Transcript
- 0:06Speaker 1: I didn't have anything better.
- 0:08Speaker 2: I'm trying to get my arm muscles to like exist.
- 0:12Speaker 2: So I've been doing all these like weights, like five
- 0:14Speaker 2: pound weights, like, you know what I mean? Oh, my abs.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Have you ever done bar? I'm going to answer my question.
- 0:22Speaker 1: You have never done bar before. I feel like you're
- 0:24Speaker 1: not a class kind of girl.
- 0:25Speaker 2: No, I don't want to be around like people watching
- 0:28Speaker 2: me suck.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Well, they have in bar, you hold these things. One
- 0:35Speaker 1: or two pound dumbbells. And you're in class being like,
- 0:39Speaker 1: this is the easiest workout of my entire life. This
- 0:43Speaker 1: is a joke. I'm lifting one pound weights, literally.
- 0:47Speaker 2: And then what happens?
- 0:48Speaker 1: The next morning, you cannot move your arms.
- 0:51Speaker 2: It's my stomach. Lifting these weights has impacted my abs.
- 0:54Speaker 1: That's great. You're using your core. Good job.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Should we talk about that we predicted something or should
- 1:03Speaker 2: we talk about Dancing with the Stars first?
- 1:06Speaker 1: The prediction.
- 1:07Speaker 2: We called it, roll back the tape, that Digger was
- 1:12Speaker 2: going to bomb.
- 1:13Speaker 1: You called it.
- 1:14Speaker 2: We love Tom Cruise, but we knew Digger was going
- 1:16Speaker 2: to bomb.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Because we didn't understand.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Now, I don't think we said this on the air,
- 1:20Speaker 2: but I texted you that Verity was going to bomb.
- 1:23Speaker 2: And you were like, it's absolutely not going to bomb.
- 1:26Speaker 1: It bombed. It beat Digger. It beat Digger.
- 1:30Speaker 2: It beat Digger.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Poor Tom. He worked so hard. He took off so
- 1:35Speaker 1: many shirts.
- 1:36Speaker 2: He went through that spirit tunnel. He was dancing, wearing
- 1:40Speaker 2: those sunglasses, doing everything he could. Bombed. It was going
- 1:45Speaker 2: to bomb because no one understood what it was.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Yeah. Anyone go see it. I am surprised Verity bombed because...
- 1:55Speaker 1: That felt like it was, it looks kind of good. No,
- 1:57Speaker 1: I don't think it bombed though. It made 32 million.
- 2:00Speaker 1: That's not a bomb. I think it's just like the
- 2:02Speaker 1: reaction bomb. The reviews are horrible.
- 2:05Speaker 2: And Google did Verity bomb. Because I Googled did Digger
- 2:10Speaker 2: bomb and the internet said yes.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Yes. Hollywood Reporter, Deadline, everybody said that Digger bomb.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Everyone said yes.
- 2:16Speaker 1: To be a part of a movie that just bombed.
- 2:19Speaker 2: You know what?
- 2:19Speaker 1: We've been a part of podcasts that bombed and it's okay.
- 2:22Speaker 1: It's a part of the thing, the process.
- 2:25Speaker 2: We've never had a full bomb though.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Never. Yes, we have.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Just mouth the words. What was our biggest bomb? I
- 2:31Speaker 2: can't see your mouth.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Give it again.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Because you know what's weird is because you're mouthing it.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I'm going to mute myself.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, it's still, I wouldn't call that
- 2:40Speaker 2: a bomb.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Okay. And then one more.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Can you just text me this? Put it in our chat.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Put it in our chat. Non-hits. But we've never had.
- 2:50Speaker 2: A bomb that just like one person listened to.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Oh, correct.
- 2:54Speaker 2: She said the name. It wasn't a bomb. It just
- 2:57Speaker 2: didn't do great.
- 2:58Speaker 1: They were pretty balmy.
- 2:59Speaker 2: They were balmy as far as we're concerned.
- 3:04Speaker 3: And that was the beginning. The beginning of our, of
- 3:07Speaker 3: like you guys creating this department. Of our journey together.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Everybody's got to have a bomb now and then.
- 3:12Speaker 1: It keeps you. I feel like we're missing a good one.
- 3:15Speaker 1: I'm going to look through my notes.
- 3:16Speaker 2: I know another one.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Which one? Oh, yes.
- 3:24Speaker 2: We're sorry to everybody listening, but look, everybody needs to
- 3:27Speaker 2: bomb now and then or fail.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Because that was so good. Tom Cruise is.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Going to come back so strong because here's why he's
- 3:34Speaker 2: going to have The Car Movie.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Days of Thunder.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Yeah, Days of Thunder. Top Gun 3. And then Tom, Tom, Tom, listen.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Jerry Maguire, you need to do another rom-com.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:48Speaker 2: That's what the people want to see you do. Do
- 3:51Speaker 2: you know how many 20-year-olds I saw writing, why do
- 3:55Speaker 2: I think Tom Cruise is hot? Tom, 20-somethings think you're hot.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Give them what they want. They don't want you looking
- 4:02Speaker 2: insane in a, in a, I didn't even know you
- 4:05Speaker 2: were allowed to say fat suits, but I'm just going
- 4:07Speaker 2: to say it. I didn't know you were even allowed
- 4:10Speaker 2: to say fat suit. And nobody wants to see that.
- 4:13Speaker 2: They don't want to see Tom Cruise with weird gray
- 4:15Speaker 2: hair looking not great. They want to see hot Tom.
- 4:21Speaker 2: So give it, give us what we want.
- 4:24Speaker 3: I think people I read on Deadline, it was like
- 4:26Speaker 3: breaking down, deconstructing why it bombed. And I even got
- 4:30Speaker 3: bored with the article, but it was saying it went
- 4:33Speaker 3: from this studio to this studio and people said no
- 4:37Speaker 3: to it and this and that.
- 4:38Speaker 1: And it was like people were not hyped about it.
- 4:41Speaker 1: They said no. Because it didn't make sense.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:44Speaker 3: So I think it was like somebody just saying yes
- 4:46Speaker 3: to him so that they could make these other movies.
- 4:49Speaker 1: So it was kind of one of his passion projects, maybe.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Right. But we want hot Tom. You don't look that
- 4:54Speaker 2: good at 60, whatever you are, four, two, four, whatever
- 4:58Speaker 2: you are, for us to see you in a fat
- 5:01Speaker 2: suit with gray hair. We're not playing, Tom.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I didn't understand it either.
- 5:04Speaker 2: We want you doing two things. Hanging off planes, flying planes,
- 5:09Speaker 2: driving cars.
- 5:09Speaker 1: And hanging off mountains.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Running. We want you running.
- 5:13Speaker 1: 64.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Hanging off mountains.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Yep.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Doing that GQ thing with your shirt off. That's what
- 5:19Speaker 2: we want.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:21Speaker 2: That's what we want.
- 5:22Speaker 1: He tried hard to promote it, but no.
- 5:24Speaker 2: You know who I am into right now?
- 5:26Speaker 1: Really into? Hold on. I feel like that's not fair
- 5:29Speaker 1: to say to Tom.
- 5:31Speaker 2: That he can only look good?
- 5:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:34Speaker 2: He's a great actor.
