Transcript
- 0:11Hello and welcome. You're listening to Galaxy
- 0:14Crashers, The Busted, and McFly podcast.
- 0:17The only podcast where the two wands of Busted and McFly
- 0:20collide. Hosted by us 230 something mums
- 0:24who love nostalgia and all things naughties.
- 0:27I'm Sham. And I'm Tay and on this week's
- 0:29episode, we are jumping in our DeLorean and heading into the
- 0:32next Millennium to the year 3000.
- 0:34Why can't I speak? I, I can't say that word.
- 0:39Apparently Millennium heading to the next Millennium for the year
- 0:423000. Sorry everyone.
- 0:45But we aren't going it alone, because this week we are joined
- 0:48by the one the only. It's Steve.
- 0:50Everyone. There you go.
- 0:55Hey, good to be back. Good to be.
- 0:59Back and it's good to have you back Steve and not only are you
- 1:02back, but you're joining us for a full episode today, which we
- 1:05are absolutely ecstatic about because last time 20 minutes was
- 1:08just not enough so we needed more so.
- 1:11Thank you for joining us. Always.
- 1:14Absolutely. Always so, Steve, but do you
- 1:16want to tell everybody what they can expect from today's episode
- 1:19of? Course, so coming up today,
- 1:22we've got this or that. The We Are Family segment is
- 1:26back, back, back again. We are also doing the song of
- 1:29the Week where we talk about that Jonas Brothers cover.
- 1:33And finally, we're discussing what we think the year 3000
- 1:36might actually look like. Yes I love that that Jonas
- 1:41Brothers cover like don't even remember the name.
- 1:44Not that the episode is called the name of the song, but yeah,
- 1:46right I. Mean we'll get there.
- 1:49I know what song we're referring to.
- 1:50I know we'll get there, we'll get there and we'll move into
- 1:53that later because I have some very strong opinions, guys, I'm
- 1:55not going to lie. I'm oh, we'll switch.
- 1:57We'll switch places. I know.
- 1:59Big Jonas Brothers fan, but just, you know, some things are
- 2:03better left alone. Agreed.
- 2:06Anyway, moving on Steve, how are you?
- 2:09How's your week been? What have you been up to?
- 2:12Not too bad. I'm a bit, I've been a bit I'll
- 2:14over the last couple of days. I'm just blaming on the
- 2:16Christmas Blues. Life.
- 2:19But now I've been doing a lot of my crafting, I've got a lot of
- 2:21craft things for Christmas. I've got a little magic shop.
- 2:25I love that. In preparation for this, I've
- 2:28literally been building it, listening to a present for
- 2:31everyone. I love that.
- 2:33Steve that is dedication, absolute dedication.
- 2:37Amazing what kind of kids you do lots of crafts, Steve don't you?
- 2:40You're very Steve has got like the most patience in the whole
- 2:45world. I have 0 patience when it comes
- 2:47to craft. I make my jewellery and that's
- 2:48it. And even that sometimes I throw
- 2:50it at the walls, can't be bothered with it.
- 2:52And Steve does like so many little tiny intricate things.
- 2:57And tell me Steve, what you do what what is it called?
- 3:00The one that you do the. Most so I normally do
- 3:03miniatures. I've got into it over the last
- 3:06two or three years, but recently I have found micro miniatures
- 3:10which I don't think I've actually.
- 3:11Shown you tags. But it's even smaller than it
- 3:16literally fits in like a little pencil case tin that used to
- 3:19take to like primary school with you and honest I understand the
- 3:24frustration and throwing things across the room.
- 3:26I really trying to get super glue off something when it's
- 3:30like. Yeah, that's not, not my thing,
- 3:36but it seems very creative and as now we we all can see each
- 3:40other. I know that listeners, we don't
- 3:42do video yet. We will get there, I promise.
- 3:43But to be honest, the reason we don't do it is because it's 8:10
- 3:47on a Monday evening and me and Shannon usually look haggard by
- 3:50this point because. I've only got a towel on their.
- 3:52Door sleeping. I'm wearing an Oddie that has
- 3:54Labradors on earth like my make us sell my face.
- 3:57I've put my child's bird. We're all haggard.
- 4:00Nobody wants to see this. Maybe eventually we can see each
- 4:03other and I can see that the high speed on the wall is all of
- 4:06his wonderful Gemma that he's been doing and he does so much
- 4:10Gemma. And yes, I can see your
- 4:12miniatures on the top. I love it.
- 4:15I love it. And for Christmas, I bought
- 4:17Steve a wicked Gemma because I could not I saw it in B&M and I
- 4:21was like, I can't walk past that put it down.
- 4:24It's not happening. So he's got his Gemma for for
- 4:29Christmas. I'm looking forward to seeing
- 4:30that completed. Steve, I hope that that's next
- 4:32on your. Agenda.
- 4:32Of course I'm I'm saving that for a special time when I need
- 4:35uplifting. I love it and I need to feel for
- 4:37good so. I love it.
- 4:40I love it super. What about you, Sharon?
- 4:42What you've been up to? Well, it's been Christmas
- 4:45holidays aren't it? So I've been off, been off work.
- 4:48I've had 2 1/2 weeks off work. I go back to work tomorrow and I
- 4:50tell you now I I like probably end up staying awake until
- 4:55midnight just to avoid going back into work tomorrow.
- 5:00Really enjoying my first holidays off.
- 5:04But yeah, being Christmas, we had a quite quiet Christmas
- 5:07actually, just the four of us. But I also were building.
- 5:11I also started building something very small and
- 5:14intricate. I found, I found my new like
- 5:18hyper fixation. I go through it in months, like
- 5:21one month it'll be one month it'll be colouring in.
- 5:24I went through a huge colouring in phase.
- 5:27Next month I'll be it'll be playing guitar, next month it'll
- 5:30be Lego. But right now I've been building
- 5:33book nooks. Have you?
- 5:35Do you know what Book Nook is? Yes, yes, go.
- 5:38Yes. Please explain for people that
- 5:40don't know. So it's like a little, little
- 5:43world. It can be like a street or so
- 5:45the one I just built was like a magical coffee shop and it's
- 5:48like the size of a book, a bit wider and it goes in between
- 5:52your books. So you've got like a little
- 5:54world on your bookshelf. And I got one for Christmas and
- 5:58I built it on Christmas Day. I literally opened it and I was
- 6:00like, right, see you guys, food's cooking, food's cooking.
- 6:04I'm at the table building my book neck.
- 6:06And I built it in one day. I built it.
- 6:09I think it took me 5 hours. But what really annoyed me is it
- 6:13didn't come with glue. So I used some eyelash glue.
- 6:18Yes, quick thing. Yeah, I built it with Ashley.
- 6:21Such a Shannon thing to do, yeah.
- 6:25But it was, I love it. It's lush.
- 6:26I love it. When this episode comes out,
- 6:29what we should do is you should send us some pictures of your
- 6:31miniatures and I'll send a picture of my.
- 6:33That would be cool. And we'll attach it to the
- 6:35episode. I've been making jewellery this
- 6:37week so. There we go.
- 6:39A little all our crafts together so that.
- 6:41Stuff as well. I've got a couple of bookmarks.
- 6:43Yeah, I have you. Everyone listening can see our
- 6:47our crafts. Not that they're interested in
- 6:50them at all. It was.
- 6:52Such a little show and tell. I mean, if I do a busted fact,
- 6:55they might. Yeah, I was going to say, guys,
- 6:57we're here. We're here for Busted and McFly.
- 6:59Why are we doing this? A.
- 7:03Little diorama. Yes, why not?
- 7:05Why not? I love it.
- 7:07Ask that, Shan. That sounds so cute.
- 7:09I love that. Yeah, so that's been my
- 7:10holidays. How about you?
- 7:12What have you been up to? Actually started my new job
- 7:15today which was super exciting. It's not like it sounds like, it
- 7:19sounds funny because it is a new job to me, but I've got a
- 7:22consistent supply teaching role now every Monday in a lovely
- 7:27little school until the end of July.
- 7:29So it's like. That's so good.
- 7:30It's like a job, but it's only one day week, but the two other
- 7:33days I'm still doing supply and then I have two days home with
- 7:36Molly. So yeah, it was really nice.
- 7:37I've got a really small like class, it's only 23 of them and
- 7:40they're all really lovely. They were very, very lively
- 7:42today considering it's the first day back as well.
- 7:44First day back and they've got a new.
- 7:46Teacher and I arrived and like nothing worked.
- 7:48The laptop wasn't working. The planning was all on the
- 7:52laptop, the PowerPoints were on the laptop.
- 7:54All I had was like some maths activity but with nothing to go
- 7:57with it. And I was like, oh.
- 7:58My goodness. I got there really early.
- 8:01So literally was like like about 50 minutes early so that I could
- 8:04be there, get everything set up nowhere.
- 8:06I was going nowhere. The staff room and the toilets
- 8:08and everything was it took me 40 minutes to get the computer to
- 8:12even literally turn on. It was so annoying.
- 8:17But I got there in the end. So yeah, that was my day today.
- 8:20And yeah, we've just Christmas, you know, we've just been
- 8:22chilling and it's been so nice to see Molly just actually
- 8:26understanding what Christmas. Is loving Christmas?
- 8:28Yeah. We carried her downstairs on
- 8:30Christmas morning in Santa, had left lots of footprints all the
- 8:37way through our kitchen and she came.
- 8:39Down I love that I. Said what's that?
- 8:42And she went. Santa made a mess, mummy.
- 8:48She's adorable. But yeah, she, I think she got a
- 8:51little bit overwhelmed with the amount of presents and things.
