$2000 silver absolutely cannot be ruled out, and we're going
• 0:05
  to. Talk about the hard.
• 0:07
Statistics in this video. That show us why.
• 0:11
But we're going to talk about a bunch of other big reasons why,
• 0:14
even on a day like today when the silver price is temporarily
• 0:18
  getting clobbered. The gold.
• 0:20
  Price temporarily getting clobbered.
• 0:22
We've got. All the factors in place for
• 0:25
continued strength in the precious metals.
• 0:27
Prices, we're going to cover all those as.
• 0:30
Well, and we've got the secret Trump factor.
• 0:33
I'm going to share something with you.
• 0:35
  At. The end of the.
• 0:35
Video that I. Think indicates to us that we
• 0:38
could be in, not just for six months, not just a year.
• 0:41
We're talking a decade or longer.
• 0:44
Of solid support. For the precious metals.
• 0:46
Prices thank you for. Joining me here in the basement,
• 0:49
  you. Choose to be here.
• 0:50
I respect that it's a big deal that you are here.
• 0:53
We are basement dwellers. We love to talk about.
• 0:56
Silver and Gold, please subscribe to the channel.
• 1:00
  The. Video a thumbs up.
• 1:01
If you don't agree with me, leave it in the comments
• 1:03
section. I love to read your comments,
• 1:05
but let's dig in and talk about what's happening today in the
• 1:09
silver and gold markets. We're going to take a look at
• 1:11
the chart and then we're going to dig into more.
• 1:13
Detail about reasons why we need to be.
• 1:16
Optimistic. About the future of Precious.
• 1:19
  Metals. Let's.
• 1:20
Make sure we are live here. Hopefully everybody can see me
• 1:23
and hear me. We're looking at the.
• 1:25
Gold Chart. This is a 1.
• 1:27
Year chart of the price of gold and what it shows us guys.
• 1:34
I know today is. Horrible right here we're.
• 1:37
Down. See if we can get the crayons to
• 1:40
  come up. There we go.
• 1:41
We're down $45.00 an ounce on the gold.
• 1:43
Price, but if you look. Way back here, remember what you
• 1:46
were doing one year ago? Well, whatever you were doing
• 1:49
one year ago. The gold price.
• 1:52
  Was about 1000. Dollars less.
• 1:55
Than it is today so when we. Look at this chart.
• 1:58
I want to point something out to you from.
• 2:00
About, oh, let's say mid-april through today.
• 2:07
Do you see? This massive consolidation
• 2:10
that's occurred within the gold price, now we know the gold.
• 2:13
Price right up has. Major impact on the.
• 2:16
Silver price as well, but when we.
• 2:18
Focus in on. Gold we've got what?
• 2:20
Almost three months of really solid consolidation within this
• 2:25
  range. So we're not.
• 2:27
Going to get worried about gold. Unless it gets down around in
• 2:32
this range here, if it goes down below 3150, we might, might
• 2:35
start to get a little concerned. But again, I want you to focus
• 2:38
this on one year, one year. Ago we were down.
• 2:42
  Here in the basement? Absolutely.
• 2:44
Talking about our love. For the precious.
• 2:47
Metals, sorry guys, we're. Having some technical issues.
• 2:50
Today we had the gold price at $1000 less.
• 2:53
Let's look at silver, the favorite of.
• 2:55
  Many of us. Oh boy.
• 2:58
There's a one day chart of silver in the futures market,
• 3:01
  down $0.70. But again.
• 3:04
Let's look at a year. And then let's look.
• 3:06
  OK. So one year.
• 3:07
Ago today. We were sitting with silver a
• 3:11
full $10 lower than where we are right now.
• 3:16
OK, So let's remember that when we look at, you know, when we go
• 3:19
through days, we're going to have down days, right?
• 3:22
Look. Look at this chart over the.
• 3:23
Last year. Oh my gosh, look.
• 3:25
At this absolute horrible day we're have.
• 3:29
Hold on here. Let's get that out of the way.
• 3:37
Oh, there we go. OK, now, now.
• 3:40
Let's look at this. OK, one year ago today, $10 less
• 3:45
  per oz. Look at.
• 3:46
Look. At this I know it, you know.
• 3:48
It may feel bad today get that is a.
