- 0:07[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome to the Dog's Podcast with your hosts, Lake Renaker, Justin Charles, and Josh All.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, what's up, Browns fans?
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back to another episode of The Dog's podcast, Josh, all your host on the Tuesday.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like always, just a couple days removed from yet another downright humiliating defeat for the Cleveland Browns this time in Chicago.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: The Bears just absolutely whipped on us 31, 2, 3.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: Talk for a while, I was going to be an absolute shutout.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: And honestly, we should have had 10 points.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: But Jerry Judy said, now I don't think so.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: Let's turn this touchdown.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: into an interception.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: So, got voicemails today a couple of those got a message from the website.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to get to and then I've got the main thing I want to do today because it would be very easy to just go down the negative route and don't get me wrong.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: We got negative stuff to talk about.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't want to just harp on the negativity and the pessimism and the fire, but at this point guys, I think we all agree and we all know the Browns got a clean house.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's an argument anymore.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really think it's a debate.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's not even a discussion.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's just a matter of how many days until black Monday.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: And the answer is 20, that's right, three weeks from yesterday, we'll be black Monday.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be the day that Kevin Safanski, this coach you staff gets fired.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully a front office can go with them.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: And the countdown to black Monday, a brown tradition, like no other.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: But I want to talk about some of the positive things because as dim and gloom and just bad as this team is and how difficult they are to watch them and feel there are several I'm not talking just one or two there are several things to be watching for as a Browns fan over these last three games very important things in my opinion now it's not important as far as the team goes the team's not winning anything we're not winning another game it's another three and 14 season two of those suckers in a row
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: But there are some individual performances and at this point in the season has a Browns fan when your team is completely eliminated from anything relevant, other than buying for draft capital, which I'll talk about that too here on this episode.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: You have got to look at some of the individual things that you can hang your hat on.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: And for me personally, just as a Browns fan, I like to watch things that I think are going to be historical for players or whatever, and then be able to look back years down the road and say, hey, I remember when.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: Miles Garrett broke this single season NFL sack record.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: That kind of stuff.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll talk about what those things are that we need to be looking for over these last three games.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: If you guys want to join the dog pack become part of our dog pack community go to join the dogs.com become an efficient dog pack member on the Patreon page.

- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: not that big of a deal, but it is a big deal for us.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: It really helps out the show.

- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's a great place to be great conversations 24, 7 plus you get to be part of the dog pack discord episodes every Thursday right now.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: We're doing those at 5pm on Thursdays to preview the upcoming game on next week's going to be a different schedule because of the holiday and all that kind of stuff.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: But then moving into the off season, which thank goodness is almost here.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: We will be doing dog pack discord live episodes every week to talk about the draft to talk about prospects, free agency, the head coaching search, probably hopefully the GM search, all that kind of stuff, and you just don't want to miss it.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're interested, you want to be a part of that join the dogs.com.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: So apologies if you can hear my baby outside the door.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: We have a snow day today, kids are home.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's just one of those days in the household here, but I want to dive into the things at the top of this episode that we should be looking for in these last three games, because I know a lot of people I heard, I've talked to, just turned that Chicago Bears game off early.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like, didn't even probably finish the first half.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: That kind of stuff, and I don't blame you.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't blame you.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: We said on Sunday, me, Blake,
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: Probably wouldn't watch that whole game.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: Had we not had the podcast to do afterward because what are we really, what are we really watching here?
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: I was questioning in the whole time like this is not an NFL team.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: This is not, they're not prepared.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I guess before I go into the positive things, I want to look for here.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: I want to talk about that because I've seen people questioning like special teams, coaching, above-of-entrums, kind of stuff.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: But the coaching staff is a whole
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: What are we doing all we can practice?
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: What are we doing in the building?
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: Are we watching film?
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: are we practicing hard?
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: Are we practicing?
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like I know the Browns put out a photo gallery every week of practice and there's guys on the field but are we actually practicing?
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's you know it's not one of those things where it's like a conspiracy.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's just I think it's a fair thing for a Browns fan to question like what are you guys even doing during the week because when it comes to Sunday and I turn on my TV to watch the team that I root for.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I see you go out there and you look completely unprepared, completely lost, miscommunications across the board, weekend, week out, penalties, guys don't know where to line up, guys don't know what routes to run, guys don't know what coverage they're in, guys are missing tackles, what do we do in a week, spin 15 weeks of this,
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the coaches have had this team for this season under their, you know, tutelage, since back in fricking May, and this is what we're dealing with week 15 in the NFL with the Browns.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, it's completely unacceptable.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: I've harped on it all year, and it's why in 20 days, they are all going to be gone.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: The positive things, though, I want to talk about, we'll start off with the big one.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, it's Miles Garrett.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm watching every week, because I don't want to miss the moment, live, that Miles Garrett
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: records the NFL single season all-time sack record.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I want to see.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's at 21 and a half after they jipped him out of the half of sack against the bears on Sunday.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: So really, he should be at 22.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: He's at 21 and a half, one and a half sacks away from holding the record all to himself.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: So if he gets another full sack on Sunday, that would tie the record at 22 and a
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the question is, one, will Miles Garrett be able to get that sack in a half or hopefully like two full sacks Sunday at home and achieve that record in front of the Brown's home crowd?
