- 0:00Speaker 1: All Star Toyota presents Off the Bench with Jacob Hester
- 0:04Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where.
- 0:06Speaker 1: The plays get broken down, then science gets denied.
- 0:10Speaker 2: I gotta come off the bench.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Mercedes
- 0:14Speaker 1: Benz So Baton Rouge Studio starts now.
- 0:34Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in our number two of TB
- 0:38Speaker 3: one O four five ESPN Baton Rouge, and it is
- 0:41Speaker 3: now time for the nineteenth right team on the oh
- 0:44Speaker 3: TB Top twenty five.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Let's get a quick recap here.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Coming in at number twenty five, it is Boise State,
- 0:51Speaker 3: the Broncos at number twenty four, the Memphis Tigers at
- 0:55Speaker 3: number twenty three, the Baylor Bears at number twenty two,
- 0:58Speaker 3: the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at twenty one, the Tennessee Volunteers,
- 1:02Speaker 3: and at number twenty the Iowa State Cyclones. And now
- 1:07Speaker 3: it is Matthew Clayton Lin.
- 1:12Speaker 5: Let's turn for the listeners all around the world, all
- 1:15Speaker 5: around the globe, the much anticipated drop of the nineteenth
- 1:21Speaker 5: ranked team and the OTV Top twenty five preseason poll.
- 1:27Speaker 5: We're gonna keep it with a school that has traditions
- 1:30Speaker 5: like no others. They are a team that inspires. They
- 1:37Speaker 5: are a team that likes to get together and just
- 1:40Speaker 5: yell at midnight before games. So we're gonna keep it
- 1:43Speaker 5: within the great state of Texas. I went to Waco
- 1:46Speaker 5: last week for the twenty third ranked team, Taylor Bears.
- 1:50Speaker 5: We're gonna keep it in the lone star state in
- 1:54Speaker 5: the SEC number nineteen.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Texas A and M.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Uh sounded way too, way too natural for you, Bud,
- 2:09Speaker 3: I don't like it.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Actually, did you know?
- 2:11Speaker 5: There's a tradition on campus that if the I can't
- 2:13Speaker 5: remember the name of the dog, it's a collige of
- 2:16Speaker 5: a Yeah, if he if he goes into your classroom smoke, Wait,
- 2:24Speaker 5: what if he goes into your classroom during the day?
- 2:28Speaker 5: Is that he even barks? If she barks in class?
- 2:33Speaker 5: That's what I said, doesn't sure.
- 2:38Speaker 6: Texas A and M fans.
- 2:40Speaker 7: Texas A and M fans would be ones to get
- 2:42Speaker 7: mad about that.
- 2:43Speaker 5: In offense, they would be, uh, yeah, if he she
- 2:48Speaker 5: barks in your classroom and you're dismissed, you got to
- 2:51Speaker 5: go home.
- 2:51Speaker 2: So it's not a big deal. Yeah, I didn't know
- 2:54Speaker 2: this Home of the twelfth Man.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Only the things I know about Texas A and M
- 2:58Speaker 3: or Dan Campbell, Billy Luchon.
- 3:01Speaker 5: But the twelfth Man is a pretty cool I think
- 3:03Speaker 5: we can all agree it's a pretty cool tradition. If
- 3:05Speaker 5: you don't know about it, I don't even know if
- 3:06Speaker 5: they really still do it. I think it started back
- 3:09Speaker 5: in war times, back.
- 3:11Speaker 4: In the time, like having a player wear twelve.
- 3:13Speaker 5: Yeah, so you said, yeah, they would have all yo
- 3:16Speaker 5: as a walk on things. So you tried out for
- 3:17Speaker 5: the twelfth Man. It was a guy that like May
- 3:19Speaker 5: sometimes I didn't Eve play football, played high school fotball.
- 3:21Speaker 5: But it was a tradition that started like back in
- 3:23Speaker 5: the war with a lot of people were deployed and
- 3:24Speaker 5: fighting for a country. Blah blah blah. But a really
- 3:27Speaker 5: cool tradition then. But that's not why they're nineteen. They're
- 3:29Speaker 5: nineteenth because I think they're pretty darn good this year.
- 3:33Speaker 5: They got a lot of talent. Of course, they have
- 3:36Speaker 5: the goat strength coach mister Tommy Moffett.
- 3:41Speaker 2: They got a really good defense this year. Yeah, they
- 3:44Speaker 2: are very hydrated.
- 3:45Speaker 5: I believe that Marcel Reid has a potential to be good.
- 3:51Speaker 5: Like the guys from tech SAgs at SEC Media Day
- 3:53Speaker 5: really talking up, talking them up, and they're spring trainings
- 3:57Speaker 5: and things like that, So I don't know. We've seen obviously,
- 4:00Speaker 5: we saw him do a lot of damage against LSU
- 4:04Speaker 5: as a change up coming in the second half. Le'Veon
- 4:07Speaker 5: mos one of the best running backs in the SEC.
- 4:12Speaker 4: If he's healthy, he could be a first team type guy.
- 4:14Speaker 3: I mean, we've seen him. He's from Ben Rouge. I've
- 4:16Speaker 3: seen him do it for a long time. Hell's going
- 4:19Speaker 3: to be, you know, obviously an issue for him. Probably
- 4:22Speaker 3: their strongest position group room though, is running back with
- 4:24Speaker 3: Moss Owens Daniels.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Uh, They've got E J. Smith that is Emmi Smith's son.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Yeah, so they're pretty they're they're locked at that position.
- 4:33Speaker 5: And I do remember I remember maffitt say talking to
- 4:36Speaker 5: him and he's like, because they've they've recruited really well
- 4:39Speaker 5: at Texas, especially on the defense, and he's like, man,
- 4:41Speaker 5: they just got some really talented, big, fast, strong folks
- 4:45Speaker 5: on the defensive side of the ball.
- 4:46Speaker 2: So they're going to be a strong defense.
- 4:48Speaker 5: And you know they're gonna they're nineteenth there and no
- 4:50Speaker 5: we're in the SEC, and they're going to be a
- 4:52Speaker 5: tough out, especially if Marcel Reid can take a next
- 4:55Speaker 5: steps as a passer, it's yeah, they're going to be
- 5:00Speaker 5: a very dangerous team. So that's that's going to be.
- 5:03Speaker 5: To me, the key focal point. Mike Elco He's I
- 5:08Speaker 5: think he's probably a pretty pretty darn good coach. So yeah, yeah,
- 5:12Speaker 5: we'll see, We'll see what happens with them. That's why
- 5:14Speaker 5: of the nineteenth because they have the potential, yeah, and
- 5:17Speaker 5: the talent and especially if Marcel Reid does improve as
- 5:20Speaker 5: a passer to you know, at the end of the year,
- 5:23Speaker 5: maybe be ranked higher than that.
- 5:26Speaker 3: One name to pay attention to for SEC fans that
- 5:29Speaker 3: are going to be watching Texas A and M and
- 5:32Speaker 3: maybe you don't watch another conference. Casey concept you on
- 5:35Speaker 3: coming over from n C State. He is a baller.
