- 1:18Speaker 5: Do you guys want to go around and mention our
- 1:20Speaker 5: sponsors up top? Or do you want to wait?
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's a great idea.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Let's do Yeah, my pot it's in the name.
- 1:28Speaker 4: So but is there does artists on artists on artists
- 1:31Speaker 4: have a natural sponsor that we should mention? Oh I
- 1:34Speaker 4: don't think so, so just our sponsors?
- 1:36Speaker 5: Yeah, we can just mention who is our sponsor? Would
- 1:38Speaker 5: be helpful for me?
- 1:39Speaker 4: Okay, I have a bunch, so it might be a bit.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Well, I think should we all? I mean, I assume
- 1:46Speaker 1: we all have blue apron?
- 1:47Speaker 5: Yeah, yes, yeah, so let's check.
- 1:48Speaker 3: I assume we all have better help?
- 1:50Speaker 5: Yes, better help is mine?
- 1:51Speaker 2: Yes?
- 1:52Speaker 4: Yeah, stitch your premium.
- 1:54Speaker 5: Yeah yeah yeah, I mean only for a little bit longer.
- 1:57Speaker 1: But yeah, but yeah, we still I think under contra Yes, yes,
- 2:03Speaker 1: in a big way, in a big way, in a
- 2:04Speaker 1: big way.
- 2:06Speaker 4: That's really cool.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Yeah. Is there any other sponsors that tab toast tab? Yes,
- 2:12Speaker 3: that's another one.
- 2:12Speaker 4: No, I don't really agree with their morals.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Oh god, I have a d T ADT security systems
- 2:19Speaker 1: simply safe.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Sorry, I agreed, So I have my podcast is simply Safe.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I have buy a gun dot com.
- 2:25Speaker 5: Oh were you?
- 2:27Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, sorry, didn't want to rush by yours.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Your podcast is simply safe dot com.
- 2:33Speaker 4: My podcast is simply Safe. Who murdered that girl?
- 2:37Speaker 2: Are you sponsored by simply sa Yeah.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Simply Safe present so they know who murdered that girl?
- 2:41Speaker 2: Okay, okay, yeah.
- 2:43Speaker 4: And it is a simply safe podcast. Simply Safe is
- 2:46Speaker 4: now getting into the podcast space and not just sponsoring
- 2:49Speaker 4: them but also producing them.
- 2:51Speaker 5: That's awesome. I mean, yeah, we should go around because
- 2:53Speaker 5: I've seen you guys on my feet constantly.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I think we did mention all of our sponsors, and
- 2:58Speaker 1: I'm glad to know, and not necessarily a positive way,
- 3:00Speaker 1: but we did. We did at least mention them, which
- 3:03Speaker 1: I think is important. It's good to know what not
- 3:05Speaker 1: to step on, what not to talk about exactly.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I have nothing but good things to say
- 3:10Speaker 2: about squarespace.
- 3:11Speaker 5: How do you agree with biagun dot com?
- 3:13Speaker 3: A byagun dot com is fantastic. They need so many free.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Guns, okay, and they have they have like a lot.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Of they have a lot. So legally, you can buy
- 3:22Speaker 3: a gun dot com. You can buy a gun on
- 3:24Speaker 3: buy a gun dot com and it's really great for safety.
- 3:26Speaker 3: And it's like, I'm not crazy about guns, but I
- 3:28Speaker 3: am crazy about your safety. So bygun dot com is
- 3:31Speaker 3: a great sponsorship. I can set you guys up too.
- 3:34Speaker 3: They send me like a gun a week. I don't
- 3:41Speaker 3: think you need that many, No, yeah you don't. At
- 3:43Speaker 3: this point, it's just excessive. I got closets full of guns.
- 3:46Speaker 3: But they're great, a great person to work with, incredible great.
- 3:51Speaker 5: So yeah, I mean we gotta get into it, guys.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 3:56Speaker 3: This is like the meeting of the mind.
- 3:58Speaker 4: It's crazy that I know all your but I don't
- 4:00Speaker 4: know any of your faces, Like who are you? I
- 4:04Speaker 4: feel like less shock.
- 4:06Speaker 3: I close my eyes and I picture what I thought
- 4:08Speaker 3: you guys.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Isn't that an interesting thing? Like isn't that interesting in
- 4:11Speaker 5: your brain that that happens? Like that's really interesting. It's
- 4:14Speaker 5: so interestingly something to think about, Like it's really like
- 4:18Speaker 5: what like because then you realize that your brain and
- 4:20Speaker 5: your your ears and your eyes and your mouth are
- 4:24Speaker 5: all doing different things and.
- 4:25Speaker 3: It just.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Never thought about what you guys look like.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Yeah, brain, ears, eyes mouth, brain ears, eyes mouth exactly.
- 4:34Speaker 2: That's so interesting.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Wow, because the way you guys, look and the way
- 4:37Speaker 1: your mouth is sounding like, it's so interesting to see
- 4:40Speaker 1: you in person.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Absolutely, that actually is Wait a second, that's so interesting.
- 4:45Speaker 5: We don't talk enough about that, Like we really don't talk.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Wait a second, that is actually so interesting. Can we
- 4:50Speaker 3: dive into that a little bit more? Because that was
- 4:52Speaker 3: because I wasn't even think.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Talk about it.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Oh sorry, that's my I bring around my uh music guy,
- 5:02Speaker 4: chess chess. We don't need any of that chess chess.
- 5:07Speaker 4: We don't chest chess is chest.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Eating a sandwich?
- 5:11Speaker 4: Yeah, he's he's so good on garage band and he's
- 5:13Speaker 4: also always eating a sandwich chess out. He uses garage
- 5:16Speaker 4: band because it's always it's always chess. You could show
- 5:19Speaker 4: him a little bit of and it always he always
- 5:24Speaker 4: plays it when someone goes, wait, that's really interesting.
- 5:28Speaker 3: So we're good anytime. Thank you so much.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Yeah, we have to be careful. And I love chess,
- 5:35Speaker 4: and he's paid constantly. I'm constantly, so he'll just be here.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Because but like once every two weeks or something.
- 5:44Speaker 4: No, I literally can't turn off the payroll. It's constant.
- 5:47Speaker 4: So it's just easier for me to just bring him
- 5:50Speaker 4: around instead of turning off the payroll.
- 5:51Speaker 5: Actually think chess is as actually dope.
- 5:54Speaker 4: No, Chess is dope. But be careful because if you say, oh,
- 5:57Speaker 4: that's really intriguing, or like, oh, I'm I don't like that,
- 6:01Speaker 4: will that will that will turn on?
- 6:03Speaker 3: Just stop turn Well, why don't you introduce yourself?
- 6:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I am Brittany tow in the face of simply
- 6:08Speaker 4: safe present who murder that girl? We've been doing it
- 6:11Speaker 4: for four seasons now, and I'm really, really, really excited.
- 6:15Speaker 4: I have been obsessed with true crime ever since I
- 6:17Speaker 4: graduated sixth grade and I heard about a girl who
- 6:20Speaker 4: got murdered from my middle school. And it's been.
- 6:23Speaker 2: That's awesome because that like predates true crime.
- 6:26Speaker 1: It's as like, I mean, there was true crime, but
- 6:28Speaker 1: it wasn't like no for sure way that it is
- 6:30Speaker 1: no no for sure.