- 8:54We we actually ended up opening like half of them on Boxing Day
- 8:58because she just had so many not from us, but like, they just
- 9:02pile up from everybody. Do you know what I mean?
- 9:05Like do. You remember autumn's first
- 9:07birthday and it was like it ends up being because like for my
- 9:11youngest daughter, for her 1st birthday, we had a party because
- 9:15it was the first grandchild. It was the first everything and
- 9:18everyone wanted to bring her presents, which is lovely, but
- 9:21also everyone wanted to see her open them.
- 9:22So we had to like all go in the living room and open all of them
- 9:26at the same time. And she was just so overwhelmed
- 9:29that it ended up being just a convey about she didn't care
- 9:32what was inside them in the end. That's.
- 9:33Exactly it. That's what we're trying to
- 9:35avoid. So that's why we literally took
- 9:37two days to open them and I didn't get her loads.
- 9:40Actually, the majority of the things that I got her were from
- 9:43the charity shop. Yeah.
- 9:45From our best friend Ricky's charity shop and books.
- 9:48Literally that was it. I just got her loads of books
- 9:50and I got her a few little like colouring things and some like
- 9:53wooden fruit that she can chop because she's really in her like
- 9:57shop phase at the moment. So she had those things and then
- 10:01her big thing, she had her rocking horse which was from her
- 10:05her Nana and I got her a little scooter which she still can't
- 10:09work out how to use. She just.
- 10:10Sat on it, she. Just sits on it.
- 10:12She's just waiting for me to push.
- 10:13Do you know what? Do you know what my girl's got?
- 10:16My girl's got Heelys. Do you remember Heelys?
- 10:18Oh my. God I love Heelys.
- 10:20You should. I am.
- 10:22They can play with it in the living room.
- 10:24But are we going out in them? Absolutely not.
- 10:26You know my children, they will break ahead or something.
- 10:30I'll only come back with one. I only ever popped my heels out
- 10:34like twice and the last time I did it I did it in my bedroom
- 10:37and I fell flat on my arse and I never put them on again.
- 10:39So these ones have a wheel at the front and at the back and
- 10:43I've realised. So I'm really basically I was
- 10:47like, well we'll use one wheel to start with and we'll go with
- 10:50the heel. I'd already put the front one in
- 10:53and now they walk around like they're on their tip toes
- 10:55because I won't put the back one on until they used to, until
- 10:58they're used to using the wheels.
- 11:00So they're like, they're walking around like little Penguin.
- 11:04That's hilarious and love, Yeah. I've got I've got to figure out
- 11:07how to take that front wheel out because the back one pops in and
- 11:10out so I can just leave it, whereas the front one just stays
- 11:12out like a rollerblade. Yeah, that's annoying.
- 11:16It's sort of fun in games though, isn't it?
- 11:17I mean, especially when you've got kids at Christmas.
- 11:19It's just, it's a lot, Steve. You're still enjoying actually
- 11:22just being a person that doesn't have children at Christmas.
- 11:25It's just I, I am the. Children so.
- 11:27Jealous, I was going to say. Open something and.
- 11:29I know your family and. Then I'm running bounds and then
- 11:32I. Know your family.
- 11:33I am the. I love that, Steve.
- 11:36I love it. So yeah, it's been a good.
- 11:39It's been lovely, wholesome family Christmas.
- 11:41Yeah. But back to work now, back to
- 11:43reality and back to podcasting, which is so much fun I.
- 11:47Missed you. It's time for this or that.
- 11:55Don't forget you can play along on our Instagram stories.
- 11:58All of our templates are in our highlights.
- 11:59And make sure you tag us because we love seeing your answers.
- 12:03So I have two this week. My first one is this or that.
- 12:08Would you rather go backward 973 years to the year 1053 or
- 12:14forward 973 years to the year 3000?
- 12:19Answers here please. Good one.
- 12:20And it is quite like we've said, it's quite similar to mine, but
- 12:24in a completely different way. I really like thinking about
- 12:27going all the way back to Yeah 10:53.
- 12:33I would probably choose that because you never know what's
- 12:35going to be back there like in that specific year.
- 12:39You never know the little intricacies, things that have
- 12:42happened or how they learn, or you know you've read it in a
- 12:46book, but it'll be completely different to actually experience
- 12:49it. Yeah, you only see that the
- 12:50highlight reel in a book. Don't you?
- 12:52OK, Steve. OK, so you've gone with the the
- 12:55yesteryear choice. I no a fair amount as a teacher
- 13:00about that sort of era. And there was a lot of sword
- 13:02fights and there was a lot of disease and there was a lot of
- 13:06running around each other. There's a lot of Vikings and
- 13:10pillaging and all that. And I just don't think I'm cut
- 13:13out for all of that. Seems like Oh are they on
- 13:16grinder? Vikings going down look at now
- 13:20I'm. Dead.
- 13:26I'm not sure why people ever. I'm not sure the Vikings of 1053
- 13:30would be interested in that sort of pillaging.
- 13:33You never. Know.
- 13:34Well, you never know. Oh dear, no, I genuinely I can't
- 13:39fight, couldn't fight a family. So I would be a really terrible
- 13:42person to be around in 1053. Also triple breasted women in
- 13:48the year 3000. I'm up for it.
- 13:50Sign me up. Why not?
- 13:52Let's go and have a look, see what's going on.
- 13:55I've always wanted a boob job. There we go.
- 14:00Maybe I'll move some of mine to the middle and then I'll have
- 14:02normal sized ones. I love it.
- 14:06I think that would be for me, I would definitely go to the
- 14:08future because I'm not going to live that long.
- 14:10So I would love to go and have a look and see what I'm going to
- 14:13miss out on, if that makes sense.
- 14:14And it's really funny because I was having this conversation
- 14:16with my granddad today. Like he was like, oh, you know,
- 14:18I do worry for your, your MJS generation don't know what the
- 14:22world's going to be like in 50 years time, you know, and I
- 14:26would be here to see it. I'm nearly 97.
- 14:29Do you? Know what, you're right
- 14:31actually, because none of us know what the world's going to
- 14:33be like with especially with things like AI and all of that
- 14:35taking over. Maybe 3000 could be messed up.
- 14:39I'd love, I'd like to see it. I would like to see it.
- 14:43So yes, that's my answer. Shannon, what would you choose?
- 14:47I would probably say go forward as well.
- 14:49Yeah. Yeah, because I mean boobs.
- 14:53You know me boobs, but also like I, I'm, I'm trying to be a bit
- 15:02more active this year, but I'm, I, unless I'm at work, I'm on my
- 15:06sofa. Oh.
- 15:07Snap, babe. Obviously, obviously when I'm
- 15:10like I'm running around after the kids and God knows what, so
- 15:13I'm quite an active person in general.
- 15:15But in my spare time, my time, Shannon's time is on the sofa
- 15:19with a blanket and a good book. Yeah, love that.
- 15:22I don't think I would. I don't think I'd survive.
- 15:25I really don't. They'd look at me and be like,
- 15:28what are you doing? And I'd just be there with 50
- 15:31Shades of grey like. Who's this wench?
- 15:34Who's this? Who's this wench reading
- 15:35Twilight when we're all fighting Anglo Saxons?
- 15:40One book you'd take back with you is.
- 15:42Twilight 100 percent, 100% it would be.
- 15:45It would be the series, Steve, so it's not just.
- 15:46The series. OK the series that's acceptable,
- 15:49that's fine. I bought just a stand alone book
- 15:51that's like just taking prisoner of Azkaban.
- 15:52Like why? Literally.
- 15:54Why would you do that? I love that.
- 15:56OK. Should we should we go to Steve
- 15:58and then me? And then we'll go back to your
- 16:00other one, Shan, so that we sort of do full circle gone then.
- 16:02Steve, Do you want to share yours with us?
- 16:04OK, so this or that. So you would have to either
- 16:10listen to year 3000 at least two times every single day, OK, or
- 16:17you could only see busted once live.
- 16:22No. This is quite an easy one for me
- 16:25because I listen to it more than twice a day anyway, so I would.
- 16:29Yeah, easily, easily see the only ones ever live.
- 16:32That is not enough. Sorry.
- 16:34I need more fat. Will listen in the flesh way
- 16:36more often. Although, although I will say
- 16:42year 3000 not up there with with one of my favourites, but if it
- 16:47meant I could only see them once, then I mean I'm more.
- 16:52That means I'm already in debt. Yeah, I play it a million times.
- 16:57I love that. What would you go for, Steve?
- 16:59I think it's a pretty easy answer.
- 17:00I mean I would definitely listen to year 3000 twice every day so
- 17:04I could see them whenever I wanted like.
- 17:06Whenever. I mean, there's nothing like
- 17:09tour. There is nothing like a tour.
- 17:12It's just. Of his life.
- 17:14Do you know what I do? Because obviously with podcasts
- 17:17and the page and like when we're not great with socials, let's
- 17:20put that out there. We've not got a lot of
- 17:21followers. We're not promoting anything.
- 17:23We just got it there because it's there and we like to
- 17:25interact with people and we love the people that do interact with
- 17:28us. So those of you that are
- 17:29listening, that message and comment and all of those things,
- 17:31thank you. We love you, we appreciate you.
- 17:33We're sorry that we're so shit. We do try, but equally, we are
- 17:3830 something years old, running around after our kids all day
- 17:41and we can't be bothered at the end of the day.
- 17:43Not only that, if I spend any more time on my phone, my
- 17:46husband's going to divorce me. So you've got to put some
- 17:51strategies in place, But I think, you know, it's, it's
- 17:54difficult, isn't it? There's so much to it.
