- 1:19he's been on a show quite a few times.
- 1:21Very interesting guy and yes, he is a Cowboys fan.
- 1:25We are now talking to Co founder of all 22 Fantasy Football, the
- 1:29one and only Ray Cotto. Ray, what's up?
- 1:32Good evening, good to be back. How's everyone doing?
- 1:35We're good man. Obviously you're a fantasy guy.
- 1:38I know you're a cowboy guy. Did you check out the Netflix
- 1:42All American team over there of the Dallas Cowboys?
- 1:45Did you check out all 8 episodes?
- 1:48You know, I haven't yet. And you made a really
- 1:50impassioned pitch in the last segment about it because I'm
- 1:53sort of in the, I hate everything Jerry Jones is doing
- 1:57right now, don't care, sign Micah type of mode.
- 2:00And you made me consider sort of putting that aside and
- 2:03begrudgingly giving in to exactly what Jerry wants, which
- 2:07is to watch his little Netflix special because he cares about
- 2:10that type of stuff more than. I disagree with you.
- 2:13And I think Jerry Jones, he, he does spend his money in weird
- 2:17different areas over the last couple of years.
- 2:19He gives Dak Prescott $60 million.
- 2:21I think Dak Prescott's a good quarterback.
- 2:23Where are you going at at that position?
- 2:25CD Lamb, you got George Pickens for practically nothing.
- 2:28You're going to have to pay him. And I understand that Cowboy
- 2:31fans want Micah Parsons back, but Micah Parsons wants a big
- 2:36contract. And I I still think he's going
- 2:38to get, I still think he's going to pay Michael Parsons.
- 2:40So I know Cowboy fans need to hold up before the next couple
- 2:44of weeks. I think one way or another,
- 2:46they're going to settle just like Darrelle Revis in the New
- 2:48York Jets did at the tail end of the preseason.
- 2:50So I do believe Michael Parsons is going to get the contract.
- 2:54But I'm going to tell you guys this right now and all you
- 2:56Cowboy fans or even football in whatever football fans out
- 3:01there, if you don't like the Cowboys or you like the Cowboys
- 3:06or you're interested in documentaries, this documentary
- 3:09is one of the best documentaries I've ever seen, Cowboys or not.
- 3:13It could be the Pittsburgh Steelers, it could be the New
- 3:15York Jets, it could be the New York Giants.
- 3:17This documentary really shows you why the Cowboys have changed
- 3:23the NFL. They changed the NFL in the 90s.
- 3:26They gave you what you wanted to see when it comes to dynasties
- 3:30and it kind of brought the presentation of why the New
- 3:33England Patriots and what the New England Patriots did after
- 3:36them even more interesting, more fantastic, the way they dominate
- 3:40the way they did. So I if, if you're interested in
- 3:43documentaries and and back ends of understanding why Jerry,
- 3:48Jerry Jones, who was who he was and how he made his millions and
- 3:51how he transformed the Cowboys into a franchise that is the
- 3:55richest franchise in professional sports.
- 3:58Go look at it. The Yankees are the second.
- 4:00The Cowboys are #1 He bought that team for $150 million off
- 4:04an oil rig. That's what he did.
- 4:06He got lucky. He was borrowing 50s tens of
- 4:09millions of dies at 50 million, but 10s of millions of dollars
- 4:13from banks. He was in, in a situation where
- 4:15he was talking about killing himself and then he hit, he hit
- 4:18at large with the oil rig, made $100 million and then borrowed
- 4:22$550,000,000 from a bank and he had to pay $300,000 because of a
- 4:27coin flip. And, and bought one of the
- 4:30biggest, most impressive organizations and programs we
- 4:34have seen over the last, I would say 50 years of professional
- 4:37sports. It's, it's, it's a very
- 4:38interesting story dynamic. And I, if you're, again, if
- 4:43you're not a Cowboy fan, you definitely got to check it out.
- 4:45So I'm telling you, you can hate the Cowboys all you want to hate
- 4:48Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones has changed
- 4:51football. He's made football what it is
- 4:53today and why you're seeing all this money being brought to the
- 4:57forefront in the Super. Think about it, commercials,
- 5:00$510,000,000 for 30 seconds. Why do you think the
- 5:05commercials, the NFL is getting that kind of money for
- 5:08commercials. Jerry Jones.
- 5:09Jerry Jones is behind everything.
- 5:11For all the owners that we have spoken about that couldn't stand
- 5:15Jerry Jones and that we're suing him for $500 million, Jerry
- 5:19Jones is the reason why these owners are billionaires.
- 5:23It's Jerry Jones. He was the one that brought Nike
- 5:26to the forefront. He is the one that brought in
- 5:29Doritos and all those companies. So I know people don't like him.
- 5:32I know people can't stand the Cowboys because they're
- 5:34America's team. But without Jerry Jones in 1989
- 5:39buying the Cowboys, I don't think the NFL would be the NFL
- 5:42today without him. So that's my take on it.
- 5:45And when I got a chance to see that and understand it a little
- 5:48bit more in depth, I was surprised about why the Cowboys
- 5:54are so very important to the NFL now and, and for the future.
- 5:57And, and, and you see that Prescott, why he's making $60
- 6:00million and he's the highest paid quarterback right now in
- 6:02the NFL. Jerry Jones.
- 6:04So anyways, let's get to fantasy because fantasy is the the big
- 6:08story right now. There's a lot of fantasy leagues
- 6:11being put together in the next couple of weeks.
- 6:14Your thoughts on the running back position?
- 6:17Why do you think a a specific running back should be picked
- 6:21first, second or third? I hate chasing stocks.
- 6:25This is what we're doing. But I mean, it has to be Saquon
- 6:28until it's not. I know the whispering and the
- 6:30chatter about he's not going to have as big of a workload and so
- 6:33on and so forth, but it's Saquon until it's not.
- 6:36And that's just the way it is. I mean, if Derek Henry were a
- 6:40couple years younger and had the same type of year you put up
- 6:42last year, I could hear the argument for Derek Henry.
- 6:44But until it's until it's not, It's it's Saquon Barkley as as
- 6:48the clear #1 back number one overall pick, if you want to
- 6:53call it that, for traditional fantasy.
- 6:54He's he's the guy. He's still an electric playmaker
- 6:58in the receiving game as well as the running game.
- 7:01They still have that style of offense that opens things up and
- 7:03makes it easier for running backs with that, you know, sort
- 7:07of zone read Jalen Hurt's ability with his legs to open
- 7:10things up right, You know, right up the gut of the defense, along
- 7:13with those two top weapons on the outside.
- 7:15Still, all the ingredients are still there.
- 7:19So if Saquon's getting 21 touches a game instead of 26, so
- 7:25be it. That doesn't change the
- 7:26projection for me, so. You got him one who's number 2
- 7:28and number 30. Gosh.
- 7:31It's it's still got and I, I hesitate to say this, but it has
- 7:36to be Derrick Henry and I the age scares me because when the
- 7:40Cliff comes, it happens quick. It it happens very quickly.
- 7:44And I mean, it happened with the best of talents and Julio Jones.
- 7:48I know it's a different position we're talking about here, but
- 7:52can in good conscience if you don't take Derrick Henry here
- 7:56and he does what he does. He just looks silly when he's
- 7:58stiff arming defenders into the turf.
- 8:00Still the third level. They still don't want to tackle
- 8:02them. So at the end of the day, same
- 8:04thing with Saquon. All the ingredients are still
- 8:07there for for Derrick Henry to have another monster season.
- 8:10So again, I have him at 2:00 and then three, it's it's a toss up
- 8:18between Gibbs and Bijan, the two young guys.
- 8:20I think the excitement with with Atlanta and that offense may be
- 8:23opening up a bit more under Pennix for a full season.
- 8:26Sort of gives the edge to Bijan Robinson there.
