- 0:00Speaker 1: It's also election day, and Rachel Compass Duffy is live
- 0:03Speaker 1: in the Garden State with Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Chitarellity.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Hey, Rachel, Hey, guys, you've been hearing about the enthusiasm
- 0:12Speaker 2: for Jack, Gennarelly.
- 0:14Speaker 3: And boy the.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Way failing right here at.
- 0:16Speaker 2: The Rocks, very tyner.
- 0:18Speaker 1: I want to talk to listen. Jack and I have.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Been having this conversation because I'm a one issue voter
- 0:23Speaker 2: on the plastic bags and how much does this have
- 0:27Speaker 2: to do with all the enthusiasm that's going on here?
- 0:30Speaker 4: Are you kidding me?
- 0:30Speaker 3: As well? The number?
- 0:31Speaker 4: Watch this, Watch this. I say plastic, you say bag, plastic, plastic?
- 0:36Speaker 4: What does that tell you? Rachel?
- 0:37Speaker 2: No, why would anyone want to take these away from us?
- 0:42Speaker 5: Only somebody like Phil Murphy and my opponent would want
- 0:44Speaker 5: to take those away?
- 0:45Speaker 4: But Jack generally is gonna get him right back.
- 0:46Speaker 2: That's this better be your number one executive more as
- 0:52Speaker 2: soon as you're elected. Okay, so let's talk about yesterday,
- 0:55Speaker 2: because she was an emotional model. I'm gonna toss to
- 0:58Speaker 2: you because your son flew back, surprised you in time
- 1:01Speaker 2: for the selection.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Watch your biggest supporter that serves his country. Just came
- 1:07Speaker 4: over overnight to serve you.
- 1:10Speaker 6: Jacob, your father say, all right, so what was that
- 1:29Speaker 6: like for you?
- 1:30Speaker 5: They floored me. What a magnificent experience, unbelievable. Haven't seen
- 1:33Speaker 5: him in close through a year. He got a seventy
- 1:34Speaker 5: two hour pass from the military brass paid for his
- 1:37Speaker 5: ticket to Dubai, then then flew to Nork. Hadn't slept
- 1:40Speaker 5: in twenty four hours. Great to have him home for
- 1:42Speaker 5: the night's victory. He'll fly back to the base tomorrow.
- 1:45Speaker 5: All ready, tomorrow, already tomorrow.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I have to tell you, I love the Italian hugs there.
- 1:50Speaker 6: They were the charge.
- 1:51Speaker 4: They were amazing. People told me they were cheering up.
- 1:55Speaker 4: So we're hugging kiss Yeah, I got I got it.
- 1:59Speaker 4: There's a lot of is on the table.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I want to talk about the top one, because property
- 2:02Speaker 2: taxes here are outrageous.
- 2:04Speaker 3: What are you going to do?
- 2:05Speaker 5: We have an affordability crisis in New Jersey and I
- 2:07Speaker 5: can address that on day one.
- 2:09Speaker 4: One.
- 2:09Speaker 5: I'm going to reduce the size and cost of a bloated,
- 2:11Speaker 5: inefficient state government to afford a tax cut for individuals
- 2:14Speaker 5: and businesses.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Two, We're going to pull out.
- 2:16Speaker 5: Of the carbon tax, the cap and trade carbon tax
- 2:18Speaker 5: thing that's driving our electricity rates through the roof. So
- 2:21Speaker 5: I'll pull us out of that, lower people's electricity bill
- 2:23Speaker 5: on day one, and with a new school funding format,
- 2:25Speaker 5: I can lower property taxes across New Jersey and give
- 2:28Speaker 5: towns like this one their fair share of state aid,
- 2:30Speaker 5: which lowers the property.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Tex You're getting rid of those wind nails. Well.
- 2:37Speaker 5: Energy is another big issue, So we're pulling out of
- 2:40Speaker 5: the EV mandate. No electrical VIGA mandate. I'm not telling
- 2:43Speaker 5: them what applies to have to buy how to heat
- 2:44Speaker 5: their home. No wind farms off our Jersey shore.
- 2:48Speaker 4: That's a big issue.
- 2:49Speaker 2: You love whales.
- 2:51Speaker 5: We love whales, and of course they can have back
- 2:53Speaker 5: their plastic bags.
