Transcript
- 0:00This is a slight departure from the Bible studies, but it does
- 0:06relate to the material that was covered recently.
- 0:09We were reading in the book of Ezekiel about the restoration of
- 0:14Israel. And as I was doing that, I
- 0:18searched the Bible for additional books that reference
- 0:23this. And there during this
- 0:26restoration of Israel, it is the at that period called the
- 0:32Millennium. And I believe the next chapter
- 0:35that we read in Ezekiel, the new temple, the third temple that is
- 0:40going to be built or I don't know if it gets built before the
- 0:44Millennium begins or if it is built during the Millennium, but
- 0:51it will be standing during the Millennium.
- 0:54And I will point that out as we read through that scripture.
- 0:58Anyway, this Millennium period, I was actually talking with
- 1:02someone yesterday about the Millennium, just like what I
- 1:07read about it, because it's a very interesting time.
- 1:09So the Millennium period is when Jesus returns and he returns to
- 1:15earth and he's here on earth for 1000 years and he reigns as king
- 1:24from Jerusalem. And there's a reference in the
- 1:28Book of Revelation that people who are beheaded as a result,
- 1:34this is prior to Jesus returning, people who are
- 1:37beheaded because of their faith, because they will not deny him,
- 1:41which has already happened in our world.
- 1:44But those people, when Jesus returns, they will be
- 1:47resurrected and will rule with Jesus from Jerusalem.
- 1:56And this is just this matches up with the what we learn about God
- 2:01and we learn from Jesus that Jesus often takes the lowly, the
- 2:07unexpected people and does something very special with
- 2:11them. He he has this like inverted
- 2:17value that our world has, like our world values, not maybe not
- 2:23values, but he sees people differently.
- 2:26Like in our world, people strive for their own selfish purposes
- 2:32of power, of wealth, of all of these things.
- 2:35But that causes pride and self-reliance and God doesn't
- 2:41like that. It says in Scripture that pride
- 2:44comes before the fall. So God will discipline his
- 2:49children if they become pride. If we become powerful, He will
- 2:54knock us down and get us straightened out because pride
- 2:59is what happened. If you go back, this is going to
- 3:02be a little stretch for some people, but in Scripture you
- 3:06will see that that's what it's referenced about Lucifer, he had
- 3:11pride. Satan, he had pride.
- 3:14He wanted to be God. He wasn't satisfied with all of
- 3:17the splendor that God gave him when God created him.
- 3:22And so he wanted to be equal to God.
- 3:28But there is no equal. There is only one God, so he
- 3:32rebelled against that. And that's the spiritual battle
- 3:36that we're in on the earth. But not to get too far into
- 3:38that, because I want to talk about the Millennium period and
- 3:41these, this understanding that came to me last night in the
- 3:46middle of the night. And I don't know, like I'm, I'm
- 3:49going to give you what I found in Scripture, but it was really
- 3:51weird. I woke up in the middle of the
- 3:53night and all of a sudden this thought came to my mind.
- 3:57Now I'm just telling you that's what it was.
- 4:00It was just a thought that came to my mind.
- 4:02Where the thought came from, don't know.
- 4:05I mean, it was my thought, but could it be something that
- 4:09sometimes God does speak in the night and there's scripture that
- 4:14backs that up? I didn't search that before I
- 4:17made this podcast, so I'd have to find it.
- 4:18But He does speak to people in the night.
- 4:22But we have to be careful about that too.
- 4:26And I will again, just read the scripture.
- 4:29You can draw your own conclusion and pray about it too.
- 4:33Do not take my word for it, but I thought this was very
- 4:38encouraging for people, especially people who are
- 4:42committed to getting to know God better and who are reading their
- 4:47Bible everyday and are truly seeking God.
- 4:52I remember when I started out reading the Bible I didn't have
- 4:57the same feeling towards it as I do now.
- 5:00Now I, I look with excitement almost about like, what am I
- 5:05going to discover today? And not every, I don't discover
- 5:08something new that's in the text every day, but sometimes I do.
- 5:15And when I do, it's just like, you know, it's like that light
- 5:18bulb goes on and you're like, wow, I didn't, I didn't
- 5:20understand this before and now I understand it.
- 5:23It's, you know, Jesus even says, you know, heaven is like a
- 5:26treasure that somebody finds. And that's like the word of God.
- 5:30It, it's expressing, it's, it's telling us about, about God's
- 5:34Kingdom. And it is like a treasure chest.
- 5:38And when you open up the Bible and you start reading, you know,
- 5:42the Bible is the living word of God.
- 5:44And so God is communicating with those who read it.
- 5:48In fact, the entire Book of Revelation tells us that those
- 5:52who read it will be blessed. That is the one book of the
- 5:56Bible that says that if you read it, you will be blessed.
- 5:59So there is something supernatural about the words and
- 6:05about the Bible. I mean, it just defies every
- 6:08kind of coincidence there is. I mean, there is just the
- 6:15probabilities of some of the things that come out in the
- 6:18Bible when you study it. It's just like an unheard of
- 6:23probability, like there's just no way that could happen, or it
- 6:26is so rare that that could happen, but it happens
- 6:30repeatedly in the Bible. Like the Bible is so amazing.
- 6:33Anyway, I'm going to get into what I heard last night 'cause
- 6:36I'm rambling, but OK. So during the Millennium,
- 6:41there's going to be mortal and immortal people.
- 6:45There will be those who when Jesus just to explain that when
- 6:50Jesus returns, those who are living, who are in Christ, who
- 6:55have the Holy Spirit will be changed in an instant into
- 7:01incorruptible bodies. That's what Paul tells us.
- 7:05And so at that time and also before that even happens, the
- 7:10dead in Christ will rise and will be given their immortal
- 7:15bodies. So there's there's still human
- 7:19beings on earth who haven't surrendered to God, who haven't
- 7:26accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, who don't have the Holy
- 7:31Spirit yet. And they're still on earth.
- 7:34So they're going to see this happening.
- 7:36They're going to see this change, this thing happening in
- 7:40the world. And that's when it says like in
- 7:42the, I think it's in Revelation 6, where it says when they see
- 7:47the Son of Man coming on the clouds, then they cry on the
- 7:51rocks and the earth and say fall on us and cover us from the
- 7:54wrath of him who sits on the throne and from the Lamb.
- 7:59Because that is, those are symbolic references to the
- 8:03Father and the Son. And that's the wrath that's
- 8:05coming when Jesus returns because he's separating good
- 8:09from evil and God is a God of justice.
- 8:12So that has to happen. Anyway, this period of the
- 8:17Millennium, Jesus is going to be reigning as king, but it sounds
- 8:23like he's going to have other people who are responsible for
- 8:28certain areas that are ruling. I mean, I mentioned that about
- 8:31those who are beheaded. Like I said, that was in the
- 8:34Book of Revelation and I didn't look up to give you the
- 8:36reference of where it is, but it's when it talks about the
- 8:401000 years of Christ. And I'll find that, I guess, and
- 8:45just tell you where you can find it in the Bible, because I
- 8:47always want to support everything I say with with the
- 8:52Bible. I so I have to search 1000 years
- 9:01and see. Oh, I don't know.
- 9:04OK, that didn't come up because it just said like second Peter.
- 9:06So will I guess will reign. I'm going to look that up
- 9:12because I think that's how I can find that verse.
- 9:17Just a moment. Sorry I didn't have this.
