- 0:00Speaker 1: More Mark.
- 0:01Speaker 2: The Mark Simone Show.
- 0:03Speaker 1: On 710WOR.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Thank you, Shadow Stevens. Welcome to hour number two. That's right.
- 0:10Speaker 3: If you still don't know, the show is now three hours.
- 0:13Speaker 3: We start at 9 a.m. It's now nine to nine.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Now three hours. It wasn't my idea, but it's worked
- 0:21Speaker 3: out very well. Nine to ten hour is way, way
- 0:25Speaker 3: up in the ratings, and we are killing everybody between
- 0:28Speaker 3: nine and ten. So thanks to you, we got a
- 0:32Speaker 3: lot to get to this hour. We'll get to all sorts.
- 0:36Speaker 3: We'll get to Bruce Blakeman, Kathy Hochul. Blakeman, I think,
- 0:40Speaker 3: is on his way to a big victory. A lot
- 0:43Speaker 3: of momentum there. The midterms, Republicans most likely will win
- 0:48Speaker 3: the Senate. Looks very good for the Senate. Now, the House,
- 0:53Speaker 3: that could go either way. It's just too close to call.
- 0:56Speaker 3: And the polls are very... crazy rigged and skewed, so
- 1:00Speaker 3: you can't go by them. It's hard to tell. Now,
- 1:04Speaker 3: you've got a lot of places like Michigan where you've
- 1:06Speaker 3: got this crazy Muhammad Abdul, Al-Sayyad, this communist crazy, almost
- 1:12Speaker 3: a doctor, not quite a doctor, a little bit of
- 1:15Speaker 3: a doctor, but he's not really a doctor. And you've
- 1:18Speaker 3: got the normal candidate, good, solid guy, Mike Rogers running
- 1:22Speaker 3: in Michigan. Forget what the polls show. They're always skewed
- 1:25Speaker 3: way to the left. Michigan, I'm from Michigan. Michigan's a good,
- 1:28Speaker 3: common-sense kind of place. You've got to figure, there's a
- 1:31Speaker 3: couple of pockets of crazy, radical voters, but most of
- 1:35Speaker 3: Michigan will go with Rogers, and Rogers still battling El-Sayed.
- 1:40Speaker 3: He can't even get along with his other senators. He's
- 1:42Speaker 3: already threatened one of his Democrat senators, put his head
- 1:44Speaker 3: on a pike.
- 1:46Speaker 4: I mean, this guy's angry and divisive, and when he
- 1:48Speaker 4: does that kind of thing, you're never going to get
- 1:50Speaker 4: a problem fixed.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Yeah, well, that's him on El-Sayed. El-Sayed... In the Senate,
- 1:56Speaker 3: the Democrats in the Senate, they don't want Al-Sayed. They
- 1:59Speaker 3: do not want to work.
- 1:59Speaker 1: With this guy.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Here's Al-Sayed yelling and screaming about something.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Why do you.
- 2:05Speaker 5: Think that Republicans are really using you to attack the
- 2:10Speaker 5: whole Democratic Party?
- 2:13Speaker 4: I think we all well know why they're doing it.
- 2:16Speaker 3: My name's Abdul. I'm Muslim. It's not the communist stuff.
- 2:20Speaker 3: It's not the crazy positions you've taken. It's your first name.
- 2:23Speaker 3: That's what Most voters, that's what they go by. They
- 2:25Speaker 3: vote based on the first name. You're always going to
- 2:28Speaker 3: get this kind of stuff. Even crazy Kathy Hochul, Blakeman
- 2:33Speaker 3: was just mopping the floor with her in the debate,
- 2:35Speaker 3: and she panicked, and she went total panic. Remember, she
- 2:39Speaker 3: started yelling, Blakeman is a QAnon. He's hanging around with
- 2:43Speaker 3: white supremacists. Now, of course, it's preposterous when you look
- 2:48Speaker 3: at Bruce Blakeman, but that's what you do. When you're
- 2:51Speaker 3: Kathy Hochul and you're in desperate trouble in a debate,
- 2:54Speaker 3: you pull out that crazy low-life Joe Biden kind of crap.
- 2:58Speaker 3: That's what Biden used to do in a debate. He'd
- 3:00Speaker 3: yell and scream, you're a white supremacist, you're a QAnon,
- 3:03Speaker 3: you're an alt-right. Nobody knows what the hell QAnon is
- 3:05Speaker 3: or what alt-right is. It's some chat room on the
- 3:08Speaker 3: internet that nobody's been in, nobody knows about. I mean,
- 3:11Speaker 3: he said he's hanging around with QAnon. He couldn't hang
- 3:14Speaker 3: around with QAnon if he wanted to. Nobody knows who
- 3:17Speaker 3: the hell it is or where it is. If I
- 3:19Speaker 3: said right now, let me go hang out with QAnon,
- 3:23Speaker 3: where's that? So it was real low-level Joe Biden crap.