- 5:35Speaker 1: If he was a girl and we said that to him,
- 5:37Speaker 1: he'd be like, We would all be up in arms.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Well, but everyone loved him in Tropic Thunder and he
- 5:42Speaker 2: didn't look good. So sometimes we'll take that. But right
- 5:48Speaker 2: now we just want you in a rom-com. Fair. Why
- 5:51Speaker 2: can't he do it? I'm not saying he has to
- 5:53Speaker 2: only like be running.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Maybe he wanted to do something different. But here's the thing.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I'm glad he did it. Then he feels good because
- 6:01Speaker 2: he did it and he loved it. Right. He did
- 6:03Speaker 2: it for himself, which I support. And if I ever
- 6:06Speaker 2: get to have dinner with Tom Cruise, I'm going to
- 6:07Speaker 2: tell him all this. I don't want him talking back
- 6:09Speaker 2: to me in word salad. I need, I need to
- 6:12Speaker 2: have a real conversation. I can't have this. Hey, Tom,
- 6:17Speaker 2: how's your salmon? I love to make movies. I can't
- 6:20Speaker 2: have that. I need to know how's your salmon. Right. Right.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I feel like he eats salmon.
- 6:27Speaker 1: If we ever interview him, we should just say, how
- 6:29Speaker 1: do you make your coffee? How do you like your
- 6:32Speaker 1: burger cooked?
- 6:33Speaker 2: Tom, what are you sleeping? What are you binging at night?
- 6:36Speaker 2: I know you watch movies. What's your go-to?
- 6:39Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know that about Tom.
- 6:41Speaker 2: How do you eat your eggs? No, we don't. That's
- 6:44Speaker 2: why he's so mysterious. And we love him because he's
- 6:45Speaker 2: so mysterious. I loved all the articles that are like,
- 6:48Speaker 2: I just read this whole GQ article about Tom Cruise
- 6:50Speaker 2: and I learned nothing.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Nothing.
- 6:54Speaker 2: You know who I like? Who I'm super into right now.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Like I'm really into him. I've always been pretty into him. No,
- 7:01Speaker 2: he's fine. He's fine. This person I've always been into.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I've been into him from the jump. He's had some
- 7:08Speaker 2: ups and downs.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Tell me. Say it. Spit it out.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Tried and true. Ben Affleck. I like that guy.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Oh, me too. I think he's hot.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I think he's smart. I think he's damaged. I think
- 7:19Speaker 2: he knows his damage. There's something about him.
- 7:22Speaker 1: That gives me the ick. I don't know what it is.
- 7:25Speaker 1: The ick?
- 7:25Speaker 2: The ick.
- 7:26Speaker 1: The full-blown ick.
- 7:28Speaker 2: I don't have remote ick for him. Oh, my God.
- 7:31Speaker 2: I just... I have... I think that Ben and I could...
- 7:36Speaker 2: Work it out. Like, I think that it's like, I'm
- 7:38Speaker 2: what you need, Ben. Like, let's go have lunch.
- 7:42Speaker 1: There's something that just does not.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Dinner. I don't have lunch with Ben. We'll both be
- 7:46Speaker 2: texting too much.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Dinner.
- 7:48Speaker 2: A late dinner, even. An eight, nine o'clock dinner. I
- 7:52Speaker 2: don't see him going to bed early.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't either.
- 7:54Speaker 2: I think he goes to bed at midnight or earliest.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Are you irked out because of the whole J-Lo thing?
- 8:00Speaker 1: I mean.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Nope. I don't make some mistakes.
- 8:03Speaker 1: The J-Lo thing. I feel like. Well, now I'm just gossiping,
- 8:07Speaker 1: so I don't want to say it.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Okay.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Because it could be defamatory, but.
- 8:11Speaker 2: No, I don't think it's defamatory.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Allegedly. Say that before you're accepted. Everything is defamatory now.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Now, how do you give your opinion? You're just giving
- 8:19Speaker 2: your opinion.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I just... That's my opinion. That's my opinion. I don't know.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I just... There's something... There's something... There's something.
- 8:30Speaker 2: He was at his best with Jennifer Garner. I'm not
- 8:31Speaker 2: going to be able to top that. Oh, yeah. Right?
- 8:34Speaker 1: And... I don't know. I feel like she's so cool
- 8:40Speaker 1: and she's so kind and she's so sweet.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Right. We're not going to be able to top that,
- 8:45Speaker 2: but he needs a non-actor, non-famous person. They can be
- 8:51Speaker 2: in the industry. They can be a lawyer. They can
- 8:52Speaker 2: be us. They can be whatever.
- 8:54Speaker 1: So he needs Amal Clooney. He needs to follow his BFF.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Everybody needs Amal, but there's only one Amal.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Right.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Like, I don't even know who the other Amal is. Like,
- 9:02Speaker 2: and George deserved Amal.
- 9:04Speaker 1: You know what I think about? Like when George was
- 9:07Speaker 1: with Stacey Keebler. Oh my gosh.
- 9:10Speaker 2: But I love Stacey Keebler.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I do too, but I always found that pairing to
- 9:15Speaker 1: be weird.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Just saw that Minka Kelly Minka Kelly broke up with
- 9:21Speaker 2: the imaginary dragon.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I need you to stop with the blueberries.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Oh, they're bothering you. Oh, it's not ASMR. fine i'll
- 9:30Speaker 2: put them away i just saw that um the imagined
- 9:33Speaker 2: dragon and minka kelly.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Oh yeah oh i didn't realize they broke up i
- 9:39Speaker 1: thought they were gonna like make it oh i like
- 9:43Speaker 1: her i like her ransom canyon.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Show surprised me it got canceled yes.
- 9:47Speaker 1: It did i know i was like dang it i
- 9:49Speaker 1: liked it.
- 9:50Speaker 2: So danielle you didn't rush out to see verity after
- 9:53Speaker 2: you said it was gonna be so good.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I didn't either, and I'm a fan of the books. Look,
- 9:58Speaker 1: the time I watch movies, is on an airplane that's
- 10:01Speaker 1: the only time you can get me to watch a
- 10:02Speaker 1: movie at this point in my life so maybe on
- 10:06Speaker 1: a trip to new york one time i will put
- 10:08Speaker 1: it on oh i will.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I and the people the fact that people think it's
- 10:11Speaker 2: bad makes me want to go more i'm pretty booked
- 10:14Speaker 2: up this weekend but actually i cannot even squeeze it
- 10:17Speaker 2: in maybe tomorrow I can see why.
- 10:20Speaker 3: I can see why maybe it's over-dramatized and stuff. Like
- 10:23Speaker 3: if Anne Hathaway plays it a certain part because she does...
- 10:27Speaker 3: Like that character Verity is very.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I like Dakota. Yeah.
- 10:30Speaker 2: I thought she did some funny stuff on Saturday Night Live.
- 10:33Speaker 2: I can't go tomorrow because I have my Kappa Kappa
- 10:35Speaker 2: Gamma reunion.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, how fun.
- 10:39Speaker 2: So we have Kappa Kappa Gammas from... And a few
- 10:42Speaker 2: DGs and Pi-Fis, of course. From like a 12-year span, maybe?
- 10:47Speaker 1: Yeah. Wow. How many people show up to this?
- 10:51Speaker 2: We don't know. We think somewhere between like 30 and 50.
- 10:53Speaker 2: And how often do you do this? Never been done before. Okay.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Cause I was going to say, I have been graduated
- 11:00Speaker 1: from college for a long time and I have never
- 11:04Speaker 1: done it before.
- 11:05Speaker 2: It's been talked about for a long time and small
- 11:08Speaker 2: groups have done it. In fact, one small group actually
- 11:11Speaker 2: did it one year. They got to sleep in the
- 11:13Speaker 2: sorority house in the summer, which I thought was really cool. Um,
- 11:17Speaker 2: but no, never done it. Oh, I just realized my
- 11:20Speaker 2: chair is, I was like, why am I sort of dizzy?
- 11:22Speaker 2: And it's because my chair is sideways. Hold on.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Um, and did you put this together? No.
- 11:28Speaker 2: So here's the thing. Everybody has talked about it. Did
- 11:30Speaker 2: I take the bull by the horns and start a
- 11:32Speaker 2: group text where, um, I said, everybody wants to do this.
