Transcript
- 0:002025 is the year that I'm going to get my morning routine.
- 0:05And I really believe it's important because I noticed the difference between
- 0:12waking up without having a plan or, well, you have to have a plan,
- 0:17especially if you have a job or kids.
- 0:20But I think it's a myth. I think it's a lot of bullshit when it comes to morning routines.
- 0:26I think it's a lot of, you know not real stuff that you hear about because remember
- 0:36you have to wake up every day it's a lot of mornings so yeah but either way
- 0:42I went out and before the ambulance.
- 0:46Arrives and you know pick me up I will yeah I just walked around ask people
- 0:52About their morning routines And you know what?
- 0:55It appears that people don't really have a morning routine Because when I asked
- 1:01them They were like What are you talking about? What do you mean?
- 1:06Morning routine? Is that a thing?
- 1:10Or they were like They looked at me like a question mark And just I wake up?
- 1:18Question mark And that made me so happy Because, you know, I think a lot of
- 1:24people just wake up and they just, okay, come on, find that sock and the sweater and the coffee.
- 1:32And I really don't think it's a lot of people out there who,
- 1:36you know, meditate, drink green tea or whatever in the mornings.
- 1:41But of course, there's a lot of people also doing that.
- 1:45So, and I envy them so much.
- 1:49Good morning, Lucy. Yeah. Get up and go to work.
- 1:53When do you drink coffee? Do I drink coffee? Of course I drink coffee.
- 1:57First thing in the morning, I have a glass of water with apple cider vinegar.
- 2:02And then two hours later, I have an espresso or regular coffee.
- 2:05And when do you get dressed? Oh, no, no. This is after I get dressed.
- 2:09As soon as I get up in the morning, it's obvious. I use the bathroom,
- 2:11brush my teeth, do my hair, get changed.
- 2:14And then I go ahead, have my apple cider vinegar water.
- 2:18Then I go on. And two hours later, I get myself a coffee.
- 2:21Great. Thank you so much. I wake up at 6.45.
- 2:25Wake up my dog, give her breakfast, then wake up my daughters,
- 2:30get them ready for school.
- 2:317.40, they're on the bus. Then I walk the dog for 30 minutes,
- 2:36and then I eat breakfast and start with my day.
- 2:39Okay, so you actually wake up your dog? My dog?
- 2:44Sometimes she wakes us up, but usually we wake her up. And what do you do for self-care?
- 2:50I don't do my—this is the first time I worked out in a long time.
- 2:53I work from home, so I just work out whenever I can, maybe once a week.
- 3:00Okay. And when do you wake up? When do you get dressed? Do you get dressed before
- 3:05your kids or after? After. After.
- 3:08Okay. We're trying to survive in the morning. Starts late.
- 3:12When do you wake up? 10.30.
- 3:17Are you a student? No, I'm not a student. And then what do you do after you wake up?
- 3:22I used to try to get to work, read the newspaper, drink coffee,
- 3:27eat a bagel, and then it's the afternoon.
- 3:31Good. And what about you? Probably 8.30. Gotta start my day with coffee.
- 3:37Then I go to dental school. Do you eat breakfast?
- 3:41Sometimes. I'm not a big breakfast guy. I don't need a lot to fill me up in the morning.
- 3:46I don't really have one. You don't have one? It's all different.
- 3:49Every day. Yeah, but that's interesting. I'm the same.
- 3:53But do you just wake up and then what happens?
- 3:58You drink your coffee? I have tea. You have tea? Yeah. And relax.
- 4:04And me. Okay. Good. Great.
- 4:07We're just getting up and having a breakfast at our school.
- 4:12And usually we'll have like 8 o'clock classes. So we're just running to the
- 4:18school in our halls and having classes.
- 4:20That that may be our routine i guess okay but that's nice to eat breakfast at school,
- 4:26yes do you have any routine in the mornings wake up take a shower have a couple
- 4:32cool things and breakfast wake the first child up get her ready for school make
- 4:37breakfast for her the second child the rest he gets breakfast breakfast out

- 4:43and when when do you wake up then five fifteen oh wow and when do you put clothes
- 4:49on before I have to go back to the floor so I make sure I get first before her,
- 4:56not really just drink coffee breakfast okay so what happens when you wake up.
- 5:03Get out of bed, make coffee. Do I have a morning routine?
- 5:07Sure. I don't actually, no. No. So what happens when you wake up?
- 5:11Wake up and go to the bathroom, brush my teeth, get myself ready, and then start work.
- 5:17Get ready for work. You work from home?
- 5:20Sometimes. Going to the office occasionally, work from home. Sometimes.
- 5:24Routine's the same. If I'm going to work, I'll just, you know,
- 5:28do not too much and then head out.
- 5:30Oh, I won't have coffee for at least an hour or so after getting ready. Wow. Okay.
- 5:35Nice. Thank you. Thank you. Routine? Yeah, what happens when you wake up?
- 5:41Depends on when I wake up. I'm retired, so I don't have a routine. Every day is different.
- 5:46Okay, but what happens? Okay, when do you get dressed? Before or after tea or coffee?
- 5:52After. Yeah. It's always coffee first. Yeah, always coffee first.
- 5:56Okay. Happy retirement. Thank you.