- 5:38Speaker 3: He is somebody that is a jack of all trades.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Like whatever you need him to do, he can do it.
- 5:44Speaker 3: At NC State, he lined up in the backfield, he
- 5:46Speaker 3: lined up wildcat quarterback, he lined up in the slot outside.
- 5:49Speaker 4: He is all over the place.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Now, he got hurt last year, so he didn't have
- 5:53Speaker 3: the year that he had the year before. But he
- 5:55Speaker 3: was on the All Meathead team a year ago. He
- 5:58Speaker 3: was our all purpose offensive play. He is somebody that
- 6:02Speaker 3: can really be a mismatch for you if you put
- 6:05Speaker 3: him in the right spots. So you're gonna know his name,
- 6:08Speaker 3: and if he stays healthy, he's gonna be a big weapon.
- 6:10Speaker 3: He's not gonna be there like you know, go to
- 6:12Speaker 3: leading receiver that's gonna look like a Sunday player. He's
- 6:16Speaker 3: just that guy that is so annoying because anytime you
- 6:19Speaker 3: think you have him stopped, they're gonna come up with something.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Get him the football and he's going to convert it
- 6:23Speaker 3: into a first down. So Casey concept you on certainly
- 6:26Speaker 3: a name to pay attention to. When it comes to
- 6:29Speaker 3: the Aggies, there big trip for them and taity, I
- 6:33Speaker 3: know you've got thoughts on the Aggies, but a big
- 6:35Speaker 3: trip for them. It's wild that they play in the SEC,
- 6:39Speaker 3: but their first three SEC games are all at home.
- 6:42Speaker 3: I don't think an SEC game is the most important
- 6:44Speaker 3: game on their schedule. I think going to Notre Dame
- 6:49Speaker 3: is their most important game because if you win that,
- 6:52Speaker 3: knowing you have three home games to start off your
- 6:56Speaker 3: SEC slate, that can really get you going in the
- 6:59Speaker 3: right direction.
- 7:00Speaker 4: The momentum for that could be huge for the Aggies.
- 7:03Speaker 4: When you look at their most difficult games.
- 7:05Speaker 3: I think you have to go on the road to Missouri,
- 7:07Speaker 3: you have to come to LSU. That is going to
- 7:10Speaker 3: be probably the toughest part of their schedule. But as
- 7:13Speaker 3: far as SEC schedules go, you like the way they
- 7:17Speaker 3: get it started, certainly so that Notre Dame game feels
- 7:19Speaker 3: like a massive one.
- 7:20Speaker 7: I mean, just look at how those two team seasons win.
- 7:24Speaker 7: A year ago, Notre Dame came to Kyle Field, they
- 7:26Speaker 7: won that game. Notre Dame made the College Football Playoff
- 7:29Speaker 7: like Texas A and M, if things fall their way,
- 7:32Speaker 7: do I think they're going to They're probably gonna go
- 7:34Speaker 7: eight and four, but they have the potential to do it.
- 7:37Speaker 7: This team, like you mentioned Auburn, Mississippi State, Florida all
- 7:41Speaker 7: at home, you could win and probably will be favored
- 7:44Speaker 7: in all three of those games. Arkansas on the road
- 7:47Speaker 7: your favored there, Like you could potentially be seven and
- 7:51Speaker 7: oh coming to baton Rudge October twenty fifth.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Like that.
- 7:55Speaker 7: That's the type of season Texas A and M could
- 7:57Speaker 7: have and you split the rest of your games. You're
- 8:00Speaker 7: nine and three.
- 8:04Speaker 3: What are you laughing at?
- 8:07Speaker 5: You're talking about the A and M mascot Revelly, she
- 8:11Speaker 5: barks in your classroom, you get dismissed, and somebody in
- 8:14Speaker 5: the chat said, what happens at TCU? Quarterback Josh Huper
- 8:17Speaker 5: barks class.
- 8:23Speaker 8: Real quick.
- 8:24Speaker 9: I just got a message from a listener, Adam Cheney.
- 8:27Speaker 9: He says, I'm still trying to figure out how to
- 8:29Speaker 9: enter the chat.
- 8:30Speaker 8: Lol. I have a lot I would like.
- 8:32Speaker 9: To say, slash interact with my fellow meatheads about Oh,
- 8:35Speaker 9: mark words, he says, mark my words, this is.
- 8:38Speaker 8: Going to be a special season. Wait, I had to
- 8:41Speaker 8: restart the special season.
- 8:43Speaker 9: Everything around this program has a different look, vibe, and
- 8:46Speaker 9: feel about it. Not saying it will be the equivalent,
- 8:49Speaker 9: but feels a lot like the twenty nineteen team's mindset,
- 8:53Speaker 9: with even deeper talent on both sides of the ball.
- 8:57Speaker 9: Adam shout out, thank you for using the speak up
- 9:00Speaker 9: feature on our app.
- 9:02Speaker 8: Literally, just go to YouTube and we're live, and then
- 9:05Speaker 8: the chat just pops up. It's like you.
- 9:08Speaker 4: Just type in one of four five ESPN and then
- 9:10Speaker 4: you'll see.
- 9:10Speaker 5: If you want to type you if you want to
- 9:11Speaker 5: like participate, you have to sign up, have.
- 9:16Speaker 8: A YouTube account.
- 9:17Speaker 7: Yeah, you also have to subscribe to one of four.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of steps.
- 9:25Speaker 4: You can do it, though, I believe in you, Adam.
- 9:27Speaker 5: So to wrap up this nineteen thing, if you're an
- 9:29Speaker 5: A and M fan out there and you're listening, a
- 9:32Speaker 5: lot to be hopeful for, a lot to be excited
- 9:34Speaker 5: about potential all around you. So if you're a fan,
- 9:38Speaker 5: put on your onesie white body jumpsuit, short sleeve, roll
- 9:44Speaker 5: up the sleeves even higher, put your thumb up or
- 9:49Speaker 5: put your hands on your hips and yell woo a
- 9:51Speaker 5: lot and do quarter push ups every time your team scores.
- 9:56Speaker 3: And then.
- 9:58Speaker 4: Get carried into a fountain.
- 10:00Speaker 5: And then get buried in the fountain. And maybe once
- 10:02Speaker 5: or twice a year you wear dumb little overalls and
- 10:07Speaker 5: make terrible jokes. Oh so bad.
- 10:11Speaker 4: I feel like we have.
- 10:12Speaker 3: We haven't made fun of that portion of it to
- 10:15Speaker 3: Moffitt enough yet, probably because in the back of our
- 10:18Speaker 3: mind we're still a little nervous that he'll make us
- 10:20Speaker 3: run one tens.
- 10:21Speaker 2: If we do.
- 10:22Speaker 5: Yeah, Oh, I've also forget put a towel in your
- 10:24Speaker 5: back pocket as well. Look, we make that's an important
- 10:28Speaker 5: part of the universe. We make fun of the fountain.
- 10:30Speaker 7: Worst part about Texas A and M that's actually cooler
- 10:33Speaker 7: than their baseball tradition of blowing bubbles after every win.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Mmm, you know, tradition is a great thing.
