- 0:00Is there any fear when you're dealing with all violent people?
- 0:03Right. Did you have any fear ever?
- 0:05Yes. When I was coming up in the
- 0:07early 2000s, people were still getting shot like crazy.
- 0:09I would walk in with guns, everything.
- 0:11Oh shit, pistols on me, money, everything.
- 0:13Because we didn't get searched. Next day I might not have no
- 0:15money. And then all of a sudden two
- 0:17days later I got 50,000 again. You know what I'm seeing?
- 0:19Robin's a drug dealer or whatever.
- 0:21We're doing good sports week. So it was constant flaw.
- 0:23The thing with us is why we drew so much attention is that we
- 0:25were actually extremely violent with the money out and crack his
- 0:30head open with a baseball bat. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to
- 0:52Money and Legacy. We are here with our special
- 0:57guest, Mr. Jean Borello Fanner Banano Prime Family Enforcer
- 1:04Trend Second Chance Program affiliate turned best selling
- 1:09author turned social media superstar Gene Barela.
- 1:14What's up, man? Hey, what's going on, guys?
- 1:16So I just want to hit you with a serious question right off The
- 1:19Batman. I don't want to get I don't want
- 1:23to try and get under your skin with this, but I just want to
- 1:25get, you know, right to the point.
- 1:27He's like a pissed Yeah. I mean, I don't, I'm not trying
- 1:30to piss you off, but do you always pull dying piece smoke
- 1:33show models for? Yes, I do.
- 1:35Every talent of mine. Holy shit.
- 1:38I mean, everybody out there watching this, this dude,
- 1:41everybody that he's seen a picture with looks like a
- 1:44supermodel. Yeah.
- 1:46Has it been like that your whole life or what?
- 1:48Always been a ladies. Man, yes, I got lucky with that.
- 1:50Did being affiliated with the mob in your former life being,
- 1:55you know, being in that lifestyle, did that help you
- 1:58with the confidence to go approach women?
- 2:00If you're willing to go beat out of somebody, are you?
- 2:02Are you are you see a hot girl walking down the street?
- 2:05Are you who was just going up in cold approaching her or
- 2:07something like that? Well, in our neighborhood, they
- 2:09drawn to us, so the hottest women like the bad guys were
- 2:12from. So it's easy.
- 2:14They flock to you. Yeah.
- 2:15You know, they want the gang. So that's really what it.
- 2:17Is, you know, a lot of guys just in general, they're afraid to go
- 2:21up to a random woman on the street.
- 2:22No, I take my shot, you know, like out here in Florida.
- 2:25No, you know, like I try, you know?
- 2:27Yeah, but it's not the same as New York, like I had it, right,
- 2:29you know? Yeah.
- 2:33Were you like a celebrity with the women?
- 2:35Well, in Howard Beach, basically we are celebrities.
- 2:37That's it Sounds stupid, but it's true.
- 2:39We run the neighborhood so everyone knows who's who over
- 2:41there. It's like a soap opera.
- 2:43Ozone Park, Howard Beach, all the tiny neighborhoods in the
- 2:45five boroughs, that's, you know, mafia communities.
- 2:47You all know each other. That's so and so with so and so.
- 2:50Right on. So I mean take us back when you
- 2:53when you go out clubbing for example, right, like say you
- 2:56went out to have a good time, what kind of what, what clubs
- 2:58would you go to in New York? Like what?
- 3:00What were the spots that you do so?
- 3:01When I was growing up younger, it was sound factor, then it
- 3:04went to the limelight, the tunnel, and then when you got
- 3:08old, it's like body English. Let's see the other ones.
- 3:12That was really big. 1 oak. 1 oak.
- 3:15I'm sure you know I've been there before, yeah.
- 3:17Greenhouse OK, a lot of rooftops in like the city, multiple
- 3:21rooftops SDK, all those spots. Now, when I was kind of told
- 3:27people, hey, you know, where they would need to be, like,
- 3:29what do people want to know? And everyone I asked there was
- 3:32like how much cash this guy carried out.
- 3:35But like, was it a thing like, you know, like you see these
- 3:36movies and this that the other and I don't think like cheesy,
- 3:39but you know, like where he was like I'm holding X amount of
- 3:42cash. That's a funny story because I
- 3:44mimicked the people I work for. So when you work for certain
- 3:47people, you do everything they do.
- 3:48Like I was sitting like this because Vinnie sat like this and
- 3:51everyone's like, why do you sit like that?
- 3:53I was like, because I just picked it up from him, You know
- 3:54what I mean? So Ronnie G had a habit of
- 3:56carrying a wad of cash like this.
- 3:58And you keep the low bills on the outside and you go up.
- 4:01So it goes singles, fives, tens, 20s, 50s and hundreds.
- 4:04So I mimicked him because he was my mentor, right?
- 4:06So I started carrying wads of cash.
- 4:08All the money you're making and you keep it in your pocket and
- 4:11you go into stores and you, you know, take the rubber off and it
- 4:13looks ridiculous. So much so civilian.
- 4:15Like you have this pot of money like this, you know, and you go
- 4:18to like KFC and you're buying like a take, you know, some
- 4:21chicken got like 10 grand cash on you, like, you know, 20, you
- 4:25know, so that's I'm I mimicked them.
- 4:27So yeah, I would carry like when I was in the street, I was
- 4:30making like at my high. I never lied about the money I
- 4:32make and my high was making 40,000 a month.
- 4:34That was my high plus scores. But like I said, if I was making
- 4:3840, I'd spent eighty. I was horrible a month.
- 4:39I thought it would never end. And you know, so I would say,
- 4:42all right, well, I made this much money.
- 4:44I'm going out party the next day.
- 4:45I might not have no money as in all of a sudden two days ahead,
- 4:47I got 50,000 again, you know what I'm saying?
- 4:49Robbins, a drug dealer or whatever.
- 4:51We're doing good sports week. So it was constant.
- 4:53Flow well, thank God you know it wasn't near the skinny jeans
- 4:56phase because. Before I went away, everybody's
- 5:01wearing like regular jeans. When I came home, I said, what
- 5:03the is this? I said you can't.
- 5:07It's crazy. I said that's the style now.
- 5:10You see someone walk around a fat pocket.
- 5:11Now, yeah, yeah. Say for one of them, for
- 5:18example, right, take us through your night, right.
- 5:20Let's say you don't got anything to do.
- 5:22Like what are you wearing? Like when you go to the when you
- 5:24go to the door, like the bouncers are afraid of you and
- 5:27they just let you no. No, but we have connections.
- 5:29Like we had a connection in posh in Garden City.
- 5:31It was like the hottest place on like a Thursday night.
- 5:33And I was literally hanging out. The New York Mets.
- 5:35Criss Angel. Awesome dude.
- 5:38He's a woman. He gets so many Broads.
- 5:40It's crazy. But I party.
- 5:42But Jose Reyes's brother, the Met.
- 5:44Yeah. Paul Duke, Cliff Floyd and at
- 5:46the mall, nice scat met with Jason Giambi, bought the whole
- 5:48place drinks. Yeah, awesome dude.
- 5:50So we had a connecting there, a guy in my crew named Mike
- 5:53Palacio. He was a big club and he was a
- 5:54made guy and he used to get his walking.
- 5:56I would walk him with guns, everything on go shit, pistols,
- 5:59army money, everything because we didn't get searched.
- 6:01So they the certain guys are like, listen, don't come in with
- 6:05guns. Certain guys know where was
- 6:07carrying. They're like, you know, gonna
- 6:08let you just bring the guys in the clock and get a favor
- 6:10because if something happens, we let you in well checking it.
- 6:13So you know, we had to connect like that.
- 6:15We go up to certain bounces. They just let us run into the
- 6:16side. I don't feel like you're going
- 6:17to a club, stand on the line you're not doing.
- 6:19That No, no, we never did. But you still have to hook them
- 6:23up. So, Karen, you know what I'm
- 6:24saying? How close?
- 6:25They know we're going to get a table and you're going to spend
- 6:26money. So how about this?
- 6:27I probably next to Jr. Smith.
- 6:29Yeah. He didn't spend no money.
- 6:30They don't want to spend no money to so many celebrities
- 6:32don't. So we got a table for 5000 and
- 6:35we're spending money and the bottle waitress is telling us he
- 6:39only a tip up like he's just like yeah, she bugs and we don't
- 6:42want to spend the money so they want us and they fuck the
- 6:44celebrities. They're saying, you know, they
- 6:45don't want to pay certain celebrities.
- 6:47We'll hook them up. KL Smith, tight ass.
- 6:50What are you guys drinking? There, so everyone makes fun of
- 6:52me about this because I'm a gin and tonic guy so I got that from
- 6:56videos out. I mimicked him to obviously
- 6:58drink. That's like a 80s drink, right?
- 7:00So I drink. I still drink it for this day.
- 7:02They call it G and tonic actually.
- 7:05No, that's how I'm drinking. Like you first taste this, that
- 7:07that. Should I just.
- 7:08I don't know. My last name's a ski bro.
- 7:10I can drink everything. Yeah.
- 7:11But when? It comes to that like it's an
- 7:13acquired taste. No, I like that.
- 7:15I actually started like it, Yeah.
- 7:16But then I was big, like, like Grey Goose, Red Bull, you know,
- 7:20like all those mixes. Yeah.
