Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: And now, the mob guys create coyotes.
- 0:27Speaker 2: That's right.
- 0:42Speaker 3: We are the Mob Guys on KSEV Radio. I am
- 0:45Speaker 3: Craig Colonese. He is Wayne Dolcefino. And we are thrilled
- 0:49Speaker 3: to be with you.
- 0:50Speaker 4: We were just talking about, hey, we're just talking about
- 0:52Speaker 4: this off the air. And so I'm just going to.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Do it for a couple seconds on the air real quick.
- 0:58Speaker 3: A friend of mine passed away, a longtime broadcaster in Indianapolis.
- 1:02Speaker 3: I will be going to his Celebration of Life tomorrow.
- 1:05Speaker 4: That's an indie. I'll be traveling.
- 1:07Speaker 3: I'll do the show remotely with Wayne. We figured out
- 1:09Speaker 3: how to do the show remotely for the most part.
- 1:11Speaker 3: As you can see, Wayne does it in his fancy
- 1:13Speaker 3: office all the time. But I wanted to say one thing,
- 1:17Speaker 3: and I know that Matt Baer, the guy's name, would
- 1:19Speaker 3: actually want me to say this, because he won awards
- 1:23Speaker 3: for a podcast he created called Supporting Sobriety, in which
- 1:29Speaker 3: he talked about his struggle with alcoholism and at times
- 1:32Speaker 3: in his life being able to defeat it, and then
- 1:36Speaker 3: at other times having that struggle come back. And it
- 1:40Speaker 3: was a component to him passing away at 48 in Indianapolis.
- 1:45Speaker 4: And I don't know.
- 1:46Speaker 3: I just I thought at the beginning of the show,
- 1:48Speaker 3: one of the things that deserves to be said for
- 1:50Speaker 3: anyone that struggles with anything. And this is where maybe
- 1:53Speaker 3: the compassion part of you and I, Wayne, comes in,
- 1:56Speaker 3: like where we can be tough when we need to
- 1:57Speaker 3: be tough. We can be compassionate when we need to
- 1:59Speaker 3: be compassionate. Some things, even if you wind up getting
- 2:02Speaker 3: known for them, are still obviously challenges and difficult. And
- 2:06Speaker 3: you can still have lapses and go back and forth.
- 2:08Speaker 3: And I can't fathom the pressure that my friend was under.
- 2:12Speaker 3: being more and more known as one of the guys
- 2:14Speaker 3: who defeated alcoholism and then was still struggling with it
- 2:19Speaker 3: behind the scenes. But he won like a Marconi as
- 2:23Speaker 3: far as one of the awards, one of the biggest
- 2:25Speaker 3: awards in the radio profession. And so I think a
- 2:28Speaker 3: lot of the listening audience in Indianapolis truly knew him
- 2:31Speaker 3: as someone who stood for something that he was still
- 2:35Speaker 3: struggling with. And I think that probably was a component
- 2:38Speaker 3: of a mental health struggle that continued.
- 2:40Speaker 4: I don't know what you want to say about that, Wayne. Oh, wait,
- 2:42Speaker 4: hold on. We can't hear you.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Make sure that you're not muted and stuff and that
- 2:45Speaker 3: everything's going okay. Because I see you talking, but I'm
- 2:49Speaker 3: not hearing you. And the 360 is up and on.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Let's make sure that's not a problem. And then the
- 2:54Speaker 3: headphones are up and on.
- 2:55Speaker 5: Go ahead.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Keep talking.
- 2:58Speaker 6: Nope.
- 2:58Speaker 4: We got nothing from Wayne. Wayne wanted to say something.
- 3:02Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Maybe it's your... Nope. Now I see. It's Wayne. All right.
- 3:08Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Because we're not seeing... I was hearing you literally off air.
- 3:12Speaker 3: that button hasn't been pressed on that microphone to mute it.
- 3:16Speaker 4: No, it's fine.
- 3:17Speaker 7: Okay. All right.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Uh, but let's take, let's take a break, um, right
- 3:21Speaker 3: away at the beginning of the show. Cause we need
- 3:22Speaker 3: to fix this. I literally could just hear Wayne two
- 3:25Speaker 3: seconds ago. Let me see if I can hear him
- 3:26Speaker 3: when I take out my headphones. Wayne, can I hear
- 3:28Speaker 3: you now? I can hear you now, but the, the
- 3:32Speaker 3: radio can't hear you. So it's actually not Wayne. This
- 3:34Speaker 3: is an us problem, not a Wayne problem this.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Time, which is good.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Um, so let me see why this isn't working. the
- 3:41Speaker 3: way that it's supposed to be working, and then we'll
- 3:43Speaker 3: get to it.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Let's take a break, though.
- 3:45Speaker 3: We'll come back and we'll fix this problem because I
- 3:47Speaker 3: think it's the audio interface we have in the studio.
- 3:49Speaker 4: We'll be right back on The Voice of Texas KSEV Radio.
- 3:53Speaker 6: The Voice of Texas KSEV.
- 3:59Speaker 8: Radio Don't miss the Three Amigos show Fridays at 4 p.m.
- 4:26Speaker 8: for your chance to get VIP treatment at the 42nd
- 4:29Speaker 8: Annual Wings Over Houston Air Show. The Amigos will give
- 4:32Speaker 8: away two family chalet four-packs and a pair of Eagle
- 4:34Speaker 8: Squadron tickets to three lucky listeners between October 2nd and
- 4:38Speaker 8: October 16th on AM700 KSCV.
- 4:42Speaker 9: What kind of home do you live in?
- 4:44Speaker 4: We live in a two-bedroom high-rise condo.
- 4:46Speaker 3: A three-bedroom family home in the suburbs.
- 4:49Speaker 10: A farmhouse on our family ranch passed down through generations.
- 4:54Speaker 9: It doesn't matter where you live or what kind of
- 4:57Speaker 9: home you have. You all have one thing in common.
- 5:00Speaker 9: Gina Hinojosa voted to increase your property taxes. Not once,
- 5:04Speaker 9: not twice, but 40 different times Gina Hinojosa voted to
- 5:09Speaker 9: raise your property taxes. If she has her way, you'll
- 5:12Speaker 9: be priced out of your own home. Gina Hinojosa is
- 5:16Speaker 9: too radical to be governor of Texas. Luckily, Governor Greg
- 5:20Speaker 9: Abbott has a better plan.
- 5:22Speaker 11: We have to stop the insanity and instead give you
- 5:27Speaker 11: a different property tax relief that will do more than
- 5:30Speaker 11: cut your property tax bill in half forever. You're going
- 5:33Speaker 11: to be able to live in your home for the
- 5:35Speaker 11: rest of your lives without being priced.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Out of it.
- 5:38Speaker 9: Greg Abbott, governor.
- 5:39Speaker 7: Political ad paid for by Texans for Greg Abbott.

- 6:39Speaker 13: Sabotage.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Sabotage.
- 6:40Speaker 4: No, I don't know what happened.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Uh, probably something just walked away that in studio.
- 6:46Speaker 4: It was the terrorists.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Uh, Wayne, we can hear you now. We had to
- 6:50Speaker 3: not use a device that we usually use.
- 6:52Speaker 7: Can we start over?
- 6:53Speaker 4: Yes, we can.
- 6:54Speaker 7: Yes.
- 6:55Speaker 14: You were talking about your buddy and I'm sorry about your,
- 6:57Speaker 14: your bud. And, and, uh, I, as you get older,
- 7:00Speaker 14: you know, a lot of folks that you know and
- 7:03Speaker 14: work with and respected and loved in different ways.
- 7:06Speaker 7: Um, go on.
- 7:10Speaker 14: The time I spent at Channel 13, we were really family.
- 7:18Speaker 14: Every business, people become buds with the people they work with.
- 7:22Speaker 14: It just is what it is. Every time someone from
- 7:27Speaker 14: Channel 13 passes, it's really just like a relative that dies.
- 7:32Speaker 14: I had a friend, Trent Siebert. I don't know if
- 7:35Speaker 14: People remember him or not, and I hope they do.
- 7:37Speaker 14: He ran the Texas Watchdog. I used him a lot.
- 7:43Speaker 14: He commented a lot on stuff I did. You know,
- 7:47Speaker 14: one of the things that's– but he struggled with alcoholism, and,
- 7:51Speaker 14: in fact, he killed him.
- 7:52Speaker 7: The alcoholism killed him.
- 7:55Speaker 14: And he was such a talented, aggressive– he was a watchdog.
- 8:03Speaker 14: In my world, there are so few real watchdog journalists left.
- 8:08Speaker 7: Muckrakers, call us what you want. I don't care. I
- 8:11Speaker 7: like muckraker. I think muckraker is a good term.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I like that too.
- 8:16Speaker 14: People say, you're a muckraker. I'm going, okay, yeah, sure.
- 8:19Speaker 14: I'll accept that title. But he really, and I didn't
- 8:25Speaker 14: even know he struggled because we weren't that kind of friends, right?
- 8:31Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 8:31Speaker 14: We would respect a guy, a guy that was credible,
- 8:35Speaker 14: that also had some huevos concheros, would say things.