- 6:31Speaker 4: It was before OJ, like it was before a lot
- 6:34Speaker 4: of things. It was before OJ like Orange Juice, So.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Before Orange Juice you would you would think about crime.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Literally, So it was really weird at the time. But
- 6:44Speaker 4: I love that now true crime is accepted as like
- 6:49Speaker 4: interests and accepted as like a cool thing to focus on.
- 6:52Speaker 4: But at the time, my parents were really worried about
- 6:54Speaker 4: me and I had to go to crazy therapy because
- 6:57Speaker 4: I was interested in like I mean, I loved playing
- 7:01Speaker 4: clue and finding where the weapon was and who was
- 7:04Speaker 4: in the house and all that stuff. And my parents
- 7:06Speaker 4: were like, why she is so obsessed with finding out
- 7:08Speaker 4: if it's a dagger or not right? And it was
- 7:12Speaker 4: because that girl when I was in sixth grade got murdered.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Well wow, so is your podcast is just following one
- 7:18Speaker 3: girl's murder or is it multiple?
- 7:20Speaker 4: It's any girl who's ever been murdered.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, that's pretty broad.
- 7:23Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, any girl. So every episode, it's a different girl.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Every episode, and you kind of talk about and.
- 7:28Speaker 4: We follow that girl and it's a story of her.
- 7:31Speaker 4: I do some research. We have a full writer's room,
- 7:34Speaker 4: and it's always goes back to if we had better
- 7:38Speaker 4: security systems in our homes, and we always talk about
- 7:42Speaker 4: the house itself. Most of the stories were like in
- 7:45Speaker 4: the eighties or in the seventies, so that's why it
- 7:48Speaker 4: always goes back to if simply Safe was around earlier enough,
- 7:52Speaker 4: we could have been more safe. And it's really one
- 7:56Speaker 4: big ad copy, which is really interesting. It's like what
- 8:00Speaker 4: if podcast? That is interesting interesting.
- 8:03Speaker 2: It's really interesting.
- 8:04Speaker 4: How fast chess? Thank you?
- 8:07Speaker 3: It's gonna be a long podcast if you do that
- 8:09Speaker 3: every time.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Chest, But it's really I N T E R S
- 8:12Speaker 4: T I n G.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Yeah, and good, I got it.
- 8:17Speaker 4: It is that Yeah, it really is.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Wait, I got it. That's so yeah, that is that.
- 8:21Speaker 5: I got it.
- 8:22Speaker 4: That's so uh yeah, So it's it really is because
- 8:26Speaker 4: I guess in the podcast space, the copy would be
- 8:29Speaker 4: either in the beginning, the middle, or the end. And
- 8:31Speaker 4: simply Safe is doing this new thing where the whole
- 8:34Speaker 4: episode is one big ad copy.
- 8:38Speaker 1: So how what is the percentage of like like, so,
- 8:41Speaker 1: do you have to mention serve save? No, that's the
- 8:45Speaker 1: other thing, simply sa So do you have to like
- 8:47Speaker 1: mention simply save within every sentence or like within like
- 8:52Speaker 1: like how much detailed do.
- 8:53Speaker 2: You have to go in?
- 8:54Speaker 3: Kind of like the opening of the Mark Maren What
- 8:56Speaker 3: wt F show, where like he's telling about his life
- 8:59Speaker 3: then all of a sudden it's a commercial for better
- 9:00Speaker 3: help or something like that.
- 9:02Speaker 2: I love wt It's.
- 9:04Speaker 3: So he just like dives in with them on such
- 9:07Speaker 3: a way I've never heard a person talk to celebrity's
- 9:11Speaker 3: also sick.
- 9:12Speaker 4: No, he's really sick. It's actually my podcast studio is
- 9:16Speaker 4: really fun because there's a mic, but there's a really
- 9:19Speaker 4: big clock that if I don't say simply safe soon enough,
- 9:25Speaker 4: the clock will get red and then and I get
- 9:30Speaker 4: and I get really hot in the room.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Oh they turn up the heat.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Yeah, so then I have to say it. And it's
- 9:37Speaker 4: a really fun way in my body for me to go, oh, goal,
- 9:41Speaker 4: that's the goal.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Goal.
- 9:42Speaker 2: They've trained you via like negative reinforcement, like a dog.
- 9:45Speaker 3: And it's nice that they did a technique that doesn't
- 9:48Speaker 3: like interrupt it auditorily. It's not just a physical feeling.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Yeah, silent, terrifying.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Yeah, but to the point where I can't take hot showers,
- 9:56Speaker 4: I can't go into a jacuzzi anymore because I'll just
- 9:58Speaker 4: keep talking about simply.
- 9:59Speaker 5: Safe, man, occupational hazard.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Right.
- 10:01Speaker 5: I can see why they wanted to build their own
- 10:03Speaker 5: studios for this too.
- 10:04Speaker 4: Oh my god, I literally can't even listen to you
- 10:06Speaker 4: without thinking about your podcast.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Please you don't have to come on, please please.
- 10:14Speaker 3: All right.
- 10:16Speaker 5: So my name is Gane Miranda, and I am I
- 10:22Speaker 5: was originally a documentary filmmaker and I started getting into
- 10:25Speaker 5: uh the podcast Realm. I do more uh, serialized episodes
- 10:31Speaker 5: of shows, so I do full seasons and I actually
- 10:34Speaker 5: focused on as as a male who really really really
- 10:37Speaker 5: loves women. I love like it's almost like great geek.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I like to me.
- 10:43Speaker 5: Like women are like women are my Marvel movies, Like
- 10:46Speaker 5: I just like peek out about them, like I know,
- 10:47Speaker 5: ever think about it.
- 10:48Speaker 4: My gosh, I totally get how Old Woman could be
- 10:50Speaker 4: a Marvel.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Movie, you know exactly. It's like that thing you really love.
- 10:53Speaker 5: I stand women like like Women's Ship is.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Like, my got so loud when you said that.
- 10:58Speaker 5: I stand women like I stand them like I stand women.
- 11:02Speaker 4: And I can tell your natural podcast because you backed up.
- 11:05Speaker 5: Exactly, yeah, like you can tell on the microphone on
- 11:07Speaker 5: the video like I I stand women like I like
- 11:11Speaker 5: and I and I won't even say it like that
- 11:13Speaker 5: quiet like that is even quiet for sometimes how I
- 11:16Speaker 5: say it.
- 11:16Speaker 3: At bars crazy.
- 11:18Speaker 5: Yeah, isn't that interesting? So so oh sorry, I n
- 11:22Speaker 5: t R I n t e r s c I
- 11:24Speaker 5: n E no, thank you, chess. So yeah, I am
- 11:29Speaker 5: the host of I Had a Feeling, which is a
- 11:31Speaker 5: serialized podcast that I follow men who other people think
- 11:36Speaker 5: maybe are murderers, are bad guys and there's no allegations
- 11:40Speaker 5: about them, but I follow them and I do really
- 11:42Speaker 5: in depth season long reports on them in case they
- 11:45Speaker 5: do come out as criminals or murderers. In some way,
- 11:49Speaker 5: I can say I had a feeling. You kind of
- 11:51Speaker 5: call it first.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, the most interesting thing about your podcast
- 11:54Speaker 3: is the kind of the ramifications of these people's lives.
- 11:57Speaker 5: Totally, I'm opending a lot of people, but so interesting.
- 12:00Speaker 2: It's vague, it's basically.
- 12:01Speaker 5: Yeah, totally.
