- 0:07Speaker 1: his podcast. Now back to the Mark Dumont Show on
- 0:11Speaker 1: woor Hey, what's going on here? A couple of open lines? Yeah,
- 0:17Speaker 1: there's a few open lines. Call me eight hundred three
- 0:20Speaker 1: two one zero seven ten. Is the number? Eight hundred
- 0:24Speaker 1: three two one zero seven ten. Let's go to Tom
- 0:27Speaker 1: and Queen's Tom. How you doing, Hey, Mark? Good morning Mark.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Ye listening to the Bill O'Reilly and he mentioned he
- 0:37Speaker 2: thinks that the guest companies are gouging the consumers. Could
- 0:41Speaker 2: you ask him about that?
- 0:43Speaker 1: Well, I just I just gave you actual numbers. Those
- 0:46Speaker 1: are the numbers, all right.
- 0:49Speaker 2: But he's got his own thoughts about it.
- 0:51Speaker 1: You can have your own thoughts, but I just gave
- 0:53Speaker 1: you the actual numbers. That's that's the best thing you
- 0:55Speaker 1: can do. Okay. But I mean, the one thing you
- 0:59Speaker 1: could argue is they raised the prices to match the
- 1:02Speaker 1: worldwide prices when they don't have to. But yeah, but
- 1:06Speaker 1: I don't know, you know, if you made them put
- 1:08Speaker 1: it back down to what it should be, they'll they'll
- 1:11Speaker 1: just drill less. They'll just pump less oil and create short, yeah,
- 1:14Speaker 1: and raise them that way. But the numbers. I gave
- 1:16Speaker 1: you the actual numbers on what they're making, and it's
- 1:19Speaker 1: it's about usual. But they did raise the price to
- 1:23Speaker 1: match the world wide prices. So let's go to Joe
- 1:26Speaker 1: and Elmwood Park. Joe, how you doing, Joe? You're there?
- 1:34Speaker 1: I hear you're breathing. Joe.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Hello.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Oh there we woke them up. Yes, go ahead, Joe, oh,
- 1:41Speaker 1: Mark I.
- 1:42Speaker 3: We'll talk about the World Cup. I don't really I'm
- 1:45Speaker 3: not a soccer fan, but it's it's twelve fifty for
- 1:47Speaker 3: a ticket and our dummy says one hundred and fifty.
- 1:51Speaker 3: But now she's doing her favorites.
- 1:52Speaker 4: One hundred and five.
- 1:53Speaker 1: You're talking about the World Cup.
- 1:56Speaker 3: The bus tickets, okay?
- 1:57Speaker 1: Oh with the bus tickets, yeah yeah.
- 1:59Speaker 3: And one thing real fast, Alc, you have to stop
- 2:03Speaker 3: calling her a bartender. I don't think she has a
- 2:05Speaker 3: mentality be a bartender. It's an insult every bartender.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Well, that's true. You know, I'm thinking about this, the
- 2:11Speaker 1: arguing about the bus prices to get there. But if you,
- 2:15Speaker 1: as I said, the ticket to this MetLife tickets that
- 2:18Speaker 1: are thirty three thousand dollars, if you're paying thirty three
- 2:21Speaker 1: thousand a seat. I don't think you're taking the bus probably,
- 2:26Speaker 1: but well you might because it's a traffic nightmare getting
- 2:30Speaker 1: in and out of there. This is going to just
- 2:32Speaker 1: disrupt all of us all over in New York. Let's
- 2:35Speaker 1: go to Max in Manhattan. Max, how you doing?
- 2:38Speaker 5: Mark? Mike call? You know I can trust you because
- 2:43Speaker 5: you take phone calls. I mean, I agree, you're just
- 2:45Speaker 5: but there are a lot of a lot of Tulsabadis
- 2:47Speaker 5: who are not taking phone calls, like Sit in the Morning,
- 2:50Speaker 5: Larry Cardlow.