- 3:27Speaker 3: The fact that Hochul resorted to that was, it was
- 3:30Speaker 3: an amazing moment. And it just shows how empty her
- 3:33Speaker 3: argument was that she tried that kind of crap. So
- 3:37Speaker 3: here's the problem. If, let's say Democrats were to win
- 3:41Speaker 3: the whole thing, Senate, House, they're not, but let's say
- 3:46Speaker 3: they were. They would then go full crazy. They would
- 3:51Speaker 3: be able to pass anything and everything. They would pass
- 3:53Speaker 3: the most radical, crazy nonsense. They'd impeach Trump. They would
- 3:57Speaker 3: just go berserk. This would cost them the 2028 election.
- 4:01Speaker 3: So you've got to remember, if they win big, they're
- 4:04Speaker 3: going to lose in 2028 because the public won't like
- 4:07Speaker 3: all this crap they're going to do. So they would
- 4:09Speaker 3: lose in 2028. Also remember, even if they just win
- 4:13Speaker 3: the House, that will give them a lot of power
- 4:16Speaker 3: in Congress. They will come for Chuck Schumer. They will
- 4:19Speaker 3: take him out. Chuck Schumer is the worst politician, the
- 4:24Speaker 3: most awful thing that ever happened in New York. He
- 4:27Speaker 3: may have been good in the beginning, but he just
- 4:30Speaker 3: became a low-life, cheap politician, just doing favors for donors,
- 4:34Speaker 3: collecting money. He's always there when you don't need him.
- 4:38Speaker 3: He's never there when you need him. When the crazy
- 4:43Speaker 3: anti-Semitism was putting kids in Columbia University and other places
- 4:47Speaker 3: in great physical danger. Where was Schumer? Left town. Remember
- 4:52Speaker 3: during the pandemic? Left town. Remember during the riots? Left town.
- 4:55Speaker 3: He's always hiding. He's never there when you need him.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Only there when you don't need him. When the anti-Semitism
- 5:01Speaker 3: spread like wildfire, he ran the other way. In fact,
- 5:06Speaker 3: he even went along with all the crazy democratic socialists
- 5:09Speaker 3: and anti-Israel and anti-Semites. You know, in the middle of
- 5:13Speaker 3: all that, he wrote a book called Anti-Semitism. That was
- 5:17Speaker 3: just for cover. That was just in case anybody brought
- 5:19Speaker 3: up the fact that he was playing along with these anti-Semites.
- 5:23Speaker 3: He could point to the book. That's the only reason
- 5:25Speaker 3: he wrote that book, just to give himself some cover.
- 5:27Speaker 3: But it fooled nobody. It didn't fool anyone. And obviously,
- 5:32Speaker 3: Republicans don't like him, except the donors. But Democrats don't
- 5:36Speaker 3: like him either, except the donors. But he's finished. If
- 5:40Speaker 3: the Democrats win big, First thing they're going to do
- 5:44Speaker 3: is throw Schumer the hell out. That'll be the end
- 5:46Speaker 3: of Schumer. A lot of establishment politicians will get thrown
- 5:50Speaker 3: out if these crazies win. But it looks like Republicans
- 5:54Speaker 3: will hold the Senate. The House could go either way.
- 5:59Speaker 3: You'd need a lot of momentum and a lot of turnout.
- 6:03Speaker 3: That's what this No Kings rally was about. But also
- 6:05Speaker 3: you've got Donald Trump out there. If anybody can pull
- 6:08Speaker 3: a rabbit out of the hat, it'll be him in
- 6:10Speaker 3: the end. The midterms are 15 days away. They're two
- 6:15Speaker 3: weeks from tomorrow. You're in the final two weeks of
- 6:18Speaker 3: the campaign. And you got to remember, there's early voting
- 6:20Speaker 3: already getting underway. So the election is pretty much on
- 6:25Speaker 3: right now. Hey, in the Ukraine, Zelensky turning on President Trump,
- 6:30Speaker 3: which not a smart thing to do, but in his defense,
- 6:34Speaker 3: President Trump turned on him first. Even last week saying
- 6:39Speaker 3: Ukraine should get a new leader. Now, From the beginning,
- 6:44Speaker 3: the only reason the Ukraine survived is the U.S. backed it.
- 6:48Speaker 3: The only reason the Ukraine is still there is because
- 6:50Speaker 3: we provided all the weapons, all the military power, all
- 6:54Speaker 3: the money for the first few years. The war is
- 6:57Speaker 3: like now, it's like year 27 of this war. Actually,
- 7:00Speaker 3: what is it, year five already? Year four or five
- 7:03Speaker 3: of this war? But we totally saved Ukraine with weapons,
- 7:09Speaker 3: with money, with everything they needed. Now, give Ukraine credit,
- 7:13Speaker 3: in the last couple of years, they started to make
- 7:16Speaker 3: their own weapons, drones, state-of-the-art, unbelievable drones. They even started
- 7:21Speaker 3: to build their own drone factories. They're turning them out
- 7:24Speaker 3: by the thousands. Then they started to make their own missiles,
- 7:27Speaker 3: their own missile factories. Zelensky has been brilliant about that. Ukraine, amazing.
