- 0:10Speaker 2: of course, you see them all over television. You get
- 0:12Speaker 2: his book, The Trump Economic Miracle. You'll love the book.
- 0:16Speaker 2: And he runs the Committee to Unleash Prosperity and they
- 0:20Speaker 2: put out the best daily briefing, news analysis. You want
- 0:23Speaker 2: to sound really smart, get this every day. It's free.
- 0:25Speaker 2: It'll come write your email. Just go sign up at
- 0:28Speaker 2: Unleash Prosperity dot com. Steve Moore, how you doing.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Hey, Mark, doing pretty well. The economy is showing some
- 0:37Speaker 1: signs picking up. It's amazing how resilient and durable this
- 0:41Speaker 1: economy is. But even with you know, ford to four
- 0:43Speaker 1: to fifty gallon gas economies is doing pretty well. We've
- 0:49Speaker 1: got a good jobs report, the boy. The stock markets
- 0:52Speaker 1: on a tear, and we're seeing, you know, a pretty
- 0:56Speaker 1: good incomes are actually rising faster than inflation by it.
- 1:00Speaker 1: And so if we can get the straight of hor
- 1:03Speaker 1: moves open, get that oil flowing again, I think we're
- 1:05Speaker 1: gonna have a blockbuster second half of the year.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Yeah, of course, I was watching sixty minutes. They had
- 1:09Speaker 2: this idiotic Aaron sorkinon who on sixty Minutes Sunday said
- 1:13Speaker 2: a recession is coming, It's gonna at any moment of recession.
- 1:17Speaker 2: What the hell is he talking about? It makes no sense.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Well, you know, I mean, when you have high gas prices,
- 1:25Speaker 1: there's no question that that, you know, is a tax
- 1:27Speaker 1: on the economy. It's a negative question about it. But
- 1:31Speaker 1: so far, the economies really just smoke through this. Now,
- 1:34Speaker 1: food price I'm a little worried about food prices too,
- 1:36Speaker 1: because fertilizer prices are really high right now, so that
- 1:40Speaker 1: might affect, you know, coming in the end of the
- 1:42Speaker 1: summer and early fall, we might see, you know, an
- 1:46Speaker 1: increase in food prices. But you know, boy, not the
- 1:50Speaker 1: stock market and all the economic indicators. You saw the
- 1:53Speaker 1: the Reserve Board says we're going at four percent discuarter.
- 1:57Speaker 1: That's a blockbuster number.
- 1:58Speaker 2: That's amazing. Hey, Steve Moore, we're talking about these data centers. Now.
- 2:02Speaker 2: There's protests all over trying to block the data centers,
- 2:05Speaker 2: Stop the data centers. We know a lot of it
- 2:07Speaker 2: is funded by the Chinese trying to hurt us in
- 2:10Speaker 2: the AI race. But what's the truth. Are they really
- 2:13Speaker 2: bad for a community? Are they really draining our electricity.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Well, look, people are obviously nervous about you know, the robots,
- 2:21Speaker 1: and people are nervous about what this is going to
- 2:23Speaker 1: mean for jobs, you know, five and ten years down
- 2:25Speaker 1: the road, will will the robot take my job? And
- 2:29Speaker 1: so I get that people are apprehensive, but it's almost
- 2:32Speaker 1: like remember when fracking started about fifteen years Oh my god, cracking.
- 2:36Speaker 1: It's going to cause earthquakes, You're going to pollute our water,
- 2:38Speaker 1: and it's going to cause all these problems. We hate fracking.
- 2:42Speaker 1: And of course now we know fracking out of trillions
- 2:44Speaker 1: and trillions of dollars to our economy. It's you know,
- 2:47Speaker 1: we'd be paying six seven eight dollars a gallon of
- 2:49Speaker 1: gas if it weren't for that incredible technology that you know,
- 2:54Speaker 1: all the lies that we're set about fracking and we
- 2:56Speaker 1: just call it shay oil and gas right now, and
- 2:58Speaker 1: everybody's for that. So it's a little bit like that.
- 3:00Speaker 1: People are afraid of the unknown. But this is going
- 3:04Speaker 1: to be the most amazing period of not just productivity.