- 8:40Speaker 7: Sure. Because there's a lot of.
- 8:42Speaker 14: I knew him so much, and this is what I
- 8:44Speaker 14: was thinking about as I was talking about this. So
- 8:48Speaker 14: many people in my business... want me to do things,
- 8:52Speaker 14: but don't want to like, they want me to hold
- 8:55Speaker 14: the gun essentially.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Right.
- 8:57Speaker 7: Which is fine.
- 8:57Speaker 5: Right.
- 8:58Speaker 14: I do that. I'm totally happy to do that. If
- 9:00Speaker 14: someone's a scum dog, I don't, what do I care? But,
- 9:03Speaker 14: but there's so many people and big people and important people.
- 9:07Speaker 7: Who want me to do things.
- 9:10Speaker 14: And then when I say, okay, um, I need someone,
- 9:14Speaker 14: we call them bitchers in our business.
- 9:16Speaker 8: Right.
- 9:16Speaker 7: I need someone to, that's going to bitch about it. Yeah.
- 9:20Speaker 8: Right.
- 9:21Speaker 14: And so many people don't want to don't want to
- 9:25Speaker 14: stick their necks out.
- 9:26Speaker 7: Right. You know, I got mortgage. I got kids. I
- 9:28Speaker 7: got this. And I get it.
- 9:29Speaker 10: Right.
- 9:30Speaker 7: Because a lot of.
- 9:31Speaker 14: Times we do stuff and then we go away and
- 9:34Speaker 14: then they're stuck with whatever is going on.
- 9:37Speaker 4: I'm still here. Keep going. I know you look really good.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Thank you, buddy. Thank you. Thank you.
- 9:42Speaker 7: I for a week for for a minute. I thought
- 9:44Speaker 7: it was me.
- 9:45Speaker 11: No, no.
- 9:45Speaker 3: It's it's it's some technology we have in the studio
- 9:48Speaker 3: that I drank too much.
- 9:49Speaker 4: No, it's fine. Keep going.
- 9:51Speaker 14: But it's just one of those interesting things in my business.
- 9:55Speaker 14: There's so many people that want you to do stuff
- 9:57Speaker 14: and they don't want to stick their necks out.
- 9:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:01Speaker 14: And I'm talking about pretty big, powerful people. I mean, like,
- 10:05Speaker 14: I don't care, right? I'll do it. Hey, by the way,
- 10:09Speaker 14: not to change the subject, because I know we started
- 10:11Speaker 14: the show off. What was your friend's name again?
- 10:13Speaker 4: Matt Bear.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Matt Bear is my friend's name. And his celebration of
- 10:17Speaker 3: life is tomorrow in Indianapolis. And the radio station he
- 10:19Speaker 3: worked at, they're involved in it because the family wants
- 10:22Speaker 3: them involved in it.
- 10:23Speaker 4: And the outpouring of support has been, because it's fine.
- 10:26Speaker 3: The one last thing I want to say, Matt was
- 10:29Speaker 3: a traffic guy there, but he was so funny that
- 10:31Speaker 3: so many shows, including me, whenever I filled in on
- 10:33Speaker 3: the morning show there would just use him.
- 10:35Speaker 4: You just talk to him and it became kind of
- 10:37Speaker 4: like this.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Like he kind of co-hosted shows, especially when I was there,
- 10:40Speaker 3: they said I would just, Bring him in every single
- 10:42Speaker 3: segment because I thought he was too fun to leave
- 10:45Speaker 3: off a microphone. And he would have doubted his impact
- 10:48Speaker 3: in this industry. He would have thought, I'm just the
- 10:50Speaker 3: traffic guy. Nobody cares.
- 10:52Speaker 4: The outpouring of support about.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Him and to his family and the likelihood that this
- 10:56Speaker 3: will be a very heavily attended event this evening is
- 11:00Speaker 3: something that I think would really move him if he
- 11:02Speaker 3: was around.
- 11:02Speaker 10: Oh, sure.
- 11:03Speaker 14: Look, I think a lot of people would like to
- 11:07Speaker 14: be able to.
- 11:08Speaker 7: To see. Sure.
- 11:09Speaker 14: I wouldn't mind getting a chair in the back of
- 11:12Speaker 14: the event.
- 11:13Speaker 15: Of your event?
- 11:14Speaker 4: I don't know if I'd want that.
- 11:16Speaker 7: No, because there's going to be a whole different, diverse
- 11:18Speaker 7: group of people.
- 11:19Speaker 14: There are going to be the Wayne haters, the people
- 11:21Speaker 14: I've investigated who will celebrate my life.
- 11:23Speaker 7: Did I ever tell you my Bell's palsy story?
- 11:25Speaker 2: No.
- 11:26Speaker 7: Real quick?
- 11:26Speaker 4: No, go ahead.
- 11:27Speaker 7: Do I have a minute?
- 11:28Speaker 4: We have a ton of time because we broke so early.
- 11:29Speaker 7: All right.
- 11:30Speaker 14: So I was in TV, and this was sort of
- 11:33Speaker 14: the height of TV, and I got Bell's palsy.
- 11:35Speaker 7: Everyone knows I have MS.
- 11:37Speaker 13: I've had it.
- 11:37Speaker 14: 28 years. I have the good kind, if there is
- 11:40Speaker 14: a good kind. Makes you feel like crap, but you're
- 11:43Speaker 14: not going to be totally falling apart. But I got
- 11:48Speaker 14: Bell's palsy. So literally, my face was like this. I
- 11:54Speaker 14: looked like Shrek. I mean, I was like stuff coming
- 11:57Speaker 14: out of my mouth. And it was the first night
- 11:59Speaker 14: of sweeps. And it was a Thursday night. first night
- 12:03Speaker 14: of ratings for TV, and I had to go on
- 12:07Speaker 14: because I was always the lead-off guy and the clean-up guy, right?
- 12:12Speaker 7: I batted twice a lot of times. And so I.
- 12:17Speaker 14: Had to go on, and just like this, man, I've
- 12:20Speaker 14: even had surgery on my eye. Let me take my
- 12:23Speaker 14: glasses off so you can see how pretty I am.
- 12:25Speaker 14: I even had surgery to lift my eyelid.
- 12:27Speaker 4: It's still weak.
- 12:29Speaker 14: I'm like sort of a Ken Paxton wannabe, right, of
- 12:31Speaker 14: a weak eye.
- 12:33Speaker 7: But anyway, I had to go on. And that night,
- 12:38Speaker 7: a lot of people emailed.
- 12:40Speaker 14: They thought I had a stroke, like on the air,
- 12:42Speaker 14: because I literally looked like Shrek. But then there was probably,
- 12:48Speaker 14: I don't know, 15, 20, 25 people that texted or
- 12:51Speaker 14: emailed and said, I'm glad you got a disease.
- 12:58Speaker 7: Wow. I'm hoping you die.
- 13:00Speaker 4: Wow.
- 13:01Speaker 7: So.
- 13:02Speaker 14: You know, sometimes it bothers me, like personally, that people
- 13:07Speaker 14: don't like me.
- 13:08Speaker 7: It doesn't bother me that much, but you know what
- 13:10Speaker 7: I mean.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Sure, it can get under your skin every so often.
- 13:12Speaker 7: For a second or two, right?
- 13:14Speaker 14: Yeah, I got you. But the number of people... Look,
- 13:18Speaker 14: I'm one of those guys that you either really like
- 13:21Speaker 14: me or you really hate me. There aren't many people
- 13:25Speaker 14: that I meet that are neutral. Now, they may not go, oh,
- 13:29Speaker 14: it's Wade Ultrafino, right?
- 13:30Speaker 7: But.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Sure.
- 13:32Speaker 14: I've even met an appeals court judge recently at an event.
- 13:36Speaker 14: I don't go to events very much, but I went
- 13:38Speaker 14: to something. I didn't know what it was because I'm old.
- 13:40Speaker 14: But I met an appeals court judge, and you could
- 13:46Speaker 14: tell that she was like a believer, right? A believer
- 13:49Speaker 14: in fighting for stuff. And I meet people like that
- 13:53Speaker 14: all the time. And I will tell you that it's
- 13:57Speaker 14: really kind of great that my company has been able
- 13:59Speaker 14: to do what we've been able to do because– I
- 14:02Speaker 14: interact now. There are still people that see me and go,
- 14:05Speaker 14: how was your retirement? How do you enjoy retirement? I'm going, retirement?
- 14:09Speaker 4: I'm not retired yet.
- 14:10Speaker 7: I'm not only not retired.
- 14:11Speaker 14: I work harder now than I ever did. I work
- 14:14Speaker 14: every single day and every single evening. We get calls.
- 14:18Speaker 14: I get calls from clients. I have stalker clients. I
- 14:22Speaker 14: have people that just call me all the time. And
- 14:24Speaker 14: I have clients who hire me and then don't even
- 14:27Speaker 14: want to know me. They want to hand me cash
- 14:29Speaker 14: behind a dumpster.
- 14:30Speaker 5: Right.