- 7:32Speaker 3: That's how we won World War II, by coming up
- 7:35Speaker 3: with the right weapons and being able to manufacture them
- 7:37Speaker 3: a lot bigger and better than the enemy. Well, that's
- 7:40Speaker 3: what Ukraine has done here with drones and missiles. So
- 7:42Speaker 3: that's great. But we've needed them to stop doing certain things.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Don't take out the Russian oil refineries because that drives
- 7:53Speaker 3: up the price of oil like crazy. And President Trump
- 7:57Speaker 3: asked him to stop hitting the refineries. Zelensky didn't listen.
- 8:02Speaker 3: And then the next day and the next day and
- 8:04Speaker 3: the next day took out Russian oil refineries. He's still
- 8:07Speaker 3: doing it. So that upset President Trump. He let Zelensky
- 8:10Speaker 3: have it. He even said you should get a new
- 8:12Speaker 3: leader in the Ukraine. So Zelensky is going now after Trump.
- 8:17Speaker 3: He's afraid to come right out and attack him. But
- 8:20Speaker 3: he kind of did here by saying it's the EU,
- 8:23Speaker 3: the European Union. They've kind of stepped in and they've
- 8:28Speaker 3: been helping out with money and whatever. So listen to this.
- 8:32Speaker 3: He's trying to praise the EU, European Union, but He's
- 8:36Speaker 3: kind of letting you know, forget Trump. The only ones
- 8:39Speaker 3: that are there for me are the EU.
- 8:41Speaker 6: I'm so thankful that we have such huge support from EU,
- 8:44Speaker 6: Council Commission, and leaders, real leaders, so that they stay
- 8:51Speaker 6: with us from the very beginning of this war.
- 8:54Speaker 3: See what I mean? They are leaders, real leaders, unlike Trump.
- 9:00Speaker 3: All right, he's entitled to that. Trump went after him first.
- 9:02Speaker 3: But this... is what was supposed to happen in the
- 9:06Speaker 3: first place. It was supposed to be the EU back
- 9:08Speaker 3: in the... It wasn't just supposed to be us with
- 9:11Speaker 3: the money and the weapons. Where was the EU for
- 9:13Speaker 3: the first three, four years? They should have been handling this.
- 9:17Speaker 3: It's in their backyard. It's their problem a lot more
- 9:20Speaker 3: than it's ours. So, hey, and it turns out, remember
- 9:24Speaker 3: last week, the Starlink, the Elon Musk system, the satellite system,
- 9:31Speaker 3: And they have the military version, which is way beyond
- 9:35Speaker 3: the civilian version, the military version. They were depending on
- 9:39Speaker 3: that for communications to get their intelligence, U.S. providing them
- 9:43Speaker 3: with intelligence. The Starlink was vital to them to find
- 9:47Speaker 3: out targeting and all that stuff. Well, it went down
- 9:51Speaker 3: last week for a couple of days. And Zelensky blamed
- 9:57Speaker 3: Elon Musk. Elon Musk then tweeted out... he has nothing
- 10:01Speaker 3: to do with turning on or off the Starlink. That
- 10:03Speaker 3: would be the U.S. military and the president. And then
- 10:07Speaker 3: the U.S. military and the president said they didn't turn
- 10:11Speaker 3: it off. They didn't do anything to it. Zelensky didn't
- 10:14Speaker 3: believe them. But now it turns out that it wasn't
- 10:17Speaker 3: the U.S. or President Trump. We didn't shut it down.
- 10:20Speaker 3: It was just something in the system. It shut itself
- 10:23Speaker 3: down for a couple of days. Here's Marco Rubio. Well,
- 10:26Speaker 3: I don't know what Zelensky said. I'm not sure Zelensky
- 10:27Speaker 3: knows what he's talking about, but it wasn't deliberate. We
- 10:30Speaker 3: had nothing to do with that. The United States, nobody
- 10:32Speaker 3: ordered that Starlink speed to be slowed down. It sort
- 10:36Speaker 3: of happened. Yeah, I mean, you've seen this happen to anything, digital, anything, Internet.
- 10:41Speaker 3: It can all of a sudden slow down and needs
- 10:43Speaker 3: to be fixed, and that was what happened. Uh, Hey,
- 10:47Speaker 3: speaking of, uh, all this stuff, uh, AI, you know,
- 10:51Speaker 3: the AI stocks have been going crazy there, obviously. I mean,
- 10:54Speaker 3: if you bought AI stocks a while back, you're making
- 10:56Speaker 3: a lot of money. Way, way, way up. So why
- 11:01Speaker 3: are they suddenly dropping a little? Uh, cause a lot
- 11:05Speaker 3: of investors have convinced themselves. I don't mean the real investors.
- 11:08Speaker 3: I don't mean the Warren Buffetts. I mean, the, uh,
- 11:11Speaker 3: amateur investors, the, uh, The other investor. They've all convinced
- 11:15Speaker 3: themselves this is a bubble and it's going to burst
- 11:18Speaker 3: and they're going to come crashing down. So a lot
- 11:20Speaker 3: of them are panicking right now. There's panic. They're selling
- 11:24Speaker 3: the AI stocks because they've gone up way too much,
- 11:27Speaker 3: way too far. And they'll give you all these stories
- 11:29Speaker 3: about how the pattern matches the pattern of the dot-com bubble,
- 11:34Speaker 3: of this bubble. It looks like it's a bubble pattern.