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: That would be awesome.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: That would give everybody just enough hope, excitement, something to root for in a game that honestly will do the preview show on Thursday, like I said, but
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: I already got my score prediction.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's 41 to 6.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're getting blown out again at home.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: I already said James Cook, 100 yards and two touchdowns, minimum, minimum against this defense.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: But that would be exciting.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see where Miles Garrett ends up because, you know, if he can start, if he can, he's got three games left.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: Three games left.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: You got the bills.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: You got the Steelers.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: And then you've got the bangles.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see how many sacks he can get because, as a Browns fan, I'm being completely selfish here.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: I want the single-season sack record to be held by a Cleveland Browns player for as long as possible.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: If he gets to 25 sacks, which is his record or his goal that he writes on his wristband every week, or if he gets to 26 or 27, the more sacks he gets, the further out of reach, he puts that record for the next guy, the next up and coming superstar, edge rusher.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: it's going to be very difficult for anyone else in their career to take that record from him and from us.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I'm being selfish with all of these things.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: The next thing I'm looking for.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: Carson Swesinger.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: I miss reported on the show last week about him being close to being the single season tackle leader for the Cleveland Browns all time.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: The stats that were being given to me by my AI program and everything.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: They were given me the total of solo tackles for Browns in franchise history, not total tackles, which is what I was talking about.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: So, at the moment, and I got the numbers right now, so you guys can trust what I'm saying this time, I promise.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: Carson Swesinger had 14 tackles against the bears on Sunday.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't feel like it.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: The way the defense played as a whole, it felt like we
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: but no Carson Swesinger actually logged 14 total tackles against the bears on Sunday that put him up to 133 combined total tackles on the season now the record for most tackles in a season by a Browns player ever.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: is Dequel Jackson, 2012, had 158 tackles.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll just do some simple math.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: My mental was in good.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: I got a calculator, Carson Wentz, or Carson Wentz.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: Well, sorry, Carson's just a Westernger, a much better player, is just 25 tackles away.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: 26, I guess, from actually holding that single season record, all by his loans.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: So he's 25 tackles away from tying it.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: 26 tackles away from holding it all by himself.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: Carson Swesinger has had six straight games with ten or more tackles.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: The dude is a monster out there.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: He's he is definitely the defensive rookie of the year and Miles Gayer is definitely the defense of player of the year.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: We had both of those guys on the same defense this year and won three freaking games.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: Gosh, we're going to look back on this season and say how.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: Carson's was your back to back to our boy back to our what do they call him in the discord the great white walk on because that's what he was out there UCLA was a walk on had to earn his way on to the team had to earn his scholarship had earned his playing time And he went right into being the 33rd of her all-pick in the NFL and leading the entire rookie class in tackles and all this stuff he is incredible I think he gets it
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm watching for this record, but I think he gets it.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: 25 tackles away.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: He's got three games to do it, and he's averaging, I believe, the numbers like 9.1 tackles a game.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: So even if you do that 9.1 tackles a game right there, that's what, 27 over 27 tackles.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to get this record.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: I believe.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: Unless he gets hurt, or something crazy happens to the guy, just ten tackles again, Carson Swesenter.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: So, those are the two defensive things I'm looking for, Miles Garrett to get that single season sack record, Carson Swesinger to get the single season all-time tackles record for Brown's franchise history.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I want to switch over to the offensive side of the ball, because there's some really cool things over here I'm watching for, so it's not just pay attention to the defensive drives and then forget about offense because they suck.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: Harold Fan and Jr.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: This guy, I've talked about him extensively on this show ever since we drafted.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, before the draft, because I really wanted the Browns to draft this kid.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: I just, you know, sometimes you just see a player, you watch a player, you do the deep dive on the analytics and the stats and the metrics.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: And you say the dude is a dog.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: This dude can play football.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: Harold Fan and Jr. Can play football.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: In his rookie year, right now, Mr. Just turned 21 years old only playing his second year ever as a tight end.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: Take that into consideration here.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: Harold Fan and Junior has a rookie, 66 receptions on the season.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: He is now tied.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: Number one.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: for the most receptions by a rookie in Cleveland Brown's history.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: He is tied with, is it Kevin Mac?
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: Oh no, I'm sorry, Kevin Johnson.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: Kevin Mac is on the running back side, which I'm gonna talk about in a second.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: Kevin Johnson, he is now tied for the most receptions by a rookie in Cleveland Brown's history with Kevin Johnson, 66 total receptions.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: The difference here, which is really interesting, looking at these numbers.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: Kevin Johnson, back in 1999, set this record on 137 targets.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: He caught 66 passes, okay?
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: Harold Fan and Jr. 99 targets.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: 99 targets like what?
