Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: All right, it is FOMC day and of course we'll
- 0:05Speaker 1: break it all down. We're going to have chair Pal
- 0:07Speaker 1: coming to the press stand here at a minute, and
- 0:10Speaker 1: if you guys don't know, this is how we do
- 0:12Speaker 1: these live streams, so welcome in. We're going to be
- 0:15Speaker 1: covering what chair Pal will be addressing in reference to
- 0:18Speaker 1: the press corps and a lot of the indicators on
- 0:21Speaker 1: forward looking statements is the most important thing on how
- 0:26Speaker 1: this plays out into the crypto markets. So it's going
- 0:28Speaker 1: to be a good one today. I do want to
- 0:30Speaker 1: thank our sponsor and that's I Trust Capital. If you
- 0:32Speaker 1: guys aren't into a cryptoira, you should be go over
- 0:35Speaker 1: and check out I Trust Capital.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Very easy.
- 0:38Speaker 1: You can get gold and silver over there, tons of
- 0:40Speaker 1: assets that you can see streaming across there. I of
- 0:43Speaker 1: course love to kind of move in and out. And
- 0:46Speaker 1: the thing about I Trust is that you only pay
- 0:50Speaker 1: for the trades you're doing. There's no monthly fees, so
- 0:52Speaker 1: it's very easy to set up. Check it out, use
- 0:54Speaker 1: our link down blow it's going to give one hundred
- 0:56Speaker 1: dollars funding reward to get started. Let's go into some
- 0:58Speaker 1: of the news, of course, as it probably been following
- 1:01Speaker 1: over on X, the FED has decided to pause interest rates,
- 1:05Speaker 1: remaining at a three and a half to three seven five.
- 1:07Speaker 1: So we will see more pressure I think from both
- 1:11Speaker 1: Vesent and Trump going at chair pal of again, the
- 1:16Speaker 1: too late pal moniker that starts to push in on
- 1:19Speaker 1: what's happening right now, And if you look at where
- 1:22Speaker 1: we are overall, there's a lot going on in the
- 1:25Speaker 1: market that you would say, Okay, maybe there's a reason
- 1:28Speaker 1: for a pause. You hit a seven thousand all time
- 1:30Speaker 1: high at the S and P. I mean, this is
- 1:32Speaker 1: crazy to see the S and P five hundred at
- 1:35Speaker 1: seven thousand, Absolutely insane. By the way, if you guys
- 1:39Speaker 1: aren't subscribed to the channel, make sure and do that
- 1:40Speaker 1: right now and hit the little bell. So when we
- 1:43Speaker 1: do these live streams, you're going to get notified. Hopefully,
- 1:46Speaker 1: if that's all working with YouTube, you'll get notified off
- 1:49Speaker 1: when we do these live streams that we can enjoin
- 1:50Speaker 1: at the right time and you won't just discover that
- 1:53Speaker 1: we're live out there on YouTube. Another thing that plays
- 1:56Speaker 1: into this, which is interesting is that right there eight thousand,
- 2:01Speaker 1: Come on, guys, thirty five percent chance eight thousand this year.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Let me know if you think that will happen, just
- 2:08Speaker 1: put eight thousand in the comment down below. That'll tell
- 2:11Speaker 1: me you think it's gonna happen. I just don't know.
- 2:14Speaker 1: That would be an absolute, unbelievable bullish market. I just
- 2:19Speaker 1: wonder where risk assets would be based on that, because
- 2:23Speaker 1: the Fed is going to hold out. And remember JP
- 2:26Speaker 1: Morgan is still anticipating no cuts this year, even though
- 2:30Speaker 1: everybody else is saying, wait a minute, you could run
- 2:32Speaker 1: the risk of disinflation if we continue to see this
- 2:35Speaker 1: flowing down. Obviously, the Powell's douvish pause right now, which
- 2:40Speaker 1: was what was expected, one thing to kind of keep
- 2:43Speaker 1: an eye on, and I think this is right. Devish
- 2:46Speaker 1: or Hockey's tone for power will ripple through stocks, especially
- 2:50Speaker 1: major tech earnings. We've got Microsoft this week, Tesla, Meta,
- 2:53Speaker 1: all of this landing after the close today, so I'm
- 2:56Speaker 1: kind of curious how this is going to hit them.
