- 0:20Speaker 1: Well, hey guys, welcome, welcome to another episode of On
- 0:25Speaker 1: the Liner. I had to say it like that because
- 0:32Speaker 1: you guys got me watching footy just in time to
- 0:35Speaker 1: watch our team lose, so.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Got to experience the devastation.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Oh, it's the most depressing experience of my life. And
- 0:46Speaker 3: to be surrounded surrounded by Brits. Yeah, and you could
- 0:53Speaker 3: feel the depression. The mood in the pub changed so much,
- 0:58Speaker 3: the tears just coma. I got video of one guy
- 1:04Speaker 3: jumping up on the table screaming like just chanting like
- 1:08Speaker 3: egg glood will prevail. We got this What the hell's happening?
- 1:13Speaker 1: I mean, it's not nice obviously, and for our listeners
- 1:16Speaker 1: because we had a few recordings in the can obviously
- 1:19Speaker 1: it's Euros weren't like yesterday for you guys.
- 1:21Speaker 4: But yeah, you're like, what are they talking about you?
- 1:23Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:24Speaker 3: Sorry, So Euros twenty twenty four happened.
- 1:28Speaker 1: But it was so upsetting. And then I think for
- 1:31Speaker 1: us because three of the four of us, sorry Gena,
- 1:34Speaker 1: watched Love Island to see the ITV people that had
- 1:39Speaker 1: kind of you know, been around for some of the
- 1:41Speaker 1: excitement then have to immediately go film an episode of
- 1:45Speaker 1: After Sun, which is like the wrap up after any
- 1:48Speaker 1: television reality television show where they sit around with people
- 1:52Speaker 1: that aren't on that show anymore and talk shit.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Yeah, like the Talking Dead.
- 1:56Speaker 4: It's called After Sun.
- 1:58Speaker 5: Yes, okay.
- 2:00Speaker 1: And they were all so sad they had jerseys on,
- 2:04Speaker 1: like I mean, they had literally been like watching it
- 2:07Speaker 1: at an ITV party I think, and then came to the.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Yeah, only would it worked if they won?
- 2:17Speaker 3: Oh, had they won, it would have been a completely different.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Totally different five.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Yeah, but that's not the show we're here to talk about. Guys.
- 2:25Speaker 1: We are here because we are showing our friends how
- 2:29Speaker 1: great golden girl it is. We be and my other Italian,
- 2:33Speaker 1: my other Italian?
- 2:35Speaker 3: He how you go?
- 2:37Speaker 4: You guys are ready for episode five?
- 2:40Speaker 3: Well, I'm partial partially Italian. My paternal grandmother was from Sicily.
- 2:48Speaker 2: There you go.
- 2:49Speaker 1: That counts, so we're equal opportunity Italians.
- 2:54Speaker 3: I mean, and you've seen my nose. This is my
- 2:57Speaker 3: father's nose. This is Italian. Note, I mean, like snug.
- 3:00Speaker 5: You know, I love him, but I ain't. Nobody got
- 3:02Speaker 5: nothing on a phil Fetto's nose. You got that.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Yeah, and he's Sicilian too, So I'm just saying we Sicilians.
- 3:11Speaker 3: We got the schnozes.
- 3:14Speaker 5: I got a cute little button nose my dad.
- 3:17Speaker 1: So my mom has a gina tiny little button nose
- 3:20Speaker 1: as she does. My dad has like big bird's beak.
- 3:25Speaker 1: It's the biggest Italian nose I've ever seen. So you
- 3:27Speaker 1: got lucky. I'm I'm the middle nose. I got the
- 3:30Speaker 1: middle nose, so mine's a little bigger than i'd like.
- 3:35Speaker 1: But it's only noticeable when I'm thin, So good news.
- 3:38Speaker 1: I've been fat for like the last two decades.
- 3:40Speaker 3: So your nose looks amazing. I think it's for your faces.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Behide my face when I'm no.
- 3:52Speaker 1: When I'm when I'm really fit, it does seem like
- 3:56Speaker 1: a much larger nose.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Uh.
- 3:58Speaker 1: It Like in high school, there were a couple of
- 4:00Speaker 1: pictures where I was like, Jesus, you could park a
- 4:03Speaker 1: car in that thing. But now that I know have
- 4:07Speaker 1: middle aged weight, it's not as noticeable to me.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Whoa age, let's get it. I think we're all beautiful
- 4:18Speaker 3: as we age. I mean, I I'm doing my best
- 4:23Speaker 3: to embrace the aging process. I mean, do I spend
- 4:29Speaker 3: money on all the creams and serums and things, Yes,
- 4:32Speaker 3: I do, But I'm not putting anything into my face,
- 4:39Speaker 3: like injectables. Just on it, just on it so it absorbs.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Juda.
- 4:45Speaker 5: Could you describe this episode sock for our listeners?
- 4:48Speaker 3: Oh, yes, of course. Well today, dear listeners, I have
- 4:52Speaker 3: mister Mayer on the sock or mister Mayer on the microphone.
- 4:57Speaker 3: He's got little legs and uh, little ears, and he's
- 5:03Speaker 3: and you can like pull him and he's so cute.
- 5:07Speaker 1: It's oh, you know, and I got.
- 5:10Speaker 3: This also this sock in the beautiful city of Idlewild, California.
- 5:16Speaker 5: I don't know if we've done this every episode, but
- 5:18Speaker 5: we gotta tell the listeners suck for her mic cover.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Your commitment to not spend the like four dollars on
- 5:27Speaker 1: a wind screen and to just use socks is really.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Now we have a bit.
- 5:31Speaker 2: It's a bit.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Yeah, And I don't need to even spend money on
- 5:35Speaker 3: a wind screen. I have one, it's in my garage.
- 5:40Speaker 3: But I also have a plethora of really cute socks.
- 5:45Speaker 1: She do.
- 5:49Speaker 4: That makes it even better.
- 5:50Speaker 2: No, he has time to deal with that. Just grab
- 5:52Speaker 2: a sock you don't want.
- 5:53Speaker 1: To get Honestly, as a woman with like three days
- 5:57Speaker 1: worth of dishes in her sink, right now saying I
- 6:00Speaker 1: fully get it.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I went in the kitchen this morning and I was like, nope, nope, yogurt. Yeah,
- 6:10Speaker 1: that's that's.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Tomorrow for me. I I loaded my dishwasher and ran it,
- 6:16Speaker 3: and that counts, but I didn't empty it, and I
- 6:19Speaker 3: also took out the trash.
- 6:22Speaker 5: Look at you, and she's sick with a cold.
- 6:24Speaker 3: She's super well and a clean my bathroom.
- 6:26Speaker 5: Holy moly, you're on it.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I scheduled my sickly dog for dental yesterday, so I feel.
- 6:33Speaker 5: Like, I mean, like adult, so is our producer?
- 6:37Speaker 4: Is she doing better?
- 6:38Speaker 3: How's zby doing?
- 6:40Speaker 1: I was looking for her around the studio, but she's
- 6:42Speaker 1: probably passed out in her little I made her a
- 6:46Speaker 1: little perch that's basically just like steps to get into
- 6:49Speaker 1: the recliner where she likes to sit. She's old. I
- 6:52Speaker 1: think she's sitting on that, which is right behind my monitor.