- 9:21Well Revelation 510, I don't know if this is where I was
- 9:25actually thinking of, but it says that you have made them to
- 9:30be a Kingdom and priest to serve our God and they will reign on
- 9:35earth. That wasn't the actual verse
- 9:38that I was thinking of, but this is talking about the people that
- 9:43God has purchased. Well here it says that these are
- 9:48the angels singing and they sang a new song saying you are worthy
- 9:53to take the scroll and to open its seals because you were
- 9:57slain. This is about Jesus.
- 9:59And with your blood you purchased for God persons from
- 10:04every tribe and language and people and nation.
- 10:08You have made them to be a Kingdom and priest to serve our
- 10:14God and they will reign on the earth.
- 10:18So these are people who are reigning with Christ and they
- 10:25when he returns And the the place that I was, I'm scrolling
- 10:30through right now to find the chapter that I was talking about
- 10:36the thousand years of Christ. I don't have every chapter
- 10:40memorized in the Bible and it does kind of go through a
- 10:45description. It kind of it isn't all of it's
- 10:48not sequential. Some of it's more detail about a
- 10:52certain aspect. So anyway, it's Revelation 20 is
- 10:56where it is. Now here is the part that I'm
- 10:59going to refer to in Revelation 20, verse 4.
- 11:03It says I saw Thrones on which were seated those who had been
- 11:09given authority to judge, and I saw the souls of those who had
- 11:14been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and
- 11:20because of the word of God. They had not worshipped the
- 11:25beast or its image and had not received its mark on their
- 11:32foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned
- 11:39with Christ 1000 years. The rest of the dead did not
- 11:44come to life until the thousand years were ended.
- 11:48This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who
- 11:53share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power
- 11:58over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and
- 12:04will reign with him for 1000 years.
- 12:09So this is talking about loyal people to God who have placed
- 12:14Jesus as their their Lord and their Savior.
- 12:17And they don't deny him. And they may have, I mean, it
- 12:20says they were beheaded. So these are the, I don't know
- 12:25if it's exclusively the ones who have, who are beheaded that
- 12:30actually become heads, which, you know, heads of areas.
- 12:34I mean, this is just the way God takes bad and turns it to good.
- 12:38And this is an eternity. Like these people will be, well,
- 12:42at least for the 1000 years, they will be reigning with
- 12:45Christ. So they're going to like Christ
- 12:48is still ahead. God is very orderly, and then He
- 12:52will have leaders under him that are going to reign with him.
- 12:58So that's the scenario that I'm referring to about the
- 13:04Millennium period, this period of time where Christ is
- 13:07reigning. So going back to the Old
- 13:10Testament, it talks about this in Isaiah and it it's very, it's
- 13:18about the restoration of Israel. And I think it might be helpful
- 13:21if I just read what it what it says here and I'll add a little
- 13:26bit of commentary. But if you want to follow along,
- 13:29it's Isaiah chapter 49. And I'm going to start with
- 13:33verse 8. This is what the Lord says, In
- 13:37the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of
- 13:42salvation I will help you. I will keep you and will make
- 13:49you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and
- 13:55to reassign its desolate inheritances, to say to the
- 14:02captives, come out and those in darkness be free.
- 14:08They will feed beside the roads and find pasture on every barren
- 14:13hill. So this is when Jesus returns,
- 14:17and this is like the day of the Lord when God begins to restore
- 14:23Israel. This is probably when the wrath
- 14:27has already occurred. And then God is in the
- 14:31restoration. That's what he was talking
- 14:33about, to reassign its desolate inheritance.
- 14:37The inheritance was is the land of Israel that God spoke about.
- 14:44Oh, gosh, I don't know. Back in Genesis, I think where
- 14:47he gave the parameters of the land, that's supposed to be
- 14:52Israel right now, today, believe it or not, Israel is smaller
- 14:57than those parameters. Israel is supposed to be bigger,
- 15:01not a whole lot bigger, but a little bit bigger than what it
- 15:04is today. And that's what God promised to
- 15:08the Israelites. And God is a God of his word.
- 15:11He's not going to go back on it. So when when Jesus returns, he's
- 15:15going to do something that the Israelites never accomplished
- 15:21because they were not obedient to him.
- 15:23God would say, go wipe out these evil people who are in this land
- 15:27and take it over. But they always did a little bit
- 15:30of it, but not the full thing. And then they had consequences
- 15:34from it because those people then turned against them and
- 15:37history just repeated over and over again.
- 15:39And it's still repeating. Israel still has its neighbors
- 15:43coming against them and battling them for the land.
- 15:47This is an ancient reoccurrence of history.
- 15:52And it's all because when God first told them, wipe out these
- 15:58evil ones who were present in the land, and Israel didn't do
- 16:01it completely. So when Jesus comes back, he's
- 16:06going to make the country of Israel bigger than what it is
- 16:11today. Going to Isaiah 49 verse 10
- 16:15talking about the Israelites, they will neither hunger nor
- 16:18thirst, nor will the desert heat or the sun beat down on them.
- 16:22He who has compassion on them will guide them and lead them
- 16:26behind beside springs of water. I want to pause there because
- 16:33that's the Good Shepherd. It's in the Psalms and I didn't
- 16:37look that up. But the Good Shepherd leads me
- 16:41besides water, the calm waters, and lets me rest.
- 16:46I don't. I'm paraphrasing what it says,
- 16:48but that's referring to Jesus. Jesus is known as the Good
- 16:52Shepherd, and the sheep that follow him, he will give them
- 16:56rest. So this is he who has
- 16:59compassion, that's Jesus. He who has compassion on them
- 17:03will guide them like a Good Shepherd and lead them beside
- 17:07springs of water. This is, you know, God the Lord.
- 17:11Saying this, I will turn all my mountains into roads and my
- 17:14highways will be raised up. See, they will come from afar,
- 17:20some from the north, some from the West, some from the region
- 17:25of Aswan. And it says Dead Sea Scrolls,
- 17:30Masoretic Text is cinem. I didn't look up where that
- 17:35region is, but it's from someplace.
- 17:39I don't know that that's important to the context of what
- 17:43I'm trying to talk about right now.
- 17:44But there's going to be people that are going to come to
- 17:47Israel, like he said, from the north, from the West, and from
- 17:52this other region that I need to look up.
- 17:55So from three different directions, they're going to be
- 17:58coming. And then it says, shout for joy,
- 18:03you heavens, rejoice, you earth burst into song, you mountains.
- 18:10For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his
- 18:15afflicted ones. But Zion said that's another
- 18:19word for the city of Jerusalem. The Lord has forsaken me.
- 18:25The Lord has forgotten me. Now here's what so the
- 18:29Israelites are at this point because they've they've been
- 18:32attacked from their enemies. They think God has forgotten
- 18:36them. And then the Lord says in verse
- 18:3915, can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no
- 18:42compassion on the child she has born, though she may forget.
- 18:47I will not forget. You see, we're talking about
- 18:50God. We're talking about God doesn't
- 18:53forget his people. He remembers Israel.
- 18:55He remembers His promise. Verse 16 See, I have engraved
- 19:01you on the palms of my hands. Your walls are ever before me.
- 19:07God's always seeing what Israel is doing and what everyone else
- 19:11is doing. Verse 17 Your children hasten
- 19:16back, and those who laid waste depart from you.
- 19:22So when he talks about the children, this is when I also
- 19:25think that you know Jesus. And actually, when he was
- 19:30writing into Jerusalem, before he was put on the cross, He was
- 19:34saying Jerusalem, Jerusalem, oh, how I would love to gather you
- 19:38like chicks, but you would not have it.
- 19:41Like there is this gathering in Israel that Jesus brings about.