- 2:58Speaker 1: If you look at trueflation, which is a good barometer
- 3:02Speaker 1: for I think real inflation. I know the CPI is
- 3:07Speaker 1: kind of the end. I'll be all, but this is
- 3:09Speaker 1: data that's being pulled in immediately, and when you look
- 3:13Speaker 1: at what's behind this, the amount of research and real
- 3:16Speaker 1: data that's coming in on true inflation. I think it's
- 3:18Speaker 1: a better indicator. And of course, right here is the
- 3:21Speaker 1: sixth month from the high what is this two point
- 3:23Speaker 1: seven to zero all the way down here to where
- 3:26Speaker 1: we are floating right now at one point one six,
- 3:28Speaker 1: which is insane as we see that cliff on inflation,
- 3:33Speaker 1: and I think a lot of this has come from
- 3:34Speaker 1: lower gas and energy prices. We're starting to see some
- 3:37Speaker 1: food products that are hitting the streets much lower, and
- 3:41Speaker 1: in general, I think all of this is also starting
- 3:43Speaker 1: to indicate and translate into real estate along with everything else.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Stick around because we are going to do the live
- 3:49Speaker 1: here in a second with chair Pal. He goes on
- 3:51Speaker 1: usually around two thirty every time he does one of
- 3:54Speaker 1: these conferences, and the things in case you've never been
- 3:58Speaker 1: on one of these before, the way it works is
- 4:02Speaker 1: we'll show his comments primarily to the questions of most
- 4:06Speaker 1: of the financial reporters coming out of Wall Street. Now
- 4:09Speaker 1: there's a handful of them that you want to pay
- 4:12Speaker 1: attention to. Rick Timmeros from the Wall Street Journal. He's
- 4:15Speaker 1: usually really good. Bloomberg has some good analysts in there
- 4:19Speaker 1: that usually have some good indicators. But I think everybody's
- 4:21Speaker 1: going to be asking. The one question is when cut?
- 4:25Speaker 1: When cut? And whether this goes beyond his tenure, because
- 4:30Speaker 1: remember he's only got I think two more meetings FORMC meetings.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Before his position could be replaced.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Whether this is going to be Rick Reader or you
- 4:39Speaker 1: know who else we'll see, but right now, that's the issue.
- 4:44Speaker 1: We did the poll. Of course, reflation at one point
- 4:46Speaker 1: one six fed target two percent. Surprise right incoming, not
- 4:50Speaker 1: a chance was the winner. So you guys, of course
- 4:54Speaker 1: were correct on the audience there.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Nice job.
- 4:56Speaker 1: I love it when you guys know what's up. Other
- 4:58Speaker 1: thing I want to get into is this whole issue
- 5:01Speaker 1: around the value of the dollar.
- 5:03Speaker 2: And I'll zoom in on this.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Tweet right here, because a lot of people didn't really
- 5:07Speaker 1: understand what Trump was indicating. And when he says the
- 5:11Speaker 1: value of the dollar is great, it really boils down
- 5:15Speaker 1: to a handful of things that it impacts. And this
- 5:18Speaker 1: was the clip. I think we're gonna play that clip. Actually,
- 5:20Speaker 1: let's do that. Let's go to the clip real quick.
