- Big Country: Welcome into the Altitude Problems Podcast. This is episode fifteen. I'm your co host, Big Country, alongside my partner P V big week, big week week tonight. Not tonight, this week. we got NFL week one, what we've been talking about all off season, what we've been so hyped about. but overall, how you doing then? PV: Yeah, doing good. You know, it feels good. The NFL's starting again, you know. Have three days out of the week to look forward to now. Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. One of my probably my favorite time of year because of that. So, you know, I'm really excited, looking forward to it. Big Country: Yeah, honestly like we get a little treat obviously this week, you know, we get four days and then we have college football on Saturday. Like we're we're so back, man. It's it's gonna be great. It's gonna be great, you know, six months, let's be honest, you know. PV: yeah. Yeah, it's gonna be awesome. Big Country: Sides up. do we really need to get anything into anything other than football today or do you think it's just football? PV: Yeah, I mean I'll throw in I'll throw in a little bit of Formula Ones 'cause we did have a our a couple races after a long stint. I'll just talk about the most recent one that just happened. Monza was pretty crazy. started out with Pierre Gasly, the Williams, getting the fastest pole position, so he actually started at one. somehow ended up beating out cars like McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari all for that top spot. But then obviously in the race ended up falling down 'cause they don't really have much much in the long run. You know, they're they could be fast cars, but obviously they didn't last long in the circuit. So we ended up seeing a crazy start with Charles Le Kirk crashing on the third lap really badly. so they had to actually restart the whole race after having to clean up that whole crash and everything. And we saw Kimi Antonelli, the young driver from Mercedes, start at the very back of the grid at P19 and actually ended up winning the race, which is pretty crazy. had a phenomenal race, one of the greatest races we've seen in a while, especially with him being the first Italian driver to win in Italy, with it being in Monza for the last sixty years. So pretty cool race. Big Country: Yeah, not too bad. I I have nothing really to say since I don't really follow along. But let's PV: Mm-hmm. Big Country: let's get kinda to some like a little bit of college football news. after last weekend, you know, there's obviously some crazy headlines, crazy games, you know, Michigan's say BS win over central Michigan. That's right, central Michigan. No, western Michigan. PV: yeah. Big Country: and then we saw L S U roll over Clemson, but like the whole story with Clemson the past few days is whether or not, you know, the SEC is gonna, you know, sue them. Looks like they ended up suing them, and like there's some some court hearing I wanna say on Thursday, but then they came out and said PV: Yeah, let's see. Big Country: today that they're not adding NFL players. Like it's just a whole bunch of bullshit. I've said it before, Lane Kiff is a fucking hoe. So, like, he's he's long been a hoe. PV: Yeah, it it should have never been allowed in the first place. You know, it was crooked from the start, a Louisiana judge overruling the SEC and the NCAA is just you know, it's all a bunch of horse shit. Big Country: All you need is one judge to say yes, man. That's what sucks about college football and just anything in general. You just need PV: Yeah. Big Country: one judge to say yes and you're essentially golden. I mean, kinda what happened with Texas Tech and the whole Brendan Sworesby thing and he ended up, you know, getting so much backlash from that that they literally said, Yeah, we know we're not gonna play him. You know, PV: Yeah. Big Country: essentially. I'm not going into too much detail there, but I mean, tell me what you thought about Thursday night. Biggest game of all, of course, you know, we saw C you. went in an absolute stunner and crazy fashion against Sword Detect. PV: Yeah, it was a it was a wild finish to the game. you know, I thought it was kinda funny that everyone was saying C U always has the craziest, the most cinematic games when really it's just the last like five minutes of the game. 'Cause the r the rest of that game was pretty terrible. and that's kind of one thing I do want to reflect on as well is, you know, it's I'm glad that we came out with the win. it was a good win. but Obviously we want to see a lot more, especially out of the offense. The defense played phenomenally, had a really good effort out there. kept it kept us in that game and gave us that win overall, gave us that chance to have that drive. and even g came up with a blocked field goal after giving up, you know. Unfortunately they give up a long forty yard pass prior to that, but came up clutch in the end with a blocked field goal. And so there's a lot that needs to be fixed on the offense. The only time we ever really saw a positive drive was probably the for not the first drive, but first drive at the end of the first and the beginning of the second when we finally scored. It was one of the few times we saw a lot of positive plays and then obviously that last drive, where we finally managed to get things going, a drive down the field. But we need to be more consistent. we can't just rely on those last second plays, especially since we if that field goal doesn't get blocked, who knows if we even end up winning that game. So a lot needs to be fixed still and obviously Juju Lewis still needs to be a little more comfortable in that pocket. He still has happy feedback there. so hopefully he gets that fixed very soon. Big Country: Yeah. I mean it's it's it was his fourth start overall. I'm I'm not like saying I'm happy with what I'm seeing from Juju. Obviously he has room for improvement. Like you were saying, he kinda second guesses himself, has the happy feet, you know. obviously those things will get better over time, especially with the young guy, he's barely eighteen. but I mean what my takeaway from CU was for one, you know, the big story with us was like how small we were. We weren't very l didn't look very physical in every social media post that we posted because, you know, Dion doesn't like to show that side of the ball, of course, he just likes to show the speed. But we matched their toughness and went above and beyond. That's what stood out to me. We ran we just ran on them and they couldn't stop, which was amazing to see. I haven't seen that out of a Colorado running game since Philip Lindsay. So we're going back almost ten years with that. So I'm really happy with that. And So overall, I mean it's gotta be better across the board. I think the defense played out played outstanding for that being on the field that much too. So I mean we'll see how far this high can take us. I feel like our next big big game is against Northwestern, not this week but next. in their house too. So give another little bat like a little test to see how good we are. 