- 2:30www.worldwidesportsradio.com. The Mavericks won the NBA
- 2:37lottery with just a 1.8% chance of winning it, which was fourth
- 2:43lowest percentage of any team eligible for a lottery.
- 2:47The odds were fourth lowest of any team since the lottery
- 2:51format began in 1985. Who was that?
- 2:54Patrick Ewing. The Spurs got the number two
- 2:58pick despite having the eighth highest percentage of, landing
- 3:02the number one pick at just 6%. The Jazz, Hornets, and Wizards
- 3:07had 14% odds for the number one pick and neither of them got in
- 3:12the top three. The 76ers got the top three pick
- 3:16as they they pick #3 in the draft after having the third
- 3:21highest odds. They're their highest draft pick
- 3:25since Markel's faults and we all know what happened to him in
- 3:282017. Many fans believe there is a
- 3:32conspiracy with teams losing players like The Mavericks lost
- 3:35Luka Doncic. People brought up LeBron James
- 3:39leaving the Cavaliers in 2011 and Anthony Davis being traded
- 3:43to the Pelicans in 2019. We all remember that one as
- 3:48well. I which was they had
- 3:50back-to-back years of #1 picks. They had Kyrie Irving after
- 3:55LeBron James and who was the other guy?
- 3:56Anthony Bennett. Anthony Bennett who had no
- 3:59career was a horrible pick. I'll never forget Anthony
- 4:03Bennett. I think two years.
- 4:04Later, they had it again. They had Andrew Wiggins, so they
- 4:06then traded for Kevin Love. I remember.
- 4:08Could you imagine in a team having the three number one
- 4:11picks in 10 years and, and really none of those guys had
- 4:16anything to do besides Kyrie Irving with one of those
- 4:18championships. How sad is that?
- 4:20And all of those guys are no longer on the Cavaliers.
- 4:23None of them. Well, Bennett didn't last in the
- 4:26league at all. Two years.
- 4:27Wiggins, you know, has bounced around as a role player,
- 4:30basically. I, I didn't understand the
- 4:32Bennett. I, I didn't understand Bennett
- 4:34going one. A lot of people thought, a lot
- 4:37of people thought he was maybe best an 8th or 9th pick in the
- 4:41draft and he went one and it made no sense.
- 4:43He didn't fit the way you thought the Cavaliers were going
- 4:47to try to build, maybe trying to fit an athletic big man who is
- 4:51about 6867-A LeBron James type of body.
- 4:54But he wasn't LeBron James and he wasn't LeBron James was built
- 4:58like, I don't know, like an Olympian.
- 5:01I didn't see that with Bennett. He was overweight.
- 5:04I had some size to him. I didn't understand it.
- 5:06He was a dunker, so it didn't make any sense.
- 5:08I didn't understand how the first of all, I don't understand
- 5:12how the format with the NBA works.
- 5:14It really bothers me that and I I knew when The Mavericks, the
- 5:1976ers and the Spurs were in the final four, I knew those guys
- 5:24were going 1-2 and three. I didn't think the Hornets were
- 5:26getting in the top three. I knew they were going to fall
- 5:29the four. And it's just very fitting the
- 5:31way the NBA works when the Spurs lost Webanyama and, and he was
- 5:35out and he could be out a significant amount of time next
- 5:38year with a blood clot. We don't know when he's going to
- 5:40return. We don't know when he's coming
- 5:41back, even though a lot of people think he's going to be
- 5:43back in the beginning of the season.
- 5:45I just had some thoughts on why the Spurs were possibly going to
- 5:49win the draft. And I remember Tim Duncan with
- 5:52Wake Forest when they had, I think they were the 8th or 9th
- 5:55best team to get the first first pick and they went from 8th or
- 5:599th all the way to first. It was very fitting and the and
- 6:03it really changed the the trajectory.
- 6:06What's the word trajectory? Trajectory of the Spurs, you
- 6:10know with David Robinson. David Robinson was at the tail
- 6:12end of his career. If you remember it was 979697
- 6:17when they drafted Tim Duncan. It took what, 2 1/2 years for
- 6:20them to win a title with Tim Duncan and David Robinson.
- 6:23David Robinson ride off to the sunset and then Tim Duncan took
- 6:26over. He added Manu Ginobili, he added
- 6:29Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard eventually and you build
- 6:31championship after championship after championship. 5
- 6:34championship with the great Gregg Popovich as we all know
- 6:37what I think of them. I just look at what The
- 6:41Mavericks have done to their organization and it was very
- 6:44fitting at the LJA draft, the LeBron James Association draft,
- 6:49that The Mavericks would win the number one pick.
- 6:52LeBron gets Luka Doncic and has a chance to maybe lay in another
- 6:55superstar to play with him for the next, I don't know, 5 or 4
- 6:59years. Whenever LeBron decides to walk
- 7:01away, which seems to be never until he tries to tie a tight
- 7:04Kobe Bryant or even tie Michael Jordan.
- 7:07And you know what, LeBron? LeBron just, you know, waves his
- 7:10magic wand, as I said. And automatically at 1.8%
- 7:14chance, they get the number one pick and they get the great
- 7:18prize in Cooper Flag. And, and this is great for the
- 7:21Dallas Mavericks in their organization because Cooper Flag
- 7:24is the face of United States basketball.
- 7:27I've said this and I'll say it again, it's perfect.
- 7:30Luka Tajik, one of the best foreign players in the world.
- 7:33Nobody gave a crap that he was there with Dallas.
- 7:35And now you get a guy that is just as athletic and just as
- 7:39gifted as Luka Doncic offensively, I believe, and
- 7:43defensively, I compare him to the white Kevin Durant.
- 7:46If Cooper flag turns into a Kevin Durant prototype who can
- 7:51play defense and do the things that he can do on a basketball
- 7:53court, well, who do you think wins in this trade?
- 7:57Nikko Harrison And Nikko Harrison at that press
- 8:00conference, does anybody remember what Nikko said?
- 8:03Nikko says I got a plan, I got a plan and my plan will happen at
- 8:09the end of the season. Now, I don't know if it's plan
- 8:11was to get the number one pick, but the NBA had a plan for him
- 8:15to get the number one pick if they were going to trade Luka
- 8:17Dodgek. I don't know if it's a
- 8:19conspiracy theory, but it didn't make any sense how the Lakers
- 8:23were the only team up for grab for Luka Dodgek.
- 8:26They get Luka Dodgek and then they become the third best team
- 8:29in the Western Conference. The Mavericks sneak in on that
- 8:32playing game, lose and everybody says, ah, this team's going to
- 8:35be garbage and then what do they get?
- 8:37They get Cooper Flake, horrible. The Spurs getting the number two
- 8:41pick horrible. I don't like it.
- 8:43It's not very good for Fox unless the Spurs trade that
- 8:46pick, which me and you, Mr. Fish have been talking about.
- 8:50Maybe they use that to get Giannis.
- 8:52I don't know. I don't think it makes sense.
- 8:54But are they going to trade for a point guard to get a guy?
- 8:57I don't know if the Bucks are going to be looking for a point
- 9:00guard, a young point guard from Rutgers.
- 9:02I don't trust Rutgers players out of basketball to go to the
- 9:06NBA and become superstars. I just don't trust it.
- 9:08When was the last time could you remember a Rutgers player that
- 9:11left Rutgers and became a star? No, you can't.
- 9:14And I'm not going to bet on a Rutgers player to go to the NBA
- 9:17and become a superstar. So I think it's a bad.
- 9:20Move the pride of New Jersey, you're talking.
- 9:22About I'm just speaking the truth.
- 9:23If it's not here, we could take shots.
- 9:24I'm just speaking the truth. I I'm, I'm very upset at the NBA
- 9:28because the Jazz deserved at least the top five pick.
- 9:31They didn't get it. The Hornets, they get the 4th
- 9:34pick. The Hornets are just a bad
- 9:36organization. Lamella Ball is going to
- 9:38probably leave the organization very, very soon because he knows
- 9:41they have no chance of winning. And he's the type of type of
- 9:43person in that family, the type of family that would stab the
- 9:47the the Hornets in the back. So I could see Lamella Ball
- 9:50leave it and the Wizards come on, what do they have look to
- 9:53look up to and look forward to? Nothing.
- 9:55They've got nothing. What do they where are they
- 9:58sitting 7th, 8th. I mean, it's just they got
- 10:02screwed. I don't like it.