- 7:22And then the champagne CI and the champagne was good, but you
- 7:24throw up a lot. When you throw up from
- 7:25champagne, it's like the actresses, you know, you're
- 7:28throwing up as well. It comes out like water, you
- 7:30know. So I didn't like the champagne
- 7:32the next day, you know? Like 1 Oak for example, one of
- 7:34these clubs in New York. I got banned from there.
- 7:36You got banned? Well, for a while, yeah, we
- 7:38broke. We beat up a guy in there really
- 7:39bad. So we end up not going to go to
- 7:411 Oak no more. But yeah, so it was a great spot
- 7:44for a little while, but we end up getting banned in there.
- 7:46You're touchable base when you walk around, you know some.
- 7:48Gosh, we had it like that. Yeah, where they literally knew
- 7:50the in there because when we would go out with Ronnie G and
- 7:52these guys, you know, remember Ronnie's a skipper, Ronnie's
- 7:55uncle's mob royalty and his salad.
- 7:56So wow. They know because the bouncers
- 7:58get scared if something happens to us and they don't help us
- 8:00because then they think they're going to get beat up by her the
- 8:02next day letting something happen to us regular people, you
- 8:06know, Then they beg. It's not the common weapons like
- 8:08they said. Because Ronnie used to always
- 8:09look at me when we go out and he goes give it to me.
- 8:11I'm like, what are you talking about?
- 8:12Give me the fucking gun. You're not going with a gun.
- 8:14Give me the gun. All right?
- 8:15You put it in the car. All right, whatever I said,
- 8:17we're going to need it there. You see, I saved you the last
- 8:20time. Those 9 Mexicans with the
- 8:21shovels, right? You have done 9 Mexicans.
- 8:23I had two shot dunes. I'm like, back up.
- 8:24I saved this. Yeah.
- 8:26So, so no one knew who you guys are Like it's messing.
- 8:30No, I haven't. Something not everyone knows.
- 8:32Not everyone knows. And plus, like gang members,
- 8:34they don't care. Yeah, they'll go at you.
- 8:36Who's coming? Oh, yeah, they will.
- 8:38They'll go at. You now now I'll tell you
- 8:39getting a fight and you like you know someone calls Ronnie G I'm
- 8:43like, oh, this guy just knew almost shared the club are these
- 8:45seems like dude. That's a good question.
- 8:47I've seen guys get crippled over that.
- 8:48So if they're getting money from the place, like I'll tell you a
- 8:51perfect place that was getting money, Ronnie taking money from
- 8:54real hotspot in Manhattan, Gold ball.
- 8:57So gold bar. It's like a hot spot.
- 8:59Ronnie was getting money out the place and a guy's not true.
- 9:02Got into a fight in there and he said, yo, you guys wrecked my
- 9:05place. The next day, Ronnie, Ricky
- 9:07Kessler and Patagon met up with them and they blackjacked them.
- 9:10I mean, blackjacked Chip. Chip is in skull.
- 9:13That's how bad when you mess with their money, you know what
- 9:15I'm saying? That's like, you know, you're
- 9:16going to, you're representing them.
- 9:18So when you go somewhere you're representing your guy right now.
- 9:20You go make a mockery or so many, you know, Oh, they can
- 9:23throw your beat, and that's 100%.
- 9:25For people that don't know what is a blackjack, can you
- 9:27describe? A blackjack is like a little
- 9:29thing with a piece of lead leather.
- 9:31It's really, you don't want to get hit with it.
- 9:34You don't want to get hit with it.
- 9:35It's breaking things, you know what I mean?
- 9:37I used to use the baton. The one that slides out.
- 9:39Yeah, I that's that's bad too. That's like your weapon.
- 9:42That's yeah, you know, like why? Why is that?
- 9:45Because like when they would send me, they would, it depends.
- 9:47Because like I, I said this on the shows, they're very
- 9:49particular. Like you can't just do what you
- 9:51want when they send you. They'll tell you.
- 9:52Well, listen, make sure you shoot him in his ass or pistol
- 9:55whip them off, break something, do something you have to follow.
- 9:58Then he's very particular. And when he told me, you make
- 10:01sure you tell him is after you do this, you know, that's how
- 10:03they are. So he would tell me breaks on
- 10:05mana. So I know if I hit him with that
- 10:06baton, something's going to break.
- 10:08Oh, it's shattering, you know what I'm saying?
- 10:10So it's, you know, I hit somebody in the ankle, I've shot
- 10:13his hole and he kind of clipped. Yeah.
- 10:14I've shattered people's bones with those things.
- 10:16Yeah. So I know what they do.
- 10:18Most guys anyways, they tend to carry themselves a certain way.
- 10:22Everybody thinks that they're a tough guy, right?
- 10:24Was there any fear when you're dealing with all violent people,
- 10:28right. Did you have any fear ever?
- 10:30Yes, I mean. When I was coming up in the
- 10:32early 2000s, people were still getting shot like crazy in that
- 10:35life. It died out a lot, but the
- 10:36gunplay was still going on. It would be for the Albanians,
- 10:38it would be for these guys. And they were coming with
- 10:40fucking shotguns, handguns. My house got shot with a machine
- 10:43gun, you know what I'm saying? So I was like kind of like the
- 10:45real war still. So that's very nerve wracking
- 10:48because, you know, I would have my girlfriend in the car.
- 10:50I don't think I'd shoot to the car.
- 10:51And I realized she's in there. So it was very, I always have
- 10:53pistols on me. So that early 2000s when I first
- 10:56got involved, it was still like gunplay.
- 10:59It died out, the gunplay, but when the gun plays in effect,
- 11:01it's very dangerous. So I was nervous.
- 11:04Yeah. So it was like obviously the
- 11:05parent penalty a parent originally.
- 11:06Like, yeah, I was doing that shit right.
- 11:09Remember I'm the guy getting sensor.
- 11:10You hate me even though Ronnie sent me to hurt you, you made
- 11:13you're mad at me, right? Right.
- 11:14Not going to get Ronnie. He's a skipper.
- 11:16I'm not. So we're going to go retaliate
- 11:17on G, bro, you know what I'm saying?
- 11:19So that was the problem. Now, another question as far as
- 11:22like how things operate, right, Say you do, you're doing your
- 11:25own side hustle, right, right. And then you're doing stuff for
- 11:27them, right? But say if you see a guy on the
- 11:29street and like this dude owes me X amount of money, blah,
- 11:31blah. And it's it's beat out of sight
- 11:33for you, for your own issue, right?
- 11:35And say, you know, just you smash the shit guy.
- 11:38And the same thing goes back to Those guys are going to be
- 11:41pissed off. Like what?
- 11:42The no like, oh, it's film shit. It depends like mafia politics
- 11:45is like the worst politics. Even in jail, it's the worst
- 11:48politics. We're the most strictest with
- 11:49everything times with the with the rules.
- 11:51And so if the guy's on record with somebody like he's with a
- 11:54pro and I just blatantly go and beat the piss out in front of
- 11:57everybody, yeah, I'm going to be in trouble for that.
- 11:59Even if he owes money, you do a different you bring it to a sit
- 12:00down, they discuss the money. If he chew over then like this a
- 12:04date, let's say they're very strict with things like I'd say,
- 12:06oh, you owe 20,000 you got to give XYZ on this day.
- 12:09If he's not making a payments and you get him, that's
- 12:11understandable. You just go off for it to handle
- 12:14and start beating up people's, you know, guys, you got to get
- 12:16into a situation as long as you don't get locked up and you fuck
- 12:18up their money, correct? You know what I mean?
- 12:20Then they got to bail you out and get your lawyers in the net,
- 12:22you know what I mean? So most guys in our neighborhood
- 12:25don't call cops. They don't want to deal with
- 12:26that because then you got to move.
- 12:27You can't live there no more, you know what I mean?
- 12:29So they didn't want to deal with that soap opera.
- 12:31Yeah, Mafia soap opera. Kind of the cutthroat thing and
- 12:34we're trying to up each other. Yeah, but it's also an ego
- 12:37thing, right? Who got the nitrous cars?
- 12:38Who got the jewelry? You know, remember I was with
- 12:41the wealthiest crow in the whole area.
- 12:43Ronnie G was making 400,000 a month.
- 12:46I'm saying that's like unrealistic money, right?
- 12:48People thought it was exaggerated to the FBI actually
- 12:50said no, he's making 400,000 a month like for years, you know,
- 12:54so there was only another crew that was making money like us.
- 12:57That was our true Gil's crew. That was hoodie, you know my
- 12:59friend hoodie. His crew was the other
- 13:01wealthiest girl, but they were nonviolent.
- 13:03See the thing with us is why we drew so much attention is that
- 13:05we were actually extremely violent with the money.
- 13:08That's why the FBI says we have to get you up to St. because now
- 13:10people are getting shot beat up. This is not the 80s.
- 13:12We're not allowing this no more right.
- 13:14Their true was more like I'll beat you up, but nothing's
- 13:16happening just off a name. Our crew was Ronnie go hop out
- 13:19and crack his head open with a baseball bat.
- 13:21Well, I'm also sure that's the reason why, you know, like, say,
- 13:24if you guys get to say like the loan shark and stuff, like when
- 13:27people borrow money from guys, like, hey, what you got to say,
- 13:29we're going to come smack the shit out of you.
- 13:31You're going to do it. So my, SO my reputation was
- 13:34really bad because I was, I was more strict with Ronnie's money
- 13:37than my own because I always wanted to please that.
- 13:39I wanted to be known as the guy that always got everything done.