- 11:36Speaker 3: They can see it. They can't see anything. So the.
- 11:42Speaker 3: The AI stocks have been dropping. However, all of a
- 11:46Speaker 3: sudden there's big NASDAQ gains because the real investors, the
- 11:50Speaker 3: ones that actually know what they're doing, are buying the dip.
- 11:53Speaker 3: The dip has caused them to come in, and those
- 11:56Speaker 3: are the big investors, big money investors. So that's why
- 12:00Speaker 3: you're seeing this little NASDAQ spike right now. You know,
- 12:02Speaker 3: the Warren Buffetts of the world will always tell you
- 12:06Speaker 3: that when When everybody is in panic, when everybody says
- 12:11Speaker 3: it's crashing, when everybody's fleeing, that's when they buy. That's
- 12:16Speaker 3: the time to buy. When everybody's enthusiastic, don't buy. When
- 12:20Speaker 3: everybody's in panic, everybody's in fear, that's when they buy.
- 12:26Speaker 3: So Bruce Blakeman has caught up to Kathy Hochul in
- 12:29Speaker 3: the polls. He may even be passing her right now.
- 12:32Speaker 3: But don't get complacent. This is a turnout election. You've
- 12:34Speaker 3: got to get out there and vote. Uh, Hochul was
- 12:38Speaker 3: in panic already. That's why she spent millions and millions
- 12:41Speaker 3: on these attack ads. She's using up a lot of
- 12:43Speaker 3: her money. The democratic governor's group had to step in.
- 12:47Speaker 3: They had to lend her money. They've poured in 4 million.
- 12:50Speaker 3: This is how desperate she's getting. Another 4 million from them.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Who is that democratic governor's group? Well, big chunk of
- 12:57Speaker 3: the chunk of the money came from mayor Bloomberg and
- 13:01Speaker 3: then from the New York hospital association management corporation. They
- 13:05Speaker 3: each put in a million dollars. Another $ 600, 000 came from
- 13:10Speaker 3: the Sports Betting Alliance. John Hess, he's the CEO of
- 13:15Speaker 3: Hess Corporation, he put in $ 600, 000. The Super PAC on
- 13:20Speaker 3: Saturday released two different ads slamming Blakeman. Now, what do
- 13:27Speaker 3: you attack Blakeman on? They did tons of opposition research.
- 13:29Speaker 3: They dug into everything about Blakeman. You know what they found?
- 13:32Speaker 5: Nothing.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Nothing. Not a bad, not a damn thing. I mean,
- 13:37Speaker 3: they did some serious opposition research. There is no skeleton
- 13:40Speaker 3: in the Blakeman closet. They could not find anything to
- 13:44Speaker 3: attack him on. So what are the ads? Well, the
- 13:47Speaker 3: first one is about MAGA Bruce Blakeman. He's MAGA. He's MAGA.
- 13:51Speaker 3: He's MAGA. If that's all you got. He is friends
- 13:56Speaker 3: with Donald Trump. He agrees with him on some things.
- 13:58Speaker 3: He disagrees with him on a lot of things. Disagrees
- 14:00Speaker 3: with him on major things. He's pro-choice. Uh, Trump is not.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Trump actually is, but he pretends he's not. There's a
- 14:10Speaker 3: lot of issues he disagrees with him on, but they're
- 14:14Speaker 3: calling him MAGA. The other attack ad, same thing, same thing.
- 14:20Speaker 3: His support of Donald Trump's cost-raising agenda is hurting New York. No,
- 14:25Speaker 3: he's not supporting anything that's raising costs. Blakeman firing back,
- 14:30Speaker 3: calling Hochul a useful tool who takes orders from Mamdani.
- 14:35Speaker 3: I wouldn't call her moderate. She's an extremist. I don't
- 14:37Speaker 3: care what she calls herself, but look at her record.
- 14:40Speaker 3: Highest taxes in the United States.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Extreme.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Utility bills 75% higher than the national average. That's a
- 14:47Speaker 3: good point. You want to associate him with Trump when
- 14:50Speaker 3: you're totally, totally connected to Mamdani in every way. Hey,
- 14:56Speaker 3: we'll take some calls next. 800-321-0710 is the number. We'd
- 15:01Speaker 3: love to hear from you, especially if you're a new caller,
- 15:03Speaker 3: if you've never called before.
- 15:04Speaker 2: 800-321-0710.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Mark Simone, live from the WOR LifeVac studios. Hey, let's
- 15:16Speaker 3: take some calls. Let's go to Josh in Boston. Josh,
- 15:20Speaker 3: how you doing?
- 15:22Speaker 1: Oh, hi, Mark.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Oh, it's the Buchanan guy. You can hear the accent.
- 15:28Speaker 8: No, I'm not.
- 15:31Speaker 3: You're trying to sound New England-ish. That New York accent,
- 15:33Speaker 3: you can't hide that for a second. Let's go to
- 15:36Speaker 3: James in Manhattan. James, how are you doing? Good morning, Mark. Yes, James.
- 15:44Speaker 2: I got a request.