- 10:03I don't like that the the Spurs are a borderline playoff team in
- 10:06the second-half, adding the Aaron Fox.
- 10:08Now they have webbing Yama, They they have the Aaron Fox.
- 10:11And even if they don't go with the point guard, they get
- 10:13another castle. Yeah, they can get Castle.
- 10:16Yeah, they can get, I'm sorry, they have Castle, but you know
- 10:19what I'm saying? They can they can add another
- 10:21player to a roster that's pretty loaded as far as youth is
- 10:25concerned. So I don't like it.
- 10:27I think the NBA is completely selfish, and I don't want to
- 10:30hear it that this is the way the Bulls dropped.
- 10:33The NHL did it right? They did it in front of the
- 10:35cameras. They did it in front of the
- 10:36fans. Why is it the NBA, they have a
- 10:39room of eight machines and nobody can go in and nobody can
- 10:44go out while they're doing these these balls and these picks and
- 10:48then all of a sudden you're picking up cards and you're
- 10:50raising these cards. I think there's something behind
- 10:53it. I think the NBA needs to show
- 10:55how they're, they're, they're picking these balls and how
- 10:59they're, they're these, these teams are winning the lottery
- 11:02because the NHL proved that they're not cheating.
- 11:04The NHL proved that it was fair and square the way it landed and
- 11:08how the Islanders just won the draft.
- 11:10And this is despicable, absolutely despicable.
- 11:13Absolutely. There should be an investigation
- 11:15on The Mavericks winning 1.8% chance.
- 11:19I mean, you're better off when you have a better chance of
- 11:21winning the regular lottery than winning the NBA lottery at 1.8%.
- 11:25It's despicable, absolutely despicable.
- 11:28The NBA has some, There's got to be some questions.
- 11:30I think a writer should come out there and attack the NBA from
- 11:33this. One of those things where you
- 11:35see one of these top three picks get weird because that's the
- 11:38design of the lottery. That's why these these guys have
- 11:40advocated away from tanking and they have punished teams like
- 11:43The Mavericks in the past and the Bulls and seems like that
- 11:46for tanking at the end of the season.
- 11:47And they don't want that kind of thing to be a precedent because
- 11:51they want competitive product, which they're not going to get
- 11:53in the regular season anyway because of low management.
- 11:55So let's see what the NBA does instead.
- 11:57Let's go. What scenario is going to create
- 11:58the most storylines as a result? Nico Harrison's being
- 12:01scrutinized because of these, all his dumb things that he said
- 12:04and all these dumb things that he's done.
- 12:06So he's going to be looked at. No, let's reward him with the
- 12:08number one pick. Let's see how they could either
- 12:10screw it up or let's see how Cooper flags in a rot in Dallas.
- 12:13Eventually that team could move to Vegas.
- 12:14Like you were thinking Errol but the casinos over.
- 12:16There it might happen. Now it might happen.
- 12:18And, and all of a sudden, all right, let's let's go draw up
- 12:20the storylines then obviously the spurs are going to have a
- 12:22lot of storylines too with Wembe obviously Popovich not there
- 12:24anymore. How is this team going to be the
- 12:26same with a 38 year old unproven coach Now Popovich is still
- 12:28going to be have an influence in the.
- 12:29Organization. But you said the same thing
- 12:31about Duke with Cooper Flag and his great coach of John Shire.
- 12:35Like, is it really to make a difference of how good of a
- 12:37coach you could actually is, where it's going to be?
- 12:39Those guys going to be influenced and college, it's not
- 12:41the same as the NBA. You don't have this kind of
- 12:43recruiting prowess. They still have to make these
- 12:44front office decisions. Maybe they do make a big swing.
- 12:47Maybe if it's not somebody like Giannis and somebody as big as
- 12:50Giannis, maybe somebody likes the bonus and reunite him with
- 12:52Fox. Spank up speedy spank up is.
- 12:54Definitely a possibility, but there's tons of options that
- 12:56they have with. The drop, right?
- 12:58With the number two pick and they have the eighth highest
- 13:01odds. One is 11/1 is 8.
- 13:03There's a pro sexual action official on the other end of it.
- 13:06The top three seeds, which this isn't the issue I've had with
- 13:09it. They had all similar
- 13:10percentages. I think it should be based more
- 13:12on the game's back rather than the one default percentage.
- 13:15What if you have a team that's like 12 win season and like, or
- 13:18even Detroit last year, how atrociously bad they were and
- 13:20they felt a fire or something like that.
- 13:22And then there's a pattern that's constantly going on.
- 13:25The Wizards got the number one or the number two pick last
- 13:27year. OK, that's fine.
- 13:28But the Hornets, when's the last time the Hornets actually added
- 13:30too? But the the Jazz When's the last
- 13:33time they've had a pick that early?
- 13:34And they? They fall all the way to 5 like
- 13:36it's something a little off there.
- 13:39I farted, I don't. Really care about the Jazz or
- 13:42anything like that. But I'll say this.
- 13:45The first, second and third picks in this draft were all
- 13:49people teams that jumped the Sixers or the third pick.
- 13:52We didn't even talk about them yet.
- 13:54They were they weren't supposed to be there either.
- 13:57So I saw there was a statistic that said something like it was
- 14:01well over 8000 to one odds that this it would go that those
- 14:06three teams were in the top four, like 8000 to one, that all
- 14:11three of them would be up there with the Hornets, who had the
- 14:14best odds coming in. We should have been up there.
- 14:18That's real fishy, man. I'm sorry.
- 14:21That's pretty crazy. It feels like they, they
- 14:24identified 3 teams, the NBA that they wanted to help out Dallas
- 14:28for getting all this back Flack. Or if they say it was rigged.
- 14:31I, I don't even know what to believe.
- 14:33I don't trust them. Everything is has to do with the
- 14:35Lakers and these types of things.
- 14:36I'm real. It smells real fishy to me, the
- 14:39fact that you know, you get, he gets Luca and now we reward you
- 14:43with the first pick overall. Yeah, Cooper, I.
- 14:45Don't know, you know, I don't know how I feel about that.
- 14:48And then you have the Spurs when we had that blood clot thing.
- 14:52So they they want to make sure they have a star there.
- 14:55And then you have the Sixers and then beat who knows what he's
- 14:58going to look like after whatever they do to his legs,
- 15:01because he he he I would argue we've seen the best of him beat
- 15:05at this point. So I could I just feels like
- 15:08they were trying to help out those teams.
- 15:10I could be completely wrong and it's just dumb luck, but that's
- 15:14pretty crazy luck If it's like over 8000 to 1, you know, that's
- 15:19that's way more than what Chaz got for his horses.
- 15:22Yep, on the Kentucky Derby. Could you imagine?
- 15:26Could you imagine if you were a betting handicapped man and you
- 15:29put $1000 on The Mavericks winning the number one pick?
- 15:34You guys would have made yourself a lot of money.
- 15:37And you know what? Next year.
- 15:38Mavericks, Spurs, Sixers and you put $1000 down on 8001, you
- 15:44would have won 800,000 or is it 8 million?
- 15:46I think it's $8 million. You know what?
- 15:48Next year? Ridiculous year.
- 15:50I'm betting on the draft. I'm betting on the draft.
- 15:52I might as well put 100 because if I put 100 on it, I'm making
- 15:5680,000. So I if I had the one and two
- 16:00and three pick, which I told you, you had the 76ers, I had
- 16:05the Spurs and why not The Mavericks?
- 16:07I mean, we were, we were speaking about it before the
- 16:09draft, like weeks and weeks. Before the NBA would dare do.
- 16:12That no. We didn't.
- 16:13They wouldn't dare. And of course they did.
- 16:16Yeah, well, that's because the it's not the NBA, it's the LJ.
- 16:19LeBron, I'm not going to lie to you here.
- 16:22If you guys don't think this anymore or any fan out there
- 16:25doesn't think what I'm telling you or trying to push to all the
- 16:30fans listening to the show right now that LeBron James has
- 16:32something to do with it with Adam Silver.
- 16:34Well, guys, now you know, why don't you pat me on the back.
- 16:37You might want to hate me on social media.
- 16:39I'll pat myself on the back because I was right as I always
- 16:46and sometimes, I'm going to say all the time sometimes.
- 16:49Now the real question, we were talking about the Celtics.
