- 0:02Speaker 1: This is an unspoiled network podcast. This is spoil Me,
- 0:09Speaker 1: covering one piece episodes five ninety two through five ninety
- 0:15Speaker 1: four to annihilate the straw Hats legendary assassins, descend, save
- 0:22Speaker 1: Nami Lufy's fight on the snow Capped Mountains, and formed
- 0:27Speaker 1: Loofy and Law's pirate alliance. In these episodes, Law is
- 0:36Speaker 1: working with Caesar Clown. But now isn't I guess I Law.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I just don't know how to feel about Law. I
- 0:52Speaker 1: just don't Welcome to spoil me. Welcome to the show everyone.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I am Natasha. Thank you very much to Florian for
- 1:19Speaker 1: commissioning this episode. So y'all, this is such a weird
- 1:25Speaker 1: thing because I just didn't you know, there's there's We
- 1:33Speaker 1: have this scene where Law is sitting with Caesar Clown.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I'm jimping ahead here, forgive me, but this is the
- 1:40Speaker 1: part that I'm like the most concerned about. And he
- 1:45Speaker 1: hears that like Caesar Clown has given the children this
- 1:50Speaker 1: uh drugged candy to keep them from leaving. Right now,
- 1:56Speaker 1: I will say, evidently Law didn't know the children were
- 2:04Speaker 1: being drugged like this. It's unclear to me still if
- 2:08Speaker 1: Law was aware that the testing was being done on
- 2:12Speaker 1: children to begin with, but I think he did know
- 2:16Speaker 1: based on the way that he like outlines what's going
- 2:20Speaker 1: on later and he says that like making the children
- 2:24Speaker 1: into giants was part of the military experiment. I don't
- 2:30Speaker 1: see how he has that information already and didn't know
- 2:35Speaker 1: what was really going on here. I have to assume
- 2:38Speaker 1: he knew, and due to that, I really feel weird
- 2:43Speaker 1: about allying with him. On the one hand, the point
- 2:49Speaker 1: that is made later about how Loufy doesn't see alliances
- 2:53Speaker 1: the same way that a lot of other people see alliances,
- 2:57Speaker 1: so that Law will probably be over road whenever he
- 3:04Speaker 1: tries to do something particularly terrible. That gives me some
- 3:08Speaker 1: comfort that, like in an alliance, Lufy is still pretty
- 3:12Speaker 1: much in charge, right, So I'm trying to believe that
- 3:17Speaker 1: Law won't be able to get up to anything truly awful.
- 3:21Speaker 1: But I am just still so deeply uncomfortable with the
- 3:25Speaker 1: fact that he threw in with Caesar Clown. I evidently
- 3:31Speaker 1: knowing plenty about what Caesar Clown was up to, and
- 3:36Speaker 1: the drugs, the drugs candy, That's the only thing that
- 3:40Speaker 1: it seems like he wasn't aware of the extent of
- 3:42Speaker 1: this that these kids had been made into addicts essentially,
- 3:48Speaker 1: and he has the grace to look kind of horrified
- 3:52Speaker 1: by this. But I just really wanted something to be
- 3:59Speaker 1: like more shocking to him, so that he really backed
- 4:03Speaker 1: off and was sort of, oh, you know what, I like,
- 4:07Speaker 1: I didn't know this something. I wanted a scene where
- 4:12Speaker 1: I really felt like we get confirmation he didn't know
- 4:19Speaker 1: some of the worst parts of what was happening here,
- 4:23Speaker 1: and we don't get that, and I I just I
- 4:31Speaker 1: understand that the reality of life is that sometimes we've
- 4:35Speaker 1: got to ally with people that aren't the best, right,
- 4:39Speaker 1: I get it. However, I just feel like I want
- 4:48Speaker 1: more than that from Trafalgar Law. After having seen him
- 4:52Speaker 1: help Loofy, I raised my estimation of what he was
- 4:56Speaker 1: capable of and how good of a guy he is,
- 4:58Speaker 1: I think, And so I'm more disappointed than I might
- 5:02Speaker 1: have been otherwise at seeing who he is willing to
- 5:07Speaker 1: throw in with. So anyway, I'm gonna back up start
- 5:12Speaker 1: at the episode five ninety two to annihilate the straw Hats,
- 5:17Speaker 1: and we get the the story in this one about
- 5:23Speaker 1: exactly how Trafalgar came to be here in the first place.
- 5:29Speaker 1: So he's being told about these two, you know, the
- 5:35Speaker 1: two that are sent to take care of the straw hats,
- 5:38Speaker 1: and the vibe in there, it's just this is this
- 5:44Speaker 1: is really the thing, you guys, Like Trafalgar is just
- 5:48Speaker 1: chilling in what feels sort of like the living room
- 5:53Speaker 1: with Caesar and with this green woman, this bird woman,
- 5:59Speaker 1: listening to them talking about how three of the straw
- 6:04Speaker 1: hats are dead. And while he doesn't look super happy
- 6:12Speaker 1: about it, he doesn't do anything here. And this is
- 6:18Speaker 1: what I'm saying, you know, I just don't feel like
- 6:21Speaker 1: I understand him. So the two Yetti's, the cool brothers,
- 6:29Speaker 1: they are reporting that they kill three of the straw hats,
- 6:34Speaker 1: and of course that does not turn out to be
- 6:39Speaker 1: the case. I don't know how they like made this
- 6:43Speaker 1: big a mistake, but evidently they did. And they are
- 6:48Speaker 1: being sort of like there's a sort of in between
- 6:52Speaker 1: Gopher that is like, wait, you killed them, And they
- 6:55Speaker 1: basically say, hey, if you didn't want us to kill them,
- 6:58Speaker 1: you should have somebody else to do the job, which
- 7:02Speaker 1: honestly is kind of funny because this is something that
- 7:05Speaker 1: is in a lot of different properties that I have covered.
- 7:10Speaker 1: It is sort of the sentiment often is if you
- 7:15Speaker 1: are a very good fighter, it can be more difficult
- 7:21Speaker 1: to fight to surrender than it is to fight to
- 7:26Speaker 1: the death. You know that stopping fighting in time it's
- 7:30Speaker 1: not easy to do if you are somebody who is
- 7:33Speaker 1: super agro and also like tends to be more powerful
- 7:36Speaker 1: than the people around you. And I just really got
- 7:39Speaker 1: that from these guys, that they're just like, if you
- 7:42Speaker 1: ask us to do a thing, it's the equivalent of
- 7:45Speaker 1: like firing a missile. So if you didn't expect this
- 7:50Speaker 1: to be the way it worked, I don't know what
- 7:52Speaker 1: you called us in for. But yeah, and the dudes
- 7:57Speaker 1: who are talking to them seem pretty afraid of the
- 7:59Speaker 1: two of them as well, so they clearly have some
- 8:02Speaker 1: sort of a reputation. Meanwhile, this I can't I still
- 8:07Speaker 1: can't remember her name, guys, I'm so sorry, But the
- 8:09Speaker 1: bird lady, she's like leafing through this book with all
- 8:13Speaker 1: of their bounties and descriptions of them, and she is
- 8:17Speaker 1: saying how disappointed she is because she really thought, based
- 8:22Speaker 1: on the reputation that these guys had, that they were
- 8:26Speaker 1: going to be more of a barrier, more difficult to beat,
- 8:34Speaker 1: and she's just sort of like I was kind of
- 8:38Speaker 1: interested in seeing what happened with them, and already they're
- 8:41Speaker 1: taken out. So this is when she brings up the
- 8:46Speaker 1: fact that Trafalgar helped them, like and has met them
- 8:51Speaker 1: a couple different times. And Caesar reacts to this pretty
- 8:58Speaker 1: much the way that you would expect, by thinking that
- 9:01Speaker 1: Trafalgar summoned the straw hats here on purpose. And it's
- 9:08Speaker 1: a weird thing because like the straw hats end up here.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I think it's just a turn of phrase. Later, because
- 9:18Speaker 1: the straw hats are here by accident. Really they managed
- 9:21Speaker 1: to pick up a signal from somebody calling for help, right,
- 9:24Speaker 1: And yet later on, Trafalgar Law meets with Lufy and
- 9:28Speaker 1: is like, I wanted you to meet me here so
- 9:31Speaker 1: that we could talk. And it just sort of felt
- 9:34Speaker 1: like he was saying like I wanted to meet you
- 9:38Speaker 1: on the island, but I think he just meant like
- 9:41Speaker 1: I left Caesar clown slow, what's the word I want here? Layer,
- 9:48Speaker 1: I guess, so that we could talk. So yeah, Caesar
- 9:52Speaker 1: konn draws a fucking gun on him and is like, what,
- 9:58Speaker 1: I can't believe that you would do that, And Trafalgar
- 10:02Speaker 1: lat is like, dude, I know they were even here
- 10:06Speaker 1: until I ran into them out front, And if I
- 10:11Speaker 1: had known that that was who you were dealing with,
- 10:15Speaker 1: I would have told you not to just lock them
- 10:17Speaker 1: in a cell, because that isn't going to work. These
- 10:20Speaker 1: are not people that you can just put in a
- 10:22Speaker 1: cell and leave alone, and they're not going to get out.
