- 2:43Speaker 1: cover a case out of Sweeney Texas, and guys, I'm
- 2:47Speaker 1: going to tell you up front, this case is really
- 2:51Speaker 1: frustrating and bonkers. William Russell Gray, also known as Will,
- 2:57Speaker 1: was thirty nine years old when he disappeared.
- 3:00Speaker 2: He was last seen in Sweeney, Texas.
- 3:03Speaker 1: For those of you that don't live here, is just
- 3:05Speaker 1: a small town in Brazoria County, but he was seen
- 3:08Speaker 1: in his home that he shared with his wife, Christy
- 3:11Speaker 1: on October seventeenth, twenty twenty two. Will has brown hair,
- 3:16Speaker 1: blue eyes, and he is six feet two inches tall.
- 3:20Speaker 1: He's a tall on guys, and weighed around two hundred
- 3:22Speaker 1: and fifty pounds, and friends and family describe him as
- 3:26Speaker 1: a kind hearted man who loved his family and who
- 3:30Speaker 1: wouldn't simply walk away from his responsibilities and guys. Today,
- 3:36Speaker 1: we have Will's older sister, Beverly Williams, as a guest
- 3:40Speaker 1: to help us learn a little bit more about Will
- 3:43Speaker 1: and to tell us his story. So, Beverly, I want
- 3:47Speaker 1: to welcome you to Midday Missing.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Hi. Thank you for having me.
- 3:52Speaker 1: No, I want to thank you for coming on to
- 3:56Speaker 1: talk with me because I can't imagine and this is
- 4:00Speaker 1: easy for you. The whole process doesn't sound like it's
- 4:06Speaker 1: been easy. It's difficult and you still don't know. So
- 4:09Speaker 1: I want to thank you for taking the time to
- 4:12Speaker 1: talk with me on the phone, and then also for
- 4:14Speaker 1: coming on today.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Right. Yeah, No, it's definitely not been an easy journey.
- 4:20Speaker 3: It's not something i'd wish on my worst enemy. And
- 4:25Speaker 3: the not knowing is the it's the killer and all
- 4:29Speaker 3: of it.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I wanted to start because we know
- 4:34Speaker 1: he's missing, but I wanted I like to get to
- 4:36Speaker 1: know the person and I like to share. So can
- 4:40Speaker 1: you tell us a little bit about Will and what
- 4:43Speaker 1: he was like as a person and as a brother.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, he had like the loudest personality. And
- 4:49Speaker 3: when I say loud, I mean Everything about him was loud.
- 4:52Speaker 3: He I mean, his laugh, his you know, he was
- 4:56Speaker 3: always joking. There wasn't a cashier go through line. Hey darling,
- 5:01Speaker 3: Hey honey, you know, it was just there was There
- 5:06Speaker 3: was never a quiet time with him around, that's for sure.
- 5:11Speaker 3: As a brother, we don't. We didn't get to have
- 5:15Speaker 3: your traditional upbringing. I didn't grow up in the same
- 5:17Speaker 3: home with him. I was adopted young, but we reunited
- 5:21Speaker 3: when he was around five or six years old, and
- 5:25Speaker 3: from there we just I mean all the way from
- 5:28Speaker 3: hiding him under my bed for my adoptive mom finding
- 5:31Speaker 3: them so that he could still spend the night, all
- 5:34Speaker 3: the way up until he disappeared. We just we had
- 5:38Speaker 3: a bond. You wouldn't, I mean, you get us in
- 5:40Speaker 3: a room and you couldn't tell that we weren't together
- 5:44Speaker 3: our whole lives. We actually joked, I have a text
- 5:49Speaker 3: for me. We joked about how the world couldn't handle
- 5:52Speaker 3: us if we were both in the It was just
- 5:55Speaker 3: he was just full of life, full of love, definitely
- 6:04Speaker 3: deserved better than this.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Now, when did you first realize that something might be
- 6:10Speaker 1: wrong and that he was missing?
