- 0:44Speaker 3: See DraftKings dot com for the tails.
- 0:46Speaker 1: I got my glove on.
- 0:48Speaker 2: We'll talk to John Middlecoff coming up. John's a former
- 0:50Speaker 2: NFL scout. He also has a great podcast that I
- 0:52Speaker 2: listened to, Super smart guy when it comes to NFL knowledge,
- 0:55Speaker 2: and I really enjoyed it. John Middlecough coming up, Let's
- 0:59Speaker 2: go now and do the tittle tattle name.
- 1:06Speaker 4: The title.
- 1:11Speaker 6: After losing his third straight game to Michigan last week,
- 1:14Speaker 6: do you think Ohio State fans are crazy for wanting
- 1:16Speaker 6: Ryan Day out.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Well, the answer is yes, but you're also allowed to
- 1:19Speaker 2: be crazy if the situation they're crazy about is an
- 1:23Speaker 2: absurd situation, which is how he heated and hated that rivalry.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Is so yeah, Ryan Day's awesome. He's a great coach.
- 1:28Speaker 2: He's fifty six and seven during his five years there,
- 1:31Speaker 2: and he was forced in that position. He immediately he's
- 1:34Speaker 2: won the Big twelve or excuse me that he's won
- 1:35Speaker 2: the Big Ten twice. Again five years, he's won the
- 1:39Speaker 2: Big Ten twice. He's one and six against teams ranking
- 1:42Speaker 2: the top five. Again, not done so hot like in
- 1:45Speaker 2: the College football playoff and hasn't beat Michigan. And I
- 1:49Speaker 2: saw Maurice Clarette like they should have then and now
- 1:54Speaker 2: he's like, that's our dude, Ryan Day. You give him
- 1:56Speaker 2: a hundred million whatever he said, and then it is
- 1:57Speaker 2: like gotta fire him. Really he can't be Michigan fire
- 2:00Speaker 2: yeah after this last game. Uh yeah, but you you're
- 2:03Speaker 2: allowed to be crazy, and they're crazy. Ryan Day's awesome,
- 2:06Speaker 2: But you also know when you take that job that
- 2:08Speaker 2: if you don't win.
- 2:08Speaker 3: That game.
- 2:10Speaker 2: One out of three times, at worst one out of
- 2:15Speaker 2: it's going.
- 2:15Speaker 3: To be a hot seat.
- 2:17Speaker 2: If he loses again next year, Yeah, I think that
- 2:20Speaker 2: they probably have to have a conversation.
- 2:22Speaker 3: And it's crazy.
- 2:23Speaker 2: He could go eleven to one, but he loses that
- 2:26Speaker 2: game again and if they don't win a national title,
- 2:28Speaker 2: they are probably upset.
- 2:29Speaker 1: But how many times did Harball lose that game?
- 2:31Speaker 3: A lot?
- 2:32Speaker 2: Upfronts he was almost out. Yeah, for the same reason. Yeah,
- 2:36Speaker 2: because he kept losing. He could not beat them.
- 2:39Speaker 3: So yeah, they're crazy, but yeah, we all are.
- 2:42Speaker 2: But when your team is really good and there are
- 2:44Speaker 2: a couple of things that you're consistently extremely crazy about,
- 2:46Speaker 2: then yeah, the expectation is they're gonna be crazy about
- 2:48Speaker 2: this that you have to make sure they're not.
- 2:49Speaker 6: Like I think of you as an Arkansas fan, you
- 2:50Speaker 6: would take fifty six and seven in a five year
- 2:53Speaker 6: spent any day, right, and.
- 2:54Speaker 4: You know what I think I'll have.
- 2:57Speaker 2: I think Ohio State would too if one of those
- 3:00Speaker 2: three would be Michigan. Yeah, I mean last night I
- 3:05Speaker 2: was thinking my Lord and Savior for Bob Petrino.
- 3:08Speaker 6: That's about the game.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Oh was he there? I didn't see him there, But
- 3:12Speaker 1: I love the people's shirt. People were wearing shirts already
- 3:14Speaker 1: with his face.
- 3:16Speaker 2: There's one that I wanted to make and I haven't
- 3:18Speaker 2: seen it, so there could have been somebody that already
- 3:21Speaker 2: made this shirt, but I wanted to say Patrino.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Question mark is Patrina.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Yes, that's so good and it might exist Patriot.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, all right, next time?
- 3:39Speaker 6: With both teams having one loss, do you think Texas
- 3:42Speaker 6: deserves to be rankedhigher than Oregon based on their win
- 3:44Speaker 6: at Alabama?
- 3:45Speaker 2: Because of how a lot of this stuff is falling.
- 3:47Speaker 2: This team beats this team, well, you gotta put them in.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Oh yeah, but this beat that team, so you can't.
- 3:50Speaker 2: So it's so much that I'm just going eyeball test
- 3:53Speaker 2: and no. Watching Texas play a lot and watching an
- 3:56Speaker 2: Organ play a decent amount of times, I think Organ
- 4:00Speaker 2: is a better team. You can go well, but Texas
- 4:04Speaker 2: had this loss in this winn Oregon lost to Washington
- 4:07Speaker 2: and Wash. Still I think Organ's the better team. So
- 4:12Speaker 2: the strength of schedule for Organ's pretty weak. I think
- 4:13Speaker 2: it's like sixty two or something and Texas is thirteen.
- 4:17Speaker 2: But Texas looks a little slower, but they're also bigger.
- 4:20Speaker 2: They just don't play that should challenge like boxers.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Do you know what, screw it?
- 4:27Speaker 1: You beat? Get up?
- 4:28Speaker 4: Meet me?
- 4:28Speaker 2: Here a random Thursday, they play each other. It's all
- 4:32Speaker 2: gonna settle itself. Hardly ever, does it get as fun
- 4:35Speaker 2: as we really want it to. Every once in a
- 4:37Speaker 2: while there's some chaos, but when you look at it
- 4:39Speaker 2: every year, we're like, what if this happens? Oh No,
- 4:42Speaker 2: in the end, it usually settles itself pretty well. I
- 4:45Speaker 2: hope it doesn't. But I think Oregon probably beats Washington,
- 4:50Speaker 2: Texas probably beats Oklahoma State. The game that we all
- 4:53Speaker 2: have to really watch and wonder is the Alabama Georgia game.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Oh it's thinking liberty in New Mexico State.
- 4:59Speaker 2: I think their coach today, Uh maybe no, maybe that
- 5:04Speaker 2: was regardless, it doesn't matter, could be not true to Kansas.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Guy's going to Mexico State apparently, who knows. So I
- 5:13Speaker 3: think Oregon's better.
- 5:14Speaker 2: But if Alabama beats Georgia, then then teams start to
- 5:19Speaker 2: be left out chaos and then the Florida State no quarterback,
- 5:23Speaker 2: Like that's a big part of it too, But if
- 5:24Speaker 2: they beat Louisville they have to be put in. I
- 5:26Speaker 2: don't care if they play with men, but no quarterback
- 5:28Speaker 2: doesn't suck. Yes it does suck, I get it, But
- 5:31Speaker 2: like that just sucks.
- 5:32Speaker 4: It sucks.
- 5:32Speaker 2: It sucks for them, I know, but they deserve the
- 5:35Speaker 2: right to try it at their backup quarterback. Absolutely, yes,
- 5:39Speaker 2: But one lost Florida State with the backup quarterback does
- 5:42Speaker 2: not get in. But a one loss Oregon gets in,
- 5:45Speaker 2: a one lost Texas gets in. But one lost Florida
- 5:47Speaker 2: State you would talk about getting in if they had
- 5:51Speaker 2: their full strength.
- 5:52Speaker 3: They don't.
- 5:53Speaker 2: I did bet a future on Alabama win the National Championship.
- 5:58Speaker 1: You did that a while back?
- 5:59Speaker 2: No, I bet, oh yeah, but I bet like a
- 6:01Speaker 2: substantialish one. But they have to win multiple games, like
- 6:04Speaker 2: they have to beat Georgia. If they don't win the SEC,
- 6:06Speaker 2: they're not getting in.
- 6:08Speaker 6: I bet bo Nicks to the Heusman back in September.
- 6:11Speaker 3: You did, Yeah, that's pretty good.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 6:12Speaker 6: Is that plus one thousand back?
- 6:14Speaker 1: Then it's wow.
- 6:15Speaker 3: It's so it's open.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:16Speaker 6: But if he performs well, yeah night, then this championship yeah,
- 6:21Speaker 6: I mean Jane Daniels, Yeah, he can't play, so.
- 6:24Speaker 3: No option for him.
- 6:25Speaker 2: So if they're if like a bo I mean Pennix,
- 6:29Speaker 2: if he goes crazy in that title same game, he
- 6:32Speaker 2: could actually kind of reinsert himself as that guy who
- 6:36Speaker 2: else is up.
- 6:37Speaker 6: For it, Marvin Heerson, No, no, because he's not playing.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Dn't know. That's that's it.
- 6:46Speaker 6: Mostly on the quarterback.
- 6:47Speaker 2: I feel like, oh McCarthy at Michigan, Yeah, he's not
- 6:51Speaker 2: in it. I mean it's probably I've seen him in
- 6:54Speaker 2: those when they put all the slides.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Because but but again, if he goes off and goes
- 6:59Speaker 2: so crazy, possibly if.
- 7:01Speaker 3: The other guys don't.