- 19:46And yes, there have been a lot of people, a lot of Jewish
- 19:49people from other areas making Aaliyah to Israel and coming
- 19:54back to Israel. But I don't think the full
- 19:58fulfillment of Bible prophecy has happened yet.
- 20:01I think that actual fulfillment is going to be when Jesus
- 20:05returns. Then all the people are, all the
- 20:08Israelites are going to come back to their land.
- 20:13But here's something else that is, again, this is my
- 20:17speculation, my understanding. So you can pray about this, but
- 20:23Paul says that when he talks about the olive tree, that is
- 20:28representative of Israel and he talks about grafting in
- 20:36Gentiles. So the olive tree, it has, it
- 20:42has roots and it started with the Jewish people and branches
- 20:47were broken off because of disobedience, because they
- 20:50didn't follow the law. They rejected God, they turned
- 20:53away from God. There was idolatry.
- 20:55And so those branches were broken off.
- 20:58But then God went to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous.
- 21:05That's what it does say in Scripture.
- 21:07And he grafted the Gentiles into the tree.
- 21:11So now the Gentiles who are not Jewish by DNA are grafted into
- 21:19the tree that represents Israel. So Israel is made-up of Jewish
- 21:26and non Jewish people, believers, people that have the
- 21:30Holy Spirit. They are grafted in and then
- 21:32another point in scripture, and I can't remember where this is,
- 21:35but God says that are, you know, I guess Paul says about God.
- 21:42If God broke off tree, you know, branches that weren't fruitful
- 21:47and then grafted in the Gentiles, essentially, how much
- 21:53more will he take the natural branch and grafted back in?
- 21:58Like if God was merciful to the Gentiles, who you know, weren't
- 22:03the chosen ones to have the inheritance, but God had mercy
- 22:09and allowed us. Like I'm not, I don't know, I
- 22:12don't believe I'm Jewish at all, but brought us into this tree.
- 22:19And if we think God had mercy on us and God is giving us this
- 22:24inheritance which we don't even deserve, it's a gift, how much
- 22:29more so will he do that to the people that he actually chose,
- 22:33the people of Israel, the Jewish people, if he broke that off
- 22:38that branch because it was unfruitful, because they turned
- 22:41away from him. But then if they repent and turn
- 22:45to him, he grafts them back in like God is.
- 22:49God is so loving, forgiving and merciful, he's going to put
- 22:53those people back into the tree which represents Israel.
- 22:58So ultimately the Kingdom of God, Israel is going to be
- 23:02made-up of Jews and non Jews. And it's those who are
- 23:06believers, those who are guided by God, those who have the Holy
- 23:12Spirit. So OK, now I'm going to read
- 23:17from verse 18. So this is where I'm coming up
- 23:21with what Paul was saying. This is this made me think about
- 23:24what I just explained about what Paul says about these branches
- 23:27being grafted into the tree. So in verse 18, it says this is
- 23:33talking to Israel and the Lord saying this, lift up your eyes
- 23:37and look around. All your children gather and
- 23:41come to you as surely as I live, declares the Lord.
- 23:46You will wear them all as ornaments.
- 23:50You will put them on like a bride.
- 23:54Now Jerusalem is always, not always, but is referred to as
- 23:59the bride of Christ. This is where everything is
- 24:02going to happen. This is like when Christ
- 24:05returns, that's going to be the the OR the union, I guess, of
- 24:11the bride in, in Christ. And so the natural Jewish people
- 24:19are going to look around and they're going to see like
- 24:22probably other Jewish people who become believers, but they're
- 24:25also going to see some Gentiles. I think this is my opinion.
- 24:29I think this is also referring to the Gentiles who get grafted
- 24:32in and he's they're going to he's saying look at, look
- 24:36around. You will wear them all as
- 24:38ornaments, like they will be like a beautiful addition to
- 24:45Jerusalem. These ornaments, these non
- 24:49Jewish people, Gentiles are going to be like ornaments.
- 24:52They're going to be, you know, a blood, I don't know, something
- 24:55good that's added to the beauty that is will be found in
- 24:59Jerusalem. Verse 19.
- 25:02It says though you were ruined and made desolate and your land
- 25:06laid waste. Now you will be too small for
- 25:10your people and those who devoured you will be far away.
- 25:15So there's going to be a lot of people in Israel because of this
- 25:18grafting in there are a lot more people than just the original
- 25:24natural born Jewish people. Now here's what it says verse
- 25:2920. The children born during your
- 25:32bereavement will yet say in your hearing, this place is too small
- 25:37for us. Give us more space to live in.
- 25:41Now I think we're going to get into some of this when we start
- 25:43talking about the temple that's being built and then the land,
- 25:47how it gets divided because it says like there are basically
- 25:52non Jewish people who are in there and wherever they land, I
- 25:56I believe it says that they are supposed to have an inheritance
- 25:59of the land wherever they settle.
- 26:01So there is this like gathering of people and it's I, you know,
- 26:06it, it needs to be larger and and so the children born during
- 26:13your bereavement. So this is the time that Israel
- 26:18was turned away from God. They didn't accept Jesus as
- 26:23Savior and and and then during that time there were children
- 26:30born that they didn't realize those children who were born.
- 26:33This is again my understanding those children who were born are
- 26:37the non Jewish people and also children of the Lord through the
- 26:45Holy Spirit like we are grafted in.
- 26:50Then you will say, verse 21 says, then you will say, this is
- 26:53Israel in your heart. Who bore me these?
- 26:56I was bereaved and barren. I was exiled and rejected.
- 27:01Who brought these up? I was left all alone.
- 27:05But these, where have they come from?
- 27:08It's kind of like all of a sudden they see these Gentiles
- 27:11who are in their land. That's what I think.
- 27:14And, you know, perhaps some other Jewish people who become
- 27:18believers too. And and they're like, how?
- 27:21Where did all these people come from?
- 27:22It reminds me of the Book of Revelation where they see these
- 27:26people in white robes. And John asks, who are all of
- 27:31these? And the response is, those are
- 27:34they who came out of the tribulation and made their
- 27:38garments clean. What that means symbolically,
- 27:42making your garments clean is repentance, turning away from
- 27:48sinful life and turning towards God.
- 27:51So there's going to be a lot of people who turn away from their
- 27:53sinful life and turn towards God.
- 27:57So verse 22, this is what the sovereign Lord says.
- 28:02See, I will beckon to the nation's.
- 28:06Now listen to this. I will lift up my banner to the
- 28:09peoples. They will bring your sons in
- 28:13their arms and carry your daughters on their hips.
- 28:17So this is a pouring in of all of these nations that the Lord
- 28:23signals to. He lifts up his banner.
- 28:27I mean, is this saying, OK, now this the Kingdom is mine and
- 28:30bring all you people come back to Jerusalem and they're
- 28:33bringing your sons and daughters on, you know, sons in their arms
- 28:38and carry your daughters on their hips.
- 28:41Like there's these, there's this these children, these new
- 28:44children, these unexpected children that are coming into
- 28:48the city of Jerusalem. Now here's the verse that I was,
- 28:54you know, really getting towards verse 23.
- 28:58Kings will be your foster fathers and their Queens, your
- 29:04nursing mothers. Isn't that interesting?
- 29:07So this is the Lord talking to Israel and he's telling Israel
- 29:14kings will be your foster fathers and their Queens, your
- 29:20nursing mothers. So could these be the people
- 29:27that will be reigning with Christ?
- 29:29Does Christ make them kings of certain smaller areas under his
- 29:34authority? Because God is very structured
- 29:38and Jesus, you know, reminds us like Jesus is the head, but then
- 29:42there's all the body, the body of Christ who has all these
- 29:46different functions. And they would have different
- 29:50territories perhaps that they oversee as kings.
