09Speaker 4: my family wrote some articles. Sure they weren't in big newspapers,
- 11:14Speaker 4: but I read my family's reviews and I said, oh
- 11:17Speaker 4: my god, if the reviews look like this, oh my god.
- 11:21Speaker 4: My agent read those and said, oh my god, are
- 11:24Speaker 4: you reading what people are saying?
- 11:26Speaker 5: And my family wrote reviews of your own movie.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Yes, because we have problem getting press for the day
- 11:33Speaker 4: the Queen's Day.
- 11:34Speaker 1: I was gonna say, did you read any reviews from
- 11:36Speaker 1: people outside your family, people you don't share DNA with.
- 11:40Speaker 4: We didn't have any. We had one on Rotten Tomatoes
- 11:44Speaker 4: that was a typo.
- 11:47Speaker 2: So what did it say?
- 11:50Speaker 4: It said? It said free gear here h T T
- 11:54Speaker 4: TP dot slash w W dot radio shack for nine.
- 12:01Speaker 4: It was long, and I didn't memorize it because it
- 12:02Speaker 4: felt like it wasn't about me.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Pretty far with it.
- 12:05Speaker 5: You memorize a lot of it.
- 12:07Speaker 3: You're rememberizing everything. You seem like you rememorize maybe everything
- 12:11Speaker 3: with the last three numbers.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Well, it was heartbreaking because I did memorize in the
- 12:15Speaker 4: beginning and thought it was some type of teen gen
- 12:18Speaker 4: Z code for this movie is an oscar Win.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I've been having to deal with that. Gen Z
- 12:24Speaker 3: code is tough. The memes that they're making around my
- 12:27Speaker 3: sound like one time, it's far from Alone and it
- 12:32Speaker 3: says my straightness and then it says my face, my face,
- 12:37Speaker 3: my broken face, and it says adult Rebecca Black, and
- 12:40Speaker 3: I'm just confused, what does that mean? What does that mean?
- 12:45Speaker 4: You have that memorize too?
- 12:47Speaker 3: I look at them all. I cannot get enough. It's
- 12:51Speaker 3: like it's like I'm freaking national treasure in here, trying
- 12:53Speaker 3: to figure out what these kids mean.
- 12:55Speaker 1: You know, I know my assistants show me things that
- 12:57Speaker 1: I can't tell if they're positive or negative. If someone said,
- 13:02Speaker 1: like a sort of tweet that said the Sarah Jody
- 13:06Speaker 1: urge to never win an oscar and it and the
- 13:11Speaker 1: numbers on it were crazy, and I I can't tell
- 13:15Speaker 1: if they like me or if they don't like me.
- 13:18Speaker 4: Well, if they're big numbers at the bottom, they must
- 13:21Speaker 4: mean they love you, like box office numbers.
- 13:25Speaker 2: It must be good.
- 13:26Speaker 1: There's some level of irony that I think I'm picking
- 13:29Speaker 1: up on that I don't quite appreciate.
- 13:33Speaker 2: But oh well, what are you gonna do?
- 13:35Speaker 5: I don't really understand it. I have a huge following.
- 13:39Speaker 5: Every preschooler who sees me is ravenous.
- 13:42Speaker 4: It is crazy.
- 13:43Speaker 5: I don't know what is happening. I walk past the school,
- 13:49Speaker 5: all their faces like their faces up against the window.
- 13:53Speaker 5: You can tell the teachers to your seats.
- 13:55Speaker 3: I don't know what.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Do they say anything or do they just blaster straight
- 13:59Speaker 1: to the window.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Do they know why they're doing it?
- 14:02Speaker 5: They're drawn to me.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Farmer's Markets kids are running at me. The Browners Markets kids,
- 14:08Speaker 3: those are the yes, those are tough. The farmer's markets.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Kids are all wearing hats with long hair. You don't
- 14:14Speaker 3: know when they've showered. You know, you don't know how
- 14:18Speaker 3: often these parents are bathing their kids.
- 14:21Speaker 5: I don't understand. I don't understand why, and I don't
- 14:24Speaker 5: know if it's because they smell the Eric carl on me.
- 14:26Speaker 5: I don't know what the deal is, but it's it's
- 14:29Speaker 5: alarming and it's not exactly what I want.
- 14:32Speaker 3: What does this happening before brown Bear brown Bear came out?
- 14:34Speaker 5: Or no, no, before brown Bear brown Bear. I couldn't
- 14:37Speaker 5: even get my kids to talk to me.
- 14:40Speaker 4: You have kids, You sound like a kid. It's just
- 14:43Speaker 4: crazy to me.
- 14:44Speaker 3: You, Sally, how many kids do you have?
- 14:48Speaker 5: I have two kids.
- 14:50Speaker 4: This isn't the first time someone has told you sound
- 14:52Speaker 4: like a kid.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Oh, I don't know.
- 14:54Speaker 5: I kind of don't keep track of stuff like that.
- 14:59Speaker 5: Wow did you anyways? Sorry? I I but what do
- 15:06Speaker 5: you think we did that?
- 15:08Speaker 8: Like?
