- 1:24Speaker 2: We can help you as a public service if you
- 1:26Speaker 2: know of a good way to do a cheap costume.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Serena, good morning.
- 1:30Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 1:31Speaker 1: What's a good, easy costume?
- 1:33Speaker 7: My costume I did a few years ago. I just
- 1:35Speaker 7: got a cardboard box and painted it brown, and I
- 1:39Speaker 7: was a one-night stand. One-night stand.
- 1:45Speaker 3: That's cute.
- 1:46Speaker 7: And I just put little things on it that, like,
- 1:48Speaker 7: would be on your nightstand. You know, a box of Kleenex,
- 1:51Speaker 7: a little cheapie alarm clock.
- 1:53Speaker 1: CPAP.
- 1:55Speaker 7: A thong underwear, a condom that looks huge.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Oh, hey, who puts that on their nightstand?
- 2:03Speaker 7: Hey, I put that on one nightstand, you did.
- 2:06Speaker 6: Well, to make garbage or toilets.
- 2:08Speaker 7: I love the funny words. lampshade on my head.
- 2:11Speaker 1: That's great. That's a good one.
- 2:14Speaker 7: And going with your L.A. League, I was this year,
- 2:17Speaker 7: I was thinking about being choosing Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Oh, that's good. That's good. That's good.
- 2:24Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Well, thank you, Serena. That's a great one. John, what's
- 2:28Speaker 2: a real cheap, easy costume you got, Jan?
- 2:29Speaker 8: Jan.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Jan.
- 2:33Speaker 5: Jan.
- 2:36Speaker 2: John?
- 2:37Speaker 1: Yes, John. Yes, John. Hello. I heard Ken.
- 2:40Speaker 6: Sorry.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Ken? Okay. Go ahead, but what's your cheap costume? Easy costume.
- 2:44Speaker 8: Oh, so, yeah, maybe like 2010.
- 2:45Speaker 7: You take two quarters, tape them in.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Your nipples, and you're 50 Cent.
- 2:50Speaker 6: Perfect.
- 2:52Speaker 1: How come you couldn't do that now? Why just 2010? Oh,
- 2:54Speaker 1: that's when I did it.
- 2:55Speaker 7: I'm sorry.
- 2:56Speaker 6: That's when you did it. Okay.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I did it in 2010. You're 50 Cent. Okay.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Thanks, John.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Kathy, you got a really good costume. Hi, what do
- 3:07Speaker 1: you got? Yes.
- 3:08Speaker 5: So Halloween stresses me out. I'm not creative. I can't
- 3:11Speaker 5: think of great ideas. So my husband's work shirt is
- 3:16Speaker 5: plain black, or it was, and they have their name
- 3:18Speaker 5: on it, and they have their store name on it,
- 3:20Speaker 5: and they just wear blue jeans as the bottom part
- 3:22Speaker 5: of their uniform. So I took one of his shirts,
- 3:25Speaker 5: put on my blue jeans, pulled my hair back into
- 3:27Speaker 5: a ponytail, and I was him for Halloween.
- 3:29Speaker 8: Ah.
- 3:30Speaker 1: And comfy.
- 3:30Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 3:31Speaker 6: You can go right in their closet. You already have
- 3:33Speaker 6: all of the materials.
- 3:35Speaker 7: Exactly.
- 3:35Speaker 1: That's good, Kathy. Thank you for sharing.
- 3:38Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 3:39Speaker 1: We got cheap, easy Halloween costume. We're looking for your ideas.
- 3:43Speaker 6: 877-937-1047.
- 3:43Speaker 1: We can get you Wicked Ball tickets, too, if you win. Christina.
- 3:48Speaker 6: Hello.
- 3:50Speaker 5: How are you?
- 3:50Speaker 1: Hi. You have a good, easy, cheap costume?
- 3:53Speaker 6: I do.