• 3:51
Blip. When you look at this on a long
• 3:53
term basis, now what we want to look.
• 3:55
At since we love to follow the silver price so closely, is a
• 3:59
  six. Month chart and some.
• 4:01
Key areas that we're. Going to be keeping an eye on.
• 4:04
OK, so on the six month chart. Guys, we've got some critical
• 4:08
  levels. Oops.
• 4:10
Hold on here. Wow, the technology is not
• 4:18
  cooperating. Today, here we go.
• 4:21
All right, now we've got it on the six month chart.
• 4:26
We can look right about here. I mean really we can draw a line
• 4:32
in the futures market right around the $36 range, OK.
• 4:37
So remember that we tried multiple times to get.
• 4:40
Up above this level, we got up. There and again, we've got
• 4:44
another. Level Oh, let's say close to
• 4:47
  where? We are now.
• 4:48
That's pretty. Critical for us to hold if we
• 4:50
  break. Down.
• 4:52
Below where we are. Now we may in the futures market
• 4:56
get down here. To the 36 range about right here
• 5:00
if we get below 36. In the futures market and that's
• 5:03
2 1/2 dollars lower than where we are now.
• 5:06
We could go back, you know, into the low 30s.
• 5:09
  I don't think it's going to happen.
• 5:11
OK, We got so many. Factors that are just.
• 5:14
Supporting right now a much more robust hold on here.
• 5:21
Silver price The silver lease rates are exploding.
• 5:24
  Number one. The SLVET.
• 5:27
F is still like not available for shorting last that I heard
• 5:31
and if there are any shares available.
• 5:34
In the SLVETF to short. They are limited at.
• 5:37
Best. On top of that, the comics,
• 5:42
  we're changing. Big announcement.
• 5:43
We're going to change the name of the Comex to the comics, The
• 5:47
comics and the LBMA. There are historic levels of of
• 5:54
  of. Disassociation between those
• 5:56
markets right now, inventory. Levels the relationships that
• 6:00
have that have. Held on for decades and decades.
• 6:04
Are so far out of whack. Right now.
• 6:06
There are people out there, you know we.
• 6:08
Could dive into this for the next.
• 6:09
Two hours. There are people out there.
• 6:11
Who are more knowledgeable on that subject than I am.
• 6:15
I listen to them and everything they point out.
• 6:17
Is that we've got. Dislocations in the paper
• 6:21
  electronic market for. Silver.
• 6:24
  So it's 30. 9 Let's talk about $2000.
• 6:26
  Silver is $39. Silver.
• 6:28
Is $38 silver a bubble? Are you kidding us?
• 6:32
  Right? Are you?
• 6:33
  Kidding us. Look back.
• 6:35
At 1980. OK, think about this.
• 6:37
We hit 50. Dollars per oz in 1980.
• 6:41
OK, When we, when we. Adjust that price for today's.
• 6:45
Dollars. You hear numbers like 150 a $186
• 6:49
per oz. How about $1999 per oz?
• 6:55
And how about that being based on math?
• 6:57
Let's go out here. Was Mike Maloney who initially
• 7:00
  pointed this? Out but.
• 7:02
I want to take. You out to this?
• 7:05
Tweet that came out. Over the week.
• 7:07
Or yesterday from Make Gold Great.
• 7:09
The all time high price of silver using pre 1982 CPI
• 7:15
methodology is $1999. Calculations, calculations and
• 7:23
  chart from mikemaloney@goldandsilver.com
• 7:26
  and shadow stats. Of the.
• 7:28
Videos and the comments let me show.
• 7:29
You this video I watched it this.
• 7:31
  Morning. It's called the Silver
• 7:33
Awakening. 8 factors to drive it higher.
• 7:36
By Mike Maloney It's a great. Video.
• 7:38
He's been in the silver and gold market for years and years, but
• 7:41
essentially guys when we look. At this chart.
• 7:44
OK, that. Shows the 1980 high of silver.
• 7:49
Let's get our markers out here. OK, 1980 down here on the.
• 7:54
Bottom $50 silver. All right, the green line shows
• 7:59
the CPI number they. Call it the CPI.
• 8:02
Again, this chart was from Mike Maloney.
• 8:04
Great. Chart which says if you use the.