- 6:55Speaker 1: So but she no, she diurn better. She's got a
- 6:58Speaker 1: little pep in her steps. She's not peeing blood anymore.
- 7:00Speaker 3: So whoa.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I was scared. No one, no one plans to
- 7:09Speaker 1: watch their tiny five pound dog peep blood, and it
- 7:11Speaker 1: was shocking, and I was scared and we haven't recorded
- 7:14Speaker 1: since then, but so she she had a rough couple
- 7:17Speaker 1: of days, but she's in good spirits. I've ordered her
- 7:19Speaker 1: prescription dog food, and now she's going to get probably
- 7:23Speaker 1: the rest of her teeth pulled out, and she's going
- 7:25Speaker 1: to be used and super high on drugs.
- 7:28Speaker 4: They're just gonna pull her teeth out.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Yep, yeah, yeah, wow.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Was that some unrelated issue.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Well, it's the gums get it parted part yeah, well,
- 7:40Speaker 1: and the kidneys processed stuff for the body. So truthfully,
- 7:44Speaker 1: any infection that's going on in her mouth is heading
- 7:48Speaker 1: down in that direction.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I didn't know this part. Okay, Well, that's the same
- 7:52Speaker 2: for even humans. You get infection in your teeth, it
- 7:55Speaker 2: goes to your heart, your organs. It's it's very dangerous.
- 7:59Speaker 4: I did not know she had issues. Okay, good, We
- 8:01Speaker 4: wish you well.
- 8:02Speaker 5: Abby.
- 8:03Speaker 1: It's why she twice I sound like it because.
- 8:07Speaker 4: I don't have all my teeth shin.
- 8:09Speaker 5: She'll be like iad.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Abby is not going to have her little
- 8:16Speaker 1: elvis spoil anymore. Well if if if some of the
- 8:20Speaker 1: teeth aren't damaged or infected, they'll leave them. She might,
- 8:24Speaker 1: but she might just become that dog that's like tongue
- 8:27Speaker 1: hangs out all the time, which is equally as adorable.
- 8:30Speaker 3: Oh. Absolutely, she could make it work.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, rock. I mean they get like callouses basically
- 8:37Speaker 1: where the teeth were. They're still able to like eat,
- 8:40Speaker 1: and it's not it's a small dog problem. If you've
- 8:43Speaker 1: never had like a truly petite dog, you've not. I
- 8:46Speaker 1: mean we used to find we didn't know this. It
- 8:50Speaker 1: was the eighties. Man, it was wild. We didn't know
- 8:52Speaker 1: we had a yeah no, but we had a Yorkie
- 8:56Speaker 1: back in the day and she had she had lost
- 8:59Speaker 1: the tooth and I was like, why is there a
- 9:01Speaker 1: tooth on the ground, and like we just threw it away.
- 9:04Speaker 3: No.
- 9:04Speaker 1: One was like, oh, maybe something's wrong with her. Now
- 9:06Speaker 1: she had other problems. We ended up. We've actually never
- 9:09Speaker 1: had a dog die of natural causes.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Uh in the garbage?
- 9:19Speaker 3: Yeah, wait a little, this is what we do with
- 9:21Speaker 3: your teeth?
- 9:22Speaker 1: You lost it? No, I phoned it. No. Yeah, we've
- 9:25Speaker 1: never had an animal in our family that is died
- 9:29Speaker 1: of natural Well no, we've had one hamster dive of
- 9:32Speaker 1: natural causes, one not of natural causes, but the other
- 9:36Speaker 1: dogs all had to be.
- 9:38Speaker 5: A murder house, is what you're telling us right?
- 9:40Speaker 3: Could we could we discuss the.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Gets a lot.
- 9:47Speaker 3: I have questions.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I've surely told this story before.
- 9:52Speaker 3: I we don't know it, I I you, yes, So
- 9:56Speaker 3: since two of us do not recall this story, you
- 9:59Speaker 3: get to tell it again. Yeah, you, let's go.
- 10:01Speaker 2: What happened to your hamster?
- 10:03Speaker 1: In damn it?
- 10:06Speaker 3: All?
- 10:06Speaker 1: Right? I had a hamster when I worked at Disneylands.
- 10:10Speaker 1: He was my grandpa had died, and my friend bought
- 10:13Speaker 1: me a hamster, because you know what replaces your dead
- 10:15Speaker 1: grandfather a hamster. Yeah, But it was as if this
- 10:20Speaker 1: hamster knew I needed like a friend, and so he
- 10:23Speaker 1: would sit at the time at Disney I had a
- 10:26Speaker 1: vest the costume we had had vests the little pockets,
- 10:30Speaker 1: and I come home and I'd stick him in my
- 10:31Speaker 1: vest pocket and do a few things until I was
- 10:33Speaker 1: ready to like change clothes or whatever. And he would
- 10:35Speaker 1: just sit there and hold the little like piping around
- 10:40Speaker 1: the vest pocket and just like stare and look at stuff.
- 10:44Speaker 1: And he was the sweetest, most bestist like ever And
- 10:47Speaker 1: he would sit on my boob on the couch. Sometimes
- 10:50Speaker 1: he was like having the world's smallest dog, so lovely.
- 10:54Speaker 1: And this was around the time rated two he came out.
- 10:57Speaker 1: So his favorite treats were these little croissant shaped things
- 11:00Speaker 1: that Disney sold for way too much money at Petco
- 11:03Speaker 1: or wherever. So we went out of town hamsters or
- 11:06Speaker 1: a lot like cats. If you give them enough food,
- 11:08Speaker 1: you can leave them for a time. And we went
- 11:10Speaker 1: out of town and we came back and he had
- 11:13Speaker 1: developed an absess because he was old. He was pretty
- 11:16Speaker 1: close to his like two year expiration anyway, and his
- 11:19Speaker 1: arm basically like exploded his arm. He had like hit
- 11:25Speaker 1: like shoulder area above like where his little leg came.
- 11:28Speaker 1: God had just like opened up because he had had
- 11:31Speaker 1: some sort of like an infect The assist ruptured and
- 11:37Speaker 1: our vet at the time was like.
- 11:38Speaker 3: It's so we didn't like have like an actual explosion.
- 11:43Speaker 1: It was a big hole. It was like the size
- 11:46Speaker 1: of an almond. And then not only that, but then
- 11:53Speaker 1: ants had found their way to him and his streets
- 11:56Speaker 1: and stuff, and so there were just like ants living
- 11:58Speaker 1: with him in his felth and.
- 12:00Speaker 2: It's like where have you been? We were only.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Gone for like a weekend. So this all transpired sort
- 12:04Speaker 1: of quickly called the VAT and the vet was like,
- 12:06Speaker 1: it's a fucking hamster. We're not going to youth and
- 12:08Speaker 1: I a hamster, but you could try to like put
- 12:11Speaker 1: back tine on it. So for like two weeks I
- 12:13Speaker 1: kept trying to like put back tine on the wound
- 12:15Speaker 1: and keep it clean. And they told me I could
- 12:17Speaker 1: use that like sealine stuff to like wash the area
- 12:20Speaker 1: if he got fluff or whatever on it. And it
- 12:23Speaker 1: wasn't getting better, and I called back and I was like,
- 12:24Speaker 1: are you sure you can't just like give it a
- 12:26Speaker 1: tiny dose and like put him just I just I
- 12:29Speaker 1: don't want him to suffer. And they were like, it's
- 12:31Speaker 1: a hamster, throw it away, and I was like, wow.