'Cause I feel like we should roll Weber State this weekend by at least thirty. PV: Yeah, and I think one thing too, that you mentioned that I didn't mention was the run game did look really, really good, especially on that last drive. I mean they literally couldn't stop us, so we just kept handing the ball off, kept getting four plus yards every run. Third and two, we didn't care, run the ball, we knew we were gonna get it. So that was really refreshing, really nice to see. It's definitely been a bit a while since we saw that consistency. Big Country: Yeah, just adding a little bit of consistency from Juju. You hit some of those deep balls that I was throwing early. I offense could be very, very good in my opinion. Yeah, that kinda wraps it up for college football, at least for what I have to say. what we have to say maybe, for that matter, unless you want to add anything. PV: No, no, yeah, I that's pretty much it. Big Country: Okay. Yeah. but we can like start talking week one now. we're gonna start like a new segment every week. Hopefully we're gonna stay a little bit more consistent with this, but try and post, you know, every Wednesday so people can see our predictions before the, you know, schedules and everything start rolling, you know, for Thursdays. Obviously we're posting this tomorrow morning. But let's start off right off the bat. We got New England versus Seattle. Seattle's you know, banners banner night. Tell me who you like and what you got for the spread. PV: I'm honestly not too high on New England this year. I do think that New England didn't necessarily take a step back, but I don't think that they took many steps forward. I think that the obviously the biggest jump being adding A. J. Brown. Securing Christian Gonzalez to that deal today was or yesterday was huge. you definitely didn't want to lose him. Kinda sucks that the market was where it was for the time that they had to sign him, but know, it's it is what it is. I think that I don't know, this one's kind of tough because I feel the same way about Seattle. I I'm still pretty high on Seattle. I still think that they're the Super Bowl chance from last year. But I also don't think that they took too many huge steps forward. and I think if anything, Seattle may have even taken a step back. but I think it's more so for their future than anything. you know, obviously getting rid of Kenneth Walker and then getting Jadarian Price, you're kind of getting rid of who was a high quality, consistent running back for you and exchanging it for what ha someone that has a lot of upside in price. they already announced that they're gonna be kind of alternating him with George Helani, who's gonna be their third down back and kind of goal line back too. So it's gonna be kind of interesting to see how they manage that. I think in this one, it's a it's a tough one honestly in this rematch. I think I'll still take Actually I wanna hear your let's hear what you have to say first 'cause honestly this one's this one's one that I'm tough on. I'm I'm s I'm right on the fence with this one. Big Country: This guy. I'm not particularly tough on this one. I think it's a very similar matchup to what we had last year. I don't see New England getting much better than last year. their defense is virtually the same and they couldn't do anything against Seattle last year. I think Seattle comes out with the same type of look and not saying they're gonna roll them by any means, but I think they they cover and they win. PV: Yeah, I mean, I don't know. I think I think the one I think the thing about Seattle is just I don't think that they took a huge step back, but I do think they took a few steps back. There was also three coal and they lose three cool and he wasn't their main he wasn't their main corner Big Country: No. PV: and he d he obviously had his own issues and everything, but that's still a solid player that you're losing on the defensive end. I know. I think I think New England can cover at least I think it'll be a close game. I think it'll be New England plus seven point five. but I think ultimately Big Country: I'm I'm asking for like are you taking this are you taking the three and a half? The I'm I'm I'm asking the market. PV: I wouldn't take Seattle three and a half. Big Country: You're taking Seattle minus three and a half? PV: If no, not the market. If if Seattle wins, I think it's gonna be more like a field goal type of win. Big Country: So you're saying Seattle wins but Patriots plus three and a half? PV: Yeah, I guess I would take their plus three and a half, but it's a close one. Big Country: Yeah, that's not a bad that's not a bad look, honestly. I mean, still kinda going for the same team, but you know, that's but that's that's what this kind of segment's about. Is like how good of ball millers are we? I'll kind of take one in the next one. we'll talk a little bit about Rams Niners. I feel like this is like you know, people are like hyped up the Rams a lot. I feel like this is gonna be a close game division rival, they know each other well. Historically, the Rams have not played San Francisco well. I like the Rams to win still, but not to cover. So PV: interesting. Big Country: I got San Francisco plus three and a half, but the Rams to win PV: I think I have the Rams to win outright and to cover. I think San Francisco has a lot that they're gonna need to figure out this year in terms of their wide receiver core especially. They have, you know, solid wide receivers in Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and then a young wide receiver in Dean Stribling, but it's all new players in the system. So as smart of players Big Country: Yeah, Debo. PV: as they are, Debo, that's what I was thinking of. Big Country: Yeah. PV: I said Chris Godwin, not that's I mixed up Chris Godwin and Debo my fault. And but yeah, they're all new players in that system. Debo obviously has some experience in that system already, which is going to be very helpful for them, but he's really the only veteran in there that has experience in that same system already. And so I think they're gonna have some they're gonna have some stuff to kind of figure out and work through early in the season. And I think the Rams being as talented as they are, it's gonna be really tough to beat them. I think ultimately one of the biggest bet factors in this game is actually gonna be the travelling and everything to Australia. we're already hearing tons of news about how complicated that's all been and how they're losing days and how the practices are right before their flights and everything. fourteen hour flight I think it is. Big Country: What's interesting how the Rams are dealing with it versus the Niners. Rams are coming in twenty four hours before the Niners are already there. So PV: Yeah, which is which is definitely a big difference. and I think that's gonna help the Niners a lot. But ultimately I still think that the Rams are too talented and I do think they're gonna cover in this game. Big Country: Plus no Aaron Donald for week one. Not that that was gonna be the craziest difference anyway, he was probably gonna be on a snap count, so PV: Right, and it's probably because he didn't want to do the Yeah. But I mean, you know, I think that he didn't want to go 'cause he didn't want to go to Australia. I think he saw all those travel plans. He said, I think I'll wait until you guys come back Big Country: Hey, he's getting paid twenty million dollars. He can do whatever the fuck he wants, I guess. yeah, but let's move into to the you know the morning slate on Sunday. The glorious first slate. Okay, wait. I got Pittsburgh and the spread on this one. It went his ass, man. They got all the ki talent, but two is at the helm. I like Pittsburgh. PV: Yeah, I agree. I don't I don't have any opposing I don't think I I have anything to oppose that. They have a solid offense. Jalen Ramsey's been a really good addition at free safety. Moving him outside of corner, it's been giving them a lot of options and how to use him and so yeah, I think Pittsburgh's better on both sides of the ball ultimately. They just cover this one. Big Country: Yeah. Not to s not to mention like Atlanta has like a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. They are just missing that quarterback piece and they have been for years. So PV: Yeah. Big Country: I'm gonna go up with a little bit of an upset on the next one. I like Indy at home plus three and a half. I don't understand why Baltimore is favored, truthfully. Indy was not bad last year. No, Indy is not favored. Baltimore is. PV: Isn't doesn't this say the Indy's favorite? Doesn't? Well then this graphic's wrong. Big