1:29
Well,
1:30
Blaine,
1:30
welcome
1:30
to
1:30
the
1:31
Butcher
1:31
Shop.
1:32
Thanks
1:33
for
1:33
having
1:33
me,
1:33
man.
1:34
Oh,
1:34
dude,
1:34
I'm
1:35
excited.
1:35
I'm
1:35
honored
1:35
that
1:36
you
1:36
are
1:36
going
1:36
to
1:36
be
1:36
the
1:36
first
1:36
guest
1:37
on
1:37
the
1:37

1:37
new
1:37

1:39
Yeah,
1:40
I'm
1:40
excited
1:40
to
1:40
hear
1:41
all
1:41
the
1:41
stories
1:42
that
1:42
are
1:42
going
1:42
to
1:42
be
1:42
coming
1:43
from
1:43
this.
1:44
It's
1:44
a
1:44
great
1:44
idea,
1:45
great
1:45
concept,
1:46
and
1:46
I
1:47
think
1:47
all
1:47
the
1:47
listeners
1:48
are
1:48
going
1:48
to
1:48
love
1:49
the
1:49
history
1:50
of
1:51
streamer
1:53
evolution.
1:53
And
1:54
you
1:54
know,
1:55
there's
1:55
been
1:55
a
1:55
lot
1:55
of
1:55
legends
1:56
that
1:56
I've
1:56
been
1:57
very
1:58
fortunate
1:58
to
1:59
know
1:59
and
2:00
been
2:00
mentored
2:00
by.
2:01
And
2:02
you
2:03
know,
2:03
I
2:03
look
2:03
forward
2:04
to
2:04
seeing
2:04
what
2:04
all
2:04
you
2:05
do
2:05
with
2:05
this.
2:05
I
2:06
know
2:06
we've
2:06
been
2:06
talking
2:06
about
2:06
it
2:07
for
2:07
quite
2:07
a
2:07
while.
2:08
Glad
2:08
to
2:09
see
2:09
it
2:09
coming
2:09
to
2:10
fruition.
2:10
Yeah,
2:11
absolutely.
2:11
And
2:12
so
2:12
folks,
2:12
just
2:12
the
2:12
general
2:13
format
2:13
for
2:13
the
2:14
interviews,
2:14
and
2:14
we've
2:14
got
2:14
some
2:15
other
2:15
types
2:15
of
2:15
content
2:16
coming
2:16
too,
2:16
is
2:17
I'm
2:17
going
2:17
to
2:17
take
2:18
one
2:18
pattern
2:19
per
2:19
tire
2:20
because
2:20
we
2:20
just
2:20
can't
2:21
cover
2:21
everything
2:21
that
2:22
like
2:22
Blaine's
2:23
done
2:23
in
2:23
one
2:23
interview
2:24
or
2:24
Russ
2:25
or
2:25
Tommy
2:25
or
2:25
Kelly.
2:26
And
2:27
we're
2:27
just
2:27
going
2:27
to
2:27
pull
2:27
that
2:27
Pattern
2:28
apart.
2:28
So
2:28
hopefully
2:29
you
2:29
like
2:29
it.
2:30
And
2:31
you
2:31
know,
2:31
Blaine,
2:31
if
2:31
we
2:32
kind
2:32
of
2:32
jump
2:32
back
2:32
in
2:32
the
2:32
time
2:33
machine,
2:33
go
2:33
way,
2:34
way,
2:34
way
2:34
back
2:34
in
2:34
time
2:35
to
2:35
the
2:35
pre
2:35
T
2:36
bone
2:36
time.
2:36
Right.
2:40
What
2:40
was
2:40
the
2:40
fishing
2:41
problem
2:41
you
2:41
were
2:41
trying
2:41
to
2:41
solve
2:42
when
2:42
you
2:42
started
2:42
designing
2:43
the
2:43
t
2:43
bone?
2:45
Well,
2:46
I
2:46
thought
2:46
it'd
2:47
be
2:47
a
2:47
great
2:47
idea
2:48
to
2:48
start
2:48
being
2:48
a
2:49
fly
2:49
fishing
2:49
muskie
2:50
guide.
2:51
And
2:51
that
2:52
all
2:52
goes
2:52
back
2:53
way
2:53
back
2:53
to
2:53
when
2:54
I
2:54
was
2:54
like
2:55
9
2:55
or
2:55
10
2:56
years
2:56
old,
2:57
early
2:57
teens
2:57
or
2:58
whatnot,
2:58
and
2:59
fishing
2:59
with
3:00
my
3:00
uncle
3:00
on
3:00
the
3:01
river
3:01
and
3:02
hooking
3:03
up
3:03
with
3:03
a
3:04
muskie
3:05
on
3:06
a
3:06
jerk
3:06
bait
3:07
and
3:09
didn't
3:09
know
3:09
they
3:09
were
3:09
in
3:10
there,
3:10
didn't
3:10
know
3:10
what
3:10
a
3:10
muskie
3:11
was
3:11
at
3:11
that
3:11
time.
3:11
And
3:12
then
3:13
moving
3:13
forward
3:14
a
3:14
little
3:14
bit
3:14
with
3:14
Dahlberg
3:16
and
3:16
his
3:16
show
3:16
with
3:17
Walker's,
3:17
I
3:17
mean
3:18
not
3:18
Flip,
3:19
but
3:20
Dahlberg's
3:20
the
3:21
hunt
3:21
for
3:21
big
3:21
fish.
3:23
He
3:23
was
3:23
catching
3:24
muskies
3:24
on
3:24
a
3:24
fly
3:25
and
3:25
I
3:25
was
3:25
like,
3:26
well
3:26
I've
3:26
got
3:26
that
3:26
in
3:26
my
3:26
backyard.
3:27
And
3:27
it
3:27
re
3:28
sparked
3:29
that
3:29
interest
3:29
of
3:30
trying
3:30
to
3:31
make
3:31
that
3:31
happen
3:31
and
3:32
guiding
3:32
for
3:32
smallmouth
3:33
bass
3:34
later
3:35
on
3:35
moving
3:36
into
3:36
the
3:36
90s,
3:38
you
3:38
know,
3:39
I'd
3:39
see
3:39
muskies
3:40
and
3:40
their
3:41
normal
3:41
spots
3:42
during
3:42
different
3:42
parts
3:43
of
3:43
the
3:43
year.
3:43
And
3:45
started
3:45
fishing
3:45
with
3:46
a
3:46
buddy
3:46
of
3:46
mine
3:47
that
3:47
was
3:48
the
3:48
only
3:48
person
3:48
I
3:49
knew
3:49
growing
3:49
up
3:51
that
3:51
fly
3:52
fished.
3:53
And
3:53
he
3:53
ended
3:54
up
3:54
as
3:54
we
3:55
graduated
3:55
high
3:55
school
3:56
and
3:57
and
3:57
all
3:58
he
3:58
met
3:58
a
3:58
guy
3:59
that
3:59
he
4:00
started
4:01
fishing
4:01
with
4:01
conventionally
4:02
with
4:02
muskie
4:03
and
4:04
us
4:05
being
4:05
good
4:05
buddies
4:06
and
4:06
learning
4:07
the
4:07
fly
4:07
stuff
4:08
by
4:08
Harrison
4:08
Steves
4:09
and
4:09
Steve
4:09
Heiner.
4:10
Early
4:10
on
4:10
we
4:10
were
4:11
like
4:11
15,
4:11
16
4:12
years
4:12
old.
4:13
He
4:14
was
4:14
the
4:14
only
4:14
person
4:15
like
4:15
I
4:15
said
4:15
that
4:15
back
4:15
then,
4:16
way
4:16
before
4:16
Internet
4:17
and
4:17
all
4:17
that
4:17
stuff,
4:17
that
4:18
was
4:18
the
4:18
only
4:18
body,
4:19
only
4:19
person
4:19
I
4:20
knew
4:20
that
4:20
fly
4:20
fished.
4:21
So
4:21
we
4:21
became
4:21
friends
4:22
and
4:22
he
4:23
was
4:23
a
4:23
good
4:23
tire
4:24
in
4:24
his
4:24
own
4:24
right
4:25
and
4:26
understood
4:26
fishing
4:27
and
4:28
all
4:28
aspects,
4:29
not
4:30
just
4:30
fly.
4:30
And
4:30
he
4:30
was
4:31
a
4:31
good
4:31
all
4:31
around
4:31
angler.
4:32
Still
4:32
is.
4:33
His
4:33
name's
4:34
David
4:34
Gar.
4:35
Good
4:35
buddy.
4:35
Even
4:35
though
4:35
we
4:36
don't
4:36
see
4:36
each
4:36
other
4:36
much,
4:37
but
4:38
seeing
4:38
these
4:39
muskies
4:39
in
4:39
these
4:39
different
4:40
areas
4:40
and
4:40
wanting
4:41
to
4:41
kind
4:41
of
4:41
learn
4:41
more
4:42
about
4:42
them
4:42
and,
4:43
and
4:43
all
4:43
I
4:44
just
4:44
wasn't
4:44
getting
4:44
a
4:44
lot
4:44
of
4:45
interest
4:45
in
4:46
and
4:46
throwing
4:47
different
4:48
things
4:48
and
4:48
you're,
4:48
you're
4:49
Talking
4:49
about
4:51
early
4:52
90s,
4:53
mid-90s
4:53
time
4:54
frame
4:55
and
4:56
that
4:56
same
4:57
time
4:57
era.
4:58
I
4:58
started
4:58
going
4:59
to
4:59
shows
4:59
with
5:00
Harry
5:00
Steves
5:01
who
5:01
was
5:01
my
5:02
mentor
5:02
and
5:03
we
5:03
started
5:04
Loco
5:04
Foam
5:04
together.
5:06
I
5:07
was
5:07
introduced
5:07
to
5:08
Bob
5:08
Popovic
5:10
who's
5:11
going
5:11
to
5:11
be
5:11
mentioned
5:12
probably
5:12
a
5:12
lot
5:13
during
5:13
your
5:13
interviews
5:14
and
5:14
all.
5:14
But
5:15
Bobby,
5:15
we
5:15
just
5:16
lost
5:16
here
5:16
back
5:17
in
5:17
November
5:18
was
5:18
always
5:19
just
5:20
a
5:20
huge
5:21
sounding
5:21
board
5:21
for
5:22
me.
5:22
Good
5:22
friend
5:23
and,
5:23
and
5:24
mentor
5:24
and
5:26
his
5:26
reverse
5:27
style
5:27
of
5:28
tying
5:29
was
5:29
kind
5:30
of
5:30
my
5:31
aha
5:31
moment
5:32
with
5:32
a
5:32
lot
5:32
of
5:32
things
5:32
with
5:33
starting
5:34
to
5:34
get
5:35
muskies
5:35
to
5:36
start
5:36
looking
5:36
at
5:36
what
5:37
I'm
5:37
throwing,
5:37
because
5:37
I
5:38
fished
5:38
with
5:38
my
5:38
buddy
5:39
Dave,
5:40
and
5:41
after
5:42
my
5:42
guided
5:42
trips,
5:43
I'd
5:43
meet
5:43
him
5:43
and
5:44
we'd
5:44
go
5:44
out
5:44
to
5:44
spots
5:45
where
5:45
I
5:45
knew
5:45
fish
5:46
were
5:46
hanging
5:47
because
5:47
I'd
5:47
seen
5:47
him
5:48
many
5:48
times
5:49
and,
5:49
you
5:50
know,
5:50
he'd
5:50
give
5:50
me
5:51
the
5:51
first
5:52
shot
5:53
at
5:53
fishing,
5:54
and
5:54
I'd
5:54
throw
5:55
different
5:55
deceiver
5:56
style
5:56
flies
5:56
and
5:56
whatnot
5:57
and
5:58
occasionally
5:59
maybe
5:59
get
5:59
a
5:59
follow.
6:00
Usually
6:01
nothing.
6:01
And
6:02
then
6:02
after
6:02
that
6:03
hour,
6:03
I
6:03
would
6:03
say,
6:03
well,
6:03
you,
6:04
you
6:04
throw
6:05
gear
6:05
at
6:05
him
6:06
and
6:06
he'd
6:07
get
6:07
a
6:07
bite
6:07
within
6:07
the
6:08
first
6:08
couple
6:08
casts
6:09
after,
6:09
you
6:09
know,
6:10
And
6:10
I
6:10
was
6:10
like,
6:10
well,
6:10
I'm
6:11
just
6:11
not
6:11
throwing
6:11
stuff
6:11
that's
6:12
getting
6:12
their
6:12
attention
6:13
or
6:13
creating
6:14
those
6:14
triggers
6:15
that
6:15
make
6:15
these
6:15
fish
6:16
want
6:16
to
6:16
eat.
6:16
Right.
6:17
So
6:18
that
6:19
was
6:19
a
6:19
real
6:19
learning
6:20
curve
6:20
for
6:20
me
6:20
because
6:20
I
6:21
didn't
6:21
have
6:21
anything
6:21
else
6:22
to
6:22
go
6:22
by.
6:22
And
6:23
then,
6:24
then
6:24
we
6:25
kind
6:25
of
6:25
go
6:26
into
6:26
the
6:26
Bob
6:26
Popovic
6:28
beast
6:28
fly
6:29
reverse
6:29
tying
6:30
thing
6:30
back
6:30
when
6:31
he
6:31
started
6:31
playing
6:31
with
6:32
that,
6:32
and
6:33
that
6:33
really
6:33
changed
6:34
everything.
6:37
So
6:38
I
6:38
don't
6:38
know
6:38
if
6:38
you
6:38
want
6:38
me
6:38
to
6:39
keep
6:39
going
6:39
on
6:39
that
6:39
or
6:40
any.
6:40
Absolutely,
6:41
keep
6:41
going.
6:42
Okay.
6:43
So.
6:44
So
6:45
anyway,
6:46
Bob's
6:48
beef
6:48
flies
6:49
started
6:49
getting
6:49
some
6:49
attention,
6:51
so
6:51
I
6:51
just
6:51
kind
6:52
of
6:52
started
6:52
putting
6:52
my
6:53
own
6:53
twists
6:53
on
6:53
it.
6:54
And,
6:54
you
6:55
know,
6:55
muskies
6:56
don't
6:56
give
6:56
you
6:56
a
6:56
lot
6:57
of
6:58
positive
7:00
reinforcement,
7:01
but
7:01
you
7:01
got
7:01
to
7:01
take
7:01
any
7:02
little
7:02
bit
7:02
you
7:02
get
7:03
from
7:03
them.
7:03
They
7:04
are
7:04
known
7:04
as
7:04
the
7:04
fish
7:05
of
7:05
10,000
7:05
cast.
7:06
One
7:06
of
7:06
the
7:06
top
7:07
five
7:07
fish
7:07
in
7:07
the
7:08
world
7:08
to
7:08
try
7:08
to
7:08
get
7:08
on
7:09
any
7:09
tackle,
7:10
you
7:10
know,
7:10
so.
7:12
So
7:12
I'd
7:13
start
7:13
just
7:13
kind
7:13
of
7:15
with
7:16
sweat
7:16
equity
7:17
and
7:17
blood,
7:17
sweat
7:18
and
7:18
tears,
7:18
just
7:19
being
7:19
stubborn
7:20
and
7:20
not
7:20
giving
7:20
up.
7:21
Just
7:21
started
7:21
picking
7:22
away
7:22
at
7:22
it
7:22
and
7:22
figuring
7:23
out,
7:23
you
7:24
know,
7:24
what
7:24
are
7:24
these
7:25
triggers
7:25
and
7:25
all
7:26
this
7:26
stuff.
7:26
And,
7:27
you
7:27
know,
7:27
I
7:28
met
7:28
a,
7:28
a
7:29
friend
7:29
that's
7:30
a
7:30
fisheries
7:30
biologist
7:31
and
7:31
studies
7:32
fish
7:33
vision
7:33
and
7:33
understands
7:34
their
7:35
biologic
7:35
makeup.
7:36
His
7:36
name's
7:36
Andre
7:37
or
7:37
Disky.
7:40
And
7:40
he.
7:41
I
7:41
would
7:41
just
7:42
bounce
7:42
ideas
7:42
off
7:42
of
7:43
him
7:43
and
7:43
he's
7:44
a,
7:44
a
7:45
fly
7:45
designer
7:45
with
7:46
uncle
7:46
feather
7:46
merchants.
7:47
And,
7:48
you
7:48
know,
7:48
even
7:48
though
7:49
he's
7:49
his
7:49
main
7:50
feature
7:50
and
7:51
main
7:51
target
7:51
is
7:51
saltwater
7:52
species,
7:53
you
7:53
know,
7:53
he
7:54
has,
7:54
he
7:54
has
7:54
a
7:54
broad
7:55
view
7:56
of
7:56
different
7:56
fish
7:57
and
7:57
how
7:57
they
7:57
view
7:58
things.
7:58
And
7:59
I
7:59
was
7:59
just
7:59
talking
8:00
to
8:00
him
8:00
about
8:00
triggers
8:01
and
8:01
fish
8:01
and
8:01
they're.
8:02
And
8:02
he
8:02
starts
8:02
talking
8:03
to
8:03
me
8:03
about
8:03
biologic
8:04
makeup
8:04
and
8:04
what
8:04
makes
8:04
them
8:05
work.
8:05
And
8:06
we're
8:06
talking
8:07
about
8:07
the
8:08
gear
8:08
and
8:08
the
8:08
different
8:09
lures
8:09
that
8:10
my
8:10
buddy
8:10
was
8:10
getting
8:11
fish
8:11
on.
8:11
And
8:11
he
8:12
would
8:12
explain
8:12
that
8:12
to
8:13
me
8:13
and,
8:13
you
8:14
know,
8:14
look
8:14
at
8:14
how
8:14
they're
8:15
designed
8:15
and
8:15
what
8:16
they
8:16
do.
8:16
And
8:16
that's.
8:16
Just
8:17
started
8:18
working
8:18
from
8:19
there
8:19
and,
8:19
and
8:19
started
8:20
designing
8:20
stuff
8:21
and,
8:21
and
8:22
every
8:22
little
8:22
bit
8:22
I
8:23
got,
8:23
it
8:23
was
8:23
a
8:24
positive,
8:24
right?
8:24
So
8:25
I
8:25
started,
8:26
you
8:26
know,
8:26
getting
8:27
follows
8:27
or
8:28
occasionally
8:29
get
8:29
a
8:29
fish
8:29
to
8:30
come
8:30
in
8:30
on
8:31
an
8:31
8
8:31
figure
8:31
8
8:32
or
8:32
whatnot,
8:32
and
8:33
just
8:33
started
8:33
picking
8:34
away
8:34
at
8:34
it.
8:34
And,
8:35
you
8:36
know,
8:36
the
8:36
beast
8:36
fly
8:37
was
8:37
a
8:37
big
8:37
deal
8:37
because
8:38
I
8:38
had
8:38
the
8:38
profile
8:39
silhouette
8:39
and
8:40
had
8:40
the
8:40
presence
8:40
in
8:40
the
8:41
water
8:41
to
8:41
make
8:41
them
8:42
become
8:42
a
8:42
little
8:42
bit
8:42
more
8:43
interested.
8:44
And
8:44
I
8:45
went
8:45
so
8:45
far
8:46
back
8:46
in
8:46
the
8:46
day
8:46
that
8:47
my
8:47
buddy
8:47
was
8:47
using
8:47
these
8:48
bucktails,
8:49
and
8:49
we
8:49
call
8:49
them
8:50
bucktails
8:50
because
8:50
it's,
8:51
they're
8:51
tied
8:52
with
8:52
bucktail,
8:52
but
8:52
they
8:52
have
8:53
a,
8:53
a
8:54
big
8:54
spinner
8:54
blade
8:55
in
8:55
front
8:55
of
8:55
them.
8:56
So
8:56
I
8:56
even
8:57
made,
8:57
I
8:57
even
8:58
took
8:58
it
8:58
to
8:58
that
8:58
extreme
8:59
where
8:59
I
9:00
basically
9:01
bent
9:02
wire,
9:03
made
9:03
a
9:03
long
9:05
shank,
9:05
tied
9:05
a
9:06
bucktail
9:06
at
9:06
the
9:06
back
9:06
end
9:07
with
9:07
a
9:07
hook
9:08
and
9:09
put
9:09
a
9:09
clevis
9:10
on
9:10
there
9:10
where
9:11
in
9:11
beads,
9:11
where
9:11
it
9:12
would
9:12
spin
9:12
around.
9:12
And
9:13
then
9:13
I
9:13
took
9:14
a
9:15
paper
9:15
clip
9:15
and
9:15
bent
9:16
it,
9:17
folded
9:17
it
9:17
over
9:18
to
9:18
make
9:18
a
9:18
U
9:19
shape
9:19
and
9:19
then
9:19
bent
9:19
it
9:20
to
9:20
make
9:20
a
9:20
spoon
9:20
shape
9:21
and
9:21
then
9:21
took
9:23
tape,
9:24
which
9:24
is
9:26
more
9:26
like
9:26
Christmas
9:27
ornament
9:28
or
9:28
Christmas
9:30
ribbon,
9:31
and
9:32
I
9:32
took
9:32
3M77
9:35
spray
9:35
and
9:35
sprayed
9:36
it
9:36
to
9:36
where
9:36
it
9:37
made
9:37
the
9:38
shape
9:38
of
9:38
that,
9:39
that
9:39
bent
9:40
spoon.
9:40
And
9:41
I
9:41
took
9:41
a
9:42
spoon
9:42
and
9:42
then
9:42
traced
9:43
the
9:43
outline
9:43
of
9:44
that
9:44
and
9:44
cut
9:44
it
9:44
out
9:44
into
9:45
a
9:45
spoon
9:45
and
9:45
epoxied
9:46
it.
9:46
So
9:47
then
9:47
I
9:47
had
9:47
a
9:47
light
9:47
enough
9:48
lure
9:49
fly
9:50
to
9:50
be
9:50
able
9:50
to
9:50
throw,
9:51
and
9:52
it
9:52
worked,
9:52
but
9:52
it
9:53
was
9:53
terrible
9:53
to
9:54
cast.
9:54
So
9:54
it
9:55
wasn't
9:55
fly
9:55
fishing
9:56
at
9:56
that
9:56
point.
9:56
But
9:56
I
9:56
did
9:56
get
9:57
interested
9:57
in
9:57
fish
9:58
and
9:58
caught
9:58
fish
9:58
on
9:58
it.
9:59
But
9:59
it
9:59
was
9:59
just
10:00
like,
10:00
this
10:00
is
10:00
not,
10:01
this
10:01
is
10:01
not
10:01
what
10:01
fly
10:01
fishing
10:02
is
10:02
all
10:02
about.
10:03
Might
10:03
as
10:03
well
10:03
be
10:03
throwing
10:03
a
10:04
bait
10:04
caster.
10:05
So
10:06
going
10:06
back
10:06
to
10:07
Bob's
10:08
deal,
10:10
one
10:10
of
10:10
the
10:10
big
10:11
things
10:11
was,
10:11
you
10:12
know,
10:12
he
10:12
just
10:12
had
10:12
that
10:13
profile
10:13
silhouette
10:14
that
10:14
made,
10:14
that
10:14
was
10:14
getting
10:15
interest,
10:15
but
10:15
it
10:16
wasn't
10:16
a
10:17
hundred
10:17
percent
10:17
triggering
10:18
him
10:18
because
10:19
his
10:19
whole
10:20
concept
10:21
was
10:21
to
10:21
create
10:22
that
10:22
illusion
10:23
of
10:23
mass
10:23
and
10:23
profile
10:24
and
10:24
silhouette,
10:25
but
10:25
still
10:26
making
10:26
it
10:26
castable
10:27
and
10:27
all.
10:28
And
10:28
even
10:28
though
10:29
it
10:29
was
10:30
there,
10:30
it
10:31
just
10:31
didn't
10:31
have
10:31
that
10:32
final
10:32
trigger
10:33
that
10:33
I
10:33
was
10:33
needing.
10:34
Which
10:34
muskies,
10:35
they're
10:36
designed
10:36
with
10:36
big
10:37
teeth,
10:38
long
10:38
mouths,
10:39
long
10:40
body
10:40
shapes.
10:41
So
10:41
fish
10:42
like
10:42
that,
10:42
I've
10:42
learned
10:42
over
10:43
years
10:43
and
10:43
trial
10:44
and
10:44
error
10:44
and
10:44
fishing
10:45
and
10:45
guiding
10:45
that
10:46
fish
10:46
that
10:46
are
10:46
shaped
10:47
like
10:47
that,
10:48
and
10:48
this
10:48
includes
10:49
a
10:49
big
10:49
brown
10:49
trout,
10:49
once
10:50
they
10:50
get
10:50
in
10:50
that
10:51
20
10:51
plus
10:51
inch
10:51
range,
10:53
their
10:53
mouths
10:53
get
10:54
bigger,
10:54
they
10:54
get,
10:54
they
10:55
get
10:55
bigger
10:55
teeth,
10:56
and
10:56
they're
10:56
designed
10:57
to
10:57
grasp
10:58
and
10:58
hold
10:59
onto
10:59
Their
10:59
prey
10:59
items.
11:00
So
11:01
one
11:01
of
11:01
the
11:01
big
11:01
things
11:02
that
11:02
Andre
11:02
was
11:03
telling
11:03
me
11:04
that
11:05
what
11:05
you
11:05
need
11:05
to
11:06
start
11:06
designing
11:06
is
11:06
there
11:07
are
11:07
flies
11:07
that
11:07
will
11:07
move,
11:08
turn
11:08
sideways
11:09
in
11:09
the
11:09
water
11:09
and
11:09
show
11:10
pro
11:10
profile
11:11
and
11:11
silhouette,
11:12
much
11:12
like
11:12
a
11:12
jackknife
11:13
or.