- 15:10Speaker 5: Like, what should we have done instead of what we
- 15:13Speaker 5: did that? Like? So what did like Javier Bard damn dude,
- 15:17Speaker 5: that we didn't do? You guys know what I mean?
- 15:20Speaker 3: I think they paid people honestly at this point, that's
- 15:23Speaker 3: the only way do they do that in this town.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Oh yeah, there's tons of pay.
- 15:28Speaker 4: You've been working in this town a little bit. I thought,
- 15:31Speaker 4: I don't understand why this.
- 15:32Speaker 5: Was my first movie. I'm only thirty eight.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, well yeah my story.
- 15:37Speaker 3: I was kind of playing like the short film scene
- 15:39Speaker 3: and like the film festival scenes for a long time,
- 15:42Speaker 3: and Far From Alone kind of bumped me. I mean
- 15:44Speaker 3: I was in uh, The Bugle, The Bugles, which is
- 15:48Speaker 3: kind of this very like funny family drama. You guys
- 15:51Speaker 3: remember The Bugles. It went to slam dance and it
- 15:53Speaker 3: got oh.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Yeah, google google google bo bo.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Yeah it was that. It was Did you like that?
- 15:59Speaker 3: So no, no, no, I tried. I tried to get
- 16:03Speaker 3: in the room, but they wouldn't let me. So in
- 16:05Speaker 3: this movie, I insist in my contract that I would
- 16:07Speaker 3: be doing the original song for Far From Alone, And
- 16:10Speaker 3: you know, I thought I was into it, but they
- 16:12Speaker 3: just go with the same people. I mean, like, look
- 16:15Speaker 3: who's nominated dos Orguitas by Lynn Manuel Miranda down to
- 16:19Speaker 3: Joy by Van Morrison. Yeah, okay, Time to Die by
- 16:23Speaker 3: Billie Eilish and Phineas O'Connell. I mean, who even is that?
- 16:27Speaker 3: This is bullshit? They pay people to get nominated. Far
- 16:31Speaker 3: from Alone was a really touching song and it shouldn't
- 16:33Speaker 3: break that down.
- 16:34Speaker 5: So they pay people to get nominated? Who pays who?
- 16:37Speaker 4: Who does that?
- 16:39Speaker 3: People?
- 16:39Speaker 4: They're like, can my aunt pay them? Because see my
- 16:43Speaker 4: family wanted to pay people as well, and that they
- 16:45Speaker 4: didn't have any luck with that.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Well that is so this is what I wanted to
- 16:49Speaker 3: bring up because I know, oh, teacher, my teacher. I
- 16:52Speaker 3: saw Eric Carl's biopic Brown Bear Ban Brown. I had
- 16:56Speaker 3: never heard of the movie The Queen's Bidet before this
- 16:59Speaker 3: moment feels like you just did you? Did you? Who
- 17:02Speaker 3: filmed this movie?
- 17:04Speaker 4: A lot of way, A crew of.
- 17:06Speaker 3: A lot of people filmed this movie.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Yes, oh god, we couldn't keep a DP for two days.
- 17:14Speaker 1: You know. It is interesting to see you here because
- 17:17Speaker 1: I remember seeing Lady Gaga on the emails.
- 17:21Speaker 2: She was supposed to be here, but she's not here.
- 17:23Speaker 5: Yeah, and you are.
- 17:25Speaker 4: Oh no, I got a call about I want to say,
- 17:28Speaker 4: thirty five minutes ago to head over here to Burbank
- 17:32Speaker 4: and do this round table.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Did you guys notice because the emails were changing, it
- 17:36Speaker 5: was Lady Gaga was on there, and then Meryl Streep
- 17:39Speaker 5: was on there, and then Jared Lettle was on there,
- 17:42Speaker 5: and then Jennifer Lawrence was on there, and then Leonardo
- 17:46Speaker 5: di Kaprio was on there, and then Judy Bunkin was
- 17:50Speaker 5: on there.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Yes, and I called my mother and I said, you
- 17:54Speaker 4: did it, pal, You got me in for a round table.
- 17:57Speaker 2: So did you say the snubbed groupe? Chat has been
- 18:01Speaker 2: very active.
- 18:02Speaker 3: This blowing up, blowing up this morning.
- 18:06Speaker 5: Wait, can I say something because I want that goo tap,
- 18:09Speaker 5: but nobody.
- 18:09Speaker 7: Will tell me who their numbers are. Okay, okay, I'll
- 18:15Speaker 7: go through this. So somebody just sent uh that meme
- 18:19Speaker 7: of the woman screaming at the cat, the housewife screaming
- 18:22Speaker 7: at the cat, and then it was me to the oscars.
- 18:26Speaker 3: That's Jeffer Lawrence. That was j yeahs Jaylen, Jennifer Lawrence
- 18:34Speaker 3: or Jaylen, it's Jalen.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Who else's numbers don't you have? Because I'm I have everybody?
- 18:41Speaker 2: But this three ten number three?
- 18:44Speaker 3: What are they saying?
- 18:45Speaker 5: I don't know?
- 18:45Speaker 1: They well, they they disliked the meme message, but it
- 18:51Speaker 1: showed up as an Android because they have an Android phone.