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: Almost 50 targets fewer.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: then the guy he's tied with and Harold Finn has, you know, the top spot and reception.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: So just one catch.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard as one catch on Sunday against the bills and Harold fan and junior is your new all-time rookie receptions leader in Cleveland Brown's history.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty cool man.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's that's fun.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's exciting.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's a dog.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like we are going to have
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: So many funnier, so many funstees, and so many fun games, and plays, and memories watching Harold fan a junior play for this team.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited about him.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: So excited.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: He led all of Kyle said this, he led all of college football last year in receptions, receiving yards, and that was as a first year tight end, a 20 year old, maybe 19 slash 20 year old, playing for Boeing Green.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: playing for Bullying Green.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: He had, I forget it.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: 50, 60% of his team's yardish total.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: He was, this guy's insane.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: And the other offensive guy that I want to talk about positively, and I did a deep dive on this today because I really, I needed to, because I was, I was getting a lot of questions on social media and some people being kind of, you know, sarcastic about it.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: But at the same time, I think a lot of the,
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: the concerns and questions and things that i've been getting about quenchon jutkins are valid because you watch the games you see the guy looking a lot like drum fort as far as man's first down and now the sudden you know we handoff the jutkins boom it's second and ten well there we go we could just do that with drum fort it's all we did last year so quenchon jutkins three point six yards a carry right now over his rookie season terrible man like i looked we looked it up that is the second
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: worst yards per carry by a browns running back, not just a rookie by a browns running back since 2012.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: So in the last what 13 years 13 seasons, it is the second lowest he's actually tied with Trent Richardson, that same year 2012 for the lowest yards per carry in a season 3.6.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's bad, man that is bad.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: It is so terrible.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I posted this whole social media said the browns
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: And to all the people questioning and asking these questions, his Quintion Judkins actually is good as we thought he was earlier in the season.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: Spoiler, yes, yes he is.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: And here's the answer as to why.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: Quintion Judkins yards before contact per attempt.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: Okay?
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yards before contact, per attempt on the season.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: One point four.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: That means on average that Judkin is only averaging 1.4 yards before the defenders are on him.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_00]: It is the second lowest mark in the entire league.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: The only person with a worse number, a worse yards before contact per attempt in the NFL.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: is Ashton, Gentie for the Raiders, also a rookie running back.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: He is at 1.3.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: So these two guys are suffering, suffering behind a bismal horrible, absolutely terrible offensive lines.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: Quenchon Judkins has three hundred and eleven yards before contact this season.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: That is the lowest, easily the lowest.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: You can look up the numbers, easily the lowest for any running back who has over 200 carries this year.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: On the flip side, and this is where I'm so encouraged by what I've seen and by what I'm reading in these numbers for Quenchon.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: On the flip side of this coin, he has four hundred and ninety four yards after contact.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: almost 500 yards after contact.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: That is the seventh most in the entire NFL this season.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: His yards after contact per attempt is 2.2, which is tied for the sixth best in the league.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_00]: This issue in the run game, it is not Quenchon Judkins.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: It is the offensive line.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: Quintchon Juckens is actually still leading.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: Even after just putting up 20 some yards in each of the last two games, he is still leading all rookie running backs in rushing, despite all of that.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_00]: Give this guy an offensive line.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: A real actual NFL offensive line, please.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: And we could be in some serious business with this kid, the record thing that I'm looking for when Sean Judkin's now it has changed because of the abysmal offensive line play.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_00]: This episode is sponsored by Bodden Sports.

- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: bad mitten outdoor volleyball, bachi horses, kickball, they've got a knockout game set and of course pickleball, which I know I've been saying on here I need to learn how to play.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't yet, but I do plan to learn at some point and I will be getting my first pickleball set from botten sports.

- 19:32[SPEAKER_00]: There's only been one browns running back ever to rush for over a thousand yards as a rookie.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_00]: And that was Kevin Mac.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_00]: Back in, gosh, what was it?
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: 1982, 85, somewhere in the 80s, like that.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: He had, if I remember correctly, up top my head, like 1,107 yards.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_00]: At one point this season, not that long ago.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: Quint Sean Judd comes on pace for 1,104.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: right there.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_00]: He was on pace to easily become the second rookie running back to ever rush for over a thousand yards.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: And then he was also on pace to really fight for that top spot in franchise history with Kevin Mac.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: Now he's on pace for 990 yards, just coming up shy of that thousand yard mark.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: We got the bills, we got the Steelers, and we've got the Bengals.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: Two of those, I haven't looked up the bills, and I need to because we're doing that preview here in a couple of days, and I'll have those numbers on Thursday, but I know the Steelers and Bengals give it up everywhere, but really on the ground.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_00]: You can run on those teams.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, guys.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: I'm struggling to see behind this offensive line because again, a lot of things with our offense doesn't even matter about who we're playing my own.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_00]: Care about the opponent, we can't even overcome our own ineptitudes.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: to compete with, I don't care if we're planning against that 30 second ranked rush defense or the first.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't matter, we, we're gonna get in our own way no matter what.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's the problem.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I've got trouble seeing quench on ever hitting 50 yards in a game the rest of the season.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: So to get to that 990, maybe push to get to that thousand yard mark is going to be tough.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_00]: gonna be a stretch.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: I this is one I'm not counting on.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_00]: I am counting on the Miles Garrett record.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: I am counting on the Carson Swissinger record or at least coming very close to that one.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_00]: I am counting obviously on the Harold Fanon record.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_00]: He only needs one catch.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: This one with Quenchon, not counting on.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not his fault.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's not his fault.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_00]: It is the offensive line.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: talk a little bit about this offensive line.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_00]: Let me pull up these numbers real quick.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: So on the blocking side of things, we'll just go through the grades and all that kind of stuff because
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: you know, the grades are the grades.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: There's really the problem with offensive line.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: There's not a great way to measure.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know, there's no statistical stat keeping site that I really have found or used that does a good job in evaluating how they've played in a game other than these grades from PFF.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: So on the past walking side of things, you've got everybody did pretty good.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody except for
- 22:20[SPEAKER_00]: No, pretty much everybody.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: So you got a 83-1, no, I'm sorry, 81.5 by Joel Batonio.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: You got a 75.6-Luke Whiplier.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: You're right, Tackle KT Leviston, log to 73.9.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_00]: Tevin Jenkins was your lowest offensive lineman at 62.5.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_00]: and then Cam Robinson at a 66.8 and then Garrett Delinger, who actually came in for 29 snaps after Tevin Jenkins went out with an injury, had a 73.3 grade, so on the past blocking side of things, and I can break this down a little more, which is what I wanted to do, the offensive line actually did pretty well against the bears, which I don't know if the bears are necessarily
- 23:07[SPEAKER_00]: all and all.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: Not a bad day at the office for the offensive line in the past blocking game.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: We're looking at just just 11 pressures allowed by the offensive line the entire game.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: Three by Jenkins, four by Cam Robinson, just one by Delinger, zero by Leviston, two by Whippler, and one by Betonio.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_00]: Our boy.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: Should door to a five-sax in that game and it looks like PFF is a tributing all five of those two should or Because they have Zero-saxs what's so ever attributed to the offensive one, and that's okay.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's again I'm not gonna be like these other guys on social media and stuff who just look for one one little mistake by should or say
- 23:51[SPEAKER_00]: Storgy's worthless piece of crap.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: No, he's a rookie quarterback and he was playing in a very adverse situation When you start the game on your own one yard line and you open up with the wrong play sheet in your wrist band And you've got two penalties to start the game and you're running from you know an inch out What are you supposed to do?
