- 0:09Speaker 1: All right, so we have a new game today that
- 0:12Speaker 1: our producers have thrown at us. We know nothing about it,
- 0:14Speaker 1: but they've guaranteed us it's going to be hilarious. Uh-oh.
- 0:18Speaker 2: They said it's going to be the funniest thing we've
- 0:19Speaker 2: ever experienced in our life.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Or they owe.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Us $ 100 each. $ 100 trillion. The game is called Clip It.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Clip it. Love a clip it game.
- 0:34Speaker 4: So here we go. We're going to give you some questions.
- 0:37Speaker 5: Okay.
- 0:37Speaker 4: And let's see what you guys think. First one, does
- 0:40Speaker 4: a straw have two holes or one?
- 0:42Speaker 1: Oh, man. It's one hole.
- 0:46Speaker 3: It's one hole. It's a three-dimensional hole.
- 0:49Speaker 1: One hole. It is.
- 0:51Speaker 3: One hole.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Intestines, basically.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I'm going to say, I'm going to go with one hole.
- 0:56Speaker 4: One hole across the board. All right, there we go.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Let's move on to the next one. Does Mike Wazowski
- 1:00Speaker 4: wink or blink?
- 1:01Speaker 1: Oh, Mike Wazowski.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Mike Wazowski, wink or blink?
- 1:06Speaker 1: He's not really much of a flirt.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Yeah, but he's only got one eye, so, you know,
- 1:10Speaker 3: you wink with one eye. He flirts with somebody in
- 1:11Speaker 3: the movies.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I am going to go with a wink.
- 1:14Speaker 5: I just think it's blinking. Just because he has one
- 1:17Speaker 5: eye doesn't mean he's always winking at somebody.
- 1:19Speaker 1: I think that we should have him on the pod
- 1:21Speaker 1: and ask him.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Mike Wazowski! Yeah, I like that. It's definitely a blink, though. Yeah,
- 1:27Speaker 3: because he gets stuff in his eye and he has
- 1:28Speaker 3: to blink it out. Yeah, that's right. He does.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Oh, you're right.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Are we blinks across the board?
- 1:34Speaker 1: Yeah, we're blinking.
- 1:36Speaker 3: We're blinking.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Toilet paper, over or under?
- 1:40Speaker 3: There's a proper way to do this. I like it
- 1:42Speaker 3: over so I can do that. You know, so over.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I like it over because I do a quick, like
- 1:50Speaker 1: ripped off. It's actually impressive.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Next time you poop, show us.
- 1:54Speaker 1: You ever seen the guy on TikTok that's like training
- 1:56Speaker 1: for being the fastest person at grabbing lighters?
- 1:58Speaker 3: That's me with the toilet paper. That's sick.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I don't think either of you use toilet paper because
- 2:04Speaker 2: you both probably use dude wipes.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Incorrect. There's a process.
- 2:09Speaker 5: You need a dry wipe after. There's a dry before, wet,
- 2:12Speaker 5: then dry again.
- 2:13Speaker 4: I don't want to beleaguer this topic, you guys, but
- 2:14Speaker 4: I am curious. Clump or fold the toilet paper?
- 2:17Speaker 1: Fold.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Fold?
- 2:18Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Fold.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Meticulous fold.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Fold.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Clump is disgusting. Ugh, clump. Yeah, no one clumps.
- 2:25Speaker 4: I was just asking you that.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Clumps out of my butt.
- 2:27Speaker 4: All right. Was there room on the door for Jack, Titanic,
- 2:32Speaker 4: yes or no?
- 2:33Speaker 3: Yeah, she was selfish.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Here's the thing, though. That wood, it was expanding, yeah? No.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Wood, if it gets in the water, it's going to
- 2:41Speaker 1: sort of What was it going to do?
- 2:43Speaker 3: Contract? It was too cold. It would have contracted.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I'll tell you what happened. When it rains, my front
- 2:48Speaker 1: door expands.
- 2:49Speaker 5: So there was more room, you're saying, for him on
- 2:52Speaker 5: the door.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I think the dude was cooked. I think he was cold.
- 2:55Speaker 1: It was like, it's too cold out here. I'm already
- 2:57Speaker 1: halfway in.
- 2:58Speaker 3: I do think that he had, there was room, but
- 3:02Speaker 3: it was fine. It was a movie. He might just
- 3:05Speaker 3: hate being cold. He's like, I'd rather die.
- 3:10Speaker 4: The debate rages on. How many chuggas before the choo-choo? Two, four, six,
- 3:15Speaker 4: or eight?
- 3:16Speaker 3: Chugga-chugga-choo-choo. Who do we appreciate?
- 3:19Speaker 1: It's two.
- 3:20Speaker 3: It's chugga-chugga-choo-choo.
- 3:21Speaker 1: It's four. Chugga. It's a paradiddle. Chugga-chugga. Chugga.
- 3:28Speaker 3: One, two, three, four. But spelled like that, chugga is one.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Chugga-chugga-choo-choo. How many chuggas?
- 3:33Speaker 3: That's two.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Chugga. Chugga.
- 3:34Speaker 3: It's two.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Chuggas, plural. How many chuggas?
- 3:36Speaker 3: It's four.
- 3:37Speaker 1: How many chuggas in a chugga?
- 3:38Speaker 3: How many chuggas?
- 3:39Speaker 1: What?
- 3:40Speaker 3: How many chuggas does it take to have a chugga? Chugga.
- 3:44Speaker 3: I'm going to go with four just to piss y'all off. No, no, no, no.
- 3:47Speaker 3: It's two because four is the syllables, not the word.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Kevin, you're wrong.
- 3:54Speaker 3: You're wrong, Kev.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Take the L.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Well, choo-choo to you.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Is the Grinch his name, his species, or his job?
- 4:01Speaker 3: I think it's a nickname. I think it's like Cher.
- 4:05Speaker 3: It's just like he is the Grinch.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Are you comparing the Grinch to our dearly beloved Cher?
- 4:10Speaker 2: I think the Grinch is not his real name because
- 4:12Speaker 2: I think that's like the name he was given as like, oh,
- 4:15Speaker 2: he's such a Grinch.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Like, he's just bad.
- 4:17Speaker 3: He's angry.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Oh, or job. Yeah, so it's like his job is
- 4:20Speaker 2: like he's the Grinch. He's like the mean old man.
- 4:23Speaker 2: He's a Grinch. I think it's sort of like he's
- 4:26Speaker 2: the Grinch in town.
- 4:27Speaker 5: In the live action version of this, the lady that
- 4:30Speaker 5: he's obsessed with, I believe she calls him by his
- 4:33Speaker 5: real name in the film.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Oh, and when they're in school.
- 4:36Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:37Speaker 1: When he has the shaving.
- 4:38Speaker 3: When he has the shaver. I think they say his name.
- 4:41Speaker 1: We should go back and see.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Next up, is it pronounced pecan, pecan, pecan, or pecan?
