- 1:09the end of this month.
- 1:11So it'll be ready for some pre-releases
- 1:13in April and it will be ready for
- 1:15public release probably March, probably I'm going to
- 1:20say in probably sometime maybe April, sometime I

- 1:25All right, guys, it's great to be with
- 1:27you.
- 1:27Thank you so much for joining me here

- 1:37or thirsty, I have some RO water here.
- 1:40Feel free to go grab yourself some.
- 1:42Come on back.
- 1:43Maybe it's a snack.
- 1:43Maybe it's some pretzels.
- 1:44Maybe it's apples, wherever it is, feel free
- 1:47to grab that and come on back.
- 1:49All right, guys.
- 1:50All right, so let's kick this show off.
- 1:52Are you ready?
- 1:53I know I am.
- 1:54So this whole week, if you've been following
- 1:56me, we've been talking about owning your path,
- 1:59momentum, action, and of course, living deliberately, a
- 2:04very passionate life.
- 2:07So yeah, very interesting thing to talk about.
- 2:09Ladies and gentlemen, I'm your host.
- 2:10I'm John C.
- 2:11Morley.
- 2:11I'm a serial entrepreneur.
- 2:13I'm an engineer.
- 2:13I'm a marketing specialist.
- 2:14I'm a video producer, podcast host, coach, keynote
- 2:16speaker, graduate student, and a passionate lifelong learner.
- 2:20And pretty soon, guys, I will be a
- 2:22published author, and I'm really excited about that.
- 2:25So the master topic, building unstoppable momentum through
- 2:29consistent action, deliberate living, and intentional energy alignment,
- 2:34that's what this whole week has been about.
- 2:36So welcome, everyone, to the Inspirations for Your
- 2:38Life show.
- 2:39As I said, I'm John C.
- 2:40Morley.
- 2:41Today, I'm diving into momentum, action, and living
- 2:46deliberately, the tools, choices, and habits that perform
- 2:50ideas and transform them into real results.
- 2:55You'll learn how small intentional steps create compounding
- 2:58success, how avoiding distractions and forbidden shortcuts protect
- 3:03your focus, and why deliberate living multiplies the
- 3:08impact of every effort.
- 3:10All right, guys.
- 3:10Let's just kick it off.
- 3:12So our first point section is about viralness
- 3:15and the ability to understand momentum, action, and
- 3:19living deliberately, guys.
- 3:21Momentum is built through consistent action, not occasional
- 3:25bursts.
- 3:26Small steady efforts compound faster than sporadic sprints.
- 3:30I think a lot of people don't realize
- 3:31that, or people don't understand that, and it's
- 3:33not anything hard.
- 3:35It's just that people need to understand that
- 3:43we have power in our lives.
- 3:45We have power.
- 3:46And this power is something that a lot
- 3:51of people don't realize that we have, but
- 3:53we do have this power.
- 3:55I think that's an amazing thing.
- 3:57And action, ladies and gentlemen, transforms ideas into
- 4:02results.
- 4:04Without moving strategy, it's just theory, guys.
- 4:09But we have to take the action so
- 4:11we can get it to manifest what we
- 4:14want.
- 4:15All right?
- 4:16Living deliberately multiplies the effect of effort.
- 4:20Being intentional turns every step into progress.
- 4:25But some people, for whatever reason, they don't
- 4:27want to be intentional.
- 4:29Is it that they just don't want the
- 4:31work?
- 4:31No, I think the reason is they are
- 4:33scared, and it's uncomfortable, okay?
- 4:40If you don't understand that, then maybe you're
- 4:44not pushing yourself to the next level.
- 4:46Life has to be a little bit uncomfortable.
- 4:49I'm not saying it's got to be painful.
- 4:51I'm saying it's got to be a little
- 4:51uncomfortable so you can push yourself a little
- 4:53bit.
- 4:54Avoid forbidden shortcuts that give instant gratification, but
- 5:00block long-term progress.
- 5:04Quick wins often cost more in the long
- 5:08run.
- 5:08I think that's something that a lot of
- 5:09people, like, they don't understand that.
- 5:12Those quick runs really do cost more.
- 5:15Momentum increases with focus and energy alignment.
- 5:19Your energy follows attention.
- 5:22Use it wisely, guys, every single day.
- 5:25It helps you, and it helps others.