- 14:30Speaker 14: So it doesn't get back to them. Uh, but I, I, it's,
- 14:35Speaker 14: it's re it was, it was a really bad event.
- 14:38Speaker 14: I actually used magnets. I know we talk about weird crap.
- 14:41Speaker 7: That's okay.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Yeah, that's good.
- 14:42Speaker 14: But I, I actually met a lady who actually somebody
- 14:46Speaker 14: who emailed said, Hey, I'm into magnet therapy and you
- 14:49Speaker 14: should try these magnets.
- 14:51Speaker 7: And I was going like, really?
- 14:52Speaker 14: But she brought them over. She didn't even like make
- 14:54Speaker 14: me pay for it.
- 14:55Speaker 8: Wow.
- 14:56Speaker 14: Brought them over as a, you know, whatever you're a
- 14:58Speaker 14: TV guy. And, and I, I did it. They were
- 15:01Speaker 14: Nikon magnets. And I don't know whether or not what
- 15:04Speaker 14: the science is, whether they really work or not.
- 15:06Speaker 7: I don't know. A late chick told me to put
- 15:08Speaker 7: magnets on my face, and I put magnets on my face.
- 15:10Speaker 4: Was she attractive, by the way? I'm just curious.
- 15:14Speaker 7: No. I'm pretty flexible about women.
- 15:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I got you. I got you.
- 15:18Speaker 7: I was always known as a flexible guy. Okay. But
- 15:20Speaker 7: because I liked all kinds of women for all kinds
- 15:22Speaker 7: of reasons.
- 15:23Speaker 1: I do.
- 15:24Speaker 7: I'm a flexible guy.
- 15:25Speaker 4: We're learning a lot about you right now.
- 15:27Speaker 7: I was a percentage guy. You know what a percentage
- 15:29Speaker 7: guy is?
- 15:30Speaker 4: I get it.
- 15:30Speaker 7: Yes.
- 15:31Speaker 4: You bat for a high percentage.
- 15:32Speaker 3: I think the way that I'd say it is you're
- 15:35Speaker 3: a high average hitter.
- 15:37Speaker 9: No, no.
- 15:37Speaker 7: I didn't mean about my batting average.
- 15:39Speaker 14: I meant the fact that my theory that, you know,
- 15:44Speaker 14: I was never afraid to walk up to a woman
- 15:47Speaker 14: and get rejected. Well, I never did, but I mean,
- 15:50Speaker 14: I don't really know.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Well, then high batting average is what I'm saying.
- 15:53Speaker 14: No, but I was never afraid to do it because
- 15:58Speaker 14: there is a percentage. If you, like, tell ten women
- 16:02Speaker 14: you like them, there's one or two.
- 16:03Speaker 4: Somebody's going to say yes.
- 16:04Speaker 7: Somebody's going to say yes.
- 16:05Speaker 3: You miss all the shots you don't take is the
- 16:07Speaker 3: way the young kids say it now.
- 16:08Speaker 14: Yeah, and when I'm dead, I'm sure there will be
- 16:10Speaker 14: clips played at this moment.
- 16:14Speaker 7: Because I don't care. You know what? The beauty of
- 16:16Speaker 7: me is I don't give. Hey, darn.
- 16:19Speaker 4: That is absolutely true. I'm going to go ahead and
- 16:21Speaker 4: echo that.
- 16:22Speaker 3: I've only known you a few weeks, and one of
- 16:24Speaker 3: the most fun things about you is you don't give
- 16:27Speaker 3: a crap.
- 16:27Speaker 7: I don't.
- 16:30Speaker 4: It's amazing.
- 16:30Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Has that just been a whole life thing for you,
- 16:33Speaker 3: by the way? We can turn this into an interview
- 16:34Speaker 3: about you, but I am.
- 16:35Speaker 7: Curious about that. Yeah, it really has been.
- 16:38Speaker 10: Okay.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Because it's amazing.
- 16:40Speaker 14: I don't like sacred cows. When someone asks me to
- 16:44Speaker 14: investigate something, I investigate it. I don't care if they're
- 16:47Speaker 14: a Democrat or Republican. It doesn't matter to me. I'm
- 16:51Speaker 14: not a homer in that regard.
- 16:53Speaker 4: That's amazing.
- 16:54Speaker 14: And it's got me in a lot of trouble over
- 16:58Speaker 14: the years, right, because when you press the envelope, you know.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:02Speaker 4: Oh, of course.
- 17:03Speaker 7: Crap happens.
- 17:03Speaker 4: 100%.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Whenever you do anything that other people would be too
- 17:07Speaker 3: afraid to do, I think you get in trouble occasionally.
- 17:11Speaker 7: You know what?
- 17:11Speaker 14: Since I'm sharing this morning and we haven't really discussed anything.
- 17:15Speaker 7: We're going to discuss.
- 17:16Speaker 4: No, we haven't.
- 17:16Speaker 7: We're just, you know.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Winging it.
- 17:18Speaker 7: Hanging out. I would call this winging it. This is. Um,
- 17:22Speaker 7: this is, you know, sure. We're doing this on purpose. Yes.
- 17:25Speaker 14: Uh, but I, I don't know if you know this
- 17:27Speaker 14: cause you don't only know me a couple of weeks,
- 17:29Speaker 14: but about 30, 40 years ago, I was arrested for
- 17:33Speaker 14: the only person I believe that's ever been arrested for groping.
- 17:37Speaker 7: It's a class C misdemeanor.
- 17:38Speaker 4: No, I didn't know this.
- 17:40Speaker 7: Yeah, no, it's in, look, look it up. Google it. Okay.
- 17:44Speaker 14: And so I met, this is going to give you a,
- 17:47Speaker 14: a window into my younger years.
- 17:49Speaker 8: Sure.
- 17:50Speaker 7: Okay.
- 17:51Speaker 14: Um, And I'm sure there's someone who said something about me.
- 17:55Speaker 7: I was a party guy.
- 17:56Speaker 14: I fully enjoyed TV fame, whatever that was.
- 18:01Speaker 12: Oh, yeah.
- 18:01Speaker 14: I really enjoyed going out and hanging out at night.
- 18:04Speaker 14: And I was arrested for groping. I met a woman
- 18:09Speaker 14: in a bar at 1.56 in the morning, I think
- 18:12Speaker 14: it was.
- 18:13Speaker 7: Okay? Okay. And I proceeded.
- 18:18Speaker 14: She wanted me to take her home, and I said,
- 18:20Speaker 14: where do you live? And I lived in Montrose at
- 18:22Speaker 14: the time. And she says, I live in Pearland or something.
- 18:26Speaker 7: And I said, Pearland? I said, I'm not taking.
- 18:29Speaker 14: You all the way to Pearland. That's not going to happen.
- 18:33Speaker 14: But you come over to my house, right? So I
- 18:35Speaker 14: only knew this girl about 15, 20 minutes. And she
- 18:38Speaker 14: came to my house, and we were hanging out and whatever,
- 18:41Speaker 14: messing around.
- 18:42Speaker 7: But she started getting crazier.
- 18:44Speaker 14: And I started realizing, even though I probably– was a
- 18:48Speaker 14: little buzzed.
- 18:50Speaker 7: I started realizing she was nuts. So at some point,
- 18:53Speaker 7: I told her, look, I need to get to bed.
- 18:56Speaker 7: You got to go. You got to go. I'll get
- 18:57Speaker 7: you an Uber or whatever. Do what you want to do.
- 18:59Speaker 14: Anyway, she leaves at about 4.30 in the morning. Knock
- 19:04Speaker 14: on the door, and I open the door, and the
- 19:06Speaker 14: Houston cops are standing there. And it's a cop that
- 19:10Speaker 14: was also involved in an arrest of mine that was,
- 19:15Speaker 14: you could tell, she must have either known the guy
- 19:18Speaker 14: or he's just the guy in the.
- 19:19Speaker 10: Hood or whatever.
- 19:21Speaker 14: So they arrested me for Class C misdemeanor, the lowest
- 19:27Speaker 14: form of crime, for the crime of offensive contact. Well,
- 19:31Speaker 14: the next day, her people got a hold of my lawyer,
- 19:36Speaker 14: who was Ron Wilson, state representative. And they said, if
- 19:40Speaker 14: you don't pay us $ 10, 000, we're going to.
- 19:43Speaker 8: Wow.
- 19:44Speaker 4: That's crazy. So you got extorted over a groping claim.
- 19:48Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm sure she's a lovely woman. I have no idea.
- 19:51Speaker 14: But I didn't even really remember her name. But I
- 19:55Speaker 14: saw it in the newspaper. Because, of course, back then,
- 19:57Speaker 14: the newspaper, I got.
- 19:59Speaker 7: Arrested for something or got in trouble for something. It
- 20:01Speaker 7: was all over. It's fine. The kids can read it.
- 20:05Speaker 7: It's great. They can read about Grandpa down the road.
- 20:09Speaker 4: It's actually harder to find than you'll think. I did
- 20:12Speaker 4: find it.
- 20:12Speaker 7: It's a Houston press. Yeah, I did.