- 16:51If like Tatum was hurt all of all, next year where she
- 16:54probably will. Be I'm putting you on a lease
- 16:55now. Getting a lower pick would with
- 16:57LeBron and the LeBron James Association.
- 16:59Really want to reward his favorite player and Jalen Brown
- 17:02that likes to take shot at his son though.
- 17:03Yeah, I mean, come on, LeBron James should never have made the
- 17:08NBA. We all know that.
- 17:09But the NBA obviously wants to sell that because it's LeBron
- 17:13James's son and Bryce, who I think is going to be a really
- 17:17good player in the NBA when he gets his chance.
- 17:19Let's just see how he, you know, where he goes and where he
- 17:22decides to go and play his college ball.
- 17:24But when he actually goes and plays pretty good ball over
- 17:28there in college, I'm interested to see where Bryce goes.
- 17:30But it's embarrassing. The NBA is trying to build a
- 17:34product which is already built, it's already growing
- 17:37internationally, and what they're doing right now is
- 17:40making a mockery of their organization.
- 17:42Because anybody that thinks that the NBA had nothing to do with
- 17:45The Mavericks getting the number one and the Spurs getting
- 17:48another #2 and the 76ers getting #3 then you guys don't know
- 17:51basketball. There is nothing fake about
- 17:55this. I have been saying this all the
- 17:57time. I do a radio show.
- 17:58I do a sports radio show, and I'm a big sports fan.
- 18:01Sports has become a business and what they're trying to sell is
- 18:06not the team, they're selling the players and the players on
- 18:11where they play obviously is going to build sponsorships and
- 18:16productivity for that organization to sell a casino.
- 18:21Could you imagine what Cooper Cup is going to be in this
- 18:23league if he becomes anything that I think he was going to
- 18:26become 5-6 years ago? Like I thought he was going to
- 18:29be a * Could you imagine if he's the face of United States
- 18:31basketball and Dallas now says we got the best player in United
- 18:37States basketball. OK, you want a casino, put a
- 18:41casino right here, you can have it.
- 18:42Here you go. You got Cooper flag.
- 18:44Now you can wave, wave the United States flag and say, OK,
- 18:48mark the trail right over here. Dallas, you can have it.
- 18:52This is perfect for the Dallas Mavericks.
- 18:54This is perfect for the NBA to give Dallas the one superstar
- 18:59that I believe could change an organization.
- 19:01Now, now, the real question. Will Nico Harrison do your best
- 19:04scenario, Best case scenario? Would he be dumb enough?
- 19:06Nico Harrison? Hold on, I know you like this
- 19:08one. Would he be dumb enough to fire
- 19:09Jason Kidd and hire John? First of all, why the hell was
- 19:12Ronaldo Blackman there? Ronaldo Blackman?
- 19:16I like Ronaldo, he played for the Knicks for a little while.
- 19:19I remember him in the 90s. Who the hell is Ronaldo
- 19:22Blackman? That is ridiculous.
- 19:25How is he the guy sitting? In that scene.
- 19:27Rolando Ronaldo, our man, Be man, whatever the hell you want
- 19:31to call him, who cares? It doesn't matter what his name
- 19:35is. I don't care what his name is,
- 19:38The fact that he's the guy that you picked to pick in that, to
- 19:41pick in that seat or sit in that seat, that's ridiculous.
- 19:44You should have had Nico Harrison because they put a
- 19:46probably he would have put a hex on that organization.
- 19:49I mean, it's just pathetic, absolutely pathetic.
- 19:51Go ahead. I'm I'm done with this.
- 19:53I am so mad at the NBA for the fact that the NBA allowed this.
- 19:57They allowed The Mavericks to get the number one pick and
- 20:00don't I want to hear Adam Silver say that this is fairly done.
- 20:04It's not fairly done a one point. 8% chance of winning the
- 20:08pick and you get the number one pick after trading your
- 20:11franchise player in the not even the prime of his career.
- 20:14He's 24 years old, 25. Despicable, embarrassing.
- 20:19Done. I'm done with it.
- 20:21Go ahead. I've got whatever whoever wants
- 20:23to speak, Tommy, you got it. Whatever.
- 20:26Just to say much more of the same.
- 20:28There's no way. There's no way that none of us
- 20:30this is rigged. I mean, of course what Nico
- 20:33Harrison has. And now The thing is that I want
- 20:35to ask you guys something but on.
- 20:36Paper. What do you guys, what do you
- 20:38guys think that The Mavericks finish next year?
- 20:40Because this team looks like a, it could.
- 20:43Kyrie Irving. Making Nico Harrison look like a
- 20:45genius. Kyrie Irvingsen, Kyrie Irving,
- 20:47I'm sorry, Irving. Kyrie Irving is not going to be
- 20:49back until the middle of the season.
- 20:51So I don't even know if Kyrie will be there by the by the next
- 20:55season. I think he'll be traded.
- 20:57I think there are teams interested in Kyrie Irving.
- 20:59They know they're going to have to wait.
- 21:00Maybe the Lakers. There are other teams now.
- 21:02The Lakers are going to have to figure out the cap, but they'll
- 21:05figure it out if it if it's the LJA, if they want Kyrie Irving,
- 21:08they're going to get them. Anthony Davis is not going to be
- 21:11there next year. I think what they're going to do
- 21:13Dallas is going to do is they're going to build around Cooper
- 21:15Flag. They're going to trade away
- 21:17these pieces and try to get as much draft stock as they
- 21:20possibly can and add young players to play with Cooper Flag
- 21:24for the future. Because next year there's a
- 21:25bunch of Dukies that are going to come out of the draft as
- 21:28well. And why not I there's one guy
- 21:31and I his two sons and you know, I'm talking about Mr. Speedster.
- 21:35So his son. Well, I'm sorry, Boozer.
- 21:38Yeah, the Boozer boys, the Boozer boys, They're, they're
- 21:41going to be highly profiled names in next year's draft class
- 21:46and I, they're want, they're probably going one and two or
- 21:49one and four or something of that magnitude.
- 21:51I wouldn't be surprised if another Duke player or two will
- 21:55go to The Mavericks cuz that's something the NBA would love to
- 21:58do. Give them whatever it takes to
- 22:00get them championship teams and, and put that casino cuz it's
- 22:04good for the NBA. You guys don't think so.
- 22:07How about you guys, Everybody listening to the show right now,
- 22:09you're going to tell me right now a casino doesn't help the
- 22:12NBA and the and the NBA grow their product.
- 22:15Bringing people internationally to go and watch the Dallas
- 22:18Mavericks. 100%. This is perfect.
- 22:20Just like Vegas. Just like bringing a Vegas
- 22:23basketball team. Yeah.
- 22:24You don't think that's going to Vegas?
- 22:25Is going to get an expansion team even if no one moves.
- 22:27It's going to happen. It's going to happen.
- 22:29They have a Vegas hockey team, they have a Vegas football team,
- 22:32they're going to have a Vegas basketball team.
- 22:35Why? Because it's Mucho De Niro.
- 22:37You're going to sell out people internationally and are going to
- 22:40go and watch those games, so they're going to sell out those
- 22:43tickets. And the same thing with the
- 22:44Dallas Mavericks. You're automatically going to
- 22:47become a fan because you have Cooper flag there and you get a
- 22:50chance to see one of the best young players, young American
- 22:52players we've seen in a very long time.
- 22:54Time to answer your question quickly before we go to let's
- 22:56parlay. I don't know.
- 22:57This year they're going to be as much different as they were the
- 22:59last year just because I think Cooper flag, as great, great as
- 23:03he is, he can only do so much. If Anthony Davis is going to be
- 23:05hurt half the season, Kyrie Irving is already going to be
- 23:08hurt more than half the season as it is.
- 23:09So it's going to be tough to manage all that.
- 23:11Kyrie's gone. I'm telling you right now,
- 23:13there's no way there's a strong possibility they're not keeping
- 23:16Kyrie Irving. I'm telling you right now, don't
- 23:17be surprised by after the draft or during the draft, you're
- 23:21going to hear a rumbling that Kyrie Irving is going to be
- 23:24gone. He's going to go to a
- 23:25championship team tearing his ACL.
- 23:27There's no way The Mavericks are going to keep Kyrie Irving.
- 23:31There's going to be a contender that's going to be looking for
- 23:33somebody that's going to get him over the hump.
- 23:35I'm telling you, remember I said this, the Lakers are definitely
- 23:40a possibility. So don't forget I said that.
