- 0:07Speaker 2: Second Date Update starts right now on John Jay and
- 0:10Speaker 2: Ridge one.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Four seven Kiss FM. John J. Rich Time for Second
- 0:14Speaker 3: Date Update. You meet somebody, you go on a date,
- 0:16Speaker 3: you expect there to be a second date. It doesn't happen,
- 0:18Speaker 3: so you come to us. That's what Nate's doing. Good morning,
- 0:20Speaker 3: Nate morning. What's your story?
- 0:23Speaker 1: I would really like to be told, well, I had
- 0:27Speaker 1: one of the best first dates in my life, and
- 0:28Speaker 1: I have just been ghosted about it. We were at
- 0:31Speaker 1: dinner for almost three hours, and conversation never got awkward
- 0:36Speaker 1: to me at least. She was gorgeous and funny and
- 0:43Speaker 1: honestly felt like someone I'd known forever. She was laughing
- 0:46Speaker 1: at all my stupid jokes and me. We walked around
- 0:50Speaker 1: afterwards and I left thinking, you know, this could actually
- 0:54Speaker 1: go somewhere, and I had not gotten any response since then.
- 0:59Speaker 1: I got a laughing emoji. That's as far as I've
- 1:02Speaker 1: gotten from her.
- 1:03Speaker 4: I'd like to hear one of your stupid jokes that
- 1:05Speaker 4: she laughed at me, Like, did she laugh you like
- 1:08Speaker 4: an honest sincere laugh or she laughed, You're like, like,
- 1:10Speaker 4: oh man, I gotta get out of here.
- 1:14Speaker 1: I thought I was honest. To be perfectly frank with you,
- 1:18Speaker 1: I thought, you know, I mean, listen, if I'm a loser,
- 1:22Speaker 1: then I'll I'll happily accept it. But that's why I
- 1:25Speaker 1: called you guys.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Wait know?
- 1:26Speaker 5: But did she like, like, can we hear a joke?
- 1:29Speaker 1: All right, I'll tell you a stupid joke. A man
- 1:34Speaker 1: drives along in the country roads and he is driving
- 1:37Speaker 1: in a sports car comes across a horse in the
- 1:40Speaker 1: middle of a field that says for sale, and he
- 1:41Speaker 1: decides that he wants to buy that horse. He goes
- 1:44Speaker 1: up to the farmer, ruins the horse and says, hey,
- 1:45Speaker 1: can I buy the horse. The farmer says, sure you can,
- 1:49Speaker 1: but I gotta tell you the horse used to be
- 1:51Speaker 1: owned by a bunch of monks, and it only respond
- 1:53Speaker 1: to certain phrases. In order for you to make it go,
- 1:56Speaker 1: you have to say thank God in order for you
- 1:59Speaker 1: to make it stop to say I'm in. The man
- 2:01Speaker 1: jumps on the horse and says thank God, and the
- 2:03Speaker 1: horse shoots off like a bullet. He goes faster and faster,
- 2:06Speaker 1: and he's enjoying himself immensely. But then he realizes that
- 2:09Speaker 1: there's a cliff coming up ahead. He can't remember the
- 2:12Speaker 1: phrase to make it stop, and the cliffs are coming
- 2:15Speaker 1: up closer, and he thinks he's going to die. And
- 2:17Speaker 1: suddenly he remembers the phrase I'm in, I'm in, and
- 2:22Speaker 1: the horse screeches to a stop. He looks at the
- 2:24Speaker 1: sky and he says, thank God, and.
- 2:37Speaker 6: Get a second date.
- 2:38Speaker 3: That is a funny joke. Delivery was great, that was good.
- 2:48Speaker 5: Something else.
- 2:49Speaker 4: I've never heard that joke before. All right, Well, all right,
- 2:54Speaker 4: so she blows you off. You don't know why he
- 2:56Speaker 4: thought it was great. So what's her name? We'll get
- 2:57Speaker 4: her on the phone.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Taylor Hyler. All right, can you hang for a second.
- 3:00Speaker 3: We'll get Titter on the phone.
- 3:01Speaker 4: All right, Yeah, we're gonna find out why she's blowing
- 3:04Speaker 4: off this comic genius.
- 3:06Speaker 3: All right. Second date update continues next with John Jay
- 3:10Speaker 3: and Rich.
- 3:10Speaker 2: If Chaos was a radio show, you're listening to it,
- 3:14Speaker 2: meets John Jay and Rich.
- 3:16Speaker 3: John Jaye Rich. We are in the middle of second
- 3:19Speaker 3: date up there.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Well, this is the story of Nate. Nate had a
- 3:22Speaker 2: really good first date. He thought he found him mate,
- 3:26Speaker 2: he found her where he ate. But Nate, it's too late.
- 3:30Speaker 2: She doesn't like one of your traits. So she's not
- 3:33Speaker 2: calling you back. Let's find out why.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Well, he thinks it's because he's a bad No. I
- 3:37Speaker 3: thought maybe he's a bad joke teller.
- 3:39Speaker 6: Yes, but he's a great joke heller.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Yeah, he said. She was laughing at his cute jokes,
- 3:44Speaker 3: and we laughed at his cute jokes. They did. So
- 3:46Speaker 3: we're gonna call her up right now. You ready, Nate?