- 13:41So they would tell me to do things and I'd have it done in a
- 13:44couple hours and I'd be like, oh, it's done to be like, I just
- 13:46told you to do it. I'm like, yeah, it's done to
- 13:48worry about it. So I would make that.
- 13:49That's how I became their main guy for that department.
- 13:51It wasn't like you're the enforcer.
- 13:53It's just that I was good at that.
- 13:55And they says, well, we'll just keep on doing that with him.
- 13:56He's good at it. He likes to do it.
- 13:58And that's how you get straight out faster.
- 14:00You know, going into this, obviously doing all sorts of
- 14:03crazy, right? Is there any fear of jail or
- 14:08death or right any anything going on in your head with that?
- 14:12Obviously, you know the life that you chose, right?
- 14:14You know what comes with it, but still didn't date.
- 14:16Do you really want to go jail for the rest?
- 14:18Do you really want? You know what I mean?
- 14:19Like, so you're not thinking about that with young.
- 14:21So when I was running around, I started at 18 with them.
- 14:23I started at 16. But I wasn't, not gonna lie, I
- 14:25wasn't a mafia guy at 16, but I hung out with them at 18.
- 14:28I just started with them full throttle.
- 14:30I'm on record now and I'm collecting.
- 14:32I'm doing things right because they look for the worst kids in
- 14:34an but obviously that's what we want.
- 14:36Me and his nephew Bobby G you were doing stick ups are like 18
- 14:39years old bro stitching up guys come out of college games doing
- 14:42We should have been killed like 9 times.
- 14:43If it was a video, Sarah and me being fattening his nephew, I
- 14:46would have been killed 100%. Do you feel like you got away
- 14:49with more than? We stuck up alley Shades.
- 14:52He's a skipper from the Genovese family.
- 14:54His wife. When we shot you with a shotgun,
- 14:57I shot at her to get out the yard.
- 14:58Yeah. I didn't even know she put a
- 15:00little sucky save shotgun on me. Was that where Ronnie came back
- 15:03to your house? No, that was Junior.
- 15:05That was all right. So, you know, the Mafia a little
- 15:07bit. John Gotti's writing him in
- 15:09quack, Quack Angelo Rogerio. We stuck up his game.
- 15:12Oh, no shit. His son's game.
- 15:13And his son was one of the Sounds like one of the most
- 15:16toughest guys in the neighborhood, Junior Rogerio
- 15:17Angelo. He's a made guy.
- 15:19And he liked me, though. Yeah, but I made a mockery.
- 15:22I pissed with the guy and everything.
- 15:24Yeah, it was bad. Now, did you do that because you
- 15:27wanted to assert dominance? No, we didn't even know it was
- 15:29his place. Oh, yeah, We just got the we got
- 15:31put on to a school. Our guys come on. 50 KA
- 15:34Masterpiece Rolex and we got him.
- 15:36You and Bobby got him. Doing it like here and there and
- 15:38get the money, yeah, cool. You could hide that or whatever
- 15:41you got to do, right? If you RIP off like $80,000
- 15:43Rolex right? How do you you heard?
- 15:45Of that I have fences, Diamond District.
- 15:47The guy used to see me to everybody.
- 15:49He knew I had something good from you.
- 15:51Yeah. He was excited when he seen me
- 15:54because we were talking in high end jewelry.
- 15:56And you obviously knew a guy, right, Mom?
- 15:57Yeah, if you sell that in the store.
- 15:59And then some guys like, oh, this.
- 16:00Much diamond district is so crooked, bro.
- 16:02They break down the pieces, they sell out the country.
- 16:04This guy had such a racket going.
- 16:06He's like he would tell me literally he would go Gene the
- 16:09watch is worth 80. I'm going to get this much for
- 16:11it. This is what I'm giving you for
- 16:12it. And he would tell me, break it
- 16:13down. So how much would you get?
- 16:14So watch was 100 Ki would get 50.
- 16:17You get hex, you always get half of what it's worth because he's
- 16:20taking the risk, but he's probably going to sell it for
- 16:2170. He's going to make 20K now watch
- 16:23100%. So we would target like iron
- 16:26jewelry hot. We'd hit jewelry stores.
- 16:28We took a whole jewelry stores in time.
- 16:30So I was extremely out of control.
- 16:31And at the one point Ronnie was in jail, he was actually getting
- 16:33so much word back about me that he was actually starting to get
- 16:36mad at his own life. Taps, he's like tell his kid to
- 16:37stop now he's way out of control now.
- 16:40It's like every day I'm hearing something new.
- 16:41He shot this one, he did this, he's representing me.
- 16:44He's completely out of he's got to slow down South back in the
- 16:47day, what they would do to slow you down is they kill you, not
- 16:50no more. So he basically told me slow the
- 16:51fuck down. I'm going to get you shelved
- 16:53indefinitely, which means you'll never get straightened out.
- 16:55There's complaining, you know, this kid just out of control.
- 16:58He's walking in with axes in a park chasing people like this is
- 17:01this is not the 60s. You know, I'm saying like this
- 17:02keeps going to get everyone locked up.
- 17:03So I was like, I'll calm down. And then you got the Hades in my
- 17:06crew that bolsless guys. They only money guys.
- 17:08They're jealous how much Ronnie and Vinnie loves me.
- 17:11Vinnie won't talk to you if you're not.
- 17:12Vinnie don't respect you. You guys tell them like this.
- 17:14You know what I'm saying? Like a dead fish.
- 17:16Yeah. You know, with these hugging me
- 17:18with laughing. People hated the relationship I
- 17:20had with. Them, No.
- 17:21Was that relationship based on? Well I was related so my uncle
- 17:24Andy and Vinnie Sauer are best friends.
- 17:25My and Jenny and Vinnie Sauer, my grandfather grew up on the
- 17:28same block together since they're babies so I was very
- 17:30close to that family. Me and his nephew are best
- 17:32friends. We're real bad guys.
- 17:33Vinnie likes real bad guys. He likes guys like him to
- 17:36height, skill, shoot, he likes those guys.
- 17:38He always tell me, Gene Keep Rotouri, I want his life to keep
- 17:41going. He wants bad guys.
- 17:42He's just devoted to that life. That's what he was.
- 17:44Yeah, full blown. There's guys that are out there
- 17:46like, oh, I'm a tough guy, blah, blah, but what do colors be
- 17:48like? All right, here's a pistol.
- 17:50All right, let's go do excellent.
- 17:51You have some questions. So he had a lot of incidents
- 17:55like that and then we texted a kid named Frankie Ran and he's
- 17:59always talking about how tough he is and everything like that,
- 18:00but he's shooting people on the lake.
- 18:02So Mike Patavona, he was with Mike Patavona and he goes,
- 18:06listen, he goes, you know, you're doing these ass
- 18:08shootings. He goes, now it's time to step
- 18:10up. It was fixed.
- 18:11All right, we need you to kill this guy.
- 18:13We want you to shoot him a kill. We're going to make him.
- 18:15He always face turned pale wipes.
- 18:16He was scared of that and my pad one goes get the fuck out to a
- 18:20map. You look like he was scared.
- 18:21What do you mean kill him? We what are you talking about?
- 18:24This is what you get caught off on.
- 18:25You're faced with white. He's a loosely paper.
- 18:27We're only 21 years old, 22 years old, you know, but that's
- 18:30our heyday. It's when I was the worst of
- 18:312022 years old. I was like a movie bad.
- 18:34So and I remember that was a test.
- 18:36You know, I mean, because you see what a guy's capability is.
- 18:39Even my partner Bobby Gee, when we got sent to kill Chris
- 18:41Cagnada, he throws up. I shot.
- 18:43He's supposed to be the primary shooter with 16 bullets.
- 18:45I shot my six shots. I was the backup shooter.
- 18:47He botched the whole hit. It's in your book, right?
- 18:49For the touching that when I was reading that book and well,
- 18:52first of all, when I finished the book, I texted man.
- 18:54And they go, man, I'm sitting here to myself and I go, I
- 18:56can't. And honestly, I swear I don't.
- 18:58Like I couldn't remember the last time I finished.
- 19:00The book Why? And this and I'm not trying to
- 19:01blow his team up your ass. I was reading it, reading it and
- 19:03all like sitting back and like this kind of, you know, it's a
- 19:06true story. It's real life.
- 19:08And I'm sitting here like, you know, like I'm fully.
- 19:09Invested in it so the kid we went after was the most
- 19:12notorious, toughest kid in the whole neighborhood.
- 19:14This kid was the worst. Chris Kegnata.
- 19:16They put me on. I told Ronnie he says if we
- 19:18don't kill this kid he's going to come back full throttle.
- 19:19He'll never stop. Remember Ronnie shot his aunt.
- 19:22Ronnie shot his aunt in the ass and Ray and the boss to play the
- 19:24cracking Phoenix daughters over the bottle got sent to kill her.
- 19:27So he already had an exam towards us, but me and him were
- 19:30close friends. How do you think I got next to
- 19:32him? I pulled the I chose the life
- 19:35over my friends. I met up with them and I snuck
- 19:37them. Yeah, that's the situation.
- 19:39And I said, Ronnie, this guys gonna snug stop.
- 19:41You got me shooting a maniac in the arm.
- 19:43Like Amy shot my house with a machine gun.
- 19:45You know what I'm saying? So.
- 19:46You said earlier like I'm just chasing guy with apps in the
- 19:48park, right? Yeah, were you just like looking
- 19:50around? Here's an actually no I.
