- 0:22on static and midnight shows. MTV raised us.
- 0:29You already know lash key hearts and wild eye dreams, feral minds
- 0:38tearing at the scene. You say it's too much to unpack
- 0:46but I'll see you wait at the.
- 1:12Good morning. Welcome or welcome back to that
- 1:1410X from podcast. Before I begin, as usual, I want
- 1:19to give a shout out to MB Radio. Thank you.
- 1:22Just thank you. I appreciate it.
- 1:27OK, well, let's get to it. I I don't know if you guys have
- 1:33experiences, but I certainly have and more so now throughout
- 1:38the years as we move into the twenty 20s or and beyond.
- 1:44So I've noticed or felt like, wow, you know what?
- 1:51Why is everything? Our surroundings seem less
- 1:56colorful. Everything seems to be
- 2:01pageified. That's that's the word that I,
- 2:03you know, I put in the title it, it just doesn't make sense.
- 2:09Everything seems so boring, like new buildings that are popping
- 2:14up. They look like they came out of
- 2:15the same, you know, cookie cutter sort of thing.
- 2:20They're they're lacking the characteristics that we find so
- 2:30enticing it in history, right. Even in I I was so 1950s,
- 2:42sixties, seventies, 80s. It's just it's all sort of a
- 2:50palette of Gray, beige, subdued, blocky.
- 2:56There's no the Victorian buildings, you know, that have
- 3:01the carvings and different colours in the Yeah, well, but
- 3:13more and more now, and that's the difference.
- 3:20I started noticing. I'm like, OK, so when I walk
- 3:24into any big box stores, you can always find yourself confronted.
- 3:33I mean, confronted you're like, whoa, that's a lot of TV's like,
- 3:39and it seems like they're getting bigger and bigger and
- 3:43bigger and bigger too. Like that's a whole wall, like,
- 3:48and wow, you know, the images are coming out of it, like off
- 3:56the screen, like, wow, they're so beautiful.
- 4:00You know, because they, they have that little I I don't know,
- 4:03whatever plastic, they sort of adhere to the screen HD, you
- 4:10know, whatever high definition, whatever colours and all this
- 4:15stuff for your game playing for just regular viewing.
- 4:19And, and there's this loop, continuous loop of extraordinary
- 4:28images, like fields of flower, rainbow color flowers, right.
- 4:35And, and it's, it's, I guess it's the drone, maybe it's drone
- 4:40images of it sweeping over this field of rainbow color flowers
- 4:47and surrounded by grass. They're so green.
- 4:50Like I, you know, wrote in my description, you swear you can,
- 4:54you're benefited from the, the chlorophyll that's being
- 4:58synthesized and you know, because of the oxygen and all
- 5:01this stuff. And you can almost, because
- 5:04there's a slight breathe also too, you can see the flowers
- 5:09sort of, and the grass making a soft wave.
- 5:13And you, you swear if you stood there long enough and, and
- 5:19stared at it, it meant you can feel it almost.
- 5:22It's so real. It is so real.
- 5:27You know, as much as I, I try to stay away from like the wall of
- 5:34being confronted by the wall of big screens or whatever size the
- 5:39screen is. Sometimes I am just captivated,
- 5:43so drawn to whatever is being put on display of of life,
- 5:52right. Obviously it's not artificial
- 5:55images because we logically understand that if it's a like a
- 6:00cartoon, well, yeah, those images can be vivid and very
- 6:04colorful. That's not real life.
- 6:06We can walk away and laugh, whatever.
- 6:08But when it's the depiction is real life, we're we're drawn to
- 6:17it. You're like, wow, that's so
- 6:19awesome. And from what I was saying
- 6:23before, when we look around like it seems like our world, our
- 6:32environments are being pageified like everything looks like the
- 6:39inside of a bagel, very bland, right.
- 6:44I'm not saying bagel is not good, does not taste good or
- 6:47like bread. Like it's, it's not colorful.
- 6:51It's it's, it's beige. It's like the I guess if for all
- 6:56of us who went to boot camp. Really No, it's the inside of
- 6:59the squat that you're like, it's all the same like brown beige.
- 7:07I don't think there's white because it would get just get
- 7:09too dirty, but it's so boring. It's like eating oatmeal every
- 7:17day for every, every meal. That's what it feels like.