• 8:07
Current government methodology for calculating inflation in
• 8:12
today's. Dollars we the silver price if
• 8:15
we hit 50 would be two. 107. Dollars per oz, however.
• 8:20
If you rely on shadow stats and you use the pre 1982
• 8:26
  methodology. For.
• 8:27
  Calculating inflation. Oh my.
• 8:30
Gosh, a $50 silver price today. Would be $1999.
• 8:38
Do you believe it? How do you?
• 8:40
How do you feel about that? I'll ask you that.
• 8:42
Question. I've sat down here many times
• 8:44
and said we. Could see silver prices.
• 8:47
That we cannot even imagine but. Wait, guys, I have.
• 8:51
More for you reasons. Why this could actually?
• 8:54
Happen, but that's based on hard.
• 8:57
Math if you use. The actual government's
• 9:00
methodology for figuring out inflation, What they used up to
• 9:03
1982, everybody knows that. The current CPI calculations,
• 9:08
they call it CPY. OK, it's it's a total joke, the
• 9:13
  way they. They've developed this
• 9:14
methodology to make it look like, oh, we only have 2.4% or
• 9:19
3.1% inflation. If you use the.
• 9:22
Real and the guide. Shadow stats highly respected.
• 9:25
And you use that pre 1982 methodology, we get the $2000
• 9:30
silver if. The silver price were to get the
• 9:33
$50 and that would. Be in in the equivalent of
• 9:37
  $50.00 in pre 19. 82 CPI adjusted.
• 9:42
  Numbers. It's real.
• 9:45
  It is. OK, we.
• 9:47
Can hit silver prices. That most of us can't even
• 9:50
imagine. But then think about this,
• 9:52
right? In 1980 we didn't have II was a
• 9:56
non player in the world economy. In 1980 we didn't have China.
• 10:03
China was a nothing. Burger A.
• 10:06
Fraction. A small fraction of what they
• 10:08
are now we didn't have. Russia.
• 10:11
Russia. Was in the process of falling.
• 10:13
  Apart. OK.
• 10:14
So you've got China 1.4 billion. People World's.
• 10:18
Biggest or second biggest economy depending on who you
• 10:20
want to believe. India 1.4 billion.
• 10:23
People with an absolute. Love like China of precious
• 10:27
metals, but also an economic engine that's expanding like
• 10:30
crazy. We didn't have that in 1980.
• 10:33
Trust me. I was 10 years old.
• 10:35
How old were you in 1980? Did I tell you?
• 10:39
Thank you for being here with me in the basement guys.
• 10:42
Everything is going to. Be OK.
• 10:45
For silver and gold, days like today are no fun.
• 10:48
  I get it, I understand. I'm.
• 10:50
With you OK, but look. At that one year.
• 10:53
  Chart. Go ahead.
• 10:54
And pull it up. For yourself.
• 10:55
Later on tonight, when you start to fall back into that, oh,
• 10:58
Silver, no, everything is going to be fine, right?
• 11:02
We're in a new paradigm, a new complete environment for the
• 11:07
  silver. And gold price.
• 11:08
We the 1980 price, right? That was when again China,
• 11:13
India, Russia didn't even exist. Russia is buying.
• 11:16
Silver right as part of their strategic.
• 11:19
  Reserve central banks. Silver is.
• 11:21
We didn't have solar. But wait, there's more.
• 11:24
In 1980, we didn't have the industrial demand, we didn't
• 11:27
have solar panels, we didn't have Samsung making solid-state
• 11:32
  batteries. That are going to.
• 11:33
Use 1 kilogram of silver each and that Lexus is starting to
• 11:39
test in their cars. From what I understand.
• 11:41
From what I've read, we didn't have any of that.
• 11:44
Yeah, we had photography. I know OK, but when you.
• 11:48
Look at the future. Of demand for silver.
• 11:50
When you look at the future. Of these eastern countries.
• 11:54
That are taking over the world of.
• 11:56
Precious metals? Are you getting a warm fuzzy
• 11:58
feeling? I don't care that they smash the
• 12:00
price down by a. Dollar, Hey, great.
• 12:02
  Those are the weaklings. Right.
• 12:04
Do you start? Talking to me about. 36 dollar
• 12:07
$34.30, $2.00 silver. Then on my blood pressure.