- 17:56There's so many things to building a fan base, and I think
- 18:01having a tour is just something that brings all of those people
- 18:04together. We've made so many friends on
- 18:07our, you know, on our Instagram, all to do with the Busted Versus
- 18:10McFly tour. That's where this came from.
- 18:13That's where this idea came from.
- 18:14That's where it all started. Without it, we'd be literally,
- 18:18well, we'd just be talking to each other about this on the
- 18:20phone channel instead of on a podcast.
- 18:22But also you make friends tour as well.
- 18:27The amount of people I've made friends with in the queue or on
- 18:31the front row or even 1000 feet high in the O2 like you may,
- 18:38you're all there for the same reason.
- 18:39So even if you've got huge political differences or you
- 18:44know, you live on 2 separate ends of the world, or you've got
- 18:47two different backgrounds, yeah, you're all there for the same.
- 18:49You get on so well while you're there because you're all there
- 18:51for the same reason. Exactly.
- 18:53You share the same love. You have something in common.
- 18:55Yeah, yeah, exactly. And like, let's face it, McFly
- 18:59fans are the best. They're just so much fun.
- 19:02I love McFly fans. They're just so, everybody's
- 19:05just so happy and fun and they enjoy music that makes them and
- 19:08laugh and feel young again. And like that, like you've said
- 19:10before, there are lots of young McFly fans, which is amazing To
- 19:14see kids that are like 16/17/18 that love McFly is great.
- 19:18They're in their 40s, you know, they're all, they're older than
- 19:22us that this is our generation of bands.
- 19:24So to know that they're people that are in their teens that
- 19:27still love it, it's just great. Absolutely love it.
- 19:29OK, so my this or that is similar to Shannon's in a way.
- 19:35It is travel back to 2003 to Relay to relive the glory days
- 19:41of Busted in their prime, or travel to the year 3000 to see
- 19:47if their predictions were correct.
- 19:50OK, can I just ask a slight question?
- 19:53This will change my answer I think.
- 19:55If I'm travelling back do they still break up?
- 19:58Yes. Then I'm going forward.
- 20:01I can't go through that again. Relive it.
- 20:04I can't relive that. I get you.
- 20:08The heartbreak was real. The heartbreak was.
- 20:10Real. I will definitely.
- 20:12I mean, I, I, if I could go back my age now to 2003.
- 20:20Oh, interesting. 100% love that. So I'd I'd already know what's
- 20:24going to happen. It's like what should Titanic.
- 20:26I know what's happening I. Think he would.
- 20:27I think that you know how I wrote that?
- 20:29I think I imagined myself travelling back, not being
- 20:33younger, but staying me. You know, like Marty McFly
- 20:37doesn't become like baby Marty McFly.
- 20:39True. True.
- 20:41Yeah. I I would definitely go back to
- 20:44relive with my love now, listening to everything as it
- 20:48came out and being able to see them live and all this and that
- 20:52back in the day, but I wasn't able to.
- 20:54Do that then I actually OK, you've you've twisted my arm.
- 20:57I changed my mind. They changed my answer.
- 21:00Don't jump on the bandwagon. No, I'm jumping on your
- 21:02bandwagon. Shannon's the sheep that
- 21:04follows. I am a sheep and.
- 21:07As much as I want their predictions to be right, I don't
- 21:11think they would be. No.
- 21:13I no they agree I would be out of a job.
- 21:16I would 100% be living on the streets out of a job because
- 21:19some robot has taken it. Honey, we're all living
- 21:21underwater. I can't swim, I'm not going to
- 21:26the water. Imagine how crinkled and soggy
- 21:28we'd be. Can you?
- 21:30Imagine I'm just on the top so I can't.
- 21:33Spin. I'm just with my little arm
- 21:35bands. I've got like a little rubber
- 21:40ring around me in my arm bands. Everyone's living their best
- 21:42life wrinkly underwater. But you'd have your 3 boobs just
- 21:46on top of the. Rubber ring, they would hold me
- 21:48up. They would be your arm band.
- 21:52They would be my armour to be a little flow.
- 21:55I love it. Oh my gosh, that's brilliant.
- 21:57Oh yeah, I I agree. I'd be going back because if I
- 22:00could see busted like again back when they were like 1718, that
- 22:05would just be the best thing ever.
- 22:06I'd love to go on like their first or maybe their second
- 22:10tour, you know, like, is it the Who's David music video where
- 22:14they're walking through a corridor and they've got fans
- 22:17screaming at them? And yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 22:20I would love to be. I'd love to go and see them when
- 22:22they're at that kind of prime. I think because I I don't
- 22:25remember, I've I've seen busted twice.
- 22:28I can remember seeing them twice, like when I was younger,
- 22:30and then I saw the night driver tour and I saw the what was the
- 22:33other tour, that old pigs. Can fly.
- 22:35Pigs can fly tour, yes, that's it.
- 22:38I saw them at Powderham Castle. That was the first time again.
- 22:42I think I was like 11. I don't remember it.
- 22:45Oh, to go back and see them like that again, I would just love.
- 22:48That also you have McFly supporting them.
- 22:51I know, how cool would it be to go back and see little little
- 22:54Tom with his long blonde hair just all flicking to one side?
- 22:57It'd be amazing. I'd love.
- 22:59It I would want to go back just for that one day.
- 23:01Yeah, actually, yeah, just for that, just for that gig.
- 23:04OK. Shan, do you want to do your
- 23:05last one? Yes, my last one is so busted.
- 23:11We're going busted because that's the theme of the podcast.
- 23:14So new albums every year, so new music every year.
- 23:17But they barely tall or next to no new music but consistently
- 23:23touring are the best of. Our brilliant, brilliant
- 23:27question. That's so good, easy answer for
- 23:31me though, I tall, tall. Life is my life.
- 23:35I I need to be on tour. I need to be on tour all the
- 23:37time and I would have. No, then you get no new music.
- 23:39I don't care. And it's just that, the best of.
- 23:41I don't care. I'd never get sick.
- 23:42But then saying that, say look at how much you love Mcbusted
- 23:47Alba. I love.
- 23:48Mcbusted so much. So if they weren't allowed to
- 23:51make new music. I know, but I think like now I
- 23:55don't think they can make music like that anymore because it.
- 23:58That was like. 10 years ago they were literally like 2829, now
- 24:02they're like 40. You know, it's a big difference.
- 24:05Like I'm nowhere near what I was 10 years ago, so I can't expect
- 24:08them to be writing songs like riding on my bike and indoor
- 24:11club. Yeah.
- 24:14And those are the songs that I love because they're so fun and
- 24:17they're so silly and they're just great.
- 24:18And like, that's why. We love.
- 24:20I'm a sensitive guy. Shannon loves that song.
- 24:24I love sensitive guy. So good.
- 24:27So yeah, I would definitely. I'd be happy with no music.
- 24:29You're constantly touring, Steve.
- 24:31What do you think? No music, constantly touring.
- 24:34I mean that is basically me now anyway, so.
- 24:36Easy answer. Whenever I see them come up I'm
- 24:38like boom. Yeah, Do you agree?
- 24:41Yeah, I do agree because if I'm being completely honest, I don't
- 24:45listen to the new stuff anyway. I listen to present for everyone
- 24:49and the self-titled. I mean, I do listen to the new
- 24:52music. That's not sorry you absolutely.
- 24:55Love on what you're on. Sorry, favourite song?
- 25:01Never going to let you live that down, ever.
- 25:03No, but do you know what I mean? Like I, I, I've listened to the
- 25:06new stuff, don't get me wrong. But if I'm going, oh, I fancy
- 25:10listening to Busted today, I don't say, oh, I fancy listening
- 25:13to Night Driver. I say I fancy listening to a
- 25:16present for everyone. Everyone.
- 25:17Yeah, exactly. We're back.
- 25:18We're right back there. I do appreciate the greatest
- 25:20hits album. I did appreciate it.
- 25:22I appreciate the 2.0 with the collabs, some of the more
- 25:25amazing. Absolutely so happy with that.
- 25:28But yeah, if I'm, if I'm 100% honest, busted in their prime
- 25:32and to be honest, McFly too, I do appreciate.
- 25:35But I do appreciate McFly in their prime, like I stay in
- 25:40their prime, but you know, back younger when they're, they were
- 25:43really young and we were like all over them all the time.
- 25:46So they went on a bit of hiatus, didn't they?
- 25:47And they paused and they came back.
- 25:49Like, I know Motion in the Ocean far better than I know the Young
- 25:53Dumb Thrills album. Do you know what I mean?
- 25:55I still know the Young Dumb Thrills album, but I don't
- 25:57listen to it like I do Motion in the Ocean.
- 25:59So it's that nostalgia element, isn't it?
- 26:02That's what we're here for. That's what we're doing, 100.
- 26:04Percent it's time for We are family.
- 26:09This segment is reserved specifically for the family of
- 26:13the members from both bands. We talk about things going on in
- 26:16their lives as well as a little bit about them as people and
- 26:19their little projects. OK, so and this is honest honest
- 26:24truth listers, I wanted to keep this section.
- 26:26Yeah, there's a lot of XS. There's a lot of.
- 26:28Secret. I wanted it a secret.
- 26:30And do you know what? It's going to be real let down
- 26:32when Shannon goes. Oh yeah, I knew that because
- 26:34Shannon knows everything. Right, well, actually in our
- 26:37quizzes, we all know I'm I'm bad at a quiz, so.
- 26:41But I, but I really wanted you to, to hear this for the first
- 26:44time from me. But I you've probably heard it,
- 26:47but it's fine. We may have even discussed it in
- 26:49the past. Shan, I'm just fucking
- 26:51forgetful. It's on episode 10.