- 15:46Speaker 9: I'm glad that you referred to, I think, Schumer and
- 15:50Speaker 9: Biden as low-lifes. But I'd like for you to stop
- 15:54Speaker 9: using the word crazy and lunatics to describe them all
- 15:56Speaker 9: and use the correct word that I think, and it's evil.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Well, I use that word a lot on them.
- 16:03Speaker 9: Oh, I usually hear you say crazy.
- 16:05Speaker 3: No, you've got some kind of filter. You only hear
- 16:07Speaker 3: half of what I say, but let's go to Peter
- 16:10Speaker 3: in Long Island. Peter, how you doing?
- 16:13Speaker 10: I'm doing well, Mark. Thanks for taking my call. I
- 16:16Speaker 10: asked your screener about the warfare cases against Trump. I
- 16:20Speaker 10: know the ones with Jack Smith have been dropped. But
- 16:24Speaker 10: what's happening with Lateef James and Alvin Bragg?
- 16:27Speaker 3: Oh, that's a good question. Very good question. Thanks for asking.
- 16:30Speaker 3: They've been stalled and delayed by Hochul and the Democrats
- 16:35Speaker 3: because there's actually no conviction. He's not a convicted felon.
- 16:38Speaker 3: He's not convicted of anything because technically, technically, you're not
- 16:43Speaker 3: actually convicted until the judge has done the sentencing. And
- 16:46Speaker 3: that's never happened. All the cases against Trump are ridiculously fabricated.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Our greatest legal scholars, even Democrat Alan Dershowitz has said
- 16:57Speaker 3: he's read the charges a hundred times and he can't
- 17:00Speaker 3: figure out what the hell the crime is. There's nothing there.
- 17:03Speaker 3: They will all be tossed out on appeal. When it
- 17:05Speaker 3: goes to a real court, they'll all be tossed out.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Now you're saying it's two years, two and a half.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Why isn't it going to a real court? Because the
- 17:13Speaker 3: Democrats are holding it up. Normally when you appeal, it
- 17:15Speaker 3: happens within a few months. the most a year, but
- 17:20Speaker 3: they control the judges, they control the court process in
- 17:23Speaker 3: New York, and they've held up the appeals. They will
- 17:25Speaker 3: not let it go to appeal yet, because it will
- 17:28Speaker 3: get tossed out. He should actually make an issue out
- 17:31Speaker 3: of that. He should push that a lot more. Let's
- 17:33Speaker 3: go to Chris in Montreal. Chris, how you doing? I'm okay, thanks, Mark.
- 17:38Speaker 3: How you doing?
- 17:39Speaker 2: Good.
- 17:39Speaker 3: The weekend? The weekend? It's still on. It's not over.
- 17:43Speaker 3: The weekend ends on Wednesday.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Okay. Okay.
- 17:47Speaker 5: Listen, on Ukraine and stuff, I'm totally embarrassed by Trump.
- 17:51Speaker 3: I mean, even if he's not.
- 17:52Speaker 5: In Putin's pocket, what he does makes it look like
- 17:56Speaker 5: he is.
- 17:56Speaker 2: It's very hard to defend.
- 17:57Speaker 3: You've got to remember, you're a panic and you always,
- 18:01Speaker 3: everything bothers you. There's nobody, no voter, no normal American
- 18:06Speaker 3: cares about this. This is like an MS Now issue.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Nobody actually cares about this.
- 18:11Speaker 5: The oil depots that Zelensky's been hitting are legitimate military targets.
- 18:15Speaker 5: It's hurting them.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. But right now we don't... If they.
- 18:20Speaker 5: Stop doing it and then turn around and buy oil
- 18:22Speaker 5: from Russia, us, it looks like Trump's in Putin's pocket.
- 18:28Speaker 3: No, it doesn't. Only to an MSNBC viewer.
- 18:32Speaker 5: I'm not watching MSNBC.
- 18:34Speaker 3: But you're always a panic and you're a great reverse
- 18:36Speaker 3: barometer of everything because whatever you predict never happens. I...
- 18:41Speaker 3: The only reason he's doing this with Putin, he'd like
- 18:44Speaker 3: to get the price of diesel down. It's the funniest
- 18:46Speaker 3: thing in the world. Democrats yelling and screaming and screaming,
- 18:49Speaker 3: get the price of diesel down. The price of diesel
- 18:52Speaker 3: is the most important thing. Well, Zelensky blowing up diesel
- 18:55Speaker 3: refineries is driving the price up. So he asked him
- 18:58Speaker 3: to stop for a couple of weeks. Zelensky wouldn't listen.
- 19:02Speaker 3: This Trump is in Putin's pocket. How long is that
- 19:06Speaker 3: now they've been doing that? Ten years.
- 19:07Speaker 8: Ten years.
- 19:11Speaker 3: There's nobody that hates Putin more than Trump, and there's
- 19:13Speaker 3: nobody that hates Trump more than Putin. They are not
- 19:17Speaker 3: in anybody's pocket. Let's go to Joe in Lincoln Park. Joe,
- 19:21Speaker 3: how are you doing?