- 3:54Speaker 3: I'm actually just going as myself, which is a sad,
- 3:56Speaker 3: sad Los Angeles Chargers fan.
- 3:59Speaker 6: Oh, yeah. You've got it rough right now.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Yeah, but what's that?
- 4:05Speaker 6: I was going to say, they made a big deal.
- 4:07Speaker 8: Every time they'd come back from commercial when I was
- 4:10Speaker 8: watching the Chargers game, they'd say, no 0-5 team has
- 4:13Speaker 8: ever made the playoffs.
- 4:14Speaker 6: And now they're 0-6. I guess they're really in trouble.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I was going to say, I don't know anything about it.
- 4:18Speaker 1: They're just not doing well.
- 4:19Speaker 7: 0-6.
- 4:19Speaker 6: Winless.
- 4:19Speaker 5: Not at all.
- 4:23Speaker 3: So I'm going to just wear my Chargers fan gear
- 4:25Speaker 3: and have mascara running down my face. But at least
- 4:28Speaker 3: at the party, I can say, Lacey didn't lose last
- 4:30Speaker 3: weekend because they're on a.
- 4:31Speaker 6: Bye week this weekend. You can't beat us if we
- 4:34Speaker 6: don't play.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Correct.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Thanks, Christina. Thanks for calling in.
- 4:39Speaker 7: Thanks.
- 4:40Speaker 9: Bye-bye.
- 4:40Speaker 1: That's funny when you do that. Maggie, what's your costume idea?
- 4:47Speaker 7: Hi.
- 4:47Speaker 10: My costume idea is to do like a tinfoil hat
- 4:51Speaker 10: from the movie Signs.
- 4:53Speaker 1: That's so random. So random.
- 4:56Speaker 6: I mean, have you done it? It is. Did anybody
- 4:58Speaker 6: get it without you having to explain it?
- 5:01Speaker 7: You know what?
- 5:01Speaker 10: I haven't done it. I did think about it because
- 5:04Speaker 10: at my work, we're going to dress up every single day.
- 5:07Speaker 10: And for one of mine, I'm wearing like a pet
- 5:08Speaker 10: cemetery thing.
- 5:10Speaker 5: And I'm like, you know what?
- 5:11Speaker 9: I could do signs instead.
- 5:13Speaker 5: But I'm like, you know what?
- 5:13Speaker 7: We're just going to do.
- 5:15Speaker 9: Pet Sematary. I kind of feel like if you did that,
- 5:17Speaker 9: you could either be the character from Signs or you
- 5:21Speaker 9: could be a conspiracy theorist.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:23Speaker 6: That's what they say, the tinfoil hat. So that would
- 5:25Speaker 6: work for both of us.
- 5:26Speaker 10: And bonus points, too, would be like if you had
- 5:28Speaker 10: a baby monitor with you because you know how they
- 5:30Speaker 10: pick up the clicking in the movie?
- 5:32Speaker 9: Oh, yeah.
- 5:34Speaker 6: Why are we talking about that movie like it just
- 5:35Speaker 6: came out? Costumes are all about the accessories.
- 5:38Speaker 10: It's one of my comfort movies.
- 5:39Speaker 5: I love it so much.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 5:40Speaker 1: All right.
- 5:41Speaker 6: Then I'll give you a break on that.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Thanks, Maggie. Easy costumes. You're in a bind. Halloween's like
- 5:47Speaker 1: 10 days away. Something like that, right? Nine days away. Anyway,
- 5:50Speaker 1: I don't know when is Halloween. This year it's on
- 5:52Speaker 1: the 31st, I think.
- 5:53Speaker 9: I think it's eight days away because it's Saturday.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Megan, good morning.
- 5:59Speaker 7: Morning.
- 5:59Speaker 1: What's an easy costume to do?
- 6:03Speaker 9: So I got like an old company shirt from where
- 6:07Speaker 9: I worked at.