- 26:54Yeah, I loved it and I was like, Oh my God, this is amazing.
- 26:57So I was sat here and I was thinking, right, who can we
- 27:00focus on for we are family this week?
- 27:01We've done like a couple of the wives, we've done sisters, you
- 27:04know. So let's have a think about
- 27:06extended family a little bit. So I started searching for
- 27:09extended family of the bands McFly and Busted.
- 27:13I was absolutely blown away four days ago when I found out this
- 27:17fact. So apparently according to a
- 27:19tweet in 2021, it was confirmed by the very person that this is
- 27:24correct. OK.
- 27:26Or you have to. It's not alleged, no.
- 27:29No, no, it was. It was by the person himself.
- 27:33We all know we've been in trouble before.
- 27:35So our very own Dougie Pointer is actually the cousin of Josh
- 27:41Franceski from You Me at Six. Yes.
- 27:45She didn't know it. I just saw.
- 27:46Her I didn't know. Her face.
- 27:50What a family, what a what a dream, Paul.
- 27:54It was just that tweeted. It was just and he literally put
- 27:57like something like Oh my God. Just found out that Dougie
- 28:01Pointer is my cousin. What a gene pool.
- 28:06What on earth? Where is the collab?
- 28:08Because this is the collaboration that I never knew
- 28:11I needed and I'm so sad it did not happen.
- 28:14Like why? Why?
- 28:15I know I actually have no words. Literally.
- 28:18So obviously we got and I've put here.
- 28:21However, we did get XX with XXX on the XXX album, just to let
- 28:25you know. We'll fill those in now.
- 28:27So we did get you me at six on the busted 2 point O album
- 28:33singing Oh my gosh, what what was this song?
- 28:37That's it. That's why I put 3 dots for air
- 28:40and then. There we go.
- 28:43Which was obviously an absolute banger if you ask me, and I'd go
- 28:46as far as saying better than the original.
- 28:49I would go along with you with that.
- 28:51Popular or unpopular opinion? Better than.
- 28:53The I would say usually unpopular, I would say because
- 28:57everyone loves an original. But I'm with you, because
- 28:59anything Josh Franceschi touches turns to gold.
- 29:02Also like he literally makes everything 10 times better.
- 29:05Just that's what I mean, yeah. Yeah, being alive, being alive,
- 29:09it's better because he's also oh.
- 29:10My goodness, I love that. Man, so I thought we could use
- 29:14this section to talk a little bit about Yumi at Six and our
- 29:18love for Josh Franceschi, who is the cousin of Doggie Dougie
- 29:21Pointer Doggie. I've done it again.
- 29:22I've done this doggie. Pointer.
- 29:25I'm sorry, Darl. The cousin of Dougie Pointer.
- 29:28So Shannon and I have been Yumi at six fans for a very, very
- 29:31long time, since we met in. We were 18 when we met, right?
- 29:36And we're now. That young, I think.
- 29:38I'm nearly 33. I think I I'm sure it was the
- 29:41September that I turned, I turned 18 in the in the
- 29:45February. It was the September after we
- 29:48would, I'd have been you'd have been just 18 and I.
- 29:50Just 18. Yeah, because I'm so young.
- 29:53So I I'm so young and carefree. Oh my goodness.
- 29:59So I messaged Steve and I was like, Steve, I need to ask you a
- 30:02question and I didn't give like any context to what it was, but
- 30:06I said I need to know if you know who you meet 6.
- 30:09I know. And if you don't, you need to
- 30:11find out who you meet. 6 is we. Worked out so hard at your
- 30:15wedding. I know the answer to this
- 30:17already. And he?
- 30:18Was like, yeah, yeah, I'm familiar with them.
- 30:21He's like, I'll listen to them a bit more this week just to make
- 30:23sure. Steve's been doing his homework
- 30:27on You Meet 6 but we are very big fans.
- 30:29For those of you that don't know you music, they are AI mean.
- 30:33What would we call them? Soft rock.
- 30:36Don't really, I would say, I would say pop rock or like.
- 30:42Heavier. Yeah, I'd say pop.
- 30:44Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, 100%. Yeah.
- 30:46Definitely more, yeah. I think they're not like is.
- 30:50I think their music has changed a lot over the years and they're
- 30:53like later albums became a lot heavier.
- 30:57You may know you made 6 for songs like Save It for the
- 31:00Bedroom, Stay with Me, which gives me and Shan mems every
- 31:05time because. It was all made in Chelsea once.
- 31:08Little well known fact, we used to be absolute sands for Made in
- 31:13Chelsea. Me and Chan back when we were
- 31:1418. We'd sit in the library at our
- 31:16first university. We met Steve in our second
- 31:20university. Me and Chan went to a university
- 31:22down here in Cornwall and had a terrible year.
- 31:24We did nothing but drink Jägermeister and eat noodles for
- 31:27a whole year. Pretty much listen to your
- 31:29music. And that's why I'm 1000 stone.
- 31:34But we, we had to write our dissertation, Steve.
- 31:37And we sat. And you know what it's like to
- 31:39write a dissertation. Yeah.
- 31:40Can you remember the? Pain.
- 31:43Horribly, yes. All the coffee dates that we had
- 31:46Steve in Starbucks and we sat with Katie Butters.
- 31:48Do you remember in in Cabot Circus in Starbucks, just typing
- 31:51away our dissertations for days. And then, well, me and Shannon
- 31:53also did this, but we did it in the library at Falmouth
- 31:56University. And instead of doing it in the
- 31:58daytime like normal people, we would just sleep in the daytime.
- 32:01And then we just get up, have tea and then go to the library
- 32:04and stay there all night. Yeah.
- 32:06Oh wow. So I have a vivid memory of like
- 32:093 in the morning being in the library and there's still a few
- 32:12people in there and they kept shushing us because we were
- 32:14being so laughed. Oh yeah.
- 32:16We were sat in in the library watching Made in Chelsea and a
- 32:23key episode. It was a really early series,
- 32:26like probably like series one or two.
- 32:28Spencer Matthews was going after Kaggy and she was getting on the
- 32:32plane and he was like, I've got to catch her.
- 32:35I've got to get in a taxi. He's in the taxi and he's
- 32:38rushing to the airport and Stay with Me is playing in the
- 32:40background and I'm in the in the library just going stay with me.
- 32:46With her headphones on so no one around knows what's going on.
- 32:49They can just it's silent and then you can just hear somebody
- 32:54screaming you me as X and screaming the word Kaggy.
- 32:59I would find that fair person and instantly make them my fat.
- 33:04My session with Made in Chelsea was unhealthy.
- 33:07Do you remember? I think Steve, were you there
- 33:09the year that I met Andy from Made in Chelsea at Tunes and the
- 33:13Dunes? Yes.
- 33:16I remember you send me a photo of this.
- 33:18But. I knew, I knew.
- 33:19I got a picture. I was stood in the tent with my
- 33:22mates and I was like, hey, that's fucking Andy from Made in
- 33:25Chelsea. And they were like, who the hell
- 33:27is Andy? And I'm like, I don't know his
- 33:28name. I just know his name is Andy.
- 33:31I'm going to say hello. And I went over and I was like,
- 33:34hi, love your Made in Chelsea. And he was like, oh, thanks.
- 33:36I was like, you're having a nice day.
- 33:37And we were just having a chat. And then Tash came over and was
- 33:40like, do you want a picture? And I was like, OK.
- 33:41And I stood next to him and she was like, put your arm around
- 33:44her. Andy.
- 33:45And I went Tash is going to die of shame.
- 33:50So funny. I was so embarrassed.
- 33:54Give it the hug, Tay. I was like, no like.
- 33:57Not OK. That's so Tash.
- 34:01Oh. Dear But You Meet 6 did a fair
- 34:04amount of songs on things like Made in Chelsea.
- 34:06They also married. Songs.
- 34:08On so many different things, didn't they?
- 34:10Can you remember any? I'm so offended that you just
- 34:14went to move on and you didn't mention take on the world.
- 34:19Oh, OK, you bring it up. I'll leave it to you.
- 34:22Take on the world was played in the final episode of The Vampire
- 34:27Diaries. I genuinely.
- 34:32I don't think I've ever been that emotional in my life like
- 34:35watching the TVI was distraught. When we went to the final, final
- 34:40night of 6 the tour, both times I went, I went twice and I wore
- 34:45my Vampire Diaries T-shirt both times.
- 34:49I remember just to see, just to see.
- 34:51Anybody else? Anybody else?
- 34:54Anybody know? Anyone.
- 34:56Anyone got the memo reference? I'm just pointing at my top
- 34:59because in that bit of the toy, like the he uses everyone's
- 35:04torches, doesn't he? Like the lights go down and we
- 35:07just see a sea of torches and there's everyone's swaying them
- 35:10and I'm just pointing mine towards my top just to see if
- 35:12anyone realises anyone. So good, but they've got some
- 35:17you you meet six are so good because they have some absolute
- 35:20bangers. Let's talk about their first
- 35:22albums where we like I said, we had it's take off your colours.
- 35:26We had save it for the bedroom. We had liquid confidence gossip,
- 35:29all of those gossip, like all of those amazing songs that were so
- 35:36they are McFly busted esque in a way.
- 35:38You know, they tell a story and they're.
- 35:40They really are. Funny.
- 35:42And they've got little like anecdotes in that, you know,
- 35:44that are probably private jokes and.
- 35:46Yeah, Take Off Your Colours is actually what is now and always
- 35:52has been since it came out, in my top five favourite albums of
- 35:56all time. It's my easiest, yes, it's my
- 35:59easiest saying. It's in my top five.