- 2:54Speaker 4: That's amazing.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I want to talk to you about an issue that
- 2:56Speaker 2: I think is a sleeper issue, especially with the Hispanic community,
- 2:58Speaker 2: which is actually quite large here in New Jersey. And
- 3:01Speaker 2: I was talking to a woman here. She actually just left,
- 3:04Speaker 2: but she was telling me she was a kindergarten teacher
- 3:06Speaker 2: who was being forced to teach LGBTQ curriculum to kindergarteners.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Here we have with us, come here, christin Cobo. This
- 3:15Speaker 2: is a big issue for you too.
- 3:17Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm with the Parental Rights Coalition in New Jersey.
- 3:19Speaker 4: This is a huge issue.
- 3:21Speaker 7: We should not be teaching gender ideology in school whatsoever,
- 3:24Speaker 7: let alone to our elementary age children. Governor Murphy ushered
- 3:28Speaker 7: in these ridiculous standards years ago, and we fought as
- 3:31Speaker 7: parents and were not heard. So we continue to fight
- 3:34Speaker 7: the government overreach. Our rights come from God, not from
- 3:37Speaker 7: the government.
- 3:37Speaker 2: So you told me that a lot of people in
- 3:39Speaker 2: New Jersey are aware of this issue. They're not talking
- 3:43Speaker 2: about it as vocally.
- 3:44Speaker 7: Well, they're afraid to talk about it because the second
- 3:46Speaker 7: you touch this issue, you get called names, you get
- 3:49Speaker 7: you know, separated from your community. I think speak out.
- 3:52Speaker 7: You need to speak out more about these issues that
- 3:54Speaker 7: are affecting our children. Gender ideology is very dangerous, leading
- 3:58Speaker 7: children down a dangerous road.
- 4:00Speaker 2: All right, So your thoughts on that, What do you
- 4:02Speaker 2: say to somebody like that.
- 4:03Speaker 5: We've been saying all along, we're getting back to the
- 4:05Speaker 5: basics in our public schools, reading, writing, math, civics, science, okay, uh,
- 4:09Speaker 5: And we're getting rid of other subject sensitive subject matter
- 4:12Speaker 5: that I believe belongs at home at the kitchen table
- 4:14Speaker 5: with parents and the kids. All right, and that includes
- 4:19Speaker 5: I mean, let's we could talk about New Jerseys diversity,
- 4:22Speaker 5: but we don't need an lgbt Q curriculum. My opponents said,
- 4:26Speaker 5: not only will she keep it, she won't allow parents
- 4:28Speaker 5: to opt out of that lest.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that's really crazy, that's crazy. Let's get let's get
- 4:32Speaker 2: some questions here from some of the for you, from
- 4:34Speaker 2: some of the people. What question do you have one?
- 4:38Speaker 4: So what's your stance on sanctuary city and states? So
- 4:41Speaker 4: executive number one, executive or to number one. On day one,
- 4:44Speaker 4: no town in our state would be a sanctuary city.
- 4:46Speaker 4: We will not be a sanctuary state.
- 4:48Speaker 5: Yeah, we we're not going to encourage illegal immigration or
- 4:53Speaker 5: are we going to handcuff our local police, which is
- 4:55Speaker 5: exactly what that policy does.
- 4:56Speaker 4: It's wrong for New Jersey.
- 4:57Speaker 6: That's great.
- 4:59Speaker 2: What about our life bills?
- 5:01Speaker 4: I mean this, they're just the skyrock.
- 5:04Speaker 5: I mean, so Phil Murphy has us in this cap
- 5:07Speaker 5: and trade carbon tax policy known as REGGIE, the Regional
- 5:09Speaker 5: Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
- 5:11Speaker 4: It's been a total failure. I'll pull us out on
- 5:13Speaker 4: day one.
- 5:13Speaker 5: That will lower electricity bill and well, and we'll produce
- 5:17Speaker 5: more electricity to get the rates down. Jack A.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Lot of people say, this is a red this is
- 5:21Speaker 2: a blue state. How can this become a red state?
- 5:23Speaker 2: What's your answer to that?
- 5:24Speaker 4: It is not a blue state. It is a purple state.