- 23:43When it happens, you're going to say, how the hell are you?
- 23:45Are you in cahoots with the Lakers?
- 23:47I'm just telling you guys, this is what I believe.
- 23:49It's the LJA. Kyrie Irving has played his best
- 23:52basketball with who? LeBron James, Luca Dodgicks
- 23:56there. Who did Luca play his best
- 23:57basketball with Kyrie Irving? It makes a lot of sense.
- 24:01But through I was going to say two and three together and I
- 24:05would put one and three together because that's where they're
- 24:06going to be 1-2 and three. Sell that baby, put that on.
- 24:10You know, I'm going to put a bet on it.
- 24:11Can I place a bet on it? Is there any possible way I can
- 24:14make a bet that Kyrie Irving is going to be a Laker?
- 24:16I I wonder if I could and what what kind of odds there are
- 24:19Probably I got to ask Reno, Johnny, I'm going to.
- 24:23Say. I got to ask Reno Johnny, but.
- 24:25Don't you think they should tear it down, though?
- 24:28They really should. Who, The Lakers?
- 24:31No, the Lakers the matter. They are going to tear it down.
- 24:34But but you know they have those guys and you wanted them to get
- 24:37younger guys. You know you can get something
- 24:40for Kyrie. The Lakers don't have a lot.
- 24:41It's going to have to be 3 team deals and you know they'll find
- 24:44a way because the Lakers have LeBron James on the team and the
- 24:49and Anthony Davis. I think they keep Anthony Davis
- 24:53though. You know, Nico was pretty
- 24:55adamant that defence wins championships not that long ago
- 25:00and he thought that Anthony Davis brings the defence that
- 25:03wins the championships. And I think that may have been
- 25:06the case a few years ago and maybe not the case anymore.
- 25:09But I feel like he can't back out of this deal this year.
- 25:12I, I don't, I disagree, Errol, I don't think he can, he can't, he
- 25:16can't just lose face that badly on the deal in less than one
- 25:19year. He's got to roll with.
- 25:20It they're going to trade him, they're going to trade him I.
- 25:22Don't think he can do it. I don't think he can.
- 25:25I I Absolutely. Harrison could easily get duped.
- 25:27I absolutely believe Harrison. In that position, I see him
- 25:31being able to be traded, but I don't think Nico can.
- 25:34How can that guy even like, talk?
- 25:36Anyone ever believe that anything that guy says ever
- 25:38again? Nobody believes him.
- 25:39No, we don't believe. Him.
- 25:40Nobody believes him. Why would anybody believe him
- 25:43after what he's done to an organization the way he has so
- 25:46and. He gets this dumb luck.
- 25:48It's not dumb luck. It's the LJI told you, LeBron
- 25:52James said let them win. I got Luca.
- 25:55They get Cooper, our deuce of the day.
- 25:58The deuce of the day. You log, not a log.
- 26:01I don't have a log, but no. Our deuce of the day goes to the
- 26:12NFL owners to discuss resolution to allow NFL players to
- 26:16participate in flag football in 2028 Olympics.
- 26:22As we all know the NFL and some of the owners, I would say half
- 26:25of the owners don't want their players playing in flag
- 26:29football. This coming well in in the next
- 26:32Olympics in 2028 will will be in two years.
- 26:35And here's the thing I would say when you look at the NFL and
- 26:39what flag football is going to bring for the Olympics and for
- 26:44the NFL and maybe endorsing international great sponsors.
- 26:49You absolutely let these players play in the Olympics if you want
- 26:54to be international and you want to bring international
- 26:57organizations from Saudi Arabia, one of the richest countries in
- 27:02the world, or England, or any one of those great, big,
- 27:07expensive, more popular countries.
- 27:10And you want to bring, I don't know you.
- 27:12You want to bring NFL teams to these countries in the future.
- 27:15You would absolutely want your best players playing in a flag
- 27:20football tournament. I I you're not tackling, you're
- 27:24you're pulling flags off your waist.
- 27:25Yeah, you could take your ACLI mean you're watching it right
- 27:29now with the NFL Pro Bowl. This is going to be more
- 27:32competitive. It's going to be more fun.
- 27:34You get to win a gold medal and you get to watch some of the
- 27:37fastest, some of the most athletic players on a football
- 27:41field. You'll get to see offensive
- 27:42lineman play on a three and three team and actually rundown
- 27:46the field and catch a football running a 48A47.
- 27:50This is this is great for the NFL internationally growing
- 27:53their product. Why are these owners complaining
- 27:56about it? You want the fans to be happy.
- 27:59You want international sponsors to love you.
- 28:02You absolutely allow it. So my deuce of the day goes to
- 28:06the ownerships and all the stupid owners that are arguing
- 28:11that the NFL should not attend the Olympics in the flag
- 28:14football tournament. So my deuce of the day goes to
- 28:17the NFL owners. Please, guys, stop being.
- 28:21I don't. I don't know who it is.
- 28:23It might be Jerry, it might be other guys.
- 28:25Woody Johnson, Stop being stupid, stop being idiots, and
- 28:29bring the NFL to the Olympics. Ladies and gentlemen, we've got
- 28:34the King of the Hill. Here's the King of the Hill.
- 28:38This, Bobby, is the Beltline. You never ever hit below that.
- 28:42Not that kind of King of the hill, you dumb.
- 28:44Are you ready? This is king of the hill.
- 28:50I actually like that drop. It's it's very.
- 28:52Bring everybody in, Nathan, Get in.
- 28:56Tommy, get in. Hold for.
- 29:00The. Hill guys, this is one of our
- 29:01newer games. This has got a three round game
- 29:05where we're trying to dethrone the king.
- 29:06Current king Errol Marks. The king has not been dethroned
- 29:10yet since we have started the 1st.
- 29:12I need a general tonic. The way this goes, we're going
- 29:20to go through the best in game dunkers in basketball history,
- 29:24so you got to say a dunker and give a good reason why and then
- 29:27we'll go. So and then Errol will decide
- 29:32who the two people who will move on to the next round are.
- 29:35Are you guys ready to play King of the Hill?
- 29:37Yeah, let's go. All right.
- 29:40Let's kill it. Let's start off with Jabba.
- 29:44Oh, best in game dunkers? There's so many.
- 29:51I just don't it's are we talking like stylistically or we just
- 29:55talking like overall? Whatever you want.
- 29:57I I think it's up to your interpretation, and your
- 30:01explanation is honestly more important than the name.
- 30:06I don't. All right, I'm going to have to
- 30:11go. Tracy McGrady comes to mind just
- 30:17because the athleticism, being long, being able to rise above
- 30:21everybody and kind of in that in that realm, there's so many that
- 30:25were so good. He I just, I think when I think
- 30:29of him like obviously great defender, prolific scored, but I
- 30:33just they were like in game dunks that I saw like I didn't
- 30:36want to use like somebody. Well, you just go with one.
- 30:39We're going to keep going. We're going to, everyone's going
- 30:40to give one. I'll go next.
- 30:42Jabba, there was a layup for you here and it was Michael Jordan.
- 30:46Michael Jordan. Everybody.
- 30:48The best in game dunker. Take a look at this one.
- 30:50I even have a highlight for you. I had to watch this one a
- 30:53million times growing up. This is.
- 30:55Why are you doing this stuff? Trying to block them and getting
- 30:57stuff. And yes, of course.
- 31:00I was actually watching that game live when that happened, so
- 31:04you guys know I was. That's one of those.
- 31:06I was. That you hate but you've seen in
- 31:08a. Million times.
- 31:09I was like 13 years old when he did that against the New York
- 31:12Knicks and Patrick killing show you guys.
- 31:15Tommy, you're up next. Favorite.
- 31:18Best of all time? I'm going to go with Julius
- 31:21Erving. Julius Erving, Doctor J is the
- 31:24man. I would say that pretty much
- 31:26revolutionized the game of dunking in the stylistic way
- 31:30that Jabba was mentioning before.
- 31:32He really was the one that brought it in in style during
- 31:35his time period. Really, of course to where
- 31:37Michael Jordan is considered one of the best dunkers of all time.
- 31:40I feel like Doctor J brought it to the forefront more than
- 31:43anybody else before, so I'm have to go with Doctor J.
- 31:47The Rock the Cradle dunk too. One of the best dunks I've ever
- 31:50seen. The Dukes more dunk contest.
- 31:53But you're right, he was obviously one of the greats.