- 10:42Speaker 6: Bubbles is bad.
- 10:43Speaker 5: Tradition is a great thing. That's what makes college football great.
- 10:47Speaker 5: And making fun of them is a tradition like none other.
- 10:50Speaker 3: I was gonna say, where are you going with this?
- 10:52Speaker 2: All right?
- 10:52Speaker 3: I didn't know, you know, since they're so hydrated, I
- 10:54Speaker 3: didn't know if you were nervous to do so you
- 10:56Speaker 3: ever see the one that go I don't know a
- 11:00Speaker 3: lot about it. I'm serious. I went to camp, so
- 11:03Speaker 3: I would go to the football camp campbells Out.
- 11:05Speaker 5: I would go to the football camps in the summer
- 11:07Speaker 5: like like you do, like you I was in Texas.
- 11:09Speaker 5: I would go to the Baylor, the and M the Texas.
- 11:11Speaker 5: I'd go to all those football camps in middle school
- 11:13Speaker 5: and high school. And yeah, I think in multiple of
- 11:16Speaker 5: the camps at A and M, like they'd have the
- 11:18Speaker 5: yell leaders come and like talk through the aggy traditions
- 11:22Speaker 5: and like what all their yells are about?
- 11:24Speaker 10: And I was.
- 11:26Speaker 2: I remember, like as an eighth grader thinking like this
- 11:29Speaker 2: is dumb.
- 11:33Speaker 3: I don't think you had to be in eighth grade
- 11:34Speaker 3: to know that, but I'm glad you realized it before
- 11:36Speaker 3: it's too late.
- 11:37Speaker 5: Even at that age, you're very impressionable. Second, I mean
- 11:42Speaker 5: you did think puka shells are cool. Still are, but
- 11:45Speaker 5: even at that time, I thought that the yell leaders
- 11:47Speaker 5: were not.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Yeah, pukashell hates to see me coming well each tips.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a great idea.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Anybody, anybody got any son in we'll do it right now.
- 12:02Speaker 4: All right, when we come back.
- 12:04Speaker 3: There is a player on LSU's defense that is going
- 12:07Speaker 3: to be as important as any player in the country
- 12:10Speaker 3: to one side of the ball for his team, and
- 12:11Speaker 3: we're going to break down that player. I know Tatay's
- 12:14Speaker 3: got thoughts on this player as well, and we'll do
- 12:16Speaker 3: it when we jump back here on OTB top the bench. Sonning,
- 12:21Speaker 3: you just get it and you just spray it and
- 12:23Speaker 3: it turns your heir orange. All right, go do pelicanroof
- 12:27Speaker 3: dot com. That is the website for Repelican Roofing, and
- 12:30Speaker 3: it truly is the best of the best.

- 13:58Speaker 1: This is off the Bench with Esther and Flynn, Baton
- 14:01Speaker 1: rougees go to for all things Louisiana sports.
- 14:08Speaker 4: This reminds me Little Ridgewood Middle School.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Whatever dance it was might have been Sadie Hawkins, might
- 14:16Speaker 3: have just been the fall dance, the initial fall dance.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Going to middle school for the first time, you didn't have,
- 14:23Speaker 3: you know, dances, school dances in elementary school. Little Brandy
- 14:27Speaker 3: and Monk are playing. Now nobody's dancing because the boys
- 14:31Speaker 3: are in this corner, the girls are in that corner.
- 14:34Speaker 3: There was great intention to get into the middle and
- 14:37Speaker 3: start dancing, except for that one. I just needed one person.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Except for that one couple that was going out.
- 14:44Speaker 4: Even that though, even that was like out with her?
- 14:47Speaker 3: Yeah, you waited till maybe, Like where.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Y'all going out? There? Nowhere? Dude, my girlfriend? Did you
- 14:52Speaker 2: ever see her?
- 14:55Speaker 3: See her?
- 14:57Speaker 2: Oh?
- 14:58Speaker 3: Girlfriend?
- 14:58Speaker 10: Though?
- 14:59Speaker 2: History cl out her hand? M will do you go
- 15:07Speaker 2: out with me? Yes? No? Maybe check a box and
- 15:10Speaker 2: what if they hit the maybe? Though?
- 15:12Speaker 3: What's that mean? It's complicated, got options and you're one
- 15:17Speaker 3: of them, but you're not the only one.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Yep, in different area?
- 15:21Speaker 3: Could oh really tell me Morelda?
- 15:28Speaker 2: I mean, it was on those ale chat rims asl
- 15:31Speaker 2: and everywhere.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Uh screen name real quick before we get to uh
- 15:34Speaker 3: this LSU defensive player screen name on AOL messenger, I
- 15:39Speaker 3: already told you I forget though deep ball eleven, deep
- 15:43Speaker 3: ball eleven?
- 15:48Speaker 2: What is it? We our two? Yeah?
- 15:51Speaker 3: Are you talking about throwing the football? Person that complained
- 15:54Speaker 3: about us?
- 15:54Speaker 2: I was a quarterback.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Quarterback deep vice wi its singular, not plural, throw the football.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why it is in that order as well.
- 16:07Speaker 2: But flipping the two.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Words is whoa Okay, alright, alright.
- 16:12Speaker 5: But at the time, like I was, I think I
- 16:15Speaker 5: was seventh eighth grade, and I was like, that's every
- 16:17Speaker 5: time I wantch priactice.
- 16:18Speaker 2: I was like, hey, let's throw the de ball, Let's go.
- 16:20Speaker 9: What was it?
- 16:22Speaker 2: All right?
- 16:23Speaker 3: It's not school, it's freight thirteen train. But actually it
- 16:26Speaker 3: is kind of cool.
- 16:28Speaker 2: That's kind of cool. Freak thirteen train.
- 16:30Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 16:32Speaker 2: All right.
- 16:32Speaker 3: So there is a player on LSU's defense that could
- 16:36Speaker 3: be as important as any player in the country to
- 16:38Speaker 3: his team, certainly defensively. Field Still Magazine, the Great field Still,
- 16:43Speaker 3: where you can find the all Meatthead team on page
- 16:46Speaker 3: number three as well, ranks this player as the top
- 16:51Speaker 3: outside linebacker for the twenty twenty six NFL Draft. Surprise,
- 16:56Speaker 3: surprise that player. Nope, not Lance Harbor. It is Harold Perkins,
- 17:01Speaker 3: number one on the list. Now, he is somebody that
- 17:06Speaker 3: we've talked more about than maybe any defensive player over
- 17:10Speaker 3: the last ten years. Freshman year, we know what it was.
- 17:14Speaker 3: He took over games. He won, you the Arkansas game
- 17:17Speaker 3: like single Handley won the Arkansas game. He had, you know,
- 17:20Speaker 3: four sacks, force fumble like he did everything. The offense
- 17:23Speaker 3: didn't do anything, and Perk made up for it. We
- 17:27Speaker 3: all remember him spying Bryce Young. Bryce Young used to
- 17:30Speaker 3: have that little stutter step move. They got every linebacker
- 17:32Speaker 3: in the country. Perk laughed at it, tracked him down
- 17:36Speaker 3: tackle for loss. He was a man possessed. Now we've
- 17:39Speaker 3: also talked about his position. He can't live on the edge.
