- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the porch today because it is
- 0:32pitch dark very early and I had a nightmare last night and could
- 0:39not sleep and that's why we are doing it from here and it's very
- 0:43early. Anyway, let me tell you, I had a
- 0:46plan to talk to you about something today which is this.
- 0:49You can hear the Roosters off in the distance, which is all about
- 0:54the theory of what makes the ship sink.
- 0:56So when we think about this, we often talk about the fact that,
- 1:00OK, what happens when a ship sinks?
- 1:03Why does it sink? Well, it sinks because water
- 1:06gets in. And when water gets in, the ship
- 1:09loses its buoyancy, The air is forced out, the water goes in,
- 1:12the ship sinks. We all understand this.
- 1:15But when you start using this metaphor to bring it forward for
- 1:18yourself and start thinking about what happens when we let
- 1:22things into us, what does that do?
- 1:25It helps us sink. It pulls us to sync.
- 1:28It makes us sink. So I had planned to talk to you
- 1:32about this anyway. Now here's what's funny.
- 1:34I absolutely, 100% cannot watch scary movies.
- 1:38Cannot watch them because they pollute my head.
- 1:42I let it in and then I freak out about little things, about
- 1:45hearing everything around me, thinking it's very scary.
- 1:49This all dates back to when I was a child and my mother's
- 1:53youngest brother used to come to our house after school and watch
- 1:56Dark Shadows. For those of you who may know
- 1:58that show from the, I think it was the 70s early 70s that that
- 2:03show was on. But it scared the crap out of me
- 2:05as a child and from then on I've been useless with scary things
- 2:10so I avoid them like the plague. My family knows this.
- 2:15I last night was out. I was shooting my, I do a call
- 2:19once a month for my clients as a group and we were shooting the
- 2:23call last night and everybody was on a Zoom.
- 2:26And so I was out for, you know, at least an hour and a half and
- 2:30they knew I was going to be out. So they put on a scary movie.
- 2:34Well, it's apparently it went longer than they thought I was
- 2:38going to be out there and I came back in the house and it was on.
- 2:41Now, I did not sit and watch this.
- 2:43This is what's really important. I did not sit and watch the
- 2:46movie at all. I came in, I grabbed my stuff.
- 2:49I said I was going in to take a shower.
- 2:51I turned around, I walked away and I left.
- 2:54So I felt I was clear, but I could hear off in the distance
- 2:58the energy of the movie. I could hear the screaming, the,
- 3:01you know, the whole thing because it's all in that
- 3:03Halloween movie phase. And I didn't think anything
- 3:07about it. This is what's so funny.
- 3:09I didn't think anything about it.
- 3:10And today I knew I was going to talk to everybody about the
- 3:12theory of the boat and what we're letting in in our heads
- 3:15right now and how it's affecting people and how we need to shift
- 3:18that and change that. And then I went to sleep last
- 3:22night. Well, I, I slept for like maybe
- 3:244 hours and all of a sudden I started having these horrible
- 3:30nightmares. Just like I have dreams every
- 3:34single night. I have very vivid dreams because
- 3:37of my imagination, but I don't have nightmares.
- 3:40And this was a nightmare. And I, it was one of those
- 3:43nightmares where you can't move and you're screaming and
- 3:47nobody's coming to help you. It was one of those and I woke
- 3:51my husband up because I was like so uncomfortable about the whole
- 3:54thing and I didn't connect the dots.
- 3:56I didn't connect the dots. And then I came out and I was
- 3:59got up early because I couldn't sleep anyway, so I might as well
- 4:03get up and get things done. And I get up, I come out and I
- 4:07start thinking to myself about I haven't had one of those in so
- 4:11long. What did I do different?
- 4:13What did I eat? What did I did I do something
- 4:15different out of my pattern? And all of a sudden I realized I
- 4:19grabbed my note to get ready to come out and shoot something for
- 4:22you guys. And all of a sudden it hit me.
- 4:25I let in. I was the one that let the water
- 4:28in the boat by having that energy even around me a little
- 4:32bit. I heard it and I should have.
- 4:35If I had consciously stopped and ditched it, it wouldn't have
- 4:39affected me because I've had to do that before.
- 4:41But I didn't and I let it in. And what's important about this
- 4:45is to realize that we let little things in all the time and we
- 4:50don't dismiss them, consciously dismiss them, consciously think
- 4:55about what we're letting in so we can get rid of it.
- 4:59Now, if I had stopped and said OK, that is not a reality.
- 5:03I, I, I do not focus on that and just talk to myself, bring
- 5:08myself back from it. I'm not paying attention to
- 5:11that. I'm paying attention to
- 5:12something else. Sit there, read good thoughts
- 5:15before I went to bed. I could have washed it away, but
- 5:18instead I let it slip and it snuck in and my boat sunk and I
- 5:22had a nightmare. Now you can better believe
- 5:24before I came out here and I talked to you, I already
- 5:27dismissed it. I sat, I read, I got myself back
- 5:30in the right headspace so I can go and coach everybody today.
- 5:34But the point is, what are you letting in?
- 5:36What's sinking your boat? And more importantly, the point
- 5:38is, what are you not noticing that's sinking your boat?
- 5:42Because that's what it's all about.
- 5:44I highly recommend taking an inventory of what could sink the
- 5:48boat. So get rid of it.
- 5:51All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and no
- 5:54nightmares for you. All right, I'll see you
- 5:56tomorrow. Bye.