- 31:56Speedy. Two weeks in a row.
- 31:57That or two shows in a row that Tavi has stolen something for
- 32:00some from someone else. Tic tac toe on Monday.
- 32:02Now this one I was going to say Doctor J.
- 32:03First of all. I'll go I'll do Dominique
- 32:05Wilkins for that one kind of a little after right after Doctor
- 32:07J not as good all time, but definitely one of the most
- 32:09electric ones at the at the small forward position, power
- 32:12forward a little bit. Those high hops, those big dunk
- 32:15contest ones even before MJ as well.
- 32:17So I'll go him. All right.
- 32:19And Nathan? Nothing you're going to have to
- 32:23unmute. But which dunker has the best
- 32:28leash? I got to go back off now.
- 32:32Nathan, who is one of the greatest dunkers of all.
- 32:35Time. You're on mute, Nathan.
- 32:36Let's go. Let's go.
- 32:39You're on mute. Driving back, you're on mute.
- 32:41I think he's lost. I think he's lost.
- 32:44I'm going to say he's wrong here.
- 32:46He goes. There he is.
- 32:47Listen, you got anybody for us? Hold on.
- 32:51I got all right. I'm going to go with, I'm going
- 32:55to go with Vince Carter. I think he because obviously
- 33:00with the dunk contest, but he won the one of the dunk contest.
- 33:04But in game games, he I think in my opinion, he was one of the
- 33:07best to watch Vince Carter because he can do anything.
- 33:11Yeah, remember in the Olympics when he put his nuts on that
- 33:14dude's forehead? 7 foot 1/7.
- 33:16The Nicks that the Nicks drafted that that guy, Yeah, yeah.
- 33:22They had to bring that up and now they're kidding.
- 33:26All right, Nutri. Nutri.
- 33:27Now we're. Going to go back to go back to
- 33:29Java, give us another one. I'm going to go one that I love
- 33:35Clyde the Glide loved his in game.
- 33:38Like wasn't the greatest, like I would say the greatest like
- 33:44dunker in the dunk contest. But in games he got, he got that
- 33:47name for a reason. And I was always just a huge fan
- 33:51of him and and what he could do. So he he's one that always that
- 33:54kind of stuck out to me as well. That's a great answer.
- 33:59My answer is someone who thankfully did not continue his
- 34:03rap career with the Foo Schnickens and Shaq.
- 34:06Yes, Shaquille O'Neal, Shaq Diesel.
- 34:09Yes, one of the guys who could not be stopped at any point in
- 34:12time during any games, just dunked on all over everybody.
- 34:16Another famous dunk that I have seen a million times is when he
- 34:19dunked on Oh my God, the big white center, the Knicks.
- 34:22And then he threw the ball. Why do you have to bring up the
- 34:25Knicks every single time you're bringing up Knicks, Yeah,
- 34:30Michael Jordan with Patrick Ewing, you had Vince Carter
- 34:33dunking over and and somebody from the Knicks farm system, you
- 34:37know, eating his nuts and now you're bringing up another
- 34:40Knicks that. Was the guy's name.
- 34:41He was a Knicks draft pick. And then I think he ended up
- 34:44like in like, like had like mental health issues because of
- 34:48the. Figures he played for the
- 34:49Knicks. That's why it was the highlight.
- 34:51Like that's the only highlight he ever had and it was him
- 34:53getting nuts put on his forehead.
- 34:55Thank you, literally thank you, Tommy.
- 34:58My. Pick is another Laker actually,
- 35:00and I was going to actually go with Kobe.
- 35:02Mr. Kobe Bryant, very, very prolific.
- 35:05I would say score all around. Of course he knew how to when,
- 35:08when to, when to not dunk, when to dunk really, Of course, very,
- 35:13I guess you could say smart in a way with his shot collect
- 35:17selections sometimes, but I would say someone like Kobe
- 35:20Bryant would be the second best dunker of all time.
- 35:25Speedy, once again I was going to take Shaq, so I'll go to
- 35:27Kenny Matumbo this time. Another one that I great
- 35:30longevity and yes, he was very authoritative at the rim.
- 35:33Obviously big size. Speedy, you were about to move
- 35:36on and that pic was horrible. They can be Matumbo.
- 35:40Come on, stop. You're automatically out.
- 35:44Looks like Nathan. 'S automatically out.
- 35:47Nathan. Of all the guys you can pick,
- 35:49they can be my tumble from a Chandra, I think.
- 35:53That's frozen. And Nathan, Nathan, you're kind
- 35:56of a little choppy. You're muted, but we'll let you.
- 36:00He's going through the Lincoln Tunnel.
- 36:02Go ahead. He's praying now it looks like.
- 36:06Can you hear me? Can you hear me?
- 36:07Yeah, we can hear you spin it out.
- 36:09Who do you got? I.
- 36:13Have one bed. What?
- 36:17Spud Webb? You're automatically eliminated.
- 36:22That's it. You're automatically eliminated.
- 36:24Ridiculous. What?
- 36:26Spud Webb? Out of all the dunkers in NBA
- 36:30history, you took Spud Webb. Come on, guys.
- 36:35In game dunkers. Spud Webb.
- 36:41And let's go for the last one, Jabba.
- 36:46Oh, my last one. I'm going to go.
- 36:50God, I love the shack. I have to go.
- 36:53The man with like 37 kids. I got to go.
- 36:56Shawn Kemp. I was.
- 36:59I take one for me, Tom. Yeah, I was going to go Shawn
- 37:01Kemp with that. Yeah, I just, he was, he was
- 37:06always fun to watch. He was great on NBA Jam.
- 37:09He had 3700 kids with 2700 baby Mamas and he still went out and
- 37:14just yammed on people all day. And and all night, apparently.
- 37:19Yeah, it didn't stop on the basketball court, it didn't seem
- 37:23like. Well, there is someone I don't
- 37:25think anyone said, but he does lead the NBA all time in points
- 37:30and he is still playing and his name is LeBron James.
- 37:33And this guy has made a career of being just a highlight reel
- 37:37of dunks forever. And I'm pretty sure you got to
- 37:40consider him one of the great all time dunkers in games.
- 37:43I mean, you never saw a dunk contest from.
- 37:45Him. No, because he's a dunking
- 37:47bitch. That's what he is.
- 37:48That's that's what I'm going to say.
- 37:50When he was like, when he was at his height, him flying through
- 37:53the air was like unlike anything you ever seen until Giannis.
- 37:57Giannis was able to do kind of the same thing, but I live with
- 38:00the passing ability with that super team that he had.
- 38:04The dunks were just spectacular. We all remember that.
- 38:06How you from Wade? It's just there's so many
- 38:09highlights. You got to say.
- 38:11LeBron is definitely one of them.
- 38:13Tommy. I'm going to go Clyde Drex.
- 38:17Look at your phone, Tommy. Look at your phone.
- 38:18You ready? Pick Clyde Drexler.
- 38:20Oh. You said Drexler.
- 38:22Ready. I'm.
- 38:24Going to go Mr. Blake Griffin then, because why not?
- 38:29Let's go Mr. Blake Griffin. Blake Griffin Honestly, in his
- 38:31prime, Blake Griffin was honestly dude knew how to attack
- 38:35the rim. Dude knew how to he had hops.
- 38:37He knew how to attack the rim. There was I can't remember there
- 38:40was that my favorite dunk that he had when he freaking just
- 38:42detonates over has his whole nuts in front of on full display
- 38:47on the dunk. So Blake Griffin.
- 38:49Against the Knicks as well. Could you stop this?
- 38:52Every single guy. Stop, stop, stop.
- 38:57This another white big man for the New York Knicks.
- 39:01For a while it's OK. Caucasian big man for the New
- 39:05York Knicks. Eventually you're going to
- 39:07mention David Lee too? Please.
- 39:09Stop. I love.
- 39:11I love David. Lee.
- 39:11So do I. I can remember a couple of dunks
- 39:14on him too. So yeah.
- 39:16He didn't jump that. High No, he didn't he's.
- 39:17A good player and I think that means we're up to Speedy to
- 39:21round it out. I thought I was out already.
- 39:23No, you're not. You still have one more.
- 39:25All right, That's what you got. I'll finish you better, make you
- 39:26better. Clean it up.
- 39:27I'll. Finish it off with Ben Wallace.
- 39:28Spud Webb. Yes.
- 39:30No. He said.