Country: Yeah. PV: But that's okay. Yeah, I was gonna I was gonna say, well honestly, Big Country: Make sure that's actually right. PV: yeah, I would take Baltimore, honestly. I think Baltimore they're gonna figure it out this year in their wide receiver room, which is gonna be huge for their offense. I think the one thing that may be a bit of an issue this year for them is their defense. I think their corners are good. They have Nate Hobbs, but I think they're lacking a little bit of depth. I think once you get past their first corner I'm just not super comfortable. Who is their corner to? like are they still have do they still have Marlon Humphrey? Big Country: for yes they have Marlon Humphrey, they might have a Wuzier still. PV: Yeah. Yeah, see Marlon Humphrey's getting too old for me. you know, you get to that point where the young guys are just significantly faster than you, and it's not that you don't know how to play the game, it's just that you physically can't keep up and I think he's hitting that point. Big Country: Yeah, that graphic is wrong. It's Indy plus three and a half. PV: Cindy plus two and a half, okay. Honestly, I still take Baltimore. yeah, I'd still take Baltimore. I think that they'll win this one, they'll cover the spread. I think Lamar Jackson plus Derek Henry being healthy and then, you know, they're figuring it out in that wide receiver room. I Jacoby Lane will be huge for them. I think that I think the Baltimore takes this one. I'm not too high on Indianapolis this year. Their wide receiver room especially. Big Country: I mean Indianapolis is basically rolling out the same team they had last year and they were doing just fine when Daniel Jones was healthy. Baltimore has a bunch of question marks, new coach, new everything. And Lamar was healthy a good amount of the year last year, and so is Derek Henry. And Derrick Henry's got another year. Same with Lamar. Wilkin kind of get it get up at their age. For runners, man, I don't like it. But well. Fuck PV: Yeah, I mean I think I think Lamar's gotten better at throwing the ball with the over the last few years though. I think he started primarily as a runner, but especially last year and the year prior to, we saw him more as a thrower. a lot more lobs and everything. That's why we saw Zay Flowers get over twelve hundred yards last year. I just think the thing with Indianapolis is that wide receiver room just it's lacking too much for me. And I think that's why that's why Baltimore still has the upper hand here. Big Country: Yeah. Yeah. take me away take it away with the Buffalo Houston game. PV: Yeah, I think this one will be a pretty close game, honestly. Is Houston really favorite here? Big Country: lines moved a little bit. Buffalo is now favored by one and a half on the road. PV: Interesting. Yeah, so I mean I'm not I guess I'm not surprised th by the line here. I do think this is gonna be a really close game. Houston's defense is freakish. Big Country: I mean honestly if you want to take it at market line I don't mind that. PV: Yeah, I mean, I'm yeah, I don't know. I mean, I think Buffalo made a lot of improvements this year, honestly. I think DJ Moore's gonna be a big help to their offense. And I think that they still have Khalias Shakir, who not a little a lot of people are talking about. Kincaid is gonna be good. now that he's fully healthy, hopefully he can stay healthy. I think the problem my problem with Houston was gonna be very similar to a lot of these other teams who are having these problems. It's the wide receiver core again. 'Cause once you get past Nico Collins, after losing Jaden Higgins, you know, I really feel like they are really lacking a consistent wide receiver too. They're still trying to figure out who that's even gonna be with all the injuries that they have. Big Country: K Shawn Booty. PV: yeah, and and they went and picked up Keyshawn Booty. My problem with Kayshawn Booty is he doesn't know how to run routes, you know. He's a deep ball menace and he'll catch he'll catch like a forty yard pass probably once a game, but those short yarded situations, the medium routes that you need in a run, he's he's not gonna help you in those situations. And That's you know, obviously where you have Nico, but I still think they need a consistent wide receiver too. So I think Buffalo still takes this one, probably covers the minus one and a half. Big Country: Yeah, I think this is still gonna be a tight game with Houston's defense. They're they were damn near the best defense in the league, if not the best definitely defensive league last year. I think that kinda continues too. I don't see them falling off of a ton. And historically I don't think Josh Allen has played Houston very well. that being said, I still think Buffalo will win this game. Buffalo can't start out slow again this year. They keep doing it, but they you know, stop doing it. And I think the additions along with the coach firing going with the offensive head coach, even though it's the same O. C. A little weary on that, but I like Buffalo to cover one and a half hand to win. PV: Yeah, I mean I don't mind them keeping the EOC. It's not like their offense was flailing. It was a lot of, you know a lot of the big plays last year that they lost on were sometimes because of their defense and then sometimes, you know, they just got unlucky. That's how they got knocked out of the playoffs. The Jalen McMillan pick down the field that, you know, could have gone either way. So I don't know, it's not like they were lacking anything on offense, and I do think that they still improved. So I don't hate them keeping their offensive coordinator. so yeah. I mean, I still think Buffalo takes this one. Big Country: I think with the added weapon of DJ Moore it might help lower the amount of turnovers that Josh Allen had last year, 'cause I I think that was a bigger issue too. PV: Yeah. Big Country: So essentially what lost him the game in Denver. And probably a chance PV: Yeah, exactly. Big Country: of the Super Bowl. Let's be honest here. we'll move on to Chicago PV: Yeah, I mean Big Country: at Carolina. Chicago, I believe, is still favorite at two and a half. now it's three. so you know. Leaving in here. PV: I was comfortable with two and a half. I think that they easily cover a two and a half spread 'cause I do think they win the game. I do think that they are gonna pull some shit like they were pull all of last year and kind of win it off the last second, either field goal or a touchdown. which is why I can't see the spread being that low. but I do still think they take it. I think Carolina will put up a pretty good fight. you know, they didn't make any huge improvements in Carolina, but I do think that another year with the same players in the same system. you know, it has its benefits. So I think we'll see a slight improvement for Carolina this year and they'll be able to keep up, but ultimately Chicago will still beat them in the end and cover that spread. Big Country: Yeah. So you know, this is also not a game in Chicago. I feel like Carolina does keep it a little tighter. I think kinda that year two s not year two system for Carolina, but year two system for Chicago. They're only gonna better. doesn't mean I'm gonna be really rooting for them. But, I do see them winning by a field goal. So I like Chicago minus two and F and sounds you do as well. PV: Yeah, I do. Big Country: now we got Cleveland at Jacksonville. Jacksonville is favored by eight and a half. I'm gonna say Jacksonville to win, but not to cover. I feel like that's just too many points. So Cleveland has still probably has a really good defense. I know they obviously lost Miles Garrett, but PV: no. Big Country: that's not the only reason they were good. So I like plus eight and a half, PV: But it was a big reason. Big Country: but but Jacksonville'll win. PV: I think Jacksonville definitely wins for