- 11:36Speaker 2: How about this date? And then more, more, more to
- 11:39Speaker 2: the point where, did you know you can only do
- 11:41Speaker 2: 32 people in a group text?
- 11:43Speaker 1: Yes, because ours is, we have to eliminate people before
- 11:46Speaker 1: we got.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Do we have 32 people in our like team text?
- 11:50Speaker 2: No wonder the, because I wondered, I was wondering why
- 11:52Speaker 2: Easton and Mark aren't in it.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Yeah, they can't be.
- 11:54Speaker 2: They don't fit. Got it.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:56Speaker 2: So we maxed out the group text. So we had
- 11:59Speaker 2: to start having side texts. I did order, A slider bar.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I thought that was a fun idea. And a potato bar. Great.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Great additions. And a charcuterie. And a potato bar. So
- 12:13Speaker 1: potato bar.
- 12:14Speaker 2: So it's like, they come in like foil. They're all baked.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 12:17Speaker 2: And then you can have cheese, sour cream, butter, chives. Love.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Probably some bacon bits. I don't know. So I did
- 12:23Speaker 2: a slider bar, a potato bar. So I took the
- 12:26Speaker 2: bull by the horns, but it's not like, I'm not
- 12:28Speaker 2: throwing it. Like we're all throwing it. It's just like,
- 12:32Speaker 2: everybody come. Where is it at? The country club. Cute.
- 12:36Speaker 2: And then somebody said, what do you wear? And I'm like, jeans.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Because some country clubs don't allow jeans, but this country club,
- 12:42Speaker 2: no problem.
- 12:43Speaker 1: That's fun.
- 12:44Speaker 2: And we invited boys, but we don't know if any
- 12:45Speaker 2: boys are going to show up.
- 12:46Speaker 1: That's going to be so fun.
- 12:48Speaker 2: When I laugh, my abs hurt. But I'll talk about
- 12:51Speaker 2: it maybe on Dirty Rush.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Cute. I love that. Tune into Dirty Rush. Should we
- 13:03Speaker 1: talk about Dancing with the Stars?
- 13:06Speaker 2: Yes.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I think Jenna did a good job last night. I know. Oh,
- 13:12Speaker 1: my gosh.
- 13:13Speaker 2: She took our notes.
- 13:13Speaker 1: We appreciate it. Jenna Dewan figured it out. I know.
- 13:18Speaker 1: You know, Jenna and Val, I was very, very sad
- 13:21Speaker 1: about them just in general and how I just wasn't
- 13:25Speaker 1: feeling it for so long. And I'm finally so happy.
- 13:30Speaker 1: I just hope she keeps it up.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Who was the one that literally flung themselves at a
- 13:34Speaker 2: person and the person caught them? They like flew.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Who was that?
- 13:38Speaker 2: Do you know what I'm talking about? They like flew
- 13:41Speaker 2: and kind of like went, and then the person like
- 13:44Speaker 2: caught him like that. It was like a weird, it
- 13:47Speaker 2: was either, it might've been Emma. Who's Emma's partner?
- 13:51Speaker 1: Oh, the banana.
- 13:52Speaker 2: I think it might've been Emma. Was she wearing like
- 13:53Speaker 2: a long black dress?
- 13:55Speaker 1: Yes.
- 13:55Speaker 2: I think it was Emma.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Yes, probably. Sierra got eliminated. Our summer house.
- 14:03Speaker 2: I knew it was going to happen.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I did too.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Cause she's fine, but I think she's just not as
- 14:07Speaker 2: popular as the others.
- 14:08Speaker 1: No, I think she's popular. She just felt very cheerleader.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Like everything was like.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Oh, a lot of, you know, like, Oh, I noticed.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I love her. And I thought she did so good.
- 14:20Speaker 1: And I'm so proud of her. And I honestly, I've
- 14:22Speaker 1: seen so many seasons of summer house and what episode
- 14:26Speaker 1: is this episode five. She got kicked off. I learned
- 14:28Speaker 1: way more about her and these five episodes than I
- 14:30Speaker 1: have ever learned in summer house. And so, you know what, Sierra,
- 14:33Speaker 1: good for you. Yeah, yeah, she did good. I liked
- 14:36Speaker 1: her and everything. But I felt like, I felt like
- 14:41Speaker 1: they all came to play. Like, I was watching and
- 14:44Speaker 1: I was like, what is happening?
- 14:46Speaker 2: A lot of people got scores very close. They're all
- 14:49Speaker 2: close now. 20, 21, 22.
- 14:51Speaker 1: I feel like it's like, it's hitting, it's hitting them.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Like, it's actually like, coming together the dances because they've
- 14:58Speaker 3: been doing this for four weeks now four or five
- 15:00Speaker 3: weeks and they're I still.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Love Mark Ballas I just.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Think he's so good it's.
- 15:05Speaker 2: So good they got the highest score I'm just giving
- 15:08Speaker 2: a lot of credit to Mark Ballas he's just like really.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Good I agree I agree our Connor is getting into
- 15:14Speaker 1: into Rocky Waters here oh no well he's I'm nervous
- 15:19Speaker 1: for him I feel like he's so.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Darling I know but his hip shake last night I
- 15:23Speaker 2: missed him how was Julia how was Julia she was great.
- 15:27Speaker 1: The thing with julia that i will say i just
- 15:30Speaker 1: she feels a little stiff to me just too serious
- 15:32Speaker 1: of a face but i do love her so yeah i.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Think she's too in her head like they said they
- 15:37Speaker 3: told jenna last week she's too in her head and
- 15:39Speaker 3: she came out and she really felt vulnerable i felt
- 15:43Speaker 3: really her chance was pretty like that was my reaction
- 15:45Speaker 3: i was like pretty my highlight and then julia is
- 15:48Speaker 3: too in her head same same critique.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Fair fair my highlight travis garland Oh my gosh.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Oh my God, dude.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Or Travis Garland. That guy can sing, you guys.
- 15:56Speaker 1: I can. Dang. Oh, Amber Riley. Amber Riley. Oh.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Yes. No, Amber Glenn.
- 16:02Speaker 1: That was so good.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Amber Glenn.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Amber Riley performed. Amber Riley sing for Harry Show. I
- 16:07Speaker 1: miss that.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Oh, that's iconic.
- 16:09Speaker 1: It was incredible.
- 16:10Speaker 2: I miss that. I'll go back. So I watch it
- 16:12Speaker 2: on TikTok and so sometimes I miss things.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that was good. It was really good.
- 16:17Speaker 2: I jam it out on TikTok.
- 16:17Speaker 1: You know what? This is the only show that I
- 16:19Speaker 1: put my kids down to sleep and then I hurry
- 16:22Speaker 1: up and make dinner and I just sit. I'm like,
- 16:25Speaker 1: 8 p.m., boom, play.
- 16:27Speaker 2: It's so funny. I love the way kids talk. I
- 16:31Speaker 2: just called my niece a minute ago because she had
- 16:33Speaker 2: the SATs today and now she's out by the pool.
- 16:36Speaker 2: And I was like, how's the tanning going? And she goes,
- 16:38Speaker 2: I got to lock in, auntie. It's homecoming.
- 16:42Speaker 1: She's got to get two shades darker.
- 16:45Speaker 2: She's like, I got to lock in. It's homecoming. I...
- 16:50Speaker 2: Laughed so hard. All right. I mean, I still am
- 16:54Speaker 2: like bummed about Taylor. I'm not going to lie. And
- 16:57Speaker 2: I think there's trouble in Hanson Paradise. I don't know.
- 17:00Speaker 1: That's what I noticed too. What do you mean there's
- 17:03Speaker 1: trouble in Hanson Paradise? Explain.
- 17:06Speaker 2: The brothers have not really supported Taylor.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:10Speaker 2: So I don't know. I don't know.
