- 0:23Well, I trust everybody had a glorious, glorious Christmas holiday.
- 0:28I know we did.
- 0:29It's such a great time of the year, isn't it?
- 0:31Uh I mean, here in Michigan, it is we got hammered with a snowstorm last week.
- 0:41I mean, just hammered.
- 0:43We had a couple days off of school.
- 0:45And here we are.
- 0:47This week, there's no snow on the ground at all.
- 0:51I mean, we we go from getting hammered and not having school for two days to just uh it just that the weather here is something else.
- 1:00So we we had this warm spell and then a lot of rain.
- 1:04And with with the warmth and the rain, it it washed all the snow away.
- 1:09So here we are.
- 1:11Um snow.
- 1:13I mean, it's it snowed a little bit, but it's nice to look out on this glorious sunny day.
- 1:18Look at the green grass out the window.
- 1:21Uh it's just a beautiful time, whether there's snow on the ground or not.
- 1:25This is just a beautiful time of the year.
- 1:29It's it's a time where we reflect, where we pause for a moment, where we we consider where we are in life, uh, individually, collectively, as a group, as a nation.
- 1:45It's a time for us to reflect on our faith, things that we believe in, the things that that we hold dear.
- 1:54There's just a beautiful time.
- 1:56And I hope it's it's a beautiful time for you.
- 2:00I I hope you are experiencing this season in in a way that is meaningful, in a way that is giving you rest and comfort and peace and growth.
- 2:16I think all of the things that this time of the year offers to us.
- 2:22And I I do I know that there are people who are remembering perhaps those who are not at the table this year, perhaps going through loss, and I trust that you're able to find strength during this this time of the year, that you're able to find hope and peace and joy and comfort, because truly it's this is what the season brings.
- 2:53Hope and peace and joy and comfort.
- 2:56And it's just an absolutely lovely time.
- 2:59It's a great time to be alive, and I'm happy to be alive here with you behind the microphone.
- 3:04I'm grateful that you're here.
- 3:06I'm grateful that you're a part of this audience as we as we wind this calendar year down.
- 3:11This is our we're into our third year here on the network.
- 3:14And I'm just I'm grateful that you're a part of it.
- 3:18I'm I'm grateful that you're that you're here and and that you're perhaps at Substack.
- 3:24I don't know, maybe you've joined us at Sub Substack, maybe you haven't, if you haven't.

- 3:34By the way, we are here 2 p.m.
- 3:37Monday through Friday on AmericaOutloud.news every weekday, 2 p.m., we're in that time slot, right in the middle of the afternoon.
- 3:46I don't know if you know if that's a good slot to be in or not.
- 3:49I I like it.
- 3:51And so if that's where we are, it's that's where we've been from day one, 2 p.m.
- 3:56So if you're listening live through the app, which you can, you can download the app for your your iPhone, your Android, your Alexa, you can listen live, or you can go to America Outloud.news and listen on the world class media player, you can listen on iHeartRadio.
- 4:13We are literally everywhere on pretty much every platform.
- 4:17So if you're listening live, I want to tell you that uh from now until December 31st, you can, if you've not subscribed, if if you've not become a paid subscriber yet to Substack, we are running a 40% discount up until New Year's, up until if you get on there and subscribe before December 31st ends.
- 4:43That's a 40% discount.
- 4:45And it's it's over the the annual subscription price.
- 4:48And that's that's almost half.
- 4:53It's a really it's a decent deal.
- 4:55And it's I mean, it's inexpensive anyway.
- 4:59It boils down to like eight bucks a month.
- 5:01It's pretty cheap.
- 5:03I shouldn't use the word cheap because the product itself is excellent, but the cost for it, it's inexpensive.
- 5:11And if you enjoy American history, if you enjoy reading about American history, if you enjoy uh reading about things that make education better, really, things that make our lives better.
- 5:25That that's the purpose of the publication.
- 5:28It's a pursuit of of good true of what's good, what's true, and uh what's beautiful in American history and in American education.
- 5:43We are in the hunt for the good, the true, and the beautiful.
- 5:49And we would love to have you join us over there.
- 5:51Go to Substack, Substack.com and you can search the Dean's list.
- 5:55We're there.
- 5:56You'll find us.