- 5:24Speaker 3: I'm starting to hear comparisons late last week, today, yesterday
- 5:28Speaker 3: to this feels like early twenty twenty five and Liberation
- 5:31Speaker 3: Day all over again. Really, this is a real sort
- 5:34Speaker 3: of dollar focused impulse to sell. You'd expect to see
- 5:37Speaker 3: the dollar weaker as stock's strengthen they have a negative correlation,
- 5:42Speaker 3: particularly the dollar as a traditionally Hayman asset. We didn't
- 5:45Speaker 3: see that late last year. The stock's, the dollar, treasury
- 5:47Speaker 3: say we're all falling together. So I think that's the
- 5:49Speaker 3: big question right now is will we see that again.
- 5:52Speaker 3: I don't think we are yet.
- 5:53Speaker 1: If for any indications that there's higher rates coming we're
- 5:55Speaker 1: talking about that could put some a floor under the
- 5:57Speaker 1: dollar correct.
- 5:58Speaker 3: That could definitely help JP Morgan when they came out
- 6:01Speaker 3: with their big currency forecast.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Late last year. They're barish on the dollar.
- 6:05Speaker 3: But the big risk to their barish dollar view is
- 6:08Speaker 3: the Fed has to turn around a hike again. We
- 6:10Speaker 3: might not see that, but that's the risk.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I don't know if people are not moving to this
- 6:18Speaker 1: data just yet. Because you look at gold obviously starting
- 6:21Speaker 1: to fly. I don't know if it's up above fifty
- 6:23Speaker 1: three hundred yet, but it was close this morning. And
- 6:26Speaker 1: then of course what we've already seen with the S
- 6:28Speaker 1: and P five hundred, This is I don't know, man,
- 6:31Speaker 1: I think You're going to continue to see a push
- 6:33Speaker 1: to safe assets, flight to quality, whatever you want to
- 6:37Speaker 1: call it, and we're going to see more of that,
- 6:39Speaker 1: which I think still puts a lot of pressure on
- 6:41Speaker 1: risk assets. The one thing that is not in the
- 6:44Speaker 1: cards though, yet, I think is clarity. And of course
- 6:47Speaker 1: senat Agbil is the big day tomorrow. This may be
- 6:51Speaker 1: a nothing burger for crypto today on the FMC meeting
- 6:55Speaker 1: unless powerpuls something out because he's worried about where these
- 6:59Speaker 1: markets are trending based on dollar devaluation. But you consider
- 7:03Speaker 1: right now what's happening in DC. I think that is
- 7:06Speaker 1: the big trigger point going forward of what the markets
- 7:10Speaker 1: are going to look like very soon. Bloomberg also had
- 7:14Speaker 1: a statement in here. It said, it feels like Liberation
- 7:16Speaker 1: Day again, but a little bit different.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Listen to the clip, but really.
- 7:21Speaker 4: There's almost no informational value, and which should be probably
- 7:24Speaker 4: completely discounted. What I mean by that is Trump's you
- 7:28Speaker 4: welcomness to a softer dollar is not new. He's constantly
- 7:31Speaker 4: expressed that, and as Robert Kaplan outlined, you know, Trump
- 7:34Speaker 4: wants to remake US as an industrial power house, but
- 7:37Speaker 4: in reality, it's financial services is power, and so therefore
- 7:41Speaker 4: that Trump's the kind of exports basis as Robert Kaplan outlined.
- 7:44Speaker 4: But that's know how Trump sees it. So this isn't
- 7:46Speaker 4: a new view from Trump. And I think that in
- 7:49Speaker 4: context of the latest dollar weakness is with the context
- 7:51Speaker 4: that Trump's policy has been slightly undermined. He had a
- 7:55Speaker 4: backtruck in Greenland. He's kind of slightly de escalated when
- 7:58Speaker 4: it comes to Minneapolis. He he threatened Conda with tarffs.
- 8:01Speaker 4: That was kind of ignored. He threatened Korea on Tarft's
- 8:03Speaker 4: on the stock market boomed. So in the context that
- 8:06Speaker 4: his comments of being slightly undermined, why are we suddenly
- 8:09Speaker 4: putting so much weight in him reiterating an old view,
- 8:12Speaker 4: I don't see why. So for me, I embarrassed the
- 8:15Speaker 4: dollar structure, But I don't think this is a reason
- 8:16Speaker 4: to sell the dollar.