- 17:14Speaker 1: I don't like that.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Because I love Hanson together. I also don't mind if
- 17:17Speaker 2: they do solo things. I'm okay with that. I'm excited
- 17:20Speaker 2: for Taylor to do solo music. But I also like-
- 17:22Speaker 2: Is it the Jonas Brothers?
- 17:23Speaker 1: It's like, yeah, they got to do their own things.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:26Speaker 2: What are some other brothers bands? Naked Brothers. Do you
- 17:29Speaker 2: know those guys? That's, you know, you know who the
- 17:33Speaker 2: Naked Brothers are. They're famous now as actors.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Is it the Hemsworth Brothers? No, the Hemsworth Brothers.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Dan and Shay are not brothers. They're not brothers. Who
- 17:42Speaker 2: are other brothers? I just said the Hemsworths. No, we're
- 17:46Speaker 2: talking about musicians.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Jackson 5.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I'm not without your love and affection.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Nelson.
- 17:54Speaker 2: They were, they're brothers.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Nelson.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Do you know who that is?
- 17:57Speaker 1: No.
- 17:58Speaker 2: You do because we booked them on KTLA. They are
- 18:00Speaker 2: those blonde brothers. They're Ricky Nelson's sons. You don't know
- 18:04Speaker 2: who Ricky Nelson is. These are old timey people. Who
- 18:08Speaker 2: are other brothers?
- 18:10Speaker 1: Brothers.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Oh, those brothers that just got back together. I think
- 18:15Speaker 2: they start with an O. Everyone's all going crazy about
- 18:18Speaker 2: it in the UK. They kind of broke up and
- 18:22Speaker 2: they were real kind of mad about it. And then
- 18:24Speaker 2: they are back together. And I feel like their band
- 18:28Speaker 2: name is like Ozark or something. Come on, come on, Jackie.
- 18:34Speaker 2: You know these two brothers. Scott Patterson loves them. he's
- 18:39Speaker 2: obsessed with them oh oh it's like that no.
- 18:43Speaker 1: No no no no it's that song no.
- 18:46Speaker 2: It's like they're two kind of angry brothers yes.
- 18:49Speaker 1: They're angry and they're.
- 18:51Speaker 2: British oh god i just spit food out onto my
- 18:55Speaker 2: microphone um and they're kind of wide are you sure
- 18:57Speaker 2: it's not called like odysseus or something oh oasis there
- 19:02Speaker 2: you go Audacity?
- 19:04Speaker 1: That is so good.
- 19:07Speaker 2: My brain was so close. I knew it was an
- 19:10Speaker 2: O from the start. I was like, Ozark, Omnicron. Okay,
- 19:13Speaker 2: so outside of.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Jonas Brothers, outside of the Hansons, there's.
- 19:16Speaker 2: The Bee Gees. Was Omnicron a version of COVID?
- 19:18Speaker 1: Oh, you looked at it? You Googled it?
- 19:21Speaker 2: It's so much more fun when you're trying to do.
- 19:23Speaker 1: It on your brain. I said Jackson 5 and I
- 19:24Speaker 1: blacked out.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I couldn't figure out anything else.
- 19:27Speaker 1: So the only other ones that I see on here
- 19:28Speaker 1: are Bee Gees and the Iskipi Brothers. Oh, the Bee Gees.
- 19:31Speaker 1: How did I forget the Brothers Gibb? Liam and Noel Gallagher.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Gallagher, Oasis.
- 19:39Speaker 1: There you go.
- 19:40Speaker 2: They're back. All right, well, that's brother's talk. What else
- 19:44Speaker 2: Now you texted me all this hype.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Okay.
- 19:52Speaker 1: So thank you so much for bringing this up because
- 19:54Speaker 1: I texted Amy. She often makes fun of my obsession
- 19:57Speaker 1: for Real Housewives. And I told her, I was like,
- 19:59Speaker 1: you know what, Amy, you are not far removed from
- 20:02Speaker 1: the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City this week in
- 20:04Speaker 1: particular because Because they are in your hometown.
- 20:07Speaker 2: I should watch this. So they went to San Francisco.
- 20:09Speaker 1: They went to San Francisco. They stayed at the Beacon Hotel.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I'm assuming that means.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Something to you. Can you just send me like the,
- 20:15Speaker 2: like what episode number? Yes.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Do you know what the Beacon Hotel is?
- 20:19Speaker 2: Yeah, but I'm not a member of this club if
- 20:21Speaker 2: it was the Amador Club.
- 20:23Speaker 1: It was.
- 20:24Speaker 2: It was.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Are you sure?
- 20:25Speaker 2: I looked it up.
- 20:26Speaker 1: I went back to the episode and saw it.
- 20:28Speaker 2: I'm a member of the Battery. Battery.
- 20:30Speaker 1: And I flubbed that.
- 20:34Speaker 2: I don't know the rules that if you're allowed to publicly,
- 20:36Speaker 2: there's certain clubs you're not allowed to be like, I'm
- 20:38Speaker 2: a member of.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Do you know what the Amador Club is?
- 20:43Speaker 2: I do not.
- 20:43Speaker 3: It's in that Bank of Italy building because that's what
- 20:47Speaker 3: I went back to. I went back to the episode
- 20:49Speaker 3: and saw it and I was like, I don't.
- 20:51Speaker 2: And I weirdly, I'm not that familiar with the Beacon
- 20:54Speaker 2: Hotel either.
- 20:55Speaker 1: It's by Union Square.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:57Speaker 1: That's probably why you're not familiar with it.
- 20:58Speaker 2: That's not where the cool kids are staying right now.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:01Speaker 3: And then they go to China Live in the next episode.
- 21:06Speaker 3: China Live in Chinatown. And I've been to that restaurant.
- 21:09Speaker 2: There is a great restaurant in Chinatown that is one
- 21:12Speaker 2: of the best restaurants. China Live? No, it's called RNG
- 21:17Speaker 2: or R & D. Somebody look that up. RNG kitchen,
- 21:21Speaker 2: R & D.
- 21:21Speaker 1: No, it's called R & D. R & D kitchen.
- 21:25Speaker 2: No, no, that's on Montana. I'm blurring it. It has
- 21:28Speaker 2: two letters. Somebody Google RNG Chinese food, San Francisco and
- 21:34Speaker 2: see what comes up because it'll get close enough.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Oh yeah, RNG lounge.
- 21:37Speaker 2: RNG lounge. That's a great place. If you're in Chinatown
- 21:42Speaker 2: and go to the fortune cookie where they like make
- 21:44Speaker 2: your own fortune cookies, you can walk. I can walk
- 21:47Speaker 2: to that from my dad's house.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:49Speaker 2: I literally park at my dad's house and walk to Chinatown.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Oh, nice. And to your dad's house. I love your
- 21:53Speaker 1: dad's house. They went to, they went during St. Patrick's Day.
- 22:00Speaker 1: And I know it's like kind of a bit, the
- 22:02Speaker 1: Irish car bombs and all that kind of stuff is
- 22:03Speaker 1: a big deal.
- 22:04Speaker 2: In the old days, like when I was in college,
- 22:07Speaker 2: we would go out to the city, San Francisco. It's
- 22:09Speaker 2: called People just go, the city. We call it the city.
- 22:13Speaker 2: It went off.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:16Speaker 2: All the streets were shut down and you would just
- 22:18Speaker 2: be like, cute boys everywhere. Let me tell you something
- 22:20Speaker 2: about San Francisco right now. You know, everyone's like, San Francisco,
- 22:24Speaker 2: it's disgusting. Remember that?
- 22:26Speaker 1: It's all cleaned up. It is so popular.