- 19:52Don't. I don't like tell me if I'm
- 19:54wrong, but you know, it's like, OK, someone's like, hey man, do
- 19:56this to him with this. But if you got your own beef and
- 19:58you're like, or do you still like hit this motherfucker with
- 20:01an axe, dude, the next time I see you like.
- 20:02So I had a thing, I had a bunch of nice 'cause I had AGL 450
- 20:05bench truck, I had a few cars. So I used to have like an
- 20:07apartment. And I'm not lying to this.
- 20:09People that know me have listened to this sort of a laugh
- 20:11of weapons. So I'd have brass knuckles, A
- 20:13Taser gun, Billy club, a pistol station where and I would just
- 20:16pick something that I'm going to use.
- 20:18Literally, I had a weapon draw you in my car.
- 20:20But he used to laugh. I had a mini axe I got from
- 20:22sports star and there's like a mini axe.
- 20:24So I'm dying to put this in somebody's shoulder.
- 20:25You know what I'm saying? So I kept saying I'm going to
- 20:27use this on somebody. I said, and finally those kids
- 20:29at the basketball park, they were like kids from a different
- 20:32neighbor and they're acting tough.
- 20:33I didn't get to use it. But I guess when they see me
- 20:35pull this axe out, they must have said something's wrong with
- 20:37this kid. You got an axe in so.
- 20:42But like I said, a lot of things were going back to my boss when
- 20:45he was in jail and he likes violence, but he's like, listen,
- 20:49remember what happened to Tommy? Dean Goodfellas kept not trying
- 20:51to tell him that you're doing too much.
- 20:53Now I don't bullshit. I tell how it is.
- 20:54One thing why everyone likes me on these channels because I
- 20:56don't make myself bigger than what I was.
- 20:59I was in the bottom with these guys.
- 21:00I was working my way up to other people.
- 21:01I was the guy all the nug young kids come up to Ronnie and
- 21:04Vinnie. I'm working my way up to be like
- 21:05they are. But you taking orders, bro, you
- 21:07don't you tell you don't say no to these people.
- 21:10If you want to prosper, they tell you, listen, go do that.
- 21:12You just go do it, you know, and ask questions.
- 21:13Slow down. I'm slow down.
- 21:16How many times is that? You think that's where you slow
- 21:17up a lot? He was Vinny was getting tired
- 21:20of the sit downs because they were respect Vinny so much.
- 21:22He go to a sit down and they were just happy to be sitting
- 21:24there with Vinny. You know what I'm saying?
- 21:26Like, wow, I'm meeting Vinny A Sauer, you know what I'm saying?
- 21:28It was hysterical, bro. It's a pleasure to meet you,
- 21:30Vinny. He's hysterical like a rock
- 21:32star. Yeah, he's like a rock star,
- 21:33bro, you know what I mean? So later on in his life, you
- 21:35know, you say, oh, he's a gambler, he's this and that.
- 21:37Nobody's telling that to his face.
- 21:38If he was a bomb, no one's saying that it sounds good.
- 21:41I mean, Oh yeah. He's just when they see him,
- 21:42it's more how Vinny honor to meet you.
- 21:44Vinny, right. You know, so I got lucky being
- 21:47with that crow, you know, because that would have been
- 21:48killed probably. Growing up, when you decided you
- 21:51want to get into that life, who did you idolize?
- 21:53That was a gangster. That was a mobster like the Al
- 21:55Capone's The Lucky. No, my local Andy.
- 21:58That that's who, yeah. We all knew about that.
- 22:00That was related to him. My cousin Anthony, he was like
- 22:02the guy, OK? He was the guy.
- 22:04He came up on the ABBA Anastasia.
- 22:06He was killing people with ABBA Anastasia, the Mad Dog.
- 22:08He was one of ABBA Anastasia's main 7 body guns.
- 22:11So he was like the guy Don call aboard him in after they killed
- 22:14AB Anastasia. They says no we're taking Andy,
- 22:16we're not killing. Supposed to kill Hope crew at
- 22:18man station. Well crew supposed to go Don.
- 22:19Carlos says no we're taking you in.
- 22:21It took him and Tony Lee and it made them in like the fleet 50s
- 22:24you know what I'm saying? It's like these guys been
- 22:26running shit like the fishies. You obviously spot.
- 22:29Or into it. My cousin was killed, you know,
- 22:30on a hit. They killed my cousin.
- 22:31Johnny boy Bo Cousil killed him. No one hit man for the Columbos
- 22:35shot my cousin. They pulled him over on a
- 22:36District Attorney van the light. My cousin was sent to kill him.
- 22:39They shot him and they shot him and he survived.
- 22:41They came back and killed them three weeks later because of
- 22:43Johnny Boy. Say you came from a family of
- 22:46tech millionaires, right? And you came from money, right?
- 22:50Would you still go into that lice had you came from money?
- 22:53No, all that about coming from money.
- 22:55It's just the area we grew up in.
- 22:56There was no tech guys where we're from.
- 22:57We had guys that became boys and stuff like that.
- 22:59But 9 out of 10 times, it's almost like a fawn system for
- 23:02the mafia, right? That's what it is.
- 23:03So you're just born. Yeah.
- 23:05That we were still in that era of like where we're still around
- 23:09a lot. We have 4 bosses living in our
- 23:11neighborhood once, which is five families.
- 23:13We have four of the five looking in Howard Beach.
- 23:15We're saying we have hundreds of people over there and FBI
- 23:18everywhere. We don't have NYPD.
- 23:21We have Verizon vans everywhere. We're like, all right, every
- 23:24block in a Verizon van. All right.
- 23:25What the fuck? ATV yeah, everybody's getting
- 23:30their their phones done Yeah, standing there like fucking they
- 23:33sat on you know, we knew you know what I'm saying, but
- 23:35people. Like listening middle of nowhere
- 23:37I or yeah, nowhere Michigan they they.
- 23:40Don't understand? They don't understand, you know
- 23:42what I mean? Like you like.
- 23:43It's such a different way of life.
- 23:44So we were the five boroughs #1 priority.
- 23:48They actually at one time we were over terrorism.
- 23:50No shit. Yes, we were over terrorism in
- 23:52the state of New York. Wow.
- 23:54At one point, organized crime is so bad in five boroughs that we
- 23:57were actually a higher priority in terrorism.
- 23:59This is coming from the FBI agent.
- 24:00Tell me this. Wow.
- 24:01They had unlimited funds for the mafia.
- 24:03That means they get extra 3% dollars to get us and they'll
- 24:05give it to you. Yeah, because we were taking the
- 24:07country, right? You have to look, think about
- 24:09this. You want a union job, you can't.
- 24:11You got to go to them. Sanitation.
- 24:12You got to go to them. So they're taking everything.
- 24:14They had to just say we have to cripple this.
- 24:16We have to. And then the violence, the
- 24:19murders, really what's got bad, you know, people going missing.
- 24:21You know, my grandfather's there.
- 24:22He's telling my mom, you know, like stories, like every day
- 24:25somebody be gone missing, this guy's gone.
- 24:28This guy's dead every day. So the violence really is what
- 24:31he really had to step into. He must get killed now.
- 24:34You know when you're going to go beat somebody after you're going
- 24:38to shoot somebody, right? What kind of music are you
- 24:40listening to? Yeah, you listen to $0.50.
- 24:42All robberies we used to listen to, like rap music, like me and
- 24:45my partner get pumped up like $0.50 was one.
- 24:49I love Meek Mills. I was a big Meek Mills guy.
- 24:51So yeah, that that I definitely had.
- 24:53For the other things, no, but the violence, it's very nerve
- 24:56wracking into violence like that.
- 24:58You got to do some because you could sit there for two days and
- 25:01get the person. I've sat and slept in my car for
- 25:03two days to get this guy, Angelo Giuseppe.
- 25:05I sat my car for two days so. You're sitting in the car,
- 25:07you're sitting on people or you're like crew sick, right?
- 25:09Are you using your personal car 'cause these guys might get the
- 25:11car? Right.
- 25:12So you guys were like, you guys were like, we should play some
- 25:14shit. Yeah, movies have the conception
- 25:16very wrong. You don't get paid for this
- 25:18stuff when you're with these guys.
- 25:19It's not like, Oh yeah, go shoot that guy.
- 25:21You get 5 grand. That's not real.
- 25:22It's a movie. When you do things for these
- 25:24people, it's an honor and a privilege.
- 25:25They look at as you're trying to make your way up into the ranks.
- 25:27You're not going to say, Oh yeah, I'm going to take care of
- 25:29it. You got to tell me 10 grand,
- 25:30like get lost. You know what I'm saying?
- 25:31That don't work like that. You're working your way up to do
- 25:33things. You're using your own money,
- 25:35your own car, you're doing your own thing.
- 25:37They'll just tell you to go get this done and they're happy that
- 25:39you did it. And the only they do, they brag
- 25:40about you. They need to brag about me to
- 25:42the soldier clubs. We got the next lunatic coming
- 25:44up right. Right.
- 25:45That's I want the more than the money.
- 25:47Yeah, you understand? I wanted that more than the
- 25:49money. I.
- 25:50Mean it was the whole. Thing the Consiglia is talking
- 25:52about me. Are you kidding me?
- 25:53These guys are fucking mother. Do you still want me in social
- 25:55clubs? My chest is like this you.
- 25:57Know I'm saying so you're like. Yeah, yeah.
- 26:00This is like, yes, huge speech. Absolutely.
- 26:03That was more to me than money because you were chasing that
- 26:06life so much in our neighborhood that when you became a make
- 26:09Alec, they would say it was the best thing in the world.