- 7:03Speaker 2: But yes, I think if one of the if Knicks
- 7:05Speaker 2: or Pinnix or as you call them penis, if they
- 7:08Speaker 2: go and it for three fifty in run for one
- 7:12Speaker 2: twenty and have five total touchdowns, win the game, and
- 7:16Speaker 2: then the other guys don't do much, I think that
- 7:18Speaker 2: probably establishes them as the first or second guy in
- 7:21Speaker 2: that race, you know, unless she was not playing.
- 7:23Speaker 6: Like I said, yeah, if you had a shot then maybe.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so too. Yeah, he's awesome.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Plus one thousand? What is that? One hundred and one?
- 7:30Speaker 6: So I bet twenty bucks in the paoud is two
- 7:33Speaker 6: twenty Yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Oh wow, that's amazing. That's one hundred and one.
- 7:35Speaker 6: Yeah, so I need to do good go bo?
- 7:37Speaker 1: What right?
- 7:38Speaker 2: What plus one thousand wouldn't mean if you bet one
- 7:42Speaker 2: hundred dollars. You make a thousand dollars. Yeah, yes, so
- 7:45Speaker 2: that would be tenda ten to one.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, yeah, I mean to do once you get
- 7:50Speaker 1: into those plus a lot of zeros.
- 7:53Speaker 3: That's what I was happing to say it out loud
- 7:54Speaker 3: to make sure you gets yeah right.
- 7:56Speaker 6: Next up going to the NFL as underdogs at home
- 7:59Speaker 6: against the forty nine on Sunday. Would you be upset
- 8:01Speaker 6: with a disrespect if you're an Eagles fan?
- 8:06Speaker 2: I think Philly has the culture of disrespect is expected,
- 8:12Speaker 2: So you can disrespect us all you want. We've always
- 8:15Speaker 2: been disrespected. We're just gonna stick it around in your
- 8:17Speaker 2: freaking face. Yeah, they like that because we're Philly. So
- 8:22Speaker 2: and also it's the forty nine ers. If you were't
- 8:24Speaker 2: anybody else, maybe I would see that three points was
- 8:28Speaker 2: way too much.
- 8:30Speaker 3: That's probably the only team to be favored by three
- 8:31Speaker 3: over them.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I think it's pretty accurate.
- 8:34Speaker 3: So the weird thing is they're at home.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a full touchdown if you do the cliche
- 8:40Speaker 2: three points. But no, I'm not they're gonna be disrespected.
- 8:47Speaker 2: They're disrespected period. I think they need to be disrespected. Yeah,
- 8:51Speaker 2: that's how I was early in my career, like I
- 8:53Speaker 2: need somebody to I need to hate somebody so I
- 8:56Speaker 2: can kill them.
- 8:58Speaker 3: And that's where I got my worth.
- 9:00Speaker 6: Didn't matter who it was, Nope, anybody. It was the
- 9:03Speaker 6: pope on oh I think, oh yeah, that last one
- 9:08Speaker 6: hitting the practice field for the first time this week.
- 9:10Speaker 6: Do you think it's smart that Aaron Rodgers is coming
- 9:13Speaker 6: back for the Jets?
- 9:14Speaker 1: Possibly this guy.
- 9:16Speaker 2: They're four and seven, they are only in front of
- 9:20Speaker 2: the Patriots and the FC playoff picture of the Patriots
- 9:22Speaker 2: suck the next three games with the Falcons, they can
- 9:24Speaker 2: win that the Texans like win that Dolphins probably not.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Do I think that it's smart? Well for who for
- 9:33Speaker 2: the Jets in their future? No, for Aaron Rodgers, yes,
- 9:37Speaker 2: because he loves to be that guy the attention. This
- 9:40Speaker 2: is what it's about for him to prove that he
- 9:41Speaker 2: can do it, to prove that he is a modern
- 9:47Speaker 2: medical miracle, could be the center of every story, to
- 9:50Speaker 2: be the guy that came back in however many.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Weeks, it's been eleven, which is crazy.
- 9:57Speaker 2: So is it smart because it could reinjure it and
- 10:00Speaker 2: they're also not in the playoff hunt. I think if
- 10:02Speaker 2: they were to win, these are Falcons this week, right,
- 10:05Speaker 2: I think if they were to win these next two.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Games, I don't know, Man, that's awesome.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Let's see what happens. We'll be watching.
- 10:13Speaker 1: But they're activating him, which means that he's not gonna
- 10:17Speaker 1: play like I don't even thin key like really practices.
- 10:21Speaker 2: No, no, no, But he can be on the practice field.
- 10:23Speaker 2: He's been throwing. I'll watched him in sweats. If they
- 10:26Speaker 2: were to beat the Falcons and the Texans, I think
- 10:29Speaker 2: it would be a real conversation of is he going
- 10:31Speaker 2: to come back? I think right now it's just let's
- 10:35Speaker 2: let Aaron indulge Aaron. But if they win the next
- 10:39Speaker 2: two games, I think that Aaron could come back. If
- 10:42Speaker 2: there's a chance they could get in the freaking playoffs.
- 10:44Speaker 3: I'm here for it. I don't even care about Rogers.
- 10:46Speaker 3: I just love you.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Love storyline.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I love storylines when nobody's getting hurt, and this is
- 10:51Speaker 2: the story that where nobody's getting hurt, nobody's losing because
- 10:54Speaker 2: of this.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Well he could, but that's on him because he did it,
- 10:57Speaker 3: you know, So I like that. All Right, that's it.
- 10:59Speaker 2: That's tittle tattlet his name. The twenty five Whistles, present
- 11:06Speaker 2: of by DraftKings Sports Book, an official sports betting partner
- 11:09Speaker 2: of the NFL. Download the DraftKings app used to code
- 11:11Speaker 2: Bobby Sports to get in on the action. Okay, so
- 11:14Speaker 2: we've missed every parlay, so Read's gonna do the entire parlay.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Now.
- 11:17Speaker 2: We love Reads Reads like our little baboo boo brother.
- 11:21Speaker 2: But Read will also say, oh, you know, don't I'm
- 11:23Speaker 2: gonna watch much sports.
- 11:25Speaker 1: So did you already bet it?
- 11:28Speaker 4: No?
- 11:28Speaker 5: I didn't bet it yet.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Read three teams? All right, give us the parlay so
- 11:34Speaker 2: we can turn our luck around.
- 11:35Speaker 7: Well, I shall want to first say that there was
- 11:36Speaker 7: a guy when we did our NFL trivia he was like,
- 11:39Speaker 7: that kid is an idiot.
- 11:40Speaker 5: I just want to say this kid's heart okay, right,
- 11:44Speaker 5: and a little bit of luck.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Patient.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Well you're talking about you, yeah.
- 11:46Speaker 5: I'm talking about me.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Be patient, man, you got to be patient patient alright.
- 11:50Speaker 7: All right, So we're going a three gamer. We got
- 11:54Speaker 7: two money lines and one spread. Bet for the money
- 11:59Speaker 7: line ends. We're going UNLV at home the MWC Championship
- 12:06Speaker 7: Midwestern Conference.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Why would you not take the Boise State points?
- 12:11Speaker 1: I don't know, man, let them be him.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Okay, I'm just asking because if you're trying to get
- 12:15Speaker 2: a win, because Boise State's favorite by two and a half,
- 12:17Speaker 2: so you would get UNLV plus two and a half,
- 12:20Speaker 2: but you decided to go money line and make it
- 12:21Speaker 2: harder on yourself.
- 12:22Speaker 1: All right, but to make more money in the Midwestern smiles.
- 12:28Speaker 3: You mean Mountain West.
- 12:29Speaker 5: It's Mountain West, whatever, man whatever.
- 12:33Speaker 7: And then we're going Florida State money line and Alabama spread.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Okay, so let me get this straight. You're going UNLV
- 12:41Speaker 2: money line versus Boise State. Boise is the favorite, so
- 12:45Speaker 2: you could have got to two and a half points there,
- 12:46Speaker 2: but that's okay, you don't care. Hey, I want the
- 12:48Speaker 2: money line. Now you got Florida State money line. They
- 12:50Speaker 2: are a favorite over Louisville two and a half points,
- 12:52Speaker 2: so that kind of equals itself out.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Okay, all right, back to even.
- 12:56Speaker 3: And then you have Alabama getting five and a half points. Yep.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Okay, so I'm gonna at Alabama un v flories day.
- 13:01Speaker 2: All right, let's go, I'm in.
- 13:03Speaker 5: Are you gonna bet this?
- 13:04Speaker 4: Yes?
- 13:04Speaker 7: Oh?
- 13:04Speaker 1: Okay, all gonna bet? Yeah?
- 13:05Speaker 5: Come on, guys, I'm.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Gonna bet, and I'm gonna bet like two hundred bucks
- 13:10Speaker 3: on it.
- 13:10Speaker 5: Okay, it's like plus six hundred. So it's like you
- 13:13Speaker 5: bet ten bucks, you win seventy.
- 13:14Speaker 1: I'll bet ten dollars.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Let's go. I feel good. Come on, all right, you
- 13:18Speaker 2: can take the twenty five whistles parlay. Check out DraftKings
- 13:20Speaker 2: Sports Book new users just to go Bobby Sports.

- 14:01Speaker 2: is John Middlecoff Hey, John, good to talk to you.
- 14:04Speaker 2: I'm a massive fan of your podcast. I discovered it
- 14:07Speaker 2: because I know Colin a little bit and I'm a
- 14:09Speaker 2: big Cowherd fan, and he puts your show on his
- 14:13Speaker 2: stream as well. And now I look forward to your
- 14:16Speaker 2: analysis and just your thoughts on football as much as
- 14:19Speaker 2: anybody else.