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: It yeah that game was not on him, but we talked about that we talked about that and I don't need to harp all over it again but
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: Overall, offensive line encouraging now, the one guy did wanna highlight here.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_00]: I saw a video on TikTok, a very nice compilation video break down of his, some of his snaps during that game.
- 24:34[UNKNOWN]: Whew.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: This is where I go back to.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: Are we watching film?
- 24:38[SPEAKER_00]: We watching film during the week.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: Cause if we are, how's Cam Robinson still playing on the field?
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: Cam Robinson sucks.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: Ha ha, Cam Robinson is real freaking bad.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_00]: Pass blocking, run blocking.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: So many of the plays that were in this real that I watched.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't touch anybody.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't touch anybody.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking, he's going out to block.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_00]: His hands never come on a single defender.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: Quintron Juggins is getting tackled three yards behind him.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_00]: What are we doing?
- 25:13[SPEAKER_00]: What are we doing?
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: You know, in this sucks because I can't Robinson was a guy, if you guys who have been here for a while, remember back during free agency, before, you know, signings were opened up and things, I wanted the Browns to sign cam Robinson, I liked him, he had had a pretty solid career.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: What the hell is going on in Cleveland?
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: And this is where I, I, I, and so torn between just ripping the players and tearing these guys down and saying they can just completely suck in our trash.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: And actually wondering like, are they just, is it just the team?
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like is it just the coaching too?
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like, every player, everybody.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: Why it freaking teller, all pro, perennial probleer, got benched this year.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't get it, I don't get it, and I don't believe, I don't believe that why it tellers bad.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, I mean, let me know in the comments what you guys think.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think tellers had a bad player.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's lost it.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's the scheme.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's the price, gotta be the preparation.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they really practice.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: You can just tell, like on the field, these guys don't know what they're doing, they look lost, they look stupid and they're not stupid players, not all of them.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: Not why I tell her not Joel Batonio, I refuse to believe that Luke Whiplier's a stupid player.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think Kim Robinson is a good player.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: Why does he suck for us?
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: Why do these guys suck for us?
- 26:54[SPEAKER_00]: So then if you flip over here to the run blocking,
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty bad, pretty bad.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_00]: You're highest graded, run blocking, offensive lineman was Tevin Jenkins, followed by his replacement, Garrett Dellinger, and they were at a 65.4 and a 62.2.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_00]: And then it just gets bat, like it gets real bad.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: You got a scroll scroll scroll scroll scroll down here.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, there's our next highest graded offensive lineman in the run blocking game, grade game, KT, Leveston at a 53.5, which means the other three guys
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: Luke Whipler 44.2, Joel Batonio 44, Cameraman's in 43.4, yikes.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_00]: Big yikes.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so not good.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_00]: Not good.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: There's also something to be said for opposing defenses are taking away our run game.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_00]: That is fair.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_00]: because that is happening.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_00]: Set it on the previous show last week, bears did it, everybody does it to us.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: Titans did it, just take away the wrong game.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_00]: Don't like when Sean Judd can beat you and you're probably gonna beat the Browns.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: And this is not an indictment on Shador Sanders or anything like that, it's just our offense sucks.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: Our offense sucks.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: Shador, Dylan, Joe Flacco, doesn't matter.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_00]: Put the Sean Watson in there.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: They're playing behind all backup offensive line right now.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's what we're dealing with.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_00]: All of our starting, the five starting linemen that we open the season with.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: We only have one left in his drill but Tony, everybody else is going.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody else is a backup.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: And our wide receiving core is UDFA rookie practice squad, guys.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: think about that.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_00]: Think about that.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_00]: And Jerry Judy.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: Jerry Judy sucks.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: He is one player that I will say he sucks.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's garbage.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_00]: He's trash and he's a go.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_00]: But the problem is he can't get rid of him.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: Got a voicemail about that later.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_00]: Don't want to go too much in a Jerry Judy.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: But behind him, you got, you know, Mr.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm in the hospital all the time, Senator Tillman, because he's always freaking hurt.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_00]: He played seven snaps.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_00]: Remember guys, if you watched the Sunday night reaction show, I asked the guys, where was said to him in today?
- 29:13[SPEAKER_00]: He was active, he cleared concussion protocol, where the hell was he?