- 18:54Speaker 1: So it just sent that message that said we two
- 18:56Speaker 1: one oh disliked this message, Hollywood has an android.
- 19:02Speaker 5: It's Oscar Isaac. That's Oscar Isaac. He has an android.
- 19:09Speaker 5: Because we we we we Marco Polo each other, but
- 19:12Speaker 5: we don't have each other's numbers.
- 19:14Speaker 3: You guys, Marco Polo each other. You guys said photos
- 19:16Speaker 3: and videos to each other.
- 19:18Speaker 5: He's a big Carl boy. We call them the fans
- 19:21Speaker 5: of Eric Carl or Carl Boys, and he is a
- 19:26Speaker 5: huge Carl Boy. And he's He's been really supportive, like
- 19:30Speaker 5: to a crazy extent where he kind of was asking
- 19:33Speaker 5: me like like, hey, what's going on today, Like what's
- 19:36Speaker 5: have you you know, like maybe you do this. He
- 19:39Speaker 5: started kind of telling me what to do, and I
- 19:41Speaker 5: actually didn't like it very much. On the Marco Polo's
- 19:43Speaker 5: This Video part, Yeah, I was kind of like, well
- 19:46Speaker 5: you should have auditioned, man, you know what I mean.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Like, yeah, yeah, you so you auditioned. It was a
- 19:51Speaker 3: formal audition, because I think he could not be auditioning
- 19:54Speaker 3: it nat you know.
- 19:55Speaker 5: I had, I had. I think I had to do
- 19:58Speaker 5: like eight callback to get this role.
- 20:02Speaker 2: There's no lines.
- 20:04Speaker 4: It was just the scissor.
- 20:05Speaker 5: Sounds, scissor sound and then me kind of shuffling from
- 20:08Speaker 5: room to room inside a big house with a lot
- 20:10Speaker 5: of windows.
- 20:11Speaker 2: You're shuffling was very distinctive.
- 20:14Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know a lot of actors who
- 20:16Speaker 1: could shuffle in such a sad way.
- 20:20Speaker 8: Like.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Yeah, it was crazy because even though the whole movie
- 20:23Speaker 3: was shot from the outside, lightly looking into this house,
- 20:28Speaker 3: I could tell that Eric Carl was sad, and I
- 20:31Speaker 3: knew that.
- 20:32Speaker 2: That shadow in the house was an actor.
- 20:35Speaker 5: Yeah that was me, so Judy. Wait did you get
- 20:41Speaker 5: added to the group chat or not?
- 20:43Speaker 4: Yeah? So I got added about thirty ish minutes ago.
- 20:47Speaker 4: I was the one who popped in. I have the
- 20:49Speaker 4: eight eight from the valley, the val valley.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Oh wow, you're from the valley. You know that your
- 21:00Speaker 3: phone number was in the valley?
- 21:05Speaker 1: Zanna, I'm annate to calum asses, strong and proud.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Wait do you know of us snubbed? Live in the valley?
- 21:18Speaker 2: Where do you guys live?
- 21:20Speaker 5: I live in uh in Sonatas.
- 21:24Speaker 3: The valley, so not the valley. Wait wait did I.
- 21:28Speaker 5: Say in Santa Sorry my parents are from Vincina's I
- 21:31Speaker 5: live it's Cerritos.
- 21:35Speaker 3: I think it's the wrong valley. Wait wait, wait, wait
- 21:38Speaker 3: wait wait San Fernando or sant Gabriel Valley.
- 21:44Speaker 5: Oh wait, I didn't mean Critos, I meant Diamond Bar.
- 21:48Speaker 3: I love diamond still wrong valley, wrong valley, the wrong
- 21:53Speaker 3: valley yet again, Diamond Bar is way out there.
- 21:56Speaker 5: Gosh, I guess I don't know where I'm from.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Okay, but where do you live now?
- 22:03Speaker 3: Where do you live?
- 22:05Speaker 5: Right now? I live at the w on Hollywood and Gower.
- 22:08Speaker 4: Okay, not the valley?
- 22:09Speaker 3: Okay, you living in a hotel?
- 22:12Speaker 8: What do you Yeah?
- 22:15Speaker 4: Have you been living there for.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Well?
- 22:19Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Okay, you're a lot.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Let's see if we can nail down some things about you.
- 22:26Speaker 1: So you seem to not remember some stuff. Do you
- 22:29Speaker 1: know your birthday?
- 22:31Speaker 4: Yes?
- 22:33Speaker 5: First ed?
- 22:35Speaker 4: What year?
- 22:37Speaker 5: Nineteen nineteen eighty four?
- 22:49Speaker 2: You had to remember that for a long time.
- 22:52Speaker 5: Yeah, dude, it's jokie.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Where do you live, doukie?
- 22:56Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 22:57Speaker 3: Well you know I have. I have one big house
- 23:00Speaker 3: out in sill Maar. So yeah, it is one big one,
- 23:03Speaker 3: one big house. I've got a lot of people.
- 23:08Speaker 4: That usually people have one house.