- 8:29But it's really close. I'm a huge fan of Gibbs.
- 8:31I put those two in that same tier.
- 8:34So I like to think of it more as tears instead of just a sort of
- 8:37numerical ranking there. And so to me, I have Bijan and
- 8:40Gibbs in that same tier, elite young running backs just sort of
- 8:44hitting their stride and getting into their prime, what we
- 8:47anticipate to be good off. Now, Ray, I'm I'm a big fantasy
- 8:50guy, especially when it comes to football and the first two
- 8:53rounds, I always go running back, always go running back
- 8:56because there's not enough running bucks backs out there.
- 8:58And usually there are stupid people that will go quarterback
- 9:01in the first round. Some people go after Lamar
- 9:03Jackson or Josh Allen like like the idiots that they are, even
- 9:07though they're great players in there in, in in a PPR league or
- 9:10a quarterback league, you need those kind of guys.
- 9:12But you don't really draft a quarterback usually until the
- 9:16third or fourth round if they're Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen.
- 9:19But that's why I am asking you, where do you go with running
- 9:22backs in the first round? Cuz that's where I go.
- 9:24I give everybody my, my secrets. I go running back in the first
- 9:28round, running back in the second round every single time.
- 9:31And everybody wants to know my madness and my method and why
- 9:33I'm pretty good when it comes to fantasy.
- 9:36It's always running back because there's not enough out there.
- 9:38Maybe you'll get lucky and you'll find one or a second tier
- 9:41running back because the the number one string goes down and
- 9:44this guy shows up. We've seen it with the Browns
- 9:46over the last couple of years. You'll find somebody in like
- 9:49what do they call it? The needle in the rough or
- 9:51whatever needle in a haystack where a guy comes out of nowhere
- 9:55and it becomes a pretty. Needle in the rough.
- 9:57No, you know what I mean dude, I'm I'm dealing with Vertigo
- 10:01tonight. I've been sick all show and I am
- 10:04trailing through this and I I got to give myself a little bit
- 10:07of credit then I'm dealing with it and I'm doing it so fucking
- 10:10well. Excuse my language, but I I
- 10:13needle in a stack, I always look at the running backs as an
- 10:16important first round, second round type of topic.
- 10:19Because you giving me Saquon Barkley.
- 10:21Yeah, I think Saquon Barkley is so very important.
- 10:25But am I going to trust that Saquon Barkley is going to stay
- 10:27healthy this year? We've seen it back-to-back
- 10:29years. Saquon Barkley.
- 10:31I'd be a little scared over there, a little scared going
- 10:33after Saquon Barkley in the first round.
- 10:37I get it, but Saquon's an exception.
- 10:40He's a Penn Stater. So you're not going to get me to
- 10:41move off and then he's just not going to happen.
- 10:44But but I mean, he he is an alien.
- 10:46And and what we saw last year is what we would have seen if he
- 10:49was on any sort of competent offense or in any sort of
- 10:53competent system for the first half decade of his career when
- 10:57he wasn't just being wasted away in that wasteland behind the
- 11:01Giants offensive line in that just the whole roster was in
- 11:04shambles. So again, I think I, I, I
- 11:08usually subscribe to those, to those theories and thought
- 11:12process processes. But at the same time, you have
- 11:16to recognize an exception when there is an exception.
- 11:19And there are very few exceptions in the game.
- 11:22And honestly, the exceptions are Derek Henry and Saquon Barkley.
- 11:25And I'd rather go, you know, bet my house on those types of
- 11:30exceptions then the 58 wide receiver who runs A46 exception
- 11:35who has a lot of production in college.
- 11:38I'll, I'll, I'll, you know, I'll, I'll lay my bed on Saquon
- 11:40and Derrick Henry and the guys with those traits who maybe are
- 11:43just doing it a bit longer than we're used to nowadays than
- 11:46those types of, you know, the other.
- 11:47Kids. I like the kid from Boise State.
- 11:49I don't know. It's 146.
- 11:53So he's he's not an exception. He's he's damn kid you.
- 11:56Just want. To Maurice Jones, I'm.
- 11:59Just I'm just saying I'm going out if you're looking at if
- 12:03you're trying to reach, I'm going after a rookie where you
- 12:05can get him in the third or fourth round and he could be a
- 12:07star this year. I I love him.
- 12:09I love him coming out of the draft and and and being one of
- 12:13the more elusive and two way kind of backs that we've seen
- 12:18come out of draft. He reminds me of Bichon
- 12:19Robinson. I think a better version of
- 12:21Bichon Robinson. That's what I think well.
- 12:23Yeah, he had the two, I think the highest athletic grade, him
- 12:25and Bichon since Adrian Peterson.
- 12:27So it's crazy. So I want to shift from the
- 12:29running back position to the tight end.
- 12:30Brock Bowers and Trey McBride, the effects of the that last
- 12:33year had for them. I was big.
- 12:34Trey McBride, like I got him a year earlier in 23, like before
- 12:37he like ertz got hurt and it really helped me.
- 12:39I dropped him a lot last year too in the Bowers insane year
- 12:42getting second round grades. Like probably the first time
- 12:44we've seen that since Gronk and Jimmy Graham.
- 12:46Like do you buy into that? Was that a strategy you would go
- 12:48for? I like to get typically like the
- 12:54third best tight end or the 4th best tight end.
- 12:58I don't like to be the first guy to take a tight end if we're
- 13:01talking just a traditional redraft single season type of of
- 13:05platform because you can typically get similar production
- 13:091/2 round a full round later than whoever chases chases the
- 13:13Top Stock there. But overall the tight end
- 13:16position is deeper than it's been in recent years.
- 13:20It used to. It still does typically take
- 13:22tight ends until their age 26 season, age 27 season before
- 13:27they really hit their stride. You think of guys like David and
- 13:30Joku, for example, who people had written off, but in reality,
- 13:33he entered the NFL at age 20 and by the, you know, it just it
- 13:36felt like he was in the league for a long time.
- 13:37But really he hit his prime when normal players at their prime at
- 13:41age 25 and became a big time factor.
- 13:43So I don't like to be the first. I know I love Brock Bowers as
- 13:48much as the next guy, but if I could take George Kittle around
- 13:52later in that offense in San Francisco, where I think it's
- 13:55going to be a more concentrated show with Kittle and Ricky
- 13:59Pearsall at wide receiver who people aren't talking about
- 14:02enough there, I'll happily take the value.
- 14:05There's nothing to talk about. San Francisco is going to fall
- 14:08flat on their face. They're not being a team, but
- 14:11those are two really productive players that are going to be
- 14:14the. Year where I get a chance to go
- 14:17out there in front of everybody, including Owen the Tick, and say
- 14:21I told you so. I have been telling people over
- 14:24and over and over and over again that San Francisco is going to
- 14:27fall flat on their face. This is the year, ladies and
- 14:30gentlemen, no more Debo Samuel. He's over there in Washington.
- 14:33They're not getting their star quad receiver until the 8th week
- 14:38or 7th week of the NFL season, and you're going to bet on
- 14:42George Kittle and Ricky Piersall?
- 14:43Give me a break. Now you're talking, you're
- 14:48talking falling Ray, he's talking falling on their face.
- 14:51Those dudes are still going to get you points or fantasy, and I
- 14:53think that's what we're talking. About that's ready for Kyle
- 14:55that's. Fine, they kind of fell on their
- 14:57face last year. They were.
- 14:58They were. That's what I'm saying.
- 14:59Last year, when was the last time you seen San Francisco and
- 15:02not make the playoffs back-to-back years?
- 15:04Well, ladies and gentlemen, this will be 1 of very first time
- 15:09since the 90's, the the late 90s when the team started falling
- 15:13flat on their face when they were really bad, when no more
- 15:16Jerry Rice, no Steve Young, no Joe Montana.