- 4:48Speaker 1: Ooh. Pecan.
- 4:50Speaker 3: I usually go with pecan. Pecan.
- 4:53Speaker 1: I go pecan as well. But it's funny. I say
- 4:55Speaker 1: pecan when it's on its own, but when I say
- 4:59Speaker 1: the pie variant, I say pecan pie.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Oh, so as do I. Pecan. And Nick's a pie enthusiast,
- 5:07Speaker 3: as everyone knows. I am. He likes a pie. What's
- 5:10Speaker 3: your favorite pie? It's pumpkin. You know that. Pumpkin pie.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Duh.
- 5:14Speaker 3: I think pecan is the appropriate terminology.
- 5:19Speaker 1: According to who? And what accent?
- 5:21Speaker 3: I think... What authority do you have.
- 5:23Speaker 1: To make these statements?
- 5:24Speaker 5: I think if you're below the Mason-Dixon line, you're going
- 5:28Speaker 5: to say pecan.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Okay. Next. Next.
- 5:31Speaker 4: All right, next up, does it go sock, sock, shoe, shoe,
- 5:34Speaker 4: or sock, shoe, sock, shoe?
- 5:36Speaker 3: Oh, sock, sock, shoe, shoe. It's definitely sock, sock, shoe, shoe. Oh,
- 5:41Speaker 3: my God. If you put sock, shoe, sock, shoe, you
- 5:44Speaker 3: are a psychopath. I like that.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I sock, sock, shoe.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Speaking of socks, check these puppies out.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Nice socks. Last one on Clip It here today.
- 5:56Speaker 4: String cheese, peel it or bite it?
- 5:58Speaker 1: Oh.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Peel.
- 6:00Speaker 1: If I see someone... You peel that. You peel it.
- 6:04Speaker 1: What happened in your childhood?
- 6:06Speaker 3: Did you just bite string cheese straight up?
- 6:08Speaker 2: Somewhere online I was taking a bite of one and
- 6:10Speaker 2: people lost their damn minds, so don't bite it ever again.
- 6:13Speaker 3: So I'm going to take you to court for that.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I have another one of these sort of like, what
- 6:19Speaker 1: the f * * * type things that happened recently.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Someone was staying and I noticed there was a can.
- 6:30Speaker 1: In the kitchen, kind of off to the side on
- 6:31Speaker 1: the counter. All day. But it was, like, full. And
- 6:36Speaker 1: then I saw the person go and take a sip,
- 6:39Speaker 1: leave it there. All day long.
- 6:42Speaker 3: That's a bit strange.
- 6:43Speaker 1: They just have a running sipper, and it's just on
- 6:46Speaker 1: the counter. And it was driving me absolutely insane.
- 6:49Speaker 3: You're saying, like, it was, like, micro-sipping?
- 6:51Speaker 1: It was, like, yeah, all day.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Somebody's testing your patience. Yeah. That was a test. You passed.
- 6:57Speaker 6: All right.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Today we have a very, very exciting show. And that
- 7:00Speaker 1: is because we have an icon.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Icon status unlocked.
- 7:04Speaker 1: This is a person who was on one of the
- 7:07Speaker 1: biggest shows of all time in the 90s. Tiffany Thiessen. Wow.
- 7:13Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 7:14Speaker 3: I watched every season of Saved by the Bell.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Yeah, me too.
- 7:18Speaker 5: Including the one that they went to college. And then,
- 7:20Speaker 5: of course, the wedding in Vegas.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Man.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Iconic stuff.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Brings me the feels.
- 7:25Speaker 1: All the feels. I think we should jump right into it.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Let's jump right in. All right, Tiffany, we're so glad
- 7:30Speaker 1: to have you here today on the pod.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Yeah, thanks for joining us.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Kevin and Joe are remote today in London and in
- 7:37Speaker 1: New Jersey. But we're here in the studio in Los Angeles,
- 7:40Speaker 1: and we're very glad to have you.
- 7:42Speaker 3: How's your day been so far? Great.
- 7:44Speaker 7: It's actually going very well. Both my kids are back
- 7:47Speaker 7: to school, so.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Incredible.
- 7:48Speaker 3: So it's even better.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I have a four-and-a-half-year-old who's in kindergarten readiness.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Oh.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Which I didn't know was a thing.
- 7:58Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 7:59Speaker 3: It's basically pre-K.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I was wondering, is it not PC to say pre-K
- 8:05Speaker 1: anymore if they just decided?
- 8:06Speaker 3: I don't know. You have to tell me. It's been
- 8:07Speaker 3: a while for me, so.
- 8:08Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 8:09Speaker 1: I mean, it was fascinating. So the whole process, we
- 8:13Speaker 1: went from three hours a day now to.
- 8:15Speaker 3: The full day. Yeah, it's a big deal.
- 8:17Speaker 1: And it's wild to have all this time I didn't
- 8:19Speaker 1: expect to have.
- 8:20Speaker 3: How do you feel about it? He's golfing. I'm sure
- 8:23Speaker 3: he's golfing.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Well, maybe.
- 8:26Speaker 1: She just asked me today, she said, will you be
- 8:28Speaker 1: sad when I'm gone at school?
- 8:30Speaker 3: She asked you.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Yeah. And I said, I'll be very proud that you're
- 8:32Speaker 1: doing big and exciting things at school and learning. She goes,
- 8:35Speaker 1: but will you be sad?
- 8:37Speaker 3: She wants to hear that you're going to have a
- 8:38Speaker 3: little tear.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Yeah, of course. But your kids are, if you don't
- 8:41Speaker 1: mind me asking, so you have an older child.
- 8:43Speaker 3: I have a junior this year. Yep.
- 8:45Speaker 7: A junior in high school, which is crazy to think
- 8:47Speaker 7: she's got two more years of high school.
- 8:49Speaker 5: Are you starting the process of like looking for college?
- 8:52Speaker 5: Is it, I'm like dreading that idea.
- 8:55Speaker 3: It's a lot.
- 8:56Speaker 7: We did it this summer for the first time. Yeah,
- 8:59Speaker 7: we did it while we were, so we go to
- 9:00Speaker 7: Maine every summer to see my in-laws and spend a
- 9:03Speaker 7: bunch of time with the cousins and, and all that.
- 9:05Speaker 7: So we were like, we're already back East. Let's go
- 9:07Speaker 7: look at some Boston colleges. Cause that's an option for her.
- 9:10Speaker 3: And it was exciting. It's, but it's, it's nerve wracking too.
- 9:14Speaker 3: It's overwhelming.
- 9:14Speaker 7: We're still pre, I mean, she's a junior, so it gets,
- 9:17Speaker 7: it gets serious next summer. So, so exciting. And then
- 9:20Speaker 7: I have a little, a little guy still in elementary school.
- 9:23Speaker 7: He's in fifth grade.