- 20:14Speaker 3: I found it, but it took a few clicks, so
- 20:16Speaker 3: it wouldn't be that easy.
- 20:18Speaker 14: There's a whole series of personal things, right, along the way.
- 20:24Speaker 14: But that was one of them. And it turned out
- 20:28Speaker 14: that she had been in a mental institution twice.
- 20:31Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 20:32Speaker 7: I didn't know this at the time.
- 20:34Speaker 13: Of course.
- 20:34Speaker 7: These are things you should probably ask first.
- 20:37Speaker 8: Yes.
- 20:37Speaker 14: You should probably say, hi, before I take you home,
- 20:41Speaker 14: are you a nut?
- 20:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:43Speaker 7: I think it's a fair question to any person.
- 20:47Speaker 4: I think it's a good one.
- 20:48Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 20:48Speaker 3: I don't know if they'll answer it. I don't know
- 20:50Speaker 3: if they'll answer it honestly. But after this story, I
- 20:52Speaker 3: think it makes sense.
- 20:53Speaker 7: No, but.
- 20:55Speaker 14: As it turned out, the case was dismissed pretty quickly
- 21:01Speaker 14: by the city. OK, but the damage is done in
- 21:04Speaker 14: those things.
- 21:04Speaker 7: Right.
- 21:05Speaker 16: Of course.
- 21:06Speaker 14: And I understand people who that's why I also help
- 21:09Speaker 14: people whose reputation sometimes needs.
- 21:12Speaker 4: To be changed.
- 21:14Speaker 3: Do you at all think I don't know, because it's
- 21:17Speaker 3: interesting that you're opening up about this and I did
- 21:19Speaker 3: not have this at all.
- 21:20Speaker 4: I know.
- 21:21Speaker 7: I know. Everything about me has been in the newspaper.
- 21:23Speaker 4: It's amazing. But I will say this.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Do you in some part of your mind think when
- 21:28Speaker 3: this kind of stuff has happened to you that you're
- 21:29Speaker 3: obviously like it's the Trump thing?
- 21:31Speaker 4: You feel like you're over the target.
- 21:33Speaker 3: When you start to get really attacked in ways that
- 21:36Speaker 3: don't even necessarily seem to be going after anything other
- 21:40Speaker 3: than destroying your character, that feels like you're.
- 21:44Speaker 4: Definitely doing a good job.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Which, I'll say this, it kind of sucks, the idea
- 21:48Speaker 3: of that, that if I were to reach a level
- 21:51Speaker 3: of Wayne Dolcefino status, where I'm doing enough good in
- 21:54Speaker 3: enough places and getting enough people to pay attention, I'm
- 21:58Speaker 3: likely to have someone go after me the same way
- 21:59Speaker 3: they've gone after you or Trump or anybody else, Like,
- 22:02Speaker 3: it sucks as a lesson to the world that the
- 22:05Speaker 3: people who rise up to that level probably will be
- 22:07Speaker 3: the most torn down.
- 22:09Speaker 14: Yeah, and I, look, I think the, look, I get it,
- 22:12Speaker 14: because I have been attacked in many ways, right? I
- 22:16Speaker 14: get it. And I'm a controversial guy, whatever. By the way,
- 22:19Speaker 14: you said I had a Skelly back there.
- 22:20Speaker 4: Hey, Skelly.
- 22:21Speaker 7: Yeah. Don Corleone ordered a hit on.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Him about 10 years ago.
- 22:25Speaker 7: I see that.
- 22:25Speaker 4: It didn't work out.
- 22:26Speaker 7: And he's dead. And now he's just laying there on
- 22:28Speaker 7: my couch.
- 22:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:30Speaker 7: Skelly.
- 22:31Speaker 14: But, I understand when people are attacked. And I was
- 22:36Speaker 14: watching CNN last night. I don't know why I watch
- 22:39Speaker 14: CNN at night.
- 22:41Speaker 4: It sounds like you do a lot.
- 22:41Speaker 7: I like the Abby Phillips show.
- 22:43Speaker 14: I just enjoy their– I enjoy not what they say
- 22:49Speaker 14: but just that there's content. I like content, right? Um,
- 22:54Speaker 14: and I, you know, I watch Newsmax and I, I'll
- 22:56Speaker 14: watch Fox occasionally.
- 22:57Speaker 3: Do you like Scott Jennings a lot on that show?
- 22:59Speaker 3: Cause that's the thing I like the most about that show.
- 23:02Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 23:02Speaker 14: In fact, when he's not on, I'm kind of going,
- 23:04Speaker 14: Oh crap. They got some, you know, they got that
- 23:07Speaker 14: young left wing guy on there.
- 23:08Speaker 7: I forget his name.
- 23:10Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 23:10Speaker 7: He's like a young guy, but he is the most
- 23:12Speaker 7: annoying human being.
- 23:13Speaker 14: And I, and I must say, and I think you
- 23:18Speaker 14: understand what I'm going to say. I, I've never taken
- 23:22Speaker 14: these things personally, really, even though I know I've been
- 23:25Speaker 14: set up or someone's watching me or whatever. I don't
- 23:29Speaker 14: take things personally. It's business to me. It always was.
- 23:33Speaker 14: I didn't care who you were or whatever. But it
- 23:38Speaker 14: is unfortunate that we now have a media sphere, whatever
- 23:43Speaker 14: this is. I was watching weird stuff on Facebook last night.
- 23:50Speaker 14: Whatever we're becoming is just really weird.
- 23:55Speaker 7: Yes.
- 23:55Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 23:56Speaker 3: There's no checks and balances to it at all. There's
- 23:58Speaker 3: so much stuff out there. It's hard to parse out
- 24:01Speaker 3: what's true and false. There's so many reasons.
- 24:04Speaker 7: I can't.
- 24:05Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 24:05Speaker 4: The thing we're doing is weird.
- 24:06Speaker 14: I can't figure it out, and I just don't know
- 24:09Speaker 14: where the future of that is.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:11Speaker 4: No, I don't know either.
- 24:12Speaker 3: By the way, you mentioned Jennings a couple times there.
- 24:14Speaker 3: He did an interview with Brandon Gill yesterday. on Scott's show.
- 24:19Speaker 3: And there is a piece of audio that I thought's
- 24:20Speaker 3: pretty interesting about mainstream versus extremism versus extremism.
- 24:25Speaker 4: So we can play that when we come back.
- 24:27Speaker 3: But I will just say this to try to close
- 24:29Speaker 3: because I know we got like a minute and then
- 24:31Speaker 3: we actually have to take a break to close my
- 24:34Speaker 3: thoughts on this topic we're discussing is I can't fathom
- 24:38Speaker 3: the pressure that's also on guys like you or in
- 24:40Speaker 3: the case of my friend in just one way in
- 24:42Speaker 3: his life, pressure that was on him because of the
- 24:45Speaker 3: podcast he did and the success it had.
- 24:48Speaker 4: To always be perfect.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Because when you start to have those super intense looking
- 24:53Speaker 3: into you or maybe exaggerating the weaknesses that we all
- 24:58Speaker 3: have as human beings, whatever that is, what he struggled
- 25:02Speaker 3: with in his life, the fact that the back of
- 25:04Speaker 3: his brain would be thinking he would have been so
- 25:06Speaker 3: professionally embarrassed had that come out before the tragic passing away.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Because I did talk to him about emotional and mental
- 25:15Speaker 3: health a lot. We'd talk on the phone even though
- 25:17Speaker 3: we barely ever were in the same place often. Um,
- 25:21Speaker 3: and I, I just keep thinking, I can't fathom the
- 25:23Speaker 3: pressure on you guys and the difficulty of that, of
- 25:26Speaker 3: being known for something and then having that be a
- 25:29Speaker 3: big part of when people try to tear you down.
- 25:32Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 25:33Speaker 7: You gotta be a duck.
- 25:34Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 25:34Speaker 7: You gotta let it roll off your feathers.
- 25:35Speaker 4: I get it.
- 25:36Speaker 7: That's all, all I could look.
- 25:38Speaker 14: Do I enjoy when I used to wake up and
- 25:40Speaker 14: I'd see myself on the front page and some, you know, whatever.
- 25:44Speaker 7: Um, no, everybody hates that, but I sort of, I
- 25:48Speaker 7: sort of learned that you move on and move on.
- 25:50Speaker 7: At least I do. And I'm sort of at the
- 25:53Speaker 7: point in life where I say, you know what? It
- 25:56Speaker 7: is what it is.
- 25:57Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 25:57Speaker 13: Amen.
- 25:58Speaker 7: I've done what I've done. If you don't like it, go,
- 26:01Speaker 7: you know what?
- 26:02Speaker 16: All right.
- 26:03Speaker 4: We've got to take a break. More coming up in
- 26:04Speaker 4: a bit. This is KCV Mornings, The Voice of Texas.

- 26:34Speaker 8: your roof, right then and there.
- 26:36Speaker 13: The Tejas Roofing crew has been working together fixing leaky
- 26:38Speaker 13: roofs for 15 years.