- 22:30Speaker 2: I went to dinner at Original Joe's, not the one
- 22:34Speaker 2: that Adam Sandler goes to, the little Original Joe's, but
- 22:36Speaker 2: I went to the original Original Joe's with friends.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Is the original Joe in a, there's a park in
- 22:42Speaker 1: the middle. Yep. That's the one I've been to. Okay.
- 22:45Speaker 1: I've been to that one. Which one's that one?
- 22:46Speaker 2: The town?
- 22:47Speaker 1: The original?
- 22:47Speaker 2: That's the original Joe's. Okay. I don't know. Cause I've
- 22:51Speaker 2: never like spent a lot of time in New York,
- 22:54Speaker 2: but in Los Angeles, like we don't have a, it's
- 22:56Speaker 2: not like this in Los Angeles.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Right.
- 22:59Speaker 2: I couldn't get parking to save my life, which isn't
- 23:01Speaker 2: like that extraordinary in San Francisco, but like, that's new. people, people, people,
- 23:10Speaker 2: young people in the streets, having so much fun, going
- 23:13Speaker 2: from this place to another.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Bars are overflowing.
- 23:18Speaker 2: The people are on, like, say it's a bar with
- 23:21Speaker 2: like a sidewalk, they're flowing out of the bar. Literally
- 23:25Speaker 2: to get from original Joe's to like the freeway, I
- 23:28Speaker 2: just was like, there's so many people. There's so many
- 23:30Speaker 2: people like just, you would have thought it was a
- 23:33Speaker 2: new year's and it was just a Friday night.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Wow.
- 23:38Speaker 1: I've spent a St. Patty's day in San Francisco and
- 23:42Speaker 1: it was popping for sure. Popular.
- 23:46Speaker 2: And then I went to this other thing.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Oh, sorry. You go first. Just fun little tidbit. Bronwyn
- 23:50Speaker 1: grew up in Danville, which I know is really close
- 23:52Speaker 1: to you.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Well, that's where I, you know, the good sandwich place.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Yes. It's basically in Alamo.
- 23:59Speaker 2: There's Danville chocolates. It's a boutique that every, like all
- 24:03Speaker 2: the cool brands, expensive, but cool brands. Like that's where
- 24:07Speaker 2: we're going for the Gilmore girls. There's like a Gilmore
- 24:09Speaker 2: girls thing in Danville.
- 24:11Speaker 1: And then Whitney grew up in San Ramon.
- 24:13Speaker 2: So you know, San Ramon is like neighboring to Danville. Right.
- 24:16Speaker 1: That's what she says. She says she spent six years there.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Shelby that works for us grew up like Danville.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Amazing. I love it.
- 24:24Speaker 2: You should come on a trip to Danville. Said no
- 24:28Speaker 2: one ever, but still.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Trip to San Francisco and go to Original Joe's. I
- 24:32Speaker 1: like that idea better.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fine. We'll go to the Little Original Joe's.
- 24:36Speaker 2: We'll go one night to the R & G Lounge
- 24:38Speaker 2: and we'll go one night, we'll do Italian at the
- 24:41Speaker 2: Little Original Joe's so that we can then walk down
- 24:44Speaker 2: Chestnut Street and Union Street and you can see all
- 24:46Speaker 2: the 20-somethings. I love it.
- 24:48Speaker 1: I love it.
- 24:48Speaker 2: I'm so in. Out and about.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Wow, I love it.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Let me tell ya.
- 24:53Speaker 1: So you should watch the episode.
- 24:54Speaker 2: We should do like a San Francisco podcast. Like, let's
- 24:56Speaker 2: do our own The Real Housewives of San Francisco.
- 24:59Speaker 1: I'm surprised they don't have that.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Me too.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Like Real Housewives of Marin. They're missing out.
- 25:05Speaker 2: I think a lot of people would say no.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I mean, you would think that about Beverly Hills and
- 25:11Speaker 1: look at the show about Beverly Hills.
- 25:12Speaker 2: True, true, true.
- 25:13Speaker 1: You know?
- 25:14Speaker 2: We should ask Andy Cohen. Otherwise, we'll call it... We
- 25:18Speaker 2: can't say Real Housewives. We need to get a new name.
- 25:22Speaker 1: What's the double lives of suburban wives?
- 25:24Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. What would we call it?
- 25:27Speaker 1: Mormon wives. San Francisco wives. Let's workshop this.
- 25:29Speaker 2: We're going to need to workshop this.
- 25:31Speaker 1: San Francisco wives.
- 25:32Speaker 2: I wear a Patagonia, but I'm cool on the inside.
- 25:36Speaker 2: We're not that fashionable up here. Not like LA.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Yes, you guys are.
- 25:39Speaker 2: I mean, today I'm not.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Look at what I'm wearing. But do you see what
- 25:44Speaker 1: I'm wearing? I'm wearing sweats.
- 25:45Speaker 2: I'm wearing a shirt. What does it say? What does
- 25:47Speaker 2: it say?
- 25:48Speaker 1: This is my vacation shirt. I can't see it.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Does it say this is my vacation shirt? Yes. Things
- 26:03Speaker 2: I don't want to talk about. Let me rattle them off.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Christina Pike.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Kristen Pike. I don't even know what to say. I
- 26:09Speaker 2: don't want to talk about Cornell. It's just too awful.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I do want to talk a lot about Caleb Flynn,
- 26:17Speaker 2: but I think it's not appropriate for me to talk
- 26:18Speaker 2: about because it's so... I told you. I told you
- 26:21Speaker 2: on a different show. I've been watching it so much
- 26:25Speaker 2: that I thought I was watching a drama. I want
- 26:27Speaker 2: to talk about things I... Oh, I'm... Did anybody else
- 26:31Speaker 2: watch In the Line of Fire?
- 26:33Speaker 1: No, I haven't. It's on my list.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Hey, please catch up because I will.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Not say anymore until we've all watched a couple episodes.
- 26:41Speaker 2: What else is everybody watching?
- 26:42Speaker 1: You texted us skunks. What do we know about skunks? Wait,
- 26:46Speaker 1: tell me your story. I'll tell you mine. I hate them.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Okay, thank you, Jackie. So the other night, because you
- 26:52Speaker 2: know I go to bed at two. I got two
- 26:54Speaker 2: problems right now. I go to bed at two and
- 26:57Speaker 2: I sleep with the window open because it gets so
- 26:59Speaker 2: hot and I need fresh air and the fan, the
- 27:02Speaker 2: whole mess, right? You have AC. Yes, but I also
- 27:05Speaker 2: need fresh air. So I'm the person that has the
- 27:07Speaker 2: window open and the AC on.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Stop it.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Sometimes I laugh because I'm cooling out the outside.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Oh my God.
- 27:15Speaker 2: And all of a sudden 2 a.m. I don't, it
- 27:21Speaker 2: hit me like a ton of bricks. The smell was
- 27:28Speaker 2: so bad that I thought I was going to have
- 27:30Speaker 2: to sleep in the other room. It, it's like, it,
- 27:33Speaker 2: burns into your.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Body oh my gosh we have one that used to
- 27:39Speaker 3: go under our house that there was an opening and
- 27:42Speaker 3: so he would go under when it would rain and
- 27:45Speaker 3: we would hear him like going into the little gate
- 27:47Speaker 3: so we had them we had a handyman come and
- 27:49Speaker 3: and and it's a little square opening that goes under
- 27:52Speaker 3: our house and we had him come and and do
- 27:55Speaker 3: that and then now i think he comes and because
- 27:57Speaker 3: he's familiar with that and he sprays and he's.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Geniuses they're geniuses because They know to come back. Now,
- 28:03Speaker 2: weird thing. As some people know, my mom lives 1,000
- 28:06Speaker 2: steps from my house. It literally takes 1,000 steps from
- 28:09Speaker 2: my house to get to her house. I say to her, dang,
- 28:12Speaker 2: I had a skunk issue at 2 a.m. So did she.
