- 0:00Speaker 1: Kyle and Peyton breaking down everything trending in entertainment. What
- 0:02Speaker 1: do you guys got?
- 0:03Speaker 2: It's pretty exciting, and you've probably seen them doing a
- 0:05Speaker 2: lot of promotion for it because this Thursday, Sandra Bullock
- 0:08Speaker 2: and Nicole Kidman are finally back together in Practical Magic 2.
- 0:11Speaker 2: This time, the curse of everyone they fall in love
- 0:14Speaker 2: with dies is now coming for the next generation. So
- 0:17Speaker 2: Sally's daughters, played by Joey King and Maisie Williams, they
- 0:20Speaker 2: get pulled into the family's.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Whole witchy mess.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Sally and Julie, they have to team up with the
- 0:24Speaker 2: aunts to try to break this curse once and for all.
- 0:27Speaker 3: It's got.
- 0:28Speaker 2: sisterhood, romance, family secrets, and yes, the midnight margaritas are
- 0:31Speaker 2: back as well. So if you've been waiting almost 30
- 0:34Speaker 2: years for this, I know there are many that who
- 0:36Speaker 2: have been waiting. Gather your friends and family, your coven,
- 0:39Speaker 2: whatever you got, because Practical Magic 2 is only in
- 0:42Speaker 2: theaters this 30. It is rated PG-13, so maybe inappropriate
- 0:45Speaker 2: for kids under 13. The Emmys are next Monday, and
- 0:49Speaker 2: The Pit... is basically the show to beat. They've got
- 0:52Speaker 2: a ridiculous 25 nominations. Hacks is right behind them with 24.
- 0:58Speaker 3: But I thought this was very interesting.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Taylor Swift already had her first chance at an Emmy
- 1:01Speaker 2: this weekend. They had, you know, the heiress tour was
- 1:04Speaker 2: up for a whole bunch of them. And they had
- 1:06Speaker 2: this huge ceremony. And she just decided to opt out
- 1:08Speaker 2: and go to dinner with Travis.
- 1:10Speaker 3: They're in their.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Newlywed honeymoon era. And I think that that's so amazing.
- 1:15Speaker 2: I think Bad Bunny ended up winning one of them
- 1:17Speaker 2: that she was nominated for.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Oh, for the Halftime Show.
- 1:19Speaker 1: For the Halftime Show, yeah.
- 1:20Speaker 3: So the Creative Arts Emmys were over the weekend. And
- 1:23Speaker 3: there was some really big wins. Like Sabrina Carpenter, she
- 1:25Speaker 3: got her first Emmy as an executive producer of The
- 1:27Speaker 3: Muppet Show. Julie Andrews, she made history by beating herself
- 1:31Speaker 3: as the oldest women to women Emmys, voicing Lady Whistledown.
- 1:34Speaker 3: And then, yeah, Alan Cummings took one for The Traitors,
- 1:37Speaker 3: Mariska Hargitay for her documentary, My Mom Jane. So lots
- 1:41Speaker 3: of good wins over the weekend. But I know the
- 1:43Speaker 3: pit and all those big ones are coming up pretty soon.
- 1:46Speaker 1: That'll be Monday.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Next Monday is when the Emmys are.
- 1:48Speaker 1: The JFK show won a bunch, too. And I was
- 1:51Speaker 1: obsessed with that show on Hulu. Love story.
- 1:53Speaker 2: That was such a good show. That was a really
- 1:54Speaker 2: good show. So, yes, congratulations to the winners. Andrew Garfield,
- 1:58Speaker 2: he is in a little bit of, I guess, under
- 2:00Speaker 2: some fire, you could say. So he sparked some online criticism.
- 2:04Speaker 2: He was promoting his new movie. And in the movie,
- 2:06Speaker 2: that's like these peasants revolt against the rich people.
- 2:09Speaker 3: And while he was.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Promoting it, they asked him, hey, in the uprising, when
- 2:14Speaker 2: people watch it, what do you want them to like
- 2:17Speaker 2: come away with? Or what do you want them to
- 2:19Speaker 2: feel after they see it?
- 2:20Speaker 3: I hope they come and see it, first thing.
- 2:23Speaker 1: But secondly, I hope it's galvanizing.
- 2:25Speaker 3: I hope there's some awakening that people feel. That we
- 2:27Speaker 3: all feel like our own struggles are being reflected in
- 2:30Speaker 3: the struggles of these characters from a distant time and place.
- 2:32Speaker 1: And I hope that if any billionaires watch it.
- 2:35Speaker 3: They're scared.
- 2:36Speaker 2: A lot of people were laughing, and then people online
- 2:39Speaker 2: were like, you're like a multimillionaire too, which is a
- 2:43Speaker 2: lot of money. You're one of the rich people, and
- 2:45Speaker 2: you're talking about the rich people being scared about the
- 2:48Speaker 2: peasants and the lower class coming and revolting. Is that
- 2:51Speaker 2: a little ironic maybe? I'm not really sure, but that's
- 2:54Speaker 2: now the argument online. There's now this modern-day celebrity wealth
- 2:59Speaker 2: argument over it. It wasn't really... bothering Beyonce and Jay-Z,
- 3:04Speaker 2: who are billionaires. Beyonce, she celebrated her 45th birthday over
- 3:07Speaker 2: the weekend. Jay-Z was in concert, stopped down, had the
- 3:09Speaker 2: whole crowd sing happy birthday and shouted her out. She
- 3:17Speaker 2: re-released her B-Day album and then a whole bunch of
- 3:20Speaker 2: like Bay merch. One in particular is I'm baffled by.