- 3:07Speaker 1: It's going to make so much more products, just like
- 3:10Speaker 1: the Internet did, just like you know, when we invented
- 3:12Speaker 1: elect This is like the the invention of electricity. That's
- 3:16Speaker 1: how big it's going to be. And so people, you know,
- 3:20Speaker 1: there's going to be there's not gonna be a shortage
- 3:21Speaker 1: of homes. Everybody's going to be a castle. I'm on
- 3:24Speaker 1: the board of a company called light Speed. We build
- 3:26Speaker 1: houses with robots, and we're going to build build them
- 3:29Speaker 1: twice as fast, half as expensive. So it's going to
- 3:32Speaker 1: be enormous. But even one thing I think that the
- 3:35Speaker 1: industry is so terrible at These are the smartest people
- 3:38Speaker 1: on the planet, that five trillion dollar industry, and they
- 3:40Speaker 1: don't explain to people all of the incredible benefits that
- 3:43Speaker 1: are to come. We For example, I was meeting with
- 3:46Speaker 1: some health experts last week and they were saying, because
- 3:50Speaker 1: of AI, they will be able to detect cancer cells,
- 3:55Speaker 1: you know, way way earlier than the technology now. In
- 3:59Speaker 1: other words, the way you defeat cancer is you, you know,
- 4:02Speaker 1: combat those cancer cells early. You know, the earlier you
- 4:05Speaker 1: of the prognosis. So that's we have will have the
- 4:08Speaker 1: capacity to end cancer in this country. Well also, I
- 4:13Speaker 1: mean we'll literally be able to give site to the blind.
- 4:17Speaker 1: All of these amazing advances, and yet people are nervous
- 4:20Speaker 1: about it. The data centers are well, I don't understand.
- 4:23Speaker 1: It would be like, you know, Michigan saying no, we
- 4:25Speaker 1: don't want any more of those auto plants. I don't
- 4:27Speaker 1: get it. It creates jobs, it pays revenues in Louden County,
- 4:30Speaker 1: Virginia outside where I live. You know, the the data
- 4:34Speaker 1: centers are paying half the property taxes. Wow, they pay
- 4:37Speaker 1: for the schools, they pay for the roads, they pay
- 4:39Speaker 1: for the hospitals.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Huh hey, if we have a good point, nobody has
- 4:43Speaker 2: more money than the oil companies, the data companies. Why
- 4:45Speaker 2: don't they hire a bunch of pr firms. Why don't
- 4:48Speaker 2: they do something?
- 4:48Speaker 1: I know, look here I am. I'm sitting here waiting
- 4:51Speaker 1: for that million dollar truck. But we defend that. You
- 4:54Speaker 1: know that. We defend it not because they're paying us,
- 4:57Speaker 1: but because this is going to be so good for America.
- 4:59Speaker 1: And by the way, the most important point, I think
- 5:02Speaker 1: the most persuasive point for people are nervous about.
- 5:05Speaker 2: AI and poles show about you.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Know, sixty percent of Americans are more nervous than excited
- 5:09Speaker 1: about AI. I would simply say this, it's coming, It's coming,
- 5:13Speaker 1: The robotics is coming, It's you know, you can't hold
- 5:16Speaker 1: back the future. The only real question that matters right
- 5:20Speaker 1: now for Americans is will the United States be at
- 5:24Speaker 1: the forefront of this or will China. We dominated, the
- 5:28Speaker 1: United States dominated the Internet age, and I want to
- 5:31Speaker 1: make sure that the America, not China, you know, is
- 5:35Speaker 1: the dominant force in the AI robotics.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Age, and they want to make sure we're not. And
- 5:40Speaker 2: that's why they're funding all of these protests against the.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Exactly that's exactly right. And you know, you're Mark, You're
- 5:46Speaker 1: one hundred percent right. So all of these revolts that
- 5:49Speaker 1: are going on, a lot of that is funded because
- 5:52Speaker 1: people are afraid. And why are they afraid? Because China
- 5:55Speaker 1: is funding this movement telling people all of these weird,
- 6:00Speaker 1: you know, things about oh, it's going to destroy America
- 6:02Speaker 1: and out of that, that's that's a propaganda campaign that
- 6:07Speaker 1: is being funded by our enemies.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Hey, this new crazy New Jersey Governor Mikey Cheryl, she's
- 6:14Speaker 2: out there protesting the data centers and isn't she chasing
- 6:17Speaker 2: Exon out of New Jersey.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Yeah, this is such an amazing story. So you know,
- 6:24Speaker 1: let's face it, Exon Mobile is one of America's greatest
- 6:29Speaker 1: iconic companies. It's been in New Jersey domicile there for
- 6:33Speaker 1: one hundred and forty years. It's something like the tenth
- 6:36Speaker 1: largest company in the United States. And after one hundred
- 6:39Speaker 1: and forty years, they finally said, we're fed up with
- 6:42Speaker 1: the you know, the liberal policies, the high taxes, the
- 6:46Speaker 1: fact that you know, here they are the home of
- 6:49Speaker 1: one of the largest oil companies, and they're bringing lawsuits
- 6:52Speaker 1: against the climate change losses the oil companies. So they
- 6:56Speaker 1: finally said we are out of here. Yesterday the shareholders
- 7:00Speaker 1: seventy to thirty percent said we're moving to Texas. And
- 7:04Speaker 1: you know, we've heard this story over and over again.