- 6:13Speaker 3: His current wife, Christy had called and I knew when
- 6:19Speaker 3: I saw her name on my phone. We had had
- 6:21Speaker 3: previous conversations, and I actually paused and just stared at
- 6:27Speaker 3: the phone. I didn't answer the phone when she initially
- 6:29Speaker 3: called my head immediately went to those conversations, and it
- 6:34Speaker 3: took me a minute. As soon as she got done ringing,
- 6:37Speaker 3: she text for me to call her. So it took
- 6:39Speaker 3: me a few minutes to get myself together and then
- 6:41Speaker 3: I did call her. At that time, she said his
- 6:46Speaker 3: phone was there, his truck was there, but she hadn't
- 6:48Speaker 3: been able to locate him. She went on to tell
- 6:51Speaker 3: me that there had been an argument the night before
- 6:53Speaker 3: over him skimming money from their business account. She told
- 7:00Speaker 3: me that that money had been stored over towards Spring, Texas,
- 7:05Speaker 3: and that originally she had thought that that's where he
- 7:09Speaker 3: was in the morning when he wasn't there, and that
- 7:13Speaker 3: she assumed he had went with some VFW buddies. That
- 7:15Speaker 3: she said she didn't know, but that now that it
- 7:20Speaker 3: was later on in the afternoon that she was starting
- 7:23Speaker 3: to worry. Is what she told me.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Now, leading up to this, had he said anything or
- 7:33Speaker 1: given you any indication YEA, that something was going on.
- 7:39Speaker 3: We had actually had a conversation. He did tell me
- 7:42Speaker 3: he thought that his current wife was planning to do
- 7:45Speaker 3: something and he would not leave without his youngest child.
- 7:50Speaker 3: He had a plan in place, an exit plan. It
- 7:52Speaker 3: just didn't he didn't get that far. So, I mean,
- 7:59Speaker 3: when someone you love tells you you know the things
- 8:01Speaker 3: that are going on, and that they themselves are fearful
- 8:06Speaker 3: of these things, it makes it hard to think anything differently.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Now, if I remember correctly, he had had surgery on
- 8:15Speaker 1: his back or something like recently before.
- 8:18Speaker 3: That, right, he had had back surgery in September, planning
- 8:22Speaker 3: to go back to work at full sixty six in October,
- 8:26Speaker 3: with the plan to have the funds to hire an
- 8:28Speaker 3: attorney to pursue custody or at least, you know, not
- 8:33Speaker 3: lose full custody of his son and his older children.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Now, with all of that going on, did he ever
- 8:42Speaker 1: say that he was thinking of just walking away completely?
- 8:47Speaker 3: Absolutely? Not. Never. He would never leave.
- 8:49Speaker 1: His children because he has two other children. Yeah, correct,
- 8:54Speaker 1: with his previous that's true, he has two older children.
- 8:58Speaker 3: He would never this man, Okay, so he had more
- 9:03Speaker 3: than I mean, there was some issues in court going on,
- 9:07Speaker 3: but up clear up till the time he disappeared. The
- 9:10Speaker 3: man had an abundance of visitation with his children. He
- 9:15Speaker 3: drove from Sweeney up towards Houston every Thursday, roughly hour
- 9:22Speaker 3: and a half to our drive to spend three hours
- 9:25Speaker 3: with his children, to turn around and drive home, just
- 9:28Speaker 3: to turn around and go back and pick them up
- 9:29Speaker 3: on Saturday and then take them to school on Monday.
- 9:32Speaker 3: He did that three sometimes four weekends out of the month.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Something was very involved with skills.
- 9:39Speaker 3: He was very involved. You're not telling me that all
- 9:42Speaker 3: of a sudden, now the blue, these children who meant
- 9:45Speaker 3: so much to him now mean nothing, and he'll leave
- 9:47Speaker 3: them heartbroken and devastated and always wondering. That doesn't make
- 9:52Speaker 3: a bit of sense now.
- 9:55Speaker 1: And this just popped into my brain. With him having surgery,
- 9:59Speaker 1: was he taken pain medication? Could that have maybe affected
- 10:03Speaker 1: his thought process?
- 10:04Speaker 3: The last phone conversation I had with my brother was
- 10:08Speaker 3: after the surgery, and he was happy and aesthetic that
- 10:11Speaker 3: he was no longer on those medications.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Okay, so it fixed the problem for him.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Yeah. He told me he felt like I mean, he'd
- 10:19Speaker 3: been playing basketball. He told me he felt like good
- 10:21Speaker 3: as new, like he actually uh said, he he wished
- 10:25Speaker 3: he hadn't prolonged the surgery because he could have had
- 10:29Speaker 3: it sooner and did not. But no, he didn't like
- 10:33Speaker 3: taking the medicines that he was on for it, and
- 10:37Speaker 3: and that was another big reason to have the surgery
- 10:41Speaker 3: and get back to work. So no, he was not
- 10:44Speaker 3: at that time on the pain medication.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Okay, So him leaving or just disappearing was totally unexpected
- 10:53Speaker 1: to you.