- 5:57And again, if you if you get on before the end of this this year, midnight, December 31st, you'll get a 40% discount.
- 6:07It's it's just it's a really good deal.
- 6:08And we'd love to have you join us over there.
- 6:11So what's on the docket for today?
- 6:13There is there's some things I want to get into.
- 6:17And I I don't know, I might not have time to get through it all today.
- 6:22Of course, we've got we've got the entire year ahead of us, the rest of the year.
- 6:27We've got three days ahead of us to get into what we're gonna get into.
- 6:30Did you see this note here though?
- 6:34This news report that a federal judge struck down California's policies hiding gender switches from parents.
- 6:42It's about time.
- 6:44It's about time the judiciary showed up for the American public.
- 6:48It's about time the judiciary showed up for American families.
- 6:53It's about time the judiciary showed up for the inalienable right of a parent to raise their child in the way they see fit.
- 7:06And the school district should not be hiding things from the parents that they know the parents would disagree with.
- 7:13It should not be happening.
- 7:14And this federal judge here in California has struck it down, or at least struck down the California policy.
- 7:21I want to take some time and get into that that piece a little bit.
- 7:26Also, I I noted that uh the uh Department of Health has decided that they're going to cut funding for transgender-related procedures in children, and specifically they are getting millions of dollars in grants to the American Academy of Pediatrics.
- 7:51Did you see this?
- 7:53I mean, this is a glorious thing.
- 7:56We the past couple of years, we've talked about the American Academy of Pediatrics and how they do not have pediatrics at heart.
- 8:07They they do not have the best interest of children medically speaking.
- 8:12At the the core or the center of their of their values, what lies at the core and center of their values is the almighty dollar, and they realize that if they promote this despicable practice of gender mutilation, that there's a lot of money in it, and people can be duped.
- 8:36Low information voters can be duped.
- 8:40The public education system in America has done its job admirably admirably, uh, admirably.
- 8:47Can I say it?
- 8:48Can I spit it out today?
- 8:50They've done their job well in terms of dumbing down the American population.
- 8:56That's been the objective.
- 8:58If you've not been paying attention, then you're not aware that that's been the objective to dumb down the population.
- 9:06So the population can then be overrun.
- 9:10I know, I know you don't want to believe it.
- 9:13I know you don't.
- 9:14I don't want to believe it, but there's just too much evidence supporting that theory.
- 9:22Again, we've documented it here.
- 9:24We've spent literally hours upon hours.
- 9:27And every show, by the way, is in podcast.
- 9:29You can go find it.
- 9:31Wherever you listen to your podcasts, I don't know, Spotify, iTunes, Pandora, I don't know.
- 9:38You can go to America Outloud.news, go to my show page.
- 9:42Every single show is there.
- 9:44Every show without fail.
- 9:46Without fail.
- 9:47And there is a uh there's a litany.
- 9:51There's a just a ton of documented evidence that the objective has been to dumbest.
- 10:00Down.
- 10:02And it's my hope.
- 10:03It truly is.
- 10:04It's my hope that our eyes remain opened.
- 10:09Not only that they become open, but that they remain open.
- 10:14This is an important thing for us to be paying attention to.
- 10:18And I hope we're doing it.
- 10:19I know this audience is doing it.
- 10:21But just people in general.
- 10:24I talked about this report a few weeks ago.
- 10:27And I spoke to Malcolm on his Sunday show, his Sunday News magazine, Viewpoint this Sunday.
- 10:34We we had this conversation about the NEA.
- 10:39And they're celebrating recent school board victories coming out of November.
- 10:47And how they promoted and bragged about.
- 11:23And the NEA is celebrating this.
- 11:26They are out there banging their chests and promoting their abilities to get progressive school board members elected.
- 11:37And part of the the rationale is that Americans are just they're up against voter fatigue.
- 11:46They're just tired.
- 11:47They're tired of the fight.
- 11:49And they're just going to roll over and they're going to let they're going to let come what may.
- 11:54If progressives want to be on the school board, then so be it.
- 11:59The there were individuals running on uh running for school board seats that were running against this whole idea of indoctrination, and those individuals lost.
- 12:12They lost.
- 12:13And so the NEA is out here saying, yes, we've done it.
- 12:16We have finally convinced the American public that indoctrination is the answer.