- 39:34No, I said I did. I did.
- 39:35To come back, I'll finish it off with Ben Wallace of that 04/04
- 39:40Pistons team, that championship team that really was.
- 39:43That was the duo inside with them and I think another
- 39:46ferocious one for probably the beginning of that era as well.
- 39:51Said she'd. Ben Wallace.
- 39:55All right. I guess so.
- 39:57I don't really. The two guys you picked, I don't
- 39:59really think you're dunkers. No, they're not.
- 40:00They're defensive guys. But one was a blocker and one
- 40:03was a rebounder. It's.
- 40:05Pretty much and one had the great Afro made him look 3
- 40:08inches taller. Errol Who's?
- 40:10Moving on, I got Tommy moving on and I want to pick you fish, but
- 40:16you're running the show. I liked your.
- 40:18Your three guys are by far the best.
- 40:21It's not Even so let. Me go because Jabba actually
- 40:23does have to to pop out for a little.
- 40:25Bit all right, so. And go take care of some.
- 40:27Business. All right, so let Jabba pop out
- 40:29for a little while. He'll join us again and I'll go
- 40:31with fish. So I have Mr. Tommy and the old
- 40:35fisherman. All right.
- 40:37As the two. Others, thank you for
- 40:39acknowledging that I. Your team was by far the best.
- 40:43By far. It's not even an.
- 40:45Argument. All right, so Round 2 is the
- 40:46joust Tommy, and in this round we have a new title for us to
- 40:51figure out and it's the best sixth men in NBA history.
- 40:56So these are guys that are thought of as six men.
- 40:59They probably had to at some point win a 6th Man of the Year
- 41:02award. So if you're going to
- 41:03frantically Google it right now, so just go over to those lists.
- 41:08But I already have my pick. Right now, the most obvious 1 is
- 41:12not what I'm going to start with.
- 41:13I'm going to start with one that's near and dear to my heart
- 41:16and that is former Nick Jamal Crawford.
- 41:20Jamal Crawford had the best crossover in the game for a very
- 41:24long time, Was instant offense off the bench.
- 41:28Had a great, you know, didn't really look to pass, but when he
- 41:30did, it was always a good pass and it looked really fancy.
- 41:33He was great at the small things.
- 41:36Wasn't a great defender, but he was passable.
- 41:38But I'll tell you what, when you needed offense off the bench,
- 41:41that guy was instant offense. And usually it's just like a
- 41:44catch and shoot guy. This guy could dice up everybody
- 41:47in the league, and that was just amazing.
- 41:50You know, it's amazing the Knicks didn't do more with him
- 41:53because of how bad they were managed.
- 41:55But I'll tell you, I'm starting with Jamal Crawford.
- 41:58I like dying. My, I don't know.
- 42:00I'm pretty sure this is going to be the one that you said is the
- 42:03more obvious one. I'm going with Mr. Manu
- 42:05Ginobili. Mr. Ginobili, what can I say
- 42:08about you? One of the best European players
- 42:11of all time, one of the best shooting guards of all time and
- 42:15if not the best six man of all time?
- 42:18Honestly, there's not really much to say.
- 42:20A four time NBA champion really came through really clutching
- 42:24the playoffs for his team's when he didn't most really had the
- 42:27best rotation with pop or of course with that dynamic of
- 42:31players, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and all those guys, really
- 42:34Ginobili. It doesn't get much better than
- 42:35Ginobili when you when you think of 6 men, that's really an
- 42:37iconic line that's really, I would say synonymous with.
- 42:42When it comes to see, look at. That.
- 42:45So I'm going to say yeah, Ginobili.
- 42:47All right, maybe so maybe because he was they made him a
- 42:51six man and he should have been a starter because it just worked
- 42:53better in their offensive scheme.
- 42:55I don't know. But I know for a fact that there
- 42:58was a the greatest team of all time, people said in a 1986
- 43:04Boston Celtics. And the guy who was the first
- 43:06guy off the bench for that team was Bill Walton.
- 43:09And Bill Walton, who was one of the absolute legends, had
- 43:14probably the greatest six man season anyone ever had in 1986
- 43:19and made them unstoppable. They took whenever they took
- 43:23Parrish off the court, he comes in there and now instead of
- 43:27being like bruising inside, they're just they're dicing
- 43:31everyone up. Sometimes they brought Mikhail
- 43:32off the bench. Mikhail was more of a starter
- 43:34than that. So I would wanted to go with
- 43:36Walton if you're going to pick one of those two guys.
- 43:38I decided one of those two guys should be the more obscure guy
- 43:42because Walton was an absolute stud hero for that team and is
- 43:47what put them over the. Top bagel Hole No.
- 43:49Wall, then. All right, Tommy.
- 43:52All right, I'm going. I farted.
- 43:53Warriors edition of Andre Iguodala so look Andre Iguodala
- 43:59honestly just very key pivotal piece in that Golden State
- 44:03Warriors team sure that might have been another one that you
- 44:06might say like he was a starter it.
- 44:08Just probably worked. In that rotation or whatnot, but
- 44:11the man was doing what he needed to do coming off of the bench.
- 44:13He did everything to win them those four titles, even helping,
- 44:17I'm going to say helping even the Miami Heat in the same exact
- 44:20role during the bubble, helping them bring them to that title.
- 44:23So Andre Iguodala themselves. Andre Iguodala is going to be my
- 44:28second for best six man. Interesting.
- 44:33All right, I'm going to go with this guy that when they were in
- 44:37the Olympics, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen took it personal
- 44:42that they were being compared to him.
- 44:45His name's Tony KU coach, and he ended up their teammate and Tony
- 44:48KU coach helped them go on that second three peat in quite a big
- 44:52way. He got toughened up by Jordan
- 44:54and Pippen. He played at a level that you
- 44:56don't see too many six men play at.
- 44:59He was unique player at the time being a taller European, you
- 45:03know, European player with the long range game.
- 45:07He was pretty iconic for a long time.
- 45:10This is before managing OBLE. Tony Coop, Coach, Last one,
- 45:14Tommy. There's one you guys are
- 45:20missing. Is it Kevin McHale?
- 45:22Is that what you were going to pick?
- 45:23No, because that that I'm going to have to either go with McHale
- 45:28or I'll go Lou Williams, actually.
- 45:36All right, there you go, Williams.
- 45:38There you go, Mr. Lou Williams, Yeah, Lou Williams has really
- 45:42been a pivotal 6 man on a lot of different teams and it's really.
- 45:45Where did he stand out the most? What team?
- 45:47Stand out the most. It was, of course, the Sixers.
- 45:50No Sixers. Raptors.
- 45:52Hawks. Hawks.
- 45:53No, he was on a bunch of different teams.
- 45:55Lakers. Hawks.
- 45:56What team did he stand out the most as the six man?
- 46:01Who are you going to pick? The Cavaliers.
- 46:03Do you remember him on the Cavaliers?
- 46:05He was on the Cavs. Yeah, he was.
- 46:07Lou Williams. Lou Williams was on the Cavs,
- 46:10yes. Are we, are we thinking about
- 46:12the same Lou Williams here? I'm pretty sure it's it's
- 46:15definitely Lou Williams. No, Lou Williams didn't play for
- 46:18the Cavs. Maybe it wasn't Lou Williams,
- 46:19but it was Williams. OK.
- 46:21But Lou Williams, yes, that's still the right.
- 46:22Answer. Maybe it wasn't him.
- 46:24That's still the correct answer though.
- 46:25He played a couple years before going to the Hawks as a six man.
- 46:28And a second the Clippers, maybe, maybe it was the
- 46:30Clippers. I I was gonna say the Clippers,
- 46:32Yeah, the Clippers. Clippers is where.
- 46:34That's what that's what I meant. The Clippers he got.
- 46:37Six Man of the Year twice. It was AC, it was the, IT was
- 46:40the C and. Once Clippers a Raptor.
- 46:43Yeah. So he's got a three time, six
- 46:46man of the year. Yeah, three times.
- 46:47That's if that's a. Bunch of runner UPS in third
- 46:50places. But yeah, really a pivotal piece
- 46:53in a lot of different teams. Honestly, he really knew how to
- 46:55find and to be a guy that's really bit of a journeyman like
- 46:58that and win in so many different teams.
- 47:00That's got to account for. You really know how to honestly
- 47:03be a really pivotal 6 man and really knew who's role coming
- 47:08off the bench you. Know, I was thinking MO Williams
- 47:10on the Cavaliers. That's what I was.