- 8:18Speaker 2: All right. So that was Mark I.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Moore, one of my favorite analysts over there, Bloomberg not
- 8:22Speaker 1: a reason to sell the dollar. I'm in a disagreement
- 8:24Speaker 1: with him. I do think it is a reason we're
- 8:26Speaker 1: going to continue to see a little bit of a
- 8:28Speaker 1: down trend, which again gets back to the point I
- 8:31Speaker 1: think that is going to push more into a lot
- 8:33Speaker 1: of these commodities going forward. Let's go to the Kobe
- 8:36Speaker 1: ec letter because they kind of outlined here a week
- 8:39Speaker 1: of dollar helps drive the following a little bit sarcastic here,
- 8:42Speaker 1: but loser financial conditions, ray cuts, higher nominal GDP growth,
- 8:46Speaker 1: higher asset prices. We're all experiencing that with if you're
- 8:49Speaker 1: in token is security or securities right now, or in
- 8:52Speaker 1: token ised securities, hire.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Us ex sports.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Lower trade deficit, that's a big one that best and
- 8:57Speaker 1: of course is trying to manage and then easier debts
- 9:00Speaker 1: servicing for the government. That's the one thing that kind
- 9:03Speaker 1: of works but doesn't because we're not even though we're
- 9:05Speaker 1: seeing lower dollar valuation, the issue is still the Fed
- 9:10Speaker 1: fund rate, which is still holding at a significant greater
- 9:14Speaker 1: amount than what we've been able to service debt in
- 9:16Speaker 1: the past. So that's why Trump basically said the dollar's
- 9:20Speaker 1: doing great because it's helping all these.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Other areas right there.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I do see your comments coming in. We may try
- 9:25Speaker 1: to answer a few questions for you guys as well,
- 9:27Speaker 1: so you can drop those in there as well. Love
- 9:31Speaker 1: to kind of get into those. I love the comments
- 9:32Speaker 1: because some of them are kind of funny. Let's get
- 9:35Speaker 1: into some other tweets here and again, as I reminded everyone,
- 9:39Speaker 1: if you're brand new into the stream, we will be
- 9:41Speaker 1: going live with a chair pal. He will address the
- 9:45Speaker 1: press corps. We'll get a chance to get forward looking
- 9:47Speaker 1: statements from him, and it's very key to how he responds,
- 9:52Speaker 1: because if he gives any indication that maybe the next
- 9:55Speaker 1: FED meeting, or if it's going to look like even
- 9:58Speaker 1: past his tenure for the Board of Governors, is even
- 10:02Speaker 1: considering a rate cut, all that will matter into these
- 10:05Speaker 1: risk markets. For sure, US dollar is testing same zone
- 10:10Speaker 1: that triggered the twenty seventeen and twenty twenty one bull run.
- 10:14Speaker 1: That's a big deal because if we get that kind
- 10:16Speaker 1: of indicator right now on the Dixie, this could be
- 10:20Speaker 1: an interesting summer for bitcoin and also for crypto.
- 10:24Speaker 2: So be on the lookout here, guys.
- 10:26Speaker 1: This next few months are going to be pretty very
- 10:29Speaker 1: I think very important. The twenty twenty pandemic period, this
- 10:33Speaker 1: of course, was after a lot of liquidity in the
- 10:35Speaker 1: enter of the markets. The Dixie lost ninety six again,
- 10:37Speaker 1: that was the big one that you're watching. Bitcoin rows
- 10:40Speaker 1: seven x in the next seven eight months. Eth and
- 10:42Speaker 1: all coins gain ten and twenty x and more. Now,
- 10:45Speaker 1: I don't think we'll see a lot of the all
- 10:48Speaker 1: coins in that market because it's a different kind of
- 10:51Speaker 1: market now than what it was in twenty twenty one.