- 6:07Speaker 5: And I like put holes in it and I kind
- 6:09Speaker 5: of burnt.
- 6:09Speaker 9: It up with like a lighter so that I like
- 6:12Speaker 9: lighter like smoke stains on it and i put sit
- 6:15Speaker 9: on my face kind of fries on my hair a
- 6:16Speaker 9: little bit and i was burnt.
- 6:18Speaker 8: Out that's fun so it's like a good one it's
- 6:23Speaker 8: like a political message as long as well as.
- 6:26Speaker 2: A yes thanks man exactly social statement sarah what do
- 6:32Speaker 2: you have as far as an easy costume.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Goes good morning And you crack me up, this year it's.
- 6:38Speaker 9: On the 31st.
- 6:38Speaker 3: It's always on the 31st, Johnny. Ah, you got that one, Sarah.
- 6:41Speaker 6: You got that one.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I slid that in. I slid that in, Sarah. I
- 6:44Speaker 1: slid it in.
- 6:46Speaker 3: You did.
- 6:46Speaker 1: You did.
- 6:47Speaker 5: You slid it in real slick.
- 6:48Speaker 3: And I was like, wait a minute. No, my easy
- 6:52Speaker 3: costume I did one year for my son was a
- 6:54Speaker 3: Rubik's Cube. I just took a box and some black
- 6:57Speaker 3: tape and construction paper and.
- 6:59Speaker 9: Bam, he was a Rubik's Cube.
- 7:00Speaker 6: That's easy.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Sounds easy.
- 7:02Speaker 3: It was so simple.
- 7:03Speaker 6: I mean, it sounds crafty. It was simple, but definitely
- 7:06Speaker 6: probably took a lot of time. Yeah, you got to
- 7:08Speaker 6: do all the cuts.
- 7:08Speaker 3: No, we didn't. No, you just used the construction, the
- 7:12Speaker 3: tape between the pieces of the construction paper.
- 7:15Speaker 6: And, I mean, you cut two holes.
- 7:17Speaker 3: You know, the hole in the head and the one
- 7:19Speaker 3: for the arms, and you're good to go.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Well, that's good. That's good, Sarah. Thank you.
- 7:25Speaker 3: You're welcome.
- 7:25Speaker 9: Have a great day.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Tiffany, hello.
- 7:27Speaker 7: Hello. Good morning, guys.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 7:31Speaker 5: Okay, so I have a super easy costume, khaki pants,
- 7:36Speaker 5: plaid button-up shirt, and a box of chocolates to be
- 7:39Speaker 5: Forrest Gump.
- 7:40Speaker 6: Perfect.
- 7:43Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 9: And then, better yet, I mean, if you have access
- 7:46Speaker 9: to a men's closet, of course, tie a tie around
- 7:51Speaker 9: a woman's head, and she can be Jenna.
- 7:53Speaker 6: Jenna.
- 7:55Speaker 8: Jenna, I totally read your discreet wrong here. I thought
- 7:58Speaker 8: you were going to say your same uniform and then
- 8:00Speaker 8: like a orange skin and a wig and you could
- 8:02Speaker 8: be Forrest Trump.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Oh.
- 8:06Speaker 6: Mix it up a little bit. That's where I thought
- 8:08Speaker 6: you were going.
- 8:08Speaker 7: Thank you, Tiffany.
- 8:10Speaker 5: No, but just get a box of chocolates.
- 8:12Speaker 1: That's good. You're right. That's good. Carly, what do you got?
- 8:15Speaker 1: What's your Halloween idea that's easy to do?
- 8:20Speaker 9: It's white trash. So you just get a trash bag
- 8:22Speaker 9: and cut. arm and leg holes in it and then
- 8:25Speaker 9: step inside of it and voila, you're white trash.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Thank you, Carly. Brad, what do you got? Good morning.