- 23:10Speaker 3: But it's big. Do you guys understand, like Silmar, you
- 23:13Speaker 3: can buy land. They still got horses out there, They've
- 23:16Speaker 3: got land to spare. So I just built this huge
- 23:20Speaker 3: house with my money from all the movies have been made.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Far from Alone, just tons of things. You know, It's like,
- 23:28Speaker 3: it's great out there. You guys should come out, you
- 23:29Speaker 3: should come out to the convent. I have to.
- 23:32Speaker 4: I have a question. I'd love to ask the group,
- 23:36Speaker 4: if you were nominated, let's play the scenes that they
- 23:40Speaker 4: would play.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 23:48Speaker 3: I would love that because obviously you know you go ahead,
- 23:51Speaker 3: you go, oh, go ahead, go ahead. Well, obviously they'd
- 23:53Speaker 3: played my song, my song, and they play, well, I'd
- 23:56Speaker 3: be double nominated. It would be like and it would
- 23:59Speaker 3: and people will get like it because it would be
- 24:00Speaker 3: like they'd play the moment from when I just finished
- 24:03Speaker 3: Far from Alone, the original song, and then they would
- 24:06Speaker 3: also for the song nom they would play far from Alone.
- 24:09Speaker 3: So probably the moment where I'm looking at my dad's
- 24:13Speaker 3: he's in the coffin and I'm looking at him and
- 24:17Speaker 3: I know, you know, this is the reprise of the
- 24:19Speaker 3: song and I go Far from Alone. And fun fact,
- 24:25Speaker 3: that was actually the scene that we were shooting. When
- 24:27Speaker 3: they got the bts of me falling and breaking my
- 24:30Speaker 3: face on the face wow, we could not shoot anymore
- 24:33Speaker 3: after that because I literally did break a little bit
- 24:35Speaker 3: of my face on that base. It was Oh, and
- 24:39Speaker 3: it's kind of crazy that these kids are meming a
- 24:41Speaker 3: very serious moment when I'm singing to my dead father.
- 24:45Speaker 3: You know, it's crazy that these kids are meaning or
- 24:50Speaker 3: yeah that we sing live and then we touch it
- 24:52Speaker 3: up and post basically. So, it was a really monumentous
- 24:56Speaker 3: day to shoot, and it was really special to finally
- 24:58Speaker 3: see all the hard work kind of payout. And it
- 25:01Speaker 3: just sucks that, you know, you don't get, like any
- 25:03Speaker 3: other the come up into the credit for it, you.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Know, because Oh, I wish I could get some come up.
- 25:09Speaker 5: It's Sarah, what's about your scene? Do we have a
- 25:12Speaker 5: clip that we could show?
- 25:14Speaker 4: We do this?
- 25:15Speaker 3: Oh yeah, let's not watch mine, but let's watch yours.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Let's you kind of you live. No, it's fine, I
- 25:21Speaker 3: don't even want to watch it.
- 25:22Speaker 5: Let's watch it. Is it exactly the same way you described.
- 25:27Speaker 4: Is it exactly the same way.
- 25:29Speaker 3: You Okay, let's watch it.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Let's watch it. Let it.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Far from loan.
- 25:39Speaker 9: A loon?
- 25:42Speaker 3: Yeah, that was it. That was it.
- 25:44Speaker 4: That was the scene.
- 25:46Speaker 5: Really, that's exactly the way you described it.
- 25:48Speaker 1: I will say, I will nominate you for an OSCAR
- 25:51Speaker 1: for describing the scene exactly as it was played.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Do they have this? Is there like a way to
- 25:56Speaker 3: submit to that? Is there a way to submit to that?
- 25:58Speaker 3: Do they have that? As a category, you can make them.
- 26:00Speaker 5: We could call them the describe ees.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Okay, where the describe me is okay?
- 26:07Speaker 1: Well, this was the song that my or this was
- 26:10Speaker 1: the scene rather you got in my ear? Now, this
- 26:14Speaker 1: was the scene that my team was sending around as
- 26:17Speaker 1: part of my Best Actress OSCAR campaign. It's the scene
- 26:20Speaker 1: in Oh Teacher, My Teacher, when I end up reaching
- 26:26Speaker 1: out to a low income student named John and I
- 26:30Speaker 1: pull them aside after class. So let's roll that one. John,
- 26:38Speaker 1: do you have Do you have a moment to come.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Talk to me?
- 26:43Speaker 4: Oh? Yeah, one second, Andy, leave me alone, fine.
- 26:49Speaker 5: But I'll be outside with drugs.
- 26:52Speaker 1: You have so much potential. I God, my son is dead.
- 27:03Speaker 1: My son is dead.
- 27:05Speaker 4: My son is dead.
- 27:07Speaker 1: I can't believe it's both the Civil War and the
- 27:10Speaker 1: Great Depression.
- 27:12Speaker 2: John, you have so much to offer. I dreamed a
- 27:16Speaker 2: dream in time gone by this ship. So that was
- 27:22Speaker 2: the scene.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Editing was wild all over there. It felt like a
- 27:27Speaker 3: trailer almost.