11:13
Or.
11:13
Or
11:14
truck
11:14
jackknifing
11:15
or,
11:15
you
11:16
know,
11:16
something
11:16
sliding
11:17
in
11:17
the
11:17
water
11:17
to
11:18
show
11:18
profile
11:19
silhouette.
11:19
Because
11:20
obviously,
11:20
I
11:20
can't
11:21
get
11:21
that
11:21
thump
11:22
that
11:22
you
11:22
get
11:22
from
11:23
the
11:23
blade
11:23
of
11:23
a
11:23
spinner
11:24
bait,
11:24
and
11:25
that's
11:25
the
11:25
main
11:25
trigger
11:25
there.
11:26
That
11:26
was
11:26
speed.
11:28
So
11:29
you
11:30
can't
11:30
really
11:30
get
11:30
that
11:30
with
11:31
a
11:31
fly.
11:31
So
11:31
I
11:32
had
11:32
to
11:32
create
11:32
ways
11:33
of
11:33
showing
11:34
profile
11:34
having
11:35
enough
11:35
mass,
11:36
having
11:37
enough.
11:39
I
11:39
guess
11:40
the
11:40
term
11:40
would
11:40
be.
11:41
I'm
11:41
not
11:41
gonna
11:41
say
11:42
push
11:42
water,
11:42
because
11:43
Larry
11:43
would
11:43
shoot
11:44
me
11:44
because
11:44
he
11:44
hates
11:45
that.
11:45
It's
11:45
like
11:46
fingernails
11:46
on
11:46
a
11:47
chalkboard.
11:48
But
11:49
flies
11:49
don't
11:50
push
11:50
water
11:50
because
11:51
it's.
11:51
I'm
11:51
not
11:52
gonna
11:52
get
11:52
into
11:52
that.
11:52
I'll
11:53
let
11:53
Larry
11:53
talk
11:53
about
11:54
that.
11:54
But
11:54
anyway,
11:55
it's
11:55
just
11:56
having
11:56
enough
11:56
presence
11:57
in
11:57
the
11:57
water
11:57
to
11:57
make
11:58
these
11:58
fish
11:59
realize
11:59
that
12:00
it's
12:00
there,
12:00
and
12:00
it's
12:01
worth
12:01
taking
12:01
a
12:01
look
12:02
at.
12:02
Right.
12:03
So.
12:04
So
12:04
then
12:04
I
12:04
just
12:05
went
12:05
into
12:05
the.
12:06
What
12:06
is
12:06
now
12:07
the
12:07
T
12:07
bone
12:08
aspect,
12:09
where
12:10
Bob's
12:10
fly
12:11
was
12:11
so
12:11
light
12:13
and
12:14
airy,
12:15
but
12:16
it
12:16
didn't
12:16
have
12:16
some
12:16
of
12:17
those
12:17
triggers
12:18
that
12:18
I
12:18
needed.
12:19
But
12:19
so
12:19
I
12:20
just
12:20
basically
12:20
took
12:21
his
12:21
platform
12:22
and
12:22
added
12:22
to
12:23
it,
12:23
right.
12:23
So
12:24
I
12:24
put
12:24
in
12:24
these
12:25
spreader
12:25
dams
12:26
because
12:26
over
12:27
time,
12:28
a
12:28
lot
12:28
of
12:29
casting,
12:29
a
12:29
lot
12:29
of
12:29
fishing,
12:30
the
12:30
flies
12:31
would
12:31
start
12:31
collapsing
12:32
because
12:32
the
12:32
resiliency
12:33
of
12:34
the
12:34
bucktail
12:35
would
12:36
just
12:37
start
12:37
losing
12:37
its.
12:38
Its
12:38
shape
12:39
and
12:39
would
12:39
get
12:39
snaked
12:40
out
12:40
and
12:41
just
12:41
wouldn't
12:41
hold
12:42
that
12:42
profile
12:42
and
12:43
silhouette.
12:43
So
12:44
I
12:44
met
12:44
a
12:45
guy
12:45
at
12:46
these
12:46
shows
12:46
years
12:46
ago
12:47
who's
12:47
a
12:48
famous
12:48
striper
12:48
guy
12:49
out
12:49
of
12:50
northeast.
12:50
His
12:50
name's
12:51
Rich
12:51
Murphy,
12:52
who's
12:52
an
12:52
engineer,
12:54
and
12:54
he
12:55
showed
12:55
me
12:55
this
12:55
tubing
12:56
at
12:56
a
12:57
show.
12:57
He
12:57
said,
12:57
you
12:57
know,
12:58
I
12:58
played
12:58
with
12:58
this
12:58
stuff,
12:59
but
12:59
I
12:59
don't
12:59
know
12:59
you.
12:59
You're
13:00
innovative.
13:00
Maybe
13:00
you
13:01
can
13:01
figure
13:01
out
13:01
something
13:01
to
13:01
do
13:01
with
13:02
it.
13:03
So
13:03
I
13:03
brought
13:04
that
13:04
home,
13:04
started
13:04
playing
13:05
around
13:05
with
13:05
it,
13:05
and
13:06
again,
13:06
this
13:07
was.
13:07
This
13:07
would
13:07
have
13:07
been
13:08
in
13:08
the
13:08
90s,
13:09
mid-90s,
13:09
late-90s.
13:10
And
13:12
that's
13:12
where
13:12
the.
13:13
The.
13:13
The
13:13
body
13:14
tubing
13:14
came
13:14
from,
13:15
from
13:15
Rich
13:16
Murphy
13:16
and
13:17
started
13:18
messing
13:18
around
13:19
with
13:19
it
13:19
with
13:19
small
13:19
flies
13:20
at
13:20
first,
13:20
and
13:20
that's
13:20
where
13:21
those
13:21
fly
13:21
pas
13:22
came
13:22
from.
13:22
And,
13:23
you
13:23
know,
13:24
my
13:24
answer
13:24
to
13:25
a
13:25
rapala
13:25
fly,
13:26
where
13:26
I
13:26
could
13:26
a
13:26
lip
13:27
on
13:27
it
13:27
and
13:27
get
13:27
that
13:28
same
13:28
action.
13:28
But
13:29
also,
13:29
I
13:30
went
13:30
away
13:30
from
13:30
that
13:30
because
13:31
it
13:31
wasn't
13:31
a
13:31
great
13:31
casting
13:32
fly.
13:32
And
13:33
although
13:33
it
13:33
does
13:34
work
13:34
well,
13:34
it
13:35
just.
13:36
It's
13:36
just
13:36
not
13:37
Fly
13:37
fishing.
13:38
So
13:39
I
13:39
just
13:40
started
13:40
playing
13:40
around
13:41
with
13:41
that.
13:41
I
13:41
was
13:41
thinking
13:41
about,
13:42
man,
13:42
how
13:42
can
13:42
I
13:45
create
13:45
this
13:46
big
13:47
body
13:47
that's
13:47
going
13:48
to
13:48
hold
13:48
up
13:48
and
13:48
also
13:49
divert
13:49
water?
13:50
And
13:50
that's
13:50
when
13:51
I
13:51
started
13:51
figuring
13:51
out
13:52
how
13:52
you
13:52
when.
13:53
By
13:53
diverting
13:54
water
13:54
flow
13:54
through
13:55
the
13:55
fly,
13:56
you
13:56
can
13:56
slow
13:57
things
13:57
down
13:57
and
13:58
create
13:58
a
13:58
pause
13:59
and
13:59
a
13:59
stop
13:59
and
14:00
the
14:00
fly
14:00
will
14:00
turn
14:00
left
14:01
or
14:01
right
14:01
up
14:01
and
14:01
down.
14:02
And
14:02
it
14:03
started
14:03
showing
14:03
profile.
14:05
So
14:06
I
14:06
just
14:06
kept
14:07
playing
14:07
with
14:07
that
14:07
idea.
14:08
There's
14:09
a
14:09
lot
14:09
of
14:09
ways
14:10
you
14:10
can
14:10
achieve
14:10
that,
14:10
but
14:11
that
14:11
was
14:11
an
14:11
easier
14:12
way
14:12
and
14:12
a
14:12
more
14:13
consistent
14:13
way
14:13
to
14:14
get
14:14
a
14:14
profile
14:15
silhouette
14:16
and
14:16
have
14:16
the
14:16
same
14:17
consistency
14:18
throughout.
14:18
Many
14:19
flies
14:19
tied
14:20
right.
14:20
So
14:21
I
14:21
started
14:21
putting
14:21
these
14:22
body
14:22
dams
14:23
in
14:24
with
14:24
the
14:24
body
14:25
tubing,
14:27
which
14:27
is
14:27
basically
14:28
for
14:28
those
14:28
that
14:28
may
14:29
not
14:29
know
14:29
about
14:29
it.
14:29
It's.
14:30
It's
14:30
basically
14:31
kind
14:32
of
14:32
a
14:32
Chinese
14:32
finger
14:33
puzzle.
14:33
It's
14:34
made
14:34
out
14:34
of
14:34
nylon.
14:35
So
14:36
when
14:36
you
14:36
stretch
14:37
it
14:37
or
14:37
push
14:37
it
14:38
together,
14:38
it'll
14:39
expand
14:39
two
14:39
to
14:40
three
14:40
times
14:40
its
14:40
normal
14:41
size.
14:42
So
14:42
I
14:42
would
14:42
melt
14:43
it
14:43
in,
14:44
tie
14:44
it
14:44
in,
14:45
cut
14:45
it
14:45
to
14:46
a
14:46
certain
14:46
length,
14:47
like
14:47
2
14:47
inches,
14:48
melt
14:48
that
14:48
in,
14:49
and
14:49
then
14:49
fold
14:49
it
14:49
over
14:49
itself
14:50
and
14:51
then
14:51
tie
14:51
it
14:51
back
14:52
down
14:52
and
14:52
then
14:52
push
14:52
it
14:53
back
14:53
where
14:53
it's.
14:53
It
14:54
created
14:54
this
14:55
cone
14:56
or.
14:56
Or
14:58
trumpet.
14:59
It
14:59
looked
14:59
like
15:00
a
15:00
trumpet
15:00
for.
15:00
But
15:01
when
15:01
you
15:01
folded
15:01
it
15:01
back,
15:02
it
15:02
became
15:02
like
15:02
a
15:03
perfect
15:06
cone,
15:06
basically,
15:07
or
15:07
a
15:08
wider.
15:10
I
15:10
don't
15:10
know
15:10
what
15:11
term
15:11
you
15:11
want
15:12
to
15:12
use,
15:12
but
15:12
it
15:12
just
15:12
made
15:12
this
15:13
more
15:13
of
15:13
a.
15:17
I
15:17
don't
15:17
know
15:18
if
15:18
I
15:18
would
15:18
say
15:19
a
15:19
bell
15:20
shape,
15:20
but
15:20
it's
15:20
similar
15:21
to
15:21
that.
15:22
So
15:22
I
15:23
started
15:23
putting
15:24
fibers
15:24
in
15:24
front
15:25
of
15:25
it.
15:25
And
15:25
it
15:25
could
15:25
be
15:26
synthetic
15:26
or
15:26
bucktail,
15:28
and
15:28
you
15:29
know,
15:29
that
15:29
it
15:29
would
15:29
hold
15:30
its
15:30
shape
15:30
over
15:30
time.
15:31
But
15:31
also
15:31
what
15:31
I
15:32
figured
15:32
out
15:32
over
15:33
a
15:33
while,
15:34
one
15:34
of
15:34
the
15:34
main
15:35
features
15:35
of
15:35
it,
15:36
it
15:36
was
15:36
diverting
15:36
water
15:37
from
15:37
the
15:37
inner
15:38
part
15:38
of
15:38
the
15:39
fly
15:40
and
15:40
pushing
15:40
water
15:41
around
15:41
it,
15:42
sliding
15:42
it
15:43
outside
15:43
of
15:43
the
15:43
fly,
15:44
which
15:45
would
15:45
allow
15:45
it
15:46
to
15:46
swim.
15:49
Because
15:49
what
15:49
happens
15:50
when
15:50
you
15:51
allow
15:51
material
15:52
to
15:52
flow
15:53
through
15:54
uninterrupted
15:55
or
15:56
without
15:57
being
15:58
deterred
15:59
in
15:59
a
15:59
different
15:59
direction?
16:01
It
16:02
would
16:02
just
16:02
swim
16:02
straight,
16:03
right?
16:04
So
16:05
by
16:05
figuring
16:05
out
16:06
if
16:06
I
16:06
made
16:06
a
16:07
material
16:08
in
16:08
the
16:08
middle
16:09
of
16:09
the
16:09
fly
16:09
that
16:09
would
16:10
divert
16:10
water
16:10
around,
16:12
changed
16:12
everything,
16:13
which
16:13
led
16:13
into
16:14
the
16:14
game
16:14
changer
16:15
platform
16:15
that
16:15
I
16:16
probably
16:17
more
16:17
noted
16:18
for.
16:18
And
16:19
just
16:20
playing
16:20
with
16:20
that
16:20
and
16:21
different
16:21
sizes,
16:21
diameters
16:22
and
16:22
all
16:22
that
16:23
kind
16:23
of
16:23
stuff,
16:23
I
16:23
could
16:23
create
16:25
trout
16:26
size,
16:27
predator
16:27
stuff
16:28
to
16:28
big
16:29
musky
16:29
stuff,
16:29
to
16:30
big
16:31
striper
16:31
stuff,
16:32
to,
16:32
you
16:32
name
16:32
it.
16:33
So
16:33
that
16:34
was.
16:34
That
16:34
was
16:34
kind
16:35
of
16:35
the
16:35
big,
16:36
I
16:36
guess,
16:36
genesis
16:37
of
16:38
the
16:39
T
16:39
bone
16:39
concept
16:40
and
16:41
still
16:41
is
16:41
today.
16:42
And
16:42
I've
16:42
got
16:43
things
16:43
in
16:43
the
16:43
hopper
16:44
moving
16:45
forward
16:45
to
16:45
make
16:46
that
16:46
that.
16:46
That
16:47
process
16:47
a
16:47
lot
16:47
better
16:48
and
16:48
faster
16:48
and,
16:49
and
16:49
all
16:49
that.
16:49
And
16:49
that's
16:50
what
16:50
fly
16:50
design's
16:51
all
16:51
about,
16:51
is
16:52
taking
16:53
a
16:53
problem
16:53
and
16:53
trying
16:53
to
16:54
solve
16:54
it.
16:54
And
16:54
that's.
16:54
That's
16:55
the
16:55
bob
16:55
pop
16:55
a
16:55
big
16:56
way.
16:56
And
16:56
I'm
16:57
for
16:57
firm
16:57
believer
16:57
in
16:58
that.
16:59
Yeah.
16:59
Very,
17:00
very
17:00
neat.
17:00
So
17:00
as
17:00
you
17:00
were
17:00
kind
17:01
of
17:01
getting
17:01
dialed
17:02
in
17:02
on
17:02
that
17:02
original
17:03
T
17:03
bone
17:04
and
17:04
you'd
17:04
kind
17:05
of
17:05
gotten
17:05
the
17:05
reverse
17:06
tile
17:06
in
17:06
the
17:06
bucktail,
17:07
and
17:07
you'd
17:07
figured
17:07
out
17:07
how
17:08
to
17:08
make
17:08
these.
17:09
These
17:09
little
17:10
mesh
17:10
dams,
17:10
were
17:11
there
17:11
any
17:11
materials
17:12
that
17:12
you
17:12
played
17:12
with
17:12
that
17:12
just
17:13
didn't
17:13
make
17:13
the
17:13
final
17:14
cut
17:14
in
17:14
the
17:14
pattern?
17:17
You
17:17
know,
17:18
any.
17:18
Any
17:18
material
17:19
that
17:19
would
17:19
hold
17:19
water
17:21
became
17:21
a
17:22
big
17:22
negative
17:23
early
17:23
on
17:23
because
17:23
the
17:24
flies
17:24
became
17:25
so
17:25
big,
17:25
kind
17:26
of
17:26
up
17:26
to
17:26
15,
17:27
16
17:27
inches.
17:28
17
17:28
inches.
17:29
It
17:30
just
17:30
wasn't
17:30
fun
17:31
casting
17:31
it.
17:31
Right.
17:32
So
17:32
the
17:33
big
17:33
thing
17:33
was
17:34
finding
17:34
materials
17:35
that
17:35
would
17:35
shed
17:36
water,
17:37
but
17:37
would
17:37
hold
17:38
shape
17:39
and
17:39
make
17:39
casting
17:40
better
17:41
and
17:41
hold
17:42
up
17:42
to,
17:43
you
17:43
know,
17:45
hundreds
17:46
of
17:46
hours
17:47
on
17:47
the
17:47
water,
17:47
you
17:48
know,
17:48
that
17:48
wouldn't
17:48
break
17:49
down.
17:49
So,
17:50
you
17:50
know,
17:50
and
17:51
that's
17:51
kind
17:51
of
17:51
the.
17:52
The
17:52
combination
17:53
of
17:53
synthetics
17:54
and
17:54
natural
17:55
materials.
17:56
You
17:57
know,
17:57
bucktail
17:58
is,
17:58
you
17:59
know,
17:59
we
17:59
always.
17:59
And
17:59
feathers
18:00
are
18:00
nature's
18:01
armor.
18:02
And,
18:03
you
18:03
know
18:03
that
18:04
it's
18:04
a.
18:04
It's
18:04
a
18:04
very
18:05
resilient
18:05
material.
18:06
But
18:06
there's.
18:06
You
18:07
have
18:07
limitations
18:07
on
18:08
size
18:08
and
18:08
all
18:09
that
18:09
kind
18:09
of
18:09
stuff
18:09
and
18:10
availability.
18:10
Right.
18:11
So
18:11
that's
18:11
the
18:11
big
18:12
problem
18:12
with
18:12
natural
18:13
fibers.
18:14
Then
18:15
you
18:15
have
18:15
the
18:15
feathers
18:16
that
18:16
we
18:16
put
18:16
in
18:16
at
18:16
the
18:17
back
18:17
that
18:17
have
18:17
that
18:17
nice
18:18
swooshing
18:19
motion
18:20
at
18:20
the
18:20
end
18:20
and.
18:21
And
18:21
all
18:21
that,
18:21
and
18:22
they're
18:22
all
18:22
great.
18:22
And
18:22
I
18:23
love
18:23
natural
18:23
fibers,
18:24
but
18:24
you
18:24
have
18:24
limitations
18:25
there.
18:25
And
18:25
it's
18:26
not.
18:27
Not
18:27
really
18:27
marketable
18:28
to
18:29
the
18:29
masses
18:30
because
18:30
it's
18:30
hard
18:31
to.
18:31
To
18:31
get
18:31
consistency
18:32
on
18:32
that
18:32
stuff.
18:33
But
18:33
that's
18:33
where
18:33
synthetics
18:34
kind
18:34
of
18:34
come
18:34
in
18:35
and,
18:35
and
18:36
make.
18:36
And
18:36
kind
18:36
of,
18:37
I
18:37
guess,
18:39
make
18:39
up
18:39
for
18:40
what
18:40
natural
18:41
fibers
18:41
lack.
18:43
Yeah.
18:43
And
18:44
so
18:44
I
18:44
would
18:44
imagine.
18:44
I
18:44
mean,
18:45
is
18:45
it
18:45
true?
18:45
Cause
18:45
I
18:46
mean,
18:46
I
18:46
know
18:46
now,
18:46
you
18:46
know,
18:47
when
18:47
you
18:47
talk
18:47
about
18:47
the
18:47
changer
18:48
platform,
18:48
you
18:48
talk
18:49
support
18:50
and
18:50
veil.
18:51
You
18:51
know,
18:51
was
18:51
that
18:51
tubing,
18:52
reverse
18:52
tie.
18:53
Was
18:53
that
18:53
kind
18:53
of
18:53
the
18:53
beginning
18:54
of
18:54
that
18:54
concept
18:54
that's
18:55
kind
18:55
of
18:55
walked
18:55
through
18:56
from
18:56
the
18:56
T
18:56
bone
18:56
to
18:56
today?
18:58
100%.
18:59
It
18:59
was.
19:00
You
19:00
know,
19:01
once
19:01
I
19:01
learned
19:01
that
19:01
I
19:02
could
19:02
prop
19:02
up
19:03
materials
19:03
and
19:04
create
19:04
the
19:04
profile
19:05
that
19:06
I
19:06
wanted,
19:07
you
19:07
could
19:07
manipulate
19:08
that
19:08
stuff
19:08
and,
19:09
and
19:09
especially
19:10
the
19:10
size
19:10
dam
19:11
and.
19:11
And
19:11
the
19:11
angles
19:12
of
19:12
it.
19:12
You
19:12
could
19:12
make
19:13
it
19:13
taller
19:13
and
19:13
bigger
19:14
and
19:14
wider
19:15
to
19:15
create
19:15
a
19:16
bigger
19:16
body.
19:17
And
19:17
all
19:18
that
19:18
stuff
19:18
affected
19:18
how
19:19
the
19:19
fly
19:19
swam
19:19
in
19:20
the
19:20
water
19:20
and
19:20
how
19:20
it
19:20
reacted
19:21
to
19:21
what
19:21
you
19:22
did
19:22
with
19:22
your
19:22
stripping
19:23
line.
19:24
And
19:25
all
19:25
that
19:25
in
19:26
itself
19:26
was
19:27
always
19:27
a
19:27
learning
19:28
thing.
19:28
It
19:28
was
19:28
a
19:28
whole
19:29
process,
19:29
because
19:29
I
19:30
didn't
19:30
have
19:30
anybody
19:30
to
19:31
teach
19:31
me
19:31
any
19:31
of
19:31
this
19:32
stuff.
19:32
So
19:33
it
19:33
was
19:33
just,
19:34
you
19:34
know,
19:34
I
19:35
guess
19:35
my
19:35
God
19:35
given
19:36
talent
19:36
that,
19:36
you
19:37
know,
19:37
and
19:37
I
19:37
being
19:38
stubborn
19:38
and
19:39
too
19:39
dawn
19:40
to
19:40
quit.
19:41
Um,
19:42
it
19:42
just.
19:43
It
19:43
was
19:43
something
19:43
that
19:44
I
19:44
was
19:44
super
19:45
passionate
19:45
about
19:45
and
19:46
wanted
19:46
to
19:46
learn.
19:47
And,
19:48
you
19:48
know,
19:48
selfishly,
19:49
I
19:49
was
19:49
wanting
19:50
to
19:50
get
19:50
myself
19:51
back
19:51
myself
19:51
in
19:52
that
19:52
corner,
19:52
because
19:53
we
19:53
had
19:53
great
19:54
muskie
19:54
fishing,
19:55
and
19:55
I
19:55
knew
19:56
I
19:56
could
19:56
catch
19:56
them
19:56
on
19:57
gear
19:57
at
19:58
any
19:58
point.
19:58
And
19:59
I.
19:59
I
19:59
knew
19:59
that
20:00
if
20:00
I
20:00
kept
20:00
on
20:00
it,
20:01
I
20:01
would
20:01
figure
20:01
out
20:01
a
20:01
way
20:01
to
20:02
be
20:02
able
20:02
to
20:02
get
20:02
these
20:02
on
20:03
fly,
20:03
because
20:04
there
20:04
was
20:04
nobody
20:05
fishing
20:05
them
20:05
at
20:06
that
20:06
time.
20:07
And
20:08
it
20:08
was.
20:09
To
20:09
be
20:10
honest,
20:10
it
20:10
was
20:10
virgin
20:11
water.
20:11
And
20:13
it
20:13
just.
20:14
I
20:14
mean,
20:14
you
20:15
know,
20:15
the
20:15
world
20:15
was
20:15
my
20:16
oyster
20:16
at
20:16
that
20:17
point.
20:17
And
20:17
it
20:17
was
20:17
a
20:17
great
20:18
time
20:18
growing
20:18
up,
20:18
and
20:19
I
20:19
happened
20:19
to
20:19
be
20:19
in
20:19
the
20:19
right
20:19
place
20:20
at
20:20
the
20:20
right
20:20
time.
20:20
And,
20:21
you
20:21
know,
20:21
I.
20:23
Not
20:23
giving
20:23
up
20:24
is
20:24
really.
20:24
And
20:25
that's
20:25
the
20:25
big
20:25
thing
20:25
about
20:26
fly
20:26
design.
20:26
It's
20:27
not.
20:27
I
20:28
never
20:28
go
20:28
to
20:28
the
20:28
desk
20:29
trying
20:29
to
20:29
figure
20:30
out
20:30
a
20:30
new
20:30
pattern.
20:31
It's
20:31
always
20:32
problem
20:32
solving.
20:32
Like
20:33
Bob
20:33
always
20:33
said,
20:34
a
20:34
great
20:34
fly
20:34
always
20:35
comes
20:35
from
20:36
solving
20:36
a
20:36
problem
20:37
that
20:37
you
20:37
see
20:37
on
20:37
the
20:38
water.
20:38
And
20:39
just
20:39
like
20:40
I
20:40
said,
20:40
it
20:40
wasn't
20:41
overnight.
20:41
It
20:41
was.
20:42
It
20:42
was
20:42
a
20:42
process
20:43
and
20:44
sticking
20:44
with
20:44
it
20:45
and
20:45
developing
20:45
this
20:46
stuff
20:46
and
20:46
figuring
20:46
out
20:47
what
20:47
works
20:47
and
20:47
what
20:48
doesn't.
20:49
You
20:49
know,
20:49
there's.
20:50
You
20:51
know,
20:51
I
20:51
have
20:51
a
20:51
wealth
20:52
of
20:52
knowledge
20:52
of
20:52
that
20:52
just
20:53
because
20:53
I've
20:54
failed
20:54
many
20:55
times.