- 7:21But if you just suppose those two images like, but if you put
- 7:28yourself in front of the this TV's, all the images, they're
- 7:32colorful, they're vivid, They're like, I'm just so drawn in by
- 7:40it. You want to disappear into the
- 7:43images like because it seems so much more exciting.
- 7:45It's so alive. It's alive.
- 7:50Anybody who's watched Young Frankenstein, it, you know, most
- 7:56of the time when I do get caught up into watching those,
- 8:02sometimes I'm just like, that would be so awesome.
- 8:07I I do have to pull myself away from those screens because it
- 8:13because, well, you know, life is lifing and when I would do walk
- 8:18away, I I feel sort of like this, let being let down like
- 8:25man, I had to go back to the humdrum whatever oatmeal eaten
- 8:34every day, every meal life and it just doesn't feel as
- 8:39colorful, right. It doesn't feel colorful, it
- 8:42doesn't look colorful. It just, it just is compared to
- 8:50what we're being shown on the TV and it doesn't matter what we're
- 8:54watching because the whatever the technology is, it feels like
- 9:01all the colors are popping off the screen is are heightened.
- 9:05Like how come the red is so red in there?
- 9:07And when I look at it out here, just like man, like man.
- 9:16And I never quite understood or I mean, I, I don't, never gave
- 9:21it a second thought when I walk away, I'm like, I gotta go back
- 9:26to, to real life instead of yeah, I, I wanted to dive into
- 9:30those images that have been great, you know, but I never
- 9:35understood why or even thought about why I felt sort of somber
- 9:40or sad and just kind of let out a big sigh.
- 9:47It wasn't until recently when I sold my house, I sort of made
- 9:56the connection it, it started like, oh, maybe, maybe that's
- 10:00why I, I promise I will build a bridge to it.
- 10:07Well, when we sell anybody who sold a house recently,
- 10:11especially in recent years, of course you have to stage it.
- 10:14You have to make sure it looks nice.
- 10:16You have to live there, but make make it look like you don't live
- 10:20there. And the Realtors often give you
- 10:23the advice. Don't have pictures of make sure
- 10:27if you have accent walls, like just say you had like whatever
- 10:32color paint over it. You want the walls to be
- 10:35basically this color, right? Because not everybody likes
- 10:41different color walls. So at the end of this whole
- 10:47staging period of your house, the inside of it, everything is
- 10:53pageified and they don't want you to have anything in
- 10:58particular. That's too much for this, too
- 11:01much for that. Basically, you're selling it to
- 11:03the masses and not those who potentially will have the same
- 11:09taste as you and I. I don't know who who really do
- 11:12have the same taste. And even for individuals who may
- 11:18not be selling their house, if you look inside a lot because a
- 11:23lot of people now actually do film or you know, do their
- 11:29little social media posts from the inside house, even while
- 11:34living in there and not having to consider selling or appealing
- 11:39to the public who may be coming to see the house, You can see a
- 11:46lot of it is toned down like it. It became popular, I think in
- 11:51the early 2000s, this subdued look, right?
- 11:58Some at most things are off wife, off, white, beige, white,
- 12:04like green, not green, Gray. And then your surroundings also
- 12:11become the same palette. And also when I was mentioning
- 12:20the buildings, they're also the same color.
- 12:22So from the environments that we live in to the environments that
- 12:28we go out to that encounter us, it's slowly being like the
- 12:34colour is being bleached out for reasons unknown to me.
- 12:41I don't know why. Well, here lies my theory.
- 12:52Compared to even when I said in like 80s, you know, 'cause
- 12:57people walked around loud shirts and you know, big hair, which I,
- 13:03I did appreciate that. And you know, all the colors so
- 13:08bright and even in our own homes we have neon.
- 13:14We had all this and usually we lived in homes with like shag
- 13:18carpet of different very bright colors, not saying the best
- 13:24colors, like just weird. Like potentially you could have
- 13:28been living in houses that were built in the, I don't know, 9
- 13:36early 1900s, like or mid 1900s during the war, post war and you
- 13:42have pink sinks or teal or whatever.