- 29:56So it says kings will be your foster fathers and their Queens
- 30:01your nursing mothers. So the Queens have a different
- 30:04purpose. They are like providing
- 30:07nourishment. Maybe that's teaching, maybe I
- 30:10don't, I don't know. You know, it's a symbolic
- 30:12nursing mothers, you know, like a motherly care or a love.
- 30:18You know, maybe it's the the women who are being the
- 30:21nurturers or the carers or, you know, the the caretakers of the
- 30:25people who had been through this terrible battle and are now
- 30:28coming back into this Kingdom that God is restoring.
- 30:31And, and, and again, these kings and Queens are more of not, not
- 30:39justic in a sense, but more like a servant king and queen.
- 30:44Because this very next statement says it.
- 30:48They will bow down before you with their faces to the ground.
- 30:54They will lick the dust at your feet.
- 30:57Then you will know that I am the Lord.
- 31:00Those who hope in me will not be disappointed.
- 31:03So isn't this a little bit different than the way we see
- 31:06kings do Kings come and bow down before somebody else with their
- 31:12faces to the ground and they will lick the dust at your feet.
- 31:17That's like, I guess I don't exactly know what that means,
- 31:21but that's almost like, you know, honoring somebody, I
- 31:24think, or respecting someone that you know, there's a song
- 31:31actually that they sung in church just this past weekend.
- 31:33That's even if I only reach your feet, I've you know, I've
- 31:37reached it all, you know, like if the Lord, but this is God
- 31:42talking to Israel. So we really have to think about
- 31:45this with the anti-Semitism in the world right now, because
- 31:50this is what God says, that kings and Queens are going to be
- 31:53bowing down before Israel with their faces to the ground.
- 31:59And then you will know that I am the Lord.
- 32:02And they're saying kings and Queens are going to be your
- 32:04foster fathers and your nursing mothers.
- 32:09Basically the kings and Queens are going to be serving Israel.
- 32:13Because there's a lot of questions.
- 32:14This is my interpretation, so pray about it.
- 32:17But there's a lot of questions like what are we going to be
- 32:20doing in the Millennium when we're there with Christ?
- 32:23You know, we, you know, is everybody going to rule with
- 32:26him? I mean, there's going to be
- 32:27certain, you know, God gives certain gifts to certain people
- 32:33and different people will be doing different things, but all
- 32:38connected to Christ. They have different skills,
- 32:42different personalities, different ways of interacting
- 32:46with other people and serving other people.
- 32:48That's ultimately what it is serving other people.
- 32:52So then it continues and it, you know, it says more about it.
- 32:56But the point I got to and what's going to tie in, I know
- 33:00I'm going about this in a long way, but you have to kind of get
- 33:03the background first. So when I read kings will be
- 33:07your foster fathers and their Queens, your nursing mothers.
- 33:11Then I thought about in Matthew Chapter 7 verse 13 and 14, it
- 33:20says this is Jesus talking to people enter through the narrow
- 33:27gate. For wide is the gate and broad
- 33:30is the road that leads to destruction and many enter
- 33:36through it, but small is the gate and narrow is the road that
- 33:43leads to life, and only a few find it.
- 33:48So God is like foretold that there's going to be a lot of
- 33:53people going down the wrong path that leads to destruction, but
- 33:58there's going to be a few that find this narrow road.
- 34:02And here's what I, I wonder, because just as in my
- 34:07observation, we have a lot of people in the world who call
- 34:10themselves Christians, but there are fewer people who read their
- 34:15Bible daily and seek the Lord daily and want the Lord to guide
- 34:20them every day and submit to the Holy Spirit of God to say, you
- 34:26tell me what to do. Like I want you to guide me.
- 34:29I don't want to be my boss. I want you to, you know, give me
- 34:35direction in my life. That's a smaller number of
- 34:38people. And I believe that the people
- 34:43who seek God like that and it it says like our faith grows by
- 34:52hearing the message, the message about the Kingdom of God.
- 34:56We get that message about the Kingdom of God through the
- 34:59Bible. And Jesus says I am the vine and
- 35:03you are the branches. And apart from me, you know you
- 35:07can bear no fruit. And if this Bible is the living
- 35:12word of God, how do we stay connected to God?
- 35:15We stay connected to him through the Bible and through our
- 35:19prayers to God. That's how we stay connected.
- 35:24All of the information about God is in the Bible, but our prayers
- 35:29are our communication with God and God can communicate with us
- 35:32too. But not everybody finds that.
- 35:35Like you can see Christians who maybe they go to church a couple
- 35:40times a year and they don't ever read their Bible.
- 35:42That's what I was like. I was like that.
- 35:45So I'm not being it's just once, once you surrender to God and
- 35:51once you let the Holy Spirit into your life, you, you know,
- 35:55if you're closed off to the Holy Spirit and you resist him and
- 35:59you say, no, I don't want your impact in my life, you're not
- 36:02going to get there. But I didn't desire to read the
- 36:05Bible. I when I buy books, I read them
- 36:08one time and then I don't want to go back to them.
- 36:11Typically, the Bible is totally different and I learned
- 36:15something every time or a lot of times when I go into it, there's
- 36:19something that I didn't see before that becomes evident or
- 36:23apparent to me. And like I said before, it was
- 36:26like a treasure that opens up. So then there's another I was
- 36:32trying to find this verse, this particular verse.
- 36:36So I searched meditate because I thought meditate on my laws is
- 36:41what I was trying to find because I remembered here's what
- 36:44I'm getting to When Israel was originally a nation, God was
- 36:54their king. They didn't have a king, but
- 36:57then they started seeing all these surrounding nations that
- 37:00had kings and they they said to their leader, they were like,
- 37:07you know, we want a king too. We want to be like these other
- 37:09nations. They did this when other nations
- 37:12were coming against them, and instead of relying on the power
- 37:17of God, you know, who parted the sea and let them cross on dry
- 37:21ground? I mean, it's so hard to imagine
- 37:24after seeing these miraculous things from God that they
- 37:28actually doubted that this same God who parted the Red Sea for
- 37:33them to cross and come out of Egypt, that this same God would
- 37:38not be able to defeat any battle that comes against them.
- 37:43It's just, you know, the faith. It's just, it shows how, you
- 37:46know, faith has to grow. We don't immediately start out
- 37:51trusting God that God is good and that God is going to do good
- 37:56things with our life if we just let him guide us and we just
- 38:00trust in him. And whatever comes about that we
- 38:03know that God will will make things happen for our our good
- 38:09and to lead us in the right path if we consult with God.
- 38:12And we don't rely on our own selves, but we rely on God.
- 38:16We pray about big decisions in our life and we, we, we ask God
- 38:22to make it known to us in some way.
- 38:24And God communicates individually with people in
- 38:27different ways. So when we seek God, he says
- 38:30when we seek him, we will find him.
- 38:33So anyway, I was looking for this verse that talked about
- 38:36some of the things that were that God gave as commands of
- 38:40what the king should do because God wasn't happy about Israel
- 38:43asking for a king. He was like, that's me, you
- 38:47know, I'm the king. Why do you want another king?
- 38:49Why do you want an earthly king? It's not going to go well for
- 38:52you if you have an earthly king and he tells them, here's all
- 38:55the stuff that's going to happen if you have an earthly king.
- 38:58But they wanted an earthly king. So God gave them an earthly
- 39:02king. And that earthly king was Saul.