20:55
Right.
20:56
So
20:56
it's.
20:56
It's
20:57
all
20:57
about
20:57
just
20:57
keep.
20:58
Keep
20:58
at
20:59
it
20:59
and,
20:59
you
21:00
know,
21:00
just
21:00
don't
21:00
try
21:00
to
21:01
dream
21:01
something
21:01
up.
21:01
I
21:02
mean,
21:02
you
21:02
need
21:02
to
21:02
really
21:02
look
21:03
at
21:03
what.
21:03
The
21:03
whole
21:05
don't
21:05
look
21:05
through
21:05
keyholes.
21:06
That's
21:06
another
21:06
Dahlberg
21:07
thing,
21:07
is
21:07
like
21:08
walk
21:08
through
21:09
the
21:09
door
21:09
and.
21:10
And
21:10
have
21:11
an
21:11
open
21:11
mind
21:11
and
21:12
try
21:12
different
21:13
things,
21:13
whether
21:13
it's
21:14
live
21:14
bait
21:14
or
21:15
gear
21:15
or.
21:16
And
21:16
then
21:16
adapt
21:17
that
21:17
to
21:17
what
21:17
you
21:17
want
21:18
to
21:18
do
21:18
with
21:18
a
21:18
fly.
21:19
And.
21:19
And
21:19
that's
21:19
kind
21:20
of
21:20
where
21:20
my
21:20
whole
21:21
life's
21:21
been
21:23
revolved
21:23
around.
21:25
Yeah,
21:25
really
21:25
neat.
21:25
And
21:26
I
21:26
want
21:26
to
21:26
take
21:26
a
21:26
deep
21:27
dive
21:27
into
21:27
the
21:27
kind
21:27
of.
21:28
The
21:28
head
21:28
of
21:28
the
21:28
T
21:28
bone,
21:29
because
21:29
I
21:29
think
21:29
that's
21:29
kind
21:29
of
21:29
where
21:29
the
21:30
action
21:30
is.
21:30
And
21:30
I
21:30
know
21:30
a
21:31
lot
21:31
of
21:31
people
21:31
are
21:31
interested
21:32
in
21:32
this.
21:32
And
21:32
this
21:33
goes
21:33
into
21:33
what
21:33
you
21:34
touched
21:34
on
21:34
earlier
21:34
about
21:35
flow
21:35
around
21:35
versus
21:36
flow
21:36
through.
21:37
You
21:37
know,
21:37
can
21:38
you
21:38
talk.
21:38
Can
21:38
you
21:39
talk
21:39
a
21:39
little
21:39
bit
21:39
about
21:40
kind
21:40
of
21:40
how,
21:41
you
21:41
know,
21:41
head
21:42
size
21:43
and
21:43
shape
21:43
and
21:43
density
21:44
kind
21:44
of
21:44
affect
21:45
the
21:45
swim
21:45
and
21:45
kind
21:45
of
21:45
how
21:46
you
21:46
can
21:46
tweak
21:46
that
21:47
to,
21:47
you
21:47
know,
21:47
get
21:48
more
21:48
of
21:48
a
21:48
jackknife
21:49
or
21:49
more
21:49
of
21:49
a
21:49
swim.
21:50
Sure.
21:51
So
21:52
as
21:52
you
21:52
go
21:53
down
21:53
in
21:53
size,
21:54
I
21:54
usually
21:54
go
21:55
smaller
21:56
in
21:56
the
21:56
head
21:56
size
21:57
too,
21:58
because,
21:59
you
21:59
know,
21:59
when
21:59
you
21:59
drop
22:00
down
22:00
in
22:00
size,
22:01
a
22:02
little
22:02
bit
22:02
goes
22:02
a
22:02
lot
22:03
farther.
22:04
Right.
22:04
So
22:05
you
22:05
put
22:05
a
22:05
giant
22:06
head
22:06
on
22:06
a
22:06
small
22:07
fly,
22:07
it
22:07
just
22:08
gets
22:08
weird
22:08
and
22:08
it
22:08
doesn't
22:09
look
22:09
right
22:09
and
22:09
the
22:09
profile's
22:10
not
22:10
right
22:11
and
22:11
all
22:11
that
22:11
stuff.
22:11
But
22:12
so
22:13
if
22:13
I
22:13
wanted
22:14
more
22:14
of
22:14
a.
22:16
So
22:16
a
22:16
lot
22:16
of
22:16
this
22:17
had
22:17
to
22:17
do
22:17
with
22:17
water
22:18
flow
22:18
and
22:18
water
22:19
conditions,
22:19
like
22:19
how
22:19
much
22:20
water,
22:20
like
22:21
high
22:21
water,
22:22
whatever.
22:22
So
22:23
generally
22:24
you
22:24
also
22:25
have
22:25
to
22:25
look
22:25
at
22:26
sync
22:26
rates
22:26
and
22:26
all
22:26
that
22:27
kind
22:27
of
22:27
stuff.
22:27
So
22:28
smaller
22:29
head,
22:29
smaller
22:30
pro,
22:30
smaller
22:31
dams
22:32
within
22:32
the
22:32
fly
22:33
would
22:34
allow
22:34
it
22:34
to
22:34
sink
22:35
a
22:35
little
22:35
bit
22:35
faster.
22:35
So
22:36
you
22:36
could
22:36
get
22:36
down
22:36
in,
22:37
in
22:37
the
22:37
zone
22:37
a
22:37
little
22:37
bit
22:38
quicker.
22:38
But
22:38
smaller
22:39
head,
22:40
you
22:40
were
22:40
not
22:40
going
22:40
to
22:41
get
22:41
as
22:41
much
22:41
of
22:41
a
22:41
jackknife.
22:42
You
22:42
still
22:43
got
22:43
side
22:43
to
22:43
side
22:44
movement,
22:44
but
22:44
you
22:44
didn't
22:45
get
22:45
as
22:45
big
22:45
of
22:45
a,
22:46
a
22:46
pause
22:47
in
22:47
that
22:47
front.
22:48
Right.
22:48
So
22:49
the
22:49
bigger
22:49
head
22:49
design
22:50
and
22:51
the
22:51
more
22:51
dense
22:51
it
22:51
is,
22:52
the
22:52
more
22:53
you're
22:53
going
22:53
to
22:53
slow
22:53
down
22:54
as
22:54
you
22:54
strip
22:55
it
22:55
through
22:55
the
22:55
water
22:55
because
22:56
of
22:56
the
22:56
drag
22:56
that's
22:57
created
22:57
with
22:57
everything
22:58
behind
22:58
it.
22:58
And
22:59
that
22:59
bigger
22:59
head
23:00
and
23:00
that
23:00
bigger
23:00
head
23:01
will
23:01
make
23:01
the
23:02
fly
23:02
slide
23:02
off
23:03
to
23:03
the
23:03
left
23:03
or
23:03
slide
23:04
off
23:04
to
23:04
the
23:04
right
23:04
a
23:04
little
23:05
bit
23:05
more
23:05
and
23:05
pause.
23:07
So
23:07
I
23:07
started
23:08
learning
23:08
about
23:08
that
23:09
and
23:09
tweaking,
23:11
you
23:11
know,
23:11
different
23:12
sizes
23:12
for
23:12
different
23:13
water
23:13
situations
23:14
and,
23:14
and
23:15
whatnot
23:15
and
23:15
how
23:15
deep
23:16
I
23:16
needed
23:16
to
23:16
get
23:16
the
23:16
fly
23:17
and
23:17
all
23:17
that
23:17
kind
23:17
of
23:17
stuff,
23:18
because
23:18
all
23:18
that
23:18
plays
23:19
into
23:19
the
23:19
factors
23:20
on
23:20
how
23:20
you
23:21
fish
23:21
in
23:21
a
23:21
given
23:22
day
23:23
or
23:23
water
23:23
conditions.
23:24
So
23:25
that
23:25
was
23:25
a
23:25
big
23:26
part
23:26
of
23:26
it.
23:26
And
23:27
you
23:27
know,
23:28
with
23:28
the,
23:28
with
23:28
the,
23:29
the
23:29
T
23:30
bone
23:30
heads,
23:30
with
23:31
the
23:31
reverse
23:31
tie
23:32
with
23:32
the
23:32
body
23:32
tubing,
23:33
I
23:33
played
23:33
with
23:33
that
23:33
for
23:34
a
23:34
long
23:34
time.
23:34
And
23:34
then,
23:35
you
23:35
know,
23:36
brushes
23:37
started
23:38
becoming
23:38
available
23:39
and
23:39
I
23:39
started
23:39
playing
23:40
with
23:40
that
23:40
and
23:41
figuring
23:41
out
23:41
what
23:42
type
23:42
of
23:42
brushes
23:42
and
23:43
getting
23:43
a
23:43
brush
23:43
machine
23:44
and
23:44
whatever
23:45
and
23:45
figuring
23:46
out
23:46
what
23:46
brushes
23:47
work
23:47
for
23:47
for
23:48
this
23:48
and
23:48
that.
23:48
And
23:49
you
23:49
know,
23:49
the
23:50
density
23:50
of
23:50
it
23:50
is
23:51
super
23:51
important
23:52
and
23:52
the
23:52
head
23:52
shape
23:53
and
23:53
all
23:53
that
23:53
kind
23:53
of
23:53
stuff.
23:54
You
23:54
know,
23:54
I'd
23:54
like
23:55
more
23:55
of
23:55
a
23:55
big
23:55
bulbous
23:56
head
23:56
to
23:57
get
23:57
more
23:57
of
23:57
that,
23:57
like
23:59
slide
23:59
left
23:59
and
23:59
right
24:00
because
24:01
it,
24:01
it's
24:01
going
24:02
to.
24:02
Just
24:03
the
24:03
thickness
24:04
of
24:04
it
24:04
and
24:04
the,
24:04
in
24:05
the
24:05
density
24:05
of
24:05
this
24:06
of
24:06
it,
24:07
it
24:07
all
24:07
makes,
24:08
it
24:08
all
24:08
makes
24:09
sense.
24:09
Right.
24:10
So
24:11
I
24:11
learned
24:12
all
24:12
that
24:12
by
24:12
being
24:13
on
24:13
the
24:13
water
24:13
and
24:13
tying
24:14
at
24:14
the
24:14
vice
24:14
and
24:14
figuring
24:15
out
24:15
how
24:15
I
24:15
needed
24:16
certain
24:16
things
24:16
to
24:16
work
24:17
during
24:17
certain
24:18
situations
24:18
or,
24:19
or
24:19
different
24:19
fish.
24:20
You
24:20
know,
24:21
we've
24:21
caught
24:22
50
24:22
plus
24:22
inch
24:22
stripers
24:23
on
24:23
these
24:23
T
24:24
bones
24:24
and
24:25
muskies
24:25
and
24:26
all
24:26
kinds
24:26
of
24:26
stuff
24:27
all
24:27
over
24:27
the
24:28
country
24:28
and
24:29
world.
24:29
So
24:30
I
24:30
mean,
24:30
it's,
24:30
it's
24:31
proven
24:31
to
24:31
be
24:31
a
24:32
really
24:32
good
24:33
platform.
24:34
But
24:34
it
24:34
all
24:35
started
24:35
with
24:35
Bob
24:36
and
24:36
his
24:36
design
24:36
with
24:37
the
24:37
beast
24:37
fly.
24:39
Yeah.
24:39
Really
24:39
neat.
24:40
And
24:40
so
24:40
I
24:40
guess
24:40
too,
24:40
right,
24:41
if
24:41
you
24:41
don't
24:41
do
24:41
bulb
24:42
and
24:42
you
24:42
have
24:42
more
24:42
of
24:42
like
24:42
a
24:43
knife
24:43
shape,
24:43
you
24:43
get
24:43
more
24:44
of
24:44
a
24:44
swim.
24:44
Right.
24:44
Less
24:45
of
24:45
a
24:45
jackknife.
24:46
Yes.
24:47
Yep.
24:47
You
24:48
can
24:48
get
24:48
a
24:48
little
24:48
bit
24:48
more
24:48
to
24:49
that
24:49
swim,
24:49
that
24:49
swim
24:49
bait
24:50
motion,
24:51
as
24:51
long
24:51
as
24:51
you
24:51
have
24:52
a
24:52
denser
24:53
inner
24:54
body.
24:55
And
24:55
that's
24:55
kind
24:55
of
24:56
like
24:56
the
24:56
evolution
24:56
of
24:56
that,
24:58
the
24:58
T
24:58
bone.
24:59
And
24:59
then
24:59
the
25:00
game
25:00
changer
25:00
platform
25:01
came
25:01
from
25:01
that.
25:01
And
25:02
then
25:02
shortly
25:02
after
25:02
that
25:03
came
25:03
the
25:04
bucktail
25:04
changers.
25:05
And
25:06
to
25:06
make
25:07
the
25:07
bucktail
25:07
change
25:07
your
25:08
work
25:08
properly,
25:09
you
25:09
have
25:09
to
25:09
basically
25:10
tie
25:11
your
25:11
whole
25:11
fly
25:12
in
25:12
a
25:12
bulkhead
25:13
type
25:13
of
25:14
situation
25:14
where
25:15
you're
25:15
leaving
25:15
all
25:16
the.
25:16
When
25:17
you've
25:17
reverse
25:17
tight,
25:17
instead
25:18
of
25:18
trimming
25:18
the
25:18
inner,
25:19
you
25:19
leave
25:19
all
25:20
that.
25:21
So
25:21
that
25:21
is
25:22
the
25:22
density
25:22
that
25:23
you
25:23
need
25:23
to
25:23
create
25:24
that
25:24
swim
25:24
to
25:25
keep
25:25
divert
25:25
water
25:26
around
25:26
the
25:26
main
25:26
part
25:27
of
25:27
the
25:27
body
25:27
of
25:27
the
25:27
fly.
25:28
And
25:29
that's
25:30
the
25:30
genesis
25:31
of
25:31
that.
25:31
And
25:31
that's
25:31
where
25:32
that
25:32
whole
25:32
concept
25:33
came
25:33
from
25:34
was.
25:34
And
25:34
this
25:35
is
25:35
all.
25:35
If
25:35
you
25:35
could
25:36
see
25:36
the
25:36
picture
25:36
here,
25:37
it's
25:37
all
25:37
like
25:38
building
25:39
on
25:39
things
25:39
you
25:40
learn
25:40
through
25:40
fishing
25:41
and
25:41
tying
25:41
and.
25:42
And
25:43
positive
25:44
and
25:44
negative
25:45
reinforcement
25:45
that
25:46
you
25:46
get
25:46
on
25:46
the
25:46
water.
25:48
Yeah,
25:48
absolutely.
25:49
And
25:49
I
25:49
know
25:49
folks,
25:50
just
25:50
like
25:50
folks
25:50
are
25:50
obsessed
25:51
with
25:51
the
25:51
head
25:51
design.
25:52
You
25:52
know,
25:53
there
25:53
are
25:53
lots
25:53
of
25:53
different
25:54
kind
25:54
of
25:54
shank
25:54
and
25:54
hook
25:55
variations.
25:56
You
25:56
know,
25:56
do
25:56
you
25:57
have
25:57
a
25:57
handful
25:57
of,
25:58
you
25:58
know,
25:59
you
25:59
know,
25:59
one
25:59
hook
26:00
to
26:00
hook,
26:00
you
26:00
know,
26:01
where
26:01
you
26:01
want
26:01
to
26:01
place
26:01
the
26:01
longer
26:02
shank,
26:02
kind
26:02
of,
26:04
kind
26:04
of
26:04
two
26:04
or
26:04
three
26:05
flavors
26:05
of
26:05
that
26:05
that
26:05
you
26:06
can
26:06
kind
26:06
of
26:06
share
26:06
with
26:06
folks
26:06
and
26:07
kind
26:07
of
26:07
tell
26:07
them
26:07
why
26:08
they
26:08
work
26:08
the
26:08
way
26:08
they.
26:09
They
26:09
do.
26:10
Yeah.
26:11
So
26:11
like
26:11
a
26:11
T
26:11
bone.
26:13
And
26:13
that's
26:13
one
26:13
reason
26:14
I
26:14
came
26:14
out
26:14
with
26:14
that
26:14
longer
26:15
front
26:16
shank.
26:16
And
26:16
that
26:16
that's
26:17
also
26:17
why
26:18
the
26:18
jerk
26:19
changer
26:19
work
26:20
so
26:20
well.
26:20
So
26:20
if
26:20
you
26:21
have
26:21
a
26:21
static
26:22
front
26:22
end,
26:23
meaning
26:24
that
26:25
that
26:25
front
26:25
end
26:25
does
26:26
not
26:26
move,
26:26
and
26:26
then
26:26
you
26:26
have
26:27
materials
26:27
behind
26:28
it.
26:28
So
26:28
you
26:28
could
26:29
have
26:29
a
26:29
front
26:29
end
26:30
that's
26:30
rigid,
26:31
meaning
26:31
if
26:31
you
26:31
have
26:32
a
26:32
shank
26:32
that's
26:33
4
26:34
inches
26:34
long
26:35
or
26:35
5
26:35
inches
26:36
long
26:36
or
26:36
6
26:37
inches
26:37
long,
26:38
you're
26:38
going
26:38
to
26:38
get
26:38
more
26:38
of
26:39
a
26:39
glide
26:39
because
26:39
you're
26:40
not
26:40
going
26:40
to
26:40
have
26:40
anything
26:41
that
26:41
moves
26:41
throughout
26:42
that.
26:42
And
26:42
if
26:42
you
26:43
divert
26:43
water
26:44
around
26:44
the
26:44
body
26:45
of
26:45
that
26:46
fly,
26:47
meaning
26:47
body
26:47
dance
26:48
or
26:48
reverse
26:48
tile
26:49
bucktail
26:50
stuff
26:50
or
26:50
synthetic
26:51
stuff,
26:51
where
26:51
you
26:51
have
26:52
an
26:52
inner
26:53
material
26:54
that's
26:55
diverting
26:55
Water
26:56
around
26:56
it.
26:57
You're
26:58
going
26:58
to
26:58
get
26:58
more
26:58
of
26:58
a
26:58
glide
26:59
slash
26:59
turn
27:00
left
27:00
and
27:00
right.
27:01
Right.
27:01
So,
27:02
so
27:03
what
27:03
I
27:03
always
27:03
like
27:03
to
27:04
do
27:04
with
27:04
a
27:04
T
27:04
bone
27:04
style
27:05
is
27:05
I
27:05
want
27:05
to
27:05
have
27:05
a
27:05
longer
27:06
front
27:06
end
27:07
and
27:07
then
27:07
I'll
27:07
generally
27:08
try
27:08
to
27:08
put
27:08
a
27:08
hook
27:09
in
27:09
the
27:09
middle.
27:09
Right.
27:09
It's
27:10
usually
27:10
right
27:10
behind
27:10
that.
27:11
And
27:11
then
27:11
I
27:12
might
27:12
have
27:12
a
27:12
shank
27:12
or
27:13
two
27:13
shanks
27:13
behind
27:13
that
27:14
or,
27:14
or
27:15
even
27:15
longer
27:16
feathers
27:16
and
27:16
whatnot
27:17
behind
27:17
that
27:17
bigger
27:18
hook
27:18
that
27:18
I
27:18
put
27:18
in
27:18
the
27:19
middle
27:19
of
27:19
the
27:19
fly.
27:19
So
27:20
if
27:20
you,
27:21
if
27:21
you
27:21
took
27:21
a
27:22
say
27:22
a
27:22
10
27:23
inch
27:23
fly
27:23
to
27:23
just
27:24
have
27:24
a
27:24
round
27:24
number.
27:25
Right.
27:25
So
27:26
I
27:26
may
27:26
have
27:26
a
27:26
5
27:27
inch
27:27
shank
27:28
in
27:29
front.
27:30
Have
27:30
your
27:30
big
27:30
hook
27:31
and
27:31
then
27:31
tie
27:32
long
27:32
feathers
27:32
off
27:32
the
27:32
back
27:33
deceiver
27:33
style
27:34
or
27:34
in
27:34
the
27:35
round
27:36
with
27:36
bucktail
27:37
or
27:37
synthetic
27:38
material
27:38
or
27:38
whatever
27:39
to
27:39
create
27:40
that.
27:40
And
27:40
then
27:40
I'll
27:40
have
27:41
that,
27:41
that
27:41
head
27:41
shape,
27:42
that
27:43
bigger
27:43
bald
27:43
head
27:44
or
27:44
whatever
27:45
because
27:45
I'm
27:45
gonna,
27:45
at
27:46
that
27:46
point
27:46
I
27:46
want
27:46
more
27:46
of
27:46
a
27:47
left
27:47
to
27:47
right
27:48
jerk
27:48
bait
27:48
style
27:49
motion.
27:50
So
27:50
that's
27:51
how
27:51
I
27:51
do
27:51
it.
27:51
And
27:51
you
27:51
could
27:52
tie
27:52
it
27:53
I
27:53
guess
27:54
more
27:54
slender
27:55
on
27:55
the
27:55
size.
27:56
But,
27:56
but
27:57
then
27:57
you,
27:57
you
27:57
add,
27:58
you
27:58
want
27:58
to
27:58
add
27:58
weight
27:59
in
27:59
the
27:59
back
27:59
and
27:59
that's
27:59
where
28:00
the
28:00
hook
28:00
and
28:00
stuff
28:00
comes
28:01
from
28:01
and,
28:01
and
28:02
all
28:02
that.
28:02
And,
28:03
but
28:03
you're
28:03
not.
28:04
We
28:05
can
28:05
get,
28:05
we
28:05
can
28:05
go
28:05
down
28:05
that
28:06
rabbit
28:06
hole.
28:06
But
28:06
the,
28:06
what
28:07
I've
28:07
learned
28:07
by
28:08
truly
28:08
getting
28:08
a
28:09
glide
28:09
bait
28:10
is
28:10
you
28:10
have
28:11
to
28:12
have
28:12
materials
28:13
up
28:13
front
28:13
that
28:13
do
28:14
not
28:14
recoil
28:15
or
28:15
act
28:16
like
28:16
a
28:16
spring.
28:17
Okay.
28:17
So
28:18
you
28:18
have
28:18
to
28:18
have
28:18
rigid
28:19
fibers
28:19
all
28:20
the
28:20
way
28:20
through
28:20
the
28:20
fly
28:21
so
28:21
you
28:21
don't
28:22
get
28:22
that
28:22
rebounding
28:23
effect
28:23
which
28:23
slows
28:24
down
28:24
motion.
28:25
So
28:25
it
28:25
ha.
28:26
Everything
28:26
has
28:26
to
28:26
be
28:27
rigid
28:27
and
28:27
doesn't
28:28
pulse.
28:29
So
28:29
bucktail
28:30
pulses.
28:30
I
28:31
don't
28:31
care
28:31
what
28:31
it
28:31
is.
28:31
But
28:32
that.
28:32
So
28:32
all
28:32
you're
28:33
really
28:33
getting
28:33
at
28:33
that
28:34
point
28:34
is
28:34
a
28:34
side
28:34
to
28:35
side
28:35
motion.
28:36
And
28:36
that's
28:36
kind
28:36
of
28:36
what
28:36
the
28:36
T
28:37
bone
28:37
does.
28:37
But
28:37
if
28:38
you're
28:38
wanting
28:38
to
28:38
get
28:38
like
28:39
a
28:39
glide
28:39
where
28:39
it
28:40
might
28:40
glide
28:40
out
28:41
to
28:41
the
28:41
left
28:42
two
28:42
foot
28:43
or
28:43
down
28:43
two
28:44
foot
28:44
or
28:44
up
28:44
two
28:44
foot
28:45
or
28:45
right
28:45
two
28:45
foot.
28:46
You
28:46
have
28:46
to
28:47
tie
28:47
everything
28:47
back
28:48
and
28:48
it
28:49
has
28:49
to
28:49
be
28:49
super
28:49
dense
28:50
and
28:50
you
28:50
have
28:50
to
28:50
get
28:51
rid
28:51
of
28:51
pulse.
28:52
You
28:52
can't
28:52
have
28:53
compression
28:53
where
28:54
fibers
28:55
are
28:55
moving
28:55
up
28:56
and
28:56
down.
28:57
In
28:57
breathing,
28:58
you
28:58
want
28:58
more
28:58
of
28:59
a
28:59
solid
29:00
body
29:00
to
29:00
where
29:01
it's
29:01
not
29:01
going
29:01
to
29:01
slow
29:02
down
29:02
the
29:03
glide
29:03
in
29:03
the
29:03
water.
29:05
Yeah,
29:05
it
29:05
makes
29:06
sense.
29:06
It's
29:06
kind
29:06
of
29:06
like
29:06
the
29:07
materials
29:07
open
29:07
up
29:08
like
29:08
an
29:08
umbrella
29:08
in
29:08
the
29:09
wrong
29:09
direction.
29:09
Right?
29:11
Yeah.
29:12
And
29:13
in
29:13
terms
29:14
of
29:14
like
29:14
you
29:14
know,
29:15
you
29:15
know,
29:15
two
29:15
hook
29:16
styles,
29:16
you
29:17
know,
29:17
kind
29:17
of
29:17
anything
29:17
there
29:17
in
29:18
terms
29:18
of
29:18
like
29:18
waiting
29:19
and
29:19
kind
29:19
of
29:19
how
29:19
to
29:20
kind
29:20
of
29:20
get
29:20
that
29:20
tuned
29:21
so
29:21
that
29:21
you
29:21
get
29:21
the
29:21
action
29:21
that
29:22
you
29:22
want.
29:23
Yeah,
29:24
so
29:24
I
29:24
generally
29:25
don't
29:25
weight
29:25
flies.