- 3:48Speaker 4: Yep?
- 3:49Speaker 3: Guys of mind, someone's calling me.
- 3:52Speaker 5: No, kind of in the middle of something, kind of.
- 4:13Speaker 4: Hello.
- 4:13Speaker 5: Hi is this Taylor?
- 4:16Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 4:16Speaker 5: Hi, Hi, My name is Peyton. I'm with John, Jay
- 4:19Speaker 5: and Rich and we just wanted to talk to you
- 4:21Speaker 5: about a few things this morning, if you're free.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Okay. So we got a call from a guy, great personality.
- 4:29Speaker 4: He went on a date with this fantastic woman. He said,
- 4:32Speaker 4: he had a great date, three hour date, and now
- 4:34Speaker 4: she's blowing him off. He doesn't know why. Here's the deal.
- 4:36Speaker 4: He came to us because you're that woman. We told
- 4:39Speaker 4: him we would call you and get your version of
- 4:42Speaker 4: the story because the way he told it seemed like
- 4:44Speaker 4: you guys were men for each other.
- 4:46Speaker 7: Okay, is this Nate.
- 4:50Speaker 3: It's John Jay and Rich but.
- 4:51Speaker 7: Yes we're calling up Okay, okay, okay, so Jesus, this
- 4:58Speaker 7: is so embarrassing. Best of all, he was amazing. I like,
- 5:02Speaker 7: actually genuinely had a good time with him, and like
- 5:04Speaker 7: he didn't do anything wrong. But like, I didn't know
- 5:09Speaker 7: who his family was until he started like showing pictures
- 5:12Speaker 7: of you know, our families on Instagram, and he pulled
- 5:16Speaker 7: up a picture of his dad and I immediately recognized him,
- 5:19Speaker 7: like immediately, and oh my god, I can't believe I'm sayings.
- 5:24Speaker 3: On the radio.
- 5:26Speaker 7: I used to be his dad's sugar baby when I
- 5:29Speaker 7: graduated from college.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, and his dad.
- 5:37Speaker 7: And I had this whole arrangement like trips, build all
- 5:39Speaker 7: of it. He has absolutely no idea, and I was
- 5:43Speaker 7: like not about to be like, hey, you know, funny story.
- 5:47Speaker 7: So I don't know. I figured ghosting him was honestly
- 5:52Speaker 7: less traumatizing than him finding out later. But he's great.
- 5:54Speaker 7: I there's no way I'm dating statusy me naked.
- 5:58Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I just can't do it.
- 6:00Speaker 2: How long did this relationship would put in your quotes last.
- 6:05Speaker 7: Like a while, like years a while.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, how much money did you get? What'd
- 6:10Speaker 5: you get? What was the most expensive? Oh my gosh.
- 6:14Speaker 4: I'd see why you wouldn't say anything, because let's say
- 6:17Speaker 4: you guys did start to like each other, eventually you
- 6:19Speaker 4: would meet the family and that would be a very awkward, awkward. Yes,
- 6:23Speaker 4: I think it would be hard to develop a relationship
- 6:26Speaker 4: with someone that your dad slept with.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean you slept with him. You said he
- 6:30Speaker 3: saw you naked, So you guys did it all? Yes?
- 6:33Speaker 3: And what kind old man like thirty forty years older
- 6:37Speaker 3: than you? Or is he like ten years older than you?
- 6:39Speaker 3: How old is he?
- 6:40Speaker 7: He's significantly older than me.
- 6:43Speaker 5: Okay, all right, I know that makes sense on why
- 6:50Speaker 5: you wouldn't get back to him. I think we're all
- 6:51Speaker 5: in the same boat. I would also ghost.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I'm wondering why Nate didn't catch a shift in the energy. Yeah,
- 6:58Speaker 2: of like what what I.
- 6:59Speaker 5: Mean did because he called us.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Well, yeah, he thought the whole thing was great, even
- 7:03Speaker 2: because we said how to didad end? And he's like
- 7:05Speaker 2: it was a really nice hug goodbye? Yeah, and we're
- 7:07Speaker 2: still getting along. Were you just completely was your your
- 7:10Speaker 2: stomach completely sank.
- 7:12Speaker 7: Yeah, I really liked him, but I was like, this
- 7:15Speaker 7: sucked and it's embarrassing.
- 7:18Speaker 1: And like, what else am I going to do?
- 7:21Speaker 4: Look, I get to tell you back back in the day,
- 7:23Speaker 4: when I was single and I was dating, I remember
- 7:25Speaker 4: whenever like a girl acted kind of weird, for I'd
- 7:28Speaker 4: be like, I think she slept with my dad.
- 7:33Speaker 5: Because your dad in these streets or something.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Well, I gotta be clean with you. Is on the
- 7:40Speaker 3: line listening.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Is if Nate?
- 7:46Speaker 7: Oh my god, Nate, I did not know you were listening.
- 7:50Speaker 7: I'm so so sorry.