- 9:24Speaker 1: So Awesome. Amazing.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Yeah. Two very different places.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Different places. Well, I have this on my cards here.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Same old lady over here. Which is, you.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Know, they prepare us with some fun facts here.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Oh, do they?
- 9:34Speaker 1: Okay. It says that you went to high school with
- 9:37Speaker 1: Snoop Dogg.
- 9:37Speaker 3: I did.
- 9:38Speaker 1: So not only were you famously on one of the
- 9:41Speaker 1: most famous shows about high school, but you went- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:45Speaker 1: You went to high school.
- 9:46Speaker 3: I haven't heard that one in a long time.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Just kidding.
- 9:48Speaker 3: But you went to high school.
- 9:50Speaker 1: That's your ringtone. That's fascinating.
- 9:51Speaker 7: I did.
- 9:51Speaker 3: I went to actually junior high with high school. Junior high.
- 9:54Speaker 7: I went to junior high. Marshall junior high with Calvin.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Yes.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Fascinating. It is fascinating. because he was pretty much still
- 10:02Speaker 3: the same. Were you filming that show during high school
- 10:04Speaker 3: or was it after?
- 10:05Speaker 7: Yes, we, you know, nowadays, generally, like the show I'm
- 10:08Speaker 7: on right now, all these kids are older playing younger.
- 10:12Speaker 7: And it's because you can work them longer hours, right?
- 10:14Speaker 1: Nice.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Yes, yes, yes.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Oh, look at you. And then coming to Disney Plus.
- 10:19Speaker 7: Thanks.
- 10:19Speaker 1: And Hulu right after that.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Yes, exactly. Smooth.
- 10:23Speaker 7: So, but back in the day on my show, we
- 10:26Speaker 7: all played pretty much our age. So we would go
- 10:28Speaker 7: to school for three hours a day and then we'd
- 10:30Speaker 7: go on set and work all day. So our days
- 10:32Speaker 7: were long. So we pretty much played our age, our
- 10:36Speaker 7: high school. So we were definitely all in high school
- 10:39Speaker 7: while we were shooting that show.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Did you go out for pilot season? Is that how
- 10:43Speaker 1: the show happened? Or did you have a commitment beforehand?
- 10:46Speaker 1: What was the journey?
- 10:47Speaker 3: For Saved by the Bell you're talking about?
- 10:49Speaker 7: No, it was more of like a big, crazy, probably
- 10:52Speaker 7: more like how you guys felt a little bit. Like
- 10:54Speaker 7: when I hear about Disney, it's like a big, huge casting.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Tons of people. Yeah. Wide net.
- 11:00Speaker 1: But it was a nationwide cast.
- 11:01Speaker 3: I think it was a nationwide search from what I've
- 11:03Speaker 3: been told.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Incredible.
- 11:05Speaker 3: I was 15 at the time when.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I was doing this. So you get the show, you're elated, obviously.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Super excited, nervous, but super excited. It was my very
- 11:12Speaker 3: first huge break.
- 11:13Speaker 7: I had done a couple of small things and I
- 11:15Speaker 7: had modeled a lot when I was younger doing kid stuff.
- 11:19Speaker 3: But this was like the first big. Big, huge thing.
- 11:21Speaker 1: And at what point does it become a global phenomenon
- 11:24Speaker 1: and you guys are famous all over the world? Within
- 11:26Speaker 1: the first season or was it?
- 11:27Speaker 7: I would say probably more the second season and then
- 11:30Speaker 7: really big by the third season because we got syndicated.
- 11:33Speaker 7: And once we got syndicated, then it was like all
- 11:35Speaker 7: over the world. We were traveling to Europe and all
- 11:39Speaker 7: over the States.
- 11:40Speaker 3: It's like another version. The mall tours and all that. Yeah, yeah.
- 11:43Speaker 3: We know it well. I know you guys know it well.
- 11:45Speaker 1: The mania and something that, you know, because of now,
- 11:50Speaker 1: all these places you can stream and watch shows, we're
- 11:53Speaker 1: seeing all new generations coming to love shows like Saved
- 11:55Speaker 1: by the Bell and others.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Huge, over and over and over again. It'll never die. Yeah,
- 11:59Speaker 3: it's incredible.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Never.
- 12:01Speaker 5: I turned on my Samsung TV the other day, and
- 12:03Speaker 5: it was just all the episodes playing in a row.
- 12:05Speaker 3: I was like, this is fantastic. So we just left
- 12:06Speaker 3: it on. It was great. That's hilarious. Yeah, it's crazy.
- 12:09Speaker 1: May I ask, do you have a favorite episode, either
- 12:11Speaker 1: for a personal reason or for the way it turned
- 12:14Speaker 1: out in the final cut?
- 12:16Speaker 3: I mean... Let's see. It's funny.
- 12:19Speaker 7: I never was huge about watching a lot of my
- 12:23Speaker 7: stuff when I was younger. I watch more of my
- 12:25Speaker 7: stuff now just to make sure I feel proud of it.
- 12:28Speaker 7: But back then it was a little more.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Like a job. I lived it.
- 12:32Speaker 7: And then I was like on to the next, you know,
- 12:34Speaker 7: so I didn't watch a ton of it. But the
- 12:38Speaker 7: biggest memories I have back then is really probably more
- 12:43Speaker 7: of the traveling aspects of, of, was I, the fact
- 12:46Speaker 7: that I was able to go to a lot of
- 12:48Speaker 7: places that most 15, 16 year olds couldn't do. I mean,
- 12:50Speaker 7: my parents could afford to take us to Europe and
- 12:52Speaker 7: go to all these crazy places that I got to
- 12:54Speaker 7: go to. So that, that was probably the coolest thing
- 12:57Speaker 7: for me. Um, and then episode wise, I think we
- 13:01Speaker 7: did a whole summer on the beach and we got
- 13:03Speaker 7: to go to the beach and shoot on the beach
- 13:05Speaker 7: every day. So that was kind of nice. Cause we
- 13:07Speaker 7: weren't in like a studio every day. So those are
- 13:09Speaker 7: the ones that I probably remember the most.
- 13:11Speaker 2: And I'm sure your kids now have seen some of these.
- 13:15Speaker 2: these episodes or some of the clips.
- 13:17Speaker 7: My son has no interest. Um, he, I guess he's
- 13:21Speaker 7: still young to us. Well, I just don't think this
- 13:23Speaker 7: is what kids are watching.
- 13:24Speaker 3: I mean, right. I remember my daughter. Yeah.
- 13:28Speaker 7: My daughter watched it during COVID. So that was what,
- 13:32Speaker 7: six years ago. And she was like, it's okay, mom.
- 13:35Speaker 7: She was not a huge fan, you know, and she
- 13:38Speaker 7: would never watch it now. And then she tried watching
- 13:40Speaker 7: 90210 and she was like, this is the slowest, most
- 13:44Speaker 7: boring show I've ever seen because TV doesn't, it's just
- 13:47Speaker 7: not the same.