- 47:12That's what I was thinking. MO Williams, yes, MO Williams,
- 47:15he was great on the Cavaliers. That's what I meant.
- 47:18I banned that. Was that first LeBron team?
- 47:20Yes, that was yeah. MO Williams.
- 47:24But no, yeah, Lou Williams gonna have to be my #2 very versatile
- 47:28on many different teams. And Lou Williams.
- 47:30Yeah, all. Right, that was it.
- 47:32That was all three. So all right, up to you.
- 47:35All right, I'll go with Tommy. I'll face off with him in the
- 47:38finals. All right, off we go.
- 47:40Last round. So we have one more round.
- 47:44It's to me, Errol versus Tommy. The winner is the king.
- 47:47Next week Speedy and I will vote Nathan.
- 47:51Looks like he disappeared. He's playing with himself, he's
- 47:53playing with himself. Let's go.
- 47:55But he can. Get here so I'm not doing any
- 47:57freaking tag team crap. Take on the king.
- 48:01Let's go the. Most clutch players in NBA
- 48:06history. Most clutch, all right.
- 48:12So I got a bunch. Of Jalen Brunson in.
- 48:15The biggest moments, All right, I don't know.
- 48:19Jalen Bruce is pretty damn flush.
- 48:20All right, let's start off with with Tommy.
- 48:24Actually, the king decides of who goes.
- 48:26First, let him go. OK, well, I'm going to have to
- 48:29just easily, I'm going to have to, if I'm going up against the
- 48:31king, I got to pick one of the greatest players or the greatest
- 48:33player of all time, Michael Jordan.
- 48:35Look. You can't go with Michael.
- 48:37Jordan Why not? That's the most.
- 48:38Can't go with Michael. Jordan OK, fine.
- 48:40You know what? We'll go with Larry Bird.
- 48:42I'll go with Larry Bird. All right, go Larry Bird.
- 48:44Why? Larry Bird is one of the best
- 48:47players of all time and especially during the time
- 48:49period that he played. Look, Larry Bird, really.
- 48:53I love watching the trash talking put.
- 48:54The videos of the Larry Bird, the things he used to say to
- 48:57certain players, the things that he knew he had.
- 48:59He carried himself at a certain standard every single day and he
- 49:03always backed it up with every single shot.
- 49:05Every competition was like his last.
- 49:07Every 3 point contest, every. I'm not sure if he did.
- 49:09I don't think it was a dunk contest.
- 49:11Dude. Every game he brought his all
- 49:13and Larry Bird is easily going to be one of the most clicked
- 49:16player of all time. All right, Errol.
- 49:19You know who I'm going with, Mr. Black Mamba?
- 49:23Kobe Bryant was one of the most clutch players of all time.
- 49:27Just think about what Kobe Bryant did with the Lakers.
- 49:30Shaquille O'Neal, who was hitting the clutch, the clutch
- 49:32shots, it was Kobe Bryant. Shaquille O'Neal was the best
- 49:35player, but when he needed to go to the the best player or the
- 49:38the player that's going to hit the clutch shot, they went to
- 49:40Kobe Bryant. When obviously Shaquille O'Neal
- 49:43left, he went to Miami. They needed that clutch player
- 49:46again when they brought in, you know, Casal and and Metta World
- 49:49Peace, who were they going with to the ball, who they were going
- 49:53the ball with? They were going with Kobe
- 49:55Bryant, arguably one of the more underrated clutch players
- 49:58because there were so many greats, Michael Jordan being one
- 50:01of them, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson.
- 50:03But this guy was so clutch and probably the most clutch player
- 50:07in Laker history. If you watch what he did in the
- 50:10time that he did it. Remember, he won five titles and
- 50:13he was a part of two of them. And when he was, he was the guy
- 50:17for two of them. And when he had to beat the
- 50:19Celtics, who had to hit those clutch shots, who had to make
- 50:22those shots in game five and game four, it was Kobe Bryant.
- 50:26Kobe Bryant all. Right back to Tommy.
- 50:30Most clutch player I'm going to go with.
- 50:32I'm going to do it. Mr. Robert Horry.
- 50:35Robert Horry, 7 times champion amongst we got here the Rockets,
- 50:41the Lakers, the Spurs. Robert Hori knew how to hit
- 50:44those game-winning shots, knew how to help get his team and
- 50:47whether it was a regular season game, whether it was a pivotal
- 50:50regular season game, whether it was a pivotal tipping scale in a
- 50:53in a postseason game that triple, that 3P with the Lakers,
- 50:58Robert Hori is easily. Said Robert Hori about a million
- 51:02times right there. Look, except his name is.
- 51:05Ori, not Hori. Is that really?
- 51:08Is that really? Pronounced Ori.
- 51:09He likes the screw it, Hori's. Mr. Rob Really young.
- 51:14Big time Rob, because. We all wanted to say Horry,
- 51:18Except, you know, you can't do. That look, what about what about
- 51:21if I call him big shot Rob? I'm a I'm a just big shot Rob.
- 51:27But look, big shot Rob easily deserving of one of the most
- 51:29clutch players of all times. Those seven rings, of course,
- 51:32speak for itself. So Mr. Mr. big shot Rob.
- 51:35All right, Errol. Now the Laker Magic Johnson.
- 51:40I mentioned him, career double, double in the playoffs as a
- 51:44rookie. They needed a guy to take over
- 51:46when Kareem Abdul Jabbar got hurt and who did they go to?
- 51:50They went to Magic Johnson, a rookie, took over in the finals.
- 51:54He played, he defended multiple positions, multiple positions
- 51:57from 5:00 to 4:00 to 3:00 to 2:00 to 1.
- 52:00He did everything. And when they needed a guy to
- 52:02take over the game, it was Magic Johnson.
- 52:04When they played those Celtic teams, who do they need to take
- 52:07over those games? It was no other than Magic
- 52:10Johnson, and he was compared to Larry Bird for all the times
- 52:13from Michigan State to, obviously, Indiana, everybody
- 52:16knows why Magic Johnson was one of the most clutch players of
- 52:20all time. I'm going Magic.
- 52:22Sweet Magic, as I called them. All right, back to Tommy.
- 52:27All right, Errol, Errol is not going to like this pic
- 52:30whatsoever. Steph Curry, you're going to.
- 52:31Go Mr. Steph Curry. Mr. Chef Curry himself.
- 52:35Mr. Steph is the best shooter of all time.
- 52:39Let's not ever get it twisted. Steph Curry does not help lead
- 52:42his team to those 3P not three people like those 3 championship
- 52:46appearances. Steph Curry does not help his
- 52:48team get those four even though he even though a big thing of
- 52:52course going toward 2022 was the MVP and he of course didn't get
- 52:56his MVP until he got his MVP in 2022.
- 53:00Steph Curry is the man who revolutionized the game of three
- 53:03pointers. And I know it might be for the
- 53:05worst, but Steph Curry is easily one of the best, is one of the
- 53:10clutch players of all time. I wouldn't have picked Steph
- 53:13Curry from all the guys you could have picked.
- 53:15And Steph Curry wasn't even the best player on those
- 53:17championship teams. Kevin Durant was.
- 53:19Klay Thompson was just as clutch as he was.
- 53:23He wasn't as clutch as any of those guys and he wasn't, you
- 53:27know, he wasn't. He said Kevin Durant was, of
- 53:29course, because he even then, he.
- 53:31I would go Kevin Durant over Steph Curry, OK, on those
- 53:35championship teams, those two championships, who was the MVP
- 53:38of the team? Who are they going to?
- 53:39Who's the go to guy? When they needed to get a big
- 53:42time shot? It was Kevin Durant.
- 53:43I would have never went with Steph Curry.
- 53:45You could have went Reggie Miller or you could have went
- 53:47with this guy who I'm going to mention I.
- 53:49Didn't want to do Reggie Miller, but.
- 53:50I I said he was very cool. I'm going Paul Pierce, the
- 53:53truth, baby. Paul Pierce was one of the most
- 53:57clutch, clutch players with Kevin Garnett and Rondo and all
- 54:01those players, all the great players, Ray Allen and Ray Allen
- 54:04was very clutch. They went to no other than Paul
- 54:07Pierce in Game 7. If you remember when they needed
- 54:10a big time points, who did they go to against LeBron James?