- 27:28Speaker 4: I say, we.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Almost didn't send that because people said I was trying
- 27:32Speaker 1: to jam in so many Oscar things into thirty seconds.
- 27:36Speaker 1: They say that's what the screenplay sounded like, but I disagree.
- 27:39Speaker 2: I think it felt very natural.
- 27:41Speaker 4: That's what Leo did. That's what Leo did for the Revenant.
- 27:44Speaker 4: When it was finally his time, he said, bye, God, God,
- 27:46Speaker 4: damn it, I'm gonna get this Oscar and I'm gonna
- 27:49Speaker 4: make them do it. And he's sang lames as well.
- 27:52Speaker 5: Can I happened that?
- 27:54Speaker 3: Yeah? I love the Revenant. When he's stuck in that
- 27:56Speaker 3: when he had to cut his horse open, he's saying,
- 28:00Speaker 3: I dream of dream that was.
- 28:05Speaker 4: Let's play it.
- 28:08Speaker 3: I'm gonna find my wife anything, just find my kids.
- 28:17Speaker 9: I dream a dream of time gone by, that there
- 28:24Speaker 9: was something worth starting.
- 28:29Speaker 4: Oh, not snubbed, not snubbed one bit, that's what.
- 28:32Speaker 5: But that's really confusing because that won an award and
- 28:37Speaker 5: Sarah Yurits didn't. And I think it's confusing, you know what.
- 28:42Speaker 2: I'm confused to and I can't look at that.
- 28:45Speaker 1: I'm looking at that clip and I'm ready to say,
- 28:47Speaker 1: who's that actress?
- 28:48Speaker 2: I want to nominate her for an award?
- 28:50Speaker 1: And then I remember it's me and I can't because
- 28:53Speaker 1: I don't snubbed.
- 28:54Speaker 4: I don't blame you for throwing in lay miss as
- 28:57Speaker 4: a hail Mary at the end of the take, because
- 28:59Speaker 4: you were like, goddamn it, how do I do it?
- 29:01Speaker 4: And I think it was a valiant effort.
- 29:05Speaker 1: I just wrote many, many, many, many, many many many times,
- 29:10Speaker 1: and I really thought that that.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Was gonna do it.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, when I said the editing was crazy earlier,
- 29:15Speaker 3: I meant the editing where they just cut from the
- 29:18Speaker 3: same shot over and over again, and you were giving
- 29:21Speaker 3: the performance of a lifetime. It was very jump cut.
- 29:24Speaker 3: He felt like an action movie.
- 29:25Speaker 4: But it was I've never seen jump cuts in the
- 29:28Speaker 4: same scene.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I did question that choice.
- 29:33Speaker 1: I see all most Oscar movies don't have jump cuts.
- 29:36Speaker 1: For what I'm told, it's more of a TikTok thing.
- 29:40Speaker 1: But I thought, you know, maybe that's what you have
- 29:42Speaker 1: to do to keep up.
- 29:44Speaker 5: Well, Sarah, let's or not, Sarah, Judy, let's see yours.
- 29:47Speaker 5: What's what's what? Would would they have showed out your oscars?
- 29:50Speaker 4: Thank you? Autie. Well, my dad sent in a great
- 29:55Speaker 4: clip and it is when I am speaking to the
- 30:01Speaker 4: Queen the queen's husband and the king the King, the King, yes,
- 30:09Speaker 4: in our movie we call him the queen's husband because
- 30:14Speaker 4: a choice. It is a choice, and her children.
- 30:18Speaker 3: You have the rights to king?
- 30:20Speaker 5: Did you have the rights to King?
- 30:22Speaker 1: No?
- 30:22Speaker 4: And that's why we didn't have.
- 30:25Speaker 2: The king has copyrighted the phrase king.
- 30:28Speaker 4: We blew our money on Buckingham Palace And then we.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Say, oh you shot in Bugyham?
- 30:35Speaker 4: Yes, Oh god, the new DP every day we had
- 30:39Speaker 4: to get that deep COVID tested all the way to Buckingham.
- 30:42Speaker 4: It was possible. So anyway, this is a scene. It's
- 30:45Speaker 4: a big, big ensemble scene, but my dad sent it
- 30:49Speaker 4: in anyway because I do shine. Let's play it.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Where is the maid? The potato is broken?
- 30:59Speaker 4: Sigh? I ask for you to speak to me like
- 31:03Speaker 4: a human.
- 31:05Speaker 3: Well, I am the Queen's husband. I shall address you
- 31:09Speaker 3: as such.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Who on earth is my maid? With the day Queen?
- 31:20Speaker 4: I asked that you speak to me like one of
- 31:23Speaker 4: your equals.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Okay, then I'll try where is my maid with the bidet?
- 31:31Speaker 10: Ha?
- 31:32Speaker 3: You fixed her voice? Please? How did you do this?
- 31:37Speaker 6: I did it with the bdet the bdeta bdeta.
- 31:40Speaker 5: But dat I love that it turned into a musical
- 31:43Speaker 5: right there for no reason.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Yes, you really did shine. You really did shine.
