- 0:02Speaker 1: This is am I the problem.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's me.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Hi, the problem is me.
- 0:09Speaker 1: We'll hear one side of the story and with your
- 0:12Speaker 1: help decide if it's right or if maybe you're the problem.
- 0:18Speaker 3: That's right.
- 0:19Speaker 1: I am the problem on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 0:24Speaker 4: That's right, I am the problem.
- 0:25Speaker 2: I don't know why we had Tyler right into us,
- 0:29Speaker 2: and there's some workplace drama. Hey, guys, I need to
- 0:32Speaker 2: know if I'm the problem here. Back in twenty twenty three,
- 0:35Speaker 2: a coworker named Jen ding he just said her name, Sorry, Jen.
- 0:40Speaker 2: A co worker named Jen went on maternity leave then
- 0:44Speaker 2: started working from home, so her office sat empty. I
- 0:47Speaker 2: asked my manager if I could move in. God approved,
- 0:50Speaker 2: and I've been there ever since. Our company announced that
- 0:53Speaker 2: everyone has to return to office by November seventeenth. When
- 0:57Speaker 2: Jen came in to start moving stuff back in, she
- 1:00Speaker 2: saw me in her office and got upset and asked
- 1:03Speaker 2: if I'd moved out. I told her no, and HR
- 1:07Speaker 2: even confirmed I don't have to. But now people at
- 1:10Speaker 2: work are giving me attitude over it and saying I'm inconsiderate.
- 1:14Speaker 2: There are other offices she can move into. My coworkers
- 1:17Speaker 2: think that I should just move into one of those.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Then that sounds stupid. If I'm already settled in and
- 1:24Speaker 2: she's actively moving things, what do you think?
- 1:29Speaker 3: Man gave the little smirk on your face. I'm a
- 1:31Speaker 3: little nervous to hear what you.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Have to say.
- 1:35Speaker 5: Here's what I will say, Tyler, this is just his
- 1:41Speaker 5: name's Tyler, right, yeah, Tyler, this is just part of
- 1:44Speaker 5: being a guy. Okay, sometimes things stuck. Just change your office, dude, do.
- 1:50Speaker 3: You think he should change his office?
- 1:52Speaker 5: Get an hr all involved in your other out of
- 1:56Speaker 5: an office, Just get a different office. Now is it
- 2:00Speaker 5: I'm saying? Is the office worth now? Forever at that job?
- 2:04Speaker 5: Being the guy who wouldn't trade offices? Is it really
- 2:08Speaker 5: worth it? She was on maternity leave, It's not like
- 2:11Speaker 5: she I guess she did start working from home, but
- 2:13Speaker 5: it's you know, it's not like she quit and then
- 2:16Speaker 5: tried to come back and get the office for a
- 2:19Speaker 5: good reason.
- 2:21Speaker 4: So just switch the office.
- 2:23Speaker 5: This sounds like a headache I would not want to
- 2:25Speaker 5: be involved in, and forever you are the dude who
- 2:27Speaker 5: is too stubborn to switch offices.
- 2:30Speaker 2: What do you think seven oh one two eight zho
- 2:32Speaker 2: one nine eight seven is Tyler the problem should he
- 2:35Speaker 2: just switch offices because his coworker's coming back. Or should
- 2:40Speaker 2: he just stick to his guns and say, no, this
- 2:42Speaker 2: is my office now.
- 2:48Speaker 5: Should Tyler give up an office he jumped into as
- 2:52Speaker 5: this lady went on maternity leave and then started working remotely?
- 2:56Speaker 4: TYA, I think he should stick.
- 2:58Speaker 6: To his guns. And I Jen needs to realize that
- 3:02Speaker 6: that office stem empty for however long until Tyler moved
- 3:08Speaker 6: into it. She didn't plan on returning into the office
- 3:12Speaker 6: until it was mandated to do so. She shouldn't have
- 3:15Speaker 6: an expectation that that office wasn't going to get used
- 3:19Speaker 6: by somebody else, because the only reason she's returning to
- 3:22Speaker 6: the office is because they told her she needed to,
- 3:25Speaker 6: Otherwise she'd still be at home.
- 3:27Speaker 3: This is exactly how I feel.
- 3:29Speaker 6: Right, I mean, how long is that supposed to sit empty?
- 3:33Speaker 6: What if she worked at home for ten years? Was
- 3:35Speaker 6: that office supposed to sit empty for ten years?