- 19:23Speaker 2: I'm so glad you're on for three hours. It gives
- 19:25Speaker 2: me three hours of common sense and peace and hearing
- 19:29Speaker 2: the facts. Hey, I'm a registered voter. I'm out of
- 19:32Speaker 2: the country. I called Morristown for an absentee ballot. They
- 19:38Speaker 2: check me out. I'm a registered voter. They send me
- 19:40Speaker 2: an application. I fill out the application. They send me
- 19:43Speaker 2: back the absentee ballot. Where are these absentee ballots coming from?
- 19:48Speaker 2: If you're not a registered voter, you can't get an
- 19:50Speaker 2: absentee ballot. Help me on this.
- 19:52Speaker 3: You want me to help you? I don't know. It's
- 19:54Speaker 3: New Jersey. You're crazy over there in New Jersey as
- 19:57Speaker 3: far as your government.
- 19:58Speaker 2: No, I'm in the red side of New Jersey.
- 20:01Speaker 3: No, I know, but it's New Jersey. It's New Jersey government.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Just go in person and vote. If you can't get
- 20:09Speaker 3: the absentee ballot, just show up somewhere and get it.
- 20:12Speaker 3: I wouldn't trust New Jersey and their absentee ballots anywhere. Hey,
- 20:17Speaker 3: that guy said peaceful, right? That's one thing about this show.
- 20:20Speaker 3: I don't know if it's common sense. We try to be,
- 20:21Speaker 3: but it's a peaceful show. No yelling, no screaming. You
- 20:26Speaker 3: know how you listen to, I've been listening to some hosts.
- 20:28Speaker 3: They're usually newcomers. They're not really radio hosts. They're trying to,
- 20:32Speaker 3: all of a sudden somebody puts them on the radio.
- 20:34Speaker 3: They're always yelling. They think you got to yell to
- 20:36Speaker 3: make your point. You know, when they try to talk
- 20:39Speaker 3: to you like this, and they're always, as Churchill said,
- 20:43Speaker 3: people scream when they got nothing to say. You can
- 20:46Speaker 3: talk normally. It's radio. You don't yell on the radio.
- 20:50Speaker 3: It's not like TV where, you know, when the viewer's
- 20:53Speaker 3: watching television, he's across the room. He's 15 feet away
- 20:57Speaker 3: on the couch. When they're listening to the radio, it's
- 21:01Speaker 3: right in their ear. Or it's in the car and
- 21:04Speaker 3: the speaker is like a foot and a half from them.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Don't yell at them on the radio. Let's go to
- 21:10Speaker 3: Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how are you doing?
- 21:12Speaker 1: Good morning, Mark. Mark, I'm okay. As you well know,
- 21:15Speaker 1: being in show business, sometimes optics and the perception matter
- 21:21Speaker 1: and mean more than the actual reality. What the gentleman
- 21:26Speaker 1: two calls ago said about Trump here and there making
- 21:31Speaker 1: complimentary statements about Putin. Putin's a degenerate. People that I
- 21:36Speaker 1: don't like and that I have to do business with,
- 21:39Speaker 1: I don't make complimentary statements.
- 21:42Speaker 3: That's a different kind of business. This is politics.
- 21:45Speaker 1: I know it's politics.
- 21:46Speaker 3: It actually works. It worked on the nut job in
- 21:49Speaker 3: North Korea, Kim Jong-un.
- 21:51Speaker 2: All right.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Trump didn't want to sell Zelensky to Tomahawk Missiles because
- 21:57Speaker 1: they had a greater range that could have reached right
- 22:01Speaker 1: into Moscow. They had a 1,500-mile range. Putin, Zelensky made
- 22:07Speaker 1: his own, which have a bigger payload, cost one half
- 22:12Speaker 1: the amount. There's no perception problem there. I don't see
- 22:17Speaker 1: why Zelensky should put a bomb right in Red Square.
- 22:23Speaker 3: I know, but you've got to remember, Trump right now,
- 22:26Speaker 3: he doesn't want the oil refineries blown up because it'll
- 22:28Speaker 3: drive the pressure.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Well, Zelensky, if you're listening, blow all of them up.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, of course Zelensky wants to, but it's like,
- 22:36Speaker 3: let me put it in terms you can maybe relate to.
- 22:39Speaker 3: When Michael Corleone said about Hyman Roth, Don't go after him.
- 22:43Speaker 3: I have business with Hyman Ross. Leave him alone right now.
- 22:46Speaker 1: It's that kind of thing. Yeah, and then a couple
- 22:48Speaker 1: episodes later, the guy shot him in the airport when
- 22:52Speaker 1: he was trying to come back after Israel trumatted the country.
- 22:57Speaker 3: Very good point. Excellent point. Vincent, thanks for calling. We'll
- 23:01Speaker 3: get all the latest news, because when we come back,
- 23:03Speaker 3: we've got the greatest columnist in the world. Michael Goodwin
- 23:06Speaker 3: will be with us next on 710WOR.
- 23:10Speaker 4: Now nine till noon weekday smart simone only on 710 wor.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Well let's turn now to the greatest columnist in america
- 23:21Speaker 3: michael goodwin his columns every sunday and every wednesday in
- 23:25Speaker 3: the new york post and you can get all his
- 23:28Speaker 3: columns they're all up on the new york post website
- 23:30Speaker 3: michael goodwin how you doing good morning mark thank you
- 23:34Speaker 3: hey a great column yesterday now explain this to me
- 23:36Speaker 3: the Democratic socialists are at war with Mamdani because he's
- 23:41Speaker 3: not radical enough for them? Is that the case?