- 10:57Speaker 3: I mean the aspect of when someone tells you that
- 11:01Speaker 3: they're feel fearful for their life, even though you know
- 11:05Speaker 3: that there's a lot of drama going on, even though
- 11:07Speaker 3: you know that life is not great and there's violence
- 11:10Speaker 3: and that things are happening, you don't. Ever people should,
- 11:15Speaker 3: and I hope that people learn from my mistake. People
- 11:18Speaker 3: should take it to heart and full on believe the
- 11:22Speaker 3: person instead of thinking that that doesn't really happen, because
- 11:29Speaker 3: it does, in fact happen, and that's how we're here.
- 11:32Speaker 2: It does.
- 11:33Speaker 1: And I wanted to stop right here and say I
- 11:35Speaker 1: did have the pleasure of talking with Will's wife, Christy
- 11:39Speaker 1: last week, and I believe you're aware, but she believes
- 11:45Speaker 1: one hundred percent that Will left on his own and
- 11:49Speaker 1: that he is in South America. Somewhere, And she did
- 11:52Speaker 1: let me know that he was dealing with some testing
- 11:55Speaker 1: issues with his ex wife and that she believes that
- 11:59Speaker 1: he left so that he wouldn't have to deal with it,
- 12:03Speaker 1: and that maybe he was trying to protect his kids.
- 12:06Speaker 2: But I'm gathering from our conversation.
- 12:09Speaker 1: That you don't believe that Will would just leave his
- 12:11Speaker 1: kids and walk away.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Never even I'll go out on a limb and say,
- 12:17Speaker 3: even if my brother was going to leave, he wouldn't
- 12:20Speaker 3: have left his kids wondering. He would have made up something.
- 12:23Speaker 3: He would have said, I'm going away for business. I'm
- 12:26Speaker 3: going on with a case. He would have said something
- 12:27Speaker 3: to the older two children. There was too much going
- 12:32Speaker 3: on in the world there for him. There's not a chance,
- 12:38Speaker 3: not I have zero out. He would never.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think I told you this. I think
- 12:46Speaker 1: I may have told Christy. I'm the person that I
- 12:49Speaker 1: always believe that when there's multiple theories out there, that
- 12:52Speaker 1: the truth lay somewhere in the middle. You know, even
- 12:56Speaker 1: if let's just go on on a wild limb and
- 12:58Speaker 1: say he was going to leave, maybe he was just
- 13:01Speaker 1: going to leave and go to that campground for the weekend,
- 13:04Speaker 1: didn't mean he was going to leave forever, right, But
- 13:06Speaker 1: that doesn't mean that something nefarious didn't happen after that.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I mean, we've heard of people who get mad and
- 13:12Speaker 1: drive off to the store.
- 13:13Speaker 2: And then something happens.
- 13:16Speaker 1: But what's sad Since he's still missing, we don't know
- 13:20Speaker 1: what happened. And because of that, that's why I still
- 13:23Speaker 1: felt that we should share this information. Because he's disappeared.
- 13:31Speaker 1: You know, he's not there and his kids, you, Christy,
- 13:35Speaker 1: everybody needs to know about this. So what actions were
- 13:40Speaker 1: taken when it was realized that Will was missing? And
- 13:43Speaker 1: how quickly was law enforcement notified?
- 13:46Speaker 3: Okay, so Christy called me. That was a Tuesday afternoon.
- 13:52Speaker 3: When I got off the phone with her, I did
- 13:53Speaker 3: exactly what my brother had instructed me to do previous
- 13:56Speaker 3: in conversations, which was contact his father. We don't have
- 14:01Speaker 3: a common father, we have a common birth mother. So
- 14:05Speaker 3: it did take me a few minutes. I knew his
- 14:07Speaker 3: dad's name and aria stuff like that, but it just
- 14:09Speaker 3: wasn't It's not like I had his contacted though, right,
- 14:12Speaker 3: But he had told me that should anything ever happen,
- 14:15Speaker 3: to contact his dad because he told us both everything
- 14:18Speaker 3: and if by some chance he missed telling me something.
- 14:21Speaker 3: His dad would know what was up, you know, and
- 14:24Speaker 3: vice versa. So it took me a little bit to
- 14:26Speaker 3: track down his father and I did. I did do that.