- 3:38Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, I love you right when you're right
- 3:40Speaker 4: you're right?
- 3:41Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I love.
- 3:42Speaker 2: How fired up you wear about this because that was
- 3:44Speaker 2: my feeling exactly Like, girl, you gave up that office
- 3:48Speaker 2: and you don't live there, you don't own the company.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Calm down, it's not your office anymore.
- 3:53Speaker 6: And he took the right steps to check and make
- 3:55Speaker 6: sure that it was okay that he moved in so
- 3:58Speaker 6: her and unfortunately too with his office workers. They need
- 4:03Speaker 6: to kind of come to the realization as well that
- 4:07Speaker 6: what is the expectation? How long should an office it
- 4:10Speaker 6: open until somebody else wants to move into it or
- 4:13Speaker 6: needs to move into it?
- 4:15Speaker 5: And Tya does make a good point, Tya, thank you
- 4:17Speaker 5: so much for the phone call this morning.
- 4:19Speaker 4: And you know what, I was a little surprised. There
- 4:22Speaker 4: are some there's.
- 4:23Speaker 5: Some back and forth on this a little bit. I
- 4:25Speaker 5: thought this was going to be fairly heavily one sided.
- 4:28Speaker 5: I wonder, and I would like to hear Jen's side
- 4:32Speaker 5: of this story. Maybe it was approved or what have you,
- 4:36Speaker 5: that no one would jump in the office or something.
- 4:38Speaker 5: But we did get a text from Liz who Liz
- 4:41Speaker 5: actually agreed with me. She said she was on maternity leave,
- 4:45Speaker 5: added in some color for words after that. But she knew,
- 4:48Speaker 5: or Tyler knew it was temporary. Now she's coming back.
- 4:51Speaker 5: Time to pack up. Why didn't you just take a
- 4:53Speaker 5: different office in the first place, since she knew she
- 4:55Speaker 5: was coming back after leave. Now I don't know if
- 4:57Speaker 5: Liz potentially missed that she was working remote for a
- 5:00Speaker 5: little bit, But if there were other offices open for Tyler,
- 5:05Speaker 5: I guess I would have avoided the entire headache and
- 5:09Speaker 5: just picked one. I knew that someone didn't have things
- 5:12Speaker 5: in Potentially, I.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Need someone to send us a picture of this office.
- 5:17Speaker 2: What is so magical about this that? Is it a
- 5:19Speaker 2: corner office? You got big windows?
- 5:21Speaker 4: I need to know. Is it on the second floor?
- 5:24Speaker 6: Know?
- 5:25Speaker 5: And what do you think? Seven oh one two eight
- 5:27Speaker 5: zero one nine eight seven? Uh, this is a little
- 5:29Speaker 5: more divided than I originally thought it would.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Be celebrating life's little victories.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Victory every morning we practice gratitude on Big ninety eight
- 5:41Speaker 1: point seven.
- 5:42Speaker 3: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 5:44Speaker 3: basket job busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 5:47Speaker 3: I just really needed to win, you know.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 5:52Speaker 1: two eight oh one ninety eight seven.
- 5:55Speaker 5: Sometimes it's little things in life, you know, that give
- 5:58Speaker 5: you a little boost for the day of boost on
- 6:00Speaker 5: your Monday. And we do have a big shout out
- 6:04Speaker 5: to Melissa who said her four year old had one
- 6:07Speaker 5: of the best take home report cards that she has
- 6:10Speaker 5: seen in a while and was very very happy.
- 6:12Speaker 4: I think it had to do it so I got
- 6:14Speaker 4: some homework or something.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Oh wow, I didn't read them. Pull.
- 6:17Speaker 5: I couldn't get to the full text because we were
- 6:19Speaker 5: just trying to get some stuff going here in the studio.
- 6:21Speaker 5: But congratulations Similisa and your kid who brought home what
- 6:25Speaker 5: sounds like either a good report card or a good
- 6:27Speaker 5: thing of homework.
- 6:27Speaker 4: I'll die back into it, sir.
- 6:28Speaker 3: It's really it is probably like a behavior thing.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Oh that might be it.
- 6:32Speaker 5: Yeah, you're probably right. Well, way to go, Melissa. Congratulations
- 6:35Speaker 5: to you and your little one. Angie. It is Monday.
