- 0:00Have you ever thought about what you want to be when you grow up?
- 0:03Some kids want to be doctors. Others want to be firemen or
- 0:07police officers. But what about right now?
- 0:10Today, while you're still a kid? What kind of a person do you
- 0:14want to be? God put his nature inside of us.
- 0:18That means that he gives us the desire to help other people.
- 0:22Enjoy our story? If I want to be a hero, do I
- 0:29have to wear a Cape? Do I have to fly high in the sky
- 0:33or get captured and escape? Do I have to hunt for bad guys
- 0:38and take them straight to jail? Is there something else that
- 0:41heroes do that I could do as well?
- 0:45I want to be a hero so that I could save the world.
- 0:49I want to be a hero that helps every boy and girl.
- 0:53Whenever there's trouble, I want to save the day.
- 0:57Whenever there's a problem, I want to like the way.
- 1:01Would that make me a hero, 'cause that's what I want to be.
- 1:05I want to be a hero and help others just like me.
- 1:09Whenever someone's lost, I would help them to get saved.
- 1:14Whenever someone's frightened, I would help them to be brave.
- 1:18Whenever someone falls behind, I would help pick up their pace.
- 1:23Whenever someone loses, I would help start a new.
- 1:27Race. Whenever someone has a need,
- 1:30I'll help to make their day. Whenever someone has a hurt,
- 1:34I'll help it go away. Whenever someone's crying, I'd
- 1:39help wipe away their tears. Whenever someone's all alone,
- 1:44I'd help chase away their fears. Whenever there's a bully, I
- 1:49would stand up for the week. Whenever someone's different, I
- 1:53would be the friend they seek. Whenever someone's sad, I would
- 1:57help to make them smile. Whenever there's a job to do,
- 2:02I'd go the extra mile. If you're sick, I will pray.
- 2:07If you're scared, I will stay. If you're hurt, I will care.
- 2:13If you're lost, I'll be there. When you play, I'll play too.
- 2:18When you cry, I'll cry with you. When you win, I'll be glad.
- 2:24When you lose, I'll be sad. Would that make me a hero?
- 2:28Because that's what I want to be.
- 2:31I'll get it done. I have God's son.
- 2:34He's. Living.
- 2:35Inside me. This story is about how people
- 2:41tend to act like those around them.
- 2:44It's called peer pressure. When we get around people who
- 2:47act bad, we can get pulled into acting bad too.
- 2:50That's why it's important to choose good friends.
- 2:53When you have Jesus living inside of you, you can choose,
- 2:56like the boy in our story, to put on your Superman.
- 2:59Ephesians 51 calls it acting like God.
- 3:03As Christians, we're supposed to put on our Superman every day.
- 3:07How? Just get up in the morning, talk
- 3:10to God, and decide you're going to act like him today.
- 3:14Hopefully it will become a habit that we call walking with God or
- 3:18walking in the Spirit, according to Galatians 524.
- 3:23Enjoy our story? One summer day, with the sun
- 3:30shining bright, Wildwater Park was a place for delight, with
- 3:34watery stream shooting up from the ground as Shiloh and Avi
- 3:38danced all around, just like many children playing that day,
- 3:42while mommies all watched a safe distance away.
- 3:47Then all of a sudden, from out of the blue, came a terrible
- 3:50screech. Oh, what should we?
- 3:55Do Shiloh and Avi knew the best place to be was right next to
- 3:59mommy, so they ran there quickly.
- 4:03The children and mommies were looking around to see who could
- 4:06make such a horrible sound. Two wild creatures burst out
- 4:11through the trees with a roar. In the ground.
- 4:14They ran like a breeze. They tipped over strollers and
- 4:18threw stuff in the air, Bottles and towels in an old teddy bear
- 4:23hobby, as Shiloh did. They escape from the zoo.
- 4:27Are they monsters or villains? What are they here to do?
- 4:32Shiloh kept watching and soon realized they're not monsters or
- 4:36villains. Obvi open your eyes.
- 4:39Look, they're just boys that behave really bad.
- 4:43They embarrass their mother and frustrate their dad.
- 4:48Shiloh and Obvi watched with Mom by their side as the bad acting
- 4:52boys made kids run and hide. They pushed a girl, knocking her
- 4:56to the ground and they just kept on running wildly around.
- 5:01No, excuse me, I'm sorry. I hope you're OK.
- 5:05Those are things only polite kids would say.
- 5:09Those bad acting boys acted bad as they could, splashing and
- 5:13splattering where anyone stood. Angry mommies searched to find
- 5:18who brought these two. Where's their parent?
- 5:21That tells them what good kids should do.
- 5:24While mommies kept watching, kids started to play.
- 5:27Shiloh and Abby also ventured away.