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: You are supposed to be our number two receiver, you're a third year guy.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: The team rolled into the season with you as the number two, confident in you.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_00]: Where are you?
- 29:29[SPEAKER_00]: Seven snaps, which means Shidorah Sanders is just throwing to Jared Judy, and after that it is,
- 29:35[SPEAKER_00]: rookie UDFA practice squad, gauge Leridan, rookie UDFA, Isaiah Bond, and second year signed off the practice squad elevated to the active roster of Malachi Corley.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_00]: Those are your four wide receivers for the game.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: I think those are the only four wide receivers active.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry they were five, said you're telling me, but he didn't play.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_00]: So the only four active receivers
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: And the broadcast, the guy's an idiot.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, all he's doing is throwing to Harold Fanon.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: The defense knows he's throwing to Harold Fanon every time.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: No shit dude, who else is he supposed to throw to?
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: Who else is he supposed to throw to?
- 30:22[SPEAKER_00]: David and Joker's not active for the game.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's out, he's injured.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, I don't think he's a brown next year.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_00]: I just, not trending that way.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: This, this is why I say I don't really care.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_00]: about the 2025 draft class being good for Andrew Barry, you got to go.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: Any front office that goes into a season, any NFL professional football team front office goes into a season with this is their offensive line and the depth on the offensive line and this is the wider saving core, you got to go, you got to go, how trust you, I don't want you, I don't like you,
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: I am not on board with anybody inside this regime sticking around.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: I want to hear in the comments though, what do you guys think?
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to keep the front office?
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to keep Andrew buried?
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to keep Kevin?
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: Or do you want to fire Kevin?
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: Fire all the coaches?
- 31:15[SPEAKER_00]: Keep some of the coaches?
- 31:16[SPEAKER_00]: What do you guys want to do?
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: You guys know what I want to do?
- 31:19[SPEAKER_00]: Lean, house, gut, this mother thing because it is bad, is so bad.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: But we got three weeks to see what ends up happening so we can talk about it until then.

- 34:37[SPEAKER_00]: you can just send in a message.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_00]: Totally cool.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's what Ryan did here.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_00]: So I got Ryan from the website said being a Browns fan means loyalty through pain.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_00]: Boy, I couldn't have said it any better.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_00]: He says today was one of those games where watching felt like a chore.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_00]: I was literally considering organizing my sock chore alphabetically.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_00]: instead of watching the second half yet here I am still watching because suffering is part of the fandom.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_00]: See you next week.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: Spoken like a true true true true bronze fan right there.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_00]: Suffering is truly part of the experience.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: We all have shared trauma.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_00]: Just think of it that way as well.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: We all got the shared drama.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_00]: Let's kick it over here to a voicemail.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_00]: I want to talk.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_00]: Let's do Mike first.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, my name is Mike.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_02]: I live in Pensacola, Florida.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_02]: I just want to say that curl route when it should do her, was trying to get the ball to a fan in.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_02]: And it almost got picked off.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's responsible for that in a bad past.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_02]: And the fake hand off to Judgekins, when he was trying to get something going, after coming back out to the field, and trying to get something quick.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_02]: The alarm record just made a play, and he jumped up, it's a pick.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_02]: And the throw to Jerry Judy man that was a franchise quarterback throw that ball cannot have been thrown any better than it was the ball placement everything like the velocity all of it.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_02]: It was perfect.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: Shoulder is showing that he can be a franchise guy.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_02]: He just needs better talent.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_02]: Special teams, so it's play calling sucks like it's just bad bro, and all this stuff is stacked up against your door And he's just a rookie.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_02]: I'm watching the game.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_02]: He got them down to near the red zone twice and Kevin's defense He did not eat lip to run the ball not one time
- 36:26[SPEAKER_02]: like those deep bars dies here, but I put them in great field positions to run the ball, you know, get the ball out of your door hands, and then just try another, you know, just, I don't know, man, it just sucks all this sucks.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: Mike, I am with you.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: 100% man, it sucks.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: The whole thing, just sucks.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm trying to be very fair with my evaluation of Shador Sanders because obviously I can't just come in here and be good like the guy is the savior.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_00]: We need to make sure what it do everything we can to make it more quarterback out of yada yada yada, and at the same time obviously I can't come in here and just condemn him be like, oh, I'll never be anything because listen, as a long time Browns fan like most of you guys are and if you're a new Browns fan, if you're new to the fanbase or if you're just here because of Shador, whatever, whatever reason you're here.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_00]: This is what you need to understand.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_00]: And again, long time Browns fans will understand this.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_00]: I have seen so many rookie quarterbacks.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, should or standards is number 42.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_00]: The 42nd starting quarterback for the Browns since 1999.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_00]: Many of them, I forget the number, but many of them have been rookies.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_00]: And what happens is we put rookies on the field before they're ready.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_00]: we take rookies off the field before we've given them a real shot and we move on from rookies way too prematurely.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: We constantly put rookies in bad positions.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_00]: We constantly have bad coaching.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_00]: We never have receivers.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I've seen a lot of this.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_00]: Shador is just the next rookie quarterback in a long line of them for the Browns to be in the situation, the difference, and why I'm so encouraged.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_00]: an optimistic about what should door can grow into if given the proper time and coaching development that the players around him if he's given what any quarterback needs to be successful.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think he can be, and the reason is, I have seen him do things in these four starts that I have not seen rookie quarterbacks ever do for the rounds in these situations.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the last one that gave us any real hope as a rookie was Baker Mayfield.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: Baker Mayfield as a rookie was like, wow, okay.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_00]: This is why we took him at number one overall.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_00]: He's got it.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_00]: We can build around him and, you know, it didn't work out that way.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_00]: For whatever reason, we can argue how it went.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_00]: All that kind of stuff.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to say,
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: really it's been Baker and Shoulder now.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_00]: The only two rookie quarterbacks that I've watched in these situations with this franchise organization this team to actually show the overcome ability.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: Can you overcome adverse situations, cards, the deck stack, stacked against you, all that kind of stuff?