- 26:40Speaker 4: It's not a pretty truck, but it has everything we
- 26:42Speaker 4: need to get the job done.
- 26:43Speaker 10: I kind of like the way it looks.
- 26:45Speaker 13: Most roofing repairs cost less than $ 500.
- 26:48Speaker 5: Why?
- 26:48Speaker 13: Because we find the cause of the leak and repair
- 26:51Speaker 13: that leak. We won't try to sell you services you

- 26:57Speaker 13: Don't put off fixing a leaky roof. Call me at

- 27:10Speaker 13: That's Tejas Roofing, 281-251-0304.

- 27:48Speaker 1: Do you need money? Want to lower your monthly debt?
- 27:51Speaker 1: Are you thinking about a cash-out refinance? Hi, it's Kathy
- 27:54Speaker 1: from Baker Mortgage. A cash-out refinance can get you back
- 27:58Speaker 1: in your comfort zone, and that's.
- 28:00Speaker 4: What it's all about.
- 28:01Speaker 1: A recent client who closed with us had his payment
- 28:03Speaker 1: go up about $ 300, but his monthly outgo was being
- 28:08Speaker 1: reduced by $ 1, 200, so giving him a net positive cash
- 28:11Speaker 1: flow of $ 900. It's not about adding debt, but restructuring
- 28:16Speaker 1: it in a way that makes sense. And this math
- 28:18Speaker 1: totally makes sense. And please don't sweat it if your
- 28:21Speaker 1: interest rate is going up a little or if you're
- 28:24Speaker 1: extending the term. I can show you by taking a
- 28:27Speaker 1: small amount of what you're saving monthly and applying it
- 28:29Speaker 1: towards your mortgage, you're going to pay it off just
- 28:32Speaker 1: as quickly and you'll be way ahead in the money game,
- 28:35Speaker 1: which is where we all want to be, right? Remember,
- 28:37Speaker 1: we want to help you. But we're not going to

- 29:02Speaker 5: on AM700 KSCV.
- 29:20Speaker 7: AM 700. And I am Wayne Dolcefino.
- 29:24Speaker 14: The other guy is Craig Collins, the former Craig Collins.
- 29:29Speaker 4: That's true.
- 29:30Speaker 14: But he had to change his name. He's in the
- 29:32Speaker 14: Witness Protection Program.
- 29:34Speaker 7: Should we put your address? Should we give them your address?
- 29:37Speaker 4: So, by the way, real quick, I know this isn't
- 29:38Speaker 4: the point. We're going to get to something. more important.
- 29:40Speaker 3: I got a text message from my uncle, who's a retired,
- 29:44Speaker 3: very high-ranking Marine. And he was like, he's actually my
- 29:48Speaker 3: cousin Vinny's dad.
- 29:49Speaker 5: Of course.
- 29:50Speaker 3: And he was like, hey, real happy, whole family, that
- 29:54Speaker 3: you're going by colonies now. And it almost sounded intimidating
- 29:57Speaker 3: because he's such an intimidating guy.
- 29:59Speaker 4: He's my uncle.
- 30:00Speaker 3: He's very kind, but he's the kind of guy who
- 30:02Speaker 3: was in the helicopter with the terrorists at one point
- 30:04Speaker 3: in his career. And he's like, we're real happy about this.
- 30:07Speaker 3: It almost sounded mob guy-esque, like, don't change it again.
- 30:10Speaker 4: We're happy.
- 30:11Speaker 7: You know what?
- 30:13Speaker 14: Before we get to the substance of the day, I
- 30:14Speaker 14: know we've been talking for like 30 minutes or something.
- 30:19Speaker 14: Last night, one of the things I was doing on
- 30:21Speaker 14: Facebook is I love phones. in a weird way, even
- 30:25Speaker 14: though people don't like being tracked. I sort of, like,
- 30:29Speaker 14: all I have on my feed now, besides for beautiful women,
- 30:33Speaker 14: which I just.
- 30:34Speaker 7: Like beautiful women.
- 30:35Speaker 8: How dare you?
- 30:37Speaker 6: I know.
- 30:37Speaker 7: I'm such a horrible heterophile.
- 30:39Speaker 4: You're a weird dude, yeah.
- 30:40Speaker 7: I'm just like a normal guy. I like women. Shoot me.
- 30:44Speaker 14: But I get a lot of stuff from the Godfather movie.
- 30:51Speaker 14: So I was watching clips, you know, Luca Brazzi sleeps
- 30:54Speaker 14: with the fishes last night.
- 30:55Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 30:55Speaker 14: And I was thinking to myself, I have a real
- 30:58Speaker 14: strong identity with that kind of stuff. Like I have
- 31:03Speaker 14: Don Corleone up here. If you go in my bathroom
- 31:06Speaker 14: over here, you'll see Don Corleone. Also another poster of
- 31:11Speaker 14: Don Corleone. I have a cannoli sign. I should play.
- 31:15Speaker 14: I should show it to you sometime.
- 31:16Speaker 13: Sure.
- 31:16Speaker 7: Cannoli sign.
- 31:18Speaker 14: You know, with cannoli in the pistol out at the
- 31:20Speaker 14: front door of my office.
- 31:21Speaker 4: Leave the gun, take the cannoli.
- 31:23Speaker 7: Do you believe in other lives?
- 31:27Speaker 4: No, I don't believe in. I believe in.
- 31:29Speaker 3: This is a really weird question to ask you, Wayne. No,
- 31:32Speaker 3: it's because I'm going to say a strange thing. I
- 31:34Speaker 3: believe in alternate timelines. Like, I believe in that thing
- 31:37Speaker 3: you see in the movies where, like, this is happening,
- 31:41Speaker 3: but it's a little bit different.
- 31:43Speaker 4: Somewhere else, like in alternate time.
- 31:45Speaker 14: Well, that was a good explanation of whatever that was.
- 31:47Speaker 3: No, it means like there's– it's like a rubber band
- 31:52Speaker 3: wrapped of things that are all a similar but somewhat
- 31:55Speaker 3: different version of what we're experiencing.
- 31:57Speaker 4: I think there's a reality to that.
- 31:59Speaker 14: We should talk about something else because you obviously have
- 32:02Speaker 14: some sort of mental disorder that I think we really.
- 32:07Speaker 3: It's very similar to other lives I think it's very similar.
- 32:10Speaker 14: I don't know the point of I get it like
- 32:13Speaker 14: a man and a woman have sex they have a
- 32:14Speaker 14: baby right it's not going to be me when I'm
- 32:16Speaker 14: gone but I I just feel I just feel a
- 32:19Speaker 14: connection to a time and a place like I was
- 32:23Speaker 14: looking at the celebrations in Little Italy on I think
- 32:27Speaker 14: it was Godfather 2 I was watching that clip you
- 32:29Speaker 14: know when he shot I think the guy was Fenucci
- 32:32Speaker 14: or something Don Corleone the first guy he whacked Don
- 32:35Speaker 14: was this Fenucci guy who was hitting him up for money.
- 32:39Speaker 7: But I was seeing this scene in Little Italy.
- 32:42Speaker 14: When I go to Little Italy, obviously it's not what
- 32:46Speaker 14: it was when I was in New York, but it's
- 32:48Speaker 14: still there. I just feel a real connection that I
- 32:53Speaker 14: don't feel. It's sort of like I feel connections in
- 32:56Speaker 14: churches that I never felt in a synagogue before. when
- 33:01Speaker 14: I was going there as a young guy going to Beth.
- 33:05Speaker 7: Israel in Maryland.
- 33:06Speaker 3: In your brain, what you're experiencing might be an alternate
- 33:10Speaker 3: life that you're remembering, sort of.
- 33:12Speaker 4: Is that kind of what you're saying?
- 33:13Speaker 7: Yeah, and I could have been a mob guy.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Here's what's funny about what you're saying.
- 33:17Speaker 3: It's very similar to what I think, and it's quantum
- 33:20Speaker 3: mechanics actually demonstrates the viability of the idea that there's
- 33:23Speaker 3: multiple timelines that all.
- 33:25Speaker 4: Happen at the same time.
- 33:25Speaker 7: You're talking like an engineer. It's real.
- 33:29Speaker 3: I'm going to send you a science, I think it's
- 33:31Speaker 3: like science.com, but a science article about it.
- 33:35Speaker 4: And then you're going to throw it in the trash.
- 33:36Speaker 7: So some other idiot would say the same thing. I
- 33:38Speaker 7: get it. That's fine. But I just I just it's
- 33:42Speaker 7: just weird.
- 33:43Speaker 4: It's like deja vu.
- 33:44Speaker 3: A good way to describe it is it's sort of
- 33:46Speaker 3: like there's times where you get this feeling that feels
- 33:47Speaker 3: almost similar to I've done this before.
- 33:49Speaker 4: I've experienced this before.
- 33:50Speaker 14: And I don't know whether that's just you being like
- 33:53Speaker 14: mentally like me being mentally ill.
- 33:55Speaker 13: Right.
- 33:55Speaker 7: Because we're all on some spectrum. Apparently we are. And
- 33:58Speaker 7: now all we do is diagnose each other.