29:26
I
29:26
usually
29:27
will
29:27
try
29:28
to
29:28
place
29:28
materials
29:29
in
29:29
the
29:29
right
29:29
way
29:29
to
29:30
make
29:30
them
29:30
because
29:31
I
29:31
feel
29:31
like.
29:31
And
29:31
it's
29:32
kind
29:32
of
29:32
the
29:32
Gary
29:32
Loomis
29:34
thought
29:34
process.
29:35
Weight
29:36
is
29:36
a
29:36
deterrent
29:37
of
29:37
performance.
29:38
So
29:38
I
29:39
try
29:39
not
29:39
to
29:39
wait
29:39
em.
29:40
I
29:40
mean
29:40
sometimes
29:40
weight,
29:41
you
29:41
need
29:41
it
29:41
to
29:41
just
29:41
get
29:42
down
29:42
in
29:42
the
29:42
zone
29:43
better.
29:43
But
29:44
I
29:44
try
29:44
to
29:44
keep,
29:44
I
29:45
usually
29:45
will
29:45
do
29:45
that
29:45
with
29:46
the
29:46
different
29:46
lines
29:46
that
29:46
I'm
29:47
fishing
29:47
and
29:47
all
29:48
that.
29:48
And
29:48
some
29:48
people
29:49
like
29:49
to
29:49
kill
29:49
their
29:49
flies.
29:50
And
29:50
if
29:50
I
29:50
have
29:50
to,
29:51
I
29:51
just
29:51
bring
29:51
weight
29:51
with
29:52
me
29:52
and
29:53
adjust
29:53
on
29:53
the
29:53
water.
29:54
But
29:55
I
29:55
like
29:55
to
29:55
keep
29:55
my
29:55
flies
29:56
unweighted
29:57
unless
29:57
I'm
29:57
specifically
29:58
doing
29:58
a
29:58
certain
29:59
thing
29:59
like
29:59
need
29:59
a
29:59
jigging
30:00
action
30:01
and
30:01
having
30:02
bottom
30:02
contact
30:03
or
30:03
whatever.
30:03
That's
30:04
a
30:04
totally
30:04
different
30:05
thing
30:05
that
30:05
we
30:05
get
30:05
down
30:06
the
30:06
road
30:06
on
30:06
that
30:07
at
30:07
some
30:07
point.
30:07
But
30:09
you
30:10
know,
30:10
you
30:10
could,
30:10
you
30:10
can
30:11
get
30:11
into,
30:11
you
30:12
know,
30:13
shank
30:13
hook,
30:15
shank
30:16
hook
30:16
kind
30:16
of
30:17
concept
30:17
and,
30:18
and,
30:18
and
30:18
get
30:18
it
30:19
to
30:19
fit
30:19
the
30:19
profile
30:20
and
30:20
length
30:20
and
30:21
setup
30:21
that
30:21
you
30:22
want
30:22
in
30:22
a
30:22
certain
30:23
type
30:23
of
30:23
fish.
30:23
Right.
30:24
So
30:24
it's
30:25
all
30:25
about
30:25
looking
30:25
at
30:26
that
30:26
biologic
30:27
makeup.
30:27
The
30:28
fish
30:28
that
30:28
you're
30:28
targeting,
30:29
are
30:29
they
30:30
graspers
30:30
or
30:31
are
30:31
they
30:31
inhalers?
30:32
You
30:32
know,
30:32
what
30:33
are
30:33
those
30:33
main
30:33
triggers
30:34
in
30:34
that
30:34
fish?
30:34
And
30:35
that's
30:35
kind
30:35
of
30:35
how
30:35
I
30:35
look
30:36
at
30:36
it
30:36
and
30:36
how
30:36
I
30:36
design
30:36
the
30:37
flies
30:37
that
30:37
I'm
30:37
targeting
30:38
these
30:38
fish
30:38
with.
30:39
Got
30:39
it.
30:39
And
30:39
so
30:39
I'd
30:40
imagine,
30:40
right,
30:40
if
30:40
they're
30:41
an
30:41
inhaler,
30:41
one
30:41
hook
30:42
usually
30:42
works.
30:42
But
30:42
if
30:43
not,
30:43
you
30:43
might
30:43
want
30:43
to
30:43
have
30:43
that
30:44
stinger,
30:44
right?
30:45
Yep.
30:46
And
30:46
it
30:46
also,
30:46
I
30:46
mean
30:47
if
30:47
it's
30:47
a
30:47
huge
30:47
fly,
30:48
sometimes
30:48
I'll
30:49
put
30:49
two
30:49
in
30:49
there
30:49
just
30:50
so
30:50
have
30:51
that
30:51
insurance
30:52
policy.
30:52
But
30:53
you
30:53
know,
30:54
if
30:54
you're
30:54
fishing
30:55
average
30:55
flies
30:56
from
30:56
like
30:56
4
30:56
to
30:57
7
30:57
inches
30:57
and
30:58
you're
30:58
fishing
30:58
big
30:59
bucket
30:59
mouth
31:00
fish
31:00
like
31:00
a,
31:01
you
31:01
know,
31:01
targeting
31:02
stripers
31:03
in
31:03
that
31:03
20
31:03
to
31:04
40
31:04
pound,
31:04
50
31:04
pound
31:05
range,
31:05
you
31:06
know,
31:06
6,
31:06
7,
31:07
8
31:07
inch
31:07
fly
31:07
is
31:07
going
31:08
to
31:08
go
31:08
down
31:08
like
31:08
it's
31:09
piece
31:09
of
31:09
popcorn,
31:10
you
31:10
know,
31:11
so
31:11
then
31:12
you
31:12
don't
31:12
need
31:12
two
31:13
hooks.
31:13
But
31:13
if
31:13
you're,
31:14
if
31:14
you're
31:15
fishing
31:15
grasping
31:16
type
31:16
fish
31:16
like
31:16
it
31:17
could
31:17
be
31:17
a
31:18
barracuda
31:19
or
31:19
it
31:19
could
31:19
be
31:19
a
31:20
king
31:20
mackerel
31:20
or
31:21
it
31:21
could
31:21
be
31:21
a
31:21
wahoo
31:22
or
31:23
muskie
31:23
or
31:24
pike
31:24
or
31:24
whatever
31:25
or
31:25
big
31:25
brown
31:25
trout.
31:26
Then
31:26
I'm
31:26
gonna
31:27
strategically
31:28
put
31:29
hooks
31:29
in
31:29
the
31:29
middle
31:29
of
31:30
the
31:30
fly
31:32
because
31:32
they
31:32
usually
31:33
are
31:33
looking
31:33
for
31:33
that
31:34
middle
31:34
target.
31:35
So
31:35
when
31:35
you
31:36
show
31:36
profile
31:36
and
31:36
silhouette,
31:37
they're
31:37
gonna
31:37
kind
31:37
of
31:38
hit
31:38
it
31:38
or
31:38
t
31:39
bone
31:39
it
31:39
in
31:39
the
31:39
middle.
31:40
And
31:40
that's
31:40
where
31:40
the
31:40
name
31:40
from
31:41
the
31:41
T
31:41
bone
31:41
came
31:42
from,
31:42
is
31:42
it,
31:43
it
31:43
shows
31:44
profile
31:44
and
31:44
they
31:45
usually
31:45
drop
31:45
through
31:45
it,
31:46
hitting
31:46
it
31:46
from
31:46
the
31:46
side.
31:47
T
31:47
bone
31:47
in
31:47
it.
31:48
And
31:48
that's
31:48
where
31:49
I
31:49
start
31:49
putting
31:49
hooks
31:50
in
31:50
the
31:51
middle
31:51
or
31:51
back
31:52
middle
31:52
or
31:52
whatever.
31:53
And
31:53
it,
31:53
it's
31:53
paid
31:54
off
31:54
over
31:54
the
31:54
years,
31:54
you
31:55
know,
31:55
I
31:55
mean,
31:56
you
31:56
know,
31:56
back,
31:58
golly,
31:58
I
31:58
don't
31:59
know
31:59
how
31:59
long
31:59
it's
31:59
been
31:59
now.
32:00
15,
32:00
16,
32:01
18
32:01
years
32:01
ago,
32:03
tied
32:04
this
32:05
17
32:05
inch
32:06
fly
32:07
and
32:07
it
32:07
had
32:07
one
32:08
hook
32:08
in
32:08
it.
32:08
It
32:08
was
32:08
in
32:09
the
32:09
middle.
32:09
And
32:09
we,
32:10
you
32:10
know,
32:10
at
32:10
the
32:10
time
32:11
it
32:11
was
32:11
one
32:11
of
32:11
the
32:11
bigger
32:11
ones
32:12
we
32:12
got.
32:12
It
32:12
was
32:12
like
32:12
a
32:12
54
32:13
inch
32:13
muskie,
32:14
you
32:14
know,
32:14
and
32:15
it,
32:15
it
32:16
had
32:16
him
32:16
pinned
32:17
pretty
32:17
good.
32:18
So
32:19
it's
32:19
all
32:19
about
32:19
fly
32:20
placement
32:20
and
32:20
figuring
32:21
out
32:21
fish
32:22
species
32:22
and,
32:23
you
32:23
know,
32:23
building
32:24
that
32:24
platform
32:25
the
32:25
way
32:25
that
32:25
fish
32:26
needs
32:26
to
32:26
eat
32:26
it.
32:28
No,
32:28
got
32:28
it.
32:28
And
32:29
so,
32:29
you
32:29
know,
32:29
you
32:29
get
32:29
the,
32:30
you
32:30
get
32:30
the
32:30
original
32:30
T
32:31
bone
32:31
with
32:31
the
32:31
bucktail
32:32
dialed
32:32
in.
32:32
Tell
32:32
us
32:33
a
32:33
little
32:33
bit
32:33
about
32:34
kind
32:34
of
32:34
branching
32:35
out
32:35
and
32:35
moving
32:35
into
32:36
the
32:36
synthetic
32:36
T
32:36
bone.
32:38
Yeah,
32:38
well,
32:39
it's,
32:39
that's
32:39
easy,
32:40
right?
32:40
So
32:40
I
32:41
mean,
32:41
I
32:41
have
32:41
a,
32:41
I
32:41
love
32:42
natural
32:43
materials.
32:44
You
32:44
know,
32:44
my
32:45
feather
32:45
changer
32:45
is
32:46
still
32:46
my
32:46
favorite
32:46
cloud,
32:47
one
32:47
of
32:47
my
32:47
favorites
32:48
that
32:48
I've
32:48
designed.
32:49
And
32:49
always
32:50
like
32:50
adding
32:50
natural
32:51
fibers
32:51
and
32:51
stuff
32:52
into
32:52
it.
32:52
But
32:53
in
32:53
reality
32:55
you
32:55
have
32:55
limitations
32:56
not
32:56
only
32:56
in
32:57
size
32:57
and
32:57
whatever
32:58
you
32:58
can
32:58
get,
32:58
but
32:58
limitations
32:59
on,
33:00
you
33:00
know,
33:01
consistency
33:02
and
33:03
availability
33:04
of
33:04
those
33:04
materials.
33:05
So
33:07
a
33:07
lot
33:07
of
33:07
natural
33:08
materials
33:09
also
33:09
have
33:09
some
33:10
type
33:10
of
33:10
water
33:11
absorption
33:11
too.
33:12
So
33:12
you
33:13
end
33:13
up
33:13
kind
33:13
of
33:14
losing
33:14
a
33:14
little
33:14
bit
33:14
in
33:15
the
33:15
end
33:15
there
33:16
overall.
33:17
So
33:17
for
33:18
me,
33:19
one,
33:20
not
33:21
having
33:21
as
33:21
much
33:21
time
33:22
to
33:22
tie
33:22
and
33:22
being
33:23
on
33:23
the
33:23
water
33:23
all
33:23
the
33:23
time
33:24
and
33:24
back
33:24
in
33:24
the
33:24
day
33:24
it's
33:25
gotten,
33:25
you
33:25
know,
33:26
250
33:27
plus
33:27
days
33:28
a
33:28
year.
33:28
And
33:29
being,
33:29
being
33:30
a
33:30
husband
33:30
and
33:31
father
33:32
and
33:32
all
33:32
that
33:32
stuff,
33:32
you
33:32
don't
33:33
have
33:33
that
33:33
much
33:33
time
33:33
and
33:34
you're
33:34
also
33:34
don't
33:34
have
33:34
that
33:35
many
33:35
hours
33:35
in
33:35
a
33:36
day
33:36
and
33:37
you
33:37
have
33:37
to
33:37
sleep
33:37
at
33:38
some
33:38
point.
33:38
So
33:39
synthetics
33:40
became
33:40
very
33:41
important
33:41
to
33:41
me.
33:41
And
33:42
being
33:43
good
33:44
friends
33:44
with
33:45
Dahlberg
33:45
and
33:46
his,
33:47
his
33:48
mega
33:48
divers
33:49
and
33:49
all
33:49
his
33:50
materials
33:50
that
33:50
he's
33:51
designed
33:51
with
33:51
Hadron,
33:53
it
33:53
was
33:54
an
33:54
easy
33:56
way
33:56
for
33:57
me
33:57
to
33:57
kind
33:57
of
33:58
slide
33:58
into
33:58
that
33:59
realm.
33:59
And
34:00
you
34:00
know,
34:00
a
34:01
lot
34:01
of
34:01
these
34:01
other
34:01
fibers
34:02
came
34:02
out
34:03
back
34:03
in
34:03
the
34:03
90s.
34:05
And
34:05
then,
34:06
you
34:06
know,
34:07
Popovic
34:07
using
34:08
a
34:08
lot
34:08
of
34:08
synthetics
34:09
and
34:09
Steve
34:10
Farrar
34:11
and
34:11
all
34:11
his
34:12
stuff,
34:12
who's
34:12
a
34:12
great
34:13
fly
34:13
designer
34:13
in
34:13
his
34:14
own
34:14
right,
34:16
you
34:16
know,
34:17
getting
34:18
familiar
34:18
with
34:18
those
34:18
guys
34:19
and
34:19
using
34:20
some
34:20
of
34:20
these
34:20
fibers
34:21
that
34:21
they
34:21
were
34:21
using
34:21
on
34:21
saltwater
34:22
flies.
34:22
It
34:23
was
34:23
an
34:23
easy
34:23
Transition
34:24
for
34:24
me
34:24
to
34:24
say
34:24
this
34:25
stuff
34:25
will
34:26
work
34:26
just
34:26
as
34:26
well
34:26
and
34:27
it's
34:27
a
34:27
whole
34:27
lot
34:27
easier
34:28
to
34:28
be
34:28
able
34:28
to
34:29
replicate
34:29
every
34:30
time.
34:30
And
34:31
it's
34:31
definitely
34:32
going
34:32
to
34:32
be
34:32
easier
34:33
and
34:33
cheaper
34:33
for
34:33
the
34:34
average
34:34
fly
34:34
tire
34:35
to
34:36
be
34:36
able
34:36
to
34:36
get
34:37
these
34:37
materials
34:38
and,
34:38
and
34:38
be
34:38
able
34:38
to
34:39
tie
34:39
consistently
34:40
as
34:40
well.
34:41
So
34:42
one,
34:42
they
34:42
hold
34:42
up
34:43
well.
34:43
Two,
34:43
they,
34:44
most
34:44
of
34:44
them
34:44
don't
34:44
absorb
34:45
water.
34:46
So
34:46
three,
34:46
it
34:47
makes
34:47
it
34:47
easier
34:47
casting
34:48
and
34:48
it's
34:48
going
34:48
to
34:48
be
34:49
more
34:49
durable
34:49
with
34:50
toothy
34:51
fish.
34:51
So
34:52
you
34:52
know,
34:53
using
34:54
all
34:54
these
34:55
different
34:55
materials
34:55
that
34:56
are
34:56
available
34:56
with
34:57
flashaboos
34:58
and,
34:58
and
35:01
Larry's
35:02
nylon
35:03
materials
35:04
that
35:04
he,
35:04
all
35:04
these
35:04
different
35:05
styles
35:05
of
35:05
nylon
35:05
materials
35:06
that
35:06
he
35:06
had
35:07
just,
35:08
it
35:08
was,
35:08
it
35:09
was
35:09
an
35:09
easy
35:09
transition
35:10
and
35:10
it
35:10
made
35:10
a
35:10
lot
35:10
of
35:11
sense
35:11
because
35:12
at
35:12
the
35:12
end
35:12
of
35:12
the
35:13
day
35:13
we're
35:13
always
35:13
trying
35:13
to
35:14
make
35:14
something
35:14
a
35:15
little
35:15
bit
35:15
better
35:15
and
35:16
easier.
35:17
And
35:18
that's
35:18
where
35:18
that
35:18
really
35:19
came
35:19
from.
35:19
And
35:19
it
35:20
was
35:20
just
35:20
a
35:20
no
35:20
brainer
35:21
to
35:21
just
35:21
add
35:21
that
35:21
to
35:22
the,
35:23
I
35:23
guess,
35:23
body
35:24
of
35:24
work.
35:25
Yeah,
35:25
it
35:25
gave
35:25
you
35:26
all
35:26
those
35:26
colors
35:26
too.
35:26
And
35:27
I
35:27
know
35:27
one
35:27
thing
35:27
you
35:27
and
35:27
I
35:28
have
35:28
talked
35:28
about
35:28
and
35:28
I've
35:28
heard
35:29
you
35:29
talk
35:29
about
35:29
it,
35:30
you
35:30
know,
35:30
when
35:30
you're
35:30
teaching
35:31
is
35:32
you
35:32
know,
35:33
you
35:33
know
35:34
how
35:34
you
35:34
strategically
35:35
place
35:36
smooth
35:37
versus
35:37
textured
35:37
fibers
35:38
in
35:38
the
35:38
fly
35:38
to
35:39
affect
35:39
the
35:39
swim.
35:39
You
35:40
want
35:40
to
35:40
talk
35:40
a
35:40
little
35:40
bit
35:40
about
35:41
that?
35:41
Yeah,
35:42
absolutely.
35:43
So
35:43
if
35:43
you
35:43
take
35:43
like
35:44
kinky
35:44
fiber
35:44
or
35:45
whatever
35:46
material,
35:46
like
35:47
kink
35:47
nylon,
35:48
it
35:49
could
35:49
be
35:49
wig
35:49
hair
35:50
or
35:50
whatever.
35:52
Any
35:53
type
35:53
of
35:53
material
35:54
that's
35:54
curly,
35:54
it's
35:54
like
35:55
curly
35:55
hair
35:55
versus
35:56
straight
35:56
hair
35:56
or
35:56
flat
35:57
material
35:57
versus
36:00
material
36:01
that
36:01
like
36:02
riding
36:02
a
36:02
roller
36:02
coaster,
36:03
it's
36:03
up
36:03
and
36:03
down
36:03
and
36:04
wavy.
36:05
Wavy
36:05
material
36:07
slows
36:07
down
36:07
water
36:08
flow.
36:08
Right.
36:09
So
36:10
if
36:10
you
36:10
want
36:11
have
36:11
something
36:11
that
36:11
glides
36:12
more,
36:12
you're
36:12
going
36:12
to
36:12
want
36:12
to
36:13
have
36:13
more
36:13
flex
36:13
flatter
36:14
fibers,
36:14
much
36:15
like
36:15
Mylar
36:15
or
36:16
Lashabu,
36:18
that
36:18
stuff
36:19
glides.
36:19
Anything
36:20
that's
36:20
slick
36:21
and
36:21
flatter
36:23
is
36:23
a
36:23
much
36:23
better
36:24
option
36:24
to
36:24
have
36:24
something
36:25
that's,
36:25
that
36:25
you
36:25
want
36:26
to
36:26
glide
36:26
in
36:26
the
36:26
water
36:27
or
36:27
turn
36:28
easier
36:28
or
36:28
swim
36:29
easier
36:29
in
36:29
the
36:30
water.
36:31
The
36:31
combination
36:31
of
36:32
that
36:32
and
36:33
the
36:33
deterrent
36:34
of
36:34
water
36:35
flow
36:35
through
36:36
the
36:36
middle
36:36
of
36:36
the
36:36
fly,
36:37
you
36:37
have
36:38
the
36:38
best
36:38
of
36:38
both
36:38
worlds.
36:39
And
36:39
that's
36:39
kind
36:39
of
36:39
where
36:40
the
36:40
jerk
36:40
changer
36:41
came
36:41
from.
36:41
And,
36:41
and
36:42
learning
36:42
from
36:42
all
36:43
this
36:43
stuff
36:43
back
36:43
way
36:44
back
36:44
when,
36:45
it
36:46
just
36:46
made
36:46
sense.
36:46
Because
36:47
if
36:47
you
36:47
take
36:48
a
36:48
hen
36:48
saddle
36:49
for
36:49
example,
36:50
versus
36:51
a
36:51
rooster.
36:51
So
36:52
rooster
36:52
saddle
36:54
looks
36:54
similar,
36:55
but
36:55
it's
36:55
different.
36:55
Right.
36:56
So
36:56
it's,
36:56
it's
36:57
more
36:57
airy,
36:57
it's
36:58
not
36:58
as
36:58
compact,
36:58
it's
36:59
not,
36:59
doesn't
36:59
have
36:59
the
36:59
web
37:00
in
37:00
there,
37:00
which,
37:01
that's
37:02
what
37:02
makes
37:02
hen
37:02
saddle
37:03
work.
37:03
So
37:03
well
37:03
for
37:04
the
37:04
feather
37:04
changers
37:05
and
37:05
any
37:06
type
37:06
of
37:06
fly,
37:06
or
37:07
say,
37:08
Bop
37:08
Popovic
37:09
Semper
37:09
Fly
37:10
Schloppen,
37:11
for
37:11
example,
37:12
it's
37:12
a,
37:12
it's
37:12
a,
37:13
it's
37:13
a
37:14
much
37:14
denser
37:14
feather.
37:15
And
37:15
it,
37:15
it's.
37:16
If
37:16
you
37:16
look
37:16
at
37:16
the
37:17
way
37:17
the
37:17
fibers
37:17
are
37:18
too,
37:18
when
37:19
it's
37:19
tied
37:20
in
37:20
and
37:20
wrapped,
37:21
it
37:21
holds
37:22
its
37:22
material
37:23
together
37:24
more
37:25
densely,
37:26
but
37:26
it
37:26
also,
37:27
water
37:27
flows
37:27
over
37:28
that
37:28
so,
37:28
so
37:29
smoothly
37:29
because
37:30
the,
37:30
the
37:30
fibers
37:31
are
37:31
so
37:31
slow,
37:31
slick
37:32
and
37:32
flatter.
37:33
So
37:34
I
37:34
started
37:35
learning
37:35
that,
37:36
coming
37:37
up
37:37
with
37:37
the
37:37
feather
37:37
changer
37:38
and
37:38
not
37:38
understanding
37:39
why
37:39
that
37:39
works
37:40
so
37:40
much
37:40
better
37:40
than
37:41
some
37:41
of
37:41
the
37:41
other
37:42
kinkier
37:42
materials
37:43
I
37:43
was
37:43
using
37:44
with
37:44
synthetics
37:45
and
37:45
having
37:46
to
37:46
work
37:46
a
37:46
little
37:46
bit
37:47
harder
37:47
to
37:47
get
37:47
the
37:47
swimming
37:48
action
37:48
I
37:48
wanted.
37:49
So
37:50
slicker,
37:51
flatter
37:51
fibers
37:52
are
37:52
much
37:52
better
37:53
to
37:53
get
37:53
an
37:53
easier
37:54
swim
37:54
as
37:54
long
37:54
as
37:55
it's
37:55
dense
37:55
enough
37:56
and
37:57
diverts
37:57
water
37:58
around
37:58
the
37:58
middle
37:59
of
37:59
the
37:59
fly.
38:01
Got
38:01
it.
38:01
And
38:02
so,
38:02
you
38:02
know,
38:02
we've
38:02
got
38:03
kind
38:03
of
38:03
the
38:03
original
38:04
T
38:04
bone
38:04
and
38:04
the
38:04
synthetics.
38:05
And
38:05
I,
38:05
you
38:05
know,
38:06
I
38:06
know
38:06
one
38:06
of
38:06
the
38:06
advantages
38:07
of
38:07
the
38:07
synthetics
38:07
is
38:08
you
38:08
can
38:08
time
38:08
and
38:08
make
38:09
them
38:09
monstrously
38:09
large
38:10
because
38:10
you
38:10
don't
38:10
have
38:10
to
38:10
go
38:11
find
38:11
bucktail
38:11
that's
38:12
14
38:12
inches
38:12
long.
38:13
But,
38:14
but
38:14
I
38:14
also
38:15
know,
38:15
right,
38:15
that,
38:16
you
38:16
know,
38:17
each
38:17
of
38:18
those
38:18
flies
38:18
is
38:19
a
38:19
platform.
38:19
They
38:19
have
38:20
kind
38:20
of
38:20
different
38:20
weight
38:21
and
38:21
hang
38:21
characteristics.
38:22
And
38:22
I
38:22
was
38:23
kind
38:23
of
38:23
curious,
38:23
you
38:24
know,
38:24
if
38:24
you
38:24
could
38:24
talk
38:25
a
38:25
little
38:25
bit
38:25
about
38:25
like,
38:26
you
38:26
know,
38:27
when
38:27
you
38:27
like
38:27
to
38:28
fish
38:29
an
38:29
original
38:29
T
38:30
bone
38:30
versus
38:30
when
38:30
you
38:31
might,
38:31
you
38:31
know,
38:31
want
38:31
that
38:32
lighter,
38:33
you
38:33
know,
38:34
synthetic
38:34
T
38:34
bone,
38:35
you
38:35
know,
38:35
putting
38:35
the
38:35
size
38:36
factor
38:36
to
38:36
the
38:36
side.