- 28:16Speaker 1: How?
- 28:17Speaker 2: They all know to hit that at 2 a.m. Or
- 28:20Speaker 2: if this one skunk is making tracks. I'm not sure.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Yeah, one skunk is making the track, dude. I have
- 28:26Speaker 1: to like get out and shoo him out. Like, and
- 28:29Speaker 1: I see him. Yeah. That probably makes them spray. Don't
- 28:32Speaker 1: do that.
- 28:33Speaker 2: I know. Don't do that.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Leave them alone.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Somebody I know almost had to go to the hospital
- 28:36Speaker 2: because the smell is like so bad. You don't know
- 28:38Speaker 2: what to do with yourself.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Okay.
- 28:41Speaker 2: I'm just saying.
- 28:41Speaker 1: That's horrible. No, no.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Like it got sprayed.
- 28:44Speaker 1: That someone is Amy.
- 28:45Speaker 2: No, it wasn't. It was, I won't name who, but
- 28:49Speaker 2: it's someone that used to work for us as a
- 28:51Speaker 2: mom and dad.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 28:53Speaker 2: So anyway, I also have the rat. Did you guys
- 28:56Speaker 2: see the mouse in the Dunkin' Donuts case? Was that
- 29:00Speaker 2: AI or was that? Is that real?
- 29:02Speaker 1: I think it was real.
- 29:03Speaker 2: He was like hiding out. He's like, it's ratatouille. No,
- 29:07Speaker 2: I've got a rat and it, we get rid of it.
- 29:11Speaker 2: And then it comes back. And when I say we
- 29:14Speaker 2: get rid of it, I know we get rid of it.
- 29:18Speaker 2: And yet another one figures it out. So how are
- 29:21Speaker 2: they so smart? Here's my question. And I don't know
- 29:26Speaker 2: the answer to this at night. Are there a million
- 29:30Speaker 2: rats out there? Like the rats come out at night.
- 29:36Speaker 2: The rat expert told me the rats go out around
- 29:40Speaker 2: 1 a.m. and come home around 6 a.m. Because they
- 29:44Speaker 2: know it's quiet. And so they know that there's nobody bothering.
- 29:47Speaker 2: My entire backyard is hedging. Oh, no, no.
- 29:51Speaker 1: There's just rats all the time.
- 29:53Speaker 2: You know that if you have IV, you got to
- 29:54Speaker 2: get rid of it.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Yeah, they don't bother me. They don't bother me.
- 29:57Speaker 2: What do you mean they don't bother you?
- 29:59Speaker 1: Rats. raccoons possums you are welcomed.
- 30:02Speaker 2: At my house tell me call me when you get
- 30:04Speaker 2: one in your wall call me when one's in your
- 30:06Speaker 2: wall i'll.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Invite a skunk you can hang out just don't smelly.
- 30:10Speaker 2: And you know who are mean they're mean i love
- 30:12Speaker 2: them but they're mean raccoons.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Oh yeah reckons are very mean very mean i haven't
- 30:17Speaker 1: had a raccoon here before.
- 30:20Speaker 3: But i saw air sanitizer amy by the way lysol
- 30:23Speaker 3: air sanitizer That's what I use.
- 30:26Speaker 2: I don't like those chemicals though.
- 30:28Speaker 1: I know. Amy doesn't do candles. So just stay with it.
- 30:30Speaker 2: I don't do anything that smells. I don't do, I
- 30:32Speaker 2: do only battery candles. I can't do fragrance. So like
- 30:37Speaker 2: when I get makeup, I have to make sure it's
- 30:38Speaker 2: like fragrance free.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Oh my God. Very similar to someone on our team.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Somebody else's fragrance free. Yeah. You don't want to name them?
- 30:49Speaker 1: No, because it's one of our hopes. Name them.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Name them. Oh, somebody else hates fragrance?
- 30:53Speaker 1: Oh my God. She's very, very.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah. Well, guess what? I don't do fragrance either.
- 30:58Speaker 2: So we are aligned. And I have this one Bobby Brown.
- 31:03Speaker 2: I do want to talk about that. I don't want
- 31:05Speaker 2: to talk about it, but that Molly Sims, Bobby Brown
- 31:07Speaker 2: thing was just like weird.
- 31:08Speaker 1: She corrected it though. She corrected though.
- 31:11Speaker 2: I think the weird part was on Molly Sims. Bobby
- 31:15Speaker 2: Brown corrected it, but I think Molly Sims kind of overreacted,
- 31:18Speaker 2: but whatever. Bless them.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Bobby Brown corrected it.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Your blush is coming. I have a Bobby Brown blush,
- 31:23Speaker 2: but it does have a fragrance and I don't want
- 31:25Speaker 2: to get rid of it. I'm going to patch test
- 31:27Speaker 2: it again and see if I can handle it. Is
- 31:32Speaker 2: the plague coming?
- 31:34Speaker 1: What is this plague? Where is this idea? Is this
- 31:36Speaker 1: the one where the scientist died from it?
- 31:40Speaker 2: In a plague factory. I literally think the news said,
- 31:43Speaker 2: He worked in a plague factory. And I was like,
- 31:45Speaker 2: why do we have that?
- 31:47Speaker 1: I'm assuming it's to be proactive with vaccines or something
- 31:51Speaker 1: like that.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Something, but it was some sort of rogue plague, I guess.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know if it's coming our way, right?
- 31:58Speaker 2: I saw a couple of doctors like, I'm worried. Here's
- 32:01Speaker 2: what I am feeling between the AI robots and the plague.
- 32:04Speaker 2: I'm going to have to be, I'm a prepper. I know.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Did you watch The Last of Us? Jackie, did you
- 32:10Speaker 2: watch The Last of Us?
- 32:11Speaker 1: A little bit of it.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Did you ever watch that amazing episode with Nick Offerman
- 32:15Speaker 2: that he like won the Emmy for? With the other
- 32:17Speaker 2: guy that's cool from The Lotus? The Lotus. Is it
- 32:20Speaker 2: called that? The White Lotus. The Lotus.
- 32:21Speaker 1: No. I don't think I saw that episode.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I saw the one where- This guy was a full-fledged prepper,
- 32:27Speaker 2: Nick Offerman.
- 32:28Speaker 1: He ends up- Oh, I remember. Yes, yes. This is
- 32:30Speaker 1: all coming back to me.
- 32:31Speaker 2: And the level of prepperness.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Yes.
- 32:34Speaker 2: He literally beat the zombie apocalypse.
- 32:37Speaker 1: He beat it.
- 32:38Speaker 2: He was having steak, potatoes, veggies. He grew a garden.
- 32:43Speaker 2: He figured out how to block off the whole town.
- 32:45Speaker 2: And he and the husband just lived there so happy
- 32:49Speaker 2: until they died, but still- It made me really want
- 32:54Speaker 2: to be a prep. And they did not die from
- 32:55Speaker 2: the zombies. The zombies did not get them. They died
- 32:58Speaker 2: because the husband got some sort of disease and Nick
- 33:00Speaker 2: Offerman didn't want to live without him.
- 33:02Speaker 1: So they both died together. Can I ask you a question?
- 33:05Speaker 2: Immediately, of course.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Okay. Because this is my problem with being a prepper.
- 33:11Speaker 1: I know myself. I know I can prep and I
- 33:14Speaker 1: know I can do that. But if shit were to
- 33:16Speaker 1: really hit the fan and I would have to use
- 33:19Speaker 1: these prepping supplies and survive. Yep. I won't be the
- 33:22Speaker 1: strongest person to survive. Like, I just already know I
- 33:26Speaker 1: got two days in me.
- 33:29Speaker 2: Okay.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Does this make sense?