- 36:02That and there's a Panic at the Disco album as well, but those
- 36:06two are right, right up there in my top.
- 36:08They never change, they're always in there.
- 36:11The all of the songs on the album are insane.
- 36:14I remember tigers and sharks. That was a great song.
- 36:17What a jealous minds think along.
- 36:19Jealous minds think alike. That play.
- 36:20Do you remember when I saw the when I went to the final night 6
- 36:23and you weren't there and I was like, Taylor, they started
- 36:26playing a different song and I filmed.
- 36:28Yeah. And you were like, Oh my God, I
- 36:29wish. I was there, I was fuming and
- 36:33you made your bed. That's a great song, but my
- 36:36favourite song was always Attract.
- 36:39I know you're going. To say God, I absolutely bore my
- 36:42eyes out every time I hear that song.
- 36:44It's. Do you?
- 36:44When we learned it on guitar, we did it on guitar.
- 36:46Didn't. We if it hurts this much, there
- 36:49must be love. Ohh God.
- 36:53Really, if it's a lottery, I can't wait to join you.
- 36:59So good. Anyway, for those of you that
- 37:01don't have a clue who You Meet Six are, you're probably
- 37:04completely bored, but we just wanted to give an honourable
- 37:07mention to Josh Franceschi and the amazing You Meet 6 because
- 37:10they are no more Final Nights at Six Tour ended last year and I
- 37:16cried several times but they are massive and and were massive.
- 37:20Did so. And you know what I really love
- 37:21about Unit 6? They always came to Plymouth.
- 37:24They never forgot us down here in the southwest in the tow of
- 37:27the country. Here we are, Devon and Cornwall.
- 37:31Nobody gives a shit to us because we're so far away.
- 37:34We never get the good comedians, we never get the good musicals,
- 37:38we never get the big bands. And there they were.
- 37:40And I remember him saying at the Plymouth gig, some bands don't
- 37:43play Plymouth, but we fucking love you.
- 37:48Because so I saw them in, I saw them in Plymouth and Exeter and
- 37:51I was like, Exeter was a teeny Tony.
- 37:53It was part of a university like Halls.
- 37:55And I was like, how lucky do I feel?
- 37:58Literally, I just have to get on a train.
- 37:59I just, I don't have to like do much at all.
- 38:02Intimate shows really like Cosy and personal.
- 38:06We obviously we have a barrier because how can you not be?
- 38:10I just I lost my voice that night because I screamed so
- 38:13much. At Josh Rogers, so good.
- 38:16Also, whilst I know we're closing out this segment but I
- 38:19feel like we need to tell the world Taylor dated and Josh
- 38:24Franceschi look alike. Her obsession went so far that
- 38:30she found the person that looked the most like him.
- 38:32Yeah, but you know what? I didn't even realise he looked
- 38:34like him until after we broke up.
- 38:38Damn it. That was one day he changed his
- 38:40profile picture and I was like Josh.
- 38:42Oh, no, wait. That's not Josh.
- 38:44Why have you done this now? Why didn't you do this two years
- 38:46ago when we were dating? How'd this happen?
- 38:49Things would. Have been so different.
- 38:51He does still look like him a little bit.
- 38:54It's, yeah, it's weird. It's a weird thing.
- 38:56But I mean, Josh is better, obviously.
- 38:58He's. Money bags.
- 39:01So much bad, so much bad. Oh dear.
- 39:05Yes. Well, thank you very much for
- 39:07you, me at six and Dougie Pointer, who knew the cosm of.
- 39:11John Lewis What a temple, What a gene pool.
- 39:16It's time for Song of the Week. This week we are super excited
- 39:20because we get to talk about one of the most remembered songs
- 39:24from the early naughties, Busted the year 3000.
- 39:43It was released on 13th of January 2003 as the second
- 39:47single from their self-titled debut studio album Year 3000
- 39:51reached #2 on the UK Singles Chart.
- 39:54Can't believe it was. Number two, yeah, right.
- 39:57Only #2 absolutely. Fuming.
- 40:00Yeah, right, right. So let's get straight to it.
- 40:03Ratings out of 10 and what we like and dislike about the song.
- 40:06Steve, as our guest, we're going to put you in the spotlight,
- 40:09first mate and. Then we're just going to copy
- 40:10all your answers, Steve, OK? Yeah, like before.
- 40:13That's fine. I don't.
- 40:15Think sham can because it's going to be higher than 7.
- 40:20So for this oh shade shade already.
- 40:24Shade has been. Thrown for me, it's a nine.
- 40:28It really is. It's all the way up there.
- 40:30Like every now and then I'll be like not today, but the feelings
- 40:36it gives me just to go back into my childhood and reminds me of
- 40:40every school disco I ever went to all the way up there.
- 40:45Yes, Steve clapping. I'm clapping with my clicky
- 40:48fingers. I agree.
- 40:51I completely agree. Next time.
- 40:54I think I'd give it a strong 8.5, Yeah.
- 40:57And I think Shannon's face, everybody, you can't see it, but
- 41:02she just pulled the upside down smile, the upside down smile
- 41:05face, which is always scary. My dad thinks we're garning when
- 41:09I make. I'm like, look at this photo.
- 41:10It's so funny. And he's like, why are you
- 41:12showing me a photo of you garning?
- 41:13No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I don't do drugs, this is just
- 41:19what I look like when I'm feeling awkward.
- 41:22So yeah, a strong 8.5 again. It's the nostalgia element for
- 41:26me. How can you not like this song?
- 41:28It's, it was so in its time, it was so iconic because it was so
- 41:33different to anything that we were listening to.
- 41:36If I think back to we were listening to like Britney and
- 41:39like the Backstreet Boys and like Avril Lavigne and Pink,
- 41:42like they, they didn't sing about things like this.
- 41:45They sang, they sang about real life and love and, you know,
- 41:48being rebels and that sort of stuff.
- 41:50But to have a song that was literally talking about what the
- 41:53future might be like was just so cool.
- 41:54I just remember really loving it.
- 41:56I remember doing the jumps off my bed and learning to have the
- 42:00air guitar. And I just, yeah, absolutely
- 42:03love it. And again, if you, if I play it
- 42:0510 times, I only skip it once. It's one of those things.
- 42:08It will be a very rare occasion that I skip it.
- 42:11It's not not a skip song for me at all.
- 42:13Shannon, Are you ready to devastate the world of Busted?
- 42:16Fans, I feel like anybody that's listened to every episode of
- 42:19this is going to be like, why is she on this podcast?
- 42:21Why is she? Even doing this podcast you can
- 42:23just take Shannon's place from. Now on yeah, I do it.
- 42:25It's fine. OK, so.
- 42:27Now it's Tales 2. I give it a six.
- 42:35The silence, the. Silence is deafening.
- 42:39I like, I do like the song. I like the themes of this song.
- 42:42I like the fondness of this song.
- 42:44It's just not a song that I choose to play.
- 42:47If I'm like, oh, I want to listen to Busted, I go to She
- 42:50wants to be me. I go to Nerdy, I go to Britney,
- 42:54I go to, you know, those songs before I would go to.
- 43:01But then it could be because I like absolutely annihilated it
- 43:05when I was younger and I'm just like, do you know what I mean?
- 43:09Because it is one of the hits and I feel like I feel the same
- 43:12about most of the hits from both bands to be honest.
- 43:16And I think it's because it's so the songs are so good that they
- 43:20are overplayed on music channels when I was younger and I used to
- 43:23watch them or they're overplayed on the radio.
- 43:26Or if you hear like this is in general on any radio station,
- 43:31they're going to play a Busted or a McFly song.
- 43:34It is * Girl or Five Colours. It is year 3000 or Air Hostess
- 43:39or what I go to school for. So although I do like it and I
- 43:43like the themes of it, I don't choose to listen to it.
- 43:46However, if it came on, if it comes on in the supermarket and
- 43:50I'm walking around, you bet you I'm dancing down the aisles.
- 43:52I'm. Also recording myself and
- 43:54sending a video to you to say. Yeah, this is what I mean.
- 43:59Like I wouldn't choose to listen to it now.
- 44:03Like I wouldn't choose to listen to it.
- 44:05However, it's not bad song. It's not lower than five.
- 44:08It's still a really good song. I just think it is over
- 44:13saturated, Yeah. However, like I say, every time,
- 44:17every single time I say this live is 10 out of 10/10.
- 44:21Yeah, 10 out of 10. Always, always.
- 44:23I get it, room just erupts. Those cannons, those jumps,
- 44:28those got flames that come out that almost burnt us when you
- 44:32were pregnant. Oh my.
- 44:33God that we were so close to fire.
- 44:35It was unreal. We were sweating.
- 44:38I have never sweat like I sweat in there in my life.
- 44:41It was the middle of June. We were literally was it June?
- 44:44Was it end of summer? Something like that.
- 44:47It was so hot. We were, all of us were already
- 44:50hot and then they put fire on and we were like.
- 44:53This is a joke. Like.
- 44:55And we were kind of Matt Willis, so we're sweating already.
- 44:58Everywhere, every area of my body just sweat.
- 45:04Yeah, I think. Yeah, I think when you hear the
- 45:08me, me, me, me in the beginning, you know the like little like
- 45:13the synthesiser in the background and then you hear
- 45:16the. Did it?
- 45:17Did it? Did.
- 45:18It. Did it.
- 45:19And you're like, oh. My God, this is just too good.
- 45:22So it's just. The beginning of it for me, as
- 45:24soon as I hear that little bit at the beginning, if that's it,
- 45:26I'm like jamming, my head's rocking, I'm in the car, I'm
- 45:29turning it. Up.
- 45:30I'm right. Do you know what?