- 12:34Speaker 3: I could throw it away.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Terrible vet.
- 12:37Speaker 2: People have no respect for rodents. The vet.
- 12:41Speaker 1: The vet knew our fan. This was the same vet
- 12:44Speaker 1: that accidentally killed our dog. But that's a different story.
- 12:48Speaker 5: Oh, just this fine, We'll leave it for next episode.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Yeah, let's move this along. It was an accidental thing
- 12:55Speaker 1: and it was propofol and it was the day Michael
- 12:57Speaker 1: Jackson died from propofal. So that's a fun story. We'll
- 12:59Speaker 1: tell that dog next time. That is fun. Anyway, long
- 13:03Speaker 1: story short, too late. Did I give the hamster wood? No? Yeah, no,
- 13:13Speaker 1: I know it would Yeah, that would have been the dog.
- 13:16Speaker 1: It's okay. The hamster just was like, stop rubbing that
- 13:19Speaker 1: Q tip on this open wound and my body. And
- 13:22Speaker 1: I was like, you're right, buddy. And so one day
- 13:26Speaker 1: I went to check on, you know, the process of
- 13:29Speaker 1: his dying slowly, and his eye had fallen out, just
- 13:33Speaker 1: like shriveled up. And so this portal hamster was like
- 13:36Speaker 1: shutting down slowly in front of me, and like I
- 13:38Speaker 1: couldn't take it anymore. And so I did some research
- 13:40Speaker 1: online because hamsters in the wild hibernate. A few people
- 13:46Speaker 1: had had success euthanizing on their own by putting them
- 13:50Speaker 1: in a like a box full of like fluff and
- 13:54Speaker 1: treats and stuff, and then they thought it was winter,
- 13:56Speaker 1: so they ate a little bit and then they burrowed
- 13:59Speaker 1: into like the luff. And so I put him in
- 14:02Speaker 1: a box, and my mom and I went to clean
- 14:06Speaker 1: jumper and drank a couple of cocktails and went home,
- 14:10Speaker 1: and then my mom handled what happened to the box.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I was devastated, but I couldn't watch him suffer. And
- 14:17Speaker 1: pocket pets or whatever you want to call that type
- 14:20Speaker 1: of small rodent animal pet there's not really a lot
- 14:24Speaker 1: of healthcare out there for them, and so I felt
- 14:26Speaker 1: totally helpless. But now everyone's like, you froze your hamster,
- 14:30Speaker 1: you monster, and I was like, honestly, I was at
- 14:32Speaker 1: my wits end. I just couldn't. I watched his eye
- 14:35Speaker 1: fucking follow out it Like I didn't see it fall out,
- 14:37Speaker 1: but like I watched it be there, and a few
- 14:40Speaker 1: days later it went from being a little bit like
- 14:42Speaker 1: puffy like you had pig eye, to it being not there,
- 14:46Speaker 1: and I had to I had to do something.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Yeah, So I remember hearing you say the freezer part,
- 14:52Speaker 5: but I had heard all this lead up to it, right,
- 14:55Speaker 5: So now I have the full story.
- 14:57Speaker 3: I think, well, I think when I told it traumatic.
- 15:01Speaker 1: When I told the story the first time, I think
- 15:02Speaker 1: I told it at like old school. We did the
- 15:05Speaker 1: chat thing during COVID with like the garmy, and I
- 15:08Speaker 1: think I had told the story there, and I knew
- 15:12Speaker 1: that Ralph liked to get people on fast, and yeah,
- 15:16Speaker 1: I let for the humor of the moment, it'd be
- 15:19Speaker 1: that I was like a hamster killer, but it was
- 15:21Speaker 1: actually like a really sad story where like I just
- 15:25Speaker 1: didn't know what else to do. But to help him.
- 15:29Speaker 1: I'm sure if I ever run into him again, if
- 15:32Speaker 1: there is some sort of afterlife or something, he's gonna
- 15:34Speaker 1: be like, dude, thank you so much. I had like
- 15:36Speaker 1: one more eye and three more legs to go like
- 15:38Speaker 1: thank you, like you helped me.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, Well, I give you permission to roll me
- 15:45Speaker 3: into the freezer if I can't. If you start seeing
- 15:50Speaker 3: my eyes falling out of my head and you know,
- 15:54Speaker 3: I'm just not I'm just not gonna make it.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Well, we could ask Jeremy how it feels to freeze
- 15:59Speaker 1: to oh, yeah.
- 16:04Speaker 2: My dearly departed husband the window Farley.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Anyway, what's what's going on with everyone else? I don't
- 16:10Speaker 1: mean to monopolize that with my apparently, don't. Don't if
- 16:14Speaker 1: you're a pet. If you're listening and you are a pet,
- 16:17Speaker 1: don't come live with me.
- 16:18Speaker 5: Don't happened to mym call us, don't add us.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Oh well, we just got back from Tahoe camping, camping out.
- 16:28Speaker 4: In the wood, were hanging out with a bear.
- 16:30Speaker 2: We did We last like five years. We've seen brown bears,
- 16:35Speaker 2: I'm sorry, not a brown bear. Black bears, because they're
- 16:37Speaker 2: much more friendly.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Is that what that one was? In the picture. I
- 16:40Speaker 4: couldn't sell.
- 16:41Speaker 3: He looked exactly.
- 16:45Speaker 2: You don't want to run into a grizzly right, Well,
- 16:48Speaker 2: we don't have those out here, not in the Tahoe
- 16:51Speaker 2: National Forest. There. They're these little black bears and they
- 16:54Speaker 2: come through the campground just because they smell everybody cooking
- 16:56Speaker 2: breakfasts and stuff, and so they just want to see
- 16:59Speaker 2: what's going on. All you do is make a bunch
- 17:01Speaker 2: of noise and they run off. They never hurt you
- 17:03Speaker 2: or anything, but it's so fun to see. They're really cute.
- 17:06Speaker 5: They're like big dogs.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Well kind of, but you don't want to get too close.
- 17:12Speaker 2: You don't want to get into their space, and they
- 17:15Speaker 2: won't bother you unless there's like a baby or something.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Even if there's a baby, if you stay away, they're
- 17:20Speaker 2: not going to bother you. But they're just fun to
- 17:22Speaker 2: look at and it's a cool experience. My nieces were there,
- 17:25Speaker 2: so my four year old niece got to see a
- 17:27Speaker 2: bear in the woods, which was really cool. And it's
- 17:30Speaker 2: been hot there, so the lake was refreshing because it's
- 17:34Speaker 2: cold snow melt. It's about sixty degrees. It was perfection.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Oh nice, So just getting to relax in the lake
- 17:42Speaker 2: and see the Canadian geese are always there honking around
- 17:45Speaker 2: on the shore and in the water. You don't mess
- 17:47Speaker 2: with the geese. It's things nasty sho around family, trying
- 17:52Speaker 2: to steal your food. You gotta be careful with the geese.