- 15:18And they were trying to find their way out and they got
- 15:20Terrell Owens. Oh, and by the way, they traded
- 15:22him too. So, yeah, that's when the 49ers
- 15:25just really were not a very good franchise.
- 15:28So I, I, I know what you're saying, Jabba, I understand what
- 15:31you're saying. They're going to get your
- 15:32points. I mean, they're there is
- 15:34Christian McCaffrey over there too.
- 15:36You forgot about him. He is a pretty explosive running
- 15:39back as well. He'll definitely be in the top
- 15:41four, top five guys when it comes to list of guys that
- 15:44you're going to want to draft. But nevertheless, if you're
- 15:47going to bet that he is going to be that all world type of
- 15:50running back with this offensive line that really stands to two
- 15:54guys, their guard and their tackle.
- 15:58Yeah, I I mean, this team is an absolute joke and they brought
- 16:02back Bambi. Future 49ers interim head coach.
- 16:11That's what he's hoping for. I.
- 16:12I'm losing my mind tonight, ladies and gentlemen.
- 16:15I have to laugh because our guy Fish over here who loves Kyle
- 16:20Shanahan and then we have a guy named Owen that's been on the
- 16:24show quite a few times that loves the San Francisco 49ers
- 16:27and was complaining and bitching and moaning about Brock Purdy
- 16:31getting his contract. Are now singing in the the rain
- 16:34because there's not going to be much rain.
- 16:36There's just going to be a lot of snow and they going to have
- 16:38to be dugout because Kyle Shanahan is going to be looking
- 16:41for a new job and it might be somewhere else at the end of the
- 16:45season. Come on, Kyle Shanahan, right?
- 16:47You could tell him he's got influence all over the league
- 16:50with the offense that he created that half the he hasn't won
- 16:52nothing. He stinks.
- 16:54He'll be unemployed for about 10 minutes.
- 16:57That's fine. That's fine.
- 16:59Let him go somewhere else and lose somewhere else.
- 17:01Let him go to Atlanta where he was the offensive coin and it
- 17:04cost them a Super Bowl. Great job, Atlanta, great job.
- 17:08Good. Franchise who trades 3 first
- 17:10round picks for Trey Lance would normally be in the abyss for a
- 17:14decade and he just kept that ship afloat as best as he
- 17:18possibly could. I think it's one of those fields
- 17:22he. Did find Brock Purdy in seventh
- 17:24round. He he built Brock Purdy up after
- 17:26finding him in the seventh round.
- 17:28You take him away from Brock Purdy, and Brock Purdy may end
- 17:30up being Yeah, inserts McCown, brother.
- 17:34I just, I just gave you the reason why Kyle Shanahan should
- 17:37be looking for a new job. What?
- 17:39What do people think I'm like, blind or I don't see what I'm
- 17:42seeing. I've been telling you guys this
- 17:44for a while. The guy's not good.
- 17:47Yeah. He's taking a team to a Super
- 17:48Bowl. They had talent there before he
- 17:51was even there. And now all of a sudden, you
- 17:53know, Kyle Shanahan, she's great offensive mind.
- 17:56He's never won anything. The guy's never won.
- 17:59Even as an assistant coach, even as an offensive coordinator,
- 18:03he's never won. So why is everybody?
- 18:05He's not Mike Shanahan, he's not his dad.
- 18:08Mike Shanahan would do Super Bowls.
- 18:10This guy won nothing. Oh, this guy's the mastermind.
- 18:13Sean McVeigh. Look at O'Connell.
- 18:15Look at McBride. The guy stinks.
- 18:20The guy, he's never going to win anything.
- 18:22He's a loser. Here it is Owen Looser.
- 18:27That's I'm sorry, John, I had just had to do that.
- 18:29I had to add that to the the storytelling here.
- 18:32Yeah, no, you're you're good. I mean, if we were talking about
- 18:35a whole team factor, I would I would agree with you.
- 18:37But they're still going to get you some points on the old, old
- 18:40fantasy roster. So I, I just want to get here
- 18:46just so I can hear Errol this lose it.
- 18:48I I just want to ask your thoughts on Errol's favorite
- 18:51player. And I think his last name is
- 18:55Hunter. Self-proclaimed, called him the
- 19:00The. Unicorn the Gremlin likes.
- 19:03To call him something else, the. Gremlin the Gremlin, Travis the
- 19:07Gremlin Hunter. If you have any way to hack the
- 19:10arrows all 20. 2 on his roster up.
- 19:13There it is, ladies and. Gentlemen, no AI should be
- 19:15allowed to do. That he is definitely one ugly
- 19:19SO. Rental controls on AR.
- 19:20He is an. Ugly man.
- 19:22He is really, really ugly. And by the way, I just want to
- 19:25give a shout out to Deion Sanders.
- 19:26He was great in that documentary, too.
- 19:28I got to give him some credit. I didn't like Deion Sanders.
- 19:31I take back a lot of things about Deion Sanders.
- 19:34I give him a little bit more credit as a player because of
- 19:37his personality as a player. And I remember him as a player,
- 19:40but I didn't realize how how much pizzazz he had when he
- 19:44played on a football field. And I got a chance to get to
- 19:47know him a little bit better watching the documentary.
- 19:49So I'll take back some of the things I said about him.
- 19:52Still, his son stinks. And Travis Hunter is one of the
- 19:54most overrated players in NFL history to come out of the
- 19:57draft. So eat it.
- 19:59What's here at Ray, what is like Jabba said, where do you see
- 20:02Travis Hunter? Or may I say.
- 20:05The gremlin to be this year. I look forward to 25 years from
- 20:10now when the documentary about Travis Hunter comes out.
- 20:13You also saying something similar about, you know, gaining
- 20:15some more respect for him as a player, as a two way player, all
- 20:19pro on both sides of the ball because he is that type of
- 20:22talent, I do think. Are you in drugs at least at
- 20:26least early on? What are you probably going to
- 20:28spend more of a focus on? The I.
- 20:29Mean are you, are you dealing with vertical like I am?
- 20:32Because I mean, they're, they're, you might be seeing two
- 20:35or three. I I.
- 20:36Mean he he does play 2 positions on the field so it feels that
- 20:39way that's. Fine.
- 20:40That's fine. Everything he could do for a
- 20:42team. Well, the the team and the
- 20:43organization's making a big mistake.
- 20:45You should not be putting as a wide receiver.
- 20:47You should be putting him as a corner.
- 20:48And because they're doing that, it's going to throw him off.
- 20:51It's going to put him in a position to fail as far as I'm
- 20:53concerned. The wide receiver to watch on
- 20:55that team. His name ends with AT and that
- 20:58is Thomas, Brian Thomas, who I believe is the best young wide
- 21:05receiver right now in the NFL. He is going to explode off the
- 21:09paper this year. Ladies and gentlemen, if you're
- 21:11a buyer, don't be a seller on this guy.
- 21:14And I want to know your opinion right now.
- 21:16I think he's Justin Jefferson esque.
- 21:19He might even be better than Justin Jefferson.
- 21:21I think this guy is in the next two years is going to be known
- 21:24as the number one wide receiver in the NFL.
- 21:28Brian Thomas. Where do you draft him?
- 21:29Is he a first round pick and where would you draft him?
- 21:33Late 1st, high second. I think he's a little bit.
- 21:36He's a different type of receiver.
- 21:38He's a bit more of honestly sort of like the Terrell Owens mode
- 21:42as far as you know, sort of the big plays he provides, but he's
- 21:46not necessarily the and I know in his prime TO was this guy,
- 21:50but Thomas isn't quite there yet, although he has the the
- 21:53build and sort of physical makeup to eventually get there.
- 21:56But he's not necessarily the guy you pepper with targets quick
- 22:00over the middle type. That's not really him right now.
