• 0:21
Speaker 1: goes into this kind of operation is more complicated than
• 0:24
Speaker 1: there've been locked operation.

• 0:55
Speaker 3: the direction of this country is being decided right now

Speaker 3: It's the forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
• 2:22
  Speaker 2: Story number one.
• 2:23
Speaker 3: We start with the good news. It is incredible. US
• 2:29
Speaker 3: officials have confirmed we got them back. It was a
• 2:34
Speaker 3: daring rescue of two US pilots in Iran. This is
• 2:38
Speaker 3: one of those moments that reminds the world exactly what
• 2:41
Speaker 3: the United States military is also capable of, and against
• 2:46
Speaker 3: overwhelming odds, deep inside in enemy territory, with Iranian forces
• 2:51
Speaker 3: actively hunting them, America went in and brought our men home. Now,
• 2:57
Speaker 3: this began when a US F five ffteen Strike Eagle
• 3:01
Speaker 3: was shot down over Iran during the active combat operations.
• 3:05
Speaker 3: Both of the crew members ejected under fire. They landed
• 3:09
Speaker 3: separately in hostile territory. Iranian forces, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard,
• 3:14
Speaker 3: immediately launched a massive man hunt. Iran even put a
• 3:19
Speaker 3: bounty on the pilot's heads. At that moment, the clock
• 3:22
Speaker 3: was ticking. This was no ordinary rescue. It was a
• 3:26
Speaker 3: race against time, and US special forces were now up
• 3:30
Speaker 3: against the entire Iranian military. Whoever got them first would
• 3:36
Speaker 3: control the outcome, and both sides knew it. We'll start
• 3:40
Speaker 3: with what has been described as Phase one. The first
• 3:43
Speaker 3: pilot had a rapid recovery. It was all done under fire.
• 3:48
Speaker 3: There was emergency locator beacons that went off real time
• 3:52
Speaker 3: intelligence surveillance reconnaissance was overhead. Coordinated air and ground response
• 3:57
Speaker 3: took place, and within hours, as helicopters moved in, the
• 4:02
Speaker 3: rescue aircraft took small arms fire on the approach and
• 4:05
Speaker 3: crew members were wounded, but they did not abort the mission,
• 4:10
Speaker 3: and despite the danger, the pilot was successfully recovered. Roughly
• 4:14
Speaker 3: seven hours after the ejection seat handle was pulled. The
• 4:19
Speaker 3: team got him out alive and into medical care. That
• 4:22
Speaker 3: alone would have been headline news, but the real test
• 4:26
Speaker 3: was unfortunately still ahead. That is when phase two began
• 4:31
Speaker 3: the second airman, and it was a forty eight hour
• 4:34
Speaker 3: man hunt. The second crew member, a weapons systems officer
• 4:39
Speaker 3: known as a WSO, disappeared into the rugged mountains, and
• 4:44
Speaker 3: this is where the mission turned into something well truly extraordinary.
• 4:48
Speaker 3: It was survival for him behind the enemy lines. Between
• 4:53
Speaker 3: thirty six to forty eight hours, this American airmen hid
• 4:56
Speaker 3: in the mountain terrain, evaded Iranian patrols, survived with minimal equipment,
• 5:02
Speaker 3: reportedly just a side arm. Meanwhile, Iranian forces were closing in.
• 5:08
Speaker 3: Local militias and even tribal groups had joined the hunt
• 5:11
Speaker 3: for the American pilot, with a bounty on his head,
• 5:16
Speaker 3: and that is when things got really intense. The US
• 5:20
Speaker 3: response was full scale. It was a rescue operation the
• 5:24
Speaker 3: United States launched. Now what we now understand is one
• 5:27
Speaker 3: of the most complex rescue missions in modern military history.
• 5:32
Speaker 3: Assets that were deployed included Seal Team six, Yes you
• 5:36
Speaker 3: heard that right, Seal Team six, as well as hundreds
• 5:40
Speaker 3: of Special Operations forces. Dozens of aircraft and drones were used.
• 5:46
Speaker 3: An MQ nine Reaper drone providing overwatch as well as
• 5:50
Speaker 3: strikes when the enemy was getting close, the MC one
• 5:54
Speaker 3: thirty and Special Operations aircraft, as well as helicopter Assault Team.
• 6:00
Speaker 3: We also know that the CIA started a deception campaign,
• 6:04
Speaker 3: apparently to by time as well as to confuse Iran.
• 6:08
Speaker 3: The CIA spread false intelligence that the pilot had already
• 6:12
Speaker 3: been rescued. Iranian forces were redirected to the wrong locations.
