- 0:00We're in Judges chapter 7, and in the book of
- 0:06Judges, in chapter 6, let me just give you some
- 0:09history here so that it makes sense when we read
- 0:12it. In Judges chapter 6, Gideon was called, everybody
- 0:19say Gideon, just making sure you're all awake.
- 0:23Gideon was called, and he was... called in a
- 0:26very interesting place. He was threshing wheat
- 0:30in a wine press. And he was threshing the wheat
- 0:35in the wine press because the Midianites ruled
- 0:39the land. And the Midianites were watching the
- 0:43threshing floor where the wheat was normally
- 0:46threshed. And Gideon knew if I take the wheat
- 0:50to the threshing floor, the Midianites are going
- 0:53to steal it. And so he was threshing the wheat
- 0:57in a wine press, and the angel of the Lord came
- 1:00to him and said, greetings, mighty warrior. And
- 1:03he did not feel like a mighty warrior in that
- 1:06moment. And he said, what do you mean? Who am
- 1:09I? And his calling, he was called to be the next
- 1:14ruler, the judge of Israel, the next one up,
- 1:18and to deliver. the Israelites from the hand
- 1:23of Midian. And so then later on, after he said
- 1:28yes, he went to choose the army. And God said,
- 1:32I want you to do what I tell you to do. And God
- 1:35whittled the army down from thousands of people
- 1:39across Israel to 300 men. And so God said, I'm
- 1:46going to deliver you from Midian with 300 people.
- 1:53And that would take an act of faith. The Midianites,
- 1:59if you read the story, it says they were like
- 2:01locusts on the seashore. They were uncountable.
- 2:05There were so many of them. But God was going
- 2:08to do it with 300. Can I just tell you this is
- 2:12not part of my message, but God does not need
- 2:16resources to get anything done. He just needs
- 2:21availability. He needs somebody to say, here
- 2:24I am, Lord, use me. And God can and will do it.
- 2:30Amen? We don't see a way, but God will make a
- 2:34way. Hallelujah. And so we pick up the story
- 2:38in Judges chapter 7 and verse 9. And it happened
- 2:44on the same night that the Lord said to Gideon,
- 2:48Arise, go down against the camp, for I have delivered
- 2:54it into your hand. That's a powerful word from
- 3:00God, isn't it? If you are afraid to go down,
- 3:07go down to the camp with Purah your servant,
- 3:11and you shall hear what they say. And afterward,
- 3:16your hands shall be strengthened to go down against
- 3:21the camp. And he went down with Purah his servant
- 3:26to the outpost of the armed men who were in the
- 3:30camp. Now the Midianites and the Amalekites,
- 3:34all the people of the east, were lying in the
- 3:37valley as numerous as locusts, and their camels
- 3:40were without number as the sand by the seashore
- 3:43in the multitude. And when Gideon had come, there
- 3:48was a Midianite telling a dream to his companion.
- 3:53And he said, I've had a dream. To my surprise,
- 3:57a loaf of barley bread tumbled into the camp
- 4:01of Midian. It came to a tent and struck it so
- 4:06that it fell and overturned and the tent collapsed.
- 4:11And then his companion answered and said, this
- 4:15is nothing else but the sword of Gideon, the
- 4:19son of Joash, a man of Israel. Into his hand,
- 4:24God has delivered Midian and the whole camp.
- 4:30This is quite a story, isn't it? So the enemies,
- 4:34the ones that don't even know God, had a dream.
- 4:40And his buddy interpreted the dream and said,
- 4:44this is the hand of Gideon. And what they didn't
- 4:48know is that less than a stone's throw away,
- 4:51Gideon and his servant Purah were sitting there
- 4:54listening to the interpretation of the dream.
- 4:58God had already spoken to Gideon. But now God
- 5:04is confirming his word through his very enemies.