- 14:31Speaker 3: His father's first reaction was the same as mine. Oh
- 14:34Speaker 3: my gosh. He warned us, did this happen? And I
- 14:39Speaker 3: told him I think it's I think it's possible. He
- 14:42Speaker 3: asked me if I had called the police. I was honest.
- 14:45Speaker 3: I said no, I had not called the police. On
- 14:49Speaker 3: the off chance I was overreacting due to the previous
- 14:53Speaker 3: the courts he had with his old for his older children,
- 14:56Speaker 3: the other custody issues. I didn't want to cause waves
- 14:59Speaker 3: if I was wrong. I did, however, text my brother's phone,
- 15:04Speaker 3: which I knew. She said that she had the phone,
- 15:06Speaker 3: but he had an Apple Watch in other ways of
- 15:09Speaker 3: communicating if he wanted to. So I did send him
- 15:12Speaker 3: a message and told him, hey, you told me what
- 15:14Speaker 3: to do, I'm gonna do it if I don't hear
- 15:16Speaker 3: from you. Unbeknownst to me, after we got off the phone,
- 15:22Speaker 3: his father did call for a welfare check the police.
- 15:26Speaker 3: The police went out that evening. From whatever information they
- 15:31Speaker 3: were given at the home, they apparently assumed that he
- 15:35Speaker 3: went fishing. We as family, I mean, that's what they
- 15:38Speaker 3: told his dad, But we as family, we weren't told
- 15:40Speaker 3: anything different. Christy never reached back out to say anything.
- 15:46Speaker 3: She didn't even tell us that he was fishing or
- 15:47Speaker 3: any of that stuff. As a matter of fact, the
- 15:49Speaker 3: next morning is when I called the police, okay, and
- 15:55Speaker 3: I asked for a welfare check. Unbeknownst to me, his
- 15:58Speaker 3: dad had done the one previous. So when they did
- 16:02Speaker 3: that welfare check, they come back and they asked me
- 16:08Speaker 3: what my concerns were, and I told him the truth.
- 16:11Speaker 3: My concerns are. My brother warned me that this may happen.
- 16:14Speaker 3: He was fearful of the situation. Now I'm being told
- 16:17Speaker 3: he's gone. The officer I spoke to said that he
- 16:20Speaker 3: had responded to some of the domestic violence calls at
- 16:23Speaker 3: the home and that based off my information and his interactions,
- 16:27Speaker 3: he felt a missing person's report was warranted. So one
- 16:32Speaker 3: was filed on Wednesday the nineteenth by me.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Okay.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Now, we won't get into all the domestic violent stuff.
- 16:41Speaker 1: But when Will told you that he worried something, what
- 16:45Speaker 1: happened to him? Did he give you details or was
- 16:48Speaker 1: he just in general? Because they weren't getting along. They
- 16:52Speaker 1: were having some turbulent times.
- 16:54Speaker 3: I mean, he called me. I mean he told me
- 16:56Speaker 3: a lot of details about like arguments and fights and
- 16:59Speaker 3: stuff like that. The conversation actually come up because he
- 17:06Speaker 3: he was realizing that there was no saving this marriage,
- 17:10Speaker 3: that she didn't want to change, like she didn't want
- 17:12Speaker 3: to change, she didn't want you know, things weren't going
- 17:14Speaker 3: to be better until it was overdone whenever. But he
- 17:19Speaker 3: had noticed over time that during fighting she would say
- 17:23Speaker 3: that she would do these mean, vulgar, violent things, and
- 17:27Speaker 3: then over time she did do them. It's not really
- 17:30Speaker 3: uncommon for people to like say things when you're arguing,
- 17:34Speaker 3: stuff like that. I know that you can say things
- 17:36Speaker 3: when you're mad whatever, but she seemed to almost always
- 17:40Speaker 3: follow through eventually. And this particular call came because he
- 17:46Speaker 3: had told me that she had started recently saying that
- 17:49Speaker 3: she was going to make it so he never saw
- 17:51Speaker 3: any of his children again. He said that his reply
- 17:55Speaker 3: to her was, you know, sarcastic, Well, a judge's never
- 17:58Speaker 3: going to let you do that. Nice try only one
- 18:00Speaker 3: belongs to you type thing, And all he got was
- 18:04Speaker 3: a smirk. He said about the third time, fourth time,
- 18:08Speaker 3: somewhere around there that she said it to him, that
- 18:10Speaker 3: he kind of started to get the inkling that and
- 18:13Speaker 3: some other activities were giving him the inkling that she
- 18:17Speaker 3: was definitely up to something and he wouldn't be surprised
- 18:20Speaker 3: if he disappeared soon.