- 17:56Speaker 5: Father.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Yeah, they are at the renfair site too.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Yeah they're assholes, but it's just nice, relaxing to get
- 18:05Speaker 2: out into nature. The little chipmunks are always running around
- 18:09Speaker 2: chasing each other. And we call the chipmunks plague squirrels
- 18:13Speaker 2: because one year when we went, they said, don't mess
- 18:16Speaker 2: with the chipmunks. They could be carrying the babonic plag
- 18:19Speaker 2: Oh that's joke that the chipmunks are plague squirrels. So
- 18:25Speaker 2: it's always fun to watch them do a little mischief
- 18:27Speaker 2: because they always check out your camp to see if
- 18:30Speaker 2: you left anything out for them to nomenom on.
- 18:32Speaker 3: So oh, well it's you are going into Yeah, we're
- 18:38Speaker 3: in their area.
- 18:39Speaker 2: And I always try to respect the wildlife and nature
- 18:43Speaker 2: because we're imposing on their territory. Just like with the bears.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Don't leave your food out. Keep it locked up because
- 18:49Speaker 2: if the bears get into it, then they become a
- 18:52Speaker 2: problem and they have to be put down, and that's
- 18:54Speaker 2: not fair because we're invading their area.
- 18:56Speaker 3: So don't be stupid.
- 18:58Speaker 5: Stupid exactly, or just go to a hotel like a
- 19:04Speaker 5: normal person and.
- 19:06Speaker 2: You don't get to experience and camp.
- 19:11Speaker 3: It's so much.
- 19:16Speaker 1: You guys all helped me get my free tent on
- 19:19Speaker 1: TAM so now I'm obligated to go camping at some point.
- 19:25Speaker 4: Oh, I didn't hear back that you've got.
- 19:26Speaker 5: It all right?
- 19:28Speaker 1: Yeah, Jody, good, Jody put me over the edge.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Well I didn't show up that I didn't.
- 19:35Speaker 1: No, No, I wasn't going to bring that up because
- 19:42Speaker 1: I tried, Like I even downloaded the app and I
- 19:45Speaker 1: was like, all right, I get a log in water
- 19:47Speaker 1: my phone number and alls a nope, oh that yeah
- 19:51Speaker 1: that you had. You had to confirm your phone number
- 19:54Speaker 1: and then leave, and I don't.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Want to put in my phone number.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't do anything. Let's get Aaron her tent.
- 20:04Speaker 1: It is cute. It's a it's like a two person tent,
- 20:06Speaker 1: I think, and it's blue with like stars on it
- 20:08Speaker 1: and it's one of the kind that like pops up
- 20:10Speaker 1: on its own.
- 20:12Speaker 2: I'm very excited if it's a two person tent from
- 20:15Speaker 2: Timu before you try to go camping with it, I
- 20:18Speaker 2: would check to see how big it really is.
- 20:20Speaker 3: We're gonna need a reveal part like are a boxing.
- 20:25Speaker 3: I want to know if it's true to size or
- 20:28Speaker 3: if it's like gargantoid or miniature.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Like a six person tent and like maybe three four people, Matt,
- 20:38Speaker 2: Maybe they mean kids, two kids?
- 20:40Speaker 1: You know that?
- 20:40Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 20:41Speaker 1: Did you know that I'm single and that my only
- 20:44Speaker 1: family that is willing to camp would possibly be my
- 20:47Speaker 1: tiny white dog. So I think I'm probably okay and
- 20:50Speaker 1: a two person Yeah?
- 20:52Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah maybe.
- 20:53Speaker 5: I still can't wait to see it though, Yeah.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I'm excited. It'll be here in like two weeks.
- 20:58Speaker 3: We to do it reveal six looks. Yeah, oh it's
- 21:02Speaker 3: going to be here in two weeks.
- 21:04Speaker 1: No, it will. There's so much faster than wish I got.
- 21:07Speaker 1: I've been getting my stuff in like eight days from them.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Really, they must have warehouses here that they do?
- 21:14Speaker 1: They do?
- 21:15Speaker 3: They do?
- 21:16Speaker 2: Okay, most of the stuff you find on Timu or
- 21:19Speaker 2: Sine you can find on Amazon. It's the same stuff.
- 21:22Speaker 1: One of the free things that I got in my
- 21:25Speaker 1: bundle was my plague. I've been talking about this plague
- 21:29Speaker 1: doctor Cone incense burner that I wanted, and oh I
- 21:36Speaker 1: got him free. But I could have bought him for
- 21:39Speaker 1: like ten dollars on Amazon, but he was free.
- 21:41Speaker 3: He's probably, Oh, I need to see that's gonna be
- 21:44Speaker 3: That sounds amazing.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Yeah, what's new with you, Gina?
- 21:50Speaker 5: I get to go to Comic Con next weekend.
- 21:52Speaker 4: I'm pretty excited.
- 21:52Speaker 5: It's my first one.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Really ever, how excited.
- 21:57Speaker 5: I went to my boss and said, hey, can that
- 22:00Speaker 5: take a half a day on Friday to go to
- 22:02Speaker 5: Comic Con? And he went he laughed and went, oh,
- 22:04Speaker 5: you're one of those that said a nerd. Yeah I am.
- 22:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I embrace my geek dub.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I'd have been like super awesome people. Yes, damn, I'm
- 22:16Speaker 1: sorry that you're not.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Yeah, well that'll be fun. What are you looking forward
- 22:20Speaker 2: to the most?
- 22:20Speaker 5: There's Kevin Smith stuff. He's moderating a Simpsons panel. Oh,
- 22:27Speaker 5: and also there's the what we do in the Shadows
- 22:30Speaker 5: final season thing?
- 22:34Speaker 3: This you are going to need to tell us all
- 22:37Speaker 3: about that.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Okay, I'm excited.
- 22:40Speaker 3: I'm very excited.
- 22:41Speaker 5: About I'm at least excited for the unwashed nerd funk
- 22:45Speaker 5: that I've heard about oh yeah, take a bath.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Well, I just have to say I'm really excited to
- 22:50Speaker 2: watch another episode because I've been having restraint because I
- 22:54Speaker 2: really wanted to watch it, and I'm like, no, I'm
- 22:57Speaker 2: gonna wait so I can watch with the girls and
- 22:59Speaker 2: experience for the first time with them.
- 23:01Speaker 3: So right, especially with me being a little bit under
- 23:05Speaker 3: the weather and being on the sofa, having access and
- 23:10Speaker 3: the amount of time to just sit here and binge
- 23:13Speaker 3: something and not being able to binge. Golden Girls just
- 23:17Speaker 3: break them my heart. So I'm gray happy.
- 23:19Speaker 5: Well me too, and I've seen them a bunch, so
- 23:22Speaker 5: it's hard. We're doing this for you all.
- 23:25Speaker 1: I'm just watching them if I want to, because I
- 23:27Speaker 1: have the memorized. There's the joy for me is watching
- 23:30Speaker 1: you guys watch it for you know, some of the
- 23:33Speaker 1: episodes the first time. So well, maybe we should get
- 23:36Speaker 1: right into that, because after all, that's why you're here.