- 45:31If I had busted on shuffle in the car, I wouldn't skip it.
- 45:35I wouldn't. It's not a sketch on Yeah, yeah,
- 45:38but yeah, it's not a song I would like.
- 45:39I'm not like, oh, I'm really in the mood to listen to year 3000.
- 45:43Yeah, I get you. I get you.
- 45:45OK, so we've talked about the song, we've given our rating.
- 45:47Shall we talk about the infamous music video?
- 45:51Because how much is going on in 3 minutes and 17 seconds?
- 45:55Because it's actually a bit mental.
- 45:57So good So. We've all thought of like we,
- 46:01we've all watched the video and we've all got something that
- 46:03we'd like to sort of talk about. So Steve, do you want to talk a
- 46:07little bit about yours first, because I know you had something
- 46:09that you wanted to mention about the music video that you liked.
- 46:13Yeah, so I just found it hilarious how they go to and
- 46:19show their future selves 1 by 1. I love it and it, but it all
- 46:23kind of matches who they are like like within the band.
- 46:29So you have Matt, who's the funny one.
- 46:31But of course when he looks back, he's bold with a beard,
- 46:34but I could see him rocking that in the future.
- 46:37You were the only one that was actually kind of good looking
- 46:41was Charlie, and he was like the good looking one back in the
- 46:44day. I just thought the perspective
- 46:46of it was really interesting. Yeah, that's so cool.
- 46:49And it is an interesting thing to sort of think about, isn't
- 46:51it? Like what your future self is
- 46:53going to be like? Because even thinking like we're
- 46:55in our 30s, even thinking like 30 years ahead, we're going to
- 46:58be like in our 60s. Oh my goodness, do you want to
- 47:02throw a home? I'm going to lie, but this is
- 47:04what they're doing. You know?
- 47:05They're thinking about their future selves and what they're
- 47:07going to look like. It's just weird.
- 47:09It's a weird concept. I like it though.
- 47:11I think it's really cool. Like the fact that they think in
- 47:13the year 3000 they're going to be alive.
- 47:16Yeah, well, yeah. Obviously, busted is forever.
- 47:20I know of course, in every single way I remember, I love
- 47:25about this. This video is at the beginning.
- 47:27Within like the first sort of 10 seconds, you see them jumping up
- 47:31and down in this room and the room is blue and there's posters
- 47:34on the wall and there's pictures and then they've got guitar and
- 47:37they've got their bed. They've got like a chair in the
- 47:39corner and albums and photos all over the floor.
- 47:43And I remember, I can't remember if it was in a podcast or in an
- 47:45interview they saw and they talked about how this was based
- 47:49off of the actual house that they lived in.
- 47:52So they all moved in. Yeah, they all moved in together
- 47:56into this house. And, and McFly also moved in
- 47:59together very, very early as well.
- 48:01And the bands did spend some time together when they were
- 48:04young as well. So there was a lot of like
- 48:06intersecting going on, but they. Did a lot right in together,
- 48:08didn't they? So they did.
- 48:11But I also heard that they were kept that McFly were actually
- 48:14kept away from busted by their managers because.
- 48:17I've seen this in a podcast. Were quite like.
- 48:20It was they were like, they were kept away from Matt, weren't
- 48:23they? Because he was like on drugs and
- 48:27drinking and stuff and they didn't want yeah.
- 48:30That sort of it was the instigator, yeah.
- 48:33It was on the On the Men's podcast.
- 48:35That was it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 48:37But I love that they and they've got this.
- 48:39I'm looking at the picture of their room right now and they're
- 48:41just in there. It looks like a bedroom.
- 48:43And I remember watching this video online and it was of
- 48:47Busted's house and it was them getting, it was James like
- 48:50filming himself and he was like, right, we're going to go and
- 48:53wake up Matt. And then they get goes into
- 48:55Matt's room and then he goes into Charlie's room and one of
- 48:57the rooms was a blue like this. See, when I see the video, it
- 49:01makes me think about that. And you know how that was their
- 49:03actual lives? Like they just lived in this
- 49:05house together. They were all like 17/18/19 and
- 49:09they just all lived together. And it just reminds me of like
- 49:11uni days and like living with your best friends and like
- 49:14having the most fun. We used to get the guitar, I was
- 49:16out on our ukuleles and we used to just sing in the garden and
- 49:18we'd be drunk all the time and nobody knew where anything was.
- 49:21Everything was everywhere and you would steal each other's
- 49:23cheese and milk and you just be pissed off all the time.
- 49:26And it was just so many things going on.
- 49:28And I just, every time I see this opening bit, I just, it
- 49:31makes me feel like I remember that feeling myself as well as,
- 49:34you know, I think they've also got a poster on the wall of a
- 49:39girl who looks like she doesn't have any clothes on the top half
- 49:43of her. And she's like leaning over on
- 49:45what looks like a in the bed and she's got long dark hair.
- 49:48It's, it's a bit bit naughty actually.
- 49:50I, I feel like I've seen that picture.
- 49:51I feel like it might. Maybe it was like Christina or
- 49:54somebody like that. Before or it was on your wall.
- 49:57Maybe it was, who knows. I can tell you something it
- 50:01wasn't. On my it wasn't on Steve's.
- 50:05Actually, it might have been by my brother and I ripped that
- 50:08shit down. I was like, no, it hasn't got
- 50:11tap. It's not musical theatre
- 50:13related, no. For those of you that haven't
- 50:16guessed so far, Steve is gay if we have.
- 50:22The Viking grinder reference wasn't enough.
- 50:26Steve doesn't know it himself, but he's gay.
- 50:30I like busted. I jumped to that song.
- 50:35You do. I love it.
- 50:36But yeah, very strange little post in the background.
- 50:38There's loads of weird posters. There's another one in the
- 50:40corner which looks like cleavage.
- 50:41I don't know. They're obviously.
- 50:44It's like a teenage boy. It's.
- 50:45Gross. Looking at it, I can smell it.
- 50:47Do you know what I mean? Can you smell a picture?
- 50:52Shannon, do you want to tell us what you like about the video?
- 50:55Well, I have two things really I love.
- 50:59We cannot watch this music video without referencing Chris
- 51:02Bourne. Obviously.
- 51:04Love him, love him. I think he's phenomenal in it
- 51:07and I love that he like still holds up so dear now.
- 51:11But also I, I, when I watch this video, this is the era of busted
- 51:17that I see when I like, if you think about busted in general in
- 51:21like everyday life, if you're not like watching something or
- 51:23if you basically if you like talking to somebody about it, I,
- 51:28this is the era. That's what they look like in my
- 51:30head still, with the blonde and black hair and the.
- 51:35Matte. Swoopy, the swoopy, slightly
- 51:39greasy hair from James and the the really, really, really baggy
- 51:44trousers to the point where you're like, do they fit you?
- 51:47Are they your older brother's clothes?
- 51:50Yeah, I love it. Yeah.
- 51:52I just love the aesthetic of it. I just think that they look like
- 51:56they look exactly how I picture busted in my head.
- 51:59I love Charlie's outfit in it. He's wearing like a blazer and
- 52:04the blazer has got it says year 3000 in words like on his pocket
- 52:10square. It's so cool.
- 52:12It's such a look. It's such a look, isn't it?
- 52:14Like and Matt with his pinstripe trousers.
- 52:17I'm so. I love them, yeah.
- 52:19And. Do you know what?
- 52:20We still see this amazing, like, cool fashion from them even now.
- 52:23And the fly boy's the same. They're very stylish.
- 52:26They're very, very stylish. I feel like their fashion has
- 52:30not changed at all, but it has grown.
- 52:33Do you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah.
- 52:35So they've. Grown.
- 52:36I mean that is. Apart from Dougie, who's just
- 52:38wearing duggies. So Dougie is now dressing like a
- 52:42toddler. But the rest of them that look.
- 52:46Can we have a moment for Dougie's pirate face?
- 52:48Because I was here for his pirate face.
- 52:50I was so here for the pirate face.
- 52:52Bandanas and his little neck scarf and like his jeans.
- 52:56And I love it. I love it, absolutely love it.
- 52:58Dougie with long hair is like how I imagine that my mum looks
- 53:03at Jon Bon Jovi. Oh yeah.
- 53:05The long Do you know what I mean?
- 53:06The. Hat do you know the?
- 53:07Picture I'm talking about. I do I like.
- 53:10Round rim, hat on and his hair is long and it's like a black
- 53:13and white photo. Yeah, that's what I mean.
- 53:15He's like mine. Jon Bon Jovi.
- 53:18Yes he is. Yes he is.
- 53:20I love it. Can we also just have a quick
- 53:22moment for the anime animations in this video because it's so
- 53:25cool. Good.
- 53:27They put time. Oh my God, it's amazing.
- 53:29They mix animation like with real like with real life.
- 53:34It's pictures of like them walking past animations in the
- 53:38hallway and like a robot like watching them and it's just so
- 53:41cool. I just think it's.
- 53:42For the time, it was really like.
- 53:45Yeah, very cool. And also there's the triple
- 53:49breasted women moment, which is just phenomenal where they're
- 53:52wearing the bras and they they take the bras off and they throw
- 53:56them at the boys in the car and they're like.
- 53:58Swinging and. They're all like, after them,
- 54:00yeah. And they're in the car just
- 54:02holding the bra like, Oh my God, I think it's.
- 54:05Charlie and Matt just fighting over like, bullying.
- 54:08And. Like yes, I got this absolutely
- 54:10love. It of course he is.
- 54:11Of course he is. I mean, obviously when we look
- 54:14at the animations of that now, it looks terrible.