- 10:27Speaker 1: And he calls Caesar clown negligent, which I thought was
- 10:32Speaker 1: actually kind of dope. I wasn't able to drive the
- 10:38Speaker 1: Navy out, and it's thanks to you. If this operation
- 10:41Speaker 1: were exposed, it'd be just as bad for me as
- 10:44Speaker 1: it would for you. Why though, why exactly I still
- 10:52Speaker 1: and I when he says I tried to clear them
- 11:01Speaker 1: off and that didn't work out because of you? Is that.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I'm trying to think back to how it went, and
- 11:07Speaker 1: I'm not entirely sure if that's true. I feel like
- 11:12Speaker 1: it was more a maybe it's the fact that he
- 11:17Speaker 1: didn't know about the kids, or that he wasn't informed
- 11:20Speaker 1: about the straw Hats, and so them coming running out
- 11:24Speaker 1: the way that they did made him look bad to
- 11:26Speaker 1: the Marines and like he was sort of in league
- 11:29Speaker 1: with them. I guess that's what he means is just
- 11:31Speaker 1: if I had been kept more informed, none of this
- 11:34Speaker 1: would have even happened. So anyway, getting bogged down in
- 11:40Speaker 1: this a little bit, but it's honestly the part that
- 11:42Speaker 1: I find the most interesting is the relationship between Caesar
- 11:45Speaker 1: Clown and Trafalgar. It's sort of fun because, like a
- 11:51Speaker 1: lot of times, you guys, I have this uh when
- 11:59Speaker 1: we come across new villains in this universe. It really
- 12:05Speaker 1: can be kind of all over the place the way
- 12:09Speaker 1: that I feel about them. We have had some really
- 12:13Speaker 1: fun ones, some compelling ones, and then we have had
- 12:17Speaker 1: some real stinkers. And I really am enjoying the dynamic
- 12:24Speaker 1: here of Law being in the mix, somebody that I
- 12:27Speaker 1: otherwise like, because it throws a different angle onto everything,
- 12:34Speaker 1: and Caesar Clown is a villain that he is actually
- 12:39Speaker 1: standing on his own, a pretty solidly built villain. I
- 12:43Speaker 1: think you guys like my particular aversion to medical experimentation.
- 12:52Speaker 1: It could either work for or against him, and I
- 12:55Speaker 1: feel like it's working for him. It's making him more scary,
- 12:58Speaker 1: It's making this whole thing feel really ichy, which makes
- 13:02Speaker 1: him seem more intimidating, and like somebody like, no, we
- 13:05Speaker 1: really need to deal with this guy, you know. But
- 13:10Speaker 1: even so, had I not felt as compelled by Caesar
- 13:16Speaker 1: Clown alone as I do, I feel that throwing Law
- 13:20Speaker 1: into the mix makes it way more interesting. I really
- 13:24Speaker 1: like feel like what am I missing here? What is happening?
- 13:27Speaker 1: You know? So I just I this part, and the
- 13:34Speaker 1: reason I'm focusing on it is because stuff with the
- 13:37Speaker 1: straw hats. I feel like we're getting a lot of
- 13:40Speaker 1: silly interactions, and you know, it's fun, but it's not
- 13:44Speaker 1: as the plot isn't moving along as much when we
- 13:50Speaker 1: are with them as it is when we are inside
- 13:53Speaker 1: the layer. So every time we go back in here,
- 13:56Speaker 1: I'm sort of like, Okay, let's see what we find
- 13:58Speaker 1: out now, because getting just little dollops of information along
- 14:03Speaker 1: the way. So we have this flashback to when Caesar
- 14:08Speaker 1: Clown first meets Trafalgar Law and is like, so wait,
- 14:13Speaker 1: you want to stay here? And Trafalgar is saying like
- 14:17Speaker 1: it was a pain in the ass to get here.
- 14:20Speaker 1: And I know that this used to be doctor Vegapunk's laboratory,
- 14:23Speaker 1: so there must be records of all the government research
- 14:26Speaker 1: that happened here, and that is as forthcoming as I
- 14:30Speaker 1: am willing to be right. Now, here's the deal. What
- 14:34Speaker 1: I want is free roam of the lab and the island.
- 14:37Speaker 1: So what do you say in exchange? I'll provide you
- 14:42Speaker 1: with my assistance and will stay out of each other's business.
- 14:45Speaker 1: But there's one condition. You can't tell anyone I'm here.
- 14:50Speaker 1: And then he says, not even Joker. I feel like
- 14:58Speaker 1: we have heard this name before. But you know, considering
- 15:02Speaker 1: how much Caesar Clam reminds me of Joker every now
- 15:04Speaker 1: and then, especially around the mouth, I'm pretty like surprised
- 15:09Speaker 1: that we've got a Joker character here. And uh, Caesar says,
- 15:15Speaker 1: so you know, do you where'd you get that information?
- 15:19Speaker 1: And Trafalgart just says, would you rather an ignorant idiot
- 15:24Speaker 1: wandering here or somebody like me? And Caesar Clown says,
- 15:29Speaker 1: you know, I don't trust you, But I also can't
- 15:35Speaker 1: really think why this is a bad idea. I don't
- 15:40Speaker 1: see the harm. Monet, that's her name, He says, what
- 15:44Speaker 1: do you think, Monet? And he looks over at her
- 15:47Speaker 1: and she doesn't have any wings. She's just a regular lady.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Her hair is green, granted, which is a little less regular,
- 15:58Speaker 1: but not unheard of. And yeah, this, uh like I'm
- 16:05Speaker 1: assuming she calls him the surgeon of death. She calls
- 16:12Speaker 1: Trafalgar Law the surgeon of death who consumed an op
- 16:18Speaker 1: op fruit. I don't remember, guys, if we ever actually
- 16:27Speaker 1: heard the name of the fruit. I feel like this
- 16:30Speaker 1: is the first time. And is that what it's supposed
- 16:35Speaker 1: to be. When he like moves one personality or one spirit,
- 16:40Speaker 1: I guess you could say to a different body, it's
- 16:43Speaker 1: supposed to be sort of like the equivalent of an operation.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I guess, like, I don't hate it, it's I'm just
- 16:54Speaker 1: that is not what I would have thought of. But
- 16:59Speaker 1: I guess when he said room, it's like operating room, right,
- 17:04Speaker 1: Like this is the room I'm in. That is really interesting.