- 17:43Speaker 3: He just it's it's not what he's built to do. Now.
- 17:47Speaker 3: He can, he can dabble, he can you know, he
- 17:49Speaker 3: can line up there every once in a while. It's
- 17:51Speaker 3: a great change of pace. But you know, talking with
- 17:53Speaker 3: Jimbo Fisher, who was the head coach at A and M,
- 17:55Speaker 3: He's like, look at Perk lived on the edge of
- 17:58Speaker 3: that year, and we're like, okay, well he's a really
- 17:59Speaker 3: good player, but he's two hundred and twenty pounds. We're
- 18:02Speaker 3: going to game plan to run at a two hundred
- 18:04Speaker 3: and twenty pound player where we have a combo block
- 18:06Speaker 3: with a tight end and a tackle. So that's what
- 18:09Speaker 3: teams were doing. It's not, you know, sliding Perkins at all.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Perkins is an incredible player. I think he's gonna play
- 18:15Speaker 3: a long time on Sundays. It's finding the right spot,
- 18:20Speaker 3: play a little stack linebacker right that position. It's not
- 18:23Speaker 3: all about how big, fast and strong you are. Right
- 18:27Speaker 3: there's things like reading guards and reading running backs and
- 18:31Speaker 3: like that. If you haven't done it your whole life,
- 18:33Speaker 3: it can be difficult. I think the star position, which
- 18:36Speaker 3: is a nickel sam in this defense, is perfect for him.
- 18:40Speaker 3: I think he has great coverage skills. You look at
- 18:42Speaker 3: the Pro Football Focus grades. He's always his entire career
- 18:46Speaker 3: had great coverage numbers. Grades. You can still and Matt
- 18:50Speaker 3: you know this, Like when you rush a nickel off
- 18:52Speaker 3: the edge, he can be disruptive. And think about a
- 18:56Speaker 3: running back having to come across the formation to block
- 19:00Speaker 3: a full speed Harold Perkins, like that is a scary
- 19:02Speaker 3: thought for a running back. As far as setting the edge.
- 19:06Speaker 3: That's gonna have to be something that like you're gonna
- 19:08Speaker 3: have your edge defender as well, but like he's gonna
- 19:10Speaker 3: be able to be a little bit more free because
- 19:12Speaker 3: he's not gonna be that edge defender, right, He's gonna
- 19:15Speaker 3: be able to set the edge coming downhill. I love
- 19:17Speaker 3: the move for him. LSU has to have him be
- 19:20Speaker 3: a dog. He has to be a version of what
- 19:23Speaker 3: we saw him be his freshman year, and we have
- 19:27Speaker 3: to remember, even if it doesn't show up in sacks,
- 19:30Speaker 3: he is a player that can help them in coverage,
- 19:33Speaker 3: in the run game and also getting after the quarterback.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I am.
- 19:41Speaker 5: Harold Perkins has been this puzzle for defensive coordinators defensive
- 19:47Speaker 5: coaches to figure out where his piece fits. Because when
- 19:52Speaker 5: it fits, it's incredible. When it doesn't fit, it doesn't
- 19:57Speaker 5: stick out. That's that's with any position and trying to
- 20:03Speaker 5: find it's the coaching job to find the timing and
- 20:05Speaker 5: how to use talent. And my god, does this guy
- 20:08Speaker 5: have talent just oozing out of him right? And it
- 20:12Speaker 5: just kind of like body type size puts him as
- 20:17Speaker 5: this kind of tweener guy.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Like what do we do? How do we get the
- 20:20Speaker 2: most out of him.
- 20:21Speaker 5: I don't agree that the star Nicol Sam is the
- 20:24Speaker 5: place for him every down and distance. Maybe first down,
- 20:28Speaker 5: maybe second down.
- 20:28Speaker 4: He'll move to the edge some for sure, But you're.
- 20:31Speaker 5: Also doing a disservice to something that he has proved
- 20:36Speaker 5: as a freshman that he can be a lead at,
- 20:38Speaker 5: which is spying the quarterback. You can't do that as
- 20:41Speaker 5: from Nichol Sam. You can't do that from defensive end
- 20:44Speaker 5: as much. So it's up to Blake Baker in the
- 20:47Speaker 5: defensive stats to figure out how to utilize him with that.
- 20:50Speaker 5: Because this year you're gonna have to have it. You're
- 20:52Speaker 5: gonna have to have it Game one. You're gonna have
- 20:55Speaker 5: to have it. You have to have Harold Perkins stalking
- 20:59Speaker 5: Clay k club Day. Would you would he got four
- 21:05Speaker 5: or five quarterbacks that he is gonna be a key
- 21:08Speaker 5: factor and he doesn't do at Nicol Sam like you're
- 21:12Speaker 5: gonna got is Like, you can't do that at Nicol Sam.
- 21:16Speaker 5: So and in third down passing situations, he doesn't need
- 21:21Speaker 5: to play Nickel Sam. Yeah, Okay, he's serviceable in coverage,
- 21:25Speaker 5: he's good, he's he's a good athlete. Nah, he needs
- 21:28Speaker 5: to he needs to be putting a move on a
- 21:30Speaker 5: on a tackle. He needs to be putting a move
- 21:32Speaker 5: on a tight end staying in like I get, I
- 21:34Speaker 5: get the theory of like, yeah, put it'd be really
- 21:37Speaker 5: cool to see him coming off the edge and like
- 21:38Speaker 5: being lined up one on one with the back. Yeah,
- 21:40Speaker 5: that'd be cool because he's gonna win that battle. But
- 21:44Speaker 5: I think from a play and playout situation, he needs
- 21:48Speaker 5: to be attacking the quarterback on passing situations or in
- 21:52Speaker 5: a lot of these games that we're gonna need it
- 21:54Speaker 5: spying the quarterback. You can find a lot of serviceable
- 21:57Speaker 5: guys that can line up in coverage, but to do
- 22:00Speaker 5: have his his his his skill set is rare.
- 22:03Speaker 3: No, I agree with you. But here here's the question,
- 22:06Speaker 3: and kind of the devil's advocate, I'll throw back at you.
- 22:09Speaker 3: What Weeks is pre damn athletic too, And I think
- 22:12Speaker 3: he can also be a quarterback spy. So if you
- 22:15Speaker 3: were the defensive coordinator, knowing you have two guys that
- 22:18Speaker 3: can do it, don't you have to come up with
- 22:21Speaker 3: a game plan that's going to feature both of those guys.
- 22:23Speaker 3: So you don't know, hey, this is going to be
- 22:24Speaker 3: the quarterback spy and you can be really creative, and
- 22:27Speaker 3: then it puts a lot of pressure on whatever linebackers
- 22:30Speaker 3: next to what weeks because then you've got some things
- 22:32Speaker 3: that you've got to do. You're can have more space,
- 22:35Speaker 3: and that could be West weeks, it could be divine keys.