- 12:22Indoctrination is the key because we've got case in point people running for school board seats.
- 12:31And their main platform is no DEI, no critical race theory, no gender indoctrination, blah, blah, blah.
- 12:38And those people lost.
- 12:40So the NEA is they're out there banging their chests.
- 12:43And it's my hope.
- 12:46It's my hope that that's not the case.
- 12:48It's my hope that we have not turned our back to the cause.
- 12:54It's my hope that the only reason these progressives have perhaps won in these districts is because there's enough families that have pulled out of the districts, and they're just like, you run you run your school boards, how you're going to run them.
- 13:10We've pulled our kids, and we are going to educate them in the way we see fit.
- 13:15And that's my hope.
- 13:15Now I'm not even happy about that, because I think we need to still be engaged in and local school board politics, as it were.
- 13:26I I think we need to be aware of who we are electing to school school board seats, whether we have children in the local public school districts or not.
- 13:38I think it's in our best interest as Americans.
- 13:42It's in our best interest to ensure that the country survives down the road.
- 13:48It survives in the future, and therefore we need to be electing people that are going to run our our local school districts that actually actually care about education because we're going to graduate students and they're going to be in charge of the country one day.
- 14:06Or at least they're going, they're going to be voting for people who are in charge of the country, at the very least.
- 14:46And we have to know where we stand.
- 14:48And these are important things.
- 14:50Listen, here we are.
- 14:52We're at the end of the year.
- 14:53We're still a couple of days.
- 14:54If you're listening live, we're still at a couple of days here before the year is out.
- 15:00And if you're still looking for a place to maybe give a donation to, to maybe offset your tax burden, or maybe you just you want a place to give just because you're charitable and you enjoy giving.
- 15:20And he said, I normally don't give to charity, but uh, but he gave us a good check.
- 15:25It was a it was a substantial check.
- 15:29And even though he normally doesn't give to charity, in his words, he believes in the cause that that we are involved in at Waterbrook Christian Academy.
- 15:38And if you here at the end of the year are looking for a place that you want to donate your money to, a place that believes in America, a place that is actively involved in educating students now to better their lives now, and then therefore to better the country in the future, then uh we would welcome your donation.
- 16:05We would love to have you partner with us.
- 16:07We'd love to have you come on board and join us on the front lines.
- 16:12You can go to Waterbrook CA.org, and there's right there at the top, you'll see the support tab.
- 16:18Click the support tab, scroll down, you can text to give.
- 16:21You can you can click the the donate now, you can you can give a one-time donation.
- 16:27You can get on to a monthly where you're you know, where you're donating every month.
- 16:32We would love to have that happen.
- 16:34And any amount, it doesn't matter the amount.
- 16:37You know, this individual that gave me a check a couple days ago, it was a substantial amount.
- 16:42But 10, 20, 50 bucks, it all goes a long way.
- 16:47And it goes to a cause that is beautiful.
- 16:53And that cause is educating students in Judeo-Christian American values, educating the student in virtue, and giving them a deep understanding of what it means to be an American, because it means something.
- 17:13It means something very specific to be an American.
- 17:16We've talked about this, you know, even recently.
- 17:20I've I've got some pieces on the on my page, and even in Substack that talk about what does it mean to be an American?
- 17:27And if you miss those programs, you can you can go to Substack, you can find it.
- 17:32You can go to my show page here at America Outloud.news.
- 17:36You can read about it.
- 17:38Uh it means something very special.
- 17:43You can be you can be an American by um by citizenship.
- 17:49You can also be un-American.
- 17:51You know, you can't you can't be un-French.
- 17:54You can't be un-Italian, you can't be unbritain or un-German.
- 17:57You can't be un-African, but you can be un-American.
- 18:02Because being American means upholding particular values.
- 18:08It means embracing particular philosophical ideas.
- 18:14Ideas such as we were created equally and endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights.
- 18:24That that's a that's a particular philosophy.
- 18:26And it's a philosophy that this country was founded upon.
- 18:31It's foundational.
- 18:33If you choose to not believe those things, that would make you un-American.
- 18:38And we're we are unique in this regard, that you can't be on any other country.
- 18:43You can't be un-Russian.
- 18:45You can be un-American.
- 18:47That's just a special place.
- 18:48And I love it.