- 12:02Speaker 6: The Vie give off is like it's such as deserving,
- 12:05Speaker 6: like it's and I hear reports it's like, oh, this
- 12:08Speaker 6: person stayed around my party when everybody left and it was
- 12:11Speaker 6: the only person to party, right, Or this person continues
- 12:14Speaker 6: to talk about their mom when everybody else has moved
- 12:17Speaker 6: on to talking about how good the wakamola.
- 12:19Speaker 3: That was such an interesting season.
- 12:23Speaker 4: You're giving women a loaded gun exactly.
- 12:26Speaker 3: That's what I want to buy a gun dot com.
- 12:29Speaker 5: Look, I'm not like a cave man. I think the
- 12:31Speaker 5: women should have the tools. That's what I'm thinking. I
- 12:33Speaker 5: think women deserve tools, Okay, and I think I'm giving
- 12:36Speaker 5: it to them. I I I understand that people can
- 12:39Speaker 5: see this as a witch hunt, but what I would
- 12:41Speaker 5: say is that which is primarily and because I'm such
- 12:43Speaker 5: a nerd when it comes to women facts, which is
- 12:45Speaker 5: were women in the past.
- 12:48Speaker 3: It's actually interesting women were.
- 12:53Speaker 5: So in the past, women were hags, but now men
- 12:55Speaker 5: can be hags. So that's kind of what I'm looking at,
- 12:58Speaker 5: and that's what I'm looking into. And I and I
- 12:59Speaker 5: am stand that people can get mad that I'm like
- 13:02Speaker 5: going after these people, but it's like, don't be weird.
- 13:05Speaker 1: It's so crazy, Like the ethics, of course, are like
- 13:07Speaker 1: so incredibly dodgy. Told every once in a while, you're right.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Yes, and that is right.
- 13:13Speaker 3: How many times have you been right about this podcast?
- 13:15Speaker 3: How many seasons have you done? And how many times
- 13:16Speaker 3: have you been right?
- 13:17Speaker 5: So I was right about Phil Spector, But that was
- 13:21Speaker 5: a flashback episode, so I actually already knew.
- 13:24Speaker 1: So you already knew, and then you were using the
- 13:26Speaker 1: information that you had to go back and Okay, I
- 13:28Speaker 1: heard after.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Episode one you had two hundred thousand submissions.
- 13:32Speaker 5: I did a lot of people. A lot of people
- 13:35Speaker 5: thought that I was indeed doing an open call, and
- 13:39Speaker 5: and I got a lot of reports about people that
- 13:42Speaker 5: were a little weird. And we have a big team.
- 13:45Speaker 5: I'm really lucky to employ about twenty five to thirty
- 13:49Speaker 5: researchers and people.
- 13:51Speaker 3: We really you and your research is following the men around.
- 13:54Speaker 5: Yeah, we really fis people to make sure that they do,
- 13:57Speaker 5: in fact give off a weird vibe.
- 13:59Speaker 3: What do you credit?
- 14:00Speaker 2: What is that is important?
- 14:02Speaker 4: That's get benefits and to live your life nine to five?
- 14:06Speaker 4: Just like walking the line to see if a guy's
- 14:08Speaker 4: weird or a problematic.
- 14:11Speaker 5: Exactly exactly and like, and I only do this because
- 14:13Speaker 5: I'm just such a nerd for women and women's stuff,
- 14:15Speaker 5: like soon as to be Anthony, not only her, but
- 14:17Speaker 5: also Amelia Earhart, Like.
- 14:20Speaker 2: No, I love her. She's great, She's so interesting.
- 14:24Speaker 3: One of the most famous missing women of all time.
- 14:26Speaker 3: I would say totally. She kind of started the whole genre.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Really without her, we wouldn't be anywhere we really like,
- 14:32Speaker 1: where is she?
- 14:38Speaker 4: And how?
- 14:40Speaker 2: And why?
- 14:41Speaker 3: Right?
- 14:42Speaker 2: And in what way?
- 14:44Speaker 3: Exactly?
- 14:45Speaker 2: And that's the question that I have.
- 14:47Speaker 4: Thank you so much for saying that, where the fuck
- 14:52Speaker 4: is she?
- 14:53Speaker 3: Where is she?
- 14:54Speaker 2: And That's what I'm asking.
- 14:55Speaker 4: And if we're walking away with anything today, it's so
- 14:58Speaker 4: where is Amelia Earhart?
- 14:59Speaker 5: Totally?
- 15:00Speaker 2: And we'll never know?
- 15:01Speaker 5: I mean I really want to hear more about you.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Too, of course, please Well, I of course I am
- 15:08Speaker 1: Jessica Robbins, and I host.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Well now I host alone.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I used to host with my comedy partner Jenna Robbins,
- 15:17Speaker 1: my sister, your twins. We used to Okay, well I host,
- 15:23Speaker 1: I could just say it. I host it on my
- 15:25Speaker 1: Cute Crimes, and we follow crimes that are like kind
- 15:30Speaker 1: of cute and adorable and like we sort of like
- 15:33Speaker 1: like crimes are really scary, and so we present them
- 15:35Speaker 1: in like a way that's accessible and in a way
- 15:37Speaker 1: that like says, guys, don't don't don't get excited and
- 15:42Speaker 1: get homicided.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Right, that's so cute, stay excited, don't get homicide.
- 15:48Speaker 3: I can't believe you.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Just that's so good.
- 15:50Speaker 3: And I have.
- 15:51Speaker 5: Literal goose bumps. You saying that like so close to.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Me, And because I think it's like it's on the
- 15:56Speaker 1: t shirts, it's on the billboards, it's on everything. Cute
- 15:59Speaker 1: crimes is like and we have different divisions. It's like
- 16:02Speaker 1: we are and it's just become this thing that's so big.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Like when my sister and I were looking at pictures
- 16:10Speaker 1: of crime scenes in our garage, We never expected that
- 16:16Speaker 1: so many people would tune in and so many people
- 16:18Speaker 1: would want to uh listen, and that cuts would want
- 16:22Speaker 1: to sponsor us, and uh we never expected to have
- 16:26Speaker 1: so many crime quties walking around.
- 16:27Speaker 3: There's so many crime cuties it's like tough to miss
- 16:30Speaker 3: them now, you know.
- 16:31Speaker 5: One of my favorite seasons is when you because you
- 16:33Speaker 5: give nicknames to all the murderers and criminals that you study. Yeah,
- 16:36Speaker 5: and go over and I love when you called the
- 16:38Speaker 5: BTK killer the the bunny, the bunny Tiara uh t bunny,
- 16:45Speaker 5: Tiara carrit like.
- 16:49Speaker 3: A diamond.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Bunny Tiara carrot. Because murder is scary.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Murder is scary, and we should be talking about it
- 16:57Speaker 1: in a way that's accessible so that we don't repeat
- 17:00Speaker 1: the mistakes of the past.
- 17:03Speaker 4: If you make it cute, you make it approachable.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Yeah, And I love that you always talk about like
- 17:08Speaker 3: not making mistakes the past, like when you did the
- 17:10Speaker 3: BTK Killer, like how the women kind of made a
- 17:13Speaker 3: lot of mistakes.
- 17:13Speaker 4: That was It's like, you know what, no one else
- 17:16Speaker 4: can say it besides you and your sister exactly exactly
- 17:20Speaker 4: because when you guys just renamed Ted Bunny, Ted Bundy,
- 17:23Speaker 4: Hello Kitty.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Yes, Yeah, that was so good.