- 22:02He's still a take off the top off the defense type of guy,
- 22:05makes some big plays yards after the catch, but not necessarily,
- 22:09you know, 8 catch on 10 targets type of guy that sort of wears
- 22:13out the defense. So in that sense, some of the
- 22:15guys like a Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase, some of the other
- 22:19names at the top of that list. We'll see what the Lions offense
- 22:23looks like with Amin, Rossi and Brown now that they lost our
- 22:26offensive coordinator Ben Johnson over to the Bears.
- 22:28But that's another name where you could just you can count on
- 22:33on him having a ton of targets during the game and being able
- 22:36to sort of always keep you in it if he's on your roster and on
- 22:39your team. So Brian Thomas junior may be
- 22:43wide receiver 5 or 6 right now, but in any given week and finish
- 22:47as wide receiver one because he catches 260 plus yard
- 22:50touchdowns. That's the type of player he is.
- 22:52And I think over time he becomes at a top.
- 22:56He's almost there already, but a top three player type of.
- 22:59Are you a specialist? You're the Co founder of all 22.
- 23:02We love you. OK, but are you blind?
- 23:05What's going on here? What's going?
- 23:06On you got to give him time. You got to give him.
- 23:08Time you got to give Jones, he. Got to give Kyle Shanahan he.
- 23:11Had Mac Kyle. He's had enough time.
- 23:14He's had enough time over there in San Francisco.
- 23:16I don't want to see Kyle Shanahan anymore.
- 23:18Are you lost? I got Vertigo right now.
- 23:20I'm throwing up. I've thrown up twice on this
- 23:23show, OK, twice. And I they think you're
- 23:26absolutely blind about this guy. Matt Jones was throwing this guy
- 23:29the ball last year. He had over 10 touchdowns and
- 23:321200 yards. And you're going to tell me,
- 23:34well, he needs time to develop. What more does he need to
- 23:37develop now? Yeah, the gremlin to that team.
- 23:39Get out of here. What's going on with you, man?
- 23:41We need time to be to raise his floor in a given week from wide
- 23:45receiver 16 to wide receiver. Floor.
- 23:50Because his ceiling is already possible Wide receiver 1.
- 23:53He just got to reduce the delta between the floor and the field
- 23:57with the feeling. And you mentioned Matt Jones.
- 24:01I think forgetting about Matt Jones and Trevor Lawrence, I
- 24:03think the real key here is Liam Cohen and his offense because we
- 24:06saw what he did with the wide receivers in Tampa Bay with,
- 24:09with Mike, with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
- 24:11So I know, I know you, I know you want to just microwave this
- 24:14thing to success. But if it does, it's going to be
- 24:17Liam Cohen and the offense that he brings over there in
- 24:20Jacksonville. Because I think I think the
- 24:22biggest beneficiary is Trevor Lawrence.
- 24:23Trevor Lawrence is my sleep rack quarterback.
- 24:25A lot of people are bringing them off.
- 24:26Way too soon out now you're losing it, now you're.
- 24:29All the way down. I love this.
- 24:31Wow, all over your head. Where over your head are you?
- 24:33Are you really now talking about Trevor Lawrence, the the
- 24:37overrated quarterback that was the number one pick of the
- 24:39draft? I don't know.
- 24:41He's been overrated. He's been.
- 24:42Overrated. The guy stinks.
- 24:45He's a hippie. That's what he is.
- 24:48He should. Smoke weed and enjoy himself on
- 24:50the sidelines. The guy is so overrated.
- 24:53Liam Cohen is going to make magic.
- 24:55Happen. Is this the same Liam Cohen that
- 24:58didn't want the job? Is this the same Liam Cohen that
- 25:00actually went home to Tampa and said it?
- 25:02He doesn't want the job And then all of a sudden out of nowhere,
- 25:05they fire the GM and they fire him practically every single
- 25:09executive over there to give him the reins.
- 25:11Liam Cohen is not going to last more than two years over there.
- 25:13No. No coach ever.
- 25:15Last there more Dan Peterson there.
- 25:17That guy won a Super Bowl with the Eagles.
- 25:20Yes, he won a Super Bowl with the Eagles, and it couldn't work
- 25:23over there. So stop this.
- 25:25You're going to actually sell me Trevor Lawrence, and then you're
- 25:27going to tell me that the Gremlin is going to be a great
- 25:30player in 25 years. They're going to make a
- 25:31documentary of this idiot. The guy's an idiot.
- 25:34He's a jacket. They got a documentary with him
- 25:36right now. They have a documentary with him
- 25:38already in Colorado. You're right.
- 25:40The Gremlin's three, it's coming out next year.
- 25:42Are you kidding me? He is a horrible, horrible,
- 25:46horrible player and I I promise you, mark my words, ladies and
- 25:48gentlemen, I'm not going to take this back in six years.
- 25:51The guy is going to be one of the worst at his position.
- 25:53It doesn't matter if he's a wide receiver.
- 25:55It doesn't matter if he's a corner.
- 25:57What a joke. And I'm going to tell you this
- 25:58right now. I saw it.
- 26:00I'm going to pull it up and I'm going to send it to you either
- 26:02there was a there was a there was AI think a take a 10 minute
- 26:06take that I saw it today and most overrated draft picks of
- 26:09all time. Guess who they had in the top
- 26:11five. Yes, the gremlin, and I'm going
- 26:14to tell you this right now. I'm going to.
- 26:16I love it. I'm going to love it when I told
- 26:18you or I'll tell you guys I told you so.
- 26:20He stinks. That's all.
- 26:22I'm going. To say right, for context, he
- 26:23also has a bet with Quinton Coppols where Quinton Coppols
- 26:26was saying I think he was going to get 3 interceptions or
- 26:28something and Errol doesn't think he's going to get Eddie.
- 26:30No, he's not going to have one this year.
- 26:32He's not going to have one this year.
- 26:34Probably going to have one if he plays.
- 26:36Want to bet? On defense, you want to bet how
- 26:38much you want. To bet now the real quick you
- 26:39want to be against you're a bet. Come on, come on, you're a
- 26:41betting man. What's the bet?
- 26:42What's the bet with Quinton Coppols?
- 26:44Quinton Coppols wouldn't even dare to bet me on this one.
- 26:47Now I I'm telling you that right now, Especially if he's going to
- 26:49be a wide receiver 90% of the time.
- 26:52Oh, good luck. Quentin did say he prefers him
- 26:54to play corner over. Absolutely.
- 26:57And I I think they're making a big mistake.
- 26:58Didn't he say 6070306040 wasn't? It Yeah, he said 7030. 7030 and
- 27:04he said 7030 as a corner. I I think they're, they're
- 27:07choosing the wrong position for him to play as the wide receiver
- 27:11more than the corner. But I'm going to tell you right
- 27:13now, he's not going to have one interception this year.
- 27:15And I think he's one of the most overrated, highly touted players
- 27:19I've ever heard come out of the draft in, I would say the last
- 27:2320 years. He is not good.
- 27:24And I think you guys need to stop it.
- 27:26He's not Deion Sanders. He's not anywhere close to the
- 27:29talent Deion Sanders was. And Deion coming out and saying,
- 27:32well, he's, he's better than I was.
- 27:34Deion, stop selling me something.
- 27:35You're you're selling me dry ice.
- 27:37That's what you're selling me. I'd rather chew on dry ice than
- 27:40actually believe that the Gremlins going to be a good
- 27:42player in the NFL. That's it, That's it.
- 27:45No more talking about Travis Hunter.
- 27:47Where does he, like actually fit in?
- 27:49Is he? So he's listed as a receiver.
- 27:53He's listed as a receiver. I think he's going to end up we
- 27:56talk and I agree. I think he's he's primarily his
- 27:58ceiling is higher as a corner and that type of corner is more
- 28:01rare to find with his sort of ability and ball skills.