• 12:11
Our blood pressure goes up a little bit, but big picture, we
• 12:15
  are. Absolutely in good shape.
• 12:17
Oh, there's more. This is the.
• 12:22
Biggest factor that can. Really, really like the old
• 12:26
  Bart. Bomb underneath our friend
• 12:28
  Silver. I can't.
• 12:29
Believe I just said that right? Don't like the?
• 12:31
Rocket fuel beneath our old friend Silver.
• 12:34
All of what we've. Accomplished in the silver.
• 12:37
Price $38 per oz today. Has been done with. 0.
• 12:42
Help from the West OK when that. Just goes back to normal levels.
• 12:47
Nobody's buying silver in the West.
• 12:49
China sucking it all over, India sucking it all over guys, when
• 12:53
the Western, when you're hold on the sheeple in the United
• 12:59
States, the other 99% of people that don't own silver join us.
• 13:04
Gold join us. It's going to be crazy.
• 13:07
Let's look at some hard data that tells us and I'm and I'm
• 13:10
hearing it from all the bullion dealers.
• 13:12
I'm hearing it from the coin shop people, right?
• 13:15
Nobody's buying silver. Very few people.
• 13:17
Are buying gold. Think about it.
• 13:20
What? And that's a major component of
• 13:24
the overall demand for the metals.
• 13:26
We've accomplished what we've accomplished right, with no help
• 13:31
from one of the major demand sources.
• 13:34
You know when the when more than just the Costco moms and dads
• 13:37
  wake. Up to what?
• 13:38
Is going on right now and join us the people that know.
• 13:43
That this right this is. Paper.
• 13:46
  Paper, right? Nothing.
• 13:47
Paper money. It could be huge.
• 13:50
All right, let's run out. We're going to go out to our
• 13:52
friend Chris Marcus at Arcadia Economics.
• 13:58
He. Put out a great article this.
• 14:00
Is from a few. Days ago, silver futures.
• 14:01
Come within a dime of. $40 earlier this week.
• 14:06
We'll touch on this very briefly and then we're going to go right
• 14:08
to the demand from the retail side, another sizable deficit
• 14:11
that came from the. Silver Institute this week.
• 14:14
But let's just run down here regarding the gold market.
• 14:18
This is. On a from a report from I think
• 14:20
it's money metals. Hold on a minute.
• 14:23
  Metals focus. I apologize the.
• 14:26
  Secondary gold retail investment.
• 14:28
Market year to. Date has been very active in
• 14:30
North America, with strong levels of buying and selling
• 14:32
from investors. Even so, appetite for new bars
• 14:36
and coins remain. Sluggish, this is reflected.
• 14:39
In the weakened premiums across coin and bar sizes, several
• 14:43
contacts we spoke to reference the bid premium for US Gold
• 14:48
Eagles and bars dropping to a discount to.
• 14:53
Spot below the spot price, OK. Indicative of a depressed
• 14:59
  market. So that's.
• 15:00
Gold. Wait till you hear about silver.
• 15:02
On the silver side, the trend is similar retail investment in the
• 15:08
  United. States fell.
• 15:09
By a marked 40. 6. Percent year over year in 2024.
• 15:15
While early. 2025. Saw some dealers report.
• 15:19
Net disinvestment feedback suggests continued coin and bar
• 15:23
buybacks at heightened levels and a further rise in dealer.
• 15:28
Stocks, a portion of which. Is destined for melt.
• 15:33
Are you hearing? Hold on here.
• 15:35
Oh boy. We got some technical.
• 15:37
  Problems here. Hold on.
• 15:40
  I think we're back. I think we're back.
• 15:42
Hopefully I didn't lose you guys.
• 15:45
Hey, I'm a one man band live streaming.
• 15:46
We're together in the basement. I hope you feel like you found a
• 15:49
home away from home, because things are going to be.
• 15:52
Good for us. In the silver and gold world, I
• 15:55
  don't. Know if we're still.
• 15:56
Live now or not, but nonetheless.
• 15:59
The reality is this. Coin shops, right, you bring you
• 16:04
bring oh boy, I got to I got to talk about our sponsor here, but
• 16:07
  you, you take. Some.