- 26:11Everyone would say go when you're getting done.
- 26:12When you're getting done, they come, wait.
- 26:14All the young kids wanted to come with me, you know?
- 26:16Speaking of growing up and being part of the mafia growing up,
- 26:20did you ever watch Big Fellas or Casino Bronx?
- 26:24Tale Bronx tale was no good. It wasn't a real like it was
- 26:26slowly, but fiction her fellas is the most real estate accurate
- 26:30one because it's directly our neighborhood.
- 26:32It's directly house friends and I know all their sons.
- 26:35Anthony Stabile, his son's, he's dead now.
- 26:37He's tough, motherfucker. His father was in Anthony
- 26:39Stabile. Tommy D Small's whole family.
- 26:41My grandmother used to hang out with Nicole Cabana, My
- 26:43grandfather. He's tall and skinny, you know
- 26:45what I'm saying? It's like, yeah, my grandfather
- 26:47used to go on. My grandfather got called for
- 26:49hijacking in 1969 with all the Goodfellas.
- 26:52And I know one story he's do bank robbers them my grandfather
- 26:55only need a driver. So they would call my
- 26:58grandfather and my grandfather would go, well, who's going?
- 27:01Tommy D and Anthony Spiel not going hang up the phone.
- 27:04They going like this. OK, I'm not gonna.
- 27:06I'm trying to rob money. You want to kill people, you
- 27:07know what I'm saying? Because I'm not going.
- 27:09So my grandfather's partner was Tommy Wheels.
- 27:11He actually got paralyzed from a helicopter on one of the scores.
- 27:13And my grandfather didn't go in that because the lunatics were
- 27:15calling. So he might have got killed in
- 27:17that job, but yeah, he was a driver for like, you know,
- 27:20hijacking bank robberies. And whenever Tommy D and Anthony
- 27:23Stabile go, he would say I'm not going, I'm not doing it.
- 27:25I'm not going to catch Meritus. Yeah.
- 27:27So, you know, that was directed like it says, that's all.
- 27:30Like we're like, we all know each other.
- 27:33That whole movie was so accurate.
- 27:34It was so real. Yeah, what about The Sopranos?
- 27:36Because like, we're all the same age, right?
- 27:38So like, you're in that life already.
- 27:40Sopranos is out. You're just sitting down like.
- 27:43This is fucking bullshit. Yeah, like the suit thing.
- 27:45So nobody wears suits, You know, that's the 60s.
- 27:48You know, these guys are all Tony Sopranos.
- 27:49What, going on in a button up in dress pants and shoes?
- 27:52That's not real, you know what I'm saying?
- 27:53These guys don't dress. That's like old times like
- 27:54Vinny. So that's all they know is press
- 27:56clothes and slacks. You know what I'm saying,
- 27:58anyone? If you're born in the 70s and
- 27:59not, you're not wearing no suit. You're a trash suit.
- 28:01Yeah, attraction. These guys, the John Junior, you
- 28:03call it the John Junior. He started that track shit and
- 28:06Howard beats the Felix did. You like the show?
- 28:08Were you like? No.
- 28:09Oh, you didn't even like, no, I've coming from our view.
- 28:12We just look at it like, you know, bullshit, bullshit.
- 28:15All he known is actually a real guy.
- 28:16He's actually really, it's a a mullshot from Brooklyn.
- 28:19Oh, no shit. Tony Juice.
- 28:21Yeah, he's a real guy. That was funny.
- 28:23He was on that show. He was actually a real guy.
- 28:25Spin enough and you said, well, sharking, right, you know,
- 28:28you're going with so a lot of people don't know how that
- 28:30works, right? You know, like can you just
- 28:32explain it to people who are listening?
- 28:35You'll never know. Like how do you breathe?
- 28:37Balance the money type? Thing so so if you're in the
- 28:39crew, right so it works like this Ronnie G was the crew
- 28:42leader at one time. So what he would do is he would
- 28:45give all his guys that were with him on record with him.
- 28:47It's his guys, not other guys that want it because you have
- 28:50other guys that say Ronnie, I got business opportunity give me
- 28:52this much money and I'll put it out oh God, give me two points
- 28:55on it. That's $20 and every thousand.
- 28:57What else? We got it for one point.
- 28:59So we took out 100K. We pay 1000 a week on it.
- 29:01We're putting out for three points, right?
- 29:03So we're making more money than he is on it.
- 29:04But he's got $3,000,000 in the street.
- 29:07So it's a little, you know, so he has all these bunch of guys
- 29:10that he's putting out. One guy might have 300,000 out
- 29:13in, he's giving him 6000 weeks just off that.
- 29:16That's consistent every week that don't come off the top
- 29:18until you get back to 300 K. You give him 6000 rest of your
- 29:21life. And The thing is, he's not going
- 29:23out there to get it. He's the he's the loan sharks
- 29:25loan shark. Yes.
- 29:25So you have loan sharks that come to him to get it at a lower
- 29:27rate and then they'll put it out to make money on it.
- 29:29It's all just a Ponzi scheme on them.
- 29:31Yeah, yeah, it's just this guy, you know, and like he says, he
- 29:34always going to get paid. He's always going to get his
- 29:36money one way another. He's always going to get it.
- 29:38I mean, I had people mortgage their houses because like James
- 29:41Jordan, I never forget this story.
- 29:42He was took out a sports bet and sheet with us and he's a Jared
- 29:46gambler. It was him on all the accounts
- 29:48he lost like $160,000, right. I mean, she literally went to
- 29:51his family and says you're going to pay me my money, figure out
- 29:53how well I'm going to get it from your son.
- 29:56In other words, in blood. And they removed their house bro
- 29:59and paid him his money. Yeah, so I've seen all kinds of
- 30:02shit. You know, they'll, they'll make
- 30:04you sell your home, they'll take your stuff.
- 30:05I've seen you go. I've done it all with them.
- 30:07So I get 13 years total. So I've been on probation jail.
- 30:11So I'm 18 now. I'm 39 now.
- 30:12I just got off the first time in my life, September 20th, 21
- 30:15years. I get in the system total with
- 30:17probation, parole and jail. When I first hit jail, I was an
- 30:20adolescent, right? He's out.
- 30:22And that's like the worst experience you can have for your
- 30:24first time in jail. It's like walking to Afghanistan
- 30:27with a check now. You knew about that walking in
- 30:29it's. Horrible.
- 30:30I got my T shipped in the act like I was always in a war zone,
- 30:32bro. It's like something you see,
- 30:34it's just horrible. And then you know, I was
- 30:36remanded. I had no bail at A1 felony
- 30:38killer cocaine accessory. So I was, I knew I had to stay
- 30:40in there and he just, I just got used to it, bro.
- 30:43Yeah. Were you not scared?
- 30:44Yeah. No, I was never seen that well.
- 30:46Gang memories. Exactly.
- 30:47So what do you So what do you do?
- 30:48Like your 18 year young dude, your boys aren't with you,
- 30:51they're not going in with you, right?
- 30:53So say take us through there. You walk through the gates so.
- 30:56You gotta adapt and, and at that time, never.
- 30:58My neighborhood's all Italian, Irish, Jewish, German, there's
- 31:01no Spanish and blacks. And so this is the first time
- 31:03for me interacting with them even, right, because in my
- 31:05neighborhood they don't come over there really.
- 31:07It's we didn't interact with each other really.
- 31:09So now I'm in the Rikers Island in these places.
- 31:11And actually I got along with him.
- 31:12Great. Yeah.
- 31:13At first. No.
- 31:14Yeah. Well, they're trying to extort
- 31:15you. They're trying to take your pin
- 31:16number. I wasn't with nothing.
- 31:17So I was getting jumped and shit and fighting.
- 31:19And they're like, no, the kids not punk, you know, I mean,
- 31:21because all the white kids are washing clothes.
- 31:23I'm like, well, you got to kill me, bro.
- 31:24Yeah, I washed those underwear. You got to scare me, bro.
- 31:26I don't care. She goes back to Hollow Beach.
- 31:28I'll be washing clothes like I'm done.
- 31:30I've also just moved, you know what I'm saying?
- 31:32I'm like, you just kill me. I didn't do it that.
- 31:34When you first get in like when was your first fight are.
- 31:36You fighting like 2 days later they're trying to get my pin
- 31:38number. I wouldn't give it to them.
- 31:40They take your pin number. Use your phone.
- 31:41Yeah, right away, right away. I got punched in the face
- 31:43washing my face in the bathroom. OK, while washing my face in the
- 31:46bathroom, he punched me in the Max.
- 31:47I want to give it to me actually tip my tooth action then yeah, I
- 31:50always get it fixed to this deck.
- 31:51When do you do you get up and start?
- 31:52Playing. Yeah, I was fighting back.
- 31:53Yeah. You know, I lost a lot of fights
- 31:55in prison. I said that in one interview.
- 31:56Like I'm not Bruce Lee, anyone's I'm seeing all in jail.
- 31:59I come out, bro. Yeah.
- 32:00You got some of these kids that freaks in nature, bro, like man
- 32:03child, you know, I mean, so it's like, you know, I lost a lot of
- 32:06fights in prison. Especially when you're standing
- 32:08on your own. But let me correct that.
- 32:10My last time in jail, I was stabbed getting people because I
- 32:12was facing life. So at this point I was even
- 32:14saying you try something to me, I'm fucking killing you.
- 32:16I'm look, I didn't cooperate to two years in.