- 39:06Now Saul was, he looked perfect. He was like the epitome of what
- 39:11a king should be. And the people were really happy
- 39:15about this new king they were going to have.
- 39:17But God warned him and and Saul, he wasn't a whole, he wasn't
- 39:23completely turned to God. He still wanted to do things his
- 39:27way. Like God would send him on a
- 39:29mission to do something and he would do part of it.
- 39:32He actually had Samuel leading him who was anointed by God.
- 39:37And so Samuel would tell him, go do this.
- 39:39And you know, he would give him instruction and Saul would do
- 39:42some of it. But then he'd be like, I don't
- 39:44think I need to do all that, you know, I'm just going to do this
- 39:47part. And what happened was then, you
- 39:50know, bad things happened because he was disobedient, not
- 39:53doing everything that, you know, God wants you to do.
- 39:57That's the way Saul was. He was, he was had his own mind
- 40:00about what should be done and what didn't need to be done.
- 40:04And he justified things in his own mind, but he wasn't fully
- 40:08obedient to God. And that caused problems anyway.
- 40:15I was looking for the rules that God gave kings and this is going
- 40:19to tie back. So I would just want to read
- 40:22this about meditate. There's only 14 verses but this
- 40:25is kind of interesting. So this is about Isaac when he
- 40:32was when Rebecca was chosen to be his wife.
- 40:38So Isaac, he went out to the field 1 evening to meditate and
- 40:43as he looked up he saw camels approaching.
- 40:45And this is his wife coming, you know, after God.
- 40:49God used a servant of Isaac's to find his wife and then he
- 40:54brought her to him. So it was really interesting.
- 40:58But this word, it's Sarah. I guess I, I don't pronounce it
- 41:05like the way the Jewish people do, but it's only used one time
- 41:08in the Bible and the meaning of it is unknown, but it's
- 41:13translated in the NIV version as meditate.
- 41:16So one evening he went out to a field to, I don't know,
- 41:20something. And he looked up and he saw the
- 41:22camels approaching. And this is his wife coming.
- 41:25And anyway, I'm not going to get on that whole story.
- 41:27But then in Joshua verse one or chapter one, verse 8, keep this
- 41:33book of law always on your lips. Meditate on it day and night so
- 41:39that you may be careful to do everything written in it.
- 41:44Then you will become prosperous and successful.
- 41:48Now Joshua understood this, but not every king understood, even
- 41:56though Moses commanded this from God, that they are supposed to
- 42:02basically do this. Meditate on the book of law.
- 42:04So I'm going to read that again. Keep this book of law always on
- 42:08your lips. Meditate on it day and night so
- 42:13that you may be careful to do everything written in it.
- 42:16And here's the promise. Then you will be prosperous and
- 42:21successful. This is good advice for all of
- 42:25us. If we look, if we familiarize
- 42:30ourself with what's in the Bible and we live by it, we put it
- 42:33into action, things will. I mean, the promise here says
- 42:39you will be prosperous and successful if God is behind it,
- 42:44if God is the foundation. It will be successful if we are
- 42:49moving in God's will. It will be successful.
- 42:54Now the rest of these are Psalms, which are more or less
- 42:58songs, but it talks about meditating.
- 43:01And I remember when I first read the Bible and a lot of the
- 43:04Psalms were written by David and I, when I read these things, I
- 43:10honestly thought, gosh, how can you feel this way about God's
- 43:13laws? Like, I really thought that.
- 43:16And now many years later, I look at these things and I'm like the
- 43:23laws of God. And I realized like, yeah, I was
- 43:25resistant to some of them. And yet at the same time, there
- 43:31are blessings associated with them.
- 43:33And then I look at my life when it it, you know, had problems in
- 43:38it. And it's because I wasn't doing
- 43:41the things that God said to do. And so these are, I can see why
- 43:46David said, you know, I meditate on your laws.
- 43:48And they're, they're, they are blessings.
- 43:50Like I love your laws because they create good.
- 43:55If you follow them, good things come from it.
- 43:59So I'm going to read these Psalms within your temple.
- 44:02Oh God, we meditate on your unfailing love.
- 44:07So thinking about God's unfailing love, I will.
- 44:12And then the next verse in Psalms I'm not going to read,
- 44:15say which one. If you want to go to Digital
- 44:18Bible, I'm on blueletterbible.org.
- 44:21I'm using the NIV version and you can search the word meditate
- 44:25and you can find all these. If you want to reference or go
- 44:27back to any of them, I'll just read these sentences that come
- 44:31from various Psalms so they're not all in one.
- 44:34But it says I will consider all your works and meditate on all
- 44:42your mighty deeds. Like how often do we take a
- 44:46break and think about the mightiness of God and meditate
- 44:49on it? But these are what like David
- 44:52and others did who wrote these psalms.
- 44:56I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways.
- 45:01The rulers sit together and slander me.
- 45:05Your servant will meditate on your decrees.
- 45:09So no matter what else other people are doing, and if they're
- 45:12slanderous against us, meditate on the word of God that brings
- 45:16peace. Then it says, cause me to
- 45:18understand the way of your precepts, that I may meditate on
- 45:24your wonderful deeds. You know, only God is good and
- 45:30it says that God is a good father and he gives good gifts
- 45:34to his children and something we should consider and think about
- 45:40and we can read about it in the Bible and see that God does
- 45:44these things. Then it says, I reach out for
- 45:47your commands, which I love, that I may meditate on your
- 45:52decrees. I think that might have been the
- 45:53verse that I first read that I thought, what?
- 45:56But I see it now. I reach out for your commands
- 46:01like I want you to guide me, God, which I love, that I may
- 46:05meditate on your decrees. Like when you say something,
- 46:08then I think about like, what does that mean?
- 46:10You know, how can I do this? How can I live this out?
- 46:14Then he says, may the arrogant be put to shame for wrongdoing
- 46:18me without cause, but I will meditate on your precepts.
- 46:24I mean, this is kind of good advice too, that arrogant ones
- 46:29put to shame for wronging me without cause.
- 46:34And Jesus says, you know, people will hate people who love Jesus
- 46:39in the world. And so at that point when that
- 46:45happens, the Bible kind of directs us here, I think, to
- 46:50meditate on his precepts. Meditate on what God says, like
- 46:54don't be disturbed by those who are arrogant or those who wrong.
- 47:03A person who is a follower lives out the way Christ tells us to
- 47:08live out. Just meditate on his word and
- 47:13don't be concerned about how the world reacts.
- 47:16Then it says mem. Oh how I love your law.
- 47:20I meditate on it all day long. Again, this is all in Psalm 119
- 47:27and I think this is David talking about this and just
- 47:30saying I love your law. I meditated on it all day long
- 47:33and I thought, wow, David is something else.
- 47:35But David was known as the man after God's heart.
- 47:40Like David was seeking God and he was seeking what does God say
- 47:46and and how do I put it in my life and thinking about
- 47:49meditating on it all day long. Then it says I have more insight
- 47:55than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes.
- 48:00My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may
- 48:06meditate on your promises. I remember the days of long ago.
- 48:11I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have
- 48:16done. They speak of the glorious
- 48:18splendor of your majesty and I will meditate on your wonderful
- 48:24works. So when I searched meditate, I
- 48:28didn't find about meditating on the law, but I knew it was in
- 48:32there. So I finally, I did finally find
- 48:39where it is and and it's found in First Samuel chapter 12,
- 48:47verse 13. I will read this to you now.
- 48:52Here is the king you have chosen, the one you asked for.
- 48:56See, the Lord has set a king over you.