- 31:48Speaker 1: It takes a while for you to shine, but you
- 31:50Speaker 1: shined at the end. I see why your dad sent
- 31:52Speaker 1: that into the Academy.
- 31:54Speaker 3: I got a quick question. I feel like the queen,
- 31:59Speaker 3: correct me, but I feel like, Sarah, Jody, you were
- 32:02Speaker 3: the queen of that movie.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Okay, he gets out of the bag.
- 32:08Speaker 1: I was buying for supporting actress in that film, but
- 32:12Speaker 1: we not it strategically that it would it would be
- 32:15Speaker 1: best if if I if I went for just balls
- 32:18Speaker 1: in all in the best actress category for Oh Teacher
- 32:21Speaker 1: by Teacher, But that was originally the plan was best
- 32:24Speaker 1: supporting actress for me.
- 32:25Speaker 3: Wow did you find this project? Sarah?
- 32:30Speaker 1: I mean, I gotta knock on the door from a
- 32:34Speaker 1: gentleman in a mustache who, Now that I'm looking back,
- 32:39Speaker 1: Judy looked exactly like you, except I.
- 32:43Speaker 4: Don't wear mustache. Now, I was in London at the time,
- 32:46Speaker 4: not the Valley.
- 32:49Speaker 1: So I'm wondering, Judy, if this man may have been
- 32:53Speaker 1: your father, because he caught He called himself Marty show business,
- 32:58Speaker 1: and I thought, well, I'm certainly in show business.
- 33:01Speaker 2: I should know this man.
- 33:03Speaker 3: And show to be fair. Show Business is a very
- 33:05Speaker 3: common British last name.
- 33:07Speaker 4: Of course, always in the town square.
- 33:11Speaker 3: There's a ton of show businesses of the town square.
- 33:14Speaker 3: If you go to the British town square, so many
- 33:17Speaker 3: show business.
- 33:18Speaker 1: If you read off an attendance list in a British
- 33:20Speaker 1: classroom and you say show business about ten students raised
- 33:23Speaker 1: there in the nightmare?
- 33:27Speaker 4: Okay, Artie, your turn, play the clip.
- 33:29Speaker 8: Okay.
- 33:47Speaker 2: I like the.
- 33:52Speaker 4: Wow drilling absolutely.
- 33:54Speaker 5: I can't watch my own work.
- 33:56Speaker 4: I can't even watch it. I couldn't even I mean, you're.
- 33:59Speaker 1: So far and then we didn't see you watch it.
- 34:02Speaker 11: I get it was so much more haunting this time
- 34:07Speaker 11: around the way that you speak and the way that
- 34:10Speaker 11: you s want to shuffle, and I could see, even
- 34:12Speaker 11: though it's a wide shot through the window, I don't
- 34:15Speaker 11: think you're blinking.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Yes, I wanted to bring this up. It was terrifying
- 34:19Speaker 3: to watch the first time I thought it was a
- 34:20Speaker 3: horror movie. I thought it was ad this weird, weird
- 34:23Speaker 3: horror movie. I felt so alone and so just dark
- 34:28Speaker 3: and overwhelming sense of gray took me over when I
- 34:31Speaker 3: first saw this movie.
- 34:32Speaker 5: Is frightening to here because I have to be well,
- 34:36Speaker 5: you know, it was so comforting. I I what was
- 34:39Speaker 5: so fun about my director? His name was hal Halvo,
- 34:43Speaker 5: and he's he was Swedish and they do really interesting
- 34:47Speaker 5: stuff in Sweden. Basically, he said, I'm gonna call action
- 34:50Speaker 5: and I'm gonna let you go for three months and
- 34:52Speaker 5: then i'll call cut.
- 34:53Speaker 4: And you'll be already no.
- 34:56Speaker 5: So he put me in this house. He gave me
- 34:57Speaker 5: all my favorite snacks. He gave me watermelon sur bench,
- 35:02Speaker 5: which I love, and I just kind of had to
- 35:06Speaker 5: live and imagine that. I was making a picture book
- 35:09Speaker 5: for three months and then he said cut, and I said,
- 35:12Speaker 5: do I have to go? And he said, yeah, where
- 35:15Speaker 5: were your kids?
- 35:16Speaker 4: Do you have children?
- 35:18Speaker 10: I do.
- 35:18Speaker 5: They were with mommy. They were with mommy for the
- 35:21Speaker 5: whole time. They know that I, you know, I'm an
- 35:24Speaker 5: actor now, so they know that I have to go
- 35:25Speaker 5: off in work. But they're sixteen and eighteen, and they,
- 35:29Speaker 5: you know, they couldn't want us to do with me. Teenagers,
- 35:33Speaker 5: you know what I mean. God, gosh, I don't know
- 35:36Speaker 5: if you guys have teenagers. But there are a lot
- 35:38Speaker 5: of work.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Oh, there are a lot of work. There are a
- 35:42Speaker 2: lot of work.
- 35:43Speaker 1: My boys smelled and stunk up to High Heaven from
- 35:46Speaker 1: ages thirteen to eighteen.
