- 0:00Speaker 1: Good morning. It is time to go to God in prayer,
- 0:02Speaker 1: and as always I ask that you join along with
- 0:05Speaker 1: me in prayer. I had a listener to call me
- 0:08Speaker 1: the other day and she was just kind of sharing
- 0:10Speaker 1: our heart with me, and I could tell she was
- 0:12Speaker 1: heartbroken by a fence and hurt from people that were
- 0:16Speaker 1: close to her. You know, one of the most powerful
- 0:19Speaker 1: things she said is that you're not responsible for what
- 0:22Speaker 1: somebody did to you. You're responsible for you and your actions.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Nothing is more true. You are responsible for you. God
- 0:30Speaker 1: requires you to walk in love regardless to what somebody
- 0:34Speaker 1: else has done and or said to you. And I
- 0:38Speaker 1: can't stress enough forgiveness does not mean what they did
- 0:42Speaker 1: to you is okay. It doesn't, But you're making the
- 0:45Speaker 1: choice that you're gonna let that stuff go, that you're
- 0:47Speaker 1: gonna do things God's way, Father, God of all mercies, God,
- 0:52Speaker 1: we stand before your presence, God Father, seeking your health
- 0:56Speaker 1: concerning our hearts. You said in your word, and when
- 1:00Speaker 1: we stand praying forgive if we have any aught against anyone,
- 1:05Speaker 1: that our Father, which is in heaven, may forgive us
- 1:07Speaker 1: our trespasses. But if we don't forgive, neither will our
- 1:11Speaker 1: heavenly Father forgive us our trespasses. God, we need to
- 1:14Speaker 1: be forgiven, and we hold the keys to being forgiven
- 1:18Speaker 1: by You if we forgive others. So now, Lord, we're
- 1:21Speaker 1: coming to you asking God for your help. We find
- 1:25Speaker 1: it so hard to let go of the hurt, the pain,
- 1:28Speaker 1: the offense. And we know God, there's an evil force
- 1:31Speaker 1: encouraging us to seek revenge or do something horrible and
- 1:34Speaker 1: response to those who have hurt us. But Lord, please
- 1:38Speaker 1: help us to resume control of our thoughts, of our hearts,
- 1:41Speaker 1: and bringing into it alignment with You, so that we
- 1:44Speaker 1: can easily forgive others and graciously move on with our lives. God,
- 1:49Speaker 1: we're reminded of your words. The heart is to seeful
- 1:52Speaker 1: above all things and desperately wicked. Lord, our prayer is
- 1:55Speaker 1: focusing on our heart because we recall your word in
- 1:59Speaker 1: Samuel the per in first Samuel. For the Lord does
- 2:02Speaker 1: not see the way men sees. The men observe the
- 2:06Speaker 1: outward appearance and make their judgment from that point. But Lord,
- 2:10Speaker 1: you always look at our hearts. We don't want to
- 2:13Speaker 1: walk in on forgiveness and bitterness with an unclean eye.
- 2:17Speaker 1: We're torn in a day and night by the relentless
- 2:19Speaker 1: spirit of offense and unforgiveness and vindictiveness. God, we also
- 2:23Speaker 1: realize that no matter how much we pretend not to
- 2:27Speaker 1: be this way, God, you judge our hearts, You know
- 2:32Speaker 1: our hearts. God, we're asking you to create in us
- 2:36Speaker 1: a clean heart, renew the right spirit in us, restore
- 2:39Speaker 1: the joy of our salvation, and uphold us with your
- 2:42Speaker 1: free spirit in Jesus' name, Amen,