- 18:24Speaker 1: That's kind of terrifying, that thought. I mean, that is
- 18:27Speaker 1: what has been the most challenging part for you of
- 18:31Speaker 1: trying to keep the word out there and getting things
- 18:36Speaker 1: to happen and move forward, and also trying to keep
- 18:38Speaker 1: hope alive.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Well, the distance is a big thing. I believe they
- 18:44Speaker 3: counted on the distance. That's definitely a big issue, the
- 18:49Speaker 3: fact that actions and words don't match, so therefore nothing's
- 18:58Speaker 3: really being investigated.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I mean, it's just they did one search. If I
- 19:04Speaker 1: remember correctly, I think either you or Christy told me
- 19:07Speaker 1: they did do one search of their property and made
- 19:10Speaker 1: sure he wasn't somewhere there on the property.
- 19:12Speaker 3: They did do a search there at the property. I'm
- 19:15Speaker 3: told that they did not bring cadaver dogs out, so
- 19:18Speaker 3: I kind of wish they would have. But at the
- 19:20Speaker 3: same time, I told him from the start, I mean,
- 19:23Speaker 3: I'll be honest, I told her from the start, I
- 19:24Speaker 3: think she's too smart to keep him there. I'm not
- 19:28Speaker 3: saying he wouldn't be there now, but I'm saying I
- 19:30Speaker 3: think she's smart enough to know that they're going to
- 19:32Speaker 3: look there in the beginning at least.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Now, has the police investigation revealed any potential persons of
- 19:41Speaker 1: interest or has it just remained very broad because there's
- 19:47Speaker 1: no evidence about play something happened to him, and there's
- 19:51Speaker 1: only no evidence that he did walk away, so it's
- 19:53Speaker 1: kind of a blank limbo state.
- 19:57Speaker 3: The only thing they've ever told me is that his
- 20:02Speaker 3: wife has more answers than she gives and that they
- 20:06Speaker 3: need more evidence or proof or information, whatever the case
- 20:10Speaker 3: may be, to be able to proceed forward.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Okay, now, how is social media helped keeping his own
- 20:22Speaker 1: case out there?
- 20:24Speaker 3: It is the only way I've been able to get
- 20:25Speaker 3: the word out I was told by his wife it
- 20:28Speaker 3: was in the news and the media and all that stuff.
- 20:31Speaker 3: I knew better, Like I follow, I have people down
- 20:33Speaker 3: there like trying to do their best to help, but
- 20:37Speaker 3: I mean, it is the only way to get the
- 20:39Speaker 3: word out there. And since I've started doing the actual
- 20:42Speaker 3: interviews instead of just posting, it has definitely added to
- 20:46Speaker 3: the following. It's gotten his face out there more, it's
- 20:48Speaker 3: gotten the words spread around, so at least, at the
- 20:51Speaker 3: very least people know.
- 20:54Speaker 2: That he's missing.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I mean sad to say Brazoria County is right next
- 20:59Speaker 1: to Hers County. A lot of these cases never make
- 21:02Speaker 1: it on the news, right, I mean, it's just sad.
- 21:07Speaker 3: It's my brother's case is sad in a lot of ways.
- 21:11Speaker 3: People think only women can be abused. People think that,
- 21:16Speaker 3: you know, men just walk away, Like there's so many
- 21:19Speaker 3: stereotypes in this situation that should just be done away with.
- 21:26Speaker 1: And just I mean that can happen to anyone, Yes,
- 21:30Speaker 1: it can. How has his disappearance affected you emotionally?
- 21:37Speaker 2: Mentally?
- 21:40Speaker 3: My life paused when he disappeared. I mean, obviously life
- 21:45Speaker 3: keeps moving. You don't have a choice. But I'm not
- 21:51Speaker 3: present like I was. I mean, the housewife is stale
- 21:54Speaker 3: home grandma, I raised my grand kids for my children.
- 21:58Speaker 3: I'm not present like I'm I'm there, but like he's
- 22:02Speaker 3: always in the background in my head, like where is he?
- 22:04Speaker 3: How do I find it?
- 22:06Speaker 4: How do his kids get some answers like there's not
- 22:11Speaker 4: you know, like big things, bad things happen, but like
- 22:15Speaker 4: he's who I would have called there's no one to call.
- 22:21Speaker 3: He's missed my son's wedding. He wouldn't have done that. Like,
- 22:25Speaker 3: I mean, there's just so many things that he's not
- 22:28Speaker 3: there for now that he would have been there for.