- 35:48Speaker 2: I had to leave the house.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I had to take up I had to keep taking
- 35:53Speaker 1: up oscar bait movies. I didn't want to, but I
- 35:56Speaker 1: haaded to get out of there so it stopped stinking
- 35:58Speaker 1: so much.
- 36:00Speaker 5: I have a question. I know, Judy that you're your
- 36:05Speaker 5: family was campaigning. Did you guys? That is a big
- 36:08Speaker 5: part of why people get successful nominations as campaigns. Did
- 36:13Speaker 5: you guys have anyone campaigning for you? Any studio help.
- 36:18Speaker 3: We tried to have a you know, we pushed. We
- 36:21Speaker 3: had our big studio. I mean, we had our like
- 36:23Speaker 3: a production company, really pushing for us. So I was
- 36:25Speaker 3: going to event after event after event, just showing up
- 36:28Speaker 3: and showing out. We were playing malls, we were playing
- 36:32Speaker 3: you know, bars, we were playing so many just the
- 36:35Speaker 3: one song. And I would go to TikTok events, you know,
- 36:38Speaker 3: like I started a TikTok page. It's actually blowing up
- 36:41Speaker 3: right now. People like really love my content. It's a
- 36:45Speaker 3: lot of me just duetting and going like this, like
- 36:47Speaker 3: pointing to the side and going this, you know so,
- 36:50Speaker 3: and I don't understand what they're saying. A lot of
- 36:53Speaker 3: them but my team says it's the best way, the
- 36:56Speaker 3: best way to get some credit and the best way
- 36:58Speaker 3: to get people butts in seats, because that's our business,
- 37:01Speaker 3: you know. So yeah, we really tried. We really pushed
- 37:06Speaker 3: farm from a loan is. You know. It did go
- 37:08Speaker 3: on the number one tracks for a little while, which
- 37:11Speaker 3: was really exciting. But they don't care. They'll give it
- 37:15Speaker 3: to Lin every fricking year. They'll give it to Lin.
- 37:18Speaker 3: It'll either be Lynn or Pitt. You know, Linn or Pitt,
- 37:21Speaker 3: And I'm fucking sick of it. Pitbull, Pitbull. It'll either
- 37:25Speaker 3: be Lynn, Manuel, Miranda or Pitbull with an original song.
- 37:29Speaker 1: I can't believe I lost the nomination last year to
- 37:33Speaker 1: pit Bull.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Best Actress I had. I had towels monogrammed and everything.
- 37:39Speaker 3: People are saving me. He was amazing though, in that
- 37:42Speaker 3: Selena reboot.
- 37:44Speaker 2: He was incredible as Selena. And that's the most infuriating part.
- 37:49Speaker 4: He was Nicole Kidman. Sometimes I think him and Nicole
- 37:51Speaker 4: Kidman lay down and go to bed at night and
- 37:54Speaker 4: they and they sleep next to Oscars because sometimes I go,
- 37:57Speaker 4: what did it?
- 37:59Speaker 8: What?
- 38:00Speaker 4: When you Pope get that Nomina.
- 38:02Speaker 5: Should well if you got the award and the dream
- 38:06Speaker 5: came true and you could give your acceptance speech. Yes,
- 38:12Speaker 5: what would you say? I think we can take this
- 38:15Speaker 5: moment and we can all give our acceptance speech.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Yes, what would have been? And frankly what should have been?
- 38:23Speaker 3: What would you have said?
- 38:24Speaker 5: Alreadie, I would think like I would like to think
- 38:30Speaker 5: my mommy and my daddy. I would like to think
- 38:33Speaker 5: how Halvo for halving me? And everyone would laugh. Tommy
- 38:38Speaker 5: Lee Jones was like, that guy's funny. I should work
- 38:40Speaker 5: with him, and my dream would come true.
- 38:44Speaker 3: Working with Tommy Lee Jones.
- 38:46Speaker 5: Yeah, he's so good and men in Black. Ever since
- 38:49Speaker 5: I saw him in min and Black, I said, I
- 38:51Speaker 5: want to I want to act.
- 38:54Speaker 3: That was twenty years ago with this.
- 38:56Speaker 5: Yeah, I've been thinking about it for a long time
- 38:58Speaker 5: and it came true. And then I would thank the Academy,
- 39:03Speaker 5: of course, and I would thank Eric Carl for I
- 39:08Speaker 5: would say, for lighting a spark that doesn't catch books
- 39:13Speaker 5: on fire.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Oh, that's beautiful. That's really good because of.
- 39:17Speaker 3: The whole burning book thing that's going on right now.
- 39:19Speaker 5: And I don't agree with it.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Oh, I don't agree with it. I don't agree with
- 39:25Speaker 2: it at all.
- 39:26Speaker 1: I think my speech, you know, I've been thinking about
- 39:29Speaker 1: it for many years because people kept telling me it
- 39:31Speaker 1: was gonna happen and telling me it was gonna happen.
- 39:33Speaker 1: And you know, maybe fingers crossed for next year, Sarah.
- 39:37Speaker 4: When you win, when you win, all stand up. I'll
- 39:40Speaker 4: stand up.
- 39:41Speaker 2: You'll stand for me. Oh, thank you.