- 13:48Speaker 5: It just doesn't move as fast as they're watching all
- 13:50Speaker 5: their shows.
- 13:51Speaker 3: It's very, very different.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Most TV shows, I mean, a majority of them, there's
- 13:56Speaker 2: no commercial breaks and they don't write that into the.
- 13:58Speaker 7: Yep.
- 13:59Speaker 2: The script usually it's like, why did it just fade
- 14:01Speaker 2: to black every five minutes?
- 14:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:04Speaker 7: Yeah. It's just, I think everything was so much slower,
- 14:07Speaker 7: a bigger build took longer. You know, these kids nowadays,
- 14:11Speaker 7: like they need something in the storyline super fast all
- 14:14Speaker 7: the time, especially all these YA shows that my teenager watches.
- 14:16Speaker 3: So very different.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Well, there's the iconic. I'm so excited. Fancy, which of
- 14:21Speaker 1: course lives. And if me on Tik TOK now we've
- 14:23Speaker 1: all seen that. And I feel like that's been introduced
- 14:25Speaker 1: to another generation with something like that in the moment. Um,
- 14:29Speaker 1: Do you get a sense like, oh, one day this
- 14:31Speaker 1: in whatever it's been?
- 14:32Speaker 7: Well, no, because we didn't have social media back then.
- 14:34Speaker 7: My cell phone was the size of this coffee table.
- 14:36Speaker 7: So it was very, very different. You know, like what
- 14:41Speaker 7: we had to kind of think about as responsible people
- 14:45Speaker 7: trying to, you know, have good careers was. you know,
- 14:48Speaker 7: going to work on time, knowing our lines and behaving
- 14:52Speaker 7: and making sure that like paparazzi wasn't following us around
- 14:54Speaker 7: doing something stupid, you know, like underage drinking or, you know,
- 14:58Speaker 7: like that kind of thing.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Which no one has ever done. No, of course not.
- 15:00Speaker 3: We were so perfect.
- 15:03Speaker 7: So those were the things that we had to worry about.
- 15:05Speaker 3: We didn't have to worry about.
- 15:07Speaker 7: And even if fans talked about us, it was like
- 15:10Speaker 7: usually online and you really had to like take the
- 15:13Speaker 7: time to like go through those, which I really never did. Right.
- 15:17Speaker 7: It was more, you know, the magazines, the teeny bop
- 15:20Speaker 7: and bumper and all those.
- 15:21Speaker 3: We definitely we definitely saw a little bit of that.
- 15:24Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 15:24Speaker 5: When we went back just recently to work with Disney
- 15:27Speaker 5: and did Camp Rock three and even just that.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:29Speaker 5: That time frame of like being on set when we
- 15:31Speaker 5: were younger to like very different right the kids that
- 15:34Speaker 5: are doing it now malachi who's in your show is
- 15:36Speaker 5: on our show yeah yeah the uh the mcu as
- 15:38Speaker 5: i call it the malachi collected universe as it is
- 15:41Speaker 5: yeah um very true it really is everywhere um so
- 15:46Speaker 5: it's just really interesting to see like them doing like
- 15:49Speaker 5: their like tiktok dances and all the stuff like all
- 15:52Speaker 5: the time and like getting all content ready for what
- 15:55Speaker 5: like we wouldn't not was never we were just.
- 15:57Speaker 1: There yeah Malachi is crushing it. We introduced the cast
- 16:02Speaker 1: of Camp Rock at the D23 thing. And when we
- 16:05Speaker 1: said his name.
- 16:06Speaker 3: They lost their team.
- 16:10Speaker 1: You're in the Disney universe now.
- 16:11Speaker 7: I am.
- 16:11Speaker 1: With Coven Academy. What's it like to be working with
- 16:15Speaker 1: the mouse again in this capacity?
- 16:17Speaker 3: It's very fun.
- 16:18Speaker 7: It's, um, you know, I've worked with the mouse years ago,
- 16:23Speaker 7: very different though, different type of show. This is a
- 16:25Speaker 7: whole different universe for me, for sure.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Um, I.
- 16:29Speaker 7: Love the enthusiasm. I love how excited I'm seeing already.
- 16:34Speaker 7: People are getting very excited about the show. Um, you know,
- 16:37Speaker 7: it's a very mystical witchy kind of cool show and
- 16:40Speaker 7: great kids. And I'm excited to kind of be like
- 16:43Speaker 7: you know, the older person kind of coming on and
- 16:45Speaker 7: seeing how this rides.
- 16:46Speaker 3: It's pretty fun, yeah.
- 16:47Speaker 5: My daughter's just asked, like, Dad, we saw the commercial.
- 16:49Speaker 5: They're like, can we watch it? Because, like, I have
- 16:51Speaker 5: a 12 and a 9-year-old. And I was like, I
- 16:52Speaker 5: think so.
- 16:52Speaker 3: So you're right there. And I'm like, probably, for sure.
- 16:55Speaker 5: But then the question is, is, like, how, like, is
- 16:57Speaker 5: it on the darker side of the Disney fun or
- 16:59Speaker 5: is it more of, like, still, like, dreamscape?
- 17:02Speaker 3: How witchy do we get? It's witchy.
- 17:04Speaker 7: It's definitely, and there's, you know, romance and things like that.
- 17:07Speaker 7: But it's definitely not... risque ya it's a little like
- 17:12Speaker 7: you're nine and twelve and my eleven is gonna be.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Fine copy that great approved approved kevin's gonna write you
- 17:19Speaker 2: a formal letter if he doesn't like it.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Speaking of spooky season because i was just uh i
- 17:26Speaker 1: was at the um world market the other day there
- 17:29Speaker 1: was a whole spooky season setup section do you guys
- 17:32Speaker 1: decorate Yes. You do. We do. Ohio elaborates the setup.
- 17:36Speaker 3: I mean, nothing crazy.
- 17:37Speaker 7: You're not going to see those big giant, you know,
- 17:39Speaker 7: skeletons in the yard.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I won't do that. That's too much for me.
- 17:42Speaker 7: But I do love like a more tame kind of
- 17:46Speaker 7: cool aesthetic.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Of having a little Halloween.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Some spooky stuff.
- 17:49Speaker 3: I love Halloween. Halloween's definitely a top holiday for me,
- 17:52Speaker 3: for sure.
- 17:52Speaker 1: It is blocked off in all our calendars.
- 17:54Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Now with the kids, we got to.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Take it true. We got to do it. It's on
- 17:57Speaker 3: a Saturday this year, guys. It's a big one this year.
- 17:59Speaker 3: It's on a Saturday. It's going to be wild.
- 18:01Speaker 7: But now my thing is I worry, like, what is
- 18:02Speaker 7: my daughter wearing and where is she going? Because, you know,
- 18:05Speaker 7: that's where I am with high school.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Because that's a thing. It's a thing.