- 18:49I love being here, and I I love living here.
- 18:52And I love educating students to love being here and to love living here and to love the country.
- 18:59There's a there's a particular type of education that we do at Waterbrook, and we refer to it as soul formation.
- 19:07We want to form and craft their souls to be good individuals, to be good people, to be good humans, to be good American citizens.
- 19:17And we believe it's an education unlike any other.
- 19:22We would put it up against any education in the country.
- 19:26We are that fond of it.
- 19:28We believe in it that much.
- 19:31And if you believe in it as well, then by all means, come alongside of us, join us.
- 19:37Make it, I don't know, make it part of your philanthropic philanthropic goals.
- 19:42Do you have philanthropic goals?
- 19:44I know a lot of people do.
- 19:45They have philanthropic goals.
- 19:46There's particular particular things and places that they want their their dollar to go to.
- 19:54And so I invite you, you know, I invite you to make make classical education, a part.
- 20:00Of your philanthropic goals.
- 20:02And you can start by joining the work that we do at Waterbrook Christian Academy.
- 20:07All right, my friends, there's a lot to get into.
- 20:10And I want to get into all of it here in these next couple of segments.

- 24:08And patriotism is loyal to that principle.
- 24:11I'm happy to report that American patriotism flows freely once again.
- 24:19America Outloud dot news is that plays to awaken your heart, soul, and mind to the outbow truth.
- 24:35Before we get into this piece on this federal judge telling California, sorry, you can't have these policies that are going to hide important information from parents before we get into that.
- 24:48I think it's important that we dive into an annual history class.
- 24:52I mean, isn't that don't you feel the urge, the need?
- 24:57Yes, exactly.
- 24:58I do too.
- 24:59I just, I think, I think history class awaits, because this time of the year, there is rich history, very rich history that we need to dive into.
- 25:11Matter of fact, last week, this would have been our last Substack piece of the year.
- 25:18If you've not been to Substack, our very last piece of the year, centered around a beautiful Christmas time story.
- 25:26A Christmas time story, not only of perseverance, but one that really promotes the power of prayer.
- 25:35And it took place right around right around here, right around now.
- 25:40Uh World War II, the Battle of the Bulge, and how that uh, how that came to a to a climax, as it were, how it how it came to uh to an apex in Baston, Belgium, and just the story there.
- 26:00The things that things that you didn't know about Patton, I don't know, maybe I'll get into it, because it's a great history class.
- 26:06But what I would like to point out, since today's December 29th, I would like to point out the 1940 Fireside Chat, December 29th that FDR gave.
- 26:18Now, FDR, love him, hate him.
- 26:21He's not my favorite president.
- 26:24But he gave these fireside chats that coalesced the country, brought people together.
- 26:32It was a masterful move, a masterful stroke of genius.
- 26:37Don't know if it was his own or somebody in his camp, somebody on his team.
- 26:43But these fireside chats became stuff that people looked forward to.
- 26:48They wanted to hear the president.
- 26:50Kind of had a reassuring voice, kind of a grandfatherly sort of voice.
- 26:56But here on this night, December 29th, 1940, Bill Bennett describes that theaters and restaurants across the country emptied out because people expected FDR to be coming on the radio soon.
- 27:12Nobody was out entertaining themselves.
- 27:16Restaurants weren't full of clattering dishes and silverware, and restaurants uh or movie theaters weren't full of moviegoers munching on popcorn and drinking coca's and other snacks.
- 27:32They were all at home next to their radio.
- 27:36As FDR delivered one of his most famous fireside chats.
- 27:41He said in this in this particular chat on December 29th, 1940, that never before since Jamestown in Plymouth Rock has our American civilization been in such danger as it was in that very moment.
- 28:00I mean, that that's a bold statement.
- 28:021940.
- 28:05His exact quote: never before since Jamestown in Plymouth Rock has our American civilization been in such danger as now.
- 28:13And America hadn't even entered the war yet.
- 28:17But but Great Britain, uh, the Greek islands, the Chinese, they were the few nations left that were struggling against against the Axis assault, as it were.
- 28:32FDR said that if Great Britain were to fall, that Americans would be living at the point of a gun in this radio address.
- 28:43Of course, that very night the Germans were bombing London like there was no tomorrow.
- 28:49I mean, London itself was engulfed in flames that very night.