38:38
Yeah.
38:38
So
38:39
I
38:39
mean,
38:39
one
38:39
windy
38:40
conditions
38:40
versus
38:41
normal
38:42
conditions.
38:42
I
38:43
mean,
38:43
bucktails
38:43
are
38:44
great.
38:45
And
38:46
when
38:46
you
38:46
have
38:46
the
38:46
materials
38:47
to
38:47
use
38:48
to
38:48
make
38:48
them
38:48
the
38:48
way
38:49
you
38:49
want
38:49
to
38:49
make
38:49
them,
38:49
they're
38:50
good.
38:50
Uh,
38:51
you
38:51
do
38:51
run
38:51
in
38:52
to
38:52
some
38:53
buoyancy
38:53
issues
38:54
with
38:54
bucktails,
38:55
is
38:56
the
38:57
inner
38:57
workings
38:58
of
38:58
bucktail.
38:59
They're
38:59
hollow.
39:00
So
39:00
you
39:00
do
39:01
have
39:01
some
39:01
type
39:01
of
39:02
neutral
39:03
buoyant,
39:04
I
39:05
guess,
39:07
consistency
39:08
to
39:08
bucktail
39:09
with
39:09
that,
39:09
because
39:10
they
39:10
do
39:10
have.
39:10
They
39:11
are
39:11
hollow.
39:11
Right.
39:12
Even,
39:13
you
39:13
know,
39:13
throughout
39:14
it,
39:14
they
39:14
have
39:14
some
39:15
little
39:15
bit
39:15
of
39:17
neutral
39:18
buoyant
39:18
to
39:18
buoyant
39:19
quality
39:20
about
39:20
them.
39:21
Synthetic,
39:21
especially
39:22
nylon
39:23
type
39:23
of
39:23
fibers,
39:24
they're
39:25
generally
39:25
gonna
39:25
sink
39:26
faster
39:26
and
39:27
they
39:27
can
39:27
get
39:27
you
39:27
in
39:27
the
39:27
zone
39:28
quicker.
39:29
So
39:29
a
39:30
lot
39:30
of
39:30
times
39:30
when
39:30
I'm
39:31
using
39:32
or
39:32
needing
39:33
to
39:33
get
39:33
in
39:33
a
39:33
deeper
39:34
situation
39:35
or
39:35
heavier
39:36
currents
39:36
or
39:37
whatever,
39:37
a
39:37
synthetic
39:37
is
39:38
a
39:38
much
39:38
better
39:38
option
39:39
for
39:39
that
39:39
because
39:40
you
39:40
will
39:40
be
39:40
able
39:41
to
39:41
get
39:41
down
39:41
a
39:41
little
39:41
bit
39:42
faster.
39:42
Cause
39:42
it's
39:42
gonna
39:43
sink
39:43
a
39:43
little
39:43
bit
39:43
quicker
39:44
if
39:44
you
39:45
use
39:45
the
39:45
right
39:45
stuff.
39:46
Um,
39:47
and
39:47
that
39:47
would
39:47
be
39:48
like
39:48
ultra
39:49
hairs
39:49
and
39:50
big
39:51
fly
39:51
fiber
39:52
and
39:53
a
39:53
lot
39:53
of
39:53
these
39:54
synthetic
39:55
materials
39:55
that
39:56
have
39:56
that
39:56
more
39:57
of
39:57
a
39:57
nylon
39:57
base.
39:58
Um,
39:59
so
39:59
you
39:59
could
39:59
use
40:00
polypropylene
40:01
style
40:02
stuff.
40:02
That's
40:02
gonna
40:03
add
40:03
more
40:03
buoyancy.
40:04
And
40:04
that
40:04
would
40:04
be
40:04
a
40:05
negative
40:05
to
40:05
that,
40:06
actually.
40:06
But
40:07
that's
40:07
another.
40:07
That's
40:08
a
40:08
synthetic
40:09
version
40:09
that
40:09
would
40:09
mimic
40:10
doing
40:11
a
40:11
reverse
40:12
tie
40:12
with
40:12
bucktail.
40:13
Because
40:13
then
40:13
you're
40:14
using
40:14
a
40:14
fiber
40:14
that's
40:16
hydrophobic,
40:17
really,
40:17
and
40:18
will
40:19
kind
40:19
of
40:20
stay
40:20
in
40:20
that
40:21
type
40:21
of
40:21
zone
40:21
and
40:21
get
40:21
that
40:22
same
40:22
hover
40:22
that
40:22
you
40:23
would
40:23
normally
40:24
get
40:24
from
40:24
like
40:24
deer
40:25
body
40:25
or
40:25
bucktail
40:26
or
40:26
whatnot.
40:28
Got
40:28
it.
40:29
And
40:29
so,
40:29
you
40:29
know,
40:30
in
40:30
terms
40:30
of
40:30
tying
40:31
the
40:31
T
40:31
bone
40:31
or
40:31
there,
40:32
you
40:32
know,
40:32
as
40:32
you
40:32
know,
40:32
you've
40:32
been.
40:33
You've
40:33
taught
40:33
the
40:33
pattern
40:33
a
40:34
lot.
40:34
You
40:35
know,
40:35
are
40:35
there
40:35
like
40:35
two
40:36
or
40:36
three
40:36
kind
40:36
of
40:36
common
40:37
mistakes
40:37
you
40:37
see
40:37
folks
40:38
make
40:38
at
40:38
the
40:38
vise
40:38
when
40:38
they're
40:39
trying
40:39
to
40:39
tie
40:39
the
40:39
pattern?
40:41
Yeah,
40:41
I
40:42
mean,
40:43
some
40:43
of
40:43
the
40:43
bigger
40:44
problems
40:45
that
40:45
I
40:45
see
40:46
is
40:47
how
40:48
much
40:48
material
40:48
they
40:49
put
40:49
on
40:49
each.
40:49
Like,
40:50
you
40:50
can
40:50
build
40:50
up
40:50
too
40:51
much
40:51
bulk,
40:53
so
40:53
a
40:53
little
40:53
bit
40:54
goes
40:54
a
40:54
long
40:54
way.
40:55
Especially
40:55
when
40:56
you're.
40:56
You're
40:56
building
40:56
a
40:57
12
40:57
plus
40:58
inch
40:58
platform,
40:59
you
40:59
can
41:00
using,
41:01
you
41:01
know,
41:02
the
41:02
body
41:02
dams
41:03
in
41:03
the
41:03
middle.
41:04
Just
41:04
putting
41:05
less
41:05
material
41:07
to
41:08
veil
41:08
around
41:08
the
41:09
whole
41:09
thing
41:09
and
41:10
moving
41:10
to
41:10
the
41:10
next
41:11
step.
41:11
To
41:11
the
41:11
next
41:11
step,
41:12
to
41:12
the
41:12
next
41:12
step.
41:13
A
41:13
little
41:13
bit
41:14
and
41:14
less
41:14
in
41:14
the
41:15
back
41:15
and
41:15
a
41:15
little
41:15
bit
41:16
more
41:16
as
41:16
you
41:16
get
41:16
to
41:17
the
41:17
front
41:17
is
41:18
a
41:18
much
41:18
better
41:18
way
41:19
of
41:19
doing
41:19
it.
41:19
And
41:20
how
41:21
they
41:21
attach
41:22
the
41:23
materials
41:24
to
41:24
it
41:24
as
41:24
well.
41:25
Like
41:25
what
41:25
I
41:26
do
41:26
with
41:26
the,
41:26
with
41:27
the
41:28
T
41:28
bone
41:28
is,
41:29
you
41:29
know,
41:29
I'll
41:29
do
41:30
that
41:30
body
41:30
dam
41:30
and
41:31
then
41:31
I'll
41:31
move
41:31
the
41:31
thread
41:32
forward
41:33
and
41:33
create
41:33
a
41:33
thread
41:34
dam
41:34
and
41:34
leaving
41:35
a
41:35
little
41:35
bit
41:35
of
41:35
a.
41:36
Like
41:36
a,
41:36
A
41:36
hollow
41:37
or
41:38
a
41:38
gap,
41:39
which
41:39
creates,
41:41
I
41:42
guess,
41:42
like
41:43
a.
41:43
I
41:44
don't
41:44
know,
41:44
like
41:44
a.
41:46
I
41:47
don't
41:47
know,
41:47
what
41:47
would
41:47
you
41:48
call
41:48
it?
41:48
Like
41:48
a
41:48
little
41:48
bit
41:48
of
41:49
a.
41:49
You
41:50
got
41:50
like
41:50
a
41:50
notch,
41:50
right?
41:51
Yeah,
41:51
it
41:51
is
41:52
a
41:52
notch,
41:52
but
41:53
creating
41:53
a
41:53
thread
41:53
dam
41:54
in
41:54
between
41:54
the
41:54
thread
41:55
dam.
41:55
And
41:55
then
41:55
you
41:55
have
41:55
a,
41:58
A
41:58
lower,
41:58
like,
42:00
divot
42:01
area
42:01
where
42:01
I
42:01
can
42:02
then
42:02
spin
42:03
the
42:03
deer
42:03
hair
42:03
around
42:04
it
42:04
so
42:04
it
42:04
doesn't
42:04
want
42:04
to
42:05
creep
42:05
forward.
42:06
So
42:06
it
42:06
all
42:06
butts
42:07
up
42:07
against
42:09
the
42:09
body
42:09
dam.
42:10
Right.
42:10
So
42:10
it's
42:10
going
42:11
to
42:11
get
42:11
its
42:11
true
42:13
profile
42:13
and
42:14
not
42:14
get
42:14
slipped
42:15
forward
42:15
where
42:15
it
42:15
just
42:16
starts
42:16
slipping.
42:16
And
42:17
you
42:17
kind
42:17
of.
42:18
You're
42:18
losing
42:19
that
42:19
spreader
42:20
dam
42:20
effect
42:21
at
42:21
that
42:21
point.
42:22
Right.
42:23
So
42:24
that's
42:24
a.
42:24
That's
42:25
a
42:25
huge
42:25
deal
42:25
with
42:25
that
42:26
for
42:27
me.
42:27
And
42:28
just
42:28
putting
42:29
too
42:29
much
42:29
material
42:30
on
42:30
in
42:30
one
42:30
spot.
42:31
And
42:32
it's
42:32
always
42:32
better
42:33
to
42:33
Have
42:33
a
42:33
lot
42:33
less
42:34
material
42:35
in
42:35
the
42:35
back
42:36
and
42:36
start
42:36
building
42:37
especially
42:37
in
42:37
the
42:37
shoulder
42:38
area
42:38
and
42:38
then
42:38
the
42:39
head.
42:39
That's
42:39
kind
42:39
of
42:39
where
42:40
the
42:40
most
42:40
important
42:41
part
42:42
of
42:42
it
42:42
is,
42:42
where
42:42
you
42:42
want
42:43
to
42:43
create
42:44
a
42:44
little
42:44
bit
42:44
more
42:44
material.
42:45
And
42:46
a
42:46
lot
42:46
of
42:46
that's
42:46
just
42:46
time
42:47
on
42:47
the
42:47
bice
42:47
and
42:48
learning
42:49
from
42:49
mistakes
42:49
and
42:50
just,
42:50
you
42:50
know,
42:50
repetition.
42:52
Yeah.
42:52
And
42:52
so
42:53
just
42:53
to
42:53
maybe
42:53
help
42:53
people,
42:54
if
42:54
you
42:54
take
42:54
like,
42:54
I
42:54
don't
42:55
know,
42:55
let's
42:55
just
42:55
say
42:55
like
42:56
a
42:56
6
42:56
or
42:56
8
42:56
inch
42:57
T
42:57
bone,
42:58
you
42:58
know,
42:58
and
42:58
we'll
42:58
just
42:59
talk
42:59
about
42:59
pencils
43:00
of
43:00
deer
43:00
hair
43:00
like
43:01
from
43:01
the
43:01
back
43:01
to
43:01
the
43:02
front.
43:02
Like,
43:03
you
43:03
know,
43:03
what
43:03
would
43:03
you,
43:04
what
43:04
would
43:04
the,
43:04
how
43:04
many
43:04
pencils
43:05
would
43:05
you
43:05
have
43:05
in
43:05
the
43:05
back
43:06
and
43:06
how
43:06
many
43:06
would
43:06
you
43:06
put
43:06
in
43:07
the
43:07
shoulder
43:07
and
43:07
the
43:07
head?
43:08
Yeah,
43:09
so
43:09
in
43:09
the
43:09
back
43:10
you
43:10
would
43:10
go
43:10
pencil.
43:12
And
43:12
then,
43:12
you
43:12
know,
43:12
if
43:13
you
43:13
broke
43:13
it
43:13
up
43:13
into
43:13
quarters,
43:14
like
43:14
the
43:14
back
43:15
quarter
43:15
would
43:15
be
43:15
pencil.
43:16
You
43:16
get
43:16
to
43:16
the
43:17
middle
43:17
quarter.
43:18
Probably
43:19
look
43:19
at,
43:20
I
43:20
wouldn't
43:20
say
43:21
like
43:21
a
43:22
mat,
43:23
you
43:23
know,
43:23
like
43:23
a,
43:24
a
43:24
sharpie
43:24
size.
43:25
You'd
43:26
probably
43:26
go
43:27
in
43:27
between
43:27
that
43:27
and
43:28
then
43:28
you
43:28
start
43:28
getting
43:29
into
43:29
that,
43:29
that
43:30
front
43:31
shoulder
43:31
head
43:32
area.
43:32
I'd
43:32
be
43:32
looking
43:33
at
43:33
sharpie
43:34
size
43:35
portions
43:35
of
43:35
material
43:36
to
43:36
be
43:36
able
43:36
to,
43:37
you
43:37
know,
43:37
spin
43:38
around
43:38
that.
43:38
Those
43:38
body
43:39
dams.
43:40
I
43:40
think
43:40
that'd
43:40
be
43:41
a
43:41
really
43:41
good
43:41
analogy
43:42
to
43:42
kind
43:42
of
43:43
let
43:43
people
43:43
kind
43:43
of
43:44
focus
43:44
on
43:44
so,
43:45
you
43:45
know,
43:45
pencil
43:46
dam
43:46
size
43:46
in
43:47
the
43:47
back,
43:48
in
43:48
between
43:49
sharpie
43:49
and
43:50
pencil
43:50
in
43:50
the
43:50
middle
43:50
and
43:51
then
43:52
definitely
43:53
sharpie
43:53
size
43:54
in
43:54
the,
43:54
in
43:54
the,
43:54
in
43:55
the
43:55
front
43:55
section.
43:56
Yeah.
43:56
And
43:57
in
43:57
terms
43:57
of
43:57
maybe
43:58
like
43:58
a
43:58
trick
43:58
for
43:59
like
43:59
the
43:59
angle
43:59
you
44:00
want
44:00
on
44:00
the
44:00
dams,
44:01
because
44:01
I
44:01
mean,
44:01
you
44:01
can
44:01
kind
44:01
of
44:02
make
44:02
them
44:02
any
44:02
kind
44:03
of
44:03
angle
44:03
you
44:03
want
44:03
to.
44:04
Right.
44:04
You
44:04
can
44:04
make
44:04
them
44:04
high
44:04
or
44:05
low.
44:05
And
44:05
I
44:05
know
44:05
you
44:06
want
44:06
to
44:06
kind
44:06
of
44:06
build
44:06
more
44:07
profile
44:08
as
44:08
you
44:08
move
44:08
to
44:08
the
44:08
front.
44:09
Kind
44:09
of
44:09
kind
44:09
of
44:09
a
44:09
rough
44:10
roadmap
44:10
there.
44:11
Yeah,
44:12
sure.
44:12
So
44:13
obviously
44:14
you're
44:15
going
44:15
to
44:15
want
44:16
less
44:16
profile
44:17
in
44:17
the
44:17
back.
44:18
So
44:18
I'm
44:18
going
44:18
to,
44:19
I'm
44:19
going
44:19
to.
44:20
I
44:20
usually
44:20
would
44:21
start
44:21
maybe
44:21
with
44:21
a
44:21
reverse
44:22
tie
44:22
or
44:23
two
44:23
in
44:23
the
44:23
back
44:24
because
44:24
I
44:24
know
44:24
that's
44:25
going
44:25
to
44:25
collapse
44:25
over
44:26
time
44:27
and,
44:27
and
44:28
water
44:28
flow
44:28
over
44:29
is
44:29
going
44:29
to,
44:29
it's
44:29
going
44:29
to
44:30
compress
44:31
more.
44:32
And
44:32
then
44:32
as
44:33
I
44:33
go
44:33
forward,
44:34
I'm
44:34
going
44:34
to
44:34
add
44:34
a
44:35
little
44:35
bit
44:35
more
44:35
angle
44:36
and
44:36
height
44:37
to
44:37
it,
44:37
you
44:38
know,
44:38
and
44:39
then
44:39
as
44:39
I
44:39
get
44:39
forward,
44:40
you,
44:40
you
44:40
could
44:40
go
44:40
anywhere
44:41
from
44:42
45
44:44
to
44:44
90,
44:44
you
44:45
know,
44:45
or
44:45
60
44:46
and
44:46
kind
44:46
of
44:46
graduate
44:47
up
44:47
as
44:47
you
44:48
go
44:48
forward.
44:49
And
44:49
you
44:50
know,
44:50
that's,
44:50
that's
44:50
kind
44:50
of
44:51
that
44:51
general
44:51
rule
44:51
there.
44:52
So
44:52
I
44:53
might
44:53
even
44:54
where
44:54
I
44:54
put
44:54
longer
44:55
bucktails
44:55
and
44:55
I
44:56
mean
44:56
Longer
44:56
feathers
44:57
in
44:57
the
44:57
back.
44:57
I
44:57
may
44:58
just
44:58
tie
44:58
that
44:59
first
44:59
part,
45:00
just
45:01
standard
45:01
tie
45:01
in
45:01
bucktail.
45:02
And
45:02
then
45:03
the
45:03
next
45:03
part,
45:03
I'll,
45:04
I'll
45:04
do
45:04
a,
45:05
a
45:05
reverse
45:05
tie
45:06
with
45:06
not
45:06
as
45:06
much
45:07
support.
45:07
And
45:07
then
45:07
the
45:07
next
45:08
one
45:08
above
45:08
that,
45:09
maybe
45:10
a
45:10
little
45:10
bit
45:10
more
45:10
support.
45:11
And
45:11
then
45:11
I
45:11
go
45:11
into
45:11
the,
45:12
the
45:12
spreader
45:13
dam
45:13
deal
45:13
where
45:13
I'm
45:14
going
45:14
to
45:14
get
45:14
you
45:15
know,
45:15
more
45:15
of
45:15
a
45:16
maybe
45:16
35
45:17
degree,
45:18
then
45:18
45
45:19
and
45:19
then
45:19
55,
45:20
65
45:21
and
45:21
whatnot,
45:21
until
45:22
you
45:22
might.
45:23
At
45:23
the
45:23
end,
45:23
it
45:24
may
45:24
almost
45:24
be
45:24
standing
45:25
straight
45:25
up.
45:26
Right.
45:26
So,
45:28
and
45:28
then
45:29
all
45:29
the.
45:29
Obviously,
45:29
you
45:30
know,
45:30
as
45:30
water
45:30
flow
45:30
flows
45:31
over
45:31
it
45:31
and
45:31
compression
45:32
and
45:33
you
45:33
strip
45:33
it
45:33
into
45:34
the
45:34
water,
45:34
it's
45:34
going
45:35
to
45:35
have
45:35
a
45:35
huge
45:35
profile,
45:36
but
45:36
it's
45:36
going
45:37
to
45:37
have
45:37
that,
45:37
that
45:38
bait
45:38
fish
45:38
profile
45:39
that
45:39
you're
45:39
looking
45:39
for.
45:40
Right.
45:40
So
45:40
you're,
45:41
you
45:41
don't
45:41
want
45:41
to
45:41
have
45:41
a
45:41
huge
45:42
profile
45:42
in
45:42
the
45:43
back
45:43
and
45:43
get
45:43
skinnier
45:44
in
45:44
the
45:44
middle
45:44
and
45:44
skinnier
45:45
up
45:45
front.
45:45
That
45:46
doesn't
45:46
look
45:46
like
45:47
a
45:47
fish
45:48
at
45:48
all.
45:48
Right.
45:49
So
45:49
you
45:49
just
45:49
kind
45:49
of
45:49
have
45:49
to
45:50
imagine
45:50
what
45:51
the
45:51
profile
45:51
of
45:51
the
45:52
bait
45:52
that
45:52
you're
45:52
trying
45:52
to
45:52
mimic
45:53
looks
45:53
like.
45:54
And,
45:54
you
45:54
know,
45:55
that's
45:55
a
45:55
big
45:55
part
45:55
of
45:55
it
45:56
as
45:56
well.
45:56
Yeah,
45:57
got
45:57
it.
45:57
And
45:58
so,
45:58
you
45:58
know,
45:59
I
45:59
know
45:59
they're
46:00
probably
46:00
not
46:00
a
46:00
lot
46:00
of
46:00
tools.
46:01
I
46:01
have
46:01
a
46:01
couple
46:01
I
46:01
could
46:01
probably
46:02
think
46:02
of.
46:02
But,
46:02
you
46:02
know,
46:02
are
46:02
there
46:03
any
46:03
kind
46:03
of
46:04
special
46:04
tools
46:04
that
46:05
make
46:05
tying
46:05
the
46:05
t
46:05
bone
46:06
a
46:06
whole
46:06
lot
46:06
easier
46:06
or
46:07
like,
46:07
any
46:07
special
46:07
resins
46:08
or
46:08
anything
46:08
like
46:08
that?
46:10
Yeah,
46:10
I
46:10
mean,
46:12
one.
46:12
A
46:12
lighter
46:13
is
46:13
huge.
46:14
So
46:14
you,
46:15
you've
46:15
gotta
46:15
have
46:15
a
46:15
lighter
46:16
to
46:16
be
46:16
able
46:16
to
46:18
not
46:18
let
46:19
that
46:19
material
46:19
fray.
46:20
So
46:20
I
46:20
singed
46:20
the
46:21
ends
46:21
to
46:21
make
46:21
that
46:22
work.
46:22
Right.
46:22
So
46:23
you
46:23
also
46:24
have
46:24
those
46:24
push
46:25
tools
46:25
that
46:25
are
46:25
readily
46:26
available
46:26
to
46:26
push
46:27
bucktail.
46:27
If
46:28
you
46:28
want
46:28
to
46:28
reverse
46:29
tie
46:29
them.
46:29
That.
46:29
Those
46:29
things
46:29
are
46:30
great.
46:30
There's
46:30
many
46:31
different
46:31
versions
46:31
of
46:32
those
46:32
out
46:32
there.
46:33
And
46:34
if
46:34
you
46:34
don't
46:34
have
46:34
that,
46:35
you
46:35
can
46:35
just
46:35
take
46:35
a,
46:36
like
46:36
a
46:36
big
46:37
pin
46:37
and
46:37
take
46:37
the
46:38
butt
46:38
cap
46:39
off
46:39
and,
46:39
and
46:40
use
46:40
that
46:40
to
46:40
push
46:40
bucktail
46:41
back
46:41
over
46:41
itself
46:42
to
46:42
get,
46:43
get
46:43
it
46:43
to
46:43
push
46:43
back
46:44
evenly
46:45
and
46:45
then
46:45
you
46:45
can
46:46
tie
46:46
in
46:47
front
46:47
of
46:47
it
46:47
or
46:47
whatnot.
46:48
Um,
46:49
you
46:49
know,
46:49
and
46:50
as
46:50
far
46:50
as
46:50
resins
46:51
go,
46:51
I
46:51
mean,
46:51
there's
46:51
so
46:51
many
46:52
different
46:54
resins
46:54
that
46:54
I
46:55
like.
46:55
And
46:55
you
46:55
know,
46:55
I
46:56
use
46:56
loom
46:56
products
46:57
and
46:57
I've,
46:57
I've
46:58
used
46:58
all
46:58
of
46:58
them.
46:59
But,
46:59
you
46:59
know,
46:59
one
46:59
of
47:00
the
47:00
main
47:00
ingredients
47:01
that
47:01
I
47:01
think
47:02
super
47:02
important
47:02
are
47:02
the
47:03
flexible
47:03
resins,
47:04
because
47:05
you
47:05
can
47:05
fix
47:06
a
47:06
lot
47:06
of
47:06
problems.
47:07
Like
47:07
if
47:07
something's
47:07
not
47:08
setting
47:08
right
47:08
and
47:08
it's
47:09
kind
47:09
of
47:09
kinked
47:09
off
47:09
to
47:10
the
47:10
side
47:10
and
47:10
it's
47:10
not
47:11
following
47:12
the
47:12
flow
47:12
of
47:12
the
47:12
other
47:13
bucktail,
47:14
you
47:14
could
47:14
do
47:14
a
47:14
cheat
47:15
and
47:15
pull
47:15
it
47:15
back
47:15
to
47:16
get
47:16
the
47:16
shape
47:16
you
47:16
want
47:17
and
47:17
then
47:17
put
47:17
some
47:18
resin
47:18
around
47:18
the
47:19
front
47:19
of
47:19
the
47:19
bucktail
47:20
or
47:20
synthetic
47:21
and
47:21
then
47:21
hit
47:21
it
47:22
with
47:22
the
47:22
light
47:22
with
47:23
you
47:23
slightly
47:24
holding
47:24
it
47:24
in
47:24
place.