- 6:38Speaker 5: You have a lot to be grateful for the past
- 6:40Speaker 5: couple of days. I'm sure, what's your little victory today?
- 6:43Speaker 3: So I haven't furnished my.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Continue Sorry, can we acknowledge this voice?
- 6:48Speaker 3: No, the elephant in the room.
- 6:50Speaker 2: My little victory is not that I've I've lost my voice. Sure,
- 6:55Speaker 2: and so now I sound like you know in Friends
- 6:58Speaker 2: when Phoebe gets and then she sounds better when she
- 7:01Speaker 2: sings smelly Cat.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Sure, that's how I feel.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, you really got your radio? Your like radio
- 7:07Speaker 4: voy Yeah? Gone?
- 7:07Speaker 3: Yet I'm like Kathleen Turner right now. Anyway, that's an
- 7:10Speaker 3: old reference.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Anyway, I figured we'd better acknowledge that.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Thank you. Okay.
- 7:14Speaker 2: So I have this big bear wall in my living
- 7:18Speaker 2: room that I hadn't put anything up on it, just
- 7:21Speaker 2: because I don't know, I just hadn't done it yet.
- 7:24Speaker 2: I was waiting for like a good deal to find,
- 7:26Speaker 2: like a painting to put up.
- 7:27Speaker 3: And yesterday was the day.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Mikey and I we went to Kirkland's home and we
- 7:33Speaker 2: found this painting that was seventy five percent off. So
- 7:37Speaker 2: instead of paying one hundred ten dollars plus tax on it,
- 7:41Speaker 2: I got it for like twenty seven bucks.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Oh.
- 7:44Speaker 4: You gotta love a good deal.
- 7:45Speaker 5: Yes.
- 7:46Speaker 3: And so now we've hung it up.
- 7:48Speaker 2: It's filled the space, it's not just this big empty wall.
- 7:51Speaker 5: Yeah, anytime you can save some money, I'm always a
- 7:53Speaker 5: big fan of that. I love a good deal.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I'm a frugal lady.
- 7:57Speaker 4: That's right. My little victory here, Angie.
- 7:59Speaker 5: This past weekend I went to visit my buddy Jake
- 8:03Speaker 5: in Minneapolis.
- 8:04Speaker 3: I love him.
- 8:05Speaker 5: Yeah, he's very cool dude. And we just rotated some
- 8:08Speaker 5: tires on the truck. Now I could easily not easily,
- 8:12Speaker 5: that's not the right word. But when I got my
- 8:14Speaker 5: oil change, I could have easily just thrown in like
- 8:16Speaker 5: some more money and just got it done for me.
- 8:18Speaker 5: I've been done with it. But then you don't get
- 8:20Speaker 5: the excuse of going to bs with your buddy for
- 8:22Speaker 5: a weekend for a task that takes about twenty to
- 8:26Speaker 5: thirty minutes. I like your style game, yeah, but that's
- 8:29Speaker 5: not the little victory. The little victory was on the
- 8:32Speaker 5: way home to Minneapolis, or I guess on the way
- 8:36Speaker 5: to my parents' home to Minneapolis, I stopped at this
- 8:39Speaker 5: gas station in Sock Center, my wife and I was
- 8:42Speaker 5: more like a truck stop, you know.
- 8:43Speaker 4: It had a restaurant in it and all this oh nice.
- 8:46Speaker 5: And I walk in and I, you know, we're doing
- 8:48Speaker 5: a little potty break gas fill up deal. And I
- 8:50Speaker 5: walk in and this lady I heard her say something
- 8:54Speaker 5: kind of but it was like I gotta be So
- 8:57Speaker 5: I went to the bathroom, came back out, and this
- 8:59Speaker 5: late he walks up to me and was like, oh, hey,
- 9:01Speaker 5: are you Gabe from Big ninety eight point seven And
- 9:04Speaker 5: I was like, oh yeah, And she was like, oh,
- 9:07Speaker 5: I was just talking to your wife.
- 9:08Speaker 4: I saw you walk in.
- 9:09Speaker 5: I was like, Oh, is that Gabe, And then she
- 9:12Speaker 5: was like, I had to give your wife a little
- 9:13Speaker 5: crap for not wearing a flannel on Flannel Friday.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Oh that's fun.