- 28:53And FDR said, if Great Britain falls, we're going to be living at a gunpoint.
- 28:59This this thing, his prediction was the war would come to the to the coastland on either side.
- 29:07We were kind of hemmed in.
- 29:10He said there can be no appeasement with ruthlessness.
- 29:14There can be no reasoning with an incendiary bomb.
- 29:19He said, We know that a nation can have peace with the Nazis only at the price of total surrender.
- 29:26That's it.
- 29:28That is your that's your peace treaty.
- 29:31You surrender.
- 29:33Either you surrender or you face total annihilation.
- 29:39He said, We must apply ourselves to our task with the same resolution, the same sense of urgency, the same spirit of patriotism and sacrifice as we would show if we were at war.
- 29:52Because surrender was the only was the only parlay the the Germans were interested in.
- 30:00Those were their terms.
- 30:01You surrender.
- 30:03Matter of fact, the the substack story that I wrote about, the last of the year is about this very thing, about the Germans coming and approaching General McAloff and Best On Belgium and giving him an ultimatum.
- 30:24They said, look, either you surrender the 101st Airborne Division, or you face total annihilation.
- 30:32You're surrounded, you're outmanned, you're outgunned, and you you're out of hope.
- 30:37So just surrender now.
- 30:40And McCullough gets this.
- 30:43He gets the these terms, and he says, Oh, nuts.
- 30:46He said, a surrender on nuts.
- 30:49That's just that's the American spirit.
- 30:52That's the American attitude.
- 30:53Well, you want me to surrender?
- 30:55Oh, nuts.
- 30:56And so he's, you know, he's contemplating what he's going to say to them.
- 31:00He knows he's not going to surrender, but he just doesn't know how to go about and word it.
- 31:04And one of his one of his officers said, Well, just tell him what you told us.
- 31:09Nuts.
- 31:10And that's that's what he that was his one word reply.
- 31:14Dear German commander, colon.
- 31:19Nuts, exclamation mark.
- 31:21That was it.
- 31:22It was a one-word reply.
- 31:24Because they said you give us your reply in two hours.
- 31:28And it better be a reply that includes the word surrender in it.
- 31:32Or you are going to be annihilated.
- 31:36No one's coming to your defense.
- 31:40And there was some truth in their statement that no one's coming to your defense because the weather just the weather was atrocious.
- 31:48Our American bombers were grounded.
- 31:50There was no air support.
- 31:52Patton had been trying to reach and break the German lines here at the bulge.
- 31:59And the weather just, he was just muddied down.
- 32:03Couldn't move.
- 32:05Which makes this story so miraculous.
- 32:08So back to Mukuloff.
- 32:10He gets this ultimatum.
- 32:15And his one word reply is nuts.
- 32:18And so one of the just makes me laugh.
- 32:20So one of his officers says, I volunteered to take the reply to the German soldiers, officers, commanders, whoever who were waiting for the reply.
- 32:33They were off somewhere blindfolded, waiting for this reply.
- 32:37And one of his officers said, I'll take the reply to them.
- 32:42So he takes McCullough's reply to the German commanders.
- 32:47And I love this.
- 32:49I just love this.
- 32:49He says, Listen, you know, gives him the reply.
- 32:53It says, Dear German commanders nuts.
- 32:55He said, Look, if you don't know what nuts means in just English vernacular, it means go to hell.
- 33:00That's that's what it means.
- 33:03It just means go to hell.
- 33:05And they're like, really, this is your reply.
- 33:09But one of them, as they were leaving, mumbled something about many Americans are going to die.
- 33:14We're going to kill many Americans, just so you're aware of that.
- 33:19Just just so you know what your reply has bought you.
- 33:21It's bought you death.
- 33:23It's bought you doom.
- 33:24It's brought you destruction.
- 33:26This was December 22nd.
- 33:29December 22nd.
- 33:32And there was, again, as I mentioned, because of the the weather.
- 33:37There was no air cover.
- 33:39There was, you know, Patton couldn't get there for reinforcements.
- 33:43It was abysmal.
- 33:44And they, the Germans unleashed fury.
- 33:48They unleashed something ferocious.
- 33:51And they basically leveled the town.
- 33:54They didn't care if you were military or civilian.
- 33:57They leveled the town.