- 17:26Speaker 3: It was crazy because it wasn't a full rename. You
- 17:28Speaker 3: still call them Ted Bundy, but it was Ted Bundy, Hello, Kitty.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Bunny, Hello Kitty, because it's like, we still want to
- 17:33Speaker 1: talk about these guys, but actually saying their names maybe
- 17:36Speaker 1: exposes sort of the deep horror that it like shouldn't
- 17:39Speaker 1: maybe be said on a podcast. But like if you
- 17:41Speaker 1: put a little name on it, it's not as bad.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's cute.
- 17:45Speaker 4: And I'm sorry about what went down.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Yeah, what happened. I mean it's been pretty public, but
- 17:49Speaker 3: maybe you can give your side. Yeah, we've heard your
- 17:52Speaker 3: sister's side online.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and I know and I know and I know.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I'll just say it. The crime Cuties went overboard. We
- 17:59Speaker 2: went over and.
- 18:00Speaker 4: We the fans did or you do we did.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Well, we did.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I'm sure you've seen the articles that we faked Jenna's
- 18:10Speaker 1: death to launch a sort of really hands on crime
- 18:15Speaker 1: story investigation and then she was found partying in uh
- 18:21Speaker 1: in Mikonos and the whole thing kind of fell apart,
- 18:25Speaker 1: and well, you really, because we really like she was
- 18:27Speaker 1: gone for forty eight hours, and we really for those
- 18:29Speaker 1: forty eight hours, we were really good, and we really
- 18:31Speaker 1: stuck to the story and we really honestly think that
- 18:34Speaker 1: thought that it would work. But then she'd like heard
- 18:36Speaker 1: of a party and she had to go to one.
- 18:38Speaker 4: And will you address the rumors that s Afora paid
- 18:41Speaker 4: you three hundred and fifty grand. Yeah, to do the
- 18:45Speaker 4: death with all of the lipstick the makeup.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Well, I can't comment on ongoing legal battles, but what
- 18:54Speaker 1: I can comment on is that we regret the amount
- 18:57Speaker 1: of lipstick that was found on Jenna when she was
- 19:00Speaker 1: discovered alive. We regret that, and we don't we understand
- 19:04Speaker 1: why the optics of that are bad. I cannot comment,
- 19:07Speaker 1: of course, in a legal sense.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Yeah, sure, I just want to like publicly just say that,
- 19:11Speaker 4: like I'm sorry for all that and I but I
- 19:13Speaker 4: do want to say I think it's unfortunate that your
- 19:16Speaker 4: crime cuties were second to a brand deal and that
- 19:21Speaker 4: went first. I just want to say that. I just
- 19:23Speaker 4: want to say, as someone who hosts a Okay that
- 19:28Speaker 4: I think it's I just think I just think, see,
- 19:32Speaker 4: this is when Chess goes because I know he knows
- 19:35Speaker 4: that the stakes are getting higher and chest no go
- 19:37Speaker 4: back to the sandwich.
- 19:39Speaker 3: This is a big sandwich for him. It's like a
- 19:41Speaker 3: big turkey club.
- 19:42Speaker 2: It's a big HOGI and I'll never apologized.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I just want to apologize. I want to set the
- 19:48Speaker 1: record straight. We never should have faked a death.
- 19:51Speaker 4: In to make money, Like like you hurt your fans.
- 19:57Speaker 1: You know we're in the right place when we face
- 20:00Speaker 1: to the death, I think, like, because you know, okay,
- 20:04Speaker 1: because we were going to teach women about the dangers
- 20:09Speaker 1: of getting murdered. We so many women are fine with
- 20:12Speaker 1: getting murdered, and we were the only ones like actively
- 20:15Speaker 1: coming out against that.
- 20:16Speaker 3: It was saying so many people were just fine with
- 20:19Speaker 3: women getting.
- 20:20Speaker 2: And it's such a bummer.
- 20:21Speaker 1: It's it like literally bums me out so much when
- 20:24Speaker 1: I hear of a crime cutie who gets murdered, because
- 20:26Speaker 1: it's like you were one of us, like right, And.
- 20:29Speaker 5: For me, it's like every time, it's like it's like
- 20:31Speaker 5: I'm losing an iron man. Every time I hear a
- 20:33Speaker 5: woman has been.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Killed and you must take it on pressure, like.
- 20:38Speaker 5: It's like they're retiring a character that is a woman's life.
- 20:41Speaker 5: Like every time, like it breaks my heart because it's
- 20:44Speaker 5: like I don't get to watch that storyline again.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Yeah, and you must go because like your whole thing
- 20:49Speaker 3: is trying to prevent that, and I'm trying to constant
- 20:52Speaker 3: the ones that get away.
- 20:53Speaker 5: And no one will know what I what I've prevented,
- 20:55Speaker 5: because I prevented it. That's what's hard for me.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:58Speaker 2: But anyway, I've been blabbing so hard.
- 21:02Speaker 4: And I'm shy. I got a little intense, and it's okay.
- 21:05Speaker 2: There's a little bit of a rivalry between all the
- 21:08Speaker 2: CREWM Gerger Crime broadcasts, but we don't have to get
- 21:10Speaker 2: into it.
- 21:11Speaker 4: No, I just care about it because I respect you all.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I have respect it, and I want to hear
- 21:16Speaker 1: this famous voice coming out of that microphone.
- 21:20Speaker 4: I literally can't believe you haven't even said your name.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Mat Hey and Kirsten. In twenty sixteen, I received a voicemail,
- 21:29Speaker 3: Oh my god, my friend is missing. I think I
- 21:33Speaker 3: was interested. Didn't know what to make of this, so
- 21:36Speaker 3: I looked a little deeper. The woman missing Rebecca flat
- 21:40Speaker 3: of Ohio County, Ohio, and I knew I had to
- 21:44Speaker 3: dive in deeper. This is ooh girl, she gone. So
- 21:48Speaker 3: that's thanks for playing.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Thank you for playing it, Thank you for playing your
- 21:54Speaker 2: bot playing.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Now why do you say who you are?
- 21:59Speaker 3: So, guys, that was just the beginning of my podcast
- 22:02Speaker 3: that I played. My name is Kristin. My name is
- 22:06Speaker 3: Did you grab.
- 22:06Speaker 4: The ox cord or something?
- 22:08Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 22:08Speaker 2: I just I am actually just curious how you did that?
- 22:12Speaker 4: So because I know Jess has like his garage band
- 22:15Speaker 4: set up, but how did you do that?
- 22:17Speaker 3: So I basically I just ran the USB right into
- 22:19Speaker 3: my phone and press play and it's pretty easy on Spotify.
- 22:23Speaker 3: So my name is Kirsten bunky My name is Kirsten Bunkie.
- 22:29Speaker 3: I am a true crime podcaster like we all are,
- 22:33Speaker 3: but mine's a little different. Instead of doing a lot
- 22:35Speaker 3: of different ones, I'm just following one case to see
- 22:40Speaker 3: what happens. And that's the case of Rebecca Flat, a
- 22:44Speaker 3: girl who supposedly went missing in Ohio County, Ohio in
- 22:48Speaker 3: twenty sixteen. The only person to report her missing her friend,
- 22:53Speaker 3: her friend Gwen. Gwen is now one of my good friends,
- 22:57Speaker 3: and since then the case has only gotten crazy.
- 23:00Speaker 2: What I love so much about your coverage of the
- 23:03Speaker 2: Rebecca Flat case is that, like, I think we've all
- 23:06Speaker 2: covered Rebecca Flat, or.
- 23:07Speaker 3: At least we have multiple times.
- 23:09Speaker 4: No, I have all three of us and.