- 14:20Speaker 4: So thank you for the time. Big fan, No problem, Bobby.
- 14:22Speaker 4: I'm I'm a massive, massive country music guy. So I've
- 14:26Speaker 4: followed your career and you've been it feels like, in
- 14:29Speaker 4: my life for a long time now, So this is
- 14:33Speaker 4: pretty cool. Man, Not gonna lie.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Well, thank you very much.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Let's let's talk first of all, just about your background,
- 14:38Speaker 2: because you have done a lot of things in football.
- 14:40Speaker 2: But for me, when you talk about how you were
- 14:42Speaker 2: a scout, because you scouted under Howi Roseman Andy Reid,
- 14:45Speaker 2: for the most.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Part, is that correct?
- 14:47Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 14:47Speaker 2: What's a day to day for a scout? I guess
- 14:50Speaker 2: for scouts only no baseball and they're driving around in
- 14:53Speaker 2: like tiny towns with one double A minor league teams.
- 14:56Speaker 3: What's a football scout doing?
- 14:57Speaker 2: You know?
- 14:57Speaker 4: I think it depends what you do when you're on
- 15:00Speaker 4: the road. There's a lot of that driving around going
- 15:04Speaker 4: to schools, right, Obviously, you know in the NFL, the
- 15:08Speaker 4: most I would say lucrative ground as a scout tends
- 15:12Speaker 4: to be the South, the SEC right, the Alabama's, the Georgia's,
- 15:17Speaker 4: the LSUS, but now that includes Florida State, Clemson kind
- 15:20Speaker 4: of that region. And then on a given year, you know,
- 15:23Speaker 4: different schools are more powerful than others. Obviously, Ohio State
- 15:25Speaker 4: and Michigan are really good, so you spend a lot
- 15:27Speaker 4: of time going to those premium schools. And because eventually,
- 15:32Speaker 4: you know, when you draft these guys in the first
- 15:33Speaker 4: couple rounds, you're investing in a lot of money into them.
- 15:36Speaker 4: You know, in most businesses you deal with, like acquiring
- 15:38Speaker 4: a business, it's very black and white. You just pull
- 15:41Speaker 4: up the Excel spreadsheets like it makes this much money,
- 15:43Speaker 4: it loses this much money, it's got these liabilities as
- 15:46Speaker 4: these fixed costs. When you're dealing with the nineteen twenty
- 15:49Speaker 4: twenty one, twenty two year old guy, there are a
- 15:51Speaker 4: lot of variables. And I think one thing I've learned,
- 15:55Speaker 4: even since I've gotten out of the league and now
- 15:57Speaker 4: do what I do, and just I have a lot
- 15:59Speaker 4: of friends that do it. They spend so much time
- 16:01Speaker 4: on the character. They spend so much time on the
- 16:03Speaker 4: person and they're still an unknown. I don't know about you,
- 16:06Speaker 4: but you know I wasn't the most mature individual at
- 16:10Speaker 4: twenty two, twenty three years old, and I have a
- 16:12Speaker 4: lot of respect for these guys that can come in
- 16:13Speaker 4: and handle it. So I think you spend a lot
- 16:15Speaker 4: of time people around the program, assistant coaches, people that
- 16:21Speaker 4: work with them academically, how they treat women right, how
- 16:24Speaker 4: they treat people that can't do an It's of course
- 16:26Speaker 4: you're going to show respect to your coordinator, but what
- 16:29Speaker 4: about your you know, your academic counselor you know, do
- 16:32Speaker 4: you treat her and that you can find things out?
- 16:34Speaker 4: And I think you just spend a lot of time
- 16:36Speaker 4: basically being a detective. And then when you work in
- 16:38Speaker 4: the office, which I did, you kind of do you
- 16:41Speaker 4: know a little bit everything. It's like, you know, getting
- 16:44Speaker 4: your start in any industry, right, you want to get
- 16:46Speaker 4: your foot in the door. You're willing to go get
- 16:48Speaker 4: dry cleaning, You're willing to go pick up people at
- 16:51Speaker 4: the airport to getting to do and that that usually
- 16:54Speaker 4: just leads to bigger roles. But you know, when I
- 16:56Speaker 4: when I first got started, and I actually did. It
- 17:00Speaker 4: started in college football at President State was the same thing.
- 17:02Speaker 4: You just there's no task that's too big, and then
- 17:05Speaker 4: just gradually doors open and they give you more responsibility.
- 17:09Speaker 4: But like going on chew runs for the coach is
- 17:13Speaker 4: as important as writing up some player.
- 17:16Speaker 3: A guy like c J.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Stroud who has kind of defied all expectations. But also
- 17:22Speaker 2: when his test scores came out last year and they're
- 17:24Speaker 2: like he's performed the worst of all the quarterbacks, and
- 17:27Speaker 2: he's like, I played football, I don't take tests. Like
- 17:29Speaker 2: how much would that have affected you in drafting him?
- 17:32Speaker 2: And then what we've seen from him has been the opposite.
- 17:34Speaker 2: I guess of what the expectation was set.
- 17:36Speaker 4: I think it depends. Like you know, one thing I
- 17:39Speaker 4: learned and I think it's true in any walk of
- 17:41Speaker 4: life is like what you score in a classroom, does
- 17:45Speaker 4: that necessarily translate to what I want you to do? Right?
- 17:48Speaker 4: I'm sure there's a lot of people in radio, in
- 17:51Speaker 4: podcasting selling cars doing whatever that were bad taking a
- 17:56Speaker 4: standardized test? Now do they learn that individual industry? Well? Right?
- 18:01Speaker 4: Like clearly CJ. Stride, You watch him player, like, damn,
- 18:03Speaker 4: this guy's pretty damn good, and I think you can
- 18:07Speaker 4: overthink it and a lot of times leading up to
- 18:10Speaker 4: the draft, right they haven't played football in four or
- 18:11Speaker 4: five months, so there's a lot of a lot of
- 18:14Speaker 4: talk right now is the best because all you're judging
- 18:17Speaker 4: them off is the games. And I think that game
- 18:20Speaker 4: that he had against Georgia, where Ohio State easily could
- 18:22Speaker 4: have won, you went, Holy Molly, this guy's freaking good,
- 18:26Speaker 4: and then all of a sudden it stops. Now here's
- 18:28Speaker 4: the other thing I think sometimes you know, in the
- 18:31Speaker 4: world of talking about sports, like he got disrespected. He
- 18:33Speaker 4: went two overall, you know, he didn't drop to the
- 18:37Speaker 4: seventh round. So I think he's definitely been better than
- 18:41Speaker 4: everyone expected. And I think he's a good example of
- 18:44Speaker 4: can he play football because that's ultimately what he's being
- 18:46Speaker 4: played paid to do, play football, And there's a maturity
- 18:49Speaker 4: to him clearly. I mean, he's I find him pretty
- 18:51Speaker 4: easy to root for.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Do some people value the tests like organizations more than others?
- 18:57Speaker 2: I guess is also what I'm asking because again, why
- 19:00Speaker 2: I take the test if it's not valued by at
- 19:02Speaker 2: least some people.
- 19:03Speaker 4: I think a lot of you know, the standardized wonderlicks
- 19:06Speaker 4: score is kind of viewed as I think we're kind
- 19:09Speaker 4: of similar ages maybe as like the Act and a
- 19:12Speaker 4: SAT they're kind of old school. You can only put
- 19:15Speaker 4: so much stock into them. There are a lot of
- 19:17Speaker 4: I think a lot of these organizations, like I said,
- 19:20Speaker 4: they're investing so much money, have invested in you know,
- 19:24Speaker 4: cognitive testing. I'm talking you know, Navy seals or people
- 19:28Speaker 4: that would you know help major Fortune five hundred company
- 19:35Speaker 4: try to find a CFO or CEO so that they
- 19:37Speaker 4: are doing tests that more. How do you handle adversity
- 19:40Speaker 4: the quickness of your brain operating more than just you know,
- 19:45Speaker 4: if there's seven widgets in a bag and the building
- 19:48Speaker 4: catches on.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Fire, what happens.
- 19:50Speaker 4: So I think a lot of teams do that stuff
- 19:52Speaker 4: that never gets out that there was a test. There's
- 19:55Speaker 4: like this light test that I guess values how quick
- 20:01Speaker 4: the brain basically the pistons upstairs fire. And for example,
- 20:04Speaker 4: I actually don't think CJ scored that well in that either,
- 20:07Speaker 4: so it kind of discredits that. A couple of years ago,
- 20:10Speaker 4: brock Purty it was like the highest score ever. And
- 20:12Speaker 4: when you watch him play for the forty nine ers, like, damn,
- 20:14Speaker 4: this guy makes pretty quick decisions, So it's it's a balance.
- 20:18Speaker 4: I think personally, standardized tests are always overrated, but when
- 20:22Speaker 4: you compare them to the history of the league, like
- 20:24Speaker 4: a lot of guys, there is some consistency of a
- 20:27Speaker 4: lot of guys scored that are good players at a certain level.
- 20:30Speaker 2: When I was in high school and I took the ACT,
- 20:33Speaker 2: I ended up being awesome at it and helped me
- 20:35Speaker 2: get into college and have scholarships. But I also learned
- 20:39Speaker 2: how to take the test. Just like when these guys
- 20:41Speaker 2: will do a pro day and they do it in
- 20:42Speaker 2: their environment, they learn how to get better at doing
- 20:45Speaker 2: this drill. Can they do that not only with the
- 20:48Speaker 2: physical part, but can they take versions of this test
- 20:50Speaker 2: as well and get better at all of that to
- 20:53Speaker 2: kind of boost what these scouts are seeing when they're
- 20:56Speaker 2: either having a pro day where they are or going
- 20:58Speaker 2: to the combine or taking the test, Yeah, for sure.