- 34:00They began an onslaught, which took place for three or four days until Patton could get there.
- 34:09But here's the backstory.
- 34:11Earlier in December, matter of fact, I think I'm going to pull this up because the uh the back and forth that Patton has here between himself and the chaplains is just uh I absolutely love it.
- 34:31And I want to um I want to get it right.
- 34:35So I'm going to pull it up here because it's just so good.
- 34:38So the backstory is this a few months, not a few months, a few weeks earlier, early in December.
- 34:46Patton uh gathers his chaplains together.
- 34:50I think this was, I think the date here is December 8.
- 34:54And the weather is horrible.
- 34:56And he asks his head chaplain, a man by the name of James O'Neill.
- 35:00He he just asks him, he asks one question.
- 35:04He said, Do you have a good prayer for the weather?
- 35:07He said, Chaplain, listen, we've got to do something about this weather.
- 35:12It hasn't stopped raining in weeks.
- 35:14And if it doesn't, we're not going to be able to win this war.
- 35:18Do you have a good prayer for the weather?
- 35:22Chaplin, you know, goes back, looks through all of his prayer books, doesn't find anything that pertains to the weather.
- 35:29So he types out an original prayer.
- 35:32Are you ready?
- 35:32Here it is.
- 35:33Here's the original prayer.
- 35:35Almighty and most merciful father.
- 35:38We humbly beseech thee of thy great goodness to restrain these moderate rains with which we have had to contend.
- 35:48Grant us fair weather for battle.
- 35:51Graciously hearken to us as soldiers who call upon thee that armed with thy power, we may advance from victory to victory and curse the oppression and wickedness of our enemies and establish thy justice among men and nations.
- 36:08That was it.
- 36:09Couple sentences, one paragraph.
- 36:12Patton loved it.
- 36:14Absolutely loved the prayer.
- 36:16So he told the chaplain, have this prayer printed up on cards.
- 36:22Enough cards to be passed out to every single man in his third army.
- 36:29And then some.
- 39:16December 22nd, the very day McCulloch is getting his demand for surrender.
- 39:27And this is what happens when a demand for surrender meets a demand for prayer.
- 39:33The weather clears.
- 39:35The weather instantaneously clears.
- 39:37So here's what Patents uh Jutant Colonel Harkins had to say.
- 39:44He wrote this later on.
- 39:46He said, on the 23rd, the day after the prayer was issued, the weather cleared and remained perfect for about six days.
- 39:54Enough to allow the allies to break the backbone of the
- 40:00Ronstead offensive and turn a temporary setback into a crushing defeat for the enemy.
- 40:08Ah if that is not I don't know, if that isn't a story that just gets you, then I don't know what's gonna get you.
- 40:18That is such an illustration to me of the power of prayer, the power of and this was uh 1943, 1943, was it 4340?
- 40:36No, it's I'm sorry, it was 44, 1944.
- 40:39Four years after this December 29 fire side chat given to us by by Roosevelt, wherein you know, he said, look, the uh a nation can only have peace with the Nazis if if the price has total surrender.
- 40:59That's it.
- 41:02But there was a man called Patton who believed that there was this circuit completed.
- 41:10This this power circuit was completed through prayer.
- 41:16He said, if we all pray, it will be like plugging in on a current whose source is in heaven.
- 41:22I believe that prayer completes that circuit.
- 41:24It is power, and you know, Patton isn't uh he's not often portrayed as a praying man, yet he firmly believed that prayer completed the power circuit from heaven to earth, and his beliefs were confirmed on a cold December day in Belgium when all of a sudden the rain stopped, the weather broke, the air cleared.
- 41:50It cleared long enough for American bombers to bring in support, and it cleared long enough for the forten's third army to break the back of the Germans.
- 42:03And I just, you know, it's a it's a history class that we we just we can't do without.
- 42:10We just we can't do without it.
- 42:12And there's other history classes that we love to go to annually this time of the year.
- 42:18One of our favorites is, of course, the crossing of the Delaware.
- 42:21Oh man, one of our absolute favorites, victory or death.
- 42:26Victory or death, that was the code word.
- 42:28That's the code word that Washington gave.
- 42:32I don't know, maybe should we have another history class on the other side of the break?
- 42:36I really want to get to this piece though, for out of California.