- 18:09Speaker 3: She's got a boyfriend. And like, how late is she
- 18:11Speaker 3: going to be out?
- 18:12Speaker 1: Is it approved?
- 18:12Speaker 3: And who's driving? Yeah.
- 18:15Speaker 1: We don't want to embarrass your daughter, but has she
- 18:17Speaker 1: talked about what the ideas are? No, not yet.
- 18:19Speaker 3: She doesn't usually tell me until the last minute. She
- 18:22Speaker 3: walks down the stairs.
- 18:22Speaker 7: Last year was the first year, or no, it was
- 18:25Speaker 7: the second year that we did not go as a
- 18:27Speaker 7: family costumes.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Family costumes? That long?
- 18:31Speaker 1: Oh, we did.
- 18:32Speaker 3: We did for a while. Please give me some of
- 18:34Speaker 3: the highlights. Give me some of the highlights.
- 18:36Speaker 7: She did clueless a couple of years ago that she
- 18:39Speaker 7: banged it. She did so well. Um, it was usually like,
- 18:42Speaker 7: we kind of do an all like eighties thing or like,
- 18:44Speaker 7: you know, we always do that for our holiday cards too.
- 18:47Speaker 7: We always do a theme. Like last year it was
- 18:48Speaker 7: backstreet boys. Um, which I saw you guys just went,
- 18:51Speaker 7: we just went, have you been, I have, it's so good.
- 18:54Speaker 3: I grew up with those guys.
- 18:54Speaker 7: Of course I went like those guys I've known for years.
- 18:57Speaker 7: And so I went for new year's last.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Year, two years ago. They just announced new year's this year. Yeah.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:03Speaker 3: It was such a fun, such a great show. So fun.
- 19:07Speaker 3: So we did that.
- 19:08Speaker 7: And then the year before that, it was full on
- 19:10Speaker 7: eighties and the year before that was seventies. So we've
- 19:12Speaker 7: always had like theme stuff, but yeah, Halloween's kind of like,
- 19:15Speaker 7: he's on her own with her boyfriend or her friends.
- 19:17Speaker 7: It is a little, it's just like, it's like a
- 19:20Speaker 7: switch in time.
- 19:20Speaker 3: And you're just putting away the Incredibles costume.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:24Speaker 3: This is our first year.
- 19:25Speaker 5: Our daughter, it was like, like this last year, she's like, yeah,
- 19:29Speaker 5: we don't dress up anymore. Now middle school, we don't
- 19:30Speaker 5: dress up going to school anymore.
- 19:31Speaker 3: They don't.
- 19:32Speaker 5: And so like, it just shifts and it's like, oh,
- 19:35Speaker 5: She's like, I'm like, yeah, she's like, yeah, we don't
- 19:37Speaker 5: do that anymore.
- 19:37Speaker 3: I'm like, Oh no. Yeah.
- 19:39Speaker 1: This just happened with, with us. Um, our daughter was
- 19:42Speaker 1: obsessed with Moana forever and she still loves Moana, but
- 19:46Speaker 1: you know, I was like, let's watch Moana. she's actually
- 19:48Speaker 1: i'd like to watch something else i was like but
- 19:49Speaker 1: that's our that's our thing oh yeah let's let's go
- 19:52Speaker 1: watch we'll watch it again but let's watch something else.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Yeah it's it's big i'm telling you it's a.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Lot change is quick um have you ever had someone
- 20:01Speaker 1: um come up to your house to do a trick-or-treating situation.
- 20:05Speaker 7: We don't have the sidewalks and stuff in our neighborhood.
- 20:08Speaker 7: It is kind of sad that I don't have the
- 20:09Speaker 7: old school. I mean, I grew up with, you know,
- 20:11Speaker 7: with that, but we don't have that.
- 20:13Speaker 5: We have the gates and all that. Yeah, we first
- 20:14Speaker 5: moved to Los Angeles. We stayed until, we were at
- 20:16Speaker 5: this house in Toluca Lake, and we didn't know, like,
- 20:19Speaker 5: the first year we were there.
- 20:20Speaker 3: That this street is like the neighborhood. It's the neighborhood.
- 20:23Speaker 5: And like we got like 3,000. I think my mom
- 20:26Speaker 5: was like handing out canned goods. We have a safe
- 20:29Speaker 5: zone like that by us and they shut down all
- 20:30Speaker 5: the roads. It's really fun. And they all like every
- 20:33Speaker 5: house throws like a different house party. And like as parents,
- 20:35Speaker 5: like you just walk around with a wagon full of
- 20:37Speaker 5: other kinds of adult candy.
- 20:40Speaker 3: And it's great. You mean alcohol?
- 20:44Speaker 7: Yes.
- 20:45Speaker 6: Yes.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I have a lot of friends who just bring their
- 20:47Speaker 3: own little sippy cups. So get you through it.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Um, speaking of food and candy and all these things,
- 20:55Speaker 1: natural segue, you, you wrote a cookbook about making food
- 20:58Speaker 1: out of leftovers. Yeah.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:59Speaker 7: That's my second cookbook. So I had a first one
- 21:00Speaker 7: quite a few years ago. I had, I had a
- 21:02Speaker 7: cooking show on, on, um, cooking channel and food network
- 21:05Speaker 7: for a while. And then this was my second cookbook.
- 21:09Speaker 7: Kind of the idea came during COVID when we were,
- 21:11Speaker 7: I remember when we were all wiping down our groceries.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Wasn't that fun?
- 21:14Speaker 1: Yes. Yeah.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Uh, Oh, you did that too. Yeah.
- 21:17Speaker 7: Yeah. Um, and so it kind of came in my
- 21:21Speaker 7: head a little bit where I was like, we're in
- 21:23Speaker 7: a place where we really need to like keep our
- 21:25Speaker 7: food for a while, really extend our food during COVID
- 21:29Speaker 7: and stuff. And then I was like, you know, I
- 21:31Speaker 7: grew up in a very modest, you know, house. My
- 21:33Speaker 7: dad worked two jobs. My mom stayed home to take
- 21:35Speaker 7: care of the kids. And like, we didn't have a
- 21:37Speaker 7: ton of money. And my mom was always using leftovers.
- 21:40Speaker 7: And I was like, there's really no cookbook. that really
- 21:42Speaker 7: kind of speaks to that. And especially with, you know,
- 21:44Speaker 7: climate change and just food waste being such a huge
- 21:46Speaker 7: part of that. Like I was like, I really kind
- 21:48Speaker 7: of want to come up with a new idea for
- 21:50Speaker 7: a cookbook. And that's how I came up with it.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Great.
- 21:52Speaker 6: Fantastic.
- 21:53Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Is there for you, like one food that is, very
- 21:58Speaker 2: underrated as a leftover like this slaps for me a
- 22:01Speaker 2: pizza naturally i'm like cold pizza i think it's incredible but.