- 49:00So this is the presentation of Saul to the people of Israel
- 49:06because they wanted a king. They weren't happy with God, you
- 49:10know, being in the heavenly realm, being their king.
- 49:13They wanted a physical earthly king and so they asked for it
- 49:17and God said, OK, here you go verse 14.
- 49:22If you fear the Lord and serve and obey him and do not rebel
- 49:30against his commands, and if both you Israel and the King who
- 49:37reigns over you follow the follow the Lord your God, good.
- 49:44So look at all of these things that God is telling them.
- 49:48Like if you fear the Lord, you know, you know his, his
- 49:52awesomeness, you know who he is, his greatness, his mightiness,
- 49:57and you serve him, you obey him. You don't rebel against his
- 50:00commands and it has to do with both Israel and their king.
- 50:06Then it's good. Now here's the the warning verse
- 50:1015 but if you do not obey the Lord and if you rebel against
- 50:17his commands, his hand will be against you as it was against
- 50:23your ancestors. Now something that comes to mind
- 50:26here is God doesn't change and he he's still the same.
- 50:33Now his hand against those who are disobedient.
- 50:37The purpose of that is so that they repent and turn to him.
- 50:41It's God doesn't like punishment, but He does want
- 50:46obedient children. He does want people who love His
- 50:50law like David. Did you know that eventually the
- 50:53Holy Spirit is the one who does that.
- 50:55We don't naturally start out loving God's law, but when the
- 50:59Holy Spirit starts working on our heart, then we start
- 51:03appreciating the things that God says.
- 51:06So let's see now, then stand still and see this great thing
- 51:11the Lord is about to do before your eyes.
- 51:16Is it not wheat harvest? Now I will call on the Lord to
- 51:19send Thunder and rain, and you will realize what an evil thing
- 51:22you did in the eyes of the Lord when you asked for a king.
- 51:25Then Samuel called on the Lord, and the same day the Lord sent
- 51:29Thunder and rain. So all the people stood in awe
- 51:32of the Lord and Samuel. The people said to Samuel, Pray
- 51:36to the Lord your God for your servants, so that we will not
- 51:38die, for we have added to all our other sins the evil of
- 51:42asking for a king. Than Samuel said, do not be
- 51:46afraid. Samuel replied, You have done
- 51:49all this evil, yet do not turn away from the Lord, but serve
- 51:54the Lord with all your heart. Do not turn away after useless
- 51:59idols. They can do you no good, nor can
- 52:03they rescue you because they are useless.
- 52:06For the sake of His great name, the Lord will not reject his
- 52:11people, because the Lord was pleased to make you his own.
- 52:17And for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the
- 52:20Lord by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way
- 52:26that is good and right. So Samuel is still a leader and
- 52:29he's praying for the people of Israel and he commits to
- 52:33teaching them the right way. And he says be sure to fear the
- 52:37Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart.
- 52:41Consider what great things he has done for you.
- 52:44So this also reflects salvation. We don't earn God's Kingdom.
- 52:53God gave us a gift by sending his Son Jesus to die for us on
- 52:59the cross. Hebrews says without the
- 53:01shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins.
- 53:04So Jesus coming on the cross and dying for us made it possible
- 53:09for our sins to be forgiven. And so when we understand that,
- 53:17and then we ask God for the Holy Spirit, Jesus is the one who
- 53:21gives us the Holy Spirit. When we consider what great
- 53:26things he has done for us, that's when we start to serve
- 53:31Him faithfully with our heart. When we think about if he didn't
- 53:36die on the cross for us, we would not be able to get into
- 53:40God's Kingdom on our own works because we are broken, we are
- 53:45fallen, we are sinful beings. It's only through God that God
- 53:50starts to change us through the Holy Spirit.
- 53:53That's the only way that God perfects us.
- 53:58Because even Jesus, I mean, I guess a Pharisee called him and
- 54:01said called him good. And Jesus said to the Pharisee,
- 54:04why you call me good? Only God is good.
- 54:08Because they were denying Jesus was the Son of God, but Jesus
- 54:12was pointing out to some to them, you know, only God's good.
- 54:15So if you're calling me good, are you calling me God, You
- 54:18know, But anyway, we're everything else is sinful, has
- 54:23sin within them, but God does not.
- 54:26God is holy and as children of God, we are to reflect the image
- 54:31of God. And God wants to make us holy
- 54:34like like he is holy. In fact, scripture says be holy
- 54:37because I am holy. That process happens when the
- 54:41Holy Spirit, when we let the Holy Spirit into our life and
- 54:44the Holy Spirit starts to change us.
- 54:47So the final thing in this chapter of First Samuel 12, it
- 54:51says, yet if you persist in doing evil, both you and your
- 54:56king will perish. There's the warning.
- 54:59So I'm still getting to the point here now when the people
- 55:05asked God for a king, God gave them certain commands for the
- 55:13king. And he gave this through Moses,
- 55:16I believe is who he he gave it. And it's found in Deuteronomy
- 55:22chapter 17 about the king. Now I'm getting there.
- 55:25You're going to like the outcome of where my mind went.
- 55:27And I and again, pray about it too.
- 55:30So here's what Moses said to the people.
- 55:36I think it was Moses. When you enter the land the Lord
- 55:39your God is giving you, and you have taken possession of it and
- 55:43settle in it, and you say, let us set a king over us, like all
- 55:48the nations around us. So that's what Israel did.
- 55:51Be sure to appoint over you a king, the Lord, the Lord your
- 55:56God chooses. So it has to be somebody that
- 56:00God chooses. We see later on when the Kingdom
- 56:04becomes divided that the people took it upon themselves to
- 56:09choose a king and both kingdoms were destroyed.
- 56:12There was a northern Kingdom called Israel and a southern
- 56:15Kingdom called Judah, and eventually both of those
- 56:18kingdoms fell because they were disobedient to God.
- 56:24And also Jesus said a Kingdom divided cannot stand.
- 56:28So at once, one time they were all Israel.
- 56:30Then they broke apart. So a Kingdom divided cannot
- 56:33stand. And that proved true over town
- 56:36over time, you know, hundreds and hundreds of years later.
- 56:40But in the very beginning they are told, be sure to appoint a
- 56:45king, the Lord your God chooses. He must be from among your
- 56:51fellow Israelites. Do not place a foreigner over
- 56:55you, one who is not an Israelite.
- 57:00So that's really important. And it may be important in
- 57:03future prophecy to know this from Deuteronomy 1715.
- 57:09Then it says the king, moreover, must not acquire great numbers
- 57:13of horses for himself or make the people return to Egypt to
- 57:18get more of them. For the Lord has told you, you
- 57:21are no, not to go back that way again.
- 57:26So God had delivered them from slavery out of Egypt.
- 57:30So he doesn't want the his people, the Israelites to go
- 57:33back to Egypt again. And he also says don't have a
- 57:38great number of horses. This is is significant when we
- 57:41get to the story about Solomon, who was king David's son, who
- 57:47became king of Israel. He did these things that God,
- 57:53that you know, God gave his commands that he was should not
- 57:56do. He had it.
- 57:57I don't remember how many horses, but if you look up, you
- 58:01know, when Solomon was reigning in the Kingdom of Israel, he had
- 58:06all these stables, like a massive amount of horses in the
- 58:10barns and Chariots and all these things.
- 58:13So he was disregarding God's command.
- 58:18The other thing that Solomon did is verse 17.
- 58:21This is the command. He says he must not take many
- 58:25wives or his heart will be LED astray.
- 58:30He must not accumulate large amounts of silver and gold.