- 28:04His best position to me is corner, but he's still a top
- 28:07flight wide receiver prospect if he focuses on it.
- 28:10I think what what's happening now is he's probably going to be
- 28:13more 6535 wide receiver to start.
- 28:15He's going to get comfortable with the system and the offense
- 28:18and then sort of integrate slowly into the defense as time
- 28:21goes on. That seems to be the plan.
- 28:24I probably would have primarily had him on defense 1st and work
- 28:27him into the offense to start, but Liam Cohen is a mastermind.
- 28:31He clearly had great negotiation tactics that Errol's just not
- 28:35giving him much respect. For how many times?
- 28:37Supposed to be Jacksonville jab clearly has some savvy to him
- 28:40and some forethought. And so I'm going to I'll trust
- 28:42Liam Cohen until he gives me a reason not to on this.
- 28:46But it seems more like 6535 offense to start as he phases in
- 28:50more with the defensive as he shows he can handle the load on
- 28:53both sides of the ball and they kind of take it from there.
- 28:57I'm curious to see how it it's going to shake out because to
- 28:59me, no matter how good you are, to me, it really is a really
- 29:02tall task to expect someone to play significant roles on both
- 29:07sides of the ball in today's NFL.
- 29:09It's just that's so taxing on the body.
- 29:12The season's already long enough as it is.
- 29:15It's a different ball game than doing that.
- 29:16So why? So why wouldn't he get you
- 29:17double points then if he if he gets a pick 6:00 on the other
- 29:20side and then get you points for the defense if you have their
- 29:23defense Sounds sounds good to me.
- 29:25Well, in all 22 we have depth charts, so you know if you have
- 29:28Travis Hunter on your team and. You play him.
- 29:30Are you able to play him at both of you draft him?
- 29:33I actually draft. So right now he's listed as just
- 29:35a wide receiver based on what they've discussed so far as the
- 29:38plans. But you know, that could always
- 29:40be updated as as he does play more defense and then, you know,
- 29:44we'll have something for that on the platform.
- 29:45I did draft him in some of my leagues and I'm anticipating an
- 29:49eventual sort of two for one there.
- 29:51Don't worry. Right, right.
- 29:52You could draft him in our all 22 league and give Arrow a bunch
- 29:55of trade. Here here's that I know.
- 29:56I know he won't snipe me. For him, here's the words that I
- 29:59caught up on on anything, all the things that he just said
- 30:02shake and load. That's about it.
- 30:05And he has this love fest for Cohen, so I don't know what he's
- 30:08thinking in his head right now, but they're there Might be
- 30:10something coming. Where, where is he?
- 30:13Oh, that's right. He's in Jacksonville, right?
- 30:14Maybe we should ship you over there.
- 30:16Ray is right, right? Ray is right about what the he
- 30:18is a genius for being the one that finally forced the Jaguars
- 30:20to fire Trent Bulky, who had the best run of mediocrity since the
- 30:23Jason Garrett era. I never said bulky was good, OK.
- 30:26I never said that bulky was good.
- 30:28And I think Jacksonville is one of the worst organizations in
- 30:31the NFL in the NFL at with one of the more popular owners out
- 30:36of all the NFL owners, because he speaks very highly.
- 30:39His sons, you know, owns a wrestling organization.
- 30:42I mean, he's only what you want as an owner.
- 30:45He loves to dip his hands and everything.
- 30:47That's what you like from an owner.
- 30:48But when you you have a guy that didn't want the job and then all
- 30:51of a sudden jumps and takes the job at the last minute and then
- 30:54they move up and give up a significant amount to get the
- 30:56gremlin and and expect this guy to be a star wide receiver on
- 31:01the other side of Brian Thomas, where you have a a prolific
- 31:04talent of that magnitude. Good luck.
- 31:07It is an absolute joke. And by the way, Trevor Lawrence
- 31:09sucks. I got to add that one too.
- 31:11So there you go. I got to say, Earl didn't take a
- 31:14lot to go out on a limb against the Jaguars.
- 31:17Well, you know what it's. A real man to stand to the
- 31:19Jaguars and and anticipate better days ahead.
- 31:22No, I, you know with with all the things I'm dealing with
- 31:26tonight, including Vertigo, I am not going to see 2 when I see
- 31:30that idiot on the football field.
- 31:32By the way, we are talking to Co founder of all 22 fantasy
- 31:35football, Ricotto Ray. Obviously the New York Jets have
- 31:40an interesting season. I think Aaron Glenn is a good
- 31:43coach. I like what he's saying.
- 31:44I like the fact that he's going out there and he's holding his
- 31:47players accountable. Justin Fields has a chance to
- 31:50prove himself this year. I know that I think it was you
- 31:53that really like Justin Fields when he came out of the draft.
- 31:56He never really got a. Chance to tell me.
- 31:58Then it was your partner. It was your partner it.
- 32:00Was might have been Chris. Yeah, it was Chris, but.
- 32:02One of one of you guys really like Justin Fields.
- 32:04I did. Eberfluse was not the guy to
- 32:07coach him up. I I didn't like the fact what
- 32:09they did over there in Pittsburgh.
- 32:10Mike Tomlin is definitely not a a coach for when it comes to a
- 32:13quarterback. And now he's with The Jets.
- 32:16Aaron Glenn, one of the reasons why he took the job is he told
- 32:19The Jets, go get Justin Fields. Your thoughts to Justin Fields
- 32:23this year if he gets the chance to flourish with Garrett Wilson
- 32:26and maybe Olave. I mean, there's stories coming
- 32:28out that they're going to, they're going to go after Olave
- 32:30before the season starts. Maybe they get a LA Van Garrett
- 32:33Wilson 22 wide receivers he played with with Ohio State.
- 32:37The the question with Justin Fields is really how far do you
- 32:40want to go? Because if you're talking, if
- 32:43you're trying to be a Super Bowl contender with Justin Fields as
- 32:47your quarterback, it's just not going to happen.
- 32:49Now, can you build enough of an offense around him or enough of
- 32:54a team around him and using his legs, you can manufacture enough
- 32:57offense to win 9 or 10 games in the regular season, make the
- 33:01wild card round, maybe win a playoff game, Sure.
- 33:04I think that's the high watermark for Justin Fields
- 33:07because to me, there are simply inherent flaws, inherent fatal
- 33:11flaws in his game when it comes to processing speed within the
- 33:15pocket that your legs can't always get you out of.
- 33:19And that's a part of his game that never developed.
- 33:21It didn't develop in college. It never had to develop in
- 33:24college because of what he was surrounded by.
- 33:27You could sit back in the pocket for four plus seconds and wait
- 33:31for your primary read to come open, not even worry about
- 33:33processing the entire field at that point, and still put up 40
- 33:37something points a game. And so that part of his game has
- 33:40never developed. And a lot of that really is
- 33:42innate. And Fields is just not that
- 33:44innate processor. He holds on to the ball a long
- 33:47time and then we'll try to make things happen with his legs.
- 33:50And that can't always bail you out of trouble.
- 33:52So can The Jets be a an above 500 team, a wild card type of
- 33:58contender given that the offensive line is better
- 34:01defense, you know, is going to be solid.
- 34:03They had he does have a rapport with Garrett Wilson.
- 34:05Maybe Mason Taylor as a young tight end kind of gives them a
- 34:07new dimension they haven't had before.
- 34:09Braylon Allen's getting a ton of buzz.
- 34:11We'll see about that, sure, but as long as we're realistic about
- 34:16the expectations and we're not sitting here bad mouthing him.
- 34:19At the playoff loss, all right, I don't want.
- 34:21To hear you, I don't want to hear you raging and grieving,
- 34:24I'm. Getting angry with you tonight.
- 34:25You don't want. To be you're really pissed.