- 42:38We'll decide.
- 42:39We'll decide when we get there.
- 42:40All right, kids, more to come on the other side.

- 46:31We'll save we'll save another history class for tomorrow.
- 46:34I don't want to inundate you with just too much history.
- 46:37That last history class, though, in segment two, if you're just joining us, definitely catch segment two in the podcast, because that history class is just one of my favorites.
- 46:48And maybe it'll be one of yours.
- 46:50Okay, but I want to get into this case out of California, Judge Roger T.
- 46:54Benitez.
- 46:56He is the U.S.
- 46:57district court for the Southern District of California.
- 47:01He came up to the plate here.
- 47:02And he crushed this.
- 47:04He crushed it over the fence for parental rights.
- 47:07If you support and believe in parental rights, you are very happy with what Benitas wrote in his 52-page decision entering a permanent injunction that bars California state officials from enforcing particular policies.
- 47:28Well, what policies are we talking about?
- 47:30Among the policies and rules, uh, are ones that prohibit teachers from telling parents when their children begin going by a different name or a different gender, and force the teacher to then use those new names and new pronouns when the parents are not around.
- 47:50But when the parents are around, you gotta call them, you gotta call the kids by the names and the pronouns that the parents gave them, the names the parents gave them and the pronouns that were given to them at birth based upon their gender.
- 48:08In other words, when parents are in the room, you've got to use accurate grammatically correct pronouns.
- 48:15But when parents aren't in the room, then you've got to call the child what the child wants to be called.
- 48:19These are the convoluted policies in California that Judge Benitez said, uh-uh.
- 48:25No, uh-uh.
- 48:27We are we are we're we're done with this stupidity.
- 48:31The state's desire, here's what he wrote.
- 48:33The state's desire to protect vulnerable children from harassment and discrimination is laudable.
- 48:39I mean, it's good, that's what we want.
- 48:41We think that the state should be involved, protecting vulnerable children from harassment and discrimination.
- 48:50However, he said, the parental exclusion policies create a trifecta of harm.
- 48:57They harm the child who needs parental guidance and possibly mental health intervention to determine if the incongruence is organic or whether it is the result of bullying or peer pressure or a fleeting impulse.
- 49:11Finally, finally, we have we have someone in a robe on the bench who's going to recognize that young people, whether elementary, middle school, or high school, might have a fleeting impulse.
- 49:27And that fleeting impulse shouldn't necessarily be captured by an adult in the building and made to become truth.
- 49:37I mean, it's not in this case, and especially in the case of gender ideology.
- 49:43If you're wanting to flip a different gender, it's not truth.
- 49:48But we have adults capturing these fleeting impulses and presenting them as truth to the hearts and minds of the kids.
- 49:56And yes, that is a trifecta of harm.
- 50:00Benitez has out here crushing it.
- 50:03But he wasn't done there.
- 50:04He said the policies harm the parents by depriving them of the long recognized 14th Amendment right to care.
- 50:12To guide and make health care decisions for their children and by substantially burdening many parents' First Amendment right to train their children and their sincerely held religious beliefs.
- 50:26Oh man.
- 50:28Oh, just the sound of common sense.
- 50:31The sound of common sense is such a beautiful thing.
- 50:35Don't you just feel better just reading it and just hearing it?
- 50:39Oh, the sound of common sense.
- 50:42Lawyers, of course, for the state said that the policies are very much rooted in common sense.
- 50:50They're a part of providing a safe learning environment.
- 50:53And making sure that children can learn without fear of being outed to their parents before they're ready.
- 51:04Oh, those evil parents.
- 51:05I mean, that the child knows what's best for the child.
- 51:08And why those parents are evil?
- 51:11And the child doesn't feel ready for the parents to learn yet.
- 51:15And so the benevolent school district comes along and caters to the needs of the child.
- 51:26Um the judge said that interest is too broad and not narrowly tailored to respect parental rights.
- 51:34His exact quote is in articulating their interest, he said, the state defendants completely ignore the fact that parents of students possess a free exercise right to direct a child's religious teachings.
- 51:48You can't ignore that.
- 51:50It doesn't matter what the child says.
- 51:52You can't ignore the parents' right to direct their religious teachings.