- 7:52Speaker 1: This explains a lot. My brain has been melting for
- 7:55Speaker 1: the last week trying to figure out what I did.
- 7:58Speaker 3: You know, I.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Thought that i'd say it's something terribly stupid or awful
- 8:04Speaker 1: or I don't know. I just I wasn't expecting my
- 8:07Speaker 1: dad to be the reason. But you know.
- 8:08Speaker 7: It's a reason.
- 8:09Speaker 3: It's not me.
- 8:10Speaker 7: No, you didn't do anything wrong. You were amazing. That's
- 8:13Speaker 7: why I felt so bad ghosting you.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I'm not surprised. My dad was basically single his entire life,
- 8:20Speaker 1: and he didn't have me until he was fifty five,
- 8:23Speaker 1: So you know, it's insane as this all sounds. I'm
- 8:25Speaker 1: honestly not shocked. He's always liked younger women.
- 8:28Speaker 7: Oh my god, I was mortified.
- 8:30Speaker 6: Well what if what if Nate didn't care?
- 8:32Speaker 2: What if Nate was okay with it and be like, hey,
- 8:34Speaker 2: everybody's got a history, let's still go out.
- 8:36Speaker 5: And Taylor's obviously not as actually ghosted him to bed
- 8:42Speaker 5: no stock because if they like update and they get
- 8:46Speaker 5: serious and they get married, I mean you cannot have
- 8:50Speaker 5: You cannot have slept with your father in law. That
- 8:52Speaker 5: is just not no. No, Like, sure there's people that
- 8:57Speaker 5: have done it, but it's not a good thing.
- 9:01Speaker 1: This is not something either of us need. Taylor, It's fine,
- 9:04Speaker 1: It's totally fine. I appreciate being told, but you know,
- 9:08Speaker 1: it's it's okay, it's all okay.
- 9:11Speaker 7: Yeah, I agree, Like, you don't need to have somebody
- 9:15Speaker 7: who's dating history overlaps your dad and someone who shows
- 9:19Speaker 7: up at Thanksgiving and I don't want to even think it.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Well, my dad died last year.
- 9:29Speaker 6: Wait, need you left him a happy man? Taylor?
- 9:33Speaker 5: Oh god, I'm so sorry.
- 9:35Speaker 1: It's fine.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Well, you know now that now that now that you died,
- 9:38Speaker 3: I wonder if that changes.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Don't you take this?
- 9:42Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 9:42Speaker 4: I think.
- 9:43Speaker 3: In fact, it's almost like it's you have a connection
- 9:45Speaker 3: with your dad forever.
- 9:46Speaker 2: You know, because he's not going to be there.
- 9:52Speaker 1: You regret calling the radio show.
- 9:57Speaker 3: I was being realistic.
- 9:58Speaker 4: I wonder if it's a to pay homage if you
- 10:01Speaker 4: really like her and you start dating her and then
- 10:04Speaker 4: you know, Yeah, I don't think.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Tell me when you speak, do you hear what you say?
- 10:10Speaker 5: Twice we asked John Jay that all the time.
- 10:16Speaker 3: I'm sorry, Nate, difficulties, Nate. Everything I say I heard
- 10:23Speaker 3: it was one ear and again in the other.
- 10:27Speaker 5: Sorry, sorry, Nate.
- 10:28Speaker 4: Sorry anyway, Nate, I was really hoping you could take
- 10:31Speaker 4: what I say seriously and look at a different point
- 10:33Speaker 4: of view.
- 10:34Speaker 3: If I fell in love with somebody and my dad
- 10:36Speaker 3: stuff with.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Him and he died, I'd be like, okay, you.
- 10:41Speaker 5: See your dad every time you saw whoever. That would
- 10:44Speaker 5: you would not be okay with?
- 10:46Speaker 1: Not?
- 10:47Speaker 5: Yes you do, but that's no gross.
- 10:49Speaker 3: I would love to think of my dad every time
- 10:51Speaker 3: I'm making love.
- 10:52Speaker 5: No, you would not. That so false.
- 11:00Speaker 3: While there again or no is over.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I think both of us are unfortunately quite content to
- 11:06Speaker 1: let this go.
- 11:08Speaker 5: Yeah, it seems mutual runaway fast, all right?
- 11:11Speaker 3: So Tator, thank you for jumping on there with us,
- 11:13Speaker 3: and thank you Nate. Sorry didn't turn out the way
- 11:15Speaker 3: you wanted.
- 11:15Speaker 6: No, I mean he wasn't his jokes, which is what
- 11:17Speaker 6: he's really concerned about.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Are you still a sugar baby?
- 11:20Speaker 7: I know I have my own job now, Okay?
- 11:23Speaker 3: Were you sugar baby for a lot of guys or
- 11:25Speaker 3: just his dad? Just one this one?
- 11:29Speaker 7: I just needed some help at the beginning of, you know,
- 11:31Speaker 7: getting out of college. I just needed a little financial
- 11:34Speaker 7: help before I got it back on my feet, and
- 11:36Speaker 7: that's what I chose to do.
- 11:37Speaker 3: But okay, well, thank you both for going on the air.
- 11:41Speaker 3: You guys. That's second Ate update.