- 13:46And our houses were also filled with colorful little Knick
- 13:51knacks and gadgets. And and we had those couches
- 13:55that are Oh my goodness, I don't know if you guys remember or you
- 13:58probably had this couches that were filled with like flowers.
- 14:03There was a meme where a army dude was wearing the sort of, I
- 14:09don't know, the grey looking cammies.
- 14:14I think they still called the BDU.
- 14:16I'm not sure, but he sort of disappeared into it.
- 14:20That those kind of couches mate, Granted, they were not the
- 14:24prettiest, but they still brought some sort of like
- 14:28pattern color. And we may not appreciate all
- 14:32the colors of the past, but of our environments, but
- 14:37nonetheless, they there was there was color.
- 14:40There were things didn't all blend together, like just a big
- 14:45bowl of mashed potatoes, you know, or oatmeal.
- 14:49I keep saying I must be hungry. I'm using a lot of food
- 14:53references, but but why like selling my house like, oh God, I
- 15:03can't. I basically put away every
- 15:08piece, if not all of it that had any sort of color for fear of
- 15:16causing somebody be like, oh, I did not like that in there.
- 15:20That was, you know, her decorations were awful and I
- 15:24could not see myself living in the house which my decorations
- 15:27would have been gone. They could have put whatever.
- 15:30So I had to make it as mild as possible.
- 15:36And that's when I started thinking, wow.
- 15:40So this trend versus the trend of having HDT VS are as big as
- 15:46your wall with life popping out at you at maximum speed at
- 15:52saturated colors. So colors are so saturated and
- 15:56so life filled with life compared to what we live around
- 16:06that we are now. We want to, we need to be
- 16:12simulated in that way, right? Not just colors.
- 16:15Because more and more now, even if it's depicting real life or
- 16:24not real life, but just life, everything pops.
- 16:28It's so pop, it's popping it on the TV compared to our life and
- 16:34it's increasingly subtly but increasingly making us look at
- 16:46live in the images of the TV, right?
- 16:52Because our environment is so bland that the only excitement
- 16:58that only what not excitement, stimulation like real what we
- 17:06think life should be is not what we're living, but what's being
- 17:11depicted on the TV. We want to go in there.
- 17:14So we increasingly immerse ourselves into those images and
- 17:20watch the fields of rainbow colored flowers and the green
- 17:26grass and we stay inside, glued to the TV, needing more and more
- 17:31of life on screen instead of life in real life.
- 17:36In our reality, surrounded by beta fied everything seems like
- 17:47we don't have a choice. Like why can't I disappear into
- 17:51that? Why does life have to be this?
- 17:54Because if you walk around being colorful, right, you'll get
- 18:01noticed. And some people do choose that.
- 18:04But most people have because we buy what's being sold.
- 18:13And even the clothes. As a woman, I look at different
- 18:19companies. You know, you go online, you
- 18:21just scrolling. You do scrolling because why?
- 18:25And I look at all the different clothing colors and they're
- 18:29pretty bland, right? There's really no choice.
- 18:35So we are being almost forced by the environmental factors to
- 18:46envy what's being displayed on the screen because that's what
- 18:52real that's what we think real life should be.
- 18:55But what we live is completely different.
- 19:00It is this how the industries are.
- 19:06You can say this is conspiracy theory, but I find my maybe this
- 19:10is just me. OK, so but I do find myself
- 19:15longing for to be in those images.
- 19:18Like I'm not talking about crazy stuff.
- 19:22I I don't watch true crime and stuff like that.
- 19:28I'm talking about like people go on vacation.
- 19:31Wow, they give the best images, right?
- 19:34They give the highlight reel of what they experienced, not the
- 19:40mundane, not the bland mashed potatoes, oatmeal version,
- 19:45right? And we're living life that life
- 19:50doesn't have highlight reels in a bridge time.
- 19:56Like, oh, people, when they go on vacation, of course they're
- 19:59not going to show you. Oh my goodness.
- 20:01I sat in the freaking airplane seat for 10 hours.
- 20:04I couldn't move and my legs were dying like they go to when they
- 20:08arrive, when they were went to wherever this monument, this
- 20:13place. And they were odd.
- 20:15And the people and the environment was great.
- 20:23And so that also adds quote UN quote color seems life is more
- 20:29vivid on screen because it's not in real time.