- 34:00Speaker 4: Sure.
- 34:01Speaker 10: Right.
- 34:01Speaker 7: I mean, that's the problem. Right.
- 34:03Speaker 14: We somewhere I think psychology is the problem. I think
- 34:07Speaker 14: we have too many people that are psychologists. I think
- 34:09Speaker 14: we should get rid of them all.
- 34:10Speaker 3: I'm so tempted to explain this more, and it's only
- 34:12Speaker 3: going to dig the hole deeper. But there's scientific demonstrations
- 34:16Speaker 3: of quantum mechanics.
- 34:17Speaker 4: Do you know what that is?
- 34:18Speaker 13: Really?
- 34:19Speaker 14: I could barely plug in a headphone here.
- 34:22Speaker 3: So it shows that if you can connect a couple things,
- 34:26Speaker 3: like particles, from a great distance, they'll move as if
- 34:29Speaker 3: they're next to each other. It seems like they're communicating,
- 34:32Speaker 3: but they're so far apart. that it's scientifically impossible. We've
- 34:36Speaker 3: demonstrated this, and we don't know why it happens, that
- 34:39Speaker 3: once these two particles are paired, the amount of place,
- 34:42Speaker 3: and we think that it can help us communicate. We
- 34:44Speaker 3: think that it can help us communicate over a vast
- 34:47Speaker 3: distance using quantum mechanics, but that part has been shown,
- 34:51Speaker 3: and then people have theories as to why it works,
- 34:53Speaker 3: why when you pair two particles and then separate them
- 34:56Speaker 3: at a great distance, they can still seemingly communicate in
- 34:59Speaker 3: a way they shouldn't. And so that's what it is,
- 35:01Speaker 3: and I think whatever your answer is, The connectivity of
- 35:05Speaker 3: our world is interesting.
- 35:07Speaker 14: You know what I enjoy about hanging out with you
- 35:09Speaker 14: in the mornings? Sure. I, in the years, never thought
- 35:13Speaker 14: I would have a discussion about quantum mechanics on the radio.
- 35:18Speaker 4: And I've never done this in 20 years of radio.
- 35:20Speaker 7: Yeah, and I just.
- 35:22Speaker 4: I've never done that.
- 35:23Speaker 14: I can hear now the ads, right? Join the mob guys, right?
- 35:30Speaker 14: Two guys from the North. who live in the South.
- 35:33Speaker 2: And love it.
- 35:33Speaker 4: And they love quantum mechanics.
- 35:35Speaker 7: We're going to talk about quantum mechanics for two hours
- 35:38Speaker 7: in the morning.
- 35:39Speaker 4: I can't help it, man. You asked the question.
- 35:42Speaker 14: We're getting close to a break, but I think we
- 35:45Speaker 14: should start doing something.
- 35:46Speaker 4: Well, I was going to say that.
- 35:47Speaker 7: That's not a figment of your imagination.
- 35:49Speaker 3: I have the Brandon Gill audio. Well, and a bunch
- 35:51Speaker 3: of scientists who proved a part of it. I have
- 35:54Speaker 3: the Brandon Gill audio. He was on Scott Jennings' show.
- 35:57Speaker 3: We were both saying how much we like Scott Jennings
- 35:58Speaker 3: on CNN.
- 35:59Speaker 4: Love Scott Jennings.
- 36:00Speaker 3: And one of the things was talking about mainstream versus
- 36:03Speaker 3: extreme is what they said. And I think that this
- 36:07Speaker 3: is a pretty good way to say it for Brandon Gill.
- 36:11Speaker 15: Congressman, we have the midterms coming. There are a lot
- 36:13Speaker 15: of Republicans freaking out out there. A lot of punditry
- 36:17Speaker 15: is focused on the freakout. You've called this election the
- 36:20Speaker 15: mainstream versus the extreme. What do Republicans need to do
- 36:24Speaker 15: over the next 40 days, however many days that are left?
- 36:28Speaker 15: to outkick their historical coverage here and beat back some
- 36:32Speaker 15: of this polling that I think is actually being generated
- 36:35Speaker 15: to suppress Republican turnout.
- 36:37Speaker 4: Me too.
- 36:38Speaker 16: I think that's probably right. We've got to make sure
- 36:41Speaker 16: that our side recognizes not only what the stakes are,
- 36:44Speaker 16: but then does the work to make sure that we'll
- 36:46Speaker 16: be in a strong position in November. That means talking
- 36:49Speaker 16: to your friends and your community members and your church
- 36:52Speaker 16: members and making sure that they get out to vote
- 36:54Speaker 16: and they get their family and their friends out to
- 36:56Speaker 16: vote that if you can support Republican candidates, that you're
- 37:00Speaker 16: doing that financially. But the core message here is that
- 37:04Speaker 16: you've got a Democrat party who's running on a platform explicitly.
- 37:08Speaker 16: This is not political hyperbole from conservatives. They are explicitly
- 37:13Speaker 16: running on a platform of tearing America's constitutional foundations apart,
- 37:18Speaker 16: abolishing the Senate, abolishing the presidency. abolishing the Supreme Court.
- 37:24Speaker 16: They've talked for a long time about if they do
- 37:26Speaker 16: get power, they want to make DC. The 51st state, which,
- 37:30Speaker 16: of course, means two more Democrat senators. Then it's Puerto Rico.
- 37:34Speaker 16: Then it's packing the Supreme Court if they can't abolish it.
- 37:37Speaker 16: I mean, you're talking about fundamentally transforming the United States.
- 37:41Speaker 16: And that's before we even talk about insane policies like
- 37:44Speaker 16: open borders and defunding local police departments, entrancing toddlers and
- 37:49Speaker 16: everything else that they've spent the last six years talking about.
- 37:53Speaker 16: And then on the other side of the aisle, you
- 37:55Speaker 16: have Republicans. who are just the party of basic decency
- 38:00Speaker 16: and common sense, who say on a core level, we
- 38:03Speaker 16: love this country. We want America to survive. We want
- 38:06Speaker 16: to conserve America. That's why we're conservatives.
- 38:09Speaker 10: We want to.
- 38:09Speaker 16: Preserve it so that our kids and grandkids can inherit it.
- 38:13Speaker 4: Here, I'll stop it there. I do think this is
- 38:15Speaker 4: like really interesting, though.
- 38:16Speaker 3: And what we've been talking about, what you've been talking
- 38:19Speaker 3: about a lot on this show, Wayne, is what's the
- 38:21Speaker 3: actual message? What's the actual thing with a few weeks
- 38:24Speaker 3: to go before the midterms actually occur?
- 38:27Speaker 4: To get people to understand.
- 38:28Speaker 14: Well, part of the message has to be what Brandon
- 38:31Speaker 14: Gill just said, that we may not be perfect. I've
- 38:35Speaker 14: said it from the start. We may not be perfect,
- 38:38Speaker 14: but we're not crazy. And at the end of the day,
- 38:42Speaker 14: I'm hoping that the average person that actually has a
- 38:48Speaker 14: real job and actually works hard and goes to church
- 38:52Speaker 14: and does all the stuff you're supposed to do, take
- 38:54Speaker 14: care of your kids and all that kind of stuff,
- 38:55Speaker 14: that those people understand that I think this particular election
- 39:02Speaker 14: is very, very important to the future direction of this country.
- 39:08Speaker 14: We could slide like Europe has slid. And I, I am,
- 39:13Speaker 14: and this is where I become very conservative. I do
- 39:16Speaker 14: believe I'm after visiting England a couple of times now
- 39:21Speaker 14: that it's not the same.
- 39:24Speaker 7: It's a different culture.
- 39:26Speaker 14: I heard someone talking, someone from England last night, about
- 39:32Speaker 14: they were in Poland on vacation, and the streets were
- 39:35Speaker 14: all quiet, and it was all safe, and it was
- 39:36Speaker 14: 2 in the morning, and they were walking down the street,
- 39:39Speaker 14: show how safe it was, two young women. And they said,
- 39:43Speaker 14: you know, back home, like in Manchester, right?
- 39:46Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 39:47Speaker 14: And in other places, you can't do it anymore because
- 39:50Speaker 14: the interface of the cultures is just not, in my view,
- 39:56Speaker 14: and it doesn't mean that I think we're better than them,
- 40:01Speaker 14: but I think the failure of the cultures to melt
- 40:06Speaker 14: into it and now want essentially their own thing, their
- 40:10Speaker 14: own towns, their own local council, their own rules.
- 40:14Speaker 4: Everything else.
- 40:16Speaker 14: I'm not like a Sharia law freak, but I sort
- 40:19Speaker 14: of become one because I just think there's inconsistencies in,
- 40:24Speaker 14: and I'm trying to be kind, but inconsistencies in the culture.
- 40:28Speaker 14: And I just don't think they're the same. And I
- 40:32Speaker 14: think we've brought a lot of people to this country
- 40:34Speaker 14: who don't share our fundamental American values.
- 40:38Speaker 4: And don't want us to keep. believing those things.