- 54:16But back then in what do you? That's what I mean, yeah.
- 54:19It's really futuristic for them. Yeah, and also looking back on
- 54:23it now, it gives me like Futurama vibes, like the style.
- 54:27Of the animation. Like with the robots and the
- 54:30ships and everything. Really.
- 54:32Yes. Like it really throws me to like
- 54:34Futurama. Maybe not The Simpsons so much
- 54:37because it's not yellow, but yes.
- 54:39You get because it's not yellow because.
- 54:41It's not yellow, I get. It I get it.
- 54:44It is an epic, epic music video for an epic song.
- 54:50Now, we couldn't possibly talk about this song without
- 54:52mentioning the infamous cover by the Jonas Brothers.
- 54:56In 2006, the Jonas Brothers released this cover with the
- 55:00permission of James Bond on their debut album.
- 55:02Little did he know that they would later become huge, and
- 55:06most American fans of the song only actually know the Jonas
- 55:09Brothers version. This is actually shocking.
- 55:12I swear down I saw this. It was Instagram that that made
- 55:16me point this out. Can I before we move on further?
- 55:20Yeah, sorry, sorry. I just wanted to say that my my
- 55:25Jonah's Brothers rating is higher than the busted one.
- 55:29If you can see mine and Steve's face right now, I think Shannon
- 55:33may have just got disowned. And if you're not getting kicked
- 55:35out of the podcast before, you are now.
- 55:38On Facebook like. Shannon is a very big Jonas
- 55:42Brothers Stan, right? Let's.
- 55:43Put it I I loved them so much when I was younger.
- 55:47You, you actually don't understand.
- 55:49I was like curly haired. Nick Jonas was the man of my
- 55:55dreams. Like Charlie Simpson broke my
- 55:57heart. This guy picked it up.
- 56:00Picked it back up again. Camp Brock, Curly, that song
- 56:05introducing me, Oh my Jesus Christ.
- 56:07But even before that, I used to, me and my friend Tara, when we
- 56:12were in secondary school, used to use it to not do it.
- 56:17And we would, we would go on like it was like called like
- 56:22Radio Disney or something. And I would listen to their
- 56:25music all the time. And I thought I was so cool.
- 56:28I thought I was listening to like an underground artist
- 56:31because no, no one around me knew that.
- 56:34Yeah, no, yeah, yeah. And I was.
- 56:35Very married. I was definitely with You Can't
- 56:39Rock and even their stuff, not with Disney like Lovebug.
- 56:43Lovebug's so good, yeah. They are such a good and.
- 56:47That's how we roll. Like when you look me in the
- 56:50eyes, they're all, they're so, so good.
- 56:54I will say, I think the only reason why I rate it higher is
- 56:58genuinely because I didn't listen to it that much.
- 57:02So when I listen to it, it's like, oh, a little nod to when
- 57:05I'm a little nod to when I was younger.
- 57:08Whereas I listen to Busted so much that it's like there's no
- 57:11nod there. Do you know what I mean?
- 57:13Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's just a shove.
- 57:16It's a It's a big old shove. I remember seeing a video of
- 57:20them singing on tour the year 3000 and like so many people
- 57:24comment in underneath like this is such a like this is one of my
- 57:28favourite songs. And then like one person put the
- 57:30everybody does everybody know this is a busted song?
- 57:32And then people like who's busted?
- 57:34And I was like, mate, I'm not. I was literally like ready to be
- 57:38a keyboard warrior like these girls.
- 57:40Like he's busted. This is the Jonas Brother.
- 57:44Yeah, I. Got like the no the the Busted
- 57:47did not do well with this song. Shut up.
- 57:51Yes, they only lasted 2 years. OK, That's not their fault.
- 57:54Blame Charlie, don't blame James and Matt.
- 57:57Blame Charlie, he saw. The he saw the error of his ways
- 58:0010 years later. Do you know what I mean?
- 58:02It took a while, but you know, he got there in the end.
- 58:06I just can't believe people don't know this is a busted
- 58:08song. It's such.
- 58:09AI know that does trigger me. I think as well for me it's the
- 58:14lyric changes because they made it so family friendly.
- 58:18Yeah, it was for Radio Disney. It was like.
- 58:20Shut up. That's the reason they had to
- 58:22change it because the Disney didn't want them to say your
- 58:26girl's fine and. All this and that.
- 58:29This song is about boobs and fancying your great great
- 58:35granddaughter. I'm sorry nobody cares enough to
- 58:39this about boobs. Let's just put it out there
- 58:41that. Is also a main reference to the
- 58:44movie that the song's based on. Exactly and not.
- 58:48Because Marty. Because Marty's mom was in love
- 58:51with him. Exactly, people.
- 58:54People are and the pussyfoot around things like this and I'm
- 58:58not here for it. This is not this is not like a
- 59:01kiddie, you know, 10 year old song.
- 59:05It's a stupid song that we all loved when we were young
- 59:07teenagers that we thought was funny.
- 59:09Don't be changing it. Sorry.
- 59:11Do not be changing it. I'm not here for your great,
- 59:13great, great granddaughter who's doing fine.
- 59:15No, no. I want to know what she looks
- 59:18like. She's pretty fine girl, you know
- 59:20what I mean? Like.
- 59:22And also girls. Girls there with round hair like
- 59:26Star Wars, float above the floor.
- 59:30I'm sorry, where does that even fit in the song?
- 59:32That's the triple breasted women line.
- 59:34No girls there with round hair like Star Wars floater above the
- 59:40floor. That's how that goes, no?
- 59:42No, no. Shocking.
- 59:46That's it. That's all I've got to say.
- 59:48Shocking phonics for you. There's a phonics as well.
- 59:54Shocking. And that makes the first one you
- 59:55said actually acceptable. Doing fine.
- 59:58I can have that now. Why add that?
- 59:59Star Wars? Why that?
- 1:00:00Doesn't make any sense because they don't.
- 1:00:02They didn't want the triple breasted women lying in there.
- 1:00:05And they changed Michael Jackson to Kelly Clarkson, which I can
- 1:00:07get on board with. Some people don't know who
- 1:00:09Michael Jackson is. Now, obviously the younger
- 1:00:12audience might not know him. I don't know, whatever.
- 1:00:15Facts. And I feel like they would have
- 1:00:16though. She and she's she's pretty
- 1:00:18relevant though, isn't she? Kelly Clarkson?
- 1:00:20She's quite relevant. She's Americanized as well.
- 1:00:22I. Love her, I love Kelly Clarkson.
- 1:00:24But, but I don't have any qualms with Kelly Clarkson.
- 1:00:27So you know this is a Jonas Brothers issue, not a Kelly
- 1:00:30Clarkson. Issue actually I love.
- 1:00:32Her fun fact I saw Kelly Clarkson in concert in Plymouth.
- 1:00:36In Plymouth, she was a when she was a young Ting and I was a
- 1:00:40young Ting. It was great.
- 1:00:42I loved it, absolutely loved it. It was the breakaway era, you
- 1:00:45know. Oh.
- 1:00:46My goodness. Oh.
- 1:00:47My God, so good I cried. What a dream.
- 1:00:50So yeah, preferences. I think I've made mine pretty
- 1:00:53fucking clear. Genders.
- 1:00:54Mothers can go down the bloody toilet for all I care.
- 1:00:56This is a busted song, nothing else.
- 1:00:58Don't change the lyrics, you've ruined it.
- 1:01:02Sorry though. Sorry, Nick.
- 1:01:05And sorry, Oh, what's his name? Kevin.
- 1:01:08Kevin. John.
- 1:01:09What's his name? Kevin, everybody.
- 1:01:11Oh my God, I feel like. Name.
- 1:01:13I am. He's no doggy Point there.
- 1:01:16Is he? He's no doggy pointer, Shannon.
- 1:01:20He's not, but he's he. Is no, no, sorry, I'm not up for
- 1:01:24it. So yeah, anyway, obviously
- 1:01:27Shannon prefers the Jones Brothers version.
- 1:01:28I think we should. We've already established that,
- 1:01:30Steve. Only but like nought .5 only
- 1:01:32nought .5 mile. It's still too much.
- 1:01:35It's still not .5 too much I mean.
- 1:01:38Good, Steve. So I I do like it in some ways.
- 1:01:44I don't like the word changes because that triggers me no
- 1:01:47matter who does that. Yeah, but I just feel like
- 1:01:51they've made it too Americanized and there's extra things in the
- 1:01:55tuning to make kind of fit with their flow.
- 1:01:59And like I've said before, I love Joe Bro, like I love them
- 1:02:03Joe Bro, but they can't do that. And it's like even Matt said
- 1:02:09when Jonas Brothers did the cover, he was like, then when
- 1:02:16they finally came together, he loves that version.
- 1:02:19Oh yeah, it was good. It was good when they came
- 1:02:21together. Yeah, yeah, I'll, I'll give them
- 1:02:23that. They sang the original so I'm OK
- 1:02:26with it. I'll be in the middle and I'll
- 1:02:29take the 2.0 greatest hits. Thank you very much.
- 1:02:31Yeah. OK, We'll let you off, Steve.
- 1:02:33I'll let you off. I just think it's interesting to
- 1:02:35know that James, like James, told the story.
- 1:02:38It was a podcast. I can't remember if it was the
- 1:02:39Nikki Byrne podcast or another one that I heard James Byrne,
- 1:02:42James Bond was on. But he did say that when his
- 1:02:46management sort of pitched this idea that that there was a small
- 1:02:49and up and coming band in America that we're looking for a
- 1:02:53song and they really like the year 3000.