- 20:34It's condensed to only show us the good, the beautiful vivid
- 20:40part, right? The rainbow color flowers or
- 20:43whatever you like the the race driver speeding down this
- 20:48roadway and just oh wow, you know, but not the, I don't know,
- 20:54the maintenance that goes into the cars, any of the things that
- 21:03we perceive as being beige, like, Oh my God, I, I know I
- 21:08have to do this and it's so boring.
- 21:10They show you the final outcome, like let's just say fitness
- 21:18influencer and they show you a picture of themselves just cut
- 21:25and they're beautiful. Their body is, they're strong
- 21:29and all this stuff. American Ninja.
- 21:34I don't know, I, I, I don't watch those shows, but they
- 21:39compete in these difficult, very challenging athletic
- 21:47competitions And you see them, you see they are ripped with
- 21:51muscle and they did all these fantastic things.
- 21:54But very seldom do we see the mundane like they get up every
- 22:00day at maybe, I don't know, 4/3 in the morning to work out for
- 22:05hours. That's mundane.
- 22:09That's the mashed potatoes. What we're seeing is the when
- 22:13they are competing and they're doing all these feats of just
- 22:18great physicality, I don't know, That's like Thanksgiving.
- 22:22Not only did you have mashed potatoes, now you have the
- 22:25cranberry sauce, you have people there, There's jolly music
- 22:29playing. Nobody's fighting.
- 22:31We're talking about good Thanksgiving, right?
- 22:34And like life comes together and it's just like, wow, that's
- 22:38life. And we're watching them.
- 22:40We're so drawn in. But it it ultimately, or not
- 22:52ultimately slowly, it's eroding our own enjoyment of life, real
- 23:00life with its own highlight reels.
- 23:03It just comes in a longer duration, right?
- 23:08We have those highlight reels too.
- 23:09That's what those people on TV are showing, those highlight
- 23:15reels, those beautiful moments that that make us feel alive.
- 23:25And more and more we're just, we would rather be living life in
- 23:34the screens or on the screens or it within the stories that's
- 23:38being within life, that's being displayed on screens than living
- 23:41our real life. And what's stopping us to say,
- 23:48OK, you're living in your house, you're not selling it if your
- 23:53house, I'm renting, so I'm not doing this.
- 23:58What's stopping anybody from putting up that really, I don't
- 24:04know, a bright yellow wall or maybe make your whole house
- 24:09bright yellow, whatever color, right?
- 24:11Just to add color and bring back the the Knick knacks that we had
- 24:18or people had from even the 80s or potentially even the early
- 24:2590s or or 40s or 50s and make your house colorful so you're
- 24:33living a colorful life instead of longing for this colorful
- 24:37life that is being put on display while our environment,
- 24:43this is not. Some of it is within our
- 24:45control, how we live within our own environment.
- 24:49But while life is being drained, real life is being drained of
- 24:53its colors. We can still inject color into
- 24:57our own lives, the same that's being displayed on the TV, but
- 25:07with the highlight reels, which also inject color, right?
- 25:11This colorful life that we want, but we can notice those moments.
- 25:20It might take a little longer, but we can capture it, we can
- 25:24put it down, we can document it and then look back on the
- 25:28highlights, on the vividness of our own life to rival anything
- 25:35that can be displayed on TV. Real life is so much more
- 25:41colorful. I can't, I can't get away from
- 25:43this colorful thing because I because that's how they entice
- 25:46us. They they just, oh, look at all
- 25:48this. It's so much more exciting.
- 25:50Real life is so much more exciting when taken in the
- 25:53collective than anything they can put on TV Our lives, right?
- 26:00Like put on something colorful today.
- 26:04Like don't there are plenty of resale stores that sell very
- 26:11bright. Whatever, right?
- 26:13Inject the color into your own life.
- 26:15Go and see fields of flower, rainbow colored flowers if you
- 26:21can. If you live near, I don't know,
- 26:27gardens, go see it. Maybe that's not your thing.
- 26:30Go to a museum or go for go for a walk in the fall and actually
- 26:37enjoy the changing of the colours, right?