• 16:08
Silver into a coin shop you are right now.
• 16:12
Likely going to get. Offered a price under.
• 16:14
  Spot. OK.
• 16:15
A dollar or. 2 is what is. What I'm hearing from some
• 16:18
  people. Don't worry, that will.
• 16:21
  Change that will absolutely change.
• 16:25
OK, people are going to wake up. People are going to start buying
• 16:29
  gold and silver. If you.
• 16:30
Want to get your hands on something?
• 16:31
Beautiful like this? This is the Las Vegas silver
• 16:35
round. Look at that poker chip.
• 16:38
Design on this side, on the other side has the roulette
• 16:41
  wheel. And absolutely beautiful this
• 16:46

• 17:51
silver as well. There's so much going on.
• 17:55
Let's talk about Trump. OK, Let's talk about Donald
• 17:57
  Trump. Trump's the secret factor.
• 18:00
Trust me. Here's what's going to happen
• 18:02
with Trump. He's the king of debt.
• 18:04
This is not a political statement, but he is going to
• 18:07
run up the national debt, the national deficit, higher and
• 18:11
higher and higher. It will only continue to.
• 18:13
Devalue the US dollar so if you so choose to value.
• 18:19
The silver and gold that you own in US.
• 18:22
  Dollars. The price of.
• 18:23
Gold and silver only going higher.
• 18:25
He's putting massive, excuse me, massive pressure on the Fed.
• 18:31

yesterday in regard to this, and this one came from metals and
• 18:44
  Miners. Trump to.
• 18:45
Visit the Federal Reserve. Escalating campaign against
• 18:50
  chair. Powell.
• 18:52
And a couple of things here. Trump's going to go there.
• 18:54
He went there. Yesterday, Trump repeatedly has
• 18:57
  criticized. Powell for not cutting.
• 18:59
Interest rates, but this is the first.
• 19:01
Time in two decades that an American president will be
• 19:05
making an official trip to the central bank.
• 19:08
Now, what's important here and the reason why we're watching
• 19:11
  this? Is.
• 19:13
  They're talking, I mean, they're, they're this is
• 19:15
unprecedented behavior between the president of the United.
• 19:18
States who has a track record of.
• 19:20
Running up massive amounts of debt?
• 19:23
OK, Wanting a weak dollar and the Federal Reserve and wait.
• 19:27
Till you see this if if this. Is not the most uncomfortable
• 19:31
exchange of two people OK to make it even more astounding,
• 19:36
this is the President of the United States and the head of
• 19:39
  the United. States Federal Reserve.
• 19:41
  Watch this. And tell.
• 19:43
Me tell me that we aren't headed for some.
• 19:47
Major changes at the Fed and with our President Donald Trump.
• 19:52
Let's get this on full. Screen for you.
• 19:55
  And here we go. I
• 20:09
  mean this. Look at Powell.
• 20:24
  Watch this. No.
• 20:28
Look at him. Oh, Donald's got papers.
• 20:36
They're basically getting an argument here.
• 20:45
Drums. Like I got to put some more
• 20:46
  money. Like what?
• 20:58
That's the president. Of the United States and the
• 21:01
  head of the federal. Reserve.
• 21:13
Look at Powell. He's like Jerome Powell's like.
• 21:30
Yeah. We got a little bit of a reserve
• 21:32
that we can use if we need to. Yeah, it's called this.
• 21:37
Oh, let's get him out. What the?
• 21:38
Heck, it's a special day, all right.
• 21:40
There he is. Yeah, it's called this.
• 21:41
This is their special reserve that they have at the Federal
• 21:44
Reserve. It's called a printing press.
• 21:46
They can print all the money they want.
• 21:48
  All right. Few more astounding.
• 21:50
Facts that we're going to look. At in the in the silver market.
• 21:54
  The. Disparity between what's going
• 21:56
on in China with. Silver price wise.
• 21:59
And where we are in the US, but I do want to say thank you to
• 22:02

• 22:38
physical silver prices. That we are getting from China
• 22:42
and I want to pull up first. I'm going to do it here on my
• 22:45
phone. Let's first take a look at the
• 22:47
Kitco spot price. Right now for silver.
• 22:51
OK, so we are at. As you can see in the United now
• 22:55
you there you go and you can kind of see.