- 22:32Speaker 3: And when you have someone that that you love, that
- 22:36Speaker 3: you're close to, that has always been your confidant, your
- 22:40Speaker 3: entire life, like and then they're just poof gone, and
- 22:45Speaker 3: then you're told that they just did this, They just
- 22:47Speaker 3: did this themselves, and no harm, no foul, just suck
- 22:52Speaker 3: it up and move on. That's not how that goes.
- 22:55Speaker 3: That's not that's not how it works. I promise my
- 23:00Speaker 3: brother I wouldn't let his kids walk away, let his
- 23:02Speaker 3: kids think he walked away. And that is my that's
- 23:05Speaker 3: my goal. I don't know what else to do. There
- 23:09Speaker 3: is nothing else to do besides keep going until he's found.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Now, if Will could hear you or see this, you know,
- 23:18Speaker 1: if he is in South America, Argentina, what would you
- 23:22Speaker 1: want to say to him?
- 23:25Speaker 3: I'll be honest, it's hard for me to do the
- 23:28Speaker 3: hypothetical thing.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Do you believe he's no longer with us?
- 23:32Speaker 3: I don't believe that he would have told me his fears.
- 23:38Speaker 3: I don't believe I would have heard the torment in
- 23:41Speaker 3: his voice in the last few phone calls. I don't
- 23:44Speaker 3: believe that everything that was going on was made up stories.
- 23:49Speaker 3: There's police reports to back a lot of it up.
- 23:53Speaker 3: I don't believe that he's out there somewhere living in Argentina.
- 23:58Speaker 3: He has a pen pal, he's had some navy there.
- 24:01Speaker 3: He's not living in Argentina somewhere living his best wife,
- 24:05Speaker 3: without life, without his children. It's just it's not But
- 24:10Speaker 3: I will say if he can hear me from wherever
- 24:13Speaker 3: he is, to just know that I'll always keep pushing
- 24:17Speaker 3: to keep that promise. Now, today, tomorrow, fifty years, I
- 24:24Speaker 3: mun still be out here telling his story until somebody
- 24:29Speaker 3: gives us the closure we deserve.
- 24:31Speaker 1: So since say, what do you want to say to
- 24:34Speaker 1: encourage the people who know? Because when somebody goes missing,
- 24:40Speaker 1: I say, and I know people get tired of it.
- 24:42Speaker 2: A spaceship does not come and soon people up.
- 24:46Speaker 1: It doesn't freaking happen that way. And we are humans.
- 24:50Speaker 1: We cannot keep our mouth shuts, women, men, children.
- 24:55Speaker 3: And I believes the stake of a crime is when
- 24:58Speaker 3: you let somebody else in on it. And there's no
- 25:00Speaker 3: such thing as a perfect crime.
- 25:02Speaker 1: But what would you say to those people who know something.
- 25:09Speaker 2: And who aren't coming forward.
- 25:12Speaker 3: To think about it? If it was you, you, your kids,
- 25:15Speaker 3: your family, Like, how would they feel. You don't have
- 25:19Speaker 3: to tell on who helped you, don't have to tell
- 25:22Speaker 3: on yourself. Just give us him, tell us where he's at,
- 25:25Speaker 3: an anonymous call, a tip, give us closure. He's got
- 25:29Speaker 3: children that deserve answers. His father's in Vietnam, vet. He
- 25:33Speaker 3: does not deserve to go the rest of his life
- 25:35Speaker 3: wondering if you'll know what happened. He has a mother,
- 25:40Speaker 3: he has other siblings, he has nieces and nephews, and
- 25:45Speaker 3: he has family who loved him, who always loved him,
- 25:49Speaker 3: And we all deserve some sort of closure. Even if
- 25:53Speaker 3: you think he deserved this, we did not.
- 25:57Speaker 1: And that's the thing that I think we need to
- 25:59Speaker 1: get yet, people to understand it's not just the person
- 26:02Speaker 1: who goes missing or if they were killed, It is
- 26:06Speaker 1: the family not knowing those children growing up and potentially
- 26:11Speaker 1: thinking my dad didn't love me enough to stay, my
- 26:14Speaker 1: dad didn't love me enough to fight for me. That
- 26:18Speaker 1: is not okay for anyone to do to a child.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Well, in this situation, I will say we are lucky.
- 26:25Speaker 3: The older two are funny, old enough they know they
- 26:30Speaker 3: know their dad wouldn't do this.