- 5:28Action creates clarity and direction.
- 5:33Doing helps you see what works and, guys,
- 5:38what doesn't work.
- 5:41Deliberate choices prevent reactive mistakes.
- 5:45I've talked about this before.
- 5:46If we are proactive, it's a lot easier
- 5:48to fix something and be ready than if
- 5:50we're reactive.
- 5:52That's, you know, that's like the bull in
- 5:54the china shop, right?
- 5:56Deliberate choices prevent reactive mistakes.
- 5:59We want to be proactive.
- 6:02Pause before responding.
- 6:04Your intentionality shows, guys.
- 6:06It really does.
- 6:08Small actions compound into massive outcomes.
- 6:11Micro habits today are milestones tomorrow.
- 6:16So, that small act that we started, whether
- 6:18it's drinking water, whether it's living in gratitude,
- 6:23it becomes part of us.
- 6:27It becomes part of us, and I think
- 6:29that's something that a lot of people, like,
- 6:31they don't realize, you know, like, what that
- 6:34is or why that is, all right?
- 6:37Micro habits today are the milestones of tomorrow.
- 6:43Avoid distractions that break the momentum.
- 6:48Digital noise and unnecessary inputs, you know what
- 6:51they do, guys?
- 6:52They steal your precious results.
- 6:56A lot of you put up with them
- 6:57because, oh, you know, it's just once, it's
- 6:59just this, it's just I don't care, I'm
- 7:01just going to be kind, but you're actually
- 7:03hurting yourself.
- 7:05Momentum, ladies and gentlemen, accelerates when routines are
- 7:10consistent.
- 7:11Discipline beats motivation every time because we can
- 7:17lose our motivation, but our discipline is something
- 7:23I feel that we have to keep strong.
- 7:29Action reinforces confidence in your abilities.
- 7:35Success breeds self-belief.
- 7:39That's a cool one, guys.
- 7:41Success breeds self-belief, and what we believe
- 7:45is what comes about, guys.
- 7:48That's an important, a very, very important thing
- 7:51that a lot of people, I think, miss,
- 7:52okay?
- 7:56So, moving on to the next point, which
- 7:59is an interesting one, and that is living
- 8:01deliberately reduces stress and uncertainty.
- 8:05Predictable habits calm the mind, okay?
- 8:11Living intentionally, living in the moment, being grateful.
- 8:19Avoid those forbidden paths that compromise your trajectory.
- 8:22Say no to shortcuts that dilute focus.
- 8:28See, momentum is maintained through resilience and follow
- 8:32-through.
- 8:33Bounce back, ladies and gentlemen, and stay committed.
- 8:37Don't just do it once.
- 8:38Make it a micro habit, and let that
- 8:40micro habit become a habit that you do
- 8:44every single day.
- 8:45Action, ladies and gentlemen, strengthens self-discipline and
- 8:52its focus.
- 8:53Every completed task reinforces your willpower.
- 9:00Some of it, a lot of people, like,
- 9:03they give up on because they think that
- 9:06what they did is not reversible, or they
- 9:10think that they don't really have what they
- 9:13need.
- 9:15Belief is really important, and when you have
- 9:19others around you, whether it's family, whether it's
- 9:21friends or colleagues, and they support you, that
- 9:28goes a long way.
- 9:30Deliberate living, guys, clarifies priorities, and know what
- 9:36matters, and align your energy together, guys.
- 9:41Align your energy together.
- 9:45Avoid shortcuts that undermine long-term goals.
- 9:51Quick fixes often cost your vision, and I
- 9:56don't mean your vision, the way you see.
- 9:58I mean your perception of reality.
- 10:03So reality, ladies and gentlemen, occurs because of
- 10:07your perception.
- 10:09Because of your perception, that's why we get
- 10:13reality.
- 10:14If you change your perspective, your reality actually
- 10:21changes, guys.
- 10:26Momentum produces belief in your vision.
- 10:33Momentum is not something we just do one
- 10:34day.
- 10:35Momentum is something we have to keep doing
- 10:36day in and day out, even when the
- 10:40grind gets tough.
- 10:42Results feed inspiration and consistency.
- 10:49Results feed inspiration and consistency equals results, which
- 10:58come from your core values.
- 11:00And your consistency comes from what?
- 11:03Your discipline.
- 11:05Your discipline.