- 8:36Speaker 8: I don't know if you remember Joanna from the High
- 8:38Speaker 8: Rocks CrossFit recently. You could just wear your workout outfit
- 8:43Speaker 8: and put some chocolate pudding on your pants, legs.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Oh, the lady that did that.
- 8:48Speaker 6: Yeah, the one that had the accident. The lady that
- 8:51Speaker 6: pooped herself?
- 8:51Speaker 1: Yeah, and then she kept going.
- 8:53Speaker 6: Yeah, that was brutal.
- 8:55Speaker 1: I didn't know her name, Joanna.
- 8:57Speaker 7: I don't either.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Way to go, man.
- 8:59Speaker 5: We know now.
- 9:00Speaker 6: What a great uniform. Very clever.
- 9:02Speaker 1: But you have to explain that to everybody. You know,
- 9:04Speaker 1: you pooped your pants. No, no, no, I'm Joanna. Yeah. Thanks, Brad.
- 9:13Speaker 1: That's so random. Shantice, good morning.
- 9:17Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 9:18Speaker 1: What's your cheap, easy Halloween costume?
- 9:22Speaker 3: I was a serial killer last year.
- 9:24Speaker 9: I took a white.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Shirt and put serial boxes on it.
- 9:27Speaker 7: And cut them up with knives and then put fake
- 9:29Speaker 7: blood all over it.
- 9:30Speaker 6: Serial killer.
- 9:32Speaker 1: That's good. That's a good one. That's good. Thanks, Shantice.
- 9:35Speaker 1: That's a good one.
- 9:36Speaker 2: My favorite so far is my dad's. Every year, my
- 9:39Speaker 2: dad would go as the Invisible Man. He would just
- 9:41Speaker 2: say he was there.
- 9:44Speaker 1: That's totally something.
- 9:46Speaker 8: You would do. The apple doesn't fall far from that tree.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I had a great time. It was great. What do
- 9:51Speaker 1: you mean? I was invisible. You didn't see me?
- 9:53Speaker 8: I will find the pictures. I don't know if you, Kyle,
- 9:55Speaker 8: and John, do you remember my favorite made-up costume. I
- 9:57Speaker 8: don't know what we did that year as far as
- 9:59Speaker 8: the theme. but I just got a jacket and glued
- 10:02Speaker 8: some Barbie dolls to it, and I was.
- 10:03Speaker 6: A chick magnet. Do you remember that one? I don't
- 10:05Speaker 6: remember that one. I have to find the picture. It
- 10:07Speaker 6: comes up on my time hop.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I found an old Halloween picture of my sister and
- 10:12Speaker 2: I in Tucson, and we were pretty low-income people. And
- 10:16Speaker 2: all it is is like an apron. You know, when
- 10:19Speaker 2: you're a kid, the stuff that you put on.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Is that an apron? You don't spill something on it?
- 10:23Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 10:23Speaker 6: Sure. Or a bib.
- 10:25Speaker 1: It's a bib with a clown face on it. That's scary. Yeah,
- 10:29Speaker 1: but that's like.
- 10:30Speaker 6: That was the costume?
- 10:31Speaker 1: That was our costume.
- 10:32Speaker 9: Okay.
- 10:33Speaker 1: We're a clown.
- 10:35Speaker 6: With a bib.
- 10:36Speaker 1: It's really.
- 10:37Speaker 6: I mean, as long as you're dressed a little something normal.
- 10:39Speaker 6: I think it's a costume. Sometimes I think the homemade
- 10:41Speaker 6: costumes are better than the ones you buy. All the time.
- 10:44Speaker 2: I went to a Halloween costume party one time and
- 10:47Speaker 2: I didn't want to go and I was able to
- 10:48Speaker 2: work in advance and I got a t-shirt, a white
- 10:51Speaker 2: t-shirt and it said superhero on it. And then my
- 10:55Speaker 2: wife said superhero's wife.
- 10:59Speaker 1: I have pictures of that somewhere.