- 32:19So I was in like high classification Rikers Island at
- 32:21Federal Florida. I had like my lights were out
- 32:25and I said at this point, like I was carrying like knives.
- 32:27Like you bother me. I'm in like the worst mood.
- 32:29I lost everything. My own cousin put me in jail.
- 32:32Don't bother me. I'm going to try to take you
- 32:34ahead. Yeah.
- 32:35Were you doing a lot of time to hold on?
- 32:37Oh yeah, I lived in the hall. How do you get the negative
- 32:41thoughts out of your head when you're stuck in a situation like
- 32:43that? How do you maintain in in an
- 32:45isolated position like the hole or just in jail?
- 32:47Like you have to change your mentality.
- 32:49And then you also have to realize that there's nothing you
- 32:52can do about it. There's no way out of that even
- 32:54like it don't matter. You're pin the hole.
- 32:55You're not. You could scream on the gate all
- 32:57you want. You're not leaving that cell.
- 32:59You can say you're having a heart attack.
- 33:00You do whatever you want. All right, we'll get to it.
- 33:02They don't care. That's it.
- 33:04You belong to them. You got to.
- 33:06And actually, my grandfather will tell me is because he my
- 33:08own family time. He says you just have to accept
- 33:10it. You're not going nowhere, right?
- 33:12You're in there, That's it. You face it.
- 33:14You know what I'm saying? You can't go the way you can.
- 33:16Scream, cry, whatever you want to do.
- 33:17You're not, you're sitting in that cell, bro.
- 33:18You put, you know, you're not going the way.
- 33:20That's it. So I just, I just accepted it.
- 33:22Yeah, a lot of people, they have the hardest time just control
- 33:25living with their own mind. Make a routine in there.
- 33:27Yeah. And it helps you to the day.
- 33:28I know I woke up this time. I'll do this.
- 33:30I'll do that work out at that time.
- 33:32So you don't want to break your routine.
- 33:33It gives you you look forward to eat it this time, so you break
- 33:36down your little schedule and then it makes the day go.
- 33:38Now, as far as like working outdoors, you know, in prison,
- 33:41out of prison and even like life now, like for me, I get it just
- 33:44as fussy, right, Right. Someone Hawks at me.
- 33:46I work out. I'm like that.
- 33:47I feel a lot better. Is that kind of like how it
- 33:49works out? Well, you not work out just to
- 33:51love it. Yeah, you know I love working
- 33:53out. I never stopped.
- 33:54I I've been working out 15 years straight after I stopped.
- 33:56Even when I go to the whole, I'm working out in the whole, which
- 33:58you don't gain nothing, you lose because you don't eat 3 meals a
- 34:00day, right? Nothing.
- 34:02What are you doing? Exercise.
- 34:03Why is? It you could do just pushups,
- 34:05abs. That's why I was doing pushups,
- 34:07abs, squats, anything you do just to work out of your body.
- 34:09You can't do pull ups in the hole.
- 34:10Obviously I try to create some. That didn't work.
- 34:13You can't. I tried every invention, it
- 34:14didn't work. How long did it take you to get
- 34:17their respect from the game? Right.
- 34:19So you go in there on your own. They know that.
- 34:22Look, this guy's a mob. No, they don't.
- 34:24Not the first time. They knew the second or third
- 34:26time because of the. Newspapers.
- 34:27OK, so then you got some. That I was good the first time.
- 34:29They knew nothing. I wasn't really a mob.
- 34:30I was just starting out. You know what I'm saying?
- 34:32Like I wasn't really anybody. That'll be a lie to say that I
- 34:35was on with people, but I wasn't known like that yet.
- 34:38When I was 20 to 22 years old is when I made my real name for
- 34:41myself. OK, That was like a girl's
- 34:43living in the Wall West. Oh, sure, Yeah, My grandfather
- 34:46goes. You must have a permit.
- 34:47You carry a gun every day. You know what I'm saying?
- 34:48This guy, you know, I was pistol on the every day.
- 34:50Gun that you like? Yeah, I love the three 80s
- 34:53brightest. Why is that?
- 34:54I don't know. I just love them.
- 34:56Yeah. Awesome gun light, seven shots.
- 34:58There's. You could carry it everywhere,
- 34:59you know. With the stuff that you carried
- 35:01in a car, right? Oh, that would carry big shit.
- 35:02Yeah. Hidden compartments.
- 35:04No. Wearing the seat.
- 35:05Yeah. Yeah, I was wearing the seat.
- 35:06Howard Beach is not like you're in the hood.
- 35:08It's a rich neighborhood. It's just a corrupt
- 35:09neighborhood. So when you get pulled over
- 35:11there and go searching it now, if I'm in the Bronx, you can't
- 35:14have a gun, you see, 'cause they RIP you out the car every time,
- 35:16correct? Scang them.
- 35:17They, you know, they don't bother us like that.
- 35:19You get pulled over out, you get going.
- 35:20They're sleeping half the time. They might be cops outreach.
- 35:22Now, how did this work going back to that type of thing, You
- 35:25know, like you guys are sitting on something, you're going to do
- 35:27a lick. You guys have scanners like oh.
- 35:29Everything. I was a pro at that shit.
- 35:30Yeah. Scanners.
- 35:31I had crash cars. I had everything.
- 35:33This case, the cops chase just have so many questions.
- 35:35You by accident. I had all kinds of shit set up.
- 35:37Yeah. I went from the best.
- 35:38Then you told me everything. Yeah.
- 35:39Crash scanners, crash cars, all kinds of shit.
- 35:42Another car to take the stop. You transfer.
- 35:43Go over there. I had the whole thing planned
- 35:45out when you were hitting real scores, you know, because we
- 35:47were hitting drug dealers and we're on hitting little time
- 35:49drug dealers. We're hitting guys, you know,
- 35:50300,000 now. Jewelry, drugs.
- 35:53One hand or the other, you know you're having that fast life
- 35:57right and high, though you keep chasing that high like you know
- 35:59the adrenaline. Well, and the reputation you
- 36:01start building and that's better than anything anybody says.
- 36:05When you gain the reputation that I had at one point, it's
- 36:08better than being a millionaire really.
- 36:10People just do anything you want for you.
- 36:12I could just, I used to call guys like drug dealers.
- 36:14It'd be so funny. And I'd be like, what's going
- 36:17on? Like, Oh my God, I'm going to
- 36:18meet you. Why?
- 36:19What do you got? Give it because I'm not doing
- 36:21good money right now. And Roxies, give that to me.
- 36:23You said you could sell. Come on, give it to me.
- 36:26You want to bet? You want me to ban you?
- 36:28I'll just go and make 36 grand, 7 grand because I need the
- 36:31money. So.
- 36:33Yeah, just do whatever you want. But like I but like I said, I
- 36:37got away with that when Ronnie was in jail because then he kept
- 36:40on getting word and he kept saying you gotta stop now, You
- 36:43know what I'm saying? Everybody's complaining about
- 36:44you. So I had to call my brakes and
- 36:46there was some names that I wasn't in.
- 36:47Now they said you can have a serious problem.
- 36:49Yeah, Bonnie had my near in his mouth.
- 36:51Yeah. He's the boss of the Genovese
- 36:52family. This guy's like a legend.
- 36:54Yeah. And he called me a walking time
- 36:55bomb. And everyone's like, you better
- 36:56stop now. You're gonna end up missing.
- 36:58How do you combat that? Like, how do you, how do you
- 37:00chill out when you're in that life?
- 37:02Everybody just kept saying just, you know, all my people have
- 37:04just calmed down, you know what I'm saying?
- 37:05Cuz you know, that's it. Just relax, you're making money,
- 37:07you know, just chill. I actually am, just I can't sit
- 37:10still. I'm ADD, ADHD.
- 37:12I'm by Paula somewhat. I'm a hot head, you know,
- 37:14everyone knows that, you know, I fly off the handle, so it's easy
- 37:18for me to get into a fight. I didn't need them all behind me
- 37:20to be a nut. I'd be on the road with you
- 37:22somewhere in the Bronx. You cut me off.
- 37:23I'm rolling with you over the hood.
- 37:24That's just the way I was. You know what I'm saying?
- 37:26So I was a perfect fit for these people.
- 37:29Like this is perfect. This guy loves doing the shit.
- 37:31But then I got too out of hand, like I said, started breaking
- 37:33rules. So like in the 80s, I always say
- 37:35to be real, they would have killed me.
- 37:37They would have to. I'm disrespecting made guys.
- 37:40Yeah, I'm calling them clowns. Rent the bottoms.
- 37:42That's bad. You got to get dealt with.
- 37:43You know what I'm saying? In the 80s and 90s, that was a
- 37:45dime a dozen. In the 70s, you know, But my
- 37:47area there wasn't too. The mob was kind of like getting
- 37:49like buying out with the Cowboys.
- 37:51I was like a cowboy, you know what I'm saying?
- 37:52Like Tommy DS, like those guys. I was rolling around like, and
- 37:55you don't want to be those guys because they get killed.
- 37:58What about Joey Gal? Is that a good comparison?
- 38:00You're well, I wasn't that crazy, but yeah, yeah, like that
- 38:03kind. Of mentality.
- 38:04I was fearless. Right.
- 38:05Like get out there I want. But it says, you know, you beef
- 38:09with the wrong guys and they'll try to kill you.
- 38:10And they tried to kill me a few times.
- 38:12You know, I got my brakes pumped a few times.
- 38:15Oh, they tried to kill me in front of my house a few times.