- 9:17Speaker 5: It was a very fun interaction in like Socks Center
- 9:20Speaker 5: of all places, you know, the most random place ever,
- 9:23Speaker 5: and it was just really cool that this lady sat
- 9:25Speaker 5: and talked to us for a couple of minutes.
- 9:26Speaker 2: I love that because we sit in here and we
- 9:29Speaker 2: do the show, but we can't ever be sure that
- 9:31Speaker 2: anybody's listening.
- 9:32Speaker 4: Not a clue.
- 9:33Speaker 2: We're just like fingers crossed and prayers up that anyone listens.
- 9:37Speaker 2: So it's nice to hear when someone does.
- 9:39Speaker 5: Yeah, it was very funny watching this lady kind of
- 9:41Speaker 5: roast Cory, like very lightheartedly, by the way, about not
- 9:45Speaker 5: having a flannel on for Flannel Friday.
- 9:47Speaker 4: So that was great. It was very very fun and
- 9:49Speaker 4: very cool.
- 9:49Speaker 5: So definitely shout out to that lady and her husband
- 9:52Speaker 5: in the Sock Center rest stop guest station on the
- 9:57Speaker 5: way ed Shearon, We have some tea coming up as well.
- 10:00Speaker 5: There's been some interesting, I don't know, allegations potentially with
- 10:06Speaker 5: the show Stranger things with Millie Bobby Brown, and David Harbor.
- 10:11Speaker 4: We have a maybe not an update, but just.
- 10:13Speaker 5: A part two of that coming up here on Big
- 10:16Speaker 5: ninety eight point seven. I want to know if friends
- 10:25Speaker 5: Giving was happening right now in the Big ninety eight
- 10:28Speaker 5: point seven studio.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Okay, we should have that, by the way.
- 10:31Speaker 5: Yeah, we're just like, hey, come on down. But we
- 10:34Speaker 5: put some rules to it. And the rules were, you
- 10:37Speaker 5: can only use what you have in your either you know, cupboard,
- 10:41Speaker 5: I guess, or pantry or your fridge freezer. What would
- 10:47Speaker 5: you be bringing to the Big ninety eight point seven
- 10:49Speaker 5: friends Giving?
- 10:49Speaker 4: Let me know.
- 10:50Speaker 5: It's seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight
- 10:53Speaker 5: seven and we had this up over the weekend, and
- 10:56Speaker 5: of course people did not disappoint with the comments.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Candy said Krewton, A hot.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Dish that sounds fire.
- 11:05Speaker 4: I love me a nice hot dish.
- 11:07Speaker 5: I don't know if I've had a hot dish with
- 11:08Speaker 5: croutons in it, and you're Midwest enough to know about
- 11:12Speaker 5: hot dish now, right, I absolutely do.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I feel like with creutons that makes it.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Almost like it's a stuffing.
- 11:19Speaker 5: Yeah you know what I mean. Yeah, there's like a
- 11:21Speaker 5: breaded element to it. Yeah, yeah, Christina, you could actually
- 11:24Speaker 5: bring this to a real friendsgiving, and I think it
- 11:27Speaker 5: could be considered Thanksgiving food, even though I wonder if
- 11:30Speaker 5: it's Kraft, she said, mac and cheese.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Odds are it's Craft, but.
- 11:34Speaker 5: We'll take it the good stuff? Or do we got Kraft? Christina,
- 11:37Speaker 5: let us know? And then Yvonne said, apple sauce, because
- 11:41Speaker 5: what ladies don't like apple sauce? I love apple seav Angie,
- 11:46Speaker 5: what would you have to bring if we did friends
- 11:48Speaker 5: giving in the studio and you can only use what
- 11:51Speaker 5: you have in your kitchen. You can't go shopping, you
- 11:53Speaker 5: can't stop at Taco Bell and grab a bunch of
- 11:56Speaker 5: crunch wrap, supremes.
- 11:58Speaker 3: I'm bringing. I'm bringing two things.
- 12:01Speaker 2: I'm bringing chick pea salad and leftover Halloween candy.
- 12:05Speaker 4: There you go, that's not too bad.
- 12:07Speaker 5: If I had to bring in something, you know what
- 12:09Speaker 5: I'd have And I bet someone has this at their Thanksgiving.
- 12:12Speaker 5: So I do have a Thanksgiving is type food at
- 12:14Speaker 5: the house. We have leftover Swedish meatballs.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Oh that sounds good.
- 12:19Speaker 4: That's kind of.