- 21:00Speaker 4: I mean that's what they spend their entire offseason, kind
- 21:03Speaker 4: of dialing in how to run the fastest forty, how
- 21:07Speaker 4: to score the best on the test, how to prepare
- 21:09Speaker 4: for all these things that ultimately don't matter on Sunday, right,
- 21:14Speaker 4: No different than college football. You're spending all week if
- 21:16Speaker 4: you're Alabama or Georgia this week getting ready for the game. Right,
- 21:20Speaker 4: it's not about training on your you know, to run
- 21:23Speaker 4: a forty or how many bench press reps you can do.
- 21:25Speaker 4: So I think the best teams And it's hard because
- 21:29Speaker 4: at the time it feels like a really big deal
- 21:31Speaker 4: do a good job of not I would say overinflating
- 21:35Speaker 4: the importance of all that stuff, Like, ultimately, you are
- 21:38Speaker 4: drafting this guy, signing this guy to play games, and
- 21:41Speaker 4: if he's good at playing in the games, assuming you
- 21:45Speaker 4: know he's a good guy, because sometimes if he's not
- 21:47Speaker 4: a good guy, even if he's a good player, can
- 21:48Speaker 4: be a major pain in the butt. Just like in
- 21:51Speaker 4: any organization, right, if you had a guy who's productive
- 21:53Speaker 4: at what they do, but they are not a good person,
- 21:57Speaker 4: it's gonna wear on everyone around them. So you got
- 21:59Speaker 4: a factor. That's where the character stuff. To me, it's
- 22:01Speaker 4: the play the character and then kind of everything else
- 22:04Speaker 4: a second, because if you have if you're a good
- 22:06Speaker 4: player and high character, good work at the guy, it's
- 22:10Speaker 4: gonna be hard for you not to be just consistently
- 22:12Speaker 4: good for a while, you know, God permitting you get
- 22:14Speaker 4: injured or whatever. Which is a big part of football.
- 22:16Speaker 4: But I think that's what you bet on the play
- 22:19Speaker 4: and the person.
- 22:20Speaker 3: There was always a scale.
- 22:22Speaker 2: And I've been married for a couple of years now,
- 22:23Speaker 2: but you know, the hotter she is, the crazier she
- 22:26Speaker 2: could be. So yeah, if the better player you are
- 22:30Speaker 2: the worst character you can have, is it a similar
- 22:33Speaker 2: type scale.
- 22:33Speaker 4: I think Doc Rivers I heard him say this a
- 22:35Speaker 4: long time ago. The moment your your problems outweigh your play,
- 22:41Speaker 4: you're done. And you know, historically, let's say, I mean,
- 22:44Speaker 4: let's be real, football has had a lot of crazies
- 22:47Speaker 4: that have been really good players and they get more chances.
- 22:51Speaker 4: So it's it's just I would say, it's kind of
- 22:53Speaker 4: the way the world works, right. If you're the biggest
- 22:56Speaker 4: asshole in the building, but you're the number one sales
- 22:58Speaker 4: guy by a mile, they're not gonna get rid of you.
- 23:00Speaker 4: You know, if you're scoring twelve touchdowns a year and
- 23:03Speaker 4: you're Antonio Brown or Terrell Owens, they're going to try
- 23:06Speaker 4: to figure a way out. I do think now though,
- 23:10Speaker 4: it's easier to have a better idea because of social
- 23:15Speaker 4: media and the ability to like kind of see people's
- 23:18Speaker 4: true colors. It's just I mean, you're just constantly getting
- 23:21Speaker 4: updates on the way they think, the way they operate,
- 23:23Speaker 4: which might have was obviously difficult ten twenty thirty years ago,
- 23:28Speaker 4: but I think teams put a lot of emphasis into
- 23:30Speaker 4: that now. I also think you got to balance out too,
- 23:34Speaker 4: Like Jalen Carter, the big defensive lineman from Georgia last year,
- 23:38Speaker 4: who was I would say a major red flag, and
- 23:41Speaker 4: that was before the incident happened after the parade, you know,
- 23:44Speaker 4: when the people got killed in the car racing thing
- 23:46Speaker 4: and it turned out that he was in another car
- 23:50Speaker 4: and had left the scene. And then when the combine came,
- 23:53Speaker 4: Jalen Carter, who I think was widely viewed kind of
- 23:56Speaker 4: like years ago, I mean a long time ago now,
- 23:58Speaker 4: like Warren sapp like the best player in this draft,
- 24:01Speaker 4: but makes people a lot of had to leave the
- 24:03Speaker 4: combine and check himself into jail and that immediately freaks
- 24:07Speaker 4: everybody out. And he tumbled, you know. I mean a
- 24:10Speaker 4: lot of teams in the top ten, Atlanta, Detroit, Seattle
- 24:15Speaker 4: easily could have taken them and they and they did not.
- 24:17Speaker 4: And now the one thing the Eagles had, I would
- 24:20Speaker 4: say they had a curveball that other teams didn't. They
- 24:22Speaker 4: had a lot of his college teammates, you know, Jordan Davis,
- 24:26Speaker 4: I mean, who's like Shaquille O'Neal on a football field,
- 24:30Speaker 4: is like his big brother. They have several other guys
- 24:32Speaker 4: from Georgia, and they felt good about the infrastructure to
- 24:35Speaker 4: be able to handle, you know, any potential problems. Also,
- 24:39Speaker 4: I think you got to look at it and having
- 24:41Speaker 4: been around Philly and howie some people mature later and listen,
- 24:47Speaker 4: I mean, that's a big deal. It wasn't his like
- 24:49Speaker 4: he didn't drive the guy off the road, but that
- 24:52Speaker 4: was a situation that you know, in this day and age,
- 24:55Speaker 4: becomes a really really big deal. And uh, so far
- 24:58Speaker 4: so good. Now, part of I think, what other teams
- 25:01Speaker 4: that pass on these guys with the character stuff that
- 25:03Speaker 4: go we'll see wait and see, right, it's not anyone
- 25:07Speaker 4: can have one good year? Can he have a good career?
- 25:10Speaker 4: Does he ever screw over the organization where you wake
- 25:12Speaker 4: up in the middle of the night and go, oh
- 25:14Speaker 4: my god in a situation and that's when you take
- 25:17Speaker 4: these flyers on really talented players because the only reason
- 25:20Speaker 4: you would do it is because he's elite, Because he's
- 25:22Speaker 4: awesome player, and you just you do everything humanly possible
- 25:27Speaker 4: to try to help him out. But the other thing
- 25:28Speaker 4: is once you get to the pros, like in college,
- 25:31Speaker 4: Nick Saban or Kirby Smart can kind of control your
- 25:34Speaker 4: day for the most part, between class, workouts, cafeteria, just
- 25:39Speaker 4: being around you. In professional football, you get, especially if
- 25:44Speaker 4: you're on a winning team, you get Monday and Tuesday off.
- 25:47Speaker 4: You get a lot of money in the bank account,
- 25:48Speaker 4: you get a lot of free time and a lot
- 25:50Speaker 4: of disposable incomes. So it's if you don't trust the guy.
- 25:53Speaker 4: It's easy when it's Peyton Manning or Drew Brees. It's
- 25:56Speaker 4: a little more difficult when it's you know, a guy
- 25:58Speaker 4: that you know. I don't know. I could fly off
- 26:00Speaker 4: the rails fast.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Speaking of Peyton Manning, And if I give you a
- 26:04Speaker 2: few of these guys, and I'm just gonna do guys
- 26:06Speaker 2: that are my I won't say age, but guys I
- 26:09Speaker 2: was able to watch. So I'm gonna like leave off
- 26:11Speaker 2: some of the lways in Montana's although I saw them
- 26:13Speaker 2: I was pretty young. But if I were to give
- 26:15Speaker 2: you Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck and Trevor Lawrence, and
- 26:17Speaker 2: Caleb Williams as prospects because those first three I'd always
- 26:23Speaker 2: heard about.
- 26:24Speaker 3: They can't miss prospects, and they weren't.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I mean, I think you're seeing Trevor Lawrence now and
- 26:28Speaker 2: you're two really starting to be dynamic. Where does Caleb
- 26:31Speaker 2: Williams rank in those with that total foursome.
- 26:35Speaker 4: I'd put him last. I mean, to me, Peyton Manning
- 26:38Speaker 4: and Andrew Luck would be on a different level than
- 26:40Speaker 4: the other two guys. And I think Trevor was compared
- 26:43Speaker 4: to those guys. You know, he went to a program
- 26:46Speaker 4: that was like a rocket ship when he got there.
- 26:48Speaker 4: And remember he showed up and they immediately benched the
- 26:50Speaker 4: other guy who had been starting, and Dabbo went all
- 26:53Speaker 4: in on him, and rightfully. So those guys are all huge,
- 26:56Speaker 4: you know. I mean Andrew Luck was like six five,
- 26:58Speaker 4: two forties. I mean, Peyton got bigger as he got
- 27:01Speaker 4: older in terms of thickness, but he was tall, broad shoulders.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Trevor Lawrence, I think physically, just when you just look
- 27:08Speaker 4: at him, looks a little thinner than the other two guys,
- 27:10Speaker 4: but he's tall. Caleb Williams is not even six foot one,
- 27:14Speaker 4: So part to me of being a great prospect is
- 27:16Speaker 4: like size, you know, in football or basketball, like what
- 27:19Speaker 4: made Shack or Lebron like all time great prospects was
- 27:22Speaker 4: there or Kareem Abdulig. They're huge. I mean, ultimately, sports
- 27:26Speaker 4: is not played by little people. It's played by the
- 27:29Speaker 4: Jalen Carters and the Bosas and these enormous people chasing you.