- 17:08Speaker 1: I feel like Trafalgar's power knowing this, there's so much
- 17:14Speaker 1: more potential, especially because obviously Oda is already thinking outside
- 17:18Speaker 1: the box, so I'm not ready for this. And she
- 17:25Speaker 1: mentions to Trafalgar, We've actually got some patients here who
- 17:31Speaker 1: have been paralyzed by poison gas. So you can help them,
- 17:36Speaker 1: can't you. And it was interesting because they are all
- 17:40Speaker 1: like being floated around with little clouds. I think they're
- 17:43Speaker 1: meant to just be maybe like helium balloons or something.
- 17:47Speaker 1: But they are very much reminding me of being on
- 17:50Speaker 1: Fishman Island and the way that the mermaids and stuff
- 17:53Speaker 1: would get around when they were on land. And these
- 17:58Speaker 1: it also, I couldn't help but think of I can't
- 18:03Speaker 1: remember his name, but y'all, if you've read Dune, you
- 18:06Speaker 1: know who I'm talking about. The villain who is like
- 18:09Speaker 1: a huge obese man that's being carried around by like
- 18:15Speaker 1: machinery basically that floats, and he has a very sinister
- 18:23Speaker 1: vibe to him. Because of that floating sort of presence,
- 18:29Speaker 1: these guys not quite the same. They really feel like
- 18:32Speaker 1: they're more on a ride at a carnival. But nevertheless,
- 18:37Speaker 1: it's interesting to me that like the way that we
- 18:41Speaker 1: have seen things operating so far is that Caesar Clown
- 18:45Speaker 1: does not seem to give any fucks about people being
- 18:49Speaker 1: hurt by his weapons or his gases. So the fact
- 18:53Speaker 1: that we've got some patients that are paralyzed and that
- 18:58Speaker 1: they are looking for a way to help them genuinely
- 19:02Speaker 1: surprise me. And I'm sort of wondering if this is
- 19:06Speaker 1: just Monete, if Caesar Cloan doesn't give a shit about them,
- 19:10Speaker 1: and Monette is the one that's sort of working on
- 19:12Speaker 1: this or I don't know how. Maybe it's just like
- 19:18Speaker 1: part of the experimentation, and I'm giving it too much credit,
- 19:22Speaker 1: Like I'm seeing it as they want to help these
- 19:25Speaker 1: people out of empathy, but I'm sure that's not really
- 19:29Speaker 1: the motivating factor, right, it's well, this is how they
- 19:33Speaker 1: got paralyzed, so let's see if we can figure out
- 19:37Speaker 1: how to make it like unparalyze them, and just for
- 19:43Speaker 1: an experiment that this is like a fascinating question. So yeah,
- 19:50Speaker 1: we go back to the present and Caesar Clan is like,
- 19:53Speaker 1: all right, you know what, You're right. You would stand
- 19:59Speaker 1: to lose as much as me. Plus you had to
- 20:01Speaker 1: do a lot of sucking up to the government to
- 20:03Speaker 1: get this cushy job, so I don't think you would
- 20:07Speaker 1: risk losing everything by making a mess of things here.
- 20:10Speaker 1: I'm being silly. I'm sorry. It was very funny, you guys,
- 20:15Speaker 1: because like I said, I'm finding Caesar Clown pretty compelling
- 20:18Speaker 1: as a villain. And just him stopping and saying I'm
- 20:22Speaker 1: being silly, my apologies. I don't know if he is
- 20:27Speaker 1: legitimately like apologizing here. I felt like he was, But
- 20:32Speaker 1: I don't think we have ever heard ever a villain
- 20:37Speaker 1: actually apologized to anybody that he works with in this universe. Ever,
- 20:44Speaker 1: they always are painted as like you're questioning me and
- 20:50Speaker 1: then instantly killing that person or beating the shit out
- 20:53Speaker 1: of them. You know, Caesar Clown is being painted as
- 20:57Speaker 1: a lot more sympathetic. Not sympathetic, He's being painted is
- 21:03Speaker 1: just like a lot more reasonable in maybe a short
- 21:06Speaker 1: term way. He may be like, it may not be
- 21:13Speaker 1: that he is actually sorry and he is just trying
- 21:16Speaker 1: to be convincing to Trafalgar. But even so, that is
- 21:23Speaker 1: showing more intelligence than most of the villains that we
- 21:26Speaker 1: have run across before. They aren't even willing to give
- 21:29Speaker 1: a show of humility or being apologetic and admitting that
- 21:37Speaker 1: they fucked up. Their pride is too much for that.
- 21:41Speaker 1: So the fact that he's doing this is I think,
- 21:44Speaker 1: like kind of a market is not to say again
- 21:47Speaker 1: that this is just making him a more interesting villain,
- 21:50Speaker 1: not making him like a good guy. So I'm the
- 22:00Speaker 1: jumping ahead a little bit here. Uh we had we
- 22:04Speaker 1: already talked about the fact that Trafalgar finds out about
- 22:07Speaker 1: the kids and that they are having drugged candy. He
- 22:11Speaker 1: does not look pleased about this, but nevertheless he is
- 22:15Speaker 1: in it and we go over then to Uh. It's
- 22:22Speaker 1: gonna be so hard for me to keep track of
- 22:24Speaker 1: everybody because we had everybody switch bodies to begin with,
- 22:29Speaker 1: and now like by the end of this trio of episodes,
- 22:33Speaker 1: we have a few of them switch back, but not
- 22:36Speaker 1: all of them. So this is when the Uh two brothers,
- 22:43Speaker 1: the Yetti Pool Brothers, they bust into the spot where
- 22:48Speaker 1: Nami and Chopper are and this is at the same
- 22:55Speaker 1: time as Sanji and the group that he is with
- 22:58Speaker 1: sees the giant foot prints and begins to realize like,
- 23:02Speaker 1: oh shit, something is going on, and they hear like
- 23:06Speaker 1: what they think are explosions. So our friends are instantly like, Okay,
- 23:13Speaker 1: something is up here and I love it, Lufy says,
- 23:18Speaker 1: beast looking guys, big ones. We've got to go back.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Nommy and Chopper are in danger, and Nmmy is in
- 23:27Speaker 1: Frankie's body, but it seems like she doesn't know how
- 23:31Speaker 1: to use any of his abilities, like you know, she
- 23:35Speaker 1: doesn't know. There's a point where she's sort of like
- 23:38Speaker 1: making laser noises, but she isn't able to get any
- 23:45Speaker 1: I can't tell if she is unable to or if
- 23:50Speaker 1: it's just that she doesn't want to try because she
- 23:54Speaker 1: doesn't think that they're very like she holds lasers in
- 23:58Speaker 1: contempt a little bit, it feels like to me because
- 24:01Speaker 1: Chopper's assumption then is you're making fun of lasers, and
- 24:06Speaker 1: he gets very indignant about this. So I wasn't sure
- 24:11Speaker 1: if it was supposed to be, like I legit, don't
- 24:14Speaker 1: even know how to do it, or I could use them,
- 24:18Speaker 1: but I'm not gonna because lasers are fucking dumb guys,
- 24:22Speaker 1: you know. But I think that it is that she can't.