- 12:20Speaker 5: Thanksgiving e And then finally there was one more, and
- 12:24Speaker 5: this one actually would be a perfect Thanksgiving Day meal.
- 12:29Speaker 5: Kayla said, pork roast with small taters in the crockpot
- 12:32Speaker 5: and chicken enchilada soup in the crockpot cooking as we speak,
- 12:37Speaker 5: all homemade. How do we get a hold of Kayla
- 12:39Speaker 5: and invite her to Thanksgiving?
- 12:41Speaker 3: Text us seven one two eight on one nine eight seven.
- 12:43Speaker 3: We need your address, We're coming home.
- 12:48Speaker 5: Do you have any go to hacks to maybe getting
- 12:51Speaker 5: free stuff or upgrades? Let us know it's seven oh
- 12:54Speaker 5: one two eight zero one nine eight seven. We want
- 12:57Speaker 5: to help you this holiday season as maybe you got
- 13:00Speaker 5: to do some traveling, you gotta do some staying in hotels,
- 13:03Speaker 5: whatever the case is. Yeah, could you maybe you know,
- 13:05Speaker 5: go from coach up into business or something right.
- 13:09Speaker 2: A girlfriend of mine had asked this on her social
- 13:12Speaker 2: media because she went on it she was going on
- 13:14Speaker 2: a trip to Vegas for a birthday. She was like,
- 13:17Speaker 2: what are your guys' upgrade?
- 13:19Speaker 3: Like, hacks? What do you? What do you do?
- 13:21Speaker 2: And I responded to her and I figured I would
- 13:24Speaker 2: let the FM Maria know. This has worked for me
- 13:28Speaker 2: several times in the past with both hotels and car rentals.
- 13:33Speaker 2: When I present my ID to go check in to
- 13:36Speaker 2: do the thing, No, I say, do you want to
- 13:39Speaker 2: upgrade me for free for no reason.
- 13:42Speaker 5: And takes a lot of I'll use the word gumption. Yeah,
- 13:46Speaker 5: I think they're just take some bravery.
- 13:48Speaker 2: They're disarmed by it, because what are you saying to me?
- 13:53Speaker 2: Just flat out do you want to upgrade me for
- 13:55Speaker 2: free for no reason?
- 13:57Speaker 3: Like, no incentive. I'm not tipping you.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Nothing, I just ask, flat out ask. And I think
- 14:01Speaker 2: that they're just so taken aback by that, and then think,
- 14:04Speaker 2: I don't know why not.
- 14:06Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe they just appreciate the honesty.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:08Speaker 2: So I've gotten upgraded in hotel rooms and in car rentals,
- 14:11Speaker 2: So I mean the worst they can say is no,
- 14:14Speaker 2: because I have gotten a No, it doesn't work every time,
- 14:17Speaker 2: but I have gotten a know here and there, and
- 14:20Speaker 2: that's fine. But like, you can't what is the Wayne
- 14:23Speaker 2: Gretzky thing?
- 14:24Speaker 3: You miss? One hundred?
- 14:26Speaker 5: You've missed that the shot percent of the shots you
- 14:28Speaker 5: don't take? Yeah, do you think we would have if
- 14:30Speaker 5: you and I were to go up to fifty hotels?
- 14:34Speaker 5: I'm like, Hey, do you want to upgrade my room
- 14:35Speaker 5: for free for no reason? What do you think your
- 14:39Speaker 5: success rate would be compared to my success I.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Actually think that you would be more successful because I
- 14:44Speaker 2: think you're very charming.
- 14:45Speaker 5: I appreciate that thing. Yeah, what do you think I
- 14:48Speaker 5: was gonna say? I think it'd be close, but I
- 14:50Speaker 5: bet you'd have me. You know, let's say you got
- 14:52Speaker 5: twenty five out of fifty. I bet i'd be around
- 14:55Speaker 5: fifteen twenty.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Oh yeah, no, I think you'd do better than me.
- 14:58Speaker 4: Oh all right, well I ap that.
- 15:00Speaker 5: So we asked you, hey, what are your hacks to
- 15:02Speaker 5: getting upgrades or maybe just free stuff?
- 15:05Speaker 4: And you can always let us know.
- 15:06Speaker 5: It's seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven,
- 15:10Speaker 5: and Yvonne had a great answer. I think this one
- 15:14Speaker 5: you could do right now today using the right apps,
- 15:17Speaker 5: websites and promo codes.