- 27:33Speaker 4: Caleb's an awesome prospect, but he's short relative to NFL quarterbacks,
- 27:39Speaker 4: not to society, you know. But he's got a good arm.
- 27:41Speaker 4: I mean, he's a really good He's gonna go number
- 27:42Speaker 4: one overall. But I would I would have Peyton Manning
- 27:46Speaker 4: and Andrew Luck. I'd actually probably have Andrew Luck above
- 27:49Speaker 4: Peyton Manning. I mean, be close. I'm just talking prospects
- 27:52Speaker 4: coming out of college, and I mean it'd be like
- 27:55Speaker 4: one A, one B. I'd have Trevor Lawrence as a
- 27:57Speaker 4: clear too, and I would I would not Hell. I
- 28:00Speaker 4: I'd have Matt Stafford as a better prospect coming out
- 28:03Speaker 4: of college than Caleb Williams.
- 28:06Speaker 3: Drake May bigger.
- 28:09Speaker 2: You know, if you listen to what people say when
- 28:11Speaker 2: they never assigned anybody to it, They're like some of
- 28:13Speaker 2: the teams have Drake May over Caleb Williams on their board.
- 28:16Speaker 3: Is that true?
- 28:18Speaker 4: I think it was early in the season because of
- 28:20Speaker 4: size and because of the potential. He did not play
- 28:24Speaker 4: well the second half of the year when they started
- 28:25Speaker 4: playing better teams. I mean, every time I'd look up,
- 28:27Speaker 4: they're losing, he's throwing picks. I watched them lose some
- 28:32Speaker 4: terrible games. I mean North Carolina kind of fell apart
- 28:34Speaker 4: down the stretch and it's not all his fault, but
- 28:38Speaker 4: I do think he had a chance to kind of
- 28:40Speaker 4: run away with it as Caleb was imploding, and he
- 28:44Speaker 4: just didn't. So I would feel pretty confident saying unless
- 28:48Speaker 4: something you know off the field were to happen, that
- 28:51Speaker 4: Caleb Williams will be the number one pick in the draft.
- 28:53Speaker 2: So I want to throw a few players at you
- 28:54Speaker 2: and tell me what strikes you about them, specifically as
- 28:58Speaker 2: someone who not only comments on people now, but you've scouted,
- 29:01Speaker 2: like you've been deep inside of it. But if I
- 29:03Speaker 2: were to say something like Micah Parsons, like what am
- 29:04Speaker 2: I missing that you see about Michael Parsons that makes
- 29:07Speaker 2: him so freaking awesome?
- 29:09Speaker 4: I think the best part of good defensive linemen is effort.
- 29:14Speaker 4: You know it sounds so basic, right, It's like size, strength,
- 29:18Speaker 4: ability to run and bend. But like the best players,
- 29:22Speaker 4: I would say, historically on defense play the hardest. And
- 29:27Speaker 4: it's just it's it's easy for bigger players. I learned
- 29:31Speaker 4: this when I was in the NFL, and I think
- 29:32Speaker 4: it's just true in life. Right, if you're three hundred pounds,
- 29:35Speaker 4: you're gonna get tired faster than a guy that weighs
- 29:37Speaker 4: a hundred and finety pounds. So is it being lazy
- 29:40Speaker 4: or is it like legitimately just a little fatigue. So
- 29:42Speaker 4: it's hard to go balls to the wall every play,
- 29:46Speaker 4: But I think Aaron Donald for a long time JJ Watt,
- 29:48Speaker 4: it's just like every play they're relentless, and I think
- 29:51Speaker 4: that's what you know. Definitely, Micah Parsons brings now he has,
- 29:55Speaker 4: you know, elite speed, elite ability to bend instincts as
- 30:01Speaker 4: a player. But I would just say his motor, and
- 30:04Speaker 4: I would say most of the top players at that position, TJ. Watt,
- 30:07Speaker 4: Miles Garrett, nick Bosa playing hard, mince It's not the
- 30:11Speaker 4: first thing anyone just sitting there over beers would talk about.
- 30:14Speaker 4: You know, it's like basic pee wee football, like just
- 30:16Speaker 4: play hard.
- 30:17Speaker 2: You know.
- 30:18Speaker 4: It's like when they teach a eighth grade basketball, but
- 30:21Speaker 4: even at the highest level, like do you play the hardest?
- 30:24Speaker 4: And I think it gets back to most great players
- 30:27Speaker 4: on defense, whether it's Ray Lewis, especially in the front
- 30:30Speaker 4: right defensive line or linebackers right now, Fred Warner for
- 30:34Speaker 4: the forty nine ers, like every play is balls of
- 30:36Speaker 4: the wall, and if you're a bigger guy, you have
- 30:38Speaker 4: to work extra hard on your conditioning. Obviously, the smaller
- 30:42Speaker 4: you are, dB or corner or safety, they're just I mean,
- 30:46Speaker 4: they could probably run all day and not get tired,
- 30:48Speaker 4: but it's still playing hard as a skill. What about
- 30:51Speaker 4: Jalen Hurts, I would say he's become one of my
- 30:57Speaker 4: favorite players in the league because I respect like his maturity.
- 31:02Speaker 4: He does not celebrate after he wins, throws touchdowns. His
- 31:05Speaker 4: coach is a maniac, always going nuts and screaming at
- 31:09Speaker 4: the crowd. Jalen is a complete opposite. Like he smiles.
- 31:12Speaker 4: You look at him when they hit the game winning
- 31:14Speaker 4: field goal, when they lose a Super Bowl, when he
- 31:16Speaker 4: walk off touchdown, when he throws an eighty r touchdown.
- 31:19Speaker 4: He is just serious as a heart attack. He's like
- 31:22Speaker 4: a trained robot that Nick Saban. Ironically, he had to
- 31:26Speaker 4: leave Nick because he got bench for Tua like molded,
- 31:29Speaker 4: and he's even talked about it, Like me and Nick
- 31:31Speaker 4: have a lot in common, right, and they are serious cats.
- 31:36Speaker 4: I mean, I think he's got the wiring of like
- 31:39Speaker 4: a Drew Brees paid Manning Tom Brady in terms of
- 31:42Speaker 4: like this is not a joke like that, none of
- 31:45Speaker 4: this he's taking it to this is a child's game.
- 31:49Speaker 4: I make a lot of money, but I take this
- 31:52Speaker 4: as serious as anyone takes their job in any walk
- 31:55Speaker 4: of life. And you just see his face. He is
- 31:58Speaker 4: not messing around. And he also has I would say
- 32:03Speaker 4: a characteristic that makes great players, that make successful people
- 32:07Speaker 4: is like unfazed by failure, Like because he can. You
- 32:10Speaker 4: can watch him, You're like, god, he looks terrible, and
- 32:13Speaker 4: then the game keeps going and by the end he's
- 32:14Speaker 4: got five touchdowns. You're like, how the hell did he
- 32:16Speaker 4: do this? And his mental fortitude is elite, I mean
- 32:21Speaker 4: elite now. And I don't know how much you watched
- 32:23Speaker 4: him in college, like especially once he went to Oklahoma.
- 32:26Speaker 4: It's like, this guy's like a running back. This guy's
- 32:28Speaker 4: not gonna be an NFL quarterback and he and even
- 32:31Speaker 4: if you watch him early on with the Eagles when
- 32:33Speaker 4: he kind of wally pipped, you know, Carson wentz like,
- 32:36Speaker 4: I don't know, this is not gonna work. I don't
- 32:38Speaker 4: think any player that I've ever seen has gotten better
- 32:42Speaker 4: faster than Jalen Hurts. It's crazy because even Josh Allen,
- 32:46Speaker 4: who has improved a lot over his career, was the
- 32:49Speaker 4: seventh overall pick. So, I mean, they thought he was
- 32:52Speaker 4: gonna be pretty this guy. A lot of people are like,
- 32:53Speaker 4: got the Eagles took him in the second round. That's crazy.
- 32:56Speaker 4: And he and now you watch him, You're like, how
- 32:58Speaker 4: many guys would you want over him? Not many?
- 33:01Speaker 3: Final three questions? And I want to do the Frank Reich.
- 33:04Speaker 2: We spent time with Frank Reich, and we spent time
- 33:06Speaker 2: with I mean, we lived to Carolina. I spent time
- 33:09Speaker 2: with you know, Bryce and Frank Reich. I loved him,
- 33:12Speaker 2: Like I left going like, that's a dude I want
- 33:14Speaker 2: to play for you look at who he's coached, how
- 33:16Speaker 2: he's coached and is it just the Panthers owner that's
- 33:20Speaker 2: too much of a meddler? Would you have moved on
- 33:23Speaker 2: from him at this point, What are your thoughts on that.
- 33:26Speaker 4: I don't know, Frank personally, I know a lot of
- 33:28Speaker 4: people that do listen. No one has ever said a
- 33:31Speaker 4: bit terse word about the guy right character, elite person
- 33:36Speaker 4: I do think sometimes in football, you know, you kind
- 33:39Speaker 4: of got to be a hard ass. And I do
- 33:41Speaker 4: wonder if some of his scars in Indianapolis have just
- 33:46Speaker 4: thrown him off. You know, he went through a lot,
- 33:49Speaker 4: They had a different quarterback every single year. You know,
- 33:52Speaker 4: maybe looking back, if you could ask him, like, should
- 33:54Speaker 4: I have taken just a year off decompress a little bit?