- 54:15They needed 41 points from the one and only.
- 54:18Yes, Paul Pierce. Paul Pierce was one of the most
- 54:21underrated shooters of all time, one of the more underrated
- 54:24shooters in the playoffs of all time.
- 54:26And when you you ask Kevin Garnett, you ask Rondo, you ask
- 54:30anybody on their podcast who was the most clutch player, who was
- 54:33the player who's the go to player on those Celtic teams
- 54:36when they were as good as any team in the NBA?
- 54:39It was Paul Pierce, the truth, one of the greatest underrated
- 54:43playoff players of all time. I'm going Paul Pierce, baby.
- 54:48All right, Speedy, we're going to vote on it.
- 54:51If we both agree, then there's nothing to do.
- 54:53But if it's a split, we're going to ask you guys to pick one.
- 54:57We're going to we're going to I'm going to name one player,
- 55:01one more player, and I want you guys to argue about it, all
- 55:03right? But let's say I'm going to start
- 55:05off, I'm going with Errol. I generally think of these guys,
- 55:09they kind of have to be more impactful players than a guy
- 55:12like Big Shot. Rob, Who's your first one again,
- 55:15Tommy? Isolated birdie.
- 55:18Larry Bird Larry Bird, obviously one of the greatest players of
- 55:23all time. I just keep, you know,
- 55:25remembering the highlight of a shot not going in for Larry Bird
- 55:28more than you know, some of the other highlights of his famously
- 55:32because they always would go in, but that's in the clutch when it
- 55:35didn't. So, you know, I, I, I do think
- 55:38that Errol went with guys that it's hard to argue with what
- 55:42Magic Johnson did. That rookie season is legendary.
- 55:45It's just it's one of the greatest NBA stories of all
- 55:47time. Paul Pierce.
- 55:48I grew up watching him go after, I mean, him and LeBron went back
- 55:52and forth in those series forever and it was Paul Pierce.
- 55:55So I'm going with that. Yeah, I'm going with that all as
- 55:58well. I think mentioning especially
- 55:59the Magic Johnson rookie season Kobe as well against that
- 56:02Celtics team was supposed to be this future dynasty that was
- 56:05supposed to happen was a good reference to that.
- 56:07And the only I wasn't crazy with the Steph Curry one either.
- 56:09For Tommy, as good as like the shooting prowess is, he's the
- 56:13greatest shooter ever. A lot of those big shots like
- 56:15buzzer beater wiser in the regular season, not as much in
- 56:17the playoffs. You're looking at judging like
- 56:19clutch statue looking at judging those types of numbers.
- 56:22Actually, Damian Lillard is probably the better modern
- 56:24example for a point guard. But he never won, and that's why
- 56:26he. Never won but he was on some
- 56:27really bad teams. When you look at Damian Lillard,
- 56:29he is amongst the top 10. Greatest.
- 56:33The guy I would have had you debate if it was a tie and Errol
- 56:36is going to stay the king another week was going to be
- 56:38Reggie Miller. I had him too, if he.
- 56:41Deserves to be up there or not because he terrorized me my
- 56:44entire childhood. You know why I didn't pick
- 56:46Reggie? You know why I didn't pick
- 56:47Reggie? Because he never won.
- 56:49Because he didn't win. He never won.
- 56:50I'm going. I went with guys that have won
- 56:52and we're a big part of the reason Paul Pierce was the best
- 56:56player on that Kevin Garnett, Rondo and Ray Allen team go ask
- 57:01anybody when they won that title, when they beat the Lakers
- 57:04in the finals, it was absolutely Paul Pierce that took over those
- 57:08games. They needed a big shot.
- 57:10They went to big shot Paul, the truth, everybody knows that as
- 57:14far as Kevin, Kobe Bryant, Kobe Bryant was one of the most
- 57:16clutch shooters I've ever seen in the playoffs.
- 57:19The fadeaway 3 point shots that he made, He was unbelievable.
- 57:23I, I couldn't stand Kobe as a player.
- 57:25I, I can't take away his greatness.
- 57:27And then Magic Johnson, I mean, and you could have went so many
- 57:30different avenues. I like Larry Bird, but clutch.
- 57:34There were a lot of clutch players on those teams.
- 57:36Robert Parish was pretty clutch on that team.
- 57:38Danny Age was clutch on those teams.
- 57:40Also, Kevin McHale was very clutch on those championship
- 57:43teams. They had a lot of clutch players
- 57:45on those teams. Larry Bird was the best player
- 57:46on that team. But I just would.
- 57:49Have been a good six man guide too.
- 57:51Yeah, 100%. You know, there's another player
- 57:55that a lot of people probably don't.
- 57:56Dirk Nowinski. He was another one.
- 57:58I was looking at Dirk Nowinski when they went on that run.
- 58:00I he made some of the most ridiculous fadeaway jumpers,
- 58:05especially against Miami and go look at their path all the way
- 58:08to the finals. Look who they beat to go all the
- 58:11way to the finals and why did they beat all those great teams?
- 58:14Dirk Nowinski. I mean, I like Barrera and I
- 58:17love to mess around with people how great Barrera had of a
- 58:20playoff run. But everybody knows Dirk
- 58:23Nowinski had a big part of why why they won that championship.
- 58:27There's no argument to that. That was one of the greatest
- 58:29runs I've ever seen a player have.
- 58:30So Dirk Nowinski, if you pick Dirk Nowinski, I'd argue some of
- 58:34the arguments and Kawhi Leonard too, another guy so I loved
- 58:37Kawhi too. As we all know the claw, as I
- 58:41called him so and still call him he's got these big ass hands for
- 58:45a guy that 6 foot 76 foot 8 his his hands are bigger than
- 58:50Shaquille O'neal's go look at his it's ridiculous the.
- 58:53Video of them pulling it. Together, yeah, his claws are
- 58:57humongous. So that's why he's such a great
- 59:00defensive player and and, and such a clutch shooter in so many
- 59:04of those San Antonio games and and even the championship they
- 59:07beat Miami with. I mean, he was his clutches.
- 59:09And how about Toronto when they won the title?
- 59:11He was so clutch. 76ers, remember that shot, even though
- 59:14everybody says it was lucky who shot that.
- 59:16That was the one and only Kawhi Leonard.
- 59:18So I could have went anyway, but I went to the three guys that
- 59:22you didn't pick that absolutely deserves more respect than a lot
- 59:26of people, you know, remember them to be.
- 59:29So Magic Johnson. Was Kawhi even a lot?
- 59:31Lottery pick? No, he was middle first round
- 59:34San Diego State 16th, I remember.
- 59:37When San Diego State team, I thought was going to win it all
- 59:39that year, yeah. He was the 16th I.
- 59:40Remember him being like good in college and then like he fell in
- 59:43the draft and it was, I was like, I don't know why he fell
- 59:47in the draft. And of course he goes to the
- 59:48Spurs and all of a sudden he's one of the best players in the
- 59:50world, right? He kind of felt.
- 59:51Remember, he got drafted. By him and Giannis were like
- 59:53drafted in the same area of the years they were drafted and and
- 59:58they said that if Giannis wasn't drafted in a top, I think 16, he
- 1:00:02would have went back to Greece and maybe there would have never
- 1:00:04been a Giannis. So it's a pretty crazy story,
- 1:00:08but there were a lot of great clutch players, but the one the
- 1:00:12the guys that you were picking, I definitely wouldn't have went
- 1:00:16Steph. I definitely Larry Bird.
- 1:00:18You can argue and who is the middle guy that you picked
- 1:00:20Robert Horry. I would have never picked Robert
- 1:00:22Horry because I. Mean like, he hit a couple of
- 1:00:25big shots, but to call him a clutch player, that's a little
- 1:00:27different. He hit a couple of big shots.
- 1:00:31I said Larry, if you want to argue Larry Bird, you can put
- 1:00:33him there, but the other two guys I definitely want and I'm
- 1:00:35not taking shots at Seth Curry. A great, one of the best players
- 1:00:38on the team. And I think you're right, Errol,
- 1:00:40when they won the couple of those championships, he wasn't
- 1:00:43because Kevin Durant was at the peak of his power still. 100%

- 1:02:16I don't want to see them go to a Game 7 and I watch out.
- 1:02:20Pacers, OK, watch them out anyways, and the Nuggets 3/3 as
- 1:02:25we expected, it's going 7, so we'll see what happens over the