- 22:37Speaker 3: But the fact that you do have two guys that
- 22:39Speaker 3: can do it, don't you need to be able to
- 22:42Speaker 3: utilize that to your advantage as well.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's.
- 22:45Speaker 5: Certainly a luxury to haven't and you have two guys
- 22:47Speaker 5: that can do I mean, we're calling it a spy.
- 22:49Speaker 5: Like sometimes it's not like actually declared a spy. It's
- 22:53Speaker 5: just a guy's told to all right, you have you
- 22:55Speaker 5: have you're the hook player here, you're the curl flat,
- 22:58Speaker 5: you're the curl player here. Whatever it is as a linebacker,
- 23:01Speaker 5: like inside zone defensive terminology, like sometimes it's like, all right,
- 23:06Speaker 5: let's speak faster to react to a quarterback this time.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Maybe it's not.
- 23:09Speaker 5: Maybe sometimes sometimes it is a spine like Harrold Perkers,
- 23:11Speaker 5: like as a legit spy Verse Price Young, but it.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Is it is like it is electory to happen old.
- 23:17Speaker 3: In the next year. I just said, nah, it's not
- 23:18Speaker 3: a good idea against it.
- 23:20Speaker 5: It's just like I sell with you fans, we're pulling
- 23:22Speaker 5: our hair out sometimes we're watching the defense out there
- 23:25Speaker 5: because you got a quarterback scrambling around for thirteen seconds
- 23:29Speaker 5: and then he makes the first down runs for twelve
- 23:30Speaker 5: yards on left side of the field, and you got
- 23:33Speaker 5: Harold Perkins covering the curl flat on the right side
- 23:36Speaker 5: of the field.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Like, what are we doing?
- 23:38Speaker 4: He didn't to be carl flat.
- 23:39Speaker 5: He doesn't need to be doing the curl flat on
- 23:41Speaker 5: the far side of the field that quarterbacks are running around.
- 23:44Speaker 3: For twelve So I agree. I agree there's gonna be
- 23:46Speaker 3: certain game plans, and again I do think like the
- 23:48Speaker 3: star position as far as where he's going to live
- 23:50Speaker 3: on first and second down.
- 23:51Speaker 4: I like that position for him.
- 23:53Speaker 3: But I also agree with you, and it's a great
- 23:55Speaker 3: point that if you're playing one of these quarterbacks and
- 23:58Speaker 3: you're gonna play multiple guys, Kay Klutman, we talked about it.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Over five hundred rushing yards, Diego Pavia can change a
- 24:04Speaker 3: game and his is not gonna be design quarterback runs.
- 24:07Speaker 3: I think it's even more important against a guy like that.
- 24:10Speaker 3: I think I thought wit weeks that are really notice
- 24:11Speaker 3: shobbled on him a year ago old Miss Arkansas. Remember
- 24:15Speaker 3: how good wit was last year against Arkansas and Taylor Green, Like,
- 24:18Speaker 3: you have multiple guys that can do it, but you
- 24:20Speaker 3: have to be better against elite running quarterbacks. And I
- 24:24Speaker 3: think you're gonna face some You might not face the
- 24:26Speaker 3: athletic ability of a Jayla Millroe on this schedule, because
- 24:29Speaker 3: like that was his strongest suit, that he's a track guy.
- 24:32Speaker 4: We saw how that went. But you're gonna face face
- 24:35Speaker 4: a lot.
- 24:35Speaker 3: You're gonna face more of them, Yes, you face in
- 24:38Speaker 3: the totality of the schedule. I think it's gonna be
- 24:40Speaker 3: more of a five good ones.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Mattier at Oklahoma, Oh yeah, I mean he rushed for
- 24:48Speaker 3: I think four hundred plus yards a year ago. If
- 24:51Speaker 3: I'm not hell, Actually I think it was a lot more.
- 24:53Speaker 3: I think he was like closer to seven hundred or something.
- 24:57Speaker 4: I mean, this is somebody.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Again like John Mitchier's gonna have design quarterback runs, but
- 25:04Speaker 3: also like he's gonna have some improv and he's gonna
- 25:07Speaker 3: like Sady and Diego Pavia.
- 25:09Speaker 4: So that position, whoever that ends up being, is going
- 25:13Speaker 4: to be as important as anybody.
- 25:15Speaker 5: And what you said you said about interviewing Jimbo Fisher
- 25:18Speaker 5: years ago, Like they're like, all right, well, yeah, he's
- 25:20Speaker 5: a great player, great rusher, but let's just run right
- 25:22Speaker 5: out of him, because I guys, a younger player just
- 25:23Speaker 5: didn't have to ask for right, Like he's just skinny fast.
- 25:27Speaker 5: I mean he's nineteen twenty years old.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know his measurables right now, but.
- 25:33Speaker 4: Your head eight hundred and twenty six yards okay.
- 25:35Speaker 6: With sex fifteen touchdowns on the ground.
- 25:39Speaker 3: I think it was a big number. I didn't know
- 25:40Speaker 3: was that eight twenty six Yeah.
- 25:43Speaker 5: Like I'm Harold's passing the eyeball test. I don't know
- 25:47Speaker 5: what his measurables are compared to years before. Yeah, but
- 25:49Speaker 5: he looks like got a little bit more muscle, got
- 25:53Speaker 5: a little bit bigger, like I we'll see, we'll see.
- 25:55Speaker 2: What happens with that.
- 25:56Speaker 5: But but earlier in his days, yeah, you could just
- 25:58Speaker 5: line up if he was playing that defensive end hand
- 26:00Speaker 5: in the dirty, you could run around at him.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Yeah, but I don't know.
- 26:03Speaker 5: I think that will probably change as he continues to
- 26:06Speaker 5: progress in his career.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Again, one of the things, like, if you're having this conversation,
- 26:10Speaker 3: we're talking about, you know, spying a quarterback, making sure
- 26:12Speaker 3: the running quarterback doesn't go off on you. Again, Like, yes,
- 26:16Speaker 3: Harold Perkins is going to be very important. What weeks
- 26:19Speaker 3: is going to be very important because they're going to
- 26:20Speaker 3: be a sign to said quarterback. But also you have
- 26:23Speaker 3: to remember Devine Keys and West Weeks. Like whoever that
- 26:28Speaker 3: linebacker that you know gets left on the island, he's
- 26:31Speaker 3: used to having a pot in the next to him.
- 26:34Speaker 3: It's kind of like we always talk about, like when
- 26:35Speaker 3: you play tackle, you're on an island. We play guard.
- 26:38Speaker 3: You got some bodyguards, so that player it's it's a
- 26:41Speaker 3: trickle down effect like this. You talk about the totality
- 26:44Speaker 3: of a defense or an offense or whatever it might be.