- 33:32Speaker 2: You're saying like, I don't want to live like this.
- 33:34Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 33:35Speaker 1: I'm just like, I give up. Like, I don't, I
- 33:37Speaker 1: don't know.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Not me. I am ready. I don't want it. I
- 33:43Speaker 2: don't want it. But if I could get like, gather
- 33:46Speaker 2: up the family, hopefully have like a hot boyfriend, get
- 33:50Speaker 2: all the kids. I don't want any, I don't want
- 33:52Speaker 2: to be sad. I want to get everybody together. Some friends,
- 33:56Speaker 2: a nice community of preppers. I can, I know that
- 34:01Speaker 2: I can get those zombies. I am just going to
- 34:03Speaker 2: get it in the eyeball.
- 34:04Speaker 1: This is my thing. And you know how you're supposed
- 34:07Speaker 1: to like with your family members, whatever, like you, you before,
- 34:11Speaker 1: you know, right now, like I know if a disaster
- 34:14Speaker 1: were to happen, here's where we go. We are meeting here.
- 34:17Speaker 1: And we are meeting at my uncle's house.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Okay, because I was going to say, your house is
- 34:21Speaker 2: a little small.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Yeah, very small. Meeting at my uncle's house, who lives
- 34:25Speaker 1: 20 minutes away from us. Not even, 15 minutes away.
- 34:28Speaker 1: We can walk there.
- 34:29Speaker 2: If you had to.
- 34:30Speaker 1: But we can do it.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:32Speaker 1: He is the guy. He's ready.
- 34:34Speaker 2: He's the guy.
- 34:36Speaker 1: So like for me, I know if something were to happen,
- 34:39Speaker 1: I go help the person that's going to help me.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Like I would be like.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Your support staff for the leader.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Yep. Hey, Theo Caesar, what do I do?
- 34:46Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 34:47Speaker 1: You need me to cut this vegetable?
- 34:48Speaker 2: Got it. You know what's weird? I can't do the cooking,
- 34:52Speaker 2: but I can do the, I can get those zombies.
- 34:55Speaker 2: I've watched hundreds and hundreds of episodes of Walking Dead.
- 34:59Speaker 2: I can just.
- 35:01Speaker 1: So this is my point. is I will not be
- 35:04Speaker 1: the person that preps, but I will find the person
- 35:06Speaker 1: that preps and I will be their best freaking employee.
- 35:10Speaker 1: And I will work hard to do all the things
- 35:13Speaker 1: they need me to do. So I feel that way too.
- 35:15Speaker 1: And they have to feed me.
- 35:16Speaker 2: I want to have people in on my expertise. You're
- 35:20Speaker 2: going to need gas.
- 35:22Speaker 1: I know.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Because they need vehicles. The fact like, yes, later in
- 35:27Speaker 2: The Walking Dead, they just had to get horses. But still,
- 35:30Speaker 2: in the beginning... You need gas. So, you know, I
- 35:33Speaker 2: never let my cars, I used to do half a
- 35:34Speaker 2: tank and now I don't let them go below three quarters.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Yeah, my husband's the same way.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Two cars, fully gassed, ready to rock. We need knives. Knives. Now,
- 35:47Speaker 2: I am not a gun person. I do not like guns.
- 35:50Speaker 2: I do not have a gun. I hate guns unless
- 35:54Speaker 2: it's the zombie apocalypse. They are so essential in the
- 35:58Speaker 2: zombie apocalypse. It's insane. Let me tell you what else
- 36:01Speaker 2: you need.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Water, water, water, water.
- 36:06Speaker 2: I don't know if we should be digging wells, but
- 36:09Speaker 2: we need water and we need canned goods.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Well, how would you even store the water though? Because
- 36:14Speaker 3: people say not to do it in the plastic, you know,
- 36:16Speaker 3: you're just going to get it.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Okay, guess what?
- 36:18Speaker 2: At that point, we're not going to worry about having
- 36:20Speaker 2: a credit card amount of plastic in our brain. We're
- 36:23Speaker 2: going to sacrifice that and we're going with the plastic, right?
- 36:26Speaker 2: I don't think we all can be just like, We
- 36:28Speaker 2: can't be running through a zombie field with glass bottles.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Like, it's just like at that point, I'm like, I'm
- 36:37Speaker 1: so sorry. I'm not going to drink that plastic water
- 36:39Speaker 1: when I haven't had a sip of water in five years.
- 36:42Speaker 2: I will also say, and this I learned from fear
- 36:44Speaker 2: of the walking dead. There's bad people out there. Make
- 36:47Speaker 2: sure you get the, full pop when you open your
- 36:50Speaker 2: water bottle. Cause one crazy lady on fear, the walking
- 36:52Speaker 2: dead put antifreeze into the water. I didn't even know
- 36:56Speaker 2: what antifreeze was. They cured it with beer, which I
- 36:59Speaker 2: also don't even know if that works. I'm just giving
- 37:01Speaker 2: you the walking dead episode, but we need water. We
- 37:04Speaker 2: need gas. We need knives. We need food. We need
- 37:09Speaker 2: a fortress. You're going to need a fortress, but that's
- 37:12Speaker 2: harder like paradise.
- 37:14Speaker 1: You know what I will say is like today, this morning,
- 37:17Speaker 1: I got gas and I felt in my car. And
- 37:18Speaker 1: when I left the gas station, I was like, I'm ready.
- 37:21Speaker 2: I'm ready.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Oh my God. I literally have that thought. I'm like,
- 37:29Speaker 1: I got a full tank of gas.
- 37:30Speaker 2: You're like, I can get out of here and get
- 37:33Speaker 2: a whole 300 miles.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Yes.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Yeah. What would be great is if I actually could
- 37:38Speaker 2: have a car that could tow another car. So when
- 37:40Speaker 2: the car ran out of gas, then you jump into
- 37:41Speaker 2: the next car and you could go 600 miles. But
- 37:44Speaker 2: I think, because I don't know how much gas a
- 37:46Speaker 2: person could actually store. Seems sloshy and dangerous.
- 37:49Speaker 1: And then also, you know that there's those people that
- 37:53Speaker 1: are going to be stealing gas from cars.
- 37:55Speaker 2: You know, the old siphon where you suck the mouth
- 37:57Speaker 2: and you're like, are those people getting gas in their mouths?
- 38:00Speaker 2: And how do they all know how to do that?
- 38:01Speaker 2: My other thing about gas is, have you ever had
- 38:03Speaker 2: to get, back in the olden days, we would run
- 38:06Speaker 2: out of gas. You had to fill up the red
- 38:08Speaker 2: thing and take it to your car and pour it in. Sloshy, messy,
- 38:13Speaker 2: the sloshiest, heaviest, messiest. So just storing gas is not easy,
- 38:17Speaker 2: but I don't know. I do have a lot of
- 38:21Speaker 2: gas stations in my town. So maybe I could like
- 38:23Speaker 2: petition the towns to figure out how we could get
- 38:25Speaker 2: the gas out when the zombies come. Like, Hey, look,
- 38:30Speaker 2: I understand this is all electrical and all that, but
- 38:32Speaker 2: let's have a feel safe that when the zombies start
- 38:35Speaker 2: to come in, that we know how to press a
- 38:37Speaker 2: couple of buttons or your crank, maybe a crank and
- 38:40Speaker 2: we get the gas out.
- 38:41Speaker 1: It's so funny that you're concerned about zombies. Cause for me,
- 38:45Speaker 1: I am more concerned about one day, the power just
- 38:49Speaker 1: going out and we just don't have power across the
- 38:52Speaker 1: entire United States of America. Just bloop. That is, I'm
- 38:56Speaker 1: worried about that. And then the second- Do you.
- 38:59Speaker 2: Have any generators?