- 26:40Instead of living life, peering life and wishing we were living
- 26:48life through screens. And I suppose that's why a lot
- 26:56of us are addicted to addicted to screens and just 24/7 because
- 27:02it's the dopamine hit right? There's there's so many
- 27:06different factors, but I really do believe that we are
- 27:12collectively being almost hypnotized to disregard real
- 27:25life and to dive into this. Images that are curated captured
- 27:32the highlight reels that add color to life that we want to
- 27:35live in a way to control. I know, here we go.
- 27:40I should have put on a tinfoil hat.
- 27:44I didn't think of it until now. But I don't.
- 27:47I don't know if it's so much as the conspiracy theory, but now
- 27:55the ice cream we eat is not, doesn't taste as good as the ice
- 27:59cream, the same ice cream that's being shown on the TV, right?
- 28:03Because it seems like it, it's brighter, it, it's tastier
- 28:07because the actors are like, oh wow, so good, right?
- 28:11And we, we have it in front of us and, and while we're watching
- 28:16TV, we don't even notice what it tastes like, how our taste buds
- 28:21respond to it, right? We we keep filling our lives up
- 28:28with images which also distort what real life is.
- 28:34Those sat like the color saturated images that are being
- 28:39brought up on the screens. It's not real.
- 28:42It is not real. There's no way.
- 28:47It's just not real. OK, But the color that we can
- 28:53put, the colors that we can experience, right?
- 28:56The colors that we can experience in life, whether
- 29:01through pictures or to your surroundings or your own
- 29:04highlight reel that adds the burst of color in your life
- 29:08that's real, that will stick with us without leaving a
- 29:13longing for this artificially injected.
- 29:19It's it's like lip fillers, right?
- 29:21It's not real. OK, we all know it.
- 29:23There's it's, it's not real in a severe frown lines.
- 29:30What are those anyways? I'm just saying if you get
- 29:33Botox, that's not real. I, I, it's, you think you're
- 29:42adding a little color because you're getting older, right?
- 29:45You're actually removing the color from your life.
- 29:48I'm not saying you shouldn't take care of yourself.
- 29:51You know, I guess people want to do what they want to do, but
- 29:54that's part of the the gradual beauty of life or not beauty.
- 30:04Like a lot of us. I'm older.
- 30:07I do have lots of severe frown lines, Not frown lines, lines,
- 30:13wrinkles, but that that shows me that I lived.
- 30:20And when we when we voluntarily erase the color of our lives, I
- 30:25mean the colorful life that we have lived from the signs, from
- 30:29our skin, from maybe our, our dress, how we act, how we
- 30:33behave, how we want to decorate, what kind of, you know, cars we
- 30:39want to drive? Well, we're baitifying it and
- 30:43giving all these artificial narratives colors, the control
- 30:52to sort of manipulate in our own minds.
- 30:55Like, oh, my life is so boring. I wish it wasn't like that.
- 30:58But when we look around, it's not.
- 31:00It's not. So for those who have, I know
- 31:04I'm everywhere. It's just that I just feel I'm
- 31:10nerved by how life has become colorless like by design.
- 31:18If you look around the environment, right?
- 31:21I live in a pretty old city and there are not as many cookie
- 31:30cutter houses. And I, I walk around, there's
- 31:33stained color, stained glass that gives the building
- 31:38character versus I've also lived in California where all the
- 31:42houses basically you have choice of like 3 different houses on
- 31:46the same block. It basically you can walk into
- 31:49anybody's house and know exactly the layout and all this stuff.
- 31:52You don't have to ask where's the bathroom, right?
- 31:54But here you do. And, and it's slowly, slowly
- 31:59eroding life like the beauty of life for this Gray
- 32:11commercialized thing, industrial, very sterile.
- 32:15And that's unnerving to me. And I do find myself, that's,
- 32:18that's where I guess I want to share.
- 32:24I do find myself longing for the beautiful images being shown
- 32:31across my screen. And I sit and I look around and
- 32:36I'm like, oh, my life is so boring.
- 32:37But it's not so it's not so like when I look at my fur baby, he's
- 32:44colorful. He's colorful, right?
- 32:47He adds, he injects color into my life when he, when I every
- 32:55time I take him out to, you know, do his business, I found
- 33:00that he sneezes. He's he's so happy, I guess he's
- 33:04so happy. He sneezes, right?