- 23:40Speaker 5: Yeah, we are on episode five. It is called The Triangle.
- 23:45Speaker 5: It originally premiered October nineteenth, nineteen eighty five, directed by
- 23:51Speaker 5: Jim Drake, written by Winifred Harrive. I love that name, Winnifred,
- 23:56Speaker 5: and I noted that it was too weak between the
- 24:01Speaker 5: last episode, and I tried to find online what that
- 24:05Speaker 5: gap would have been, but I couldn't find it.
- 24:07Speaker 4: So I don't know.
- 24:08Speaker 5: Didn't seem like anything important happened.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Could it have been maybe a holiday?
- 24:15Speaker 5: It was just mid October, I don't know. The last
- 24:20Speaker 5: one was October fifth.
- 24:21Speaker 3: I'm wondering if anything having to do with any presidential candidate, Like, yeah,
- 24:28Speaker 3: if it was a debate on or something, well.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Eighty five would have been, you know, ten months into
- 24:36Speaker 1: Reagan's oh second term.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Huh.
- 24:40Speaker 5: Could have just been stretching in a season out. Maybe
- 24:42Speaker 5: that's how they do it, because.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Back in the day you got like twenty two episodes kids, or.
- 24:47Speaker 1: That could have been like Halloween specials or something on.
- 24:49Speaker 1: I remember there was where a lot of Halloween specials
- 24:51Speaker 1: when I was a kid, where like there'd be a
- 24:54Speaker 1: thing in the newspaper with for like three glasses and
- 24:56Speaker 1: then you'd watch the TV in the TV guide, it
- 25:01Speaker 1: would give you the glasses and you'd watch the like
- 25:03Speaker 1: hands wipe out of your TV at you and that
- 25:05Speaker 1: kind of shit.
- 25:06Speaker 2: I remember that.
- 25:07Speaker 3: I do remember that tool stuff.
- 25:10Speaker 5: Yeah, So Kristin and Jodie, what do you think this
- 25:13Speaker 5: episode's about? Called the triangle.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Ooh, it's gotta be I'm gonna say Blanch. It involves
- 25:22Speaker 3: Blanche and Lange dating somebody that person's also dating somebody else.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I definitely love triangle, I'm thinking, but I'm
- 25:37Speaker 2: also kind of wondering if maybe two of the women
- 25:40Speaker 2: in the house are both interested in the same guy.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I actually don't remember what this one was about, but
- 25:46Speaker 1: I do want to say, just by the name.
- 25:47Speaker 4: Would you like to guess?
- 25:49Speaker 1: I'd like to say I think it's about them all
- 25:53Speaker 1: wanting to play the triangle in a band, and then okay,
- 25:58Speaker 1: that's not true. I need I need you guys to
- 26:03Speaker 1: come to a consensus on who I'm going to make
- 26:05Speaker 1: the villain at the end of it. So we had
- 26:09Speaker 1: Rose before and we had Blanche before, and they both
- 26:13Speaker 1: were easy to make the case when I just.
- 26:16Speaker 5: Watched this song because I made a quiz for it.
- 26:19Speaker 5: So maybe you girls want to pick.
- 26:21Speaker 3: I'm gonna say Dorothy is the villain in this one.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Yeah, let's do Dorothy. I was saying Dorothy or Sophia,
- 26:29Speaker 2: So let's.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Do Yeah, say, that's exactly what I was thinking. So hey,
- 26:32Speaker 3: we're on the same page.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Okay, all right, I'll do the best I can, but.
- 26:38Speaker 4: It's going to be easy for you.
- 26:42Speaker 2: All right, challenge accept it.
- 26:44Speaker 1: We'll be right back after we watched the episode.
- 26:47Speaker 3: After these messages, we'll be back.
- 26:53Speaker 5: This is the part of the show where we went
- 26:56Speaker 5: to watch the Golden Girls, and now we're back.
- 27:02Speaker 4: Welcome back. Did you enjoy the episode?
- 27:06Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, it was so good.
- 27:08Speaker 2: That was fun.
- 27:10Speaker 1: I like this episode. I will say, for those of
- 27:13Speaker 1: you watching along at home, I forget. It didn't trigger me.
- 27:17Speaker 1: I'm not sad now. But the first time I saw
- 27:20Speaker 1: this episode after I had been through a traumatic point
- 27:26Speaker 1: in my life, did I say traumatic?
- 27:28Speaker 4: Did I traumatic?
- 27:31Speaker 3: Yeah? It was that like traumatic and dramatic.
- 27:34Speaker 1: I went, yeah, I think so. I went there a
- 27:37Speaker 1: situation where people didn't believe me about something that had
- 27:40Speaker 1: happened and it was a bad thing. And on that situation,
- 27:45Speaker 1: I remember the first time I saw this episode after that,
- 27:47Speaker 1: and I.
- 27:47Speaker 5: Was like, you're a mess, just wants to be.
- 27:57Speaker 1: No, it was a good episode, but if you've recently
- 27:59Speaker 1: had a with a friend where they don't believe you
- 28:01Speaker 1: about something, yeah, give it, give it a day.
- 28:07Speaker 3: It was good, though, so good. A little bit of
- 28:10Speaker 3: a redemption story for Blanche, you know, definitely getting actually
- 28:17Speaker 3: having someone believe her, but also good a Rose for
- 28:21Speaker 3: for in her beautiful comedic way of trying to be
- 28:26Speaker 3: as sexy as she possibly could, which is hilarious.
- 28:29Speaker 4: Rose saved the day.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Yeah, my little twitch, I'm going to start flirting like
- 28:36Speaker 1: freaking out. Boy. So whenever tell you look like a
- 28:45Speaker 1: I never. I had no idea what that person Jerry Vale?
- 28:48Speaker 2: I think, yeah, the singer.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I think he's a singer.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I just looked, I don't know what you look like.
- 28:56Speaker 5: He was on the gray hair.
- 28:59Speaker 4: He kind of looked like that guy.
- 29:01Speaker 3: Oh, let you go well, all.
- 29:03Speaker 5: Right, okay, you want your quiz, let's do it. Okay,
- 29:08Speaker 5: we're gonna do a fun fact first. Okay, b Arthur
- 29:13Speaker 5: got her first Emmy nomination for this episode. Oh nice,
- 29:18Speaker 5: but lost too, Betty White valid.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Yeah, and that that was the.
- 29:27Speaker 3: Start of the few.
- 29:29Speaker 5: Yes, all right, there is your Gina made quiz. Okay, okay,
- 29:36Speaker 5: you're gonna say your name is your buzzer?
- 29:37Speaker 3: Right right?
- 29:39Speaker 5: Number one? Who was the other woman in Sophia's story
- 29:45Speaker 5: with a pizza recipe?
- 29:47Speaker 3: If they're still yes, I forgot I know it's baba.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it was mama's and then she blanked it out. No, no,
- 29:57Speaker 2: she said it. She said it at the end. Or
- 30:00Speaker 2: was it earlier that she said earlier? That's where I
- 30:04Speaker 2: missed it.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't. I don't remember.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Aaron, you want to help them, mama?