- 5:10This is an amazing story. And so it was, verse
- 5:1515, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream
- 5:20and its interpretation that he worshipped. Father,
- 5:28I'm just asking you that in this moment that
- 5:34you would speak to us your very word in Jesus'
- 5:40mighty name. In Jesus' mighty name. Hallelujah.
- 5:47This is an amazing story. Gideon needed to hear
- 5:53a word from God. We are no different. We need
- 6:00to hear a word from God. We need to hear the
- 6:05voice of the Lord. Amen? Let me share some scriptures
- 6:11with you. You can just write them down. I'm going
- 6:13to read them too quickly for you to turn to them.
- 6:17I want to read some scripture. Hebrews 4 .12.
- 6:21For the word of God is living and powerful and
- 6:25sharper than any two -edged sword, piercing to
- 6:29the division of soul and spirit and of joints
- 6:32and of marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts
- 6:35and intents of the heart. Ephesians 6, 17. And
- 6:42take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word
- 6:47of God. Isaiah 55 10 for as the rain comes down
- 6:54and the snow from heaven and they do not return
- 6:57there but water the earth and make it bring forth
- 7:01and bud that it might give seed to the sower
- 7:03and bread to the eater so shall my word be that
- 7:09goes forth from my mouth it shall not return
- 7:13to me void but it shall accomplish what I please
- 7:17and it shall prosper in the thing For which I
- 7:21sent it. We're talking about the word of God.
- 7:242 Timothy 3 .16, all scripture is given by inspiration
- 7:30of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
- 7:34and for correction in instruction and righteousness
- 7:37that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly
- 7:42equipped for every good work. That's a great
- 7:46scripture, isn't it? You can tell from just what
- 7:49I'm reading that the word of God changes everything.
- 7:54The word of God is powerful and effective. Now
- 7:58listen to this. In the beginning, this is John
- 8:021 .1. In the beginning was the word. And the
- 8:08word was with God. And the word was God. And
- 8:15then John 1 .14. And the word became flesh and
- 8:21dwelt among us. beheld his glory. Jesus is the
- 8:31living word. Amen? We're talking about the word
- 8:36of God. We're talking about that thing that sustains
- 8:40us and changes us and shapes us. The psalmist
- 8:44said, your word have I hidden in my heart that
- 8:50I might not sin against you. This is the word
- 8:55of God. I love 1 John 2, 14. It says this, I
- 9:00have written to you, young men, because you are
- 9:04strong and the word of God lives in you. I want
- 9:11to read that one again. All the young men, listen
- 9:14to me. I have written to you, young men, because
- 9:18you are strong and the word of God abides in
- 9:24you. That's powerful. And then the last one that
- 9:30I'm going to read for now, John 15, 7. This is
- 9:35a promise from Jesus. If you abide in me and
- 9:40my word. abides in you, you will ask whatever
- 9:47you desire and it shall be done for you. We need
- 9:53to latch on to that promise. Amen? I'm going
- 9:58to read it again. If you abide in me and my word
- 10:02abides in you, you will ask what you desire and
- 10:07it shall be done for you. And so just in these
- 10:11verses that I've read, the Word of God shapes
- 10:15us and changes us. The Word of God leads us and
- 10:19guides us. The Word of God empowers us. The Word
- 10:23of God changes our prayer life. We didn't continue
- 10:28in Acts chapter 4, but in Acts chapter 4, one
- 10:32thing they did is they quoted back to God Psalm
- 10:36chapter 2. And they prayed the word of God back
- 10:44to the Lord. The word of God changes everything.
- 10:49The word of God is powerful and effective. There
- 10:54is power in the word of God. There has been an
- 10:59onslaught down through the centuries against
- 11:03the word of God. It's the most burned book, banned
- 11:08book, book that has been discarded and tried
- 11:13to be silenced throughout history. There were,
- 11:16in fact, times in dark times in church history
- 11:22where leaders tried to keep the people of God
- 11:28from knowing the word of God. They wanted only
- 11:33the priests. To know the Word of God. Why? So
- 11:37that they could exercise control over the people.