- 33:06And he's wagging his tail and sometimes he he dances a little
- 33:13and that's, that's colorful. That's like, I can feel the
- 33:18burst of like, let's just say, you know, happiness is, I don't
- 33:22know if you feel this way, but it's like a burst of yellow sun
- 33:26kind of popping into my life right then and there.
- 33:29Sometimes I'm like, dude, you're like, when he dances, he will
- 33:33step on my feet. I'm like, dude, you're crushing
- 33:35my feet, right. Even that is it, it adds color,
- 33:42but it wasn't until recently that I noticed these things
- 33:45because I I didn't have the bandwidth because of all that
- 33:49stuff with my house. Those who have listened to me
- 33:53for a while, you know, I had Oh my goodness, that was crazy.
- 33:57But I started noticing these things and how he would do
- 34:01different things. And he is a big, he covers a
- 34:07wide color palette in my life, right?
- 34:13He, he brings me joy and it's colorful joy and, and sometimes
- 34:17he makes me, he frustrates me. And that's also another
- 34:21different color. You can, I don't know if you can
- 34:24really see that on screen. I know I, I do watch a lot of
- 34:29those videos on screen about how puppies do crazy things and make
- 34:34people laugh, but that feels flat to me because it's not my
- 34:41own. It's not his.
- 34:43His pen name is JoJo, OK? It is not JoJo doing those
- 34:46things. While I can relate and I think
- 34:48they're cute, it's almost like I'm, I'm a, I'm alive.
- 34:55You know, when he does those things, it injects color into my
- 34:59life. It injects life into my life.
- 35:03It it is incomparable. Nothing on screen can ever, ever
- 35:08compete with what he does. And I wonder, can can, can we
- 35:16take back the control? Sure we can't.
- 35:19You can wear you can be like the 70s and dressed in outrageous
- 35:26colors. You can be like the 80s and
- 35:28dressed in outrageous colors. You can be like the 40s and 50s
- 35:34and how women dressed men dressed with being dapper,
- 35:40right? They had the fedora looking hats
- 35:45and women did the hair. And be your, be your own color.
- 35:50Be colorful, not just in what you wear and what you eat and
- 35:56how what color your surroundings are.
- 35:59But notice the colors in your own life, which is unrivaled.
- 36:08No TV can rival it. And do you have the resources to
- 36:11go see the fields of flour rather than to watch it on TV?
- 36:16Wouldn't it be better? Wouldn't it?
- 36:18Wouldn't that feel more alive? Wouldn't that be more colourful
- 36:24in real life? I, I just think we have been
- 36:30sort of slowly being cornered into not paying attention to our
- 36:40own colourful lives by by design.
- 36:46And we seek the highlight reels of somebody else's life, even
- 36:52though they had to live that mundane thing, but they
- 36:54presented us. Look at how exciting my life is
- 36:56and yours is not, but ours. Our lives are colorful depending
- 37:02on and it, it doesn't have to be just all happy because I, I
- 37:06don't know how I, I don't think we can function like that.
- 37:09It, it's all of the colors of the rainbow, right?
- 37:14It could be because you're mad. You are so spectacularly mad at
- 37:18something. Well, that's color and you were
- 37:20so moved, you were crying. That's color.
- 37:24That's colorful. That's a vivid blue for me,
- 37:29right? Perhaps you fell in love with a
- 37:35piece of music and you couldn't stop listening to it for hours
- 37:42and days, maybe months. That's colour it it.
- 37:46It imprinted this feeling that no, nothing on screen can elicit
- 37:56from you as what you're experiencing can do.
- 38:01And nothing imprints in your memory.
- 38:06Because when we, when we close our eyes, you may not see life
- 38:10as color because I'm using it as a metaphor.
- 38:14The different nuanced feelings. You could have been sad, glad,
- 38:18and, you know, a little nostalgic all at the same time.
- 38:25And sure, maybe a movie that you saw triggered something like it.
- 38:33But you, you will soon forget. We don't really remember movies,
- 38:38right? We remember the only reason why
- 38:40we relate to movies that bring our colorful emotions back is
- 38:49because we've experienced it. We know how that feels, that
- 38:51sort of how it feels in the heart and the mind.