- 11:08Action, ladies and gentlemen, ensures accountability for the
- 11:11results.
- 11:13Action.
- 11:16Action creates results.
- 11:21Doing what you say builds credibility.
- 11:26Now you'll find that if you do something
- 11:27once, it doesn't build the credibility right away.
- 11:31It takes time to keep going back over
- 11:34that.
- 11:36Living deliberately builds personal authority, guys.
- 11:40Integrity and action earns trust.
- 11:45But I want to tell you something.
- 11:47Integrity is not a quick win.
- 11:52It's not a quick fix.
- 11:54It's not a band-aid.
- 11:57Integrity is developed by who you are when
- 12:02no one's around.
- 12:04Of course, it gets built when people are
- 12:06around, but what you choose to elicit in
- 12:09people around comes from when you're alone, when
- 12:12no one else is watching.
- 12:15That's where your true integrity gets built.
- 12:18Not when you're on stage.
- 12:21Not when people see you and what you're
- 12:23doing.
- 12:23Of course, you're going to act good then,
- 12:25but it's what you do when you're alone
- 12:28that changes that trajectory.
- 12:31Integrity in action earns trust.
- 12:35So integrity, doing something good, and eliciting that
- 12:39action earns the trust, but not on the
- 12:41very first time.
- 12:43Avoid behaviors, guys, that drain the energy or
- 12:47focus that you have.
- 12:49So protect your mental and your emotional bandwidth.
- 12:52I know that sounds hard, but we have
- 12:55to conserve our mental power and our emotional
- 13:00power, our bandwidth.
- 13:02There's a limit to how much we can
- 13:05take in and give out.
- 13:07So we have to channel that properly.
- 13:09So protect your mental and your emotional bandwidth.
- 13:13Not just once.
- 13:14Do this daily.
- 13:17Momentum compounds as small wins accumulate.
- 13:21Celebrate progress to fuel further action.
- 13:27Celebrate progress to fuel further action.
- 13:35That's an interesting one.
- 13:38When we celebrate our progress, we're going to
- 13:40want to take future steps.
- 13:43Okay?
- 13:47Action, guys, aligns energy with values.
- 13:54And, of course, our objectives.
- 13:56Do what your goals demand, not what's convenient.
- 14:02You're looking to make sales?
- 14:05Don't do what's convenient, what's easy.
- 14:07Do what your goals need.
- 14:10You know, a wise person once told me,
- 14:11John, a long time ago, develop a system
- 14:14of something you do every day.
- 14:17Maybe you don't like the prospect.
- 14:20Maybe you don't like to get leads.
- 14:22But maybe if you did a process every
- 14:25day, and it was just a couple things,
- 14:26and you kept doing it over time, you
- 14:28know what happens?
- 14:31People will respond.
- 14:34Sales is a numbers game.
- 14:38When we realize that, and we take small
- 14:42actions every day, even if they're small, but
- 14:44they're consistent, we're eventually going to hit something
- 14:47positive.
- 14:49Do what your goals demand from you, not
- 14:53what it is that's convenient.
- 14:56Convenient is comfortable.
- 15:00Convenient doesn't rock the boat.
- 15:04Convenience is just living.
- 15:09It's not thriving.
- 15:10It's surviving.
- 15:12It's not thriving.
- 15:13Deliberate choices, guys, strengthen the identity that you
- 15:17have.
- 15:18Repetition, however, shapes character over time.
- 15:25Repetition shapes your character over time.
- 15:28And repetition, from when you're alone, starts to
- 15:35mold that ego, mold that character of yours.
- 15:44Avoid forbidden distractions that erode progress.
- 15:50So focus attention is your most valuable asset.
- 15:53Sometimes people say, oh, I'll give you a
- 15:55few minutes.
- 15:55And my question is, I'd rather have five
- 15:58minutes of your undivided attention than 30 or
- 16:0145 minutes of your divided attention.
- 16:07Because I know that if you're giving me
- 16:09undivided attention, if I have five or 10
- 16:11minutes, I'm going to get you paying attention.
- 16:16If I get divided attention, you might not
- 16:20even remember what I'm talking about.
- 16:22You might not even remember, I don't know,
- 16:24you might not even think that this is
- 16:28something you care about.
- 16:29But when you give me your undivided attention,
- 16:32that's priceless.
