- 0:00SPEAKER_01: We gotta do quick math here.
- 0:01SPEAKER_01: So uh just because it's so you guys are aware of this, because next week Allie and I have a uh uh a conference we have to go to the latter half of the week.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: So Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, we're both gonna be in Cleveland with some, you know, some people from the curprit office, if you will.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: And uh you know, so we're not gonna do the birthday wheel next Friday, which means let's see.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: We'll be at$1,166.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: So there you are, my friends.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: Be ready for that, and hopefully we'll spin your birthday.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: Somebody's gotta get this.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: I know for a fact you guys are all sitting there going, oh my god, I have the birthday, just not the year, uh-huh.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: Or whatever.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: Somebody's gotta end up matching this thing.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: I know we made it a little bit tougher on you when we brought back the birthday wheel.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: We didn't make it as easy as the old days where it was like, you know, your day and your month.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: We said, no, we're gonna we're gonna put this in and and make the year in there.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: Well, somebody at some point's gonna get a hell of a payday.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: And and we know that there are so many of you listening, all two of you.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: We know that Well, I mean, maybe three, because I got one, but they're not registered.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: They're listed as a guest on the app when I read their message in a minute.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Okay, read it.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, it says, uh, good everyone.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: Good everyone.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: Uh, they said uh tonight is uh uh uh night four of the Troy Fair.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: Hey, first of all, before I read the rest of this message, at least tonight's your dry night.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: Thank God.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: Uh they're volunteering tonight for the Dolls of Destruction women's roller derby.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, awesome!
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: They said, God have mercy on me.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: Tell the girls I said hi.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: Wait, are they actually roller derbying tonight?
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: If so, what a cool little addition to the Troy Fair.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think they would be.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: I mean That's awesome.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: I didn't know that they were doing that at the actual.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: I didn't know either, but that's pretty cool.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: Oh, I I knew I was gonna see somebody get beat up at the Troy Friday.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: I'm kidding.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: Now, if you really want to make it exciting, put them in the demo derby on the rollerblades, too.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: Let them really go out there and just hip check the cars and all that.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know?
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: All right, moving on from that, I have to tell you.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: If at some point, I just want to let you know in advance, and then I have a question for you, but I want to let you know in advance.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: If at some point I come in and tell you a story, I arrived home to the puppies cooking me dinner.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: I don't want you to be surprised.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: Oh no.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: Yesterday, I didn't have to get up quite as early as normal yesterday.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: So Tiffany was up, and uh all of a sudden And did you make her coffee?
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: No, I was not out of bed yet.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: So she comes into the bedroom, all the puppies come barreling in after.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: Well, Frank likes to play ball.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: He will play ball until your arm falls off.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: And he's a good ball player.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: He's the kind of dog brings it back, drops it right for you until the point you're like, are we done yet?
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: You have to go enough.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: But Frank is also terrible at losing balls underneath the uh baseboard heating.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: So you hear I don't even know if I can c recreate the sound, but you hear this like scratching, and of course it's a baseboard and it's metal, so it sounds like it's it's this loud, you know.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: He's really yeah, he's like louder, you know.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: It's just so anyway.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: You get the point.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: So anyway, uh yesterday Petey was trying to help uh find Frank's ball.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: Oh frutters.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: We have a floor lamp in the uh bedroom, which you know, the the switch on and off is on the floor.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: I'll be damned if Petey didn't turn on the light himself, help find the ball, and then turn the light off.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: So if I come home but he brushed his teeth and tucked himself into bed.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: Honest to God, if I come in one day and say the laundry was folded by the pugs and they made me dinner, do you know what?
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Don't be surprised.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: I think it's always so funny because my best friend has always had really big dogs.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: See, Junior can never do this, but my my best friend's dogs have been able to open the back door and they literally let themselves outside.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: Hey, dad, I'll be right back.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: I have to use the raster.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: These guys know how to open the kids' doors because I've got those like flat handles, not the knobs.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: These guys, Petey and Frank specifically know how to open Gavin and Lydia's doors.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: Jump up?
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, oh yeah, they just jump up, click it down, and then they'll go in and lay with her.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: Oh, reading her a bedtime story.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Pretty much.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: I'm like, just don't pee in there, idiots.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: Brushing her hair.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: I'm not even kidding.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Speaking of dogs, guess what?
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: Junior is taking a sabbatical.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: He's staying with Grandma Gail for an entire month.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: Wait, whoa.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: This is not that.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Oh, this is gonna be kind of that.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: This is gonna be bad.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: It's not gonna Which part which part is gonna be bad?
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: What if he goes while he's with her?
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Do not even say that.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: But do you want to do you know what I said to my mom?
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: I said, if you've already prepared for this.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: I well, I said, if something happens or he gets sick, you have to contact me right away and let me know.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: Basically, I'm going to Cleveland today, dropping him off.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: I'm going to a festival, and then from there, I mean, I'll be home a little bit, but yes, like you said, we're going to a conference.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: And I looked at my schedule every single month or every single weekend in August, we're doing something.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: And my mom just had surgery.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: She's, you know, you kind of like, I can't really do much except for like hang around the house.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: Neither can junior.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: So, right.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: And so I said, Well, would you like some company for a month?
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: Would Grandma Gill would you like to take care of him?
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: I would love that.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: But I first of all, you know I'm gonna miss him.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: But I would more than you know once he passes.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: Anybody else want to lay wagers on this?
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: Do not say that.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: I'm not trying to be cruel to you.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: No, that's- Animals do this.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: You know that when they're not well with their with their primary people.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: He's not even close to passing.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: Does he have a smoker's cough?
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: He's not close to passing.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: The dog's up more at night than I don't know, somebody that works in overnight.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: Well, that's why that's why I said I'm gonna sleep so good in the month of August.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Because I will actually sleep through the night.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: Nobody will.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: So your phone rings at three o'clock in the morning and be like, No.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: The Roomba bumped into him, and unfortunately, he didn't move.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: I have created so many scenarios.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: Oh my god! Surviving poor junior death.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: I really do like your dog.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: This is not like trying to be cruel.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: Sounds like it.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: I find great humor in the different scenarios of how he's found.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: I need to be with him.
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: Because if I end up beating right on one, I'm gonna feel so bad.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: I need to be with him when he goes.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: I've decided.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: He didn't move.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: I've decided I have to be with him when he goes.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: I cannot sending him away for a month was not the right move.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: It it's the longest I've ever sent him away.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, well, no, it'll be longer once he's gone.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: Stop it.