- 22:04Speaker 7: Cold pizza is amazing i have that actually in the
- 22:06Speaker 7: book i think it's one of the very first recipes
- 22:08Speaker 7: but i make it into a breakfast sandwich oh that's
- 22:10Speaker 7: great pizza and make it into a breakfast sandwich.
- 22:13Speaker 3: What is this cookbook called.
- 22:16Speaker 7: Uh that one is called here we go again oh
- 22:18Speaker 7: perfect Oh, that's brilliant.
- 22:20Speaker 1: I always do this thing when we're at dinner and
- 22:23Speaker 1: it annoys my brothers and my wife because I never
- 22:26Speaker 1: actually end up doing it. But I'll have something in
- 22:27Speaker 1: front of me and I'll go, oh, this would be
- 22:28Speaker 1: great with a cracked egg in the morning. Yeah.
- 22:31Speaker 3: I mean, there's lots of things that would be good
- 22:32Speaker 3: with a cracked egg.
- 22:33Speaker 2: In the morning.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Typically steak.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Pizza, steak.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Pizza, steak, yeah.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Any of those.
- 22:39Speaker 1: What's a.
- 22:40Speaker 7: Fried rice, any sort of noodle.
- 22:42Speaker 1: What's a food hill you're willing to die on? Like
- 22:44Speaker 1: a dish? Or like a way about doing something, a
- 22:47Speaker 1: way you cook something.
- 22:48Speaker 2: You know, it's like some people are like ketchup does
- 22:50Speaker 2: not belong with eggs.
- 22:53Speaker 3: Some people really like that.
- 22:54Speaker 7: I agree.
- 22:55Speaker 6: I don't agree.
- 22:55Speaker 3: I mean, yes, ketchup does not belong. Hot sauce? Chili oil? No,
- 23:01Speaker 3: thank you. Onions? You know, any of those, definitely. Ketchup
- 23:06Speaker 3: and eggs.
- 23:06Speaker 7: Ketchup and eggs. I mean, I get it. It's a
- 23:09Speaker 7: cringe for me, for sure. Um, I'm not a weird eater.
- 23:13Speaker 3: I'm really not.
- 23:13Speaker 7: My husband, on the other hand, he's a condiment King.
- 23:16Speaker 3: He puts condiments on everything. He's from Texas. Like, okay.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Does he carry around little a one packets? No, he doesn't.
- 23:23Speaker 3: But our, our, our fridge is.
- 23:25Speaker 7: Definitely, and it's like, the funny thing is I don't
- 23:28Speaker 7: mind condiments in the right place, like hot sauce and
- 23:31Speaker 7: all those types of things. But he's the guy who,
- 23:33Speaker 7: who will literally put ketchup and eggs and literally syrup
- 23:37Speaker 7: and pancakes all together.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Right.
- 23:39Speaker 3: And it's just, what's the point of cooking? Where it
- 23:41Speaker 3: kind of touches and I'm a little more anal with
- 23:43Speaker 3: my food. Yes, I did.
- 23:45Speaker 7: Yep.
- 23:46Speaker 3: I did.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Love it.
- 23:47Speaker 3: I did 22 years. We've been married.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Congratulations.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Yeah. It's crazy. Crazy.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Even with all his weird eating habits.
- 23:53Speaker 3: I guess it's all going to the same place, but yeah,
- 23:55Speaker 3: it's still strange.
- 23:56Speaker 1: That's what he says, but I'm like, no, but you know,
- 24:00Speaker 1: I feel you, especially on the, on the breakfast items.
- 24:02Speaker 1: I don't, I don't think a syrup should ever touch
- 24:05Speaker 1: an egg. That's where I am now.
- 24:07Speaker 3: The only place that that could happen is a McGriddle.
- 24:09Speaker 3: It's actually pretty good. I'm sorry to try. It's pretty good.
- 24:12Speaker 7: Well, I think when I met him, he was eating
- 24:14Speaker 7: a lot of that McDonald's McGriddle stuff.
- 24:16Speaker 3: So that's what his sort of, you know, idea was.
- 24:18Speaker 5: There's something about that McGriddle that just hits.
- 24:21Speaker 1: How did you guys meet?
- 24:21Speaker 3: We got set up on a blind date, actually.
- 24:23Speaker 1: No way.
- 24:24Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 24:25Speaker 1: That's amazing. And it worked out.
- 24:26Speaker 3: And it worked out.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Doesn't often.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Doesn't often.
- 24:28Speaker 2: It's kind of difficult to go on a blind date
- 24:30Speaker 2: these days. Somebody could just be like, what's their first name?
- 24:33Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Do you follow this person?
- 24:35Speaker 7: It was more of a setup with somebody that I
- 24:37Speaker 7: was close with and then he was working with her.
- 24:39Speaker 7: So it was kind of, that was sort of the
- 24:41Speaker 7: blind aspect. I, you know, I didn't know what he
- 24:43Speaker 7: looked like or knew anything about him, but she kind
- 24:45Speaker 7: of vouched for him a little bit.
- 24:46Speaker 3: She had been working with him for the last week.
- 24:47Speaker 3: So that's really cool.
- 24:49Speaker 1: That's wonderful.
- 24:49Speaker 3: It's crazy. I know.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Are we the game fun game or at least should
- 24:53Speaker 1: be fun.
- 24:53Speaker 3: We'll try to make it fun.
- 24:56Speaker 1: We'll see.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Or not.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Sometimes it's not.
- 24:58Speaker 7: Okay. Okay.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Uh, this one's called the saved by the bell game. Really?
- 25:07Speaker 7: Yep.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Are going to walk us through the rules of the game.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Okay. You have to think of what your number one
- 25:11Speaker 3: hot take is. So that can mean anything. It can
- 25:14Speaker 3: mean you shouldn't have ketchup with eggs. You have an
- 25:16Speaker 3: undisclosed amount of time to defend your hot take. Why
- 25:20Speaker 3: are you right? Okay.
- 25:22Speaker 2: The clock starts now. I heard this today and I
- 25:27Speaker 2: immediately started thinking, you know what? This could be true.
- 25:30Speaker 2: that rocks are squishy until you touch them, and they
- 25:35Speaker 2: get spooked out that you come and grab one, and
- 25:38Speaker 2: they just tense up.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Wait, this is a conspiracy theory. Wait, so rocks are alive.
- 25:44Speaker 3: I guess this is a conspiracy theory, yeah.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I got the game wrong, guys.
- 25:47Speaker 3: Damn it.
- 25:47Speaker 1: No, defend it, though.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Defend it. I mean, do you really believe it? Sure,
- 25:52Speaker 3: for the sake of the game.
- 25:53Speaker 2: I think, you know, I see a rock, and I'm like,
- 25:56Speaker 2: that guy is definitely squishy, and I walk in, and
- 25:58Speaker 2: he's like, because look a lot of rocks okay i
- 26:01Speaker 2: lost you guys i lost my train of thought anyway
- 26:04Speaker 2: once i realized that i've done the game wrong i
- 26:06Speaker 2: can go back to a hot take.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Yeah thank you all right interesting all right i like
- 26:10Speaker 1: it all right.