47:26
And
47:26
then
47:26
it
47:27
looks
47:27
like
47:27
you're
47:27
a
47:27
professional
47:28
tire,
47:29
you
47:29
know,
47:29
so
47:29
there's,
47:30
there's
47:30
a
47:30
lot
47:30
of
47:30
cheats
47:31
out
47:31
there
47:31
for,
47:31
for
47:32
people
47:33
if
47:33
they're
47:33
not
47:33
getting,
47:34
you
47:34
know,
47:35
even
47:35
the
47:35
beast
47:35
fly,
47:36
if
47:36
you're
47:36
not
47:36
getting
47:36
it
47:37
to
47:37
act
47:37
exactly
47:37
the
47:38
way
47:38
you
47:38
want.
47:38
And
47:38
you
47:39
know,
47:39
everything's
47:39
in
47:40
like
47:40
left,
47:41
right,
47:41
top
47:41
and
47:41
bottom.
47:42
I
47:42
mean,
47:42
left,
47:43
top
47:43
and
47:43
bottom
47:43
is
47:44
good,
47:44
but
47:44
the
47:44
right
47:44
side's
47:45
kinked
47:45
out
47:45
way
47:45
to
47:46
the
47:46
way
47:47
out
47:47
to
47:47
the
47:47
side
47:47
and
47:48
it's
47:48
not
47:48
holding
47:48
right.
47:49
You
47:49
can
47:49
just
47:49
put
47:50
a
47:50
little
47:50
bit
47:50
of
47:50
resin
47:51
right
47:51
over
47:51
there
47:51
and
47:52
hold
47:52
the,
47:52
hold
47:52
it
47:52
in
47:53
position
47:53
and
47:54
hit
47:54
it
47:54
with
47:54
the
47:54
light
47:54
and
47:55
you'll
47:55
set
47:55
it
47:55
and
47:55
angle
47:56
it
47:56
to
47:56
the,
47:57
to
47:57
the
47:57
angle
47:57
that
47:57
you
47:57
want
47:58
it
47:58
to
47:58
be.
47:59
Yeah,
47:59
it's
47:59
like
48:00
brill
48:00
cream.
48:00
Right?
48:00
A
48:00
little
48:00
dab
48:01
will
48:01
do
48:01
you.
48:02
Little
48:02
dab
48:02
will
48:03
do
48:03
you.
48:03
Yep.
48:04
So,
48:05
you
48:05
know,
48:05
in
48:05
terms
48:05
of
48:05
fishing
48:06
the
48:06
fly,
48:07
like,
48:07
where
48:07
do
48:07
you
48:07
generally
48:08
like
48:08
to
48:08
fish
48:08
the
48:09
t
48:09
bone
48:09
and
48:09
the
48:09
water
48:10
column
48:10
and
48:10
kind
48:10
of
48:10
what
48:11
are
48:11
your
48:11
pre
48:12
line
48:12
and
48:12
leader
48:12
setups
48:13
to
48:13
get
48:13
the
48:13
action
48:13
that
48:13
you
48:14
want?
48:15
Yeah,
48:15
so
48:16
that's
48:16
all
48:17
going
48:17
to
48:17
be
48:17
determined
48:18
on
48:18
water
48:18
flow,
48:19
seasonal
48:20
changes
48:20
and
48:20
how
48:20
the
48:21
fish
48:21
are.
48:21
Right.
48:22
So
48:23
I
48:23
would
48:23
say
48:24
in
48:24
general,
48:25
I'm
48:25
going
48:25
to
48:25
want
48:25
it.
48:26
So
48:26
fishing
48:27
10
48:27
foot
48:27
of
48:27
water,
48:27
I'm
48:28
going
48:28
to
48:28
want
48:28
at
48:28
least
48:29
anywhere
48:29
from
48:30
around
48:30
that
48:30
5
48:31
foot
48:31
to
48:31
6
48:32
foot
48:32
range.
48:34
You
48:34
know,
48:35
if
48:36
you
48:36
got
48:36
heavy
48:36
flows,
48:38
that's
48:38
going
48:38
to
48:38
be
48:38
dictated
48:40
heavily
48:40
on
48:40
the
48:40
lines
48:41
that
48:41
you
48:41
choose.
48:41
Right.
48:42
So
48:43
I
48:43
could
48:43
use,
48:45
and
48:46
I
48:46
like
48:46
essay
48:46
lines,
48:47
scientific
48:47
angler
48:48
stuff.
48:48
And
48:48
there's
48:49
times
48:49
where
48:49
I'm
48:49
using
48:50
intermediates
48:50
when
48:50
we
48:51
have
48:51
no
48:51
flow
48:51
and
48:52
water's
48:52
low
48:53
clear.
48:55
I'll
48:55
use
48:55
intermediates
48:56
with
48:56
a
48:56
little
48:56
bit
48:56
longer
48:57
leader
48:59
using
48:59
fluorocarbon
49:00
because
49:00
it
49:00
has
49:00
a
49:00
little
49:01
bit
49:01
faster
49:01
sink
49:01
rate
49:02
and
49:02
whatnot.
49:02
And
49:03
you
49:03
know,
49:03
the
49:03
cores,
49:04
the
49:04
lines
49:04
make
49:05
a
49:05
huge
49:05
difference
49:05
on
49:06
how
49:07
flies
49:07
will
49:07
sink.
49:08
And
49:08
we
49:08
can
49:08
get
49:08
into
49:09
a
49:09
long
49:11
discussion
49:12
on
49:12
that.
49:12
But
49:13
in
49:13
general,
49:14
I'm
49:14
gonna
49:14
have
49:16
three
49:16
lines
49:16
with
49:17
you.
49:17
I'm
49:17
gonna
49:17
have
49:17
a
49:18
faster
49:18
intermediate
49:20
or
49:20
four
49:21
lines.
49:21
I'm
49:21
gonna
49:21
have
49:21
a
49:22
more
49:22
of
49:22
a
49:22
slower
49:23
intermediate.
49:24
I'm
49:24
gonna
49:24
have
49:27
a,
49:28
a
49:28
sinking
49:28
line
49:29
that's
49:29
got
49:29
a.
49:30
Just
49:30
a
49:30
sink
49:31
tip
49:31
with
49:31
more
49:31
of
49:31
a
49:32
hovering
49:33
running
49:34
line
49:34
behind
49:35
it.
49:36
And
49:36
then
49:37
I'm
49:37
gonna
49:37
have
49:37
a
49:37
heavy
49:38
sinking
49:38
line
49:38
with
49:39
a,
49:39
with
49:39
a
49:40
more
49:40
Aggressive
49:41
intermediate
49:42
running
49:42
line
49:43
behind
49:43
it
49:43
where
49:43
it,
49:44
I've
49:44
got
49:44
more
49:44
contact
49:45
throughout
49:45
it.
49:45
And
49:46
that's
49:46
when
49:46
I'm
49:47
trying
49:47
to
49:47
get
49:48
deeper.
49:48
Water's
49:49
deeper,
49:49
fish
49:49
are
49:49
deeper,
49:50
current's
49:51
faster,
49:51
that
49:52
kind
49:52
of
49:52
situation.
49:53
So
49:53
I
49:53
look
49:53
at
49:53
it
49:54
in
49:54
that,
49:54
those
49:54
aspects
49:55
and
49:55
you
49:55
know,
49:56
you
49:56
can
49:56
never,
49:56
it's
49:57
never
49:57
going
49:57
to
49:57
work
49:57
out
49:57
where
49:57
you
49:58
have
49:58
one
49:58
line
49:58
that's
49:58
going
49:58
to
49:58
do
49:59
everything
49:59
for
49:59
you.
49:59
I
50:00
mean
50:00
that
50:00
to
50:00
me,
50:01
flies
50:01
are
50:01
the
50:02
most
50:02
important
50:02
part
50:02
of
50:03
fishing
50:04
and
50:04
the
50:05
lines
50:05
that
50:05
we
50:05
use
50:05
are
50:05
the
50:06
second
50:06
most
50:06
important.
50:07
So
50:08
the
50:08
fly
50:09
lines
50:09
are
50:09
everything.
50:10
And
50:11
it's
50:11
like
50:11
using
50:12
the
50:12
right
50:12
tool
50:12
for
50:12
the
50:12
job
50:13
or
50:13
the
50:13
wrong
50:13
tool
50:13
for
50:14
the
50:14
job.
50:14
Right
50:15
tool
50:15
jobs
50:16
much
50:16
easier.
50:16
Wrong
50:17
tool
50:17
jobs
50:17
10
50:18
times
50:18
longer
50:18
and
50:19
more
50:19
hard.
50:19
But
50:20
a
50:20
lot
50:20
harder.
50:21
Yeah.
50:21
And
50:21
in
50:22
terms
50:22
of
50:22
kind
50:22
of
50:22
leader
50:23
construction,
50:23
what
50:23
do
50:24
you
50:24
like
50:24
to
50:24
do
50:24
there?
50:26
Yeah,
50:26
so
50:26
I
50:27
mean
50:27
it
50:27
all,
50:27
it
50:28
all
50:28
depends
50:28
on
50:28
what
50:29
I'm
50:29
doing.
50:29
But
50:29
say
50:29
if
50:30
we're
50:30
talking
50:30
musky
50:31
stuff,
50:31
I
50:31
mean,
50:31
I
50:32
keep
50:32
that
50:32
part
50:32
simple.
50:33
Like
50:33
coming
50:33
off
50:34
the
50:34
leader,
50:34
I
50:34
might
50:34
go
50:35
40
50:35
to
50:35
30
50:36
and
50:36
then
50:36
the
50:36
wire
50:37
and
50:38
not
50:39
use
50:39
them
50:40
on
50:40
sinking
50:41
line.
50:41
Not
50:41
using
50:42
much
50:42
more
50:42
than
50:42
like
50:42
5
50:43
to
50:43
6
50:43
foot
50:43
of,
50:44
of
50:44
leader
50:45
material.
50:45
And
50:46
then
50:46
you
50:46
have
50:46
your
50:46
bite,
50:47
right.
50:48
Which
50:48
is
50:48
usually
50:49
18,
50:49
20
50:49
inches.
50:50
Like
50:50
a
50:50
20
50:50
inch
50:50
bite's
50:51
pretty
50:51
standard
50:52
for
50:52
me
50:52
to
50:53
start,
50:53
you
50:53
know.
50:54
But
50:54
if
50:54
I'm
50:55
using
50:55
intermediate
50:56
to
50:56
floating
50:56
lines,
50:57
you
50:57
gotta
50:57
have
50:57
more
50:57
of
50:57
a
50:58
taper
50:58
to
50:58
kind
50:58
of
50:58
get
50:58
that
50:59
turnover.
51:00
And
51:00
then,
51:01
you
51:01
know,
51:01
then
51:01
I'm
51:01
gonna
51:02
taper
51:02
down
51:02
and
51:03
kind
51:03
of
51:03
on
51:03
that
51:04
lefty
51:04
cray
51:05
rule
51:05
where
51:06
I
51:06
do
51:06
50,
51:07
25,
51:08
25
51:09
or
51:10
50%
51:10
would
51:10
be
51:10
a
51:11
heavy
51:11
butt
51:11
to
51:11
turn
51:11
it
51:11
over
51:12
and
51:12
then
51:13
25%
51:13
taper.
51:14
And
51:14
then
51:14
the
51:15
other
51:15
25%
51:16
would
51:16
be
51:16
your,
51:16
your
51:17
tippet
51:18
or
51:18
bite
51:18
wire.
51:19
So
51:20
say
51:21
a
51:21
scenario
51:21
I
51:21
might
51:22
use
51:23
with
51:23
whatever
51:23
line
51:24
it
51:24
might
51:24
be,
51:24
it
51:24
could
51:24
be
51:25
50
51:25
to
51:25
60
51:25
pound
51:26
tapering
51:27
down
51:27
from
51:27
there
51:28
with
51:28
the
51:28
other
51:28
25%.
51:29
So
51:30
took
51:30
a
51:30
10
51:30
foot
51:31
leader,
51:31
you,
51:32
you'd
51:32
have
51:32
5
51:33
foot
51:33
of
51:34
50
51:34
pound
51:35
and
51:35
then
51:35
you
51:36
might
51:36
have
51:38
12
51:39
inches
51:39
of
51:39
40,
51:40
and
51:40
then
51:40
12
51:40
inches
51:41
30,
51:41
and
51:41
then
51:41
you
51:42
go
51:42
to
51:42
your,
51:42
your,
51:43
your
51:43
bite.
51:45
Something
51:45
like
51:45
that.
51:45
That's,
51:46
that's
51:46
kind
51:46
of
51:46
a
51:46
simple
51:47
way
51:47
that
51:47
I
51:47
go
51:47
about
51:48
it
51:48
and
51:49
it
51:49
seems
51:49
to
51:49
work
51:49
for
51:49
me.
51:50
And
51:51
they
51:52
get
51:52
to
51:52
work
51:52
for
51:53
most
51:53
everybody
51:54
got
51:55
it.
51:55
And
51:55
so
51:55
it
51:55
sounds
51:56
like
51:56
you
51:56
really
51:56
like
51:56
to
51:57
fish
51:57
the
51:57
T
51:57
bone
51:57
kind
51:58
of
51:58
like
51:58
midway
51:58
to
51:59
like
51:59
the
51:59
bottom
51:59
middle
52:00
of
52:00
the
52:00
water
52:00
column.
52:01
Yeah,
52:02
I
52:02
mean,
52:02
it
52:02
could
52:02
be,
52:02
it'd
52:03
be
52:03
more
52:03
mid
52:04
to
52:04
upper.
52:05
Because
52:05
glide
52:06
baits
52:06
a
52:06
lot
52:06
of
52:07
times
52:07
work
52:07
really
52:07
well
52:08
from
52:08
mid
52:08
upper
52:09
side.
52:09
But
52:10
If
52:10
I
52:10
have
52:10
to
52:10
go
52:10
super
52:11
deep,
52:11
I
52:11
will.
52:12
And
52:13
you
52:13
know,
52:13
I'm
52:14
not
52:14
against
52:15
putting
52:15
a,
52:16
putting
52:17
a
52:17
weight
52:17
in
52:17
front
52:18
of
52:18
one,
52:18
but
52:19
then
52:19
it's
52:19
changing
52:19
the
52:19
action.
52:20
So
52:20
it
52:20
all
52:21
depends
52:21
on
52:21
what
52:21
I'm
52:22
really
52:22
trying
52:22
to
52:22
get.
52:23
If
52:23
I'm
52:23
just
52:24
trying
52:24
to
52:24
get
52:24
down
52:24
in
52:25
the
52:25
zone
52:25
fishing
52:26
for
52:26
stripers
52:27
and
52:27
a,
52:27
a
52:28
rip
52:28
that
52:29
they
52:29
may
52:29
be
52:29
down
52:30
20ft,
52:30
but
52:30
they're
52:31
eating
52:31
big
52:31
bunker,
52:32
they're
52:32
12
52:32
plus
52:32
inches
52:33
long.
52:34
And
52:34
it,
52:34
you
52:34
know,
52:35
for
52:35
me
52:35
at
52:35
that
52:35
point
52:35
I
52:35
might
52:36
take
52:36
something
52:37
from
52:37
the
52:37
conventional
52:37
world.
52:38
Sinking
52:38
line
52:40
set
52:40
up
52:41
way
52:41
above
52:41
them,
52:41
drift
52:42
with,
52:42
with
52:42
the
52:42
current
52:43
and
52:43
whatnot
52:44
and
52:45
throw
52:45
up
52:46
stream,
52:47
let
52:47
it
52:47
sink
52:47
fast,
52:48
maybe
52:48
even
52:48
use
52:49
an
52:49
egg
52:49
weight
52:50
on
52:50
a
52:50
loop.
52:51
Like
52:51
what
52:51
I'll
52:52
do
52:52
is
52:52
a
52:52
lot
52:52
of
52:52
times
52:53
I'll
52:53
take
52:53
an
52:53
egg
52:53
sinker,
52:54
I'll
52:55
do
52:55
a
52:55
loop
52:55
knot
52:56
and
52:56
on
52:56
the
52:56
bottom
52:57
end
52:57
of
52:57
the
52:57
loop
52:57
knot,
52:57
before
52:58
I
52:58
run
52:58
it
52:58
back
52:58
through
52:58
the
52:59
loops
52:59
tied
52:59
off,
52:59
I'll
53:00
put
53:00
a
53:00
egg
53:00
sinker
53:01
on
53:01
there
53:02
and
53:02
cinch
53:03
it
53:03
and
53:03
tie
53:03
it
53:03
down.
53:04
That
53:04
way
53:04
you're
53:04
getting
53:04
more
53:04
of
53:05
that
53:05
clouds
53:05
or
53:06
jigging
53:06
action
53:06
with
53:06
it
53:07
too.
53:07
But
53:08
it's
53:08
also
53:08
diving
53:09
it
53:09
down
53:09
into
53:09
that
53:10
zone
53:10
to
53:10
get
53:10
that
53:10
fish's
53:11
attention,
53:11
to
53:11
make
53:12
it
53:12
easier
53:12
for
53:12
them
53:12
to
53:13
see
53:13
what
53:13
you're
53:13
throwing
53:13
at
53:14
them,
53:14
you
53:14
know,
53:15
so
53:15
there's,
53:15
there's
53:16
all
53:16
kinds
53:16
of
53:16
ways
53:16
of
53:17
always
53:17
having
53:17
the
53:18
right
53:18
stuff
53:18
on
53:18
the,
53:18
on
53:19
the
53:19
boat,
53:19
adapting
53:20
to
53:20
the
53:20
water
53:21
fish,
53:22
whatever
53:23
it
53:23
may
53:23
be.
53:23
I
53:23
mean,
53:24
it's
53:24
always
53:24
like
53:24
you
53:24
got
53:25
to
53:25
be
53:25
prepared
53:25
for
53:25
different
53:26
situations
53:26
scenario,
53:27
especially
53:27
as
53:28
seasonal
53:29
changes
53:29
happen
53:30
in
53:30
weather
53:30
and
53:31
waters
53:31
and
53:32
water
53:32
temperatures
53:33
and
53:33
all
53:33
that
53:33
kind
53:33
of
53:33
stuff.
53:34
Yeah,
53:34
absolutely.
53:35
So
53:35
we
53:35
kind
53:35
of,
53:36
we
53:36
have
53:36
the
53:36
fly,
53:36
we
53:36
have
53:37
the
53:37
leader,
53:37
we
53:37
have
53:37
the
53:37
line.
53:38
You
53:38
know,
53:38
any
53:39
tricks
53:39
you
53:39
can
53:39
kind
53:39
of
53:40
share
53:40
with
53:40
folks
53:40
about
53:41
how
53:41
you,
53:42
you
53:42
know,
53:42
animate
53:43
the,
53:43
the
53:43
line
53:44
and
53:44
the
53:44
rod
53:44
to
53:44
get
53:44
the
53:44
action
53:45
in
53:45
the
53:45
T
53:45
bone
53:45
that
53:46
you
53:46
like?
53:47
Sure.
53:48
So
53:49
if
53:49
I'm
53:49
looking
53:49
for
53:50
more
53:50
of
53:50
a
53:50
glide
53:51
style
53:52
and
53:53
more
53:53
of
53:53
a
53:53
side,
53:54
more
53:54
of
53:54
a
53:55
slide,
53:56
I
53:57
would
53:57
be
53:57
drifting
53:58
with
53:59
the
53:59
current,
53:59
kind
54:00
of
54:00
throwing
54:00
it
54:00
slightly
54:01
ahead
54:01
to
54:02
adjacent
54:03
and
54:04
you
54:04
know,
54:04
doing
54:04
a
54:05
long
54:06
downward
54:06
strip
54:07
with
54:07
the
54:07
rod.
54:07
I,
54:08
I'd
54:08
add
54:09
the
54:09
rod
54:09
a
54:09
little
54:09
bit
54:10
parallel
54:11
to
54:11
the
54:11
water
54:11
and
54:11
as
54:12
I
54:12
strip,
54:12
slap
54:13
the
54:13
rod
54:14
tip
54:14
towards
54:14
the
54:14
water
54:15
surface
54:16
with
54:16
a,
54:17
with
54:17
a
54:18
strip
54:18
away
54:19
and
54:19
the
54:19
rod.
54:20
So
54:20
if
54:20
I
54:20
have
54:20
my
54:21
hands
54:21
together
54:21
in
54:21
front
54:22
of
54:22
me,
54:22
I'd
54:23
strip
54:23
down
54:25
with
54:25
the,
54:25
I'd
54:26
push
54:26
down
54:26
with
54:26
the
54:26
rod
54:27
tip
54:27
and
54:27
strip
54:28
away
54:29
with
54:29
both
54:29
hands.
54:30
So
54:30
if
54:30
I'm
54:31
together
54:31
with
54:31
my
54:31
hands,
54:32
I'd
54:32
strip
54:32
away
54:32
about
54:33
two
54:33
feet.
54:34
So
54:35
what
54:35
that
54:36
does
54:36
is
54:36
that
54:37
generates
54:37
Movement
54:38
towards
54:38
you.
54:39
But
54:39
what
54:40
happens
54:40
too
54:40
is
54:40
it'll
54:41
create
54:41
slack
54:42
at
54:42
the
54:42
end
54:42
of
54:42
that
54:44
strip
54:45
because
54:46
that,
54:46
that
54:47
push
54:47
down
54:47
with
54:48
the
54:48
rod
54:48
and
54:48
that
54:49
generation
54:49
of
54:49
movement
54:50
forward
54:51
that
54:51
brings
54:52
that
54:53
fly.
54:53
But
54:53
you
54:53
also
54:54
get
54:54
a
54:54
little
54:54
bit
54:54
of
54:54
slack
54:55
as
54:55
it
54:55
comes
54:55
at
54:56
you.
54:56
Right.
54:56
So
54:56
that
54:56
allows
54:57
that
54:57
fly
54:57
to
54:57
slide.
54:58
If
54:59
I'm
55:00
trying
55:00
to
55:00
get
55:00
more
55:00
of
55:00
a
55:00
swim
55:01
bait
55:01
action,
55:02
I
55:02
may
55:02
put
55:03
the
55:03
rod
55:03
under
55:03
my
55:03
arm
55:04
and
55:05
do
55:05
a
55:05
two
55:05
hand
55:06
strip
55:06
with
55:06
a
55:07
pause.
55:07
Which
55:08
if
55:08
you
55:08
do
55:08
a
55:08
quick
55:08
couple
55:09
strips
55:09
hand
55:10
over
55:10
hand,
55:11
it's
55:11
going
55:11
to
55:11
create
55:12
a
55:12
lot
55:12
of
55:12
motion
55:12
forward.
55:13
And
55:13
if
55:13
you
55:13
stop
55:13
abruptly,
55:14
it's
55:14
going
55:14
to
55:14
kick
55:15
off
55:15
to
55:15
the
55:15
side
55:15
or
55:16
up
55:16
or
55:16
down
55:17
and
55:17
you
55:18
get
55:18
that
55:18
same,
55:19
you
55:19
get
55:19
a
55:19
swim
55:19
bait
55:20
action
55:20
with
55:20
a
55:20
jerk
55:20
bait
55:21
action
55:21
with
55:21
that.
55:22
So
55:22
and
55:23
then
55:23
you
55:23
could
55:23
do
55:23
the
55:23
straight,
55:24
you
55:24
know,
55:25
two
55:25
strips,
55:25
pause,
55:26
one
55:26
long
55:26
strip
55:27
pause.
55:28
And
55:28
I
55:28
do
55:28
that
55:28
strip
55:29
a
55:29
lot
55:29
where
55:30
you're
55:30
getting
55:30
like
55:31
that
55:31
herky
55:31
jerky
55:32
left
55:32
right
55:32
motion
55:33
with
55:33
a
55:34
pause.
55:34
And
55:35
then
55:35
you
55:35
make
55:35
that
55:36
long
55:36
strip
55:36
after
55:37
that.
55:37
So
55:37
you
55:37
get
55:37
a
55:38
run
55:38
away
55:38
and
55:38
then
55:39
pause
55:39
motion.
55:40
And
55:41
those
55:41
are
55:41
kind
55:41
of
55:42
the
55:42
three
55:42
that
55:42
I
55:42
like
55:43
to
55:43
use
55:44
quite
55:44
often.
55:45
And
55:45
generally
55:46
one
55:47
of
55:47
those
55:47
three
55:47
will
55:48
work
55:48
throughout
55:48
the
55:48
day.
55:49
Um,
55:50
but
55:50
sometimes
55:51
you
55:51
might
55:51
have
55:51
to
55:51
adjust
55:52
in
55:52
between.
55:52
Depends
55:53
on
55:53
what's
55:53
going
55:53
on.
55:54
Yeah,
55:55
they're,
55:55
they're
55:55
such
55:56
accommodating
55:56
fish,
55:57
right?
55:58
Yeah.
55:58
That
55:59
not
55:59
just
55:59
them,
55:59
I
55:59
mean
56:00
a
56:00
lot
56:00
of
56:00
different
56:00
fish
56:01
species,
56:01
but
56:02
Yeah,
56:02
I
56:02
mean
56:03
learning
56:03
on
56:03
that
56:03
platform
56:04
taught
56:04
me.
56:05
You
56:05
know,
56:05
sometimes
56:06
when
56:06
you're
56:07
big
56:07
brown
56:07
trout
56:07
hunting,
56:08
I
56:08
mean,
56:09
you
56:09
gotta
56:09
use
56:09
these
56:10
same
56:10
tactics,
56:11
they
56:11
both
56:11
work.
56:12
Right.
56:12
So
56:13
when
56:13
you're
56:14
targeting
56:15
apex
56:15
predators
56:16
that
56:16
don't
56:16
have
56:17
to
56:17
eat
56:17
because
56:17
they're
56:17
so
56:18
good
56:18
at
56:18
what
56:18
they
56:18
do,
56:19
they've
56:19
survived
56:19
and
56:19
they've
56:20
gotten
56:20
to
56:20
be
56:20
that
56:21
apex
56:21
predator.