- 30:08Speaker 1: Ce last, very last.
- 30:14Speaker 5: Number two in Roses story, What did the vet try
- 30:19Speaker 5: to do to the Swenson brother Yes.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Pass straight them, pretty much them.
- 30:28Speaker 3: I was writing down during that part doctor slash veterinarian
- 30:35Speaker 3: home visits, So I missed that completely.
- 30:39Speaker 5: You drank pig liniment. I don't know what that is Minnesota.
- 30:44Speaker 5: Oh do.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Hold I don't want to ever drink pig or hog liniment.
- 30:51Speaker 1: I don't know what that is. I don't. I don't
- 30:53Speaker 1: want it in my mouth.
- 30:54Speaker 3: No, I agree. Well, let's peak. We're making a peaky promise.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Packed here, ladies. No everests hog ligaments frantically is googling
- 31:06Speaker 3: what the fuck is?
- 31:08Speaker 5: Oh it's a it's a muscle relaxer. Oh wait, hold
- 31:11Speaker 5: on getting high off of it?
- 31:15Speaker 3: We are? I take that.
- 31:16Speaker 4: That's say safe for human use?
- 31:18Speaker 2: All right? Oh, packed, packed, new bag.
- 31:22Speaker 5: We're gonna all dream ourselves.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Yeah, picture it. Ve yeah, I know you got wet shops.
- 31:34Speaker 4: You gotta hog Yeah.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Yeah, Question relaxed.
- 31:40Speaker 5: Question three. Why was Sophia saying she was going to
- 31:44Speaker 5: Mildred's house?
- 31:46Speaker 3: Jodi? Yes, to watch adult movies on the extra wide television.
- 31:54Speaker 5: That's right.
- 31:56Speaker 4: Question four?
- 31:57Speaker 5: Why did Sophia need to see it?
- 32:01Speaker 3: Jody? Yes, high blood pressure and she wasn't sleeping and
- 32:06Speaker 3: she was always tired.
- 32:07Speaker 5: Yes, you paid attention.
- 32:10Speaker 3: I paid notes.
- 32:11Speaker 5: Question fat. When does Elliot first hit on Blanche?
- 32:16Speaker 3: Jody? Yes, when he first meets her.
- 32:21Speaker 4: Can you be more specific?
- 32:23Speaker 3: Well, I mean he was hitting on her when he
- 32:27Speaker 3: first met her and said, you know, she said, oh,
- 32:29Speaker 3: you're the most What was Blanche doing going to the bathroom?
- 32:33Speaker 3: No changing, Nope, that.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Was when he first met her, when he got there,
- 32:38Speaker 2: But when he hit on hers when she was mixing
- 32:40Speaker 2: him a drink when he stowed up to pick up
- 32:41Speaker 2: Dorothy for other date.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Sorry, yeah that's what I said.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Which, by the way, I've never been a retired woman
- 32:53Speaker 1: in her like fifties or sixties, save save not. I
- 32:56Speaker 1: can't imagine that I would keep freshly thin sliced lemon
- 33:03Speaker 1: in my bar cart. Because when he leaves and she
- 33:06Speaker 1: sits down with Rose. She made the slow jin fish
- 33:09Speaker 1: she made and did not give to him. She drinks
- 33:11Speaker 1: and she goes and says on the couch and there's
- 33:13Speaker 1: fucking lemon slice on it, And I was like, who
- 33:16Speaker 1: has that in their bar cart?
- 33:18Speaker 3: She is a.
- 33:18Speaker 5: Southern name known for entertaining gentlemen.
- 33:22Speaker 3: My apology, but I do declare, this is just how
- 33:27Speaker 3: we do it in the selle.
- 33:28Speaker 2: You have to be I have to throw this out there.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Since we're talking about Blanche in the South thing, I
- 33:33Speaker 2: caught three distinct quotes that came directly from gone with
- 33:37Speaker 2: the Wind, So I do declare, they say, and gone
- 33:41Speaker 2: with the wind?
- 33:42Speaker 1: I do declare, and then.
- 33:44Speaker 2: She also says the I hate to say, I told
- 33:48Speaker 2: you so, but I told you so. Okay. The way
- 33:51Speaker 2: she said that was also gone with the wind, and
- 33:54Speaker 2: then the user or.
- 33:57Speaker 1: No, no, gentleman.
- 33:58Speaker 2: That one really caught my assension. Yeah, gentle I'm just
- 34:02Speaker 2: curious to see in future episodes if they keep with
- 34:05Speaker 2: that theme. I know it's like a Southern bell type thing,
- 34:08Speaker 2: but all those yeahs I recognize from that very stereo.
- 34:12Speaker 5: Dad is big Daddy is that from Gone with the No?
- 34:16Speaker 1: But her dad is also was Julia Sugar Baker's bo
- 34:22Speaker 1: on designing women that they played bo.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Is another term that is, I don't know who?
- 34:31Speaker 6: And question six, what happens when Blanche tells Dorothy that
- 34:40Speaker 6: Elliott made a pass at her?
- 34:43Speaker 3: Jody?
- 34:44Speaker 2: Jody?
- 34:45Speaker 3: She doesn't believe her, that's right?
- 34:48Speaker 4: And what does she call her?
- 34:50Speaker 3: A slot?
- 34:51Speaker 2: That's right, I couldn't believe that.
- 34:53Speaker 1: I know. Well, it was the eighties. Today she would
- 35:04Speaker 1: have been like you fucking twat waffle.
- 35:06Speaker 4: She also calls her a Jezebel.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:10Speaker 5: Question seven, what does Sophia call Elliott when she learns
- 35:15Speaker 5: about him hitting on Blanche?
- 35:18Speaker 3: Jody?
- 35:19Speaker 5: Yes, scuzbucket, Yeah, man, Jody's wiping the floor with us,
- 35:24Speaker 5: got it.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Trivia's back, baby? Question Well, I mean I've been going
- 35:30Speaker 3: to trivia again.
- 35:31Speaker 4: She's she's all warmed up.
- 35:35Speaker 5: What does Dorothy say she would rather do than have
- 35:39Speaker 5: coffee with Blanche?
- 35:44Speaker 1: I know the answer, if no one else does.
- 35:47Speaker 3: I don't remember, I don't remember help him.
- 35:51Speaker 1: She would rather use Willie Nelson's hair brush.
- 35:54Speaker 2: That's right.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Oh, yes, that's right, because that's that's when somebody somebody
- 35:59Speaker 3: bed shed tears like the very southern Yes.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Oh no, I said he has nice hair.
- 36:05Speaker 5: Will I was like, what's wrong with his hair brush?
- 36:09Speaker 1: I don't know that I'd want to like touch his
- 36:11Speaker 1: facial hair. It feels like that would be where dirt
- 36:14Speaker 1: is not his silky long.
- 36:15Speaker 4: Locks, just reeks of weed.
- 36:17Speaker 3: But no, he's got doesn't he have his old legs.
- 36:23Speaker 2: And usually his braided back. Yeah?
- 36:26Speaker 1: Yeah, look, I we.
- 36:28Speaker 5: Support you, Willie Nelson amlu and I we support yeah.