- 33:56Speaker 4: I jumped right back in. I got obviously offered a
- 33:58Speaker 4: lot of money. I love Bryce in college. How'd you not?
- 34:03Speaker 4: I mean that game in the National Championship a couple
- 34:05Speaker 4: of years ago against Georgia when Metchi and Jamison Williams
- 34:09Speaker 4: were injured and he was playing with like me and
- 34:10Speaker 4: you out there and he was getting peppered, and they
- 34:13Speaker 4: were just NFL players ever everywhere, and he just kept
- 34:16Speaker 4: getting up. I'm like, God, this is one of the
- 34:18Speaker 4: grittiest performances I've ever seen, So I thought he was
- 34:20Speaker 4: gonna be when you do watch him in an NFL
- 34:23Speaker 4: you know, uniform around NF he does. He's the smallest
- 34:26Speaker 4: player I've ever seen. I mean, he's time. It's one
- 34:29Speaker 4: thing to be short, Kyler short. He looks like he
- 34:31Speaker 4: weighs one hundred and sixty pounds, and you just wonder like,
- 34:35Speaker 4: how is this going to work? And the other thing
- 34:37Speaker 4: is the owner is a maniac, right, he's just got
- 34:41Speaker 4: unlimited money. He's I mean, it's hard to hire a
- 34:45Speaker 4: coach a lot like drafting a player. There's a lot
- 34:48Speaker 4: of unknown Even though with Frank you had a resume,
- 34:51Speaker 4: he had been a head coach before. I have a
- 34:53Speaker 4: hard time blaming him, Like it was clearly becoming a disaster.
- 34:57Speaker 4: And you also wonder there there was this viral moment
- 35:00Speaker 4: last year when Josh McCown, whom you probably saw him
- 35:04Speaker 4: when you were there too, who's got just great hair,
- 35:07Speaker 4: was talking to c J. Stroud after the Pro day
- 35:10Speaker 4: and he basically said something like, we got to find
- 35:12Speaker 4: you a place to live or something. And I do
- 35:14Speaker 4: wonder if the coaches because you look at CJ. CJ.
- 35:17Speaker 4: You watch him play like Trevor Lawrence last week, like
- 35:19Speaker 4: he looks the part. Obviously he's really good. He just
- 35:21Speaker 4: looks like an NFL quarterback. Did the coaching staff, who
- 35:24Speaker 4: is full of former players Josh do Staley, Frank Wright,
- 35:28Speaker 4: did they want c. J. Stroud and the owner forced
- 35:32Speaker 4: them to take Bryce because the moment that happens in football,
- 35:35Speaker 4: you get a division and it can get weird fast.
- 35:39Speaker 4: And when you watch the Panthers play, I'd be lying
- 35:42Speaker 4: if I said I watched much of them play, but
- 35:44Speaker 4: they look like people that were not all on the
- 35:46Speaker 4: same page. And I even saw this morning, Tepper must
- 35:49Speaker 4: have talked saying that like he's all in on Price.
- 35:52Speaker 4: So if you want to get that job, Bobby, if
- 35:54Speaker 4: you're gonna interview for the Carolina Panthers, you better tell
- 35:57Speaker 4: him I'm all in on and it goes Hey.
- 36:01Speaker 1: John went back to being a scout. Like when you
- 36:05Speaker 1: when you're a scout and you find someone that's really awesome,
- 36:08Speaker 1: or you find a bunch of players, you just get
- 36:10Speaker 1: clout that you're like the guy that finds some good prospects.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Do you get a lot of praise for that or
- 36:15Speaker 1: is it just kind of that's part of your job, man,
- 36:17Speaker 1: Like that's what you do. Like, thank you, We'll take
- 36:19Speaker 1: it from here.
- 36:20Speaker 4: Yeah, in my experience is kind of the ladder. But
- 36:23Speaker 4: I think the longer you do it, the older you get,
- 36:26Speaker 4: especially when you start getting ingrained. If you've been in
- 36:29Speaker 4: an organization long, like if you work with the Cowboys
- 36:31Speaker 4: and Jerry knows you, they trust you, right, you have
- 36:34Speaker 4: a track record. So when you come to them, like
- 36:36Speaker 4: I'm telling you, we need to be all over this
- 36:39Speaker 4: guy on draft day, like in the fourth round or
- 36:42Speaker 4: a free agent. If you go to bat four and
- 36:45Speaker 4: then it works, it just you know, gains you a
- 36:48Speaker 4: lot of juice within the organization with your GM, with
- 36:50Speaker 4: your coach, and with your owner. So I think the
- 36:53Speaker 4: key is just over a period of time proven to
- 36:57Speaker 4: the people that the decision makers that when you you know,
- 37:02Speaker 4: anyone can say like I love this guy, and you
- 37:05Speaker 4: got to be careful about you know, when we talk
- 37:08Speaker 4: about players at a bar or a podcast or whatever,
- 37:11Speaker 4: it doesn't really matter when you hype guys up or not.
- 37:14Speaker 4: But in a football room, you can't just walk in
- 37:17Speaker 4: and say, Caleb's the best player I've ever seen to
- 37:20Speaker 4: look at you and say, why prove it, right? I
- 37:23Speaker 4: mean it's not This isn't like a bar conversation. This
- 37:26Speaker 4: is like how these people feed their family. So when
- 37:29Speaker 4: you say I think this guy's an all pro in
- 37:32Speaker 4: a in a draft meeting, they're gonna say, well, why
- 37:36Speaker 4: was throwing the tape? Show me exactly, Let's compare them.
- 37:38Speaker 4: Let's bring up five other guys that are in the
- 37:40Speaker 4: NFL their college tape and compare them. So it gets
- 37:43Speaker 4: very serious that way, and you kind of learn to
- 37:47Speaker 4: not pick your spots, but you better have a lot
- 37:50Speaker 4: of conviction when you're going to kind of go all in.
- 37:52Speaker 4: Like if I if I say, hey, you know so
- 37:56Speaker 4: and so is going to be the next country music star,
- 37:58Speaker 4: and then he's not any good. People like this guy
- 38:00Speaker 4: doesn't know what he's talking about. But if I told
- 38:02Speaker 4: you about Morgan Walling, Jason Aldan and John Party, people
- 38:05Speaker 4: are like, got this guy, This guy can pick him right.
- 38:08Speaker 4: This guy knew about these guys back in the day.
- 38:10Speaker 4: So it kind of brings you some more gravitas, specifically
- 38:14Speaker 4: your owner, because they love if you can find guys
- 38:17Speaker 4: later in the draft. It's cheap labor, right, you get
- 38:20Speaker 4: the guy on a cheap like bruck Purty whoever was
- 38:22Speaker 4: paying the table. The people in the forty nine ers
- 38:25Speaker 4: organization are like.
- 38:25Speaker 3: Oh, this guy, we need to listen to him more often.
- 38:28Speaker 3: Probably different guy than Trey Lance, the table banker.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Yeah, that guy is probably you know, keep his head down.
- 38:36Speaker 4: But also there's an element you're allowed to screw up
- 38:41Speaker 4: right now. Some screw ups when you lose, cost you
- 38:44Speaker 4: your job. And that's the difference. I would say in football,
- 38:47Speaker 4: probably no different than business. If you're making money, Like,
- 38:50Speaker 4: if you're losing money, everyone's kind of looking around. If
- 38:52Speaker 4: everyone's making money, everything's good, even the mistakes when you're winning,
- 38:56Speaker 4: like Trey Lance didn't cost the forty nine ers anything, right,
- 38:59Speaker 4: they went to two NFC championships. They're good again this year.
- 39:01Speaker 4: They got lucky. Usually that move, like if Bryce sucks,
- 39:05Speaker 4: the next coach with Carolina is probably gonna be in
- 39:08Speaker 4: trouble too. It's just it's just a fact. Like last
- 39:10Speaker 4: year when they traded for Russell, Wilson Hacke against the
- 39:13Speaker 4: job and Russell. I mean he might have been overshead
- 39:16Speaker 4: or whatever. But if Russell had been good, maybe they're
- 39:19Speaker 4: not a twelve one team, but they're winning nine games,
- 39:22Speaker 4: and it's he's probably not fired. So it's you know,
- 39:24Speaker 4: football is such a black and white sport, like you
- 39:27Speaker 4: win or you lose. And when you win, win, everyone's happy,
- 39:29Speaker 4: even if you didn't play well, right, And if you lose,
- 39:32Speaker 4: even if you play well, cowboys, think about them, right,
- 39:35Speaker 4: they played great against the Eagles, but they lost, So
- 39:38Speaker 4: it sucks.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Three and Out one of my favorite podcasts, and I
- 39:41Speaker 2: stumbled across it. I didn't you know, no one's saying, hey,
- 39:44Speaker 2: talk about how good it is. I literally was listening
- 39:46Speaker 2: and told my guy, is any way we can get
- 39:48Speaker 2: John on like reach out because I'm a massive fan
- 39:50Speaker 2: of how you do your show, what you talk about.
- 39:52Speaker 2: I encourage everybody to check out Three and Out with
- 39:55Speaker 2: John Mittlecoff. And then I'm gonna ask the final question
- 39:57Speaker 2: and no context whatsoever. All I wants an answer with
- 39:59Speaker 2: no content at all, no reasoning. Who's winning the Super
- 40:02Speaker 2: Bowl this year?
- 40:04Speaker 4: I'm gonna go forty nine ers?