56:22
You've
56:22
gotta
56:22
create
56:23
these
56:23
triggers
56:23
not
56:24
only
56:24
with
56:25
the
56:25
fly
56:25
that
56:25
you're
56:25
throwing
56:26
and
56:26
understanding
56:27
how
56:27
that
56:27
fish
56:27
is
56:27
designed
56:28
to
56:28
eat,
56:29
but
56:29
you're
56:29
also
56:30
trying
56:30
to
56:30
make
56:30
a
56:30
fish
56:30
that
56:31
doesn't
56:31
need
56:31
to
56:31
eat,
56:32
want
56:32
to
56:32
eat.
56:32
And
56:33
you
56:33
gotta
56:33
always
56:33
think
56:34
about
56:34
that
56:34
while
56:34
you're
56:35
fishing.
56:35
Right.
56:35
So
56:36
you
56:36
know,
56:37
I'm
56:37
always
56:37
putting
56:37
myself
56:38
in
56:38
that
56:39
fly.
56:39
Right.
56:40
So
56:40
fish
56:40
is
56:41
behind
56:41
it.
56:41
How
56:41
do
56:41
I
56:42
need
56:42
to
56:42
make
56:42
this
56:42
fly
56:43
swim
56:43
the
56:44
way
56:44
this
56:45
fish
56:45
is
56:45
gonna
56:45
want
56:45
it
56:46
to
56:47
be
56:47
able
56:47
to
56:47
eat
56:47
it.
56:47
Right.
56:48
So
56:49
sometimes
56:49
it's
56:49
being
56:49
a
56:50
gnat
56:50
and
56:50
just
56:50
keep
56:51
putting
56:51
it
56:51
in
56:51
those
56:51
spots
56:52
where
56:52
you
56:52
know
56:52
they
56:52
are
56:53
until
56:53
they
56:53
eat.
56:54
And
56:54
sometimes
56:55
it's
56:56
doing
56:56
that
56:56
fight
56:57
or
56:57
flight
56:58
scenario
56:58
where
56:58
you're
56:59
triggering
56:59
that,
57:00
that
57:00
eat
57:00
by
57:01
speed
57:02
and
57:02
running
57:03
away
57:03
from
57:03
them.
57:04
And
57:04
sometimes
57:04
it's
57:06
pause
57:07
and
57:07
pop
57:07
and
57:07
Stop
57:08
where
57:09
it's,
57:09
you
57:09
know,
57:09
you
57:10
get
57:10
their
57:10
attention,
57:10
it's
57:11
in
57:11
their
57:11
zone.
57:12
Build
57:12
of
57:12
awareness
57:13
longer
57:14
and
57:15
you
57:15
are
57:16
giving
57:16
them
57:16
more
57:16
of
57:17
a
57:17
reason
57:17
to
57:17
say,
57:18
maybe
57:19
I
57:19
gotta,
57:19
maybe
57:19
I
57:19
should
57:20
go
57:20
check
57:20
that
57:20
out.
57:21
Right.
57:21
So
57:22
you
57:22
just
57:22
kind
57:22
of
57:22
always
57:22
gotta
57:23
adapt
57:24
to
57:24
what
57:24
you're
57:24
seeing.
57:25
Adapt
57:25
to
57:25
water
57:25
temperatures,
57:26
adapt
57:26
to
57:27
ambient
57:28
light,
57:29
water
57:29
flows,
57:30
all
57:30
that
57:30
kind
57:30
of
57:30
stuff.
57:31
Yeah,
57:32
absolutely.
57:32
Super
57:33
helpful.
57:33
And
57:34
you
57:34
know,
57:34
I
57:34
know
57:35
you've
57:35
been
57:35
incredibly
57:35
busy
57:36
at
57:37
the
57:37
chocolate
57:37
factory.
57:38
I
57:38
mean,
57:38
one,
57:38
because
57:39
I
57:39
talk
57:39
to
57:39
you
57:39
and
57:39
two,
57:39
because
57:39
I
57:40
watch
57:40
social
57:41
media.
57:41
You
57:41
want
57:41
to
57:41
kind
57:41
of
57:41
let
57:42
folks
57:42
know
57:42
kind
57:42
of
57:43
the
57:43
most
57:43
recent
57:44
developments
57:44
and
57:45
kind
57:45
of
57:45
what's
57:45
in
57:45
the
57:45
pipeline.
57:47
Sure.
57:48
So
57:49
there's
57:49
a
57:49
lot
57:49
of
57:49
stuff,
57:50
man.
57:50
I'm,
57:51
as
57:51
you
57:51
know,
57:52
I
57:52
work
57:52
with
57:52
asga,
57:53
which
57:54
is
57:54
American
57:54
Saltwater
57:55
Gods
57:55
association.
57:56
And
57:56
being
57:57
the
57:57
fact
57:57
that
57:57
we
57:57
lost
57:58
Bob
57:59
Popovic
57:59
earlier,
58:00
later
58:01
last
58:01
year,
58:03
I
58:03
thought
58:03
it
58:03
was.
58:04
I
58:04
thought
58:04
it'd
58:04
be
58:05
really
58:05
important
58:06
since
58:06
we
58:06
lost
58:06
Lefty
58:07
a
58:07
few
58:07
years
58:07
ago,
58:08
that
58:09
we
58:10
would,
58:10
I
58:10
would
58:10
try
58:11
and
58:11
Dave
58:11
Whitlock
58:12
for
58:12
that
58:12
matter,
58:13
and
58:13
many
58:13
others
58:14
that
58:14
we've
58:14
lost
58:14
here
58:15
in
58:15
the
58:15
recent
58:15
years,
58:16
that
58:16
it'd
58:16
be
58:17
really
58:17
important
58:17
to
58:17
me
58:18
because
58:18
all
58:18
these
58:18
guys,
58:19
all
58:19
these
58:19
legends,
58:20
I
58:20
was
58:21
so
58:22
lucky
58:23
to
58:23
fall
58:23
in
58:24
the
58:24
right
58:24
place
58:24
at
58:24
the
58:24
right
58:25
time
58:25
to
58:25
have
58:26
these
58:26
people
58:26
be
58:27
mentors
58:27
and
58:27
friends
58:28
of
58:28
mine,
58:28
that
58:29
it
58:29
was
58:29
very
58:29
important
58:30
to
58:30
one,
58:33
pay
58:33
homage
58:33
to
58:34
them
58:34
and,
58:34
and
58:34
honor
58:35
their.
58:35
What
58:36
they
58:37
left
58:37
for
58:37
us
58:37
all.
58:39
And
58:39
two,
58:40
to
58:40
make
58:40
sure
58:41
that
58:41
we
58:41
have.
58:42
We
58:43
pay
58:43
attention
58:43
to
58:44
the
58:44
ones
58:44
we
58:44
still
58:44
have.
58:45
So
58:46
I
58:46
got
58:47
together
58:47
with
58:47
the
58:48
ASGA
58:49
team
58:49
and
58:50
Tony
58:50
the
58:51
director
58:51
and
58:52
said,
58:52
I
58:52
want
58:52
to
58:52
bring
58:53
back
58:53
Lefty
58:53
Tie
58:54
Fest,
58:55
which
58:55
we.
58:55
It
58:55
was
58:55
a
58:56
big
58:56
event
58:56
that
58:56
we
58:56
put
58:56
on,
58:57
on
58:57
the
58:57
Eastern
58:57
Shore
58:57
of
58:58
Maryland.
58:58
And
58:59
you
58:59
know,
58:59
me
58:59
and
59:00
Clouser
59:00
and
59:00
Papa
59:01
Vicks
59:01
and
59:01
Lefty
59:02
and
59:02
Ed
59:03
Javaroski
59:04
and
59:04
many
59:04
others
59:04
would
59:04
just
59:05
come
59:05
down
59:06
out
59:06
of
59:06
the
59:06
love
59:06
of
59:07
fly
59:07
fishing
59:08
and,
59:09
and
59:09
put
59:09
on
59:09
a
59:09
day
59:10
where
59:10
we
59:11
tie
59:11
flies
59:11
and
59:12
just
59:12
hang
59:12
out
59:12
with
59:13
people
59:13
that
59:13
would
59:13
come
59:13
and
59:14
the
59:14
benefits
59:14
would
59:14
go
59:14
to
59:15
conservation.
59:16
So
59:16
I
59:16
was
59:16
like,
59:17
I
59:17
want
59:17
to
59:17
get
59:17
all
59:17
these
59:18
people
59:18
together.
59:18
So
59:20
I
59:20
started
59:21
making
59:21
phone
59:21
calls.
59:22
I.
59:22
I
59:22
got
59:22
in
59:22
touch
59:23
with
59:23
Flip,
59:23
I
59:23
got
59:23
in
59:24
touch
59:24
with
59:25
dberg
59:25
Clouser,
59:26
Andy
59:27
Mill,
59:28
Chico
59:29
Fernandez,
59:32
many
59:32
others.
59:33
There's
59:34
Oliver
59:34
White,
59:35
Hillary
59:36
Hutchinson,
59:36
Carter
59:37
Andrews,
59:38
all
59:39
these
59:39
older
59:40
legends
59:40
that
59:41
built.
59:41
That
59:41
built
59:42
a
59:42
platform
59:42
us
59:43
to
59:43
be
59:43
able
59:43
to
59:44
do
59:44
what
59:44
we
59:44
do
59:44
now
59:45
and
59:47
decided
59:48
that
59:48
we're
59:48
going
59:48
to
59:49
have
59:49
this
59:49
event
59:49
in
59:49
Vero
59:50
beach.
59:52
And
59:52
what
59:53
we're
59:53
going
59:53
to
59:53
be
59:53
doing
59:53
is
59:54
we're
59:54
bringing
59:54
all
59:54
these
59:55
legends
59:55
that
59:55
I
59:55
just
59:56
brought
59:56
up
59:56
and
59:57
bringing
59:57
them
59:57
together
59:58
to
59:59
say
59:59
thank
59:59
you.
1:00:00
And
1:00:01
one
1:00:02
we
1:00:02
have
1:00:03
Lefty
1:00:04
Craze
1:00:04
documentary
1:00:05
that's
1:00:05
coming
1:00:05
out
1:00:05
through
1:00:06
Fly
1:00:07
Fishermen
1:00:07
and
1:00:08
the
1:00:08
Outdoor
1:00:09
Channel
1:00:09
and
1:00:10
think
1:00:11
BTNT
1:00:12
and
1:00:13
Bass
1:00:14
Pro
1:00:14
Shop.
1:00:15
Just
1:00:15
several
1:00:15
people
1:00:16
put
1:00:16
money
1:00:16
up
1:00:16
to
1:00:17
make
1:00:17
this
1:00:18
documentary
1:00:19
happen
1:00:19
with
1:00:20
Jay
1:00:20
Nichols
1:00:21
filming
1:00:22
it
1:00:22
and
1:00:22
editing
1:00:22
it
1:00:23
and
1:00:23
putting
1:00:23
it
1:00:24
all
1:00:24
together.
1:00:24
And
1:00:25
I
1:00:25
was
1:00:25
fortunate
1:00:26
enough
1:00:26
to
1:00:26
be
1:00:26
a
1:00:26
part
1:00:27
of
1:00:27
it.
1:00:27
So
1:00:27
we're
1:00:28
having
1:00:28
a,
1:00:29
a
1:00:29
film.
1:00:30
We're
1:00:30
going
1:00:30
to
1:00:31
be
1:00:32
not
1:00:32
the,
1:00:33
the
1:00:33
first
1:00:33
premiere,
1:00:33
but
1:00:34
one
1:00:34
of
1:00:34
the,
1:00:35
one
1:00:35
of
1:00:35
the
1:00:35
first
1:00:35
premieres.
1:00:36
This
1:00:36
event's
1:00:37
going
1:00:37
to
1:00:37
be
1:00:37
April
1:00:38
25
1:00:38
and
1:00:38
26
1:00:39
in
1:00:39
Vero
1:00:40
Beach,
1:00:40
Florida.
1:00:41
We're
1:00:42
having
1:00:42
Lefty's
1:00:43
film
1:00:43
on
1:00:43
the
1:00:43
25th,
1:00:44
which
1:00:44
is
1:00:44
Friday
1:00:44
night
1:00:45
at
1:00:45
a
1:00:45
film
1:00:46
at
1:00:46
a
1:00:46
movie
1:00:46
theater
1:00:47
there.
1:00:47
And
1:00:48
this
1:00:49
the,
1:00:49
the
1:00:49
day
1:00:49
of
1:00:50
the
1:00:50
event,
1:00:50
which
1:00:50
will
1:00:51
be
1:00:51
a
1:00:51
fly
1:00:52
fishing
1:00:52
festival
1:00:53
that's
1:00:53
going
1:00:53
to
1:00:54
be
1:00:54
called
1:00:54
Lefty
1:00:54
Craze
1:00:55
Tie
1:00:55
Fest
1:00:56
where
1:00:57
we've
1:00:57
got
1:00:57
all
1:00:57
the
1:00:57
big
1:00:58
brands
1:00:58
like
1:00:58
YETI
1:00:58
and
1:00:59
Costa
1:00:59
and
1:01:00
Patagonia
1:01:01
and
1:01:03
many
1:01:03
others
1:01:04
Decked
1:01:04
and
1:01:04
Scientific
1:01:05
Angler
1:01:05
and
1:01:06
all
1:01:06
of
1:01:06
them
1:01:06
are
1:01:06
going
1:01:06
to
1:01:06
be
1:01:06
involved.
1:01:07
And
1:01:08
we'll
1:01:08
have
1:01:08
these
1:01:08
people,
1:01:09
like
1:01:09
I
1:01:09
said,
1:01:09
Dahlberg
1:01:10
and
1:01:10
Flip
1:01:11
and
1:01:11
Chico
1:01:12
and
1:01:13
like
1:01:14
I
1:01:14
said,
1:01:14
many
1:01:14
others
1:01:14
are
1:01:15
going
1:01:15
to
1:01:15
be
1:01:15
there
1:01:16
just
1:01:16
where
1:01:17
we
1:01:17
could
1:01:17
just
1:01:17
get
1:01:17
them
1:01:17
all
1:01:18
together
1:01:18
and
1:01:18
appreciate
1:01:19
who
1:01:19
we
1:01:19
still
1:01:20
have.
1:01:21
And
1:01:21
all
1:01:22
the,
1:01:23
all
1:01:23
the
1:01:23
proceeds
1:01:24
are
1:01:24
going
1:01:24
to
1:01:24
be
1:01:24
going
1:01:25
to
1:01:26
Jack
1:01:26
Crevel
1:01:27
research.
1:01:28
So
1:01:28
for
1:01:29
those
1:01:29
that
1:01:29
don't
1:01:29
know
1:01:30
ASGA
1:01:32
is
1:01:32
all
1:01:33
about
1:01:34
protecting
1:01:35
our
1:01:35
fish
1:01:36
and
1:01:36
our
1:01:36
coastal
1:01:36
fish
1:01:37
and
1:01:37
making
1:01:38
sure
1:01:38
that
1:01:39
the
1:01:39
fisheries
1:01:40
are
1:01:40
healthy
1:01:40
and
1:01:41
getting
1:01:41
science
1:01:42
done
1:01:43
to
1:01:44
make
1:01:45
sure
1:01:45
we
1:01:45
give
1:01:46
the
1:01:46
policymakers
1:01:47
the
1:01:47
right
1:01:48
stuff
1:01:48
so
1:01:48
they
1:01:49
can
1:01:49
make
1:01:49
educated
1:01:50
decisions
1:01:50
to
1:01:51
that's
1:01:51
beneficial
1:01:52
to
1:01:53
the
1:01:53
health
1:01:53
of
1:01:53
our
1:01:53
fish
1:01:54
and
1:01:54
fisheries.
1:01:55
So
1:01:56
Jack
1:01:56
Crevel,
1:01:57
just
1:01:57
like
1:01:57
our
1:01:58
ALBI
1:01:58
project
1:01:59
that
1:01:59
we've
1:01:59
been
1:01:59
doing
1:01:59
for
1:02:00
a
1:02:00
while,
1:02:00
Jack
1:02:00
Revel
1:02:01
have
1:02:01
no
1:02:02
regulations
1:02:03
on
1:02:03
them.
1:02:04
So
1:02:04
I
1:02:04
thought
1:02:04
it'd
1:02:04
be
1:02:05
a
1:02:05
great
1:02:05
idea
1:02:06
to
1:02:06
have
1:02:07
this
1:02:07
event.
1:02:08
April
1:02:08
25
1:02:09
through
1:02:09
26
1:02:10
and
1:02:10
27.
1:02:11
White's
1:02:12
tackle
1:02:12
down
1:02:12
in
1:02:13
Florida
1:02:13
has
1:02:13
a
1:02:13
fly
1:02:13
fishing
1:02:14
tournament
1:02:14
day
1:02:15
after
1:02:15
our
1:02:15
event
1:02:15
to
1:02:16
kind
1:02:16
of
1:02:17
just
1:02:17
have
1:02:17
a
1:02:17
good
1:02:18
time
1:02:18
and,
1:02:18
and
1:02:18
whatnot.
1:02:19
But
1:02:19
it
1:02:19
also
1:02:19
is
1:02:20
during
1:02:20
the
1:02:20
Jack
1:02:20
or
1:02:20
Val
1:02:21
migration,
1:02:21
which
1:02:22
is
1:02:22
an
1:02:22
unbelievable
1:02:23
thing.
1:02:24
So,
1:02:25
you
1:02:25
know,
1:02:25
I
1:02:26
just
1:02:26
wanted
1:02:27
to
1:02:27
be
1:02:27
all
1:02:27
about
1:02:28
my
1:02:29
heroes
1:02:29
and,
1:02:30
and
1:02:30
pay
1:02:31
it
1:02:31
paying
1:02:31
homage
1:02:32
to
1:02:32
the
1:02:32
ones
1:02:32
we
1:02:32
still
1:02:33
have
1:02:33
and
1:02:34
wanting
1:02:34
to
1:02:35
let
1:02:35
them
1:02:36
know
1:02:36
that
1:02:36
we
1:02:36
appreciate
1:02:37
them
1:02:37
and,
1:02:38
and
1:02:38
raise
1:02:38
money
1:02:39
in
1:02:39
the
1:02:39
same,
1:02:40
same
1:02:41
aspect.
1:02:41
And
1:02:41
all
1:02:42
that
1:02:42
money
1:02:42
will
1:02:42
go
1:02:43
to
1:02:43
the
1:02:43
Jack
1:02:44
Cavell
1:02:44
research
1:02:45
that
1:02:45
ASGA
1:02:46
has
1:02:46
put
1:02:46
up
1:02:46
with
1:02:47
the
1:02:47
help
1:02:48
of
1:02:48
Florida
1:02:49
International
1:02:49
and
1:02:49
Mississippi
1:02:50
State.
1:02:51
And
1:02:51
we're
1:02:52
going
1:02:52
to
1:02:52
get
1:02:52
Jax
1:02:53
protected.
1:02:54
You
1:02:54
know,
1:02:54
we're
1:02:54
going
1:02:55
to
1:02:55
do
1:02:55
tagging
1:02:56
and
1:02:56
DNA
1:02:57
studies
1:02:57
and
1:02:58
telemetry
1:02:59
stuff
1:02:59
so
1:02:59
we,
1:03:00
we
1:03:00
know
1:03:00
more
1:03:00
about
1:03:00
them
1:03:01
so
1:03:01
we
1:03:01
can
1:03:01
give
1:03:01
this
1:03:02
information
1:03:02
to
1:03:03
all
1:03:03
the
1:03:03
policy
1:03:04
makers
1:03:04
so
1:03:04
we
1:03:05
can
1:03:05
get
1:03:05
regulations
1:03:06
put
1:03:06
on
1:03:06
these
1:03:07
fish
1:03:07
because
1:03:08
they're
1:03:08
an
1:03:08
amazing
1:03:09
fish.
1:03:09
It's,
1:03:09
they've
1:03:10
been,
1:03:11
they've
1:03:12
been.
1:03:12
I've
1:03:12
been,
1:03:12
I've,
1:03:13
I've
1:03:13
had
1:03:13
been
1:03:13
on
1:03:14
many
1:03:14
calls.
1:03:14
I'm
1:03:15
doing
1:03:15
a
1:03:15
film
1:03:15
on
1:03:15
them
1:03:16
where
1:03:16
people
1:03:17
have
1:03:17
always
1:03:17
said
1:03:18
they're
1:03:18
day
1:03:18
savers
1:03:19
for
1:03:19
guides
1:03:19
when
1:03:19
they're
1:03:20
fishing
1:03:20
for
1:03:20
tarpon
1:03:20
or
1:03:21
whatever
1:03:21
and
1:03:22
things
1:03:22
aren't
1:03:22
just
1:03:22
happening.
1:03:23
So
1:03:23
they
1:03:23
go
1:03:23
out
1:03:24
and
1:03:24
they
1:03:24
go
1:03:24
chase
1:03:25
jacks
1:03:25
around
1:03:25
and
1:03:25
it,
1:03:26
it
1:03:26
makes
1:03:26
a
1:03:26
day
1:03:27
for
1:03:27
them.
1:03:27
Right.
1:03:27
So,
1:03:28
you
1:03:28
know,
1:03:28
jacks
1:03:29
are
1:03:29
one
1:03:29
of
1:03:29
the
1:03:30
most
1:03:30
underrated
1:03:30
fish
1:03:31
species
1:03:31
on
1:03:31
the
1:03:31
planet,
1:03:32
but
1:03:32
they're
1:03:32
also
1:03:32
one
1:03:33
of
1:03:33
the
1:03:33
most
1:03:33
fun
1:03:33
and
1:03:34
strongest
1:03:34
fish
1:03:34
that
1:03:35
I've
1:03:35
ever
1:03:36
experienced.
1:03:37
And
1:03:37
you
1:03:37
know,
1:03:38
I
1:03:38
just
1:03:39
really
1:03:39
happy
1:03:40
that
1:03:40
all
1:03:40
this
1:03:40
stuff
1:03:40
has
1:03:40
come
1:03:41
together
1:03:41
and
1:03:41
like
1:03:42
I
1:03:42
said,
1:03:42
all
1:03:42
these
1:03:43
brands
1:03:43
like
1:03:43
Yeti
1:03:44
and
1:03:45
that's
1:03:46
helped
1:03:46
out
1:03:46
and
1:03:47
making
1:03:47
this
1:03:47
thing
1:03:48
happen.
1:03:48
This
1:03:48
is
1:03:48
going
1:03:48
to
1:03:49
be
1:03:49
almost
1:03:49
like
1:03:49
a
1:03:50
once
1:03:50
in
1:03:50
a
1:03:50
lifetime
1:03:50
event
1:03:51
and
1:03:52
there's
1:03:52
going
1:03:52
to
1:03:52
be
1:03:52
limited
1:03:53
amount
1:03:53
of
1:03:53
people
1:03:54
that
1:03:54
it's
1:03:55
almost
1:03:55
like
1:03:55
semi
1:03:56
private
1:03:56
on
1:03:56
the
1:03:56
way.
1:03:57
We're
1:03:57
going
1:03:57
to
1:03:57
do
1:03:57
it
1:03:57
just
1:03:57
because
1:03:58
it's
1:03:58
on
1:03:58
a
1:03:58
private
1:03:58
property.
1:03:59
But
1:04:00
it's
1:04:00
going
1:04:00
to
1:04:00
be
1:04:00
a
1:04:00
big,
1:04:01
small
1:04:01
event
1:04:01
and
1:04:02
it's,
1:04:02
it's
1:04:02
going
1:04:02
to
1:04:03
be
1:04:03
something
1:04:03
super
1:04:04
special
1:04:04
in
1:04:05
the
1:04:05
fishing
1:04:05
community.
1:04:07
That's
1:04:07
really
1:04:07
neat
1:04:07
and
1:04:08
I'll
1:04:08
drop
1:04:08
a
1:04:08
link
1:04:08
to
1:04:09
that
1:04:09
in
1:04:09
the
1:04:09
show
1:04:09
notes.
1:04:10
But
1:04:10
I
1:04:10
also
1:04:10
know
1:04:10
too
1:04:11
that
1:04:11
you've
1:04:11
just
1:04:11
released
1:04:12
a
1:04:12
ton
1:04:12
of
1:04:12
new
1:04:12
tying
1:04:13
materials,
1:04:13
right?
1:04:14
Yeah,
1:04:15
I
1:04:15
did.
1:04:15
You
1:04:15
know,
1:04:16
my
1:04:17
whole
1:04:17
life
1:04:17
hasn't
1:04:18
been
1:04:18
of
1:04:18
all
1:04:18
revolved
1:04:19
around
1:04:19
muskies
1:04:20
and
1:04:20
giant
1:04:21
stuff.
1:04:21
I
1:04:21
mean
1:04:21
I
1:04:21
started
1:04:21
with
1:04:22
trout
1:04:22
and
1:04:23
that
1:04:23
was
1:04:24
a
1:04:24
big
1:04:24
part
1:04:24
of
1:04:24
my
1:04:24
guiding
1:04:25
business
1:04:25
forever.
1:04:26
And
1:04:26
smallmouth
1:04:27
bass
1:04:27
being
1:04:27
in
1:04:27
Virginia
1:04:28
with
1:04:28
the,
1:04:29
all
1:04:29
the
1:04:29
great
1:04:30
warm
1:04:30
water
1:04:30
rivers
1:04:30
that
1:04:31
we
1:04:31
have
1:04:31
around
1:04:31
here.