- 23:45Speaker 7: Yes. I mean, it's amazing, isn't it, that he is
- 23:49Speaker 7: very radical, the most radical mayor in New York history.
- 23:54Speaker 7: And yet, for many of his fellow travelers, he's given in, right?
- 24:00Speaker 7: He's changed his stripes. He's compromised too much, particularly on
- 24:05Speaker 7: the police side. and keeping Jessica Tish as commissioner. And
- 24:11Speaker 7: he's now also accused of being a sellout to the Palestinians.
- 24:17Speaker 7: I mean, this is crazy talk. But I think these
- 24:21Speaker 7: are the sorts of people who are burning down Paris.
- 24:25Speaker 7: So we're lucky we're only getting a fight so far.
- 24:28Speaker 7: But this is the danger of this new left radicalism.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Yeah, the fires, the rioting, the destruction of Paris, of
- 24:36Speaker 3: much of France. What do you think? That'll have some
- 24:39Speaker 3: effect on the midterms. People might realize you don't want
- 24:41Speaker 3: these left-wing crazies in power.
- 24:44Speaker 8: I think it could and it should.
- 24:47Speaker 7: I think people should wake up and look at what
- 24:51Speaker 7: these leftists are really about. They're not really about building
- 24:55Speaker 7: a socialist state so much as they are about tearing
- 25:00Speaker 7: down the nation that exists now. So if you like
- 25:05Speaker 7: your health care, right, you can keep it.
- 25:08Speaker 8: That was a big lie.
- 25:10Speaker 7: Well, it's a big lie now, too, that they would
- 25:14Speaker 7: change everything to give the government more power. That's what
- 25:19Speaker 7: the left believes in. It trusts only the power of
- 25:23Speaker 7: the state, not individual liberty. not private power of any kind,
- 25:29Speaker 7: not corporate power, only government power. Now, I think most
- 25:35Speaker 7: Americans are repelled by that idea, yet enough of them
- 25:40Speaker 7: are being hoodwinked that this leftist movement has.
- 25:45Speaker 8: To be taken seriously.
- 25:46Speaker 7: I mean, Mamdani's election is the clearest example, but many
- 25:52Speaker 7: of the Democrats running in this midterm election are also far, far,
- 25:59Speaker 7: far off the deep end.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Yeah. This whole war on Mamdani, I guess they want
- 26:05Speaker 3: him to get rid of Jessica Tisch. I mean, she's
- 26:08Speaker 3: been a pretty fine police commissioner. Is this just anti-Semitism?
- 26:12Speaker 3: Is that why they want to get.
- 26:14Speaker 9: Rid of her?
- 26:15Speaker 7: I think that's a part of it, Mark. Obviously, she's Jewish.
- 26:20Speaker 7: She often wears a Jewish star and a necklace. and
- 26:25Speaker 7: she's made no bones about it. And yet, she has
- 26:31Speaker 7: not been commissioner in a way that favors any group
- 26:35Speaker 7: over another. She has been very even-handed, and she has
- 26:39Speaker 7: been fundamentally sound in using the tactics and the knowledge
- 26:46Speaker 7: developed over years of intelligence gathering under the leadership Giuliani years, right?
- 26:55Speaker 7: And then the Bloomberg years. So her real supporters were
- 27:01Speaker 7: Ray Kelly and Bill Bratton.
- 27:04Speaker 8: Now, that's quite a lineage.
- 27:06Speaker 7: And she is the inheritor of their police leadership.
- 27:11Speaker 8: So she is doing a fine, fine job.
- 27:15Speaker 7: And I think Mamdani would be crazy to fire her
- 27:18Speaker 7: just to give a scalp to the far-left maniacs.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Yeah. Hey, let's talk about Israel. Netanyahu, the election is
- 27:27Speaker 3: next week. It's a week from tomorrow. President Trump came
- 27:30Speaker 3: out with a big endorsement for him. And what do
- 27:33Speaker 3: you think? What do you think will happen in Israel?
- 27:36Speaker 7: You know, I've talked to a lot of people who
- 27:38Speaker 7: know more about this than I do, and nobody seems
- 27:41Speaker 7: to know. Nobody has a firm grasp about which way
- 27:46Speaker 7: it's going. I have some friends who are going back
- 27:48Speaker 7: to vote. Most Americans, I think, who are Israeli citizens
- 27:56Speaker 7: as well, dual citizens, do not like Netanyahu, from my experience.
- 28:03Speaker 7: But there's nobody on the scene who can rival him.
- 28:07Speaker 8: So, for example, there.
- 28:10Speaker 7: Are 10 Muslim Arab seats in the Knesset out of 120.
- 28:15Speaker 8: And the leader of the two parties, each.