- 58:35Well, Solomon took many wives. I think he had 300 concubines
- 58:40and 700 wives. It was like almost 1000 women
- 58:46that were a part that were either a concubine or his wife.
- 58:51And and then he also built altars and temples for foreign
- 58:56gods that were not God for his wife because it that's his wife
- 59:02came from other beliefs, Pagan worship.
- 59:06And instead of Solomon, you know, only staying within the
- 59:11Israelites, he had these outside women who believed different
- 59:17things and they didn't change. They stayed believing in their
- 59:23other gods, these Pagan religions.
- 59:25And Solomon didn't do anything about it, but rather he built
- 59:29temples for their gods. I mean, how do you think God
- 59:32felt about that? Here's the king of Israel that
- 59:35got anointed and he's building temples to other gods.
- 59:40Don't you think God probably felt a little bit of jealousy
- 59:43there? So Solomon didn't listen to
- 59:46these things. And then there's this queen of
- 59:48Sheba who visits Solomon and was impressed by his wisdom and then
- 59:52starts paying him 666 talents of, I don't know if it was gold
- 59:58or silver, but it was something like that.
- 1:00:00And so this is, these are like tons.
- 1:00:03The conversion in a study Bible will tell you it's like tons.
- 1:00:06That's what she was giving him. Why I don't really understand.
- 1:00:11The Bible only gives us a little.
- 1:00:12I thought that was kind of weird when the number happened to be
- 1:00:15666 because we see that number repeated in the the Book of
- 1:00:22Revelation. And is there something symbolic
- 1:00:26about that? But it was like silver and gold
- 1:00:28or it was something it's, I think it was talents of silver.
- 1:00:31I don't remember. I'd have to look that up.
- 1:00:32But whatever it was, it was something of value that this
- 1:00:36Queen of Sheba, which is modern day Yemen, was giving to
- 1:00:40Solomon. So verse 18 says when he takes
- 1:00:46the throne of his Kingdom, he is to write for himself on a scroll
- 1:00:52a copy of this law taken from that of the Levitical priest.
- 1:00:57Now, so the command to him is you take a scroll and you write
- 1:01:02down this law. Now, when people write down
- 1:01:05something they're learning, it tends to stay in their mind
- 1:01:09longer when they personally write it down.
- 1:01:12And this is the command that was given to them.
- 1:01:15And it's 9 verse 19 says it is to be with him.
- 1:01:20And he is to read it all the days of his life so that he may
- 1:01:26learn to Revere the Lord his God and follow carefully all the
- 1:01:32words of this law and these decrees and not consider himself
- 1:01:39better than his fellow Israelites and turn from the law
- 1:01:44to the right or to the left. Then he and his descendants will
- 1:01:48reign a long time over his Kingdom in Israel.
- 1:01:53So that's the last part. That was ultimately what I was
- 1:01:56wanting to get to. This is the the the part of
- 1:02:01Scripture that came into my mind last night, because here's the
- 1:02:07connection. This was a command to kings that
- 1:02:10they're supposed to take the law, write it down.
- 1:02:13They're supposed to. I was saying like meditate it.
- 1:02:16How does it say it's supposed to be with him and he is supposed
- 1:02:19to read it all the days of his life.
- 1:02:21So that's why I couldn't find the word meditate.
- 1:02:23But essentially he's supposed to meditate, and a king is supposed
- 1:02:29to meditate on the words of the law, God's law, so that he may
- 1:02:33learn to Revere the Lord. This is like seeking the Lord
- 1:02:38and follow carefully all the words of this law and these
- 1:02:42decrees. And then he's not supposed to be
- 1:02:45prideful about his fellow Israelites or turn, you know,
- 1:02:51turn away from the law, like, oh, I'm going to go this way or
- 1:02:54that way, but I'm not going to go straight down the path, the
- 1:02:56narrow path, and abide in what God says.
- 1:03:00So I don't know if you're coming up with the same conclusion, but
- 1:03:06where we started back in Isaiah 49, where it says kings will be
- 1:03:12your foster fathers and their Queens, your nursing mothers,
- 1:03:16They will bow down before you with their faces to the ground.
- 1:03:19They will lick the dust at your feet.
- 1:03:21Then you will know that I am the Lord.
- 1:03:24Those who hope in me will not be disappointed.
- 1:03:27So could God be preparing men today who are drawn
- 1:03:36supernaturally by the works of the Holy Spirit to reading the
- 1:03:41Bible and really like meditating on it, like really seeking the
- 1:03:46Lord, truly wanting to be guided by the Word of God?
- 1:03:51Is God training people today? He gives us free choice.
- 1:03:56We can choose to do this, or we can choose not to do this.
- 1:04:00But those who meditate on God's word day and night and seek the
- 1:04:05Lord, is God preparing those men to be kings in his Kingdom?
- 1:04:12That's the thought that came to my mind last night about the
- 1:04:16Millennium reign. Like, is all of this what we're
- 1:04:18doing on earth? I think we are on a testing
- 1:04:22ground for God. God is maybe he's, he's trying
- 1:04:26us out in different capacities and he's figuring out, well,
- 1:04:29where is this person going to be in based on their, their free
- 1:04:33will decisions about what they do when they are given choices,
- 1:04:38where are they going to be placed in the Kingdom of God?
- 1:04:42And this should be very encouraging to people because
- 1:04:45you can be a lowly person in this world today that has
- 1:04:50nothing. But if you have, if your heart
- 1:04:54is focused on God, God may use you to be someone great in his
- 1:05:02Kingdom. Just like the people that it
- 1:05:04says in Revelation that have their heads, they're beheaded
- 1:05:08because of their testimony about Jesus, God's going, it literally
- 1:05:13says in the Book of Revelation that God is going to make, that
- 1:05:16they're going to reign with Christ.
- 1:05:18So we know that those people who are beheaded, you know, in order
- 1:05:23to be beheaded, you probably have to have a really strong
- 1:05:27faith. And it says faith comes by
- 1:05:30hearing the message, the message about the Kingdom of God.
- 1:05:32Where do we get that? We get that from the Bible.
- 1:05:35So it's through meditating on the Word that people have strong
- 1:05:40faith. The word of the Lord changes us.
- 1:05:44It it does something. I mean, I can personally say
- 1:05:47that about my life. Like I called myself a Christian
- 1:05:51my whole entire life, but it wasn't until I read the Bible
- 1:05:55and was convicted by what the Bible said and that I had a
- 1:06:00decision like, am I going to be a hypocrite and live how I want?
- 1:06:05Or am I going to surrender to the Holy Spirit and turn to God,
- 1:06:12Repent from my sins, repent from my selfish ways and become more
- 1:06:18selfless like God is. And the Holy Spirit is the one
- 1:06:22who, you know, prompts us along the way.
- 1:06:26And that's going to be that conviction.
- 1:06:28Sometimes I think people call it guilt.
- 1:06:30Like all of a sudden you feel the sense of guilt and you're
- 1:06:32like, oh, I should have done this.
- 1:06:34And I did that. And then, you know, you talk to
- 1:06:37God and you're like, God, I'm sorry I failed there.
- 1:06:39Help me the next time to do the right thing.
- 1:06:44I mean, that's the relationship with God that we have.
- 1:06:47And this is like what I wanted to.
- 1:06:50Like the main point of this recording is that I wonder and
- 1:06:56pray about it. I wonder if God is taking people
- 1:06:59today and putting it in front of you.
- 1:07:01Like here's the Bible, what are you going to do with it?
- 1:07:04Are you going to meditate on it? Are you going to read it?
- 1:07:07Are you going to implement it? What it says in your life?