- 24:25Speaker 1: I feel as if if she could, she'd just go
- 24:28Speaker 1: ahead with it. At this point, so they're inside this
- 24:34Speaker 1: cave and like at this point they don't actually know
- 24:38Speaker 1: what is happening. There's just this like loud noise and
- 24:41Speaker 1: all of these rocks and snow and stuff are beginning
- 24:44Speaker 1: to like come crashing down on them from the ground
- 24:47Speaker 1: or from the ceiling. So Chopper in Sanji's body, he
- 24:52Speaker 1: climbs out and is trying to figure out what the
- 24:55Speaker 1: hell's going on. But he looks around and he doesn't
- 24:57Speaker 1: see anybody. So he's shouting back down on to Nami
- 25:00Speaker 1: like there is nobody out here. My guy. But we
- 25:04Speaker 1: see the smoking barrel of this gun, and one of
- 25:07Speaker 1: the brothers pop out and say, all right, let's do
- 25:10Speaker 1: this now. I will register my surprise at the fact
- 25:15Speaker 1: that these guys have guns. I never thought and we
- 25:21Speaker 1: may have seen it in there silhouettes at the end
- 25:23Speaker 1: of the last episode, but I never thought that these
- 25:26Speaker 1: dudes were going to need guns. They are so huge.
- 25:31Speaker 1: What's even the point, you know, just crush them with
- 25:34Speaker 1: your hands. Where do you even get guns that size?
- 25:38Speaker 1: I want to say, But then I figure probably Vega
- 25:41Speaker 1: Punk made them or Caesar Clown made them. I don't know.
- 25:46Speaker 1: So uh. Then we get this scene where it's really
- 25:53Speaker 1: it's so sad. Brown Beard knows who these two dudes are,
- 26:00Speaker 1: and he's keeping it to himself. But then he they
- 26:04Speaker 1: like press him and he basically gloats over the fact
- 26:09Speaker 1: that we've never actually seen these guys, but we have
- 26:16Speaker 1: worked with them before, and we know that anytime an
- 26:19Speaker 1: assassination is set up, they fucking handle it. And they're
- 26:24Speaker 1: mixed with some sort of beast because they're covered in fur,
- 26:29Speaker 1: and they like live outside and they come out whenever
- 26:34Speaker 1: there's like a blizzard, and their names are Scotch and rock,
- 26:41Speaker 1: which is very funny. Actually, I kind of love that
- 26:46Speaker 1: they're about twenty five years old, and I love nobody
- 26:50Speaker 1: knows what they look like, Lassie. Still, they're tough and
- 26:54Speaker 1: they've come to this cave to rescue me. You're in trouble.
- 26:58Speaker 1: If they're here, that means you're on there hit list, y'all.
- 27:06Speaker 1: I wanted to be more like, to be able to
- 27:10Speaker 1: gloat a little bit more over the fact that brown
- 27:13Speaker 1: Beard is so so wrong here, but I just didn't
- 27:17Speaker 1: have the heart. It is so sad because one of
- 27:21Speaker 1: the Yedtdie brothers instantly has his fucking gun. I don't
- 27:25Speaker 1: even want to call it a gun. It's like a cannon,
- 27:28Speaker 1: and he's pointing it right at brown Beard and he's like,
- 27:32Speaker 1: just so you know, you happen to be on our
- 27:35Speaker 1: list too, and brown Beard straight up like short circuits,
- 27:41Speaker 1: like he can't even process this because it's just there's
- 27:44Speaker 1: no way this is true, to the point that he
- 27:47Speaker 1: repeats back, you came here to kill me. Wait no, sorry,
- 27:52Speaker 1: I must have misheard you. Man. You had me really scared.
- 27:55Speaker 1: But the Master must have sent you here to help me, right,
- 27:58Speaker 1: just to unchain me. And I'll help you take care
- 28:01Speaker 1: of the straw hats, and one of them is like,
- 28:03Speaker 1: you didn't miss hear anything. The Master sent us here
- 28:08Speaker 1: to kill you. And he says that he doesn't believe them.
- 28:12Speaker 1: So this dude brings out a transponder snail and he
- 28:16Speaker 1: plays the recording so that Brownbeard actually gets to hear
- 28:21Speaker 1: him just not only assign him like to be killed,
- 28:25Speaker 1: but also you know, the idiot with the braids in
- 28:29Speaker 1: his beard, the one that everybody knows is a fucking moron,
- 28:32Speaker 1: Like he's just so insulting about it. He's a fool.
- 28:36Speaker 1: It's been easy to manipulate him, but now he's a nuisance,
- 28:40Speaker 1: so I don't need him anymore. Kill him. And honestly, y'all,
- 28:46Speaker 1: I think that was what really like took it to
- 28:48Speaker 1: another level. Just knowing that you have been betrayed by
- 28:51Speaker 1: somebody that you otherwise trusted already sucks, but this where
- 28:57Speaker 1: it's like, not only are you being betrayed, but and
- 29:00Speaker 1: you get to hear how much they completely hold you
- 29:05Speaker 1: in contempt, And that is I mean, there's something about
- 29:11Speaker 1: looking back, even in your brief moments. If he was
- 29:15Speaker 1: about to die right here, you have a moment to
- 29:18Speaker 1: think back to all of the times that you thought
- 29:20Speaker 1: this person actually gave a shit about you or respected
- 29:24Speaker 1: you or anything, and all of a sudden you're realizing
- 29:29Speaker 1: they were full of shit and they thought you were
- 29:32Speaker 1: an idiot the whole time. That is so so humiliating.
- 29:39Speaker 1: So I think that's why it kind of crossed over
- 29:42Speaker 1: from me being like haha, brown Beard to like, oh,
- 29:46Speaker 1: brown Beard, buddy, I'm sorry, you know. So anyway, Lufy,
- 29:54Speaker 1: it's Lufy, Sanji Nami, not Nammy, Robin and Frankie in
- 30:03Speaker 1: Chopper's body right that are coming to help. So we
- 30:11Speaker 1: jump over then back to a scene in the lab
- 30:19Speaker 1: and it's a flashback from Brownbeard's perspective where he's all
- 30:25Speaker 1: bandaged up, he's waking, and I really like this again,
- 30:33Speaker 1: you guys, because he's being talked to by Caesar Clown,
- 30:36Speaker 1: who is telling him there's no need to worry, You're
- 30:39Speaker 1: safe here. And you guys, there are so many times where,
- 30:43Speaker 1: like a villain, you get a flashback of them promising
- 30:48Speaker 1: something to somebody and you can't help but be like,
- 30:51Speaker 1: why did you fucking trust this guy? But actually, in
- 30:55Speaker 1: this flashback, Caesar Clown does feel a little bit like
- 31:01Speaker 1: he comes across as a little believable, as a decent guy.
- 31:07Speaker 1: You know, he seems to be have a real smile
- 31:11Speaker 1: on his face and kind of go, hey, you know what,
- 31:18Speaker 1: you really are safe. I know that you're probably concerned,
- 31:22Speaker 1: but please, it is of the utmost importance to me.
- 31:25Speaker 1: It's it's believable. And despite the fact that he has
- 31:29Speaker 1: a really freaking look to him, you know, set that aside.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Eventually we have brown Beard cracking up as he finds
- 31:41Speaker 1: out that he has got a whole new set of
- 31:44Speaker 1: crazy legs that I don't remember what. They're supposed to
- 31:47Speaker 1: have belonged to some sort of lizard, but it's like,
- 31:50Speaker 1: you know, not a lizard that I know of. And
- 31:55Speaker 1: it turns out this was the thing that when Monette
- 32:01Speaker 1: was talking to Trafalgar, I had been thinking this whole
- 32:06Speaker 1: time that these centaur guys were undoubtedly the work of
- 32:13Speaker 1: Caesar clown. Why would you not think that? And it
- 32:17Speaker 1: turns out it's fucking Trafalgar who did this, which like
- 32:22Speaker 1: they seem happy about it, so I guess it's fine,
- 32:25Speaker 1: since otherwise they wouldn't have been able to walk again.