- 40:05Speaker 3: Okay, there it is the end. Not letting me even
- 40:07Speaker 3: talk about it.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Just pick it.
- 40:08Speaker 4: That's it.
- 40:08Speaker 2: I just want to picking it and we're moving. Hey, John, seriously,
- 40:11Speaker 2: this has been Bobby. Can I ask you a question?
- 40:12Speaker 3: No, okay, you gotta give contacts. Okay, ask me a question.
- 40:15Speaker 3: I'm ready.
- 40:16Speaker 4: Who's winning the National Championship this year? Man?
- 40:19Speaker 1: I would.
- 40:19Speaker 2: I'm gonna put a future on Alabama today. They're gonna
- 40:22Speaker 2: need a couple of things to happen. And I've been
- 40:23Speaker 2: saying this for the last few weeks. I think it's
- 40:24Speaker 2: gonna be Georgia unless Alabama is able to beat them
- 40:28Speaker 2: in the SEC Championship. I'm an SC homer for sure,
- 40:30Speaker 2: no doubt about it. I'm biased. However, God dang fourth
- 40:33Speaker 2: and thirty one fourth in goal Milroe comes up with
- 40:36Speaker 2: that throw against Auburn. It's like some things are destined
- 40:39Speaker 2: to happen. And if there is a team that I
- 40:42Speaker 2: feel like can can be there because they've always been
- 40:46Speaker 2: there and they know how to do it, it's whatever
- 40:48Speaker 2: team Nick Saban's coaching. So I'm gonna I'm gonna say Alabama.
- 40:52Speaker 2: I'm gonna say Georgia, But then Alabama, you want to
- 40:55Speaker 2: I saw a good stat yesterday. Kirby Smart has more
- 40:59Speaker 2: National chanchampionships than he does times that he's beat Nick Saban.
- 41:03Speaker 2: He's beat Nick Saban one time. Now it was for
- 41:06Speaker 2: the it was for it all. Yeah, it was for
- 41:07Speaker 2: the national championship.
- 41:09Speaker 4: But everyone in you know where you live, the SEC country,
- 41:14Speaker 4: Nick Saban has owned them. Nick Saban is owned him.
- 41:16Speaker 3: Eban owns me.
- 41:17Speaker 2: I just as maybe I'd be like you, sir. Certain
- 41:19Speaker 2: next thing, John, Thank you for your time, man, big fan.
- 41:21Speaker 3: Hope you have a great day.
- 41:22Speaker 4: Thanks, Bobby, appreciate you.

- 43:02Speaker 6: can also I got you.
- 43:03Speaker 3: You can also pick over unders. That's right, no money lines,
- 43:07Speaker 3: So I.
- 43:08Speaker 1: Don't know what two over unders are. Let's skip out
- 43:12Speaker 1: on that.
- 43:12Speaker 3: This will be snake draft. Does anyone want to go first?
- 43:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll go first, all right.
- 43:19Speaker 3: So Eddie you'll go first, and they'll go Eddie, Kevin
- 43:22Speaker 3: me read and read me Kevin, Eddie five rounds. Hold on,
- 43:28Speaker 3: I got a log into my account. Do you guys
- 43:29Speaker 3: have the double authentications that?
- 43:32Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 43:33Speaker 1: I have to do it. Now, what do you mean
- 43:35Speaker 1: they made me do it? Oh?
- 43:37Speaker 3: They did.
- 43:39Speaker 1: I was living on the edge before then. Zero.
- 43:44Speaker 2: I'm like, not say it out loud, beca'mth's gonna hack
- 43:46Speaker 2: my account? But I'm like once, a ten and ten.
- 43:47Speaker 1: No, It's just that's a one time.
- 43:49Speaker 4: I know.
- 43:49Speaker 3: That's why I said I'm an idiot.
- 43:52Speaker 1: Okay, oh man, here we go.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Bo Okay, everybody gets five picks and we're gonna go
- 43:58Speaker 2: with Eddie first. Eddie, you give me it could be
- 44:01Speaker 2: college or NFL. No Thursday night because that was last
- 44:05Speaker 2: night and no Monday night.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Correct. Okay, go ahead, My first pick in the draft
- 44:10Speaker 1: bones is going to be NFL. I'm taking the Chiefs
- 44:14Speaker 1: minus six over the Packers. That's my solid Write.
- 44:19Speaker 3: That down, you guys.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Oh god, that scared me.
- 44:22Speaker 3: Who's keeping up with it?
- 44:24Speaker 4: All right?
- 44:25Speaker 3: Okay, Kevin's got it?
- 44:26Speaker 6: Okay, Kevin, Yes, I am going to go with I'm
- 44:33Speaker 6: gonna stay in the NFL. You know what the Titans are?
- 44:35Speaker 6: I think seven and zero at home. Let's go to
- 44:36Speaker 6: Titans plus one against Colts.
- 44:40Speaker 3: Will you email this out to us?
- 44:41Speaker 2: Here my turn, I'm going Alabama plus five and a half.
- 44:49Speaker 2: I gets Georgia in the SEC Championship.
- 44:54Speaker 7: Reid, I'm gonna go Dolphins minus nine and a half
- 44:58Speaker 7: against the Commanders.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Solid one.
- 45:03Speaker 2: All right, read now you'll be the first pick of
- 45:05Speaker 2: the second round.
- 45:05Speaker 5: Okay, cool, all right, let's see I will go mmm
- 45:11Speaker 5: mmmm forty nine ers minus three against you.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Do you like that, Eddie? Forty nine ers minus three
- 45:18Speaker 1: against the Eagles?
- 45:19Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 45:19Speaker 1: I mean I didn't want to touch that game at all.
- 45:21Speaker 2: It will be funny as if I didn't win, if
- 45:23Speaker 2: I not go Georgia minus five, so at least get one.

- 51:38Speaker 2: count all of our picks and whomever finishes in the
- 51:40Speaker 2: last place is out.
- 51:42Speaker 3: The other three survive.
- 51:43Speaker 2: We're playing for the bucket of money the broken promises
- 51:45Speaker 2: jar over two hundred bucks in there.
- 51:48Speaker 3: If there's a tie for a last place, they're both out. No, sorry,

- 51:53Speaker 6: I was gonna say, we do the Monday night game.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Oh that's interesting, Monday night.
- 52:00Speaker 3: Okay, if there's a tie for last place, we do
- 52:04Speaker 3: the Monday night game.
- 52:07Speaker 1: But who would pick first? Flip a coin?
- 52:09Speaker 2: You both just write your answer down of all the bets,
- 52:13Speaker 2: and then if they don't match, you use them.
- 52:14Speaker 3: If they do match, we.
- 52:16Speaker 2: Go to another bet of that night.
- 52:19Speaker 3: So that's what we'll do.
- 52:20Speaker 2: It'll we equal put in your bet, write it down
- 52:22Speaker 2: like minus two plus over under whatever it is, and
- 52:26Speaker 2: then cool.
- 52:27Speaker 3: All right, So that's it.
- 52:28Speaker 1: Ver good, Yeah, feeling good, feeling good?
- 52:30Speaker 3: Yea for all the money in the world.
- 52:34Speaker 1: Boom, what do we just do? That was the weirdest thing.
- 52:36Speaker 1: That's the weirdest thing I've ever done.
- 52:42Speaker 3: Arkansas beats Duke. That was awesome.
- 52:43Speaker 1: Oh dude, what a great game.
- 52:45Speaker 3: Yeah, it's pretty good.
- 52:46Speaker 1: And you know what. My ten year old like, he
- 52:49Speaker 1: was about to go to bed and I was like, Hey,
- 52:50Speaker 1: who's who should I bet on this one? He's like,
- 52:53Speaker 1: Arkansas is gonna win this. Dad. I was like, no,
- 52:55Speaker 1: I'm serious, Like should we should we just bet Duke.
- 52:57Speaker 1: He's like no, I'm telling you, Arkansas's gonna win this.
- 53:00Speaker 2: Last night, my wife called and our mailbox is not
- 53:03Speaker 2: right at our house. You gonna walk down the street.
- 53:06Speaker 2: And I was watching the game and working on the
- 53:08Speaker 2: radio show. She called me to the part of like
- 53:11Speaker 2: back in the bedroom, Hey, what's up? Just yell what
- 53:14Speaker 2: she called? She goes, hey, I just got a call.
- 53:15Speaker 2: I was like, what what up? She goes, you're watching
- 53:17Speaker 2: the game. So yeah, because she got a call from somebody.
- 53:19Speaker 2: I don't think it's a scammer. They said that if
- 53:21Speaker 2: you walk down and got the mail, Arkansas would win.
- 53:24Speaker 2: And I was like really, She's like yeah. She said
- 53:27Speaker 2: there are like five Amazon packages in there, and that
- 53:29Speaker 2: whoever you just called me said Arkansas went.
- 53:31Speaker 3: If you would give me that mail?
- 53:32Speaker 1: And I was like wow, I said.
- 53:33Speaker 3: You're sure?
- 53:34Speaker 2: That's not a scammer, she said, yeah, So I went down,
- 53:36Speaker 2: I got all the mail, brought back up Arcans one.
- 53:38Speaker 3: They were telling them the truth.
- 53:39Speaker 1: Amazing, dude, Wow, you should do that more often. You
- 53:42Speaker 1: should go get her mail.
- 53:43Speaker 2: Well, if it depends that they call her. Yeah, and
- 53:46Speaker 2: I knew that it was all a trick because I'm
- 53:48Speaker 2: not four.
- 53:49Speaker 1: What do you mean it wasn't a trick.