- 39:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I see it with Shador.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the throw, the first interception where the linebacker made a great play.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_00]: He did, but at the same time, Shador, with more experience, a more experienced quarterback, probably, or maybe not probably, but could possibly see that.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_00]: And pull back, go to the next read or whatever,
- 39:51[SPEAKER_00]: I've also seen six, seven-year veterans make that throw, not see the linebacker, it gets tipped, picked, whatever.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it happens.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not, again, not here to condemn the guy because of one play, he's a rookie.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_00]: But the way he can bounce back throughout the game, step up in a collapsing chaotic pocket, throw a perfectly placed precision deep ball,
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: It gets me excited.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_00]: That's to me that's optimism.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, okay, I Brown's rookie quarterback.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_00]: Don't do that.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_00]: They just don't do that.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_00]: Not consistently, not accurately, not with any sort of rhythm.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_00]: And he's got it.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_00]: The throated Jerry Judy, which in my next voice, Mel's going to talk about that.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe I'll hold off on all of it.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_00]: But.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_00]: You cannot, Blake said it Sunday night, you cannot walk to the end zone and hand the ball to a better spot for Jerry Judy to take it into the end zone for a touchdown than where she doors through that pass.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_00]: And actually, Mike, appreciate the voicemail.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for all your thoughts.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_00]: Call back in.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_00]: Love hearing from you.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_00]: Talking about that past from should order Judy.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_00]: I got a kick it over here today.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_00]: Hannah.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: First time call her.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: What's up guys?
- 41:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's Hannah from Down and Dayton area.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to talk about Jerry Judy and how much I can't stand this fool.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_01]: And I almost wanted to come up and clap in his face.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: Listen, the inner reception that he caused this week has me so heated and it has me heated because, you know, we seen him with his little quick step and oh, fumbling the ball a couple weeks ago, one take that I'm not seeing anyone talk about is this boy likes to play and he's pissing me off fight for the ball catch the ball pay a attention when he flipped into the in zone the flight
- 41:49[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to flip after already, it means, you know, like, touchdown, great.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_01]: Cool.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_01]: Flip around, celebrate, do what you want.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_01]: The fact that you flipped into the Inzo and mind you, he only had one hand on the wall.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_01]: That, oh, grind me.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_01]: It made me so mad.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to drive up to Cleveland and clapping his face this week.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_01]: Get your shit together because I'm telling you, he's got to go.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's got to go.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_01]: He's got to go.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_01]: Kevin's
- 42:19[SPEAKER_01]: All of them.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_01]: They had got to go.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_01]: They are not good for this organization.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_01]: Running out of time.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_01]: Love you guys.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for all the great info that you guys said now every week.
- 42:31[UNKNOWN]: Bye.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_00]: Well, thank you, Hannah, love you too.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: I love the enthusiasm as the first time caller.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's great.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_00]: I love hearing from people for the first time, because when I record the podcast, I'm sitting here talking to myself, okay?
- 42:47[SPEAKER_00]: And then I put it out at a later date or later time for you guys to listen to.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't even know who's out there listening or watching.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_00]: Unless I hear back from you guys.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_00]: So it is so,
- 42:55[SPEAKER_00]: fund for me to hear from you guys.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_00]: And I love your take to because I hate charity.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so sick.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: His bullshit, too.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's driving me nuts.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I said it last week.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_00]: I, I felt like the old, you know, the old, you know, students, Grandpa, sitting on the porch, get off my lawn, but I just could not stand that flipping to the end of them.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: He has been asked all season, just a bismal.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_00]: and the one time he actually makes a play and he's going to show both like an idiot again.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_00]: I said last week too.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care if you celebrate after you score the touchdown.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's cool.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_00]: That happens all the time.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's what you're supposed to do.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_00]: But when you're stopping before you score the touchdown, just so you can make a flip into the end zone dude.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_00]: just and that's like two weeks removed from whatever you were trying to do something cute and fancy down the sideline and cause the biggest fumble, the dumbest fumble I've probably ever seen just grinds my gears.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_00]: The problem with Jerry Judy is we can't get rid of him as much as I want to as much as I say it all the time during the games like it just get this guy off my football team that Browns really can't.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of like a mini-dishon Watson situation if you think about it that