- 10:54Speaker 1: In twenty twenty versus now, I think it's a little
- 10:56Speaker 1: bit of a different game, So just be aware of
- 10:59Speaker 1: that if you are out there.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Investing in some of these all coins.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Government shutdown is another issue right now that we are
- 11:06Speaker 1: dealing with. The current chance is seventy seven percent, much
- 11:09Speaker 1: higher than I would like, but the likelihood I think
- 11:13Speaker 1: is still putting pressure on this administration around a lot
- 11:16Speaker 1: of its policies, and we all know some of the
- 11:18Speaker 1: challenges that that itself has been facing, so that may
- 11:22Speaker 1: cause a little bit of a problem. Best in the
- 11:25Speaker 1: course comes in interesting statement here on potential for US
- 11:29Speaker 1: government shutdown. Don't know what to expect. So I don't
- 11:32Speaker 1: know if he's just given up on Congress in the
- 11:34Speaker 1: sense of who knows what they're up to, or if
- 11:36Speaker 1: maybe he's got some strategy here that's not trying to
- 11:39Speaker 1: sway one way or the other to make sure we
- 11:42Speaker 1: get votes in to keep this thing open. And it
- 11:44Speaker 1: may be a last minute. It's probably going to come
- 11:46Speaker 1: through as a last minute vote that will either keep
- 11:49Speaker 1: it open or shut it down. Obviously, many of the
- 11:52Speaker 1: things are centered around the funding of ice et cetera.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I mean, there's a lot right now in DC that
- 11:57Speaker 1: they're dealing with.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Other things. You kind of have to look at.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Is institutions still not buying the dollar devaluation narrative, at
- 12:04Speaker 1: least not yet. Black Rock course depositing more bitcoin and
- 12:09Speaker 1: ether into coinbase, though, so that tells you something for sure.
- 12:14Speaker 1: I'm not sure when the Clarity Meeting bill. I just
- 12:18Speaker 1: saw a note on here. When the Clarity bill, it's
- 12:20Speaker 1: not the Clarity bill, it's the Senate bill that's going
- 12:22Speaker 1: to be voted on tomorrow.
- 12:24Speaker 2: And if it.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Does fail, well, first of all, if it goes through, obviously,
- 12:28Speaker 1: I think this is a big indicator for what clarity
- 12:29Speaker 1: we'll do. It we'll go through eventually, depending on the
- 12:32Speaker 1: negotiations of how they're going to deal with stable coin yields.
- 12:35Speaker 1: But if it does fail, that may be a win
- 12:37Speaker 1: as well, because it's going to give us an idea
- 12:40Speaker 1: of where and what votes we.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Need to pull this across the line.
- 12:44Speaker 1: So it may be kind of like a test, you know,
- 12:47Speaker 1: tapping the brake, so to speak, around where this is
- 12:50Speaker 1: going good? So we could be when if we pass,
- 12:53Speaker 1: and when even if it does not pass, because the
- 12:55Speaker 1: depending on who is voting for it and why, could
- 12:59Speaker 1: give us a lot of indications of how to maybe
- 13:01Speaker 1: move the market forward for this.
- 13:02Speaker 2: So that's the big one for sure.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I think that's the big one that starts to move
- 13:07Speaker 1: markets is clarity. You probably won't see it yet, but
- 13:10Speaker 1: we're gonna put out a video. I don't know if
- 13:12Speaker 1: it's live. Is it live yet, guys? The new one?
- 13:15Speaker 2: Not yet?
- 13:15Speaker 1: All right, So we've got a video that's going to
- 13:17Speaker 1: be dropping today that is explaining a lot of where
- 13:22Speaker 1: we could see almost two different financial markets being developed.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I think if you guys have been watching our show
- 13:28Speaker 1: long enough, you understand that DeFi is rising fast. There's
- 13:33Speaker 1: a lot of strategies that are being implemented by major companies,
- 13:37Speaker 1: and we're talking about the biggest of the biggest when
- 13:39Speaker 1: it comes to trad FI getting into token is stocks,
- 13:43Speaker 1: plus all of the moves with Jupiter Onto and of
- 13:46Speaker 1: course what we're going to see. I think in DeFi,
- 13:49Speaker 1: should we get more restrictive clarity coming out of DC.