- 51:57The permanent injunction offered by the judge here includes language that bars any employee in California's education system, top to bottom.
- 52:08It bars them from quote, misleading the parent or guardian of a minor child in the education system about their child's gender presentation at school.
- 52:20Whether by uh any of the following number one, directly lying to the parent, can't do it.
- 52:26Number two, preventing the parent from accessing educational records of the child, you can't do it.
- 52:33Or number three, using a different set of preferred pronouns or names when speaking with the parents, other than what is being used at school.
- 52:43Can't do it.
- 52:44All right, this the era of deception in California education has come to a close.
- 52:52I mean, I kind of like that.
- 52:55The era of deception in California education has come to an immediate close.
- 53:04And isn't it about time?
- 53:06Isn't it about time that we had a judge that acknowledged common sense, acknowledged parental rights, acknowledged that kids are going to be kids and they're gonna they're they're gonna go through stuff.
- 53:20And just because all of a sudden Johnny wants to be Janie doesn't mean that that fleeting thought should be captured.
- 53:28Attorneys for the Thomas Moore Society, who are representing teachers in this case, because teachers don't, there's a lot of teachers who don't want to be put in this position.
- 53:39They don't want to have to follow these policies of deception in order to keep their jobs.
- 53:45They're not on board with this.
- 53:46Look, not every public school teacher is on board with public school indoctrination.
- 53:51California included, and these public school teachers are to be applauded, they're to be commended, they are to be celebrated and championed.
- 54:01Talk about being on the front lines.
- 54:04California of all places.
- 54:07So attorneys for the Thomas Moore Society are representing some of these teachers.
- 54:12And here's what Paula Jones, who is special counsel at the Thomas Moore Society.
- 54:18Here's what Paula had to say.
- 54:20I'm sorry, Paul.
- 54:21Did I say Paula Jones?
- 54:23I'm thinking Bill Clinton.
- 54:24No, Paul Jonah.
- 54:26I apologize, Mr.
- 54:27Jonah.
- 54:28Paul Jonah, here's what he had to say.
- 54:30Maybe his name is Jana.
- 54:32You know, I don't know.
- 54:33We're going with we're gonna call him Paul.
- 54:36Here's what Paula had to say.
- 54:38The court's comprehensive ruling, granting summary judgment on all claims, protects all California parents, students, and teachers, and it restores sanity and common sense.
- 54:51Amen.
- 54:52Preacher, brother.
- 54:54He continued, with this decisive ruling from Judge Benitez, all state and local school officials that mandate gender secrecy policies should cease all enforcement or face severe legal consequences.
- 55:09And of course, wouldn't you know it?
- 55:11California Attorney General Rob Bonta has filed an application to stay the injunction.
- 55:18How dare Judge Benitez want to interject common sense here?
- 55:22It's got to be stayed.
- 55:24Here's what uh Banta's statement read.
- 55:28We believe that the district court misapplied the law and that the decision will ultimately be reversed on appeal.
- 55:35We are committed to securing school environments that allow transgender students to safely participate as their authentic selves while recognizing the important role that parents play in students, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 55:48You don't recognize the important role that parents play in the lives of students when you claim that because the student wants to switch a different gender, they're acting as their authentic self.
- 56:01You know, uh-uh.
- 56:03That claim is convoluted.
- 56:06It's just convoluted.
- 56:08Their authentic self.
- 56:10Give me a break.
- 56:13Their biological existence is their authentic self.
- 56:17Rob Bonta.
- 56:19You buffoon.
- 56:21I don't know.
- 56:21I'm okay.
- 56:23Be nice, Dean.
- 56:25This is a buffoonery kind of statement.
- 56:27It's a buffoonery statement.
- 56:29All right.
- 56:30Well, there it is, my friends.
- 56:32The era of deception in California education is coming to a close.
- 56:37And we are happy about it.
- 56:39We are, we're happy about it.
- 56:40These kids that go through this, they need help.
- 56:44They absolutely need help and they need loving adults to come in and lead them and guide them through the help that's necessary.
- 56:54And Banta over here.
- 56:56He's not, he's not a part of that train.
- 56:58I can tell you that right now.
- 56:59All right, my friends, listen, thank you for joining me again.
- 57:02I hope you had a beautiful Christmas.
- 57:04I hope you're gonna have a fantastic new year.