- 53:50Speaker 2: However, just in case it wasn't, what are they gonna
- 53:54Speaker 2: jinx it?
- 53:54Speaker 4: Now?
- 53:54Speaker 6: You need to get packages delivered every Arkansas game?
- 53:57Speaker 2: Not even that. If she just says, hey, guess what
- 54:00Speaker 2: if you're on my feet, Arkansas is gonna win.
- 54:01Speaker 3: Boom, I'll do it.
- 54:02Speaker 2: I'll do it as long as they keep winning whenever
- 54:04Speaker 2: she says, whatever it is. But the first time she
- 54:08Speaker 2: does it and they lose, it's all over. So but
- 54:13Speaker 2: better for her to do would be, hey, if you
- 54:16Speaker 2: cook me dinner. I don't think Arkansas loses.
- 54:22Speaker 3: You just want to like.
- 54:22Speaker 1: Think do My favorite thing of the game last night
- 54:26Speaker 1: was the end when they all rushed the court and
- 54:28Speaker 1: the announcers like, everyone, please stay off the court, and
- 54:32Speaker 1: then immediately goes all right, that's an Arkansas victory.
- 54:36Speaker 4: I give up.
- 54:38Speaker 3: They were yelling Bobby.
- 54:39Speaker 1: I heard that.
- 54:40Speaker 2: During the game, and my sister in law, Grace, who's
- 54:43Speaker 2: Caitlin's sister, mess with me.
- 54:46Speaker 3: She thought I was there until she realized there's some other.
- 54:50Speaker 2: Guy named Bobby. They were yelling as by Patrina.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Of course, bye Patria, Yes patri Yes, you know.
- 54:58Speaker 2: The Panthers can still make playf No, they're one in ten,
- 55:02Speaker 2: but that division is so bad. The Falcons in the
- 55:04Speaker 2: Saints are tied for the best record at five and six.
- 55:08Speaker 2: There are four games. There are four games back. Because
- 55:11Speaker 2: they've got to win all those four It doesn't matter.
- 55:12Speaker 2: I'm just still saying they're still in it.
- 55:13Speaker 3: At one and ten, they've got to win poor games.
- 55:16Speaker 3: But yes, definitely more than that.
- 55:17Speaker 2: Because they're at eleven, there's seventeen games or eighteen weeks.
- 55:20Speaker 3: Oh so they have six games left. They go on
- 55:22Speaker 3: a little streak here.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.
- 55:24Speaker 3: I just think it's hilarious.
- 55:25Speaker 2: They have a three point eight percent chance to make
- 55:27Speaker 2: the playoffs heading into the weekend at.
- 55:28Speaker 3: One in ten.
- 55:30Speaker 2: At one in ten, wild Mark Cuban selling a majority
- 55:34Speaker 2: of the Mavericks also getting off shark Take is giving
- 55:38Speaker 2: up online well, so what did you think, because I
- 55:40Speaker 2: had a thought as soon as I heard he was
- 55:42Speaker 2: quitting Shark tak In and sell the team.
- 55:43Speaker 1: What do you think? I just thought, he I mean
- 55:47Speaker 1: that's like just retired, done done, retire like cash in
- 55:50Speaker 1: my chips. Just kind of what I thought.
- 55:52Speaker 6: You well, because of your change's most ownership though, like.
- 55:56Speaker 3: He still he gets to do it, but he doesn't.
- 55:58Speaker 6: But he doesn't he gets on the book because I guess.
- 56:00Speaker 3: No, No, he gets to have control, but he doesn't own.
- 56:05Speaker 2: He'll have a low loaner, but the ownership is going
- 56:06Speaker 2: to those guys owned the casinos, like they're gonna have
- 56:08Speaker 2: an Yeah, they're gonna have a majority ownership.
- 56:10Speaker 3: But he still gets to be the guy.
- 56:12Speaker 6: So then yeah, I guess, like like Eddie, then it's
- 56:14Speaker 6: like retiring, but you still get the dabblin little he's.
- 56:16Speaker 2: Still owning, he's still doing his work. Weird, but he's
- 56:19Speaker 2: quite Yeah. I thought he's probably gonna die or something.
- 56:21Speaker 2: Oh you think he's sick well, because he's getting off
- 56:23Speaker 2: Shark Tank. He's no, I don't know this, I have
- 56:25Speaker 2: no I heard uh Bill Simmons, I think say he
- 56:28Speaker 2: thought when he heard it, maybe it was Bill Simmons
- 56:31Speaker 2: that he thought there's a scandal coming.
- 56:33Speaker 1: Interesting, so he's unloaded.
- 56:35Speaker 3: Maybe it wasn't Bill Simmons. I forget who it was.
- 56:37Speaker 2: I think Colin Cowhart said he thinks he's gonna run
- 56:39Speaker 2: for president. I thought it was interesting.
- 56:40Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I saw that one.
- 56:43Speaker 3: There are all these ideas. I don't know.
- 56:45Speaker 6: There's no way he retires though, retiring like there's no way,
- 56:49Speaker 6: like he needs to that guy needs to do something,
- 56:51Speaker 6: but he is.
- 56:51Speaker 2: Going to continue being part of that ownership. Yeah, so
- 56:54Speaker 2: he's not retiring.
- 56:55Speaker 6: He can never leave there.
- 56:56Speaker 3: But that's interesting.
- 56:57Speaker 2: Huh.
- 56:57Speaker 3: Mark cubans both of those at the same time.
- 56:59Speaker 2: If one or the other, I would go, well, shark
- 57:01Speaker 2: take I'm like, Okay, he's just bored. He's done it
- 57:03Speaker 2: for a hundred years. Yeah, but selling a team I
- 57:04Speaker 2: was pretty surprised by.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Yeah, so what do you believe more?
- 57:09Speaker 3: I thought he was dying. I mean that's what I thought.
- 57:11Speaker 6: Ye kind of like when Steve Jobs retired.
- 57:13Speaker 2: I thought he was like gonna go and enjoy the
- 57:15Speaker 2: rest of his life because he's dying and he's gonna
- 57:18Speaker 2: go spend time with it.
- 57:19Speaker 3: I don't know this happened.
- 57:20Speaker 2: Zero reason to think this except the factors that lead
- 57:24Speaker 2: me to believe it.
- 57:27Speaker 6: He still looks good a Mark, he was awesome.
- 57:30Speaker 2: He's also doing a lot of interviews now in a
- 57:32Speaker 2: lot of places, like I see him on certain podcasts
- 57:34Speaker 2: and stuff, and I'm wondering that gives them to me
- 57:38Speaker 2: a little bit credibility that he running for president.
- 57:40Speaker 3: Question. They do a lot of publicity, but not to
- 57:44Speaker 3: be president.
- 57:46Speaker 1: You don't have to get rid of your businesses to
- 57:49Speaker 1: be president, right.
- 57:49Speaker 3: No, but you can't run them. They have to go
- 57:52Speaker 3: to a trust.
- 57:53Speaker 1: But then then he's still running the map.
- 57:54Speaker 3: He's still gonna be it doesn't own them.
- 57:57Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll see scam. It would be nuts, though, Yeah,
- 58:02Speaker 1: that'd be crazy like Lucas like watch me Pee could
- 58:07Speaker 1: take them down. All right.
- 58:11Speaker 3: I think that's it. Is there anything else? Oh? I
- 58:14Speaker 3: know what it was?
- 58:15Speaker 2: No, I think I said that to you, Mike, that
- 58:16Speaker 2: that was the playoff thing, right, yep? Okay, okay, Well,
- 58:20Speaker 2: rock and roll hoochiqu I guess let's.
- 58:21Speaker 6: Go baby, rock and roll hoochiq pa.
- 58:25Speaker 1: The boys start basketball this weekend. I'm excited about that.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Their first basketball.
- 58:30Speaker 3: Game any even playing the same team.
- 58:31Speaker 1: No, they're all just too different in age.
- 58:33Speaker 2: They play the same league, any of them, so you
- 58:35Speaker 2: can go watch both in the same building.
- 58:36Speaker 1: The two middle ones playing in the same league. But
- 58:38Speaker 1: I mean one of them plays that noon, the other
- 58:40Speaker 1: one plays at four.
- 58:41Speaker 6: Oh my god, they need an assistant coach or no
- 58:44Speaker 6: speaking which.
- 58:44Speaker 3: Let me end on this. I like Kevin that you're
- 58:50Speaker 3: a Tennessee fan.
- 58:51Speaker 2: They're a local team, the same way.
- 58:54Speaker 3: That I would wear maybe a Titan sweatshirt. I love
- 58:57Speaker 3: going occasionally.
- 58:58Speaker 5: Uh huh.
- 59:00Speaker 3: You do live here, you do like the balls, You

- 59:28Speaker 1: from California and you love the Celtics, you love the Patriots,
- 59:33Speaker 1: you love where you're not. But now you're in Tennessee
- 59:37Speaker 1: and you're like, whoa, why not love the ball?
- 59:40Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 59:40Speaker 6: I need a local team.
- 59:41Speaker 2: I think that's it. See, oh I don't. I think
- 59:45Speaker 2: you just are trying to attach to anything.
- 59:47Speaker 6: No, this doesn't have to do with anything like are.

- 1:00:04Speaker 2: a big Duke sweatshirt on the big blue Devil that
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: would be weird, and then a random blue hat that
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: happens to match it, and I'm like, what's up, man,
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: it's just blue Devil because I know your whole thing
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: screams team.
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: Oh okay either. I just think it matches, so why not?
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: It does match? Yeah?