- 32:28Speaker 1: But I really had like a moment of shock here
- 32:34Speaker 1: never saw that coming at all. And then we have
- 32:37Speaker 1: Caesar Clown like brown Beard coming in and reporting and
- 32:40Speaker 1: telling him what he has found on his roaming the island,
- 32:45Speaker 1: and Caesar Clown telling him what a fine patrolman he is.
- 32:50Speaker 1: So yeah, it's just such a bummer man. So the
- 32:55Speaker 1: shot gets fired, and brown Beard, it doubt probably isn't dead.
- 33:02Speaker 1: I don't know. He gets shot at like a bunch
- 33:05Speaker 1: of times though, so I don't really know if, like,
- 33:08Speaker 1: if we're gonna sacrifice anybody within this story, I feel
- 33:11Speaker 1: like you gotta sacrifice brown Beard. But so if I
- 33:15Speaker 1: didn't know that everybody is always alive right here, I'd
- 33:18Speaker 1: definitely be like, yeah, Batman is dead. He collapses in
- 33:23Speaker 1: such a way that I think, I think, but you know,
- 33:27Speaker 1: you never know. Meanwhile, Nami and Chopper are both really
- 33:36Speaker 1: horrified and confused because allegedly these dudes are on the
- 33:39Speaker 1: same side. So all of this is not only upsetting,
- 33:44Speaker 1: but also like, well, now we have even less of
- 33:47Speaker 1: a clue what the fuck is happening here. Finally, Loofy
- 33:52Speaker 1: manages to catch up, and he starts like running toward them,
- 33:56Speaker 1: gets shot and then bounces back, and he is like
- 34:03Speaker 1: a little bit more out of his element than usual
- 34:06Speaker 1: because he doesn't fight dudes this size, and also in
- 34:09Speaker 1: the snow that adds a sort of a little bit
- 34:14Speaker 1: of a hiccup to his things. So you know, he
- 34:17Speaker 1: gets stuck in the snow at one point and gets distracted,
- 34:21Speaker 1: and this is when Nami gets grabbed. She gets carried away,
- 34:28Speaker 1: and she like, I was a little bit bummed that
- 34:36Speaker 1: she winds up being the sort of damsel in distress,
- 34:39Speaker 1: but also, what can you do? I guess maybe it's
- 34:45Speaker 1: not because like they take her, not intending to take
- 34:50Speaker 1: her because she's not me. They don't realize that they
- 34:54Speaker 1: have had their bodies switched. So at least I can say,
- 34:59Speaker 1: in another storyline from this show, Nami would have been
- 35:03Speaker 1: taken because she's the woman and because she's hot, and
- 35:06Speaker 1: because there's some creepy plan for her. But at least
- 35:09Speaker 1: in this storyline, I can say it being Nammy is
- 35:14Speaker 1: a pure accident, and they actually wanted Frankie because they
- 35:19Speaker 1: want The reason that Caesar Clown is interested is that
- 35:24Speaker 1: he knows a bunch of Frankie's parts are actually vaga
- 35:29Speaker 1: punk technology, so he is looking forward to being able
- 35:33Speaker 1: to tear them apart, tear him apart, and you know,
- 35:38Speaker 1: whatever's left scrap metal and the rest of the tech,
- 35:41Speaker 1: maybe we can actually do something with this. So we
- 35:48Speaker 1: have a brief like stint. The stuff that's going on
- 35:52Speaker 1: with the Marines in front of the lab very little
- 35:57Speaker 1: interest to me, I'll be honest. This is all well,
- 36:00Speaker 1: we're kind of cutting back to it intermittently, I think,
- 36:03Speaker 1: just to remind us that there's anything happening, but we
- 36:07Speaker 1: aren't really focusing on this part of the story for
- 36:09Speaker 1: right now. So we have, you know, the clash between
- 36:15Speaker 1: Smoker and his guys and a bunch of the Centaurs.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Then we cut off to Trafalgar Law, who is told
- 36:24Speaker 1: that you can't leave when the navy is in the area,
- 36:27Speaker 1: and he uses his power on them, and this I
- 36:33Speaker 1: just always feel bad for like randoms who they're just
- 36:37Speaker 1: doing what they were told. You know, they're just fucking henchmen.
- 36:41Speaker 1: They don't know. And he just like uses room. He
- 36:45Speaker 1: pulls out his sword and swings it. And the way
- 36:50Speaker 1: that this is done is like we only see him
- 36:53Speaker 1: from that moment and he says, I don't give a damn.
- 36:56Speaker 1: You guys may not know this, but I go where
- 36:58Speaker 1: I want. And then the camera pulls out and we
- 37:02Speaker 1: see that the two of them have been beheaded. Now again,
- 37:07Speaker 1: this makes me kind of go all right, Trafalgar though
- 37:11Speaker 1: really like wow. But also one he is working with
- 37:22Speaker 1: the guy who's like, got these henchmen that he knows
- 37:26Speaker 1: this dude is kind of fucked up, So maybe killing
- 37:29Speaker 1: henchmen these are also bad guys and that's not so bad. Also,
- 37:35Speaker 1: we have seen that beheading people with his ability doesn't
- 37:38Speaker 1: necessarily kill them, so it may just look way more
- 37:43Speaker 1: savage than it actually is. You know, I don't know.
- 37:50Speaker 1: So we have the regrouping as everybody realizes that Nami
- 37:54Speaker 1: was carried off, and Frankie, who is in Chopper's body,
- 38:02Speaker 1: is getting very frustrated with the limitations of being this tiny,
- 38:07Speaker 1: free animal. So Chopper, like he asks him, I love it.
- 38:12Speaker 1: He asked Chopper for some of those what do you
- 38:16Speaker 1: call them? The Oh my god, I've already forgotten the
- 38:19Speaker 1: name and they just said it. But the whatever the
- 38:22Speaker 1: little power balls are, that's the word I want, uh,
- 38:26Speaker 1: And he is demanding that he used ones that he
- 38:31Speaker 1: can get bigger and be in a body to which
- 38:35Speaker 1: he is more accustomed, and Chopper is like, dude, they're
- 38:41Speaker 1: in your pocket already, like you're in my body, So
- 38:45Speaker 1: that's where they already are. And I love that, just
- 38:48Speaker 1: Frankie being like, wait, they were there the whole time,
- 38:51Speaker 1: and I was like, yeah, it's his stuff. Where else
- 38:55Speaker 1: would they be at first, Chopper is like, you are
- 38:59Speaker 1: going to be unable to control this, like I don't
- 39:02Speaker 1: want you to take them, but Frankie argues, they don't
- 39:05Speaker 1: have time to have a fucking discussion about this. He
- 39:07Speaker 1: believes he can do it, Please just let him do it,
- 39:12Speaker 1: and he gives him one and says, try to do
- 39:16Speaker 1: kung fu point like I did earlier, and without listening,
- 39:22Speaker 1: Frankie just pops the whole thing in his mouth and
- 39:26Speaker 1: surges up to giant size and instantly like loses control
- 39:32Speaker 1: of himself. It seems like he is just barely you know.
- 39:37Speaker 1: He tries to smash Loofy. He does not know what
- 39:40Speaker 1: the fuck is going on. This was not a good idea.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Eventually he does do something helpful, but it's not on purpose.
- 39:50Speaker 1: So yeah, this kind of throws a wrench into things.
- 39:56Speaker 1: So let's see, we have the guys coming and and
- 40:00Speaker 1: reporting to Caesar Clown. We were able to stage an
- 40:05Speaker 1: ambush her. But and we cut to outside and all
- 40:12Speaker 1: of these centaurs, like, you know, being kind of beaten
- 40:17Speaker 1: down by a lot of these marines in a way
- 40:19Speaker 1: they clearly weren't expecting, like at first, they're on top
- 40:22Speaker 1: of it, and being centaurs, they do have centaurs implies
- 40:27Speaker 1: that they all have horses for their bottom half, and
- 40:29Speaker 1: they don't. Some of them have goats, which is actually
- 40:33Speaker 1: kind of awesome because, especially in this area where it's
- 40:36Speaker 1: really mountainous, I feel like that would be particularly useful.