- 3:24Speaker 2: It was like the B-Box or something like that. And
- 3:27Speaker 2: it's literally a crate that has velvet inside.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Of it, but it's empty. It's almost $ 1, 000.
- 3:33Speaker 2: It's like $ 984.
- 3:36Speaker 3: For this B.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Great.
- 3:38Speaker 3: It's supposed to hold your vinyl.
- 3:41Speaker 2: And I get it, Rich.
- 3:42Speaker 3: You collect vinyl.
- 3:43Speaker 2: And so maybe you do need a very fancy vinyl.
- 3:46Speaker 2: place to hold said vinyl you.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Can find crates for free for almost.
- 3:50Speaker 2: A thousand dollars I would like Beyonce to come put
- 3:52Speaker 2: the vinyl into.
- 3:53Speaker 1: The crate like her vinyl doesn't come with it her
- 3:55Speaker 1: albums aren't.
- 3:56Speaker 3: In it it's like a box that's like inspired it's
- 3:58Speaker 3: empty yeah by like the beekeepers you know how they
- 4:01Speaker 3: put those bees in the thing.
- 4:02Speaker 1: It looks just like that but you think it'd be
- 4:03Speaker 1: a collector's edition and they would have her albums in
- 4:06Speaker 1: it like a color like that like a color vinyl
- 4:08Speaker 1: in there whatever her albums are for a thousand bucks
- 4:10Speaker 1: nope it's empty.
- 4:11Speaker 3: That's silly who knows we'll see Okay, over the weekend,
- 4:14Speaker 3: Alex Earle's, her reality show called Earle Meets World, it
- 4:18Speaker 3: premiered over the long weekend. And she kind of got
- 4:22Speaker 3: into the beef with Alex Cooper. I stayed quiet for
- 4:26Speaker 3: so long because I am scared of Alex Cooper. Yeah,
- 4:30Speaker 3: she basically goes on to say how she is scared
- 4:32Speaker 3: of Alex Cooper, how she felt Alex Cooper absolutely took
- 4:35Speaker 3: advantage of her, that she idolized her, that she looked
- 4:38Speaker 3: up to her, and she got into a really bad
- 4:40Speaker 3: business decision. And so at first I was like, this
- 4:43Speaker 3: is definitely like a PR stunt, but I watched Earl
- 4:46Speaker 3: Meets World and I'm like... That beef might be for real. Like, seriously.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Was it a good documentary? I couldn't get into it.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Oh, it's a reality TV show. They're basically trying to
- 4:53Speaker 3: make the Earls the Kardashians is exactly what's happening. I
- 4:56Speaker 3: couldn't do it. You see Alex Earle get very, I
- 5:00Speaker 3: like her. I'm a fan of her. So I really,
- 5:01Speaker 3: I really did enjoy it. I do feel like you
- 5:04Speaker 3: did see the parts of Alex Earle that are similar
- 5:07Speaker 3: to Kim Kardashian being very like. very intentional with her moves. Like,
- 5:12Speaker 3: she makes sure when she posts that she's thought it
- 5:14Speaker 3: through and she's thinking three steps ahead. Well, I mean,
- 5:16Speaker 3: it's working for her. And it's working, right.
- 5:18Speaker 1: So, I'm finding it interesting.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, it's definitely working for her.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Maybe I'll give it another try. Did you watch The
- 5:23Speaker 1: Decoy Plane on Netflix?
- 5:24Speaker 3: No.
- 5:25Speaker 1: It's a 30-minute documentary of how they smuggled Trump out
- 5:28Speaker 1: of Air Force One. There's a documentary on that already?
- 5:30Speaker 1: It's fascinating.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Really?
- 5:31Speaker 1: It's 28 minutes long. I highly recommend it. It is fascinating.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Oh, Good to know.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Number three on Netflix right now.
- 5:37Speaker 3: This was just announced this morning. Ariana Grande. She is
- 5:40Speaker 3: giving us the live pedal album from her concert. We
- 5:44Speaker 3: get to hear it. It's going to be beautiful. I'm
- 5:46Speaker 3: so excited to tune into it later today.
- 5:47Speaker 1: But it's kind of cool.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Like if you didn't get to go, you still get
- 5:50Speaker 2: that live experience.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Exactly. You know, you can use your imagination. Feel like
- 5:53Speaker 3: you're right there in the crowd.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Yeah, everyone's like, oh, my gosh, did you see she
- 5:57Speaker 2: broke her hiatus? She said she was going and living privately.
- 6:00Speaker 2: But it's like because they released a new trailer for
- 6:02Speaker 2: the new Meet the Fockers movie.
- 6:03Speaker 1: She's in it.
- 6:04Speaker 2: I'm like, that's not really her breaking her hiatus, but okay.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Snoop Dogg, he has got probably the greatest job opening ever.
- 6:13Speaker 2: He wants to pay you for eating ice cream.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I'm hiring an international ice cream taster here at Dr.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Barman Bay.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Ten grand a month. You can apply anywhere in the world.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Must have a passport.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Detail orientated. Detail orientated. Oriented. I would love that. Yes.