- 1:02:54And they were really interested in sort of like having the
- 1:02:56rights to it so that they could perform it and do like a their
- 1:02:59own version of it. And he said that they didn't
- 1:03:02really seem they like they were going to be very big.
- 1:03:05He didn't know that, you know, there was a lot of traction
- 1:03:07behind them or ever. And then he said he released the
- 1:03:09song to them. And then within like a year, it
- 1:03:11was just like everywhere. And then within a few months
- 1:03:13they just become this massive band.
- 1:03:15And within a year, they were just huge and the song was just
- 1:03:18there and that was it for that. The American audience have
- 1:03:20busted. They didn't really know them
- 1:03:21anymore because they were listening to it.
- 1:03:23This is the Jonas Buffers version.
- 1:03:25Don't you think that just says so much about James Bond's
- 1:03:28writing though? I love him so much.
- 1:03:30How nice is that though? Like he was just like, yeah,
- 1:03:32it's cool, let them have it. Like what?
- 1:03:33He yeah, like his big. Songs like.
- 1:03:37And it's also one of their biggest hits, like naturally
- 1:03:39insane. They are huge and especially in
- 1:03:42America and you how like it just says so much about James's
- 1:03:48writing that that this huge band, One of their, if not their
- 1:03:52biggest hit is written by him. Exactly.
- 1:03:58That the band and the and the people performing it doesn't
- 1:04:02really matter because it's going to be a.
- 1:04:04Hit. It's a good song exactly because
- 1:04:05of the song. He's a very, very clever man.
- 1:04:07Isn't he a worm? Isn't it?
- 1:04:09James EB, We love you. OK, so the final question I've
- 1:04:14put before we close off for today's episode because we're
- 1:04:16already around an hour. How have we done it?
- 1:04:18We do this every time is having a think about what we predict
- 1:04:23the year 3000 might look like. And I thought this would be
- 1:04:25quite cool way of just like rounding it off for us, sort of
- 1:04:28making our predictions. I had a little think about it.
- 1:04:31I think there will be a lot of like robotic AI sort of
- 1:04:38involvement. I think there will be barely any
- 1:04:40jobs left because I think a lot of them will be being run by
- 1:04:44robots and AI and that sort of stuff.
- 1:04:46And I think that it's going to put a lot of people out of work
- 1:04:49and that people will almost go into like, without saying The
- 1:04:53Hunger Games, The Hunger Games. Do you know what I mean?
- 1:04:56In that like, you know, like that sort of living.
- 1:04:59They're just like, yeah, living by district and living off the
- 1:05:02land and living by trade and living, living like that.
- 1:05:05Because people aren't going to have jobs, so they're not going
- 1:05:07to have money. So, you know, money is going to
- 1:05:09become a digital thing. If you've got it, you've got it.
- 1:05:12If you haven't, you genuinely haven't.
- 1:05:13And that's it. There's no in between.
- 1:05:15There's no, oh, yeah, I've got a couple of grand in the bank and
- 1:05:17there's no like, Oh yeah, I've got millions.
- 1:05:20It's going to be millions or nothing.
- 1:05:21That's how I see it. I think that we are going to
- 1:05:24turn into very, very lazy people because people are going to be
- 1:05:29doing our jobs for us. For those of us that want to
- 1:05:31continue living, you know, the way that we should be living,
- 1:05:35then that'll be fine. But for a lot of people, it will
- 1:05:38make people very, very lazy. I think we'll just all become
- 1:05:41big fat slobs that do everything online.
- 1:05:44Oh my God, it's Wally. It's worth Wally.
- 1:05:48So yeah, robots and and us all being fat and lazy and maybe The
- 1:05:51Hunger Games just chucked my microphone into my boobs.
- 1:06:00Sorry everyone. Anyway, yeah, say what you
- 1:06:04think, Shan. I think, well, to be honest,
- 1:06:09when I think of what it looked like, half of what I think is
- 1:06:13already is already summoned. Like I think, you know, like
- 1:06:18people currently that have the money for it can walk into their
- 1:06:22house and go lights on, yeah, like curtains open, windows
- 1:06:29open, blah, blah. It is going to be a very AI kind
- 1:06:35of lead society, but also I think there's going to be huge
- 1:06:40backlash of it. I don't think people would give
- 1:06:44up their livelihoods or their or their jobs or whatever without
- 1:06:51going down singing. Do you know what I mean?
- 1:06:52I think the. Creatives of us will.
- 1:06:55Yeah, creative people. But.
- 1:06:56Also, I see like, you know, the people at the moment that are
- 1:07:01like close the borders. Do you know what I mean?
- 1:07:03I see those kind of people really like fighting for their
- 1:07:08their them. Do you know what I mean?
- 1:07:10I see a lot of I just don't see goodness, genuinely, I don't see
- 1:07:17good. I see technology will have come
- 1:07:20on leaps and bounds. I see fashion still being in Y2K
- 1:07:23because let's be honest, that comes around every 10 years
- 1:07:25anyway. Proper.
- 1:07:26We'll be back in the 60s and it'll go through each generation
- 1:07:29again. Flares will be back.
- 1:07:30Yeah, Autumn still wears flares to school.
- 1:07:33I love flares. I just bought a pair of jeans.
- 1:07:36There we go. I think like fashion will still
- 1:07:38be like in its in its loop. I think that we're all going to
- 1:07:43be stuck to our phones or the equivalent of I think it's going
- 1:07:47to be very, very technology based world and I think that
- 1:07:51those who like it love it and those who don't fight for it to
- 1:07:57not be how it is. Yeah, love that.
- 1:08:00Very Hunger Games like I see it being.
- 1:08:02It really is. To the death.
- 1:08:04Yeah, one or the other, one way or the other, yeah.
- 1:08:06Yeah, yeah. One then, Steve, give us your
- 1:08:08lowdown on the year 3000. So I kind of, I'm with both of
- 1:08:14you on this one. I do think that technology will
- 1:08:16improve and it will start to take over and, you know, it will
- 1:08:21get to kind of that break where humanity will kind of turn
- 1:08:25around. Like actually, no, like we, we
- 1:08:27need to have our humanity back. You know, when I do feel like
- 1:08:32we're going to fight against it and kind of not defeat it, but
- 1:08:38live Poes distantly in a better place than we are now.
- 1:08:44Like Pokémon? That's no, not like Pokémon.
- 1:08:48That's what that's like. You're enslaved animals.
- 1:08:51No, as much as I love Pokémon, but but no, I think, you know,
- 1:08:56we'll have the battle and we'll come out the other side.
- 1:08:58So we're kind of living pro pendantly where they can have
- 1:09:01their jobs, we can have our jobs.
- 1:09:02There isn't a battle per SE, yeah, anymore.
- 1:09:08I agree. But you know, thinking about it,
- 1:09:11it's 973 years in the future. Do you think that?
- 1:09:16I think there's a very high chance we could back, be back
- 1:09:19where we are now because 973 years in the future we could
- 1:09:24have gone through all of that, beaten the like they could have
- 1:09:27said, do you know what we give up on the AI and gone back
- 1:09:30again. I reckon.
- 1:09:33Some sort of? Time we could be utopia.
- 1:09:35Yeah, true. Some sort of alien invasion,
- 1:09:38maybe, because there's something going on in there.
- 1:09:40Let's face it, there's something going on out there.
- 1:09:42Tom Delong. Tell us not get into this this
- 1:09:47debate anyway, maybe before we get too deep into controversial
- 1:09:54opinions, we should round it off there.
- 1:09:56But we'd love to know what you guys think the year 3000 might
- 1:09:59look like. So head over to our Instagram
- 1:10:01and make sure you comment on our recent post to let us know what
- 1:10:04you think it might look like. Well, here we are again at the
- 1:10:08end of another episode. How time flies when you're
- 1:10:12talking about the future. Hey, see.
- 1:10:14What you did there, indeed, Can we just say a huge, huge, huge,
- 1:10:19huge thank you to our wonderful guest, Mr Stephen Thomas, for
- 1:10:23joining us again. Yeah.
- 1:10:24Please Steve. Steve, you have been our most
- 1:10:27listened to guest so far, so we're very, very happy to have
- 1:10:31you back and very honoured. So thank you so much and we
- 1:10:33really hope that you haven't really hated this and you've
- 1:10:36loved more than every moment and would like to come back and
- 1:10:38visit us again soon perhaps. I'm impossible, definitely.
- 1:10:41Yes, yes. How mad is it that is you were
- 1:10:44only on for half an episode last time and it is literally the
- 1:10:46most listened to guest episode and it was only like a segment?
- 1:10:5015 minutes. Yeah, 20.
- 1:10:51Minutes. I love it.
- 1:10:52I'm going to be. Able to leave my room, my head
- 1:10:54so big. Everybody loves Steve.
- 1:10:58Thank you. Honestly, Steve, we love it.
- 1:11:00Thank you so much. And you're definitely going to
- 1:11:02be a reoccurring guest for sure. We've also got some really
- 1:11:07exciting guests coming up this month, which I just like to plug
- 1:11:10before we leave. We have a wonderful, wonderful
- 1:11:13band called Wednesday at 7 who are going to be joining us for
- 1:11:16an episode at the end of January.
- 1:11:18So we are super excited to have them on.
- 1:11:20They are all about prop rock and do loads of McFly and Busted
- 1:11:24covers on their tours. So we're super excited to have
- 1:11:27them on and they're going to be talking to us in a full feature
- 1:11:30episode. So yeah, keep your eyes and eyes
- 1:11:33out for that one. Yes, definitely.
- 1:11:36And to our listeners, thank you for being here.
- 1:11:38As always, keep your playlist loud.
- 1:11:41And happiness in your heart. Happy New Year.