- 39:44Speaker 4: It'll be a big moment.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Thanks servant, and I appreciate that.
- 39:48Speaker 1: And when I get up there, you know, I'm gonna
- 39:51Speaker 1: get up there, I'm gonna thank my team, I'm gonna
- 39:53Speaker 1: thank Jessica, Lynda Lee, everybody over and my manager. I'm
- 40:00Speaker 1: gonna thank everybody. I'm gonna thank my family. And then
- 40:03Speaker 1: I've been thinking about this for years. That classic joke
- 40:08Speaker 1: people get up there and they say, kids go to bed.
- 40:12Speaker 2: But I want to kick that up a notch. I
- 40:14Speaker 2: want to punch that up.
- 40:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna say, kiddos, get your pillows, it's sleepy time.
- 40:22Speaker 4: Oh thank god you have some time to Everyone's.
- 40:26Speaker 10: Gonna laugh, They're gonna laugh, They're gonna laugh, They're gonna laugh,
- 40:30Speaker 10: And as soon as the laughter stops, I'm gonna blow
- 40:33Speaker 10: a kiss and I'm gonna say, thank you God, I
- 40:41Speaker 10: am for this.
- 40:45Speaker 3: It's nice of you.
- 40:46Speaker 7: To wait till the laughter stops, for you to fully stop.
- 40:52Speaker 2: I want to make sure they hear it. And by day,
- 40:55Speaker 2: I mean father, son and the Holy Spirit.
- 41:00Speaker 5: What about you, Judy, what about you? What's your speech?
- 41:05Speaker 4: I'd I'd get up there. I'd get up there, and
- 41:09Speaker 4: i'd go the Queen's per Day, the Queen's Day. This
- 41:14Speaker 4: is for the cast and crew of the Queen's per Day.
- 41:18Speaker 4: And I would go through every single person on the
- 41:21Speaker 4: call sheet, PA to PA, to Buckingham Palace, site, rep
- 41:28Speaker 4: all of it. I'd do it all, and i'd wish
- 41:31Speaker 4: them all to thank you, because that movie and my
- 41:34Speaker 4: performance are one and one. And i'd give it back
- 41:37Speaker 4: to the Queen's per Day. And I would then, of course,
- 41:42Speaker 4: of course plug my my family. I'd plug my family.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Check out my family.
- 41:53Speaker 5: They sided to be really capable of people.
- 41:55Speaker 4: Yes, I'd plug them, and I'd say I'm not here
- 41:58Speaker 4: because of them, I'm here because of them.
- 42:03Speaker 5: You would say, I'm not here because of them, I'm here.
- 42:05Speaker 2: Because because of them.
- 42:06Speaker 4: Oh, I'm not here because of them, I'm here because
- 42:09Speaker 4: of them.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Yes, that's very good, that's very good. I didn't get
- 42:14Speaker 1: it at first, but now I really get it now.
- 42:17Speaker 2: I might cry.
- 42:18Speaker 3: This feels like a TikTok thing for me. I just
- 42:20Speaker 3: I don't understand.
- 42:22Speaker 4: Dookie, what would you do?
- 42:23Speaker 8: Yeah, Dookie mack.
- 42:26Speaker 3: Hey, it's do hear me? Idakis? I love how close
- 42:30Speaker 3: you've got with me. Yeah.
- 42:32Speaker 1: During the Oscars, the most important ceremony in all of Hollywood,
- 42:38Speaker 1: the most esteemed stage, They're gonna give it to a
- 42:41Speaker 1: kid named Dookie?
- 42:43Speaker 2: And then, what do you say?
- 42:45Speaker 3: What the fuck does that mean? We were cool? We
- 42:49Speaker 3: were cool? Why are you making fun of my? My
- 42:51Speaker 3: name is Duke, but my nickname is Doukie? Okay?
- 42:55Speaker 1: Do you ever you have a name it and it's
- 42:57Speaker 1: I've had teenage boys, I know what i Ookie is.
- 43:00Speaker 4: Oh, Sarah, you've got to get an oscar soon. You
- 43:04Speaker 4: are so bitter it's spilling out of your ear.
- 43:06Speaker 2: And I gotta stop firing on all cylinders like this.
- 43:09Speaker 2: It's exhausting.
- 43:10Speaker 1: I can't wait to stop firing on cylinders, any cylinders,
- 43:15Speaker 1: any cylinders. I'm going to sleep anyway, Dookie, I'm so sorry.
- 43:19Speaker 3: Well would you say no, it's fine, you just riped
- 43:21Speaker 3: my name in half? Well, I would go up there
- 43:23Speaker 3: and go first first. I'd act shocked at first act,
- 43:28Speaker 3: very shocked, very surprised, cannot believe it. I mean then
- 43:32Speaker 3: I would look around and I would just take it in.
- 43:34Speaker 3: I would take it in and just visualizing it right
- 43:37Speaker 3: now would be amazing. I would look around and see
- 43:39Speaker 3: like Shilah buff and I'd see like Adam Sandler, and
- 43:42Speaker 3: I'd see like Lewis e K. I'd see like all

- 44:01Speaker 3: a little wink of like you got it, you did it.