sure. but I do think I do think Jacksonville covers and I think for one, their defense does take a humongous step down losing Miles Gary. I mean, you lose all that pressure off that edge, you lose someone who's getting double teamed all the time, and without that pressure you're just not forcing mistakes and you don't have that great run defense that he could also add. so I don't know. I do think that Cleveland takes a huge step down on defense and I really, really am not confident in that offense, especially with Deshaun Watson in there. I think that, you know, they'll get some points. I think they'll get probably I think the I think it'll probably end up being like a score of like fourteen to twenty four. So I think Jacksonville can win it by double digits. I would take them here with Jacksonville, you know, having a really good offensive year last year and only taking a step up and now Travis Hunter moving t over to full cornerback. you know, they definitely feel like they're more settled on where they want everyone on defense. So I'm confident in Jacksonville is here and I'm extremely unconfident in Cleveland. So I would still take even with the high spread, I would still take Jacksonville to cover. Big Country: what about I I'll mean I can try to take this one. New Orleans going to Detroit. Detroit, I've learned something over the past few years with their offense and just playing at home. They like it and they usually cover. So I will be taking Detroit minus the points. Like PV: Yeah, they they always cover. I have to agree. Yeah, I have to agree with you. Every time that I feel like it might be a close game, even if the other team feels like they're not that much worse than Detroit, 'cause I am pretty high on New Orleans this year, I don't think that New Orleans would be able to beat Detroit, and I think that I agree with you. They love to run up that score. You'll see them score like a forty, fifty point game, when the other team is only scoring like twenty or something like that. And that's just 'cause they love to play offense. So yeah, I Big Country: Don't get me wrong, I could see New Orleans PV: I I could see them cover. Big Country: somewhat keeping it close in this game tier. New Orleans has highly has been highly improved. I feel like the you know, no wide rece like true wide receiver two might have them for a little bit. But Tyler Shook looked amazing down the stretch last year and we'll see if he continues. Well, Detroit PV: Yeah, yeah, I agree. Big Country: didn't really lose anyone besides Demot. So I don't really see any reason for them to slow down. PV: Yeah, yeah, no, I'm still really high on Detroit and we know that they love to score home game. I just think it's gonna be too hard to stop Big Country: Yeah. What are you thinking about the Jets and Titans then? PV: I'm surprised that this one's so close. I think that a big part of why it's so close is maybe because the Jets have a slightly revamped no, not re not even really. I mean their offense looks slightly better with not yeah, with Geno Smith at QB, just 'cause I don't wanna say consistency, but you have someone who knows the game. so you can at least deliver on some plays more often than a lot of other co quarterbacks that they've had in recent memory will, but I still am not super high on the Jets. You know, it's an entirely new team, all new players, new they do have a new head coach again, right? Big Country: No, they were England. PV: Or did they stick with No they stick okay, so then yeah, I mean still though. I think I'm just not surprised the Jets. There's nothing there's nobody in the offense just yet. I I need I still need to see them prove it because they obviously have the talent. They got a lot of rookies this year. They still have Reese Hall in that backfield and Garrett Wilson as a wide receiver. If Geno Smith can click, you know, I do think that they'll still they might be able to look better, but I don't know. I still think it's gonna take them probably in couple weeks to start clicking and then if they do start clicking maybe we can see something out of them but I don't think it'll be early in the season. and I do think that Tennessee Tennessee I think has been looking really bad throughout preseason but I think that they'll be that they'll be fine by come regular season, you know. I think it's been kind of just a lot of mental struggles. They just need to get in the flow of things and I think that having a nice easy matchup like the Jets week one can help them a lot. Big Country: So you're taking them in the points? PV: Yeah, I would take Tennessee on the points, especially with it being a low spread, you know. What are the odds that they only win by one? Big Country: Yeah, I mean if this game was in New York, I'd maybe take the home team at that point, you know. But I like how much Tennessee has improved in their offseason. I love their coaching hires, I love what they've added. I think yi Cam two Cam Ward year two is gonna be amazing. Jets I see almost nothing in hope, you PV: Right, yeah. Big Country: know. maybe Gino has a great game. Maybe. What are the odds though? Probably none. PV: Yeah, maybe it's just something like the the year, you know, where he decided not to write back. You know, that was early in the year that he started popping up, so you never know if we just have one of those early Geno Smith years again, but I just don't see Big Country: Yeah. PV: it. Big Country: I also love a Robert's solid defense. So I feel like he's gonna eat PV: Yeah. Big Country: against his former team too. I think that's PV: Against yeah. Big Country: a bigger story too than no one's really talking about. Like this dude wants to beat the shit out of them probably. debut those new unis at home, did yeah, they're gonna I feel like they're gonna walk I'd even take that maybe at three and a half too, to be honest with you. PV: Yeah, maybe. Big Country: I honestly think we're getting into our like the last matchup of the first slate, which we Which would be Tampa Bay versinclier might be the best game of the first late, arguably, besides maybe maybe Houston or Buffalo. this is the chance to, you know, fill my holes with points type of game. You know what mean? I like Cincy to win at home. since he hasn't started off a year hot. they're not giving me a real reason to start off hot this year with Jamar being hurt to start the year. I don't know if he's probable, but I think he's likely to play. But I don't see them covering. I see Tampa Bay, you know, keeping it close, but Sincey winning overall. So Cincy sorry. Bucks plus four and a half, but Sincey to win. PV: Yeah, actually am right there with you. I think Tampa Bay is gonna keep it close. I do think they're pretty good. I think a Mecca Bubus toe injury is gonna be a problem. I don't think that he's gonna be at a hundred percent for a lot of the year. But I d I am still really confident in Baker and Baker, you know, whatever receivers he has, he can make it work. They still have a plethora of running backs that they can use. Whoever has a hot hand can make it work. So I don't know, you know. I do think that they'll keep it close. I wouldn't even be surprised if they somehow win it. Baker Mayfield just has that it factor to him, where he can kind of surprise you. And like you said, Cincinnati seems to get off to a slow start every year. So I wouldn't be surprised to see them lose, but I would still ride with you at the same in on the same spot with Cincinnati winning and and then Tampa Bay covering. Big Country: I don't see this game in at all being a blowout either. It will be a one possession PV: Yeah, me neither. Big Country: game. And it'll probably be a possession to win PV: Yeah, I agree. Big Country: in at the end. So let's be honest here. Who doesn't I mean, I feel like it might be one by Fible. So I like those either way. PV: Yeah, I agree. Big Country: but