• 22:57
  That I guess 38 O 5 this is. Live $38.05.
• 23:03
Let's. Go see where it's silver.
• 23:04
That's the spot price of. Silver in the United.
• 23:07
States. Let's go take a look.
• 23:09
  And see. Where it closed.
• 23:13
In China, overnight, OK. There we go, we are at.
• 23:21
The our friend the Oriental. Ghost let's.
• 23:23
Give him credit man, he does this.
• 23:25
Every day for us. Thank you my friend.
• 23:27
  OK. Here's the latest data.
• 23:30
From China, from the Shanghai Gold Exchange and get it up on
• 23:34
full screen. What do we say 38?
• 23:38
Dollars in the United States Shanghai Gold Exchange.
• 23:41
  This is their physical. Market.
• 23:43
This is silver OH. Just $40.68 a.
• 23:48
  Full $2.00. Wow, that's approaching.
• 23:53
That's probably 8% higher, maybe approaching 9% higher.
• 23:58
  That. Is the Chinese physical?
• 24:00
Silver market. Guys in the Chinese market is
• 24:04
taking over the price discovery mechanism.
• 24:09
For silver. And then we get news.
• 24:12
Also earlier this week. That the Russians are are have
• 24:15
started their exchange. They've got a contract.
• 24:18
  For. Gold that's going on.
• 24:19
Things are changing at a rapid pace.
• 24:22
One more. Quick thing we'll take a look at
• 24:23
just to get a. Kind of a reason why we're
• 24:27
having this this down day in the price of.
• 24:30
Gold and silver. Let's go look at the.
• 24:32
DXY index this comes from. MarketWatch.
• 24:36
OK, I I cannot stop looking at this.
• 24:40
Chart. All right, so the DXY.
• 24:42
Index is up today. How we can get that out of the
• 24:46
way? Make it a little better.
• 24:47
  Looking for your viewing pleasure. 9779 a .43% That's a
• 24:53
big move up in the dollar Index. Again this.
• 24:56
Compares the US dollar. To a bunch of other crappy
• 24:59
currencies like the Japanese yen, the euro.
• 25:02
That I. Believe the Swiss franc and a
• 25:04
bunch of. Others, but just because we like
• 25:07
to. Look at some positive things on
• 25:10
  down. Days.
• 25:11
This is a 40 year chart. Of the DXY index and we can't
• 25:18
remind ourselves of this enough. If we look at this period here.
• 25:24
From 2001 through 2011, right, the DXY index went down, down,
• 25:30
down. Got as low as. 75 Remember,
• 25:34
we're still just below 100 right now, but during this.
• 25:37
  Period. The silver price.
• 25:40
Went from $5 per oz all. The way to five with a 0.
• 25:50
  Behind it per Oz. OK.
• 25:54
And that coincided with a big down draft in the.
• 25:57
Dollar so. When we look now and say, oh, we
• 26:02
are, you know. We are here just.
• 26:05
Below 100, What's credit? Hold on a minute here.
• 26:11
What's critical for us? What the heck?
• 26:15
OK, let's draw that line at 100 straight as we can.
• 26:22
  I think that's perfect. What's critical?
• 26:24
For us to remember is we just just went below 100 on this.
• 26:30
I don't like that now arrows draw a circle around 100 we.
• 26:36
Just right, just dipped below. 100.
• 26:39
But if you look. Back over time.
• 26:41
Over the last 40 years, we. Barely spent any time above 100
• 26:47
and we've got a long way to go to get down to 75 and I heard, I
• 26:53
think it was Luke Gorman yesterday.
• 26:55
Talk about the DXY. Possibly going all the way down
• 26:59
  to. 50. Don't forget, don't forget,
• 27:05
guys. I'm going to do it again.
• 27:08
That's the reason why Susie calls me around the repeater
• 27:11
during this period where we went down.
• 27:13
  The silver price absolutely skyrocketed.
• 27:16

• 27:18

• 28:44
I think a decade. Or more of great times in silver
• 28:48
and gold. Now you know I'm not a financial
• 28:50
advisor. Don't buy or sell anything based
• 28:52
on what I say, but I've been following.
• 28:55
This market for decades. And what's unfolding right?
• 28:59