- 11:41It was a dark chapter in the history of the church.
- 11:46Keep everybody in the dark. That way we can use
- 11:50the Word of God to manipulate the people. And
- 11:56then came along people like John Wycliffe. John
- 12:05Wycliffe was a Catholic priest. Some people don't
- 12:09know that. But he was also called the morning
- 12:13star of the Reformation. This English scholar,
- 12:19he directed the first complete translation of
- 12:24the Bible into English in the 1300s. And he argued
- 12:31that the Bible was the ultimate authority for
- 12:35Christians, not the Pope. He sent out traveling
- 12:42preachers to share the Scriptures with ordinary
- 12:48people. This was the beginning of something.
- 12:54Another man named John Huss was a Czech. In Bohemia,
- 13:02he was inspired by John Wycliffe and he promoted
- 13:08preaching and worship in the local Czech language
- 13:13instead of Latin so that the common people could
- 13:20understand the word of God. He was burned at
- 13:26the stake for heresy. which sparked a national
- 13:32movement to defend the freedom of Scripture.
- 13:38Isn't that awesome? Another important step in
- 13:43the advancement of the Word of God came in 1440
- 13:47when the printing press was invented in Germany
- 13:55by, I forgot to write his name down, Gutenberg,
- 14:00thank you. And right after the printing press
- 14:04was invented, a man by the name of William Tyndale,
- 14:10who was an English scholar, he translated the
- 14:14first New Testament into English using the...
- 14:20the Greek language that the scriptures were written
- 14:24in. It was the first one. And he printed the
- 14:27first copies in 1526. He stated this, that his
- 14:34goal was to make a common plow boy know more
- 14:38of the scripture than the clergy. That was his
- 14:43goal. I want to make the common plow boy know
- 14:47more of the scripture than the clergy. Wow. That's
- 14:53pretty awesome, isn't it? He was martyred by
- 14:57strangulation for translating and distributing
- 15:02the Bible without church approval. Can you even
- 15:07imagine it? This is the history of the church.
- 15:10This is where we came from. And from that history
- 15:14up until now, from the time of William Tyndale,
- 15:20really, up until now, the Scriptures have gotten
- 15:25more and more and more and more accessible. And
- 15:30I thank God for that. Somebody give God praise
- 15:32for that. Praise God. And so we, in fact, within
- 15:39this last calendar year, we were honored to partner
- 15:43with our missionary, Mark Haney, and we helped
- 15:47financially support a project that interpreted
- 15:50the Scriptures into a verbal language. The language
- 15:55of the people that he is trying to reach is not
- 15:57written. It is only verbal. And so they translated
- 16:01and recorded the entire... scriptures into the
- 16:06language of the people so that they could hear
- 16:09the Bible for the very first time in 2025 and
- 16:142026, for the very first time they can hear the
- 16:18scriptures in their own language. Hallelujah.
- 16:22It's happening. It's amazing. And in my lifetime,
- 16:27in my lifetime should Jesus tarry. Every language
- 16:33on the planet will have access to the Scriptures
- 16:38in their own language. Somebody give God praise.
- 16:42It is happening right now. Praise God. Praise
- 16:47God. And yet, so many of us in our walk with
- 16:55the Lord are neglecting. The Scriptures. It takes
- 17:16effort to get the Word inside of you. It takes
- 17:24effort. Nobody can do it For you. If you are.
- 17:37Finding yourself. Sluggish. In your Christianity.
- 17:45It could be that you are neglecting the word
- 17:48of God. If you are finding yourself. Bored. with
- 17:56your Christianity. You would rather do a thousand
- 17:58other things. It could be that you are neglecting
- 18:03the Word of God. And the remedy is very simple.