City Four is just a little too much. Now we get to the biggest spread of the week. Chargers at home versus the Cardinals, two shit fan bases. Shout out Matt. I think this is like another instance of just like I know the Cardinals, you know, everyone says they're gonna lose every single game, they're gonna go in 17, but they kept it interesting all last year, and it's basically the exact same team. At least offensively. Not too sure on the defensive side the ball. But I could see them getting into a little shootout with the Chargers. I don't know why. So I'm taking them PV: Yeah. Big Country: plus ten and a half with the Chargers to win. PV: Yeah, I actually kind of am there with you. I'm just not a fan of whenever I see these really high spreads. I feel like for whatever reason the other team seems to somehow keep it close, make it a little more stressful than they need to. and I think Jacoby Brisset, you he's still a veteran back there. He's played against the NFL players and he knows he's played against the Chargers before too. He knows how it all works. So I can definitely see them still able to pull off a pretty good game. They still have a lot of talent on that team, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Yeah, probably the second best tight end in the NFL in Trey McBride. Marvin Harrison just Big Country: Still think he's the best. PV: needs another year. Maybe he steps it up. Michael Wilson's been really, really good at the back end of the year, especially. He was great. And then you went and got Jeremiah Love. So and then obviously it the interesting news, Tyler Algier actually did take that R B one spot over him, at least for the time being. but you did go out and pay him, so Big Country: I give it three weeks. PV: it makes sense. Yeah. I think he starts for a few. They give Jeremiah Love some time, especially since he's still Big Country: I think they're just waiting until he's like fully healthy. Yeah, like PV: has that high ankle sprain lingering. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. And but honestly with all that talent they have, I agree. I think that they can still cover the spread. I think they'll surprise a lot of people in this game. But I don't think they'll win. Big Country: Get yeah. Chargers to win, but them to cover ten and a half. Yeah, nice. Let me know what your excuse me. PV: Bless you. Big Country: thoughts are on Green Bay, Minnesota. In Minnesota, Minnesota is favored by one and a half. PV: I'm really surprised Minnesota's favored. I don't know I don't know. It we haven't really gotten to see Kyler Murray in this offense against a you know, we haven't gotten to see him for a full game, so it'll be really interesting. I think it is a problem for Green Bay given that they're not gonna have they're not gonna have Micah, right? Yeah. So I think Big Country: No. On the pop. PV: that the biggest problem in that is that Kyler Murray is a scrambling QB and you needed Micah especially for containment. So I think that's gonna be where Green Bay struggles the most in this game. I don't think that they'll t have too hard of a time covered with Justin Jefferson. They seem to usually play pretty well against him, except for the occasional yeah, the occasional game that he torches. That's true actually. Yeah, you guys did lose who you Jair Big Country: You'd be surprised. We have no corners this year, man. We need prime Jair Alexander. PV: yeah, Jair was who was your premium corner and who was helping you out a with Justin Jefferson for you some years. So that's not gonna help you out here. Big Country: It's been he's been gone for too long. PV: I think all those factors I do think Minnesota wins covers the spread. I think that there's just not enough containment on that defense to hold Kyler Murray and then given that you don't have Jair to help you out with how good you used to be against Jettus, I don't think I could take Green Bay here. Big Country: China's been gone for years, yeah, right? Like we faced him without Jair last year. PV: Well even so who did Sid who who do you c well who covered him last year? 'Cause you guys did pretty good against him last year. Big Country: It's just the fact that we had a front that actually could get to the quarterback last year. That was the big difference. not having Micah obviously hurts. but that was largely due to PV: No, but still I feel like you had a pretty solid game against him. Yeah. No, I think Mike not having Mike is the biggest deal. Big Country: us just, you know, getting after the quarterback. And the last game of the season, I don't think correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think Justin even played, maybe, 'cause I don't think they were starting someone PV: No, I think he did play, but Big Country: very good. PV: Sure he did play, but they were having some serious quarterback issues last year too. Big Country: I mean he played the last week when Green Bay was wrestling the starters. He had eight for one hundred and then the previous game He had four for forty eight in the game Green Bay one. PV: Yeah, that four for forty eight is the one that I remember. Big Country: So I'm I'm like I I I mean truthfully I'm taking a better team here and I think that's Green Bay. So and I'll give you the points. Like I think Green Bay, I'm not saying they're they're world beaters, but this is a team that you should beat on in your division this year. They're gonna have a decent defense. We know that. Brian Flores has a good unit up there. But there's someone so much uncertainty with that offense. They don't have a clear running back. And Kyler is fucking Kyler Murray. He's gonna show himself eventually. He's gonna throw to a throw to a or linebacker in the middle of the field 'cause he can't see him. So Jordan Love V season starts at two twenty five Mountain Standard Time in Missouri. PV: Yeah, I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. Big Country: Hey, that's that is where I'm gonna win this week. all right. Let's get off my Packers reign. let's go to Las Vegas. Miami is three and a half point dogs on the road. I like Vegas to cover. I think there's again, it's a lot of uncertainty with Miami. Don't know who they're gonna throw the ball to. We know who's running the ball, but how often is he gonna run it if they're, you know, not gonna be passed the ball downfield? War how is good as their line. They have so much uncertainty with their coaches and everything. Las Vegas. They have a little bit of the same, but a lot of the same parts coming back. And I think Kirk is gonna provide some little bit of stability for the first like, you know, half of the season. I think they can get rolling. Maybe maybe win some like these type of games. So I like Las Vegas to cover three. PV: I like Vegas but for different reasons. I don't think that their offense will really be all that great. I think it'll be okay, but I really think that they're gonna need a wide receiver one in that offense. because right now their wide receiver one eight is Brock Bowers, and I think you need to have a compliment to Brock Bowers. I think Trey Tucker being your wide receiver one is not not what you're looking for. You're gonna need that other guy to help him alongside Brock. But I think that the big difference in Vegas is a series, they're revamped defense. I think they added a lot of different pieces on that defense that are gonna make them actually, Big Country: You do. PV: you know, stout. especially as at that linebacker position, their middle linebackers are gonna be really, really good roaming that field. And they're gonna be able to manage the they're gonna be really good game managers, they're gonna be able to tell the defense where to sit and everything. So I think that that revamp defense is a big reason what that why the Raiders take a big step up this year. I think their offense is more than anything in