- 2:51Speaker 4: I know.
- 2:51Speaker 1: No. Well wait a minute, now, most morning shows don't
- 2:54Speaker 1: take a lot of phone calls. It's different when you're
- 2:56Speaker 1: on in the morning.
- 2:58Speaker 5: They can They can put at least decided five minutes
- 3:01Speaker 5: for the whole show for a couple of questions.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Okay, but I'll be honest. I don't take a lot.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I take calls one minute an hour, two minutes an hour.
- 3:09Speaker 5: Now, but look at Mint you in the morning with
- 3:12Speaker 5: with Curtis, they could use some phone calls to straighten
- 3:14Speaker 5: the mind.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Well, I gotta be honest. Well, they do their own version,
- 3:19Speaker 1: which is they do the what do you call that? Talkback?
- 3:23Speaker 1: So that's basically phone calls. It's just you're tight for
- 3:25Speaker 1: time in the morning, so they I understand what you're saying,
- 3:28Speaker 1: but I've got to be honest. Your phone calls aren't
- 3:31Speaker 1: that exciting. Look at you, did you have you said
- 3:33Speaker 1: anything of interest yet? I think so okay, you keep
- 3:37Speaker 1: thinking that. Yeah, we don't take a lot of phone
- 3:40Speaker 1: calls because uh, and we will love you. But that's
- 3:44Speaker 1: why you get a great call. But most of the calls,
- 3:47Speaker 1: I think the president should do this. I don't think
- 3:49Speaker 1: you should do this. I think he should do this.
- 3:51Speaker 1: It's like just a lot of opinions. It's which we
- 3:54Speaker 1: try to stay away. Believe or not, we try to
- 3:55Speaker 1: stay away from opinions on the show. We just try
- 3:57Speaker 1: to give you information. Here's the facts, here's the scoop.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Here's what's going on. Phone calls. It's a nice little
- 4:04Speaker 1: touch because we do like to talk to you. But
- 4:06Speaker 1: h and as far as the morning shows, they don't
- 4:09Speaker 1: really do phone calls ever in the morning, you know,
- 4:11Speaker 1: on a talk radio morning show, because you got a
- 4:13Speaker 1: million things going on. You know, we just have a
- 4:15Speaker 1: newscast at the top of the hour and at the bottom.
- 4:18Speaker 1: That's about it. But they got traffic, they got weather,
- 4:20Speaker 1: they got sports, they got so much they got to
- 4:22Speaker 1: get into the hour. Let's go to uh, Let's go
- 4:25Speaker 1: to Maria in Terrytown. Maria, how you doing him?
- 4:29Speaker 4: Mark?
- 4:30Speaker 6: You know, I am so worried about this president and
- 4:34Speaker 6: the entourage of people he's going to China with.
- 4:39Speaker 5: Are we like not?
- 4:40Speaker 6: We're under estimating the danger here. We have all these
- 4:44Speaker 6: capitalists and the president of course, and media, and wouldn't
- 4:50Speaker 6: the Democrats just like to get Risen?
- 4:53Speaker 1: Well, yeah, but I know what you're saying. But you
- 4:55Speaker 1: gonna remember he has a great relationship with President She
- 4:58Speaker 1: of China. We do a lot have business together. China's
- 5:02Speaker 1: economy is not very strong right now. They're pretty dependent
- 5:04Speaker 1: on us for things. And presidents have always traveled that
- 5:08Speaker 1: China has been going on since Nixon and Set nineteen
- 5:12Speaker 1: seventy one or whatever it was, so and they know
- 5:14Speaker 1: they know how to protect the president over there. Let's
- 5:17Speaker 1: go to Greg and Long Island. Greg, how you doing?