- 13:53Speaker 1: So that's a big deal because it does start to
- 13:56Speaker 1: impact that and if that does happen, one of the
- 13:59Speaker 1: winners that we'll be out there, of course, is going
- 14:01Speaker 1: to be Ethereum. And here's Tom Lee truth on what works.
- 14:05Speaker 1: But della fomo make you abandon good ideas. And I
- 14:07Speaker 1: think he's talking about the fact that BM and R
- 14:10Speaker 1: is still one of the biggest holders out there, the
- 14:12Speaker 1: biggest holder out there of E They've continued to invest
- 14:16Speaker 1: in innovation, his recent investment with mister Beast.
- 14:19Speaker 2: We'll see how that plays out.
- 14:21Speaker 1: A lot of people still confuse as to how that's
- 14:23Speaker 1: going to work for them as a digital asset treasury company.
- 14:27Speaker 1: But remember that a digital asset treasury company. At some
- 14:31Speaker 1: point when you look at the fuel for that company
- 14:34Speaker 1: being eth and you look at the market that Ethereum
- 14:38Speaker 1: serves globally, then you look at the demographic because most
- 14:42Speaker 1: people I would say that are in DeFi for the
- 14:45Speaker 1: most part, are probably and I'm not being agist or anything,
- 14:49Speaker 1: but are probably under the age of forty. They understand it,
- 14:52Speaker 1: they're okay with it, and they see it as a future.
- 14:55Speaker 1: And I think that's where Tom Lee is trying to
- 14:57Speaker 1: go here with this is a demographic shift in the
- 15:00Speaker 1: investors moving forward other things that are happening around gold.
- 15:05Speaker 1: As you have Tether, this is a big deal because
- 15:08Speaker 1: fifteen percent of its portfolio has been moving into gold.
- 15:12Speaker 1: This continues to push gold up as we see a
- 15:16Speaker 1: fifty three hundred dollars gold coming in very hot. And
- 15:19Speaker 1: of course, if you listen to Paolo, he's been talking
- 15:22Speaker 1: about this for quite a while, but this was an
- 15:24Speaker 1: interesting statement by Walter Bloomberg's Twitter account. Tether amassing at
- 15:29Speaker 1: one hundred and forty tons of gold worth about twenty
- 15:31Speaker 1: four billion, making it's the largest private holder. And of
- 15:34Speaker 1: course they have been talking about this, and remember xaut
- 15:38Speaker 1: has been flying up the charts on coin market cap
- 15:43Speaker 1: in comparison to what's going on with Paxos as well.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I think the chair is getting ready to go in,
- 15:49Speaker 1: so let's take a look and see. All right, maybe not.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Let's go ahead, and I'll hit on one other thing
- 15:55Speaker 1: real quick before we head over to the chair and
- 15:59Speaker 1: the foe. See the live on what they're doing. As
- 16:02Speaker 1: far as addressing the press corps. Hopefully we'll have that
- 16:07Speaker 1: cleared up in a second. But one thing that you've
- 16:09Speaker 1: got to be looking at. Is a busy week for
- 16:11Speaker 1: Wall Street. Key macro earnings events are coming up this week,
- 16:15Speaker 1: including obviously the FMC decision we just announced. But one
- 16:19Speaker 1: of the things that will be happening, I think, is
- 16:21Speaker 1: again how these stocks are going to be flowing into this.
- 16:24Speaker 1: So you've got Tasla going out with earnings, You've got
- 16:28Speaker 1: Microsoft going out with earnings, Meta coming out with earnings,