- 7:06Speaker 1: So New Jersey is losing one of its greatest companies
- 7:10Speaker 1: because of the liberal governance there.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Well, how dumb do you have to be to be
- 7:15Speaker 2: crazy about getting more tax revenue and chase away your
- 7:17Speaker 2: biggest tax payers. I mean, it makes.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Exactly, It is absolutely crazy. It's like the Seattle mayor
- 7:23Speaker 1: when you know, Starbucks and Microsoft and Amazon started moving.
- 7:27Speaker 1: You know, these are iconic Seattle companies started to move
- 7:31Speaker 1: you know, jobs out of there because of their liberal policies,
- 7:34Speaker 1: and the mayor said, bye bye, we don't want you to, well,
- 7:36Speaker 1: who's going to pay the bills?
- 7:38Speaker 2: Hey, even Hollywood, Los Angeles, Hollywood is leaving Hollywood. They're
- 7:43Speaker 2: kind of losing the movie business here, aren't they.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Just like you know, New York is losing the financial
- 7:48Speaker 1: services sector. It's sad. You know, if you look at
- 7:52Speaker 1: the ten movies that were on the Oscar list for
- 7:55Speaker 1: the Best Picture, and by the way, none of them
- 7:58Speaker 1: were any good. But now one of them was actually
- 8:01Speaker 1: made in a movie studio in Los Angeles.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Wow.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Because why, it's too costly to do business there. The
- 8:07Speaker 1: labor rules are crazy, that people are sick of the
- 8:10Speaker 1: woke stuff. And by the way, Hollywood's near those those
- 8:14Speaker 1: mountains where the where they had the forest fires, so
- 8:17Speaker 1: nobody wants to make a movie there anymore. So it's
- 8:20Speaker 1: it's really a sad thing. The amount of employment in
- 8:24Speaker 1: Hollywood is dropped by half in just the last five years.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Wow. So this will affect this mayoral race and in
- 8:31Speaker 2: Los Angeles, won't it.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Wow? What a story that is? I mean, is it Pratt?
- 8:38Speaker 2: Yeah? Pratt, Spencer Pratt.
- 8:40Speaker 1: He's he's amazing and he's surging in the polls they
- 8:44Speaker 1: have they're going to elections. The election booth on Tuesday,
- 8:48Speaker 1: and it looks like it'll be the current mayor versus
- 8:51Speaker 1: Spencer Pratt that will make it into a runoff. And
- 8:54Speaker 1: then it's a question of whether people in Los Angeles
- 8:57Speaker 1: realize how much trouble they're in. I love La, by
- 8:59Speaker 1: the way, my favorite cities, but have you been there lately?
- 9:02Speaker 1: It's pretty varable, garbage, homeless people everywhere, dirty and unsafe.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I hope that the people in Los Angeles have the
- 9:10Speaker 1: courage to change, just like by the way Rudy Giuliani
- 9:13Speaker 1: turned around New York. You were there when that happened.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I think Senser pract could really turn make La great again.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Hey, the only problem is you get a Rudy Giuliani,
- 9:23Speaker 2: it's it's great, but then you get a Democrat comes
- 9:26Speaker 2: in afterwards puts it right back where it.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Was, so they screw it all up again. Yep.