- 5:27Speaker 5: And the people that would really dictate the outcome of
- 5:29Speaker 5: the election are not just Republicans and moderate Democrats that
- 5:32Speaker 5: are voting for me. The two point five million unaffiliated
- 5:34Speaker 5: independent voters that lean right and like everyone else, are
- 5:37Speaker 5: angry about the way things are.
- 5:38Speaker 4: They're gonna be voting for us.
- 5:40Speaker 8: All right.
- 5:40Speaker 4: What's your question for Jack? What about affordable taxes? It's
- 5:44Speaker 4: just too expensive here in New Jersey. So a couple
- 5:46Speaker 4: of things, particularly for our seniors. Are you a senior?
- 5:49Speaker 4: You know, Oh, you're gonna lose a vote. Jack. What
- 5:54Speaker 4: I've learned is.
- 5:54Speaker 5: You always ask before you assume somebody's a senior. Number one,
- 5:58Speaker 5: We're gonna do what Pennsylvania does. We're it make all
- 6:00Speaker 5: retirement to come tax free, and once you hit age
- 6:02Speaker 5: seventy in New Jersey under Governor Chedarelly, property tax is
- 6:05Speaker 5: frozen for life so you can better afford and plan
- 6:07Speaker 5: your retirement.
- 6:11Speaker 4: All right, I got one more question here from this guy.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Let's see what's your question?
- 6:16Speaker 8: I spoke to you earlier about farmland assessment, where across
- 6:19Speaker 8: the state there's thirty seven thousand people that are claiming
- 6:22Speaker 8: their farmers and they're getting out of paying five hundred
- 6:25Speaker 8: and fifty one million, five hundred thousand.
- 6:27Speaker 5: This initiat to Jack, is very very passionate about, and
- 6:30Speaker 5: we want to preserve open space here in New Jersey.
- 6:33Speaker 5: Right the Democrats are taking garden right out of the
- 6:35Speaker 5: garden state. At the same time, we can't anybody who
- 6:37Speaker 5: might be abusing the farmland assessment policy we have, So
- 6:40Speaker 5: I promise.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Jack, it's certainly something. I'll take a look at the.
- 6:42Speaker 8: Five hundred and fifty one million that these people get
- 6:45Speaker 8: out of paying. It's it's a tax transfer. The other
- 6:49Speaker 8: people in town that aren't claiming to be farmers end
- 6:52Speaker 8: up paying that five hundred and fifty one million. So
- 6:55Speaker 8: there's a half a billion dollar tax decrease that you
- 6:58Speaker 8: could do right away doing this now.
- 7:01Speaker 5: Listen, I probably has a CPA. We'll look in the
- 7:02Speaker 5: cushions at the couch. We'll find every nickel we can.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Okay, okay, one more.
- 7:10Speaker 3: The only thing that questions me is what's the sanctuary states.
- 7:13Speaker 3: How much is the cost for New Jerseys tou bought
- 7:16Speaker 3: this because it was it's always overlooked. Even when Governor
- 7:20Speaker 3: Murphy on Sunday he'll he'll never he'll never say anything
- 7:26Speaker 3: about sanctuary states. How much money it's costs in the Jersey.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Will you have transparency about what it's actually costing the
- 7:32Speaker 2: taxpayer to have this policy.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Absolutely, But let's not forget.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Since Donald Trump took the presidency again, illegal crossings are down, Nina.
- 7:42Speaker 5: And just as he has secured the border, it's my
- 7:45Speaker 5: job to secure in New Jersey. And we do that
- 7:47Speaker 5: by getting rid of century city, century state policy, which
- 7:50Speaker 5: only encourages illegal immigration.
- 7:52Speaker 2: We shouldn't be doing that, all right, I say, plass Saic,
- 7:55Speaker 2: you say sorry, I'm a one issue voter.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Jack, great, the energy is high.
- 8:01Speaker 2: It's election day. Everyone get out and vote and give
- 8:04Speaker 2: him that Jerseys Day.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Let's go and Rachel tell him to make sure your
- 8:09Speaker 5: son votes, that he's in town.
- 8:11Speaker 2: That's right, he said. They said to make sure your
- 8:15Speaker 2: son boats votes because he's here in state.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Now, well, he cast his ballot through the mail weeks ago.
- 8:22Speaker 6: Guy, fantastic. All right, thanks.
- 8:24Speaker 5: Guys, I'm Steve Doocy, I'm Brian kill me.