- 18:29You open the book and read. Open the book and
- 18:43read. Gideon didn't have a Bible to read. And
- 18:56I believe God speaks direct just like he did
- 18:58to Gideon still today. But I believe that the
- 19:03main source of our inspiration and hearing from
- 19:08God comes from this book. Amen? Gideon had to
- 19:17hear from God. It takes effort to get the word
- 19:23of God in your heart. But some of your spirits
- 19:27are starving. Your spirit feeds on the Word of
- 19:34God just like your body needs food. And some
- 19:38of our spirits are starving because we have neglected
- 19:43the Word of God. I'm not asking you to read the
- 19:54scriptures through in a year. That's some of
- 19:58your practice. I think it's good. I'm not asking
- 20:04you to read seven chapters a day to keep the
- 20:09devil away. What I'm asking is that whether it's
- 20:21a verse, One. Or a chapter. Or you have a plan
- 20:30that you follow. That you feed your spirit with
- 20:36the word of God. Somebody say amen to that. Hallelujah.
- 20:41Feed your spirit with the word of God. Hallelujah.
- 20:48We had a woman in one of the churches that we
- 20:50pastored before we came here who would stand
- 20:53up every Sunday nearly and give a prophecy. And
- 20:57she said to a group of people, she said, God
- 21:03speaks to me direct. I do not need to read the
- 21:07scriptures. That was the end of her giving words
- 21:14in the church. We got to get the word of God
- 21:19inside of us. Husbands, you think you can lead
- 21:23your marriage without the word of God inside
- 21:25of you? Parents, you think you can lead your
- 21:28families without the word of God inside of you?
- 21:31We need the word of God. The word of God has
- 21:37been exalted above his name. The word of God
- 21:41is powerful. Hallelujah. Glory to God. The church,
- 21:47friends, is founded on the word of God. Praise
- 21:54the Lord. And everybody's glad they weren't sitting
- 21:58in that chair right there because I just let
- 22:00out some spittle. It must be true. The word of
- 22:08God, the word of God changes everything. I'm
- 22:16preaching a basic message here. We've got to
- 22:19come back to the Word of God. Do you think Gideon
- 22:23could have done what he did without a word from
- 22:25God? Without the Word of the Lord? No, he needed
- 22:29the Word of the Lord. In fact, later in the story,
- 22:32I'm not going to take the time to read it this
- 22:34morning because I want to get to the part where
- 22:37we make a fresh commitment, church, to the Word
- 22:41of God. I'm trying to stir you up, brother. I'm
- 22:44trying to stir you up, sister. I'm trying to
- 22:46stir you up to get back to the basics of the
- 22:50Word of God. Amen? Feeding your spirit daily
- 22:54by reading the Word of the Lord. It's more important
- 22:59than anything else. It's more important than
- 23:01your job. It's more important than the physical
- 23:05food that you eat. It is more important than
- 23:07anything that you feed your spirit with the word
- 23:11of the Lord. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So Gideon,
- 23:17what did he go through? If you read later on.
- 23:22towards into chapter 8. It says in verse 4 that
- 23:26he came to the river Jordan, although he was
- 23:29exhausted, and he crossed it. He had had trouble
- 23:32with the Ephraimites in verse 1. He had to cross
- 23:36the Jordan River in verse 4. When they got to
- 23:39the other side, the men of Succoth, they had
- 23:42refused to give them any food, and they had to
- 23:46pursue their enemies with nothing to eat. And
- 23:51they did it anyway. Was it food that sustained
- 23:55them? No. Was it their own strength that sustained
- 23:58them? No. It was the word of the Lord that sustained
- 24:05Gideon and his 300 men to go and capture the
- 24:10kings of Midian and destroy the Midianites entirely.
- 24:15Hallelujah. It was the word of God. What is it
- 24:18that's going to sustain you? What is it that's
- 24:21going to keep you on the right path? What is
- 24:23it that's going to keep you moving forward? It's
- 24:27the Word of God that is going to sustain you.