- 38:17I had a few close balls. Are you having a hard time
- 38:18sleeping at night? Are you?
- 38:20Are you worried? Think about how I felt.
- 38:21My friend got shot through the neck and they tried to kill me.
- 38:24Innocent kid works three jobs. He was found dead twice.
- 38:27It went back they said he was like a miracle how he lived.
- 38:31They missed everything this shit by this much.
- 38:32His boys box. Everything next swelled up this
- 38:35big. But he was supposed to be dead.
- 38:36They don't even know how he lived.
- 38:38Who was that that was coming? Well, I had to be for this kid,
- 38:41Phil Galena, and he had put money on me because I shot his
- 38:44house. It was a whole war and basically
- 38:46he put 10,000 on my head. Albanians.
- 38:49So that was a hit team. Yeah, well, they, we didn't even
- 38:52know they were in the club or watching this the whole time.
- 38:54And we left and they, they had the whole thing planned.
- 38:56Yeah. And they didn't get the target.
- 38:58They got, you know, they got my industry friend.
- 38:59How do you get back at them for this?
- 39:02I went after Phil Galena. I we actually made ourselves
- 39:04house. Hopefully.
- 39:04I may have to leave. Howard Leach.
- 39:05OK. Yeah.
- 39:06We shot his house three times. What me is we terrorized him.
- 39:08Blow up all his cars. He was went to Italy for a
- 39:10little while. No shit.
- 39:11Oh yeah. Everyone knew that story.
- 39:12We went after him hard. Ronnie G said I don't care how
- 39:14you have to get him. Get him.
- 39:16Yeah. He wants to do gang member
- 39:17moves. We're gonna do gang member
- 39:19moves. Go terrorize him.
- 39:21And. And are you?
- 39:22Living every day like to last. No, no, it wasn't that chaotic
- 39:26every day, I'm saying. But like, you know, I knew at
- 39:29any point I was doing, you see, when you're robbing drug deals,
- 39:31they can retaliate and sneak you too.
- 39:33I pay someone to kill, you know, I'm saying.
- 39:34So I was very aware. Like when I went in my house, I
- 39:36would circle. I had cameras everywhere.
- 39:38I had a social called my own, you know, I'm saying.
- 39:41So I knew they would hit me over there because I was Vinny's club
- 39:43basically. But I was mine as Vinny and
- 39:44Bonnie. So I didn't think they'd be that
- 39:45ballsy to do something that shit at my house.
- 39:48So it's very weird. We circled twice.
- 39:50If a call came with me, I would make a right.
- 39:53And if you made a right, me and I made a right.
- 39:54I'm pulling over. And I wonder why you're not
- 39:56making rights to me. And I'll get the call and
- 39:57staying like this. Yeah.
- 39:59Because I wonder why you keep following me.
- 40:00Stuck in paranoid. You know what I'm saying?
- 40:02And you're. Always on.
- 40:03Point, always on point. I see everything, but when I'm
- 40:05not watching, I'm watching. They're like, how the fuck do
- 40:07you see that? No, I'm watching everything.
- 40:09You know, I'm saying I don't like when people walk with their
- 40:10hands in their jacket. I don't like people walk with
- 40:12their hands behind their back. I still don't like it to this
- 40:14deck. No shit.
- 40:15Yeah. Signs for me.
- 40:16OK, you. Know what I'm saying?
- 40:17So. You read people a whole
- 40:19different way than just the average jaw on this one, yeah.
- 40:22Yeah, absolutely. You're so you're in that life
- 40:24for so long, it kind of molds right to this soldier.
- 40:28Absolutely. You know, I started so young,
- 40:30you know, I dropped out of school at 9th grade.
- 40:31Oh shit. You know, so you know.
- 40:33I'm sure like right off the bat then you know, you bet us and
- 40:36right away like Terminator, I should bring myself and down
- 40:38there. Absolutely.
- 40:40You know, clothes we wear, Yeah, we'll smile on your face the
- 40:43whole time and really just take it on like, you know, like
- 40:46examine. You know what I'm saying?
- 40:48You know what I'm saying? That's how I know we're doing
- 40:50that so many times with people. Do they?
- 40:51Train you well, they school you with things for saying how to
- 40:54like sit downs, like you guys get trained for sit downs.
- 40:56Because you know, if you I was proposing like 27 years old.
- 40:59So I was going to become a number I got I got pretty much
- 41:02knocked down because of all the shit I was doing, you know, and
- 41:06a list was going around. And the first time that they
- 41:09were going to put me in is that I had beat up a skipper's nephew
- 41:13in his house for his bubble. And they'll put Conrad.
- 41:16He's a big captain for Joey's family.
- 41:17And that's what Bonnie wanted my head on the stick.
- 41:19So if any said it's not a good time to put you in right now
- 41:21because he's going to try to block it.
- 41:22OK. And they waited and then Ronnie
- 41:24and then Ronnie says, well, I want to be there anyway.
- 41:26And then Ronnie, we all got locked up and that was it.
- 41:29But I was going. Now at 28 years old, everyone
- 41:31knows that. It really knows, you know what I
- 41:33mean? I was calling him young, but
- 41:34they were also nervous to give me the power.
- 41:36That was a wide attack. Why is that?
- 41:38Ronnie's sitting on a wide attack that he's nervous to give
- 41:39me the. Power just because you.
- 41:41It's chaotic, bro. I was always, you know, it was a
- 41:43drama. I was always shit.
- 41:45I'm representing a family now. You're over there fucking
- 41:48wrecking things, you know? They don't like that the whole
- 41:50time, you know? Was there ever like a long term
- 41:52plan in that? Life, yeah.
- 41:53So I was so close to Ronnie that I was basically doing everything
- 41:56for him. He wouldn't speak to nobody.
- 41:57So when he became a skipper, I was basically, he's right at
- 42:00man. I was basically me, everybody.
- 42:02I was basically straight. I was going to send messages.
- 42:04He was proving me to talk to you guys.
- 42:05I'm not supposed to. So I was doing everything for
- 42:09him. I was just basically becoming
- 42:10him. Yeah, as he gets older and does
- 42:13this, I'm just taking his spot, that's all it was, right?
- 42:15That's it. So you just like the next.
- 42:17Generation, that's it. Next generation people on just
- 42:20take his spot and you know so about money, keep making money.
- 42:22And that was the dream. Yeah, yeah.
- 42:25So at what point are you like I'm done with this?
- 42:28So when you see the other side of them, how greedy they are,
- 42:32that's the bad part because I'm not a greedy person.
- 42:33Ronnie was extremely greedy, and I'm not talking bad about him
- 42:36because Ronnie was a gangster, but very greedy.
- 42:39And I'm agreed to the point where if you order them 50,285
- 42:43cents and you didn't give them the $0.85, he'd be like, well,
- 42:46where's the $0.85? That's how bad he was.
- 42:48You know what I'm saying? Yeah, so and that's where he had
- 42:50millions of dollars. His net worth was like
- 42:5235,000,001. Time guy came reader, right?
- 42:55Want to read? Right.
- 42:56Making 400,000 a. Month.
- 42:57How do you like present that to the government?
- 43:00Like society? Like how?
- 43:01Where's the money? Going well, we knew when he
- 43:04built that house, we're all going to jail.
- 43:05But you can't tell him nothing. If you've ever seen his house on
- 43:07Google, it's 8000 square foot home.
- 43:10Yeah, it's worth 3.2 million. He's showing 37,000 a year in
- 43:13the books. His door cost $37.
- 43:16That's it. Is it?
- 43:17Does he not know like something I don't know?
- 43:19What he thought was going to happen, they were literally, I
- 43:21mean, when I did cooperate up there I go, what did he really
- 43:23think we were going to do? Let him keep that house?
- 43:25Like I mean, it's but the guy don't show no income, nothing.
- 43:28He has a mega mansion on the corner, a $3.2 million home.
- 43:32Everything's getting imported from Italy.
- 43:33His roof was 170,000 alone. This is roof.
- 43:36His bricks were probably $200,000, just the bricks.
- 43:39So he was out of control with that house and you know, that
- 43:41was downfall. Fast forward into, you know your
- 43:44laptop looking at all this. Time, right?
- 43:46It took me two years. I wouldn't go back.
- 43:47One thing about me, I don't bullshit.
- 43:49I was trying to take 20 years. Anything over 20, I was
- 43:52skeptical. I'll be 100, you guys.
- 43:53I try to take 20 years for everything.
- 43:55I told my lawyers. Get me 20 everything I take 20.
- 43:57I'm happy with that at the moment. 46 years old.
- 43:59It was 35 when there 35 years on care player.
- 44:02They had too much going on. That's a lot of time.
- 44:05And so it's over. And this guy when you pay my
- 44:06attorney. And that's about time.
- 44:08I had it all over. I was ping pong, state federal
- 44:10flaw. I was gonna get ping pong.
- 44:12So and if you blow a child, see if you guys understand
- 44:15racketeering, that's live. So if you blow, even if you
- 44:17shoot a guy in the foot and you blow trial for that, you get
- 44:19like in the state, you get 5 years in the feds, you're
- 44:21shooting somebody for organization to up your
- 44:23position. That's like a 10 to life
- 44:25guideline, right? You get natural life for that.
- 44:27You blow trial for that. You don't have to kill a guy.
- 44:29So the feds have these grimy guidelines.
- 44:30So I'm not copping now 35. I said you got to give that to
- 44:33me. I'm not taking that.
- 44:34I would have got an actual life over the trial.