- 26:10Speaker 3: You know okay joe no one knows you could be
- 26:13Speaker 3: right exactly.
- 26:14Speaker 7: So your theory i'm just i had one more question
- 26:16Speaker 7: before we got your theory is that they're all squishy
- 26:19Speaker 7: until you touch them and they magically turn.
- 26:22Speaker 3: And then they tense up they tense up yeah It's
- 26:25Speaker 3: like a Toy Story toy, right? They're alive until they
- 26:27Speaker 3: walk in the room.
- 26:27Speaker 1: It's kind of like if a tree falls in the forest,
- 26:30Speaker 1: can you hear it at all type thing, right? You're
- 26:32Speaker 1: trying to say that basically you don't know because you
- 26:35Speaker 1: don't know what you don't know.
- 26:36Speaker 7: Do you also believe all your dolls have real lives
- 26:39Speaker 7: like when you leave and then they all play together?
- 26:42Speaker 1: Behind you.
- 26:42Speaker 2: All the dolls behind you. These are toys, not dolls, okay?
- 26:47Speaker 2: there's a couple of dolls, but yes, I was just curious.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Like, do you believe that? Um, I mean, obviously the
- 26:53Speaker 3: buzz and buzz and Woody.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:54Speaker 3: Duh. Of course.
- 26:55Speaker 7: Right. Yeah.
- 26:56Speaker 1: And rep and what's his name?
- 26:58Speaker 3: Kev T-Rex.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:00Speaker 3: Thank you. I knew he knew.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Let's go Kevin.
- 27:02Speaker 3: All right.
- 27:02Speaker 5: You know, when you walk into a restaurant and they
- 27:04Speaker 5: set down your, your lovely meal and then someone that's
- 27:09Speaker 5: working there, waiter, waitress walks up and says, Hey, would
- 27:12Speaker 5: you like some Cracked pepper with that.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Oh, I know what this is going to be.
- 27:15Speaker 5: And you're sitting there and you haven't had a single
- 27:17Speaker 5: bite yet.
- 27:18Speaker 3: And you're like, well, I don't know. Does it need it?
- 27:21Speaker 5: Did the chef not finish it? So it kind of
- 27:24Speaker 5: irritates me that I don't know if I need it
- 27:26Speaker 5: or not because I haven't even tried it yet. So
- 27:29Speaker 5: should we be walking around with pepper just because we
- 27:32Speaker 5: like more pepper on things?
- 27:33Speaker 1: Keep going. You got more time on the clock. We
- 27:35Speaker 1: need to defend this.
- 27:35Speaker 3: That's all I got, I think, on this. Can we
- 27:38Speaker 3: start asking questions? Sure, go for it. This will help. Well,
- 27:40Speaker 3: so I live.
- 27:41Speaker 7: With a husband who loves a lot of pepper, like
- 27:43Speaker 7: more than usual. Do you think it's probably because they're
- 27:46Speaker 7: servicing to people like that?
- 27:48Speaker 3: Probably.
- 27:49Speaker 5: But I feel like, isn't it a little disrespectful? It's
- 27:50Speaker 5: like going to a steak restaurant and asking for steak
- 27:52Speaker 5: sauce with this cook made, you know, the chef made
- 27:54Speaker 5: an incredible steak.
- 27:55Speaker 3: But I don't feel like it's disrespectful. I also have
- 27:57Speaker 3: another question. Why aren't they asking for salt? Because some
- 27:59Speaker 3: people like more salt.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Totally.
- 28:01Speaker 3: I feel like people usually like more salt than they do.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Here's all the different things I could have put on.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Here's more rosemary because, yeah. Yeah. Interesting. It's only peppers,
- 28:09Speaker 3: never salt.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I know.
- 28:11Speaker 3: That's why it's kind of, you're making me think.
- 28:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:13Speaker 2: All right.
- 28:14Speaker 3: That's good, Kev.
- 28:14Speaker 7: Okay.
- 28:15Speaker 1: That's good.
- 28:16Speaker 3: That is good.
- 28:17Speaker 5: And it's also weird when they come in and it's
- 28:20Speaker 5: like two times the size of something that's normal.
- 28:22Speaker 3: That's just cool. That's just showing off. That's just cool.
- 28:25Speaker 6: Showbiz.
- 28:25Speaker 3: That's just showing off. That's just for the show.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Okay. I have one. Clock starts.
- 28:30Speaker 3: I think I have one.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Now, let me paint the picture for you. Okay. You
- 28:35Speaker 1: move into a new home.
- 28:36Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 28:36Speaker 1: You've got spaces to fill. You want a couch there.
- 28:39Speaker 1: You want a coffee table here. Perhaps a piece of art. Something.
- 28:43Speaker 1: And you go to a furniture store. And you say to...
- 28:46Speaker 1: person working the store i'd like a coffee table and
- 28:49Speaker 1: this spot and a couch here and they say great
- 28:53Speaker 1: let's get you you know sorted out you're excited you
- 28:57Speaker 1: got all these pieces you picked out you feel like
- 28:59Speaker 1: your house is really coming together and it's like a
- 29:01Speaker 1: new chapter in your life it's gonna you can make
- 29:02Speaker 1: a lot of memories in the space and they said
- 29:04Speaker 1: it's gonna take somewhere between 18 and 24 months to
- 29:08Speaker 1: get your shit at your house And you say, why
- 29:12Speaker 1: is this place so big and you have no storage
- 29:15Speaker 1: for anything? Why can't you just buy that piece or
- 29:17Speaker 1: do this? You can't.
- 29:18Speaker 7: No.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Because it's going to take 18 to 24 months. Now
- 29:21Speaker 1: I get supply chain. I get that there's all these
- 29:23Speaker 1: other factors. And listen, having a place to put your
- 29:26Speaker 1: stuff and a seat to sit in is a blessing.
- 29:28Speaker 1: It is such a privilege. But if you're going to
- 29:31Speaker 1: buy a piece of furniture, a pillow even, shouldn't you
- 29:34Speaker 1: be able to just walk out of a store with
- 29:36Speaker 1: a pillow at least?
- 29:37Speaker 3: Or condense it You didn't even get a pillow. Nothing.
- 29:40Speaker 1: 18 months.
- 29:41Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 29:43Speaker 1: There you go.
- 29:44Speaker 2: I mean, I think you're soft. You're soft as a
- 29:46Speaker 2: flea market, my friend.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:50Speaker 7: I mean, I think a lot of these places you
- 29:51Speaker 7: have to it's it's some of it is personalized, right?
- 29:55Speaker 3: With like the type of fabric or what stain you
- 29:57Speaker 3: want or things like that. I mean, that's what it is.