kind of a development phase right now, with Fernando Mendoza obviously being the future quarterback. Ashton Centi going into his second year. and I think that they still have some young wide receivers that they want to work on. You know, they have Jack Besh, Dante Thornton is hurt. they've been waiting for him to come back. And then Brock Bowers is still not even twenty four years old. so they have really, really young offense. They still have a lot of time to develop that offense so I think their biggest difference this year is the defense and with Miami just having question marks all over the place, not only on offense but on both sides of the ball, it's just not gonna be they're not gonna have any answers really, in this game, I don't think. I think the only thing that Miami possibly has going for them, like you mentioned the run game with Devonnachan, but also the fact that Malik Willis has a really good scrambling ability too. I see I think you're gonna see a lot of fake handoffs, bootlegs, RPOs, stuff like that. But ultimately I think it's a lot of things that are gonna need a lot of logistical work in Miami's just they're gonna struggle this year a lot for sure. Big Country: Yeah, so you're like Las Vegas minus three now? PV: Yeah, I still think Vegas three and a half, yeah. Big Country: against the last game of the first afternoon slate, Washington Philly. I like Washington to cover but Philly to win. I can see this goals honestly going both ways. Washington has played Philly very well over the previous years, even without Jaden Daniels. They're very comfortable, you know, with each other's styles and they f kind of fit perfectly. and I think five and a half is a little too much with Philly. I think there's a lot of uncertainty there. you know, you have two new wide receivers, you don't know what type of Jalen Hurts you're gonna get, don't know what type of Saquon Barkley gonna you're gonna get. we do know that defense is pretty good. yeah, I think Washington kind of keeps us a little tight. PV: Yeah, I think honestly Washington wins this one. I'm kind of on Washington's side here. I think Jaden Daniels finally healthy. He actually has some weapons this year outside of Terry McLaurin. I think Chick-Aconqua was a very underrated signing for them. They didn't have a consistent tight end other than you know, Zach Ertz was their most consistent tight end of recent memory and he was already really old and could only really get those short yarded situations. Chick-aconqua actually has speed, you can find him downfield, you can find him on short yarded situations. And then you still have Stefan Diggs and Terry McLaurin to compliment him. I think that their one question mark right now. you know, the d the defense the defense is okay. It's nothing special, it's something to be baffled about, but I don't think it's a big problem. I think that their one big question mark right now is the running back position. And more than anything, it's not that they don't have talent. I think it's just they're not really sure what they're gonna do there. Cause you have Rashad White, you have Bill Krosky Merritt, you have all these players that are kind of very similar players, but none of them are really producing the those short yarded situations that you need. I feel like they don't have a smash mouth running back to get those three, four yards on first down or third and short situation, you just run it type of thing. So I think that's what's missing. But I think Philly has more question marks at the moment. I'm not super, super high on their defense this year. Obviously they still have a couple studs in there. Jalen Carter being one of the biggest ones on that D line, but I I just feel like there's still a lot, you know, Quignon Mitchell's really good corner. They did go and get three Gullen, which I think was a good signing. but you know, I just feel like there's a lot of the a lot of that team is, you know, just not being put together. The offense is where I'm kind of worried right now. It was lackluster last year. They got some weapons this year, but they're most of those new weapons are hurt. Makai Lemon's not gonna start the season at a hundred percent. and now you have Devontae Smith shifting into wide receiver one. Big Country: Wasn't even gonna be wide receiver two anyway, man. PV: Yeah, and I mean even so, I don't know if I'm super confident in Devontae Smith in that wide receiver one position just yet. You know, I do think that he has the potential to be him. But Dantevian Wiggs didn't earn earn that number two spot, Big Country: Yeah, you know what we are confident in facts? Don Tavio Wix, baby. I think that was a great odd. PV: but I think I think the problem with Dontavian Wiggs here is, you know, he's he's small. you don't have a big receiver for those like deep balls and everything, so I don't know. Yeah, he'll get those short yardage catches, man. Big Country: No, he won't. That's the point. He has no fucking hands. PV: I'll tell you that. He has sure hands. Does he really? I always thought he had decent hands. I don't know. I don't watch the Packers that much. Big Country: That dude has fucking rocks for hands, dude. It's fucking annoying. Apparently he's been making PV: So then why are you so high on the siding? Big Country: headlines at camp. Devontae Smith's been raving about him, saying how they fleece the Packers for him. PV: Yeah, he's been looking good. Big Country: but I mean time will tell. Sorry, those big storylines. But I think Devontae can go get those go balls. We've seen it before. His speed and his ability to not give a fuck how small he is is honestly one of his biggest factors sometimes. So PV: Yeah. I think the one Big Country: I don't know, but I still see Philly winning this game at home. PV: the one thing there that I'm a little worried about is he's always gotten gotten those big deep balls most of the time against corner twos. And that's why it's this is gonna be a whole new year for him 'cause he's going against the best corner consistently now, being that wide receiver one in that offense and Big Country: I mean, was AJ Brown really attracting that much more attention than Devontae Smith? PV: Well, he would it doesn't matter it it w I wouldn't say necessarily more attention, but he was getting the bigger guy every time because j so you have a six foot three AJ Brown who has relatively similar speed to Devontae Smith. You're gonna put the bigger corner on him. Now Devontae Smith's gonna have to deal with that bigger size every time because he's not gonna have the option of AJ Brown being across on the other side. So I mean that's w that's where I I'm hoping he'll improve, but I don't know. Big Country: When was AJ Brown really the guy that go go up and get it though? He he was never that guy. AJ Brown was also six one in Devontae Smith's six foot. Like PV: that's that's all they that's all they were relying on. Yeah, but he's a l yeah AJ Brown is significantly more beefy than Devontae Smith. Big Country: Yeah, but one dude can go up and get it. The other one fucking writes writes and reads books on the sideline. PV: They could they were both they were both supposed to go they were supposed to go up and get well supposed to go up and get that ball. There's a reason they got rid of AJ Brown. AJ Brown was supposed to be going up and getting that. Big Country: 'Cause he's a fucking diva. Not because Devontae Smith couldn't be a wide receiver one. I think people have been asking for Devontae Smith to be a wide receiver one for a few years, with all the things with AJ Brown. PV: I think he can be wide receiver one, but I think we're gonna see a huge step back from him at wide receiver one. Big Country: I guess we'll guess we'll see. And then leading up to our last game of the Sunday slate, got Dallas on New York with Dallas favored by three and a half on the road. I'm gonna go Dallas