- 23:11Speaker 2: The Rebecca Flat case, it's about thirty minutes to explain. Yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 2: because you have stretched it out.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Well, yeah, because she was found. She was found in
- 23:20Speaker 3: like a week.
- 23:21Speaker 4: The fact that you are still in productive and that
- 23:23Speaker 4: you still have material to draw from for Rebecca Flat
- 23:26Speaker 4: is on.
- 23:28Speaker 3: It's like that, but people don't realize it's like cases
- 23:31Speaker 3: go on. You know, yes, she just ended up driving
- 23:34Speaker 3: to Vegas with her boyfriend and forgetting to tell her friend,
- 23:36Speaker 3: but it's just so much more than that, Like, well.
- 23:39Speaker 5: What was super dope is that you have those four
- 23:41Speaker 5: episodes where you interview everyone who was in the same
- 23:44Speaker 5: rush hour traffic that she was in going to.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Vegas because they we didn't know where she was and
- 23:51Speaker 3: people didn't and so people and that was one of
- 23:53Speaker 3: the most heartbreaking, groundbreaking episode.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Can you played that section?
- 23:57Speaker 3: Yeah, sure, I would love it.
- 23:58Speaker 4: Yeah, you're hooked up anyway to the system.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Let me just and episode four and thirty two seconds
- 24:04Speaker 3: thirty two minutes and twelve seconds in and okay, play.
- 24:07Speaker 5: I was in Barstow and I was heading towards Vegas.
- 24:12Speaker 3: And why were you heading to Vegas?
- 24:14Speaker 5: I was going to go for a friends bachelor party.
- 24:17Speaker 3: And you saw her in her car.
- 24:20Speaker 5: You say, no, I didn't see her. I was just
- 24:21Speaker 5: in the rush hour traffic.
- 24:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I was heading to Barstow from kind of Las Vegas direction.
- 24:27Speaker 2: I was headed to my mom's wedding.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Oh and you say you saw her in traffic.
- 24:33Speaker 2: No, I just kind of was in traffic for a while.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Yeah, so I was in Barstow, just headed there. I
- 24:39Speaker 4: was headed to the Barstow.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Why are you going to Barstow?
- 24:43Speaker 4: You have to get my permission to record me.
- 24:46Speaker 3: The last one sounded suspicious. I knew there was something up.
- 24:50Speaker 5: And then you followed her for a month and a half.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, that season was wild. She was just a
- 24:55Speaker 3: lost girl. She was lost.
- 24:59Speaker 4: But that woman was illegally selling drugs. But you didn't
- 25:01Speaker 4: follow that. You were selling her drama with her sister.
- 25:04Speaker 5: Yeah, I did think she was suspicious, heading two Barstow
- 25:07Speaker 5: from Barstow.
- 25:09Speaker 2: You can't cover women.
- 25:11Speaker 5: They can't cover women, and it never would but if
- 25:13Speaker 5: but that girl iron Man was cool. Yeah, absolutely. I
- 25:17Speaker 5: mean I'm just rooting for her and I'm gonn follow her, and.
- 25:19Speaker 3: She was crazy, and the whole time I just didn't
- 25:22Speaker 3: know what to believe because she would say one thing,
- 25:23Speaker 3: but then I would feel like another thing. And so
- 25:26Speaker 3: that was like a lot of the case with the
- 25:27Speaker 3: Rebecca flat thing is one thing and then just feeling
- 25:32Speaker 3: like a hunch, like there's something different going on, and
- 25:35Speaker 3: I just needed to get to the bottom of it,
- 25:37Speaker 3: right right, I mean that's so that woman, her name
- 25:40Speaker 3: was Hillary. She was a little emotionally lost. By season four,
- 25:44Speaker 3: she finally figured it out. She's in a great place now.
- 25:47Speaker 3: She's dating a guy named Douglas.
- 25:49Speaker 5: We're gonna hear about this on the pod because I
- 25:50Speaker 5: don't want toy spoilers.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Oh, I can maybe play you a little prelim of
- 25:53Speaker 3: that episode if you want sure this is okay. Let
- 25:56Speaker 3: me just go into my drug box. My editor, Rickard
- 25:59Speaker 3: sends this to me. Okay, and it's like, so, Hillary,
- 26:04Speaker 3: how has it been?
- 26:09Speaker 4: You have to ask Douglas's permission before he goes on Mike.
- 26:14Speaker 2: I could go on, Mike, babe, what do you want?
- 26:16Speaker 4: Put the corona down?
- 26:17Speaker 3: Doug Noster talk to me.
- 26:20Speaker 2: She could talk to me. Yeah, So what's up?
- 26:25Speaker 3: Where were you on the night of twenty sixteen May second.
- 26:28Speaker 4: I'm sick of this slot with her mic and her
- 26:31Speaker 4: podcast paying me two dollars.
- 26:34Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 26:34Speaker 3: I think I was.
- 26:37Speaker 2: I was a monster truck rally.
- 26:38Speaker 3: I think monster truck rally, he said, But I didn't
- 26:41Speaker 3: believe him. He just had away about him that felt different.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Are you narrating this live in front of me?
- 26:47Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 26:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I haven't running monster truck rallies for good. No, no, no,
- 26:51Speaker 5: thirty forty years.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Thirty forty years. That feels like longer than monster trucks
- 26:55Speaker 3: have been around.
- 26:57Speaker 5: It's not.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Can I just say I'm a monster truck historian, and
- 27:00Speaker 1: I can tell you that monster trucks were.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Invented around the fifties, the nineteen fifties, and you see these.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Sort of models we start to see around then, and
- 27:10Speaker 1: so it would have been feasible that he would have
- 27:11Speaker 1: been at a monster truck rally.
- 27:13Speaker 3: This is doctor Edgar white specialist in lustered trucks. I
- 27:18Speaker 3: sat down with him and we had tea and he
- 27:20Speaker 3: explained all about monsters.
- 27:21Speaker 5: So, yeah, tea started a long time ago, thousands of
- 27:25Speaker 5: years ago, people have been drinking tea.
- 27:29Speaker 3: That was doctor white Ford. He is a tea expert
- 27:33Speaker 3: I sat down with to talk about tea experts.
- 27:37Speaker 4: Was a name that we coined in Greece in fifteen
- 27:41Speaker 4: twenty nine. When you nixt and when an expert, it
- 27:44Speaker 4: really means ah stretch of things.
- 27:46Speaker 5: Kirsten, I need to turn this off.
- 27:50Speaker 3: It was just about to get good. No, but you
- 27:53Speaker 3: have to The twist after that. The twist after that
- 27:56Speaker 3: is I'm on.
- 27:57Speaker 2: The edge of my seat.
- 27:59Speaker 4: I'm on the I tell you, I just like that twist.
- 28:06Speaker 4: I sit in front of a clock every day.
- 28:08Speaker 5: That warms me up.
- 28:09Speaker 4: If I don't say add copy enough.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I think it's so amazing the way you stretch it out.
- 28:16Speaker 4: It's so cool.
- 28:17Speaker 3: It's just it's so funny. And I feel like this
- 28:19Speaker 3: this season, guys. I don't want to spoil anything, but
- 28:21Speaker 3: we really get to some interesting botty. I'm done with you.
- 28:25Speaker 5: Well, so I do you want to talk about what
- 28:27Speaker 5: it's like to be a true crime podcaster A little bit? Right?
- 28:30Speaker 2: Right?
- 28:31Speaker 5: One of the big things is a lot of people
- 28:34Speaker 5: see us as insensitive. Yeah, a lot of people see
- 28:37Speaker 5: us as exploiting dead bodies or crimes or you know.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Oh, I've heard it all.