- 44:09[SPEAKER_00]: the contract that they gave Jerry Judy and I should pull it up one of these future episodes I'll actually get the numbers but I just I know that the dead cap numbers at least for like next year and probably the year after are going to be prohibitive of moving him off of this team so he's here he's here and this is another problem with that I have with Andrew Barry and why he's got it go.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_00]: We have said so many times over the years here like the way Andrew Barry handles the cap, the way you can manipulate the cap space and structure these contracts to give us a little extra edge each year and all that kind of stuff.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's great.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_00]: It is a great method.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not harping on the method.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's the process of evaluating the players that is screwing this team so bad.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_00]: because and we talked to Jack Duff from the OBR last summer about contract stuff and you know that conversation sits with me all the time like I remember things that he said so vividly because he's he's right on about this stuff.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't follow Jack on Twitter and you think go follow Jack Duff and he's phenomenal follow very smart guy.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_00]: Um
- 45:12[SPEAKER_00]: The way Andrew Barry structures these contracts is very good.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's very forward thinking and all this kind of stuff in the NFL, but for it to actually work.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a very, it's a very fine line you walk with the way he does the cap and the contracts.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_00]: Very fine line because if you do it with the wrong players,
- 45:35[SPEAKER_00]: it will derail your team four years.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's basically what Jack told us.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_00]: If you structure these contracts and give them to the right players,
- 45:47[SPEAKER_00]: You are set up for success for years to come.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_00]: And unfortunately with Andrew Barry, he has done it with the wrong players.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_00]: He did it with Deshawn Watson.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_00]: Another great example right here in front of us, he did it with Jerry Judy.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: You are hamstringing us with bad players, with bad attitudes, bad personalities, bad off feel, whatever you want to call it.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_00]: very minimal if any on field production worth anything and those are the contracts that hamstring us.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, we're stuck with Judy.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_00]: We are stuck, which is why I am a very strong advocate for drafting two wide receivers in the first round and if you don't, you definitely need to take a receiver with the first pick.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_00]: If you're not going quarterback, which we can talk about
- 46:36[SPEAKER_00]: But if you're not going quarterback, you have got to go in my opinion, car notate with your first pick.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: No matter what, what you do with the J-Wires pick, we'll see how the first round unfold.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_00]: If there's an offensive lineman there, that's like we cannot pass on this guy then you take him and then at that next pick early in the second round, you make sure you take another receiver because Judy can't be the one.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_00]: Judy cannot be the two.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_00]: The highest in the pecking order that I want Jerry Judy.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_00]: Next year is wide receiver three.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's the highest.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_00]: So, and that's after you factor like Harold Fan and Junior and maybe Dylan Samson into the past in game.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want Jerry Judy being any prominent piece of this offense moving forward.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so let's kick it over.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_00]: Hannah, thank you for the call.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_00]: Mike, thank you for the call.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate hearing from you guys.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_00]: Call back, keep calling in, join the dog pack, get in there with everybody.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_00]: This is the type of stuff that gets me excited.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_00]: That community, you guys would be perfect fits
- 47:36[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_00]: Clawed.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_00]: This is the last force mail day.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_00]: This is from Clawed.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, gang.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_04]: Clawed from Erio.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_04]: Lost to the Titans.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, well.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_04]: How I see it?
- 47:47[SPEAKER_04]: We're closer to a higher draft pick.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_04]: And we got to see some more of Shador.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm happy with it.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_04]: I am.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_04]: I question to all the Cleveland Brown fans that are Shador haters.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_04]: How can you sit there behind your little keyboard typing all these comments?
- 48:05[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, he's not talented enough to be in this league.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_04]: He's only here because of nepotism.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_04]: He's not mature enough.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_04]: He's not humble enough.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_04]: Like, because I see a guy that is athletic enough to be in this league.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_04]: I see a guy that was humbled, followed the fifth round, named QB3, and he had to work his ass off to get here.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_04]: So like, give your head a shakebud if like, you think this is a throwaway quarterback?
- 48:30[SPEAKER_04]: and we need to go for a number one quarterback.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_04]: I don't want to do that.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_04]: I see a guy that cares, wants to be here, and just, I don't know if he's the savior of the franchise, but like, I'm more stoked on him than Watson.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_04]: So that's all I got his name, man.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_04]: Dog Pound.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_00]: Claude, thank you for the voicemail and obviously Claude sent that last week after the Titans game just didn't have a chance to get to it here on the show before the weekend and everything with the bears, but it's still very pertinent to what we're talking about here.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, I agree with you.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think, you know, what from what I've seen with Shador said it multiple times, like he just clearly he can play in the NFL, like I don't think that's even debatable if anybody's still out there posting or questioning, you know, I don't think he's an NFL quarterback.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_00]: Just forget him.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_00]: He has shown that he, with, with experience, obviously, and development, he'll be an NFL quarterback.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_00]: Will it be for the Browns?