here just because Dallas shits on the Giants every time. Like they have a great record. I have a lot of faith that PV: Yeah, Dallas seems to whoop them every time. And I don't really Big Country: the Giants will turn it around with time, but Dallas's offense is gonna be good this year. Giants, don't know if that defense is gonna be great enough yet to stop that, nor is the offense good enough to beat the newly improved Cowboys defense that they so call off. So PV: Yeah, it's that New York defense I'm not confident in. I mean Dallas just has unbelievable talent on the offensive side of the ball. arguably the two the best one two widerceiver core in the league. so Big Country: I'm still taking Jamar T over both of them. PV: I said arguably. So it's really I Big Country: To make that clear. PV: just I just think that New York just doesn't have the defense to hold Dallas' offense and and like you said, if Dallas' defense really is as revamped as they're saying it is, I don't think especially with New York not even really knowing who their wide receiver two is for sure. I don't think that New York's gonna have enough juice on that offense to keep up. Big Country: So you like Dallas and minus three and a half, I'm assuming? PV: Yeah, I think they win probably by like ten. Big Country: I like it. Odell's first game back, but you know, we'll shit on them. I'll let you PV: I love Odell and all, but Big Country: finish off because this is your team. this is Denver's team. but I don't think they're going to win in Kansas City on first game back. Pardon me feel like the lights are gonna be a little too bright for Denver, low key. And I'm gonna take Kansas City PV: No, I don't think it'll be bad. Big Country: minus two and PV: I'm gonna take Kansas City minus two and a half just 'cause I think Kansas City would win by a field goal in the last second. I don't think the lights will be too bright. I think it'll be an extremely close game and I think that it'll be one that's a game winning field goal type. I think it'll be a very close game. I think Patrick Mahomes is back. Yeah, I mean I think Big Country: I I think you also got a very hungry Denver team too. Sorry, Kansas City. PV: I think my problem with Denver this year I don't know. We haven't we have an incredible O line which is gonna help you know, on with both passing the ball and running the ball. Yeah, la Big Country: You have the best all line in the in the league, dude. PV: last year statistically by far we have the best O line in the league and we didn't lose anyone, so we theoretically have the best O line in the league again, but it's just Kansas, man. Kansas always seems to know how to beat us one way or another. Patrick Mahomes always seems to figure something out. And we had too many close games last year. I think we have another close game here and I think that we just don't pull it off this time. I think similar to last year early in the year, you know, we struggle to close out that game, but then we pick it up later. Big Country: I don't mind I mean I don't like I disagree with you, so I I I I think I just all the injuries that they had last year, all the c inconsistencies, I think they've shored up a lot of that. I think them having a run game this year is gonna be huge. If they can get Kenneth Walker going, that could be huge. you guys also lost some guys on the D line. what John Franklin Myers and I figure like one more, if I'm wrong, right? Just tell me. PV: yeah, I'm not Big Country: Right. PV: too worried about the D line. we lost Jonathan Cooper 'cause 'cause of the exempt list. Big Country: Who's the guy that gets is gonna get suspended probably? PV: Yeah, Jonathan Cooper. I'm not worried about losing Jonathan Cooper. Big Country: Yeah, that's also a big piece. PV: Mm. I don't know. I think he he's a decent piece. I think Nick Benito overtook him in one year for a reason. I think that Jonathan Cooper is good. I don't I don't think I don't I'm not happy to lose him, but I do think that we have a lot of young studs behind him anyway. We had Keith Robinson, we have Jonah Ellis. We have young talent behind him and we develop linebackers like no other. Denver literally has had so many linebackers that have been successful in the last few years. I'm not worried about losing Jonathan Cooper. I do think John Franklin Myers l that one was that one they think is our biggest loss because he was an extremely, extremely good run defender. So those runs up the middle, he was covering those all the time and that's where I think we're gonna see the biggest miss on defense. The edge rushing not so much, but I do think that the middle of our D line's gonna see a little bit of a step back for sure. We need to find someone to cover that hole. Big Country: Also you know, Nick Medito doesn't have the greatest run like PFF run grade. I don't how much weight you put into PFF, but given the fact that you're you know PV: I don't trust PFF at all. Big Country: given the fact that, you know, you lost PV: Mm-hmm. Big Country: one of your best run defenders up the middle and I don't know if Jonathan Cooper was the greatest run defender either, but Nick Medito isn't also. PV: Yeah. Big Country: at least a little at least that's coming from PFF. I don't I didn't watch a ton of Broncos games. I can't really Unless they're fucking red zone, I'm not watching usually. But I'll be watching on that. And honestly, I'm just excited for Waddle's debut, you can Kenneth Walker's debut. It's gonna be a fucking awesome weekend. In Monday. PV: It is. Big Country: That kind of wraps up our predictions for week one. Let's get into our kind of like bets of the week. love this graphic. I'll kinda start off kind of go back and forth with this. but my bets of the week, I got three of them. You can put in a parlay or not. Bears moneyline. I talked about it earlier with the predictions. they're val the value that they're getting on the road, I think, is a little too good to pass up. Minus one sixty four, pretty good odds, if you ask me. I like what the Bears are cooking. I'll root for them in a bet, but I won't for root for them in my heart, that's for damn sure. I'll kind of pig back on another thing I saw said in the prediction market as well. I guess I'll let you go, sorry. PV: I'll go with Parker Washington, fifty plus yards. I'm extremely high on Parker Washington this year, as many other people are. Parker Washington will be Big Country: Right. PV: the wide receiver one in that offense. and I think with how successful their passing game was last year and him catching upwards of nine targets or nine catches a game. Or no, it was I think it was nine targets a game. I was right the first time. He was getting nine targets a game near the back end of last year. He's gonna be ridiculous this year. especially with Jacoby Myers and other options still around him so that he's not getting all the attention. I think he's gonna go off in this entire year and obviously week one in particular, because a lot of teams aren't gonna be ready for the amount of contribution I think he's really gonna be getting in that offense. Big Country: You know, you're not, you know, at all bleeding a little too much into his hype. PV: No, I don't I don't think that the I don't think he is being well, I do think he's being overhyped, but I think he's still gonna he is gonna be really good. I think he's gonna be wide receiver one in the offense for sure. Fantasy wise, I think he'll be top fifteen. I think he'll get a ridiculous amount of targets. He's a big guy, he's a phenomenal route runner. Yeah, I think in I Big Country: It's five ten. PV: think in Yeah, okay, maybe he's not that big. Is he really only five ten? I always thought he was bigger. Huh. Big Country: Yeah. He's two or four but he's fucking five ten. PV: It's that it's that two four that makes him feel pretty big. But he's a he's a phenomenal route runner