- 1:07:10Are you going to follow it? How close?
- 1:07:12How much do you want to seek me? How much do you love me?
- 1:07:16Because Jesus said if you love me, you will obey my commands.
- 1:07:21So could God today be preparing kings in the future, because
- 1:07:29this is a command that God gave In Deuteronomy 17 verse 18, when
- 1:07:36he, referring to the king, takes the throne of his Kingdom, he is
- 1:07:40to write for himself on a scroll a copy of this law taken from
- 1:07:44that of the Levitical priest. It is to be with him, and he is
- 1:07:48to read it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to
- 1:07:53Revere the Lord his God, and follow carefully all the words
- 1:07:58of this law and these decrees, and not consider himself better
- 1:08:04than his fellow Israelites, and turn from the law to the right
- 1:08:08or the left. Then he and his descendants will
- 1:08:11reign a long time over his Kingdom in Israel.
- 1:08:15Could that be the thousand year reign of Christ where God says
- 1:08:19OK you take care of this territory right here and you are
- 1:08:23given this because you have meditated on my law.
- 1:08:27This is my speculation, so don't take this as the word of God.
- 1:08:31However, I do think there is scripture that supports this.
- 1:08:34And again, either it was just my crazy idea that came to me in
- 1:08:39the middle of the night, or maybe it was was a God revealing
- 1:08:43something or giving me an understanding of things that's
- 1:08:46in His word. But whatever it is, I think
- 1:08:49there's no harm in really seeking the Word of God every
- 1:08:54day. In fact, I think it does bless
- 1:08:57us. Scripture tells us that it
- 1:08:58blesses us, but the question is, is God actually preparing
- 1:09:02certain people for the future Millennium by the people who
- 1:09:07really, truly seek Him and get into His word every day?
- 1:09:11I mean, God is a good God and He does these amazing things and
- 1:09:14surprises people with blessings and, and I just have a feeling
- 1:09:19that this could be what God might be doing.
- 1:09:23I can't say for fact that it is, but it's certainly something
- 1:09:26beautiful and it certainly reflects the character of God
- 1:09:30that I've seen in the Bible and what he does.
- 1:09:32And then I also want to talk about women because women and
- 1:09:39men have different roles. And I've often thought about
- 1:09:43this too. I was, you know, like just
- 1:09:45thinking about the future, like if I get beheaded, you know, I'm
- 1:09:49a female and I'm probably not going to be the leader of, you
- 1:09:53know, I'm not going to be a, a king or anything like that.
- 1:09:57You know, So like, what, what am I?
- 1:10:00What am I going to be? And I think we can kind of get
- 1:10:03some insight for women in Proverbs 31 because it talks
- 1:10:07about about a woman's role. And, and again we hear about
- 1:10:14like Jesus is the bridegroom and Jerusalem is the bride or the
- 1:10:21people who are grafted in all become the bride, men and women.
- 1:10:25And I think women do have a certain role.
- 1:10:28And I think we can get some insight into that role from the
- 1:10:33book of Proverbs. So for the women I want to read
- 1:10:37this and I think this could be pertinent to what God may be
- 1:10:44doing for women in the future in his Millennium in the reign of
- 1:10:50Christ. A wife of noble character who
- 1:10:54can find she is worth far more than rubies.
- 1:10:57Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of
- 1:11:01value. So if we think about Jesus as
- 1:11:04the husband and he sees what women are doing today, and then
- 1:11:09he has full confidence because he's seen over this time that
- 1:11:13we've been on earth, we're being tested, we're being looked at,
- 1:11:16What do we do with what we know? And her husband, Jesus has full
- 1:11:22confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
- 1:11:26She brings him good, not harm. All the days of her life.
- 1:11:31She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
- 1:11:35So a woman is working. She is like the merchant ships
- 1:11:40bringing her food from afar. Now food could be symbolic of
- 1:11:45maybe the word of God. It could be a teaching thing.
- 1:11:48Remember in Isaiah it said that the Queens would be the nursing
- 1:11:53mothers. So maybe this is, you know, what
- 1:11:56the woman's role will be in the Millennium.
- 1:12:00She gets up while it is still night.
- 1:12:02She provides food for her family and portions for her female
- 1:12:07servants. She considers a field and buys
- 1:12:10it out of her earnings. She plants a vineyard.
- 1:12:14So a woman is also an entrepreneur too.
- 1:12:17She sets about her work vigorously.
- 1:12:20Her arms are strong for her tasks.
- 1:12:23She sees that her trading is profitable and her lamp does not
- 1:12:28go out at night. In her hand she holds the
- 1:12:32distaff and grasp the spindle with her fingers.
- 1:12:36She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the
- 1:12:41needy. When it snows she has No Fear
- 1:12:44for her household for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
- 1:12:49I think that could mean covered by the blood of Jesus, there's
- 1:12:53No Fear. So when it snows snow.
- 1:12:56If you look in the Bible and the the interplay in the Bible
- 1:13:00between books is amazing, but search snow and you will see
- 1:13:06that snow is stored in times of war.
- 1:13:11It's in God's storehouses for times of war.
- 1:13:15So it's symbolic about war in snow.
- 1:13:20So when it snows, so maybe when there's war, she has No Fear for
- 1:13:24her household for all of them are clothed in scarlet,
- 1:13:28protected by the blood of Jesus. She makes coverings for her bed.
- 1:13:34She is clothed in fine linen and purple.
- 1:13:37So fine linen is purity represents purity in the Bible.
- 1:13:42And purple is the color. It was a very rare dye and only
- 1:13:47royalty wore that. So this again supports that
- 1:13:51queen purpose of the the nurturing, you know, mothers,
- 1:13:59her husband is respected at the city gate where he takes his
- 1:14:02seat among the elders of the land.
- 1:14:05So her husband is a prominent one at the city gate and you
- 1:14:09know, he's respected by the community.
- 1:14:13She makes linen garments and sells them and supplies the
- 1:14:17merchants with sashes. She is clothed with strength and
- 1:14:22dignity. She can laugh at the days to
- 1:14:25come. She speaks with wisdom, and
- 1:14:28faithful instruction is on her tongue.
- 1:14:31She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat
- 1:14:36the bread of idleness. So again, here it's not literal
- 1:14:40bread, but it's like, what do you do with your time?
- 1:14:43Are you doing something productive with it?
- 1:14:46Or do you suffer from idleness and are you doing nothing and
- 1:14:50spending your time idly? Well, that's not what this woman
- 1:14:54is described at. She doesn't do that.
- 1:14:56She's not idle, she is busy. Her children arise and call her
- 1:15:01blessed. Her husband also, and he praises
- 1:15:05her. Many women do noble things, but
- 1:15:08you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive and beauty is
- 1:15:13fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
- 1:15:18Honor her for all her hands have done, and let her works bring
- 1:15:23her praise at the city gate. So that concludes the woman's
- 1:15:27role. And I think, you know, maybe
- 1:15:30this time on earth, God is seeing what we do with what He
- 1:15:34gives us with the gifts from the Holy Spirit.
- 1:15:37What do we use them for? What do we do?
- 1:15:40Are we as women, a Proverbs 31 woman?
- 1:15:46And it does, you know, it says she's clothed in purple and we
- 1:15:51go back to Isaiah 49 verse 23. Could that be insight that last
- 1:16:01night happened where I'm like God's preparing kings and Queens
- 1:16:05today and it's through meditating on His Word, through
- 1:16:08putting into practice of His Word and those who stay in the
- 1:16:12Word every day. God has something special
- 1:16:15planned for you. Think about it and pray about
- 1:16:18it.