- 29:59Speaker 3: But I get the frustration. Yeah, I get that. We
- 30:02Speaker 3: see you, Nick.
- 30:03Speaker 1: All right. Your turn.
- 30:04Speaker 3: OK, my turn.
- 30:06Speaker 7: It was something I heard you guys were debating a
- 30:08Speaker 7: little bit ago.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Toilet paper. Hot topic.
- 30:13Speaker 7: It's a very hot topic, but to a certain degree,
- 30:16Speaker 7: I don't think it is. There's only one way to
- 30:18Speaker 7: have your toilet paper and it needs to be over.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Correct.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Anybody who has under has something wrong with them.
- 30:26Speaker 7: Yep.
- 30:27Speaker 3: You pull it, it pulls more than you're wasting.
- 30:30Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Correct.
- 30:31Speaker 7: On the top, you don't. You pull exactly what you
- 30:34Speaker 7: want and then it stops because it catches on itself.
- 30:37Speaker 7: It's kind of like, you know, the cotton over it
- 30:40Speaker 7: catches it. But if you have it on the underneath,
- 30:42Speaker 7: you go like this, you have to use two hands.
- 30:44Speaker 3: It could just keep rolling up.
- 30:44Speaker 7: So then you're kind of leaning over a little bit more,
- 30:47Speaker 7: which is sometimes not a good thing.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Not a good thing.
- 30:50Speaker 3: There's no... There's no.
- 30:52Speaker 1: I don't actually have a debate the other way, but
- 30:54Speaker 1: what would you say in response to someone that was like, well, well,
- 30:56Speaker 1: this is why I like it this way.
- 30:58Speaker 3: You just say, but you need to tell me why
- 31:00Speaker 3: is it that you like it this way?
- 31:01Speaker 1: I got to think of something quick. Um, I can't
- 31:04Speaker 1: think of it. I agree with you.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:07Speaker 1: I think that's a hot take.
- 31:07Speaker 3: That was great.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Very good one.
- 31:08Speaker 3: I think it's the correct one. I know, but it's,
- 31:11Speaker 3: it's to me, there's no, well, we didn't.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Think about it like that or, you know, that makes
- 31:15Speaker 2: a lot of sense. You're wasting a lot more toilet paper.
- 31:17Speaker 3: You're wasting a lot more.
- 31:19Speaker 1: We have a voicemail from Madison, and she's asking for
- 31:22Speaker 1: some advice.
- 31:23Speaker 6: My name is Madison, and I'm from Georgia. So I
- 31:29Speaker 6: want to know, how do I convince my husband that
- 31:32Speaker 6: it is time to buy a minivan? I have been
- 31:37Speaker 6: babysitting since I was a teenager.
- 31:39Speaker 3: I'm 32 now.
- 31:41Speaker 6: And we have two kids. I have two sisters that
- 31:43Speaker 6: live really close by. Their kids are with us all
- 31:46Speaker 6: the time. And we have, like, a small SUV right now.
- 31:50Speaker 6: And I need a minivan. But my husband is very
- 31:52Speaker 6: anti-getting one. So how do I convince him that we
- 31:57Speaker 6: need one and that now is the time?
- 32:01Speaker 3: I'm not anti-minivan. I think minivans are rad.
- 32:05Speaker 7: Yeah, there's some badass minivans out there. I think they're super,
- 32:08Speaker 7: super cool. I did have one when my kids were little.
- 32:13Speaker 7: So I'm a total fan of minivans. Now, I will
- 32:17Speaker 7: say I got made fun of a lot, but I
- 32:20Speaker 7: was very secure in myself and knowing that I could
- 32:24Speaker 7: have a minivan and still feel cool. My kids are
- 32:27Speaker 7: older now. You know, I don't need a minivan, but
- 32:29Speaker 7: I was very pro minivan back then.
- 32:31Speaker 3: And if she's the one who's driving it, why does
- 32:33Speaker 3: it matter?
- 32:33Speaker 7: Exactly.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 32:35Speaker 3: It sounds like she's the one who's driving it, right?
- 32:36Speaker 5: I think the argument, I think from what I'm gathering
- 32:38Speaker 5: is the argument is, no, we only have, there's only
- 32:40Speaker 5: four of us, but then she's driving like way more children.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:44Speaker 7: And that only gets more as your kids have more
- 32:47Speaker 7: playdates and you're taking them around to sports.
- 32:50Speaker 3: We are that family. They're always at our house. So
- 32:52Speaker 3: like we need like a trailer in the back. Same, same, same.
- 32:55Speaker 3: And they're safe. They're safe cars. And when you go
- 32:58Speaker 3: to the airport, even if it's just the four of you,
- 33:00Speaker 3: The luggage.
- 33:00Speaker 1: The luggage.
- 33:01Speaker 3: And you've got the space.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Put the thing down. You're good to go.
- 33:03Speaker 3: That's exactly right.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Hyundai makes some great minivans.
- 33:06Speaker 3: Hyundai does make an incredible minivan. Yeah. Okay.
- 33:09Speaker 1: We have a bowl of questions here.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Oh.
- 33:11Speaker 1: If you're down, this is basically just a bowl of questions.
- 33:14Speaker 3: Okay.
- 33:15Speaker 1: And there's nothing more to it.
- 33:17Speaker 3: Like my 11-year-old in the morning. Just a bowl of questions.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Bowl of questions.
- 33:23Speaker 7: All right.
- 33:24Speaker 3: A crow starts leaving you gifts. Very nice crow.
- 33:28Speaker 7: What do you hope it brings and what will it
- 33:30Speaker 7: actually bring? What it normally brings is a lot of
- 33:32Speaker 7: loud sounds in the morning way earlier than I'd like
- 33:35Speaker 7: it to bring.
- 33:37Speaker 3: What I hope it brings. I mean, the list is huge.
- 33:42Speaker 3: I would love for it to bring youth.
- 33:46Speaker 7: I'd love for it to bring an extra hour of sleep.
- 33:50Speaker 7: I would love for it to bring making sure my
- 33:52Speaker 7: kids are safe, watching over them. I mean, the list
- 33:55Speaker 7: is like endless.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Three good ones. Good sleep. Extra energy. Extra energy.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Someone to go to the gym for me if I
- 34:02Speaker 3: don't feel like it.
- 34:04Speaker 1: That would be incredible.
- 34:05Speaker 3: I mean, there's lots of things, right? I love that idea. Yeah.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Well, we are so glad you chose to come and
- 34:09Speaker 1: be on the pod. So thanks for.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Thank you so much. Thank you so much for having me. Yeah.
- 34:13Speaker 3: Thank you. Congratulations.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Coven Academy.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Coven Academy. October 1st. October 1st on Freeform.
- 34:19Speaker 7: And then October 2nd on Disney Plus and Hulu.
- 34:24Speaker 3: So exciting.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Love it.
- 34:26Speaker 3: We will be watching.
- 34:27Speaker 6: Thanks.