- 28:44Speaker 1: I've seen the Facebook page.
- 28:48Speaker 5: Oh yeah, and I it's a good Facebook page. There's
- 28:51Speaker 5: just a lot of women on it. This is where
- 28:52Speaker 5: I get conflicted.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Okay, so you don't like the message, but you do
- 28:55Speaker 2: like that there are a lot of women.
- 28:56Speaker 5: One of the women are voicing their opinions, but I
- 28:58Speaker 5: I don't like it that they don't. It's against another woman.
- 29:01Speaker 5: I have a lot of that's tough.
- 29:02Speaker 2: That's tough for you, and that's hard.
- 29:04Speaker 5: Yeah, it's really hard. It's mostly hard for me. Yeah.
- 29:07Speaker 5: I guess my question is, have you guys had encounters
- 29:09Speaker 5: with survivors of victims or families?
- 29:12Speaker 3: Family families are pain Yeah, they really complain. I've heard,
- 29:18Speaker 3: like your podcast, I've heard a lot both of you guys, like,
- 29:21Speaker 3: I've heard families come after you for life.
- 29:23Speaker 2: It's tough. I had to use a special filter.
- 29:26Speaker 1: We have our it team built a plug in that
- 29:30Speaker 1: blocks any message from someone who's had a death in
- 29:33Speaker 1: the family of suspicions origin because we just we were
- 29:36Speaker 1: getting bombarded.
- 29:38Speaker 5: For your mental health.
- 29:38Speaker 2: To do that, I just wanted to check in and
- 29:41Speaker 2: take some time from myself.
- 29:43Speaker 3: What do they say to you? Like, what's like the
- 29:45Speaker 3: emails that you get the.
- 29:48Speaker 1: F you uh delivered a lot of factually inaccurate information
- 29:53Speaker 1: or the information was factual and you delivered it in
- 29:56Speaker 1: like a really glib way.
- 29:58Speaker 2: And I don't like that my murdered sister got like
- 30:02Speaker 2: a cute nickname.
- 30:03Speaker 1: I don't think you should nickname the women either, like
- 30:05Speaker 1: I think, like I don't think a lot of them
- 30:07Speaker 1: feel that we shouldn't be nicknaming the murderers, but they
- 30:10Speaker 1: really feel like we shouldn't be nicknaming the victims.
- 30:13Speaker 3: I don't get that. I don't get that at all.
- 30:15Speaker 1: I don't get that because at the end of the day,
- 30:17Speaker 1: it's entertainment, right, It's like it's something casual that you
- 30:20Speaker 1: can listen to in the car, super casual the way
- 30:23Speaker 1: to therapy to fix yourself, and then on the way
- 30:26Speaker 1: back to get an outside ebowl. You people just want
- 30:30Speaker 1: something like it's really just a hang more than anything.
- 30:34Speaker 4: It's a hang, especially when we do so many I
- 30:39Speaker 4: think you and I like, like my library, my catalog
- 30:41Speaker 4: is so big. Yeah, so I have literally like so
- 30:46Speaker 4: many victims.
- 30:47Speaker 5: Yeah, that's I get into a lot of trouble. I mean,
- 30:49Speaker 5: I'm just having fun, right, My podcast is just interesting.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Like so fun. You're following these men around.
- 30:55Speaker 5: I saw it coming and it's fun and it's interesting,
- 30:58Speaker 5: and I get into a lot of trouble when and
- 31:00Speaker 5: usually in the last three episodes of every season, I
- 31:03Speaker 5: detail what I think they're going to do when they're
- 31:06Speaker 5: going to do it. So they say dates and I
- 31:08Speaker 5: say crimes, and I say, I think this guy is
- 31:11Speaker 5: going to go to Tahoe and I think he's going
- 31:13Speaker 5: to murder a woman this day.
- 31:14Speaker 2: And are you placing side bets on.
- 31:16Speaker 3: These or and there is what I saw that there's
- 31:19Speaker 3: been like a big booking Vegas thing about your podcast.
- 31:22Speaker 5: There really really likes.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Me, and she okay, I'm interested.
- 31:28Speaker 5: She wants to do some little side bets. So I
- 31:30Speaker 5: actually have a partnership with a resort world down in
- 31:34Speaker 5: Vegas and you can ship.
- 31:36Speaker 2: My God, is that will he do It? Dot Com?
- 31:38Speaker 5: I think it is. I think it's will he do it?
- 31:40Speaker 3: There's so many side bets to like the main bet,
- 31:43Speaker 3: but the side bets are crazy because it's also like
- 31:45Speaker 3: their side bets that you're going to do something.
- 31:46Speaker 5: Yeah, it's great, yeah, yeah.
- 31:48Speaker 2: And that's actually like popping yeah.
- 31:51Speaker 5: And I am announcing we are with DraftKings. Now who
- 31:53Speaker 5: is bet on whether or not I'm going to do stuff?
- 31:57Speaker 5: And I'm taking I'm reading all of it, and I'm
- 31:58Speaker 5: taking it into account and if I like you, I'll
- 32:00Speaker 5: probably do it.
- 32:01Speaker 4: That is so cool.
- 32:02Speaker 3: Well that's actually illegal, so cool. You can't do that
- 32:04Speaker 3: because if you actually bet on if you're going to
- 32:06Speaker 3: do it and then go to it, you'll go to
- 32:07Speaker 3: jail for Yeah, because you can't bet on yourself to
- 32:11Speaker 3: or bet on yourself to win or lose.
- 32:12Speaker 5: That's right, You're not betting on myself. I'm telling them.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Okay, Well, I'm just letting you know, like if you
- 32:17Speaker 3: do bet that you're going to kill you somebody and
- 32:19Speaker 3: then murder them, you will go to jail for fraud.
- 32:21Speaker 5: Well, it's a lot of my community, a lot of
- 32:22Speaker 5: community the primary charge.
- 32:24Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, because it's like it's like when there's two
- 32:28Speaker 4: items on sale, this this, the item that is the
- 32:30Speaker 4: cheapest is the one that's Yeah, okay, I have a
- 32:34Speaker 4: question for you because you're just talking about this, like
- 32:36Speaker 4: which one you like might work with? Like which uh
- 32:39Speaker 4: like a dealer or whatever, sponsor or whatever question for
- 32:44Speaker 4: the table and it might because I'm like really.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Young, Oh my gosh, how young are you?
- 32:49Speaker 4: I'm twenty four?
- 32:50Speaker 3: Wait, that's so interesting.
- 32:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Sorry, I N T R E S T I G
- 32:56Speaker 3: there's three chests, so he got more insta he just
- 33:00Speaker 3: added more tracks.
- 33:02Speaker 4: Oh god, and I can't turn off their payroll either
- 33:05Speaker 4: Chest Best and Wall. No. No, anyway, when when you
- 33:11Speaker 4: guys work with these ad companies and they pay you
- 33:14Speaker 4: for their ads or these other companies, do they own you?
- 33:20Speaker 5: So?
- 33:21Speaker 2: Okay, you're whimpray, that's okay.
- 33:24Speaker 4: No, that's just me sweating.
- 33:25Speaker 2: No, you're sweating out of your mouth with sound.
- 33:27Speaker 4: Okay, So I think that.