- 26:47Speaker 3: And I'm excited about Devine Keys. Nobody's talked about him
- 26:51Speaker 3: in training camp. I haven't heard this show any show
- 26:55Speaker 3: talk about Devine Keys. But if you have a five
- 26:57Speaker 3: minute conversation with Blake Baker, he's going to bring up
- 27:00Speaker 3: de Vine Keys in the first two minutes. I think
- 27:03Speaker 3: we all forget how good he was a year ago
- 27:06Speaker 3: as a freshman. I mean he had big play after
- 27:09Speaker 3: big play. I mean you go back and you watch
- 27:12Speaker 3: the latter portion of the season, even in a game
- 27:15Speaker 3: against Florida and a loss, like he played really well
- 27:18Speaker 3: in that game. So like, that's a player that if
- 27:21Speaker 3: you're gonna do all these things that we talk about
- 27:23Speaker 3: with all these X factors in Weeks and Perkins, the
- 27:26Speaker 3: vine Keys and again Wes Week's gonna play as well,
- 27:29Speaker 3: They're gonna be as important as anybody to make sure
- 27:31Speaker 3: that you're able to do all the things we're talking about.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that.
- 27:39Speaker 5: The more we we just kind of dive into the personnel,
- 27:43Speaker 5: the more that what I'm hearing and what we're all
- 27:46Speaker 5: saying is this is by far going to be the
- 27:49Speaker 5: best defense that we've had in the Brian Killer.
- 27:51Speaker 3: So William said, well, Jacob, Jacob sounds weird. Maybe you
- 27:59Speaker 3: should give your on hyping him up. I know, but
- 28:01Speaker 3: nobody ever calls me that I got you, Willie. I'll
- 28:05Speaker 3: start that the vine Keys, let's go defense player of
- 28:08Speaker 3: the Year didn't say that he's really good and he
- 28:11Speaker 3: played really well as a freshman, and the deft coordinator
- 28:14Speaker 3: loves him. He is going to have a role on
- 28:16Speaker 3: this team. That might be the first time that anybody's mentioned.
- 28:19Speaker 3: And he played a lot last year he was. He
- 28:22Speaker 3: actually started at Star last year, like at the back
- 28:25Speaker 3: end of the season. They put him in that role.
- 28:28Speaker 5: So how many yurs you'll say, John met your head
- 28:30Speaker 5: rushing over eight hundred, I'm re reading eight and fifty seven.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Yep, pretty good. Eight fifty seventy. Don't include the sacks,
- 28:39Speaker 2: so to say.
- 28:42Speaker 3: And again he's going to do it both ways. Design
- 28:44Speaker 3: quarterback runs and also just off the cuff there play
- 28:47Speaker 3: breaks down. He so real quick.
- 28:53Speaker 4: He was so good at Wazoo.
- 28:54Speaker 3: But he had cam Ward, who was the number one
- 28:55Speaker 3: pick in front of him that they did create that
- 28:58Speaker 3: package that I talked about where he was in the
- 29:00Speaker 3: backfield with cam Ward and they would hand the ball
- 29:02Speaker 3: off to him and he would throw it.
- 29:04Speaker 4: They would fake it and you know, let him get
- 29:07Speaker 4: into the flats and they throw it to him. They
- 29:10Speaker 4: would They had one.
- 29:10Speaker 3: Play where he's a running back, kim Ward catches it,
- 29:15Speaker 3: kind of wraps around and John Mattia would try to
- 29:17Speaker 3: throw it to cam Ward. I mean, they he was
- 29:20Speaker 3: a talent that they knew even though they had the
- 29:22Speaker 3: future number one overall pick, they had to integrate into
- 29:24Speaker 3: the game plan. And he's athletic enough to go back
- 29:27Speaker 3: there and do things like that. That's what we're talking about.
- 29:30Speaker 3: You might not have a Jaln Milroe, but you got
- 29:33Speaker 3: five dudes that can go out there and beat you
- 29:35Speaker 3: with their legs.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:39Speaker 5: John Mattier is like this, Like we know him because
- 29:42Speaker 5: he played and we just like you looked slated it
- 29:45Speaker 5: all out.
- 29:45Speaker 2: He was behind cam.
- 29:46Speaker 5: Ward and he's this guy that could end up being
- 29:50Speaker 5: real scary, could has the potential to. Now he might
- 29:54Speaker 5: just kind of he might just be a serviceable, good,
- 29:57Speaker 5: dangerous player that plays well, you know, eighty percent times.
- 30:00Speaker 5: It has some bad games, but he's got the talent
- 30:03Speaker 5: and the skill set. If Venables and the crew can
- 30:08Speaker 5: figure out how to call a good offense, yeah, which
- 30:12Speaker 5: they could not do a year ago. Their offense was
- 30:16Speaker 5: objectively bad. So it's which is weird for an Oklahoma
- 30:21Speaker 5: Sooner fanbase. I'm sure to have a not very good
- 30:24Speaker 5: offense and be at the bottom of the of the.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Two Heisman Trophy quarterbacks and a runner up like in
- 30:31Speaker 3: a four year span.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Yeah, and overall be at the bottom of your conference.
- 30:35Speaker 5: So I think if they can utilize it and he
- 30:38Speaker 5: can carry over and the hype train is real with him,
- 30:42Speaker 5: he's got a chance to be pretty scary in this league.
- 30:44Speaker 4: All right, we will take a break.
- 30:46Speaker 3: It is football season, training camp pads, preseason games coming up.
- 30:54Speaker 4: Certainly want to get to some New Orleans Saints talk.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Got some good news? Wait, did I here?
- 31:01Speaker 4: Let's give you here over there from the Yeah.
- 31:06Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know if the listeners heard it,
- 31:09Speaker 3: but I can. I can appreciate the fact that I
- 31:11Speaker 3: heard it with the headphones on. I get it.
- 31:15Speaker 4: I get it, I get it. I mean it's a thirty.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Second ran.
- 31:22Speaker 8: Right pack right.
- 31:24Speaker 9: There you go.
- 31:25Speaker 4: Yeah, she's excited, excited.
- 31:28Speaker 8: About Spencer Rawler and his potential.
- 31:30Speaker 4: Okay, there you go. We got something uh so and
- 31:33Speaker 4: also smelling salts.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Maybe they're not banned. Stick around and find out O
- 31:37Speaker 3: TB off the bench all right, good all star toy
- 31:41Speaker 3: at off, Batonrouge dot com, buying, new, leasing, renting, whatever

- 32:05Speaker 3: is like leasing everything's available. Not gonna get that many
- 32:09Speaker 3: places either, but you're certainly not going to get it
- 32:10Speaker 3: in the rental department. Per day rental prices, incredible prices

- 32:17Speaker 3: every single time.

- 32:21Speaker 5: When you mentioned all the models of cars, you didn't
- 32:23Speaker 5: mention the Corolla, which is what my two older sisters
- 32:26Speaker 5: had as their first car. Why because my parents were like, yeah,
- 32:29Speaker 5: it's it's a reliable, it's safe, it's efficient, and it
- 32:34Speaker 5: was good enough for their little girls.
- 32:35Speaker 2: So go see them today. Go see all their all

- 33:08Speaker 1: Up a bailing question from the locker room to the airwaves.

- 33:32Speaker 11: house living.
- 33:34Speaker 10: I'm driving depending only.