- 26:33Speaker 2: But I believe he pretty young.
- 26:36Speaker 3: I believe he deserves to know that his dad did
- 26:38Speaker 3: love him with everything in him and that he would
- 26:41Speaker 3: never just walk away.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Yeah. Now I did ask Christy that, so I was
- 26:47Speaker 1: talking to her. We talked about it, and she said
- 26:50Speaker 1: that she would like to say if he was listening.
- 26:54Speaker 1: She wanted to let him know that he has loved
- 26:56Speaker 1: and everything is still waiting for him. And she alsa
- 26:59Speaker 1: said that if he doesn't want to come home, she
- 27:03Speaker 1: asks that he please mail a postcard to her with
- 27:06Speaker 1: a phrase or something on it that only the two
- 27:09Speaker 1: of them would know, and that if he does want
- 27:13Speaker 1: to come home, she is there waiting, you know, with
- 27:17Speaker 1: him for open arms. And what I want to say
- 27:20Speaker 1: on that, you know, not knowing what happened to him.
- 27:24Speaker 1: If anybody is thinking of just walking away from your life,
- 27:29Speaker 1: don't do it. Listen to these stories, Listen to what
- 27:33Speaker 1: you would be doing to these people. It is something
- 27:37Speaker 1: that they will have to every day for the rest
- 27:40Speaker 1: of their lives. Wonder are you being fed? Is somebody
- 27:43Speaker 1: doing something to you that is cruelty, and if you
- 27:47Speaker 1: love somebody, don't do that. Don't do that. And to
- 27:52Speaker 1: the people who know what happened to him, you need
- 27:56Speaker 1: to do the right thing. Because well has three children
- 28:01Speaker 1: who miss their father, and we're seeing these pictures of
- 28:04Speaker 1: these adorable kids. I mean, they miss their father and
- 28:10Speaker 1: they love their dad, and for their sake, I hope
- 28:14Speaker 1: that if you know where he is, that you will
- 28:16Speaker 1: say something. There are ways to do it anonymously. You
- 28:20Speaker 1: don't want to tell on yourself, I get it, you
- 28:22Speaker 1: don't want to tell on a friend.
- 28:23Speaker 2: I get it.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Think if those were your children, or think if it
- 28:28Speaker 1: was you. Think of you being a child and one
- 28:32Speaker 1: day your mom or dad just goes away and you
- 28:35Speaker 1: don't know where they are. So I really want people
- 28:39Speaker 1: to think about that, because that is the thing about
- 28:42Speaker 1: this case that I find so frustrating. There's no evidence
- 28:47Speaker 1: that he walked away, no evidence that there was foul
- 28:50Speaker 1: play in Brazoria County. If you, for some reason happen
- 28:54Speaker 1: to find this, please work harder. I mean, just work harder,
- 29:00Speaker 1: you know. And if he did decide to walk away,
- 29:04Speaker 1: I'm sure you'll come on Beverly and say I was wrong, right, Oh,
- 29:09Speaker 1: you would love to be wrong, wouldn't you.
- 29:11Speaker 3: I've said from the start if if I'm wrong, I'll
- 29:15Speaker 3: scream just as loud that I was wrong as I
- 29:17Speaker 3: screamed that that this happened. But at the end of
- 29:22Speaker 3: the day, I don't believe he warned. I mean, and
- 29:25Speaker 3: it wasn't just myself that he warned. I mean, there's
- 29:29Speaker 3: a few of who close, So I don't believe that
- 29:33Speaker 3: he would warn people. I don't believe you warn people. Hey,
- 29:37Speaker 3: I'm really fearful. Hey, I know what I got to
- 29:40Speaker 3: get out of here, but hey, I got to do
- 29:41Speaker 3: this first. And then they just vanished. And that person
- 29:46Speaker 3: knows nothing and just says, oh, well, they just went
- 29:49Speaker 3: off to live it happy.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Do you think in this as the thought, do you
- 29:55Speaker 1: think he would go somewhere and hurt himself and do
- 29:57Speaker 1: it somewhere where he couldn't be found, so that his
- 30:01Speaker 1: wife or children didn't have to find him.