- 24:34It sustained Gideon. It's going to sustain us.
- 24:40Hallelujah. Now, Gideon... When he heard the
- 24:49first time that God spoke to him, he did not
- 24:56mix it with faith. Remember, God told him, he
- 25:03said, hey, I'm going to use you to overtake the
- 25:06Midianites. But if you're still afraid, let me
- 25:12speak to you another way. Take your servant.
- 25:16and go to the camp of the Midianites and listen.
- 25:21And God spoke to him another way. And when Gideon
- 25:28heard the interpretation of the dream, something
- 25:33happened inside of him. And that thing that happened
- 25:37inside of him was faith. We have got to mix the
- 25:43word of God With faith. And believe. Hallelujah.
- 25:53Faith. We've got to mix it. With faith. And the
- 25:59word of God mixed with a believing heart. Will
- 26:02sustain you through anything that you face. Matthew
- 26:07chapter 24 verse 35 says. Heaven and earth may
- 26:11pass away. But my words will never. pass away.
- 26:17Matthew 7 24 says, therefore, whoever hears these
- 26:23words of mine and does them, they mix them with
- 26:28faith believing. I will then liken to him to
- 26:31a wise man who built his house on the rock. The
- 26:35rain descended, the floods came, the winds blew
- 26:38and beat on that house and it did not fall for
- 26:42it was founded. on the rock. Hallelujah. Was
- 26:48founded on the rock. Praise God. Founded on the
- 26:53rock. Are you founded on the rock? Now, in my
- 27:01life, in many different departments, I have had
- 27:06goals, but many of my goals have remained merely
- 27:13aspirational. Does anybody know what that word
- 27:17means, aspirational? It means that you have incredible
- 27:21intentions, but they never actually come to fruition.
- 27:27You believe that it's a good thing, but it never
- 27:32manifests in your life. How many of you have
- 27:36aspirational goals when it comes to eating? Ha
- 27:41ha ha ha ha ha. Yeah. There's a lot more hands
- 27:46up on the inside than on the outside. I know
- 27:48that to be true. You have aspirational goals
- 27:51with exercise. You know that it's good for you.
- 27:57You know that you should do it, but you don't
- 27:59do it. You have the belief. But friends, aspirational
- 28:06faith is not faith. Aspirational faith, it just
- 28:15keeps you in the same place that you are day
- 28:18after day after day after day, year after year
- 28:21after year after year, and nothing else changes.
- 28:26God wants us to move from the aspirational to
- 28:31the real. And where the rubber meets the road
- 28:35is, Am I going to get up 15 minutes early so
- 28:39that I can pray and read? Am I going to meditate
- 28:45on the Word before I go to sleep at night? Am
- 28:50I going to feed on the Word? I had a friend that
- 28:56just made it her goal that every time she ate
- 28:59food, she was also going to feed on the Scriptures.
- 29:04That's a pretty good goal, isn't it? have the
- 29:07word with breakfast. She had the word with lunch.
- 29:11She had the word with dinner. I don't know if
- 29:13she's still doing that, but a season of her life,
- 29:15that's the way that she did it. She decided,
- 29:19I'm going to feed my body. I'm also going to
- 29:21feed my spirit. I'm going to open up the word
- 29:26of God. I'm going to open up the word of God.
- 29:30Well, I don't understand it, pastor. Well, I
- 29:34don't understand it all either. I'm growing.
- 29:40But I know this, it has power in my life. And
- 29:44God will increase and he'll teach me by the Holy
- 29:47Spirit and he'll teach you and he'll lead you
- 29:49and he'll show you. And you might not at first,
- 29:52at first you might say, well, what good did that
- 29:54do me to read that? What good did it do me to
- 29:59read all those names in Chronicles? What good
- 30:02did it do me to read this or read that? But I'm
- 30:05telling you, if you will stick with it and you
- 30:08will make it your portion, you will make it your
- 30:11habit that you will grow in the Lord simply by
- 30:15reading the Word of God. Continue anyway. And
- 30:23then finally this morning, I want to say this.