- 15:19Speaker 4: Don't forget about that.
- 15:20Speaker 5: Just about every single thing you buy online has a
- 15:23Speaker 5: discount code somewhere.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I feel like i've every new search up discount millions
- 15:28Speaker 2: of times.
- 15:28Speaker 5: Yes, we also had Connie who said calling to cancel
- 15:34Speaker 5: service has gotten me many great deals.
- 15:37Speaker 4: Have you ever?
- 15:38Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 15:38Speaker 5: You know, hey, I'm not using my Direct TV as
- 15:41Speaker 5: much as I thought. I don't want to spend you know,
- 15:43Speaker 5: the upwards of one hundred whatever. Like I'm going to
- 15:45Speaker 5: get rid of this. You call and let Direct TV.
- 15:48Speaker 5: You don't want it anymore, you'll get that thing for
- 15:50Speaker 5: five bucks for the next six months or something.
- 15:52Speaker 4: It happened.
- 15:53Speaker 3: I like that. I like that.
- 15:55Speaker 5: And then finally from Brian. Now we all can't use this.
- 15:59Speaker 5: This is kind of a Brian and Family special But
- 16:01Speaker 5: Brian said, have my mother in law call. That's her specialty.
- 16:05Speaker 5: She won't hang up until she gets what she wants.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Brian, send us her contact info.
- 16:11Speaker 4: I'll share with the class. Ryan Rocket.
- 16:19Speaker 5: There's been a challenge issued here on Big ninety eight
- 16:22Speaker 5: point seven to our very own Angie and no, she's
- 16:25Speaker 5: not going to be a rocket man, but close.
- 16:28Speaker 3: A roquette and if you will.
- 16:31Speaker 2: So on Friday, I saw on the Today Show we
- 16:35Speaker 2: have a TV in the background here and the roquettes
- 16:38Speaker 2: were performing on the plaza.
- 16:40Speaker 4: They're like some dancers if you don't.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Know, Yeah, so I'm watching it and I thought I
- 16:46Speaker 2: could do that very high level dancing.
- 16:48Speaker 3: I could be a roquette.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Well, they're tall, they tend to be tall, so in
- 16:53Speaker 2: that I'm lacking. They're also they got long legs. They
- 16:56Speaker 2: got long legs. I'm also lacking in that. However, the
- 17:01Speaker 2: main thing about being a roquette is the kicks, right,
- 17:04Speaker 2: those chorus line kicks that they do, and I think
- 17:10Speaker 2: that I could do that. I think if I had
- 17:14Speaker 2: just tried a little, I could I could do a
- 17:16Speaker 2: roquettes performance. I'm not a good dancer either, but I
- 17:21Speaker 2: just feel like I.
- 17:22Speaker 4: Can do right.
- 17:23Speaker 5: We're lacking in a leg length, yeah, and then we're
- 17:29Speaker 5: lacking in dancing ability.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Yes, However, I still think that I can do it.
- 17:34Speaker 2: And when I said this to you, Gab, you were like, okay,
- 17:37Speaker 2: so do it, and you challenged me. You gave me
- 17:42Speaker 2: one month to essentially do a roquette routine of some sort.
- 17:47Speaker 5: That's right, And if you saw the video that was
- 17:49Speaker 5: on Facebook on Friday, we have changed it. I think
- 17:53Speaker 5: we said December seventh, that's a Sunday. It's a Sunday.
- 17:56Speaker 5: So we're going to change it to December eighth, which
- 17:59Speaker 5: is a month, so you'll even have an extra weekend
- 18:02Speaker 5: in there to really nail this routine down.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:04Speaker 2: So my goal is in the next month the big
- 18:07Speaker 2: thing that I'm I think everything else I an kind
- 18:09Speaker 2: of fake, but the kick I want to buy December eighth,
- 18:14Speaker 2: be able to do one of those roquette kicks where
- 18:17Speaker 2: I kick really high up. I am a naturally flexible person,
- 18:21Speaker 2: So I think if I do have that going for you. Yeah,
- 18:24Speaker 2: so I think if I really work hard, I can
- 18:27Speaker 2: I can do it. So obviously it's one thing to
- 18:31Speaker 2: talk about it. But I'm going to document this journey
- 18:36Speaker 2: and then obviously pulst it to the Big ninety eight
- 18:38Speaker 2: point seven Facebook page, to the Big ninety eight point
- 18:41Speaker 2: seven Instagram because I'm convinced that by December eighth, I
- 18:45Speaker 2: will do a satisfactory Rockets performance.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Mark my words.