- 49:32[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_00]: I still at this moment in time sitting here heading into the Bill's game in week 16.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_00]: I hope he is because I think it makes a lot of sense to build around him.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_00]: I really do.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_00]: But,
- 49:46[SPEAKER_00]: the scenario and we'll talk about the draft here real quick and then we'll wrap this thing up for the day.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_00]: Draft positioning okay so the Browns at three and eleven are currently sitting at the number four spot in the NFL draft right now is being projected they're probably going to be
- 50:05[SPEAKER_00]: Possibly two quarterbacks worth taking, in my opinion, in the first round, definitely only two worth taking in the top five.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_00]: That's how it currently sits.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_00]: Now, obviously, draft season can change things in orders and projections and prospect rankings, all kind of stuff.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_00]: As it sits right now, it is for an animal mendoza.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_00]: I firmly believe he'll be the number one over all pick.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_00]: He'll make your bets on calcium.com slash dogs right now.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_00]: And put those ones in there.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_00]: And then I think it'll be Dante Moore.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_00]: He declares.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_00]: Now there's a growing mounting speculation that he will declare for the NFL, but Oregon is reportedly really heavily trying to get him to come back for one more season.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see after the playoff once Oregon is eliminated because obviously if they get far enough to play Ohio State, you're going down Oregon, but you know, once they get out of the playoff, we'll find out who's declaring if he's declaring all that kind of stuff.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_00]: So it's Fernando Mendoza,
- 51:04[SPEAKER_00]: are the only two quarterbacks think about that real quick because we all heard so much last year all this 2026 quarterback class is going to be legendary.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be one for the ages and all this kind of stuff.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_00]: There are two guys right now in my opinion worth first round pick at quarterback in this 2026 draft class and not a single one of those two.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_00]: were even anywhere close to the names being thrown around last year.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's how much things change in one season in college football.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_00]: So to sit anybody sitting here right now saying, like, if you're argument for keeping your door in 2026, as well, if he sucks, we'll just draft a quarterback in 2027.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_00]: You can't just say, well, we'll just draft a guy in 27.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's what we said last year.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_00]: We'll just draft a guy in 26.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_00]: And now we're sitting here at the forpick.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_00]: And there's nobody to pick.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if you're bored, come out here and look like, oh, there's no way you can play football.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_00]: We would be screwed at four.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_00]: Think about that.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_00]: There was supposed to be like six guys in the first round in 2026, and we're down to two, probably.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_00]: Mendoza and maybe Dante Morse.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_00]: So sitting at four of the Browns at 3 and 11, now here's the thing, the teams in front of us.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_00]: Right now currently holding the number one pick the New York Giants.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_00]: Number two, Las Vegas Raiders and number three Tennessee Titans, all three teams are at 2 and 12.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_00]: Here are the remaining records.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_00]: for those teams.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_00]: The giants with the number one pick in week 16, they play the Minnesota Vikings, then they go and they play the Raiders, and then they finish out with the Cowboys, the Raiders, play the Texans, and then they play the Giants in the Garden of Menchu lead chiefs.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_00]: the eliminated from the playoffs chiefs.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna be a little different story.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_00]: Week, or now I'm sorry, then the Titans, week 16, play the same garden and mention your led chiefs.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_00]: The Saints, who are sitting at, I don't have that all in front of me.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're like six or seven now with the four or with the four and ten record.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_00]: And they finish out with the Jaguars.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_00]: So the big takeaway here is that in week 17, next week, the Raiders and the Giants play each other and they're both ahead of us.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_00]: So if I'm trying to think how this works out, because if the Raiders beat the Giants, yeah, I don't know, because we beat the Raiders, man, how bad do you have to beat a loose at the Browns?
- 53:21[SPEAKER_00]: But anyways, the Titans sitting in front of us, because they beat us.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_00]: So if they win another game, they bounce probably behind us.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_00]: I'm guessing.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_00]: I know the draft order is not structured by head to head matchups.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's more the strength of schedule and all that kind of stuff.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the brown strength of schedules at 0.483.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_00]: So I think we could probably move up.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_00]: I know there's prediction sites that have us projected to land the number two overall pick.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_00]: So if that's the case, the off season's going to be filled with what do we do?
- 53:54[SPEAKER_00]: What do we do?
- 53:55[SPEAKER_00]: Is it Dante more?
- 53:56[SPEAKER_00]: Or is it carnell tape?
- 53:59[SPEAKER_00]: Or is it tradeback a couple spots with,
- 54:02[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the the raiders, the jets, whoever needs a quarterback, still get car NLT, do what we did last year, grab some more future draft capital.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see how it goes.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_00]: But that's kind of your situation right now with the draft in case you were wondering.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously, I don't put a whole lot of stock into draft positioning until we get week 17, 18.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_00]: And then obviously after the season is the regular seasons done for us, because I won't know.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_00]: But it just changes so much week to week right now.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_00]: You have so many teams that suck.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_00]: And we're just right in the mix.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_00]: Right in the mix, let's see.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's ESPN analytics.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_00]: Here it is.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_00]: The Browns are locked into a top 10 pick, obviously, in the draft.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_00]: But now they have the second best chance to get the number one pick at 19.9.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_00]: So 20% chance to get the number one pick.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I must read that whenever I put this together.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, guys.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_00]: To get the number one pick.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_00]: And the Las Vegas Raiders currently have the best odds at 39% to land the number one pick.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we'll see how it goes.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_00]: Browns will finish 3 and 14.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_00]: We're not being the bills or we're not beating the dealers and we're not beating the bangles.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_00]: This team is terrible, but again, go back to the top of the episode and listen to all the things that we have to watch for.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_00]: The miles, Garrett, the Carson Swesinger, the Harold Fanon, the Quincy on Judkins.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_00]: There are things to watch and obviously the continued development of Shador Sanders can he, at least, continue to make us
- 55:29[SPEAKER_00]: somewhat competitive I think that it's going to be hard when our defense is going to give up 30 plus points probably in each of these last three games.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_00]: But just continue to show the throws, continue to show development progression in your decision making.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he's already done a phenomenal job with the sacks, like anybody still arguing how he takes such bad sacks.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_00]: No, he does not.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about that.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_00]: No, he does not definitely does not take any sacks hardly when the game is still, we'll call competitive or at least within a reachable score.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's toward the end of game, second half, fourth quarters.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_00]: When we're just getting absolutely blown out that he's just trying to press and make a play and hold the ball to let things develop down field.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_00]: That's when these big sacks are coming up.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_00]: Really, that concerned about it, honestly.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know what you guys think about all this stuff in the comments as always.