- 5:31And so while they played and tried to have fun, Shiloh kept
- 5:35watching those bad acting ones. And didn't something happen,
- 5:42Something not good? A thought came to Shiloh to act
- 5:46bad as he could. It popped in his head like a
- 5:50wild water spout. It popped up inside and it
- 5:53wouldn't go out. He started to think that those
- 5:56bad boys were cool, even though they were acting like they were
- 6:00fools. Shiloh thought was if he acted
- 6:04like them, there'd be a chance that they would like him, that
- 6:09he'd have more fun by behaving bad and no one would stop him.
- 6:14Not mom and not Dad. And as fast as he joined those
- 6:18bad acting boys, he was splashing small kids and taking
- 6:22their toys. So Avi ran, yelling.
- 6:26Mommy, come quick. Something's wrong with Shiloh.
- 6:29He might be sick. He's acting real crazy, like
- 6:33he's full of hate. Quick Mommy, do something before
- 6:37it's too late. And so Mommy changed right
- 6:41before Avi's eyes, Super Mom stood up, much to Avi surprise,
- 6:48and music from heaven started to play.
- 6:51Or was it moms? iPhone, I can't really say.
- 6:54But all through the park, praise music was heard.
- 6:57Praise steals the enemy and our hearts are stirred.
- 7:02It made Mommy stronger than often a dash with her.
- 7:05Fiery red hair. Blazing streaks like a flash,
- 7:09she stopped in an instant, looking at Shiloh without even
- 7:13thinking. Just like a hero.
- 7:15She pointed at Shiloh. Shiloh, stop.
- 7:17She did say. You're not a wild creature.
- 7:20You stop acting that way. Jesus lives in you and he makes
- 7:23you strong. You have self-control.
- 7:26You don't have to act wrong. And right in that instant,
- 7:30Shiloh started to smile as he quickly remembered that he was
- 7:34God's child and the fruit of the Spirit.
- 7:37It started to flow like Lovejoy and Peace.
- 7:40All the good stuff, you know. Mom, you look pretty.
- 7:44Shiloh said, full of cheer, and Avi was smiling as she proudly
- 7:48stood near. Shiloh.
- 7:50Said Mommy. Don't ever forget you are gentle
- 7:53and kind and you're obedient even when I'm not near.
- 7:56You just have to be strong, keep doing things right and don't do
- 8:00things wrong. Be the hero that God wants you
- 8:03to be. You can be super too,
- 8:06definitely. And then Super Shiloh burst into
- 8:09view. He returned all the toys and
- 8:12apologized too. And he started acting like he
- 8:15knew he should. Acting like Jesus, always doing
- 8:19good. Now he prays for others wherever
- 8:23they go. And thoughts to act bad.
- 8:26Well, he just says no. I have the subject in view.
- 8:45Move in Agent J. Move in Mr. Smith.
- 8:51Oh, yes. Mr. Smith, I am a CIA agent.
- 8:55Christians in action. With your permission, I would
- 8:57like to pray for you. Sure, go ahead.
- 9:01I'll do anything to get rid of this cough.
- 9:04I declare that Mr. Smith is healed by Jesus stripes and he
- 9:08lives in divine health in Jesus name.
- 9:12Wow, I feel better. Mission accomplished.
- 9:16The subject has received his healing.
- 9:19Good work, Julie. Stand down and await your next
- 9:21mission. 10-4, Commander. Oh, Julie, thanks for praying
- 9:27for me. Just doing my job, Mr. Smith.
- 9:29Glad I could be of service. What exactly is your job, Julie?
- 9:34I mean, I've known you your whole life.
- 9:36You live next door to me. You've grown up in church, but
- 9:39what's with the sunglasses and walkie-talkie and all the
- 9:42ghetto? It's standard CIA issued gear.
- 9:45And what's this CIA business about?
- 9:48It's a club I started with my friend Kyle.
- 9:51We call it Christians in Action. We're doing the works of Jesus
- 9:55like John 1412 says. You know, like laying hands on
- 9:59the six so that they can get well.
- 10:01Well, that beats spending all your time playing video games.
- 10:05Yes, Sir. So how did you know I was
- 10:08fighting a cough? I saw you coughing, so I filed a
- 10:11report with Agent Kate. Oh, Kyle.
- 10:14Well, tell Kyle thanks. You don't mind me asking, what
- 10:20other cases have you worked on? Well, I prayed for my little
- 10:23brother last night at bedtime. He's been having nightmares
- 10:26lately. And how did he sleep last night?
- 10:29Fine, He didn't wake up crying at all.
- 10:32Agent J, do you read me? Come in, Agent J.
- 10:36Agent J That's me. J is short for Truly I.
- 10:40Figured that. Go ahead, Kyle.
- 10:42I mean agent. K, Agent J, your mom called.
- 10:45She needs you at home. Oh no, I don't want to go home
- 10:49yet. Get a hold of yourself, Agent J.