- 40:43Speaker 1: But yeah, this is when when Smoker runs in and
- 40:49Speaker 1: just begins to absolutely waste these guys. Smoker into she
- 40:53Speaker 1: He's body by the way, which of course means we
- 40:56Speaker 1: need to zoom in on her tit as she runs by.
- 41:03Speaker 1: So inside Caesar is like, wait, so we're having trouble,
- 41:08Speaker 1: And he turns and looks at his guys, who back
- 41:11Speaker 1: off immediately and try to be like no, no, no,
- 41:14Speaker 1: we've got it under control. But Caesar clown says, well
- 41:19Speaker 1: in that case, and he turns to gas. He grabs
- 41:24Speaker 1: a bottle and fills a glass with wine, and he says,
- 41:28Speaker 1: I'm sure the Navy will make excellent test subjects. This
- 41:31Speaker 1: is a golden opportunity, and he tosses a little tablet
- 41:35Speaker 1: of something into the glass. It changes color, and he says,
- 41:40Speaker 1: contact all the centaurs and make it quick. Tell our
- 41:43Speaker 1: soldiers to evacuate at once unless they want to die,
- 41:48Speaker 1: And we eventually get to see what this is. I think,
- 41:53Speaker 1: although this doesn't really look like a living thing, but
- 41:58Speaker 1: what do I know about how this works? So let's see.
- 42:04Speaker 1: I'm trying to because I'm actually running out of time
- 42:06Speaker 1: because there's like a fair amount to talk about in
- 42:08Speaker 1: these three episodes. I love Nammy saying I understand that
- 42:13Speaker 1: I'm cute and voluptuous and that you wanted me all
- 42:16Speaker 1: to yourselves. Oh god, she keeps forgetting that she's in
- 42:23Speaker 1: Frankie's body. Just wait until Lufy gets here. Here he'll
- 42:27Speaker 1: kick your hairy butts into next week. Oh so this
- 42:35Speaker 1: is when a breeze begins to kick up and these
- 42:39Speaker 1: two dudes begin to actually shiver. I was surprised because
- 42:42Speaker 1: they are covered in fur, so I kind of thought
- 42:44Speaker 1: that they would be immune to the cold. But evidently
- 42:47Speaker 1: it's no problem for Noamy and Frankie's body. I guess
- 42:50Speaker 1: he really doesn't feel it the same way. So I'm
- 42:54Speaker 1: gonna have to like move through this a little bit.
- 42:57Speaker 1: There is some of this that I've already about, but
- 43:02Speaker 1: uh so let's see. Sorry, guys, I'm just there's a
- 43:07Speaker 1: point where the centaurs outside the doors, like there is
- 43:15Speaker 1: this bright light that is coming between them and sort
- 43:19Speaker 1: of pouring outward. And they say, hey, I just heard
- 43:24Speaker 1: something moving around in there. Nah, can't be Look, I
- 43:28Speaker 1: don't like this. We were told not to come near here, right,
- 43:31Speaker 1: so don't open the door. Let's just go. But the
- 43:35Speaker 1: Master told us about this place, and he said he
- 43:37Speaker 1: wants us to open it. You do trust the Master,
- 43:40Speaker 1: don't you. No, that's not what I mean at all.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Then lend me a hand. Hurry. So this is it's
- 43:53Speaker 1: described in the subtitles as a sloshing sound, which, yeah,
- 43:59Speaker 1: I guess that's the best way to describe it, probably,
- 44:02Speaker 1: But eventually we see that it's this like slime. It's
- 44:07Speaker 1: just called slimy if I'm not mistaken, that's what he says.
- 44:10Speaker 1: It's called long story short. Eventually, these two Yetti brothers
- 44:17Speaker 1: are taken out and it's we managed to rescue Nami,
- 44:24Speaker 1: and uh she has gotten grabbed up by one of them,
- 44:28Speaker 1: and he like runs off for a bit, but yeah,
- 44:33Speaker 1: we take care of this eventually, because Lufy is just determined.
- 44:39Speaker 1: You know, we can't when it's his friend on the line, absolutely,
- 44:43Speaker 1: no question. So he's pursuing, and this is when law
- 44:47Speaker 1: turns up and he decides to help. But it's because
- 44:50Speaker 1: he is trying to make a deal with Loofy to
- 44:55Speaker 1: join up forces so that they can kill one of
- 44:59Speaker 1: the And he says, there are only two ways to
- 45:06Speaker 1: live in the New World, fighting under the umbrella of
- 45:11Speaker 1: the four Emperors or fighting against them. And you don't
- 45:17Speaker 1: strike me as the type who likes to work under
- 45:19Speaker 1: someone else, which he's going to find out how true
- 45:22Speaker 1: that is shortly so, and Lufhy confirms this, you can
- 45:29Speaker 1: work with me, and they're like, well, what do you mean,
- 45:33Speaker 1: because Nami's here in Frankie's body still, and she keeps
- 45:38Speaker 1: trying to tell Lufy. She actually calls Trafalgar a sleeves bag,
- 45:43Speaker 1: which I really liked. But yeah, he says, I've got
- 45:49Speaker 1: a good plan and I want to take down one
- 45:51Speaker 1: of the four emperors, So tell me, are you in?
- 45:54Speaker 1: And of course Lufy is in no question, and he says,
- 46:02Speaker 1: our first target is and we get a lot of
- 46:06Speaker 1: wind sounds and a lot of terrified faces of the
- 46:10Speaker 1: people around once they hear this, but we don't actually
- 46:13Speaker 1: hear the name of our first target. So everybody like
- 46:20Speaker 1: mostly kind of says loofy, you're insane, except for Robin,
- 46:24Speaker 1: who's like, you know what, Lufy, I'm willing to go
- 46:27Speaker 1: along with this, actually, but I do need you to
- 46:33Speaker 1: understand that pirates just betrayed you, Like that's just the
- 46:37Speaker 1: way it works, so you've got to be ready for that.
- 46:40Speaker 1: You trust very quickly, and that concerns me, and so
- 46:44Speaker 1: Lufy just turns to Trafalgar and says, are you gonna
- 46:48Speaker 1: betray me? And Trafalgar says no, and he says, see,
- 46:52Speaker 1: oh my god, I really did like that moment. Actually,
- 46:55Speaker 1: I genuinely did. And then he flatters all of them
- 47:01Speaker 1: by saying that he knows what great fighters they are
- 47:04Speaker 1: and that they'll protect him, and they all seem like
- 47:08Speaker 1: this genuinely wins them over in a way that I
- 47:11Speaker 1: kind of felt like was out of character for some
- 47:13Speaker 1: of them. But I you know, it's fine. We need
- 47:17Speaker 1: to get them on board with this, and we're just
- 47:19Speaker 1: gonna take a shortcut to get there, So okay, I
- 47:22Speaker 1: accept this, and meanwhile, I love that every now and then,
- 47:27Speaker 1: in the midst of this conversation, we go back to
- 47:32Speaker 1: Trafalgar Law, who is just standing there, sweating profusely, looking
- 47:36Speaker 1: like he cannot believe what he is hearing. This man
- 47:40Speaker 1: wasn't prepared at all for the entire vibe of lufy
- 47:45Speaker 1: when he is with his crew. The last time that
- 47:48Speaker 1: Trafalgar was apparently around him was after the battle with Loviy,
- 47:52Speaker 1: fucked up and out of it, you know, like he
- 47:55Speaker 1: was not okay. And now we have Loofy at peak
- 47:57Speaker 1: form better than ever, all of friends around him, and
- 48:01Speaker 1: Law obviously is just oh god, I thought this was
- 48:06Speaker 1: a good idea. I'm not taking it back yet, but
- 48:09Speaker 1: I am kind of wondering. Was this the move to
- 48:13Speaker 1: make he uses room and he puts Frankie back into
- 48:21Speaker 1: Frankie's body, But now Nami has been moved into Sanji's
- 48:28Speaker 1: body because her body isn't present, so they can't send
- 48:34Speaker 1: her all the way back because she's out of the
- 48:37Speaker 1: circumference of room, you know that barrier. Meanwhile, Chopper, who
- 48:43Speaker 1: has been put back in his body, is very fucking
- 48:46Speaker 1: irritated because he is all busted up, and it's just like,
- 48:52Speaker 1: who did this? What the hell, guys, did you not
- 48:56Speaker 1: think that maybe you could take it easy on me?