- 33:30Speaker 1: You are being owned right now, and it's not This
- 33:33Speaker 1: isn't like common Like I would say that I am
- 33:36Speaker 1: beholden to my sponsors and that I'm obsessed with them
- 33:38Speaker 1: and that I love them and I love all the
- 33:39Speaker 1: products that we talk about on uh Crime Cuties. But
- 33:43Speaker 1: I would say that your situation feels a little like
- 33:45Speaker 1: do you feel safe?
- 33:47Speaker 5: Like?
- 33:47Speaker 4: Is like I would No, I don't want to know what.
- 33:49Speaker 4: I don't know what you're talking about?
- 33:50Speaker 3: Okay?
- 33:51Speaker 2: In your contract? Like how deep does it go? Like?
- 33:54Speaker 4: Are you I am so safe? I'm simply safe.
- 33:57Speaker 2: How many episodes you get contracted for it?
- 33:59Speaker 4: I don't know and have?
- 34:01Speaker 2: And for how long.
- 34:05Speaker 4: I think it'll go? As long as there are murders happening.
- 34:09Speaker 3: Okay, so that does sound like they own you. Yeah,
- 34:11Speaker 3: in this case, it does sound like they own you.
- 34:13Speaker 4: So the clock goes where I go, Oh, that's what
- 34:17Speaker 4: that is.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Oh the hovering thing behind you.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, I thought that was a new room for Air.
- 34:25Speaker 3: I also thought that that's a really good guy.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Was a sponsor of mine, and I love that.
- 34:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I just thought they released something for air and yeah,
- 34:33Speaker 3: finally clean.
- 34:36Speaker 4: Because it's it's the standing room. But because they were
- 34:39Speaker 4: releasing those two no, yeah, no, it's uh, I'm a
- 34:43Speaker 4: little stuck. And I think I'm curious about your relationship
- 34:47Speaker 4: with these sponsors, because I think I got myself in
- 34:50Speaker 4: a little bit of ackle.
- 34:52Speaker 1: I have really positive relationships with sponsors, so I can
- 34:55Speaker 1: tell you that it can be a different way.
- 34:57Speaker 6: You know.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I have sponsored with Lisa Frank to come out with
- 35:01Speaker 1: if I go missing, Lisa Frank themed folders, so finally,
- 35:06Speaker 1: like women can put together folders that contain everything that
- 35:11Speaker 1: they would have had that would be helpful for if
- 35:15Speaker 1: they went missing. So fingerprints, a contact information list of
- 35:20Speaker 1: ex boyfriends, like just literally like like this is a
- 35:24Speaker 1: real thing. Like I know that there is a lot
- 35:26Speaker 1: of competition on the If I Go Missing market. Yeah,
- 35:30Speaker 1: I kind of bought out the competition with the Lisa
- 35:32Speaker 1: Frank sponsorship.
- 35:33Speaker 5: I have the same thing.
- 35:34Speaker 3: Yeah, if Rebecca Flat goes missing again, has.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Rebecca Flat told you to stop at all?
- 35:40Speaker 3: Yeah? Kind of. Yeah, We're not like on super good
- 35:45Speaker 3: terms right now.
- 35:45Speaker 4: I mean I couldn't imagine like having a really rough,
- 35:48Speaker 4: like almost like going missing, being found and then trying
- 35:52Speaker 4: to move on with your life, but a podcast still
- 35:54Speaker 4: making it about.
- 35:55Speaker 3: It in a way.
- 35:56Speaker 2: You are the clock for Rebecca.
- 35:58Speaker 3: That's so interesting you put it that way. I've never
- 36:01Speaker 3: actually thought about that. There was a season that she
- 36:03Speaker 3: tried to go missing again just to avoid me, and
- 36:05Speaker 3: I had to learn that through the season. It was
- 36:07Speaker 3: really interesting.
- 36:08Speaker 5: Well, and I only know she's running for senator, so
- 36:10Speaker 5: this is just really hard for her.
- 36:11Speaker 3: Yeah, she's running for senator, which is such an interesting
- 36:14Speaker 3: thing that we do not touch at all. You don't
- 36:16Speaker 3: touch on that. We're more interested in her missing. I'm
- 36:19Speaker 3: more interested in her missing. So that was what happened,
- 36:22Speaker 3: Like getting to the bottom of what happened in that week.
- 36:25Speaker 3: Because people say that are kind of close to her.
- 36:27Speaker 3: The people that I've talked to on my podcast in
- 36:29Speaker 3: like season two or three. Season three say that she
- 36:32Speaker 3: came back changed. They say that she came back.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Yeah, well, my daughter came back and she came through
- 36:38Speaker 2: the door. She'd been on a trip and she had
- 36:41Speaker 2: a nose piercing.
- 36:43Speaker 3: She had changed her nose really.
- 36:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 36:45Speaker 1: There was a little little diamond about this big on
- 36:48Speaker 1: a note, So she really changed.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:50Speaker 5: I did a lot of those piercings in two thousand
- 36:52Speaker 5: and six. I couldn't tell you one from the other.
- 36:55Speaker 3: I work at claire You did a lot of notes.
- 36:59Speaker 5: Girls come in all the day. They want to get
- 37:00Speaker 5: their nose piers. They love getting their nose piers. Yeah.
- 37:03Speaker 4: So a zoning permit of a Claire's is really simple.
- 37:06Speaker 4: It's just basically a small room.
- 37:09Speaker 3: So it's just a small room.
- 37:12Speaker 5: My name is Jacob Chimboy.
- 37:13Speaker 4: I was in the movie room.
- 37:16Speaker 5: And I really liked being a part of it. Yeah.
- 37:19Speaker 1: So what tremble is a physical thing that happens to
- 37:22Speaker 1: your body when you're shaking. It's a it's a nerve
- 37:25Speaker 1: response or sorry, are you a patient?
- 37:28Speaker 2: I can't remember.
- 37:28Speaker 3: And that's when I realized I would have to tremble
- 37:31Speaker 3: my way to the top of this one, turn this off,
- 37:34Speaker 3: please please, It was just about to get good. It
- 37:41Speaker 3: was just about to get good.
- 37:42Speaker 2: I hate that I'm on the edge of my sad.
- 37:44Speaker 3: You guys have no idea. It was just about to happen.
- 37:47Speaker 4: Way that makes me feel lost but suddenly found.
- 37:51Speaker 2: I know that you're about to get somewhere. I can
- 37:53Speaker 2: feel it, and I know that you're not, but I really
- 37:55Speaker 2: want you to.
- 37:57Speaker 3: So I have got a question because these are my
- 38:00Speaker 3: favorite girlies and one guy, thank you, and I just
- 38:04Speaker 3: like because we're on the field, like what is your
- 38:06Speaker 3: favorite murder? And what's your favorite case? Like, like we
- 38:10Speaker 3: got to talk about we gotta address it, like that's
- 38:11Speaker 3: your favorite?
- 38:12Speaker 4: Like yes, yeah, okay, are you what are you coming?
- 38:22Speaker 2: No, we have to keep that down. We have to
- 38:24Speaker 2: keep down how much we like it.
- 38:26Speaker 1: We have to at least sound a little bit like
- 38:28Speaker 1: we don't like it, Like it's not a sex thing.
- 38:31Speaker 3: What were you doing?
- 38:32Speaker 5: I've never seen something like that before? What were you doing?
- 38:35Speaker 3: Got me?
- 38:37Speaker 5: I've never seen something like that.
- 38:38Speaker 3: You can I ask you a question? We need to
- 38:41Speaker 3: know more about it. Yeah, let's let's just take a second.
- 38:44Speaker 5: Actually, women do that?
- 38:45Speaker 4: What do you do for sex?