- 39:00Speaker 1: We have one.
- 39:01Speaker 2: We have a very small generator.
- 39:03Speaker 1: And I encourage people to give those as Christmas gifts.
- 39:05Speaker 2: We need like a prepper expert that could totally talk
- 39:10Speaker 2: about prepping. Because here's my thing. Luckily, we live in California.
- 39:13Speaker 2: I'm never that hot and I'm never that cold. I
- 39:16Speaker 2: am in my champagne problems. But like in actuality- I
- 39:22Speaker 2: actually don't need heat and I actually don't need air conditioning.
- 39:25Speaker 2: So that's, I'm not in the snow. I have matches
- 39:29Speaker 2: so I could make a fire. and make my soup
- 39:33Speaker 2: I need to know from a prepper how long can
- 39:35Speaker 2: we go without power is it forever.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Well you look at paradise and just power went away
- 39:42Speaker 1: so like.
- 39:42Speaker 2: What happens they have power in the thing you're talking
- 39:47Speaker 2: about Shailene Shailene yeah.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Is this our best episode ever? I don't even know.
- 39:56Speaker 2: I don't even know. Can somebody see if there's a
- 40:00Speaker 2: prepper that can like talk to us?
- 40:02Speaker 1: Jackie, it seems like a job for you. Yeah, I
- 40:04Speaker 1: can research. This looks like a job for me.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Do you know that song? This looks like a job
- 40:09Speaker 2: for me. How does that go?
- 40:11Speaker 1: It's Eminem.
- 40:12Speaker 2: This looks like a job for me.
- 40:15Speaker 1: Everybody follow me. Can I tell you another really big
- 40:17Speaker 1: fear I have?
- 40:19Speaker 2: Let it out. I see you wanting to tell us.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Yes. Survival expert. My second biggest fear, and I have
- 40:25Speaker 1: a really good friend that works for Waymo, and I
- 40:27Speaker 1: talk to her about this all the time.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Do Waymos go crazy?
- 40:31Speaker 1: Every intellectual car, meaning the Teslas and the Waymos and
- 40:36Speaker 1: all those that are computer-generated, just one day get hacked,
- 40:40Speaker 1: and they go rogue, like iRobot.
- 40:42Speaker 2: Well, haven't you ever seen the movies where- Cause havoc. Yeah,
- 40:46Speaker 2: but correct. Correct. Haven't you ever seen the movie where
- 40:49Speaker 2: they change the signals, you know, the red light signals
- 40:53Speaker 2: and cars are crashing, crashing, crashing.
- 40:55Speaker 1: That scares me. Yeah, we ought to go live in
- 40:58Speaker 1: like a farm.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Bear Grylls.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Bear Grylls tops.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Bear Grylls. He would make it. He would make it.
- 41:05Speaker 1: He's not the prepper.
- 41:07Speaker 2: We need like a prepper, but do you guys have gardens?
- 41:10Speaker 2: I feel like we all should be making gardens. Yeah,
- 41:12Speaker 2: I have gardens. Can I have my blueberries again? How
- 41:15Speaker 2: much to the end?
- 41:17Speaker 1: I don't have a garden. Oh my God, you guys.
- 41:19Speaker 2: This looks like a good job for me. I don't
- 41:21Speaker 2: know who everybody is.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Just follow me. I'm not surviving on my own. I
- 41:25Speaker 1: am latching on to the one best prepper in Los Angeles.
- 41:28Speaker 2: Oh, you got your uncle.
- 41:30Speaker 1: And I'm globbing on to him and doing anything he
- 41:32Speaker 1: tells me to do so that I'm indispensable as a
- 41:34Speaker 1: hard worker.
- 41:35Speaker 2: I mean, I think I could do it. I do.
- 41:41Speaker 2: I'm not fully prepared. That's why I need the prepper
- 41:43Speaker 2: to tell me like, You know, people like underground bunkers.
- 41:47Speaker 1: I can't do that. I'm too claustrophobic.
- 41:48Speaker 2: I need to be able to have air.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Yeah, like a panic room.
- 41:51Speaker 2: If the air goes, I think that's it for me.
- 41:53Speaker 3: A lot of people in Midwest have those underground ones
- 41:55Speaker 3: because of the tornadoes.
- 41:56Speaker 2: So yeah, I get real claustro in those. I've never
- 42:00Speaker 2: been in one, but I just know.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Yeah, you know. I know. Yeah.
- 42:05Speaker 2: If the air is okay, I think I'm going to be,
- 42:08Speaker 2: I can get, I can, I could, I think I
- 42:10Speaker 2: could kill zombies.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Two at a time.
- 42:12Speaker 3: I just want to make this a clip.
- 42:16Speaker 2: My hair, you can't because this half of my hair
- 42:19Speaker 2: is not blow dried and this half is. But I do.
- 42:22Speaker 2: I watch so many Walking Deads that I'm like, go, go.
- 42:25Speaker 1: How do you not dream of it?
- 42:26Speaker 3: Because when I was watching Ghost Whisperer, I would dream
- 42:29Speaker 3: of ghosts.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Oh no, I don't.
- 42:31Speaker 3: I don't.
- 42:32Speaker 2: I don't.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Oh my goodness.
- 42:33Speaker 2: Because I'm ready. I'm ready. Ready.
- 42:36Speaker 1: Should we end this podcast and doomsday prep it away?
- 42:41Speaker 2: We should talk about something really happy just for a second. Okay.
- 42:45Speaker 2: I'm still knee deep into Reacher. I haven't watched Neely yet,
- 42:47Speaker 2: but I want to. What is everybody watching?
- 42:49Speaker 1: Just say that. Housewives. There's so many right now and
- 42:52Speaker 1: it's like really consuming me. It's really hard to keep
- 42:54Speaker 1: up right now. I started my One Tree Hill rewatch.
- 43:00Speaker 2: Oh. Aggressive.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Yeah. I just finished season one. Oh my God. Have
- 43:05Speaker 1: you rewatched it before? Yes.
- 43:07Speaker 2: So this is round three?
- 43:09Speaker 1: Maybe round two or three, yes. Wow. Just because they
- 43:14Speaker 1: all reunited like mid-September.
- 43:15Speaker 3: And I kept seeing it on social media because they
- 43:18Speaker 3: have their annual One Tree Hill thing.
- 43:20Speaker 1: And so I... Every year. Yeah. Yeah, so... It was
- 43:25Speaker 1: on my mind. I was like, you know what? Let
- 43:26Speaker 1: me watch this.
- 43:26Speaker 2: And it's really good. For me, it's time for spooky.
- 43:30Speaker 2: I'm going to start re-watching all the horror movies. Friday
- 43:32Speaker 2: the 13th, I'm on Elm Street.
- 43:35Speaker 1: You got me at Hocus Pocus. That's all I got
- 43:37Speaker 1: for Halloween.
- 43:37Speaker 2: What did you do? Nightmare Before Christmas?
- 43:40Speaker 1: Yeah. Yes.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Do you consider that a Halloween movie or a Christmas movie?
- 43:43Speaker 1: I don't know. My toddler likes it all year round.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Can I tell you the best Christmas movie, guys? The Holiday.
- 43:49Speaker 1: The Family Stone. A Very Jonas Christmas. I'm telling you,
- 43:53Speaker 1: it's so good.
- 43:54Speaker 2: And also Olaf's very Christmassy Christmas or whatever that was.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Olaf's Frozen Christmas.
- 43:59Speaker 1: I need to watch that. I haven't seen it.
- 44:00Speaker 2: 15 minutes, your kids are going to become obsessed. There's
- 44:03Speaker 2: a new joke every time. Every time. Watch it and
- 44:07Speaker 2: get back to me right away. I will.
- 44:09Speaker 1: It's so good. So good.