and he still he makes himself look big. I mean all the catches he was making last year is why I thought he was a bigger guy. Yeah, Big Country: Yeah, it's a great catch rate, yes. So PV: his catch rate is his his arm length is his arm length is actually what I think makes him really feel like a bigger player because he really reaches up and catches those footballs. So I think that he'll be a premier player in that offense, and I think it's a good offense. So I think that he'll be fifty yards week one, I'm slamming. Big Country: Yep. he did hit that five of his last six games. The only time he didn't was against Tennessee, shockingly. Tennessee was ass last year, so. PV: Yeah, yeah. Big Country: but you were right, he did have nine plus targets in those last three games, five plus catches, and eighty seven plus in each game. So if he feeds off that hot streak to end of the year, maybe develop something with T Lot at the end of the year. I'm not gonna hold my hope I'm sorry, I'm not gonna, you know, lose all hope of my boy Brian Thomas, but I feel like this is a make or break a year for him. so we'll see how he goes. going into my second pick, kind of picking back off what I was saying in the predictions, you're gonna disagree with it. The Packers plus one and a half. I don't see why the better team is not favored in this. I feel like this is just great value to look at. just because there's so much unknown with the Vikings. I don't think there's as much unknown with the Packers besides, you know, the void that Michael Parsons had. PV: Running back. running back. Big Country: I mean, it was either an old ass fucking Josh Jacobs that visa's wife or, you know, some young studs. PV: Hey, old ass Shot Jacobs is still cooking last year though. Big Country: Was he? He was hurt half the fucking time. Not really. That PV: Yeah, he was consistent. Yeah, but when he was playing he was consistent. Big Country: dude was annoying as fuck to bet on. The only thing he was good at was scoring at the one. You know? I I I'm not as PV: Exactly. He was getting you those touchdowns. Big Country: big on and I also think Jordan Love's gonna take a huge step forward this year. without Josh Jacobs, like you were saying, he's someone's gonna step up and I don't think it's necessarily just gonna be the running back right behind him. I think it's gonna be a committee system. I Jordan Love's gonna have to use his three weapons that have been developing over the past three years, and one of them is gonna take a huge step, and one of them could be Christian Watson. So we'll end up seeing if that's true or not. But yeah, like this guy, this guy was a fucking bump. Didn't play the last three games of the year. I mean, had how many games over a hundred yards? Zero. PV: He still ate over a thousand though, didn't he? Big Country: Don't know, to be honest with you. No, he did not. He had 929. He was regressing. PV: close enough. Big Country: It's clear as day. but I still like Green Bay plus one and a half. I feel like that's a good good line. And that's also almost even money, so you might even get some plus value out. PV: No. Big Country: Hey, that's that's all you brother. PV: I'll go Steelers minus two point five. I do think that Big Country: So we'll outline. PV: the Steelers are gonna be a lock. Yeah, slight all you know, slightly lower because they were what minus three point five. like I said, I think was it at right at three? Well, it's cause I think well that makes sense 'cause it's Big Country: Three three point five, sorry, yeah, my bad, my bad. PV: yeah. Yeah, well I do think they're gonna win by a field goal at least. I do think they'll win by more, to be honest with you. I think that they're the I think that there's a better team in this matchup. I think Aaron Rodgers and his experience in week one takes them to that win. I think that adding what's his face, Michael Pittman is gonna help Aaron Rodgers a lot. He has two big guys that are gonna be good safety outlets for him this year. Yeah, I just I think that the Steelers there's no way that they lose this one. So and I think that they if they're i they're definitely winning it by a field goal or more, so I'd take them to minus two point five. Big Country: Yeah. I I like that take as well. Pittsburgh, I didn't even take I think three naps even good too. kinda confident I am in Mr. Rogers. I think it also w kind of worth noting, this goes for Kirk Cousins as well. Both of these guys are coming off this is now the second year removed from the Achilles injury. They always say the second year after is the better than first. So you just feel like your inner body better. I feel like we might see that. Out both of them a little bit. I'm not saying Rogers is gonna fucking go rush for three touchdowns, obviously. But I think you're gonna see him a little bit more maybe loose. and not relying so much on dinking and dunking, maybe maybe rolling outside the pocket. Never know. Because he was doing it out with the Jets. So see. I guess this is year three actually after the PV: Yeah. Yeah, we definitely want to see some more movement out of him. Big Country: Achilles. PV: Damn, so his time's passed. Big Country: Nah, he's fine, bro. There's a stud. Don't care. PV: Yeah. Big Country: so let's get into my third pick. I like Commanders plus five now. Kind of going back on that projection again. but Commanders, they keep it tight against Philly. They always have the past few couple years. I think Jaden Daniels and kind of like that, with another receiver, I think who's better than Debo. And just a healthy Jaden, hopefully. I think they keep it tight with the Eagles with their uncertainty like we were saying earlier, and that's also almost at even money, so not a bad pick in my opinion. What do you think? PV: Yeah, you know, I agree with you on this one. I said that the commanders were gonna win this game, so I think that the commanders take this one. I think they made more improvements than the Eagles, and I think the Eagles, if anything, have taken a step back. And like you said, they know the Eagles pretty well already, so they're gonna they're gonna put up a good game regardless. Big Country: Yeah. And if you combine all that, those three picks by yours truly big country. Plus four seventy on FanDuel, maybe put up a little thirty percent boost on there. Probably getting the five and sixes. and let's be honest, it's probably not gonna hit. But it might. So PV: Probably 'cause of the back racing. Big Country: think honestly if there's anyone to fuck me it would probably be the commanders. So I'm very confident in Green Bay PV: All righty. Big Country: winning this game. I I don't see in any okay there's a world voice in Packers do. But not many worlds, you know? So PV: Yeah. My last leg's gonna be Lad McConkey, five catches. I think Lad's gonna be heavily involved in that new Mike McDaniels offense. I think that you're gonna see a lot of screen passes, short routes, and then the sudden, I don't know, corner to mid route go Lad McConkie's way. I don't think you'll see him on a lot of deep balls. I think that's obviously gonna rely that's gonna lie in Quinton Johnson's hand. So I think he gets a lot of those short yardage situations, gets a l racks up a lot of catches, And especially with Mike McDaniels and his creativity, he's gonna try to make some sort of screen go in his way so that he can make something happen. So I can easily see him getting five catches in this first week. Big Country: As an owner of Ladd in my flex, I hope he does this as well. PV: Yeah. Big Country: I think against Arizona, I think there's not really any corner on that team that I think can reliably guard Ladd one on one. PV: Or sorry, four eighty five, I dyslexia, sorry. Big Country: a lot of a lot of value in each of these picks, I think. if you trust the boys over at altitude problems, I think you'll do just mine.