- 34:00Speaker 4: Like so Charlie's Angels.
- 34:06Speaker 2: That's a good movie.
- 34:10Speaker 3: I just need to know real quick before we move on.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Has R and B Thursdays made you enjoy R and
- 34:19Speaker 3: B music more?
- 34:20Speaker 8: It's not that I didn't enjoy it, It just wasn't
- 34:23Speaker 8: like a go to for me. But yeah, I mean
- 34:25Speaker 8: I like it?
- 34:27Speaker 9: Yeah, Like I love Destiny's Child, I love Tlcright.
- 34:31Speaker 8: I've told you all this. I love in Vogue.
- 34:33Speaker 4: You do like the in Vogue?
- 34:35Speaker 8: I just never play them because it feels like.
- 34:37Speaker 3: A you do it after seven thirty five, Flynn, what's up?
- 34:44Speaker 3: R and B now kind of finding its way into
- 34:45Speaker 3: the playlist maybe a little bit more.
- 34:48Speaker 5: No, not only normal playlist. But I've always liked it
- 34:51Speaker 5: all right, always like you might?
- 34:53Speaker 1: You might?
- 34:54Speaker 3: I mean yeah? True from Walker, Louisiana, how are you
- 34:59Speaker 3: feeling now about R and B?
- 35:01Speaker 7: I don't mind taking in R and B on Thursday mornings.
- 35:05Speaker 7: Do I take it in outside of work?
- 35:07Speaker 10: No?
- 35:08Speaker 6: But I enjoy it.
- 35:09Speaker 4: Okay, we're getting there, baby steps.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Everybody has to be like you.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Who said that. I like to think, Alandro, could you
- 35:18Speaker 3: back me up here? I like to think that I
- 35:20Speaker 3: listened to all music.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, absolutely, And that's what everybody should be. Everybody
- 35:27Speaker 2: should listen all.
- 35:27Speaker 8: I think I listened to everything.
- 35:31Speaker 2: What is the.
- 35:33Speaker 4: Okay, that's like the one.
- 35:34Speaker 8: But y'all know this about me. I don't really do
- 35:36Speaker 8: computer I don't.
- 35:37Speaker 3: I don't like mumble rap.
- 35:39Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't like that either.
- 35:40Speaker 6: So anything made after like twenty twelve year out, I.
- 35:43Speaker 4: Mean well, I mean like it's like it's kind of
- 35:46Speaker 4: phasing out a little bit.
- 35:47Speaker 3: Thank god, mumble.
- 35:51Speaker 4: Oh jobsy will make an appearance, don't you worry.
- 35:56Speaker 2: But I kind of just appreciate all types of music,
- 35:59Speaker 2: even the computer erated.
- 36:00Speaker 8: Music, except for that that's like the one I just
- 36:02Speaker 8: cannot get behind.
- 36:03Speaker 5: Computer generated m yeah, computer music, okay, yeah, yeah.
- 36:11Speaker 2: I will say there was a big phase.
- 36:12Speaker 5: I think it's kind of phasing out now, Like is
- 36:14Speaker 5: phase out where people's voices were just like so computer generated.
- 36:19Speaker 5: But I think more talented people are actually are the
- 36:21Speaker 5: ones becoming stars now, which yeah, nice, there's a I
- 36:24Speaker 5: feel like there was a pretty good stretch of time
- 36:26Speaker 5: where some very untalented.
- 36:28Speaker 4: People, Oh for sure, we're the top. Yes, I feel
- 36:32Speaker 4: like it's.
- 36:32Speaker 2: It's changed now. I feel like there's a lot more
- 36:34Speaker 2: talent out there.
- 36:36Speaker 3: In which realm and all the realms. I think people
- 36:40Speaker 3: can make music pretty easy. I want easy.
- 36:43Speaker 4: It's easier like podcasting at home.
- 36:48Speaker 9: She made a very like we have a O T
- 36:52Speaker 9: b AI song, but it's like from when T Bob
- 36:55Speaker 9: was here, so we never play it anymore.
- 36:57Speaker 2: I think I heard it. I think I remember hearing it.
- 37:01Speaker 4: Got the smile, Yeah, I mean, did you drive off
- 37:04Speaker 4: the road when you heard it.
- 37:06Speaker 6: I've been I've been called worse things.
- 37:08Speaker 9: I would always randomly drop it and t BA would
- 37:11Speaker 9: be like, oh my god, it's a really bad song, like.
- 37:15Speaker 6: Tab of all people. Seems like he would love that.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Well.
- 37:18Speaker 6: He was also scared of a I though.
- 37:20Speaker 2: That's true, which she should be.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Can we get a new O T B song like
- 37:25Speaker 3: a new AI Bilbo Baggins.
- 37:28Speaker 8: Is that what he's like? A new AI one like
- 37:29Speaker 8: the one that.
- 37:30Speaker 3: We're doing we play? Can we get an AI are
- 37:35Speaker 3: like early two thousand's R and B song for O
- 37:39Speaker 3: for O TV.
- 37:40Speaker 8: Okay, I'll try to get it done today.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Tell GBD to like make it good.
- 37:46Speaker 4: Yeah, hey, don't suck.
- 37:48Speaker 8: Make it objectively easy, because.
- 37:51Speaker 2: I wanted to do like one like each quarterback and
- 37:54Speaker 2: do a breakdown of Okay, so the quarterback.
- 37:56Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 37:57Speaker 4: The problem I have with AI and I don't know
- 37:59Speaker 4: how you don't onto this as much as you love it.
- 38:02Speaker 4: It's cheesy as hell.
- 38:03Speaker 3: It is so cheesy, so cheesy, like the like the
- 38:06Speaker 3: rejoins that it tried to give us for this show,
- 38:08Speaker 3: Like I loathed them, five of them.
- 38:13Speaker 5: I think it just depends on what application, Like when
- 38:16Speaker 5: if it's writing like a retirement speech, he.
- 38:18Speaker 4: Actually did pretty good.
- 38:23Speaker 2: Well, yeah, sure as you should me too, so did
- 38:28Speaker 2: everybody listening.
- 38:30Speaker 5: I've had multiple people stop me around town saying, hey, man,
- 38:33Speaker 5: that's on the retirement.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Here's what we do. We get an O T B
- 38:37Speaker 3: because we got somebody in the chat says not an
- 38:40Speaker 3: R and B fan at all. Okay, here's what we do.
- 38:43Speaker 3: We get a country version, an R and B version.
- 38:47Speaker 3: What was it that you like?
- 38:48Speaker 4: House music version?
- 38:50Speaker 2: House music? Yeah, yeah, and music.
- 38:52Speaker 3: We get trap music version, and then we get an
- 38:55Speaker 3: emo as a throwback to a Laundra's youth.
- 38:57Speaker 9: Dude, I was so emo, like I had the you know,
- 39:01Speaker 9: like back in the day where girls would just dye
- 39:04Speaker 9: the bottom of their hair a different color.
- 39:08Speaker 8: Do you know what I'm talking about, though, Yeah I do. Yeah,
- 39:11Speaker 8: I dyed the bottom of my hair pink.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Okay, I thought that's not real goth.