- 36:34Speaker 5: Question nine, what photo does Rose offer to show? Elliott
- 36:45Speaker 5: gave me a giggle.
- 36:48Speaker 4: I don't remember Kristen.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Kristen's look at her?
- 36:56Speaker 2: I don't remember. I know it's written here somewhere.
- 36:58Speaker 5: I can't read my writing, Eric, do you want to help?
- 37:00Speaker 1: Did you want to see a picture of me in
- 37:02Speaker 1: a polaroid of me and my tennis cart?
- 37:05Speaker 5: Oh, that's right, all right, I have a tiebreaker here
- 37:09Speaker 5: if Needa, let's see.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Oh, I haven't been keeping tallies.
- 37:13Speaker 5: I got Jody at four, Kristina at two, and Aaron
- 37:16Speaker 5: at three.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Oh, I'm not playing to win. It's not fair. Okay,
- 37:22Speaker 1: it's not fair.
- 37:23Speaker 5: Really, Weshington, Why does Blant say no one ever believes
- 37:30Speaker 5: her when she's telling the truth.
- 37:32Speaker 4: Yes, she has lied before, are you gonna buzz in.
- 37:35Speaker 3: Oh, Jody, Yes, because she's lied before.
- 37:39Speaker 2: But what is it?
- 37:40Speaker 4: What's the quote she says?
- 37:41Speaker 5: Do you remember? It's very good line if it's even
- 37:44Speaker 5: on her Christmas ornament from Hallmark I.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Do to Claria, No, I don't know. I don't remember. Sorry, Kristin,
- 37:52Speaker 3: I'm gonna have to forfeit that one.
- 37:53Speaker 4: Aaron doesn't know.
- 37:54Speaker 1: I don't think I know this.
- 37:56Speaker 5: She has the curse of being a devastatingly beautiful beautiful
- 38:01Speaker 5: that's right. Yes, we do not need a Cyberger for
- 38:04Speaker 5: it is Jody with the wind ye.
- 38:09Speaker 3: I would also like to point out the makeup and
- 38:13Speaker 3: hair in this episode. It's it's Aaron said it dirt
- 38:18Speaker 3: while we were watching. It's like they were. They got
- 38:21Speaker 3: picked up so they were able to spend a little
- 38:24Speaker 3: bit more money and have a professional style of hairstylist
- 38:28Speaker 3: and a makeup artists on set.
- 38:30Speaker 5: Yeah, we were saying, Sophia doesn't look like her yet,
- 38:32Speaker 5: so now she's got somebody to make her look like
- 38:36Speaker 5: the person.
- 38:38Speaker 3: She Definitely they aged they aged Sophia that there was
- 38:42Speaker 3: lashes for days on both Rose and Blanche, and the
- 38:47Speaker 3: eye makeup was like it was like Hello, we're in
- 38:49Speaker 3: the eighties. Would you like some blue?
- 38:52Speaker 1: That one scene Rose or the one scene Blanche was
- 38:55Speaker 1: putting the bush on and I was like, you can
- 38:58Speaker 1: stop now.
- 39:00Speaker 4: At least how much perfume did she put on?
- 39:02Speaker 1: She used three different bottles in that scene. She had
- 39:06Speaker 1: the blue on, the purple one, and then I think
- 39:07Speaker 1: she picked up like a she's gonna mix some like what.
- 39:16Speaker 3: It was at the end of the day and she
- 39:17Speaker 3: was going to bed. Yeah, who did she think? Bob
- 39:21Speaker 3: from that thought it.
- 39:22Speaker 5: Was the start of a day because they were going
- 39:24Speaker 5: to golf. Oh, she'd probably get ready for a date.
- 39:29Speaker 5: She's always in her robe, like she's a girl that
- 39:32Speaker 5: would always put her face on. You could tell that
- 39:34Speaker 5: she'd never go anywhere about.
- 39:36Speaker 1: You're right, my aunt was, well, my aunt was, but
- 39:40Speaker 1: my aunt was blanching that aspect. Like the morning she
- 39:43Speaker 1: had her stroke. She made her husband like let her
- 39:46Speaker 1: finish getting ready before they went.
- 39:49Speaker 4: I can't go to the e R like this.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Or not husband. I guess it was her like man
- 39:52Speaker 1: friend her name.
- 39:53Speaker 4: For ander Bobo.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Yeah, well this episode wasn't hard guys for the villain. Yeah,
- 40:02Speaker 1: I'm not going to go into I made a list
- 40:04Speaker 1: kind of handed it to Aaron, Yeah, calling her friend.
- 40:07Speaker 1: It's two episodes in a row that I have just
- 40:09Speaker 1: relished that. I've let you guys pick who the villain is.
- 40:11Speaker 3: I love doing that.
- 40:13Speaker 1: It's fun. I like it. Great little lad a great bit.
- 40:17Speaker 1: But I will say Dorothy is not a girl's girl.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Dorothy has a little bit of a chip on her shoulder,
- 40:22Speaker 1: and there are gonna be other times where she very
- 40:25Speaker 1: selfishly assumes that someone's just jealous of her. And I
- 40:29Speaker 1: think it's because she doesn't normally get nice.
- 40:31Speaker 4: She doesn't get the attention.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:33Speaker 5: Yeah, Well, and if you remember the episode, Blanche went
- 40:36Speaker 5: to change, so Elliott did not see her and was like, okay,
- 40:40Speaker 5: I could rock with this girl. And then he was
- 40:41Speaker 5: like whoa look at her.
- 40:43Speaker 4: Yeah, so that's why it happened.
- 40:45Speaker 1: It's like going into a bit.
- 40:46Speaker 5: She would have taken him if if Elliott had seen
- 40:49Speaker 5: her first.
- 40:49Speaker 3: Yeah. Absolutely.
- 40:51Speaker 5: But then they had a bunch of fun times together, so.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll crack me up. She was inviting him to
- 40:57Speaker 2: show him around town and maybe go on a date
- 41:00Speaker 2: or whatever, and Rose is like, oh, that sounds like fun,
- 41:03Speaker 2: and she's like, oh yeah, I have to wash my
- 41:06Speaker 2: hair every day for the rest of my life. I died.
- 41:11Speaker 4: Well, she stamped on her foot.
- 41:13Speaker 1: That was That was in my list of things that
- 41:16Speaker 1: shitty that she did, because I was.
- 41:17Speaker 5: Like, fuck, you don't have to like see like crap.
- 41:22Speaker 1: She basically was a step from hobbling her.
- 41:25Speaker 5: Go on with your villain story and oh got.
- 41:32Speaker 1: I've literally never had that trick work before. And as
- 41:34Speaker 1: you know, site tricks work great on podcasts, so you're alcome.
- 41:38Speaker 5: You are all amazed.
- 41:41Speaker 1: I thought for sure that usually what happens is my
- 41:45Speaker 1: stubby little hand is not big enough and people see
- 41:48Speaker 1: the pen. But because of my black shirt and the microphone, oh.
- 41:50Speaker 3: Oh yeah, it completely camouflages it, all right.
- 41:54Speaker 5: Pen tricks for dates Aaron Scabbetty, master of site Magic.
- 41:59Speaker 2: On a podcast.