- 38:46Speaker 3: What can I ask you a personal question, a couple
- 38:49Speaker 3: of personal questions. It's fine. What your are?
- 38:52Speaker 5: You?
- 38:53Speaker 3: Are you straight?
- 38:54Speaker 5: I am?
- 38:55Speaker 3: Have you been with a woman?
- 38:56Speaker 5: I have not been with a woman because I think
- 38:57Speaker 5: it would be disrespectful to bother them in away?
- 39:00Speaker 3: Do you feel like you really want to be with
- 39:02Speaker 3: a woman though, But being with a.
- 39:03Speaker 4: Woman isn't bothering her?
- 39:04Speaker 5: Well, I would like, here's my con my conflict. Okay.
- 39:08Speaker 5: I love women. I want women to be free, and
- 39:11Speaker 5: I feel like if I had a woman that I
- 39:13Speaker 5: was connected to, it feels like I would be collecting her.
- 39:16Speaker 5: And it's that's wrong. It's not right.
- 39:18Speaker 3: Let them finish. Let let them finish, Let the finish,
- 39:21Speaker 3: let's get to the bottom.
- 39:23Speaker 5: Are not So I let her go because I don't
- 39:26Speaker 5: want her to be chained by me, because she can
- 39:27Speaker 5: do anything she wants to do, and why would she
- 39:29Speaker 5: want to stick around with me? So I like to
- 39:31Speaker 5: watch them in the wild.
- 39:33Speaker 3: Okay, So when you watch them, oh, I.
- 39:35Speaker 5: Watched them every single day. I interact with women every
- 39:38Speaker 5: single day, and I let them go in.
- 39:39Speaker 2: A natural way, like to make sure they're safe.
- 39:41Speaker 3: And you and do you remember each one that you
- 39:43Speaker 3: talk to? You write it down somewhere.
- 39:45Speaker 5: It's my life in a series of ways. Right, You
- 39:47Speaker 5: guys all are women toward your life. They came toward
- 39:50Speaker 5: my life. You guys are all women that have entered
- 39:52Speaker 5: my life in a really exciting way. Sometimes there's a
- 39:55Speaker 5: female bag person. Sometimes there's a bad so you know
- 39:59Speaker 5: what a store. Sometimes there's a female bus driver. Sometimes
- 40:03Speaker 5: there's female doctors. I mean, there's all sorts of women
- 40:05Speaker 5: that are so interesting.
- 40:06Speaker 3: And what makes them so interesting, Well, it's just that
- 40:09Speaker 3: they're women.
- 40:09Speaker 5: And I just think that's so cool, and I think
- 40:11Speaker 5: it's awesome.
- 40:12Speaker 3: And how is that cool?
- 40:13Speaker 5: It's cool because women are awesome.
- 40:17Speaker 4: What's your favorite movie?
- 40:18Speaker 5: My favorite movie is A League of their Own?
- 40:22Speaker 4: And where'd you grow up?
- 40:23Speaker 5: I grew up in Maryland.
- 40:26Speaker 4: And I'm just curious about you because you're just so
- 40:29Speaker 4: interesting and.
- 40:30Speaker 5: I'm an open book and I love talking to women.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Are you profiling him in case he does it? What?
- 40:38Speaker 3: See? I was going to But I'm just so busy
- 40:40Speaker 3: right now. It was just about.
- 40:41Speaker 1: It's really interesting and I think this is interesting.
- 40:45Speaker 5: No, guys, I would you do anything?
- 40:47Speaker 4: Has your podcast ever been done to you?
- 40:50Speaker 2: And what's your relationship with your dad?
- 40:52Speaker 5: My relationship with my dad is great. He's a military
- 40:54Speaker 5: general and I call him sergeant.
- 40:56Speaker 3: What's the relationship with your mom? The relationship with your mother?
- 41:00Speaker 5: Myself dives to myself myself.
- 41:04Speaker 3: I can't do my own you lies.
- 41:06Speaker 4: You know why because I'm during my podcast for myself.
- 41:09Speaker 4: They don't know this quick before before the big room.
- 41:12Speaker 3: But here's me.
- 41:13Speaker 4: I know that Simply Safe owns me, and I'm doing
- 41:16Speaker 4: a podcast.
- 41:17Speaker 3: From inside my God, he's your sponsor.
- 41:20Speaker 4: Myself home deep myself.
- 41:23Speaker 1: And wait, so you're you are recording You're recording your
- 41:27Speaker 1: podcast from inside the podcast?
- 41:30Speaker 4: Yes, yes, because I know that the.
- 41:36Speaker 3: I know that.
- 41:36Speaker 5: They wait, tell me who is your boss at Simply Safe?
- 41:40Speaker 5: What's their gender?
- 41:42Speaker 3: Man?
- 41:43Speaker 5: I will follow them, figure them out, and I'll start
- 41:47Speaker 5: plotting what they could do all these recordings.
- 41:51Speaker 3: And the thing about you I just gotta say is
- 41:53Speaker 3: I know you kill people. I just don't know if
- 41:54Speaker 3: it's men or women. No, I don't kill people.
- 41:57Speaker 4: What I'm looking on for we were getting so productive. Okay,
- 42:00Speaker 4: you need to get your cuties to make sure I'm
- 42:02Speaker 4: safe from the walking room behind. You need to find
- 42:05Speaker 4: my boss and we will do this. Chess start playing and.
- 42:08Speaker 3: I'll get to the bottom of Rebecca Flat.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Yes, I've been Rebecca Flat's dentist for a few years now,
- 42:15Speaker 1: and I say your teeth look completely normal.
- 42:18Speaker 3: Normal. You say, as a dentist, are any teeth ever normal?
- 42:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd say a lot of them are. If you
- 42:24Speaker 2: don't have any cavities.
- 42:25Speaker 5: If you no cavity, My name is George. When I
- 42:28Speaker 5: played norm on Cheers?
- 42:31Speaker 3: How is that for you?
- 42:33Speaker 4: So cheers to the bride and groom? You guys, we
- 42:37Speaker 4: met and you met in college. I saw you guys
- 42:39Speaker 4: fall in love and I'm just so happy. Is that
- 42:42Speaker 4: a guy recording a podcast? Is that a girl recording
- 42:44Speaker 4: a podcast?
- 42:45Speaker 3: In a happy wedding? Uh? You're so happy for them?
- 42:48Speaker 2: You would says I'm happy.
- 42:50Speaker 5: My name Sorella, and I recorded happy.
- 42:56Speaker 3: So you were recorded happy? Were you happy or what
- 43:01Speaker 3: was the actual emotion you were feeling? Because it doesn't
- 43:04Speaker 3: sound like you're happy now happy. It doesn't sound like
- 43:08Speaker 3: you're happy at all. Now, where were you? May six,
- 43:12Speaker 3: twenty sixteen, Pharrel, Where were you? We goes? I want
- 43:16Speaker 3: to know where you were.

- 43:31Speaker 4: Yes, we're killing the room. But with my birth.
- 43:37Speaker 3: We did it. So, what's everybody's favorite murder?
- 43:41Speaker 4: I'd have to say John Bana Ramsey.
- 43:43Speaker 5: I'm gonna go with jbr John me too.
- 43:47Speaker 4: We did it, and I think it's just because she's.
- 43:49Speaker 3: So damn cute.
- 43:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I think she's cute.
- 43:52Speaker 5: I've been looking at keep an eye on that brother too.
- 43:54Speaker 3: Yeah, he did it. This has been Artists on Artists