- 39:18Speaker 8: It kind of is like more emo, like seeing whatever
- 39:21Speaker 8: it was for Warped Tour.
- 39:25Speaker 2: What's white? I don't even know what that is.
- 39:27Speaker 9: It was like an emo tour that they it was
- 39:30Speaker 9: Vand's Warped Tour. And I went when I was like
- 39:33Speaker 9: in middle school and it was in San Antonio and
- 39:36Speaker 9: there's just a bunch of like emo bands and like
- 39:40Speaker 9: rock bands that go.
- 39:42Speaker 8: But they brought it back this year.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 39:46Speaker 8: That's how That's how seen I was back in the day.
- 39:50Speaker 5: From there, can we get one of the songs for
- 39:54Speaker 5: the OTB and like the popa roach style.
- 39:59Speaker 6: Coas like pieces, it's perfect.
- 40:09Speaker 3: I don't know if our getting a lot of text
- 40:11Speaker 3: messages from a lot of people, What is happened? Dad?
- 40:15Speaker 4: I don't know if our you get no text about
- 40:18Speaker 4: the show? No, it's not about the show.
- 40:19Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 40:21Speaker 3: Our Poncho shot might have released and released a lot
- 40:27Speaker 3: of like text messages.
- 40:28Speaker 4: I see also here in the chat somebody said something
- 40:31Speaker 4: about it.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, come see how.
- 40:33Speaker 8: Good if the pictures came out good. I think it's
- 40:36Speaker 8: because I was in said.
- 40:38Speaker 4: O TB made Oh look at us cheesing?
- 40:43Speaker 7: Is it on Twitter?
- 40:44Speaker 2: I don't know, had brother, Where did you find that?
- 40:48Speaker 2: It was like on an email?
- 40:50Speaker 3: Okay, not the email, the email list. All right, all right,
- 40:56Speaker 3: let's take a break on Yeah, we'll do some what
- 41:00Speaker 3: are some research? See if we can throw those up there,
- 41:03Speaker 3: little research.
- 41:05Speaker 2: I got it right here.
- 41:06Speaker 3: More OTB when we come back one O four five

- 42:38Speaker 1: From Flayers to legends, Hester and Flynn breakdown LSU football
- 42:42Speaker 1: like only champions can.
- 42:49Speaker 4: So it turns out.
- 42:52Speaker 3: The NFL is not as dumb as I thought they were.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Smelling salts are not going to be banned. I think
- 42:59Speaker 3: they probably heard from some of the biggest players in
- 43:01Speaker 3: the NFL said hold on, now, wait a minute, we
- 43:05Speaker 3: ain't about that life. How am I supposed to get
- 43:09Speaker 3: ready if I can't stay ready? All right, So this
- 43:11Speaker 3: is from the Players Union. What y'all know how I
- 43:13Speaker 3: feel about the Players Union? Nope.
- 43:16Speaker 10: Uh.
- 43:16Speaker 3: To clarify, this policy does not prohibit players for the
- 43:20Speaker 3: use of these substances, but rather it restricts clubs from
- 43:23Speaker 3: providing our supplying them in any form.
- 43:28Speaker 4: That's not a big deal.
- 43:29Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure we used to bring in our own anyway,
- 43:32Speaker 3: the extra strength ones.
- 43:33Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure that is an inaccurate statement. I'm pretty
- 43:36Speaker 5: sure yesterday did say players cannot use them.
- 43:40Speaker 4: Look, you know how that you know how the NFL
- 43:41Speaker 4: is they're gonna walk it back.
- 43:43Speaker 2: And yeah, yeah, it sounds like they are really that
- 43:46Speaker 2: back in.
- 43:47Speaker 3: Yeah, the players union, there's no I don't know how
- 43:51Speaker 3: you feel about them. We've never really had this conversation. Uh,
- 43:54Speaker 3: you get paid a lot of our money and our
- 43:56Speaker 3: dues for what, don't really know, don't really know a
- 43:58Speaker 3: time that you fought for me or plan or anybody
- 44:01Speaker 3: post playing career.
- 44:03Speaker 4: Maybe you hey, like we were lucky enough to be
- 44:06Speaker 4: set up.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Maybe you just give somebody a call, maybe like, hey,
- 44:09Speaker 3: you've played football your entire life, You've worked, you know,
- 44:12Speaker 3: for this one goal your entire life, and now you're
- 44:14Speaker 3: thirty two years old and you got to do something different. Hey,
- 44:16Speaker 3: can we help you? Maybe that phone call could happen
- 44:19Speaker 3: with all the money that we pay you throughout our
- 44:22Speaker 3: NFL career. Oh yeah, asking too much.
- 44:25Speaker 5: The teams and organizations cannot purchase it, but players can.
- 44:30Speaker 5: So I guess I'm envisioning the organization saying, hey, here's
- 44:35Speaker 5: a sheet. If you want to purchase these, we will
- 44:37Speaker 5: deduct it from your check and we'll purchase it all
- 44:40Speaker 5: for you on behalf of you, and we will apply
- 44:43Speaker 5: it and give it to you like we always have.
- 44:46Speaker 5: It's basically what I'm here. But as long as they
- 44:48Speaker 5: pay for it, so it'll probably just get auto deducted
- 44:51Speaker 5: from their playing check. And I'm sure one person, one
- 44:54Speaker 5: vet on every team will pay for the whole teams.
- 44:56Speaker 5: It's als it'll be a non issue. And it does
- 45:00Speaker 5: sound like a big lot of backtracking here, but you
- 45:04Speaker 5: know what, these players have been doing it forever, and
- 45:06Speaker 5: they if they know if there is any negative effects
- 45:11Speaker 5: medically to it, which it sounds like it's just kind
- 45:13Speaker 5: of unproven. We kind of read it yesterday with the
- 45:15Speaker 5: FDA's response to the whole smelling salt stuff was like,
- 45:18Speaker 5: if you know the facts and you're an adult and
- 45:20Speaker 5: it doesn't hurt anybody else, like just.
- 45:22Speaker 3: Like, I look, I knew that, you know, basically like
- 45:28Speaker 3: a couple of rams out in the wild that me
- 45:30Speaker 3: and Patrick Willi is hitting each other over and over again.
- 45:33Speaker 3: I knew it wasn't great for my brain without the horn.
- 45:35Speaker 3: I understood that I knew that, you know what, I
- 45:37Speaker 3: do it all over again.
- 45:38Speaker 2: Yep, it is what it is.
- 45:41Speaker 5: I knew me my salts like I was taking high
- 45:45Speaker 5: powered anti inflammatories for probably a little too long. Probably
- 45:47Speaker 5: wasn't great on the old liver.
- 45:49Speaker 9: You know what.
- 45:50Speaker 5: I was getting paid a lot of money to be there,
- 45:52Speaker 5: and I had to perform. I didn't want to get fired,
- 45:55Speaker 5: so I had to do it.
- 45:57Speaker 3: Would you do it again? Yes, we'll do our again
- 46:00Speaker 3: when we come.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Back off the bench.