- 40:41Speaker 3: I think there's a lot of people that not only
- 40:43Speaker 3: don't share our values, they want their values to be
- 40:46Speaker 3: the predominant values of the country.
- 40:48Speaker 7: Yeah, look, I'm a bully. I get it. So they're
- 40:51Speaker 7: bullying us now.
- 40:52Speaker 10: They are.
- 40:53Speaker 4: They want to.
- 40:53Speaker 3: They want to subtly get to the point where they
- 40:55Speaker 3: can bully us. So they're hoping that we're lenient enough
- 40:57Speaker 3: to get to a place where then they have enough.
- 41:00Speaker 4: People to bully us. All right, we've got to take
- 41:03Speaker 4: a break. We'll come back.
- 41:04Speaker 3: We won't talk about quantum mechanics anymore. But off the air,
- 41:07Speaker 3: I'm going to send you a bunch of stuff.
- 41:09Speaker 5: Oh, no, please.
- 41:10Speaker 14: Look, I beg our viewers and listeners, because it's on
- 41:14Speaker 14: my Facebook.
- 41:16Speaker 10: We are. It's there.
- 41:16Speaker 7: Thousands of people yesterday watching.
- 41:18Speaker 4: We did.
- 41:18Speaker 14: I beg all of my followers to get Craig's address and.
- 41:23Speaker 7: Go to his house.
- 41:24Speaker 3: And tell him not to talk about quantum mechanics with
- 41:27Speaker 3: Wayne D'Ultrafino anymore, because I'm very excited.
- 41:29Speaker 7: We're going to do the crap on the door. Okay.
- 41:32Speaker 4: Thank you, buddy. That's very kind of you.
- 41:33Speaker 7: Ring the doorbell. Ring the doorbell. Why don't you just
- 41:36Speaker 7: tell people your address now?
- 41:37Speaker 4: No, I'm not going to do it. I'm not going
- 41:38Speaker 4: to leave it. See, but that's the problem with the
- 41:40Speaker 4: real last name. That's the problem. All right, quick break.
- 41:42Speaker 4: A lot more.
- 41:43Speaker 6: Come on.
- 41:44Speaker 4: I know. This is The Voice of Texas and KSEV
- 41:46Speaker 4: Morning Show.
- 42:00Speaker 10: Catch Chris X Radio weekdays at 4, right here on
- 42:03Speaker 10: The Voice of Texas.

- 42:10Speaker 18: earlier this month that will reimburse Texas for border security
- 42:14Speaker 18: expenditures during the Biden border crisis. When asked for comment,
- 42:18Speaker 18: Joe Biden replied.
- 42:22Speaker 10: Chris X Radio, weekdays 4 till 6, right here on
- 42:26Speaker 10: The Voice of Texas.

- 43:30Speaker 6: Hi, this is Michael Miller. Join me this weekend for
- 43:34Speaker 6: the Backyard Bay radio program presented by Miller Pools and
- 43:38Speaker 6: Texan Pools. Now at our new time, every Saturday morning
- 43:42Speaker 6: at 9 a.m. And what we do here on the
- 43:45Speaker 6: Backyard Bay radio program is talk about your backyard. And
- 43:50Speaker 6: this time of year, wow, it's so hard not to
- 43:53Speaker 6: just spend all your time out in the Backyard Bay.
- 43:56Speaker 6: And I know sometimes you have questions. That's why we
- 44:00Speaker 6: do the Backyard Bay Radio program. To get you good,
- 44:03Speaker 6: solid answers to any kind of questions that you may
- 44:06Speaker 6: have concerning your swimming pools. Or I'm looking to build a.
- 44:10Speaker 10: New swimming pool.
- 44:14Speaker 6: Join me this weekend for the Backyard Bay Radio program.
- 44:17Speaker 6: Now at our new time, every Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
- 44:21Speaker 6: Right here on The Voice.
- 44:38Speaker 14: All right, we're serving cannoli at Kanye's house tonight.
- 44:43Speaker 7: Yeah. 7 o'clock.
- 44:44Speaker 4: Get a couple cannolis.
- 44:45Speaker 7: Private message me. I'll give you his address.
- 44:47Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 44:47Speaker 7: We're picking up some cannolis. We're all going over to
- 44:50Speaker 7: your house.
- 44:51Speaker 4: And then we're throwing some stuff at the door.
- 44:53Speaker 14: And it's going to be really fun. And we're going
- 44:54Speaker 14: to make you step in some crap.
- 44:55Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 44:55Speaker 4: Thank you, buddy.
- 44:56Speaker 14: Listen, it's the Mob Guys here on AM700 KSEV, the
- 45:01Speaker 14: voice of Texas. And I hope the voice that will resonate...
- 45:06Speaker 14: So that we don't do something stupid here. And I
- 45:12Speaker 14: see that they're now talking about putting $ 190 million into
- 45:16Speaker 14: Paxton ads. I wish Paxton would debate. I actually think.
- 45:25Speaker 7: It would both highlight his negatives and his positives.
- 45:28Speaker 3: I wish he would debate, too. And I don't think
- 45:30Speaker 3: it's a good look. I just, in general, I can
- 45:32Speaker 3: do this beyond Paxton. I think, in general, it doesn't
- 45:35Speaker 3: look good if you want an office in politics to
- 45:38Speaker 3: not debate.
- 45:38Speaker 7: It's a job interview, dude.
- 45:39Speaker 4: You've got to do it.
- 45:40Speaker 14: I go bust people all the time during campaigns, and
- 45:43Speaker 14: they go, like, oh, this is just political. It's called
- 45:47Speaker 14: you're running for office. It's a job interview. You're not
- 45:50Speaker 14: guaranteed this because your daddy-in-law is rich. You're not guaranteed
- 45:54Speaker 14: it because you're white or black or green or blue.
- 45:56Speaker 14: But it's a job interview. And I really think the
- 46:00Speaker 14: media doesn't even cover it anymore.
- 46:02Speaker 7: No.
- 46:02Speaker 3: And I'll throw one exception out there. When Trump wouldn't
- 46:05Speaker 3: debate in 2024, he was such a well-known commodity.
- 46:09Speaker 4: Like we knew everything about him. We knew what he'd say.
- 46:11Speaker 4: We knew what he'd do.
- 46:12Speaker 3: I don't think he needed to convince anyone of who
- 46:14Speaker 3: he was. I think it still would have been nice
- 46:17Speaker 3: to have seen him on some of those stages. And
- 46:18Speaker 3: I think he would have done well. But obviously he
- 46:20Speaker 3: didn't need to. Paxton right now does need to convince
- 46:23Speaker 3: some people that seem like they're not going to vote
- 46:25Speaker 3: for him but would have voted for somebody else to
- 46:29Speaker 3: vote for him. And the best way to do that
- 46:30Speaker 3: is to be on a stage somewhere arguing with the
- 46:33Speaker 3: crazy guy you're running against.
- 46:34Speaker 14: Yeah, look, we can give out the number in a minute,
- 46:37Speaker 14: but I will say this. The Cornyn people, right, call
- 46:42Speaker 14: them the country club Republicans, call them whatever you want
- 46:44Speaker 14: to call them, right, they're not– if they don't come out,
- 46:48Speaker 14: He's he's he's down. He's in deep doo doo. And
- 46:52Speaker 14: I don't understand why you wouldn't come out. Vote by mail.
- 46:57Speaker 7: Right. I like to go personally, physically vote. That's a
- 47:00Speaker 7: Wayne thing.
- 47:01Speaker 4: I like to go in there.
- 47:01Speaker 7: I think it's a little sticker. I like interfacing with
- 47:04Speaker 7: the people. I just like that stuff. So I I'm
- 47:07Speaker 7: always really into going.
- 47:08Speaker 4: Do you vote an election day or do you go early?
- 47:12Speaker 7: I normally vote on Election Day.
- 47:14Speaker 4: So we're the same.
- 47:16Speaker 3: It's so funny that a lot of people now say,
- 47:18Speaker 3: it doesn't matter, and you can certainly vote early. I
- 47:21Speaker 3: just like voting on Election Day, and I like voting
- 47:23Speaker 3: in person.
- 47:23Speaker 7: And I think it should be a holiday.
- 47:26Speaker 4: Say this while we get along.
- 47:28Speaker 3: 281-558-5738 is the phone number.
- 47:33Speaker 14: 281-558-5738.
- 47:33Speaker 4: Specifically, if you want to talk about quantum mechanics, you'll
- 47:36Speaker 4: get right to the front.
- 47:36Speaker 7: Of the line.
- 47:37Speaker 14: Yeah, we'll put you at the front of the line.
- 47:39Speaker 14: I will also say that I'm not in love with
- 47:46Speaker 14: this Paxton commercial that, you know, puts all these child molesters.
- 47:50Speaker 7: I get it, right? But when I think of Paxton, I.
- 47:54Speaker 14: Think of someone who is leading a legal fight so
- 48:01Speaker 14: that we're not crazy and stupid, right?
- 48:03Speaker 7: And so, like, we have tough abortion laws.
- 48:06Speaker 14: Get over it. I don't like the tough marijuana laws.