- 30:27The written word can never replace the living
- 30:32word. I want to say that again. The written word
- 30:39can never replace the living word. What did Gideon
- 30:45do when faith came into his heart and he realized,
- 30:48hey, this really was the God that spoke to me?
- 30:51He got down on his face and he worshiped. He
- 30:58worshiped. Let me read a scripture from John
- 31:02chapter 5. This is very interesting for the religious
- 31:06among us. He says this, you diligently search
- 31:12the scriptures for in them you think you have
- 31:17eternal life. These are the scriptures that testify
- 31:24of me. But you are not willing to come to me
- 31:29that you might have life. That's very interesting,
- 31:36isn't it? Because the religious scholars were
- 31:42looking at this book like a textbook. They were
- 31:48looking at this book not as God intended them
- 31:52to look at it. They were trying. to master all
- 31:58of the commandments so that they could be better
- 32:01people. When the living Word, Jesus, came on
- 32:07the scene, they were blinded to it. They couldn't
- 32:13see. Oh, but when you and I come to this book,
- 32:17and we don't forget that this book Leads us to
- 32:23the living word of God. Whose name is Jesus.
- 32:27Oh, then life comes into us. Imagine what it
- 32:31was like for Paul. His name was Saul in Acts
- 32:34chapter 9, and he was a master of the Old Testament.
- 32:39In fact, he had most of the Old Testament memorized
- 32:43as a star student in the Word, hand -chosen disciple
- 32:47of Gamaliel. He was a student of the Old Testament,
- 32:52but he despised Christians and Christianity,
- 32:56and he was even putting them to death. Can you
- 32:59imagine what happened to him when he met Jesus
- 33:04on the road and was knocked off of his horse
- 33:09and blinded, and he heard the voice of heaven,
- 33:13and he saw the light, and he said, Saul, Saul,
- 33:18why are you persecuting me? And Saul, his heart
- 33:23began to stir. Something began to happen. And
- 33:27he responded and said this, who are you, Lord?
- 33:33Who are you, Lord? He was saying, I don't know
- 33:38who you are, but you are bigger than me. Who
- 33:43are you, Lord? He already knew this person talking
- 33:48to me right now has some cloud. And Jesus responded
- 33:53and said, I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.
- 33:58It's hard for you to live the way you're living.
- 34:01And in the next three days, Saul surrendered
- 34:06his life to Christ. And can you imagine? He had
- 34:12all that. word in him that he had diligently
- 34:15studied and it was inside of him but can you
- 34:19imagine how all of that word began to go and
- 34:24come to life as he met the living word and he
- 34:28came he came to the understand the old testament
- 34:31scriptures now not through the lenses of gamaliel
- 34:35not through the lenses of all his all his teaching
- 34:37ever since he was a child but through the lenses
- 34:40of the living word Jesus. Hallelujah. It's no
- 34:46wonder that as soon as Ananias came and laid
- 34:49hands on him and he received his sight, it's
- 34:51no wonder that he began to preach and teach that
- 34:54Jesus was the Messiah. And he began to prove
- 34:57it from the Old Testament scriptures that he
- 35:00had memorized in his heart. Everything came to
- 35:04life. Hallelujah. Because you cannot separate
- 35:09the written word. From the living word. We've
- 35:15got to come. To the Lord. When you open your
- 35:19scriptures. You're saying to God. God I want
- 35:23to know you more. God I'm hungry for you. God
- 35:29feed me today. God open up my eyes. To what you
- 35:35want to say to me today. Give me ears to hear.
- 35:41What you want to say to me today. God is speaking
- 35:46to some of you. And he's saying come back son.