- 44:36So, you know, then I actually paid my attorney.
- 44:38Federal boys want $300,000. They're not like state
- 44:40attorneys. We give them 10 grand.
- 44:41These guys want 300,000 for an organized crime case because
- 44:44they're so high profile, they know they're going to get it.
- 44:46Come on, I have that kind of money now.
- 44:47I told Ronnie, you're a millionaire.
- 44:48Just paid a life me. Give me a final chance.
- 44:50Oh, when it goes federal, I will.
- 44:51He was Carrot. He was dragging me and then they
- 44:54came to see me, the agents finally, and that's when I gave
- 44:56in. My little brother too.
- 44:57I saved my little brother. He got a pistol charge.
- 45:00We got them out of. That I got.
- 45:01I said you don't drop the gun, I don't talk.
- 45:03So I got him out of seven years. I sent them somewhere to do
- 45:06something and he had a fucking gun.
- 45:08And then he got busted because they were watching me.
- 45:10I felt horrible. He was out at $200,000 bail.
- 45:13He looked up to me. I felt horrible.
- 45:14I said no, I'm gonna get you out.
- 45:15It's I got him. I didn't do a day in jail.
- 45:17I took it basically. So you know there's a situation,
- 45:21you know is there? Any regrets with the ass like?
- 45:26I heard a lot of people, you know, I feel bad for something.
- 45:28I'd be the friends, you know, people that had to get dealt
- 45:30with. I turned on a lot of people for
- 45:31that, those people. But everybody kind of knows the
- 45:34rules that. Well, signing up for, right?
- 45:36Well, but we were taught this like if you're a civilian, you
- 45:39go borrow money from when thanks.
- 45:42It's sports for the casino. When you start borrowing money
- 45:44off us and doing squatters, what are you now?
- 45:46You're in our world, you're not a civilian.
- 45:48So that's how I was taught by these people, right?
- 45:52Yeah. This civilians until they come
- 45:53into our world. Not civilian more.
- 45:54Go want money? Go for our bank then, right?
- 45:56Why coming us? You gotta deal without
- 45:57consequence now. You don't pay for the fucking
- 45:59hurt you right? Not gonna seize it.
- 46:00We're gonna hurt you. So that was the difference that
- 46:02I was taught? No.
- 46:03This podcast money, loyalty and legacy, right so so for the kids
- 46:08out there, people that want to glamorize the mob because they
- 46:12see casino too many times and they want to do that right in
- 46:15the in the end, it's not worth. The error now, they would never
- 46:18have to worry about things that I did because the mafia is
- 46:20washed up right now. But when I was coming up and
- 46:22they put the gun in the hand and say, go shoot your friend,
- 46:24right? See if they want to do that
- 46:25right, Because I did it right. It's pretty.
- 46:28Yeah. Trust him.
- 46:28He met me. I clap him, right?
- 46:29You know what I'm saying? That's, you know, that's the
- 46:31world you're going to live in. That's my best.
- 46:32My good friend Tyler Barker, this guy was a harmless guy,
- 46:36nonviolent, not not a tough guy. Comes out, he killed his best
- 46:41friend for the life. This guy.
- 46:42Now we didn't think he ever had a fight.
- 46:45And when the when he kept kept looking at me and I'm going, oh,
- 46:47you're just going to get gambling, Todd, Don't worry
- 46:48about it. He looked at me.
- 46:49He goes, yeah, just gambling news, murder.
- 46:52So you never know, Like, you know, back then it was just they
- 46:55put that in a situation people nowadays, these kids can't
- 46:57understand. You're lucky that era.
- 46:59But now you're not gonna really do murder, no more violence, the
- 47:02mafia. But in my era, you got put to
- 47:04the test. Right.
- 47:05I hurt your own friends, right? Now when you were like, okay,
- 47:08I'm done. I closed this chapter in my life
- 47:10like, was it a hard transition to be like?
- 47:13Yeah, yeah, it's the money. The money.
- 47:15So you go from that's great money to, you know, regular
- 47:18money sucks, you know, making big money, you know what I'm
- 47:22saying? It's, you know, it's a lot of
- 47:23different. I'm going from driving the
- 47:24nicest cars. So, you know, you can't have
- 47:26that no more, you know what I'm saying?
- 47:27You know? So what's the next chapter for
- 47:29Gene Barrella? You got the book here.
- 47:31But which, by the way, I will both blow smoke because that
- 47:33thing is king. Awesome.
- 47:35Anybody that reads that, I'm telling you right now that I'm
- 47:37not just because Gene's here. We both talked about it.
- 47:39I sent Ross it. Yeah.
- 47:42Non-stop action from beginning to.
- 47:44End. And that's like a small version
- 47:46of what I, I, I mean, I couldn't make about 600 pages of all my
- 47:49stuff, but there's so much more. I, you know, like the screenplay
- 47:52would be great like you. Know absolutely absolutely
- 47:54absolutely I mean and The thing is this is real life we really
- 47:58live this shit this is not some. Fictional bullshit.
- 48:01Most of my friends are dead. Life in prison.
- 48:02You know, I still was in that cowboy era, Leslie Mohegan says.
- 48:05They call me no. Shit.
- 48:06Yeah. See, that's the treachery that
- 48:08comes with the life, you know? So at the end of the day, it's
- 48:10not worth it. That's not what I mean.
- 48:11Like no, no. You only live once you don't
- 48:14realize that. So like, you know, you live in
- 48:16this crazy life and then you see all your friends gone life
- 48:19prison, they lose everything. They it's so funny.
- 48:21Like you could be the most respected guy.
- 48:23You get like 30 years, 40 years. You're away for two years.
- 48:26No one sends you no more forgets about you like kids.
- 48:28He's gone for 30 years. What you going to do right?
- 48:30It all becomes. There's zero.
- 48:32Loyalty again, it's all, it's all good as your last dollar.
- 48:35You know what you could do for them.
- 48:36I started learning that, you know, as you get older, you see
- 48:39it. You know what I mean, right?
- 48:40What's the future? Basically, I'm trying to get
- 48:41into anything in social media. I'm trying to, you know, make my
- 48:44book a success, make it into ATV show or anything.
- 48:47I feel like they have these shows and these crappy stuff.
- 48:50Why not use something like this where I could bring into so much
- 48:53stuff in my neighborhood. It's not even just about my
- 48:55book. I could add in so much stuff
- 48:57that we will all combine with each other, right?
- 48:59It would be a hit show. I know it would be.
- 49:00You know, nobody really knows about the modern day, right?
- 49:03Only about the 70's, the 80's, the Gotti's, all that shit's
- 49:06played out. This shit's all new.
- 49:08This is what we were doing. The same shit, almost.
- 49:10And for those that are watching it, this is the first time
- 49:12you've seen Gene. There's no other Young X models
- 49:14out there, you know what I mean? Like that's that.
- 49:16That's what was intriguing to us about him, right?
- 49:19We're all 80s babies. Right, you know what I mean.
- 49:21Don't have that. From there, there's nobody else.
- 49:23No one not operating like I was at least.
- 49:25No, it's a fresh perspective. Yeah, it's a modern twist.
- 49:29Obviously the mafia has been around for decades and decades.
- 49:32You know what I mean? Yeah, this is like a fresh.
- 49:34Outlook. Yes, new Vantage point.
- 49:36So the book is out now. Where can people get to that?
- 49:39Amazon. Amazon is the best seller.
- 49:41On the best selling Amazon, yeah.
- 49:43And any other outlets we're. On my Instagram you can contact
- 49:46me Gigarallo. And do you still do autograph?
- 49:48Yeah, autograph copies of my Instagram.
- 49:50Yeah, OK, You could DM me and, you know, send it to myself.
- 49:52Are you gonna make a second book or what?
- 49:54I don't know. I'm debating.
- 49:56Yeah, if I could just get the movie or the TV show, it'd be
- 49:58better. I can put everything.
- 49:59We'll see what happens. So being a movie producer,
- 50:03potential for you in the future, that's something that you'd be
- 50:05into, yes. And what about acting yourself?
- 50:08Yeah, I mean, you know, I mean, I have to play a bad guy.
- 50:10How could? He symbol.
- 50:11Could this guy be? It'd be symbol.
- 50:13I mean, you know, act. I don't have to act on it.
- 50:16Just put me in the fucking sit down.
- 50:19I'll make these guys look silly. Just put me in the scenario and
- 50:22I'll make it look so real for you guys.
- 50:23I never. Describe that.
- 50:24Yeah. Talk about a method actor, man.
- 50:26Yeah. You wanna play?
- 50:27You wanna, you wanna gangster somebody play monster.
- 50:29Well, my favorite actor is Johnny Depp, and he's a method
- 50:31actor. Yeah, that's my favorite.
- 50:33I think he could play any role. To me, he's the best.
- 50:36Maybe he'll be you. Oh man, he plays.
- 50:38He did Whitey Bulger great. He looked just like all his
- 50:42roles. He does John Dillinger.
- 50:44You should have got an Oscar for that, bro.
- 50:45He's so talented. He's awesome, bro.
- 50:46That's my favorite actor, yes. Super talented.
- 50:48Yeah. Alright, Gene, we won't keep you
- 50:50around all day. We appreciate your time, Max.
- 50:53Thank you. Awesome.
- 50:53Yeah. Good times you.
- 50:55Guys, check the book out, ladies and gentlemen, is fucking
- 50:58amazing. Thank you, Barella.
- 50:59Thank you, man. Thank you.
- 51:00Bye.