- 18:52Speaker 5: If you are maybe a dancer or a dance instructor,
- 18:55Speaker 5: can you text us at seven oh one to eight
- 18:57Speaker 5: zero one nine eight seven. Maybe Angie could use some help.
- 19:00Speaker 5: Maybe we'll get some behind the scenes training footage. Oh,
- 19:03Speaker 5: I need all the help I can get. Have you
- 19:05Speaker 5: like West Vargo High School or something?
- 19:07Speaker 3: Yes, someone help me.
- 19:09Speaker 5: All right, Well, I issued the challenge. I'm cheering for you, Angie.
- 19:12Speaker 5: I hope you could do it. I don't know if
- 19:14Speaker 5: our expectations are a little high to do a dance
- 19:17Speaker 5: like a roquette, maybe you should aim to try to
- 19:20Speaker 5: do a dance like a shuttle.
- 19:22Speaker 2: You're so rude, You're so rude.
- 19:28Speaker 3: I need some good.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 19:34Speaker 1: good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 19:38Speaker 5: And hey, I want to remind you if you ever
- 19:39Speaker 5: had if something good ever happens, you know, at your school,
- 19:42Speaker 5: or your family's.
- 19:43Speaker 4: House, or in your neighborhood or.
- 19:46Speaker 5: Wherever, you can always text those to me, and I'd
- 19:49Speaker 5: be more than willing to share them here on Big
- 19:50Speaker 5: ninety eight point seven at seven oh one too eight
- 19:53Speaker 5: zero one nine eight seven, or message on Facebook whatever
- 19:55Speaker 5: it is. If you think, hey, that'd be kind of
- 19:57Speaker 5: cool for Big ninety eight point seven to talk about it,
- 19:59Speaker 5: go ahead and send those to me.
- 20:00Speaker 4: I'd love to share them here.
- 20:02Speaker 5: Last Thursday, there were some third graders at this elementary
- 20:05Speaker 5: school here in the Midwest, all right, and they alerted
- 20:07Speaker 5: authorities to a house fire that they spotted outside their
- 20:11Speaker 5: classroom window during a.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Reading lesson Oh my Gosh.
- 20:14Speaker 5: One student named shay Lynn she noticed the flames, and
- 20:17Speaker 5: then another student named Emmett immediately told their teacher, who
- 20:21Speaker 5: called nine to one one.
- 20:23Speaker 4: Now.
- 20:23Speaker 5: Firefighters made it to the house, and they actually rescued
- 20:27Speaker 5: a dog that was inside stuck in the home. The
- 20:31Speaker 5: dog was initially kind of lethargic, but quickly recovered after
- 20:35Speaker 5: being given some oxygen, and the students got to watch
- 20:38Speaker 5: as the firefighters worked to get the blaze under control. Now, thankfully,
- 20:41Speaker 5: you know, one was home during the fire, but they
- 20:43Speaker 5: did save the dog, and the firefighters later visited the
- 20:46Speaker 5: school to thank the students. They taught the class about
- 20:49Speaker 5: safety and encouraged children not to be afraid to approach
- 20:52Speaker 5: firefighters during emergency.
- 20:55Speaker 2: So, oh, my gosh, you know what I never think
- 20:57Speaker 2: about until right now, this moment that sometimes I've seen
- 21:02Speaker 2: like smoke or something coming from a building, right and
- 21:05Speaker 2: I think there's the assumption that oh, someone clearly called
- 21:08Speaker 2: it in, or like someone's cooking someone.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Yeah, or some you know what I mean. Yeah, but
- 21:13Speaker 3: like you never know.
- 21:15Speaker 2: And so these kids they didn't just think, well, someone's
- 21:18Speaker 2: taking care of that.
- 21:19Speaker 3: They were like, no, we got to spring into action.
- 21:21Speaker 3: That's amazing.
- 21:22Speaker 5: Yes, some incredible third graders and uh, maybe not necessarily
- 21:26Speaker 5: an exciting day, perhaps definitely a day that they'll remember
- 21:30Speaker 5: for a long long time. The world is full of
- 21:32Speaker 5: nice people. If you can't find one, you gotta be one.