- 16:35Let's think about in terms of marketing, right?
- 16:38If there's a billboard, and there is, let's
- 16:41say, four spots on the billboard, and you're
- 16:46on one spot, all right, good.
- 16:51You're on two spots.
- 16:52You're probably going to come up more.
- 16:54But let's now say there were 50 ads
- 16:56on that bulletin board, and you were only
- 16:59on to like a digital sign.
- 17:00You were only on it once, right?
- 17:06Now, if we do the math on this,
- 17:08this is where it gets kind of, I'm
- 17:10going to say it gets kind of fun.
- 17:12So there's 50 ads, okay?
- 17:1650 ads on that bulletin board.
- 17:23In an hour, your ad is going to
- 17:26show 1.2 minutes, even if we rotate
- 17:34them around, right?
- 17:37Roughly 1.2. It's 1.2 minutes for
- 17:45every commercial in the hour of 50.
- 17:51Now, that would be giving us, that's if
- 17:54we give them each equal time.
- 17:55We could choose to play one five seconds,
- 17:5710 seconds, and everybody gets 10 seconds, right?
- 18:00But it's the 1.2 formula that gives
- 18:04you how long it's going to show.
- 18:06So let's say, for example, that now, I
- 18:09don't know, let's say, for example, that I
- 18:10took that, and 1.2, okay?
- 18:17And that's what it is, right?
- 18:20But if I said, for example, let's say
- 18:22that you had the 60, right?
- 18:27If you do that same thing, all right?
- 18:33And you said there's 50 ads.
- 18:35Now, let's say the 50 ads, but the
- 18:36thing you're realizing is that if I was
- 18:39in all 50 of the ads, I'd be
- 18:43playing all the time.
- 18:44If I was in 25 of the ads,
- 18:49my time would be different.
- 18:56Momentum transforms effort, guys, into pure confidence.
- 19:00Action eliminates self-doubt.
- 19:04A formula, a mindset, a process eliminates self
- 19:14-doubt in our lives and others.
- 19:16Action, guys, maintains forward movement during challenges.
- 19:22Progress, even in small increments, matters.
- 19:27You don't have to do a lot of
- 19:29things, guys.
- 19:30You really don't.
- 19:31What you do have to do is you
- 19:33have to do them consistently over time.
- 19:37Now, I don't mean you do something once
- 19:38and then you don't do it again for
- 19:40a while.
- 19:40You do it daily.
- 19:44You do it daily.
- 19:50And I think the consistency is what helps
- 19:52people to understand, okay?
- 20:02And I don't think a lot of people
- 20:03understand this.
- 20:06I don't think they understand why people are
- 20:11the way they are.
- 20:12But I'm going to tell you this.
- 20:15The reason people are the way they are,
- 20:19the reason why people don't want to make
- 20:22a small dent, because they figure it's not
- 20:25going to be amounting to a hill of
- 20:27beans.
- 20:31But if you looked at all those dents,
- 20:34and by dents, I don't mean dents in
- 20:35a car.
- 20:35I mean that you're taking some action.
- 20:40You could look at this after a certain
- 20:43period of time and say, wait a minute.
- 20:44I've got my numbers.
- 20:46I know what I did.
- 20:47I know what my response rate is.
- 20:50And when you do it as a mechanical
- 20:52thing, as a system, it's just something you
- 20:56do like brushing your teeth or walking.
- 20:59Guys, I want you to know living deliberately
- 21:02ensures meaningful impact in your life and also
- 21:05others.
- 21:06Align each step with your bigger vision.
- 21:10Avoid forbidden shortcuts that compromise integrity.
- 21:15Ethical alignment sustains long-term success, guys.
- 21:19Momentum, action, and deliberate living together create unstoppable
- 21:24success.
- 21:25When all three converge, nothing can stop you,
- 21:31nothing.
- 21:33But people get disillusioned.
- 21:39They get frustrated because of something they saw
- 21:44or something they felt, but it was a
- 21:49minor setback.
- 21:50It wasn't there to get you to give
- 21:52up, but people lose heart when they don't
- 21:57reach the top right away and they figure
- 21:58they're never going to reach the top.
- 22:01I got news for you.
- 22:03People like Einstein and Thomas Edison.
- 22:08Do you guys know how many times it
- 22:12took Thomas Edison to make the electric light
- 22:19bulbs?