- 30:03Speaker 3: Never. I can tell you that too. I am raising
- 30:09Speaker 3: our sister's daughter, my niece. Her father killed himself when
- 30:12Speaker 3: she was four years old. We've all seen the fallout
- 30:19Speaker 3: from that. All all he ever talked about was how
- 30:24Speaker 3: her dad was a coward, pos for doing that to her,
- 30:27Speaker 3: and that there were so many other ways, and you
- 30:32Speaker 3: will never convince me my brother hurt himself if he
- 30:38Speaker 3: even felt that way, not only would he have called me,
- 30:40Speaker 3: because he's called me in a many of situations not suicidal,
- 30:44Speaker 3: but if he didn't call me, he was very resourceful
- 30:48Speaker 3: about the VA services, yes, and stuff like that. So
- 30:53Speaker 3: it's not like he did not know how to get
- 30:56Speaker 3: help or wouldn't get help. The man was trying to
- 31:00Speaker 3: get help, just not that kind of help. That's not
- 31:02Speaker 3: that he was just being turned away and told your
- 31:07Speaker 3: man basically right.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, his case remains open, and law enforcement does
- 31:15Speaker 1: want you to come forward with any information you have,
- 31:18Speaker 1: no matter how insignificant. Even a small tip could help
- 31:23Speaker 1: bring closure, you know, to this family. So, like I said,
- 31:27Speaker 1: I want you to think about his children most of all.
- 31:30Speaker 1: If you don't want to think about the adults, okay,
- 31:33Speaker 1: think about his freaking children and do the right thing
- 31:38Speaker 1: in their pain and contact the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office
- 31:43Speaker 1: at nine seventy nine eight four nine two four four one,
- 31:48Speaker 1: or you can always anonymously go to FBI dot gov
- 31:52Speaker 1: backslash tips and submitted anonymous guys, it's truly anonymous. You
- 31:58Speaker 1: can go and do that, so I want to encourage
- 32:02Speaker 1: people to do that. I also want to ask everyone
- 32:05Speaker 1: who's watching now or who watches later, please go to
- 32:09Speaker 1: our social media page and share Will's flyer. Also go
- 32:13Speaker 1: follow their Facebook page. It's find Will William Russell Gray.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Right, it's find Will Gray.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Oh, find Will Gray. Go and follow that. Help share it.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Let's get the word out because guys, that's going to
- 32:28Speaker 1: be the way that they get their answers. So, Beverly,
- 32:32Speaker 1: I want to thank you again for sharing Will's story
- 32:35Speaker 1: with us, and I want you to know that everyone
- 32:38Speaker 1: here at the TCWT media team, we will do our
- 32:40Speaker 1: best to.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Get the word out.
- 32:42Speaker 1: We will share it, we will keep an eye on
- 32:44Speaker 1: it and hope and pray that some.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Answers come down for his kids. Thank you, yeah, and.
- 32:53Speaker 1: To everyone else, I want to say thank you for
- 32:55Speaker 1: joining me today. I hope to see you again on
- 32:58Speaker 1: Monday for another episode of Midday Missing. Also want to

- 33:16Speaker 1: see missing person flyers pop up in your feed, even
- 33:20Speaker 1: once not from us, please share them. I do tell
- 33:23Speaker 1: you go and give it a Google real quick. That
- 33:26Speaker 1: means Google to see if they really are missing, because
- 33:28Speaker 1: there are a lot of scams out there, so just
- 33:32Speaker 1: please remember to do that. And I want you all
- 33:35Speaker 1: to remember you can catch all of our shows here
- 33:38Speaker 1: on our YouTube channel. Some of them are on Facebook,
- 33:41Speaker 1: but not all of them. Our podcast True Crime and
- 33:44Speaker 1: Wine Time is available on all of your favorite podcast platforms,
- 33:49Speaker 1: and we just started last week releasing midday missing episodes
- 33:54Speaker 1: on the podcast apps Swell. We're doing that so we
- 33:57Speaker 1: can get the word out to more people about these
- 34:01Speaker 1: individuals missing.
- 34:03Speaker 2: So just let you know.
- 34:04Speaker 1: There was a twelve year old boy here in the
- 34:07Speaker 1: Dallas area. There was an amber alert. They found him.
- 34:11Speaker 1: He had been taken by his non custodial mom. It
- 34:14Speaker 1: was from a tip. Okay, guys, keeping your eyes open.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Look at the faces. Don't just share them, truly look
- 34:23Speaker 1: at the person's face and look at where they're from.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Share this and try to keep your eyes open for them.
- 34:30Speaker 1: So as always, guys, until next time, please stay safe,
- 34:36Speaker 1: watch out for crime, and enjoy your wine time, Bye guys.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Send the bad spelling p.