- 48:59Speaker 1: And Booth, Loofy and Frankie each blame each other, which
- 49:04Speaker 1: of course they do. So we have then the conversation
- 49:13Speaker 1: about Nami wanting to help these kids, and there is like,
- 49:22Speaker 1: basically again pointing to the fact that, like, I think
- 49:28Speaker 1: maybe Trafalgar isn't a good person really when they say
- 49:33Speaker 1: they want to help the kids, he says it's too
- 49:35Speaker 1: much work. They're addicted to drugs, and Trapper's like, yeah,
- 49:39Speaker 1: we fucking know that, dude. We want to like fix
- 49:43Speaker 1: that and take them home. And you know, I don't
- 49:47Speaker 1: know what we're supposed to do about how huge they are,
- 49:51Speaker 1: but obviously Trafalgar isn't really that bothered by this at all,
- 49:58Speaker 1: and he says that the the world government has been
- 50:01Speaker 1: conducting experiments for ages to try and turn people into giants,
- 50:08Speaker 1: which is really interesting because I have kept asking about
- 50:13Speaker 1: why some people are so much bigger than others in
- 50:15Speaker 1: this world, and I don't know if everybody like who
- 50:20Speaker 1: we have come across who's huge is meant to have
- 50:22Speaker 1: been a direct result of this experimentation, or if there
- 50:27Speaker 1: is some of that but not all, or if this
- 50:29Speaker 1: is just Oda sort of trying to reccon the reasons
- 50:34Speaker 1: behind that. You know, I don't know. But Robin is like, well,
- 50:39Speaker 1: why would they do that? And he says, I think
- 50:41Speaker 1: they were trying to create soldiers. It would be very
- 50:44Speaker 1: hard to beat an army like that. Caesar's probably hoping
- 50:49Speaker 1: how to figure out how to do it first so
- 50:51Speaker 1: he can beat Vega Punk in the government to the punch.
- 50:54Speaker 1: But I don't think it's that simple. Oh yeah, I
- 50:57Speaker 1: wanted to mention too. I keep like operating thinking that
- 50:59Speaker 1: Vega punk is dead, and I keep being reminded repeatedly
- 51:03Speaker 1: that he is not dead. Every single time. I'm like,
- 51:06Speaker 1: oh right, right, right, he's still around. So yet again
- 51:11Speaker 1: and he says to the straw hats like, are you
- 51:14Speaker 1: sure you want to help these kids? You don't even
- 51:18Speaker 1: know them, do you, And I mean is like, no,
- 51:22Speaker 1: but they're fucking children crying who need help, So yeah,
- 51:29Speaker 1: we want to help them, Like there isn't really a
- 51:33Speaker 1: moment of them kind of going. The fact that you
- 51:37Speaker 1: don't want to help them makes us sort of feel
- 51:39Speaker 1: like maybe we shouldn't have joined up with you, but
- 51:44Speaker 1: I guess. So Trafalgar tries to say, all right, cool,
- 51:55Speaker 1: me and Moofy are going to take off and you
- 51:58Speaker 1: guys can stay and help the and Lufy's like, guy,
- 52:05Speaker 1: what I'm not leaving? Like they have to do this.
- 52:10Speaker 1: Soanjy has that Samurai that he's working to put together.
- 52:14Speaker 1: If you're gonna work with us, you better get used
- 52:17Speaker 1: to helping people. And again with Trafalgar getting this expression
- 52:23Speaker 1: on his face like he has just seen one of
- 52:26Speaker 1: the most humiliating things, he just the idea he really
- 52:32Speaker 1: doesn't know very much about the straw Hats at all.
- 52:36Speaker 1: He really should have researched them a little bit beyond
- 52:40Speaker 1: their capacity for creating havoc and colmbat, you know, like
- 52:47Speaker 1: do some interviews with folks who have encountered them, people
- 52:51Speaker 1: like just you gotta find out more about these guys.
- 52:57Speaker 1: So yeah, finally Trafalgar says, fine, we gotta hurry up,
- 53:07Speaker 1: like you guys figure out how to put the Samurai
- 53:09Speaker 1: back together, and I am going to figure out about
- 53:14Speaker 1: the drug that was given to the children. That'll be
- 53:17Speaker 1: my job. So which makes sense, is he is the
- 53:22Speaker 1: operator guy, and he wants to take Chopper with him
- 53:29Speaker 1: because he is the doctor, but Chopper isn't able to walk,
- 53:35Speaker 1: so they have to tie Chopper to Trafalgar's head in
- 53:40Speaker 1: yet another humiliation for this guy. I love this all
- 53:46Speaker 1: so much. Trafalgar is just so serious and just like
- 53:50Speaker 1: in general, feels like such a cool guy that every
- 53:53Speaker 1: bit of him realizing that these badasses he is trying
- 53:59Speaker 1: to ally himself with are operating on some very different
- 54:04Speaker 1: shit than he is. It is such delightful candy. I
- 54:09Speaker 1: love it. I eat it up. It is so funny.
- 54:11Speaker 1: It's not getting old for me at all. I just
- 54:14Speaker 1: want this to keep happening. I really like it. Like
- 54:19Speaker 1: literally everybody is laughing at him, even Robin, you know,
- 54:23Speaker 1: she's usually so stalwart, and she's over here just like idiot.
- 54:31Speaker 1: So all right, Then we go back to these fucking
- 54:34Speaker 1: centaurs who are pushing this door open, and at first
- 54:40Speaker 1: when they open it, they don't see anything. It's very
- 54:42Speaker 1: dark in there, and you just get a vague sense
- 54:46Speaker 1: of something like hovering way back, and finally one of
- 54:49Speaker 1: them says, wait a minute, what's that And you just
- 54:54Speaker 1: see this like huge shape with bubbles sort of moving
- 55:00Speaker 1: through it, and one of them walks closer up to
- 55:05Speaker 1: it and then begins to choke and collapses on the ground.
- 55:10Speaker 1: And this thing opens its eyes, so to speak. It's
- 55:19Speaker 1: got these two like glowing it's it's alive, I guess,
- 55:24Speaker 1: but it's pretty wild. I don't. I guess it's brought
- 55:29Speaker 1: to life, but it doesn't. I don't. Is it permanently
- 55:31Speaker 1: alive or does it like have a does it wind down?
- 55:35Speaker 1: You know? I don't know. Jump over to Chopper and uh,
- 55:43Speaker 1: I love this, you guys. So Chopper, basically Trafalgar is like, look,
- 55:48Speaker 1: I tried to tolerate the hat thing. No, I won't
- 55:52Speaker 1: have him be tied to my head. I will tie
- 55:54Speaker 1: him to my sword and hang him over my shoulder.