- 10:53May I remind you of Ephesians 6. One children, obey your parents
- 10:57in the Lord. I'm sorry.
- 10:59Our Agent K mission accepted. I'll report in when Target is in
- 11:03view. Over and out.
- 11:04I have to go, Mr. Smith. I have another mission.
- 11:08Get to it, Agent J, and keep up the good work.
- 11:13Jesus said in John chapter 14, verses 12 through 14 that those
- 11:17who believe in Jesus would do the same works that he did by
- 11:21doing them in Jesus name as his representative.
- 11:24If we ask anything in Jesus name, he will do it so that
- 11:28people will be blessed and God will be glorified.
- 11:32So when we pray, let's believe that God will answer.
- 11:48OK, Cindy, Lou, let's sit down here for a minute.
- 11:53Excuse me, Mr., What you doing? I'm reading the.
- 11:59Paper little girl. My name is not little Girl.
- 12:02Oh really? My mommy calls me Cindy Lou, but
- 12:06that's not my real name. That's nice.
- 12:10Don't you want to know my really real name?
- 12:14Oh, oh, all right. My really real name is Cynthia
- 12:19Louise. That's nice.
- 12:22Mr. Now what? You can call me Cindy Lou.
- 12:27Is anyone sitting here? Do you see anyone sitting there?
- 12:32Nope. Then go ahead.
- 12:35Mr. Thank you. You're you're welcome.
- 12:42Jesus loves me. This I know, for the Bible tells
- 12:47me so little ones too hand me long.
- 12:53They are weak, but he is strong. Mr. has something wrong.
- 12:59I I know that song. My mother used to sing that to
- 13:03me when I was a little boy. You used to be a little boy.
- 13:09Yeah, a long time ago. Did you have Jesus in your heart
- 13:14when you are a little boy? Yeah.
- 13:16I went to church, if that's what you mean.
- 13:18Church is good, but did you ever pray and ask Jesus to come into
- 13:24your heart? No, I don't guess so.
- 13:28Don't you want to go to heaven, Mr. Well of.
- 13:31Course I do. Who doesn't?
- 13:33You can't go to heaven if you don't ask Jesus in your heart.
- 13:38I could pray for you to get Jesus in your heart.
- 13:42And that's OK. Thanks anyway.
- 13:44Why don't you want to ask Jesus in your heart?
- 13:47I can't. Why can't you?
- 13:50Because. Because why?
- 13:52Well, lots of reasons. A smoke, a drink, a cuss.
- 13:58I'm just too bad to be a Christian.
- 14:01I would have to stop doing all those bad things first.
- 14:05Mr. I got good news for you. What's that, Cindy Lou?
- 14:10Jesus already died for all those bad things.
- 14:14No one is too bad to be a Christian.
- 14:17When Jesus comes in your heart, he makes you brand new inside.
- 14:20He will help you stop doing those bad things.
- 14:24How do you know so much? I'm ambassador.
- 14:28That's Ambassador Cindy Lou. Mr. I bet if your mommy was here
- 14:34right now, she was saying Jesus loves you.
- 14:38You're a pretty good ambassador, Cindy.
- 14:40Lou. Would would you?
- 14:43Pray for me. Sure, Mr. Dear God, you're
- 14:50supposed to repay it after me. Oh, OK dear God.
- 14:57Thanks for sending Jesus. Thanks for sending Jesus.
- 15:02To die for my sins. To die for my sins.
- 15:06Jesus, I make you the boss of my life.
- 15:10Jesus, I make you the boss of my life.
- 15:14Amen. Amen.
- 15:18Thank you, Cindy Lou. You have made an old man very
- 15:22happy. Not me.
- 15:24It was Jesus. Yes, but today.
- 15:28Jesus looks a. Lot like a little girl named
- 15:31Cindy Lou. I have to go now And thanks
- 15:36again. Bye, Mr. Oh, Cindy Lou, I'm so
- 15:42proud of you. You helped that man receive
- 15:46Jesus as his savior. It's 'cause what you.
- 15:48Taught me what? Was that you told me?
- 15:52God wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth
- 15:55first. Timothy 24.
- 15:58That's. Right.
- 15:59Look, there's a lady sitting all by herself.
- 16:03Let's tell her about Jesus. Let's go.
- 16:07God has important things that he needs everyone to do, and he
- 16:11doesn't think that you're too young.
- 16:13There are people all around us who don't understand the truth
- 16:16about how good God is and how much he loves each person.
- 16:21And since those people don't know the truth, they haven't
- 16:23received Jesus as their savior yet.
- 16:26First, Timothy 24 says that God wants everyone to be saved and
- 16:30to understand the truth. If you are willing to let God
- 16:34work through you, he will help you do things like praying with
- 16:37someone to receive Jesus. Special thanks to Sophia and
- 16:46Caleb Webb, Shiloh and Avianna Coulson and Ethan Webb.