- 42:00Speaker 5: On a podcast, she made Jeremy disappear.
- 42:05Speaker 1: Hey, oh man, yeah, no, that's I I just she was.
- 42:14Speaker 1: She was like steps away from hobbling her to keep
- 42:17Speaker 1: that date. I mean it was intense and he was.
- 42:21Speaker 1: I mean none of the guys uncle, apparently middle aged
- 42:24Speaker 1: to early senior guys were not sexy in the eighties
- 42:28Speaker 1: because they're far less attractive, but they're falling all over them. Yeah,
- 42:34Speaker 1: it's it is interesting, but as someone dating in their
- 42:38Speaker 1: mid forties, it's like it is bleak out there. The
- 42:42Speaker 1: good ones, like their wives were nice to them and
- 42:44Speaker 1: kept them. So maybe that's the answer.
- 42:49Speaker 5: Well, yeah, I can only hope for a widower right now.
- 42:53Speaker 1: I'm just hoping for like someone that's like, you know,
- 42:56Speaker 1: lost someone due to illness.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Just start looking at the obituary.
- 43:00Speaker 3: Right what if I died and the man that you
- 43:07Speaker 3: met and fell in love with and married, I donated
- 43:11Speaker 3: my heart to him and that's how he was able
- 43:13Speaker 3: to be alive.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Oh what is happening right now?
- 43:18Speaker 5: Why did she want date her in another body? Switch?
- 43:24Speaker 3: No? No, no, no waste up girlfriends just wayte let's
- 43:28Speaker 3: let's let's I'll.
- 43:29Speaker 5: Put my organs in your new boyfriend and it's like
- 43:31Speaker 5: we'll be dating, so you'll.
- 43:33Speaker 3: Still have a piece of joke with Would that be
- 43:36Speaker 3: weird if like, because I want to donate all of
- 43:40Speaker 3: my organs.
- 43:41Speaker 5: When you going to give him, I'll be dead.
- 43:45Speaker 3: I don't care and take whatever they want.
- 43:48Speaker 1: My dog and one of my best friends want to
- 43:51Speaker 1: consume or keep me with them at all times because
- 43:56Speaker 1: I feel like Abby would definitely eat a little piece
- 43:58Speaker 1: of me if I die, because she'd want me with
- 44:01Speaker 1: her always, and now you want me with you always.
- 44:04Speaker 1: When your heart's in another body, it's not weird at all,
- 44:07Speaker 1: you guys, I don't feel it always. Who's gonna wear
- 44:11Speaker 1: my skin as a coat? Do we have any takers? Anybody?
- 44:13Speaker 2: I've got a cap.
- 44:18Speaker 3: You have, I'll make a mark out of your hair.
- 44:21Speaker 1: You have to make you have. It's the closest my
- 44:25Speaker 1: head will ever be to a vagina. You need to
- 44:29Speaker 1: make Blanche's ugly watteau backed gown out of my skin.
- 44:34Speaker 1: That is my command to you.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Whoever wears.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Stylish dress, that's that's a challenge. You'll be able to
- 44:43Speaker 1: use the excess skin from my titties to make like
- 44:47Speaker 1: pockets too.
- 44:49Speaker 3: When did we become edit? That's what I want to know.
- 44:53Speaker 3: When do we become edging?
- 44:56Speaker 1: Oh, right around the time that you told me I
- 45:00Speaker 1: was gonna have to marry the man who got your
- 45:02Speaker 1: dead heart put in her body's probably right around then.
- 45:05Speaker 3: No, I would be like, how romantic it would be
- 45:08Speaker 3: if well, it just feels a little bit like the
- 45:11Speaker 3: plot for Monk when Trudy's eyes are in a cab
- 45:14Speaker 3: driver that mister monk runs into but yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 45:17Speaker 3: same super sweet.
- 45:18Speaker 5: Yeah sure, best friends whatever.
- 45:20Speaker 3: That that took a dark turn. No, that's a there's
- 45:24Speaker 3: a real episode of the TV I've never seen it.
- 45:29Speaker 1: His dead wife's corneas get transplanted into this woman and
- 45:32Speaker 1: he can just like feel his wife's presence in this lady,
- 45:36Speaker 1: and so he keeps like trying to find her. It
- 45:38Speaker 1: is really sweet. But the concept on paper sounds how
- 45:43Speaker 1: you sounded. It felt like a good way to let
- 45:45Speaker 1: you know what you sounded like.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Well, I've read some good romance books that you know,
- 45:49Speaker 2: it's like they fall in love with somebody and find
- 45:51Speaker 2: out they have a heart or an organ from their
- 45:54Speaker 2: loved one or something, so it can be done tastefully.
- 45:57Speaker 5: Oh you have this pancreas, yeah, like or.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Like a baboon heart, an untamed heart.
- 46:04Speaker 5: Right, Anyways, was that all for your villainy assessment?
- 46:09Speaker 1: Oh? Yeah, it was too easy. I mean I kind
- 46:11Speaker 1: have talked for six hours about what a bitch she
- 46:14Speaker 1: was in this episode. But also I think she's she
- 46:18Speaker 1: was either wearing cherries in the snow or this other
- 46:22Speaker 1: future I can't think of the name of it.
- 46:23Speaker 3: Lipstick who wow, Yeah, it was it was quite you
- 46:27Speaker 3: knew the name the color well, so cherries in the
- 46:31Speaker 3: snow is what Marilyn Monroe used to wear in the
- 46:33Speaker 3: fifties as her like more pinkish red.
- 46:36Speaker 1: But that formula changed somewhere around like the seventies or
- 46:39Speaker 1: eighties and it became very pink versus being more red
- 46:42Speaker 1: than pink. And that's kind of what that looked like.
- 46:45Speaker 5: You're more of a girl than I I had. I'm like,
- 46:48Speaker 5: I don't know, she's got shit on.
- 46:51Speaker 3: Now. I do have to say makeup history.
- 46:55Speaker 7: Yes, sorry, she's all cute and whatever I do have
- 46:59Speaker 7: to say in Dorothy defense, even though she was a
- 47:02Speaker 7: total be the whole episode, not believing Blanche calling her
- 47:05Speaker 7: wife as soon as she found out the truth.
- 47:07Speaker 2: Her first thing was I have to apologize to like
- 47:10Speaker 2: she owned up to it and went and ate her
- 47:13Speaker 2: humble pie, and so I had to.
- 47:19Speaker 4: I have to think about it.
- 47:19Speaker 2: Okay, I'm not about it.
- 47:22Speaker 3: I love you.
- 47:24Speaker 1: That was a very Gina moment from Blanche because the way.
- 47:28Speaker 3: She said it.
- 47:29Speaker 1: I've heard you say ship like that before. Okay, yeah,
- 47:35Speaker 1: now almost out of character for Blanche, Like yes, truly
- 47:40Speaker 1: because she anyway, this is a good episode had a
- 47:45Speaker 1: good one. Did you guys have a nice time listening?
- 47:48Speaker 2: Always?
- 47:49Speaker 3: No, she wasn't asking us, but I mean, of course
- 47:52Speaker 3: we had a great time. I'm sure our listeners always
- 47:57Speaker 3: have a great time.