- 28:20Speaker 7: With five seats, and they have offered, they will give
- 28:25Speaker 7: their 10 votes to any candidate who promises to create
- 28:31Speaker 7: a Palestinian state. And none of the major candidates have
- 28:37Speaker 7: accepted the offer. They know that's a very unpopular position
- 28:43Speaker 7: in Israel. that the creation of a Palestinian state, I mean, where?
- 28:49Speaker 8: Who's going to protect? What are the rules?
- 28:52Speaker 7: So they find no takers. So that's the kind of
- 28:56Speaker 7: thing that suggests Netanyahu still has the largest base of
- 29:01Speaker 7: the three main candidates. Yeah.
- 29:05Speaker 3: A great number of people in the U.S. have Israeli citizenship.
- 29:08Speaker 3: They're asking them to fly back to Israel just to vote.
- 29:12Speaker 3: But you're right. A lot of them are flying back
- 29:14Speaker 3: to vote against Netanyahu. And what is the argument against Netanyahu?
- 29:18Speaker 3: Is it just Netanyahu derangement syndrome?
- 29:22Speaker 7: Well, I mean, I think to a certain extent, Mark,
- 29:26Speaker 7: some of it is just exhaustion, fatigue.
- 29:29Speaker 8: I mean, he's been around forever.
- 29:32Speaker 7: He's been the prime minister, the longest serving prime minister,
- 29:35Speaker 7: not continuously, but he's like the rubber bandwagon. you know,
- 29:40Speaker 7: you squeeze it and it just comes back. That's what
- 29:44Speaker 7: his career has been. And people, October 7th, of course,
- 29:50Speaker 7: he explained for not being more aware of what was coming.
- 29:55Speaker 7: And then there is the whole issue of the West
- 29:57Speaker 7: Bank of what's going on. the fact that he won't
- 30:01Speaker 7: really curb that because his majority depends on some of
- 30:07Speaker 7: those kingmakers in his party. So I think that he
- 30:12Speaker 7: has been far from a perfect prime minister, but it's
- 30:15Speaker 7: a democracy.
- 30:16Speaker 8: The only democracy in the Mideast.
- 30:19Speaker 7: And so if he wins, it will be because he
- 30:23Speaker 7: is the choice of the free voters.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Well, you're right. You know, as a, Ed Koch will
- 30:30Speaker 3: tell you, or George Pataki will tell you, once you
- 30:33Speaker 3: get into the third or fourth term, a lot of
- 30:35Speaker 3: people start turning on you.
- 30:37Speaker 8: Sure.
- 30:38Speaker 3: It looks like Netanyahu now believes in a one-state solution.
- 30:41Speaker 3: He may be right. We tried that two-state solution, and
- 30:44Speaker 3: look how that ended up.
- 30:46Speaker 5: Right.
- 30:47Speaker 3: What do you think?
- 30:48Speaker 1: Yes.
- 30:49Speaker 7: Well, I mean, that's sort of the theme of a
- 30:53Speaker 7: book by David Friedman, who was the American ambassador during
- 30:58Speaker 7: Trump's first term. And He believes that the West Bank
- 31:03Speaker 7: and whatnot should be treated in the same way that
- 31:06Speaker 7: America treats Puerto Rico, for example. The Puerto Ricans can
- 31:11Speaker 7: vote in local elections, but they cannot vote in the
- 31:15Speaker 7: national election. He believes that is a model for how
- 31:21Speaker 7: Israel should handle the West Bank. It should annex it,
- 31:25Speaker 7: but then keep it somehow as a protectorate. rather than
- 31:29Speaker 7: a full-fledged citizenship in the complete way.
- 31:36Speaker 8: So it's an interesting argument.
- 31:38Speaker 7: And there are no other good arguments on the table.
- 31:42Speaker 8: So I'm not sure where this ends up.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Well, Michael Goodwin, great column yesterday. Everybody can go read
- 31:48Speaker 3: if you missed it. It's up on the New York

- 32:52Speaker 3: not allowed to read all the breakdowns uh that's uh proprietary, uh,
- 32:57Speaker 3: you gotta be a Nielsen subscriber. Let's just say we, uh,
- 33:00Speaker 3: crushed the competition nine to 10 in the demo. That's
- 33:04Speaker 3: the most important thing. Crush the competition, uh, 6 AM
- 33:08Speaker 3: until noon. W O R way up doing very well,
- 33:13Speaker 3: beating the competition in, uh, again, the demos. That's what
- 33:16Speaker 3: you want to win. It's, uh, uh, you know, 25, 54.
- 33:20Speaker 3: They have these certain demos, men, 35, 64. That's where
- 33:23Speaker 3: you want to win. That's where all the, uh, advertising
- 33:26Speaker 3: dollars are, but we did incredibly well. It's going to
- 33:31Speaker 3: be definitely autumn all week. It's cold today, although it's
- 33:35Speaker 3: going to go up to about 60, maybe 63 today,
- 33:39Speaker 3: 65 tomorrow. Mid-60s all week, and then yeah, next week too,
- 33:46Speaker 3: although it'll be a little cooler. Another cold weekend, but dry.
- 33:50Speaker 3: This is the first Sunday. Yesterday was the first Sunday
- 33:53Speaker 3: without rain in like four weeks, so That's pretty good. Hey,