- 38:56And if for those who are just listening, I'm doing, when I say
- 38:58the Colorful Life, I'm doing air quotes because that's what I see
- 39:02as adding color, right? And that's why I see us being so
- 39:10drawn to those big screens. That's colorful life.
- 39:14Life is colorful in the screens because guess what?
- 39:17The, the, the color saturation, you can change color saturation,
- 39:22right? You can make it bland if you
- 39:23want to. That's why we're so fixed on it,
- 39:29because we feel that our lives are not colorful because it's
- 39:34being pageified. It really is.
- 39:36And we're sort of going along with it.
- 39:38I'm not saying we're consciously doing it, but just by design,
- 39:42we're like, oh, McDonald's looks like it's just a big old grey
- 39:45box. OK.
- 39:47I miss when they had the, you know, ball pits where you can
- 39:51probably catch every disease. You know, it was colorful and
- 39:58there's no such thing now. But we can't.
- 40:02We do have agency over how we live our own colorful lives.
- 40:11Experience the color within our own lives instead of being
- 40:14captured in totality by whatever they feed us on screen.
- 40:20Take back control. Do it in your own way.
- 40:23It doesn't have to be clothes. It doesn't have to be how you
- 40:25paint your house. It can just be that you are
- 40:29living in color. Wait, wasn't that a show?
- 40:34I'm getting old. I can't remember.
- 40:38So see, that's colorful that I don't know which color shame is,
- 40:45but I, I felt it. So I I don't remember, but yeah,
- 40:52like you can live your life in full HD color saturation to
- 40:58whatever you want to. You don't have to stare at ATV.
- 41:03You don't have to long for it because you are living it.
- 41:08Just meh. Let TV be TV and let us be the
- 41:17real artist, the the masters that we can live our life in our
- 41:24own colorful way. I think perhaps that can be one
- 41:30of the factors that will remove us from being so glued to all
- 41:35the screens, because I'm glued to screens, right?
- 41:38And but you know, but when I have to take JoJo out, oh, I
- 41:42noticed he's very colorful. Him as a little little dance.
- 41:48It's a burst of light for me. It's very bright.
- 41:52So I guess, as usual, most of this stuff I talk about is
- 42:00because I notice it and I find deficiency in myself.
- 42:04And I'm sharing it because man, life seems just like a big old
- 42:10bowl of mashed potatoes. And I love mashed potatoes, but
- 42:13not the living life in that beige beige fine way is boring
- 42:20because I did it. I don't have to eat mashed
- 42:25potatoes all the time. Even if I loved it, it gets
- 42:28boring. It's because I got bamboozled.
- 42:34I got hypnotized. I got tricked into thinking that
- 42:38a digital presented projected image of life is so much richer
- 42:45in color than what I'm living, which is not true.
- 42:50I hope I was able to draw the the build a bridge for, you
- 42:55know, selling the house, because I had to baitify everything
- 42:58like, man, it's so boring. Who will want to buy this?
- 43:02And still I had people like, oh, I can never do that.
- 43:05That's just too. I can't I don't like those
- 43:07colors. I'm like, what?
- 43:10I didn't understand it. So it's that was the basically
- 43:13the I guess the string that sort of unravelled everything that
- 43:18eventually pulled the light bulb moment like aha, I get it.
- 43:22The light came on. So I wanted to share it.
- 43:26Our lives are so much more colorful than what is presented
- 43:29on TV. And if you have the opportunity
- 43:32and the resources to go see those colorful things that you
- 43:36want to experience in your life and do it, and if you prefer to
- 43:41add color to your own life, than do it.
- 43:44We have the control and I and I hope we can collectively take
- 43:49back the beauty of life, the color of life, how colorful life
- 43:56is away from industries are designed to remove us from the
- 44:08beauty within our own lives. Yeah, I think I'd be that that
- 44:14hoarse enough. So as usual, I'll see you guys
- 44:21in two weeks. And thank you for being here and
- 44:23listening to my deep thoughts. Not really.
- 44:28I do remember there was a skit on SNL about deep thoughts.
- 44:33Our mind just is ridiculous, but thank you for being here and
- 44:37listening to me and I pray for you guys all the time until two
- 44:41weeks from now. Have a blessed day.