- 5:20Speaker 7: Good morning? Mark. I just wanted to ask, with the
- 5:24Speaker 7: fuel prices the way they are, why doesn't Trump try
- 5:29Speaker 7: to pull the same kind rabbit out of the hat
- 5:32Speaker 7: that President Kennedy did years ago? With the steel industry,
- 5:37Speaker 7: where they were going to raise steel prices even more.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Than because as I said before, yeah, they don't have
- 5:43Speaker 1: to match the world price. They could keep the oil
- 5:45Speaker 1: prices here because we produce all our own oil. There's
- 5:47Speaker 1: nothing to do with the rest of the world. We
- 5:48Speaker 1: could keep it steady, and you could do it. Kennedy
- 5:51Speaker 1: called in all the heads of the steel companies and
- 5:53Speaker 1: pretty much threaten them. You could do that to the
- 5:56Speaker 1: oil companies, but then they'll just drill less, just stop drilling.
- 6:01Speaker 1: And right now we're producing more oil than ever before
- 6:04Speaker 1: we used Under Biden, we produced four million barrels a day.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Right now we're doing fourteen million barrels a day. So
- 6:11Speaker 1: if you do that to them, they'll just cut back
- 6:12Speaker 1: production and get the prices up that way. Let's go
- 6:16Speaker 1: to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Good morning, Mark, Good morning Marta. This is Uncle Vincent's
- 6:22Speaker 4: idea for bringing down your gas prices. A. Number one,
- 6:26Speaker 4: do not pay with your credit card because most pumps
- 6:30Speaker 4: there's like a tensience difference between if you pay with
- 6:32Speaker 4: your credit card and you pay with care if number two,
- 6:37Speaker 4: if you want to see the World Cup and everything
- 6:39Speaker 4: and it's not being carried on American TV. Go get
- 6:43Speaker 4: yourself a rocal TV and get yourself the Italian package
- 6:48Speaker 4: for ten dollars a month and you'll see all the
- 6:50Speaker 4: games you want. I did it the last time, all right,
- 6:52Speaker 4: number three?
- 6:53Speaker 1: It wait, I'm just thinking about this. See, I like
- 6:55Speaker 1: to pump my own gas. I hate an attendant. So
- 6:59Speaker 1: if I want to, I gas and I stick my
- 7:01Speaker 1: credit card and the pump. I pump my gas. Now
- 7:04Speaker 1: if I want to pay cash, I gotta go inside.
- 7:06Speaker 1: It takes.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I know it's it's a little bit more of
- 7:10Speaker 4: a hassle, but I never use a credit card when
- 7:13Speaker 4: I go by gas or Vincent.
- 7:15Speaker 1: You got with broccoli rubber band around.
- 7:19Speaker 4: It, exactly the Andy Boy broccoli the pink one mark.
- 7:24Speaker 4: Another reason why most people don't notice that white beef
- 7:27Speaker 4: prices are so high. Joe Biden put the kebash on.
- 7:31Speaker 4: They were aside from the slaughter When they would bring
- 7:34Speaker 4: the cattle to the slaughter house. Before the cattle was slaughtered,
- 7:39Speaker 4: they would leave the cattle, the farmer's cattle, on the
- 7:41Speaker 4: grounds for so many months to fatten it up before
- 7:46Speaker 4: it was slaughtered. Then Joe Biden put the Kebash because
- 7:50Speaker 4: of on the on these places, because of so called
- 7:56Speaker 4: cow flatulence. So we don't have as many of these
- 8:00Speaker 4: fat farms as we used to have. The fatten the catalog,
- 8:04Speaker 4: it was Joe Biden who.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Did that good point, Vincent, excellent call, thanks for calling.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Uh yeah, we'll talk about this a minute. We're gonna
- 8:11Speaker 1: have John Carney next to the editor Breitbart Business Digest,
- 8:16Speaker 1: the smartest guy on oil prices, on inflation. We'll get
- 8:20Speaker 1: the real story in a minute. That's coming up next
- 8:23Speaker 1: on seven to ten wor