- 34:28How to help you? I you're helping me.
- 34:30You're telling me that it can't work with Justin Fields, but it
- 34:33worked with Jalen Hurts over there in Philadelphia.
- 34:35Are you going to tell me that they're not the same player?
- 34:37They're practically the same frigging player.
- 34:39So to sit here and say, well, it's not going to work.
- 34:42What is Philadelphia built on? Great defense.
- 34:44What is Philadelphia built on? Great running back.
- 34:47That's what The Jets have. And what is Philadelphia known
- 34:50for? Well, not for great coaching,
- 34:51that's for damn sure. And and The Jets actually have a
- 34:54decent coach. They they have practically a
- 34:56quarterback that can do the same thing that Jalen Hurts could do.
- 34:59And Jalen Hurts, and I'm not saying that Justin Fields is
- 35:02Jalen Hurts, but they're very similar in their games to sit
- 35:06here and say they can't win with him or they can't go to a Super
- 35:09Bowl. I'm not saying that they will.
- 35:11And I don't think they're going to the Super Bowl this year, but
- 35:13to come out here as a cowboy fan and tell me that the gremlin is
- 35:17going to have a documentary in 25 years.
- 35:19And you're, we're going to, they're going to build, you
- 35:21know, a statue of them over there in Jacksonville.
- 35:23I, I don't know. Do you eat paint chips or
- 35:25something? I, I, I don't know what's going
- 35:27on with you tonight. I, I'm a little lost here.
- 35:30I, I, I love you, man. I love what you do.
- 35:32I love everything that you do on social media.
- 35:35I follow you. I laugh at some of the things
- 35:37you post. And I love what you're doing
- 35:40right now for all 22. But if you're going to come out
- 35:42here tonight and tell me that I am going to appreciate what the
- 35:46gremlin is 25 years, you're wrong.
- 35:49And when you're going to come out here and tell me, hey, you
- 35:52know what Trevor Lawrence is, is my guy, He's going to be a guy
- 35:55that you're going to definitely go draft in your fantasy draft
- 35:58now, man, you're smoking some ganja.
- 36:00You're you're you're drinking. You're you're sniffing some
- 36:04lines, whatever the hell you're doing.
- 36:05Enjoy. You all lost my friend.
- 36:09I love. When's the last time you had
- 36:10your heart broken? When's the When's the last time
- 36:12you had your heart broken? Oh my God, I don't know.
- 36:14You're breaking my heart right now.
- 36:16So I guess within the last five minutes.
- 36:19I'm trying to leave you from that heartbreak feeling and it
- 36:21and you're just I can't. It looks like I just have to let
- 36:24you go. You're just going to have to,
- 36:25you know, what are, what are. We on the Titanic or something
- 36:29just. Let me go.
- 36:30You're getting you're getting your hopes up about The Jets
- 36:32again and you're doing it with Justin feels like a.
- 36:35Double fall. It's like.
- 36:35Two strikes and we haven't even taken a match.
- 36:37First of. All buddy, I I could give a crap
- 36:40about what anybody thinks about the New York Jets.
- 36:42I already know The Jets are going to fall flat on their
- 36:44face. OK, They always do.
- 36:46But as far as I'm concerned, so are your Cowboys.
- 36:50OK. So of course, we're going to sit
- 36:51here and we're going to talk about, look at the Dutts.
- 36:54I I think Dak Prescott's a good quarterback.
- 36:57I think the organization has done well in, you know, not
- 37:01well, unwell giving him weapons. But now finally made a good move
- 37:05to bring in George Pickens. But they're not going to be able
- 37:07to pay him. And now they're going to have to
- 37:09overpay Michael Parsons to keep him.
- 37:11So your organization is is falling flat.
- 37:14On their face, Don't worry, they sealed Jake Ferguson.
- 37:16But again, what? Who are they going?
- 37:17To blame it on, there you go. Who are they going to blame it
- 37:19on? Oh, Jerry Jones, the guy that
- 37:21has given your organization opportunity after opportunity to
- 37:25make money and put that organization right on the
- 37:28platform to be America's team. And now all of a sudden you hate
- 37:32him. You don't want to watch his
- 37:33documentary. Shame on you, buddy.
- 37:35Shame on you. I never thought I would have
- 37:37seen this day. Listen, I stick up for Dak
- 37:39Prescott all the time. I am a Dak Prescott supporter.
- 37:44I, I, there are so many Cowboy fans that don't understand how
- 37:47good they have it. And when he is gone, he's way
- 37:50better than Tony Romo. If you look at what Troy Aikman
- 37:53has done and yes, he's not Troy Aikman because Troy Aikman had
- 37:55Emmett Smith and Michael Irvin and and, and a great offensive
- 37:59line. But if you consider to look at
- 38:01both those guys numbers, they're very similar and but a guy that
- 38:06can actually move outside of the pocket and make throws on the
- 38:08run, something that Troy couldn't do.
- 38:10I, I, I just think the cowboy fans don't realize how good they
- 38:14have it as well as giant fans didn't realize how good they had
- 38:17of it until Eli Manning was gone and gone for the count and going
- 38:22Omaha, Omaha on that stupid ESPN take.
- 38:25So I, I just, I'm just speaking the truth here.
- 38:28You guys have an opportunity to build and and win a championship
- 38:32with Dak Prescott will never do that until you give them the
- 38:35weapons that he needs. The problem with that is that we
- 38:39give out too many bad contracts like Ezekiel Alley, which
- 38:41everyone saw was going to be a train wreck from a mile away,
- 38:44that prevent us from making the type of deals and free agency
- 38:48that would build a team good enough to actually contend truly
- 38:52for a Super Bowl. And we rely on the select few
- 38:54that we do have. Guys like that Prescott, guys
- 38:57like Michael Parsons while he was on his rookie contract, guys
- 38:59like CD Lamb to make up for those holes elsewhere on the
- 39:03roster. And come playoff time, you can't
- 39:06do that for four or five weeks straight, especially when you
- 39:09don't have a coaching advantage and you are sort of dealing with
- 39:13some. I mean, Mike McCarthy is a is a
- 39:15coach from the aughts. His type of system just doesn't
- 39:18work anymore. No one else would have hired
- 39:20that that that guy to run their offense, to run their team.
- 39:22But of course Jerry Jones did because that's what Jerry does.
- 39:26He lives in the past, just like with this Netflix special, but I
- 39:30know you're going to jump in now because you are now Jerry
- 39:31Jones's biggest fan, which is which is just lovely to see.
- 39:35Did you? Say that McCarthy would not work
- 39:37anywhere else when it comes to offenses.
- 39:40If you look at the Cowboys in their record and their offense
- 39:43over the last couple of years, it's been one of the best in
- 39:45football. What are you talking about?
- 39:47If you watch closely the offense of success, the success of the
- 39:51offense was either through 2 minute drills or no huddle when
- 39:55Dak was the one making the calls at the line and not Mike
- 39:58McCarthy's play calls. Go back and watch, I promise
- 40:02you'll notice the. Same.
- 40:02And that picture with paternal. I, I, I, I was actually hiding
- 40:06behind you too. I, I know Fish used that magical
- 40:10cartoon in the background to Take Me Out of it.
- 40:13If you really look deeply, I'm behind paternal and I'm like
- 40:16waving. So I was actually in that
- 40:19picture. I was taken out of that picture.
- 40:20But anyways, I I'm lost here tonight.
- 40:23I want to tell you that I have lost my will as a jet fan.
- 40:27I've lost my will to even listen to this All 22 Fantasy Go guru
- 40:32over here, but I'm going to give you a little bit of credit here.
- 40:35When I look at what you have done for All 22 and what you and
- 40:39your partner and your organization has done, it's
- 40:42given fans a hope that now when you look at football, you're not
- 40:46just looking at the offensive side, you're looking also at the
- 40:50defensive side and building depth throughout the season to
- 40:54play all 22. That I think is great.