- 35:52Come back daughter. To my word. It will sustain
- 35:59you. I'm going to ask if the worship team would
- 36:02come. And begin to minister. We build our life
- 36:11on Jesus. What are we building our life on? The
- 36:19Word. The eternal Word of God that will never
- 36:27change. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Thank you, Father.
- 36:39Thank you, Father. Just begin. Just begin to
- 36:46respond this morning to the Word. I don't know
- 36:59what everybody else is going to do, but I'm I'm
- 37:08going to give myself to God's word. I'm going
- 37:15to feed my soul and my spirit every day on the
- 37:25word of God. I'm going to lean my ear into here.
- 37:38What God would say to me through his word. We
- 37:49believe in this church and the gifts of the spirit.
- 37:52We believe in the verbal gifts. We believe in
- 37:55teaching and preaching. We believe in the prophetic.
- 38:01We believe in prophecy and interpretation of
- 38:04tongues. We believe that God speaks to us in
- 38:08many different ways. But this morning, the call
- 38:17is to reaffirm our commitment to the Word of
- 38:27God. The Word of God. Thank you, Lord. Just have
- 38:43a conversation with the Lord right now. Just
- 38:48you and him. God, renew our love for your word.
- 38:57We're addicted to so many things in this life.
- 39:03God, forgive us. We come back to the word. God,
- 39:12we feed our bodies, but we so often neglect our
- 39:18spirit. God, we give ourselves to the word of
- 39:27God. We come back. We come back. Thank you, Lord.
- 39:49Thank you, Lord. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh,
- 39:56my God. Thank you, Father. I'm going to ask everybody
- 40:12to stand across this place. And the altar call
- 40:16this morning is simple. We're giving ourselves
- 40:21to the word of God. We're going to sing this
- 40:27song just once through. Building our lives on
- 40:35the foundation of Christ, the living word. And
- 40:39as we sing it, if you... If you want to make
- 40:42a fresh commitment to the word of God, I'm going
- 40:44to ask you to get up out of your seat. I'm going
- 40:46to ask you to come down. I'm going to ask you
- 40:48to come down to the altar here and just make
- 40:52that commitment to the Lord. Brianna, go ahead
- 40:54and lead us. Thank you, Lord. You're worthy,
- 41:03God. You're worthy. Just find a place around
- 41:07the altar. All of it. Worthy of every breath
- 41:16we could ever breathe. We live for you. We live
- 41:21for you, oh God. Holy, oh. Jesus, the name above
- 41:31every other name. The living word. Jesus, the
- 41:37only one. We could ever breathe for you. We live
- 41:52for you. There is no one like you. There is none
- 42:03beside you. To those around me. There is none
- 42:29beside you. There is none beside you. Open up
- 42:37my eyes in wonder. to those around me. Let's
- 43:00sing, I will build my life. Oh God, this is what
- 43:05we're praying this morning. Calling out to the
- 43:08living word. I will build my life. Lord, we repent
- 44:59right now from the things that have kept us from
- 45:01your word. It is the enemy that has worked overtime
- 45:06to keep us too busy, too entertained, too comfortable,
- 45:10too enthralled with this life, too caught up
- 45:16with other responsibilities. And we have neglected
- 45:22your word. And we ask your forgiveness right
- 45:27now. In the name of Jesus. And we ask a washing
- 45:33to come. A washing to come. God, never has your
- 45:38word been more accessible than it is right now.
- 45:45But we repent, God, and we turn. We turn to your
- 45:50word. We turn to your word. We will build our
- 45:57lives on your word. We will follow your word.
- 46:03Come what may, we will give ourselves to the
- 46:09living word of God. Hear our cry, O God. couples
- 46:21are up here together I thank you for marriages
- 46:23built on the living word of God I thank you Lord
- 46:27Jesus for families and homes built on the word
- 46:30of God that say like Joshua as for me and my
- 46:33house we will serve the Lord hallelujah I thank
- 46:37you God for the commitment to allow the word
- 46:41to have its place in our lives and in our hearts