• 6:17
Speaker 3: This deception likely saved the pilot's life, were now being
• 6:22
Speaker 3: told Now, then there was the combat conditions that happened
• 6:26
Speaker 3: on the ground. As US forces closed in, Iranian convoys
• 6:31
Speaker 3: moved towards the area, US aircraft bombed approaching forces to
• 6:36
Speaker 3: keep them away. Drones also conducted precision strikes on hostile units,
• 6:42
Speaker 3: and that wasn't just a rescue. It was literally a
• 6:45
Speaker 3: live combat extraction inside of Iran. That extraction was filled
• 6:50
Speaker 3: with chaos and pure courage. When US forces reached the airmen,
• 6:55
Speaker 3: he was found injured but alive. Extraction aircraft moved into position,
• 7:00
Speaker 3: being told then there was another problem. Aircraft malfunctioned on
• 7:05
Speaker 3: the ground. At least one had to be destroyed to
• 7:08
Speaker 3: prevent capture. Even with that setback, replacement aircraft were brought in.
• 7:13
Speaker 3: US forces held the perimeter under pressure, and then they
• 7:17
Speaker 3: got him out. Now the mission was complete. Both men
• 7:21
Speaker 3: were recovered. The first pilot rescued within hours, the second
• 7:25
Speaker 3: airmen rescued after nearly two days behind enemy lines. Both
• 7:30
Speaker 3: were evacuated safely. President Donald Trump confirmed the moment with
• 7:34
Speaker 3: a simple message, we got him. He later called it
• 7:38
Speaker 3: one of the most daring operations in US history. Now
• 7:42
Speaker 3: what made this historic operation reality? It wasn't just a rescue.
• 7:47
Speaker 3: This was a deep penetration mission inside hostile Iran. It
• 7:52
Speaker 3: was a race against enemy forces and time, a joint
• 7:56
Speaker 3: operation involving military and intelligent asset, A demonstration of not
• 8:02
Speaker 3: only our air dominance, but our special forces operations and
• 8:05
Speaker 3: their precision as well. As intelligence warfare, with the CIA
• 8:10
Speaker 3: getting involved, and most importantly, America kept its promise we
• 8:15
Speaker 3: do not leave our people behind. Now, this is what
• 8:18
Speaker 3: American strength looks like. When a pilot goes down. Under
• 8:23
Speaker 3: President Trump's leadership, we don't hesitate, we don't negotiate for
• 8:27
Speaker 3: their lives. We don't leave them behind. We sent everything
• 8:31
Speaker 3: we've got through mountains, through enemy fire, and through chaos.
• 8:37
Speaker 3: And this weekend the United States proved it yet again,
• 8:40
Speaker 3: against all the odds. We went deep into Iran, and
• 8:44
Speaker 3: we brought our men home. As the President described it,
• 8:49
Speaker 3: mission accomplished, Donald Trump saying later, yes, our US airmen
• 8:55
Speaker 3: are safe and sound after this rescue operation. And it
• 8:59
Speaker 3: also explained something else, That is, when you have a
• 9:03
Speaker 3: president that is willing to lead, others are willing to
• 9:06
Speaker 3: do incredible things to make sure that no one is
• 9:12
Speaker 3: ever left behind. God bless our men and women in uniform.
• 9:16
Speaker 3: What an amazing easter present to everyone, and a reminder,
• 9:21
Speaker 3: by the way, that American can do amazing things when
• 9:24
Speaker 3: they're allowed to do those amazing things. We also know
• 9:30
Speaker 3: that the President of United States of America apparently made
• 9:33
Speaker 3: contact with the pilots, thanking them for their bravery talking
• 9:38
Speaker 3: to the families as well, thanking them for their services
• 9:41
Speaker 3: country and is a clear reminder that we should always
• 9:45
Speaker 3: be proud and extremely thankful for all of our men
• 9:50
Speaker 3: and our women who serve this country and put their
• 9:53
Speaker 3: lives on the line for all of us. God bless
• 9:57
Speaker 3: every single person that served this country past and present.
• 10:01
Speaker 3: Thank you that we have a present that's willing to
• 10:03
Speaker 3: fight to protect us, but is also willing to protect
• 10:07
Speaker 3: the men and women who are willing to protect us.
• 10:10
Speaker 3: Imagine if you're serving in our military and you now
• 10:14
Speaker 3: know without a shadow of a doubt that this president
• 10:17
Speaker 3: will move heaven and earth to come get you and
• 10:20
Speaker 3: bring every resource and asset we have to protect you.
• 10:25
Speaker 3: Is that going to make you want to serve your country?
• 10:27