- 40:56The only problem here is when we played all 22, you had to draft
- 41:015500 rounds of something. It took like 5 hours to draft
- 41:05your team that you need to clean up, buddy.
- 41:07That's what you need to clean up.
- 41:09But everything else sensational. So I got to give you a little
- 41:11bit of credit for that. Oh yeah, I appreciate that.
- 41:14If I knew you were rushing to run back and watch Jerry Jones's
- 41:17documentary. I'm done.
- 41:18I watched the whole thing. I watched the whole thing.
- 41:20It it was great. In two days, I got a chance to
- 41:23experience the greatness of Jerry Jones and your Dallas
- 41:26Cowboys of the 90s. And it's Smith's greatness.
- 41:29Michael Irvin loving the Kraken and sniffing the cocaine.
- 41:32I'm loving it. I I mean, I would have hung out
- 41:35with Michael Irvin in those days too.
- 41:37I and all the strippers he was getting, forget about it.
- 41:40I mean, me and Michael Irvin would have been best buddies so.
- 41:43I'm not a Michael Irvin story, but that's that's offline, I
- 41:45can't say. That well, please don't do it I
- 41:47I don't want to get you in trouble and I I definitely want
- 41:49to get Michael Irvin on the show so if you're going to scare
- 41:51Michael and scare Michael Irvin away I don't want to hear it so.
- 41:54He was great. He was great.
- 41:55He was great. Yeah.
- 41:56Well, we'll, we'll talk offline. Yeah.
- 41:58That would be good. That would be really, really
- 41:59good. But I I do appreciate everything
- 42:02that you're doing and where's your partner?
- 42:04What, what's going on with him? Why is he never showing up when
- 42:07it comes to this show? Is there something about this
- 42:10show that he doesn't like? I mean.
- 42:11Seriously, I think you, you this, you have this new found
- 42:14love for Jerry Jones. He probably would have made time
- 42:17to come on. I think he's he's out travelling
- 42:19right now, coming back from the New York City area.
- 42:21So he's probably in his car right now going to listen to
- 42:25this when he gets back, I'm sure.
- 42:27But I'll skewer him for you. I'll, I'll, you know, I'll give
- 42:30him a hard time and, and make sure that, you know, put some
- 42:32pressure on him so you can invite him back and you can have
- 42:34him on the shows, right? And he's trying to hack the
- 42:37system so Travis Hunter ends up on his all 22 team.
- 42:40Are you kidding me? I am.
- 42:42I would never draft Travis Hunter even if he was the last
- 42:45guy on the list of guys to draft.
- 42:47You will never see Errol Marx ever, ever in the next 10 years,
- 42:52if he's even in the NFL, because I say four years, he will be out
- 42:55of the NFL. I will never repeat myself.
- 42:59Never draft Travis the Gremlin Hunter.
- 43:03Ever in any kind of fantasy draft.
- 43:06So you could take that. You can book it and I promise
- 43:08you, you can staple that on your walls.
- 43:10And remember I said that. So there you go.
- 43:12As far as I'm concerned with your one and only all 22, you
- 43:16definitely got to check it out. Are we going to do that this
- 43:18year again? Are we going?
- 43:19To raise any contact to the commissioner that hasn't gotten
- 43:22back to him. Yeah, well.
- 43:23Mission Gordon, go in the chat, go in the chats, the fantasy
- 43:26guys guy go in the chat and just start spamming him like guys,
- 43:29let's set the schedule up for the draft.
- 43:31So I was actually surprised to learn that this league I'm
- 43:33actually not the commissioner, commissioner in because I'm
- 43:35commissioner in about 16 of these leagues, so.
- 43:39Right. Realistically, I know, I know
- 43:41you have your own, but how many? Like, are you actually in?
- 43:46Probably. Probably about a dozen.
- 43:48A little over a dozen, maybe. How?
- 43:51It's a way of life. It's a way of life, job.
- 43:53I understand that I mean it, it's your job, but like I used.
- 43:59You find yourself. Or at least I find myself when I
- 44:03stick to the same philosophy. I don't, I'm, I'm not the type
- 44:05of guy. I know a lot of people.
- 44:06Sometimes if they're in a lot of leagues, they diversify, you
- 44:09know, so that like if, if, if they get a, a season ending
- 44:12injury to a high profile player, it doesn't sink like 6 of their
- 44:15teams. That's not me.
- 44:17I have my philosophy and I stick to it each and every time.
- 44:20So I end up with a lot of shares.
- 44:23Yeah, they're similar enough to where if, if I know, you know,
- 44:27whoever Chris Godwin is having a great game or something, it's
- 44:31going to be good for the majority of my teams and and I'm
- 44:34going to benefit from it. So I still don't have that like
- 44:37Uber conflicted feeling when I'm watching football because oh,
- 44:41it's good for half of my teams and not good for the other.
- 44:44I stick to my philosophy. He sticks, he loads, he does, he
- 44:47rubs, he does everything, ladies and gentlemen, and he loves
- 44:50Travis Hunter. So I, I mean this guy is
- 44:53wonderful. And by the way, if if you really
- 44:55want to check out some of the things that he's posting as his
- 44:58top five quarterbacks to draft, simply look for Trevor Lawrence
- 45:03as one of the guys for for you to draft in any one of his
- 45:06lists. Thank you very much, Ray.
- 45:08We love you so very much. I'm just kidding.
- 45:11I, you know, I love you. I love busting your balls.
- 45:13I, I love busting Chris's balls. I, I just love it.
- 45:16And yes, I am not a newfound Jerry Jones fan.
- 45:20I think Jerry Jones is a lot more interesting to listen to
- 45:25now because you know, the back end in the background of who he
- 45:28is as a man and what he has done for professional football.
- 45:30That's all I'm saying. I didn't realize how important
- 45:33he has been for the NFL and the National Football League.
- 45:36And now he bought a team that was really not worth anything
- 45:40and the league was worth nothing when he took over in 1989.
- 45:43And he turn the NFL and change the NFL into the multibillion
- 45:47dollar organization and the richest and is bringing in more
- 45:50money when it comes to riches and sponsorships and
- 45:53advertisements because of him. He is the reason why the NFL is
- 45:56where it is today. So it it's very interesting.
- 45:59It's it's very intriguing. And if you're a football fan,
- 46:02you got to check it out. All right, Ray, we love you.
- 46:05Have a very good night, my friend and whatever it is.
- 46:08And by the way, we're doing a fantasy.
- 46:10We're doing a job in the mouth fantasy league.
- 46:12We're going to do it this year. You and your your your buddy
- 46:16over there should be joining it. We should definitely get it
- 46:18together off speedy set it up job will be part of it.
- 46:21Nick Goody will be a part of it. We'll all be a part of it and we
- 46:23will watch you fall flat on your face because you're going to
- 46:25draft the Travis, the one, the Hunter, the Gremlin himself as
- 46:30your number one, number two pick or something of that.
- 46:34Everybody has to do a name that's based on Nathan.
- 46:35Drops dropping the hammer or just breaking news, Goody has no
- 46:42woody bagel hole. Yum, Yum, butt plug glory hole.
- 46:46All right, anyways, we love you, Ray.
- 46:48Thank you very much my bud, and we will talk to you soon.
- 46:52Always a pleasure guys, really appreciate it.
- 46:54Ray Carlo, ladies and gentlemen, the gremlin lover himself, I and
- 46:58and Trevor Lawrence. I mean, I am a little lost
- 47:01tonight. I don't know what's going on.
- 47:03I I've had Vertigo. I threw up twice.
- 47:05I might I am starting to go away.
- 47:08I'm actually feeling a little bit better.
- 47:10So it was almost two hours of this guys, you don't understand
- 47:15how how bad Vertigo could be to you.