1:04:33
You
1:04:33
know,
1:04:33
I've
1:04:33
had
1:04:33
a
1:04:34
lot
1:04:34
of
1:04:34
these
1:04:34
flies
1:04:35
over
1:04:35
the
1:04:35
years
1:04:36
that
1:04:36
I
1:04:37
put
1:04:37
out.
1:04:37
But
1:04:37
you
1:04:38
know,
1:04:38
as
1:04:38
time
1:04:38
goes
1:04:39
by
1:04:39
and
1:04:39
things
1:04:40
come
1:04:40
around,
1:04:41
you
1:04:41
see
1:04:42
opportunity
1:04:42
and
1:04:43
you
1:04:43
know,
1:04:44
like,
1:04:45
you
1:04:45
know,
1:04:45
I
1:04:46
came
1:04:46
out
1:04:46
with
1:04:46
my
1:04:47
Damsel
1:04:47
fly
1:04:48
patterns
1:04:49
20,
1:04:49
20
1:04:50
plus
1:04:50
years
1:04:51
ago
1:04:51
and
1:04:51
they've
1:04:52
been
1:04:52
featured
1:04:52
in
1:04:53
magazines
1:04:53
with,
1:04:55
in
1:04:55
fly
1:04:56
tire
1:04:56
and
1:04:57
Whatnot
1:04:57
with
1:04:58
Boyd
1:04:58
Pfeiffer
1:04:59
was
1:04:59
one
1:04:59
of
1:04:59
the
1:04:59
first
1:05:00
writers
1:05:01
that
1:05:01
ever
1:05:01
came
1:05:01
to
1:05:02
visit
1:05:02
me
1:05:02
and
1:05:02
wrote
1:05:02
about
1:05:03
my
1:05:03
flies
1:05:03
with
1:05:03
my
1:05:04
disc
1:05:04
sliders
1:05:04
and
1:05:05
stuff
1:05:05
and
1:05:05
wrote
1:05:06
about
1:05:06
my
1:05:06
damsels
1:05:07
and
1:05:07
dragonflies
1:05:08
and
1:05:08
stuff
1:05:08
like
1:05:08
that.
1:05:09
And
1:05:09
that
1:05:10
stuff
1:05:10
gets
1:05:10
lost.
1:05:11
You
1:05:11
know,
1:05:11
we've
1:05:12
talked
1:05:12
about
1:05:12
that
1:05:12
with,
1:05:13
you
1:05:13
know,
1:05:14
sometimes
1:05:15
people
1:05:15
come
1:05:16
along,
1:05:16
you
1:05:16
don't
1:05:16
see
1:05:17
the
1:05:17
history
1:05:17
and
1:05:17
whatnot
1:05:18
that's
1:05:18
been
1:05:18
around
1:05:19
and
1:05:19
you
1:05:19
know,
1:05:20
I
1:05:20
just
1:05:20
with
1:05:21
the
1:05:21
opportunity
1:05:22
of
1:05:22
3D
1:05:22
printing
1:05:23
and
1:05:23
whatnot,
1:05:24
you
1:05:24
know,
1:05:24
I've
1:05:24
always
1:05:25
kind
1:05:25
of
1:05:25
been
1:05:26
frustrated
1:05:27
with
1:05:27
wings
1:05:27
and
1:05:27
stuff
1:05:28
on
1:05:28
bugs
1:05:28
and
1:05:29
you
1:05:29
know
1:05:29
how
1:05:29
I
1:05:30
am
1:05:30
with
1:05:30
movement
1:05:30
and
1:05:30
stuff.
1:05:31
So
1:05:31
I
1:05:31
came
1:05:31
out
1:05:32
with
1:05:32
these
1:05:32
3D
1:05:32
printed
1:05:33
wings
1:05:34
that
1:05:34
I'm
1:05:35
able
1:05:35
to
1:05:36
use
1:05:37
on
1:05:37
these
1:05:37
flies
1:05:38
to
1:05:38
make
1:05:38
the
1:05:38
profile
1:05:39
silhouette
1:05:39
perfect.
1:05:40
But
1:05:40
I'll
1:05:40
also,
1:05:41
as
1:05:41
you
1:05:41
know
1:05:41
I
1:05:41
want
1:05:41
to
1:05:42
put
1:05:42
movement
1:05:42
in
1:05:42
them
1:05:42
and
1:05:43
I've,
1:05:43
you
1:05:43
know,
1:05:44
I'm
1:05:44
punching
1:05:44
a
1:05:44
hole
1:05:44
in
1:05:44
the
1:05:45
base
1:05:45
of
1:05:45
the
1:05:45
wing
1:05:45
where
1:05:46
it
1:05:46
attached
1:05:46
to
1:05:46
the
1:05:46
body
1:05:47
and
1:05:48
using
1:05:50
synthetic
1:05:50
materials
1:05:51
as
1:05:51
a.
1:05:52
Almost
1:05:52
as
1:05:53
a
1:05:53
shock
1:05:54
absorber
1:05:54
slash
1:05:55
articulation
1:05:55
to
1:05:56
where
1:05:56
these
1:05:56
wings
1:05:56
will
1:05:57
move
1:05:58
on
1:05:58
the
1:05:58
water
1:05:58
and
1:05:58
also
1:05:59
fold
1:05:59
back
1:05:59
during
1:06:00
casting
1:06:00
to
1:06:00
make
1:06:01
casting
1:06:01
not
1:06:01
a
1:06:01
problem.
1:06:03
And
1:06:03
they're.
1:06:03
The
1:06:04
wings
1:06:04
are
1:06:04
hollow
1:06:05
so
1:06:05
you
1:06:05
see
1:06:05
the
1:06:05
vein
1:06:06
effect
1:06:06
but
1:06:06
the
1:06:07
wind
1:06:07
will
1:06:07
travel
1:06:08
through
1:06:08
it.
1:06:09
So
1:06:09
it's
1:06:09
not
1:06:09
going
1:06:10
to
1:06:10
be
1:06:10
more
1:06:10
of
1:06:10
that.
1:06:10
It
1:06:11
won't
1:06:11
be
1:06:11
that
1:06:11
spinning
1:06:12
effect
1:06:12
that
1:06:12
you
1:06:12
get
1:06:12
with
1:06:13
solid
1:06:14
materials.
1:06:15
So
1:06:15
there's,
1:06:16
you
1:06:16
know,
1:06:16
I
1:06:16
wouldn't
1:06:16
come
1:06:16
out
1:06:17
with
1:06:17
it
1:06:17
if
1:06:17
it
1:06:17
didn't
1:06:17
think
1:06:17
it
1:06:18
made
1:06:18
it
1:06:18
better.
1:06:19
And
1:06:19
they're
1:06:20
almost
1:06:20
indestructible.
1:06:22
And
1:06:22
then
1:06:22
you
1:06:22
know,
1:06:23
the
1:06:23
body
1:06:23
parts
1:06:24
like
1:06:24
the
1:06:24
helgermite
1:06:25
body
1:06:25
parts,
1:06:26
you
1:06:26
know
1:06:26
the,
1:06:27
the
1:06:27
hellgramite
1:06:28
changers
1:06:28
and
1:06:29
the
1:06:29
crawl
1:06:30
changers
1:06:30
have
1:06:30
been
1:06:31
instrumental
1:06:31
in
1:06:32
my
1:06:32
guiding
1:06:33
the
1:06:33
past
1:06:33
10,
1:06:33
12,
1:06:34
15
1:06:34
years.
1:06:34
And
1:06:35
you
1:06:35
know,
1:06:35
I've
1:06:35
been
1:06:36
hand
1:06:36
cutting
1:06:36
stuff
1:06:37
to
1:06:37
make
1:06:37
things
1:06:37
work
1:06:38
and
1:06:38
you
1:06:38
know,
1:06:39
gotten
1:06:39
into
1:06:39
this,
1:06:40
you
1:06:40
know
1:06:40
with
1:06:40
the
1:06:41
my
1:06:41
fly
1:06:42
company
1:06:42
being
1:06:42
able
1:06:42
to
1:06:42
get
1:06:43
things
1:06:43
done
1:06:43
and
1:06:44
now
1:06:44
we
1:06:44
have
1:06:44
these
1:06:45
body
1:06:45
parts
1:06:46
that's
1:06:46
just
1:06:46
going
1:06:46
to
1:06:46
make
1:06:47
not
1:06:47
only
1:06:48
my
1:06:48
flies
1:06:49
tied
1:06:49
faster
1:06:49
with
1:06:50
my
1:06:50
factory,
1:06:50
but
1:06:51
also
1:06:52
makes
1:06:52
it
1:06:52
a
1:06:52
lot
1:06:52
easier
1:06:53
for
1:06:53
the
1:06:53
tire
1:06:53
out
1:06:54
there.
1:06:54
So
1:06:54
with
1:06:54
you
1:06:55
know,
1:06:55
times
1:06:55
money,
1:06:56
right.
1:06:56
So
1:06:56
people
1:06:57
don't
1:06:57
have
1:06:57
as
1:06:57
much
1:06:57
time
1:06:58
and
1:06:58
my
1:06:58
flies
1:06:59
are
1:06:59
generally
1:07:00
involved,
1:07:00
very
1:07:01
involved
1:07:01
and
1:07:01
take
1:07:02
time.
1:07:02
So
1:07:02
I
1:07:03
want
1:07:03
to
1:07:03
make
1:07:03
that
1:07:03
tying
1:07:04
process
1:07:04
more
1:07:05
enjoyable
1:07:06
and
1:07:06
more
1:07:06
efficient
1:07:07
while
1:07:07
they're,
1:07:07
while
1:07:08
they're
1:07:08
on
1:07:08
the
1:07:08
bike.
1:07:09
So
1:07:09
super
1:07:10
excited
1:07:10
about
1:07:11
the
1:07:11
crawl
1:07:11
changer
1:07:11
bodies.
1:07:12
We
1:07:12
got
1:07:13
shrimp
1:07:13
stuff
1:07:13
coming,
1:07:14
crab
1:07:14
stuff
1:07:14
coming.
1:07:15
The
1:07:16
3D
1:07:16
wings
1:07:17
are
1:07:17
out
1:07:17
now
1:07:18
along
1:07:18
with
1:07:18
the
1:07:18
helger
1:07:19
mite
1:07:19
and
1:07:19
crawl
1:07:19
bodies.
1:07:20
And
1:07:21
you
1:07:21
know
1:07:21
there's
1:07:22
a
1:07:22
whole
1:07:22
lot
1:07:22
of
1:07:23
like
1:07:23
30
1:07:23
plus
1:07:24
years
1:07:24
of
1:07:24
stuff
1:07:24
I've
1:07:25
been
1:07:25
sitting
1:07:25
on
1:07:26
that's
1:07:26
finally
1:07:26
going
1:07:27
to
1:07:27
be
1:07:27
hitting
1:07:27
the
1:07:27
market
1:07:28
here
1:07:28
over
1:07:28
the
1:07:28
next
1:07:28
couple
1:07:29
years.
1:07:29
It's
1:07:30
really
1:07:30
neat.
1:07:30
So
1:07:31
folks
1:07:31
should
1:07:31
either
1:07:31
go
1:07:31
to
1:07:31
the
1:07:32
chocolate
1:07:32
factory
1:07:32
or
1:07:33
go
1:07:33
to
1:07:33
one
1:07:33
of
1:07:33
your
1:07:33
dealers,
1:07:33
right?
1:07:35
Yes
1:07:35
sir,
1:07:36
absolutely.
1:07:37
Yeah.
1:07:37
And
1:07:38
I'll
1:07:38
try
1:07:38
to,
1:07:38
I'll
1:07:38
definitely
1:07:39
drop
1:07:39
a
1:07:39
link
1:07:39
to
1:07:39
the
1:07:39
chocolate
1:07:40
factory
1:07:40
and
1:07:40
I'll
1:07:40
see
1:07:40
if
1:07:40
I
1:07:40
can
1:07:41
pull
1:07:41
together
1:07:42
all
1:07:42
the
1:07:42
links
1:07:42
for
1:07:42
all
1:07:43
your
1:07:43
dealers.
1:07:43
I
1:07:43
know
1:07:43
it's
1:07:43
a
1:07:44
small
1:07:44
group,
1:07:44
but
1:07:44
it
1:07:44
is
1:07:45
growing
1:07:45
a
1:07:45
little
1:07:45
bit
1:07:45
every
1:07:45
day.
1:07:46
And
1:07:46
you
1:07:47
know,
1:07:47
Blaine,
1:07:47
before
1:07:48
I
1:07:48
let
1:07:48
you
1:07:48
go,
1:07:48
you
1:07:48
want
1:07:48
to
1:07:48
let
1:07:49
folks
1:07:49
know
1:07:49
if
1:07:49
they
1:07:49
want
1:07:49
to
1:07:50
kind
1:07:50
of
1:07:50
learn
1:07:50
more
1:07:50
about
1:07:50
the
1:07:51
chocolate
1:07:51
factory
1:07:51
and
1:07:51
kind
1:07:52
of
1:07:52
what
1:07:52
you're
1:07:52
doing
1:07:52
at
1:07:52
the
1:07:52
vice
1:07:53
and
1:07:53
on
1:07:53
the
1:07:53
water
1:07:54
where
1:07:54
they
1:07:54
should
1:07:54
go.
1:07:56
Yeah.
1:07:56
So
1:07:57
you
1:07:57
can
1:07:57
reach
1:07:57
me
1:07:57
at
1:07:57
blainechocolatefishing
1:07:59
on
1:07:59
Instagram
1:08:00
or
1:08:00
Facebook.
1:08:01
I
1:08:02
have
1:08:02
that
1:08:02
website,
1:08:03
you
1:08:03
know,
1:08:04
Blain
1:08:05
chocolate.com
1:08:07
then
1:08:07
the,
1:08:08
the
1:08:08
Shopify
1:08:09
store
1:08:10
that's
1:08:10
attached
1:08:11
to
1:08:11
all
1:08:11
that
1:08:12
stuff.
1:08:12
And
1:08:12
like
1:08:12
I
1:08:12
said,
1:08:13
we
1:08:13
have
1:08:14
many
1:08:14
great
1:08:14
dealers
1:08:15
including
1:08:16
Mad
1:08:16
River
1:08:17
Outfitters,
1:08:17
Schultz
1:08:18
Outfitters,
1:08:18
Saltwater
1:08:19
Edge.
1:08:20
We
1:08:20
have,
1:08:20
you
1:08:21
know,
1:08:21
the
1:08:21
Fishhawk
1:08:21
in
1:08:22
Atlanta.
1:08:22
We're
1:08:22
got
1:08:23
kind
1:08:23
of
1:08:23
have
1:08:24
dealers
1:08:24
strategically
1:08:25
place
1:08:27
all
1:08:28
through
1:08:28
the
1:08:28
country
1:08:29
and
1:08:29
adding
1:08:29
a
1:08:30
few
1:08:30
here
1:08:30
and
1:08:30
there,
1:08:31
not
1:08:32
wanting
1:08:32
to
1:08:32
leave
1:08:32
anybody
1:08:33
out.
1:08:33
TCO
1:08:34
and
1:08:34
Pennsylvania
1:08:35
region
1:08:35
and
1:08:36
bears
1:08:37
den
1:08:37
up
1:08:37
in
1:08:38
that
1:08:38
New
1:08:38
England
1:08:39
area
1:08:40
and
1:08:40
along
1:08:40
with
1:08:41
Saltwater
1:08:41
Edge
1:08:41
and
1:08:42
Rhode
1:08:42
island
1:08:42
and
1:08:43
then
1:08:43
we
1:08:43
have
1:08:43
some
1:08:43
dealers
1:08:44
for
1:08:44
opening
1:08:44
up
1:08:45
out
1:08:45
west
1:08:45
a
1:08:45
little
1:08:45
bit
1:08:46
and
1:08:46
looking
1:08:47
to
1:08:47
expand
1:08:47
it
1:08:48
a
1:08:48
little
1:08:48
bit
1:08:48
more
1:08:48
here
1:08:49
in
1:08:49
the
1:08:49
future.
1:08:50
And
1:08:50
you
1:08:51
know,
1:08:51
it's
1:08:51
just
1:08:51
about
1:08:52
putting
1:08:53
out
1:08:53
good
1:08:53
quality
1:08:54
flies
1:08:54
and
1:08:55
not,
1:08:55
you
1:08:56
know,
1:08:57
trying
1:08:58
to
1:08:58
mass
1:08:59
produce.
1:08:59
I
1:08:59
want
1:09:00
all
1:09:00
the
1:09:00
flies
1:09:00
to
1:09:01
be
1:09:01
the
1:09:01
quality
1:09:02
that
1:09:02
I
1:09:02
want
1:09:03
and
1:09:03
the
1:09:03
materials
1:09:04
are
1:09:04
a
1:09:05
big
1:09:05
part
1:09:05
of
1:09:05
that
1:09:05
and
1:09:06
the
1:09:06
materials
1:09:07
are
1:09:07
a
1:09:07
lot
1:09:08
easier
1:09:08
to
1:09:08
control
1:09:09
over
1:09:09
than
1:09:09
hand
1:09:09
tied
1:09:10
flies.
1:09:10
So
1:09:11
that's
1:09:12
kind
1:09:12
of
1:09:12
part
1:09:12
of
1:09:12
the
1:09:13
whole
1:09:13
thing
1:09:13
too.
1:09:14
So,
1:09:14
you
1:09:14
know,
1:09:14
you
1:09:15
could
1:09:15
reach
1:09:15
out
1:09:15
to
1:09:15
me
1:09:16
or
1:09:16
my
1:09:17
dealers
1:09:18
and
1:09:18
I
1:09:19
know
1:09:19
I've
1:09:19
left
1:09:19
a
1:09:19
few
1:09:20
out,
1:09:20
but
1:09:20
I'm
1:09:20
more
1:09:21
than
1:09:21
happy
1:09:21
to
1:09:21
talk
1:09:22
to
1:09:22
anybody
1:09:22
that
1:09:22
wants
1:09:23
to
1:09:23
reach
1:09:23
out
1:09:23
about
1:09:23
any
1:09:24
dealers
1:09:24
that
1:09:24
might
1:09:24
be
1:09:25
near
1:09:25
them
1:09:25
that
1:09:25
I
1:09:25
didn't
1:09:26
mention.
1:09:26
Yeah,
1:09:26
I
1:09:27
know
1:09:27
the
1:09:27
one
1:09:27
closest
1:09:27
to
1:09:27
me
1:09:28
is
1:09:28
probably
1:09:28
Tailwaters
1:09:29
and
1:09:29
in
1:09:30
Bluff
1:09:30
City.
1:09:30
But
1:09:31
also
1:09:31
too,
1:09:32
you
1:09:32
know,
1:09:32
you've
1:09:32
got
1:09:33
some
1:09:33
pretty
1:09:33
cool
1:09:33
apparel,
1:09:34
right?
1:09:35
Yep,
1:09:35
yep.
1:09:36
So
1:09:36
yeah,
1:09:37
we've
1:09:37
gotten
1:09:37
into
1:09:37
that
1:09:38
a
1:09:38
little
1:09:38
bit.
1:09:38
I've
1:09:38
got
1:09:39
some
1:09:39
cool
1:09:39
hats
1:09:39
that
1:09:40
we
1:09:40
designed
1:09:40
with
1:09:40
the,
1:09:41
the
1:09:41
game
1:09:41
changer
1:09:42
logos
1:09:43
and
1:09:43
T
1:09:44
shirts
1:09:44
and
1:09:44
sun
1:09:45
shirts
1:09:45
and
1:09:45
hoodies
1:09:46
and
1:09:47
whatnot.
1:09:47
And
1:09:47
we've,
1:09:48
we've
1:09:48
got,
1:09:49
you
1:09:49
know,
1:09:49
a
1:09:49
bunch
1:09:49
of
1:09:50
different
1:09:50
products
1:09:50
that
1:09:51
we're
1:09:51
going
1:09:51
to
1:09:51
be
1:09:52
gradually
1:09:52
releasing
1:09:53
over
1:09:53
time
1:09:53
too
1:09:54
that
1:09:54
working
1:09:55
with
1:09:55
some
1:09:55
of
1:09:55
my
1:09:57
companies
1:09:57
that
1:09:58
sponsor
1:09:58
me
1:09:59
and
1:09:59
whatnot.
1:09:59
So
1:10:00
yeah,
1:10:00
stay
1:10:01
tuned
1:10:01
to
1:10:01
all
1:10:01
that
1:10:01
stuff.
1:10:01
We,
1:10:02
you
1:10:02
know,
1:10:02
we're
1:10:02
just
1:10:02
in
1:10:03
the
1:10:03
beginning
1:10:03
of
1:10:03
this
1:10:04
Choco
1:10:05
factory
1:10:05
is
1:10:05
only
1:10:05
a
1:10:05
year
1:10:06
old
1:10:06
and
1:10:07
we're
1:10:07
excited
1:10:08
about
1:10:08
the
1:10:08
future
1:10:08
and
1:10:09
I
1:10:09
can't
1:10:10
wait
1:10:10
to
1:10:10
share
1:10:10
with
1:10:10
everybody
1:10:11
that
1:10:11
stuff
1:10:12
that
1:10:12
I've
1:10:12
learned
1:10:13
and
1:10:13
from
1:10:14
friends
1:10:14
and
1:10:15
whatnot
1:10:15
and
1:10:15
stuff
1:10:15
I've
1:10:16
learned
1:10:16
on
1:10:16
my
1:10:16
own
1:10:16
over
1:10:16
the
1:10:17
years
1:10:17
and
1:10:18
yeah,
1:10:18
gonna
1:10:18
be
1:10:19
a
1:10:19
good
1:10:19
time.
1:10:19
And
1:10:20
I
1:10:20
think
1:10:20
we.
1:10:21
We
1:10:21
got
1:10:21
some
1:10:21
cool
1:10:22
stuff
1:10:22
to
1:10:22
share
1:10:22
with
1:10:22
everybody.
1:10:23
Yeah.
1:10:23
I
1:10:24
mean,
1:10:24
an
1:10:24
Easter
1:10:24
will
1:10:24
be
1:10:24
here
1:10:25
before
1:10:25
you
1:10:25
know
1:10:25
it,
1:10:25
so
1:10:25
you
1:10:26
need
1:10:26
to
1:10:26
get
1:10:26
your
1:10:26
game
1:10:26
changer
1:10:27
socks.
1:10:27
Right.
1:10:28
There
1:10:28
you
1:10:28
go.
1:10:29
Yep,
1:10:29
got
1:10:29
those
1:10:30
two,
1:10:30
man.
1:10:31
Gotta
1:10:31
go
1:10:31
to
1:10:31
church
1:10:32
or
1:10:32
business
1:10:32
wearing
1:10:33
your
1:10:33
game
1:10:33
changer
1:10:33
socks.
1:10:34
Gotta
1:10:35
change
1:10:35
that
1:10:35
game.
1:10:36
That's
1:10:36
exactly
1:10:37
right.
1:10:37
It'll
1:10:37
definitely
1:10:38
change
1:10:38
your
1:10:38
game.
1:10:38
Well,
1:10:39
listen,
1:10:39
Blaine,
1:10:39
I
1:10:40
super
1:10:40
appreciate
1:10:40
you
1:10:41
making
1:10:41
the
1:10:41
time
1:10:41
to.
1:10:42
To
1:10:42
be
1:10:43
the
1:10:43
first
1:10:43
episode
1:10:43
on
1:10:43
the
1:10:43
butcher
1:10:44
shop,
1:10:44
and
1:10:44
I
1:10:44
super
1:10:45
appreciate
1:10:45
all
1:10:45
of
1:10:45
your
1:10:45
friendship
1:10:46
and
1:10:46
support
1:10:46
over
1:10:47
the
1:10:47
years.
1:10:48
You
1:10:48
too,
1:10:48
buddy.
1:10:49
I'm
1:10:49
very
1:10:50
honored
1:10:50
that
1:10:50
you
1:10:50
had
1:10:51
me
1:10:51
and
1:10:51
love
1:10:52
what
1:10:52
you're
1:10:52
doing
1:10:52
and
1:10:53
keep
1:10:53
doing
1:10:53
it
1:10:54
because
1:10:54
you're
1:10:54
just
1:10:54
adding
1:10:55
to
1:10:55
that
1:10:55
body
1:10:55
of
1:10:55
work
1:10:56
that
1:10:56
we
1:10:56
all
1:10:57
striving
1:10:57
to
1:10:58
kind
1:10:58
of
1:10:58
make
1:10:59
sure
1:10:59
make
1:11:00
this
1:11:00
fort
1:11:00
better
1:11:00
than
1:11:01
what
1:11:01
it
1:11:01
was
1:11:01
before
1:11:01
we
1:11:02
got
1:11:02
here.
1:11:02
Yeah,
1:11:03
I
1:11:03
appreciate
1:11:03
it.
1:11:03
Well,
1:11:03
listen,
1:11:04
you
1:11:04
take
1:11:04
care
1:11:04
and
1:11:04
I'll
1:11:04
see
1:11:05
you
1:11:05
soon.
1:11:06
Thanks.
1:11:06
You
1:11:07
too.
1:11:08
Well,
1:11:08
folks,
1:11:08
we
1:11:09
hope
1:11:09
you
1:11:09
enjoyed
1:11:09
the
1:11:09
interview
1:11:10
as
1:11:10
much
1:11:10
as
1:11:10
we
1:11:10
enjoyed
1:11:11
bringing
1:11:11
it
1:11:11
to
1:11:11
you.
1:11:12
Don't
1:11:12
forget
1:11:12
to
1:11:12
check
1:11:12
out
1:11:13
the
1:11:13
links
1:11:13
to
1:11:13
all
1:11:13
of
1:11:13
this
1:11:14
episode's
1:11:14
sponsors
1:11:14