- 48:08Speaker 14: It's ridiculous, personally. That's just a Wayne thing. As someone
- 48:12Speaker 14: with a medical marijuana card, it's a matter of public
- 48:15Speaker 14: record because of my MS. But I just, it's not
- 48:22Speaker 14: making it for me. Paxton has fought so many great
- 48:27Speaker 14: legal battles to preserve Texas, right? Because people come here
- 48:34Speaker 14: for that, right? They don't come here for left-wing policies anymore.
- 48:38Speaker 14: They come here for freedom.
- 48:39Speaker 3: I think that that campaign ad specifically that you're referencing,
- 48:42Speaker 3: which we can play after the news break and maybe
- 48:45Speaker 3: both react to it and actually hear the audio, but
- 48:47Speaker 3: I think it's supposed to address the people who try
- 48:50Speaker 3: to attack Paxton for being lenient, and it's not even
- 48:52Speaker 3: really him who was in a couple cases where they
- 48:54Speaker 3: call him someone who supports child predators and whatnot.
- 48:58Speaker 4: That's complete crap.
- 49:00Speaker 14: The problem Paxton has is that Especially with what's filtered through.
- 49:07Speaker 14: I met him in his house and talked to him
- 49:09Speaker 14: for 20, 30 minutes once. I was interviewing his wife,
- 49:12Speaker 14: Senator Paxton. We were helping do a video for her.
- 49:17Speaker 14: I met him and we hung out, we talked. He's
- 49:20Speaker 14: a nice guy when you're just hanging out with him
- 49:22Speaker 14: and talking to him. I think sometimes that's all voters
- 49:26Speaker 14: really want. I don't mean the guy you want to
- 49:28Speaker 14: have a beer with. I didn't want to have a
- 49:30Speaker 14: beer with him. I just thought, you know what? He
- 49:33Speaker 14: seems like a pretty committed guy. I respect people who
- 49:38Speaker 14: are authentically committed. He's authentic about his policies. If we
- 49:43Speaker 14: can't move some of the personal stuff out of here, okay,
- 49:48Speaker 14: so the media likes to show him with his girlfriend.
- 49:51Speaker 14: He's got a divorce. He's got a girlfriend. I mean,
- 49:55Speaker 14: it'd be a better story if he was with some
- 49:57Speaker 14: dude or something, but he's not. He's just being.
- 50:00Speaker 7: A guy at this point.
- 50:02Speaker 8: He is, yeah.
- 50:02Speaker 7: Was he a faithful guy?
- 50:03Speaker 5: No.
- 50:04Speaker 7: I get it.
- 50:05Speaker 14: The other thing involved a business deal between some friends.
- 50:08Speaker 14: The Nate Paul stuff, to me, and they call this
- 50:11Speaker 14: guy the most corrupt politician in Texas.
- 50:13Speaker 7: It's ludicrous.
- 50:14Speaker 14: We allow them to put labels on us.
- 50:21Speaker 4: We do. We do.
- 50:22Speaker 7: But the only.
- 50:23Speaker 14: Labels we can throw on them, and this goes to
- 50:26Speaker 14: my problem with some of the transgender thing, is that
- 50:29Speaker 14: I think it was a big issue. The polls suggest
- 50:33Speaker 14: it's not. And while I'm talking about polls, you see
- 50:36Speaker 14: these polls on TV and they go, Chalo Rico leading
- 50:39Speaker 14: Paxton by four points or three points, right?
- 50:41Speaker 7: And one guy's.
- 50:42Speaker 14: Got 45, and one guy's got like 47, right? Last
- 50:47Speaker 14: time I checked, just doing my math, that's only 92%.
- 50:52Speaker 7: Right.
- 50:52Speaker 4: There's still people missing.
- 50:53Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 50:53Speaker 14: There's like eight percent of people that will decide probably late.
- 50:58Speaker 4: And there's a margin of error, too, by the way.
- 50:59Speaker 14: So, yeah, but look, I polls are nonsense, right? I
- 51:03Speaker 14: see a poll now and I.
- 51:04Speaker 4: Go, I think it's nonsense. Well, what Brady calls me
- 51:07Speaker 4: now and what no one calls me.
- 51:08Speaker 3: What Brandon Gill said in that thing that we played
- 51:10Speaker 3: with Scott Jennings is some of this information is really
- 51:13Speaker 3: being put out there to discourage conservatives from voting.
- 51:16Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 51:17Speaker 14: You watch CNN last night and it was like they
- 51:19Speaker 14: spent 20 minutes on that line of questioning. in that
- 51:23Speaker 14: hearing yesterday about whether or not the special counsel was
- 51:28Speaker 14: in Atlanta the day after the DA got caught.
- 51:32Speaker 3: Well, and they're also obsessed with trying to create divisions
- 51:34Speaker 3: within our party. I don't know if you saw this,
- 51:36Speaker 3: but the audio of Ken Paxton saying that President Trump
- 51:39Speaker 3: is dragging down his campaign that the New York Times
- 51:42Speaker 3: said they got from some leaked conversation Paxton had where
- 51:45Speaker 3: he didn't know he was being recorded. It's like a
- 51:49Speaker 3: 25-second piece of audio that seems to be making the
- 51:52Speaker 3: rounds everywhere, and I don't know the context of it.
- 51:55Speaker 3: I don't know what it is that Paxton was saying
- 51:57Speaker 3: that led up to, and we can play that after
- 51:59Speaker 3: the break, too, if you want, but what led up
- 52:01Speaker 3: to him saying that he thinks that maybe there's some
- 52:03Speaker 3: way that the president is negatively hurting his campaign.
- 52:08Speaker 14: Look, I think with independence, I think Trump is hurting.
- 52:14Speaker 14: I think there does come a point.
- 52:17Speaker 7: Where a shtick factor starts to wear off, right?
- 52:20Speaker 14: Sure. I have always been critical of the president because
- 52:26Speaker 14: he gets in fights that he doesn't need to get in, okay?
- 52:30Speaker 7: The media, look, I think everyone knows.
- 52:32Speaker 14: The media is full of crap now, especially the legacy
- 52:36Speaker 14: network media that I watched CNN last night and literally
- 52:39Speaker 14: spent 20 minutes on this line of questioning in the
- 52:42Speaker 14: Jack Smith thing. Then they talked about something else really
- 52:45Speaker 14: bad about Trump. It was literally like 40 minutes of
- 52:48Speaker 14: the worst possible things that could happen. I was thinking
- 52:52Speaker 14: to myself, every show last night, because I was watching
- 52:56Speaker 14: Laura Coates and the other one, they're talking about.
- 52:59Speaker 7: This testimony yesterday.
- 53:01Speaker 14: When's the last time you saw the media spend 15
- 53:05Speaker 14: minutes talking about something some Democrat said that was stupid?
- 53:09Speaker 14: I do understand it, right?
- 53:12Speaker 7: But it's just so, it is becoming a poison.
- 53:16Speaker 14: Sure.
- 53:17Speaker 3: I will also say that, and I know we haven't
- 53:18Speaker 3: talked about it a lot because, honestly, Jack Smith being
- 53:21Speaker 3: in the news again is kind of crazy in and
- 53:23Speaker 3: of itself. But I do think a decent amount of
- 53:25Speaker 3: that testimony and a decent amount of what came out
- 53:27Speaker 3: from it on the conservative side does demonstrate that he
- 53:30Speaker 3: was weaponizing his position to try to go after and
- 53:33Speaker 3: investigate and spy on a whole bunch of people on
- 53:36Speaker 3: just one side of the political aisle. So I do think, well,
- 53:39Speaker 3: it might be something that the left is obsessing with
- 53:41Speaker 3: for whatever reasons and Some of us, it's falling on
- 53:43Speaker 3: deaf ears. I do think there's substance that is there.
- 53:46Speaker 3: And we can even play– I know you like him.
- 53:48Speaker 3: We can play Senator Kennedy's ripping apart of some of
- 53:51Speaker 3: the ways that people question him.
- 53:53Speaker 7: Can I tell you something?
- 53:55Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 53:56Speaker 14: I would lie about my residency to go to Louisiana
- 54:00Speaker 14: to vote for– I would.
- 54:01Speaker 7: I would commit labor fraud.
- 54:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:04Speaker 7: If I could.
- 54:04Speaker 3: No, but he crapped all over the way the left
- 54:06Speaker 3: is responding to the Jack Smith hearing at the hearing.
- 54:10Speaker 4: And I thought that was pretty good.
- 54:11Speaker 7: I want to play that.
- 54:12Speaker 4: OK.
- 54:13Speaker 14: And then we could maybe talk about some other stuff.
- 54:16Speaker 14: But by the way, there's I've seen the news this
- 54:19Speaker 14: morning about this Israeli pilot. Israel-bound plane dropped 17,000 feet
- 54:27Speaker 14: after the pilot reportedly stabbed.
- 54:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:30Speaker 3: We can talk about that. We're up on a break.
- 54:32Speaker 3: We'll get to all those things in just a bit.
- 54:34Speaker 3: KSEV Mornings, The Voice of Texas.