- 22:20Anybody know?
- 22:21If you had to take a guess, it
- 22:23wasn't five, a thousand attempts.
- 22:31But you know what he said?
- 22:37999 ways that it would not work.
- 22:39Now, this is the analogy that's been used
- 22:41for years.
- 22:44But actually, we found that that number was
- 22:47actually wrong.
- 22:49It's the number everybody's been using for a
- 22:51while, but it's wrong.
- 22:54He failed 2,774 times before the 2
- 23:00,775th time actually worked.
- 23:07Each failure was seen as a step closer
- 23:09to finding a solution.
- 23:10Edison viewed his failures positively, considering them as
- 23:13eliminations of unsuccessful options.
- 23:17The mindset helped him persist through numerous challenges
- 23:21in his quest to invent a commercially viable
- 23:25light bulb.
- 23:26Now, while Edison is credited with the invention
- 23:28of the light bulb, he improved upon existing
- 23:31designs.
- 23:33His version was notable for lasting over 1
- 23:36,200 hours, making it practical for widespread use.
- 23:40That's pretty impressive, guys.
- 23:46Let me ask you something.
- 23:49Do you spend 999 times or ways before
- 23:56you give up?
- 23:57Most people give up in two or three
- 23:59times, maybe 10 times.
- 24:01But do you spend 2,774 times?
- 24:03Or 999 times?
- 24:07No.
- 24:10Is it because you're not committed?
- 24:13Bingo.
- 24:15Is it because you've gotten too emotionally overdrawn
- 24:18and burnt yourself out?
- 24:20Bingo.
- 24:21Yes.
- 24:22Those are the reasons, guys.
- 24:25But see, nobody ever wants to share the
- 24:28real reason why.
- 24:32Nobody wants to share the real reason why.
- 24:38Nobody wants to share it.
- 24:40And it's OK that they don't want to
- 24:43share it.
- 24:44But what I want you to know is
- 24:47you're missing a very big part of success
- 24:52if you give up the first time you've
- 24:56failed.
- 24:58You know, a wise person who I've gone
- 25:00to their sales training several times, Tom Hopkins,
- 25:04does a sales boot camp training.
- 25:07I'm not sure if he still does it.
- 25:09He does it in Arizona.
- 25:11It's the Tom Hopkins boot camp.
- 25:17And I don't know if he still does
- 25:20it or not.
- 25:27It's the Tom Hopkins Foundation.
- 25:32And he does different events.
- 25:37He speaks around the world.
- 25:42He does a cabin retreat event that he
- 25:46does.
- 25:50But I don't know if he still does,
- 25:53if Tom Hopkins still does, I think it
- 25:56was called sales boot camp.
- 26:01I don't know if he still does it
- 26:02or not.
- 26:06I'm guessing he doesn't do it in person
- 26:10anymore.
- 26:13He has published books.
- 26:16He has some techniques of what he's done.
- 26:19His published books lead him to Amazon.
- 26:22But it's funny, I don't think he does
- 26:27the actual boot camp training anymore.
- 26:37I don't think he does.
- 26:39So he did it in Scottsdale, Arizona.
- 26:42And it was a pretty amazing thing that
- 26:44he did because what he would do when
- 26:46you get there, he would go through these
- 26:48things.
- 26:48So one thing I was talking about, he
- 26:50has this thing about failure, which he teaches.
- 26:52So he says, one of the things he
- 26:53said about failure is he says, I never
- 26:54see failure as failure as only a way
- 26:57to practice my technique and perfect my performance.
- 27:01I never see failure as failure as an
- 27:05opportunity to laugh.
- 27:09I never see failure as failure, but only
- 27:12as an opportunity to win.
- 27:17I never see failure as failure.
- 27:22And so that's his whole modus, but it
- 27:25was different.
- 27:26When we went to the camp, you were
- 27:29given like fake money and people be quizzing
- 27:32you on these different techniques and you never
- 27:33could not play.
- 27:35It was like a whole week of this
- 27:36strategy.
- 27:38But I guess people don't want to spend
- 27:39the money to go down.
- 27:40It was a lot of fun.
- 27:41It was a very intense sales training.
- 27:43I said to people, if you don't make
- 27:44the sales training, well, you're fired.
- 27:47Because anybody that could get through that weekend,
- 27:50they're the kind of people I wanted on