- 55:59Speaker 1: But he tells them Caesar wants to kill you guys,
- 56:05Speaker 1: and he is going to send more people after you
- 56:09Speaker 1: because he wants to take these children back. So he
- 56:13Speaker 1: isn't going to let up until he gets what he's after.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Before the incident four years ago, when he became a criminal,
- 56:20Speaker 1: he was a government scientist. Punk Hazard is restricted territory.
- 56:26Speaker 1: If word gets out that somebody's been leaving here living here,
- 56:29Speaker 1: then Caesar will be forced to leave his hideout. That's
- 56:32Speaker 1: why he'll stop at nothing to kill all of you.
- 56:35Speaker 1: This is a guy with a bounty of three hundred million.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Not only did he eat the gas gas fruit, he's
- 56:42Speaker 1: also got weapons of mass destruction, a force to be
- 56:46Speaker 1: reckoned with. And Nami is like three hundred million, huh.
- 56:54Speaker 1: And even though she sounds intimidated, I couldn't help but
- 56:57Speaker 1: think she might be wondering if they could cash in
- 57:00Speaker 1: on that. So he kind of finishes Trafalgar by saying
- 57:07Speaker 1: those of you who can't use hockey should steer clear.
- 57:10Speaker 1: He's extremely tough, and Lukey says, we do have some
- 57:15Speaker 1: hockey users, me Zoro and Soanji. That should be enough.
- 57:21Speaker 1: Plus you guys. Was I aware that Sonji and Zorro
- 57:27Speaker 1: officially were using hockey? I don't know that I knew
- 57:32Speaker 1: that for sure. It's mentioned so casually here that I
- 57:36Speaker 1: feel like maybe we were meant to infer it, or
- 57:39Speaker 1: that it was mentioned and I've simply forgotten. But I
- 57:44Speaker 1: really don't recall this at all. So it's just like
- 57:47Speaker 1: the way he just drops this, I was like, what,
- 57:50Speaker 1: But anyway, se La says, this is going to be
- 57:57Speaker 1: the fastest way to do this, and he says, let's see,
- 58:05Speaker 1: what we're after is chaos, not money, and they're all like,
- 58:11Speaker 1: I don't get it, and he says, I'm not going
- 58:13Speaker 1: to explain it now. Eventually I will talk about it,
- 58:18Speaker 1: but for right now, it's better to focus on just
- 58:21Speaker 1: capturing him, and it's not going to be easy. As
- 58:25Speaker 1: soon as that's done, i'll explain the whole plan to
- 58:28Speaker 1: you in detail. That said, once we get our hands
- 58:32Speaker 1: on Caesar, that's going to set everything in motion, so
- 58:37Speaker 1: be ready. There's no turning back. And I'm really curious
- 58:43Speaker 1: about this because you know, the whole reason that he
- 58:46Speaker 1: came here and he wanted to find some like old
- 58:49Speaker 1: research and stuff. So I'm assuming that the reason that
- 58:53Speaker 1: he's been tolerating everything he has was like in regard
- 58:58Speaker 1: to working with somebody's he like Caesar clown. It's a
- 59:02Speaker 1: combo of clearly this is a guy who doesn't have
- 59:04Speaker 1: the sort of empathy that I would like to see
- 59:06Speaker 1: based on the way he's reacting to these kids, and
- 59:08Speaker 1: just like, yeah, let's just give him back and leave.
- 59:10Speaker 1: But also I think he's got a much bigger picture
- 59:16Speaker 1: sort of thing going on, and he believes that this
- 59:19Speaker 1: is a necessary evil to get to where they need
- 59:23Speaker 1: to go. So yeah, I I don't this is just
- 59:34Speaker 1: a really he's compelling. I don't know. I like this,
- 59:38Speaker 1: So let's we go back to Caesar Clenn's laboratory. At
- 59:41Speaker 1: this point, more of this battle and eventually I'm sorry,
- 59:51Speaker 1: I'm trying to get to the spot where this stuff
- 59:53Speaker 1: comes out. Oh my god, here it is. This is
- 59:55Speaker 1: my favorite, you guys. I want to read this word
- 59:59Speaker 1: for word because I fucking died. So there's this phone
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: call coming in to Caesar, who's busy, and it's ringing,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: and he's doing whatever it is table and there's this
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: other guy who's like, you have a call, sir, you
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: have a call, and Caesar says, I'll let it ring.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: I'm sure it's something along the lines of we opened
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: the door and something terrible was inside. It's killing our
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: comrades left and right. Oh, Master, please help us, et cetera,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: et cetera. Why would I want to listen to that?
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Oh my god, the whole the script itself, and then
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: the delivery. It's so funny. It is so funny. I
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: really enjoy this guy a lot. And he's like well,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I had been thinking I was gonna need to find
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: more test subjects, but there are a lot of people
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: on this island right now, so actually I've gotten lucky.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: I can do all kinds of things and nobody is gonna,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: you know, be able to get away from it. So
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: then we see this slime that has just been released,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: and it's like following these dudes through the fire area
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: of the island because that's where the door was. It
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: was in the burning lands, and there's only I think
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: there had been like five like to start with that
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: we're trying to open the door, but at this point
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: there's only two left. It seems like everybody else got gassed,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: or maybe the slime smothered them after they got knocked
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: out from gas. It doesn't really matter. But this stuff
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: is cool looking too. It's like this purple red which
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: is one of my favorite like color combos. And they
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: think that they have finally lost it, and they like
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: come to a stop, and I was sort of going, guys,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: what are you doing? Never never stop running, Get down
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: to the water if you fucking can honestly get up
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: into a higher area. You know, they keep trying to
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: flee down alleys and granted, this stuff is smashing most
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: of the towers that get in its way, but if
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: you kind of tried to aim for like mountains, it
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: doesn't seem like it has upward motion. It seems like
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: if you it's sort of like the equivalent of when
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Ricken is trying to dodge the arrows and Game of
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Thrones and everybody was just yelling for him to fucking
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: zigzag and he just ran straight ahead. It was that
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: sort of energy for me. It's just like, dudes, come on,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: can't you just please use your heads for a second here?
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: And it was so sad because they keep yelling like
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: masts or why would you do this? And just the
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: fact that they didn't see this coming. It's so pitiful.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: So the gas comes ahead of this thing and you
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: see it sort of like rise up into the air
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: very clearly. We're doing a different thing now, all of
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: a sudden than what it looked like. And as it
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: rises up, we cut back to Caesar, who's like, oh,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: you don't know my pet, do you. It's a rare specimen.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: Its body is made of deadly slime. And we cut
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: back to these poor centaurs that are falling down choking
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: to death, and Caesar says it can be a bit much,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: but I can't allow anyone to leave this island, and
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: so like his intention is basically, I'll kill everybody here,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: no problem. I'll just you know, And I do sort
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: of want to know. Oh he doesn't call it slimy,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: he calls it smiley. I kind of like the fact
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: that it's not slimy, that it's smiley. That's creepier. That's
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: a better name, I think. So maybe it was a
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: living thing in the tablet, you know, because I was
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: looking at this wine thing and being like, oh, you
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: added something to the wine to create a thing. But
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: maybe the tablet is like a dormant creature and putting
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: it in the wine brought it to life. Maybe that
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: is how it's looked at, you know. I don't know,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: but either way, we get this uh, really intense moment
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: of the camera pulling back and seeing this creature with
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: its glowing eyes staring down at these to poor I
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: believe now dead centaurs. And that is the end of
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: the episode. And I was like, these poor guys, they
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: just keep being fucking played for fools. So all right,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: I have got to wrap this one up. But yeah,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: I really liked these episodes. These were super fun, so
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to the next ones. Thank you guys
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: again so much for listening. Appreciate you all, and until
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: next time to motherfuckers. That was an unspoiled network podcast.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Stone