- 47:18And it was before the show. I started feeling dizzy.
- 47:21I sat down in the first segment and I, I couldn't even see the
- 47:24screen. I, I was seeing like like three
- 47:26of them. And it was very, very hard for
- 47:28me. And I, I want to apologize for
- 47:30the fan, to the fans, for all the things that I was dealing
- 47:33with in the beginning of the show.
- 47:34I, I, I, it's never happened to me on the show.
- 47:37But when that happens, I can't even explain how sick I got.
- 47:41And during the first sports minute, I ran to the bathroom
- 47:45and I threw up almost twice in the ball and I came back out
- 47:49here and I, I just went through it.
- 47:50I don't even know. Anyways, we got a couple more
- 47:53segments to go, and now, ladies and gentlemen, we call this
- 47:56Jabba Rules, Rules, rules. All right, guys, welcome to
- 48:06another episode of Jabba Rules. Jabba.
- 48:10Time for you to tell us what rules tonight.
- 48:14I'm going to go this argument that we've kind of seen here in
- 48:18the last week with the the ALNVP in what rules for me and and the
- 48:25rules for me this week is going to be are the voters really
- 48:30going to pay attention to average?
- 48:33Because if we look at it, Cal Rally is having a great year.
- 48:36Is he going to set records? Yes, he is.
- 48:38But also are you going to give an MVP to a guy that's hitting
- 48:41240? He only is leading in two
- 48:44categories, home runs and RBIs. And I don't know what the rules
- 48:50are. This is this is one of those
- 48:52things where I had to figure out on the fly and we're going to
- 48:55figure this out on the fly and what they value as far as what
- 48:58is important. Because in every statistical
- 49:01plus year, plus and wars and FRPS and elemental PS and
- 49:07minuses and pluses, Aaron Judge is killing Cal Rally and there's
- 49:12only two. I just don't understand how you
- 49:17don't give it to to judge being in every statistical category
- 49:23other than two that he is not winning.
- 49:26I MLB Network is trying everything and is it going to be
- 49:30like we've talked about before in different sports, do they
- 49:34want to see somebody different win?
- 49:37They haven't never given an MVP to a guy that is hitting 240.
- 49:43So what will the rules be and what will they try and think of
- 49:47next? Because they're going to make up
- 49:49some rule where it's going to going to show what it is.
- 49:52And it'll be interesting this last 35 games where they all end
- 49:56up and what they value and what their rule is and and who's
- 50:00going to be the MVP. So it seems, Jabba, not a lot of
- 50:04clarity, just like you didn't have so much clarity back on
- 50:06your rules. That's why, that's that's why I
- 50:09brought it up because I'm like, I don't, I don't know where they
- 50:11go with this. Like what, why are they doing
- 50:13this? So that that was kind of one
- 50:15when I thought about today, I was like, this kind of makes
- 50:16sense because I don't really know what the hell they were
- 50:18doing with me either, eerily. Reminiscent Jabba Rules for this
- 50:23evening 0 and you know what? I, I don't know, I know
- 50:28everybody's sitting here today and probably I got by the way,
- 50:31we got 2 new listeners today. So I want to give a shout out to
- 50:34Dwaylen and Meredith listening to the show right now.
- 50:37We really appreciate you guys tuning in.
- 50:40And one of one of the, one of the guys said, oh man, I've had
- 50:43vertical before. That is the worst.
- 50:45I don't even know how you're doing the show right now.
- 50:47And I, it's finally, I feel normal.
- 50:50It's not something that you can ever imagine if you've never
- 50:54been through it or you've never had it before or it's something
- 50:56you couldn't even imagine going through.
- 50:58So I just want to let everybody know, I want to apologize to the
- 51:00fans early in the show. I, I think it was OK, but I, I,
- 51:04I don't even know how I did it. I want to apologize to all the
- 51:06fans in the beginning of the show with my Vertigo situation.
- 51:10That usually never happens. It's, it hasn't happened on the
- 51:13show since really for 13 years. It's never happened to me
- 51:17before. I, it got worse probably two
- 51:19years ago. There are days than others that
- 51:23I get it, but I don't throw up like that.
- 51:25I I my face, fucking excuse my language turned purple.
- 51:29I went to the bathroom. I I did what I had to do.
- 51:31I I didn't even think I was going to get through the show.
- 51:33So I want to apologize to the fans with that.
- 51:35But All in all, we got through the show.
- 51:37I don't know how I did it, but thank you to our very special
- 51:40guest. Thank you to Co founder of all
- 51:4222 fantasy football, Ray Kato as well.
- 51:45Thank you to all the fans following us on Spotify and
- 51:48apple. Keep following us, YouTube,
- 51:50Twitter or X, whatever you call it, TikTok, Instagram, all of
- 51:55them. Thank you to all the fans for
- 51:57continuing continuously. Keep following us and we'll be
- 52:00back on Monday. It has been one hell of a week
- 52:05dealing with the cable situation.
- 52:07Excuse me, the cable situation on Monday, but that won't happen
- 52:12next week. Thank God there is hurricanes
- 52:14going on. Hurricane Aaron is hitting,
- 52:17hitting everything right now and, and it's just absolutely
- 52:20demolishing everything that it hits.
- 52:22So hopefully all the families out there that are dealing with
- 52:25the situations with the hurricane, hopefully everybody's
- 52:28taking, taking cover and taking care of their families.
- 52:31So that's a horrible story right now that's going on right now
- 52:34here in the United States. So hopefully all the families
- 52:37are are being taken care of. Yeah.
- 52:40Do we have anything on Monday? Yes, Nathan was able to get
- 52:43Lindsay Berra, who's Yogi Berra's granddaughter, and he's
- 52:46a board member. She's a board member on the Yogi
- 52:49Berra Museum now. Did a lot of Yankees content in
- 52:52the past with espnandmlb.com and was the executive producer as
- 52:56well of a documentary called It Ain't Over about Yogi Berra.
- 52:59I actually watched it. It's a great documentary of Yogi
- 53:02Berra and she was actually on it.
- 53:04It was sensational. Anybody that hasn't checked it,
- 53:06It was in the movie theater. It was in the movie theater for
- 53:09like a couple of weeks, but now you can get it.
- 53:12It was on Netflix. I think you can get it on
- 53:13Netflix right now. It's still on Netflix.
- 53:15If you haven't checked it out. It is a great documentary.
- 53:18The the tale of one man that just absolutely dominated the
- 53:22catching position not only for the New York Yankees, but the
- 53:25MLB and baseball. He is really the face of the
- 53:29catching position. I don't care what anybody says.
- 53:31He was the all around greatest catcher to ever play the game
- 53:35power wise, defense wise and winning as far as I'm concerned.
- 53:39And and the story behind him on how he became a Yankee is pretty
- 53:42unique. He wanted, always wanted to be a
- 53:44Saint Louis Cardinal and the Cardinals passed him up and then
- 53:48he winded up being picked up. Yep.
- 53:51And he, the Cardinals passed him up for I think, I think
- 53:53McCarver. McCarver, I don't know if it was
- 53:56McCarver, but with somebody. And he, he signed with the New
- 53:59York Yankees. And you know what happened after
- 54:02that, so. And he served his country.
- 54:04As he did. And Yogi Berra is a special.
- 54:07I never met him. I know Jabba's met him.
- 54:09I'm sure Nick has met him. I never got a chance to meet
- 54:11Yogi Berra. I met Mickey Mantle.
- 54:13I did. So that was a unique opportunity
- 54:17that I had. I also met Pete Rose, so 2 Hall
- 54:20of Famous, two of the greatest players to ever play the game.
- 54:22I met Derek Jeter and all those guys too anyways, and Java
- 54:24played with them and so did Nick.
- 54:26So that's it. So I know Lindsay, I talked to
